- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it to me true good it together? Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta use that turn you
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing, I shall will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me
- 2:07Speaker 1: now one and older. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:14Speaker 1: partickling me this morning. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:18Speaker 1: feel with nothing but joy and hope about it too.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You know, it's a great thing to be able to
- 2:23Speaker 1: wake up in the morning with peace in your heart
- 2:26Speaker 1: and joy. Peace and joy is is immeasurable. It has
- 2:32Speaker 1: a value attached to it, and I have no idea
- 2:34Speaker 1: what it is. It's invaluable. It is worth so much
- 2:38Speaker 1: more than any amount of money you can make. Peace
- 2:41Speaker 1: and joy. I have not always had that. I have
- 2:46Speaker 1: not always been a peaceful person or a person who
- 2:51Speaker 1: lived his life in a joy spirit. It took an
- 2:55Speaker 1: arrival at this moment. Some people arrive sooner than others.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I wish I had arrived at this point sooner, but
- 3:05Speaker 1: I think it was necessary for me to learn a
- 3:06Speaker 1: few things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned about
- 3:11Speaker 1: life is that instead of reflecting on your past incidences
- 3:18Speaker 1: and calling them failures, instead of focusing on the negative
- 3:22Speaker 1: and calling them bad times, I look at them now
- 3:27Speaker 1: as experiences. I had to have those experiences that were negative,
- 3:32Speaker 1: that were good, positive, wrong, even I had to have
- 3:37Speaker 1: all those experiences to become to shape who we are today.
- 3:45Speaker 1: We all have to have them. If you look back
- 3:47Speaker 1: at all the negative experiences you've had, all the things
- 3:51Speaker 1: that you called failures, all the businesses I started that
- 3:55Speaker 1: went under, all of the jobs I had that I
- 3:58Speaker 1: was fired from, all the shows that were canceled, all
- 4:02Speaker 1: of the times I thought I was gonna get something
- 4:05Speaker 1: happened in my way and turned out I didn't get
- 4:07Speaker 1: it at all. When you look at all of it,
- 4:10Speaker 1: all of it, hopefully along the way, what you have
- 4:14Speaker 1: done as a person is you've taken those negatives and
- 4:18Speaker 1: those failures and you've used them for what they actually are.
- 4:22Speaker 1: They are experiences, and they've now created in you an
- 4:27Speaker 1: experienced person, and you know that is worth something that's
- 4:33Speaker 1: then it becomes a positive. But what too many people
- 4:38Speaker 1: do is they let the negative things that have happened
- 4:41Speaker 1: in their life. They allow the failures that have happened
- 4:44Speaker 1: in them lives never to manifest themselves as experiences. And
- 4:48Speaker 1: you sit up there and you dwell on it, and
- 4:50Speaker 1: you dwell on it until you have this woe is
- 4:53Speaker 1: me attitude. Stop looking at it like that, y'all. You
- 4:57Speaker 1: go through things in order to to become the person
- 5:01Speaker 1: that you are today. I'll tell you who you sometimes
- 5:04Speaker 1: have to sit down and talk to. Sometimes you are
- 5:06Speaker 1: to sit down to an inmate that really gets it,
- 5:09Speaker 1: an inmate that says, man, I've actually heard inmates say
- 5:13Speaker 1: it to me and write to me, and they've said
- 5:16Speaker 1: things like, man coming to prison, save my life. Now,
- 5:20Speaker 1: those of you have never got how can he say
- 5:21Speaker 1: a thing like that? But some men, no, Man, I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was so far out there that if I had stayed
- 5:28Speaker 1: out there, I wouldn't even be here today. This actually
- 5:31Speaker 1: allowed me to stop, spend some time with myself and
- 5:33Speaker 1: learn some things about me. Now does that happen for
- 5:36Speaker 1: everybody like that? Now? But here's a person who was
- 5:40Speaker 1: taking an experience that could be considered a failure or
- 5:43Speaker 1: a negative and turning it into a positive and using
- 5:46Speaker 1: it to enrich their lives. You can do it no
- 5:49Speaker 1: matter what your set of circumstances is. I recommend to
- 5:52Speaker 1: everybody that you try changing your outlook in order to
- 5:56Speaker 1: change your outcome. Everything that happens to you that's negative,
- 6:00Speaker 1: all you consider failure, their experiences. You've got to go
- 6:03Speaker 1: through these things in order to have the knowledge that
- 6:05Speaker 1: you have today. So I wish that I had come
- 6:08Speaker 1: to this arrival that I mean now, this place of
- 6:11Speaker 1: peace and joy. But then guess what, I would not
- 6:14Speaker 1: know what I know. I could not share some of
- 6:17Speaker 1: the things that I'm able to share if I had
- 6:20Speaker 1: not gone through some of them. And sometimes that's the
- 6:23Speaker 1: purpose of them is to teach you a lesson, because
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, God has a plan for you. He really
- 6:27Speaker 1: really does, and eventually he can use you no matter
- 6:31Speaker 1: how old you are, and he can use you no
- 6:33Speaker 1: matter how young you are. If you just say, Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm ready to hear your plan. I've tried mine, mine
- 6:40Speaker 1: ain't worked out. What's your plan for me? God? What
- 6:43Speaker 1: do you want me to do? That's why I say
- 6:46Speaker 1: every day. Steve Harvey got radio show y'all, because man,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I ain't see it coming. I didn't see that coming.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I ain't see this book coming. I ain't seen I
- 6:54Speaker 1: ain't seen it. Half of the amazing things that are
- 6:56Speaker 1: happened to me, I didn't plan them. I was sitting man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: asking God for some direction. And then I got smart
- 7:04Speaker 1: enough to stay watchful, be a hard worker. Now because faithful,
- 7:08Speaker 1: our works is there and it came. And I'll remind
- 7:11Speaker 1: you of this. God has given all of you a gift.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Every last one of you listening has a gift. God
- 7:17Speaker 1: has never created a soul that he did not provide
- 7:19Speaker 1: a gift to. God gives everyone a gift, and a
- 7:23Speaker 1: gift is not just singing, rapping entertainment. The richer gifts
- 7:28Speaker 1: are much more than that. Teachers are gifted people who
- 7:32Speaker 1: really have the gift of sharing information. That's a gift,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know, and in that you can become great. You
- 7:41Speaker 1: know a lot of people people think that successful and
- 7:46Speaker 1: greatness is the same thing. Cornell West said it at
- 7:49Speaker 1: my daughter's graduation. He was a spokesperson. He said something
- 7:52Speaker 1: so pointed. He said, don't ever confuse success with greatness.
- 7:57Speaker 1: The two have nothing to do with each other. See
- 8:00Speaker 1: people determine success about money and fame and all this here.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But greatness. Greatness ain't got nothing to do with your money.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It ain't got nothing to do with your fame. It's
- 8:10Speaker 1: how you conduct your life. It's how meaningful and significant
- 8:13Speaker 1: you become in your community, at your church, on your job,
- 8:18Speaker 1: to the club scout unit that you run, to the
- 8:21Speaker 1: little girls lives that you change, that that little center
- 8:24Speaker 1: in the hood where you just one place of hope
- 8:27Speaker 1: to so many people and they come back. And I
- 8:29Speaker 1: used the example of lou Danzler who passed away in
- 8:32Speaker 1: La who had the Boys and Girls Challenges Club out
- 8:35Speaker 1: in La. And he wasn't a rich man at all,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and if you walk by him, you wouldn't even know
- 8:39Speaker 1: who he was. But if you look at all the
- 8:42Speaker 1: people who have gone on to become politicians, who have
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone on to become CEO's, who have gone on to
- 8:48Speaker 1: become athletes, that have passed through this man's small building
- 8:52Speaker 1: in the hood in La, he was great. Trust me, Man,
- 8:57Speaker 1: prad changes things. I said all the time. But you
- 9:00Speaker 1: see people become successful or great that somebody praying somewhere
- 9:04Speaker 1: may not even beat them. Maybe it's day Mama you know,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I think of Tiger Woods and all the greatness he's accomplished.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You know they always talk about as farther than all
- 9:12Speaker 1: this here, somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods. I got
- 9:17Speaker 1: cash money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama is a
- 9:20Speaker 1: praying woman or something. My mother was. She prayed me
- 9:23Speaker 1: into this place because she ushould call me all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Praying for your boy, and prayer changes things. It really does.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Try it today. It can change you. It has changed
- 9:33Speaker 1: millions of people. Open up yourself to the greatness that's
- 9:37Speaker 1: in you, because God is giving you a gift. Now
- 9:40Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't using it. Who fought you
- 9:42Speaker 1: think that is? I'm just telling you you got one,
- 9:45Speaker 1: and if you start praying about it, it'll manifest itself
- 9:49Speaker 1: and you can become one or two things, successful or
- 9:53Speaker 1: great or both. You can make the decision today show,
- 10:03Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. This is how I decided to open
- 10:07Speaker 1: today's show. Ain't ain't really no rhyme, no reason. I
- 10:12Speaker 1: just I'm gonna watchever one of these all lass songs
- 10:16Speaker 1: come to my mid Papa was who rolling Stone, just
- 10:20Speaker 1: like wherever he laid his hat was his home. Awful
- 10:27Speaker 1: he left. This was a loan see it again. Papa
- 10:33Speaker 1: was a rolling stone. Wherever he laid his hat was
- 10:39Speaker 1: his home. And when he died, oh he left. This
- 10:44Speaker 1: was a lone Shirley Straw Happy Friday's team crazy Happy
- 10:52Speaker 1: it is to the one and only car Love for Red.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You better say fighting tests his baby, Yes, lud whooo,
- 11:14Speaker 1: just my imagination that damn kill Spate better known as
- 11:21Speaker 1: boy Uncle. I felt that never boy, I feel like
- 11:23Speaker 1: we told about God never had he ain't never not
- 11:33Speaker 1: never had a nas see, never heard no but bad
- 11:40Speaker 1: things about it. Mama, I'm dependent on you. Tell me
- 11:45Speaker 1: the truth. Mama just hung ahead down and said Papa
- 11:51Speaker 1: was a rolling stolen Jay Anthony Brown, give me one,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Jake come, he laid his head was his home, singing
- 12:02Speaker 1: Jack all left. This was low sh mister Harvey boy,
- 12:13Speaker 1: Let's see, let's see, let's see, let's this ain't what
- 12:15Speaker 1: do you do? But let's see. Nephew, Tommy, give me on,
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oh God, no, try on, watch this right here, Julia,
- 12:33Speaker 1: give me any water, littm smoking hits. And when he died,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I thought he was gonna Jean to see us for sure,
- 12:48Speaker 1: that would give me one, joan to see one Joe
- 12:52Speaker 1: take my mom. Hit h you you can't have you

- 20:27Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning show Man, can I see someone
- 20:32Speaker 1: in this last ten seconds? Hurry all right, thank you,
- 20:38Speaker 1: Tommy coming up next, asked the Cello Chief Love Officer
- 20:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building. Right after this, you're listening
- 20:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show Time. Now for Steve's favorite segment, asked
- 20:49Speaker 1: the Cello Chief Love Officer. And if you want advice
- 20:52Speaker 1: from the Cello, please submit your questions to Steve Harvey
- 20:55Speaker 1: FM dot com. Okay, now, Steve. This one is from
- 20:59Speaker 1: Camille and Laurel, Mississippi. She says, I'm a thirty nine
- 21:02Speaker 1: year old female and I've had the same best friend
- 21:04Speaker 1: for twenty years. Recently, I made a terrible mistake in
- 21:07Speaker 1: judgment and had sex with one of our male friends.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I shared all the details with my best friend. The
- 21:14Speaker 1: guy has a girlfriend and we're all friends. So I
- 21:17Speaker 1: felt really bad about it. Two days ago, he called
- 21:20Speaker 1: me and was angry because his girlfriend found out. I
- 21:24Speaker 1: asked my best friend if she told her, and she
- 21:27Speaker 1: said that the girlfriend had a right to know. I'm
- 21:29Speaker 1: not speaking to my best friend now because her loyalty
- 21:32Speaker 1: was with the wrong person. Am I wrong for ending
- 21:35Speaker 1: the friendship? Well, no, you're not, thank you, but your
- 21:41Speaker 1: loyalty was misplaced. Also, see if you all were all
- 21:46Speaker 1: in a group, and you all were friends, and then
- 21:50Speaker 1: you slept with one of the girls in your group, man,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and then you told your best friend, and then she
- 21:57Speaker 1: turned around and said, I think the girl had the
- 21:59Speaker 1: right to know. That's y'all's little girl cold y'all be
- 22:02Speaker 1: doing all the time. But so you should have thought
- 22:05Speaker 1: about that if the girl was in your group and
- 22:09Speaker 1: then your girl told. But ain't that what y'all do?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Y'all always say, I would want to know. Well that
- 22:15Speaker 1: it is, so you kind of died by your own
- 22:19Speaker 1: little theory, I think, Ladies in the opinion, well, I
- 22:22Speaker 1: don't think that the best friends should have told. I
- 22:24Speaker 1: don't think that, and I agree with you, Steve. I
- 22:27Speaker 1: definitely agree with you. I think with the best friend
- 22:30Speaker 1: if the best friend code, I would want to know
- 22:33Speaker 1: if my best friend knew. So it's levels to the
- 22:36Speaker 1: code is you're kind of agreeving it all together. I
- 22:39Speaker 1: don't know how close, dude, y'all don't know the code exact.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I have to loop it all in. I don't know
- 22:46Speaker 1: why she had to run a damn mouth. Yea, some
- 22:49Speaker 1: of them were best friends and then the other ones
- 22:51Speaker 1: were friends. But she specifically said that one girl who
- 22:55Speaker 1: told was her best friend. Yeah, well, she told her
- 22:58Speaker 1: best friend, and then she would have over there and
- 23:00Speaker 1: told the other girl. Because you don't know the relationship
- 23:03Speaker 1: she had with the other the other girl, right, the
- 23:05Speaker 1: other girl might think she helped bed friend too. I
- 23:07Speaker 1: just felt she should know. Yeah, Okay. This one's from
- 23:17Speaker 1: Shawanna and Louisville, Kentucky. She says, I am five months
- 23:20Speaker 1: pregnant by a lying man. We dated for a year
- 23:24Speaker 1: and everything was great until he told me that he
- 23:27Speaker 1: was married when I told him. When I told him
- 23:31Speaker 1: I was pregnant, he told me he's been married for
- 23:33Speaker 1: six years. He also said he's got another baby on
- 23:37Speaker 1: the way by a girl named Tanisha. He said that
- 23:41Speaker 1: he felt better after he came clean about everything, and
- 23:44Speaker 1: now we could move on from here. What. I'm not
- 23:48Speaker 1: trying to raise my child in this ghetto mess, but
- 23:50Speaker 1: I need help and support. What should I do now? Wow?
- 23:54Speaker 1: I mean what else can you do? You know? He
- 23:58Speaker 1: you need help with support. He's gonna have to pay
- 24:01Speaker 1: child support. But I don't think you. I don't know
- 24:04Speaker 1: if you're gonna have an ongoing relationship with him unless
- 24:07Speaker 1: you just get okay with being the other woman because
- 24:10Speaker 1: he'd been married for six years and you just found out.
- 24:13Speaker 1: But he not only been married, he got another girl pregnant. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 1: that's why are you pregnant? And now y'all don't even
- 24:19Speaker 1: know the wife and the wife don't nobody either want
- 24:21Speaker 1: of y'all? He didn't know he was married after five months? Wow?
- 24:24Speaker 1: And no protection? Who? Yeah, you can hide it for
- 24:30Speaker 1: five months, you can your wife, But sure the girl
- 24:35Speaker 1: you're cheating with two okay? Yeah, y'all have been tricked
- 24:39Speaker 1: by that. I don't want to run him off. Equasion
- 24:42Speaker 1: that a lot of women use, yea, And so you
- 24:45Speaker 1: end up going along with a lot of stuff trying
- 24:47Speaker 1: to see where a gold and then you like caller say,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you end up settling, but why aren't you using protection? Steve? Still,
- 24:55Speaker 1: I don't know why? Five months? Okay, we're moving on.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Why are people wearing mask? Yeah, they don't think they
- 25:05Speaker 1: can get it, so yeah, yeah, that is a general consensus. Um,
- 25:10Speaker 1: please get your child support though, lady Henry, mask and
- 25:14Speaker 1: a condom. I'm sorry, that's good advice. Together, Yeah, yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: together during the during the DW Yeah, condom. You're gonna
- 25:24Speaker 1: have a hard time pining his baby on me, all right, Steve,
- 25:34Speaker 1: here's one from Henry. Yeah, Henry and Fairfax, Virginia says Hello, Steve,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I guess you can say that I'm an old fool.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I'm a single father and a one hundred percent disabled veteran.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I've been dating a thirty nine year old woman for
- 25:55Speaker 1: two years and doing my best to keep her happy,
- 25:59Speaker 1: and she has very expensive taste. I recently found out
- 26:03Speaker 1: that she's been cheating on me and going on trips
- 26:06Speaker 1: with another man with the money that I give her.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I feel hurt and used, and I just want an explanation.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I can move on, but I need closure. Should I
- 26:17Speaker 1: keep trying to get answers or just let her go
- 26:22Speaker 1: for listen to me. First, wait, wait, wait, hold on,
- 26:26Speaker 1: Steve on, what did you say? Tommy? I just said,
- 26:29Speaker 1: thank you for your service? Okay, yeah, thank you. Okay,
- 26:34Speaker 1: well you know that ain't what I'm Okay, let's take
- 26:37Speaker 1: into consideration what Timmy just said, thank you for your serve.
- 26:40Speaker 1: But here, come to Joe. I don't know how you are,
- 26:44Speaker 1: but your name Henry didn't say. Yeah, come on, Ash
- 26:52Speaker 1: was born before nineteen six, somewhere before nineteen seventy. So Henry,
- 26:59Speaker 1: now you are one hundred percent disabled Vestia. So now
- 27:04Speaker 1: she's getting all your disability check that check, and she traveling.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'm assuming here you can't go nowhere. Hey, hey, hey care,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I'm just no, no, no, Steve, nothing you wrote in
- 27:23Speaker 1: am My old food A hundred percent disable. I'm assuming
- 27:27Speaker 1: your ass can't go nowhere, you and your fifties and sixties.
- 27:31Speaker 1: She thirty nine, she's spending all your money. She going
- 27:35Speaker 1: with somebody a walk he ski, No, he won hundred
- 27:40Speaker 1: percent disable. What you want me to say, it's just
- 27:43Speaker 1: the way. Well, I'm just trying to tell you thank
- 27:47Speaker 1: you for your service. So you're listening, all right. So
- 27:56Speaker 1: here's the question, guys, should we really ever blame the
- 27:59Speaker 1: other woman or the other man. Now, every time we
- 28:02Speaker 1: hear that someone was left they were cheated on with
- 28:05Speaker 1: another man or woman, folks, always we always blame the person. Uh,
- 28:10Speaker 1: we always blame that person first. Then they blame the
- 28:13Speaker 1: significant other, the spouse. We always blame the woman first.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I mean, and that's down down through history. So the
- 28:19Speaker 1: question is who really should get the blame. I think
- 28:22Speaker 1: there's enough blame to go around, quite frank, Yeah, but
- 28:27Speaker 1: you know this is crazy, but normally the woman is
- 28:31Speaker 1: always the blame. I mean, when you think about it,
- 28:33Speaker 1: down through history, people mostly blame the woman. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:38Speaker 1: so the So then the question is like, okay, so
- 28:40Speaker 1: if you're in a relationship and you leave that relationship
- 28:44Speaker 1: to get with someone else, whole's fault is it? Is
- 28:48Speaker 1: it the new person's fault, you know, the woman's fault,
- 28:51Speaker 1: or is it the man's fault for leaving and hurting
- 28:55Speaker 1: his significant other? You mean, but what I mean, but
- 28:58Speaker 1: he had to have had your saying, a relationship with
- 29:01Speaker 1: this other person before he left his significant other, right
- 29:04Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, so he was cheating yeah yeah, person.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Well you know, look, whoever is in the supposed committed
- 29:15Speaker 1: relationship is to blame for breaking the commitment. That's you know, Look,
- 29:21Speaker 1: you're not You're not. Look, you can't blame the other person.
- 29:25Speaker 1: The other person ain't promised you nothing. The other other
- 29:29Speaker 1: person didn't take no vows, the other person didn't promise
- 29:33Speaker 1: you nothing. Your directed anger should be at the person
- 29:38Speaker 1: who broke the commitment to you, who broke your trust.
- 29:42Speaker 1: That's your problem. Now you can feel now if you
- 29:45Speaker 1: see her, you're gonna have problem with her. Because she
- 29:47Speaker 1: knew that you were in a relationship. Why didn't she
- 29:50Speaker 1: leave you alone? That that's the other argument, you know
- 29:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying, that's the argument on the other side, Well,
- 29:55Speaker 1: she knew we were in a relationship, why was she
- 29:57Speaker 1: in it? And she already knew he had a girl?
- 30:00Speaker 1: Why did he pursue it? Is the bigger question. But
- 30:03Speaker 1: because see, if it wasn't her, it would have been
- 30:06Speaker 1: somebody else, right, Because if he's in to pursue other
- 30:09Speaker 1: women business, it doesn't matter that it's her. If it's
- 30:13Speaker 1: not her, it's gonna be somebody else pursued, right, Yeah,
- 30:15Speaker 1: because he in the pursue game. But the women so
- 30:19Speaker 1: most of the time, gets blamed, get blamed for that
- 30:22Speaker 1: women do. She knew we were in a relationship that
- 30:26Speaker 1: women don't usually blame the men if the men cheat,
- 30:29Speaker 1: I mean after the fact. Yeah, but and and they
- 30:32Speaker 1: go so far as to take the man back that
- 30:34Speaker 1: is cheated on. Yeah, yeah, but the woman is outcast. Yeah,
- 30:39Speaker 1: they threw with her. Yeah, they're done. So you said,
- 30:44Speaker 1: blame the person that with the commitment. I agree with. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I do too. That's how it should pursue. That's how
- 30:51Speaker 1: it should go. But it doesn't often go that way.
- 30:53Speaker 1: You're right though, Yeah, Well, I blame my best friend
- 30:59Speaker 1: for breaking up what relationship I had. He dated, he
- 31:05Speaker 1: ended up messing around with my girlfriend long long time ago.
- 31:09Speaker 1: But I blamed his ass I did. Junior, Well, don't
- 31:13Speaker 1: don't say that, Timmy. You go is everything gets so
- 31:16Speaker 1: personal on this show. I'm trying, but he knows who
- 31:19Speaker 1: it is to see. We comedian, that's how we we.
- 31:22Speaker 1: We The jokes come from this therapy, jokes that come
- 31:26Speaker 1: from that highway. Junior. Yeah, I come back and then
- 31:33Speaker 1: I catched them kissing on the couch, like, oh dog,
- 31:37Speaker 1: But they looked at me like you're gonna put that
- 31:38Speaker 1: in the kitchen. No, I'm not gonna put that in
- 31:40Speaker 1: the kitchen. Timing, you know, you know, he looking like
- 31:50Speaker 1: tim looking like, are you gonna put that down right there? No?
- 31:54Speaker 1: I just caught you kissing my girl. Yeah, you went
- 31:58Speaker 1: to the store and something. Yeah, and you left them
- 32:01Speaker 1: alone in the house. Yeah, and you come but this
- 32:04Speaker 1: is your boy. Yeah, you come back, you dog? You know,
- 32:07Speaker 1: iver say, oh man, you got to be kidding me.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But he looked at me and always up, man, what's up? Man?
- 32:13Speaker 1: You're gonna put that in the kitchen like you're living
- 32:15Speaker 1: like you're gonna put that in the kitchen like the
- 32:16Speaker 1: drace is going in the kitchen right now, cocacoa. If
- 32:21Speaker 1: you whip the ass back there, Like I said, we
- 32:23Speaker 1: wouldn't be even talking about. Everything gets violence. That's how
- 32:26Speaker 1: you get paid. If I walk in to my house
- 32:33Speaker 1: and my partner kissing my girl on the couch, yeah,
- 32:36Speaker 1: it's gonna be some hell up in him. It's gonna
- 32:39Speaker 1: be some real hell up in him, because dog, my
- 32:42Speaker 1: house dog, and you think less of me. You don't
- 32:45Speaker 1: even have enough respect for me. You already disrespect for
- 32:48Speaker 1: me with my girl, and so is she disrespecting me
- 32:51Speaker 1: with you. But you're gonna come in my house like
- 32:53Speaker 1: I ain't nothing. Oh gnaw dog, I promise you me
- 32:58Speaker 1: and your asses at walk. But see, and that's normally
- 33:02Speaker 1: what happens, Steve, that's normally what happens. That's that's normally
- 33:07Speaker 1: what happens. What you just said. But earlier you said
- 33:10Speaker 1: it's the responsibility of the one who's in the commitment. Yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 1: but see now if here you see it and see
- 33:21Speaker 1: it's a double standard. No I get it, but I'm
- 33:23Speaker 1: saying it ain't no double standardship. This is what. Okay,
- 33:26Speaker 1: go ahead, finish your thought. Now I'm listening to me.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Now we're in this here. But now if you might
- 33:34Speaker 1: do yeah, and I know you see now we got
- 33:38Speaker 1: to go into man code. Man code is you don't
- 33:43Speaker 1: do your boys. Girl. It's too many women out here
- 33:46Speaker 1: that's available. So now you over here in mind, then
- 33:51Speaker 1: you in my house. Yeah, that's what happened to care
- 33:54Speaker 1: same thing. Why wasn't that my house house? Yeah? Well,
- 33:57Speaker 1: oh I was a comedian, you know, I just I
- 34:00Speaker 1: hand over. I was hug just for Shelton. But it
- 34:02Speaker 1: was your friend though. The don't you understand we had
- 34:05Speaker 1: to stay a plate with fush. That's this is treat. Yeah,
- 34:10Speaker 1: were you you girl? I love four places. When I
- 34:15Speaker 1: was homeless, man, I probably told about six girls and
- 34:18Speaker 1: they believed you because I had to let me stay
- 34:21Speaker 1: that I love you, So they come home. While I'll
- 34:25Speaker 1: be cooking everything, you'll be doing everything. Hell yeah, and
- 34:29Speaker 1: just just just not that Junior. We can still his age.
- 34:32Speaker 1: He's still around you. Side a right, all right in Houston,
- 34:37Speaker 1: we gotta go. You're listening time for would you rather?
- 34:44Speaker 1: Would you rather eat rotten eggs or drink sour milk? Yeah?
- 34:51Speaker 1: You can all let up. Man, gonna go with that
- 34:54Speaker 1: sour milk. That's that's close to butter milk. Yeah, okay,
- 35:00Speaker 1: my sister would take that. That Roden's head. You got
- 35:02Speaker 1: problem though, Come on, Junior, what you got? Yeah, I'm
- 35:08Speaker 1: gonna go with the sour milk. I can't. I've had
- 35:12Speaker 1: bad milk before. I poured it on seal before and
- 35:15Speaker 1: knew it was solid. But that's all that's all you
- 35:17Speaker 1: had ye had, And I'd be damn if I was
- 35:20Speaker 1: gonna let my crazy heads daddy see me rank that
- 35:23Speaker 1: in the train. Whoa oh, you're throwing away food now?
- 35:32Speaker 1: Whoa oh, you're buying groceries? You got money. Okay, did
- 35:39Speaker 1: we hear from the nephew? Wait? No, no you didn't,
- 35:43Speaker 1: and move on. No, pick one gets that trash with
- 35:48Speaker 1: that seal. I'll tell you what. I guess something. I
- 35:54Speaker 1: gotta follow them because I don't want the egg. I
- 35:56Speaker 1: gotta go with the milk. Anyway it is, I'm gonna
- 36:00Speaker 1: throw up on you dad, all right? Would you rather
- 36:03Speaker 1: date someone with their ex's name tattooed on their chest
- 36:08Speaker 1: or date someone who's ex lives next door? Would you
- 36:14Speaker 1: rather date someone that has their ex's name tattooed on
- 36:17Speaker 1: their chest? Or would you rather date someone who's ex
- 36:20Speaker 1: lives next door? I'm going with the chest. I'm gonna
- 36:24Speaker 1: see you from behind more than I am going from
- 36:26Speaker 1: the front. Anyway. Wow, wow, Wow, are you sleepy because
- 36:31Speaker 1: you just off? Wow? Flying off? You asked me ste
- 36:37Speaker 1: think about your answers. Yeah, I'm just I'm not pulling
- 36:41Speaker 1: up every day and he right there. That turn into
- 36:45Speaker 1: a fight. Come on, tell my Lawrence next door? Lawrence, Ye, Floyd,
- 36:50Speaker 1: Floyd stay right next door. No, you can have that tattoo.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I just I just I just missed you. I probably
- 36:58Speaker 1: misread it anyway, you know, I get names anyway. All right,
- 37:02Speaker 1: one more? One more? Would you rather get stuck in
- 37:05Speaker 1: an elevator with your ex or with your partner and
- 37:08Speaker 1: their ex? H No, I don't go with the partner.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I'd rather get stuck in there with my partner and
- 37:18Speaker 1: her X. I can hook his as. We can do
- 37:21Speaker 1: that at least what you say, Junior say, I'm going on.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'd rather do that. Okay, okay, all right, nephew, the
- 37:33Speaker 1: elevator or with your partner in their X. Come on,
- 37:36Speaker 1: don't be difficult elevator with your ex? You scared? All right,
- 37:49Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 37:51Speaker 1: Show right after you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 37:59Speaker 1: it is time for comedy roulette. Jay, please do the
- 38:02Speaker 1: honors and explain. Go ahead and look on its feet.
- 38:08Speaker 1: You'll be all right, priceless. I know right. You gotta
- 38:14Speaker 1: do it, though, go ahead, anything, do you take four subjects?
- 38:19Speaker 1: Because we're all comedians, we can do this. You put
- 38:21Speaker 1: those four subjects, one at a time on a wheel
- 38:24Speaker 1: that goes around and around. When that wheel spins round
- 38:27Speaker 1: and around and around, where that wheel stops. Because we're
- 38:32Speaker 1: all comedians, will do the damn thing. All right here
- 38:36Speaker 1: we go with the topics. Things you hide in the
- 38:40Speaker 1: fridge from other people? All right, Lies you tell yourself
- 38:45Speaker 1: when you're running out of gas, what you say to
- 38:49Speaker 1: yourself when you get dumped, and what you say when
- 38:53Speaker 1: you oversleep. Spind the wheel, cat spun it, spun the wheel.
- 39:03Speaker 1: I like what you're saying yourself in your open week,
- 39:07Speaker 1: but it's what you say to yourself when you get dumped.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I want to this one. Let's go, guys, let me
- 39:13Speaker 1: start it off. Come on, hey, I was gonna go
- 39:16Speaker 1: into service anyway, so this relationship wasn't gonna work at anyway.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I don't really like I didn't really want her, no way.
- 39:27Speaker 1: It was her best friend. I really want it to
- 39:30Speaker 1: be honest with you. Work it out for yourself. Yes,
- 39:35Speaker 1: what you say to yourself when you get jumped, Steve,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you don't want crazy? I ain't crazy? What say you?
- 39:50Speaker 1: Trust me? Your breath was gonna break us up. You know.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I didn't really care for you making me wear all
- 40:00Speaker 1: that leather in the bedroom anyway, So I'm glad we
- 40:03Speaker 1: ain't doing this. No mother, listen, I'm chap nine. Come on, Steve,
- 40:11Speaker 1: what you say to yourself when you get dumbed. I
- 40:15Speaker 1: was just about to text her anyway, right after breakfast.
- 40:24Speaker 1: You say to yourself when you bring up, I don't
- 40:27Speaker 1: know how to tell you this, but I never did
- 40:28Speaker 1: like your dog. How about you know? Truth be told,
- 40:36Speaker 1: Truth be told. My baby mama won't me back anyway.

- 51:51Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 51:54Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. Subject is my wife an
- 51:56Speaker 1: undercover gold digger. Just Stephen Shirley. My wife and I
- 52:00Speaker 1: have been married for over fifteen years, and we've come
- 52:04Speaker 1: close to getting a divorce a few times in the
- 52:06Speaker 1: past few years over our finances. My wife has had
- 52:10Speaker 1: issues with managing money, so I don't trust her when
- 52:13Speaker 1: it comes to keeping up with our money. We have
- 52:16Speaker 1: always had separate accounts. I have a personal savings account
- 52:19Speaker 1: and I've been able to save a great deal of
- 52:22Speaker 1: money for our retirement. My wife does not have access
- 52:26Speaker 1: to this account. We have one shared account that I
- 52:29Speaker 1: put money into each month for household expenses. I am
- 52:32Speaker 1: able to track it, but I've never had a problem
- 52:35Speaker 1: with her using the money for personal needs. We both work,
- 52:39Speaker 1: but I am the main breadwinner and I pay all
- 52:42Speaker 1: of the bills in the house. That's the house note,
- 52:45Speaker 1: both car notes, and all of the utilities. She pays
- 52:48Speaker 1: her cell phone and American Express bills. In the past
- 52:52Speaker 1: two years, she has constantly nagged me to see bank
- 52:56Speaker 1: statements and a breakdown of our finances. It makes me easy,
- 53:00Speaker 1: and she gets upset when I tell her is not
- 53:02Speaker 1: necessary for me to share that with her. She told
- 53:05Speaker 1: me I'm too secretive, and she loves to threaten me
- 53:08Speaker 1: with divorce. I'm not being secretive. It's a trust thing.
- 53:13Speaker 1: And why does she need to know all of a sudden,
- 53:16Speaker 1: I am planning to retire with her and I want
- 53:19Speaker 1: to keep her in the same lifestyle she's used to.
- 53:22Speaker 1: But I don't know if we're going to make it.
- 53:25Speaker 1: She has been sleeping in the guest room and she
- 53:28Speaker 1: refuses to have sex with me. I'm a father, great provider,
- 53:32Speaker 1: and god fearing man, but this situation has me angry
- 53:36Speaker 1: as heck. My wife won't sleep with me unless I
- 53:39Speaker 1: show her my bank statements. It seems like after fifteen
- 53:43Speaker 1: years of marriage, my wife has turned into a gold digger.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Please help me figure this out. Am I doing something wrong?
- 53:49Speaker 1: What's up with her? Well, you know what, I don't
- 53:52Speaker 1: think you're doing anything wrong necessarily because you got to
- 53:56Speaker 1: save money. You want to have money for your retirement.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Your money your Your wife is reckless with her money
- 54:04Speaker 1: and with the money, so she is not a good
- 54:06Speaker 1: person to entrust your life savings and your retirement funds with.
- 54:11Speaker 1: And if she doesn't understand that, that's on her, uh
- 54:15Speaker 1: not you. I think that it's good that you guys
- 54:18Speaker 1: have separate accounts. I think it's good that you guys
- 54:21Speaker 1: share an account where and I think it's great that
- 54:24Speaker 1: you put money in it and pay all of the bills.
- 54:27Speaker 1: All those are pluses. What your wife is up to
- 54:33Speaker 1: is anybody's guests. You know, if she wants to see
- 54:38Speaker 1: bank statements because I don't know, does she think or
- 54:43Speaker 1: suspect that you're you're hiding money from her or something?
- 54:46Speaker 1: But I think you know, in this instance, it might be.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I think it's okay for you to sit her down
- 54:53Speaker 1: and tell her this is what's going on. You guys
- 54:55Speaker 1: have been married for fifteen years. That should garner some
- 54:59Speaker 1: kind of trust in a relationship. I mean money is
- 55:02Speaker 1: still like if not that still the number one is
- 55:05Speaker 1: definitely in the top two of why relationships and marriages
- 55:09Speaker 1: break up because of finances, because you know, people are
- 55:13Speaker 1: reckless when it comes to money. She has her own job.
- 55:16Speaker 1: What does she need to see it for? If you know,
- 55:20Speaker 1: if you're saving and everything, but if you guys are
- 55:23Speaker 1: in a good marriage. I think there does need to
- 55:26Speaker 1: be some trust. Why don't you want to show it
- 55:28Speaker 1: to her? That that is my question. I don't think
- 55:31Speaker 1: it's necessarily because you're being secretive or trying to hide something.
- 55:34Speaker 1: You just don't want her nagging you to get that money.
- 55:38Speaker 1: You've got to know that. You know, a lot of
- 55:40Speaker 1: times wives do go over spend, you know. That's why
- 55:43Speaker 1: if you open up the trunk right now, you'll probably
- 55:46Speaker 1: find some shoe boxes of brand new shoes that she
- 55:48Speaker 1: hasn't snuck in the house yet. You know. It's kind
- 55:52Speaker 1: of you know, it's kind of just what we do,
- 55:55Speaker 1: some of us, some of us, I mean, we do,
- 55:58Speaker 1: you know. But as is her not sleeping with you,
- 56:01Speaker 1: that's a bit far because you won't show her the
- 56:03Speaker 1: bank statements and all of that unless she has something
- 56:06Speaker 1: else planned. I think it's really really immature of her
- 56:09Speaker 1: to threaten you with divorce because of this situation. That's
- 56:14Speaker 1: not cool. I don't think that's something you should play with.
- 56:16Speaker 1: But I think there is a communication situation going on
- 56:19Speaker 1: here too. You may not want to do it, but
- 56:22Speaker 1: just show her, you know, maybe that'll calm her down
- 56:24Speaker 1: and settle her down and tell her the reasons you're
- 56:27Speaker 1: doing this. You know you want to continue her lifestyle.
- 56:32Speaker 1: You're really doing it out of love and stuff. But
- 56:34Speaker 1: she's selfish more than being a gold digger. Steve, is
- 56:39Speaker 1: my wife an UNDERCOVID gold digger. Well, y'all been married
- 56:44Speaker 1: fifteen years, y'all and came close to divorce in a
- 56:47Speaker 1: couple of times. Then you say that your wife got
- 56:50Speaker 1: issues with managing money, so I don't trust her when
- 56:54Speaker 1: it comes to keeping up without money. There's a little
- 56:57Speaker 1: confusion here. We've always had supparate so that over the
- 57:00Speaker 1: fifteen years you've had that. I have a personal savings account,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and you've said you've been able to save a great
- 57:07Speaker 1: deal of money for our retirement and your wife ain't
- 57:12Speaker 1: got access to it. Y'all got to share the account
- 57:14Speaker 1: that I put money into for households that I'm able
- 57:17Speaker 1: to track, but I've never had And then you said,
- 57:20Speaker 1: but I've never had a problem with her using the
- 57:22Speaker 1: money for her personal needs. Well, if you've never had
- 57:25Speaker 1: a problem with her using the money for your personal needs,
- 57:28Speaker 1: what was the several divorces about them? See, there's a
- 57:32Speaker 1: little confusion going on here. Brother, you all have come
- 57:35Speaker 1: closer getting a divorce over finances. You don't have a
- 57:39Speaker 1: problem with her using the money for personal needs? Did
- 57:43Speaker 1: you say? Ten seconds? They we both work. I'm the
- 57:47Speaker 1: main brandwinner, and I pay all the bills in the
- 57:50Speaker 1: house house called, all its utilities, and all she paying
- 57:54Speaker 1: herself on the manage. Well, when you make a lot
- 57:55Speaker 1: of money, though, if you're paying all that and still
- 57:58Speaker 1: saved a lot of money for y'all's retirement, and you
- 58:01Speaker 1: don't have a problem with her spending for her personal needs,
- 58:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out what the damn problem is.
- 58:08Speaker 1: I love him all right, and hold that thought, Steve.
- 58:12Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 58:14Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after be our subject is my wife
- 58:17Speaker 1: an undercovered gold digger? We'll be back to find out
- 58:20Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 58:25Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject is my
- 58:28Speaker 1: wife an undercover gold digger? This is kind of a
- 58:32Speaker 1: confusing letter, y'all. Couse, you've been closer getting divorce a
- 58:35Speaker 1: couple of times because you don't trust it with the
- 58:37Speaker 1: money y'all in hand separate accounts, but you got just
- 58:40Speaker 1: one account where you say a great deal of money
- 58:42Speaker 1: for y'all's retirement. Your wife don't have access to it.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Y'all got to share account. Y'all put money into and
- 58:48Speaker 1: you ain't never had a problem with her using the
- 58:51Speaker 1: money for her personal needs. If you've never had a
- 58:54Speaker 1: problem with that, why have you all been getting a divorce?
- 58:56Speaker 1: I'm confused. We both work. You the main breadwinner. You
- 59:00Speaker 1: pay all the bills in the house. She paying her
- 59:02Speaker 1: cell phone in Americans press. Now, in the past two years,
- 59:06Speaker 1: here we go, she has constantly nagged me to see
- 59:09Speaker 1: bank statements and a breakdown of our finances. Okay, most
- 59:15Speaker 1: women want to know what's going on in their life.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Since you have this separate account, she's asked you to
- 59:21Speaker 1: see it now, then you are uneasy with it, and
- 59:26Speaker 1: she get upset because this is what you've been told
- 59:28Speaker 1: a grown woman. Now, it's not necessary for me to
- 59:31Speaker 1: share that with you. Wow, wayman, hold a partner. I
- 59:38Speaker 1: gotta tell you some real, honest man. You talking to
- 59:42Speaker 1: a grown woman who's married to you, and you have
- 59:46Speaker 1: a separate account that she has found out about, and
- 59:49Speaker 1: you've saved a great deal of money for retirement, for
- 59:53Speaker 1: you all, and she asked to see the bank statement
- 59:56Speaker 1: of the finances of y'all's life, of which you all
- 59:59Speaker 1: contribute y'all's money into this account, but you pay the bills,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: and then you tell her it ain't necessary for you
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: to share that with her. Dog reverse this for a second.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: This is what this is how Margie wins all arguments
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: with us. She says, reverse this. D Suppose I said
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: that to you, and then that's how she win all
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: our arguments. Yeah, that's whenever. But she only do that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: when I'm dead wrong. She don't do that when she wrong.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: When I reverse it, she reverse it back. She really
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: tricky though. She told me that I'm too secretive and
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: she loves to threaten me with divorce. Well, dog, see,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you say that there's all this money over here, but
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the money ain't in her house. She trying to figure
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: out what is it going somewhere else? And you telling
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: her it's in an account. She says, show me the account,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and you tell her she don't need to know, and
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: then she say you're being secret Then you say, I'm
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: not being secretive. Okay, Doc, what you want to call
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: he said, it's a trust thing. But dog you're keeping
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: a secret from your wife, so she is right about that.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You are being so secretive. But I know what you're saying,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: because you don't trust it with the money. And why
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: does she need to know all of a sudden Wait
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a minute, hold up, dog, what woman don't have a
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: right to know what's going on in her life? You
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: think if she finds out the money, that's she gonna
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: spend it. But you already got it protected because she
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: don't have access to it. So now the fact that
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: you won't show it to her ever, has created a
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: huge problem. I'm planning to retire with her. She don't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: know that. See now we got an insecurity issue going
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: on because you got all his money stacked off to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: the side. She don't know about if she don't know
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: if you're gonna take it off with another woman. She
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: don't know if you're gonna keep it for yourself. She
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: don't know what it is. I'm planning to retire with her,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: and I want to keep her in the same lifestyle
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: she's used to. Damn bro, I mean, I hear what
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you're saying. You got a good heart. I think you're
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: phrasing it wrong to the woman, though but I don't
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: know if we're gonna make it. Hold dog, So you're
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: gonna risch your marriage of a person you want to
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: retire with because she think you got a secret. You
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: don't trust her spending. You ain't gonna show her that account.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: And now she she threatened you with divorce. And now
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: she had moved into the guest room. And we ain't
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: having sex. We're not having sex. You can read all
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: these papers. Hold on, hold on, We're not having sex.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Tell you know what I mean. You know what what I mean,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: received you from the sea. This is statements. I'm a father,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: great profather, and a god fearing man. Stop stop bringing
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: the Lord in this. This ain't got nothing through the Lord. Doc.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Why did the Lord tell you to keep the secret?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: So let's not dragged the Lord in this. But this
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: situation makes me angry as heck. My wife won't sleep
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: with me unless how I show her my bank statements.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: It seems like I got fifteen years of manage when
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: my wife has turned into a gold digger. Dog. See,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: you're attaching terms to this woman. I understand the problem
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: you have. It you're saying you can't trust her with money,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: but you gotta fixed where she can't move the money,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: But now you don't want to show his that because
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: what's she gonna do? You think she's gonna spend more?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: And you think she had turned into a gold digger dog.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Just's been the same woman for fifteen years. That's why
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: y'all didn't had a several divorces, but her threatening you
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: with divorces because you won't show her the paperwork, which
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: makes her think as a woman, something else is happening.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Please help me figure this out. Am I doing something wrong? Yes?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: What's up with her? The question is who's up with y'all?
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: You don't trust her and she don't trust you. What
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: y'all manage? We are and this ain't gonna work, partner,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: and this really ain't got a damn thing to do
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: with money. Fifteen years. You don't trust her, You can't
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: count on her, and she thinks she don't trust you,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and she can't count on you. Unless y'all get real transparent,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: real quick, y'all ain't gonna make it, homie. Yeah all right, Steve,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: thank you post your comments on all this paperwork this
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: evening at Steve Harley, you over here this evening in
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this bed. Also check out the Strawberry Letter podcast. We
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: can read coming up to forty six after the hours
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: s I'm gonna be looking for a deposit. You're listening
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: to show? All right, So Junior is here today with
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: this is a comedy segment. You call Junior when dead?
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: What's that about? When did you know? We've been seeing
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: a lot of things that have been happening, but you
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: just don't know when it started? Like, for example, when
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: did kids get lucky? You go in front of you,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: all my drawls was in the same luggage with my grandmother,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: all my draws up against the Brazil. When the kids
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: getting luck? I don't know when it started. When did
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: people start wearing house shoes everywhere? I had church, somebody
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: stepped out their house shoes to get to the altar.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: And now when you leave your shoes out here in
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: church like that? When when did it happen? Like when
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: did vegans get so outspoken? What do you mean you
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: ain't never know who the hell wasn't vegan? That he
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: upsetting by everything you can't eat? That it had a mother?
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I don't can't vegans? Is I mean? When did all
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: this stuff starts? They speaking up? When did we just
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: never mind just wearing ripped jeans. Maybe used to get
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: your ass one for your jeans being damned by the jeans? Told?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Why am I looking at the range draws? Just? When
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: did that start? We just don't know when it happened.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: When people used to borrow money? Now, ain't cash h happen? Yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: but dinner? He didn't the ass Remember I can our
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: borrow was important? Yes, they don't do that. No more,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: they don't do none of that. When did big guys
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: just start showing their stomach with no results? You know
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: they don't. They don't care, no remorse. They just the
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: stomach just out matter of fact? When did women just
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: start wearing their stomach so hot? When did all of
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: this happened? When? When did white kids get comfortable with
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: saying the N words the black kids? When did that start?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: When did we start knocking our kids? When did that stop?
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Because my nephew is sitting up here making fls at school.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: We ain't been school a week. When did this start?
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Just when did it happen? We just don't know. We
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: have to figure out when did that happened? That's when
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: we start thinking about it. Stuff stuff changed? M hm, No, No,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: when did it happen? Wow, I'll tell you another profile. Okay,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: here's one that that everybody knows. This is something we
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: don't even know when they started. But remember when when
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: did when a jogging suit? Member? When when it meant
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: you was going jogging? Oh? Yeah, not people wearing jockon
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: sus a jogging? No, damn what you're talking about me?
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: That used to mean something you got on the jogging suit.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I can assume your ask was going jock na, na, na,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: you're asking drive throughs. You You ain't doing nothing. We're
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: walking in it, sleeping right now. I'm just at work now,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I'm in one right now. You're listening. All right, guys,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: here's a question for you. Is it possible to be
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: too tired to go to sleep? Uh? It's perfectly possible
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: to feel tired and at the same time have trouble
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: dozing off. Certain life stress, us and health problems can
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: leave us feeling exhausted, but at the same time make
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: it difficult to relax and go to sleep. Also, missing
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: out on sleep can just erupt our natural rhythms, which
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: can make us feel wide awake when we'd usually be sleeping.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: So here's the question. Have you ever been too tired
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: to sleep. I've heard people say that before. I'm I
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: was so tired I couldn't even sleep. What do you
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: think cause that? Well, I know for a fact you
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: can be tired and not be sleepy. And then sometimes man,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you can. You I've done myself like that many times.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I just pushed myself to the edge and then it's
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: so much adrenaline that it takes a while for the
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: adrenaline to go because you've just been exerting yourself. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: you know, and then that adrenaline is flowing and you
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: up in your hype because man, it's sometimes, like Tommy
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Junior tell you, after the show is kind of hard.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to set excited. Yeah you're tired. Yeah,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: just yeah, done a show, is right? So you just
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: sitting in the morning, yeah, just looking around? So what
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: do you do in that case when you know you
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: have to get some rest? Passed the bags all missed
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: this flight? Is what I do? And you sleep on
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: the plane. Yeah, I try to get to sleep on
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the plane. I love sleeping on the plane. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: But Steve, when you're not too tired and you're getting
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: and you look forward to that sleep, And how do
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: you boy? Good sleep? You know you about tom I'm
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I'm talking about when I know I'm sleeping like you know,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: like I'll be talking to somebody and be looking dead
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: at their ass. But don't but don't be listening, right,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: but be rocking back and forth just a little bit,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: you know, but not side to side, back and forth
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: like closer to him, fall away, close to him, fall away,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: and just be walking like that so it don't look
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: because you don't want to rock side to side because
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that throw people off. But when you rock towards them,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: that just lures them in. And be just talking and
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I don't be hearing nothing. They say, I've shut my
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: eyes completely. While somebody was talking at lady one time
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: at this meeting, she was talking and I was just
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: looking at how rocking I fell asleep. She said, are
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: you okay? I'm fine? You right? What's wrong with you? See?
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I really think you hold the record of getting on
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the plane and falling asleep the fastest. Yeah, don't give it,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: put that belt on. Yeah, but I go to sleep
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: on the plane and the heartbeat, I don't guess you
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: will on the plane. Oh no, no, no, no, no no,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: no no, no, said the entertainer's boy KB kp KB.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: KB snorts. We just on the plane with time king
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to him. KB was snoring so loud. The white dude
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: next to him said, hey, are you serious? Are you
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: really serious? So k KB said, hey, man, my bad,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: but I do snore. So KABY went back in again.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Now we crossed the aisle, KB snowing so loud. We're
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: on the other side of the aisle me and said,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: just holly. The white dude said, oh my god, for
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: crying out loud, mister, can you please sit up KB?
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Tell me KB sayd hey man, I just told you
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I snore, So listen to this right here. If you
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: wake me up one moment, you ain't gonna believe what
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: else I do really loud too, causin my ass whip
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: the skills is just as loud as my soul source
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: back over there, and ten minutes later, k B, we're
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: ripping you went in again. That dude got up out
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: of first class and went back in coach and set down. Wow.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: All right, coming up more of today's trending stories on
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: We'll be right back you're listening to show. So scientists
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: say it takes about twenty one days or twenty one
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: days exactly to build a habit. So if you're planning
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: to to make a New Year's resolution for next year
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: and stick to it, you should start your resolution now,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: that's what the scientists are saying. Then by the beginning
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: of the new year, you will already be in the
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: new habit. You know, have that new habit, It'll be underway,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: and you'll be more likely to keep it. That's why
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I guess that's why a lot of people drop off
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: after they make those resolutions. They don't keep them because
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: they're not in the habit of doing it. So start now,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: according to scientists. So, Steve, have you thought about your
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: New Year's resolutions? Are you making any for next year?
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I stopped doing over years ago because you didn't. You
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: didn't stick to him. Is that why you stopped? No,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I just decided whenever I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: do it now. I went to New York Knew Year
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: to do nothing. Okay, I gotta get healthy. I gotta
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: get healthy now. I ain't got no. Yeah, so you
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: kind of ain't keeping with what the scientists are saying, Man, well,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: I don't know he scientists. I know he's not a
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: scientist telling it real scientists though, sci E n T
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I s T. Yeah, Steve very good. Don't don't ask me,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: just spell nothing that's got to do with science. You
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: just got the subject. I'm good. Yeah, I don't worry
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: about symbols and stuff they got or the periodic table.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Ask me to coming up, we'll play around. If would
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: you rather? In thirty three minutes after the hour, that's
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show time for would you rather?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Would you rather eat rotten eggs or drink sour milk? Yeah?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: You can all that up. Man, I'm gonna go with
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: that sour milk. That's that's close to butter milk. Yeah, okay, yeah,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: my sister would take that. That rotten egg you got
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: problem thought? Ye come on, junior, what you got Yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the sour milk. I can't. I've
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: had bad milk before. I poured it on sealed before
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: and knew it was sour. But that's all that's all
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: you had had it, And I'd be damn if I
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: was gonna my crazy daddy see me rank that in
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: the train. Who oh you're throwing away food now? Who
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: oh you're buying groceries? You got money? Okay, all right,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: moving on? Do we hear from the nephew? No? No,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: you did, and move on? No pick one. I tell you,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I guess something. I gotta follow them because I don't
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: want the egg. I gotta go with the milk. Anyway
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: it is, I'm going to throw up on you, all right.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Would you rather date someone with their ex's name tattooed
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: on their chest or date someone who's ex lives next door?
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Would you rather date someone that has their ex's name
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: tattooed on their chest? Or would you rather date someone
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: who who X lives next door? I'm going with the chest.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna see you from behind more than I am
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: going from the front. Anyway. Wow, wow, Wow, are you
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: sleepy because you just off wowing off? You asked me,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: think about your answers. Yeah, I'm just going I'm not
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: pulling up every day and he right there into a fight.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Tell my Lawrence, Net Lawrence, Yeah, Floyd, Floyd, stay right
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: next door. No, you can have that tattoo. I just
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I just I just missed you. I probably missread it anyway,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you know, I getting a wrong anyway? All right? One more?
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: One more? Would you rather get stuck in an elevator
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: with your ex or with your partner and their X? No,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: I don't go with the partner. Get I'd rather get
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: stuck in there with my partner and her. I will
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: hook We can do that at least we get some
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: of what you say, Junior say, I'm went on. I'd
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: rather do that, okay, okay, all right, nephew in the
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: elevator or with your partner in their EX. Come on,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: don't be difficult elevator? What's your ex? You're scared? Really?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Coming up? Forty nine minutes after the last break of
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: the day and some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: a least Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. All right, here we are, last break
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: of the day. It's been a good day as usual. Yeah,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: it's been fun. Yeah, you're all right, Steve? Did you
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: because we started the show off talking about attention? Well,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: you know, it's in one of those days for me.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I will admit that so far, but it's gonna get better.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I always keep my head up, you know, which could
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: lead into these closing remark because I might as well
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: talk about something that I was dealing with. Every morning,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I have a little meditation that I do with daily
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: inspiration that I read my Bible and a journal that
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I take notes in, and I started it doing this
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: taking these notes to first and I have notes for
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: practically every single day. I've only missed like three days
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: from taking notes, just three. And so it's something I've
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: learned to do, and it starts my day off a really,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: really well because it gives me a weaponry till God
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: against the evil principalities of the world. You know, there's
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: so much stimulation out here with social media and technology
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: and cyberspace and own calls and messages and texts that
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you know, even if you're having a great day of
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: so much stuff out there that can throw you off
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: if you're not, if you haven't stabilized yourself spiritually. And Sunday,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: when I woke up, I was I was just about
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: to open up my journal and my daily inspiration, but
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: I had left the TV on the night four in
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: the living room, and so I went into the living
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: room and I was about to sit out with my
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: books and I said, man, let me, let me cut
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: this TV off. And I went over there and I
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: hit it. It didn't go off for some reason, and
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I said, man, what's the deal? And I tried to
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: hit it and didn't go off, and I just hit
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: the channel and I hit the channel one time. I
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: hit the channel one time and up pops Joel Oldstein.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: And so I was instead of me opening up my
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: journal in my daily inspiration, I sat down and cut
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: cut the volume up. I went, Okay, this must be
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: for me. Maybe he wants me to get this, And
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: oh my god, oh my goodness, was he correct. Now
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I can't tell you exactly what he said, so I'm
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: a paraphrase it a bit. He was talking about people
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: who were have given up on their dreams. Now that
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: didn't apply to me, but he said, this is for
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: people who've given up on your dreams. This is for
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: people who've been waiting on something for God for a
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: while and it hasn't gotten there yet, and you're starting
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: to feel like maybe it ain't for you all you're
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: thinking about giving up on it. I wasn't quite in
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: that part of it, but I've been a little discouraged
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: about the fact that something I had been wanting for
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a while, hadn't happened. A lot of people fall into
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: that bracket. But a lot of people have falling into
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: the they waited so long, they just decided it wasn't
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: for them, and they stopped, or they gave up on
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: their dreams and their visions. And he was talking about
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: He said, what you don't realize is that when you
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: ask God for something, that God is working on it
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: behind the scenes. He's doing some stuff in orchestrating some stuff,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and putting some stuff into play for you that you
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: may very well not even be aware of. But if
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you give up hope, if you stop looking for it,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: if you lose the faith, you then stop the process.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Because God don't give you what you want all the time.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: He gives you what you believe all the time. See,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: you don't always get what you want because what you
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: want may not be best for you or something like that.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: But if you believe God to give you something and
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: He has it for you, he's going to give it
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to you. But some people just give up hoping for
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: it looking for it. He said, if you've gotten at
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: the point in your life where you've given up on
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: your dreams, or you think it ain't coming and you're
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: starting to fade. He said, I want you to do something.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: He said, I want you to look again. And that
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: caught my attention. He said, I want you to look again.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: He said. If you look again and you don't see
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: the blessing coming, or you don't see the blessing right there,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: he said, I want you to look again, he said
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in it. If you still don't see it, he said,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: listen to me real close. I want you to look again.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And that was the thing that I needed to hear yesterday,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: because sometimes, y'all, when you ask God for something that
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: it don't come in the time frame that you want
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: it to come in, you got to stay patient, You
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: got to stay watchful, and you got to do like
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Joel Olstein said, you got to look again. And if
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you look over there and you still don't see it,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: stay patient, but look again. And man on, man on, man,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: I can't tell you how I needed that yesterday. I
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: can't tell you how I need it today. I can't
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: tell you how often I need that because so many times, man,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: so many things go counter to the way you wanted
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: to go or what you thought it was gonna be.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: That you end up and you start feeling just a
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: little bit discouraged. Sometimes you just flat out I can't
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: take it no more and I quit. But I very
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: rarely get that way, but I do get I'm human,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you know, so I get moments when I'm man, this
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: is exhausting because what I'm attempting to do is exhausting.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: What you're attempting to do or become, or the point
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: you're trying to get to, it's exhausting. But if you
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: exhausted and you don't feel like it's happening fast enough,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: do like Joel Oldstein said, y'all, look again, just look again.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: He's probably doing something on your behalf that you're not
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: aware of. Those are my closing remarks that really helped me.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: So you know what I'm doing right now, I'm looking
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: at I'm looking again, y'all. Have a great weekend. I'm no,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: y'all have a great weekend for all. Steve Every contests
