- 2:07Speaker 8: one and on it. Steve Harvey got a radio show man, Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 8: I do.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Man.
- 2:14Speaker 2: God been good to me. Man, he been so good
- 2:17Speaker 2: to me. Wow. And and you know why I say
- 2:23Speaker 2: it like that.
- 2:24Speaker 8: What makes it amazing is because it's been in spite
- 2:26Speaker 8: of myself.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I mean, you know what I mean by that. I
- 2:31Speaker 2: mean I mean that he's been good to me.
- 2:35Speaker 8: In spite of all the craziness I've done, all the
- 2:39Speaker 8: foolishness I've gotten myself involved with, and not only got
- 2:43Speaker 8: but knowingly got myself involved with all of the stupid
- 2:49Speaker 8: decisions I've made. Put all that to the side, and
- 2:55Speaker 8: he's still been good to me. Bring it all and
- 2:58Speaker 8: put it on the plate and he's still being good
- 3:00Speaker 8: to me.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Man.
- 3:01Speaker 8: That's amazing man. And I'm sure there's a lot of
- 3:04Speaker 8: people that can say the exact same thing. I mean,
- 3:06Speaker 8: come on, man, I got you. Ain't famous, I got
- 3:10Speaker 8: ain't nobody, got no microphone in your face, I got nobody,
- 3:12Speaker 8: ain't got no spotlight on you. I got nobody, ain't
- 3:15Speaker 8: got no camera in your face. I got nobody. Probably
- 3:17Speaker 8: ain't nobody blogging about you. But let me tell you something.
- 3:20Speaker 8: If you break it down and be real about it, Oh,
- 3:23Speaker 8: you done done something outside the box. You done done
- 3:26Speaker 8: something ladies included. You've done something out the box. You
- 3:29Speaker 8: woke up and went what did I do that for?
- 3:33Speaker 3: Oh?
- 3:33Speaker 2: We've all done it.
- 3:35Speaker 8: So with all that said and done, God still loves you, man,
- 3:40Speaker 8: God still loves you, still wants the best for you,
- 3:43Speaker 8: still considers you his child, and its willing. It's willing
- 3:48Speaker 8: man to show you your future. He is willing to
- 3:51Speaker 8: show you your life. He is willing to let you
- 3:54Speaker 8: take a peek at the blueprint.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Man.
- 3:57Speaker 8: That's an amazing God right there. Because I know I
- 4:01Speaker 8: couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. I'm glad it's him,
- 4:05Speaker 8: you know today, Man, I want to encourage brothers out there.
- 4:08Speaker 8: And when I say brothers, I'm talking to everybody that's
- 4:10Speaker 8: of the male species. I don't care about your color.
- 4:13Speaker 8: I really really don't. I don't even have time for
- 4:15Speaker 8: that in my day. Matter of fact, Sometimes when you
- 4:18Speaker 8: get to discuss and race, I just get tired of it.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Sometimes I just wish, you know, some days I just
- 4:23Speaker 2: want to wake up, just do me.
- 4:25Speaker 8: You know, I got what the skin tone is, I
- 4:29Speaker 8: got that, But I just want to wake up some
- 4:31Speaker 8: days and just going by my business and do me.
- 4:33Speaker 8: I don't want to have to deal with it somebody.
- 4:35Speaker 8: I get tired of talking about the issues. Ain't gonna
- 4:37Speaker 8: make them go away, But sometimes I get tired. So
- 4:39Speaker 8: to day, I'm talking to brothers, all the brothers of
- 4:41Speaker 8: the male species. I'm talking about men today. Man, if
- 4:47Speaker 8: you ain't doing it all, if you're feel an empty man,
- 4:50Speaker 8: start today completing your process and your journey. And you
- 4:54Speaker 8: know what I'm saying by that, if there's a part
- 4:57Speaker 8: of you just missing as a man, and now, man,
- 5:01Speaker 8: I'm talking to you. So you know, some ladies listening,
- 5:04Speaker 8: but you know what I'm talking about. It's some part
- 5:07Speaker 8: of you that's missing as a man if you ain't
- 5:10Speaker 8: really been in touch with your kids like you're supposed
- 5:13Speaker 8: to now for whatever the reason is. And please know,
- 5:16Speaker 8: I do understand how sometimes women can use children as pawns.
- 5:23Speaker 8: It happens all the time. I've been through it. I've
- 5:26Speaker 8: been through it, man, I know what it feels like,
- 5:29Speaker 8: man to wanna do something. But because you ain't got this,
- 5:32Speaker 8: or you ain't doing this, then I ain't gonna let
- 5:34Speaker 8: you have this. You gotta fight through, fellas, you got
- 5:38Speaker 8: to fight through. You got to fulfill your end of
- 5:43Speaker 8: the deal. And I got how difficult they making it.
- 5:47Speaker 8: I got how man, it's gonna come with some drama,
- 5:49Speaker 8: but you gotta fight through it, because man, we need
- 5:53Speaker 8: fathers to be fathers. That's really what we need. If
- 5:56Speaker 8: you're a man out there and you are a father
- 5:58Speaker 8: of a child, we need you do your job. I'm
- 6:02Speaker 8: talking about our community, our situation, us as a people,
- 6:08Speaker 8: all of us. We need you to be a father period.
- 6:14Speaker 8: Hey man, I ain't coming down on you. I'm just
- 6:17Speaker 8: your boy. I'm your man. And I've been in the
- 6:20Speaker 8: same predicament, in the same hole myself where I couldn't
- 6:24Speaker 8: get to them, where they were use as pawns, where
- 6:28Speaker 8: they were told things about me that wasn't even true.
- 6:30Speaker 8: I've been through it. You can't see them, you don't
- 6:34Speaker 8: come up. Okay, okay, I got all that. You ain't
- 6:36Speaker 8: sent this. You ain't okay, Hey got all that. If
- 6:40Speaker 8: you can call them sometimes, tell them you thinking about them,
- 6:45Speaker 8: tell them you love them. If you can get a
- 6:47Speaker 8: letter to them, if you can get a message to
- 6:50Speaker 8: your children through one of your relatives, start the process today.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Be a father. It's your job now.
- 6:59Speaker 8: Because you ignoring him, or you acting like they ain't
- 7:02Speaker 8: over there, or you toe backed them out of your
- 7:05Speaker 8: mind because the situation got too difficult.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I got that.
- 7:08Speaker 8: I got that, But you got to step up and
- 7:11Speaker 8: be fathers. You got to write a letter. You gotta
- 7:14Speaker 8: send the money. If she talking about it. If you don't
- 7:16Speaker 8: send all the money, you ain't gonna see Send what
- 7:18Speaker 8: you got if she if taking it over there is
- 7:20Speaker 8: too much drama, send it through a relative, give it
- 7:23Speaker 8: to a mama, give it to a sister, ask her
- 7:25Speaker 8: to take it over there and do something for the baby.
- 7:27Speaker 8: Because okay, okay, you can't deal with the drama. I
- 7:30Speaker 8: got that, and I know it's much to pay when
- 7:33Speaker 8: you have to deal with that, because I clearly I
- 7:36Speaker 8: know hell have no fury like a woman's going. Please know.
- 7:40Speaker 8: I know that, Please know. And that's a real statement.
- 7:43Speaker 8: That ain't no saying, Steve got That's that's the truth.
- 7:47Speaker 8: But do what you gotta do. Sometimes you have to apologize.
- 7:53Speaker 8: Sometimes an apology goes a long way to your children.
- 7:57Speaker 8: Just say look, because I've made this apology before. Hey man,
- 8:01Speaker 8: look I'm sorry. I wasn't there for you. I was
- 8:05Speaker 8: out grinding and hustling and I wasn't paying attention to
- 8:08Speaker 8: you and I should have been. And I apologize now.
- 8:12Speaker 8: I imagine, man, there's days where you was telling people
- 8:15Speaker 8: I was your father up at the school and they
- 8:16Speaker 8: wasn't believing you. I apologize for sending you through that.
- 8:20Speaker 8: But now, ma'am, I tell you what. I made some
- 8:24Speaker 8: mistakes and I got it together. I want me and
- 8:26Speaker 8: you to move forward as father and son. I want
- 8:29Speaker 8: me and you to move forward as father and daughter.
- 8:32Speaker 8: I want to be in your life now. I ain't
- 8:34Speaker 8: got a lot, but guess what, I know a lot
- 8:36Speaker 8: because if you a man and you a father, please know,
- 8:39Speaker 8: you know something that child don't know. You have information.
- 8:42Speaker 8: You have experience. That's all they need sometimes to have
- 8:46Speaker 8: somebody to talk to. That daughter yours just needs to
- 8:49Speaker 8: know from her daddy, how should a man treat me?
- 8:53Speaker 2: Dad? What should I look for in a man?
- 8:56Speaker 8: See, they'll take that information from you because they know
- 8:59Speaker 8: it's come from the right place. And then you know
- 9:02Speaker 8: that your son needs you because you know how difficult
- 9:06Speaker 8: it is if you're trying to be a man without
- 9:08Speaker 8: your daddy. You already know how funky that is, right there.
- 9:13Speaker 8: So come on, man and meet your mistakes and move forward.
- 9:16Speaker 8: Call your kids, write a letter, get a phone number
- 9:19Speaker 8: on them, send a text, drop a message, send a
- 9:23Speaker 8: note up to the school.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Do something. Man. If those of us that.
- 9:28Speaker 8: Are fathers would just be fathers, I could shut the
- 9:32Speaker 8: minering camp down.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 9:36Speaker 8: I will say, I apologize because I don't want you
- 9:38Speaker 8: to think I'm coming down on you. But I've been
- 9:40Speaker 8: through this myself. I ain't really coming down. I'm just
- 9:43Speaker 8: reminding you this is our job. These are our children,
- 9:47Speaker 8: this is our responsibility. We are men. There is no excuses.
- 9:52Speaker 8: You don't get you don't get cut a brake on

- 21:17Speaker 10: But right now it is time to ask the clo.
- 21:22Speaker 10: This one's from Rose and Manchester. Rose writes, my husband
- 21:26Speaker 10: has a pot belly and he has the nerve to
- 21:29Speaker 10: talk about mine. He said I need to hit the gym,
- 21:32Speaker 10: and I said he needs a tummy tuck. He said
- 21:35Speaker 10: I was mean for saying that. Why is it a
- 21:37Speaker 10: double standard with weight?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Men can be fat, but we can't. Well, hold on,
- 21:42Speaker 1: hold on, hold on?
- 21:44Speaker 8: Your husband got a pot belly? Why y'all wrote this
- 21:47Speaker 8: is show about that book? Okay, well guess guess I'm
- 21:51Speaker 8: supposed to know what that's about.

- 21:59Speaker 8: right hill, Yeah, let's see what Steve say about his Well,
- 22:04Speaker 8: here's the deal.

- 22:09Speaker 8: Men do use double stating now, but he has a
- 22:15Speaker 8: pot belly, and he complains about your pot belly. Your
- 22:20Speaker 8: pot belly can be explained. You can always use your
- 22:24Speaker 8: traditional baby wait yes, baby wait, yeah, I know wonder
- 22:31Speaker 8: who are using that?
- 22:32Speaker 2: They baby party?
- 22:35Speaker 8: Now I know a woman who's been saying this baby
- 22:38Speaker 8: waits and the baby party.
- 22:40Speaker 2: So I've seen that.
- 22:41Speaker 8: Now I can't say nothing because I ain't never had
- 22:43Speaker 8: one now here is what the scary part for him
- 22:47Speaker 8: is he got a pot belly.
- 22:49Speaker 2: He looked like he and his first.
- 22:51Speaker 8: Trimester and there will be no baby, right, So you
- 22:56Speaker 8: know you gotta you gotta understand that part too.
- 22:59Speaker 2: I don't really know why men do that today.
- 23:02Speaker 10: Women, Ye know that's not nice insecurity.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Well you know, yeah, jealousy.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Well this I heard.
- 23:11Speaker 8: I heard a great argument between the hairdresser and her
- 23:14Speaker 8: husband one time. She was over here with Marjorie's hair,
- 23:17Speaker 8: and I heard that she had cut her hair off
- 23:20Speaker 8: short like Shirley. Shirley had cut cut a Shirley collar
- 23:23Speaker 8: hair and you know, they was over there talking about
- 23:25Speaker 8: how nice it was.
- 23:27Speaker 1: She said.
- 23:28Speaker 8: Her husband, who was overweight, he told her he didn't
- 23:33Speaker 8: like her new hairstyles short. He liked long hair. She
- 23:38Speaker 8: looked at him and said, well, I like muscles. So
- 23:41Speaker 8: we were each other. Yeah, you know, so you know,
- 23:47Speaker 8: I understand what you like and all of that there,
- 23:50Speaker 8: and that's just find it there.
- 23:52Speaker 2: But I like muscles, so you might want to use
- 23:55Speaker 2: that one on you.
- 23:57Speaker 12: He's gonna just get mad at him.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Well he be mean, yeah, Well he still got stumble
- 24:07Speaker 2: all right.
- 24:07Speaker 10: Moving on, to Alexandra in Greensboro. Alexander writes, my husband
- 24:12Speaker 10: cheated on me when we first got married and we
- 24:14Speaker 10: worked things out. His side piece is still on social
- 24:17Speaker 10: media making videos and calling me names. Four years later,
- 24:21Speaker 10: my husband advised me to ignore her.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Why won't she go away?
- 24:26Speaker 8: Well, now, once again, I guess y'all coming to me,
- 24:30Speaker 8: because who would know more about social.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Media than me?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Well?
- 24:37Speaker 8: Here I am again. Yeah, I'm a professional at this
- 24:42Speaker 8: one right here. I'm professionally at both of pot bellies
- 24:44Speaker 8: and of social media.
- 24:46Speaker 2: So I would say, your husband is right. Ignore her.
- 24:50Speaker 8: People on social media only have power over you if
- 24:52Speaker 8: you give it to her. She could talk about you
- 24:54Speaker 8: for four years. You still got to your man. Y'all
- 24:57Speaker 8: still married?
- 24:59Speaker 1: She just mad?
- 25:03Speaker 8: Hell, have no fury like a woman's scoring. That's a
- 25:05Speaker 8: true statement. I used to I thought it was a scripture.
- 25:09Speaker 8: I just found out about five six years ago that
- 25:12Speaker 8: that wasn't a scripture. I thought it was difficult, Okay,
- 25:18Speaker 8: it's it's true as hell, though.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it is true.
- 25:22Speaker 8: Facts you know, like two plus two ain't in the Bible.
- 25:25Speaker 8: But if it was, Dad would make sense with it.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Because it is this morning.
- 25:30Speaker 7: It is.
- 25:32Speaker 8: All right, because I'm had no sleep. I've been up
- 25:36Speaker 8: since yesterday.
- 25:37Speaker 15: Oh that's what it is, okayposed to be tomorrow, but
- 25:44Speaker 15: I'm doing blood work today and I'm hungry as hell
- 25:47Speaker 15: because I've been fasted since last night.
- 25:51Speaker 10: All right, here we since well, all right, this one's
- 25:58Speaker 10: from Marquees and Tuskegee.
- 26:00Speaker 12: Marquez says, my wife Fies gently.
- 26:02Speaker 10: Used designer items on a on a resale website. For Christmas,
- 26:07Speaker 10: she bought a pair of Christian Lubitan sneakers for me.
- 26:11Speaker 10: They are in great condition, but I don't want used shoes.
- 26:15Speaker 10: Can I sell them and give her the money back?
- 26:21Speaker 2: I don't understand. Can you sell them and give her
- 26:24Speaker 2: the money back? Yeah? Well, whose shift is?
- 26:26Speaker 1: It's his gifts. She gave it to him, but he
- 26:29Speaker 1: doesn't want to care for you, so you don't have
- 26:32Speaker 1: to get the money back. It is what you're saying,
- 26:34Speaker 1: because it's just it was a gift.
- 26:35Speaker 16: Yeah you keep Oh well, I don't know.

- 27:04Speaker 17: deputante ball and it and it had to come from
- 27:09Speaker 17: Men's warehouse and those all you know, the shoes, the oh,

- 27:25Speaker 17: That's how I looked. But how did I feel though?
- 27:27Speaker 17: How did I feel?
- 27:30Speaker 1: You were going that night? I kept talking about the tuxedough.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Somebody had where yours was.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Just exactly do that anymore?
- 27:42Speaker 8: Yeah, when you were zipped your past, somebody else had already.
- 27:46Speaker 2: You're not trying to be fair.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Too far? I said, far?
- 27:56Speaker 2: All right?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Last one move on?
- 27:59Speaker 13: Uh.
- 27:59Speaker 1: This was from DESI and the d m V.
- 28:02Speaker 10: Des says, my husband loves reality shows, loves reality shows,
- 28:05Speaker 10: and I don't. He often tells me that he likes
- 28:08Speaker 10: someone's hair or an outfit a lady had on. I've
- 28:12Speaker 10: told him to keep it to himself. I don't want
- 28:14Speaker 10: to hear it. He'd be hurt if I tell him
- 28:16Speaker 10: how I feel about Lebron.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Should I do it?
- 28:19Speaker 8: Don't do that, lady, because you got a chance of
- 28:23Speaker 8: looking like one of them house black. He ain't got
- 28:27Speaker 8: a shot in hell. No, don't do that. Put that
- 28:32Speaker 8: ture in that bro like that, donder that under that.
- 28:36Speaker 8: He ain't got nowhere he can go make ninety two
- 28:38Speaker 8: thousand the game. None of that gone gone with all that.
- 28:42Speaker 8: Don't do that to the man.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Don't do him like that.
- 28:46Speaker 12: She'll crush him.
- 28:50Speaker 10: Well, she's She told him she didn't want to hear it,
- 28:52Speaker 10: and he kept He keeps telling her, so hopefully she
- 28:55Speaker 10: won't do it.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Hopefully, No, don't do that to him.
- 28:59Speaker 10: All right, coming up, we'll have some entertainment news for
- 29:01Speaker 10: a you right after this.
- 29:03Speaker 12: You're listening morning show.
- 29:08Speaker 3: All right.
- 29:08Speaker 10: So, Janet Jackson's fans created a short lived beef between
- 29:12Speaker 10: Beyonce and Janet Jackson. It was all because Beyonce's mom,
- 29:16Speaker 10: Tina Knowles, liked an Instagram post that batched Janet, saying
- 29:20Speaker 10: her concert tickets were more expensive than Beyonce. After Tina's
- 29:24Speaker 10: realized what she had done, she posted a video to
- 29:27Speaker 10: explain herself. Tina let everyone know that there is no beef.
- 29:31Speaker 10: She simply made a mistake and.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Liked the post.
- 29:34Speaker 12: By accident.
- 29:35Speaker 1: We've all done that. Take a listen.
- 29:37Speaker 18: Being on the other side of that, I know better
- 29:39Speaker 18: than anyone what a great production cost. And I would
- 29:43Speaker 18: never criticize another artist, let alone Janet Jackson.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Who is the queen of productions.
- 29:49Speaker 18: What I am guilty of is going through when I'm
- 29:52Speaker 18: in a big hurry and I don't have time to
- 29:53Speaker 18: really read and liking things because I trust that these
- 29:57Speaker 18: are people that I follow.
- 29:58Speaker 1: That was a big mistake.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Never do that again. All right?
- 30:12Speaker 11: To scroll?
- 30:13Speaker 8: You know how you be scrolling and I don't slowly?
- 30:16Speaker 8: You tap it again? I put hard on stuff.
- 30:19Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, it's crazy, all right? Moving on, Steve to
- 30:24Speaker 10: our buddy stephen A. Smith, the great debater when it
- 30:28Speaker 10: comes to sports. Right, we can all agree on that,
- 30:30Speaker 10: But the question is can he handle Donald Trump?
- 30:34Speaker 1: In a heated debate.
- 30:35Speaker 10: In a recent interview with Howard Stern, stephen A said, quote,
- 30:39Speaker 10: I'd eat him alive. I'd eat Trump alive. I wouldn't
- 30:43Speaker 10: run for the presidency, but I'd debate Trump any day
- 30:46Speaker 10: of the week, named the time and the place I'd
- 30:49Speaker 10: show up.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Unquote.
- 30:51Speaker 10: Stephen A said he has no desire to run for office,
- 30:55Speaker 10: but he's fully confident in his ability to outclass Donald Trump.
- 30:59Speaker 10: He also revealed that he's not aligned with the Democratic
- 31:02Speaker 10: Party or the Republican Party. He's a registered independent and
- 31:06Speaker 10: he is unimpressed by Trump and President Biden.
- 31:10Speaker 12: Right now.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Mum, hm, that's Stephen A.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Smith.
- 31:14Speaker 17: I can see Stephen A debating though. I can see
- 31:16Speaker 17: him doing that.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I can see it.
- 31:18Speaker 17: Oh you're quite frankly, yeah, I can see that.
- 31:24Speaker 12: Here's some moving on to this. No comment on no
- 31:28Speaker 12: comment on that, Steve, you know.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I mean, I mean, but you can beat him debate.
- 31:32Speaker 17: And okay, four words, very what are they going to
- 31:40Speaker 17: debate about?
- 31:41Speaker 1: Though? Politics? I mean, that's the only thing you can't.
- 31:45Speaker 8: You can't debate against Donald Trump with politics because he.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Don't he don't talk well.
- 31:52Speaker 8: Insults and he don't know no, no, no, no nothing.
- 31:59Speaker 8: He goes on file, he's gonna end up talking about
- 32:01Speaker 8: he gonna end up saying something personal about Steven.
- 32:03Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 32:04Speaker 8: Insults and then and then it's then to hold debate
- 32:07Speaker 8: on go black, all right.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Some great news.
- 32:15Speaker 10: Director Kenya Burris opened up about the Richard Pryor biopic
- 32:20Speaker 10: that's currently in development. Bearris described it as a ten
- 32:24Speaker 10: part biographical series that spans the life of Richard Pryor
- 32:28Speaker 10: from the cradle to the grave. Bears added that the
- 32:31Speaker 10: television series is in early stages of production, so decisions
- 32:35Speaker 10: about casting have not been fiolized finalized. We remember a
- 32:38Speaker 10: while back Mike Epps said he wanted the part, So
- 32:42Speaker 10: we will see if he gets the role or not,
- 32:44Speaker 10: and see if I gotta ask you.
- 32:46Speaker 17: Would be good for it. Tommy, I don't know. I've
- 32:52Speaker 17: never Pride did himself. When he didn't when he played himself,
- 32:57Speaker 17: that just that did it for me.
- 32:58Speaker 1: When he did Joe Jo Jojo dances that once once an.
- 33:04Speaker 17: Artist does himself, I don't really seem that nobody else
- 33:08Speaker 17: can do. You're gonna top the person that did himself.
- 33:12Speaker 17: I mean, it's just it's impossible.
- 33:17Speaker 1: You should do old, the older Richard Prior, Steve.
- 33:20Speaker 8: You look like which one you're talking about? The dead one?
- 33:26Speaker 8: How because we have to be here what I'm Richard
- 33:32Speaker 8: Pride Heaven. I'm sorry, Richard Pride meets Jesus is Gold.
- 33:51Speaker 2: I'm just realis you know.
- 33:52Speaker 8: I've been really kind of looking at this h just
- 33:56Speaker 8: this morning because I feel like I gotta I'm gonna
- 33:58Speaker 8: share something with y'all.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so you can't talk on your own show,
- 34:06Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying?
- 34:07Speaker 2: Hell no, i've been I ain't been able to do that.
- 34:11Speaker 12: You haven't been able to say exactly what's.
- 34:13Speaker 1: On your mind, what you really want to this show? Yes,
- 34:17Speaker 1: that's what you need.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Show.
- 34:20Speaker 2: We still alone, ain't we?
- 34:22Speaker 3: Right?
- 34:23Speaker 8: Okay, wait a minute, you wait a minute, Hold up,
- 34:27Speaker 8: wait a minute. Y'all think that I've been sitting over
- 34:30Speaker 8: here being able to say exactly what I wanted to say?
- 34:35Speaker 16: Well, no, we know you everything, not on every topic,
- 34:39Speaker 16: but this the Richer Prior movie.
- 34:43Speaker 10: You've edited yourself. You've censored yourself. We've censored you because we.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Know y'all have censored me.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Way bold anapsis, Oh yeah, we know. I thought and
- 34:54Speaker 1: will never stop, will never stop.

- 54:07Speaker 10: Subject, Am I Dating Cinderella? Dear Stephen Shirley. When I
- 54:12Speaker 10: met my new friend, it was like a fairytale romance.
- 54:15Speaker 10: I'm twenty eight and he's thirty five and perfect for
- 54:18Speaker 10: me because I prayed for an older man but not
- 54:21Speaker 10: too old. He has a photography studio and I booked
- 54:24Speaker 10: him for a Christmas photo shoot for me and my daughter.
- 54:28Speaker 10: After the photo shoot, he asked me to have dinner
- 54:30Speaker 10: with him, so my daughter and I went to dinner
- 54:33Speaker 10: with him. After that, he planned dinner dates with us
- 54:36Speaker 10: every night that week. I couldn't wait for my daughter
- 54:39Speaker 10: to go to her dad's later that week so I
- 54:41Speaker 10: could spend quality time with my new friend. He had
- 54:44Speaker 10: kept telling me how good he was in bed, and
- 54:46Speaker 10: I couldn't wait to see It. Was supposed to go
- 54:50Speaker 10: down at his house, but it was raining really badly,
- 54:53Speaker 10: so he came over to my house.
- 54:56Speaker 12: We didn't waste time talking.
- 54:57Speaker 1: We went straight to bed.
- 54:59Speaker 10: He had exact exagerated a little bit on his skill levels,
- 55:02Speaker 10: but it was still good for an older man. Since
- 55:06Speaker 10: the weather was bad, I thought he would spend the night.
- 55:09Speaker 3: He didn't.
- 55:10Speaker 10: He got up around eleven thirty and got dressed quickly,
- 55:13Speaker 10: like he was late for work or something. I told
- 55:16Speaker 10: him to call me when he got home, but I
- 55:17Speaker 10: didn't hear from him until the next day. He said
- 55:20Speaker 10: he missed me and he asked if he could see me.
- 55:23Speaker 10: I said we could meet for dinner. He said he
- 55:25Speaker 10: wanted to pick up food and eat at my house instead.
- 55:28Speaker 10: We ate, then we had sex, and then he told
- 55:31Speaker 10: me that he needed to be home by midnight. I
- 55:34Speaker 10: told him that it was not cute to have sex
- 55:37Speaker 10: and run out. He apologized, but said he really had
- 55:40Speaker 10: to go. He has done this four times, and I
- 55:42Speaker 10: wonder what's so significant about midnight. He told me to
- 55:46Speaker 10: chill and learn to live in the moment. What's up
- 55:49Speaker 10: with this man? Am I dating Cinderella? No, not Cinderella
- 55:55Speaker 10: or Cindefella, none of those. He's just married.
- 55:58Speaker 1: That's all.
- 55:59Speaker 10: I mean. You're his side piece and he has to
- 56:02Speaker 10: do You then make sure he's home before his wife
- 56:05Speaker 10: gets in.
- 56:06Speaker 1: That's his curfew. That's all.
- 56:08Speaker 10: He's pretty much told you that when he said he
- 56:11Speaker 10: had to get home by midnight, Except why didn't you
- 56:14Speaker 10: ask him why? Right then and there? Are you afraid
- 56:17Speaker 10: to ask him these important questions?
- 56:19Speaker 1: You need to know this. You can't be scared.
- 56:21Speaker 10: That's something you definitely need to know because you are
- 56:24Speaker 10: clearly not reading between.
- 56:26Speaker 12: The lines here. Has that not crossed your mind, not
- 56:29Speaker 12: even once?
- 56:30Speaker 10: That he could be married. That's why he's racing home
- 56:33Speaker 10: and doing all this stuff. Eating at your house. I mean,
- 56:36Speaker 10: the clues are there. You want to go out, he
- 56:38Speaker 10: wants food to bring it to the house so he
- 56:41Speaker 10: won't get caught being out with you or something. Please
- 56:43Speaker 10: ask him these questions so you can get the answers
- 56:46Speaker 10: you need and move on with your life.
- 56:49Speaker 8: Steve, Well, have you ever read a letter in wid
- 56:55Speaker 8: because I mean, Shirley answered the letter really adequately, you
- 56:58Speaker 8: know what I'm saying. I mean, it's just it's glaringly
- 57:02Speaker 8: obvious to everybody that has heard this letter what this
- 57:06Speaker 8: situation is.
- 57:09Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 57:10Speaker 8: Some people you have to slow welcome through information because
- 57:12Speaker 8: a lot of times you want you want to believe
- 57:19Speaker 8: for your heart's sake. And I get it, I get it.
- 57:23Speaker 8: You want to believe for your heart's sakes, so you
- 57:27Speaker 8: shut your brain off from doing what it's supposed to do.
- 57:31Speaker 1: And that's like think.
- 57:34Speaker 8: A person's brain is designed to think, to absorb information
- 57:39Speaker 8: to learn. Obviously, you don't want to absorb no information
- 57:44Speaker 8: because you don't want to learn the facts here, So
- 57:48Speaker 8: there's nothing we can do to help you.
- 57:49Speaker 2: But here we go.
- 57:51Speaker 8: I met my new friend. It was like a fairy
- 57:54Speaker 8: tale romance. See that's all she wanted. She wants a
- 57:56Speaker 8: fairy tale romance.
- 57:58Speaker 1: See just listen to this.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Go to y'all.
- 58:01Speaker 8: I met my new friend. It was like a fairy
- 58:03Speaker 8: tale romance. Okay, she's been wanting that since little girl.
- 58:07Speaker 8: He's twenty eight and thirty five and perfect for me
- 58:09Speaker 8: because I prayed for older man. Okay, so now soon
- 58:13Speaker 8: as you meet an older man, you immediately begin your
- 58:17Speaker 8: fairy tale romance. Now, if you twenty eight and he
- 58:20Speaker 8: thirty five, I don't want to break this two news
- 58:24Speaker 8: to you, but that ain't really no older man. That's
- 58:27Speaker 8: just another dude. Because women and men mature differently. Women
- 58:33Speaker 8: is a known fact.
- 58:34Speaker 2: This is not me talking. Women mature more quickly and
- 58:37Speaker 2: rapidly than men.
- 58:38Speaker 8: Because they have to, because somewhere in their teenage years,
- 58:42Speaker 8: they start experiencing these little girl moments that has to
- 58:45Speaker 8: grow them up a little bit quicker. They have to
- 58:46Speaker 8: start working around a certain time and all this hit
- 58:49Speaker 8: and they have to prepare theirselfs so they mature quicker
- 58:52Speaker 8: than boys, and they have to think about what they're
- 58:54Speaker 8: doing and what happens, and you know, reproduction and the
- 58:59Speaker 8: boys we just done for a long time. So he's
- 59:02Speaker 8: got a photography studio. In that studio, you booked it
- 59:04Speaker 8: for a Christmas photo shoot, you and your daughter. After
- 59:06Speaker 8: the photo shoot, they asked you and your daughter to dinner.
- 59:08Speaker 8: They went, and after that he's playing dinner day for
- 59:11Speaker 8: us every night that week.
- 59:13Speaker 2: Ain't that nice? This is a fairy tale room. Miss.
- 59:16Speaker 2: He loves you and the baby, so I could.
- 59:19Speaker 8: I couldn't wait for my daughter to go to her
- 59:21Speaker 8: dad's later that week so I could spend some quality
- 59:23Speaker 8: time with my new friends.
- 59:25Speaker 1: And he had been telling me how good he was
- 59:27Speaker 1: in bed.
- 59:29Speaker 2: I could not wait to see.
- 59:31Speaker 8: It was supposed to go down at his house, but
- 59:34Speaker 8: it was raining really bad, so he came over to
- 59:36Speaker 8: my house. All right, now, hold up right there, unless
- 59:41Speaker 8: he stays in a refrigerator box, I don't really know
- 59:47Speaker 8: what that damn rain got to do with it. Now,
- 59:51Speaker 8: if you stay under the bridge, you know in your
- 59:55Speaker 8: rooalf is a refrigerator box or tarp, then I understand
- 59:59Speaker 8: you know you ain't you know? Okay, but I don't
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: know how. But it raining really bad, So we came.
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: We didn't waste no time talking. We went straight to bed.
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: He had exaggerated a little bit on his skill level,
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: but it was still good for older man.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I ain't gonna tell you no more. He's thirty five.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: That ain't no older man. Don't here noddy for bedroom
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: skills at thirty five.
- 1:00:20Speaker 12: Hang on, Steve, coming up for twenty five minutes.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Still bringing it that when you give a credit.
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: Twenty three minutes after the out, we'll have part two
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: of your response today Strawberry letter, subject, am I dating Cinderella?
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Come on, Steve. Let's recap today's
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: Strawberry letter. The subject is, am I dating Cinderella?
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: Well, this lady that mectus what she claims as a romance,
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: a fairy tale romance. So what she thene did was
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: she done got with this guy that she met. That
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: he's older than her. He's thirty five, she's twenty eight.
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: He said that she had been praying for an older man.
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: He not really older. Thirty five and twenty eight, that's
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: seven years. That's just another dude you done met. Now,
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: y'all didn't got together.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Y'all went over.
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: You went to a photography studio with your daughter doing
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: a Christmas photo shoot. He took the picture, then me
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: asked y'all to dinner. You and your daughter, y'all went
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: out to dinner, had.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: A nice time.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: Then he's just playing to dinner date for y'all every
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: night that week. Okay, cool, that's worth. Then you couldn't
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: wait for her, your daughter to go to a daddy house.
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: This wee can because so you could spend some quality
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: time with your new friend. And he had been bragging
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: about how good he was in bed. Now, I don't
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: know at what part of the dinner when you and
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: the daughter where he was letting you know how good
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: he was. But I showed would have liked to ben
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: at the table when he was sliding that past. Oh baby,
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: you like the wear your steak done?
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: I really know how to do steak. Huh you feel me?
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: He ain't got some baked cookies or when it comes
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: to bacon, that's what I do. I likes to bake
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: that cookie.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: So I'm just assuming these is the conversation he had
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: to have at dinner with you and the daughter to
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: let you know how good he was in bed. You
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: couldn't wait, well you got there now, y'all. Was supposed
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: to go down at your house, but it rained real bad,
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: so he had to stay at home. He had we well,
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: it had to he was coming to he was. He
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: was supposed to be at his house, but it rained
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: real bad, so he came over to your house. Now,
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: like I said, unless he stay under the bridge in
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: a refrigerator box.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell they got to do
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: with it. But you didn't see that. It's okay.
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: So now then, you said, he exaggerated a little bit
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: how good he was in bed, but it was still good.
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: And uh and and she said, and he was, he said,
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: but it was still good for an older man. Let
- 1:03:02Speaker 8: me explain you posted still be good at thirty five.
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: As a matter of fact, you're starting to come into
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: your own. You don't really get this sex thing down
- 1:03:14Speaker 8: as a man. To you in them forty you got
- 1:03:16Speaker 8: to help, you know, disappointed a couple of people before,
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: you know, you had to have found out that you
- 1:03:22Speaker 8: ain't what all you thought you was a couple of times,
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: you know, to get your game up, you got to
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: be in your forty He was pretty good for an
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: old man at thirty five, lady, If that's what you're thinking, oh,
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: you're in trouble now. If he was setting and you
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: was telling me this, I'd be clapping for the dude.
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: But he thirty five. He posted, still be good.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: You don't get.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: You don't get you're getting no credit for being thirty five,
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: and get still go, that's no good.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Anyway, He got up, and he.
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: Got about eleven thirty, and he got dressed quickly, like
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: he was late for work or something. I told him
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: to call me when he got home, but I ain't
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: hear from him till next day. He said he missed
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: me and asked him he could see me again. I
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: said we could meet for dinner. He said he wanted
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: to pick up the food and eat it my house instead.
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: We ate, then we had sex. Then he told me
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: he needed to be home by midnight. I told him
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: that's not cute to have sex and run out. He apologized,
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: but saying I really got to go. I don't give
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: a damn about what you think is cute. I got
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: to skip my ass to the house.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: He was done.
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: He has done this four times, and I wonder what
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: is so significant about midnight. He told me to chill
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: and learn to live in the moment. What's up with
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: this man and my dating a Cinderella? Well, you're not
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: dating a Cinderella. You're not dating a cinder fella. You're
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: dating somebody else's fella. That's all it is. You ain't
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: dating Cinderella. You're dating somebody else's fella. He got to
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: be at that house by twelve because she know what
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: time the studio and he booke his last appointment, and
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: you know how far that appointment is from the house.
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: Why are you sitting up here talking about what's up
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: with this man? Am I dating of Cinderella?
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: No?
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: She's young?
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: You you you maybe you don't need no older man.
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: Matter of fact, you twenty eight. You need to start
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: dating a twenty one year old you need That's what
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: you need to do. Once she got up in the thirties,
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: I don't know what man in his thirties and don't
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: don't come with with nothing. What what man don't have
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: a history by the time he's thirties. You need to
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: find out if he got children, if he got a wife,
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: he got a family, he got a livy in lover.
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: You need to find out where his kids stay. You
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: ain't asking no question because you were so content on
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: saying you met your fairy tale roman and he was
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: what you prayed for.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: He was older.
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: Just because you pray for something don't mean if God
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: descending it to you. See, you got to ask some questions.
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: God.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: You can always meet the older man.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Hell, that ain't hard. Why that's hard? You can meet
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: the older man, that's easy.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: But you want an older man that's available for you?
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: You didn't get none of that information, sister, You not.
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: You haven't asked one relevant question because you were too

- 1:12:44Speaker 8: You can't tell that to the right to the wrong system.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: Matter of fact, No, sister, I know none of them

- 1:12:58Speaker 8: I'm talking to you.
- 1:12:58Speaker 16: None of my husband I put nobody on my Sam.
- 1:13:02Speaker 16: We at least, yeah, we're not doing it.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: No, no, no, no, you're not putting nobody on the
- 1:13:08Speaker 8: no woman on the Sam's account. If I know about it,
- 1:13:12Speaker 8: I don't give a damn. She stayed across the sheet
- 1:13:15Speaker 8: street and I watched her husband in the front yard.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Really, why you go so fall.
- 1:13:24Speaker 8: On Sam's card for now? You ain't got to buy
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: in balk he gone? Didn't you know what the lady saying?
- 1:13:32Speaker 8: Why is she buying in balk See? This is why
- 1:13:35Speaker 8: you can't do comedy no more because the people on
- 1:13:40Speaker 8: this show.
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: I'm.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: We didn't understand it.
- 1:13:46Speaker 8: Well, it's it's a hypothetical situation. Ain't nobody across the street?
- 1:13:50Speaker 8: And now you want to help the lady out? Why
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: why she need a Sam car now? Because the biggest
- 1:13:55Speaker 8: eating in the house is gone.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: You know you can't say that.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: And that's what comedy is.
- 1:14:03Speaker 8: Comedy is saying something real crazy that somebody might be
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: thinking and too.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: Scared to see it. But now you do that? Now
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: it political correctness? Then killed it. I'm gonna do enough.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: Go ahead, do the next one, Washington?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Okay, all right?
- 1:14:16Speaker 7: Was it?
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: Alright?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: We ain't gonna say this song?
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: Go ahead, okay, go ahead, go ahead.
- 1:14:20Speaker 13: All right.
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: We have time for another one, Steve. This one's from Florence,
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: Florence in Columbia. Florence says high crew, I'm twenty four
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: years old. Florence is my middle name, and I use
- 1:14:30Speaker 10: it because I don't like my first name. I was
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: named after my grandma, Florence, and she just moved in
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: with us. I never spent a lot of time around
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: this grandma, and she's different from my other grandma. My
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: mom is black and my dad is white. I grew
- 1:14:44Speaker 10: up around my dad's family and they were regular and boring.
- 1:14:49Speaker 10: My grandma Florence is black and she's very honest and direct.
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: So I've done a lot of crying and a lot
- 1:14:54Speaker 10: of laughing since she moved in. I don't think she
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: likes me, so I'm trying to get on her good side.
- 1:14:59Speaker 10: How do I with her personality?
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna have to do this when we'll come back.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: You got the black grandma.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:15:07Speaker 12: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:09Speaker 12: Show right after this.
- 1:15:11Speaker 11: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:15:16Speaker 10: So Steve, this is from Florence in Columbia. She says, Hi, crew,
- 1:15:20Speaker 10: I'm twenty four. Florence is my middle name. I use
- 1:15:23Speaker 10: it because I don't like my first name. I was
- 1:15:25Speaker 10: named after my grandma, Florence. She just moved in with us.
- 1:15:27Speaker 10: I've never spent a lot of time around this grandma,
- 1:15:30Speaker 10: and she's different from my other grandma. My mom is
- 1:15:32Speaker 10: black and my dad is white. I grew up around
- 1:15:34Speaker 10: my dad's family. They were regular and boring. Grandma Florence
- 1:15:38Speaker 10: is black and she's very honest and direct. So I've
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: done a lot of crying, a lot of laughings since
- 1:15:43Speaker 10: she moved in. I don't think she likes me, and
- 1:15:45Speaker 10: so how do I deal with her personality?
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: Well, there is nothing you could do, because old people
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: are not fitting to change. I am a bit curious though,
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: that your name you use Florence because you didn't like
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: the first You like Florence, So I ain't know if
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: you like Florence.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: What is that first name?
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Because Florence is old as hell.
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: So you're probably mad at your grandmama because you got
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: named after her. You didn't get named after the white grandmother.
- 1:16:11Speaker 8: Your name would have been Becky, Kary, Tilley An or
- 1:16:14Speaker 8: something like that, because they's two first names when they country.
- 1:16:18Speaker 8: The only reason you picked with with Florence had because
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: you didn't care. You didn't want to be called Kizzie.
- 1:16:23Speaker 8: You didn't want to be called old Badetta, one of
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: them old last names. So I think you should embrace
- 1:16:30Speaker 8: your old grandmother. I tell you right now, because she's
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: talking about the white grandmama. That's what you don't like
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: because you spent a lot of time with them.
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:16:36Speaker 8: If you bet you get over here and eat this far,
- 1:16:38Speaker 8: I send you over there and have to eat with
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: Becky and cook. All she did was running under the
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: tap water. They use seasoning on that side of the family.
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: All right, we have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:50Speaker 10: Show coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: The ain't get yourself some ko what you want?

- 1:17:20Speaker 2: right number. You got to get the right number. I
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: was going with my favorite X. Then that was quick.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: You aren't committed.
- 1:17:31Speaker 8: My favorite X is gonna be Donna blaand I had
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: a crush on her when I was in the fourth grade.

- 1:17:38Speaker 8: bland in the fourth grade. I will not be saying no,

- 1:18:17Speaker 2: feel like you linked to?
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Yeah?

- 1:20:52Speaker 8: made my life have the challenges.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: And setbacks in it that he did.
- 1:20:57Speaker 8: So in moments like this, when I'm talking to people,
- 1:21:02Speaker 8: I can offer them some tidbits, some gems, some jewels.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: That I have learned along the way.
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: And I think of so many things that I've learned
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: in my past that I never didn't understand at the time.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: But I do not.
- 1:21:15Speaker 8: Something my mother used to say to me all the time.
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: My mother used to say, one day, God gonna give
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: you a big house up on the hill. You can't
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: get up on that hill, and don't tell nobody else
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: how to get there. Now, coming from a very poor background,
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: I didn't understand that at a time. And then you know,
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: that was a scripture talking about a house on a
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: hill and something like that with something something I didn't
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: know what she was talking about, don't think my mama,
- 1:21:39Speaker 8: here come another Bible verse.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Now I got to go to the Bibles still the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: even figure this one out, and I just never did.
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: Well.
- 1:21:46Speaker 8: I understand now, and in that I understand my mission,
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: I understand my assignment. I've accepted my calling and here
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: I am. So that's to say to everybody out there
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: who hasn't reached my plateau yet.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: As far as age goes.
- 1:22:05Speaker 8: The things you're going through right now is preparing you
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: for what you're going to be and what you're going
- 1:22:13Speaker 8: to have.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: And you've got to understand this process.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: I didn't always.
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: Understand it, but now that I've gone through it and
- 1:22:21Speaker 8: still going through it, at times, I'm sharing with you
- 1:22:25Speaker 8: some things that you need to know about the process
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: that yeah, it's hard for you now, but this too
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: shall pass. Yes it's challenging for you now, but this
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: ain't gonna trouble last always. I'm telling you what I've
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: learned that you're going to get to the other side
- 1:22:43Speaker 8: of it eventually. And sometimes you get to the other
- 1:22:46Speaker 8: side and don't even realize you there, and you just
- 1:22:49Speaker 8: got to stay in the process. The most important thing
- 1:22:52Speaker 8: you have to remember folks in this whole process is
- 1:22:56Speaker 8: don't you ever ever give up? I don't care what happened.
- 1:23:00Speaker 8: Don't you ever give up? I don't care how dark
- 1:23:03Speaker 8: can look for you, how bleak the situation, how charged
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: with punishment the scroll. Don't you ever ever give up?
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: Because I have seen it happen too many times. I
- 1:23:16Speaker 8: have seen people who I know gave up before the
- 1:23:20Speaker 8: light switch got cut on one more strike of the hammer,
- 1:23:25Speaker 8: day to hit oil, one more dig or the shovel.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: And the diamonds would have fell out.
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: I have seen people walk away from situations and the
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: very next day the person behind them reaped the benefit.
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: I've seen it over and over and over and over again.
- 1:23:40Speaker 8: I was determined I was not going to be that person.
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: I oftentimes I just asked God for strength. Now you
- 1:23:50Speaker 8: know what God does when you ask for strength, He
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: puts situations in front of you that requires you to
- 1:23:56Speaker 8: be strong.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Because it's like going to the gym. You can't go
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: in there and get in that gym. What in big
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: boys is that over there? You got to start with
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: some lightweights. You got to work up.
- 1:24:07Speaker 8: You can't jump in there and grab the sixties. You
- 1:24:11Speaker 8: gotta start your curls with them twenties. Man, you grab
- 1:24:15Speaker 8: them sixties and start curling, and see what happened. You'll
- 1:24:18Speaker 8: be discouraged. You'll go home. Nah, man, you got to
- 1:24:21Speaker 8: get on that. You got to get them light weights.
- 1:24:23Speaker 8: You got to start building it up. And as you
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: build it up, you get stronger, and you get stronger.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: So you ask God for strength.
- 1:24:30Speaker 8: Yeah, so he puts situation in front of you that
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: requires you to be strong. You asking God to make you.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: Rich one day. You know what God gonna do. He
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: gonna make you understand what poverty is.
- 1:24:42Speaker 8: See, because if you do get rich one day, you're
- 1:24:45Speaker 8: gonna have to have an appreciation for it, because if
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: you don't, people who get rich quick don't have money
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: long because they don't know the process. So as you're
- 1:24:54Speaker 8: asking God to increase your wealth, He's also gonna let
- 1:24:58Speaker 8: you stay in this poverty.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: A little while too.
- 1:25:00Speaker 8: I can attest to that as you ask God to
- 1:25:04Speaker 8: bring you closer, which is what I'm doing right now.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: You know what God gonna do.
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: He gonna put you in this situation to make you realize,
- 1:25:11Speaker 8: ain't nobody out there for you but Him, and I
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: ain't got no choice but to be closer to it,
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: because guess what. Can't nobody really help me? I don't
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: have no problems. Well, I can pick up the phone
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: and go, yo, man, I need some help. No anybody
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: finna do that. God keeps me in situations where I
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: have to realize is only Him and no matter where
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: the attack comes from. I am now thoroughly convinced that
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: God got me. I am convinced of it. I wish
- 1:25:43Speaker 8: y'all could just learn it from me. Do you see
- 1:25:45Speaker 8: how I come and get on this radio every day
- 1:25:47Speaker 8: with this same attitude. I don't care what's swirling around me.
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: I have people all the time, Hey man, just checking
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: on you.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: You okay?
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: But I'm good. I'm good Man, good good, I really am.
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: Because I am convinced that God is with me. I
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: am convinced that he's not gonna leave me. I am
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: convinced that no weapon for him against me shall prosper.
- 1:26:13Speaker 8: I am convinced that I can walk through the rivers
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: and the waters and will not be overcome. I am
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: convinced of that. I am convinced that he making me
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: lie down in green pastures. I'm convinced of it because
- 1:26:25Speaker 8: He's done it for me time and time again. So
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: why would he not do me again? And if God
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: said he never leave you, he he don't leave you.
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: You going through something don't mean he'd have left you.
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: Y'all come on now, don't ever give up. That's the
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: number one thing. Don't you ever give up. I don't
- 1:26:41Speaker 8: care what happens. Don't you dah give up?
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: All right? Those are my clothes with mom, see y'all
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: or y'all have gray week.
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:26:53Speaker 11: He thinks.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: Where it is no more. I'm suffered from Jedalous.
