- 0:00Speaker 1: There are two ways that you can look at what
- 0:02Speaker 1: just happened in the midterm elections. You can look at
- 0:05Speaker 1: it as a referendum on candidates that we're weak. You
- 0:09Speaker 1: can look at it as an embarrassing moment for Mitch
- 0:12Speaker 1: McConnell and proof that Mitch McConnell would rather be the
- 0:15Speaker 1: leader in the minority than a majority with conservative candidates
- 0:18Speaker 1: MAGA candidates. You can also look at the midterm elections
- 0:22Speaker 1: as a referendum that's time to blow up the Republican
- 0:24Speaker 1: Party and have a civil war, which seems to be
- 0:28Speaker 1: where we are headed. And you can also look at
- 0:30Speaker 1: this from another standpoint, which is Democrats are loving every
- 0:33Speaker 1: scenario that I just mentioned to you because they know
- 0:35Speaker 1: that they got away with one. Now you talk about
- 0:38Speaker 1: this civil war that is brewing right now, it is
- 0:41Speaker 1: very obvious that there is a civil war brewing, specifically
- 0:45Speaker 1: between Donald Trump and Rhonda Santis. What did Rhonda Santus
- 0:49Speaker 1: do wrong? He had a massive red wave in Florida
- 0:52Speaker 1: that undermined Donald Trump's power on the GOP. It showed
- 0:56Speaker 1: that there are other people out there that are willing
- 0:58Speaker 1: to lead and can lead in the Republican Party, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: that is exactly why Donald Trump is attacking Rounda Santis
- 1:04Speaker 1: is dysanctimonious. It's also the reason why he's threatening his
- 1:08Speaker 1: political career by saying, I have more dirt to know
- 1:10Speaker 1: more about you than your own wife does. We also
- 1:13Speaker 1: have a present that's very angry right now. Former President
- 1:16Speaker 1: Donald Trump. He was also claiming now that he did
- 1:19Speaker 1: not pick doctor Oz to be the kid at the
- 1:20Speaker 1: disaster of Pennsylvania who lost a fetterman, an incompetent individual
- 1:25Speaker 1: that's clearly incapacitated. He actually threw his own wife under
- 1:28Speaker 1: the bus, claiming it was Melania's idea. Than he did
- 1:30Speaker 1: come out and apologize to his wife later. But what
- 1:33Speaker 1: I do know is Democrats are loving all of these scenarios. Now,
- 1:39Speaker 1: is there a break after this midterm elections? It was
- 1:41Speaker 1: a disaster because it was clear going into the midterms
- 1:44Speaker 1: that the leader was Donald Trump, And are people willing
- 1:47Speaker 1: to now move to another leader like de Santis? I
- 1:50Speaker 1: think if you read the tea leaves, that's exactly what
- 1:53Speaker 1: seems to be starting to happen in this country. Mike
- 1:57Speaker 1: Pence has also come out, the former vice president of
- 2:01Speaker 1: Donald Trump, and he had this shocking these shocking words
- 2:05Speaker 1: that he now has said about Donald Trump. Listen, members
- 2:10Speaker 1: were barricaded inside the House chamber and in the middle
- 2:15Speaker 1: of it all, you can see that the President has
- 2:17Speaker 1: tweeted to twenty four PM, the President tweets Mike Pence
- 2:22Speaker 1: didn't have the courage to do what should have been done.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It angered me. But I turned to my daughter who
- 2:30Speaker 1: was standing nearby, and I said, it doesn't take courage
- 2:33Speaker 1: to break the law. Takes courage to uphold the law.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I mean, the presence words were reckless. It's clear he
- 2:40Speaker 1: decided to be part of the problem. Mike Pence shots
- 2:45Speaker 1: fired at his former ally, his former running mate, Donald Trump.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Mike Pennce calling Donald Trump on January six reckless. He
- 2:54Speaker 1: said he endangered me and he endangered my family. Now
- 2:58Speaker 1: why is Mike Pennce saying this now? Because I think
- 3:00Speaker 1: and he understands that there was a disaster on election
- 3:02Speaker 1: Day and he's seeing an opportunity to stand out as
- 3:04Speaker 1: his own man. Now, while all of this is happening
- 3:08Speaker 1: right now, there's something else that has just happened, and
- 3:12Speaker 1: that is on the Immigration and Border policy. Customs and
- 3:19Speaker 1: Border Protection Commissioner has now resigned at the request of
- 3:25Speaker 1: the Biden administration, there have been a record number of
- 3:29Speaker 1: migrant crossings in the last year. Democrats learned from the
- 3:33Speaker 1: midterm elections that this was their achilles heel in many
- 3:36Speaker 1: of these races on the border, and they're not willing
- 3:39Speaker 1: to make that mistake. So now, instead of blaming Joe
- 3:41Speaker 1: Biden for the actual policy of open borders, they are
- 3:45Speaker 1: now telling the Customs and Border Patrol commissioner to resign,
- 3:50Speaker 1: making him their scapegoat, trying to imply now moving into
- 3:54Speaker 1: the presidential hey, hey, hey, we're gonna get things under
- 3:56Speaker 1: control at the border. Now, this was obviously a policy
- 3:59Speaker 1: of the Biden administration. Shouldn't listen to this news. Forty
- 4:02Speaker 1: eight past the hour, the Commissioner of Customs and Border
- 4:05Speaker 1: Protection resigned at the requests of the Biden administration over
- 4:09Speaker 1: the weekend after reportedly refusing to step down. I mean
- 4:12Speaker 1: see Juliet Ainsley is following the story. Juliet, good morning.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So why him? What do we know about why? Now? Well,
- 4:20Speaker 1: of course there's a lot of pressure on Customs and
- 4:23Speaker 1: Border Protection, Jose. As we know, they've had a record
- 4:26Speaker 1: number of migrant crossings in the last year, over two million.
- 4:30Speaker 1: In the fiscal year that ended at the end of September.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But besides that, it just seemed that Magnus didn't quite
- 4:36Speaker 1: get along as well with this administration as his deput did,
- 4:40Speaker 1: as his deputy, Troy Miller did. Now Troy Miller will
- 4:43Speaker 1: now be filling in as acting Commissioner. He was already
- 4:46Speaker 1: acting commissioner for all of twenty twenty one. They chose
- 4:50Speaker 1: Magnus because he had a law enforcement background. They thought
- 4:53Speaker 1: that that might be a contribution to CBP, but actually
- 4:56Speaker 1: it seemed that because he didn't come up through DHA spranks,
- 4:59Speaker 1: he actually had a fission something that didn't quite work
- 5:02Speaker 1: out between him and majorcas as well as the White
- 5:06Speaker 1: House and with NCBP ranks. Now it's not unheard of
- 5:10Speaker 1: to have some clashes between people in Washington and the
- 5:13Speaker 1: people who were rank and file doing the mission at
- 5:15Speaker 1: the border, but in this case, it seem that there
- 5:17Speaker 1: were a lot of Border Patrol officers who were not
- 5:20Speaker 1: pleased with Magnus. We saw reports that they said he
- 5:22Speaker 1: was falling asleep and meetings. People didn't think that he
- 5:25Speaker 1: was engaged in taking the mission that they were carrying
- 5:28Speaker 1: out seriously enough, especially considering the record number of microts
- 5:33Speaker 1: crossing the border that these men and women are dealing
- 5:35Speaker 1: with right now, there is something very important that you
- 5:39Speaker 1: understand and takeaway from the audio that I just played
- 5:42Speaker 1: for you. But before I get to that part of
- 5:45Speaker 1: the story, I want to tell you a little bit
- 5:46Speaker 1: about my good friends over at Patriot Mobile. If you
- 5:49Speaker 1: were ready to have an impact every time that you
- 5:53Speaker 1: use your phone, and I'm talking about have an impact
- 5:55Speaker 1: by supporting First and Second Amendment rights, supporting the rights
- 5:58Speaker 1: of the unborn, and fighting back every time you make
- 6:01Speaker 1: a phone call, you need to know about Patriot Mobile.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile is America's only conservative Christian mobile phone provider,
- 6:11Speaker 1: and they are using your phone bill when you paid

- 6:18Speaker 1: you money. Now this isn't any extra ad on your bill.
- 6:20Speaker 1: They take a portion of your bill every month and
- 6:23Speaker 1: they give it back to fund conservative causes in Canada,
- 6:27Speaker 1: to believe in the sanctity of life, freedom of speech,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and the Second Amendment, and they are winning. Patriot Mobile
- 6:34Speaker 1: has now been attacked by the big media. Big tech
- 6:39Speaker 1: is now coming after them, and that's why I want
- 6:41Speaker 1: you to support them. If you want an affordable plan

- 7:17Speaker 1: code ferguson nine seven to Patriot check them out. Democrats
- 7:23Speaker 1: are learning very quickly from the midterm elections. They are
- 7:27Speaker 1: looking like they're gonna squeak out the Arizona governor's election.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Kitty Hobbs is up there right now against Carry Lake.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We also know that, unfortunately, you have another major problem
- 7:39Speaker 1: now in Arizona. We have lost that Senate seat, meaning
- 7:44Speaker 1: the Senate will go be in the power of the Democrats.
- 7:47Speaker 1: But even in these victories right Arizona, Mark Kelly fifty
- 7:51Speaker 1: one point six to Blake Masters forty six point three,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I think you could argue that's a beat down, especially
- 7:58Speaker 1: knowing what we had go go on and the opportunity
- 8:02Speaker 1: we had. But Democrats learned from the exit polls. What
- 8:06Speaker 1: they realized was they can't keep going down this path,
- 8:10Speaker 1: at least publicly of an open border policy, because it
- 8:13Speaker 1: will undo them in the presidential That's exactly why they
- 8:16Speaker 1: have now put pointed a finger at the Customs and
- 8:19Speaker 1: Border Patrol Commissioner, demanding that he resigned. He's their new
- 8:23Speaker 1: scapegoat now. He enforced the policy of the Biden administration,
- 8:27Speaker 1: which was an open border policy. But they needed at
- 8:30Speaker 1: least look like they are listening to the voters and
- 8:32Speaker 1: giving a crap. I do I believe the policy of
- 8:34Speaker 1: the border is going to change. I do not. But
- 8:38Speaker 1: Joe Biden is on a victory lap. Biden on the midterms,
- 8:42Speaker 1: he said, the American people prove once again, quote the democracy,
- 8:45Speaker 1: that a democracy is who we are. They're using this
- 8:48Speaker 1: as a referendum on MAGA candidates. Let me start with
- 8:52Speaker 1: a few words about the recent elections held in the
- 8:55Speaker 1: United States. What we saw was the strength and resilience
- 8:58Speaker 1: of the American democracy. We sought in action, and the
- 9:01Speaker 1: American people prove once again the democracy is who we are.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And there was a strong rejection of election deniers at
- 9:09Speaker 1: every level, from those seeking to lead our states and
- 9:12Speaker 1: those that seeking to serve in Congress, and also those
- 9:15Speaker 1: seeking to oversee the elections. And there was a strong
- 9:19Speaker 1: rejection of political violence and voter intimidation. And there was
- 9:22Speaker 1: an emphatic statement that in America, the world of the
- 9:25Speaker 1: people prevails. I've traveled this week and it's been clear
- 9:31Speaker 1: just how closely the world and our allies and our
- 9:34Speaker 1: competitors as well have been following our elections at home.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Excuse me a little cold. And what these elections showed
- 9:42Speaker 1: is that there's a deep and unwavering commitment in America
- 9:44Speaker 1: to preserving and protecting and defending democracy. Now, let me
- 9:49Speaker 1: speak briefly about our agenda over the past few days
- 9:52Speaker 1: in Egypt. And yeah, you can hear the president. He
- 9:55Speaker 1: wanted to make that clear to the world. The American
- 9:58Speaker 1: people proved once again that demcrisy is who we are.
- 10:01Speaker 1: We saw that the strength and resilience of the American democracy.
- 10:04Speaker 1: This is a victory lap for them. Now there are
- 10:07Speaker 1: things that they have learned from this election faster than
- 10:09Speaker 1: we have learned what we needed to learn from these
- 10:12Speaker 1: midterm elections. I wish right now there wasn't a civil war.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I wish the president was not taking shots at the santis.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I wish that Mike Pence wasn't taking shots at Donald
- 10:22Speaker 1: Trump now. But the wheels are coming off this machine.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And if that means we rebuild the machine, then so
- 10:27Speaker 1: be it. But what does that cause us to do it?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Because the Democrats are now understanding they almost lost and
- 10:33Speaker 1: they should have lost the midterm, and they're making they're
- 10:36Speaker 1: fixing their mistakes and weaknesses, including forcing the resignation of
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Customs and Border Patrol head. That's how smart the
- 10:47Speaker 1: Democrats are learning and how quickly they're learning from these midterms.
- 10:51Speaker 1: We clearly aren't even anywhere close to where they are
- 10:53Speaker 1: in this game. Now. There is one big thing that
- 10:59Speaker 1: came these midterms. It could be a massive blessing in disguise,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and that is now the Democratic Party has clearly coalesced
- 11:06Speaker 1: behind Joe Biden. He is their nominee unless he chooses
- 11:10Speaker 1: personally not to run for reelection. Now that these mid
- 11:14Speaker 1: terms are over, in the blood bath for the red
- 11:16Speaker 1: wave turned into a red mirage, even Nancy Pelosi has
- 11:20Speaker 1: come out publicly saying that Joe Biden should run again.
- 11:23Speaker 1: In twenty twenty four, Nancy Pelosi went on the Sunday shows,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and it made sense for her to do this because
- 11:32Speaker 1: they basically had a victory, even though they're more than
- 11:35Speaker 1: likely going to lose the House. The fact it wasn't
- 11:39Speaker 1: a blood bath, as bad as the economy was, as
- 11:41Speaker 1: high as crime is in this country, as terrible as
- 11:45Speaker 1: some of the candidates they ran like Fetterman, and as
- 11:47Speaker 1: bad as a leader, and how underwater Joe Biden was.
- 11:51Speaker 1: The Democrats had with all that, an amazing Tuesday, if
- 11:55Speaker 1: you put it in perspective. And she went on on
- 11:58Speaker 1: all the Sunday morning talk shows to make sure that
- 12:00Speaker 1: everybody knew what a big victory this was for Democrats.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And Nancy Pelosi had this to say to George Stepanopolis
- 12:07Speaker 1: about President Biden, should he run again? Do you think
- 12:09Speaker 1: President Biden should run again? Yes? I do. President Biden
- 12:14Speaker 1: has been a great president for our country. He has
- 12:17Speaker 1: accomplished so much ten million jobs, over ten million jobs
- 12:22Speaker 1: under his leadership, working with the private sector. Of course,
- 12:26Speaker 1: he has just done so many things that are so great.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We knew a lot more to show to tell her.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But he's put money in people's pockets, vaccines in their arms,
- 12:39Speaker 1: children back to school, people back to work, for starters,
- 12:43Speaker 1: creating ten million jobs he has made in America and
- 12:47Speaker 1: independent by pat passing the chip spill that says we're
- 12:51Speaker 1: no no longer reliance on those who withhold products that
- 12:57Speaker 1: enable us to manufacture in our country, the era IRA.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I just saw him make the speech in Egypt where
- 13:05Speaker 1: he spoke about America's commitment to preserving the planet with
- 13:09Speaker 1: the legislation the IRA three hundred and sixty eight billion
- 13:15Speaker 1: dollars in good paying green jobs, clean air, clean water
- 13:19Speaker 1: for our children, national security issue to stop migrations and
- 13:24Speaker 1: competition for habitat and food, as well as honoring our
- 13:32Speaker 1: responsibility to future generations, the packed acting our veterans, the
- 13:39Speaker 1: bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, all of it with justice, with equity,
- 13:43Speaker 1: with inclusiveness, with diversity, taking us to a new place.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He has been a great president and has a great
- 13:50Speaker 1: record to run on. He's been a great president, and
- 13:53Speaker 1: he has a great record to run on. Now forget
- 13:57Speaker 1: the fact that half the problems you'd claimed that he
- 13:58Speaker 1: solved were created by the president right, the people locking
- 14:02Speaker 1: down of schools and loss of jobs. But what Speaker
- 14:05Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi understands now is because of the survival of
- 14:09Speaker 1: Democrats in this mid term, President Joe Biden, she now says,
- 14:13Speaker 1: and the rest of the Democratic Party is saying, should
- 14:15Speaker 1: run for reelection. If it would have been a bloodbath
- 14:19Speaker 1: for the Democrats and the midterms, they would have gotten
- 14:22Speaker 1: rid of Joe Biden. That would have thrown a lifeline
- 14:25Speaker 1: to Donald Trump as well, and it would have been
- 14:27Speaker 1: a great day for the Trump because for the Trump team,
- 14:30Speaker 1: because they would have walked out and said, look what
- 14:32Speaker 1: we did to this country. Look how well we did
- 14:34Speaker 1: what we did for this country. We gave you this
- 14:37Speaker 1: red wave. Donald Trump would have definitely been the front
- 14:41Speaker 1: runner and Joe Biden they would have dismissed. They probably
- 14:45Speaker 1: would have used the Hunter Biden investigation and just let
- 14:48Speaker 1: the wheels come off of it to implicate Joe Biden
- 14:51Speaker 1: and to get rid of him. They would have used
- 14:53Speaker 1: the Republicans to do that to move on to another candidate.
- 14:56Speaker 1: But because that didn't happen, now you have Democrats that
- 15:00Speaker 1: are one hundred percent behind Joe Biden. If he wants
- 15:03Speaker 1: to run free election. It is his I believe no
- 15:06Speaker 1: one serious will oppose him in a primary, and I'm
- 15:10Speaker 1: not sure anybody will oppose him in a primary. You'll
- 15:16Speaker 1: look at the Republican Party now. We are totally in shambles,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and we deserve to be. We've got to rebuild this thing.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The way that we just did things was a disaster.
- 15:25Speaker 1: The way that we just moved with all of these
- 15:28Speaker 1: things was a disaster. We made a huge mistake. We
- 15:34Speaker 1: should have done better, and the in fighting has clearly
- 15:38Speaker 1: begun now. If there's any silver lining in these mid terms,
- 15:41Speaker 1: it is that I do believe now we have a
- 15:44Speaker 1: genuine and a real opportunity to beat Joe Biden if
- 15:47Speaker 1: we don't screw this up. I do not like, by
- 15:50Speaker 1: the way, the civil war that's happening right now between
- 15:53Speaker 1: Trump and De santiss. I think it's a dumb move.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I don't like the President attacking him the way that
- 15:58Speaker 1: he is. De Santis is the only state and was
- 16:01Speaker 1: able to pull off in the only state a genuine
- 16:03Speaker 1: and authentic red wave. I believe there's room for multiple
- 16:07Speaker 1: leaders in the Republican Party right now, and to imply
- 16:09Speaker 1: that I have to pledge allegiance to Donald Trump and
- 16:11Speaker 1: no one else I can like. That's a bad and
- 16:15Speaker 1: faulty narrative. It's a bad political mindset. It is one
- 16:20Speaker 1: that we should not be having to debate. We shouldn't
- 16:24Speaker 1: be having, but we are right now. And this really
- 16:27Speaker 1: worries me because I'm afraid now that we're going to
- 16:29Speaker 1: screw it up even more. Instead, we should be focusing
- 16:33Speaker 1: on the civil linings of this midterm election. Number one,
- 16:36Speaker 1: that Nancy Pelosi is still the leader of the Democratic
- 16:39Speaker 1: Party in the House. And number two that Joe Biden
- 16:41Speaker 1: is still going to be the leader of the Democratic Party,
- 16:44Speaker 1: and he's vulnerable and he's underwater. But if we sit
- 16:49Speaker 1: here and we screw around with Mitch McConnell being our leader,
- 16:53Speaker 1: that's going to make for a disaster. If we have
- 16:56Speaker 1: this massive civil war between Donald Trump going after you know,
- 17:00Speaker 1: de Santis instead of lifting him up, it is going
- 17:04Speaker 1: to be another disaster. Democrats are way smarter when it
- 17:09Speaker 1: comes to learning from elections. And Republicans are forcing out
- 17:15Speaker 1: the Customs and Border Protection Commissioner at the request the
- 17:18Speaker 1: Biden administration. Forcing him to resign tells you they learn
- 17:22Speaker 1: from this midterm election. They realize that their Achilles Hill
- 17:26Speaker 1: going into these presidential elections is the border and the
- 17:29Speaker 1: border issue there. Republicans have to also focus on Georgia.
- 17:36Speaker 1: As I mentioned on Sunday night and I mentioned it
- 17:38Speaker 1: Monday in our podcast, we have got to win Georgia.
- 17:42Speaker 1: We have to coalesce behind Georgia. We have to make
- 17:45Speaker 1: sure that we win Georgia. If we do not win Georgia,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we are in serious trouble. Because I do believe that
- 17:51Speaker 1: the Democrats could move to end the filibuster, pack the
- 17:54Speaker 1: Supreme Court, and add four more senators to unite siate
- 17:57Speaker 1: Senate with statehood. I have no reason to believe that
- 18:00Speaker 1: they wouldn't. I have no reason to believe that the
- 18:04Speaker 1: Democrats won't go nuclear. They have shown no indication they
- 18:09Speaker 1: care about this country and our democracy. They've shown no
- 18:12Speaker 1: indication that they care about our constitution. So why now,
- 18:15Speaker 1: all of a sudden would they do that. I just
- 18:17Speaker 1: think that they are going to do whatever they can
- 18:19Speaker 1: to make sure that they solidify their power. Chuck Schumer,
- 18:26Speaker 1: he came out and said working with the GOP will
- 18:28Speaker 1: be easier because they lost the Red Way proved to
- 18:30Speaker 1: be a red mirage he said, the non Maggar Republicans,
- 18:33Speaker 1: stop letting them lead your party. He's giving advice. Now,
- 18:37Speaker 1: I want you to listen to this very carefully. Are
- 18:39Speaker 1: you going to talk to Mitch McConnell. What does that
- 18:41Speaker 1: look like. Let me just say this, the American people
- 18:45Speaker 1: are yearning for us to get things done. And the
- 18:47Speaker 1: American people first, they believe in democracy. I just want
- 18:50Speaker 1: to finish that last point. The roots of democracy are
- 18:53Speaker 1: much deeper than a lot of warriors. Were people who
- 18:56Speaker 1: worried about the election give it credit for and they
- 18:58Speaker 1: understood democracy was being eroded. But they also are practical.
- 19:02Speaker 1: They want us to get something done for them. They
- 19:05Speaker 1: don't expect us to do everything at once, but they
- 19:07Speaker 1: want us to get something done. And that's why I
- 19:09Speaker 1: think so many of them chose Democrats over Republicans, because
- 19:12Speaker 1: we were focusing on what they cared about and what
- 19:15Speaker 1: they needed, as opposed to just sort of tossing these
- 19:17Speaker 1: hand grenades across the wall. But I am going so
- 19:21Speaker 1: I will say to my party, we're not going to
- 19:23Speaker 1: get everything we want, Like on the guns bill, we
- 19:26Speaker 1: didn't get everything we want. But let's try to sit
- 19:28Speaker 1: down with the Republicans and get something done. And even more,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and just as importantly, I am going to say, who
- 19:34Speaker 1: the Republicans in the Senate who are not the macarepublicans?
- 19:37Speaker 1: Stop letting them lead your party, work with us to
- 19:41Speaker 1: get things done. And I intend to sit down with
- 19:44Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell and express that. And I think, just quickly,
- 19:49Speaker 1: what are you gonna You're sitting down Mitch McConnell this week. No,
- 19:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna. I intend the Democrats again being smart here
- 19:59Speaker 1: saying the American people, we're yearning for us to get
- 20:01Speaker 1: things done. They're going to look like they are one
- 20:06Speaker 1: party with one leader, with one message. That is the
- 20:10Speaker 1: opposite of what the Republicans are doing right now. And
- 20:14Speaker 1: if we don't hurry up and realize that shooting each
- 20:17Speaker 1: other is a bad idea, DeSantis taking shots from the
- 20:21Speaker 1: present is a bad idea. It should not be happening,
- 20:25Speaker 1: certainly not right now. If we don't get our act
- 20:27Speaker 1: together in Georgia, the Democrats are not only going to
- 20:31Speaker 1: have a massive what I would refer to as a
- 20:33Speaker 1: victory in these midterms, but they're going to go into
- 20:35Speaker 1: the presidential on really good footing. And that's another big problem. Now.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Before I get into more of this story. I want
- 20:42Speaker 1: to say thank you and tell you about our good
- 20:44Speaker 1: friends at Legacy Precious Medals. Without them, the show wouldn't
- 20:47Speaker 1: be possible. And if you have not looked at gold
- 20:50Speaker 1: and silver as a way to protect your hard earned
- 20:52Speaker 1: dollars against what they happening on Wall Street with inflation,
- 20:56Speaker 1: it's time for you to call them and get the
- 20:58Speaker 1: free Investor's Guide because so many around the world are
- 21:01Speaker 1: now using gold and silver, and historically they have for
- 21:05Speaker 1: decades as a protection, a hedge against inflation, which is
- 21:08Speaker 1: exactly what we're dealing with right now. If you're terrified
- 21:11Speaker 1: to look at your retirement account, your four one case
- 21:13Speaker 1: statement because of what's happening on Wall Street, that's all
- 21:17Speaker 1: the more reason why you should call and get the
- 21:19Speaker 1: investors got in gold and silver, protect your hard earned
- 21:22Speaker 1: money and diversify. Call them and get the free Investor's
- 21:25Speaker 1: Guide from Legacy Precious Medals one eight six six seven
- 21:30Speaker 1: five one twenty two eighteen one eight six six seven
- 21:35Speaker 1: five one twenty two eighteen or online at Legacy PM
- 21:39Speaker 1: investments dot com. There's a third caveat of the takeaways.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think at third point, I want to make about
- 21:46Speaker 1: the mid term elections and what just happened. Mitch McConnell
- 21:50Speaker 1: is racing to a vote on Wednesday for him to
- 21:53Speaker 1: continue to be the minority leader in the Senate. He
- 21:57Speaker 1: does not deserve that job. That is vote that should
- 22:00Speaker 1: not take place. In fact, even the Democrats aren't doing this.
- 22:04Speaker 1: They're waiting till after the Georgia runoff so that Warnock
- 22:08Speaker 1: can vote on who should be the leader in the Senate. Now,
- 22:11Speaker 1: why is Mitch McConnell, who really screwed up these elections,
- 22:15Speaker 1: who did not give money to Republican MAGA conservative candidates.
- 22:20Speaker 1: He hung them out to dry. Why is he trying
- 22:22Speaker 1: to rush this election because he doesn't want there to
- 22:25Speaker 1: be time for there to be a base that builds
- 22:28Speaker 1: against him because of this midterm elections. He doesn't want
- 22:33Speaker 1: herschel Walker to be able to vote against him, possibly,
- 22:38Speaker 1: so they are rushing this election. Why would we re
- 22:41Speaker 1: elect the guy that just failed us as miserable as
- 22:45Speaker 1: this failure was in the midterms. We should not be
- 22:48Speaker 1: doing this, And every single one of you that's listening
- 22:51Speaker 1: right now should be calling your senators, whether no matter
- 22:55Speaker 1: where you are, and telling them to not allow for
- 23:00Speaker 1: a leadership vote to happen on Wednesday. Last night, I
- 23:04Speaker 1: was doing Verdict, the podcast that co host was sentaor
- 23:07Speaker 1: Ted Cruz. He had just had a meeting with several
- 23:10Speaker 1: senators about delaying this vote. Many have come out saying
- 23:14Speaker 1: they want to they want to delay this vote. Why
- 23:16Speaker 1: because there mad as hell over what just happened, and
- 23:19Speaker 1: many of them believe that Mitch McConnell should not be
- 23:22Speaker 1: the leader of the Republican Party in the Senate. In fact,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I would argue it doesn't need to be a leader
- 23:26Speaker 1: of the Republican Party in any capacity now because the
- 23:29Speaker 1: way that he hung out Conservative candidates to dry. I
- 23:33Speaker 1: want you to hear a little bit of what Senator
- 23:35Speaker 1: Ted Cruz had to say about not just his reaction
- 23:37Speaker 1: to the midterms, what a disaster it was, but also
- 23:41Speaker 1: about the politics behind Mitch McConnell trying to force everyone's
- 23:45Speaker 1: hand Wednesday, immediately before the election has even been settled
- 23:50Speaker 1: because of the Georgia runoff. Well, Ben, let me start
- 23:54Speaker 1: out by saying, I am so pissed off I cannot
- 23:57Speaker 1: even c straight. We add an extraordinary opportunity, We had
- 24:02Speaker 1: a generational opportunity. This should have been a fundamental landslide election.
- 24:09Speaker 1: We should have won the House and the Senate. We
- 24:12Speaker 1: should have a thirty forty fifty vote majority in the House.
- 24:15Speaker 1: We should have fifty three fifty four to fifty five
- 24:18Speaker 1: Republicans in the Senate. And instead, holy crap, the Democrats
- 24:23Speaker 1: keep the Senate. Worse than that. The Democrats potentially grow
- 24:28Speaker 1: their majority in the Senate. Worse than that. Yes, we
- 24:32Speaker 1: take the House, but at best we're going to take
- 24:35Speaker 1: the House with a couple of seats. Maybe there is
- 24:38Speaker 1: an outside chance we lose the House. I don't think
- 24:41Speaker 1: we will. I think the numbers are enough that we
- 24:43Speaker 1: will hold onto the House, but it's going to be
- 24:46Speaker 1: a majority of two nineteen to twenty to twenty one
- 24:49Speaker 1: to twenty two to eighteen is a majority. So we're
- 24:53Speaker 1: going to be looking at a two three four vote
- 24:55Speaker 1: majority at best. The rage Americans are feeling across this country,
- 25:03Speaker 1: the rage that I'm feeling, there are almost not words
- 25:06Speaker 1: to describe it, because this opportunity was screwed up. It
- 25:11Speaker 1: was screwed up badly, and the people are going to
- 25:13Speaker 1: pay the price, or the American people the country is
- 25:16Speaker 1: screwed for the next four years because of this, We're
- 25:20Speaker 1: gonna see horrible left wing judges confirmed for the next
- 25:24Speaker 1: two years. Because of this, We're going to see judges
- 25:27Speaker 1: taking away our free speech rights, our religious liberty rights,
- 25:31Speaker 1: our Second Amendment rights. It is an enormous missed opportunity,
- 25:37Speaker 1: and I got to say it, it is hard to
- 25:39Speaker 1: describe my feelings as anything other than rage right now.
- 25:43Speaker 1: One of the things that I still think is so
- 25:45Speaker 1: shocking is the exit poll data did show that Americans
- 25:50Speaker 1: were very concerned over the issues of the economy. They
- 25:54Speaker 1: were very concerned over inflation, they were very concerned over
- 25:59Speaker 1: parental rights, they were very concerned over all of these
- 26:03Speaker 1: types of issues that clearly leaned to the Republican candidates.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Yet on election day we still see and Democrats were
- 26:13Speaker 1: as shocked as anybody. They were expecting a bloodbast senator.
- 26:18Speaker 1: And then they went on TV this weekend on the
- 26:20Speaker 1: Sunday shows, and they were basically sitting there in total disbelief.
- 26:25Speaker 1: They were actually saying out loud, we cannot believe how
- 26:29Speaker 1: well the Democrats did, comparing it to how bad the
- 26:34Speaker 1: economy was and how low the presence approval rating was,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and how low the democrats approval rating was as a party.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Look the Democrats that assumed they were going to get
- 26:43Speaker 1: utterly obliterated in the House, and the Democrats thought they
- 26:47Speaker 1: would lose the Senate, and on every objective in disia
- 26:52Speaker 1: they should have the top issues. A large majority of
- 26:56Speaker 1: Americans believer on the wrong track. They believe the economy
- 26:59Speaker 1: is terrible. They leave Joe Biden is doing a terrible job.
- 27:02Speaker 1: The top three issues in the country number one, inflation,
- 27:05Speaker 1: number two, crime, number three illegal immigration. Democrats are disastrous
- 27:10Speaker 1: on all three of them. And yet at the end
- 27:13Speaker 1: of the day, Look, one of the patterns we have
- 27:15Speaker 1: out of this election, incumbents, by in large one across
- 27:19Speaker 1: the board. So the voters came in, we said, we
- 27:21Speaker 1: think it's all crap. Let's vote for the guy we
- 27:24Speaker 1: got right now. And so a whole bunch of incumbents prevailed,
- 27:29Speaker 1: despite the voters recognizing their lives had gotten a lot worse,
- 27:34Speaker 1: and yet they reelected the same people who did this.
- 27:39Speaker 1: In terms of whose fault it is, this is going
- 27:43Speaker 1: to be a discussion We're going to have four weeks
- 27:45Speaker 1: and months going forward. I think there is plenty of
- 27:50Speaker 1: blame to go around. Everybody bears some of the blame.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But I will tell you, Look, the issue right now
- 28:00Speaker 1: that I think is critical. The Republican Senate has a
- 28:06Speaker 1: leadership election scheduled for Wednesday, two days from now. It
- 28:12Speaker 1: would be insane if we reelect the same leadership two
- 28:19Speaker 1: days from now. If we say, hey, nothing happened, everything's good.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Keep rowing off the waterfall, crash into the rocks, everything's awesome. Listen,
- 28:30Speaker 1: if you have the number one team in the nation
- 28:32Speaker 1: and you get crushed, and you get crushed, and you
- 28:33Speaker 1: get crush you know what happens. They fire the coach.
- 28:37Speaker 1: The idea that we would have leadership elections on Wednesday
- 28:41Speaker 1: is insane. I can tell you I have publicly called
- 28:45Speaker 1: for delaying the leadership elections of the Senate until at
- 28:48Speaker 1: a minimum after December six, which is when the Georgia
- 28:51Speaker 1: runoff is, because at this point we don't even know
- 28:55Speaker 1: who the Republican conference is. Sadly, we know it's a
- 28:58Speaker 1: minority at best. We're going to have fifty senators and
- 29:03Speaker 1: with Kamala Harris as the vice president, that means the
- 29:06Speaker 1: Democrats will have a majority. But we don't know who
- 29:11Speaker 1: the senator from Georgia is. It could be Herschel Walker.
- 29:14Speaker 1: We don't know who the Senator from Alaska is. They're
- 29:16Speaker 1: still it's gonna be a couple of weeks before they
- 29:20Speaker 1: reallocate the ranked choice voting, so we don't know who
- 29:23Speaker 1: the Senator from Alaska will be. And yet what is
- 29:26Speaker 1: happening is the Republican Leader, Mitch McConnell, is trying to
- 29:30Speaker 1: force through a vote on Wednesday. Now. One of the
- 29:33Speaker 1: things to understand people ask, well, gosh, what's a Republican
- 29:38Speaker 1: leader election like? And I have to admit, when I
- 29:42Speaker 1: first arrived here ten years ago, I didn't know what
- 29:44Speaker 1: it would be like. I went to my first one.
- 29:46Speaker 1: So they do it deliberately immediately after the election. And
- 29:49Speaker 1: the people that vote, the old retiring senators don't vote,
- 29:53Speaker 1: So the people who vote in a leadership election are
- 29:55Speaker 1: all of the new senators coming into the new Senate.
- 29:58Speaker 1: So you show up when I showed up there in
- 30:01Speaker 1: twenty twelve, I'm a baby senator. They put you in
- 30:04Speaker 1: a little temporary office down in the basement. You have
- 30:07Speaker 1: like three little offices, which with a bunch of people
- 30:09Speaker 1: packed in there, you don't know what you're doing. You
- 30:12Speaker 1: don't even know where the men's room is, and you
- 30:14Speaker 1: immediately walk in and have to vote on leader. And
- 30:16Speaker 1: they do that because they don't want the freshmen, who
- 30:20Speaker 1: are the least they have the least hooks in them
- 30:22Speaker 1: at that point. They don't want them to be able
- 30:25Speaker 1: to organize and vote against any existing leadership there, so
- 30:28Speaker 1: they try to force a leadership vote through before you
- 30:31Speaker 1: have a chance to do anything. The first leadership election
- 30:36Speaker 1: I went to in twenty twelve, I was amazed. I
- 30:40Speaker 1: kind of set back and said, oh, this should be interesting,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and I assumed the Republican leader was Mitch McConnell then
- 30:46Speaker 1: would stand up and give a speech and say, hey,
- 30:49Speaker 1: here's what I want to do. Twenty twelve, Barack Obama
- 30:53Speaker 1: had just been re elected to a second term. We'd
- 30:55Speaker 1: had a really disappointing election like this one. I'd got elected.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I was one of the few bright spots, at least
- 31:01Speaker 1: from my perspective and not necessarily from mitches of the Democrats' perspective.
- 31:05Speaker 1: But you know, I was waiting for a Republican leader
- 31:10Speaker 1: to lay out a vision of here's how we're going
- 31:12Speaker 1: to fight against Obama. Here's what we're gonna do to
- 31:15Speaker 1: press back against these disastrous policies. Then it will amaze you.
- 31:21Speaker 1: At leadership elections, the leaders don't give speeches, they don't
- 31:24Speaker 1: lay out agendas, they don't say what they intend to do.
- 31:27Speaker 1: They say absolutely zero about their plans going forward. Instead
- 31:33Speaker 1: what happens. It was a shocking by the way, because
- 31:35Speaker 1: if it's a leadership election, you would think and that's
- 31:38Speaker 1: the first time I'm learning about this. I thought for
- 31:42Speaker 1: sure there was a Hey, here's why I still think
- 31:44Speaker 1: I should be the leader. Mitch McConnell, right, this is
- 31:46Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. This is what we're gonna how
- 31:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna do things, this is and then would answer
- 31:51Speaker 1: questions you're saying that will not happen on Wednesday, and
- 31:54Speaker 1: does not happen in the past either, So I can
- 31:57Speaker 1: tell you in the past it has never happened. And
- 32:00Speaker 1: look you point out think back to like when you
- 32:03Speaker 1: and I were in junior high student council elections. Sure
- 32:07Speaker 1: someone would stand up and say elect me to student
- 32:10Speaker 1: council and if you do, I'll have chocolate ice cream
- 32:13Speaker 1: in the cafeteria. Like like they'd have some promise of
- 32:17Speaker 1: what they're gonna do, and you'd be like, oh, okay,
- 32:19Speaker 1: I like that. I'll vote for you. I naively came
- 32:22Speaker 1: in and said, okay, I assume that's what the leader
- 32:24Speaker 1: elections are like. They don't give any speeches at all. Instead,
- 32:27Speaker 1: other senators stand up and give nominating speeches, and the
- 32:31Speaker 1: nominating speeches are like, are these epic poems composed to
- 32:37Speaker 1: the leaders? And so I've been there ten years. I
- 32:43Speaker 1: have never voted for or against Mitch McConnell. Why is
- 32:45Speaker 1: that no one's ever run against him? And every election
- 32:49Speaker 1: has been a vote by acclamation. In other words, he's
- 32:51Speaker 1: just been adopted by acclamation. We've never had a cast
- 32:53Speaker 1: a vote. My first year I saw that. I was like, okay,
- 32:58Speaker 1: this is really bizarre. But then two years later, twenty fourteen,
- 33:02Speaker 1: i'd been in the Senate for two years, something new developed,
- 33:06Speaker 1: which is, in twenty fourteen, for the first year, Mitch
- 33:08Speaker 1: McConnell created a superpack. And Mitch's superpack raises and spends
- 33:15Speaker 1: about three hundred million dollars every two years to elect
- 33:18Speaker 1: Senate Republicans. I remember sitting there in twenty fourteen, two
- 33:23Speaker 1: years into my term in the Senate, amazed and horrified,
- 33:28Speaker 1: in fact, texting Mike Lee, the wonderful conservative from Utah
- 33:33Speaker 1: and my closest friends. This is terrible because today Mitch
- 33:39Speaker 1: McConnell is the single largest donor to every single Republican
- 33:42Speaker 1: senator almost without exception. He doesn't give to my campaigns.
- 33:46Speaker 1: He didn't give a penny to Mike Lee's campaign six
- 33:50Speaker 1: years ago. He didn't give a penny to Ron Johnson's campaign.
- 33:54Speaker 1: But Mitch. For most of the Republicans in the Senate,
- 33:57Speaker 1: Mitch is spending ten million, in twenty million, thirty million,
- 34:01Speaker 1: as much as forty million dollars on their races. So
- 34:04Speaker 1: most of the Republicans are scared to cross him. I
- 34:09Speaker 1: do think this cycle it may be different. So I
- 34:12Speaker 1: have publicly called for delaying the leadership elections from Wednesday
- 34:16Speaker 1: till after the Georgia runoff, which is on December sixth. Now,
- 34:19Speaker 1: Senator Cruz had a lot more to say than just this,
- 34:22Speaker 1: and if you want to hear the rest of it,
- 34:24Speaker 1: download Verdict with Ted Cruz, the podcast that co host
- 34:26Speaker 1: with him. You can hear our entire conversation. But the
- 34:29Speaker 1: crutch of what he was saying here I wanted to
- 34:31Speaker 1: play for you because it was that important. Also, don't
- 34:34Speaker 1: forget to download our podcast and wherever you get your
- 34:38Speaker 1: podcast Ben Ferguson Podcasts, and make sure that you call
- 34:44Speaker 1: your senator tell them to delay the vote on Mitch McConnell.
- 34:49Speaker 1: This vote should not happen. This vote is a disgusting
- 34:54Speaker 1: vote that they're trying to ram down our throats. Mitch
- 34:57Speaker 1: McConnell should not be in leadership anymore, and he is.
- 35:00Speaker 1: He screwed a lot of Republican candidates, didn't give the
- 35:04Speaker 1: money should have been given to places like Arizona where
- 35:07Speaker 1: we lost, and it is It is a shame that
- 35:11Speaker 1: he is still in power right now and we need
- 35:13Speaker 1: to demand that it stop.
