- 1:53Speaker 1: we go, Hi, that's what Sean McDonald, and you're listening
- 1:56Speaker 1: to money Making conversations. My next guesses she's a balanced
- 2:01Speaker 1: life person. She's an entrepreneur. She's co host on the
- 2:04Speaker 1: new daytime syndication talk show Face the Truth, which is
- 2:07Speaker 1: from the Doctor Fields production company. Everybody Knows. Dr Field
- 2:11Speaker 1: is a conflict resolution show with a panel of experts
- 2:14Speaker 1: that help people sort through their problems. Okay, I guess
- 2:18Speaker 1: I may be on that ship one day. You know.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Face the Truth is unscripted and promptu helping real people
- 2:24Speaker 1: with real issues. Premiered Monday, September ten on CBS. She's
- 2:28Speaker 1: a partner in the law firm or Martin and Martin
- 2:30Speaker 1: with her husband in Los Angeles, a legal analyst on
- 2:33Speaker 1: CNN That's where I discover her and the author of
- 2:36Speaker 1: the popular motivational book Make It Rain, Please, Working to
- 2:39Speaker 1: money making conversations Riva Martin. Hello, I love it. I
- 2:44Speaker 1: love it. I love great introductions. I love giving them
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I love receiving them. Well, first of all, you
- 2:49Speaker 1: deserve it, you know, because of the fact that Harvard
- 2:51Speaker 1: Law School attendee, a graduate and all that good stuff.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You know, tell me about. Okay, where did it all
- 2:57Speaker 1: start for you? Okay? Because the only way it's code
- 3:00Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. Born in St. Louis. That's Midwest girl,
- 3:03Speaker 1: That's Midwest, Midwest. Okay, the Arch, the Arch. You know,
- 3:08Speaker 1: one of my favorite hotels is in uh Is in St. Louis,
- 3:11Speaker 1: the four Seasons. I love the hotel. You can look
- 3:13Speaker 1: out and see the Archer's one of my favorite hotels
- 3:15Speaker 1: in St. Louis. And but now you know I was
- 3:19Speaker 1: I would like to go back to people when they
- 3:21Speaker 1: get started with these thoughts because I'm African American. I
- 3:23Speaker 1: grew up in inner city and all I had was dreams.
- 3:27Speaker 1: What inspired you to be to to St. Louis is cool?
- 3:31Speaker 1: But I want to do better. Two women, my grandmother
- 3:35Speaker 1: and my godmother. Grandmother was a paraplegic. Godmother was a
- 3:39Speaker 1: maid and a janitor. Uh. Two women with very limited education,
- 3:44Speaker 1: very very limited money, but heart. You know, they had
- 3:48Speaker 1: a lot of heart. They had a lot of love.
- 3:50Speaker 1: They raised me and my brothers, and they taught me
- 3:53Speaker 1: some values that you know, serve you well. Whether you're
- 3:57Speaker 1: in New York, St. Louis, Los Angeles, rors it doesn't matter. Uh.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Some of those values that UH that instilled in me
- 4:04Speaker 1: in a young age have stuck with me and have
- 4:06Speaker 1: been really the motivating for us, but behind everything that
- 4:10Speaker 1: I've accomplished in my life professionally, and then you share
- 4:13Speaker 1: this in public speaking. Correct. I talked about it all
- 4:17Speaker 1: the time because I like you, Rashana. I think it's
- 4:19Speaker 1: important that people know where you come from. Sper times
- 4:21Speaker 1: and entertainers and athletes and successful people. We just see
- 4:25Speaker 1: the shiny, glossy them, you know, we see the Instagram
- 4:28Speaker 1: pictures where everything is perfect hair makeup, that you know
- 4:31Speaker 1: that they got the whip, they got everything going for them,
- 4:33Speaker 1: But we don't get to see the hard work, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 1: the obstacles, the challenges, uh that got them where they are.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So I always like to remind people, you know, don't
- 4:41Speaker 1: look at me where I am. Now, learn a little
- 4:43Speaker 1: about where I started from, because that's what I think
- 4:45Speaker 1: will motivate someone who feels like they can't get from
- 4:49Speaker 1: point A to point B because it seems so far off,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it seems so overwhelming. But when you know that people
- 4:54Speaker 1: you admire and look up to start it off. Most
- 4:57Speaker 1: of us, many of us, you know, no silver spoon,
- 5:00Speaker 1: was no you know, legacy admission to Harvard, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: no uh, recommendation letters from my uncle that had been there,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know, two generations before me. So I think people
- 5:10Speaker 1: need to know that. So I'm proud of it, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: And I'll tell you this story. I did a book
- 5:13Speaker 1: signing the same w with some making ring and I
- 5:15Speaker 1: grew up in a housing project called the Car Square Village.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It was a woman that came up to me after
- 5:19Speaker 1: that book signed, She said, a Revie had been so
- 5:21Speaker 1: embarrassed to ever tell anyone I grew up in the
- 5:24Speaker 1: car Square. But tonight, when I heard you on that
- 5:26Speaker 1: stage in front of this predominantly white audience at a
- 5:30Speaker 1: college in the suburbs of saying, well, she says, when
- 5:32Speaker 1: I heard you talk so proudly about growing up there,
- 5:35Speaker 1: she says, I'll never ever denied where I came from,
- 5:38Speaker 1: and I will talk openly about that. This woman is
- 5:41Speaker 1: a successful nurse. She was in a medical professional and
- 5:43Speaker 1: she says she and her sister basically denied where they
- 5:46Speaker 1: grew up, but hearing me talk about it so proudly
- 5:50Speaker 1: gave her, in some ways permission to, you know, share
- 5:54Speaker 1: her background. So that's that's what I hope I do
- 5:56Speaker 1: by sharing my story, is give other people permission to
- 5:58Speaker 1: talk about whatever it is that they had to overcome
- 6:01Speaker 1: to get where they are today. We know the interesting
- 6:03Speaker 1: thing about sharing, you know, because I was managing Steve
- 6:06Speaker 1: all those years of just hearing him just lay his
- 6:09Speaker 1: story out to the general public, and that was difficult.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You know, not everybody knows social med. You can't hide anything,
- 6:15Speaker 1: so you might will share because you know how much
- 6:18Speaker 1: money you make and they're gonna google your house, you know,
- 6:23Speaker 1: right right right then social Security? Now if you're carefully
- 6:27Speaker 1: to know that too, so so you know, because we
- 6:30Speaker 1: all are. This is what I take away from your personality. Okay,
- 6:33Speaker 1: very well, very very well educated, very well spoken, but
- 6:37Speaker 1: there's an edge in your personality where you really do
- 6:40Speaker 1: understand where you came from, and you're not you're not
- 6:43Speaker 1: afraid to admit that. That's how I am. I'm from
- 6:45Speaker 1: fifth Ward, Texas, you know, to bear Room, shotgun house,
- 6:49Speaker 1: six uster, two brothers. My father was a truck driver,
- 6:51Speaker 1: had a third grade education. My mom graduated from high school.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That was that was That was my resume. And I
- 6:57Speaker 1: will tell people that and not just to let everybody
- 6:59Speaker 1: know that I'm not special. That's first of all. I
- 7:02Speaker 1: want to just lay that out there. I'm not special.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Because I've been in environments where people look at me
- 7:07Speaker 1: like I'm unique, and they look at me like, oh,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you're different from them, and that's what those are stereotypes.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But I understand that you, truly, I have a clean
- 7:16Speaker 1: understanding that there's a success lane and there's an everyday lane,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and you you balance both of them, because absolutely, you're right,
- 7:24Speaker 1: we're not. I definitely don't feel specialize. What I tell
- 7:26Speaker 1: people is I just go to work. The joke in
- 7:29Speaker 1: my house is mom and my husband say, I think
- 7:33Speaker 1: the answer to every problem is another job, right right,
- 7:36Speaker 1: right right, the craziest in the family. And my first
- 7:41Speaker 1: question is do they have a job? Do they have
- 7:43Speaker 1: a second job? And so that's kind of a running
- 7:45Speaker 1: joke there. Like Mom, the answer to everything is not
- 7:47Speaker 1: a job, I says, well, it'll solve a lot of problems,
- 7:49Speaker 1: trust me. And it's called multiple stretes of income. And
- 7:52Speaker 1: it also allows you to understand that you're not you're
- 7:55Speaker 1: not uh, you're not linked to somebody else's success or failure.
- 7:59Speaker 1: If you're deciding all your overall income by by several platforms,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and that's what you're doing right now. Because I wanted
- 8:05Speaker 1: because I want to slide over to we're gonna talk
- 8:07Speaker 1: about because I got two breaks with you. We're gonna
- 8:09Speaker 1: talk about the TV show. But you have so much
- 8:11Speaker 1: and I get a guess, like you're on the show.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Your journey in entrepreneurship, your journey and education, your background
- 8:16Speaker 1: enables me to say I want them to hear a
- 8:18Speaker 1: full scope. Make It Rain, the very popular book that
- 8:21Speaker 1: came out in March that you wrote, and it tells
- 8:24Speaker 1: people how to take advantage of the media to build
- 8:27Speaker 1: your brand. That's what money making conversations about. I got
- 8:30Speaker 1: to had to get you on this show to talk
- 8:31Speaker 1: and talk about that book. Talk about that book. Well,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm excited about Making Rain. You're right. It was published
- 8:37Speaker 1: by the Shed Book Group in March. It's a national
- 8:39Speaker 1: best seller. It hit the top of a ton of
- 8:41Speaker 1: best sellers list when it came out. It's been doing really,
- 8:44Speaker 1: really well. I traveled the country from March till about
- 8:48Speaker 1: literally just September, doing book events with hundreds sometimes styles
- 8:52Speaker 1: of people. I did Urban League, I was at a
- 8:56Speaker 1: conference of public administrators. I've been at a ton of
- 8:58Speaker 1: women empowerment confer when sin is including a wonderful conference
- 9:02Speaker 1: in Malwa. Had been to Chicago St. Louis. I'm talking
- 9:08Speaker 1: about how amazing it is this this is my third
- 9:12Speaker 1: book and my second book. I sat in bookstores Rashan
- 9:16Speaker 1: with like two people, people praying, like, you know, trying
- 9:21Speaker 1: to play it off like I really wasn't doing a
- 9:23Speaker 1: book signing when nobody showed up, and I'm just I'm
- 9:26Speaker 1: so blessed. And I tell this story because I tell people,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, I was told on my second book that
- 9:31Speaker 1: I would never get a third book deal because my
- 9:33Speaker 1: second book, although a wonderful book, it it wasn't position right,
- 9:36Speaker 1: it wasn't marketed properly, and it didn't sound well. And
- 9:40Speaker 1: so this book, I had a totally different approach to
- 9:43Speaker 1: how I was going to get out and reach people.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And one of my ways was, you know, going to
- 9:47Speaker 1: where people are not sitting in the bookstore hoping somebody
- 9:50Speaker 1: would show up. But I actually went to conferences wherever
- 9:52Speaker 1: already gonna be hundreds and hundreds of people so that
- 9:55Speaker 1: I could make sure I connected with folks. But but
- 9:57Speaker 1: this book has been a labor of love for me,
- 9:59Speaker 1: talking about how I use the media to grow my
- 10:02Speaker 1: own practice, my own legal practice, how I've used the
- 10:05Speaker 1: media to go from being an unpaid death expert to
- 10:08Speaker 1: uh someone who now has multiple contracts with networks in
- 10:11Speaker 1: the media. And just how you can you know, find
- 10:15Speaker 1: your brand and amplify your don't forget the talk show now,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you know, you know, when you have so much to
- 10:22Speaker 1: talk about, you need a hype man like ra Sean
- 10:24Speaker 1: McDonald to remind you. I'm a hype man. This is
- 10:27Speaker 1: the show. Many main conversation is your hype man show? Now?
- 10:30Speaker 1: The title of the book? Now that that I love
- 10:33Speaker 1: that title? Okay, were there in discussions? Were discussions about
- 10:37Speaker 1: that title, because it really is about the title of
- 10:39Speaker 1: the book. Was like a lady to think like a man.
- 10:41Speaker 1: We sold three million copies. Much debate on that title
- 10:44Speaker 1: when we when we were putting it together. So I know,
- 10:47Speaker 1: a title can do a lot for a book and
- 10:49Speaker 1: also can explain the direction of a book. And I
- 10:53Speaker 1: thought it just fit with this book so well. So
- 10:55Speaker 1: tell us how you came up with that title and
- 10:56Speaker 1: associated with this book. Well, I'll tell you that I
- 10:59Speaker 1: got a lot of pushback. You know, sometimes publishers get
- 11:02Speaker 1: a little you know, get a little answers, little hansitant
- 11:05Speaker 1: because making rain, if you google it, you may get
- 11:08Speaker 1: some strip club, might people throw our money up in
- 11:11Speaker 1: the air. But I was okay with that. I was like, great,
- 11:14Speaker 1: that just means the title is already out of the
- 11:16Speaker 1: university because I wasn't afraid of it, because I knew
- 11:20Speaker 1: when you looked at my picture, you're gonna see I
- 11:21Speaker 1: wasn't a stripper. That's okay, But I love you. That's
- 11:27Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. That
- 11:28Speaker 1: that independent nature of yours. You know, you can keep
- 11:30Speaker 1: it regular and you keep it successful, but you're so
- 11:34Speaker 1: confident in yourself. You're very confident in yourself, you know,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and that means that you'll I'm gonna slide a little bit,
- 11:39Speaker 1: We're gonna come back. But that means that your husband
- 11:41Speaker 1: has to be stronger. But it hasn't have a strong
- 11:43Speaker 1: personality too. Oh absolutely absolutely does this ra Sean McDonald's
- 11:48Speaker 1: world famous for Sean McDonald, and I'm now talking about

- 16:42Speaker 1: we sent you. We've been Rashan McDonald. That's blinds Galore
- 16:46Speaker 1: dot com. The next guest was born in um Iran
- 16:50Speaker 1: and raised in Germany. Let me turn that little computer
- 16:53Speaker 1: volume down. She's a world traveler and luxury lifestyle aficionado
- 16:57Speaker 1: at our current company. Started as an opera rations assistant,
- 17:01Speaker 1: he was promoted to an assistant director and then to
- 17:04Speaker 1: the director of operations. Two years ago when I met her,
- 17:07Speaker 1: she was brought into the general manager position. Please welcome
- 17:10Speaker 1: to money making conversations. The general manager of Alazo lc
- 17:14Speaker 1: Villa Hotels, Hannah too lucky to the ky that mess
- 17:19Speaker 1: of hand that I better that mess it up. I
- 17:22Speaker 1: better that miss it if I was right the first time,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I apologize to he and you got written that said
- 17:34Speaker 1: written that right in front of me, and I just
- 17:35Speaker 1: bailed on it. I just I love faith in right
- 17:37Speaker 1: in the middle of the conversation. Great, thank you. I
- 17:41Speaker 1: I contacted you through LinkedIn. This is how you can
- 17:43Speaker 1: meet really incredible guests and uh, and I wanted to
- 17:47Speaker 1: bring you on the show to talk about the brand
- 17:49Speaker 1: that I experienced and it's a lifestyle brand. And you
- 17:54Speaker 1: you kind of hesitant at first. You wanted to find
- 17:56Speaker 1: out what my show was all about. You did your
- 17:58Speaker 1: research and assume to talk to your powers there be
- 18:03Speaker 1: where you work. And now you're on my show. Thank you, correct,
- 18:07Speaker 1: thank you for having me. Now, um, tell me about
- 18:11Speaker 1: the Velazo experience. So the lab experience is unlike it's
- 18:18Speaker 1: almost like a hotel experience, just in a very private setting.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So you book a property with us and we give
- 18:24Speaker 1: you all the services and manities like in a luxury hotel.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So you get it. From the housekeeping, butler service, beautiful
- 18:32Speaker 1: fretted towers, beautiful hotel linen, and a mini bar. Anything
- 18:37Speaker 1: that you can experience in a beautiful hotel, you will
- 18:40Speaker 1: have it at the property. And you can have your
- 18:42Speaker 1: family gatherings there, you can have friends gatherings there. It's
- 18:46Speaker 1: a way more intimate and private setting than in a
- 18:49Speaker 1: hotel where you book a hotel room here and there
- 18:52Speaker 1: and you're not really together. So we bring everything together
- 18:56Speaker 1: in just the one villa, and we make this day
- 18:58Speaker 1: very extra special for you. I can verify she's telling
- 19:02Speaker 1: the truth. Hannah is telling the truth to Allah. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: had to get the name I right before I leave
- 19:06Speaker 1: the show. She's the general manager at Aliso or LLC
- 19:11Speaker 1: as the Villa Hotels. Uh Now, you based in Miami,
- 19:14Speaker 1: Florida or their locations all over the country, all over
- 19:17Speaker 1: the world. But I know I met you in Miami, Florida.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Let me just give you a little background when I
- 19:21Speaker 1: say I met her, um, my daughter, Um was graduating
- 19:26Speaker 1: from high school out of Florida, and so we invited
- 19:29Speaker 1: the entire family down there to UH watch to graduate. Well,
- 19:34Speaker 1: we needed a place to sleep because I had a grandmother,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I had sister in laws, I had their kids, and
- 19:42Speaker 1: it was amazing. It was amazing. Uh, the experience was fantastic. Uh.
- 19:47Speaker 1: The accommodations were over or in the private pool attached
- 19:52Speaker 1: to it, and I can watch that. I can look
- 19:53Speaker 1: at the water right right outside about doorway. And I
- 19:57Speaker 1: thought it was reasonable when you can when you consider
- 20:00Speaker 1: all that money would have spent on a hotel on
- 20:03Speaker 1: the hotel, and that's what you're talking about right here.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Don't don't be don't just don't let the price scare you.
- 20:09Speaker 1: But if you have a family reunion or high school union,
- 20:12Speaker 1: know you want to take a bunch of friends to
- 20:15Speaker 1: a location instead of just spending all that money in
- 20:19Speaker 1: the hotel room, you still gonna get the hotel relationships.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Let me finish telling your story because I don't want to.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I just want to let them know our relationship so
- 20:28Speaker 1: they can understand. I'm coming from a participant and not
- 20:31Speaker 1: just something I just read about. I was floored by
- 20:35Speaker 1: the accommodations. I thought the price was very reasonable. And
- 20:38Speaker 1: my family plans on coming back. Oh, I hope your
- 20:42Speaker 1: family is going to come back. We had a good
- 20:44Speaker 1: time with your family, so you know the price is
- 20:47Speaker 1: not that scary if you think about going to Miami,
- 20:49Speaker 1: um and just spend the money on a hotel and book,
- 20:53Speaker 1: I think you were about twelve family members there or
- 20:56Speaker 1: even more. You know, a house like this can cater
- 20:59Speaker 1: up to twelve to fourteen people. So if you book,
- 21:01Speaker 1: if you book a hotel and you need about seven
- 21:04Speaker 1: eight bedrooms, the price is going to be almost the
- 21:07Speaker 1: same as in a private hotel, private villa. So it
- 21:11Speaker 1: is not that scary. Maybe it's it's a little bit
- 21:14Speaker 1: too high for only two people traveling or maybe three people,
- 21:17Speaker 1: but if you have a family gathering or bigger group,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I think it's a very reasonable price. And with this,
- 21:23Speaker 1: you know, with the amenities and services that you're getting,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and you know, you you gather at the hotel, at
- 21:28Speaker 1: the villa as a family, and it's not You're not
- 21:32Speaker 1: surrounded by a lot of strangers. That's what I met
- 21:35Speaker 1: with intimate. That's very intimate. You can eat together, you
- 21:38Speaker 1: can have a barbecue together, which I think you had
- 21:41Speaker 1: at that time, and it's just like a very memorable,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you know environment. It's not I'm not surrounded by other people.
- 21:49Speaker 1: That's what I loved about it. I loved about the
- 21:51Speaker 1: fact that first of all, let's let's go back, you know,
- 21:55Speaker 1: let's let's go back and talk about I don't want
- 21:57Speaker 1: to think that people are just limited to Miami mix areas.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Let's talk about other locations that you have. Okay, So
- 22:04Speaker 1: you know, our headquarters are in Miami Beach. The team
- 22:07Speaker 1: works mainly from Miami Beach because we um, we have
- 22:12Speaker 1: a lot of property, is a big portfolio here in Miami,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and Miami is still a very big destinations for a
- 22:18Speaker 1: lot of when it gets cold, when it gets cold,
- 22:21Speaker 1: very popular that called in advanta people come as with us. So, um,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you know, Miami is still a very big city and
- 22:29Speaker 1: it's not as seasonal as other destinations such as you know,
- 22:33Speaker 1: Aston or we have Ibiza, you have Mayorka, you have
- 22:38Speaker 1: minkor nos there's so many other destinations that we're expanding
- 22:41Speaker 1: to currently because we just want to cater to the
- 22:44Speaker 1: to our clients as to our travelers. So we just
- 22:47Speaker 1: are not in Miami. So our team travels from you know,
- 22:51Speaker 1: from destination to destinations. But we have also managers and
- 22:54Speaker 1: other destinations so we can provide the same service and
- 22:57Speaker 1: the same standards and all destinations. So like the biggest
- 23:01Speaker 1: destination is currently like the Miami of course, and then
- 23:05Speaker 1: la is becoming a very popular destination. UM. Then we
- 23:09Speaker 1: have you know, in the United States we still have Aspen,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and outside the US we have eb Sells currently a
- 23:17Speaker 1: big travel destination than we have Nkoros, we have um
- 23:24Speaker 1: Santorini is currently also a coming Santo pe is the
- 23:32Speaker 1: me excited by going to well, not y but we're
- 23:36Speaker 1: trying to we honestly, we're trying to be everywhere where
- 23:39Speaker 1: our clients want to go. So if you come and say, Hannah,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I want to visit Utah, and I would say, like,
- 23:46Speaker 1: there's no problem, let me see what I can find you,
- 23:49Speaker 1: I would never say no, right, this is my mentality.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I would always make trying to make something possible, not
- 23:57Speaker 1: only me, my team us. UM. So this is definitely
- 24:01Speaker 1: something that we want to go towards two making expanding
- 24:06Speaker 1: more and more to cater to more and more clients.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Right now that now, the property I stayed on was
- 24:11Speaker 1: I was just like it was I have to say,
- 24:13Speaker 1: used the word mansion. It was a mansion property and
- 24:16Speaker 1: it was someone owned that property. And because it was
- 24:19Speaker 1: it was a couple of rooms, I couldn't get in.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You can't go in that room, sir. You got everything,
- 24:25Speaker 1: but you can't go on every room, and which is
- 24:27Speaker 1: fine because there's enough rooms to go around. And but
- 24:30Speaker 1: I we had catered. Uh I used to work cater
- 24:33Speaker 1: because I'm not in a hotel. But you know, somebody
- 24:36Speaker 1: made our breakfast every day. Somebode our launched every day, somebody,
- 24:40Speaker 1: somebody made our dinner every day. It was what I
- 24:43Speaker 1: wanted for breakfast, what I wanted for lunch. If I
- 24:46Speaker 1: wanted shrimp at t Faye for breakfast, they made it.
- 24:49Speaker 1: If I wanted uh homeless for dinner, they made it.
- 24:54Speaker 1: And it was like I stayed there for a week
- 24:56Speaker 1: and it was one an experience that I wanted to
- 24:59Speaker 1: share with my listeners because of the viewers, because people
- 25:02Speaker 1: watch me on Facebook as well, but I wanted to
- 25:04Speaker 1: share with them because it's just an amazing time and
- 25:07Speaker 1: we kind of like stumbled up on it because it's
- 25:09Speaker 1: like a little secret that's going on, and I know
- 25:11Speaker 1: that you know, you're in the business of trying to
- 25:13Speaker 1: get your band out there. That's why I brought your
- 25:15Speaker 1: money making conversation because of the fact that I knew
- 25:18Speaker 1: nothing about it and I'm trying to share it in
- 25:21Speaker 1: in a very big way to people. Just let them
- 25:23Speaker 1: know that because a lot of times people, um, let
- 25:26Speaker 1: dollars scare you twenty dollars. But guess what if you
- 25:31Speaker 1: have a family reunion twelve people, if it's if you
- 25:34Speaker 1: if you have a small group of people, this is
- 25:35Speaker 1: not you. I'm talking a small group like two or
- 25:37Speaker 1: three people or four people, this may not be you.
- 25:40Speaker 1: But if you have a large group of people and
- 25:42Speaker 1: you want to go somewhere where y'all can, like you said,
- 25:44Speaker 1: see each other. You don't have to work very private.
- 25:47Speaker 1: You can have a pool, your own little pool party.
- 25:50Speaker 1: You can have things covered. Is the properties are expensive
- 25:54Speaker 1: enough where there's parking. It really is a nice experience
- 25:58Speaker 1: and just and we host you know, it's like we
- 26:03Speaker 1: host people. It's it's like I always say, I want
- 26:07Speaker 1: to give my clients what I would give my family
- 26:10Speaker 1: inviting to my house. Right you can. I would make
- 26:13Speaker 1: sure that their their stomach is for that be's are made,
- 26:17Speaker 1: it is a clean house. Everything that you want for
- 26:20Speaker 1: your family, I give with passion to my clients. And um, yes,
- 26:25Speaker 1: you're right. You know, it's a very individual service. You
- 26:28Speaker 1: can through the housekeeping hours. Listen, I want to sleep
- 26:30Speaker 1: in today by noon. I don't want the housekeeper to
- 26:33Speaker 1: come until like two. Or I want to have this
- 26:36Speaker 1: for brunch. I want to have this for lunch. Maybe
- 26:38Speaker 1: we have someone with elegies. You know, everything is like
- 26:41Speaker 1: really one cater to your needs and to your family needs.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Do phone with Hannah. She's the generalmans with Lazzo which Velazo,
- 26:49Speaker 1: which is the l l A z z O obviously
- 26:52Speaker 1: a five star experience that goes far beyond the service
- 26:55Speaker 1: of a hotel or the privacy of a villa. Laso
- 26:57Speaker 1: selected finance villas in the most sought the locations. They
- 27:01Speaker 1: transformed the ultimate residents into a private hotel dedicated entirely
- 27:05Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, it was dedicated. I I owned my property, man,
- 27:10Speaker 1: I lived it. Man. I guess what I was, you know,
- 27:13Speaker 1: like I said, you know you, I felt like, what's
- 27:15Speaker 1: that guy's car face? I was down there, Uh tony,
- 27:18Speaker 1: tony my I was turning my d I was turning
- 27:20Speaker 1: my ton in Miami for seven days. I was down there.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I say, gods, I had my world. I had my phote.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I don't drink liquor, but I had strawberry pop. But
- 27:33Speaker 1: The fun thing about it is that I will. First
- 27:35Speaker 1: of all, I'll appreciate for taking the time, and UH
- 27:37Speaker 1: definitely sent me some social media banners so I can

- 31:47Speaker 1: your show. Bro. Well, let me just talk about your brand,
- 31:51Speaker 1: what you're trying to do and how long you've been
- 31:53Speaker 1: doing it? Uh, how do you like, like a talent
- 31:56Speaker 1: like Steve Harvey, who's one of your clients at the time, move,
- 32:01Speaker 1: how do you how do you create a relationship with
- 32:03Speaker 1: a client, celebrity or every day? How do you do that?
- 32:05Speaker 1: How do you do that? Um? Actually, you know, UM,
- 32:09Speaker 1: when we credit the stock clothing store in here in Dallas,
- 32:13Speaker 1: one my first stop, which is a silhouette images of men,
- 32:17Speaker 1: and that's when I met uh, comedians like Steve Heavy
- 32:21Speaker 1: you know before he you know, before his global um
- 32:26Speaker 1: comedian that he is today. You know. So we met
- 32:29Speaker 1: at the fashion show, you know, and you know we
- 32:31Speaker 1: became friends and I had the opportunity to um, to
- 32:35Speaker 1: clothe him and to help him out, you know, with
- 32:38Speaker 1: his wardrobe actually with the first TV show, which is
- 32:42Speaker 1: a lot of people don't know me and the boys,
- 32:45Speaker 1: you know, I clothed him at the show. I'm sure
- 32:48Speaker 1: you know what I'm talking about. And also I worked
- 32:51Speaker 1: with him, you know, while he was traveling all over
- 32:54Speaker 1: the country and then I get to meet people like said,
- 32:58Speaker 1: they enter tenor and you know, more of the comedians
- 33:01Speaker 1: and celebrities and pastors and leaders and TV uh, you know,
- 33:06Speaker 1: executives all over the world. And that's when I get
- 33:10Speaker 1: to meet you as well. Absolutely, so that that's why
- 33:13Speaker 1: we maintain this friendship today. That's when I saw you
- 33:15Speaker 1: with I said, I be you gotta do my show.
- 33:18Speaker 1: He said, Hey, Richin, call me. You know, I'll be there. Now.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Let's talk about it because you and the I guess
- 33:23Speaker 1: they would we would would we say the tailor made business.
- 33:25Speaker 1: You make tailored suits that to to to fit the man. Correct,
- 33:30Speaker 1: that's what you do. Correct? Okay, custom clothing, custom clothes.
- 33:33Speaker 1: What is the difference between off rack suits versus a
- 33:37Speaker 1: custom suit? What the difference between is a you know
- 33:41Speaker 1: a lot of people, um, they don't know the difference
- 33:46Speaker 1: between the off right and UH and custom. But that's
- 33:49Speaker 1: what we want to talk about this morning. Custom suit
- 33:52Speaker 1: is something that you know that you made first of fast.
- 33:55Speaker 1: It would be uh, something that would be pacifically made
- 33:59Speaker 1: for you are not for the whole community, you know,
- 34:03Speaker 1: And when you want to make a custom suit, you
- 34:06Speaker 1: know or you get to meet your Harberda shell, your
- 34:09Speaker 1: you know, your design or somebody like like myself, and
- 34:12Speaker 1: then you get to choose your own fabric. You get
- 34:15Speaker 1: to choose your own style. And then you know, we
- 34:17Speaker 1: take your measurement, you know, we take about party or
- 34:21Speaker 1: story to start five measurements. You know of your body.
- 34:25Speaker 1: You know from your shoulder, your chairs, your tossle, you know,
- 34:28Speaker 1: your heaps, your your bicefes if even the way you
- 34:32Speaker 1: wear your clothes or the way you wear your watch
- 34:34Speaker 1: is unlike um or like offering clothes. Offering clothes is
- 34:39Speaker 1: something that's made for the for the public. You know,
- 34:41Speaker 1: it's made for the you know, it's it's just for
- 34:45Speaker 1: the for everybody, you know. But but when it come
- 34:48Speaker 1: to custom clothe, it's one of the kind and it
- 34:51Speaker 1: gets to have your name on it, just specifically made
- 34:54Speaker 1: for you, and it will made for your lifestyle and
- 34:57Speaker 1: for what you do and you know, for the occasion
- 35:00Speaker 1: that you are going into. You know. So that's the
- 35:02Speaker 1: difference between our customs and off Fright And again off
- 35:07Speaker 1: Fright suit you know, um you see that it's made
- 35:10Speaker 1: out of a cheap quality sometimes, but custom suit would
- 35:14Speaker 1: be made out of a good quality, one of the
- 35:18Speaker 1: kind quality. And then when you see the the product
- 35:22Speaker 1: they after the after products. You know, you see the
- 35:25Speaker 1: lining is matching, you see the plant is it's coordinating.
- 35:29Speaker 1: You know, it's different from from all of frights. So
- 35:33Speaker 1: you know where where they just are cut five hundred,
- 35:36Speaker 1: one thousand suits at the same time. But the customs suit,
- 35:40Speaker 1: you know, we'll make this one at a time and
- 35:43Speaker 1: you have to wait for custom suit. You know, everything
- 35:46Speaker 1: that is good, you know what we're waiting for. Let
- 35:50Speaker 1: me tell let me say something about that because a
- 35:52Speaker 1: lot of people, you know, prices are our suit today
- 35:56Speaker 1: and some people don't think that's a new suit fifteen
- 35:59Speaker 1: years old, ten years old. That's what you get when
- 36:02Speaker 1: you buy a custom suit and long term quality and
- 36:05Speaker 1: so so over that same period, you know, you may
- 36:08Speaker 1: buy maybe four or five suits. I'm still wearing the
- 36:11Speaker 1: same suit because it was designed for my body. See,
- 36:14Speaker 1: when you're going to a store, they have a suit
- 36:16Speaker 1: on the rack, and then they're gonna they're gonna they're
- 36:18Speaker 1: gonna start messing with the structure of the suit to
- 36:21Speaker 1: fit your body. So as they start messing with the
- 36:23Speaker 1: structure of the suit, the suits damaged. I don't care
- 36:25Speaker 1: what they tell you. The suits have been damaged now
- 36:28Speaker 1: because of the fact that you have to they have
- 36:30Speaker 1: to do. There's just so many different ways you have
- 36:32Speaker 1: to shape that. If you're a customer suit, it's fitted
- 36:36Speaker 1: to your body and so it lays correctly, and it
- 36:40Speaker 1: lasts a long time, and it's lays in your crow chair,
- 36:42Speaker 1: your back. If you don't want pockets in the back,
- 36:44Speaker 1: like I don't want suits with pants. I don't like
- 36:45Speaker 1: pants pockets and the backside. So none of my pants
- 36:49Speaker 1: I asked for that, they don't. They say, Okay, you
- 36:51Speaker 1: don't want that. You don't want that. So if I
- 36:53Speaker 1: go into store, I can't get that so mad because
- 36:56Speaker 1: I got there, you go right there. And so I
- 37:00Speaker 1: just wanted to I wanted to slow that down a
- 37:01Speaker 1: little bit on my show today because you know, I've
- 37:04Speaker 1: talked about luxury lifestyle. I'm just trying to everybody to
- 37:07Speaker 1: know on this show today is about affordability and accountability.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And also if you just slow down for a minute
- 37:14Speaker 1: before you just start, I can't afford that you're granger
- 37:17Speaker 1: rejan that I was just running over there there and
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not putting down man square halls. I'm
- 37:22Speaker 1: not putting out soup mark, I'm not putting out D
- 37:24Speaker 1: and K. That's what they do. But I'm just letting
- 37:27Speaker 1: you know that there are options out there if you
- 37:29Speaker 1: just expand your own rise and just a little bit
- 37:32Speaker 1: and go. You know something, if I spend two hundred
- 37:34Speaker 1: dollars more, rashand McDonald's telling me, if I go to
- 37:37Speaker 1: Habby get a soup made in Dallas, Texas, guess what,
- 37:41Speaker 1: it's gonna last me ten fifteen years. I kid you not.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I kid you not. I have suits unless I've gained weight.
- 37:47Speaker 1: That's only I might. I'll grow them. I might, I'll
- 37:49Speaker 1: weigh them. But then I guess what. I've lost sixteen
- 37:51Speaker 1: pounds on back in them, So I guess what. I
- 37:53Speaker 1: pulled them right off that that closet, reached out back
- 37:55Speaker 1: and stove stove. The other day when the producers came
- 37:59Speaker 1: and EGO, is that new suit? I said, yeah, but
- 38:02Speaker 1: it was. That's right because it was a customazing. I
- 38:08Speaker 1: want to shift gears here because you sent me a
- 38:11Speaker 1: list of questions and I wanted the question. You said,
- 38:14Speaker 1: you're looking for interns with marketing and social media experience.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Explain that to us and why is that important? Yes, yes, uh,
- 38:21Speaker 1: it's very important to me now because I have our
- 38:24Speaker 1: e commerce website, you know, on our website and also
- 38:28Speaker 1: on the e commerce on like a Shopify and Amazon
- 38:34Speaker 1: and e base and marketplaces. Now I'm looking for interns,
- 38:38Speaker 1: you know, somebody that have experienced in social media, you know, uh,
- 38:43Speaker 1: in social marketing that can help me, you know, in
- 38:46Speaker 1: the business you know, of course, you know, I specialized
- 38:50Speaker 1: in custom clothing and in fashion, and I have learned
- 38:54Speaker 1: something about the computer, you know, the new age technology.
- 38:58Speaker 1: But I needed you know everything, you need help now
- 39:03Speaker 1: you need to be a social media your your good
- 39:12Speaker 1: because that's yeah, yeah, the word what I do? You know?
- 39:15Speaker 1: But you know, just like some brothers come to me,
- 39:17Speaker 1: you know, guys come over here, this here, how be
- 39:20Speaker 1: by need happy in my wardrobe? You know, I don't
- 39:22Speaker 1: know what to do, you know. So that's why I'm like, no,
- 39:25Speaker 1: I need happy you know, and marketing on social media.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Somebody that can help me right now, you know, I
- 39:31Speaker 1: know somebody side there and that I'm glad you're saying
- 39:34Speaker 1: that because that's my money making conversations all about the
- 39:37Speaker 1: understand that you know, to expand your brain, like tell
- 39:39Speaker 1: us about it. It's the Taylor Club. Is that your
- 39:41Speaker 1: e commerce store? How to sell customer and and women
- 39:45Speaker 1: be spoke clothing. Is that's what you're talking about? Yes, Yes,
- 39:48Speaker 1: explain to us what that. Go ahead, explain to us
- 39:53Speaker 1: and sign it that. Okay, sert to Taylor Club stylis
- 39:56Speaker 1: dot com explains exactly what you're trying to do there, Okay. So, um,
- 40:01Speaker 1: the website is the review the you that o king
- 40:05Speaker 1: Habib dot com. And I also have a w W
- 40:08Speaker 1: that oaking Habib that mine shopify dot com. You know
- 40:12Speaker 1: where you can buy different things. You know, that's on
- 40:15Speaker 1: a worldwide UM E command drop shipping marketplace. You know
- 40:21Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But but the oaking Habib dot com
- 40:24Speaker 1: is basically for the custom suits and custom clothing and
- 40:30Speaker 1: you know that that we're doing. So we have, UM,
- 40:34Speaker 1: were in need of somebody you know that can help
- 40:36Speaker 1: me to to market it, you know, and and do
- 40:39Speaker 1: the and I can be I can expand my brand
- 40:44Speaker 1: on the internet. Uh. This is this is important and
- 40:47Speaker 1: that's why I want him to bring this up because
- 40:49Speaker 1: a lot of people don't understand you can't be successful
- 40:51Speaker 1: by yourself. I'm sorry you can't be a lot of
- 40:54Speaker 1: people understand that I remember managing Steve. You know, I
- 40:58Speaker 1: just I really was lost, but I realized that I
- 41:01Speaker 1: I set up a format around him. People who did
- 41:05Speaker 1: his his website, people did this, social media, people who
- 41:08Speaker 1: booked this, air travel, people who do so. I'm not
- 41:11Speaker 1: saying that you need all those things, but you need
- 41:13Speaker 1: to establish a relationship with people that you can count
- 41:16Speaker 1: on and I mean count on that believes in you.
- 41:20Speaker 1: And they also need to have people that believe in
- 41:22Speaker 1: your brand, not people who just want to buy into you,
- 41:24Speaker 1: but believe in your brand. So that means that sleep
- 41:28Speaker 1: is not a prior to them selling who you are
- 41:30Speaker 1: so prior to them. And that's all you're saying in
- 41:32Speaker 1: this interview today is about. Look with Sean, I'm in
- 41:35Speaker 1: the to make you look good business, but also I
- 41:38Speaker 1: need people to help me tell people that make you
- 41:41Speaker 1: make them look good. And that's what this interview is
- 41:43Speaker 1: all about, this money making conversations all about. And I
- 41:46Speaker 1: want to tell you thank you for coming on my show.
- 41:47Speaker 1: I need some banners from you so I can get
- 41:49Speaker 1: the word out about these interns and also to sell
- 41:52Speaker 1: your e commerce store because you're talented a young man
- 41:54Speaker 1: based in Dallas. I was so happy I got to
- 41:56Speaker 1: see you, and I'm so happy you came on Money

- 45:21Speaker 1: born in Boston and raised in Hall. I'm one of
- 45:23Speaker 1: my favorite favorite neighborhoods in the country. She's the author
- 45:26Speaker 1: of Blend and Uh, author of the book Blend and
- 45:29Speaker 1: Avid art collector, songwriter Philanthrocists, charge agent and founder of
- 45:33Speaker 1: the Art Lead Her. She is on the show today
- 45:37Speaker 1: discussed her book Blend is Secret to co parent it
- 45:41Speaker 1: and creating a balanced family. Please, welcome to Money Making Conversation,
- 45:46Speaker 1: Mashonda two Ferry, Do I say that correct? Okay? Now?
- 45:58Speaker 1: Is that? What is that? That French? What is that?
- 46:02Speaker 1: You know? Because you know, I just know Spanish. I
- 46:04Speaker 1: just can't go over there. But I'm good. First of all,
- 46:06Speaker 1: thank you for coming on my show. Thank you for
- 46:08Speaker 1: coming to my show. Please because of the fact that
- 46:12Speaker 1: when you hear about families about what you said, divorce,
- 46:15Speaker 1: divorce rats about in this country, So your story is
- 46:19Speaker 1: not unusual story, but your story is unusual because guess
- 46:23Speaker 1: what you decided to, uh, create a relationship with the
- 46:28Speaker 1: person that that was no longer a part of your life,
- 46:31Speaker 1: the father your child? And why was that? What was
- 46:34Speaker 1: that important? And it's a lot of things you want
- 46:36Speaker 1: to talk about once slow down. I read your book,
- 46:38Speaker 1: incredibly good book, because because I read books that this,
- 46:42Speaker 1: this won't be no generic conversation. So if I if
- 46:44Speaker 1: I read some quotes now, you might have to squitch.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I did right there. I did right there,
- 46:48Speaker 1: because it's important that people understand the value what you're
- 46:51Speaker 1: trying to say, because we hear so many stories about
- 46:55Speaker 1: you know, especially you know, you have a young son,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and I think it's important at that young song maintained
- 47:02Speaker 1: that that that that that male figure in his life.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Now in doing this process and getting there, was that
- 47:09Speaker 1: important to you maintaining the male figure in his life
- 47:13Speaker 1: or just creating a positive relationship overall for your son
- 47:16Speaker 1: that your head, Well, those are two extremely important parts
- 47:23Speaker 1: of it, you know. Number one, I didn't want to
- 47:27Speaker 1: walk around being a miserable, unhealthy, emotionally disabled person for
- 47:34Speaker 1: the rest of my life. So I felt like I
- 47:38Speaker 1: needed to heal the relationship between myself and my ex husband. UM.
- 47:43Speaker 1: You know, it's very important for women to understand that
- 47:47Speaker 1: that is possible and that it is necessary if you
- 47:51Speaker 1: want to be a fully present, happy, healthy human being. Um.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And then number two, of course, and this isn't in
- 47:59Speaker 1: order there equally very important. But I really wanted my
- 48:03Speaker 1: son to feel at peace in his life with his
- 48:08Speaker 1: family and his parents. And I wanted it to be
- 48:11Speaker 1: more more than just co parenting when you just you
- 48:15Speaker 1: dropped your kids off and you wave at the parents
- 48:17Speaker 1: and you like go about your way and there's no sincerity,
- 48:20Speaker 1: there's no human emotion involved. I wanted him to see
- 48:24Speaker 1: us coexisting is two people that love him and that
- 48:28Speaker 1: want the best for him. So I made a conscious
- 48:32Speaker 1: decision to make that happen. I spoke to my ex husband,
- 48:36Speaker 1: I told him what we needed to do for our child,
- 48:39Speaker 1: and that was the beginning of the journey. Now, a
- 48:44Speaker 1: lot of crying in this book, a lot of emotional tuggy.
- 48:49Speaker 1: What's in this book? I read? And I think that's
- 48:52Speaker 1: where and I in in some worrids. I felt I
- 48:56Speaker 1: felt sad because who you are, beautiful young lady, beautiful child,
- 49:02Speaker 1: have a life that you expected. You know, when people
- 49:05Speaker 1: get married, they expect to stadium. Nobody gets married to
- 49:07Speaker 1: say I'm out of here in a year. You get
- 49:10Speaker 1: married to be last for a long time. And when
- 49:11Speaker 1: you start talking about your background, you know which we
- 49:14Speaker 1: were talking about in more detail, you know that wasn't
- 49:17Speaker 1: that wasn't the life that was shown you. You wanted
- 49:19Speaker 1: to be in a uh, this this format for forever.
- 49:22Speaker 1: So when you when you started changing? Did you start
- 49:25Speaker 1: changing when you start seeing that, hey, this is not
- 49:28Speaker 1: gonna last. Because that's why I wanted to talk about
- 49:30Speaker 1: because you know a little bit about because you know,
- 49:34Speaker 1: this is being played out in front of your child,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and then the divorce is being played out in front
- 49:38Speaker 1: of your child, and then the resolution to hey, let's
- 49:40Speaker 1: fix this so our child can have a healthy life
- 49:43Speaker 1: between the two of us. Talk to me about that. Well,
- 49:48Speaker 1: you know, of course, we we um we enter a relationships,
- 49:52Speaker 1: you know, we fall in love or we create these
- 49:56Speaker 1: bonds with people, and we expect the most. We expect
- 50:01Speaker 1: longevity and we expect you know, a certain level of communication.
- 50:06Speaker 1: But people don't realize is that when you're young, that's
- 50:12Speaker 1: impossible because you can't. You can't expect those things from
- 50:16Speaker 1: someone who who doesn't even know themselves yet, you know,
- 50:20Speaker 1: so you have two kind of um And what I
- 50:23Speaker 1: had to do to get to this point also is
- 50:27Speaker 1: to let go, to let go of those expectations, let
- 50:31Speaker 1: go of all the ideas images that I created of
- 50:36Speaker 1: what a beautiful family is supposed to be, and really
- 50:41Speaker 1: just accept where I was at in my life with
- 50:44Speaker 1: my my ex husband and his new wife and and
- 50:47Speaker 1: my our child, because that was the reality. And the
- 50:52Speaker 1: expectations are pretty much just an illusion when you think
- 50:55Speaker 1: of it, because you can't control that. You know, it's
- 50:58Speaker 1: completely out of your hands. And to get to that
- 51:02Speaker 1: place where it's okay and you surrender and you just
- 51:05Speaker 1: allow life to be what it is, you have to heal.
- 51:09Speaker 1: There's a lot of healing that goes into that, a
- 51:11Speaker 1: lot of checking your ego and and really just living
- 51:17Speaker 1: and letting other people live. You know, you have to
- 51:19Speaker 1: respect everyone's journey. And it sounds easy coming out of
- 51:23Speaker 1: my mouth, but there's a lot of pain in the
- 51:24Speaker 1: book because it's not easy. It's a very painful process.
- 51:29Speaker 1: But it's kind of like playing let's tug the war
- 51:33Speaker 1: with somebody you're you're pulling. You're pulling and they're pulling,
- 51:36Speaker 1: and everybody's pulling, and you're exhausting yourself, you're sweating. It's
- 51:40Speaker 1: like constant negative energy and being touched around. But the
- 51:45Speaker 1: moment you let go, there's a certain freedom. You know,
- 51:49Speaker 1: there's a there's a there's a release, and you have
- 51:52Speaker 1: to appreciate those moments of tugging because if you don't
- 51:56Speaker 1: have that contrast, you'll never be able to appreciate when
- 52:00Speaker 1: you let go and all the beauty that comes in that.
- 52:04Speaker 1: That's really where blending begins. Yeah, I wanted to start
- 52:06Speaker 1: the interview off we're just talking to you, before I
- 52:09Speaker 1: started mentioning who are the other players in this? Because
- 52:12Speaker 1: I think that some people, when they don't hear the
- 52:15Speaker 1: story in the natural format and you put the celebrity
- 52:17Speaker 1: names up front, they might disconnect and not here that
- 52:21Speaker 1: you just you, just like everybody else who got a
- 52:23Speaker 1: divorce in the end. In in the end, you know
- 52:26Speaker 1: you're not. When people get the divorce, they realize there
- 52:29Speaker 1: might be certain price tax tied to it, but it's
- 52:32Speaker 1: still somebody said, this relationship needs to end, we need
- 52:36Speaker 1: to walk its up with directions. But guess what, we
- 52:38Speaker 1: have a child that's s that's the defining moment of
- 52:42Speaker 1: fixing it right, of getting it right. If you were
- 52:45Speaker 1: just no child involved, you just going but your business,
- 52:47Speaker 1: just go partying. But that child is the key because
- 52:50Speaker 1: I would tell people I have a child, that child
- 52:52Speaker 1: and asked to come into this world. Okay, you fight
- 52:56Speaker 1: that child into this this world with the expectation that
- 52:59Speaker 1: you're going to create a life that's gonna make that
- 53:00Speaker 1: that that young man a young lady successful in so
- 53:04Speaker 1: many ways beyond your lifestyle, because that's all you want.
- 53:07Speaker 1: And kids, you you don't want the two things you
- 53:08Speaker 1: don't want to out You want to outlive your child.
- 53:11Speaker 1: You want your child outlive you, and you want them
- 53:13Speaker 1: to have a better life than you had. Those are
- 53:14Speaker 1: the goals you want for your child. And that's how
- 53:17Speaker 1: that's why you're bringing into the world and you cheer
- 53:19Speaker 1: and you're so happy when you have a healthy baby
- 53:21Speaker 1: because it was a miracle to have a healthy child.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Know that it's not something that a lot of people
- 53:27Speaker 1: take it for granted, and it's not You should not
- 53:28Speaker 1: take that for granted. And the celebrities that were involved
- 53:31Speaker 1: in this was Swiss Beats and Alicia Keys and uh,
- 53:35Speaker 1: and that's I have to bring that up because you know,
- 53:39Speaker 1: you became you, you became part of the tablauds. You know,
- 53:42Speaker 1: like when your child was born and ESSs was posting
- 53:45Speaker 1: nice pictures and everything about their marriage relationship, and then
- 53:49Speaker 1: the divorce happened. Then there was a different play on
- 53:52Speaker 1: your relationship with the media. Can you expound on that?
- 53:57Speaker 1: You know, well, any time celebrities are involved, there's um
- 54:03Speaker 1: there's room for sensational tabloids and headlines, and the media
- 54:11Speaker 1: takes that and they've run with it, and that's what
- 54:13Speaker 1: they feed off of. And it's a sad culture that
- 54:17Speaker 1: we live in because people in the media wouldn't much
- 54:19Speaker 1: prefer to glorify something that's negative than to acknowledge and
- 54:26Speaker 1: and give respect to something that's positive. So Ego plays
- 54:32Speaker 1: into that a lot. And there was a moment in
- 54:34Speaker 1: our separation and divorced we are we all played into it,
- 54:39Speaker 1: you know. We we gave interviews, I gave interviews. You know,
- 54:42Speaker 1: we used Twitter and all these different platforms is a
- 54:46Speaker 1: way to voice our opinions and it just turned into
- 54:50Speaker 1: a disaster. You're very savvy, You're very savvy person, your
- 54:54Speaker 1: social media influencer. You you've got a book that's gonna
- 54:58Speaker 1: be a very popular selling book. A about because I'm
- 55:01Speaker 1: sure you should go on tour, because people need to
- 55:04Speaker 1: hear your story. Like I said, fifth percent of the
- 55:06Speaker 1: country gets married gets divorced. So and your book is
- 55:10Speaker 1: I feel it's not uh you know, it's not anybody
- 55:14Speaker 1: can relate to it, and I think it's really important.
- 55:16Speaker 1: I really respected the fact that you did write this
- 55:18Speaker 1: book catering to African Americas, cater to a certain economic structure.
- 55:22Speaker 1: You cater to people to understand that you laid out
- 55:25Speaker 1: your personal pain in this book and say, look, if
- 55:27Speaker 1: you can relate, this book is for you. Because guess what,
- 55:31Speaker 1: I'm being honest. That's what I loved about the book.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I love the fact that, uh, you know, your your
- 55:36Speaker 1: ex husbands with beats was on board with it. I
- 55:38Speaker 1: love the fact that you be your childly comparing it
- 55:41Speaker 1: by Alicia Keys, and I really want to say things like, hey,
- 55:46Speaker 1: keep winning, You're you're special, and thank you for having
- 55:49Speaker 1: you coming on my show and the enjoying a moment
- 55:52Speaker 1: though it's exposing yourself on my show. I've recommended this
- 55:56Speaker 1: book to everybody, um because of the fact that it's
- 55:59Speaker 1: going to change their lives, and you do things have

- 56:05Speaker 1: on my show. Okay, thank you so much. I appreciate you.
