- 0:30Speaker 1: My guess is one of the premier motivational speakers in
- 0:33Speaker 1: the country. He created the Next Level Speakers Academy, where
- 0:37Speaker 1: he trains thousands of individuals to show them how they
- 0:40Speaker 1: can take their marketing and a message to the world.
- 0:43Speaker 1: He's also co founded Next Level Living, where one of
- 0:46Speaker 1: their initiative is to provide monthly mails to thousands of
- 0:50Speaker 1: young children and five Cape Town, South African communities. Please
- 0:54Speaker 1: welcome to Money Making Conversations for the first time. Jeremy Anderson,
- 0:57Speaker 1: how are you doing so?
- 0:58Speaker 3: Man?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Blessed man to see really good man, Honored Man of
- 1:02Speaker 2: the Year.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Yes, Maxine King, good friend of mine, and I was
- 1:07Speaker 1: honored the host, the met your beautiful wife.
- 1:10Speaker 2: There's a family affair. It was.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It was getting honor like man of the year before
- 1:14Speaker 1: we get into an interview. What does that mean to you?
- 1:16Speaker 3: You know, similar to what I should have in my
- 1:19Speaker 3: acceptance speech, right.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Like, they were honoring me as Man of the Year.
- 1:22Speaker 3: But I felt like I was just a man that
- 1:24Speaker 3: was supported, a man that was covered in prayer, a.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Man that was coached up, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:29Speaker 3: I felt like, you know, I was a man that
- 1:31Speaker 3: was able to pay homage in respect to those who
- 1:34Speaker 3: came before me, who paved the way for me, right right,
- 1:36Speaker 3: So I didn't want to say it before them, to say, yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 3: I'm the Man of the year.
- 1:39Speaker 2: It's like, now I'm a man of the year because
- 1:40Speaker 2: of my.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Pop, because of my mom, because of my wife, because
- 1:43Speaker 3: of others who have poured into me to help shape
- 1:45Speaker 3: and mold the man.
- 1:46Speaker 2: You see today.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You know a word that two words is used a
- 1:50Speaker 1: lot with athletics, used the word wasted potential, and I
- 1:53Speaker 1: wanted to bring that into our conversation because a lot
- 1:56Speaker 1: of people realized wasted potential applies to you. When I
- 2:00Speaker 1: say you, not you, I'm talking about you who are
- 2:02Speaker 1: listening to the show. And how do you derive with
- 2:05Speaker 1: wasted potential? And how can someone not fall in that pit?
- 2:10Speaker 1: If they fall in the pit, how can they climb
- 2:11Speaker 1: out of that wasted potential pit.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest, man, My life's work is to
- 2:15Speaker 3: help people not experience waste the potential because that.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Was once me.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Like, I've always been this guy to my core, but
- 2:21Speaker 3: I wasn't living a life for purpose right. So years
- 2:23Speaker 3: ago when I was growing up, drugging, alcohol abuse, a
- 2:26Speaker 3: diagnosis of ADHD, living without my biological father, like failing
- 2:31Speaker 3: the ninth grade three different times. I failed, and I
- 2:34Speaker 3: was blaming everybody else. But I got to a point
- 2:36Speaker 3: where I was like, I'm not playing the blame game.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I'm about to focus on me and go all in.
- 2:40Speaker 3: And so I was able to rehabilitate my life, my
- 2:42Speaker 3: soul become this new person. Now over the last sixteen years,
- 2:46Speaker 3: I've been living this life of purpose, And so I
- 2:48Speaker 3: tell other individuals like a lot of people.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Have wasted potential.
- 2:52Speaker 3: That means they got something great inside them, but they
- 2:54Speaker 3: don't see it. They got something great inside them, they
- 2:56Speaker 3: don't know how to tap into it. They got something
- 2:58Speaker 3: great aside them, but they think like time has passed.
- 3:00Speaker 3: They got some great inside them, but they can't get
- 3:03Speaker 3: over the victim mindset. They got some great inside them,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but they don't know how to pursue the.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Thing that God has already put inside of them.
- 3:09Speaker 3: So that wasted potential is a real thing that people
- 3:11Speaker 3: struggle with every single day, and so I try to
- 3:14Speaker 3: show them like, no, no, no, it's a whole little world
- 3:16Speaker 3: out here. There's so much more you can accomplish and
- 3:18Speaker 3: achieve if you believe and then you pursue it. But
- 3:21Speaker 3: most people don't be paid. They don't believe it, and
- 3:24Speaker 3: they don't pursue it. And so that's what we call
- 3:26Speaker 3: waste the potential.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Well, you know a lot of people because of the
- 3:29Speaker 2: word fear.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Now, waste depicture offers a direction that you don't know
- 3:34Speaker 1: and that will create fear. So I'm just building our
- 3:37Speaker 1: conversation at Jeremy because I think there's a journey when
- 3:40Speaker 1: you are constantly motivating people your academy, that's what it does, right,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and one wants to come to your academy. A lot
- 3:47Speaker 1: of people have a perception of what motivation is or
- 3:50Speaker 1: what public speaking is. When one comes to your academy,
- 3:53Speaker 1: what are you trying to achieve and what perception are
- 3:56Speaker 1: you trying to tell people not.
- 3:58Speaker 2: To come with?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, the first thing is people coming all the time.
- 4:01Speaker 3: They like, I'm trying to get the bag. They like,
- 4:03Speaker 3: You've been a seventh figure speaking for years. I've been
- 4:05Speaker 3: watching you. I see your house, I see how you live.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I want to be speaking for the bag. And I'm like,
- 4:10Speaker 3: don't come to me for profits, come to me for purpose,
- 4:13Speaker 3: don't come for me for income, come to me for impact.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Because if your heart is in the right place and
- 4:17Speaker 3: you really do care about people and you really do
- 4:20Speaker 3: want to add value to the people's lives, now I'm
- 4:22Speaker 3: i gonna show you how to live impact and make
- 4:24Speaker 3: the income. Like I'm gonna show you how to live
- 4:25Speaker 3: a life a purpose and make profits. So the first
- 4:28Speaker 3: thing I look for is, didn't even care about people?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Because what I'm.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Giving you is too potent, it's too powerful, it's too
- 4:33Speaker 3: anointed for me to just give it to you. And
- 4:35Speaker 3: you go out here and just chase the bag, but
- 4:36Speaker 3: you're not really chasing the hearts of people, and so
- 4:39Speaker 3: that's the first thing I look for, and then I
- 4:41Speaker 3: take them to a process where I say, Okay, now
- 4:43Speaker 3: let me show you what it looks like. Because a
- 4:45Speaker 3: lot of folks is like, I never thought i'd make
- 4:47Speaker 3: this type of money. I get so excited what folks
- 4:49Speaker 3: called me or face tied me, and they in tears
- 4:51Speaker 3: and they're like, man, I got one check for an
- 4:53Speaker 3: hour on stage, and this is more than I would
- 4:55Speaker 3: have made two three months breaking my regular job.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So we're showing them how to honest.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Their story, how to go deeper within, how to minister
- 5:03Speaker 3: and be a blessing and encourage people and inspire people
- 5:06Speaker 3: by sharing their story that was already within them. So
- 5:09Speaker 3: we talk about waste of potential. I'm like, you know
- 5:10Speaker 3: already went through all this pain, all this hell, all
- 5:13Speaker 3: this suffering, all this heartbreak, but you overcame it. But
- 5:15Speaker 3: you keep it to yourself. It's only a testimony if
- 5:17Speaker 3: you testify, right. So I'm telling folks like, get out here,
- 5:20Speaker 3: show your message, your story. And now they're like, WHOA,
- 5:22Speaker 3: I never thought I could be living this life. But
- 5:24Speaker 3: a lot of people on the sidelines because of what
- 5:26Speaker 3: you said.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Fear right and fear and also chasing money because everything
- 5:30Speaker 1: I do, my wife always looks at me, you know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: and she what do you charge?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Michael?
- 5:36Speaker 1: That's not why I'm talking to it, you know. I said,
- 5:39Speaker 1: if I'm trying to be a ten percent person with
- 5:41Speaker 1: that person of five percent, whatever that number is. When
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm talking to corporations, there's always a number.
- 5:46Speaker 2: When I'm talking to individuals who.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Want me to invest in their lives, to brand their lives,
- 5:51Speaker 1: to manage their lives, to uplift their lives, I can't
- 5:54Speaker 1: see money right, And that's a purpose that I think
- 5:57Speaker 1: has enabled me because if.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I bring them value. This is the kid in the conversation.
- 6:02Speaker 1: A lot of people to understand this, Jeremy when we talk,
- 6:05Speaker 1: but we're talking about value.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Now, people pay you for your value. Absolutely talk to them. Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 3: So I tell folks all the time, like, you want
- 6:13Speaker 3: to be valuable, you got to add value. So you
- 6:16Speaker 3: got to be willing to say, Okay, what can I
- 6:18Speaker 3: do to add value? What can I do to be
- 6:19Speaker 3: a blessing? How can I solve a problem? Speakers want
- 6:22Speaker 3: to jump on stage, you just speak. I'm like, let
- 6:24Speaker 3: me tell you something. They gonna pay you about twenty
- 6:25Speaker 3: five hundred dollars max for you to jump on stage
- 6:28Speaker 3: to speak. But when you started getting the ten thousand, fifteen,
- 6:31Speaker 3: twenty thousand, fifty thousand, I'm like, they're not paying me
- 6:34Speaker 3: top dollar just because I'm motivational. I am solving a problem.
- 6:38Speaker 3: I am adding a value. So now when we're building
- 6:40Speaker 3: out their brand, we're building out the language of the website.
- 6:43Speaker 3: You know what I tell them, I say, Hey, I
- 6:44Speaker 3: want to make sure that it flows, and it doesn't
- 6:46Speaker 3: feel like.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I want to book the speaker.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I want the consumer to feel like I need to speak, Yes,
- 6:52Speaker 3: I need this speaker.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Like you're not doing me a favor by bringing me in.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I'm actually doing you a favor and I'm about to
- 6:57Speaker 3: tax you or charge you. You know what I'm saying
- 6:59Speaker 3: because I know the value that I bring. So I
- 7:01Speaker 3: talk folks all the time like lead with value and
- 7:05Speaker 3: show up and over deliver and the opportunity is going to.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Continue to flow.
- 7:09Speaker 1: The reason I really wanted to do and I'm glad
- 7:12Speaker 1: you took the time to come up my show, Money
- 7:14Speaker 1: Made Conversation Masterclass, Jeremy, is that people don't understand that
- 7:18Speaker 1: the lessons you teach at your academy can be applied
- 7:20Speaker 1: if your small business owners can be applied for you're
- 7:23Speaker 1: a foidial or executive or non executive and administration construction.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So that's the world of trying to really create here
- 7:34Speaker 1: how to take what you're training and let people know
- 7:37Speaker 1: you can apply it in your everyday life, eating in
- 7:39Speaker 1: your relationship.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So the relationship part, that's all of them. The conversation
- 7:44Speaker 2: you get to, right. But I'll say this here, the.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Same principles, the same business principles that we teach people
- 7:50Speaker 3: on the speaker side. It's the same whether somebody got
- 7:52Speaker 3: a construction company, whether they got a daycare where they
- 7:55Speaker 3: trying to open up a restaurant, whether they.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Do tax services or anything or branding online.
- 7:59Speaker 3: You need to add value and then build yourself as
- 8:01Speaker 3: a credible source. You got to build yourself, but as
- 8:04Speaker 3: the expert, right, and so what have you gone through?
- 8:06Speaker 3: So there are some people you know this, right, Folks
- 8:08Speaker 3: mess around and go to college and you done went
- 8:10Speaker 3: to business class and then you getting taught by the
- 8:12Speaker 3: structure that ain't never filled out a EI in and
- 8:15Speaker 3: they ain't never got there, they ain't never ran no business,
- 8:17Speaker 3: but they're teaching it but when you go through the
- 8:19Speaker 3: school of hard knocks and you go through real life
- 8:21Speaker 3: and you go through challenges, like life has grown you.
- 8:24Speaker 3: So there's that instant credibility where there are people that's
- 8:26Speaker 3: watching your show right now and they got five, ten, fifteen,
- 8:29Speaker 3: twenty years of experience in their company, Like there is
- 8:32Speaker 3: value that they can add. But how do they brand themselves?
- 8:35Speaker 3: How do they put themselves in the marketplace? How do
- 8:37Speaker 3: they carry themselves? Are they maximize every opportunity? So we
- 8:40Speaker 3: talking about money making moves. We having this conversation. It's
- 8:43Speaker 3: like when I'm gonna come in and speak work, this
- 8:45Speaker 3: is what speakers go wrong? Can I wax real quick?
- 8:47Speaker 3: They come in and speak and then when they get
- 8:49Speaker 3: done speaking, they just leave with a check.
- 8:50Speaker 2: It's like, nah, you stay behind.
- 8:52Speaker 3: You get pictures, you get footage, you get testimonials, you
- 8:55Speaker 3: give referrals. Well, what happens when somebody come in lake
- 8:57Speaker 3: concrete on the property I just bought. They about to
- 8:59Speaker 3: take pictures, they gonna put it on Google. They about
- 9:02Speaker 3: to get some testimonials, they gonna ask for referrals. Like
- 9:04Speaker 3: it's the same type of system and flow, and so
- 9:07Speaker 3: people have to learn when it comes to business.
- 9:10Speaker 2: It's like juicing. I want to get.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Every drop if I got a juicer and I'm putting
- 9:14Speaker 3: carrots and apples and all the shrewd in their I'm
- 9:16Speaker 3: trying to get every single drop out of this engagement,
- 9:20Speaker 3: every single drop out of this encounter, every single drop
- 9:22Speaker 3: out of this opportunity. And most people just kind of
- 9:25Speaker 3: get whatever they can get, but they're not maximizing that.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Opportunity, maximizing the key if you're listening to the show
- 9:31Speaker 1: or watching the show speaking to Jeremy and this, he
- 9:34Speaker 1: created the Next Level Speakers Academy where he trains thousands
- 9:38Speaker 1: of individuals show them how they can take their marketing
- 9:41Speaker 1: and the message to the world. We're gonna get to
- 9:43Speaker 1: another part later on in our interview where he co
- 9:46Speaker 1: found the Next Next Level Living where one of their
- 9:49Speaker 1: initiatives to provide monthly meals a thousands of young children
- 9:52Speaker 1: and five Cape Town, South African communities. Please don't go anywhere,
- 9:57Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Master Class.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Welcome back to Money Making Conversation Masterclass. Who should by me?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Rashaan McDonald. Money Making Conversation Masterclass continues online and Moneymaking
- 10:15Speaker 1: Conversations dot com and follow Money Making Conversation Masterclass on
- 10:19Speaker 1: Facebook X and Instagram. Let's talk about how does one
- 10:23Speaker 1: get in touch with you, Jeremy.
- 10:25Speaker 3: So, you know, through my most people see myself on YouTube.
- 10:28Speaker 3: When they're looking to book me.
- 10:30Speaker 2: They'll see video under engines under what name Jeremy Anderson
- 10:33Speaker 2: dot org.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Like they'll go to my website, but they'll typically they'll
- 10:37Speaker 3: see your motivation the video on YouTube and at the
- 10:39Speaker 3: end they'll see my website. The music slowly fades out
- 10:43Speaker 3: black screen, Jeremy Anderson dot org. That's my call after
- 10:46Speaker 3: like I'm selling everybody come to my website, but when
- 10:48Speaker 3: they go to Jeremy Anderson dot org, they see all
- 10:51Speaker 3: the different things that I do in the speaking space.
- 10:53Speaker 3: And so, you know, like with other business owners, you
- 10:56Speaker 3: got leverage social media, you got levers content TikTok and Instagram, Facebook, YouTube.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You got to continue to add value, continue to get
- 11:04Speaker 3: people the game and be a blessing to them. And
- 11:06Speaker 3: then when they're ready and they're ready to spend, they're
- 11:09Speaker 3: going to remember the people who remember them.
- 11:11Speaker 2: He's interesting.
- 11:12Speaker 3: You failed ninth grade with three times oh Man, three
- 11:14Speaker 3: different schools for the ninth grade.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I would say that two ladies in my life, Linda
- 11:18Speaker 1: Trader and Georgia Nelson, who kept me right. I was
- 11:21Speaker 1: calling them bumps when I wanted to take the easy
- 11:24Speaker 1: roller out in high school.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Now, no, call my mom up.
- 11:26Speaker 1: There and my dad. This boy is special, he's unique,
- 11:29Speaker 1: he has talents. Do not let him take the easy
- 11:32Speaker 1: road out. And in order to fail three times you
- 11:35Speaker 1: were taking the easy road out.
- 11:37Speaker 2: What got you on track?
- 11:39Speaker 3: So the first school I went to was a school
- 11:41Speaker 3: called oak Wood, and I said school Alabama, Okay.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And I was at oak Ward and I was off
- 11:48Speaker 2: the same. I ain't gonna lie bro.
- 11:49Speaker 3: I was fighting every day, starting rumbles at the school,
- 11:51Speaker 3: doing pranks. And the last thing I did is our
- 11:54Speaker 3: school got all bent out of safe because I cut
- 11:56Speaker 3: the electricity off in the school.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. That school in black and
- 12:00Speaker 2: they was like, Okay, he gotta go. So that whole
- 12:01Speaker 2: year wasted.
- 12:02Speaker 3: The next year, I went to school called Johnson High
- 12:04Speaker 3: also went hunts for Alabama. But on the first day
- 12:07Speaker 3: I had one teachers like, I ain't putting up with
- 12:09Speaker 3: your mess. I heard all about you. I ain't the one.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I got kids older than you. You ain't got to
- 12:13Speaker 3: be here if you want to be here, just that,
- 12:15Speaker 3: just the energy. It was like you just met me,
- 12:17Speaker 3: but she was already stereotype in me. And she called
- 12:19Speaker 3: herself drawing a line in the sand, and I rejected that.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I was like, I ain't trying to be here anyway.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I had some other choice words for her. Never really
- 12:25Speaker 3: went to class, never really focused, never really showed up,
- 12:28Speaker 3: failed and wasted that whole school year.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Now, the third year came around. I'm at the.
- 12:32Speaker 3: School called Huntsville High also went hunts for Alabama. And
- 12:35Speaker 3: on the first day of school, the teachers was like,
- 12:37Speaker 3: we're so glad you here, and I was like what.
- 12:41Speaker 2: They was just like, we heard so many interesting things
- 12:43Speaker 2: about you. I was like wow.
- 12:45Speaker 3: They was just like no, no, no, we believe there's
- 12:47Speaker 3: a scholar inside you. We believe that you can bounce back.
- 12:50Speaker 3: We believe there's a leader inside you. And so I
- 12:52Speaker 3: was like, wow, that's interesting. And so their energy was different,
- 12:56Speaker 3: and I saw that they kept showing up for me.
- 12:58Speaker 3: And when I saw their challenging into the pain, when
- 13:01Speaker 3: I realized teachers didn't have to be teachers, when I
- 13:03Speaker 3: realized they could have went into accounting, and they could
- 13:05Speaker 3: have took up some other professions. When I saw teachers
- 13:07Speaker 3: that was diagnosed with cancer, one was grieving her husband.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You know what I said.
- 13:11Speaker 3: One used to be an engineer, but he quit that
- 13:13Speaker 3: job to be a teacher and make a third or
- 13:14Speaker 3: blessed money. Like when I saw that, I felt they
- 13:16Speaker 3: heart and they connected with my heart, and I went
- 13:20Speaker 3: all in.
- 13:20Speaker 2: It was like, yo, if you believe in me, I
- 13:22Speaker 2: believe in me.
- 13:22Speaker 3: And so I put my head down, handled my business,
- 13:25Speaker 3: summer school, night school, caught up with my right grade,
- 13:28Speaker 3: graduate from high school on time, went to college, got
- 13:30Speaker 3: my bachelor's, got my master's degree because they believed in me.
- 13:34Speaker 3: So now I trained and speak and motivate teachers, and
- 13:37Speaker 3: I teach them to teach by faith and not by sight.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Because I had other teachers that looked at me in
- 13:41Speaker 3: stereotype me. But that third school, I came across the
- 13:44Speaker 3: group of teachers that chose to see the best.
- 13:46Speaker 1: And that's what you call environment. Absolutely, and so let's
- 13:49Speaker 1: talk about environment and mindset. And I like to be
- 13:52Speaker 1: able to keep just in the mindset of small business
- 13:55Speaker 1: owners who are surround generally shying about people who doubt there,
- 14:00Speaker 1: which could be your wife, it could be your freecher,
- 14:03Speaker 1: could be your coworkers. Because everybody has a stereotype of
- 14:07Speaker 1: who or what you are capable of achieving the life
- 14:09Speaker 1: based on what they are, right, And that's the environment, right,
- 14:12Speaker 1: how do you live in that same environment but adjust
- 14:15Speaker 1: the mindset in that environment to achieve your success well.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And sometimes sometimes you got to leave certain environments that
- 14:22Speaker 3: don't serve you well, you know what I'm saying.
- 14:25Speaker 2: And then sometimes there's also the environment of.
- 14:27Speaker 3: The mind because a lot of people say, go where
- 14:28Speaker 3: you celebrated, now we tolerated.
- 14:30Speaker 2: That's deep. I get it. I heard that twenty years ago.
- 14:32Speaker 3: But it's not always as easy to say I'm packing
- 14:35Speaker 3: up and I'm leaving this company, right, I'm packing up
- 14:36Speaker 3: and I'm leaving this marriage.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Like no, no, no, no, no, you are the common denominator.
- 14:40Speaker 3: You. When they interview Nelson Mandela and they was like,
- 14:42Speaker 3: how does it feel to be free? My man was like, actually,
- 14:44Speaker 3: I was already free when I was behind bars, you
- 14:46Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. So sometimes the bars and shackles
- 14:49Speaker 3: we have in our lives, it's what's happening right here
- 14:51Speaker 3: instead of our brain. And so when we change the
- 14:53Speaker 3: environment of our minds, that can shift everything. And now,
- 14:56Speaker 3: when we see ourselves better and we value ourselves more,
- 15:00Speaker 3: you see the greatness of societies and now that energy,
- 15:02Speaker 3: other people are attracted to that work that we see within,
- 15:06Speaker 3: and then they change our outside environment as well.
- 15:08Speaker 2: And that's how.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Folks can go through a whole other level. But it
- 15:11Speaker 3: starts right here and right here, you know, I'll talk
- 15:14Speaker 3: about habits on this show.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I tell people Monday through Friday, I get up at
- 15:17Speaker 1: four thirty, and I also tell people I'm not happy
- 15:20Speaker 1: getting up at four thirty.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Come on.
- 15:22Speaker 1: So it's a habit that works for me. And I'm
- 15:25Speaker 1: not recommending that everybody gets, but you got to have
- 15:28Speaker 1: an habit, and that habit, as you say, Jeremy, is
- 15:31Speaker 1: non negotiable.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Come on, And that's important that people.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Understand that benefits aren't always feel good, right right right.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Lebron will tell you right now he
- 15:44Speaker 1: doesn't enjoy working out, Come on, but he knows the
- 15:46Speaker 1: benefits of working out are non negotiable, absolutely, and that's
- 15:50Speaker 1: why he's still at forty one putting up twenty five
- 15:53Speaker 1: a game. Come on, Okay, so let's talk about the
- 15:55Speaker 1: non negotiable that people try to negotiate in their path
- 16:00Speaker 1: a journey to success.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Well, people want to take the easy road out and
- 16:04Speaker 3: they and they want to be comfortable. So three times
- 16:07Speaker 3: a week, I'm gonna go to the sauna after the gym,
- 16:09Speaker 3: and then after about thirty minutes of the sauna, I'm
- 16:11Speaker 3: gonna get that cold punch and that water.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Be cold, bro, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:16Speaker 3: And I'm in Nah, it's like it's like really cold,
- 16:19Speaker 3: it's like bone chilling cold, but it's mentally and not
- 16:22Speaker 3: get in there, and I'm in there for anywhere from
- 16:24Speaker 3: forty five minutes. You know what I'm saying, Because I'm
- 16:26Speaker 3: trying to train and fix my brain to embrace this comfort.
- 16:30Speaker 2: If not, I'm out here weak, bro.
- 16:31Speaker 3: If not, I'm out here just going off of well,
- 16:33Speaker 3: what makes me feel good and what makes me comfortable.
- 16:35Speaker 3: And every soldier ain't never experience that. Anybody building, they
- 16:39Speaker 3: endure pain. When you see someone with a whole bunch
- 16:42Speaker 3: of muscles, that is symbolic of I.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Went through a whole lot of pain. There's a lot
- 16:45Speaker 2: of sacrifice.
- 16:46Speaker 3: So I tell folks like, for me, that's my non
- 16:48Speaker 3: negotiable for me and non negotiable. It's waking up early
- 16:51Speaker 3: in the morning, like you four thirty five o'clock. Sometimes
- 16:54Speaker 3: my friends laugh at me, I'm slipping till five third.
- 16:56Speaker 3: They're like, slip in. But hey, that's a non negotiable.
- 17:00Speaker 3: And then I'm not just up early and I'm cracking
- 17:02Speaker 3: over that email. I'm seeking God. I'm having my time
- 17:04Speaker 3: to pray, I'm having my time to meditate, I'm following
- 17:07Speaker 3: up with people, I'm connecting with others like I'm having
- 17:09Speaker 3: that time to make sure I'm grounded so I can
- 17:11Speaker 3: be the best husband, so I can be the best father,
- 17:13Speaker 3: so I can be the best author and CEO and
- 17:17Speaker 3: coach and mentor to others. So I got to make
- 17:19Speaker 3: sure that I'm routed and grounded and I'm in.
- 17:21Speaker 2: The best place. So those are some of my non negotiables.
- 17:25Speaker 3: And that's how I'm able to kind of guide myself
- 17:27Speaker 3: throughout life.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You know, it's really interesting sometimes you have to there
- 17:32Speaker 1: are two ways of being a professional, Like you go
- 17:34Speaker 1: to the outlook that can tell you you can schedule
- 17:36Speaker 1: your emails, and then you have to sometimes tell people
- 17:40Speaker 1: who you are. And so I'll send out of emails.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I wake up before a third they get emails five
- 17:44Speaker 1: going out and they come back later, go, you really
- 17:46Speaker 1: were up at five. That's establishing your brand. What is
- 17:50Speaker 1: the Jeremy Anderson's brand. That's a good question, man. I
- 17:54Speaker 1: would probably say perseverance in family.
- 17:57Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Half the time when I'm speaking, I'm talking about family
- 18:00Speaker 3: things I've gone through. You know what I'm saying, because
- 18:02Speaker 3: there has been no one that has grown me and
- 18:06Speaker 3: broken my heart more than my wife. Ain't no other
- 18:09Speaker 3: personal play on Earth has hurt me and helped me
- 18:12Speaker 3: as much as she didn't hurt me intentionively.
- 18:14Speaker 2: We were just two young, broken people trying to figure
- 18:16Speaker 2: it out.
- 18:17Speaker 3: So I made it to sixteen years in marriage because
- 18:19Speaker 3: I embraced a lot of that pain. And so a
- 18:21Speaker 3: lot of times on stage I talk about that because
- 18:23Speaker 3: folks see.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You making millions and they see successful on stage.
- 18:26Speaker 3: It's like, but you ain't see me crying, and you
- 18:28Speaker 3: didn't realize when I was depressed, and you didn't see
- 18:30Speaker 3: me in my own personal counseling sessions, and you ain't
- 18:32Speaker 3: seen me in my marriage coaching sessions, and you ain't
- 18:34Speaker 3: see me trying to figure out how I'm a clear
- 18:35Speaker 3: payroll for one of my other companies, like you didn't
- 18:37Speaker 3: see to struggle.
- 18:38Speaker 2: So a lot of times I'm on that.
- 18:40Speaker 3: My brain is perseverance, and I would say my brand
- 18:43Speaker 3: is family and everything I'm doing, I'm helping individuals go
- 18:47Speaker 3: to the next level and I'm helping them experience next
- 18:49Speaker 3: level living. But in order to do that, there is
- 18:51Speaker 3: a certain amount of pain that you got to experience.
- 18:54Speaker 3: But I really believe I'm accounted all joy. I really
- 18:57Speaker 3: believe that these things is happening. Don't happen to me,
- 19:00Speaker 3: They're happening for me. I really do believe the challenges
- 19:03Speaker 3: and hardships are gonna work out for my good Like
- 19:05Speaker 3: I don't just recite that. I really do believe that internally,
- 19:09Speaker 3: and that is something that I'm constantly pursuing. So I'm
- 19:11Speaker 3: letting folks know it's not gonna be easy. Guess what
- 19:13Speaker 3: a public service announcement. The world not gonna give you
- 19:15Speaker 3: what you deserve. The world gonna give you what you
- 19:17Speaker 3: work for. You got to show up every single day
- 19:20Speaker 3: and work for You know what I'm saying, an nobody
- 19:21Speaker 3: give me nothing but an opportunity. You know what, I'm saying,
- 19:24Speaker 3: and so you got to show up and work for
- 19:25Speaker 3: So my brand is work. It's great, it's perseverance, but
- 19:28Speaker 3: it's also family, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Because it's one thing for me to win the Win
- 19:32Speaker 2: of the Year award.
- 19:32Speaker 3: But for my wife to sit back and be like, yep,
- 19:34Speaker 3: but he's the man of my life. That's what hits
- 19:37Speaker 3: because they could have gave me the Man of the
- 19:38Speaker 3: Year ward and my wife.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Be like this, I can't stay hear me right, all
- 19:42Speaker 2: crazy to me at home.
- 19:42Speaker 3: But the fact that what the world sees is what
- 19:44Speaker 3: people see behind doors, that's the real victory for me.
- 19:48Speaker 2: And so I will say that that's what my brand
- 19:50Speaker 2: looks like.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yeah, really interesting, Thank you for coming on my show.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I'm talking to Jerry Andrews and found in the Next
- 19:56Speaker 1: Level Speakers Academy and that's nonprofit Next Level Living. My wife,
- 20:04Speaker 1: she's an aptometrist and a different level of discipline.
- 20:08Speaker 3: You know.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I get about the bed. She's still in bed and
- 20:11Speaker 2: we laugh about that.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And I was about the staffor heard this story and
- 20:14Speaker 1: she says she was driving me to work. It was
- 20:17Speaker 1: like early flight six am, so it was on the
- 20:19Speaker 1: road like four point thirty to get the airport.
- 20:22Speaker 2: And she looked at me.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I was driving and she was sitting over there in
- 20:25Speaker 1: the passage seat, and she said, when are you tired?
- 20:29Speaker 1: And I looked at it and I said, I'm tired
- 20:31Speaker 1: right now, come on, come on, And so it goes
- 20:35Speaker 1: to habits, you know, and perseverance overcoming their odds. Talk
- 20:41Speaker 1: to my listeners about excuses, because we can tell people
- 20:47Speaker 1: how we feel, whether it's good or bad, but they
- 20:51Speaker 1: really want to hear, especially when they deem you being successful, right,
- 20:54Speaker 1: talk about excuses.
- 20:56Speaker 2: So excuses is.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Something I feel like every human struggles with because there's
- 21:00Speaker 3: a difference between making an excuse versus explaining where you
- 21:04Speaker 3: are and what you got going on. And so everybody's
- 21:06Speaker 3: going to have a certain level of challenges and situations.
- 21:10Speaker 3: But what are you going to do about it? And
- 21:12Speaker 3: so for me, I try not to make excuses. I
- 21:14Speaker 3: try to take extreme ownership. So in every single situation,
- 21:17Speaker 3: I'm like, you know what, that was my fault? What
- 21:18Speaker 3: could I have done differently? Yes, this went wrong and
- 21:21Speaker 3: she dropped the ball here, but really, ultimately, if I'm involved,
- 21:24Speaker 3: it's probably something different I could have did.
- 21:26Speaker 2: So I try to get rid of excuses.
- 21:28Speaker 3: And I actually my team knows running joke across all
- 21:31Speaker 3: of our companies. They know that one thing that really
- 21:33Speaker 3: takes me off is excuses. I'm like, just take ownership.
- 21:37Speaker 3: But when I start breaking out in the hives and
- 21:38Speaker 3: I start hearing excuses, and folks is like, well if
- 21:41Speaker 3: this would have happened and that happened, well when I'm like,
- 21:43Speaker 3: I don't want to hear no excuses. Just admit you
- 21:45Speaker 3: dropped the ball. Just admit you make mistakes, Just admit
- 21:48Speaker 3: that you're human. I have so much respect for that.
- 21:50Speaker 3: So I'm by yo, miss me with the excuses, because
- 21:52Speaker 3: I ain't never met nobody that become great from excuses.
- 21:55Speaker 3: And you can reach way more accomplishments and way more
- 21:57Speaker 3: success with criticism than you will with praise and adoration.
- 22:01Speaker 3: And so I tell folks like, now, embrace it. You
- 22:03Speaker 3: made a mistake, you dropped the ball, you screw it up,
- 22:05Speaker 3: but it's okay. But don't give me a whole bunch
- 22:07Speaker 3: of excuses. Tell me what you learn, what you'll do
- 22:10Speaker 3: differently next time, And that's how you're going to start
- 22:12Speaker 3: embrace the next level living.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Next level living, let's talk about that.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because before I want to make sure go to
- 22:21Speaker 1: your website.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Yep, Jeremy Anderson dot org.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Now is next Level Academy around the next level speaking
- 22:29Speaker 2: academy is separate.
- 22:30Speaker 1: So let's talk about because you speaking, I want to
- 22:34Speaker 1: also drive them to that website.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Talk about that, right, Yeah.
- 22:37Speaker 3: So we have the myself and doctor Eric Thomas d
- 22:40Speaker 3: T to Hip Hop preacher number one motivation speaking of
- 22:42Speaker 3: what I mean this brother charging one hundred and fifty
- 22:44Speaker 3: thousand dollars every time.
- 22:45Speaker 2: You take the stage. Right.
- 22:46Speaker 3: So, doctor Eric Thomas and myself came together years ago
- 22:50Speaker 3: and we created the number one professional speaking program in
- 22:53Speaker 3: the world. Like we've got an online course community, three
- 22:56Speaker 3: different courses, weekly coaching calls, speech practice calls, like everything
- 23:00Speaker 3: you need from A to Z on how to become
- 23:02Speaker 3: a successful communicator. Some people want to be motivational speakers,
- 23:07Speaker 3: some want to be educational consultants. Some want to do
- 23:09Speaker 3: professional development workshops, some want to do ted talks. Like
- 23:13Speaker 3: we literallycover every aspect corporate, faith based men and women, empowerment,
- 23:17Speaker 3: recover every aspect of our speakers community. And we've got
- 23:21Speaker 3: thousands of members across the country, a dozen different thriving
- 23:25Speaker 3: chapters in major cities, and we're literally helping people quit
- 23:29Speaker 3: their jobs for those who want to quit. Some people
- 23:31Speaker 3: love their career, they just want to speak part time
- 23:34Speaker 3: supplement and supplement their income.
- 23:35Speaker 2: But I think it's so crazy when I meet somebody that's.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Like, I love my job as a dentist or a teacher,
- 23:41Speaker 3: or I actually love what I do in construction, but
- 23:43Speaker 3: I made an extra eighty six thousand dollars speaking part time.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I get so excited when people are like, man.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I got my first ten thousand dollars check, and it
- 23:50Speaker 3: blows my mind their minds. I love it when people say, man,
- 23:53Speaker 3: I'm a six and I'm a seven figure. We got
- 23:55Speaker 3: several seven figure speakers now, and these are all people
- 23:59Speaker 3: with pure They would have took the stage and speak
- 24:01Speaker 3: for free.
- 24:02Speaker 2: They've been doing it for free.
- 24:03Speaker 3: But we show them how to monetize their message, how
- 24:06Speaker 3: to brand themselves and really take themselves to market. So
- 24:09Speaker 3: I am so proud of it because when I'm seeing
- 24:11Speaker 3: what it's doing for our community and people across the globe,
- 24:13Speaker 3: it's truly something special. So I tell people go to
- 24:16Speaker 3: Next Level Speakers Academy dot com to learn everything that
- 24:20Speaker 3: we've been doing in this space, and man, we're helping
- 24:24Speaker 3: people literally change the world. Because it's one thing for
- 24:26Speaker 3: me and Et and Ikey Johnson to be successful speakers,
- 24:30Speaker 3: but now if I can help thousands of other people
- 24:32Speaker 3: become successful speakers, how much more good are we doing
- 24:35Speaker 3: out here in the world. It's like that multiply effect.
- 24:38Speaker 3: And so it's somewhere really proud of.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You know, the beauty of because I went to one
- 24:42Speaker 1: of y'all speaking engagements back in twenty seventeen. Okay, well
- 24:46Speaker 1: that's why I first saw you on State. Okay, and
- 24:49Speaker 1: actually we didn't meet. I just saw you on States
- 24:51Speaker 1: backstage talking to DoD Thomas. But the audience makeup was very,
- 24:59Speaker 1: very white, Hispanic black, and one would automatically think, Okay,
- 25:04Speaker 1: he's a black guy, it's gonna be a black audience.
- 25:06Speaker 2: That's not true. Yeah, yeah, so ET's brand.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I would say that our community, our speakers academy community
- 25:14Speaker 3: now is about seventy five percent African American. But that's
- 25:18Speaker 3: probably the State Ready conference that we did in twenty seventeen,
- 25:21Speaker 3: and so that was a nice mixture of people that
- 25:24Speaker 3: came in from all over the country and even abroad
- 25:27Speaker 3: that want to be motivational speakers or they want to
- 25:31Speaker 3: just be motivated. They wanted to go to that next level.
- 25:33Speaker 3: They wanted to be able to stay ready so they
- 25:35Speaker 3: ain't got to get ready.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So on what we.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Found outside of race, outside of political parties, man, outside
- 25:41Speaker 3: of the different things that divide us, there's way more
- 25:44Speaker 3: than unites us. And what we have found is that
- 25:46Speaker 3: people are looking for something real. People will look for
- 25:49Speaker 3: something raw. People want to live a life a purpose.
- 25:51Speaker 3: People don't want to have their livelihood only connected to
- 25:56Speaker 3: the government and what can happen there life. They want
- 25:58Speaker 3: to be free, you know, and they don't want to
- 26:00Speaker 3: be in that position where they're not living to their
- 26:03Speaker 3: full potential. And so people tend to tap in with
- 26:05Speaker 3: us when they're ready.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Truty to go to that next level.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Like Alex Bradman, third baseman for US National, he's a
- 26:11Speaker 1: big fan. Yeah, Eric Tumber I remember reading the article
- 26:13Speaker 1: and he said he listens to Eric Thomas motivation. Yeah, okay,
- 26:17Speaker 1: his brother captures everywhere every one of the disciples. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 1: of that platform, and now you're changing world, but not
- 26:24Speaker 1: only do your speaking, but do your next level living.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah. South Africa, Yeah, why South Africa so I went there.
- 26:32Speaker 3: My first time in South Africa was twenty sixteen, and
- 26:35Speaker 3: I met some individuals there man and it was a
- 26:37Speaker 3: great experience.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I was in Johannahsburg, Okayburg.
- 26:40Speaker 3: And then a few months some people there was like
- 26:43Speaker 3: you were too powerful.
- 26:44Speaker 2: We need you to come to Cape Town. I was like,
- 26:46Speaker 2: where's Cape Town? There was like what is this stuff
- 26:48Speaker 2: out here? Because now we gotta talk about stereotypes. Okay, okay,
- 26:51Speaker 2: because you talking.
- 26:53Speaker 1: About you've been sold a brand in America or what
- 26:56Speaker 1: Africa is?
- 26:56Speaker 2: Right? So going over there, there's a lot of ert.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I pulled up at the mass Low Hotel and said,
- 27:03Speaker 3: I've seen a Bentley, I seen the Maserati, I've seen
- 27:06Speaker 3: a Porsch truck. And then I saw Ferrari and I'm thinking,
- 27:10Speaker 3: like where the naked fulk playing drums there? And I
- 27:14Speaker 3: walk in the mass Low Hotel and I'm like, this
- 27:16Speaker 3: is one of the nicest hotel.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They took me to my suite. I was like, what
- 27:19Speaker 2: in the world. I couldnot wait to get back to
- 27:21Speaker 2: the States. Right, they say, this ain't what you thought
- 27:23Speaker 2: it was. It's sad. It's sad.
- 27:25Speaker 1: We have to deliver that message because when you laying
- 27:29Speaker 1: nothing but beautiful black woman billboards of every artist that
- 27:33Speaker 1: you will see, you know, John Legend or Kevin the
- 27:37Speaker 1: Hard or whoever is those major start you see on
- 27:40Speaker 1: their billboards. You know, it's a major shift and it's
- 27:45Speaker 1: a major insult. Yes to what the story they tell
- 27:48Speaker 1: you about Africa. That is really working and succeeding in Africa.
- 27:54Speaker 1: That's the major thing that I was so disappointed, Yeah, myself,
- 27:59Speaker 1: And so.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Now now I found myself an African. I'm letting folks know, like,
- 28:03Speaker 3: Africa is beautiful. My wife, let me tell you something.
- 28:05Speaker 3: She loves so much. She want to spend six months
- 28:07Speaker 3: now in South Africa. And e t talking about you
- 28:09Speaker 3: need to make it happen. I'm like, you don't just
- 28:12Speaker 3: do that. Overnight that plane ride, I fell in love
- 28:16Speaker 3: with Durban Africa, and man, I'm.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Looking at houses that plane ride though, Brother, But you
- 28:23Speaker 2: change your mind.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but then you get used to that del to
- 28:26Speaker 3: one and then you go sleep and you wake number
- 28:28Speaker 3: you're there.
- 28:29Speaker 2: But it is a beautiful place.
- 28:31Speaker 3: And after Joe Burgh, about three months later, they brought
- 28:35Speaker 3: me into Cape Town, which is on the coast, which is,
- 28:37Speaker 3: as you know, beautiful.
- 28:39Speaker 2: On that water.
- 28:40Speaker 3: And then about four months later they brought me back
- 28:42Speaker 3: to Cape Town. Well by my third time in South Africa.
- 28:44Speaker 3: My handlers and people who brought me in, you know,
- 28:47Speaker 3: I'm staying at nice hotels. I was like, man, show
- 28:50Speaker 3: me the city. And they showed me where they grew up.
- 28:52Speaker 3: And I saw the hood. Now, you know here in
- 28:54Speaker 3: the States we have the half and half nots. It's
- 28:57Speaker 3: different there. They're half notz is, third floors, no electricity.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Ten walls.
- 29:03Speaker 3: They might not you know, they eat every other day,
- 29:06Speaker 3: one meal. So when I saw the babies and I
- 29:09Speaker 3: saw the kids, it's like it pricked my heart. And
- 29:12Speaker 3: so we began to like tie to an organization there
- 29:16Speaker 3: and some folks there, and it was like, man, we
- 29:18Speaker 3: want to send a couple thousand dollars, you know, send
- 29:20Speaker 3: a month to just feed some of these kids. Because
- 29:23Speaker 3: I was showing them how to do community outreach and
- 29:25Speaker 3: I was showing them how to be a blessing. And
- 29:27Speaker 3: so we started to feed my Sheep program. And so
- 29:30Speaker 3: they was out there feeding the kids. And when I
- 29:32Speaker 3: saw how consistent they were for about a year and
- 29:34Speaker 3: a half. In twenty eighteen, we set up our official
- 29:37Speaker 3: nonprofit organization and since twenty eighteen, we've been feeding one
- 29:40Speaker 3: thousand starving children every single week. They're in Cape Town,
- 29:44Speaker 3: South Africa, across a number of communities.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And in twenty twenty we started our college sponsorship.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Program and since twenty twenty we put sixty kids through college.
- 29:54Speaker 2: There beautiful. Now that's a Shepherd website.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yeah now that is yeah, yeah, now that is Next
- 29:59Speaker 3: Level Living Inc.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Dot org.
- 30:02Speaker 3: And I'm just gonna say this, out of all the websites,
- 30:06Speaker 3: if somebody is like, man, I want to book Jeremy
- 30:08Speaker 3: to come in and speak for my company in my
- 30:09Speaker 3: school like Jeremy and it is in the orgor and man,
- 30:11Speaker 3: I want to have Jeremy, you know, coach me and
- 30:13Speaker 3: joining the speaker as Academy Next Level Speaks Academy dot com.
- 30:16Speaker 3: But don't nothing get me more excited than when people say, man,
- 30:20Speaker 3: I want to be a part of this pienthropic work
- 30:23Speaker 3: because as a now, you know, doctor Maxine came right
- 30:25Speaker 3: who blessed both of us with the Man of the
- 30:27Speaker 3: Year war.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Let me tell you why I love her, dearly bro.
- 30:30Speaker 3: When she saw that me and Tracy was carrying our
- 30:33Speaker 3: foundation ourselves financially, When she saw that ninety percent of
- 30:37Speaker 3: it was coming from us.
- 30:38Speaker 2: When she saw we ain't have no corporate sponsors like,
- 30:41Speaker 2: she was troubled.
- 30:42Speaker 3: She was like, you should not have to do this
- 30:44Speaker 3: by yourself. And I'm like, yo, this is what I
- 30:46Speaker 3: was God told me to do, Like I'm just gonna
- 30:47Speaker 3: do what he told me to do. When she was
- 30:49Speaker 3: just like, I've got to help you get some sponsors, Like,
- 30:51Speaker 3: She's like, you know what I'm saying. So though I'm
- 30:53Speaker 3: proud of the work we've done with the sixty kids
- 30:55Speaker 3: in college, the thousand kids every week we feed, there
- 30:58Speaker 3: is so much more work to do. And so if
