- 0:00Speaker 1: Just days away from the midterm elections, and there's a
- 0:04Speaker 1: very good chance there could be a big red wave
- 0:07Speaker 1: because of new poll numbers that have come out. Welcome
- 0:10Speaker 1: to verdict with Ted Cruz, Senator. These poll numbers have
- 0:14Speaker 1: come out and it is really good for Republican candidates.
- 0:20Speaker 1: There's a very interesting article in the National Review about
- 0:22Speaker 1: the media's quote delusional midterm coverage. They're doing everything they
- 0:28Speaker 1: can to overlook the gallop new poll which finds at
- 0:31Speaker 1: the public assessment of the US economy and national satisfaction
- 0:35Speaker 1: are the lowest they have measured at the time of
- 0:39Speaker 1: a midterm election. This means I think a red wave
- 0:43Speaker 1: could becoming in a very very big way all over
- 0:46Speaker 1: the country. Well, Ben, I think that's exactly right. I
- 0:49Speaker 1: expect on election Day an historic election. I've been saying
- 0:52Speaker 1: for some time. I think Republicans are going to take
- 0:54Speaker 1: both houses of Congress. I think we're going to take
- 0:57Speaker 1: the House, and the majority could be as big as
- 0:59Speaker 1: thirty four forty fifty seats. I think it will be
- 1:02Speaker 1: on the order of magnitude of two thousand and ten.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The Senate, I think we're likely to take fifty three
- 1:09Speaker 1: or fifty four seats, which which would be a very
- 1:12Speaker 1: very strong pickup. One of the inditia that it's going
- 1:17Speaker 1: to be a great Republican year is the corporate media
- 1:21Speaker 1: is in a panic right now. They are spinning to
- 1:23Speaker 1: their heart's delight, desperately trying to change the topic. The
- 1:28Speaker 1: Gallop polls that came out this week. Let me let
- 1:30Speaker 1: me read from Gallop and this is a quote, the
- 1:33Speaker 1: Democrats are especially vulnerable this year because the national mood
- 1:37Speaker 1: is as bad, if not worse, than it has been
- 1:41Speaker 1: in any recent midterm election year. And Gallop continues quote.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Heading into election day, forty percent of Americans approve of
- 1:50Speaker 1: the job Joe Biden is doing as president, seventeen percent
- 1:54Speaker 1: are satisfied with the way things are going in the US,
- 1:57Speaker 1: Forty nine percent describe the health of the economy is poor,
- 2:02Speaker 1: compared with fourteen percent saying it is excellent or good,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and twenty one percent approve of the job the democratically
- 2:09Speaker 1: led Congress is doing. Current ratings of the US economy
- 2:13Speaker 1: and national satisfaction are the lowest Gallup has measured at
- 2:18Speaker 1: the time of the midterm election over the life of
- 2:22Speaker 1: these polling trends starting in nineteen ninety four and nineteen
- 2:27Speaker 1: eighty two, respectively, Congressional and presidential job approval are near
- 2:32Speaker 1: their historic low marks. That suggests a very bad election
- 2:38Speaker 1: for Democrats and a very very good election for Republicans.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Senator I want to go into the media and how
- 2:44Speaker 1: they're covering this, but before we get to that, I
- 2:46Speaker 1: want to tell everybody about our amazing sponsor, Patriot Mobile.
- 2:49Speaker 1: If you've got a cell phone, and nine nine percent
- 2:51Speaker 1: of Americans do, how would you like to know that
- 2:54Speaker 1: with every phone call you make, you're supporting conservative causes.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Well that's what Patriot Mobile does. And they use the
- 3:00Speaker 1: same cell towers that you're on right now, meaning you
- 3:03Speaker 1: get the same exact coverage that you're getting right now.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile is America's only Christian conservative mobile phone provider.
- 3:12Speaker 1: They are a force for conservative values. Why because they
- 3:15Speaker 1: take a portion of every bill that you pay, and
- 3:18Speaker 1: they find conservative causes, candidates and organizations that believe in
- 3:22Speaker 1: the sanctity of life, freedom of speech, and the Second Amendment,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and they're winning. If you're ready to have your dollars
- 3:30Speaker 1: matter when you're paying a bill, switch to Patriot Mobile.
- 3:34Speaker 1: They can save you money over what you're paying right now.
- 3:37Speaker 1: They can save you and your family money, and they
- 3:40Speaker 1: even can save your business or small business money because
- 3:43Speaker 1: they have an entire section of the business that's just
- 3:45Speaker 1: dedicated to businesses. They offer the same nation wide coverage
- 3:49Speaker 1: as all the other major carriers, but the difference is
- 3:52Speaker 1: you actually get to stand up for what you believe
- 3:55Speaker 1: in every time you pay that bill. So go online
- 3:58Speaker 1: a Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict, Patriot Mobile dot
- 4:04Speaker 1: com slash verdict. You'll get free activation and other major
- 4:08Speaker 1: offers and you can call them nine seven to Patriot.
- 4:12Speaker 1: That's nine seven to Patriot, use the promo code verdict.
- 4:17Speaker 1: You know, you look at the media and how they're
- 4:19Speaker 1: covering this, and they went through the top election issues
- 4:23Speaker 1: and center. I want to go through each one of
- 4:24Speaker 1: these one by one and you explain to everybody listening
- 4:29Speaker 1: why this is connecting with voters. And I'll say this
- 4:31Speaker 1: real quick for everybody listening, please make sure you support
- 4:35Speaker 1: us by hitting that share button right now. Share this
- 4:37Speaker 1: podcast wherever you're hearing it. Also write us a five
- 4:41Speaker 1: star review that helps us reach more people on the
- 4:44Speaker 1: podcasting charts. And one of the things Centator that I
- 4:48Speaker 1: think is and it's the number one issue. It goes
- 4:50Speaker 1: back to Ronald Reagan. It's the economy, stupid. Forty nine
- 4:55Speaker 1: percent of responding say the economy is the number one issue,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and when asked who they believe can fix the problem
- 5:01Speaker 1: with the economy center there is a massive lead for
- 5:04Speaker 1: Republicans with thirty one percent advantage over the Democrats on
- 5:09Speaker 1: the economy. Well, that's right, and consistently this year, three
- 5:14Speaker 1: issues have topped the priorities for the voters. The number
- 5:17Speaker 1: one issue has been inflation and in particular gas prices.
- 5:21Speaker 1: The number two issue nationally has been crime, and the
- 5:24Speaker 1: number three issue consistently has been illegal immigration. If you
- 5:28Speaker 1: look at those three issues number one, all of them
- 5:30Speaker 1: have gotten much much worse over the last two years.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Even someone not paying attention, it's not confusing that before
- 5:41Speaker 1: Joe Biden was president, gas was two dollars and thirty
- 5:44Speaker 1: eight cents a gallon, and today in a lot of
- 5:47Speaker 1: places it's four or five dollars a gallon. It's gotten
- 5:49Speaker 1: as high as six and seven dollars a gallon. That
- 5:52Speaker 1: people feel every time they fill up their car, every
- 5:55Speaker 1: time they fill up their truck, they look at the
- 5:57Speaker 1: numbers and wait a second, This isn't a two digit number,
- 6:00Speaker 1: it's a three digit number. That is real crime. People
- 6:04Speaker 1: are saying crime everywhere, in every major city, crime is skyrocketing.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And the Democrats have leaned in on this. This is
- 6:12Speaker 1: the party that embraced Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots
- 6:16Speaker 1: across the country. This is a party that thought it
- 6:18Speaker 1: was a great idea to lean in on demonizing the police,
- 6:22Speaker 1: advocating for abolishing the police, defunding the police. And I'll
- 6:25Speaker 1: tell you a lot of people they get that that
- 6:28Speaker 1: really doesn't make any sense. And when you have these
- 6:32Speaker 1: Democrats advancing things like cash less Vale, basically, you arrest
- 6:36Speaker 1: a violent criminal, let's let them go. Well, people are
- 6:39Speaker 1: discovering that when you let violent criminals go, they commit
- 6:42Speaker 1: more violent crimes. And then illegal immigration. Again, there's no
- 6:46Speaker 1: ambiguity on who is to blame for illegal immigration. The
- 6:50Speaker 1: last year of Trump's presidency, we had the lowest rate
- 6:53Speaker 1: of illegal immigration in forty five years. Today we have
- 6:57Speaker 1: the highest rate of illegal immigration in sixty two two years.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That change literally the day Joe Biden put his hand
- 7:04Speaker 1: on the Bible and Ben, I'll tell you tell you
- 7:07Speaker 1: that the differences are moving voters, not just reliable traditional
- 7:12Speaker 1: Republican voters, but new voters are shifting dramatically to Republicans.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Let me read from the Wall Street Journal quote. The
- 7:19Speaker 1: GOP has seen a shift in its favor among several
- 7:22Speaker 1: voter groups, including Latino voters and women, and particularly white
- 7:28Speaker 1: suburban women. That group, which the poster said makes up
- 7:32Speaker 1: twenty percent of the electorate, shifted twenty six percentage points
- 7:37Speaker 1: away from Democrats since the Journal's August pole and now
- 7:42Speaker 1: favors the GOP by fifteen percentage points. If you want
- 7:46Speaker 1: to do some real simple math, over the last decade,
- 7:49Speaker 1: blue collar voters have moved significantly towards Republicans, and what
- 7:54Speaker 1: gave Democrats a counterbalancing fourth force was suburban women move
- 8:00Speaker 1: towards Democrats. What Joe Biden and Schumer and Pelosi have
- 8:04Speaker 1: done is driven suburban women back to Republicans, and they've
- 8:09Speaker 1: done so at the same time they're driving Hispanics to
- 8:13Speaker 1: Republicans as well. I think that all adds together to
- 8:16Speaker 1: an historic election. There's something shocking that's happening as well, Senator,
- 8:21Speaker 1: and that is the media is being forced to cover
- 8:24Speaker 1: how bad things are in the economy and the recession
- 8:27Speaker 1: concerns a mid high inflation that today's show, and again
- 8:32Speaker 1: they won't connect the dots to the Democrats. But they
- 8:35Speaker 1: did a segment this morning on gas prices and they
- 8:39Speaker 1: referred to Americans being quote trapped in a vortex of
- 8:43Speaker 1: bad economic news. Listen to this, and then I want
- 8:47Speaker 1: to get your reaction. This morning, America seems trapped in
- 8:51Speaker 1: a vortex of bad economic news. Sky high food prices,
- 8:55Speaker 1: pump prices at record levels, soaring rents of sixteen percent
- 8:59Speaker 1: in one year, COVID lockdowns in China, the world's manufacturing center,
- 9:03Speaker 1: choking the global supply chain, US corporate profits, sinking Russian
- 9:07Speaker 1: oil under partial embargo, Ukrainian wheat exports at a standstill,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and all of it feeding forty year high inflation that
- 9:14Speaker 1: Americans are paying for every day on the front lines,
- 9:18Speaker 1: shippers and truck drivers with diesel fuel prices up seventy
- 9:22Speaker 1: five percent in one year. In Indiana, Shelley Conaway is
- 9:25Speaker 1: a full time truck driver who also runs a charity
- 9:28Speaker 1: to rush supplies to those Indeed, we are looking yet
- 9:32Speaker 1: possibly eying trailers in the truck another true, but we
- 9:39Speaker 1: won't be able to afford to the tires on it.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I mean, center, you hear this. This isn't the Today's
- 9:47Speaker 1: Show saying this talking about fuel prices up, but deesel
- 9:51Speaker 1: up seventy five This coming as there's new warnings on
- 9:55Speaker 1: a shortage. US diesel suppliers are quote warning businesses to
- 9:58Speaker 1: prepare for shortages higher prices for consumers. They believe that
- 10:04Speaker 1: the price of a gallon of diesel could go to
- 10:06Speaker 1: eight to ten hours a gallon, possibly by the end
- 10:09Speaker 1: of the year. Well, look, anytime the Today's Show is
- 10:15Speaker 1: leading with a quote a vortex of bad economic results,
- 10:20Speaker 1: that's not exactly the reelection campaign the Demo Democrats want.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And part of the problem is they're in charge of everything.
- 10:27Speaker 1: The Democrats have the White House, they have every cabinet agency,
- 10:31Speaker 1: they have the Senate, they have the House, They've got
- 10:34Speaker 1: the entirety of the federal government. That means their usual
- 10:38Speaker 1: trick when they screw things up is to try to
- 10:40Speaker 1: blame Republicans. It's really hard to do that when they've
- 10:45Speaker 1: been in complete charge. And even again, look for people
- 10:49Speaker 1: following it, it's obvious this has been a devastating two
- 10:53Speaker 1: years in terms of bad legislation and bad policies. But
- 10:57Speaker 1: for people not following it. And often elections are influenced
- 11:00Speaker 1: by people who are living their lives not paying attention
- 11:02Speaker 1: to politics, and then come election day they come out
- 11:05Speaker 1: and vote even for someone not paying attention. It ain't
- 11:09Speaker 1: complicated that life has gotten a lot crappier with Democrats
- 11:13Speaker 1: in charge. And the sentiment that is being expressed all
- 11:17Speaker 1: over the country is we want change. We want to
- 11:19Speaker 1: change the road we're on. We don't like being afraid
- 11:25Speaker 1: to walk down the street, being afraid that you might
- 11:28Speaker 1: be mugged, even for those who aren't paying attention. And
- 11:31Speaker 1: I think you combine that with the economic reality and
- 11:34Speaker 1: also the utter chaos of illegal immigration four point four
- 11:38Speaker 1: million people, which in turn is also driving the crime rate.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Many of these crimes that are carried out are being
- 11:44Speaker 1: carried out by illegal immigrants. You remember a few weeks ago,
- 11:48Speaker 1: the day the bus tour was in Vegas, there was
- 11:51Speaker 1: a lunatic who at eleven in the morning committed a
- 11:54Speaker 1: mass stabbing in front of one of the major hotels
- 11:57Speaker 1: on the Strip. Now, look, you know Vegas tries to
- 12:00Speaker 1: to market itself as a family friendly vacation place. If
- 12:04Speaker 1: there are mass stabbings, not at three in the morning
- 12:07Speaker 1: by some drunk in a CD bar, but at eleven
- 12:10Speaker 1: am standing on the sidewalk in front of a major
- 12:14Speaker 1: glitzie hotel. That is a problem. And of course the
- 12:18Speaker 1: criminal there was yet another illegal alien who'd been released
- 12:22Speaker 1: from jail by the Democrats. This pattern keeps playing out,
- 12:26Speaker 1: Senator when it comes to the issue of crime, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: this is something we're seeing not only at the border,
- 12:31Speaker 1: but we're seeing it all across the country. Latino voters
- 12:35Speaker 1: are now breaking for Conservatives in a historic way, which
- 12:39Speaker 1: can certainly add to this red wave that I believe
- 12:42Speaker 1: we're going to see an election day. New York City,
- 12:45Speaker 1: for example, Latino grocers there actually came together on Monday
- 12:50Speaker 1: night last minute to raise seventy thousand dollars for Leezeldon
- 12:55Speaker 1: after historically voting for Democrat and this coalition a mainly
- 13:00Speaker 1: Tino supermarket owners in New York City showed up to
- 13:04Speaker 1: support the Republican Gubmentori Kennet Leezelden after having endured what
- 13:08Speaker 1: they described as rampant shoplifting. Now why did this happen?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Because in New York if you if you steal less
- 13:14Speaker 1: than a thousand dollars of goods and that's a lot
- 13:16Speaker 1: of groceries. You're not gonna go to jail. You're gonna
- 13:20Speaker 1: maybe get caught and then you'll have a court date,
- 13:22Speaker 1: but you will not spend a single night in jail.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And seventy entrepreneurs operating mom and pop supermarkets met together
- 13:31Speaker 1: gave a thousand dollars each Zelden's campaign, saying they will
- 13:34Speaker 1: not be able to survive if the criminals are continued
- 13:39Speaker 1: to allow to target grocers and just walk in and
- 13:42Speaker 1: steal whatever the hell they want. Well, look, that's exactly right,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and it's not just shoplifting, although shoplifting and theft under
- 13:49Speaker 1: Democrats has gotten worse and worse. But but we all
- 13:51Speaker 1: remember the bodego owner in New York who a criminal
- 13:55Speaker 1: came in to rob him and was trying to rob him,
- 13:59Speaker 1: and the owner defended himself, and the DA in turn
- 14:03Speaker 1: charged the bodego owner with defending himself. They treated him
- 14:07Speaker 1: as the criminal because he defended himself from an armed robber.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Now that now that is a little bit crazy. In fact,
- 14:13Speaker 1: that's a lot crazy. But it also you combine policies
- 14:18Speaker 1: that are really hurting people across the country with the
- 14:22Speaker 1: Democrats are so wildly out of touch with the Hispanic community.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Remember Jill Biden gave a speech in San Antonio, number one,
- 14:31Speaker 1: in front of a conference that was called a Latin
- 14:33Speaker 1: X conference. And I'll tell you right now here's a
- 14:35Speaker 1: real great giveaway. If anyone uses the idiotic, made up
- 14:38Speaker 1: word latin X, I promise you they are not Latino.
- 14:42Speaker 1: They are awoke, white liberal because that's the only people
- 14:46Speaker 1: who use it. Literally, if you look at the Spanish language,
- 14:49Speaker 1: everything in the Spanish language is either masculine or feminate.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It ends with an er in a the entire language.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And what are these folks do? They want to edit
- 14:57Speaker 1: it out? And Jill Biden famous number one, she didn't
- 15:01Speaker 1: know what a bodega was. She called it a bogata,
- 15:04Speaker 1: which I'm not sure what is. Maybe maybe it's the
- 15:07Speaker 1: capital of Columbia. And and that's also where she famously
- 15:12Speaker 1: referred to Hispanic said said that that you are as
- 15:16Speaker 1: unique as breakfast tacos. And I gotta tell you, people
- 15:20Speaker 1: heard that and we're pissed. And what's amazing, Ben, that
- 15:25Speaker 1: was not an off the cuff gaff Listen, Joe Biden
- 15:28Speaker 1: makes gaffs every day because who knows what he's gonna say.
- 15:31Speaker 1: She was reading from a teleprompter. That means a White
- 15:35Speaker 1: House speechwriter type that out and loaded it into the teleprompter.
- 15:40Speaker 1: And they are that out of touch. Their attitude to
- 15:43Speaker 1: Latinos is vote for us and shut up. And I
- 15:48Speaker 1: gotta say, I think we're gonna see a huge shift.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I've talked about this a lot. I think, in particular,
- 15:53Speaker 1: South Texas is going to turn red. We are going
- 15:56Speaker 1: to elect three Republicans in South Texas, all three of
- 16:01Speaker 1: whom are Latina, all three of whom I'm supporting in
- 16:04Speaker 1: a big, big way. Have done multiple rallies for them.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm getting ready to do a big rally in San
- 16:09Speaker 1: Antonio in a few days for them, and I think
- 16:12Speaker 1: we're going to end up those districts. All right, let's
- 16:16Speaker 1: start with the special election. Remember a couple of months ago,
- 16:18Speaker 1: there was a special election in Texas. It is for
- 16:21Speaker 1: a district that is along the Gulf Coast. It runs
- 16:25Speaker 1: from just south of Corpus Christie all the way down
- 16:29Speaker 1: to Brownsville, which is the southern tip of Texas right
- 16:31Speaker 1: on the border of Mexico. This is a district that
- 16:34Speaker 1: has not had a Republican represented since eighteen seventy one.
- 16:40Speaker 1: That's a long damn time ago. It's incredible. They had
- 16:43Speaker 1: a special election. The voters elected Mira Flores, a Republican.
- 16:49Speaker 1: She is the first woman elected to Congress who was
- 16:52Speaker 1: actually born in Mexico. And by the way, she applied
- 16:55Speaker 1: to be a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and
- 16:58Speaker 1: the Democrats rejected her. They said, no, no, if you're
- 17:01Speaker 1: not Democrat, you don't count as Hispanic. So they threw
- 17:04Speaker 1: her out. They said you're not welcome. Myra is fantastic.
- 17:11Speaker 1: The district next to her, Monica Dela Cruz, is running.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Monica is fantastic. She's a single mom, she's a small
- 17:17Speaker 1: business owner. Is two years ago, she ran in that
- 17:22Speaker 1: district and came within two points of beating the incumbent Democrat,
- 17:27Speaker 1: and she had no money and no support whatsoever. I
- 17:29Speaker 1: think Monica is going to win this year. The next
- 17:32Speaker 1: district is Cassie Garcia. Cassie is someone I know incredibly well.
- 17:36Speaker 1: She was on my staff for over seven years. She
- 17:40Speaker 1: was my South Texas director and my deputy state director.
- 17:43Speaker 1: She's running against Henry quay Are, the incumbent Democrat. I
- 17:46Speaker 1: think all three are gonna win, and you're gonna end
- 17:49Speaker 1: up with those three districts. None of them have had
- 17:52Speaker 1: a Republican in over one hundred years. I think all
- 17:55Speaker 1: three of them are going to elect Republicans. They're all Latinas,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and two the three, my run Cassie, are both married
- 18:03Speaker 1: to Border patrol agents. That is a big, big deal.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It is a generational shift, and I think it's going
- 18:12Speaker 1: to change not just Washington, but change the Republican Party.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You mentioned this change, and part of this is just safety. Right.
- 18:22Speaker 1: The economy is stumbling. You have interest rates that have
- 18:25Speaker 1: more than doubled on home interest rates sort of your
- 18:28Speaker 1: mortgage since the beginning of the year. The real attors
- 18:32Speaker 1: that I have spoken with in bankers that I've talked
- 18:34Speaker 1: to have said that this is just shell shocking what
- 18:37Speaker 1: it's changed, how quickly it's changed. And to put it
- 18:39Speaker 1: in perspective, this was a tweet that when viral it said,
- 18:42Speaker 1: this is crazy. If you secured a thirty year fixed
- 18:45Speaker 1: mortgage on a six hundred thousand dollars home at two
- 18:48Speaker 1: point six percent interest rate in twenty twenty one, you
- 18:51Speaker 1: have the same monthly mortgage payment as someone that just
- 18:54Speaker 1: bought a house for three hundred ninety two thousand dollars
- 18:57Speaker 1: today with a six point two percent interest rate. I mean,
- 19:00Speaker 1: Senator this, there's two hundred plus thousand of buying power
- 19:02Speaker 1: that disappeared in the market if you use that example,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and Democrats keep looking at you, keep trying to tell
- 19:09Speaker 1: you that the economy is in good shape, that we're
- 19:12Speaker 1: not in a recession, when we obviously are headed towards
- 19:16Speaker 1: a recession, and now this is affecting the American dream. Well,
- 19:21Speaker 1: you know, there was an old line that Reagan used
- 19:24Speaker 1: where he said, a recession is when your neighbor loses
- 19:29Speaker 1: his job, a depression is when you lose your job,
- 19:34Speaker 1: and a recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his job.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And I got to say that resonated. The last time
- 19:43Speaker 1: we faced inflation this high was a result of Jimmy
- 19:47Speaker 1: Carter's disastrous policies, and it produced the Reagan Revolution. I
- 19:52Speaker 1: believe that the greatest outcome of Biden and Harris and
- 19:57Speaker 1: Schumer and Pelosi is going to be a new Reagan Revolution,
- 20:01Speaker 1: a new generation of Conservatives coming into office. And I
- 20:04Speaker 1: got to say, on the economic piece, there's a double
- 20:07Speaker 1: whammy here that most folks in the news don't focus
- 20:10Speaker 1: on it. So yes, prices of everything have gone up,
- 20:13Speaker 1: prices of food, electricity, rent, mortgage, everything's gone up, gasoling.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But at the same time, and you touched on her
- 20:20Speaker 1: a minute ago with your mortgage example, your savings and
- 20:24Speaker 1: assets have plummeted. Your four oh one K has plummeted.
- 20:28Speaker 1: The average nationally is thirty four thousand dollars. That means
- 20:31Speaker 1: for seniors, if you're retired, you've spent thirty forty years
- 20:35Speaker 1: saving and you've seen your four oh one k in
- 20:39Speaker 1: just two years under Joe Biden dropped twenty percent, twenty
- 20:43Speaker 1: five percent, thirty percent. A lot of seniors are scared. Look,
- 20:46Speaker 1: that's what you rely on. You know, my mom is
- 20:49Speaker 1: eighty seven. She looks at what is in her retirement
- 20:52Speaker 1: account and that's how she's paying her bills, and when
- 20:54Speaker 1: it goes down, it worries her. Or many people, their
- 21:01Speaker 1: single biggest asset, their single biggest source of savings is
- 21:05Speaker 1: their home. When mortgage rates skyrocket, it puts downward pressure
- 21:10Speaker 1: on real estate because people can't afford to buy new homes.
- 21:13Speaker 1: You're locked into a house. It not only reduces people's flexibility,
- 21:18Speaker 1: meaning you can't get out of a house if you
- 21:20Speaker 1: need to. It reduces the value of your underlying asset,
- 21:24Speaker 1: and so the combination of your savings are worth a
- 21:27Speaker 1: whole lot less and it costs a bunch more to
- 21:33Speaker 1: live every week. That combination is really vicious and it's
- 21:37Speaker 1: a big part of why people are so ticked off
- 21:39Speaker 1: and ready to throw the bums out, Which brings me
- 21:43Speaker 1: to the issue of the delusion with the media, And
- 21:46Speaker 1: I do believe that the media is totally delusional right
- 21:48Speaker 1: now trying to save the Democrats ahead the midterms. Even
- 21:52Speaker 1: on CNN, Kursen Powers had this to say this morning
- 21:57Speaker 1: about crime and the Democrats, and Senator You're gonna want
- 22:02Speaker 1: to laugh because it is the most hysterical rewriting of history.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I fear works. I mean, if Democrat's done enough to
- 22:08Speaker 1: talk about that, No, I think they've been very They've
- 22:10Speaker 1: been caught flat footed on the crime issue. Because the
- 22:13Speaker 1: crime issue isn't something that's just happening in democratic states.
- 22:17Speaker 1: In fact, is happening in Republican states. It's happening at
- 22:19Speaker 1: very high rates. And Democrats have a pretty good record
- 22:22Speaker 1: on crime, and yet they're not talking about it, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: they it's in the same way. There's a lot of
- 22:28Speaker 1: people in this country who believe the Democratic Party supported
- 22:31Speaker 1: defund the police, and they didn't do right, and they
- 22:33Speaker 1: just don't do a good enough job of explaining what
- 22:36Speaker 1: they believe, in part because they have a base that
- 22:39Speaker 1: you know, has opinions that actually does support defund the police,
- 22:43Speaker 1: or has different opinions, So they're kind of trying to
- 22:46Speaker 1: walk this line. But I do think that they should
- 22:48Speaker 1: have been more aggressive about it because it is something
- 22:51Speaker 1: that is a lot of people are very concerned about.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I mean, she says they should be more aggressive. Senator,
- 22:56Speaker 1: she actually looks you straight in the face and says
- 22:59Speaker 1: that the Democrat rants have a pretty good record on
- 23:01Speaker 1: crime and the Democratic Party didn't support defund the police.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Those are both live and they go unchecked. Yeah. Look,
- 23:09Speaker 1: it really is striking when the corporate media is upbraiding
- 23:12Speaker 1: the Democrats saying, look, we know how to lie, we're
- 23:15Speaker 1: lying for you. Why don't you lie as much as
- 23:18Speaker 1: we do? Her claim Now she has to acknowledge, well,
- 23:21Speaker 1: their base supports defunding the police. But what she doesn't
- 23:25Speaker 1: acknowledge is, Okay, defunding the police was not just a
- 23:28Speaker 1: bumper sticker. It's something these idiots did. In Minneapolis, they
- 23:33Speaker 1: slashed the funding for the police department. In New York City,
- 23:36Speaker 1: they cut the funding for the NYPD by over one
- 23:40Speaker 1: billion dollars. This is not theory, this is practice. In Austin, Texas,
- 23:46Speaker 1: they cut the funding for the police by over one
- 23:48Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million dollars. They've done this over and
- 23:52Speaker 1: over again. And by the way, it's not just the locals,
- 23:54Speaker 1: although the locals are a real problem. It is at
- 23:57Speaker 1: the national level. Joe Biden has nominated one, not to
- 24:01Speaker 1: three of the leading advocates of abolishing the police hold
- 24:05Speaker 1: three of the leading positions in the US Department of Justice.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I detail this in my new book Justice Corrupted, How
- 24:11Speaker 1: the Left is weaponized the legal system. I have an
- 24:14Speaker 1: entire chapter on this that walks through chapter and verse.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So Joe Biden nominated Vanita Gupta and Kirston Clark. Vanita
- 24:22Speaker 1: Gupta to be Associate Attorney General, the number three position
- 24:25Speaker 1: at the Department of Justice. Kirston Clark to be the
- 24:28Speaker 1: head of the Civil Rights Division, one of the very
- 24:30Speaker 1: top positions of the Department of Justice. Both of them
- 24:34Speaker 1: have been explicit repeated advocates for abolishing and defunding the police.
- 24:40Speaker 1: They've written about it, they testified in front of Congress
- 24:43Speaker 1: for it. And when Biden nominated two of the leading
- 24:46Speaker 1: advocates of defunding the police to senior DJ positions, every
- 24:51Speaker 1: single Democrat, all of them, voted to confirm both of them. Now,
- 24:56Speaker 1: you can't vote to put people in who are advocates
- 24:59Speaker 1: of radical policy season then claim, oh, I don't know
- 25:01Speaker 1: anything about the radical policies. And actually the third nominee
- 25:05Speaker 1: is one that deserves a little bit of focus. Rachel Rollins.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Now who is Rachel Rollins. Rachel Rollins was a George
- 25:11Speaker 1: Soros prosecutor. Soros has spent millions of dollars electing left
- 25:16Speaker 1: wing DA's and he understood, Look, if you want, they're
- 25:19Speaker 1: two ways to abolish the police. One as you go
- 25:22Speaker 1: after the cops, you'd take the cops off the street.
- 25:24Speaker 1: The other way as you take over the DA's office. Why.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Because if the DA refuses to prosecute the crime, it
- 25:32Speaker 1: doesn't really matter if the cops arrest the criminals or not.
- 25:35Speaker 1: If they arrest the criminals and then let them go
- 25:36Speaker 1: because the DA won't prosecute them, you've effectively abolished the police.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You've stopped the prevention of in the deterrence of crime.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Rachel Rollins was a SOROS DA in Suffolk, Massachusetts. When
- 25:49Speaker 1: she came in, she put out a list of fifteen
- 25:53Speaker 1: crimes that she said her prosecutors were not allowed to prosecute,
- 25:58Speaker 1: things like trespassing, things like drug possession, things like resisting arrest,
- 26:03Speaker 1: where her prosecutors were forbidden from prosecuting it, which means
- 26:07Speaker 1: if you want to take a swing at a cop
- 26:09Speaker 1: when he's arresting you in her jurisdiction, that is AOK. Well,
- 26:14Speaker 1: what happened. Joe Biden promptly nominated her to be the
- 26:19Speaker 1: United States Attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, that is,
- 26:23Speaker 1: the top federal prosecutor in the state of Massachusetts. We
- 26:28Speaker 1: had a vigorous battle in the Judiciary Committee, and in
- 26:30Speaker 1: the book Justice Corrupted, I walk through the arguments I
- 26:34Speaker 1: made on the Judiciary Committee, the speech I gave on
- 26:37Speaker 1: the Senate floor, walking through her record, chapter and verse.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Every single Democrat voted to confirm her. So when these
- 26:46Speaker 1: folks lie, as the journalists are doing and saying, oh
- 26:50Speaker 1: no, no no, no, we don't support defunding the police, well,
- 26:53Speaker 1: if you didn't, one of you could have mustered the
- 26:56Speaker 1: courage to say, let's not make the chief federal prosecutor
- 27:00Speaker 1: one who refuses to prosecute crime. But listen, the media
- 27:05Speaker 1: is an overdrive. I'll give you another quote from the
- 27:07Speaker 1: New York Times. On October twenty fifth, Nate Cone of
- 27:11Speaker 1: The New York Times wrote, quote, Let's imagine that the
- 27:15Speaker 1: polls are exactly right about the national political environment. If so,
- 27:20Speaker 1: the race is in a very delicate spot. Everything from
- 27:24Speaker 1: a Democrat hold in the Senate and a narrow House
- 27:29Speaker 1: majority to a total Republican route becomes imaginable. Now. Ben
- 27:36Speaker 1: for Nate Cone to write a week ago that a
- 27:39Speaker 1: Democrat hold of the House is entirely imaginable despite the
- 27:42Speaker 1: worst polling numbers in a mid term ever seen that,
- 27:47Speaker 1: it's so ludicrous. Look, he knows he's lying. Presumably many
- 27:53Speaker 1: of his readers know he's lying, but they're counting on
- 27:55Speaker 1: someone I guess not knowing he's lying. It really is astonishing,
- 28:01Speaker 1: It truly is. And I think one of the big
- 28:03Speaker 1: things now is Democrats are trying to act like they
- 28:06Speaker 1: are angry and they have their feelings heard, and they're
- 28:09Speaker 1: shocked that people are actually holding them accountable for what
- 28:11Speaker 1: they believe in. There was a very interestant column that
- 28:15Speaker 1: referred to the Paul Pelosi Nancy Pelosi husbands the attack
- 28:19Speaker 1: on him, which you condemned immediately we talked about on
- 28:22Speaker 1: this show. I condemned it as well. But there was
- 28:24Speaker 1: an instant column that came out from Karen Tumbled. She's
- 28:28Speaker 1: a prominent OP editor. I want to be fair about that,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and her column is entitled I'm sorry I said nice
- 28:34Speaker 1: things about Glenn Junkin. She said, I'd like to take
- 28:37Speaker 1: this opportunity to retract the nice things I said about
- 28:40Speaker 1: Glenn Yunkin. A few months ago, in July, I wrote
- 28:43Speaker 1: a column when reports began to surface that Virginia's Republican governor,
- 28:47Speaker 1: fresh and sunny political newcomer with proven by partisan appeal,
- 28:51Speaker 1: was already thinking about running for president. At the time,
- 28:54Speaker 1: I expressed hope for that Yunkin or someone like him
- 28:57Speaker 1: would seek the GOP nomination. Now she wants to take
- 29:01Speaker 1: it all back because she's angry over the attack and
- 29:06Speaker 1: the politics around the attack on Paul Pelosi. This might
- 29:10Speaker 1: be one of the weirdest top eds I've ever read. Yeah, well,
- 29:14Speaker 1: one of the things. Okay, if you look at the
- 29:17Speaker 1: attack on Paul Pelosi, it was horrific. And I will say, listen,
- 29:22Speaker 1: we're such a polarized, tribalized world that you've got right
- 29:26Speaker 1: and left attacking on everything. And some of the things
- 29:30Speaker 1: folks are saying on Twitter about it, I wish they
- 29:32Speaker 1: wouldn't say, you've got an eighty two year old man
- 29:36Speaker 1: who was hit in the head with a hammer, and violence,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and political violence is real. It is something that there
- 29:43Speaker 1: are threats against elected officials and their families and and
- 29:46Speaker 1: and what happened to Paul Pelosi never should have happened. Instantaneously,
- 29:54Speaker 1: the media and the Democrats, though, seized upon this as
- 29:59Speaker 1: a police critical opportunity, and it was completely concerted on
- 30:03Speaker 1: almost every media outlet. They said, Okay, this is Republican's fault,
- 30:09Speaker 1: this is Donald Trump's fault, this is the fault of
- 30:13Speaker 1: every every Republican running, and so the answer is you
- 30:16Speaker 1: got to vote for Democrats. They immediately politicized it, and listen,
- 30:19Speaker 1: there are multiple elements of this. Number One, Look, I
- 30:23Speaker 1: guess we'll learn more about this assailant, but what we
- 30:26Speaker 1: know about him is he was a hippie nudist in Berkeley, California,
- 30:31Speaker 1: who was an illegal immigrant who had overstayed his visa.
- 30:36Speaker 1: This is not someone who easily fits into the bucket
- 30:40Speaker 1: of maga right wing base. I don't know the guy's story.
- 30:46Speaker 1: He appears to be a drug addled nut. And unfortunately,
- 30:51Speaker 1: there are more than a few drug addled nuts who
- 30:54Speaker 1: carry out acts of violence but for the media. And
- 30:59Speaker 1: this is why this, this Karen Tumulty article is so
- 31:04Speaker 1: ridiculous and it's so revealing. She goes on the reason
- 31:09Speaker 1: she's decided Yuncan is now person and on grata is
- 31:12Speaker 1: because Juncan is campaigning for Republicans and in fact, Glenn
- 31:16Speaker 1: and I and Glenn as a friend. I endorsed Glenn
- 31:18Speaker 1: when he ran for governor. I spent two days barn
- 31:21Speaker 1: storming Virginia with Glenn the two days before his primary,
- 31:25Speaker 1: and I'm I think very highly of Glenn. Glenn and
- 31:28Speaker 1: I just over a week ago, we're campaigning together for
- 31:31Speaker 1: yes Lee Vega, who's a fantastic candidate running in Virginia.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We did a rally together for yes Ley that was phenomenal. Well,
- 31:41Speaker 1: here's what Karen Tumblety writes as news was breaking Friday,
- 31:46Speaker 1: about the horrific attack on how Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband
- 31:49Speaker 1: Paul by an intruder in their San Francisco home. Yuncan
- 31:52Speaker 1: happened to be campaigning in Stafford, Virginia for Yes Lee Vega,
- 31:54Speaker 1: the Republican running in a very tight race against Democratic
- 31:57Speaker 1: rap Abigail Spanburger. Quote Speaker Pelosi's husband. They had a
- 32:03Speaker 1: break in last night at their house and he was assaulted.
- 32:06Speaker 1: There's no room for violence anywhere. Exactly right, right thing
- 32:09Speaker 1: to say. That's me speaking now. But now Tumulty keeps
- 32:13Speaker 1: going alas, he didn't stop there. Quote, but we're going
- 32:20Speaker 1: to send her back to be with him in California,
- 32:23Speaker 1: the governor said, as the crowd cheered, Yuncan doubled down.
- 32:27Speaker 1: That's what we're going to do. That's what we're going
- 32:30Speaker 1: to do. For that reason. Suddenly Karen Tumulty says, I'm
- 32:35Speaker 1: sorry I ever said anything positive about it. Now, look
- 32:37Speaker 1: what the media's try to do, literally saying, defeat the Democrats,
- 32:41Speaker 1: defeat Nancy Pelosi's Speaker of the House. That is celebrating violence,
- 32:47Speaker 1: what utter, unmitigated horsecrap. What Glenn said is what every
- 32:53Speaker 1: Republican to say. Across the country. When you elect Democrats,
- 32:56Speaker 1: they implement bad policies and bad things happened to you
- 33:00Speaker 1: and your family, and the absolute double standard. Look a
- 33:04Speaker 1: few years back, when a craze Bernie Sanders supporter shot
- 33:09Speaker 1: and nearly killed Steve Scalize, you didn't see the Democrats
- 33:14Speaker 1: being blamed for their rhetoric. Earlier this year, when a
- 33:17Speaker 1: crazed lunatic tried to kill Lee Zeldon on the campaign trail,
- 33:22Speaker 1: you didn't see the Democrats being condemned for their rhetoric.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Just a few months ago, when a crazed lunatic went
- 33:29Speaker 1: from California to DC trying to murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Again,
- 33:33Speaker 1: the media didn't say, you know, the time has come
- 33:36Speaker 1: for Schumer and the leftist to stop. They don't do that,
- 33:39Speaker 1: but it is I gotta say ben it. They didn't
- 33:42Speaker 1: even the White House didn't even condemn it. They were violent.
- 33:45Speaker 1: They had the opportunity, by the way they were asked
- 33:47Speaker 1: by the media, and they purposely said nothing about the
- 33:50Speaker 1: assassination attempt on its Supreme Court justice and putting out
- 33:54Speaker 1: that hit list basically of where they lived. They wouldn't
- 33:57Speaker 1: even condemn the people going to the Houses of Supreme
- 34:00Speaker 1: Court Justices, which is supposed to be a felony to
- 34:02Speaker 1: try to influence their vote, so it is a felony.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And the Department of Justice. Merritt Garland is so political
- 34:09Speaker 1: that he still refuses to prosecute the people that are
- 34:12Speaker 1: aggressively protesting in front of the Justice's home. He simply decides, Okay,
- 34:17Speaker 1: certain portions of the criminal Code I don't enforce because
- 34:20Speaker 1: it is contrary to my partisan political interests, and it
- 34:25Speaker 1: is truly absurd. You know, I watched one of the
- 34:29Speaker 1: Sunday shows where where Tom Emmert, one of the House
- 34:33Speaker 1: congressional leaders, was on and Margaret Brennan was cross examining him.
- 34:38Speaker 1: You know, do you regret saying fire Nancy Pelosi? And
- 34:42Speaker 1: Tom's a fairly mild mannered guy. I wish he had
- 34:44Speaker 1: looked at her and said hell no. And I regret
- 34:47Speaker 1: the fact that she's in office right now because her
- 34:49Speaker 1: policies have been disastrous for people in this country. But
- 34:53Speaker 1: what the media is trying to do, bizarrely, they're actually
- 34:58Speaker 1: celebrating this horrific physical attack on Paul Pelosi because they
- 35:03Speaker 1: see it as an excuse when they're done telling the
- 35:07Speaker 1: story it was Donald Trump wearing a red hat that
- 35:10Speaker 1: was wielding the hammer instead of some crazed hippie nudist
- 35:14Speaker 1: from Berkeley who's an illegal alien and who knows what
- 35:17Speaker 1: views he has, maybe has some right wing views or
- 35:19Speaker 1: left wing views, I don't know. But to claim that
- 35:23Speaker 1: because some lunatic assaulted Pelosi's husband, that it is now
- 35:29Speaker 1: verboten to try to beat Democrats on election Day, even
- 35:35Speaker 1: for the corrupt corporate media, that is the height of absurdity.
- 35:40Speaker 1: It certainly is. And Center. You and I did a podcast,
- 35:43Speaker 1: a Deep Dive, just a couple of days ago that
