Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you, Senator.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Back in January of.
- 0:08Speaker 2: This year, there was a prediction that was made on
- 0:12Speaker 2: this show. And the prediction that was made on this show,
- 0:19Speaker 2: I just want to start by playing it.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You said this.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I'm going to make a prediction right now, Ben, this
- 0:25Speaker 3: is not what I like. My prediction is, in December
- 0:29Speaker 3: of twenty twenty four, Joe Biden will pardon Hunter Biden. Really,
- 0:37Speaker 3: that's my prediction. He'll be after the election, very likely
- 0:41Speaker 3: win or lose. You say he'll do it no matter
- 0:43Speaker 3: what win or lose. If Biden were to win, I
- 0:47Speaker 3: think he'll delay the pardon until right before Hunter goes
- 0:50Speaker 3: to jail. But if Biden is losing, I'd put the
- 0:53Speaker 3: odds at ninety five percent that in December of this year,
- 0:57Speaker 3: if Biden has just lost the general election, that he
- 1:00Speaker 3: pardons his son and he gives him a scot free
- 1:02Speaker 3: get out of jail pass. And so understand, Hunter's legal
- 1:08Speaker 3: strategy is delay eleven months, delay eleven months, don't go
- 1:12Speaker 3: to jail for eleven months, and then Daddy gives you
- 1:15Speaker 3: get out of jail free card. And it's why the
- 1:18Speaker 3: House needs to keep their eye on the ball.
- 1:20Speaker 2: That was January the twelfth Center, twenty twenty four. If
- 1:23Speaker 2: you were listening to Verdict, then this was one hundred
- 1:25Speaker 2: percent predicted and it happened exactly how you said it would.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Well to be fair, it was ninety five percent predicted then,
- 1:32Speaker 3: and then last summer I raised it to one hundred percent.
- 1:35Speaker 3: But if you listen to Verdict, you knew this was
- 1:38Speaker 3: going to happen. It is ten fifty three pm on
- 1:41Speaker 3: December first. We are recording this podcast right now. On
- 1:44Speaker 3: December first, Joe Biden did exactly what we told you
- 1:48Speaker 3: was going to do eleven months ago. He pardoned his
- 1:50Speaker 3: son Hunter Biden. Never mind about the corruption, never mind
- 1:54Speaker 3: about the gun offenses, never mind about the drug offenses,
- 1:57Speaker 3: never mind about the tax offenses. No man is above
- 2:00Speaker 3: the law unless your name is Joe Biden and the
- 2:02Speaker 3: entire Biden family. We're going to break that down, explain
- 2:06Speaker 3: what just happened with the Hunter Biden pardon. Today, we're
- 2:10Speaker 3: also going to talk about Donald Trump's nomination of Cash
- 2:12Speaker 3: Bettel as the director of the FBI. The left is
- 2:14Speaker 3: losing their mind. The Democrats are freaking out. The media
- 2:17Speaker 3: is freaking out. We're going to break down why they're
- 2:19Speaker 3: freaking out and why this is a very good thing
- 2:21Speaker 3: for America. And finally a terrific victory, the Chinese communists
- 2:27Speaker 3: have released three Americans from unjust imprisonment, including Mark Sweden.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Mark Swodin was a Texan who was imprisoned in China
- 2:35Speaker 3: for twelve years. I've been leading the fight to bring
- 2:37Speaker 3: Mark home. Mark is back in America. Three Americans are
- 2:41Speaker 3: back in America. We're going to talk about that as well.
- 2:43Speaker 2: It's such an incredible story, especially around Thanksgiving, and it's
- 2:46Speaker 2: an important one that the media really isn't covering I
- 2:49Speaker 2: think the way they should, and that's why I love
- 2:51Speaker 2: doing this show with you. And we're going to deal
- 2:52Speaker 2: with that in a moment. I want to tell you
- 2:54Speaker 2: real quick about New Year's resolutions. A little over gosh
- 2:59Speaker 2: a year, A year and three months ago, I made
- 3:03Speaker 2: a decision that I was going to get back into shape,
- 3:06Speaker 2: that I was going to lose weight, and I was
- 3:08Speaker 2: going to be honestly a better example for my kids.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I wanted to make sure that I was in great
- 3:13Speaker 2: shape so they would always have their dad around as
- 3:15Speaker 2: long as they can, and That is when I decided
- 3:19Speaker 2: that I needed some help because I always felt tired,
- 3:22Speaker 2: I was feeling fatigued, I didn't feel like myself anymore.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And that is exactly when I found Chalk Now. Chalk
- 3:29Speaker 2: is incredible because they actually help boost your testosterum levels
- 3:34Speaker 2: up to twenty percent over ninety days. And the problem
- 3:38Speaker 2: is this, men's testosterrom levels are off a cliff historically
- 3:41Speaker 2: at an all time low. And that is exactly why
- 3:45Speaker 2: I decided, all right, I'm going to try Chalk Now.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You got to check out and see what they can
- 3:49Speaker 2: do for you, because they were helping men just like
- 3:51Speaker 2: you and I maximize your masculinity by boosting your testosterrum
- 3:55Speaker 2: levels up to twenty percent over ninety days. Now I've
- 3:57Speaker 2: lost over seventy I think twenty seven seventy eight pounds
- 4:01Speaker 2: down a little over a year, and I would not
- 4:03Speaker 2: have been able to do it without Chalk.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It's manufactured right here in the US of A.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Chalk's natural herbal supplements are clinically proven to have game
- 4:11Speaker 2: changing effects on your energy, on your focus, on your mood.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So check them out and I'm going to save your
- 4:16Speaker 1: money as well.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Go to choq dot com that's chalk dot com and
- 4:20Speaker 2: use the code ben for a massive discount on any
- 4:23Speaker 2: subscription for life. That's Cchoq dot com. Code been for
- 4:28Speaker 2: lifetime savings on any subscription limit time offering. The best
- 4:32Speaker 2: part is subscriptions are cancable at any time. Choq dot
- 4:35Speaker 2: com code been for lifetime savings. So all right, let's
- 4:39Speaker 2: start with the narrative and work our way back. When
- 4:42Speaker 2: this news broke tonight, we were all on text message
- 4:46Speaker 2: and this was the first part was Joe Biden pardons
- 4:49Speaker 2: soun Hunter. I wasn't surprised by it. You predicted it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: You weren't surprised by. What I was surprised was the
- 4:56Speaker 2: amount of time of this of that it covers. He's
- 4:59Speaker 2: basically off the for everything that involves the Biden crime family.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And this is after Joe Biden repeatedly promised that he
- 5:07Speaker 2: would not do this, that he would it would honor
- 5:10Speaker 2: and respect the justice system and the juries and whatever
- 5:14Speaker 2: they decide to do with his son.
- 5:16Speaker 1: That was also all a lie.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And I think the part that was the most shocking
- 5:21Speaker 2: is how the media is covering this now. And I
- 5:24Speaker 2: want to start with that they're all saying to the
- 5:26Speaker 2: American people will look, he already lost his son, one
- 5:29Speaker 2: son who died a brain cancer. This is just a
- 5:33Speaker 2: dad being a dad. I don't buy that for a second.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I think this is him protecting the crime family and
- 5:40Speaker 2: the bag man, and that protects him. I don't think
- 5:43Speaker 2: this is compassion from a father. Your reaction to that.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Well, listen what Joe Biden said today. He put out
- 5:49Speaker 3: a lengthy statement. Let me read his statement. Then we're
- 5:51Speaker 3: going to talk about what it means. Here's what Joe
- 5:53Speaker 3: Biden said. Quote today, I signed a pardon for my
- 5:56Speaker 3: son Hunter. From the day I took office, I said
- 5:58Speaker 3: I would not interfere with the Justice Department's decision making,
- 6:01Speaker 3: and I kept my word even as I watched my
- 6:03Speaker 3: son being selectively and unfairly prosecuted without aggravating factors like
- 6:08Speaker 3: use in a crime, multiple purchases, are buying a weapon
- 6:11Speaker 3: as a straw purchaser. People are almost never brought to
- 6:14Speaker 3: trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out
- 6:16Speaker 3: a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes
- 6:19Speaker 3: because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with
- 6:22Speaker 3: interest and penalties are typically given non criminal resolutions. It
- 6:27Speaker 3: is clear that Hunter was treated differently. The charges in
- 6:30Speaker 3: his case came about only after several of my political
- 6:32Speaker 3: opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose
- 6:36Speaker 3: my election. Then a carefully negotiated plea deal agreed to
- 6:40Speaker 3: by the Department of Justice and unraveled in the courtroom,
- 6:43Speaker 3: with a number of my political opponents in Congress taking
- 6:46Speaker 3: credit for bringing political pressure on the process. Had the
- 6:49Speaker 3: plea deal held, it would have been a fair reasonable
- 6:51Speaker 3: resolution of Hunter's cases. No reasonable person who looks at
- 6:55Speaker 3: the facts of Hunter's cases can reach any other conclusion
- 6:59Speaker 3: than Hunter singled out only because he is my son,
- 7:03Speaker 3: and that is wrong. There has been an effort to
- 7:05Speaker 3: break Hunter, who has been five and a half years sober,
- 7:09Speaker 3: even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selected prosecution.
- 7:13Speaker 3: In trying to break Hunter, they've tried to break me.
- 7:16Speaker 3: There's no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough
- 7:19Speaker 3: is enough. For my entire career, I have followed a
- 7:21Speaker 3: simple principle. Just tell the American people the truth. They'll
- 7:25Speaker 3: be fair minded. Here's the truth. I believe in the
- 7:29Speaker 3: justice system. But as I have wrestled with this, I
- 7:31Speaker 3: also believe raw politics has infected this process, and it
- 7:35Speaker 3: has led to a miscarriage of justice. And once I
- 7:38Speaker 3: made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in
- 7:41Speaker 3: delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a
- 7:44Speaker 3: father and a president would come to this decision. Well,
- 7:48Speaker 3: let me start with his ending. I understand why I
- 7:50Speaker 3: said in January, Joe Biden would pardon Hunter Biden. And
- 7:54Speaker 3: understand that to anyone who listens to this podcast, it's
- 7:58Speaker 3: not a surprise. It is obvious Hunter Biden is not
- 8:01Speaker 3: some lonely crackhead who just sort of went astray. That's
- 8:06Speaker 3: what Joe Biden, the entire White House has tried to
- 8:08Speaker 3: paint him as. Hunter Biden's business was selling access to Daddy.
- 8:14Speaker 3: The real crook here is Joe Biden. And this is
- 8:17Speaker 3: something that in this podcast we've broken down in elaborate detail,
- 8:23Speaker 3: the evidence of criminality that Joe Biden, the Biden family,
- 8:26Speaker 3: they made tens of millions of dollars selling favors from
- 8:31Speaker 3: Joe Biden. Listen, nobody pays Hunter Biden. Nobody pays a
- 8:36Speaker 3: crackhead money when he has no marketable services. He was
- 8:40Speaker 3: not selling anything other than Daddy. So when Joe Biden
- 8:44Speaker 3: is saying, oh it is terrible. No one's prosecuted for this.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Number One, I'll tell you this. If you use crack
- 8:50Speaker 3: cocaine with prostitutes, illegally buying guns with guns, you will
- 8:53Speaker 3: be prosecuting.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You will go to jail.
- 8:56Speaker 3: You don't. People not named Biden don't get away with that.
- 9:00Speaker 3: By the way, if you also defraud the federal government
- 9:03Speaker 3: out of millions of dollars of taxes, you will be prosecuted.
- 9:05Speaker 3: That is true as well. But the real corruption. Listen,
- 9:08Speaker 3: the Biden Justice Department decline to prosecute, deliberately allow the
- 9:13Speaker 3: statute of limitation to expire on many of the most
- 9:16Speaker 3: egregious examples of corruption, everything that implicated the big guy. Understand,
- 9:22Speaker 3: this is all about Joe Biden. It's not about Hunter Biden.
- 9:25Speaker 3: So when Joe Biden entered this pardon, it is about
- 9:28Speaker 3: protecting his own rear. End. Does he love his son short?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Does he want to protect his son? Sure, it's why
- 9:33Speaker 3: I was certain he would grant this pardon. But if
- 9:36Speaker 3: you really love your son, you don't send out your
- 9:38Speaker 3: son who is an addict, to be the front man,
- 9:41Speaker 3: to be the bag man in collecting millions of dollars
- 9:44Speaker 3: selling access to you, Joe Biden was perfectly willing to
- 9:48Speaker 3: use his son as the point person and plan to
- 9:51Speaker 3: blame it on the addiction. And so I've got to
- 9:54Speaker 3: say Joe Biden's claiming, well, gosh, it's just unfair he
- 9:58Speaker 3: was targeted. What is unfair, what is not right, is
- 10:02Speaker 3: that the Biden family made for decades a practice of
- 10:06Speaker 3: selling favors from Joe Biden that is fundamentally corrupt. And
- 10:11Speaker 3: let me say finally, in Joe Biden's statement, he talks about, well,
- 10:15Speaker 3: there was a plea deal from the Department of Justice
- 10:17Speaker 3: and then it collapsed. Well, you know what, this podcast
- 10:20Speaker 3: played a significant role in causing that that that plea
- 10:24Speaker 3: deal would corrupt out to collapse. And why because we
- 10:29Speaker 3: shined a light on it. Because it was indefensible that
- 10:32Speaker 3: the plea deal was zero jail time, a slap on
- 10:35Speaker 3: the wrist, which Joe Biden said, well, gosh, that would
- 10:37Speaker 3: be fair. Don't punish my son. And understand, this is
- 10:40Speaker 3: not about Hunter. This is about Joe.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Let's talk about the length of this pardon, because I
- 10:47Speaker 2: think it's not just the pardon for these two charges,
- 10:50Speaker 2: it's also Hey, this covers virtually all of the corruption
- 10:54Speaker 2: and all of the sins of the Biden crime family.
- 10:58Speaker 2: When they knew they had millions of dowers coming into
- 11:01Speaker 2: their son's bank account that was spending it on drugs
- 11:04Speaker 2: and and everything else that we know about from his laptop.
- 11:08Speaker 2: He said, Hey, you can't go after my son basically
- 11:11Speaker 2: for anything. This is a pardon for all the bad
- 11:15Speaker 2: things we've done.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Well, and listen, if you're gonna do it, you're gonna
- 11:19Speaker 3: make it as broad as possible because you don't care
- 11:21Speaker 3: about the press blowback. And at the end of the day,
- 11:23Speaker 3: Joe Biden's lost, Kamala Harris's lost. They don't care about
- 11:26Speaker 3: the political consequences. That's why it was gonna be December.
- 11:29Speaker 3: It wasn't gonna be November. It wasn't gonna be January, December.
- 11:31Speaker 3: It was gonna be the month it was. And I
- 11:33Speaker 3: want you to understand, for more than a year, Joe Biden,
- 11:37Speaker 3: every Democrat has been lying to the American people repeatedly
- 11:40Speaker 3: and brazenly. I want you to listen to Korean John
- 11:43Speaker 3: Pierre in December twenty twenty three, here's what she had
- 11:45Speaker 3: to say.
- 11:46Speaker 4: The President would not pardon or community sensus for it.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Stun Hunter I want to make sure that that is
- 11:52Speaker 4: not going to change field for the next six months.
- 11:53Speaker 4: The President's stay.
- 11:56Speaker 5: It's still a no. It's still an egg, always nail.
- 11:58Speaker 5: It's still a no. It will be you know, it
- 12:01Speaker 5: is a no. And I don't have anything else to add.
- 12:03Speaker 5: Will he pardoned his son?
- 12:04Speaker 4: No?
- 12:06Speaker 1: Well, partner his son?
- 12:07Speaker 3: No?
- 12:07Speaker 2: And she's actually banging her hand on the podium. You
- 12:10Speaker 2: can hear it.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Okay, So let's play now, Kareean John Pierre in August
- 12:14Speaker 3: of twenty twenty three.
- 12:16Speaker 6: We'll go back to the first question of the briefing.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I know you said not a lot of changed this yesterday,
- 12:20Speaker 4: and it's a personal matter, but from a presidential perspective,
- 12:23Speaker 4: is there any possibility that the president would end up
- 12:26Speaker 4: pardoning his son?
- 12:28Speaker 3: Okay, Now, let's do Joe Biden himself in June of
- 12:32Speaker 3: twenty twenty four.
- 12:34Speaker 7: I'm extremely proud of my son Hunter. He is overcome
- 12:37Speaker 7: an addiction. He is He's one of the greatest, most
- 12:41Speaker 7: decent men I know. And I am satisfied that I'm
- 12:45Speaker 7: not going to do anything I said. I advide by
- 12:48Speaker 7: the jury decision, and I will do that, and I
- 12:51Speaker 7: will not partner him.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Okay, Let's play another interview again from June of twenty
- 12:55Speaker 3: twenty four. Joe Biden again on the same topic.
- 12:57Speaker 6: As we sit here in Normandy, your son Hunter is
- 13:01Speaker 6: on trial, and I know that you cannot speak about
- 13:04Speaker 6: an ongoing federal prosecution, but let me ask you. Will
- 13:09Speaker 6: you accept the jury's outcome, their verdict, no matter what
- 13:12Speaker 6: it is.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yes?
- 13:14Speaker 6: And have you ruled out a pardon for your son?
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yes?
- 13:17Speaker 2: I mean the guys a patholgical liar everywhere we go.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Final clip. Let's let's play Kreeen John Pierre once again
- 13:24Speaker 3: on the same topic.
- 13:25Speaker 4: The president would not pardon or community sense for it,
- 13:28Speaker 4: stun Hunter. I want to make sure that that is
- 13:31Speaker 4: not going to change field for the next six months.
- 13:32Speaker 4: The President's stay.
- 13:34Speaker 5: It's still a no. It's still an egill always. You know,
- 13:37Speaker 5: it's still a no. It will be a no. It
- 13:39Speaker 5: is a no. And I don't have anything else to add.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Will he pardon his son?
- 13:43Speaker 4: No?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Pretty consistent with their lies.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Look understand, every person listening to Joe Biden, every person
- 13:52Speaker 3: listening to Queen John Pierre, knew that they were lying.
- 13:55Speaker 3: The reporter asking that question knew that they were lying.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Kareean John Pierre, she knew she was lying, and Joe
- 14:01Speaker 3: Biden every time he said it, knew he was lying.
- 14:04Speaker 3: We said on this podcast, then they are lying. And
- 14:09Speaker 3: it was a cynical effort to gaslight the American people.
- 14:12Speaker 3: They hoped at the time, they hoped Joe Biden would win.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Later they hoped Kamala Harris would win. But their approach
- 14:18Speaker 3: was simple, We're gonna lie to you. We're gonna lie
- 14:20Speaker 3: to you. We're gonna lie to you. Don't you like
- 14:22Speaker 3: our happy lies? And the plan was always, always, always
- 14:26Speaker 3: to issue the pardon because it covers up for the
- 14:30Speaker 3: criminality that Joe Biden is right at the nexus of.
- 14:33Speaker 2: So let's talk about this future and the Republicans and
- 14:38Speaker 2: what they should do. There was a lot of people
- 14:40Speaker 2: asking the question, Okay, is there anything that you can
- 14:43Speaker 2: do about this or is this just the world we
- 14:45Speaker 2: live in now where if you're the president you can
- 14:47Speaker 2: be as corrupt as how if you're a Democrat and
- 14:49Speaker 2: you've got people to cover for you. Then there's people saying, well,
- 14:52Speaker 2: hold on, what about the other crimes involved the other
- 14:54Speaker 2: family members? We know a lot of payments went to
- 14:57Speaker 2: a lot of people. The last name Biden when they
- 14:58Speaker 2: were selling access to your government? Is this the quote?
- 15:02Speaker 1: End of this? Politically move on? And that's just what
- 15:04Speaker 1: it is.
- 15:05Speaker 2: And we all know that he's corrupt, and we know
- 15:07Speaker 2: he lied to us, we know he uses power, and
- 15:09Speaker 2: we know he sold access to the United States government.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Well, here is the text of the pardon that Joe
- 15:15Speaker 3: Biden signed. It is a pardon quote for those offenses
- 15:19Speaker 3: against the United States which he has committed, or may
- 15:24Speaker 3: have committed, or taken part in during the period from
- 15:29Speaker 3: January first, twenty fourteen, through December one, twenty twenty four
- 15:36Speaker 3: including but not limited to, all offenses charged or prosecuted,
- 15:41Speaker 3: including any that have resulted in convictions by Special Counsel
- 15:45Speaker 3: David C. Weiss in Docket number one twenty three CRS
- 15:49Speaker 3: zero zero zero six y one dash m N in
- 15:52Speaker 3: the United States District Court for the District of Delaware
- 15:54Speaker 3: and docket number two two three CRS zero zero five
- 15:58Speaker 3: nine nine MCS one on in the United States District
- 16:01Speaker 3: Court for the Central District of California. So, Ben, how
- 16:04Speaker 3: do you like that every single federal offense that you
- 16:08Speaker 3: have committed, or you may have committed, or taken a
- 16:12Speaker 3: part in, for a decade from January first, twenty fourteen
- 16:16Speaker 3: to December one, twenty twenty four they're all erased clean.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I don't know that you could write a broader pardon
- 16:24Speaker 3: other than listen, I'm president, and I got to say,
- 16:27Speaker 3: by the way, your question is there is there anything
- 16:29Speaker 3: you can do about it? There is very, very little.
- 16:32Speaker 3: The pardon power under the Constitution is exceptionally broad. The
- 16:35Speaker 3: president has the ability to pardon any single federal defense.
- 16:40Speaker 3: In this case, he's pardoning every single federal offense Hunter
- 16:43Speaker 3: Biden may or may not have committed for over a decade,
- 16:47Speaker 3: and those federal offenses it is now impossible to prosecute him,
- 16:51Speaker 3: impossible to hold him liable for them. Now he's still
- 16:54Speaker 3: liable for state offenses. But there has not been There
- 16:59Speaker 3: have not been any state prosecutions, and so this is
- 17:02Speaker 3: the consequence. This was always the outcome. It's why. Look,
- 17:07Speaker 3: we've talked about how the impeachment power, the text of
- 17:11Speaker 3: the Constitution provides the impeachment power for treason, bribery, or
- 17:15Speaker 3: other high crimes or misdemeanors. At the end of the day,
- 17:18Speaker 3: much of the conduct that has been alleged here is
- 17:20Speaker 3: in the nature of bribery is in the nature of
- 17:23Speaker 3: paying off millions of dollars to Joe Biden for official
- 17:26Speaker 3: for official favors, and yet the Department of Justice had
- 17:29Speaker 3: zero interest in examining it, The Democrats in Congress had
- 17:32Speaker 3: zero interested in examining it. In the media had zero
- 17:35Speaker 3: interest in examining it. And so as a consequence, Hunter
- 17:38Speaker 3: Biden is now going to get off scot free, which
- 17:41Speaker 3: was abundantly clear from the outset this was always the plan.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Final question, Yes, Hunter Biden is pardon for everything in
- 17:52Speaker 2: this as you said, a sweeping pardon that I've never
- 17:55Speaker 2: seen before at this level and in government. From what
- 17:59Speaker 2: we've seen in the history of my lifetime, we've never
- 18:02Speaker 2: seen something this broad. So the last question I have
- 18:06Speaker 2: is what about Joe Biden. Is there anything that can
- 18:11Speaker 2: be done against him? Or is it just Hey, he's
- 18:13Speaker 2: an old guy. He dropped out of the race. As
- 18:16Speaker 2: they said, we would have prosecuted him for keeping classified documents,
- 18:20Speaker 2: but no jury would ever convict him because he was
- 18:22Speaker 2: too senile to basically know what he had done in
- 18:26Speaker 2: the past. Is all of that just going to be
- 18:28Speaker 2: forgotten now because of age?
- 18:31Speaker 3: Well, let me be clear, we have seen pardons this
- 18:34Speaker 3: broad before. And so if you look, for example, at
- 18:37Speaker 3: the pardon Gerald Ford issued for Richard Nixon, here is
- 18:41Speaker 3: the operative text of that pardon. Now, therefore, I, Gerald RT. Ford,
- 18:45Speaker 3: President of the United States, pursuant to the pardon power
- 18:48Speaker 3: conferred upon me by Article two, Section two of the Constitution,
- 18:52Speaker 3: have granted, and by these presents, do grant a full,
- 18:57Speaker 3: free and absolute pardon under Richard Nixon for all offenses
- 19:01Speaker 3: against the United States which he Richard Nixon has committed
- 19:05Speaker 3: or may have committed, or taken part in during the
- 19:08Speaker 3: period from January twentieth, nineteen sixty nine, through August ninth,
- 19:12Speaker 3: nineteen seventy four. So they deliberately borrowed the language from
- 19:18Speaker 3: the pardon of Richard Nixon. And the idea was, this
- 19:20Speaker 3: is a blanket, get out of jail free car and
- 19:24Speaker 3: it's what the Constitution gives the president this authority. And
- 19:27Speaker 3: that's exactly what they did. Now, your question was what
- 19:30Speaker 3: about Joe Biden. So Joe Biden has not pardoned himself.
- 19:33Speaker 3: I don't think he will. And at the end of
- 19:35Speaker 3: the day, when the Trump Department of Justice comes into office,
- 19:38Speaker 3: there will be a question do they go and prosecute
- 19:41Speaker 3: Joe Biden. My guess is the answer will be now
- 19:44Speaker 3: that Joe Biden, his dementia has risen to a level
- 19:48Speaker 3: at this point that I think he's probably going to
- 19:50Speaker 3: ride off into the sunset and be done. Maybe I'm wrong,
- 19:54Speaker 3: but my suspicion is Joe Biden will not face accountability
- 19:58Speaker 3: for the corruption that Hunter was the bag man for,
- 20:01Speaker 3: and that is his entire family profited from.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Incredible and there's gonna be a lot of people listening
- 20:06Speaker 2: right now. They're gonna be angry about this. I understand it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I want to be clear, I'm angry about it too,
- 20:11Speaker 2: because it looks like the entire family, his brother, and
- 20:14Speaker 2: every other Biden that was on the take, it's going
- 20:16Speaker 2: to get away with this in a sense. And look,
- 20:18Speaker 2: this is the corruption the Democratic Party. This is the
- 20:21Speaker 2: reason why I think Donald Trump. One of the reasons
- 20:22Speaker 2: why he win this election, why Republicans control the House
- 20:25Speaker 2: and Senate is people wanted there to be accountability at
- 20:28Speaker 2: least on election day.
- 20:30Speaker 3: May By the way, let me jump in, Ben, there
- 20:34Speaker 3: may be an exception. I don't think it's impossible. That's
- 20:37Speaker 3: the Department of Justice prosecutes Joe Biden's brother, Joe Biden's brother.
- 20:41Speaker 3: I'm not aware of any evidence that he has dementia,
- 20:44Speaker 3: that he is serious mental diminishment, and that may be
- 20:48Speaker 3: one avenue I could see the Department of Justice investigating.
- 20:51Speaker 3: And one challenge is.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Oh, hold on, I'm gonna ask now, prediction. You made
- 20:55Speaker 2: a last prediction that was good. I want one right now.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I want you to predict whether or not before the
- 21:00Speaker 2: last day January twentieth, that Joe Biden says, screw it,
- 21:04Speaker 2: I'm going to hand out pardons of my brother or
- 21:06Speaker 2: other family members.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I don't think it's impossible, but I doubt it. I
- 21:11Speaker 3: put it at less than fifty percent. Look, and I
- 21:15Speaker 3: think if you were to asked me to give odds,
- 21:18Speaker 3: my guess is that the Trump Department of Justice probably
- 21:22Speaker 3: doesn't prosecute Biden's brother, that there will be a sense
- 21:24Speaker 3: of this is water under the bridge. It's the prior administration.
- 21:28Speaker 3: It's not our concern. Let's move on. But I'm just saying,
- 21:32Speaker 3: if you were to predict one avenue, and one challenge
- 21:36Speaker 3: is in terms of whether you could prosecute Biden's brother,
- 21:39Speaker 3: a major challenge would be the statute of limitation that
- 21:42Speaker 3: many of the most corrupt actions occurred long enough that
- 21:46Speaker 3: the statute of limitations has expired. And what that means
- 21:50Speaker 3: statute limitations is in federal law. It's also true in
- 21:53Speaker 3: state law that there is a limit to how recently
- 21:57Speaker 3: the conduct must have occurred before you could prosecute it.
- 21:59Speaker 3: The idea that you can't come back and prosecute you
- 22:03Speaker 3: ben for something you did twenty years ago that you
- 22:06Speaker 3: don't remember, that the evidence is stale. There's some notion
- 22:08Speaker 3: that there needs to be finality in law and that
- 22:10Speaker 3: prosecutions need to need to occur relatively promptly after the criminality.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And so I think much of the conduct that Joe's
- 22:20Speaker 3: brother has been implicated in the statute limitations and all
- 22:23Speaker 3: likelihood has expired, and so that may prevent a prosecution.
- 22:27Speaker 3: If you're going to ask me, is there going to
- 22:29Speaker 3: be another parton for his brother? Probably not, but it's
- 22:32Speaker 3: not beyond the realm of contemplation.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Incredible. I want to deal with it.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Also, you talked about the deep state, and I want
- 22:40Speaker 2: to talk about the FBI as well, and Casha Patel
- 22:43Speaker 2: and being named FBI director by Donald Trump. Before we
- 22:46Speaker 2: get to that, though, I want to tell you about
- 22:47Speaker 2: our friends over at Patriot Mobile. If you have a
- 22:51Speaker 2: cell phone and your cell phone is with Big Mobile,
- 22:53Speaker 2: you may not realize exactly where.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Your money is going.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You may not realize that you every time you pay
- 23:00Speaker 2: that bill to Big Mobile, they're taking part of that
- 23:03Speaker 2: and they're giving it back to hard core liberal causes
- 23:05Speaker 2: candidates and radical organizations. I'm talking about organizations that are
- 23:09Speaker 2: paying for abortions right now. If you don't want your
- 23:12Speaker 2: money going there, then you need to switch to Patriot Mobile. Now,
- 23:16Speaker 2: in twenty twenty four, it's never been easier to switch
- 23:18Speaker 2: your cell phone, and you do it now literally over
- 23:21Speaker 2: the phone. With Patriot Mobile, you keep your same cell
- 23:24Speaker 2: phone number, and you can keep your same phone you
- 23:27Speaker 2: have right now or upgrade to a new one. Now, coverage,
- 23:29Speaker 2: let's talk about that. A lot of people have misconceptions thinking, oh, well,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't want to change. I like my coverage. You
- 23:35Speaker 2: don't have to worry about that now because they're all
- 23:37Speaker 2: using the same networks in the same towers. You're going
- 23:40Speaker 2: to get the exact same coverage that you're used to.
- 23:43Speaker 2: And then this is the best part. Every time you
- 23:46Speaker 2: pay your bill to Patriot Mobile, they take about five
- 23:48Speaker 2: percent of that bill at no extra cost to you,
- 23:51Speaker 2: and they give it back to conservative causes and organizations
- 23:56Speaker 2: that fight for our First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 24:00Speaker 2: fight for the rights of unborn children, and they also
- 24:03Speaker 2: stand with our veterans, our wounded warriors, and our men
- 24:07Speaker 2: and women in uniform, our police, and our firemen. If
- 24:11Speaker 2: you want your money to go to a company that
- 24:13Speaker 2: fights for your Christian conservative values every day, then switch
- 24:18Speaker 2: to Patriot Mobile. Call them nine seven to two Patriot.
- 24:22Speaker 2: That's nine seven two Patriot or Patriot Mobile dot com
- 24:27Speaker 2: slash verdict that's Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict. And
- 24:31Speaker 2: you're also going to get a free month when you
- 24:34Speaker 2: use the offer code verdict of service. Don't get fooled
- 24:37Speaker 2: by other providers pretending that they share your values anymore.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Join me and switch to America's only Christian conservative mobile provider,
- 24:45Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict or nine seven to
- 24:49Speaker 2: Patriot for your free month of service today. All right,
- 24:53Speaker 2: So we originally thought we were going to start this
- 24:55Speaker 2: show tonight. Sator talking about the FBI and Caspitel being
- 24:59Speaker 2: named the FBI director.
- 25:02Speaker 1: This is a name that Democrats do not like. Caspitel.
- 25:05Speaker 2: So, if you want to understand history, this is a
- 25:07Speaker 2: guy that actually the deep state went after when he
- 25:11Speaker 2: was working for Donald Trump the first time with Russia, Russia, Russia,
- 25:16Speaker 2: and he found out about it that when apparently Google,
- 25:21Speaker 2: five years after the fact cinema letter saying hey, we
- 25:24Speaker 2: had to disclose to you now that we gave a
- 25:27Speaker 2: bunch of your information over to the FBI. That's the
- 25:30Speaker 2: now the guy that will be running the FBI if
- 25:33Speaker 2: he gets confirmed.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Your reaction, well, I think this is a strong nomination.
- 25:38Speaker 3: I think we're seeing Democrats and we're seeing the media
- 25:42Speaker 3: freaking out, and they're freaking out not because they think
- 25:45Speaker 3: cash Betel is unqualified, but rather because they believe he
- 25:49Speaker 3: will actually do what Trump promised he would do. They
- 25:51Speaker 3: believe he will actually clean out the corruption at the FBI,
- 25:56Speaker 3: that he will take on the partisans that have burrowed
- 26:00Speaker 3: into senior career positions. This is something we've been calling
- 26:03Speaker 3: for on this podcast for a long time, to have
- 26:06Speaker 3: leadership that is willing to really root out the partisanship
- 26:09Speaker 3: and corruption and say no more. The FBI needs to
- 26:12Speaker 3: restore its integrity. I think this is a nomination. The
- 26:16Speaker 3: reason people are losing their minds is because they believe
- 26:20Speaker 3: cash Betel is going to do exactly what Trump said
- 26:22Speaker 3: he would do.
- 26:24Speaker 2: And Senator You actually talked about this on Sunday morning
- 26:27Speaker 2: on facein Nation on CBS, and it was very interesting
- 26:30Speaker 2: to see the back and forth.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Take a listen to that for people that may have
- 26:33Speaker 1: missed it.
- 26:34Speaker 8: Cash Battel suggested by Trump as the new leader of
- 26:37Speaker 8: the FBI. How enthusiastic are you about that?
- 26:43Speaker 1: Listen.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I think cash Battel is a very strong nominee. I
- 26:46Speaker 3: think the entire slate of cabinet nominees President Trump is
- 26:49Speaker 3: put forward is very strong. I believe every one of
- 26:52Speaker 3: these cabinet nominees is going to be confirmed by the Senate.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I think cash Battel is going to be confirmed by
- 26:58Speaker 3: the Senate. You look at his back. He has a
- 27:01Speaker 3: serious professional background. He was a prosecutor, He was a
- 27:04Speaker 3: public defender. He was a senior intelligence staffer on Capitol Hill.
- 27:09Speaker 3: He was a senior intelligence staffer in the White House.
- 27:12Speaker 3: He was the chief of staff of the Department of Defense.
- 27:15Speaker 3: He was the deputy Director of National Intelligence. And I
- 27:18Speaker 3: got to say all of the weeping and gnashing of teeth.
- 27:21Speaker 3: All of the people pulling their hair out are exactly
- 27:23Speaker 3: the people who are dismayed about having a real reformer
- 27:26Speaker 3: come into the FBI and clean out the corrupted partisans
- 27:32Speaker 3: who sadly have burrowed into senior career positions at the FBI.
- 27:36Speaker 3: The FBI and the Department of Justice, or two institutions
- 27:39Speaker 3: incredibly important to the rule of law in the United States.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I revere both, and one of the most tragic consequences
- 27:47Speaker 3: of four years of Joe Biden Kamala Harris is both
- 27:50Speaker 3: DOJ and the FBI have been politicized and weaponized. And
- 27:54Speaker 3: I think cash Pttel is a very strong nominee to
- 27:57Speaker 3: take on the partisan corruption in the FBI.
- 28:02Speaker 8: As you know, Senator, there isn't a vacancy at the
- 28:04Speaker 8: top of the FBI. What should become of Christopher Ray
- 28:06Speaker 8: appointed by President Trump.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Well, I think he'll make a choice. I think either
- 28:11Speaker 3: he will resign or President Trump will fire him. But
- 28:14Speaker 3: it's no secret to anybody, including Chris Ray, that he
- 28:17Speaker 3: is not going to continue to serve as the head
- 28:19Speaker 3: of the FBI under Donald Trump. Listen, if you look
- 28:24Speaker 3: at James Comy and Chris Ray, there has never been
- 28:27Speaker 3: a period in our nation's history where the FBI has
- 28:29Speaker 3: suffered a greater loss of respect, where more Americans doubt
- 28:34Speaker 3: the fundamental integrity of the FBI. And it's because James
- 28:37Speaker 3: Comy and Chris Ray presided over allowing the FBI to
- 28:41Speaker 3: become a partisan cudgel, to be used to target parents
- 28:46Speaker 3: at school board meetings, to be used to target people
- 28:48Speaker 3: who chose not to take the COVID vaccine, to be
- 28:51Speaker 3: used to target President Trump, and to target the political
- 28:54Speaker 3: opponents of Joe Biden the White House. It is tragic.
- 28:57Speaker 3: That is not what the FBI is for. That is
- 28:59Speaker 3: not what the DOJ is for. And I got to say,
- 29:02Speaker 3: Pam Bondi and Cash Patel, I think together are a
- 29:05Speaker 3: very strong slate of nominees to go and restore integrity
- 29:09Speaker 3: to both institutions.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I don't think it can be better said than that.
- 29:14Speaker 2: And that's why there's so many that are freaked out
- 29:17Speaker 2: over Patel, because he's going to go in and do
- 29:19Speaker 2: his job the way it's supposed to be done. And
- 29:22Speaker 2: also that means part of the part of this is clearinghouse.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Clearinghouse and the political partisans that are in there that
- 29:27Speaker 2: have weaponized the government.
- 29:31Speaker 3: That's exactly right, and we've seen it. You know. I
- 29:34Speaker 3: wrote a book called Justice Corrupted, How the Left is
- 29:38Speaker 3: weaponized the legal system, and in the book, I described how,
- 29:42Speaker 3: starting with Barack Obama, we saw the Department of Justice
- 29:46Speaker 3: and the FBI and the CIA and the alphabet soup
- 29:48Speaker 3: of the federal government turned into a weapon to target
- 29:52Speaker 3: and persecute the political enemies of Barack Obama. When Trump
- 29:57Speaker 3: became president, those partisans what they did is they went
- 30:01Speaker 3: into senior career positions in the agencies and from day one,
- 30:05Speaker 3: from the first day of Trump's first term, they waged
- 30:09Speaker 3: war on Donald Trump from within the deep state. They
- 30:12Speaker 3: wanted to destroy him, they wanted to stop his agenda.
- 30:16Speaker 3: They hated him. And then when Joe Biden became president,
- 30:20Speaker 3: they came out in the open. They were brazen, They
- 30:22Speaker 3: that they were completely that they were not pretending anymore.
- 30:27Speaker 3: And so listen, as I said, I think Cash Barttel
- 30:31Speaker 3: will be confirmed, and when he is, I think it
- 30:34Speaker 3: is going to be hugely important that he followed through
- 30:39Speaker 3: on those promises to get rid of the partisans. And listen,
- 30:42Speaker 3: a point I made. Major Garrett was pressing back saying,
- 30:45Speaker 3: when this is terrible that Chris Ray would be fired. Listen,
- 30:48Speaker 3: in the entire history of the FBI, we have never
- 30:52Speaker 3: seen the respect for the FBI diminished as greatly as
- 30:57Speaker 3: it has been under Chris Ray and under James coming
- 30:59Speaker 3: before him. The American people no longer trust the integrity
- 31:04Speaker 3: of the FBI. That is Listen with James Comy, I
- 31:08Speaker 3: think he's a hard partisan. I think he was the
- 31:10Speaker 3: point of the spear with Chris Ray. I think it's different.
- 31:13Speaker 3: I actually think Chris Ray he's not a Democrat, he's
- 31:15Speaker 3: a Republican, he's not a leftist. But he views his
- 31:19Speaker 3: job as protecting the institution. And I think he made
- 31:22Speaker 3: a fundamental mistake that he believes that protecting the career
- 31:27Speaker 3: senior officials, who themselves are vicious partisans. I think he
- 31:31Speaker 3: thinks that's somehow protecting the FBI, where the result is
- 31:35Speaker 3: that the public respect of the FBI has been profoundly damaged.
- 31:40Speaker 3: I think the new director of the FBI has a
- 31:43Speaker 3: very important job to root out those partisans and to
- 31:46Speaker 3: bring it back to a fidelity to law. By the way,
- 31:51Speaker 3: I think the other political prosecutions that have been brought
- 31:55Speaker 3: are natural candidates for the pardon power if you look
- 31:58Speaker 3: at Donald Trump. I think Donald Trump should pardon those
- 32:01Speaker 3: people who've been prosecuted for January sixth who did not
- 32:05Speaker 3: engage in crimes of violence. If you engage in a
- 32:07Speaker 3: crime of violence, if you physically and violently assaulted a
- 32:10Speaker 3: police officer, you shouldn't be pardoned. You should face criminal
- 32:14Speaker 3: prosecution if you committed a crime of violence against a
- 32:17Speaker 3: police officer. But if you were engaged in a peaceful protest,
- 32:20Speaker 3: I think those are natural candidates for pardons. I also
- 32:23Speaker 3: think Lauren Handy, who is the pro life protester who's
- 32:28Speaker 3: right now serving six years in federal prison for nonviolent
- 32:33Speaker 3: protest against abortion, I think Lauren Handy is a natural
- 32:37Speaker 3: candidate for a pardon from President Trump. I think there's
- 32:41Speaker 3: a very substantial likelihood she will receive a pardon. I
- 32:44Speaker 3: think the nonviolent January sixth protesters are likely to receive pardons,
- 32:48Speaker 3: and that is going to cause Democrats in the media
- 32:51Speaker 3: to lose their mind, because not only are they happy
- 32:53Speaker 3: to look the other way at the weaponization of the
- 32:56Speaker 3: Department of Justice and the FBI, they are vested in
- 32:59Speaker 3: defending that weaponization, and is that is a mandate understand.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Donald Trump campaigned to the American people saying I will
- 33:08Speaker 3: root out this corruption, and I think this nomination and
- 33:11Speaker 3: his following through on that promise is fundamentally about respecting democracy.
- 33:16Speaker 3: The American people said, yes, we don't want the federal
- 33:20Speaker 3: government weaponized against the political opposition of the White House.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I am into that.
- 33:26Speaker 2: And finally, Senator, this is such an important story and
- 33:30Speaker 2: I hope that everybody listening will actually take this podcast today.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Share it on acts, shared it on Instagram, share it
- 33:38Speaker 2: on Facebook, wherever you are on social media. Text it
- 33:41Speaker 2: to your friends, because the story that we're about to
- 33:43Speaker 2: talk about is a story that really the media is
- 33:46Speaker 2: just not covering. It is something that you've also led on,
- 33:52Speaker 2: especially being a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
- 33:55Speaker 2: There was not one, not two, but three Americans that
- 33:58Speaker 2: were detained for years in China that have now been released.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Give a quick recap of just how long they've been there,
- 34:05Speaker 2: but also why this happened now.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Well, so there were three Americans who returned from China.
- 34:12Speaker 3: They've been imprisoned in China for for years. One of
- 34:16Speaker 3: them is a Texan. One of them is someone named
- 34:18Speaker 3: named Mark Swedan. The other two are Kayli and John
- 34:22Speaker 3: Leung So. Mark Swedan is a Texan. He's from Houston.
- 34:26Speaker 3: His mother is Catherine Swedan. I've spoken to Catherine multiple times.
- 34:31Speaker 3: She is from Luling, Texas. Mark Swedan has been in
- 34:35Speaker 3: jail in China for twelve years and it was a
- 34:39Speaker 3: completely bogus charge. It was a trumped up charge, and
- 34:44Speaker 3: the Chinese government was persecuting him as an American. I've
- 34:47Speaker 3: spoken out on Mark Swedan's behalf multiple times. I authored
- 34:51Speaker 3: a resolution that passed the Senate unanimously calling for Mark
- 34:55Speaker 3: Swedan's release. I've raised his case over and over and
- 34:59Speaker 3: over again, and with the Biden administration, I'll give them
- 35:01Speaker 3: some credit. They leaned in in a significant way and
- 35:04Speaker 3: they got him home. He is back in Texas today.
- 35:08Speaker 2: And this is also something that you talked about on
- 35:10Speaker 2: Face the Nation. I want people to hear part of
- 35:13Speaker 2: what you had to say.
- 35:14Speaker 8: Well, can you tell us about the three Americans released
- 35:17Speaker 8: by China who were in San Antonio? Have you been
- 35:19Speaker 8: in touch with them and do you have any concerns
- 35:21Speaker 8: about the contours of that swap.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Well, at this stage, we don't know all of the
- 35:26Speaker 3: details of the contours of the swap, but I'll tell
- 35:28Speaker 3: you I am celebrating the return of three Americans, especially
- 35:32Speaker 3: Mark Swede. And Mark Sweden is a Texan from Houston.
- 35:35Speaker 3: His mom, Catherine is from Luling, Texas. I've talked with
- 35:38Speaker 3: Catherine many times. I authored and passed a resolution in
- 35:42Speaker 3: the Senate that passed unanimously calling for Mark Swedan's return
- 35:46Speaker 3: to America. He spent twelve years unjustly imprisoned in communist China.
- 35:52Speaker 4: I'll tell you I.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Have raised it directly with the Foreign Minister of China.
- 35:55Speaker 3: I've raised it with President Biden. I've raised it with
- 35:58Speaker 3: Secretary of State Tony Blanket, and I will give them
- 36:01Speaker 3: credit on this. Tony Blenken, just two weeks ago was
- 36:04Speaker 3: the most recent time I spoke with him about Mark Swedan.
- 36:07Speaker 3: And the administration has pressed the Chinese government. And Mark
- 36:10Speaker 3: Sweden is back home with his mother, who has prayed
- 36:13Speaker 3: for him, who has loved loved him. I want to
- 36:15Speaker 3: say Mark, welcome home, Catherine, Congratulations. I told you this
- 36:19Speaker 3: day would come. This is a time where all Texans
- 36:21Speaker 3: and all Americans should be celebrating.
- 36:23Speaker 8: Very quickly, Senator Cruz, because I also know you care
- 36:25Speaker 8: about the case.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Of Austin Tice.
- 36:27Speaker 8: Do you have any sense that the rebel gains in
- 36:29Speaker 8: Syria of the recent vintage will have any chance of
- 36:33Speaker 8: unlocking Austin Tye's freedom.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I certainly hope and pray Austin Tice needs to come home,
- 36:41Speaker 3: and I hope and pray. Listen, there's a combination of
- 36:44Speaker 3: two things working one. As Joe Biden is in the
- 36:47Speaker 3: process of transitioning out any outgoing president is looking to
- 36:51Speaker 3: try to get some final wins, I would encourage him,
- 36:53Speaker 3: and I'm sure he is doing everything he can to
- 36:56Speaker 3: bring Austin Tice home, to bring the hostages in Gaza home,
- 37:00Speaker 3: both the Israelis and the Americans bring them home in
- 37:02Speaker 3: this window. I also think President Trump coming into office
- 37:06Speaker 3: on January twentieth, the enemies of America, I think are
- 37:09Speaker 3: afraid of President Trump. That is a moment. I hope
- 37:12Speaker 3: we have a moment right now that is very much
- 37:15Speaker 3: like the end of the Jimmy Carter administration, right before
- 37:18Speaker 3: Ronald Reagan came in and we saw on January twentieth
- 37:21Speaker 3: our hostages in Iran released. I think in significant part
- 37:25Speaker 3: because the Ayatola was afraid of Reagan. I hope a
- 37:28Speaker 3: similar dynamic is playing out. And if we can see
- 37:30Speaker 3: more hostages come home, that would be caused for enormous celebration.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Enormous celebration that is one hundred percent accurate because for
- 37:39Speaker 2: these families, as you mentioned, this is a day they've
- 37:42Speaker 2: been waiting now for years.
- 37:45Speaker 3: No, that's absolutely right, and so the fact that we've
- 37:48Speaker 3: got three Americans back from China, that's great. I hope
- 37:50Speaker 3: we see more hostages coming back.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Don't forget. We do this show Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- 37:55Speaker 2: As I said earlier, make sure you share this podcast

- 38:01Speaker 2: as well, and the Senator I will be back with
- 38:04Speaker 2: you on Wednesday morning
