- 2:03Speaker 2: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 2: dig me now what and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 2: radio show? Man or man? Almost forgot I had one
- 2:14Speaker 2: this morning. But I'm okay. I'll tell you who I
- 2:17Speaker 2: am in a little bit. You know, I get around. Man,
- 2:19Speaker 2: it's so much. But man, good morning everybody. You know today.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I was having a conversation with my wife last night
- 2:29Speaker 2: and we were talking about our plans. You know, we
- 2:32Speaker 2: often sit down, you know, just like a married couple.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I mean, you know, you know we're married. You know
- 2:37Speaker 2: we have children, we have aspirations, we have hopes, we
- 2:41Speaker 2: will I mean know, we have things we want. You know,
- 2:43Speaker 2: when you're married, you know, I mean it's important to
- 2:47Speaker 2: sit with your partner. I'm not telling you anything. You
- 2:49Speaker 2: don't know. It's common sense. Really, it's important to sit
- 2:53Speaker 2: down with the person that you've chosen and decided to
- 2:55Speaker 2: share your life with it and have multiple conversations on
- 2:59Speaker 2: a lot of things. And we try to make sure
- 3:01Speaker 2: that all of our conversations aren't always just business related
- 3:06Speaker 2: and always kid related, you know, because that that becomes
- 3:12Speaker 2: it's a part of it. But it weighs so much
- 3:16Speaker 2: on the marriage that because that's the grunt work of
- 3:19Speaker 2: being married. You know, your children, your family, your bills,
- 3:23Speaker 2: your your mortgage, your your car notes, you know the
- 3:27Speaker 2: what's due, what's coming up, and if you're not careful,
- 3:33Speaker 2: you'll you'll start that becomes the focal point of you
- 3:36Speaker 2: all's conversation. And this woman or man or person that
- 3:41Speaker 2: you've decided to have this life with, all of a sudden,
- 3:44Speaker 2: they're an extension of your business and you guys become
- 3:49Speaker 2: business partners or whatever, and it just gets so anywhere.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I'm just saying that that is important to sit down
- 3:56Speaker 2: and have these conversations, but it's even more important to
- 3:59Speaker 2: have of the other conversation. You know, it's important with
- 4:03Speaker 2: the person that you're planning on making the run with
- 4:06Speaker 2: to sit down and talk about other things, you know,
- 4:10Speaker 2: on a more upbeat note. You know, we were having
- 4:13Speaker 2: a conversation that she was reminding me of what she
- 4:18Speaker 2: loved about me, and then I, in turn, was turned
- 4:21Speaker 2: around telling her the things that I admired about her
- 4:24Speaker 2: and loved about her. And we kind of have these
- 4:27Speaker 2: all the time, you know, when we sit down and
- 4:30Speaker 2: we talk about the things that we still enjoy about
- 4:33Speaker 2: one another, or we may talk about some of the
- 4:36Speaker 2: things that we miss in one another, but we constantly
- 4:39Speaker 2: have these conversations about appreciation. You know, it's so important, man,
- 4:44Speaker 2: that the other person feels appreciated. So these things important.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But we got into the conversation deeper last night, and
- 4:52Speaker 2: I was telling her about this idea that I had
- 4:56Speaker 2: and that I wanted her to help me with and
- 4:59Speaker 2: make a phone call for me because she knows these people,
- 5:02Speaker 2: and I was going to be doing this, and then
- 5:04Speaker 2: my wife reminded me of something not once again. You know,
- 5:09Speaker 2: as always, you know, when I'm talking to you, I
- 5:11Speaker 2: just keep it as real as I can. I don't
- 5:14Speaker 2: know the Bible inside out. I can't quote to you
- 5:17Speaker 2: scriptures and tell you exactly where it is. I just
- 5:20Speaker 2: you know, I heard her say it, but it kind
- 5:22Speaker 2: of blew by me. I was telling her about something
- 5:26Speaker 2: I wanted to make happen, and she reminded me that
- 5:29Speaker 2: there's a scripture somewhere, and somebody emailed it to me today.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I'm sure. Well, the Bible reminds us not to be
- 5:36Speaker 2: anxious for anything. Don't be anxious for something. And you know,
- 5:42Speaker 2: it really mattered to me at that point yesterday that
- 5:45Speaker 2: she brought this to my attention, because how many times
- 5:48Speaker 2: I've been guilty of that in my past and I've
- 5:51Speaker 2: learned better now, but every now and then I need
- 5:54Speaker 2: to be reminded, you know. And I think that what
- 5:58Speaker 2: she was saying to me was, you know, I've gotten
- 6:01Speaker 2: to a point in my life, and we all should
- 6:04Speaker 2: get to a point where. You know, you've heard old
- 6:07Speaker 2: people say this, if you're gonna pray about something, then
- 6:10Speaker 2: don't worry about it, And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 6:13Speaker 2: don't pray about it. Back to this, be anxious for nothing, don't.
- 6:19Speaker 2: If you're going to trust in God, then't do that.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And trusting in him means sometimes you got to be patient.
- 6:29Speaker 2: God has never been too late. You don't know the
- 6:33Speaker 2: plan he has, You don't know, you don't really always
- 6:36Speaker 2: know his will. You definitely don't know his route, his
- 6:39Speaker 2: way of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's
- 6:44Speaker 2: always been there on time for me. He's always been
- 6:47Speaker 2: there on time for you. How many times have you
- 6:50Speaker 2: thought it was over only to find out it's really
- 6:54Speaker 2: just begun. How many times have people wrote you off?
- 7:00Speaker 2: There are those of you who have lost jobs, but
- 7:03Speaker 2: you are still maintaining. But man, God has already began
- 7:08Speaker 2: to turn around process for many of us. Some of
- 7:12Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now have better jobs. Some of
- 7:16Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now has forced us to rekindle
- 7:21Speaker 2: that dream and that vision for business we had. Sometimes
- 7:25Speaker 2: the mishap is the thing you need to make something
- 7:29Speaker 2: good happen. See a lot of times we get so
- 7:32Speaker 2: comfortable in our life where we just we get complacent,
- 7:38Speaker 2: We just settling in and when this is it and
- 7:40Speaker 2: this is what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has
- 7:44Speaker 2: a tremendous amount of abundance for you. He has an
- 7:47Speaker 2: amazing amount of things. He has all these boxes packaged
- 7:51Speaker 2: up with your name on him that he's willing to ship.
- 7:55Speaker 2: If you would just align yourself with some of his wills,
- 7:59Speaker 2: so you could give some of these things. How many
- 8:01Speaker 2: times have you thought it was over and it didn't
- 8:04Speaker 2: really go over. How many times have you thought have well,
- 8:08Speaker 2: this is it and it wasn't it at all. Well,
- 8:11Speaker 2: how many times have you thought, well, it don't look
- 8:13Speaker 2: like this gonna work out, and it didn't work out,
- 8:15Speaker 2: but then something better came along? How many times has
- 8:19Speaker 2: that happened? You've got to realize this, man. I was
- 8:23Speaker 2: talking to a family who had got displaced from the
- 8:26Speaker 2: Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans. And Man,
- 8:30Speaker 2: when they said, yeah, we got a displaced from Katrina,
- 8:33Speaker 2: and I braced myself because, oh woe is me? Here
- 8:36Speaker 2: comes this story. I gotta hear this, and I gotta
- 8:39Speaker 2: be encouraged and think of something. It was totally different.
- 8:41Speaker 2: They totally totally blew me away.
- 8:45Speaker 7: Man.
- 8:45Speaker 2: The brother said, Man, is actually the best thing that
- 8:48Speaker 2: ever happened to my family. And I went whoa And
- 8:52Speaker 2: he said, yeah, man, he said, because what happened was
- 8:55Speaker 2: he said, I got settled in, he said. Plus, I
- 8:58Speaker 2: was doing some things outside of my marriage down there.
- 9:02Speaker 2: He said, I was doing some stuff in the streets
- 9:04Speaker 2: I ain't need to be doing. He said, Man, it
- 9:06Speaker 2: all got washed away. We thought our life would never
- 9:09Speaker 2: be the same. But he said, man, my life ain't
- 9:11Speaker 2: need to be the same. He said, Man, Now we
- 9:14Speaker 2: live up here in Texas. We got a house, don't
- 9:18Speaker 2: know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I know
- 9:20Speaker 2: to get into trouble with. He said, man, I done
- 9:22Speaker 2: rediscovered my wife, how beautiful she really is, how much
- 9:26Speaker 2: my family really was counting on me. And he said, man,
- 9:28Speaker 2: it straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 9:31Speaker 2: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing ever happened
- 9:33Speaker 2: to me. Now that's not always the case, but it's
- 9:37Speaker 2: how you look at a situation. But just don't be
- 9:40Speaker 2: anxious for anything, because God got a fix for you
- 9:44Speaker 2: if you just let him work. So just stay on course,
- 9:47Speaker 2: stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious, man, just
- 9:52Speaker 2: stay in the wheel. Let God work with you. He
- 9:55Speaker 2: got some great stuff in the store for you. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, Steve Harvey morning, So to three. I

- 10:18Speaker 2: plead for your sympathy, I don't mind, because you mean
- 10:24Speaker 2: that much. You mean ain't too proud to beg Ladies

- 10:42Speaker 2: It is again. I know you wanta leave me, but
- 10:48Speaker 2: I refuse to let you who go? If I have
- 10:52Speaker 2: to beg and plead for your simpathy, I don't mind
- 10:58Speaker 2: because you mean that much to me. Ain't too proud
- 11:01Speaker 2: to beg sweet doll, and please don't leave me girl,

- 12:24Speaker 9: Yes, sir Steve, you say so hard?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I have to because it's the feeling. I'm
- 12:33Speaker 2: Dennis Itwards and David Ruffy.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That's hard.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Whoa. But boy, let me tell you something. If I
- 12:42Speaker 2: had my preference Dennis Edwards or David Ruffing, which one me?
- 12:48Speaker 2: I got to go with Dennis?
- 12:50Speaker 1: You know what I hear A lot of men say that,
- 12:53Speaker 1: A lot of I got.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The women always said David.
- 12:58Speaker 2: No, I got to go with Dinnis man.
- 13:00Speaker 1: The men say Dennis Dennis. Why Papa was.
- 13:06Speaker 10: All freedom weinsday today, freedom wins. I just feel like
- 13:10Speaker 10: that you got me all rived up. Now, Yeah, you
- 13:14Speaker 10: know we should do that.
- 13:16Speaker 2: But you know, a couple of Phillips had a little problems,
- 13:19Speaker 2: all right, A couple of program directors across the I
- 13:23Speaker 2: ain't gonna mention no names. They weren't on no major
- 13:26Speaker 2: stations though, so I don't know what we even listened
- 13:29Speaker 2: to the.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Ass All right, Junior, that's your music lesson for today. Okay,
- 13:33Speaker 1: more to life than Joe Here.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Shots from Marol, Louisiana.
- 13:38Speaker 11: Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour. It's
- 13:41Speaker 11: the Nephew and Run that prank back right after this
- 13:44Speaker 11: you're listening.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Morning show. It is time out for the nephew to
- 13:49Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for it?
- 13:51Speaker 10: Tonf So this right here is called baby Wait, Baby
- 13:58Speaker 10: wait w E I g h T baby wait baby.
- 14:06Speaker 9: Quait let's go.
- 14:11Speaker 7: Hello Hello, I'm trying to reach traina please. Yeah, this
- 14:16Speaker 7: is Trina, Trina. My name is Ernest, Ernest Murphy down
- 14:20Speaker 7: here at the bus born with the from the school district.
- 14:23Speaker 7: Your son is Devin, am I right?
- 14:27Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 14:27Speaker 7: Okay? Now he's in the sixth grade. I think, yeah, yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 7: everything is fine. I think he's on He rides bus ninety,
- 14:37Speaker 7: bus ninety three. Does he ride plus ninety three? Are
- 14:39Speaker 7: you tany number?
- 14:41Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Yeah he does. Okay.
- 14:43Speaker 7: So now the school board that's implemented a new rule
- 14:48Speaker 7: and we're having to call a lot of parents and
- 14:52Speaker 7: let him know about the new rule for us as
- 14:55Speaker 7: far as the buses are concerned. Now, from my understanding,
- 14:59Speaker 7: he's child that gets on the bus has to weigh
- 15:02Speaker 7: less than one hundred and twenty five pounds. That's what
- 15:06Speaker 7: the new rule that is implemented by waiting for what
- 15:09Speaker 7: did you say that again? I feel each child that
- 15:16Speaker 7: gets on the bus has to weigh less than one
- 15:18Speaker 7: hundred and twenty five pounds.
- 15:21Speaker 12: I don't understand.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 15:25Speaker 7: So's okay, so what is what does that mean? So
- 15:28Speaker 7: starting on Monday, Starting on Monday, what they're gonna do
- 15:31Speaker 7: is they gonna the bus driver will have a scale
- 15:35Speaker 7: and he will wait at kids so they get on
- 15:38Speaker 7: the bus. I understand. Man in the doctor like I say,
- 15:41Speaker 7: I'm calling, I'm calling every parent that they wait.
- 15:45Speaker 12: He said, you're gonna you're gonna weigh my child before
- 15:48Speaker 12: he gets on the bus.
- 15:50Speaker 7: That's that's what the new rulee, that's what the new
- 15:52Speaker 7: rule is. If he's over one twenty five, then he
- 15:54Speaker 7: still either have to wait, so you'll have to take
- 15:56Speaker 7: him to school. I have a job. Okay, I have
- 16:00Speaker 7: a job.
- 16:01Speaker 12: I thought to take my kids in school, but doesn't
- 16:03Speaker 12: I don't. That's what the bus explores. That's what my
- 16:05Speaker 12: tax dollars take for reasoning the rationale behind this.
- 16:12Speaker 7: Okay, let me tell you what's going on. From what
- 16:14Speaker 7: they're saying, the weight of these children is wearing down
- 16:19Speaker 7: these transmissions on this bus. On these buses, transmission, the
- 16:23Speaker 7: transmission that cannot take all of that so they are
- 16:26Speaker 7: limiting the weight of each child. So now how much
- 16:29Speaker 7: does that discrimination? I think that's discrimination, but definite son
- 16:36Speaker 7: over Is he over one hundred and twenty five pounds?
- 16:40Speaker 13: Okay?
- 16:40Speaker 7: He is? Okay, then you're gonna you're probably gonna have
- 16:45Speaker 7: to take your son to school or he gonna have
- 16:47Speaker 7: to walk. He probably need to walk the school if
- 16:50Speaker 7: he already hunting twenty five pounds.
- 16:55Speaker 12: What the accident are you talking about?
- 17:00Speaker 7: They have all I'm saying. All I'm saying is if
- 17:03Speaker 7: your son can overweight one hundred and twenty five you know,
- 17:07Speaker 7: maybe the exercise of doing good when like I said that,
- 17:10Speaker 7: the school is not going to allow him on the bus.
- 17:13Speaker 7: But sure I will not accept this.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Who do I need to call?
- 17:18Speaker 8: Is there a manager?
- 17:20Speaker 12: Is there a city's council member? I mean, this is
- 17:22Speaker 12: seriously the most discriminatory practice I've ever heard of. It
- 17:27Speaker 12: doesn't even make sense.
- 17:28Speaker 7: You're talking about a child, I understand, but we're talking
- 17:31Speaker 7: about a child. They're way more than a grown person,
- 17:33Speaker 7: your son.
- 17:34Speaker 8: I need to get through.
- 17:35Speaker 12: What is your name, sir? Tell me your name again.
- 17:38Speaker 7: My name is Ernest. I'm down here at the bus
- 17:41Speaker 7: ball I would like.
- 17:42Speaker 12: To speak with a supervisor like now, you do not
- 17:47Speaker 12: get to speak to about my child that way. You
- 17:49Speaker 12: can just think to any kid that way. You should
- 17:51Speaker 12: not be working at a school if that is your attitude.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I no, I don't work at the school. I work
- 17:56Speaker 7: at the bus ball. I'm down here at the bus
- 17:58Speaker 7: ball and they gave me you don't have a tender
- 18:01Speaker 7: right because you're saying he's over behind in twenty five.
- 18:04Speaker 12: I am an absolute shocked.
- 18:07Speaker 2: This is so.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:10Speaker 7: So do you have a fan child? I mean, do
- 18:13Speaker 7: you have Cuba? I'm sorry, do you have a big child? Listen?
- 18:16Speaker 12: What my child looks like, how much he weighs is
- 18:19Speaker 12: none of your business. I'm going to call the school.
- 18:23Speaker 12: They can do work with your company. If this is
- 18:25Speaker 12: the way that you treat people and you talk about children,
- 18:29Speaker 12: it's life, but it doesn't matter with you.
- 18:32Speaker 7: I guess what they're doing is this is the way
- 18:35Speaker 7: of them approaching obesity, you know, right? Yeah, school, whoever,
- 18:40Speaker 7: whoever over one hundred and twenty five, e len the walk,
- 18:42Speaker 7: they might walk it all your son.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Listen, listen.
- 18:46Speaker 12: That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Okay, I have to work.
- 18:51Speaker 12: My son is getting on that bus, and I'm going
- 18:54Speaker 12: to call the school boy and should not be working
- 18:56Speaker 12: with you, your mother bus company.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 18:58Speaker 12: I'm calling the city. I will call remember the need
- 19:01Speaker 12: to call that. You need to give me a supervisor's
- 19:03Speaker 12: name right now, right now?
- 19:06Speaker 7: Do you think you need to start cooking different for
- 19:08Speaker 7: so devin On? Have you know maybe maybe it's starts
- 19:12Speaker 7: at home with what you feed him.
- 19:16Speaker 12: Everybody, you know, I am calling the supervisor. I'm calling
- 19:20Speaker 12: this the city. I'm calling the school. I'm going to
- 19:22Speaker 12: get so fired, like I can't even believe that you're
- 19:25Speaker 12: allowed to make this call like our other parents okay
- 19:28Speaker 12: with them.
- 19:31Speaker 5: I'm called.
- 19:32Speaker 7: Well, you're on your way to work in the morning, Trina.
- 19:35Speaker 7: Do you listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show? Oh
- 19:40Speaker 7: my god, yes I do. This is nephew Talvey from
- 19:46Speaker 7: the Steve Harvey Morning Baby. Yes, yes, yes, your cousin
- 19:51Speaker 7: Vicky got me the prank. Paul call you baby.
- 19:54Speaker 12: Oh my god, I'm gonna k.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I oh my god, I love Harvey.
- 20:03Speaker 12: I love you.
- 20:06Speaker 6: God.
- 20:08Speaker 7: You gotta tell me this baby train it. What is
- 20:10Speaker 7: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show? In
- 20:14Speaker 7: the lane.
- 20:15Speaker 8: Cheeve Harvey.
- 20:18Speaker 10: I need some prank praise up in here this morning.
- 20:21Speaker 10: I need some prank praise up in here this morning.
- 20:25Speaker 10: Get ready to get ready, to get ready to get ready.
- 20:27Speaker 10: I need some prank praise. Everybody in the building should
- 20:31Speaker 10: be on their feet, prank praise right here right now.
- 20:36Speaker 9: Won't time me do it? Won't time and prank them,
- 20:40Speaker 9: won't time it? Prank them?
- 20:41Speaker 10: Get out your car, throw it in park and stand
- 20:44Speaker 10: on your feet on the side of the road, and
- 20:45Speaker 10: let's get a prank praise dance right here, right now.
- 20:50Speaker 9: Over there.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yes, why not?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Thank you nephew.
- 20:55Speaker 11: Coming up next, it is asked to see l O
- 20:58Speaker 11: our chief love offosite you're listening morning show coming up
- 21:04Speaker 11: at the top of the hour. In entertainment news, there's
- 21:07Speaker 11: no there's a new documentary on HBO Max about the
- 21:10Speaker 11: One and Only Queen of Disco, the Late Great Donna Summer.
- 21:15Speaker 11: The trailer for the Color Purple Musical looks really good.
- 21:18Speaker 11: And Janelle Monet is on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine.
- 21:22Speaker 11: She's on their topless. Yes she is, and reportedly she's happier.
- 21:28Speaker 11: She's happier when her breaths are out Okay, late, you
- 21:37Speaker 11: can relate.
- 21:38Speaker 1: That's all coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:40Speaker 11: But right now it is time to ask the clo
- 21:45Speaker 11: Here we go, Amira, and Fargo says, I'm a forty
- 21:49Speaker 11: year old single mother and I'm so sick of my
- 21:52Speaker 11: six year old daughter. She loud talks to me everywhere
- 21:56Speaker 11: we go, and she curses at me when she does
- 22:00Speaker 11: and get her way.
- 22:01Speaker 1: She repeats things her dad said about me, and it's hurtful.
- 22:05Speaker 1: How do I stop this?
- 22:06Speaker 2: Backhand?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Whoa six years old?
- 22:10Speaker 2: Backhand? Backhand? Every time she talked, back back hand, every
- 22:17Speaker 2: time she cussed, back hand. Oh, it'll slow all that down,
- 22:22Speaker 2: It will slow all of that down. Look, listen to me,
- 22:26Speaker 2: y'all raise your kids how you want to. But if
- 22:29Speaker 2: you gonna let your kids raise you, then don't call
- 22:31Speaker 2: me because I have nothing for you. But they ain't
- 22:35Speaker 2: a child of mine running a damn thing in my house.
- 22:38Speaker 2: You don't pay for nothing or nothing. You're not gonna
- 22:41Speaker 2: be disrespectful to me. You're just not gonna do it
- 22:44Speaker 2: because I'm gonna teach you. I'm gonna teach you one
- 22:47Speaker 2: thing consequence. See what's happening to this little girl, This
- 22:51Speaker 2: ain't no consequence. So she talking back, she cussing at you,
- 22:56Speaker 2: She'll listen to you. No consequence. This is where every
- 23:02Speaker 2: action is an equal and opposite reaction. We're gonna go
- 23:05Speaker 2: to school. We're gonna learn a little bit of science here.
- 23:08Speaker 2: We we're gonna give you a couple of theories that
- 23:10Speaker 2: you can carry with you the rest of your life.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Behind every action that is an equal and opposite reaction.
- 23:17Speaker 2: That are no free nothing. So now cussing me again, man,
- 23:23Speaker 2: I would look most of the people listening to this
- 23:26Speaker 2: show right now, most of these people listening to this
- 23:28Speaker 2: show all agree with me. Cussing your mama. See what happened.
- 23:33Speaker 2: It's unthinkable, It's unthinkable. Now I've cussed under my breath.
- 23:43Speaker 2: But I've heard this from behind two closed doors and
- 23:48Speaker 2: a wall. What did you say, now?
- 23:51Speaker 1: God they have of their head and ears strong ears?
- 24:00Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 24:01Speaker 2: What did you say now? And that began? You know,
- 24:06Speaker 2: I've first learned how a lit is you know?
- 24:09Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Oh so it started in the hall.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you make me sick. What did you say now?
- 24:19Speaker 2: I said, I've learned my lesson quick.
- 24:22Speaker 1: The line saved your life really many times.
- 24:29Speaker 11: Here we go Anonymous in Tennessee, says I had a
- 24:32Speaker 11: health scare for a few months ago, a few months ago,
- 24:35Speaker 11: and my wife put me on a strict diet, and
- 24:37Speaker 11: she expects me to barbecue for her family on Saturday.
- 24:40Speaker 11: And I can't eat the burgers and steak or the ribs.
- 24:43Speaker 11: Do I have to cook for them or tell them
- 24:45Speaker 11: to get someone else.
- 24:46Speaker 7: To do it?
- 24:47Speaker 2: Well, I can't get in your house, you know. I
- 24:53Speaker 2: can't get in your house and tell you how.
- 24:55Speaker 8: To do it.
- 24:57Speaker 2: But I have a suggestion for just going the barbecue thought.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I mean, if you good that.
- 25:04Speaker 9: I slap for you.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Why would you do that?
- 25:10Speaker 1: But he's on my what diet? Guys question here?
- 25:15Speaker 2: Okay, don't need to me, don't need to meet the
- 25:19Speaker 2: sauce the problem.
- 25:21Speaker 11: Just lick the solf up his thing somebody's fingers. Yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 11: he's kind of barbecue. It's gonna be kind of hard
- 25:30Speaker 11: to barbecue the meat and not be able to eat
- 25:32Speaker 11: the meat.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Well, I mean, surely at one point in time it
- 25:35Speaker 2: has to be disciplined. If you have a health scare,
- 25:37Speaker 2: which I've had recently, you know you have to make
- 25:40Speaker 2: some necessary adjustments. Now if you don't make the adjustments, bro,
- 25:44Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 25:45Speaker 1: To tell you. But that is my question right here.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Should he get someone else to do it?
- 25:50Speaker 2: If he doesn't have the discipline, you're just go on
- 25:53Speaker 2: and tell everybody, look, I'm weak. I'm not gonna be
- 25:56Speaker 2: able to do this. Then now, if you can admit
- 25:59Speaker 2: to yourself that you weak and you can't cook without
- 26:02Speaker 2: your fat ass equal, then just go on and say
- 26:05Speaker 2: that that's why you got this healthcare now because you
- 26:08Speaker 2: fat ass don't know how to tell yourself.
- 26:10Speaker 1: No, there's nothing in here about his can we eat one?
- 26:15Speaker 7: Though?
- 26:15Speaker 2: Do you know any skinny people with healthcare?
- 26:19Speaker 8: Uh?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yeah, the people with them?
- 26:21Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 26:23Speaker 2: But big boy, big boy. But his problem is that meat.
- 26:27Speaker 2: He got gout. I read all that in the letter.
- 26:30Speaker 2: He got gout. That's inflammation. That's too much. Damn read me.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Get him some elevate youth, Steve.
- 26:36Speaker 2: He got got I got a problem. I got a partner,
- 26:38Speaker 2: mine got gout. I didn't even know they had that,
- 26:41Speaker 2: No more, I didn't. I didn't, I didn't even I
- 26:44Speaker 2: didn't even know. I just thought that was old people
- 26:46Speaker 2: that had it. So I'm just trying to figure out, man,
- 26:50Speaker 2: how you how you get that? And it's a simple
- 26:53Speaker 2: solution for it. It's what you put in your mouth.
- 26:55Speaker 2: You gotta stop, you can't well, all right, the pope
- 27:01Speaker 2: chops man my ankle.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Just ate what.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Wait a minute, dog? What every time I eat? Pope
- 27:08Speaker 2: chopps my anklees.
- 27:10Speaker 11: Eight we're moving on to Kathy and Tupelo, who says
- 27:13Speaker 11: I was dating a guy for eight months and he
- 27:16Speaker 11: said I'm trifling and he ghosted me.
- 27:19Speaker 1: All because I lost my bedroom set last week.
- 27:23Speaker 11: I couldn't make the payment, so the company picked it
- 27:25Speaker 11: up instead of helping me.
- 27:27Speaker 2: He split.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Is a bedroom set that important?
- 27:30Speaker 2: Well? Ain't that way? Y'all? Was in bed at you
- 27:33Speaker 2: know you don't think that's important. I think it's important,
- 27:37Speaker 2: but I think it's something else is more important. Though,
- 27:41Speaker 2: If your man can't help you, if you're sleeping with
- 27:45Speaker 2: a man that won't help you make a payment?
- 27:50Speaker 7: Uh what what?
- 27:51Speaker 8: What? What?
- 27:52Speaker 2: What's the return value here? Now he goes to you
- 27:56Speaker 2: because you trifling? Now let me ask you a question, though,
- 27:59Speaker 2: Was he aware that you had trouble making your payments?
- 28:03Speaker 2: And did you make it away? Because a lot of women,
- 28:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna just say this to you, you make a mistake.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I understand wanting to be independent, and most women are
- 28:11Speaker 2: independent because they've been forced to be that way over
- 28:14Speaker 2: a course of time. And I applaud you for that.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I have no problem with that right there, But at
- 28:20Speaker 2: some point in time, you have to put a man
- 28:22Speaker 2: to the test. Stop trying to handle it all yourself.
- 28:27Speaker 2: A relationship is to form a partnership. So you want
- 28:31Speaker 2: to try to find you somebody that you can share
- 28:33Speaker 2: your troubles with and they have a reaction to it,
- 28:36Speaker 2: because if a man is in love with you, we
- 28:38Speaker 2: are fixers by nature. If you say I got a problem,
- 28:43Speaker 2: I'm finna lose my bedroom set because I'm not gonna
- 28:45Speaker 2: make these payments. He said, hold on how much you need.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Right, That's how it should be.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That's exactly how it should be. And it's not about
- 28:54Speaker 2: I don't want nobody to think I'm in it for
- 28:56Speaker 2: the money. There's nothing to do with that. You're in
- 28:58Speaker 2: it at a relationships be a partnership, and if a
- 29:01Speaker 2: guy's not willing to help you, that's not a really
- 29:04Speaker 2: good partnership.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he called her trifling and left, So there you go.
- 29:11Speaker 1: He's not the one.
- 29:12Speaker 11: He's not the one Kathy in two below. Yeah, definitely
- 29:17Speaker 11: not all right, Steve coming up next, Thank you. Coming

- 31:11Speaker 11: that's streaming right now on HBO Max. It's Loved to
- 31:14Speaker 11: Love You Donna Summer, and it pulls back the glamorous

- 31:20Speaker 11: reveal her most intimate moments. The film contains home movies
- 31:24Speaker 11: and archival footage from Summer's life in order to tell
- 31:28Speaker 11: her captivating stories. So, Steve, I got to ask you,
- 31:30Speaker 11: were you a fan of Donna Summer Girls and all
- 31:34Speaker 11: of that.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, disco.

- 31:41Speaker 11: sexy and thing that hard, smooth and sexy.
- 31:46Speaker 7: You know.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I used to go to this club in Cleveland called
- 31:49Speaker 2: the Wild Cherries. He was out in the neighborhood, a
- 31:56Speaker 2: white club, oh, because it was out there where I live,
- 31:59Speaker 2: because this school was in and there was this one
- 32:02Speaker 2: black dude that was Dad that he dashed with two
- 32:06Speaker 2: white girls all the time, any two white girls. He
- 32:10Speaker 2: was a disco ass dude. And I used to go
- 32:13Speaker 2: out there, man, because the music, you know, the Beg's
- 32:16Speaker 2: and all that was pop, you know, and you wore
- 32:20Speaker 2: my little white suit with the red shirt with the
- 32:23Speaker 2: dog year collar on it on outside. You know, my platform,
- 32:28Speaker 2: my my off bitch. But I would sit there, man,
- 32:32Speaker 2: and wait on black girls to come into the club,
- 32:35Speaker 2: which was really rare, so you know, I didn't have
- 32:38Speaker 2: a lot of money, so I'd be sitting there nursing
- 32:39Speaker 2: that one drink, and I didn't be nursing that coke
- 32:43Speaker 2: all night waiting on a black girl to come in.
- 32:47Speaker 2: And then a black girl would come in and I
- 32:49Speaker 2: was swoop sit over there. We laughed for a little while,
- 32:52Speaker 2: and I'd get on up and go home. It ain't
- 32:53Speaker 2: never work out for me in that club. I hated
- 32:56Speaker 2: the wild Ship.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, not no.
- 33:02Speaker 2: You know, you know, my pretty ass light skiing bought
- 33:05Speaker 2: that dance with all the white girls. I started hating
- 33:08Speaker 2: him too, and I spoke to him one time. I say, hey, bro,
- 33:13Speaker 2: what's going on?
- 33:14Speaker 8: Hi?
- 33:15Speaker 3: Oh?
- 33:16Speaker 2: Yeah, those guys.
- 33:17Speaker 9: One of those guys I.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Had never heard of. Black dude say Hi, Hi.
- 33:21Speaker 1: That's why you say that. I've heard you say that

- 34:15Speaker 1: In the article, she explained, even.
- 34:17Speaker 11: When I was really wearing only suits, I was either
- 34:20Speaker 11: in a suit or you will find me at my
- 34:22Speaker 11: own parties naked.

- 37:01Speaker 14: Up, you know, and you know I got a new house,
- 37:04Speaker 14: so this will be like one of my first holidays
- 37:06Speaker 14: in this house. This is this is something I have
- 37:10Speaker 14: to think about because I can't really do much because
- 37:12Speaker 14: it ain't much in here. But uh, I need a
- 37:16Speaker 14: lie for Memorial Day. It's the name of the poem
- 37:19Speaker 14: because I need a lie for Memorial Day.
- 37:22Speaker 2: And here is why. Yeah, here it is.
- 37:25Speaker 14: I need an outdoor kitchen at my new house because
- 37:28Speaker 14: I really want to barbecue and impress my spouse. Well,
- 37:32Speaker 14: all my neighbors will be barbecuing for real, but I

- 54:43Speaker 11: a man gets tired of us yapping all the time,
- 54:46Speaker 11: so I give him plenty of space. I love to
- 54:49Speaker 11: have people over because he's really nice when other people
- 54:52Speaker 11: are around, but then he goes right back to ignoring me.
- 54:55Speaker 11: There is one person that he really perks up for,
- 54:58Speaker 11: and he's on his best behalf if she's around.
- 55:01Speaker 1: It's my younger sister.
- 55:03Speaker 11: My sister is almost twenty years younger than I am,
- 55:06Speaker 11: and she married her high school sweetheart at a young age,
- 55:09Speaker 11: and they moved to Hawaii after he joined the army. Unfortunately,
- 55:14Speaker 11: her husband died of COVID, so she moved back to
- 55:17Speaker 11: Philly to be near her family. I knew back in
- 55:21Speaker 11: the day that my husband had a crush on her,
- 55:23Speaker 11: because all the guys did. She's always had long hair
- 55:27Speaker 11: and a teeny tiny waistline with hips, and after two children,
- 55:32Speaker 11: she still has a nice body. My mother and I
- 55:35Speaker 11: get so tickled when my husband is around my sister.
- 55:38Speaker 11: He darned near Smith's the air when she walks by.
- 55:42Speaker 11: It's amazing how nice he can be to her. And
- 55:45Speaker 11: I'm just glad to know that something or somebody can
- 55:48Speaker 11: revive him every once in a while. My oldest sister
- 55:52Speaker 11: is the hater of the family, and she's the one
- 55:55Speaker 11: that always keeps up mess. She told me that I
- 55:58Speaker 11: need to keep an eye on our little sister and
- 56:00Speaker 11: my husband. There's no way she's attracted to him because
- 56:04Speaker 11: I haven't been attracted to him in years.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Should I be worried about them?
- 56:07Speaker 11: Or should I let this old man enjoy his crush
- 56:10Speaker 11: on my darling baby sister.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Is it an innocent crush?
- 56:15Speaker 11: It is an innocent crush, right, well, I mean, I
- 56:18Speaker 11: know you trust your darling little sister, and yes, of
- 56:20Speaker 11: course it could be innocent. But then yes, still keep
- 56:23Speaker 11: your eyes on them. I mean, just because you're no
- 56:26Speaker 11: longer attracted to your husband, and how could you be
- 56:29Speaker 11: with the way he treats you, that doesn't mean other
- 56:32Speaker 11: women won't be attracted to him.
- 56:34Speaker 1: And it's no secret to you and your family that
- 56:36Speaker 1: he's feeling your sister.
- 56:38Speaker 11: We hear about these types of stories every day in
- 56:41Speaker 11: the Strawberry Letter, But it doesn't mean that that's happening
- 56:45Speaker 11: at your house.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Just be aware.
- 56:47Speaker 11: The problem is, though, what is wrong with your husband?
- 56:50Speaker 11: Why is he acting this way?
- 56:52Speaker 1: You said?
- 56:52Speaker 11: Your dad said, men get tired of us yapping all
- 56:55Speaker 11: the time. Well, whatever would that?
- 56:57Speaker 7: I mean?
- 56:58Speaker 11: You know you said you give him plenty of space,
- 57:00Speaker 11: so that's not it. Your husband just sounds like a
- 57:03Speaker 11: set in his ways, grumpy, grouchy old man. And have
- 57:07Speaker 11: you tried talking to him about this? Have you guys
- 57:09Speaker 11: had any kind of conversations. Well, he doesn't listen to
- 57:12Speaker 11: anything you say anyway, he said, It doesn't sound like
- 57:15Speaker 11: he would listen to you. But I just say, as
- 57:18Speaker 11: long as this is your sister pays him no attention
- 57:20Speaker 11: and doesn't engage him, and it doesn't sound like she is,
- 57:23Speaker 11: don't get mad at her. Doesn't sound like you're mad
- 57:26Speaker 11: at her. Your crazy husband is the problem. He's the problem,
- 57:31Speaker 11: and you shouldn't have to put up with this after
- 57:34Speaker 11: twenty seven years, Steve.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Shirley, you just told the girl, you just told the
- 57:40Speaker 2: day to keep out. Yeah, yeah, then you just told
- 57:44Speaker 2: him it ain't nothing. Now what you want to do now?
- 57:49Speaker 2: You won't keep out them?
- 57:50Speaker 11: Or it ain't nothing, Steve, We get letters like this
- 57:53Speaker 11: all the time. Keep an eye. She could trust her sisters.
- 57:56Speaker 11: Like I said, as long as her sister doesn't engage
- 57:58Speaker 11: or it pays him no attention. It's cool, but yeah,
- 58:01Speaker 11: she could still keep an eye. What's wrong with keeping
- 58:03Speaker 11: an eye? What did I say wrong?
- 58:07Speaker 2: Okay, I'm so glad I'm here on the second hand
- 58:10Speaker 2: of these letters fellas again. I want to apologize to
- 58:14Speaker 2: all the men listening out here again, because once again
- 58:18Speaker 2: Shirley has decided, don't you take another family, don't die.
- 58:26Speaker 2: We going to the other side of the family. Now,
- 58:29Speaker 2: normally it's just let's get rid of her husband and
- 58:32Speaker 2: the white Wow, if it was God, she gonna break
- 58:36Speaker 2: up the system. No, let me try to salvage this situation.
- 58:41Speaker 2: That's reason why you have two responses to the Strawberry letters, because.
- 58:45Speaker 9: You got to have different perspectives.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Now you, as the listener or write of the letter,
- 58:50Speaker 2: you get to decide which one you want to go with.
- 58:53Speaker 2: That these people been together twenty two years, twenty seven total.
- 58:57Speaker 2: He's settling his ways and all the huge and grown
- 59:00Speaker 2: and going out the house. He's gotten good at ignoring me.
- 59:06Speaker 2: He grugts when I talk to him, just to acknowledge
- 59:09Speaker 2: that he heard me. My father said, a man gets
- 59:13Speaker 2: tired of us yapping all the time. Shirley said, well, whatever,
- 59:18Speaker 2: that was her exact quote after that. But no, you
- 59:22Speaker 2: can't yell, and you can't oh yell whatever your way
- 59:25Speaker 2: out of this. The father said, a man gets tired
- 59:33Speaker 2: of us yapping all the time. And Shirley made another
- 59:37Speaker 2: statement that we get letters like this all the time.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Just yesterday, as I recall, here's a woman that's upset
- 59:44Speaker 2: with her husband because she want a picture of himself
- 59:47Speaker 2: all the time.
- 59:48Speaker 1: And now he going there to take a shower, and
- 59:50Speaker 1: he locked the door so she can't come in there
- 59:52Speaker 1: and sit and.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Talk to it. That's yapping all the damn time. The
- 59:56Speaker 2: man just won't take a shower. Now here we go. Now,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: you want to talk to your man all the time.
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: You talk to you damn.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: That's why he grunted, so he don't want to have
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: to have a verible exchange. It's sad, but all this
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: letter really is, can I just be honest with Chunk.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Both of these people in this letter have grown tired
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: of one another, both of them. And the only highlight
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: for his day, the only rail sunshine in his light,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: the only speacon of light. It's when hollo, fine ass
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: baby sister come over there. Yeah, when we come back,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I'll finish.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: Up this letter.
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: Part two of Today's Strawberry Letter. It's coming up. We'll
- 1:00:39Speaker 11: hear from Steve again at twenty three minutes after the hours.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after you do. You're
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: listening hard morning show.
- 1:00:49Speaker 11: All right, come on, lips, let's recap today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: All right, boy, got here, I'll come.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Today's subject is that it's amazing how nice he can be.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: You know, this woman been with this man all these years,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: twenty seven years total, and the kids is out the house,
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: and he's started ignoring her. He only grunts when she
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: speaks to it. She's getting tired of that. Now, you
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: went to your father, and your father said that a
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: man get tired of us yeaping all the time. Surely
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: to that exact line, said oh well whatever, well, see
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: that's what's wrong. It ain't no old well what help.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: He talks too much? He and got tired of her.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: But she is also tired of him. These are two
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: people that have grown apart. The kids is out the house.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: That was their purpose. They had a purpose for staying together.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That's diminished. That's gone. So now they just right back
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: to that. And I love to have other people over
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: because he's really nice when other people all around because
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: he cool with them, but then he goes right back
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: to ignoring me. There is one person here we go
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: that really perks him up, and that is my sister.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: My sister's almost twenty years younger than I am. She
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: married a high school sweetheart at a young age, and
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: they moved to Wayi when he joined the army, and
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: unfortunately her husband died of COVID, so she moved back
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: to Philly to be near family. I knew back in
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: the day that my husband had a crush on her
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: because all the guys, uh, here we go. Now, she's
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: always had long handed, teeny tiny waistline with hipson. After
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: two children, she still got a nice body. My mother
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: and I get so tickled. He would go, he go
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: to line park right here. My mother and I get
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: so tickled when my husband is around my sister. He
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: damnedar sniffs the ad when she walked by. All right, now,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: we asked, sniff it.
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: It's amazing how nice he can be to her. And
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: I'm just glad to know that something or somebody can
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: revive him every once in a while. Philly, are you
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: really happy about this? Are you and your mother really
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: tickled every time your sister come back. Or are you
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: aching from jealousy like I think you are? And do
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: you have a reason to be jealous? Well, rightfully. So,
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: if your husband gets excited about the presence of another
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: woman and it ain't you, of course you're gonna be jealous.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: That's a natural thing to do, and you should be.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: My oldest sister is the hater in the family, and
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: she's the one that always keeps up mess. She told
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: me I need to keep an eye on our little
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: sister and my husband. Oh okay, so now the young
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: girl is a killer and your older sister is a hate.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: The young sister is a killer, you know, kill a body, killer, hair,
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: kill a waistline, she banging, she's all guys have been
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: attracted her. And then your older sister just a hater.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: There is no way. Here's a letter in the whole letter,
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Shirley that you did not gonna help me with you.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: There's no way she's attracted to him. Did you hear that?
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: There is no way she is attracted to him because
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: I haven't been attracted to him in years. There's the
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: letter right there. These two people tired of each other.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: He ignoring you. Yeah, you ain't even attracted to the
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: man and you ain't been attracted to him in years.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: So how do you think she's been behaving to this
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: man who she's not attracted to. If you stop liking
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: your husband, you can love a person and not like her.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: But you said you have not been attracted to him
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: in years, and he know it. So now all this
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: talking you doing, what what am I listening for? You
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: ain't attracted to me, you ain't doing nothing with me?
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Then come your little sister, who she fine are here?
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: I didn't say it was her fault. I'm just telling
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: you that there's two people. No, Chirley, what it sounded
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: like is you. He was trying to break up, his.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Need to break up, But I was just two people
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: who are sick of each other.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: But you'd have dumped it all on the man, talking
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: about you need to keep out on your little sister,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: you need to keep out on him. But she said
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: there's no way they're attracted to him because she ain't
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: been attracted to him.
- 1:05:24Speaker 11: But that doesn't mean that doesn't mean that she can't
- 1:05:26Speaker 11: be attracted other people can't be attracted to him just
- 1:05:28Speaker 11: because she's not attracted to him?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: That doesn't mean that And I said that am my response?
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Anyway? Should I be worried about them? Or should I
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: let this old man enjoy his crush on my dolling babysitter.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: You ain't got to let.
- 1:05:43Speaker 13: Him do it?
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: He doing it anyway, You're already doing it. You and
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: your mama say you're already tickled about it, and I
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: don't think you are. I think you're jealous. But then
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: you're not attracted to him, and you haven't been in years.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: So what do you want me to say? Should I
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: let him have his Why are you gonna stop it?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: If you ain't attracted to him? Could it be hitting
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: attracted to you?
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: No?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Mo, Well that's why I'm saying it. In my life,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: I didn't. No, she treats him like crap because she
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: has like crap. That's because they're both tired of each other.
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: You don't want young lady. If you're going to start
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: changing your answer as rebuttal services you, well you brought
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: me into it. You brought me into it, mister big lips.

- 1:07:38Speaker 14: Land Night, Poland, Yeah, yeah, Florida. Uh you know, but

- 1:07:53Speaker 14: Nobody no, here am Timo. So he's been he's been well, well,

- 1:08:03Speaker 14: he he out, you know, he just Hey, I'm just.
- 1:08:05Speaker 9: So, what is the announcement for the I don't know

- 1:08:32Speaker 14: he's like to think about after losing to dinner, he

- 1:08:55Speaker 14: probably gonna be an owner of a team after he retired.
- 1:08:58Speaker 8: You know.

- 1:09:06Speaker 1: the banana boat for.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Real?
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Raal Lebron. I mean Carmelo fell in the ocean and
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: the current pulled them in.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: Lebron.
- 1:09:15Speaker 9: Yeah, that's what he needed to do after the time,
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: and it takes some swimming lessons.

- 1:10:23Speaker 1: All right, Steve, here we go.
- 1:10:24Speaker 11: Vivian in Greenville, South Carolina, says, my husband is retired.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: And he's home most days.
- 1:10:30Speaker 11: I've been at I've been a stay at home mom
- 1:10:32Speaker 11: for years, and recently I had a fling with the
- 1:10:35Speaker 11: UPS driver that normally delivers to our area. He had
- 1:10:39Speaker 11: an accident and I haven't heard from him in a
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: couple of weeks. But the other day he texted me
- 1:10:43Speaker 11: out of the blue, and my husband read the text.
- 1:10:46Speaker 11: The UPS guy said he's back at work and ready
- 1:10:49Speaker 11: to resume our normal delivery schedule.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: I told my husband, when do you want you peck?
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I got a I haven't read that text.

- 1:12:49Speaker 11: I told him that's fine as long as he can
- 1:12:51Speaker 11: still get away to have sex with me whenever I

- 1:14:10Speaker 9: Oh, he's definitely all and I don't really care.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Coming and coming up in twenty minutes after the hours.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: That's why it ain't asked Tommy because of this.
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: This SRVY the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this,
- 1:14:26Speaker 11: you're listening Harvey Morning Show. We all like ice cream
- 1:14:32Speaker 11: on this show. We all love us some ice cream. Well,
- 1:14:35Speaker 11: here's a question. Would you be down to try the
- 1:14:37Speaker 11: world's most expensive ice cream? It costs almost seven thousand
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: dollars a scoop seven thousand dollars of school.
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: A Japanese ice cream company has taken some of the
- 1:14:49Speaker 11: rarest and most lux ingredients to make this one of
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: a kind ice cream.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:14:54Speaker 11: The Guinness Book of World Records confirmed that the company's
- 1:14:57Speaker 11: record breaking price of the ice cream, which is made
- 1:15:00Speaker 11: from a white truffle grown in Alba, Italy and a
- 1:15:04Speaker 11: Parmigano reggiano.
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: Okay, whatever that is, let me get a scoob of that.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Thank you, Parmagano reggiano.
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: It also contains a Japanese sake that consists of eight
- 1:15:19Speaker 11: percent alcohol in my ice cream, the luxury treat. It's
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: called Silato, and the company plans to soon release more
- 1:15:26Speaker 11: flavors that will contain champagne and caviar. So, Sen, here's
- 1:15:31Speaker 11: a question. Would you try it as seven thousand dollars
- 1:15:34Speaker 11: in scoop? It's got all these things in it that
- 1:15:36Speaker 11: you like it, ice cream, champagne, caviar.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't make no sense. I'm just trying to
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: come over with some sound exquisite. Yeah, to make ice
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: cream you need milk. Now, all these truffles Parmisano riveol
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: and where the heil is your milk coming from them?
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: That's what ice cream is. Now you're talking about some
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: damn truffles and some caveon man. No, And if you
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: did it to me, I ain't got no seven thousand
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: dollars from no Scoop that I ain't gonna like it.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: That's a lot of money.
- 1:16:08Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: the hour, will play around it.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Would you rather right after this you're listening morning show
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: and it's time now to play around it?
- 1:16:20Speaker 11: Would you rather? Would you rather read your last text?
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: The last text you got. Would you rather read that
- 1:16:27Speaker 11: out loud? Or would you rather take your ex fishing rather?
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: Damn?
- 1:16:33Speaker 10: I read all my texting, all of them, all of them,
- 1:16:41Speaker 10: let's hear it.
- 1:16:42Speaker 14: I'll be out there just reading where you're at and
- 1:16:45Speaker 14: see if we want to last.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Well, it ain't no where in the hell I can
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: go fishing with my ex, because then I got too
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: much to explain. I'm really lying now. She was never
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: out here on this post car y'all take off. Yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I don't know what happened to her. So I was
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: just fishing. I turned around. She wouldn't own it no
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: more now. But no, I didn't kill him. I just
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: don't know what happened to her.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I don't know she disappeared, sir.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: I'm telling you I was fishing, well, sir, how long
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: had it been before you noticed? She wasn't now, I
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: don't know. When I turned around, I didn't see. I
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: just said thank you Lord, and I just looked at
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: the blessed Now. I just kept fishing.
- 1:17:32Speaker 9: My last text, Jackie said, do you want creases in
- 1:17:34Speaker 9: these pants? She had to clean them? Do you want
- 1:17:38Speaker 9: do you want to flat? That's it. That's that's my
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: last tick.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Would you.
- 1:17:50Speaker 11: Would you rather miraculously have hair for one whole month
- 1:17:54Speaker 11: or would you rather have nice abs for one whole month?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Well hair or abs hair?
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Or hold on, hold on, Tommy, hold on, that's gonna be.

- 1:18:23Speaker 2: No, I'm just trying to figure out what you're gonna do,
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: because you're the one that's like, you know, got the
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: biggest decision. Me and Tommy's answer is obviously clear. We're
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: gonna go with them, al because we ain't got no help. You,
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: on the other hand, have a decision to walk a
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: thin line right now on your zoom right now, junr
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: on your zoom photo right now? Yeah, back then by.
- 1:18:51Speaker 10: If you move them headphone back so we can really

- 1:18:57Speaker 10: blocking it?
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Tommy, tummy, this this is what you got to look at.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Close to his is the head.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Would you rather sleep with your eyes open or chew
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: with your mouth open? Which one sleep with.
- 1:19:18Speaker 9: Mouth open?
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: I do that anyway. I've been talking all the time.

- 1:20:52Speaker 1: all right, Steve, it's on you.
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: Uh you know.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: I think I want to share this through something that
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: I was thinking and dealing with recently, and it has
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: to do with gratitude. I just realized something. I went
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: through a period of time where I was asking God
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: for so many things, and I know people out there
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: that listening to me going with you ought to be
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: grateful for what you got. Well, see, I'm human now
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: and I'm just having a human moment with you to
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: share with you what was actually going on. I had
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: gone through a period and maybe some people can relate
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: to this. I was just had so many requests, so
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: many things I wanted to see happened, so many things
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: I wanted to see differently to start working, so many
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: plans I had made, so many goals I had set
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: that I was just constantly in search of the answer
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: to those prayers, and I wanted God to pick up
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: the pace. I wanted him to speed up this prairie request.
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: Because this request has been going on for quite some time.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: I actually I've grown weary of waiting. But a funny
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: thing happened in my quest a lot of requests I
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: was asking. He started letting some things happen to me
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: that would force me to look at some things differently.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: So like, for example, if I was asking God to
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: help me with my health, I want to lean out.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Then what he did was he actually allowed some things
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: to happen that would cause me to have to focus
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: on my health, that would bring about the necessary things
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: that would help me to lean out. But he had
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: to take me through the fire. Everything everything you want
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: is on the other side of comfortable. So you know,
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: I was comfortably eating whatever I wanted to do. I
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: was comfortably having ice cream, comfortably eating dessert, comfortably eating pasta, bread, butter, sugar,
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: ice tea, whatever I wanted to do. But what I
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: wanted to start in better shape was on the other
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: side of that. I had to get out my comfort zone.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: So I had a couple of health issues and it
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: caused me to come home and start focusing on it.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: But it also made me come home and realize that
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: on top of all the stuff I was asking God for, Hey, Steve,
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: had you forgot what he's done for you? Have you
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: forgot to constantly keep the praise of gratitude on your
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: lips for what he's done, because don't get so wrapped
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: up and caught up and you forget the what you got.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: And that's what it happened to me. I was so
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: deliberately praying because I think I was being faithful right
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: by pray without ceasing. So I thought I was doing
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: the right thing by constantly talking to him, But I
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: was constantly talking to him about wanting more. And then
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: what I was failing to do in that human moment
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: of mine was I was failing to ever be ever
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: grateful for everything that I had.
- 1:23:58Speaker 9: So he caused me to have.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: To come home and sit down because now you've got
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: these health issues you got to deal with, So now
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: you got to sit still. But while you're sitting still
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: dealing with these health issues, I want you to take
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: a look around at what I've done. So I'm asking
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: all of you today, have you taken time to really
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: realize with all that you pray re quest you have
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: for God with all of your wants, ambitions, aspirations and gold.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: You got to take our time every single day to
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: thank him for what you have, to thank him for
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: what he's already done. And I was just guilty of that.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: I just wasn't really doing it the right way. And
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: I just wanted to remind everybody to not lose sight
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: of what you have and the quest for what you want.
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: It's a it's a it's it's a thin line between
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: being grateful and trusting and and and and and showing
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: gratitude because in the and the trusting that He'll make
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: your dreams come true with everything, don't forget to thank
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: him for what he's already done. I was guilty of that.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: I just want to remind you all every day, every
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: day to show gratitude. Steve Harvey. Every day show gratitude,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Steve Harvey. Do not wake up in the morning without
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: putting your feet on the ground saying thank you for
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: everything He's done for you. Don't let your eyes close
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: at night without thanking him for that day, and then
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: all through the day, just say thank you. Now, you
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: could put your request in, but if you had a
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: gratitude in the morning, throughout the day, and at night.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: I think those requests are a little bit more in line.
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: That's what I found for myself. Hope that helps you
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: out today. If it don't, we'll be back here tomorrow.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: God willing with something else that maybe it will. Y'all
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: have a great day today, Spend some time loving people.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: from you. Take care of yourself, don't over indulge, and
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: take care of your health, y'all. The most important things
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: we have is our health and our time. If you
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: out of either one of them, you in trouble. Take
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: care of your health, everybody, it'd be great. Those are
