- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me NW one and only. Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show, this one today. I want to share with you.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's for all of us. It's for all of us,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and here it is. There is a solution to all
- 2:29Speaker 1: of your problems in situations. There is a solution to
- 2:36Speaker 1: all of your problems and situations. If you are feeling this,
- 2:44Speaker 1: are you feeling desperate about something and ain't anxious about it?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Are you feeling uncertain about anything? Are you at a
- 2:54Speaker 1: loss for words? Are you is your direction unclear? How
- 3:02Speaker 1: about that? If you can't find your purpose, that's a
- 3:06Speaker 1: good one. That stops a lot of people. If you
- 3:09Speaker 1: don't know what your next move is, that's to go, don't.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't care what it is. If the relationship you're
- 3:17Speaker 1: in it's all wrong and you don't know how to
- 3:21Speaker 1: get out of it, it doesn't matter. There's a solution
- 3:27Speaker 1: to all your problems and situations. And that solution without
- 3:32Speaker 1: trying to sound like I've been knowing this my whole life,
- 3:36Speaker 1: because I haven't. That solution to all your problems. That
- 3:42Speaker 1: way to make all your dreams come true, the way
- 3:46Speaker 1: around a lot of this and to the weakness that
- 3:50Speaker 1: you feel at times, it's prayer, prayer, a connection with
- 3:56Speaker 1: your creator. Could that be the thing it's missing in
- 4:00Speaker 1: your life. I'm just asking because whenever I get a
- 4:06Speaker 1: little bit off track, all I gotta do is think,
- 4:10Speaker 1: just a moment, Steve, have you been have you been praying? Man?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Have you been connecting with your creator? I know you're busy, man,
- 4:19Speaker 1: I know you're busy, and I know at the end
- 4:21Speaker 1: of the day you're done. You're done, and sometimes crawling
- 4:26Speaker 1: into bed is all you can manage to do. I've
- 4:29Speaker 1: said this, it happened to me last night. Again. I
- 4:33Speaker 1: did all of this. But when I look and when
- 4:36Speaker 1: I see things not moving, or I don't feel like
- 4:41Speaker 1: things are going in the right direction, or I have
- 4:43Speaker 1: a sense of being stagnant. All I got to do
- 4:46Speaker 1: is retrace it because I'm working. It's no doubt about that.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm working. But I'm I staying connected. Am I using
- 4:56Speaker 1: that weapon that's available to all of us? Am I pray?
- 5:00Speaker 1: And the answer is usually no? And so I know, okay, okay, man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm getting off track him because see, let me tell
- 5:07Speaker 1: you something. Man. The reason the reason I constantly talk
- 5:11Speaker 1: to God is because life constantly changes. People who said
- 5:16Speaker 1: they was going to do something for you one day
- 5:18Speaker 1: have changed their mind the next. Somebody you thought was
- 5:23Speaker 1: gonna show up that day called in late, had an
- 5:26Speaker 1: accident and couldn't make it. That changes the parameters of everything.
- 5:31Speaker 1: The meeting you had set up that had to be
- 5:34Speaker 1: canceled because somebody was ill. That changes the parameters the
- 5:39Speaker 1: time frame of everything. Because it's all connected. So if
- 5:43Speaker 1: I don't stay in constant prayer and stay connected to
- 5:47Speaker 1: the Creator when the thing's happen, I've not put in
- 5:51Speaker 1: my bid, I've not talked to him about how to
- 5:53Speaker 1: handle it, or I'm just not aware of it and
- 5:56Speaker 1: what to do next, And the next thing you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: it becomes a little sta agnet that has happened to me.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I gotta get back because prayer is the solution to
- 6:07Speaker 1: all of my problems and situations. I have found that
- 6:11Speaker 1: to be the case now. The only reason I'm telling
- 6:13Speaker 1: it to you is because I know if you anything
- 6:16Speaker 1: like me slash human being, then there are times that
- 6:21Speaker 1: you feel anxious. There's moments of desperation. You have moments
- 6:26Speaker 1: of uncertainty. That are times when you feel like you've
- 6:30Speaker 1: lost your way, or your direction is unclear, or your
- 6:36Speaker 1: purpose is a little blurred. You're not show anymore, or
- 6:41Speaker 1: you don't know what your next move is, or the
- 6:43Speaker 1: relationship you in or the relationships you're dabbling in. They're
- 6:47Speaker 1: just all wrong for you. Man, there is a solution
- 6:53Speaker 1: to all your problems and situations, and it's prayer. If
- 6:57Speaker 1: you're suffering from any of the things I just listed,
- 7:00Speaker 1: or any other thing you could think of, just check
- 7:03Speaker 1: your prayer. What has your prayer been lately about it?
- 7:07Speaker 1: And this is for everybody. I often find when I
- 7:12Speaker 1: get that disconnection, man, my prayd and slipped off. I
- 7:17Speaker 1: started feeling a little bit less, So I gotta jump
- 7:20Speaker 1: back on it. I'm just offering you a solution to it. Man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and and and and and I'm giving you a solution
- 7:26Speaker 1: that works one of the thousand percent fust shout. See,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I ain't guessing at this one. I'm telling you what
- 7:33Speaker 1: has happened in my life, how I did it, and
- 7:36Speaker 1: it'll do for you. God has filled with mercy and grace.
- 7:41Speaker 1: He knows we all messed up. He knows all of
- 7:44Speaker 1: us have done some jacked up things that don't nobody
- 7:47Speaker 1: know about. He know all about our past, man, he
- 7:50Speaker 1: know all of that. But he is so full of
- 7:54Speaker 1: grace and mercy, so full of fifty fifth chances. But
- 7:59Speaker 1: you know the thing about your life though, and the
- 8:02Speaker 1: thing I had to come to terms with, and the
- 8:04Speaker 1: reason I don't let out of the reason I don't
- 8:06Speaker 1: let my past bury me, the reason I don't let
- 8:09Speaker 1: my past define me is because my past I found out,
- 8:16Speaker 1: or just the ingredients needed for me to make this
- 8:23Speaker 1: cake I'm eating now. My past is just my ingredients. See,
- 8:29Speaker 1: you don't get rid of your pass. They ain't. They
- 8:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna where they are the ingredients. But when you
- 8:36Speaker 1: put them with something else, they look better, they taste better.
- 8:39Speaker 1: It is better all of our past are just the
- 8:44Speaker 1: ingredients that have become the cake we eating now. Now,
- 8:47Speaker 1: if you don't like the way your cake taste, then
- 8:50Speaker 1: you gotta start putting some other ingredients in there. Just
- 8:53Speaker 1: because you started off and your cake was messed up,
- 8:56Speaker 1: don't mean you can't straighten out the flavor of your cake.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You gotta some different ingredients in there. So let's say
- 9:04Speaker 1: your cake is trifling tasted, it's bitter. Your cake is bitter, Well,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you got to dilute the bitterness. You gotta put some
- 9:11Speaker 1: more goodness in there. So you gotta put some goodness
- 9:14Speaker 1: ingredients to take away the taste of the bitterness. So
- 9:20Speaker 1: you gotta put some different ingredients in there. You gotta
- 9:22Speaker 1: start living your life a little more kindly, a little
- 9:25Speaker 1: more thoughtful, a little more sharing, a little more caring.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And then after a while, man, those new ingredients combined
- 9:33Speaker 1: with that bitter it starts overshadowing the bitter taste because
- 9:36Speaker 1: the bitter taste is further behind you. Now, see, something
- 9:40Speaker 1: that happened to you twelve fifteen, thirty, twenty five, sixteen
- 9:45Speaker 1: years ago ain't got to be the flavor that's in
- 9:47Speaker 1: your mouth now less you let it be it's the ingredients. Man.
- 9:54Speaker 1: If you're sick, it away your cake taste and change
- 9:56Speaker 1: your ingredients. Put something else in your cake mix so
- 10:01Speaker 1: you can get a better taste if you don't like
- 10:05Speaker 1: the way your life taste. Pray, prayer changes things. I'm
- 10:10Speaker 1: telling you. I've been here my mama saying for years, boy,
- 10:14Speaker 1: prayer changes things. Do you hear me? Prayer changes things?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Don't my mama? You said to me all the time.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I said to my TV artist, is when they come
- 10:25Speaker 1: see me on the talk show, before I walk off stage,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I tell them these words, my mother said, I said,
- 10:30Speaker 1: my mother used to always tell me this, and it's
- 10:33Speaker 1: bailed me out, and it might do the same thing
- 10:34Speaker 1: for you. I say, whenever I get in trouble, I
- 10:38Speaker 1: hear her words. She says, son, don't forget to pray,
- 10:43Speaker 1: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 10:46Speaker 1: to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things, and you better
- 10:51Speaker 1: believe something. It one hundred percent showed. Do you're listening,
- 11:01Speaker 1: Just ask My voice enters your ear drum. It is
- 11:05Speaker 1: on cracking, popping, doing that down, being bounded. P Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: shout the strawberries. Good morning, Colin for real. What's happening? Yo?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Morning up, nephew, Tommy, what's different? What's the huffing and puffect? Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: what's going on in your life? Just everything? You know,
- 11:40Speaker 1: nothing but everything. I'm just say, just freeing everybody, now,
- 11:44Speaker 1: that's what. Just letting everybody go. Now, I'm with it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: That gives me hope. Next time I'm up on charges,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I've got ever disce Hey, it starts at the top. Okay,
- 11:55Speaker 1: the president dog going right, completely exonerated, So why not
- 12:00Speaker 1: don't Jesse. Yeah, I'm happy for Jesse. I wanted to
- 12:04Speaker 1: take a place so we wouldn't have to do no time.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Now they didn't drop the charge. Yeah, you didn't have
- 12:08Speaker 1: to do any of that. I ain't hit nothing, he said. Though,
- 12:11Speaker 1: y'all got y'all heard what we have it coming up,
- 12:15Speaker 1: coming up, yep. That's one thing I like about coming

- 12:23Speaker 1: gotta fight you on this own. Yeah, I don't be
- 12:26Speaker 1: knowing nothing. I'd be at work. How you feeling, stick,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you know? I feel pretty good? You know, I'm happy.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I'm healthy. Oh. I love to hear it when I'm
- 12:35Speaker 1: blast happy. Uh, the vegan thing is over. Whoa, yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 1: my doctor took me off of it. Oh he did
- 12:44Speaker 1: you have to do what she did? You ain't something

- 13:25Speaker 1: been since you ate some steaks? January? Oh? You know
- 13:29Speaker 1: the exact day date. Wow, it's probably been longer than
- 13:33Speaker 1: that since I hate steak. I was even fished in.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Oh why did you? Why did you start eating meat again? Step? What?
- 13:38Speaker 1: I started? What? And it was doctor's orders? She told
- 13:43Speaker 1: me on what Yeah? My doctor y said, oh you
- 13:47Speaker 1: know that's gonna take a lot of vegans off. But

- 14:13Speaker 1: vegan and paleo type. Oh okay, that's heard that. Okay,
- 14:18Speaker 1: none of them were diets to me. I'm just calling
- 14:20Speaker 1: it eating hill. Yeah yeah, I'm just I just won't live. Well.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You look good a bottom line? Yeah, all right. Look
- 14:30Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, Jesse Smallett, Steve,
- 14:33Speaker 1: all charges dropped. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 14:38Speaker 1: You're listening to. All criminal charges against Empire actor Jesse
- 14:46Speaker 1: Smallett have been dropped and his record has been wiped clean. Wow.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That is according to his attorneys. A judge also granted
- 14:57Speaker 1: emotion to steal the case, so we won't even get
- 15:01Speaker 1: a chance to see what's in it. Okay. Less than
- 15:04Speaker 1: two weeks ago, small Lett pleaded not guilty to sixteen
- 15:07Speaker 1: counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police about
- 15:11Speaker 1: a hate crime. The prosecution agreed to drop it as
- 15:14Speaker 1: long as Jussie agrees to perform community service and give
- 15:18Speaker 1: up his ten thousand dollars bond. Small Lett has insisted
- 15:22Speaker 1: he is innocent take a listen. First of all, I
- 15:25Speaker 1: want to thank my family, my friends, the incredible people
- 15:29Speaker 1: of Chicago and all over the country in the world
- 15:31Speaker 1: who have prayed for me, who have supported me, who
- 15:34Speaker 1: have shown me so much love. No one will ever
- 15:36Speaker 1: know how much that has meant to me, and I
- 15:38Speaker 1: will forever be grateful. I want you to know that,
- 15:40Speaker 1: not for a moment was it in vain. I've been
- 15:42Speaker 1: truthful and consistent on every single level since day one.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I would not be my mother's son if I was
- 15:47Speaker 1: capable of one drop of what I've been accused of.
- 15:50Speaker 1: This has been an incredibly difficult time, honestly one of
- 15:52Speaker 1: the worst of my entire life. But I'm a man
- 15:55Speaker 1: of faith, and I'm a man that has knowledge of
- 15:57Speaker 1: my history, and I would not bring my family, our lives,
- 16:00Speaker 1: or the movement through a fire like this. I just wouldn't.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So I want to thank my legal counsel from the
- 16:05Speaker 1: bottom of my heart, and I would also like to
- 16:08Speaker 1: thank the State of Illinois for attempting to do what's
- 16:11Speaker 1: right Now. I'd like nothing more than to just get
- 16:14Speaker 1: back to work and move on with my life, but
- 16:16Speaker 1: make no mistakes, I will always continue to fight for
- 16:19Speaker 1: the justice, equality and betterment of marginalized people everywhere. Nothing
- 16:23Speaker 1: to get down. What do you mean they seal that
- 16:26Speaker 1: they can't what's it flexa seal? I mean we can't
- 16:28Speaker 1: go in there and look at none understand it's over, baby. Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I don't really appreciate all that, ain't He ain't even
- 16:37Speaker 1: thank the lie family home fire, thank us. We've been
- 16:44Speaker 1: standing behind you know who, come home, your brothers. Everybody's right.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You ain't even say none, by the live brain, your
- 16:54Speaker 1: ass back home here. If you won't it, you ain't
- 16:56Speaker 1: gonna be in this week's eat. Where's Lucia's daddy? See?
- 17:03Speaker 1: You know, you know when I said my whole thing,
- 17:10Speaker 1: you know, the whole thing. When I was looking at
- 17:11Speaker 1: the whole thing, I said, I said you. At first
- 17:13Speaker 1: I said, damn Jesse, But then you know I look
- 17:18Speaker 1: at him too African, and I know right there they
- 17:22Speaker 1: wasn't wing one. I knew right you had more, that
- 17:26Speaker 1: you had more one cut, something about more than one cut.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So you know that one? That's that was? That was
- 17:33Speaker 1: all I was trying to tell. Lose. You you knew
- 17:35Speaker 1: I got gold. You know, you know you gotta gold.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Light on the board called you know whatever, you know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: when the truth come out, then everybody's gonna have to
- 17:44Speaker 1: jump a ship. Oh what did he say? Lucia's daddy
- 17:48Speaker 1: just saying mine? He just said that everybody gonna jump
- 17:51Speaker 1: ship on him when everything didn't go down like it
- 17:53Speaker 1: did went down, right, that's all he has about to
- 17:58Speaker 1: cry always. He can't even do it like that. Man,
- 18:05Speaker 1: we'll not lose you, you you know, don't worry about it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You know, hold the whole thing and the whole thing
- 18:09Speaker 1: is you know, he free what you know what he says,
- 18:15Speaker 1: that's the whole thing. The whole thing or the whole
- 18:17Speaker 1: thing is Daddy free. That is just said. All he
- 18:20Speaker 1: had there was he he ain't gonna do no time.
- 18:23Speaker 1: The Lion family can't a full normal time and everything
- 18:26Speaker 1: because we already criminals. Now, what I need you to
- 18:29Speaker 1: do is stop saying line. Just stop saying lyne because
- 18:35Speaker 1: it sounds like you said that like the family line.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Oh and that's what I need your whole over that
- 18:41Speaker 1: don't don't matter of fact, don't say I ain't no
- 18:43Speaker 1: more to some more this blow over. I don't know
- 18:47Speaker 1: what you're saying. Nothing else do you do? Just be quiet,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you know, let all killer do all the talking from him.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Oh God, Well, listen to the the mayor of Chicago. Uh.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Robby Manuel called, uh, he's mad. He's calling the decision
- 19:02Speaker 1: to drop the charges a whitewash of justice, and Chicago
- 19:06Speaker 1: PD Superintendent Eddie Johnson said, the city of Chicago is
- 19:09Speaker 1: owed an apology. Take a listen on financial costs. There's
- 19:13Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars doesn't even come close to what the
- 19:15Speaker 1: city spent in resources to actually look over the camera
- 19:20Speaker 1: to gather all the data. God for all information that
- 19:22Speaker 1: actually brought the indictment by the grand jury, how many
- 19:26Speaker 1: many multiple different charges. The second is what I would
- 19:28Speaker 1: call the ethical costs. This is a whitewash of justice.
- 19:33Speaker 1: M m. That's the mayor right there. Well, she know
- 19:37Speaker 1: looking at them, you know mental mirror. You know I
- 19:41Speaker 1: need Steve, please not Lucia's daddy. But not Lucia's daddy.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Get out of characters. Well, see, here's a deal. I
- 19:53Speaker 1: got that the mayor's mad. I got that he's talking
- 19:57Speaker 1: about the money that a city spent. I got that
- 20:00Speaker 1: he's talking about it being a whitewasher justice. But at
- 20:04Speaker 1: the end of the day, mister Mayor, the state of Illinois,
- 20:09Speaker 1: the City of Chicago. This is your judicial system. This
- 20:13Speaker 1: is your judicial system. This is not Jesse Smullet's now.
- 20:16Speaker 1: This is your and your judicial system dropped all the charges. Now,
- 20:22Speaker 1: if y'all's case was that tight, you know, man, y'all
- 20:25Speaker 1: could have bought it, but you dropped all the charges. Now,
- 20:28Speaker 1: you can't be mad now as the mayor talking out
- 20:31Speaker 1: of whitewasher justice and all that, I mean, yeah, because
- 20:36Speaker 1: it ain't go your way. It's it's way too many
- 20:41Speaker 1: young black men that have lost their lives took employees
- 20:46Speaker 1: of different states around the nation, and they get to
- 20:50Speaker 1: go home and they they they they were killed by
- 20:57Speaker 1: state employees, city employees. So you know, if you're gonna
- 21:03Speaker 1: if you're gonna call this a whitewasher justice, we show
- 21:06Speaker 1: got to call all that other mess a whitewah. Come
- 21:08Speaker 1: on now, so you know really true now for real?
- 21:12Speaker 1: Now hold up, Jesse go free is a whitewasher justice.
- 21:15Speaker 1: If a police kill a black man and he go free?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Who whats that? What's that? What's that? And where are
- 21:20Speaker 1: you when that happens? Where are you? Where's a press conference?
- 21:25Speaker 1: I don't hit no males talking about that all right, Steve. Yes,
- 21:29Speaker 1: it ain't even hurt nobody. I don't even really give
- 21:31Speaker 1: it but himself. Yeah. President got off from the Mullet investigation.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Where we at? Yeah, all right, we're gonna switch gears
- 21:39Speaker 1: a little coming up next more fun. The nephew is
- 21:43Speaker 1: in the building. Wou run that prank back? Right after this?
- 21:46Speaker 1: You're listening. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:52Speaker 1: guys in the entertainment news more on Juse small Lett's case.
- 21:55Speaker 1: All charges have been dropped in case you haven't heard.

- 30:21Speaker 1: a baby girl over the weekend. Uh. Sources close to
- 30:25Speaker 1: Wendy said, this is a crazy situation. Wendy is in
- 30:29Speaker 1: a halfway house fighting for her sobriety. Meanwhile, her husband
- 30:33Speaker 1: is at the side of his mistress who is giving
- 30:35Speaker 1: birth to a baby. You're were you doing? Yeah? I
- 30:42Speaker 1: mean you'll recall. Wendy returned to work. She admitted to
- 30:45Speaker 1: substance abuse issues. She denied any turmoil at home. You
- 30:50Speaker 1: remember this, she said. Marriages are not easy. Don't ask
- 30:53Speaker 1: me about mine until you see this ring is gone,
- 30:56Speaker 1: meaning her wedding ring. She said, an innate going nowhere,
- 30:59Speaker 1: not in this life, lifetime end quote now now now.
- 31:04Speaker 1: According to the Daily Mail, Get this, Wendy's husband's uh,
- 31:08Speaker 1: Kevin Hunter. His mistress has given him several ultimatums, insisting
- 31:13Speaker 1: that he leave Wendy so he can settle down and
- 31:15Speaker 1: start a family together. Uh. That's what his mistress wants
- 31:19Speaker 1: to do. But Kevin tulsherina, he cannot leave Wendy because
- 31:23Speaker 1: she's paying all their bills. What what what? What? What
- 31:28Speaker 1: isn't he a like an executive a producer on the
- 31:31Speaker 1: talk show? Um, all right, I like to wow. Also yesterday,
- 31:40Speaker 1: there were reports that Wendy was rushed to the hospital
- 31:42Speaker 1: after a relapse um after reportedly being found drunk in
- 31:46Speaker 1: a bad way before she was brought to the hospital.
- 31:49Speaker 1: This is crazy story. Yeah, we're wishing Wendy the absolute best.
- 31:54Speaker 1: This this is terrible right here, this is terrible. I mean,
- 31:58Speaker 1: you know, it's I hate to have to even report
- 32:01Speaker 1: stories like this. But sure, yeah, hey, sure the rain
- 32:04Speaker 1: ain't going nowhere, but he is, man oh man, Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 1: if this is true, I understand her getting drunk. I'm sorry,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I understand. Yeah, you know. Can we just congratulate the
- 32:20Speaker 1: baby being here? Well, I'm just it's just under these
- 32:24Speaker 1: circumstances though. You know, this is crazy. I mean, it's
- 32:28Speaker 1: not the baby terrible if this is all true. Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 1: And then for Wendy, it seems like she's trying to,
- 32:34Speaker 1: I don't know, stand by her. Man, but if he's
- 32:37Speaker 1: doing you like this like this, yeah, come on now
- 32:42Speaker 1: right here. So this ain't gonna be in hot topics.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I've just asked you what she do topics? Hot topics,
- 32:55Speaker 1: that's that's one of her Yeah, I just I feel
- 32:58Speaker 1: so bad for her. I really really do this. This
- 33:00Speaker 1: is terrible, you know, and she's got you know, if
- 33:03Speaker 1: it's true she's going through and um, you know, we
- 33:06Speaker 1: just got to pray for it. Just pray for it.
- 33:08Speaker 1: And the baby is innocent. Um, you know, it's just
- 33:11Speaker 1: a horrible situation all the way around. But a lot
- 33:15Speaker 1: of people, you know, I understand Junior, what you were saying,
- 33:19Speaker 1: because she this is what she does, and this is
- 33:23Speaker 1: how she got another celebrity. Yeah yeah, and their situation
- 33:27Speaker 1: and their husband and infidelity or their spouse. This will
- 33:30Speaker 1: be a story on her show all day. So yeah. Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 1: and it doesn't not it's sad, It don't feel good.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Does not anybody want to say carma or anything like that?
- 33:44Speaker 1: Oh no, not now. I mean people have said that though, Junior,
- 33:48Speaker 1: So you're not far off. Yeah, a lot of people
- 33:50Speaker 1: have said that. But I mean, I just hate to
- 33:52Speaker 1: see anybody going through something. You ain't trying to kick
- 33:55Speaker 1: nobody when they No, I'm not at all, not at all,
- 33:58Speaker 1: not at all, not at all. And she used to
- 34:00Speaker 1: be in radio, she used to be a colleague. So yeah,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I just I'm sorry. I can hand no baby, man. Lord. Yeah,
- 34:09Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna move on. Time for today's headline Steve,
- 34:14Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann Trip, Thanks everybody, this is
- 34:18Speaker 1: and Trip with the news. Well and what was a
- 34:20Speaker 1: surprise to most yesterday everybody's talking about it. Prosecutors in
- 34:24Speaker 1: Chicago dropped all charges against the actor Jesse Smallett, who
- 34:27Speaker 1: faced sixteen felony counsel disorderly conduct for allegedly staging a
- 34:31Speaker 1: racial and homophobic attack against himself two months ago and
- 34:34Speaker 1: then falsely reporting it to the authorities. However, the Empire
- 34:37Speaker 1: actor insisted he never ever lied. I've been truthful and
- 34:40Speaker 1: consistent on every single level since day one. I would
- 34:43Speaker 1: not be my mother's son if I was capable of
- 34:46Speaker 1: one drop of what I've been accused of. I am
- 34:48Speaker 1: a man of faith, and I'm a man that has
- 34:50Speaker 1: knowledge of my history, and I would not bring my family,
- 34:53Speaker 1: our lives, or the movement through a fire like this.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I just wouldn't. So I want to thank my legal
- 34:57Speaker 1: counsel from the bottom of my heart, and I would
- 35:00Speaker 1: also like to thank the State of Illinois for attempting
- 35:03Speaker 1: to do what's right. However, the Chicago Police Chief doesn't
- 35:06Speaker 1: agree with that assessment, and neither does the mayor rom
- 35:09Speaker 1: Emmanuel Men and women who will come forward and one
- 35:11Speaker 1: day would say they were a victim of a hate crime,
- 35:13Speaker 1: who now will be doubted. People of faith, Muslim or
- 35:16Speaker 1: any other religious faith, who will be a victim of
- 35:18Speaker 1: hate crimes. People of all walks of life and backgrounds,
- 35:22Speaker 1: raise ethnicity, sexual orientation. Now this casts a shadow of
- 35:26Speaker 1: whether they're telling the truth. And he did this all
- 35:28Speaker 1: in the name of self promotion. All prosecutors say they
- 35:31Speaker 1: believe small It did file a false report, but decided
- 35:33Speaker 1: to drop the case anyway. The House Judiciary Committee has
- 35:37Speaker 1: approved a bipartisan resolution that would direct the US Justice
- 35:40Speaker 1: Department to provide the FBI records on an investigation against
- 35:43Speaker 1: President Trump, and the measures expected to go to the
- 35:46Speaker 1: full House for consideration. Legislators are after agents records related
- 35:50Speaker 1: to any obstruction of justice or counterintelligence probes against Trump,
- 35:54Speaker 1: and both parties want to see it, but for different reasons.
- 35:56Speaker 1: The Democrats want to look into any alleged obstruction of
- 35:59Speaker 1: justice by Trump, Republicans are looking for evidence of anti
- 36:02Speaker 1: Trump bias. The National Emergency Declaration that the presidents using
- 36:06Speaker 1: to gain access to the billions he wants for his promise.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Board of Wall now remaining an effect until he removes it. Basically,
- 36:12Speaker 1: House Democrats were unable to muster the votes needed to
- 36:15Speaker 1: override Trump's veto, falling thirty eight votes shorter that required
- 36:19Speaker 1: two thirds majority. Earlier this month, Trump vetoed a Congressional
- 36:22Speaker 1: resolution that would have blocked the measure. The National Emergency
- 36:25Speaker 1: Declaration allows the president to shift billions in federal moneies
- 36:29Speaker 1: to the erection of his campaign promised board of Wall.
- 36:31Speaker 1: But not everything's over. Not everything's over. There are still
- 36:33Speaker 1: some lawsuits related to the issue that must be resolved.
- 36:37Speaker 1: So called bump stocks now officially banned in all fifty states.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Bump stocks are the attachments that enable semi automatic rifles
- 36:44Speaker 1: to fire scores of bullets with only one squeeze to
- 36:47Speaker 1: the trigger like an automatic weapon. So the owners of
- 36:50Speaker 1: suited up attachments were given ninety days to either turn
- 36:53Speaker 1: them in or destroy them. That ninety eight periods over
- 36:56Speaker 1: calls to ban bump stocks swelled after a gum and
- 36:58Speaker 1: used and killed a shifting people, with one attending an
- 37:01Speaker 1: open air country music concert in Las Vegas. Finally, just so,
- 37:05Speaker 1: as you know, on this day in nineteen eighty eight,
- 37:06Speaker 1: the drug viagra was invented. Just thought you'd like to
- 37:10Speaker 1: know that. Now back to Rita Hobby morning show you're
- 37:14Speaker 1: listening to show, all criminal charges against Empire actor Jesse
- 37:20Speaker 1: Smallett have been dropped and his record has been wiped clean.
- 37:24Speaker 1: A judge also granted a motion to seal his case.
- 37:27Speaker 1: The prosecution agreed to drop the charges as long as
- 37:31Speaker 1: Jesse agrees to perform community service and give up his
- 37:34Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars bond. Smalltt has insisted he is in
- 37:39Speaker 1: ascent take a listen. First of all, I want to
- 37:41Speaker 1: thank my family, my friends, the incredible people of Chicago
- 37:46Speaker 1: and all over the country, in the world who have
- 37:47Speaker 1: prayed for me, who have supported me, who have shown
- 37:50Speaker 1: me so much love. No one will ever know how
- 37:52Speaker 1: much that has meant to me, and I will forever
- 37:55Speaker 1: be grateful. I want you to know that, not for
- 37:58Speaker 1: a moment was it in vain. I've been truthful and
- 38:01Speaker 1: consistent on every single level since day one. I would
- 38:04Speaker 1: not be my mother's son if I was capable of
- 38:07Speaker 1: one drop of what I was accused of. This has
- 38:09Speaker 1: been an incredibly difficult time, honestly one of the worst
- 38:12Speaker 1: of my entire life. But I am a man of
- 38:15Speaker 1: faith and I'm a man that has knowledge of my history,
- 38:17Speaker 1: and I would not bring my family, our lives, or
- 38:20Speaker 1: the movement through a fire like this. I just wouldn't.
- 38:23Speaker 1: So I want to thank my legal counsel from the
- 38:25Speaker 1: bottom of my heart, and I would also like to
- 38:28Speaker 1: thank the State of Illinois for attempting to do what's
- 38:31Speaker 1: right now. I'd like nothing more than to just get
- 38:34Speaker 1: back to work and move on with my life, but
- 38:37Speaker 1: make no mistakes, I will always continue to fight for
- 38:39Speaker 1: the justice, equality and betterment of marginalized people everywhere. Well.
- 38:44Speaker 1: The mayor romy Minuel is calling the decision to drop
- 38:47Speaker 1: the charges against Smallett a whitewash of justice, and Chicago
- 38:50Speaker 1: PDE Superintendent Eddie Johnson said, the City of Chicago is
- 38:53Speaker 1: that what an apology. Take a listen on financial costs.
- 38:57Speaker 1: There's ten thousand dollars doesn't even come close to what this.
- 39:00Speaker 1: He's spent in resources to actually look over the camera,
- 39:04Speaker 1: gather all the data, god all information that actually brought
- 39:08Speaker 1: the indictment by the grand jury many many, multiple different charges.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Second is what I would call the ethical costs. This
- 39:14Speaker 1: is a whitewash of justice. Wow, So that's what feels
- 39:21Speaker 1: that was the mayor talking. You know, like I said earlier,
- 39:27Speaker 1: I'm not really sure that he has the right to
- 39:29Speaker 1: say this is a whitewash of justice. When so many
- 39:35Speaker 1: black men get shot down, unarmed, not doing anything by
- 39:42Speaker 1: police officers around this country, and when the police officers
- 39:45Speaker 1: go free, that ain't called the whitewashing justice. Maybe I
- 39:48Speaker 1: don't know what whitewasher justice mean. I do know what
- 39:51Speaker 1: justice means. Justice is when you get what you deserve,
- 39:54Speaker 1: and I don't see enough police officers getting what they
- 39:57Speaker 1: deserve when they kill these black people out there. So
- 40:00Speaker 1: Jesse Smollett didn't hurt a soul. It cost y'all some
- 40:05Speaker 1: money probably, But you gotta wonder why did the prosecute
- 40:08Speaker 1: a drop the charges. You know, yeah, I mean they
- 40:12Speaker 1: saying he got to do community service in four fitt
- 40:14Speaker 1: to ten thousand dollars. You know, I told her I'd
- 40:19Speaker 1: to pleat it down to that fine. You didn't even
- 40:22Speaker 1: have community service and probation. But he don't get probation
- 40:26Speaker 1: and his record get white. Well, coming up at thirty
- 40:30Speaker 1: four after the hour, when we come back, I will
- 40:33Speaker 1: talk more about Jesse and why the charges were dropped.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to First Assistant to the
- 40:41Speaker 1: Cook County State Attorney Joseph Maggots, who replaced Kim Fox
- 40:45Speaker 1: by the way, when she recused herself from the case,
- 40:48Speaker 1: says they dropped the charges because Jesse Smollett doesn't have
- 40:52Speaker 1: a violent criminal history and lying about the alleged attack
- 40:56Speaker 1: was not a violent crime. I repeat, it was not
- 41:00Speaker 1: a violent crime. Take a list. Do you believe there
- 41:04Speaker 1: was a racial homophobic attack on Jesse Smalllett. We stand
- 41:09Speaker 1: behind the investigation in the facts that it revealed. What
- 41:13Speaker 1: is semmy It means that we believe he did what
- 41:17Speaker 1: he was charged with doing. So you believe that he
- 41:22Speaker 1: lied on the police report. Yes, this was not an exoneration.
- 41:26Speaker 1: To say that he was exonerated by us or anyone
- 41:29Speaker 1: else is not true. M there you go, yeah, so yeah,
- 41:36Speaker 1: and this is according to TMZ. Now Jesse Smallllett as
- 41:39Speaker 1: already we were talking about the community service and all
- 41:42Speaker 1: of that. Jesse Smalllett is already logged in a total
- 41:45Speaker 1: of eighteen hours of community service. He went to Jesse
- 41:48Speaker 1: Jackson's Rainbow Push Coalition this past Saturday and then Monday
- 41:53Speaker 1: at the Black Aids Institute. I wrote a letter in
- 41:55Speaker 1: support of of Jesse. Well, then, I mean, you know
- 42:01Speaker 1: it is that seems like I'm not really knowing. I'm
- 42:05Speaker 1: just asking. It seems like to me, because nobody's being
- 42:09Speaker 1: crystal clear about what happened, that was some type of
- 42:12Speaker 1: plea cut, some type of plea deal was made. Well
- 42:20Speaker 1: before you you need to do well if you do
- 42:23Speaker 1: community service and you got to pay the ten thousand dollars,
- 42:27Speaker 1: but you get your record erased. I'm not I'm not
- 42:31Speaker 1: knowing that. I'm just saying it sounds like something was cut,
- 42:36Speaker 1: some type of deal was cut behind they were satisfied. Well,
- 42:43Speaker 1: listen to me. I mean, I'm not saying. Look, I
- 42:47Speaker 1: don't I'm happy that the young man is off. I
- 42:51Speaker 1: really am, because he didn't hurt nobody. I didn't want
- 42:55Speaker 1: to go to jail time don't make no sense. So
- 42:58Speaker 1: we got way bigger problems this. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:02Speaker 1: you're going up to the White House. Yeah. When he
- 43:06Speaker 1: do get home with his family though, and they shut
- 43:09Speaker 1: that dough, it's all gonna it's all gonna hit the fans.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Don't you do that, No Mo, whatever you did, don't
- 43:16Speaker 1: do it again. Well, don't buy no Mo damn sandwiches.
- 43:21Speaker 1: At all. We mean this just we flew all the
- 43:25Speaker 1: ways Chicago five times for it. Oh look you got
- 43:30Speaker 1: mama crame by tended too much that your head down Someway.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Also Fox Entertainment, of course, that's the home network to
- 43:45Speaker 1: Jesse's show, Empire Up. They said in a statement that
- 43:48Speaker 1: Jesse small Att has always maintained his innocence and we
- 43:52Speaker 1: are gratified on his behalf that all charges against him
- 43:56Speaker 1: have been dismissed. So there you go. So I guess
- 43:59Speaker 1: that means, yeah, he'll be back on Empire. Yeah. But
- 44:02Speaker 1: if you didn't do nothing, do you you don't you
- 44:05Speaker 1: don't you get your money bang right from your bond.
- 44:08Speaker 1: If you didn't do nothing, did you just suck your chasty?
- 44:12Speaker 1: That always means something. Yeah, it could have been a
- 44:16Speaker 1: part of the deal. You know, you put up ten
- 44:19Speaker 1: thousand dollars bomb, but we did go through this process
- 44:22Speaker 1: all these hours, so we're gonna keep to ten thousand.
- 44:26Speaker 1: I don't know if he volunteered for some community service
- 44:29Speaker 1: or they had him do some community service. Well that
- 44:32Speaker 1: was some mode to it too, and all the charges
- 44:36Speaker 1: is dropped. There was sixteen charges, but they were off
- 44:40Speaker 1: for disorderly counting. You know what I say, We move on,
- 44:44Speaker 1: charges drop, move on, like you said. But but like
- 44:48Speaker 1: you said, see, I know right, there's so much other
- 44:51Speaker 1: stuff going on in the country, and he didn't hurt anyone.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I'm perfectly perfectly fun said that from the beginning. Yeah, yeah, okay, um, listen.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Coming up next is the nephew with his prank phone call,
- 45:09Speaker 1: and that's coming up right after this. I can't wait
- 45:12Speaker 1: for this. It's always gonna be something ignorant prank phone
- 45:15Speaker 1: call right after this you're listening to show coming up
- 45:20Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 45:23Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today, subject married and celibate.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Don't don't go to gil. But right now it is
- 45:31Speaker 1: a nephew here with today's prank phone call. What you got,
- 45:35Speaker 1: neph What you got? Oh? You know, I'm always creating
- 45:38Speaker 1: some type of business, Shirley. This right here is mobile
- 45:42Speaker 1: baptismal poo, Mobile baptized mapool. I slide by the inn
- 45:48Speaker 1: the morning, going on baptize. You're going on the work,
- 45:51Speaker 1: and I gone on to my next customer. You don't
- 45:53Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. Mobile Baptiste Mapool let's hid it. Hello. Hello,
- 46:00Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a mister Wilson's how you doing.
- 46:04Speaker 1: My name is brother spring Water Man. Listen, we uh
- 46:07Speaker 1: we we got paid to actually come by and do
- 46:10Speaker 1: some services to for for you by some friends of yours,
- 46:15Speaker 1: and we wanted to actually call and see about scheduling
- 46:17Speaker 1: and see what you had available services. Well, y'all plan
- 46:21Speaker 1: on cussin grad which I do. What kind of services
- 46:24Speaker 1: you have? Actually, sir, you've got some friends that have
- 46:28Speaker 1: actually spent a great amount of money on you. And
- 46:30Speaker 1: what we do is um we have a Baptismal Own
- 46:34Speaker 1: Wheels Servey, and what we do is we go and
- 46:37Speaker 1: we uh we baptize people at their home. And Baptismal
- 46:42Speaker 1: Wheels has been it's a new um company, but we've
- 46:45Speaker 1: we've baptized over a thousand people. Now we have a
- 46:49Speaker 1: truck with it which actually has a baptismal pool on
- 46:51Speaker 1: the back of it, and we actually come to your
- 46:54Speaker 1: home and we will baptize you in your driveway and
- 46:59Speaker 1: and make you hold again. So we've hostess brother Water,
- 47:03Speaker 1: Brother mcain, I'm sorry, I ain't frewater Freenwater. What you
- 47:07Speaker 1: want to come to my house? And give me a
- 47:09Speaker 1: baptism in my front yard. We want to baptize you
- 47:12Speaker 1: right there in your drive where your friends are paid
- 47:14Speaker 1: for the services. And my friend, what a friend will
- 47:17Speaker 1: pay for me to get baptized. Man, I've been baptized,
- 47:19Speaker 1: are already, doc. Well from my understanding, sir that but
- 47:22Speaker 1: then that you you've had some some bumps and bruises
- 47:25Speaker 1: and and and they seem to uh to believe that
- 47:28Speaker 1: you need to be Washington coming again. I mean, that's
- 47:30Speaker 1: all good, that's all. That's all. It's all good. But
- 47:33Speaker 1: I mean things are I mean think that matter that
- 47:35Speaker 1: it made? Man, I mean I've been baptized, I go
- 47:38Speaker 1: to church. You know, Uh, me and the Lord don't
- 47:40Speaker 1: have no problems. I mean we all have setbacks. But
- 47:43Speaker 1: for you to pull up with your pool in front
- 47:45Speaker 1: of my house to say you've been a baptize me,
- 47:48Speaker 1: that that doesn't make any sense to me. Doc, I
- 47:50Speaker 1: mean six seeds, sir. Sometimes when some people are not
- 47:52Speaker 1: able to go to the House of the Lord and
- 47:54Speaker 1: get baptized, you know, we're making a lot more convenient
- 47:58Speaker 1: for you. But we can actual need no convenience. I
- 48:01Speaker 1: don't need no convenience. What I need convenience for you
- 48:05Speaker 1: asking me to come to my house on a Tuesday,
- 48:09Speaker 1: So that's tied me in my driveway? Does that make
- 48:13Speaker 1: any sense to you? Brother water? I mean, come on,
- 48:15Speaker 1: if you really sit back and think about it, does
- 48:17Speaker 1: that make any sense to you? Further? First of all,
- 48:21Speaker 1: so that that that that's brother spring water. But what
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to what I'm trying to see the water
- 48:27Speaker 1: is holy water spring water. It doesn't make no difference
- 48:30Speaker 1: to me. You can't come to my neighborhood and baptize
- 48:34Speaker 1: me in front of my home. So what is all that?
- 48:37Speaker 1: This is? This is what your friends are talking about
- 48:40Speaker 1: that don't give the day? Was my prayers are telling
- 48:42Speaker 1: you man that anybody which which one of my prayers
- 48:45Speaker 1: don't recommend you to come to my damn house. So
- 48:47Speaker 1: I'm and I don't let me that you don't even
- 48:52Speaker 1: make any sense to me. You understand that I'm not
- 48:54Speaker 1: I'm not at any liberty to tell you who actually
- 48:56Speaker 1: is uh because of my dam house that baptizing me,
- 49:00Speaker 1: But you can't tell me who the hell I gonna
- 49:03Speaker 1: see you? But you're not there? May come all, you
- 49:05Speaker 1: don't even come on? That that makes it for you. God,
- 49:08Speaker 1: Come on, that doesn't make any no way in the world.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna allow you to come and bring your phone
- 49:12Speaker 1: in front of my house and baptize me. Then I'm
- 49:15Speaker 1: asking you ask as you you supposed to be a pastor,
- 49:18Speaker 1: you supposed to be baptized, and I'm asking you, Okay,
- 49:20Speaker 1: what's a friend of mine is sending you to you know,
- 49:23Speaker 1: letting you know I need to be done. How you'll
- 49:24Speaker 1: tell you how that liberty? Sir? All I want to know. Basically,
- 49:28Speaker 1: I've already been paid. I'm coming. I'm baptizing me. Then
- 49:35Speaker 1: back time, I'm going to baptize you on Tuesday in
- 49:38Speaker 1: your driveway. Man, I tell you was did you come
- 49:41Speaker 1: to my house in front of my driveway? You better
- 49:43Speaker 1: bring the old congregation. You understand, you better bringing the deacons,
- 49:47Speaker 1: the brothers, the sisters, and they have my head. Did
- 49:50Speaker 1: you think how many you got ties? This is the problem.
- 49:52Speaker 1: This is what your friends are talking about. This is
- 49:54Speaker 1: why you need to be baptized and cleans it again
- 49:57Speaker 1: and washed in the blood of the lamp. This is
- 49:59Speaker 1: what's wrong. You need to be cleansed. That's what's wrong
- 50:02Speaker 1: with you, mister Wilton. What's wrong with me. Now, what's
- 50:05Speaker 1: wrong with two is calmly in the middle my horse
- 50:06Speaker 1: to day telling me I need to be back tip
- 50:08Speaker 1: in front of my house. If I need to be backtip,
- 50:10Speaker 1: don't get some only water, I go down to the church.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I don't need you come in front of my house
- 50:15Speaker 1: making old ertas we aren't you afraid of some white
- 50:18Speaker 1: sheets talking about to the backsifle from understanding, from my understanding,
- 50:23Speaker 1: From my understanding, mister Wilson, you missed two Sundays already
- 50:27Speaker 1: this month, Sundays. So man, I can't go anywhere and
- 50:30Speaker 1: get the water. I don't need you coming here because
- 50:32Speaker 1: you tell him I miss two damn Sundays. I'm gonna
- 50:34Speaker 1: miss that Sunday two, sir. All I know is I've
- 50:37Speaker 1: been paid to do a job. I will be there
- 50:39Speaker 1: Tuesday morning at seven o'clock and we will baptize you
- 50:42Speaker 1: before you go to work on two. Before you would
- 50:45Speaker 1: I tell you what you curting like a seven o'clock
- 50:47Speaker 1: in morning. I swear on your lord, I'm gonna bust you.
- 50:51Speaker 1: You understand me, you would not courting my house telling
- 50:55Speaker 1: me you would have backtipe. Now, I don't give a
- 50:56Speaker 1: damn who paid you you understand I was drying your
- 51:00Speaker 1: in a ward matters, bringing you your teachers, everybody. We're
- 51:04Speaker 1: gonna wool caught you. That you understand. I'm all of
- 51:08Speaker 1: this anger and all of this, these problems you have
- 51:12Speaker 1: within you. We are going to burge your body and
- 51:14Speaker 1: get it out your system. I don't want your tas.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I tell you what. I tell you what brother, swing water,
- 51:20Speaker 1: bring water. You're gonna get baptized. So thusday morning, I

- 52:22Speaker 1: Who the hell goes around bapties of people as like

- 54:42Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna
- 54:45Speaker 1: read this one right here, right now. Buckle up, hold
- 54:49Speaker 1: on tight here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject married
- 54:53Speaker 1: and celibate. Dear Stephen Shirley. For the past twenty three years,
- 55:00Speaker 1: been married to the nicest guy in the world, and
- 55:02Speaker 1: I have always tried to be the perfect wife and mother.
- 55:06Speaker 1: In the beginning of our marriage, our sex life was perfect,
- 55:10Speaker 1: but over the past seven years things have drastically changed.
- 55:14Speaker 1: In twenty eighteen, we had sex maybe eight times in
- 55:19Speaker 1: the whole year. I counted them. I don't think he's
- 55:23Speaker 1: cheating because all he does is go to work and
- 55:27Speaker 1: come home. If he goes out, we go out as
- 55:30Speaker 1: a family. I just don't think that he is that
- 55:33Speaker 1: he's interested in sex at all. He is completely complacent
- 55:37Speaker 1: and I've stopped initiating sex because I get tired of
- 55:40Speaker 1: him telling me to move all the time. Move, he
- 55:45Speaker 1: comes to be yes, he comes to bed to watch TV,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and that's how he falls asleep each night. When I
- 55:52Speaker 1: told him that I need sex regularly, he told me
- 55:55Speaker 1: that sex should not be everything in a marriage. That
- 55:58Speaker 1: shocked me and her me to the core because I'm
- 56:01Speaker 1: only forty five years old and sex is everything to me.
- 56:06Speaker 1: It made me feel inadequate and if he's tired of me,
- 56:09Speaker 1: And as if he's tired of me, how does he
- 56:12Speaker 1: expect to just stop having sex with his wife and
- 56:15Speaker 1: it will be okay? And nothing has changed with me
- 56:18Speaker 1: physically with me, I am the same size I was
- 56:22Speaker 1: when we got married, and I have aged well. I
- 56:25Speaker 1: confide it in my older sisters about my embarrassing little
- 56:28Speaker 1: secret because I needed to know if this is normal
- 56:31Speaker 1: behavior in a marriage. They told me that it's not normal,
- 56:34Speaker 1: and they think my husband is lame and needs to
- 56:37Speaker 1: step up as a man. On the outside, our marriage
- 56:41Speaker 1: looks so perfect, but on the inside, I'm constantly craving
- 56:45Speaker 1: intimacy and sneaking around to have special times by myself
- 56:50Speaker 1: to fulfill my needs. I can't live the rest of
- 56:54Speaker 1: my life in a sexless marriage. How can I get
- 56:57Speaker 1: my husband to see that this is a problem and
- 57:00Speaker 1: we need help. Please advise. Well, you're right, this is
- 57:05Speaker 1: a problem. This is an epic problem. You cannot live
- 57:10Speaker 1: the rest of your life in a sexless marriage, and
- 57:13Speaker 1: you shouldn't be expected to. I mean, you've been married
- 57:15Speaker 1: to this man for twenty three years. You said in
- 57:18Speaker 1: the beginning the sex life was perfect, but over the
- 57:21Speaker 1: past seven years it hasn't been. You can count them
- 57:25Speaker 1: on your both hands how many times you've had it.
- 57:28Speaker 1: That's a long time to go, you know, without sex
- 57:32Speaker 1: on the regular. I'm not a man, obviously, I don't
- 57:35Speaker 1: know exactly what's going on in your husband's head, but
- 57:38Speaker 1: usually sex is the thing that healthy, red blooded American
- 57:43Speaker 1: men think about the most. I mean that's what I've heard. Guys. Yes, guys, Okay, yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 1: thank you. And although you didn't, this letter makes you
- 57:56Speaker 1: think about it. Although you didn't say, um, wifie, but um,
- 58:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it. I say your husband may have ed.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I mean, he just might have that. It rectiles his
- 58:07Speaker 1: function and he probably needs to see a doctor. I mean,
- 58:11Speaker 1: I think you need to look into that immediately. I'm definitely,
- 58:15Speaker 1: definitely glad to hear that you haven't changed physically. You
- 58:18Speaker 1: said that in the letter, and please do not blame yourself.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You guys are both in the marriage. This is an
- 58:24Speaker 1: US problem. This is a wee problem. You need to
- 58:28Speaker 1: go to a doctor and find out what's what's the problem.
- 58:31Speaker 1: You need to I know, I know, I said, we
- 58:33Speaker 1: I know. Anyway, that's what I think, Steve. Wow, Oh lord, Okay,
- 58:44Speaker 1: twenty three years you've been married. Nice guy, try to
- 58:48Speaker 1: be the perfect wife. You had the marriage, sex life perfect.
- 58:53Speaker 1: But the past seven years things has happened drastically. In
- 58:58Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, we have sexy eight times a whole year.
- 59:01Speaker 1: That ain't good when they know the number, fellas, that
- 59:05Speaker 1: is not good when she knows the number eight times
- 59:09Speaker 1: last year we had moved sixton that. No, he didn't
- 59:14Speaker 1: eight damn time. She don't think he's cheating because he
- 59:20Speaker 1: worked all the time and he comes straight home. I
- 59:24Speaker 1: don't think that he's interested in sex at all. He
- 59:26Speaker 1: is completely complacent, and I've stopped initiating sex because I
- 59:30Speaker 1: get tired of mood telling me to move all the time. Well,
- 59:37Speaker 1: that's that's crazy, Steve. Could be another problem. I think
- 59:42Speaker 1: he got ed that's what I think he got. And
- 59:48Speaker 1: I think he's messing old boiled and so he comes
- 59:54Speaker 1: to bed watch TV and how he and that's how
- 59:56Speaker 1: he falls asleep. When I told him I kneed sex regularly,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he told me to the section not be everything in
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the marriage. Well, where do it fit with you? Though? Yeah?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: If sex ain't everything in the marriage, where should it be?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Y'all just want the piano in a sandbox? What y'all want?
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Slid as a seesaw and a drum set? Make up
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: your mind, partner, Let me go back over this, y'all.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: The past seven years day sex was good, but some
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: stuff happened. In twenty eighteen we had sex maybe eight
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: times the whole year. Like I said, once they know
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: a number, you in trouble. She says, she don't think
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: he's interested in sex at all. He's completely complacent, and
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I've started initiating sexually. I got moved, girl, gone, girl gone,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: what you're doing? Nah? Not now? Stop? Hutch and me,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: damn you wear so when you hear that? When when
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I told him when I need sex regularly, he told
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: me the section not be everything in the marriage. That's
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the hell of a statement. That shocked me. It shocked
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: me too, ma'am. I'm reading the letter, damn, and I'm shocked.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Section not be everything in the mann? Well, what is
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: in that fault? Then I need all of mine? And
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: now I know that shocked me and it hurt me
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: to the core because I'm only forty five and sex
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: is everything to me makes me feel inadequate. And if
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he's and as if he's tired of me, I think
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: that might be it, though I think that's got a
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: lot to do it. I think after seven years people
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: get a little comfortable with each other, and that's why
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: we have the seven year itches to syndrome that happens
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to people at the seven year mark, they start start
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: want to scratch that itch. Is he cheating? Do you think?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: She says she doesn't think he is. But we can
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: get into that when we come back with part two
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: of your response to Today's Strawberry Letters, subject married and Celibate.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty three after the hour right
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: after this you're listening show, All right, Steve, let's recap
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. Married and celibate. Yeah, she's both married,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: but daily has six eight times in two thousand last year, Yeah,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: she wants him to do more now well, yeah, this
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: is a new year. Yeah, Steve, She said she doesn't
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: think he's cheating. Do you think he's cheating? She said,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: all he does is go to work and come home,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and if they do go out, they go out as
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: a family. Well, I don't think he's cheating. I think
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: he might have ed. Oh I think he tired of
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: And she says, how does he expect it to just
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: be okay? To stop having sex with his wife? And
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: it'd be okay. Nothing has changed with me physically. I'm
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: the same as I wore, the same size I was
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: when we got married. Ain't nobody the same size? Damn?
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Sorry nobody? Uh Steve, Huh, she said it, she's the
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: same size. She lyes. Sure he's telling the truth about
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: everything else, but just that she's lying. She gained no way.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: She said, she's the same size. Everybody looking at mirror
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and think they to say everybody that same size I
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: was in high school. But everything else she's telling the truth,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: but just this one line she's lying. Well, she's lying
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: a couple of times in the letter. Where else they
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: told me that it's not normal and they think my
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: husband is lame. I confided in my older sisters about
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: my embarrassing little secret because I needed to know if
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: this was normal behavior. And man, they told me that
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: it's not normal, and they think my husband is lame
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: and needs to step up as a man. On the
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: outside of our marriage looks so perfect, but on the inside,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I'm constantly craving intimacy, sneaking around to have special times
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: by myself to fulfill my needs. So she going somewhere
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: by herself to fulfill her needs. And once you tell
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: it to that to him here, cracker, right now, that's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: what it is. Okay, I'm still stuck on I'm the
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: same size as I was when we got married, and
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: I have aged. Well, we need to bring in some evidence,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: whateverdence can she provide? Yeah, like a picture? She send
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: a picture addressing here. Although I'm taking her at her word,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you gotta make some evidence in front of me. Your shoot,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the evidence is in the letter. Everything else you believe
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that she said in the letter, and just this one
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: line on the same size I was when we got
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: married and I have aged, Well, what you want this age? Well? Yeah,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: like let's see your shoe from like two thousand and sixteen.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Then your shoot from two thousand nineteen. We are not
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: blaming shooting. Your foot got water in three years. If
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: your foot didn't got water, there's more weight. What is
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: she gonna do about her husband that's not interested in
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: having sex with her anymore? And his eed that's the problem. Yeah,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I do too. That well, we're all in agreement on it.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I think so too. So when that happens, Steve, why
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: why won't he go to the doctor? I mean, or
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: and get some bills? Right? Working? Men? You guys are
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: many three men? Is working? Okay? But what about your
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: fellow man? Oh, I ain't never asked my homeboy? Dog,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you ain't. I can't pay that conversation up? Men? How
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that comes? Don't have it? You all don't? What nah?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: But Jim, I'm dysfunctioning? What okay? When it started? We
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: don't who? You all are so infantile and juvenile? They
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: are so I mean, But what advice would you give
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: someone though? That's the issue? Another man, What would you
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: say to him if you know, if you suspect he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: has ed? I mean, would you tell him to go
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: to the doctor and get some bills? Or what? What's up? Dog? Huh,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: ain't nothing up. Let me okay, So y'all conversation where
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: y'all boys, and you'd be like, yo, man, my old
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: lady tripping. You know, she didn't want to get busy
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: all the time. I ain't got the strength of the energy.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Y'all don't have them kind of man. Do you know
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: that Joseph is about to fire off and this cart man?
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: What you ain't ready for that one? Because the manto
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: your ego, let you admit that. They just won't let
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you admit that to another man. But if I find
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: out somebody going down there, bring me a couple of
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: them peeled back dog, Just let let your boy hold
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: some of them. If you're going down there to the doctor.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Huh yeah, yeah, I want to couple. You want what dog?
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: If you're going down there, telling me seeing you two
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: of them yellow peals and get me to them? What
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: a yellow pill? How do you know what color they are? Oh?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: You know what, I ain't got nothing to do this.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Let them go on. Man, you knew what color was? You? Red?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: And a great white show colors? So so okay, so
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: we have something here. She needs to tell her husband
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: to go to the doctor and get some yellow pills.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: According to Tommy then Mill Graham. You know the strength

- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Rosie was quick, however, to clarify that her crush manifested
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: itself into a mentor role. It wasn't in any sort
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: of my romantic type of way. You know, she didn't
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: hit on her anything. Yeah, so this is what we

- 1:14:32Speaker 1: doing that? Ain't sexy? Everybody so here but here we
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: all the same. But what was she saying? She wouldn't
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: say nothing At first. I just wore it down. I
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: just wore it down, just kept that pressure on. Love you,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I love you. That's it. That's all you would say, Yeah,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: that's all. What's Ain't that a lot? I mean, yeah,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I love the workplace. Yeah, yeah, you know. I want
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: to tell I love you today till finally she just said,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: why are you always telling me that you love me?
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I said, because I do. I said, you can't tell
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: me how to feel. You know, you get arrested for
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: that night. I want to know people. Oh hell, you
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: go straight to jail. Yeah. Did you ever get with her? Though? Yes,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I love If you lead long enough, Julius, I was

- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I love Hey, your voice is so different. Hey, you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. A male
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: contraceptive pill, guys, closer to reality than we think? And
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: how long does it take for a couple to label
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: their relationship? We'll talk about it right after this. You
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you're listening to a male contraceptive pill. Guys, maybe one
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: step closer to reality? How about this is according to
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: US researchers. They say their experimental pill appears to be
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: safe while reducing levels of hormones key to sperm production. UH.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: Scientists say our results suggest that this pill, which combines
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: two hormonal activities in one, will decrease sperm production while
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: preserving libido. UH. Doctor Christine Christina Wang is a co
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: senior investigator of the study. She's professor of medicine at
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Los Angeles BioMed Research Institute. Researchers also said that safe,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: that's what it's going to be called. Safe reversible hormonal
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: male contraceptive should be available in about ten years. So
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I gotta ask yeah, ten years, they gotta dor research. Okay,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: we need yeah something I'm gonna be in the research part.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: I need these. That's what I was gonna ask you.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: If you were younger, would you take the pill? No,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I'm taking as soon as they come out of They've
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: been saying things about me. I'm getting called names. What
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: do you mean you're talking about? Well, you know what

- 1:19:54Speaker 1: You got to watch that thing. Excuse me, I'm not
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: trying to get into your business, but I do want
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: to say that you are a young man. What's happening?
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Oh no, no, not Just like I said, I do
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: a lot of researchers, you know. I try to hemp
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: people's scary expensive time. You're even younger. What do you
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: want to know for it? Depending on your deductor, But junior,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: you get it at the beginning of the year. Yeah,

- 1:20:39Speaker 1: fool with him in January because it's not covering yet.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: It ain't covering yet. Man, we ain't went to the doctor.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: And no, you got to wait. I told no, women
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: gonna be about eight dollars. And that's what you heard.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: That's what That's what I'm here, that's what that's what's
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: on the street. Stay about here. I ain't quite feeling
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: all that hot. Just trying to right now. You're a genius. No,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: that's it. I just want wow, that's when you look
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: inside somebody medicinebody, Wow, this stuff broke up. Why are
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: your medicine? But I don't touch that. You're messing up stuff.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Ain't nothing broke up. That's deliberate. Lead that alone. So
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: don't take it full strength. That's your advice. Not that
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: blue one. No, no, no, don't do it. But that
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: Viagra extra strength. You don't need an extra strength, Yeah
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: you don't. I don't believe in that commercial. They shouldn't
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: make that that viral commercial. Ain'tybody that happened? Oh wow,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: we've learned a lot on the show today. You take
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: that blue one if you want to. You got to
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: get down there to that hospit. But that's not that's
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: not for you, man. You got to cut that thing.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: And you found this out through trial and error. I
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: heard this is just the streets. But you remember that
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: old razor blade, your dad of you that you know
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: that that single one? Oh yeah, oh you're talking about
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: like a scaling knife. Yeah, I think that. I think
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: that's what I mean. It's scaling. Okay, you take that
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and you scaled that blue peel scale it and you
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: heard all of this on the streets. The old man,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: know what they're talking about. But I mean he heard
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: how to cut it in. I didn't cut the blue
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: off the peel. What kind of knife is preforated for
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: late knife? Oh wait, what time I have cut the
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: blue off and forgot what that was. I thought that
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: was Tyler Now boy bad. I thought it was bad
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: and just yea, wow, wow, I found out my wife
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: don't love me like that. I can't be fooling with
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: something you don't love me not like that. It's too
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: much Tommy in the streets. Have you heard about like,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: is there like a generic brand? Oh? Yeah, you don't
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: have to get to the name, especially if your deductible
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: ain't kick, then you don't want to get this. You
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: want the generic. That generic look completely different. But you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: have to write on your bottle what that is because
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: you get my age, you'll forget what's in there. Man.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: You take the long time you think you up in
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: there taking a clarity? Man? Can you get in likal form?
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Time you show you wandered a liquid form? Junior, listen,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: cut that blue off of them, crush that thing up,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: russell water in that body and shake it wrap. Look
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: coming up of the Steve Harvey Morning show right after this,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: so lords you're listening to. All right, So Steve, here's
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: a question for you, since you're the CLO, the chief
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: love officer. All right, how long do you think it
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: takes before couples, you know, have the talk about how
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: to label their relationship? And I'm asking you that because
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: a new study, this is according to a new study, uh,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: it says that it takes on average six weeks to
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: have what you know, what we are talk and to
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: label the relationship. Well, you know, when you have to
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: talk about your relationship and putting labels on where are
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: we going? You know, isn't it kind of what are
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: we doing? You know? What? You should have it? That
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: is at a restaurant? No, no, no, no no, I said,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: you know, like when when and what time in the
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: relationship should we have it? I think ninety days? Okay,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I think for a woman's sake, I think a woman
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: has to get a determination, get some type of idea
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: of where this is going. Okay, when she finds out out,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: just give it up because that's ninety days. Well, you
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: know you don't have to do it, you said, as
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: a guy, a minium mighty, don't mean give it up?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: But you know, um, ninety days, you should have an
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: idea where it's going. You have every right to know
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: and ask a man what it's the head? Okay, another question, Steve,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: how should they bring it up? How should you broach
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: that subject? Final? Damn text messages? That's for you know.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: You know, if a woman is curious about what the
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: relationship is, she got to bring it up. If a
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: man wants to define it, he needs to bring it up.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: But and how should they do? That? Was my original? Hey,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: where we're going? Just right out with it? I said,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: where we're going? What is all this? What we're doing?
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: In that tone? No, but that's the man, because that
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: can't be the woman. Well, hello, wait, surely don't rush
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: pass that. Wait baby, that could be I'm just asking too, though, Steve,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: don't you think that? I don't know for women sometimes
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: they might feel it's kind of awkward or they don't
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: know how to do that to just come right out
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: with it and say, hey, where we going with this relationship?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: What are we? Yeah that you just saying come right
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: on out with it? Well, I mean, you know it's
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: you could try to like round about So can I
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: ask you a question? Yeah? My girlfriends are starting to
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: ask me, what type of relationship is this? What should
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: I say? Okay? You know what should I be saying
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: to people? And let him give you an there, Yeah
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: that's what. That's now, that's what I wanted. Now, yeah,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: how that's what. But that's good, clo, that's good. So
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: wait like ninety days to even bring up the talk
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: and kind of eas into it. You're saying, kind of
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: easingto it, right, ninety days, ladies, you have every right
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: to be able to say, okay, so what do we
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: have especially if ninety days you start passing out that cookie.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: There's no reason for you to pass out the cookie
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: and not understand what it is. Okay, you know, if
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: we if we're in a committed relationship, you should know that.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: I'd want to know that before I passed out the cookie. Yeah, right?
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Is this some monogamous relationship? Are we committed? Are we exclusive?
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: What is it? I need to know? Okay? You know
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: that makes sense, don't it? Oh? Yes, yes, yes? And
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: then you say when you want to bring the subject up,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: you kind of ease into it, you know, just slide
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: it to him, you know what I mean? Hey, look,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: you know we've been dating for a while, and my
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: girlfriends and co workers are starting to ask me what
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: is this we have? So, I mean, how would you
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: like for me to address you, describe you what I'm
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: talking to other people, you know, kind of put it
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: on them a little bit. Yeah, and what and what
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: should the woman say if the man asked her? Or
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: will a man ask her that question? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: of course dues they want to know. And what should
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: the woman say? You know the truth? I mean, you know,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: a guy could say, hey, baby, look, we've been at
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: this for a little while. Are we exclusive or no?
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: And then if it's exclusive, you gotta tell him yes.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: And if it's not, then you just got to say, hey, no,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: it's not really exclusive. I'm seeing some other people. Okay,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: all right, Well than exactly. Thank you, CLO. We'll be
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: after this you're listening. First assistant to the Cook County
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: State Attorney, Joseph Maggots, who replaced Kim Fox by the
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: way when she recused herself from the case, says they
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: drop the charges because Jesse Smallett doesn't have a violent
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: criminal history and lying about the alleged attack was not
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: a violent crime. I repeat, it was not a violent crime.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Take a list. Do you believe there was a racial
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: homophobic attack on Jesse Smalllett. We stand behind the investigation
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: in the facts that it revealed. What does that mean.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: It means that we believe he did what he was
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: charged with doing. So you believe that he lied on
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: the police report. Yes, this was not an exoneration. To
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: say that he was exonerated by us or anyone else
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: is not true. There you go. Yeah, so yeah, and
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: this is according to TMZ. Now Jesse Smallett as already
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: we were talking about the community service and all of that.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Jesse Smalllett is already logged in a total of eighteen
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: hours of community service. He went to Jesse Jackson's Rainbow
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Push coalition this past Saturday and then Monday at the
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Black Aids Institute. I wrote a letter in support of
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: justice of Jesse. Well, you know what I mean, You
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: know it is that seems like I'm not really knowing,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I'm just asking. It seems like to me, because nobody's
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: being crystal clear about what happened, that was some type
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: of plea cut, some type of plea deal was made. Well, yeah,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: technically before you you need to do well if you
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: do community service and you got to pay the ten
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: thousand dollars, but you get your record erased. I'm not
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: I'm not knowing that. I'm just saying it sounds like
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: something was cut, some type of deal was cut behind
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: they were satisfied. Well, listen to me. I mean, I'm
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: not saying. Look, I don't I'm happy that the young
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: man is off. I really am, because he didn't hurt nobody.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: I didn't want me to go to jail time. Don't
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: make no sense. So we got way bigger problems than this.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you're going up to the White House. Yeah.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: When he do get home with his family though, and
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: they shut that dough, it's all gonna it's all gonna
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: hit the fans. Don't you do that no more. Whatever
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: you did, don't do it again. Well, and don't buy
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: no mo damn sandwich at all. We mean this just
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: we flew all ways to Cogo five times for it.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Oh look, you got mama crame by too much that
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: your head down someone also Fox Entertainment, of course, that's
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: the home network to Jesse's show Empire Up. They said
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: in a statement that Jesse small At has always maintained
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: his innocence and we are gratified on his behalf that
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: all charges against him have been dismissed. So there you go.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: So I guess that means, yeah, he'll be back on empire. Yeah.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: But if you didn't do nothing, do you? You don't
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: you don't you get your money bang right on your bond.
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: If you didn't do nothing, did you just suck your tasty?
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: That always means something. Yeah, it could have been a
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: part of the deal. You know, you put up ten
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: thousand dollars bond. But we did go through this process
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: all these hours, so we're gonna keep to ten thousand.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with one more break, our
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: last break of the day, and some closing remarks from
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Steve coming up right after this. You're listening all right?
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: Here we are last break of the day. But Steve,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: now it's time for you to drop some knowledge with
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: our closing remarks. What you got for us today? Yeah? Today,
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: I want to remind everybody of something, uh that gets
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: overlooked from time to time. But if you want to
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: be successful and you want to be happy, if your
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: happiness is sometimes as it often is tied to your success,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: and if your success oftentimes as it is, it's tied
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: to your happiness. The two kind of go hand in
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: hand almost, but now you have to be using your
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: definition of success and not somebody else's. If you're using
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: someone else's definition of success, you're never going to be happy,
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: whether they've aimed too high for you or they've aimed
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: too low for you. If you're using somebody else's aim,
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: you're never going to be happy because those two are,
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, tied together. I'm happy if I'm successful. If
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I'm not successful, I'm not going to be happy because
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna feel like there's something else I could be
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: doing for my family, as something else I could be
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: doing for my future. It's something else I could be
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: doing to make it work. And so my success is
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: tied to my happiness, and my happiness is tied to
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: my success. Now do I take times off from all
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: of it and just sit around and be grateful and
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: happy for where I am? Of course, all the time.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: Gratitude is a huge part of the principles of success,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: as oftentimes to overlook, yeah, I'll often sit around and
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: just smell the roses, just take a breath of fresh
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: air and go mad. I'm awful grateful for where I
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: am God, not meaning that I don't want more, but
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: I oftentimes stop and thank him for right where I am,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: because where we are is pretty good compared to where
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: we were. But now, with all that said, let me
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: share something with you. If you want to be happy
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: and successful, you are going to have to put out
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: of massive effort. Period. Stop thinking it's going to happen
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: any other way. You have got to put out a
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: massive effort. You gotta get at it. You gotta grind,
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: you gotta want it. It's got to burn a little
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: bit on the inside of you. It's gotta make you
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: uncomfortable not being where you want to be. You got
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: to have a I'm gonna get it attitude in order
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: for it to get got. Period. You gotta have a
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it attitude in order for it to
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: get got period. That's the deal. No substitutions, no alternatives.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: This ain't sugar. You can't use splendor instead. This ain't sugar.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: This is life. You have to go get it now.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: All no alternatives, Well, you can pick some alternatives, but
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you're not gonna be happy and successful. You got to
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: get a little bit of dog in you. I'm sorry,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: everybody got to have some dog in you. You gotta
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: have some bite back, you gotta have some fight. You're
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: gonna have to have a little bit of kick. And
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: sometimes the kick has to come from yourself. You can't
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: to quit looking for other people. Always give you that
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: little kick in the red to get you started, that
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: little jump started in the morning, to encourage you. What
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: if they need encourage it. What if they adn't get
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: they jump start for the day and you're waiting on
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: they call and they're encouraging. Word, man, let me tell
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: you something. These are people that you're waiting on to
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: help you. People fail all the time. Every person needs
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: gonna Lord, God Almighty. So that might be one of
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: the mornings where they need him and they don't have
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: nothing for you. Take your faith out of man, put
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: your faith in God and get at it. You and
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: God can make it. That'd be great if you had
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: a friend along the way, of course it would be.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: But sometimes you're in a pattern where you gotta learn
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: that it ain't nobody but you and him. Sometimes sometimes
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you just need to know it ain't nobody but you
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: and God. That really ain't a bad place to be.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: It really ain't. I've got some of my best results
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: out of my life when I just asked God for
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: the help, when I didn't call nobody else to see
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: what they thought about it. When I've went to God,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: just God, I've gotten my best results. I'm just gonna
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: be honest with you. But you got to get added though.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: Squ Quit expecting God to just bless you with something
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: and you ain't giving him nothing to put his finger
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: on the touch. You make one step here, make two.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: You got to be a producer out here. You got
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: to go out of here and get out something. Quit
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: asking God for a job and you ain't putting no
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: applications in. Stop wasting his time and yours too. It's
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: like the story of the man said, you know, I've
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: been praying. I've been praying to God to hit the lottery.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: I've just been praying to the Lord to hit the lottery.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: One day, the man just kept hearing him say that.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: He said, well, do you play the lottery? He said, no,
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: What kind of prayers are You're praying to God to
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: hit the lottery, but you're not playing the lottery. What
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: that don't make no sense. If you want God to
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: touch your life, give him something to touch and effort
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: put in a request. Be sincere. But I decided that
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna attempt so many things that's within my gift
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: and in my realm, that I'm gonna ask God to
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: bless me with his grace. He got something to blast.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: He just keeps all making stuff happen for me. He
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: just keeps on opening doors for me. He just keeps
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: on putting the right people in front of me. All
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: it may look like the deal ain't gonna happen. That's
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: often haims many of them of the day always, But man,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: you got to get a shot. You got to get
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: off your butt and get at it. Ain't nobody prohibited.
