- 2:27Speaker 1: C Wind Hello, Hello, Shot, how are you well? Fantastic?
- 2:35Speaker 1: You know, I gotta share a little story. I did
- 2:36Speaker 1: it off fair. I gotta bring it on camera here
- 2:38Speaker 1: about you know I do a newsletter or with money
- 2:41Speaker 1: making conversations. We do it every week. Uh Dale. He
- 2:45Speaker 1: handled my my creative and I walked in this office
- 2:48Speaker 1: and said, I just ran across this video of C. C.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Win and she looked amazing. I said, I gotta drop
- 2:53Speaker 1: this in my newsletter. This song's amazing, and my newsletter
- 2:57Speaker 1: goes out to like two hund thousand people, and I
- 3:00Speaker 1: had to thank you. You know, it was it was
- 3:04Speaker 1: like it was like when I saw it, you know,
- 3:07Speaker 1: it was like a blessing to me because it made
- 3:09Speaker 1: me feel good. And it also made me feel that
- 3:13Speaker 1: the relevancy of who you are as a as a
- 3:16Speaker 1: person who still delivers a powerful message, a person who
- 3:19Speaker 1: still has the gift that God gave you to sing
- 3:22Speaker 1: and to inspire. So when when when a person like
- 3:25Speaker 1: me who just you know, just walking down the street
- 3:27Speaker 1: now you're kind of like walking down the street and
- 3:29Speaker 1: you see a beautiful car go by, you see it,
- 3:32Speaker 1: an amazing building, you see this beautiful tree. That's what
- 3:36Speaker 1: it was to me when I came across your video
- 3:38Speaker 1: on my feet. Talk about that that ability to that
- 3:42Speaker 1: God is giving you to make those type of responses
- 3:45Speaker 1: or reaction from people like me. Mhm wow, Well that
- 3:50Speaker 1: is such a blessing. First of all, thank you so much.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's amazing that, Um, the power of you pushing the button,
- 3:57Speaker 1: how many people you reached, that's just overwhelming to me.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And so thank you so much for sharing, um, the
- 4:04Speaker 1: good news. You know, I am. I'm blessed to be
- 4:08Speaker 1: able to give good news and I don't take it lightly.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The the position that God has given me, the influence
- 4:17Speaker 1: that He's allowed me to have, the people's lives. Um,
- 4:21Speaker 1: it's it's important that it is something that will always
- 4:26Speaker 1: uplift people and never bring them down, you know. And
- 4:29Speaker 1: now I want to say that let's stay right there
- 4:31Speaker 1: on their uplift part. Because you did a concert on TBN.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It was March twenty six is bleeve bleeve Ford Concert
- 4:40Speaker 1: it was, and it was beautiful and at two point
- 4:42Speaker 1: five minutes so beautiful, two point five million people, so
- 4:44Speaker 1: I thought it would beautiful too. Okay, let's go and
- 4:46Speaker 1: say boy, let's just Rea Sean McDonald. It was two
- 4:48Speaker 1: point five million people watch this, okay, and it was
- 4:51Speaker 1: on tb N. But you know me, Stecy, I always
- 4:55Speaker 1: like to just go deeper into what I the people.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And I went to the comments section and it now
- 5:00Speaker 1: and I want to just grab three comments that came
- 5:03Speaker 1: out of this and and and I want to talk
- 5:05Speaker 1: about them because one was from this young ladies. Just
- 5:08Speaker 1: your music saved my life after my mom passed away.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I had a bad depression. I locked myself in my
- 5:14Speaker 1: room listen to your albums over and over and it
- 5:17Speaker 1: brought me out. Thank you, miss c. C Wines. Another
- 5:21Speaker 1: one was I too, lost my daughter last year. Reacting
- 5:25Speaker 1: to the earlier comment, I just read CC's music has
- 5:28Speaker 1: been such a calm and effect on me. I wasn't
- 5:31Speaker 1: even looking for this album believe for it, believe for it,
- 5:35Speaker 1: but I guess God knew I needed it, so Holy
- 5:37Speaker 1: Spirit lead me to it. So I listened to it,
- 5:40Speaker 1: and I listened to it and I listened to it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Thank you, Father for using CC to bring your message
- 5:45Speaker 1: to so many people. I appreciate you, Lord God. And
- 5:49Speaker 1: then the last one was C. C. God richly blessed you.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I was so depressed, but after worshiping wish you, listening
- 5:57Speaker 1: to your music, I was lifted. I have tears and
- 6:00Speaker 1: my eyes as I write this. Anytime I listened to
- 6:02Speaker 1: your songs, they're so uplifting and they're such a blessing,
- 6:06Speaker 1: you know. Not trying to bring this interview down, not
- 6:09Speaker 1: trying to get churchy, but when I read stuff like that,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I gotta bring it to your attention because sometimes I
- 6:14Speaker 1: would tell people like you, you're grinders. You know what
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm saying, And sometimes you can just go that's what
- 6:18Speaker 1: you know, That's what's what I do. But you also
- 6:20Speaker 1: need to know what you do. You you're singing your heart,
- 6:24Speaker 1: your your blessings, how they affect people. When I read
- 6:27Speaker 1: something like that, knowing that you are tied to the
- 6:30Speaker 1: church founded the church in Nashville. Talked to my artists
- 6:33Speaker 1: for a minute about that. Um, well, first of all,
- 6:37Speaker 1: it makes me want to cry, brings tears to my eyes. Um,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you know, Chure, when I was let me see, I
- 6:47Speaker 1: was probably about seventeen years old when BB and I
- 6:51Speaker 1: started singing and um when I was older than that,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I was older that we started it on the TV
- 6:57Speaker 1: show years ago, and starting out that young as a teenager, um,
- 7:05Speaker 1: eighteen years old, nineteen years old, you get a lot
- 7:08Speaker 1: of male from young people. And I realized at that
- 7:13Speaker 1: time because I received a piece of male from a
- 7:17Speaker 1: young lady back then, and she was telling me how
- 7:21Speaker 1: she was listening to the radio and how our song
- 7:23Speaker 1: came on the radio, and how she was contemplating suicide
- 7:27Speaker 1: and after hearing our songs, she decided to give life
- 7:32Speaker 1: another try. Um, that hit me so hard that I
- 7:40Speaker 1: would never forget it. I realized then that my music
- 7:46Speaker 1: was not about just entertainment. Yes, we want people to
- 7:49Speaker 1: enjoy it. We want them to you know, get excited
- 7:54Speaker 1: about it, laugh, dance, enjoy it with with their their
- 7:58Speaker 1: their families and all of that come to the concerts.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But I realized that the power of music is powerful
- 8:06Speaker 1: enough to really impact people in such a way that
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's it's literally life or death. And so as a
- 8:14Speaker 1: as a as a young person, I had to rethink
- 8:18Speaker 1: what God was sending me to do and and so,
- 8:22Speaker 1: but reading those comments and hearing those comments today that
- 8:25Speaker 1: you just shared with me. Um, it just reinforces the
- 8:29Speaker 1: power of music. It's powerful when it's positive, and it's
- 8:34Speaker 1: powerful when it's negative, you know. Um. But but singing
- 8:38Speaker 1: the gospel, singing the scripture, singing the word, it actually
- 8:45Speaker 1: gives life, you know. And so I am honored. I'm
- 8:49Speaker 1: privileged to be able to sing gospel music. And I'm
- 8:53Speaker 1: humbled that God would use a young lady from Detroit, Michigan.
- 8:58Speaker 1: You know, um of touch people in such a way
- 9:02Speaker 1: that it literally saves their lives. And so I am speechless.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sharing, and for those who
- 9:10Speaker 1: rode in, thank you so much for sharing your testimony, because, um,
- 9:16Speaker 1: it's life changing for me. It's why we do what
- 9:19Speaker 1: we do. Uh. The awards are great, you know when
- 9:22Speaker 1: you were introducing me, all the the different things that
- 9:26Speaker 1: we've won over the years. I'm so humbled by it,
- 9:29Speaker 1: But that's not why we do what we do. We
- 9:31Speaker 1: do what we do to hear those testimonies that you
- 9:35Speaker 1: just share. It's finally here the season of celebration, and
- 9:39Speaker 1: no matter how you celebrate with family and friends, whether

- 11:11Speaker 1: of a wizard with arms outstretched to the sky. They
- 11:15Speaker 1: see treasure and pebbles. They see a windy path that
- 11:18Speaker 1: could lead to adventure, and they see you. They're fearless. Guide.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Is this fascinating world? Find a forest near you and
- 11:26Speaker 1: start exploring and discover the forest dot org. Brought to

- 11:32Speaker 1: thank you, you know, that's why I wanted to share
- 11:34Speaker 1: them with you. You know, I could say when I
- 11:35Speaker 1: do interviews, I try to like take the perspective of
- 11:38Speaker 1: where I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you out
- 11:40Speaker 1: of admiration. I feel blessed that I have this conversation
- 11:43Speaker 1: to share with my audience and want to make a conversations.
- 11:45Speaker 1: CC Windings is coming on my show. What We're gonna
- 11:47Speaker 1: talk about, what we're gonna talk about this album, But
- 11:49Speaker 1: we need to talk about how you are, Like they say,
- 11:54Speaker 1: you're you're very aware of the times of communications and
- 11:57Speaker 1: and that's what you said Rashan just clicking a button.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I sent your video out to two hunion thousand people
- 12:03Speaker 1: not clicking another button on Mother's Day. You started a
- 12:06Speaker 1: podcast and it's all Generations. And that's why I love
- 12:11Speaker 1: about you, because some people can get stuck in their ways.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Well this works for me, you know, and I'm creel
- 12:16Speaker 1: with it. But when you realize you are an international talent, Okay,
- 12:20Speaker 1: it's gonna be real, nas c C. You are an
- 12:22Speaker 1: international talent. That podcast allows you to personalize your message
- 12:28Speaker 1: but also reach people in the South Africa and Brazil
- 12:31Speaker 1: and Jamaica, in Russia and the Germany and England. Talk
- 12:36Speaker 1: about why you started Generations and the and why you
- 12:40Speaker 1: started on Mother's Day, and uh, let's continue this conversation. Great, great,
- 12:45Speaker 1: thank you so much for bringing that up. Even what
- 12:48Speaker 1: you're saying as far as embracing the times, embracing the
- 12:51Speaker 1: new way of doing things, it's not easy because you know,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I've been out here doing this a lot, and uh,
- 12:58Speaker 1: the industry has changed dressed age from the time that
- 13:01Speaker 1: you know I started and now, um, and so getting
- 13:05Speaker 1: used to the all the Instagrams and the facebooks and
- 13:10Speaker 1: everything that's happening now. The podcast. It's just Um, it
- 13:14Speaker 1: can be overwhelming, but you have to be willing to
- 13:17Speaker 1: embrace change. You have to be willing to to do
- 13:21Speaker 1: the new, you know, because what God has given me. Um,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I have the responsibility of stewarding it will you know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and UM, it's it's it brings challenges, but we all
- 13:34Speaker 1: have to be willing. If you're want to grow, you
- 13:37Speaker 1: have to be willing to embrace challenging times, you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: and challenges that's how we grow. And so but but
- 13:44Speaker 1: but generations, Ah, I've been wanting to start rather as
- 13:51Speaker 1: a conference or ministry for for everybody, but especially women,
- 13:57Speaker 1: UM of different ages you know. Um, Like I said,
- 14:01Speaker 1: when I started out, I was about singing professionally, maybe
- 14:05Speaker 1: about sixteen years old. I'm fifty six now, soon to
- 14:09Speaker 1: be fifty seven. And my mom is still with me,
- 14:13Speaker 1: who's an amazing woman of God. And a lot of
- 14:16Speaker 1: times we live in this culture that we as we
- 14:19Speaker 1: get older, people seem to think you lose your value.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But I I believe that you become more valuable the
- 14:24Speaker 1: older you get. Um. And my mom is still with
- 14:28Speaker 1: me and she's eighty four years old, soon to be
- 14:31Speaker 1: eighty five, And I wanted to make sure, you know,
- 14:34Speaker 1: because so many times we sit back and after someone's gone,
- 14:37Speaker 1: we wish we would have done this, and we wish
- 14:39Speaker 1: we would have done that. And I want to encourage
- 14:41Speaker 1: everybody who's hearing me today, move on what God has
- 14:45Speaker 1: put in your heart. Stop waiting for the perfect time,
- 14:48Speaker 1: because the perfect time is now. You know, It's never
- 14:51Speaker 1: a perfect time to do, to do, to step out
- 14:54Speaker 1: and to do the new, you know. And so coming
- 14:58Speaker 1: together it was important to bring my mom and now
- 15:01Speaker 1: to bring my daughter, who's a new mom, and so
- 15:04Speaker 1: that we could understand the the power of generations, the
- 15:09Speaker 1: power of love, the power of family, the power of
- 15:13Speaker 1: God's faithfulness to every generation, and also to find out
- 15:17Speaker 1: and to learn, you know, I am who I am
- 15:20Speaker 1: today because I had a mother who took out time
- 15:24Speaker 1: to pour into me um and and we have to
- 15:28Speaker 1: take out time to pour into the younger generation. I'm
- 15:30Speaker 1: here to pour into my daughter because your prayer for
- 15:35Speaker 1: your children is that they will do better than what
- 15:37Speaker 1: you've done. Absolutely, yeah, And that's really important that you
- 15:42Speaker 1: say that, because it's not about paying it for it's
- 15:45Speaker 1: just that you know, I was, I have a daughter,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I've been blessed married thirty three years. So you got
- 15:49Speaker 1: me by four he got me a boy four years okay, okay,
- 15:54Speaker 1: so and you know those those years they have challenges
- 15:57Speaker 1: because nothing ever. Yeah, but it's about communication. It's about
- 16:01Speaker 1: communication when we look at it, and and when you say,
- 16:03Speaker 1: when you talk about change, I remember when I was
- 16:05Speaker 1: managing Steve Harvey. You know we had this, Uh, I
- 16:08Speaker 1: was resisting the Twitter and the social media because we
- 16:11Speaker 1: had a radio for Man that was syndicated. We had
- 16:14Speaker 1: a fan club or like a million fan club subscribers,
- 16:18Speaker 1: like go, why do I need this new technology? Because
- 16:22Speaker 1: you need it because you have to be able to
- 16:23Speaker 1: be topical, You have to be relevant. You have to
- 16:25Speaker 1: be able to understand how people are communicating, not saying
- 16:29Speaker 1: what you're doing, and you shouldn't stop what you're doing.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Like and I still have a news letter, but also
- 16:33Speaker 1: social media also have well. I also have podcasts. I
- 16:37Speaker 1: also do things on YouTube. All these things have value,
- 16:40Speaker 1: and all these things can bring in revenue. Now in
- 16:43Speaker 1: your whole world that you have created, you know, and
- 16:46Speaker 1: these blessings that you received and been recognized for, leave
- 16:50Speaker 1: for it is your first live recorded album. Now let's
- 16:54Speaker 1: let's walk through this then, because I would just go
- 16:56Speaker 1: back to your c you know, I'm like, you know
- 16:59Speaker 1: Marvin Gay line five, you know, Frankie Beverly Amazed live
- 17:02Speaker 1: and do all this. You know, I'm that type of
- 17:05Speaker 1: live you know what I'm saying. Yeah that, and but
- 17:08Speaker 1: here in your live you know, it was a different lie.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I wasn't trying to party. I was just sitting there
- 17:13Speaker 1: being inspired and being able to think about myself in
- 17:17Speaker 1: a positive way. And so why did you wait this
- 17:21Speaker 1: long for your first live recording? And what did you
- 17:24Speaker 1: get out of What was you received out of a
- 17:27Speaker 1: CC when you when you when you brought everybody together
- 17:31Speaker 1: and then they went it's a rap. Yeah, I love
- 17:37Speaker 1: that question. Well, first of all, I don't have a
- 17:40Speaker 1: good answer for you why I waited so long because
- 17:43Speaker 1: I love the experience of life worship life concerts. We've
- 17:48Speaker 1: toured for years and there's nothing like it, you know.
- 17:52Speaker 1: But also I guess for me, in the studio, when
- 17:55Speaker 1: you do a recording in the studio, you're able to
- 17:57Speaker 1: kind of listen to it, tweaking it fixed this, make sure,
- 18:02Speaker 1: you know. So that's the value to me and doing
- 18:04Speaker 1: in the studio. But I think we just got busy
- 18:07Speaker 1: with life and never took out the time to record
- 18:10Speaker 1: a live record. I've done live videos, but never released
- 18:14Speaker 1: the record that was live. And and again, I just
- 18:17Speaker 1: don't have a good answer. I just didn't take out
- 18:20Speaker 1: the time. But but this was the time. Um. And
- 18:25Speaker 1: now that I look back, I see it was really
- 18:28Speaker 1: the time because we had planned it before the pandemic happened,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and when the pandemic happened, Um, we had to cancel
- 18:37Speaker 1: everything because your first live record, you know, we were
- 18:41Speaker 1: we were having it at a place where we wanted
- 18:43Speaker 1: about four or five thousand people, and so that wasn't
- 18:46Speaker 1: gonna work. And so now I'm looking at doing my
- 18:51Speaker 1: first live record with no people, right right, right, So
- 19:01Speaker 1: so we canceled it, Richard, and then we uh later
- 19:06Speaker 1: on towards the end of the year, I felt like
- 19:09Speaker 1: it was time. It's like, we have to release this.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And probably even more so because of the pandemic. A
- 19:15Speaker 1: lot of people were isolated. A lot of people didn't
- 19:19Speaker 1: have family members. You just said, how you've been married
- 19:21Speaker 1: thirty three years. I've been married almost well thirty seven years,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and uh, um, but a lot of people didn't have family,
- 19:29Speaker 1: you know, a lot of people were hurting, a lot
- 19:31Speaker 1: of people lost family, and so I felt like this
- 19:34Speaker 1: record was something that was really needed to create a
- 19:37Speaker 1: live experience where people, I mean, churches were closed down.
- 19:41Speaker 1: A lot of people couldn't go to church, you know,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and UM, that's rough you used to be in the
- 19:46Speaker 1: in the sanctuary with more people and worshiping together. That's
- 19:50Speaker 1: a big uh gap in your life when you can't
- 19:54Speaker 1: have it. And so I felt like this record was
- 19:58Speaker 1: right on time to help people right where they were, um,
- 20:04Speaker 1: going through the pandemic and understanding that God was with them,
- 20:09Speaker 1: to let them know that They're not forgotten, to let
- 20:12Speaker 1: them know, you know, uh, don't give up, don't give in.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Um do the things that we need to do to
- 20:20Speaker 1: protect ourselves. But but let's praise God through through the situations.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And and so after we finished this record, we had
- 20:29Speaker 1: people praying. You know, I think during that time you
- 20:32Speaker 1: could have maybe fifty people. And so I brought people
- 20:35Speaker 1: in who I knew, knew how to pray, and they prayed.
- 20:39Speaker 1: They prayed throughout that audience. UM, and we had a
- 20:44Speaker 1: great time. And after we were done, I was like, Lord,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I thank you for your love because I felt the
- 20:51Speaker 1: love of God in that room, and my prayers that
- 20:54Speaker 1: it would be so strong that when people heard it
- 20:57Speaker 1: that they would feel it. That's as beautiful. And we're
- 21:01Speaker 1: live here outside the Perez family home, just waiting for
- 21:05Speaker 1: the and there they go, almost on time. This morning.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Mom is coming out the front door strong with a
- 21:10Speaker 1: double arm kid carry. Looks like Dad has the bags.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Daughter is bringing up the rear. Oh, but the diaper
- 21:17Speaker 1: bag wasn't closed. Diapers and toys are everywhere. But Mom
- 21:23Speaker 1: has just nailed the perfect car seat buckle for the toddler.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And now the eldest daughter, who looks to be about
- 21:29Speaker 1: nine or ten, has secured herself in the booster seat.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Dad SIPs the bag clothes and they're off, But looks
- 21:36Speaker 1: like Mom doesn't realize her coffee cup is still on
- 21:38Speaker 1: the roof of the car, and there it goes. Oh,
- 21:42Speaker 1: that's a shame that mug was a fan favorite. Don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: sweat the small stuff. Just nailed the big stuff, like

- 22:32Speaker 1: roker here as a guy with his own catchphrase. I
- 22:34Speaker 1: appreciate that Smokey's only said only you can prevent wildfires,
- 22:39Speaker 1: but I'm filling in because there's a lot more to report,
- 22:42Speaker 1: like when they're parched or windy conditions out there. You
- 22:45Speaker 1: gotta be extra careful with things like burning yard wide.
- 22:49Speaker 1: After all, wildfires can start anywhere, even in your neck
- 22:52Speaker 1: of the woods. Go to Smokey Bear dot com to
- 22:55Speaker 1: learn more about wildfire prevention. Brought to you by the U. S.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Forest Service, your state forest and the AD Counsel. You
- 23:01Speaker 1: know the fun. The front part about it is that
- 23:03Speaker 1: you know I'm tell you because it's about being honest.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I'm not a daily church care or weekly curve, you know.
- 23:09Speaker 1: But when I go to church, the people even understand
- 23:12Speaker 1: this is ro Sean talking. When I sit down on
- 23:15Speaker 1: that pew and somebody maybe to the left of me,
- 23:18Speaker 1: maybe to the right, because I always get on the end,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I was I like getting on the end. That's why
- 23:21Speaker 1: I said I'll sit on the end. I might be
- 23:23Speaker 1: on the end, on the left of the end of
- 23:24Speaker 1: the right. That's that's why I sit c C. I
- 23:26Speaker 1: just I get up and let him go past me.
- 23:28Speaker 1: But it's something about um being in the church that
- 23:33Speaker 1: allows you just to be in the church. It really is.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I don't think about my job. I don't think about
- 23:41Speaker 1: my problems, and what I do think about is what
- 23:45Speaker 1: I can do with my life and the people I
- 23:47Speaker 1: care about. And I also think about forgiving my enemies,
- 23:52Speaker 1: because I I said prayer. I always I pray for
- 23:54Speaker 1: the people I care about, and I also pray for
- 23:57Speaker 1: the people that are my enemies because they need to
- 24:00Speaker 1: be blessed for some reason. Why they don't know why
- 24:02Speaker 1: they're not my enemies, but they my enemies. But guess what,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna still gonna give your blessing in my prayer.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And so being the person, you know, one of the
- 24:10Speaker 1: founding pastors of Nashville Life Church, and I'm and hearing
- 24:14Speaker 1: me say this is is that? What is the What
- 24:17Speaker 1: is what is the goal? When you see a person
- 24:20Speaker 1: like me sitting there and you got the choir singing,
- 24:24Speaker 1: you got the the people who are a naunted preaching
- 24:28Speaker 1: and serving the word of God, what is that goal?
- 24:32Speaker 1: The goal is for you to have an encounter without
- 24:35Speaker 1: Heavenly Father. The goal is for you to just what
- 24:39Speaker 1: you were saying, for you to receive what you need.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You know, we all come in the church. The church
- 24:47Speaker 1: is UM. It's it's a spiritual hospital, right. We come
- 24:52Speaker 1: in for healing. Some of us need healing physically, some
- 24:56Speaker 1: of us need healing from a broken heart. Some of
- 24:58Speaker 1: us need healing for you know, the stress that we've
- 25:02Speaker 1: been under. UM. You want to be refreshed, You want
- 25:05Speaker 1: to be renewed, your mind to be renewed. You want
- 25:09Speaker 1: to be a place of escape where you forget about
- 25:11Speaker 1: your problems and you forget about everything that you're going through.
- 25:15Speaker 1: So that you can receive the wisdom you need, the
- 25:19Speaker 1: love you need, the power you need. A lot of
- 25:22Speaker 1: times you have to be reminded of who you are.
- 25:25Speaker 1: You know. So many times we can focus on we
- 25:27Speaker 1: don't have, we forget the blessings that we already had. Um.
- 25:31Speaker 1: And so it's a great place to come to and
- 25:33Speaker 1: like you said, so that you can learn to forgive,
- 25:36Speaker 1: to forgive, because a lot of times people are walking
- 25:39Speaker 1: unforgiveness and they think they're hurting the other person, but unforgiven,
- 25:43Speaker 1: that's only hurts you to bring. Yeah, it weighs you down,
- 25:47Speaker 1: you know. And so our goal is always for people
- 25:51Speaker 1: to have an encounter with Jesus, to have an encounter
- 25:53Speaker 1: with the love of God, because it's through that supernatural
- 25:57Speaker 1: touch that your life has changed. When you go back out, UM,
- 26:02Speaker 1: you'll go back out different and seeing things from a
- 26:05Speaker 1: different perspective. Well, I'm talking to CC wine and he
- 26:08Speaker 1: hit album Believe for It is Uh is incredible. You
- 26:13Speaker 1: should like she said she was. She was wondering how
- 26:16Speaker 1: to record it because of COVID. She lost the four
- 26:19Speaker 1: thousand seat all the end and she she broke like
- 26:21Speaker 1: I love what she said, I brought fifty people in
- 26:23Speaker 1: that reshow who knew how to pray. You know, they
- 26:25Speaker 1: knew how to pray because you pitt your real church.
- 26:29Speaker 1: You're sitting next to somebody who know how to pray.
- 26:30Speaker 1: You go, you got you? Whoever you're talking to, can
- 26:33Speaker 1: you let me talk to him too? Could they praying
- 26:35Speaker 1: over there? Okay? Can I get in that conversation because
- 26:38Speaker 1: you got it all going on right there. But I
- 26:40Speaker 1: just want to talk before I let you go about
- 26:42Speaker 1: being a trail blazer because you know, we sit up
- 26:44Speaker 1: here talking about not you know, resistant to change. But
- 26:48Speaker 1: in eighteen eighty nine, you launched the Pure Springs Gospel
- 26:53Speaker 1: record label. Okay, now see see that's why I gotta
- 26:55Speaker 1: bring up. See I love talking to people like CC
- 26:57Speaker 1: because they act like they well you know, I don't
- 26:59Speaker 1: like change, Reshawn, But sitting right out there doing change
- 27:04Speaker 1: make it change. When everybody's going, why are you doing that? Girl?
- 27:07Speaker 1: Just go sign that labe over there with that record labor,
- 27:09Speaker 1: get that check, do your own time. You're doing too
- 27:12Speaker 1: much work. But in the teen and that that didn't
- 27:15Speaker 1: work for you. Tell us about that as an entrepreneur. Well,
- 27:18Speaker 1: you know when you you know you when I began
- 27:21Speaker 1: in this business. Again, you're you're young, and you're just
- 27:24Speaker 1: excited about doing what you do as far as the
- 27:28Speaker 1: gift of singing. But you you find out early on
- 27:31Speaker 1: that it's a business. You know that the record business
- 27:35Speaker 1: is a business, and and you go through a few
- 27:39Speaker 1: things that you recognize, Oh, this is the way it works.
- 27:42Speaker 1: This is what makes sense. You know, you're spending your
- 27:45Speaker 1: your time, you're giving everything you have. You want to
- 27:48Speaker 1: have something to show for it. You know, you want
- 27:51Speaker 1: to be you want to be a wise steward over
- 27:54Speaker 1: what God has given you. And so I had wonderful
- 27:57Speaker 1: people around me to let me know you could do it.
- 27:59Speaker 1: That that encouraged me because a lot of times we
- 28:02Speaker 1: look at things chard and we think that it's it's
- 28:05Speaker 1: too hard, it's something that we can't do. It's not
- 28:08Speaker 1: that people don't want to do it all the time.
- 28:10Speaker 1: A lot of times they feel like they're um, you know,
- 28:14Speaker 1: don't have what it takes. But but everybody can learn.
- 28:17Speaker 1: You know, you have to be patient and you have
- 28:19Speaker 1: to ask questions. And so we were able to do
- 28:22Speaker 1: that and start our own label years ago, and I'm
- 28:25Speaker 1: so glad I did made a major difference and what
- 28:30Speaker 1: I was seeing before from my labor um and what
- 28:35Speaker 1: I was seeing afterwards. And and so I started educating
- 28:39Speaker 1: people and telling people that yeah, if I, if I
- 28:42Speaker 1: did it, you can do it too. You can do
- 28:44Speaker 1: it too. And a lot of my friends embrace that,
- 28:48Speaker 1: you know, in the industry, and started thinking from the
- 28:53Speaker 1: entrepreneur side, opposed to UM just being an office, you know,
- 28:58Speaker 1: to understanding the importance of of owning and the importance
- 29:02Speaker 1: of being in charge, the importance of because that's another thing,
- 29:06Speaker 1: especially as a gospel artist, you want to make sure
- 29:08Speaker 1: that when you talk about your brand that you're having
- 29:12Speaker 1: the last say so, because it's not about me. I
- 29:16Speaker 1: represent the Father. I represent Um, the one who created
- 29:20Speaker 1: all things and who gave us this gift. And and
- 29:23Speaker 1: my my aim when we were talking about the goal
- 29:26Speaker 1: even in churches, that people will have an encounter with Jesus,
- 29:29Speaker 1: that they will receive um supernatural peace and hope and
- 29:35Speaker 1: and all of those good things that God brings. And
- 29:38Speaker 1: so it's so important to protect your brand UM. When
- 29:41Speaker 1: it comes to that as well, you have to go
- 29:43Speaker 1: you have to go above and be I, you know,
- 29:46Speaker 1: because it's not about me, but it's about the people
- 29:49Speaker 1: that we serve that they will be touched with um
- 29:53Speaker 1: in the right way. And so yeah, being an entrepreneur,
- 29:57Speaker 1: yeah you have to be more into the details. But
- 30:00Speaker 1: it's it's it's so worth it in so many ways.
- 30:04Speaker 1: And I want to encourage people to to think differently,
- 30:07Speaker 1: to understand that you can be a business owner. You
- 30:12Speaker 1: you want to be involved in and and what's happening
- 30:17Speaker 1: not just in your life, but all the opportunities that
- 30:19Speaker 1: are out here. Even during this pandemic, even though a
- 30:22Speaker 1: lot of things closed down, a lot of things opened up,
- 30:26Speaker 1: you know. And again it's how do you look at it?
- 30:29Speaker 1: Do you look at it as oh no, or do
- 30:31Speaker 1: you look at it this could this be an opportunity?
- 30:34Speaker 1: Is this? Is there an opportunity here for me? And
- 30:37Speaker 1: praying and asking God, you know, Lord, you've given me gifts.
- 30:40Speaker 1: We all have individual gifts and very unique gifts and
- 30:45Speaker 1: and and if you pray and ask the Lord to
- 30:47Speaker 1: show you, he will. He'll show you. And before you
- 30:51Speaker 1: know it, you'll be operating in a in a whole
- 30:54Speaker 1: different way and your whole life will be affected by it. Wow,

- 31:13Speaker 1: It's a BOLB changed my life. Like I said, you
- 31:15Speaker 1: know the pandemic. I was watching Netflix, Amazon, then it
- 31:18Speaker 1: came across the stream. I saw her live. I said,
