- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta use that turn you
- 1:22Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thaw, I shall will Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on now, dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me or one it only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Thank God for it all the time. Too. Well, here
- 2:15Speaker 1: we go today. I want to share something with you
- 2:19Speaker 1: that I'll help you because it's helped me. You know.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was telling the story once that this magazine called
- 2:30Speaker 1: Rob Report, that that was a statue I used to
- 2:33Speaker 1: see for years. I started buying Rob Reporting magazines years ago.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So I just wanted to see what a fluent people did,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you know, just wanted to see what people with means did,
- 2:47Speaker 1: what type of investments they did, what they bought, you know,
- 2:50Speaker 1: what they traveled to. The Rob Report. It's just like, oh,
- 2:53Speaker 1: it's like a big boy toy magazine. You can see
- 2:57Speaker 1: what cars is out. I didn't have money for none.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Of it. I was dreaming, though, you know, I just
- 3:02Speaker 1: wanted to see. And there's a statue inside this magazine
- 3:08Speaker 1: of this man who was coming out of this bronze rock.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And he was completely bronze, and he was muscular, and
- 3:18Speaker 1: you know, he didn't look nothing like me, but he
- 3:20Speaker 1: was a man coming up out of a rock. And
- 3:22Speaker 1: he had a huge hammer and a chisel in his hand.
- 3:26Speaker 1: And as his body from the waist up was coming
- 3:29Speaker 1: out of this huge piece of stone, you could see
- 3:31Speaker 1: where it was him who had been chiseling and forming himself.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So the name of the statue was self made man.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And for years man I said, Man, I'm gonna get
- 3:42Speaker 1: a big house one day, and I'm gonna put that
- 3:43Speaker 1: statue in the backyard in the corner. That's gonna be
- 3:47Speaker 1: my little spot where I go chill, because I'm a
- 3:50Speaker 1: self made man. Well, after years of working at becoming
- 3:56Speaker 1: somebody and having reached a degree of success, I would
- 4:04Speaker 1: have nothing to do with that statue. There's nothing about
- 4:08Speaker 1: that statue that appeals to me anymore. Because on my
- 4:12Speaker 1: journey and in my quest to become what I thought
- 4:16Speaker 1: would be this self made man, why I could put
- 4:19Speaker 1: this statue and had a statue in the corner, be
- 4:21Speaker 1: kind of cold, symbolizing it. I had made it. I
- 4:24Speaker 1: realized on my journey there's no such thing as a
- 4:28Speaker 1: self made man. That we all need help, and that
- 4:32Speaker 1: God places people in our paths along the way that
- 4:38Speaker 1: benefit us oftentimes, and it's the most unlikely person oftentimes,
- 4:43Speaker 1: and the most unlikely way that He presents these people
- 4:47Speaker 1: in front of you is crazy how he does it. Man.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And so this is a statue now that I look
- 4:52Speaker 1: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
- 4:55Speaker 1: And that's cool, but not not for me, because I
- 5:00Speaker 1: needed help. And I've learned a lot of things like
- 5:03Speaker 1: this along the way. And the part I wanted to
- 5:07Speaker 1: share with you all about this is you've got to develop.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You've got to develop a sense of purpose. You have
- 5:16Speaker 1: to develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See, your
- 5:21Speaker 1: purpose is created for you by God because when He
- 5:29Speaker 1: created you as an individual from whatever two parents you
- 5:32Speaker 1: may have, that's not important here. When he created you,
- 5:37Speaker 1: he had something in mind for you, and it was
- 5:41Speaker 1: a purpose. God has not created a single soul to
- 5:44Speaker 1: become a criminal. God has never created a single soul
- 5:48Speaker 1: to be a drug dealer. This came about through some
- 5:52Speaker 1: decisions we made as sinners, and we stayed in that place.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But see what He created us. He has a wonderful
- 6:02Speaker 1: idea for us. But God gives us human beings this
- 6:06Speaker 1: thing called choice, and we have the power to decide.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So you can decide if you're going to adhere to
- 6:11Speaker 1: the purpose that God created you and made you for,
- 6:14Speaker 1: or you can go ahead and make some choices on
- 6:17Speaker 1: your own. So like, if God wanted to give you
- 6:20Speaker 1: a life and give it to come to you and
- 6:22Speaker 1: give you life more abundantly, and that's his promise if
- 6:25Speaker 1: you come to him, if you choose him, then cool.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But if you say, well this ain't moving along fast enough,
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna get my own life of abundance, I'm gonna
- 6:35Speaker 1: start slinging. Well, guess what now, Tad. You've made a decision.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And see God's decisions and choices. The one thing I
- 6:44Speaker 1: learned about him, God's decisions, choices, his voice, it has
- 6:48Speaker 1: no sin in it. Ain't it amazing how many people
- 6:50Speaker 1: it came up to you and say, the Lord wanted
- 6:53Speaker 1: me to do this to you, and I'm doing it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That God is punishing you and I'm doing this to
- 6:57Speaker 1: you because God gonna see that you get your day.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Who is this person? Who is this person that God
- 7:04Speaker 1: all of a sudden gave this authority and power to God?
- 7:07Speaker 1: I didn't get that to nobody. Man, nobody, This person
- 7:10Speaker 1: don't had a right to hold you to your past,
- 7:13Speaker 1: the right to make you pay. So who makes them
- 7:17Speaker 1: pay when they make mistakes? Because they all make them.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So when I say you have to have a sense
- 7:23Speaker 1: of you have to develop a strong sense of purpose.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That means you have to strongly get in touch with
- 7:28Speaker 1: your creator to find out what the purpose you were
- 7:30Speaker 1: created for. See, it's two things that I had to
- 7:35Speaker 1: learn along the way. My career was what I was
- 7:38Speaker 1: paid for. My calling is what I was made for. See,
- 7:44Speaker 1: it's two different things, folks. It took me a long
- 7:47Speaker 1: time to learn it. Some people think that they calling
- 7:52Speaker 1: is to be a performer. Well, that's what you paid for,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and a big part of your life is your performance
- 7:58Speaker 1: is tied directly to your gift. But what you made for, though,
- 8:02Speaker 1: what you made for is to bring about some significant
- 8:06Speaker 1: change in another human being's lives because we are all
- 8:09Speaker 1: linked together in this chain. That's what you are here for.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Everybody has a purpose to do something wonderful, meaningful, or
- 8:18Speaker 1: impactful for another person. You think the guy that invented
- 8:23Speaker 1: the airplane was merely inventing the airplane so he could fly. No,
- 8:28Speaker 1: his purpose was to become an inventor, to come up
- 8:32Speaker 1: with this invention so he could fly and we all fly. See.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Sometimes God will make you successful so you can become
- 8:40Speaker 1: successful so you can turn around and teach other people
- 8:42Speaker 1: how to become successful. God save people, so you can
- 8:46Speaker 1: turn around it tell other people how wonderful it is
- 8:48Speaker 1: to be saved. You see how this thing work. That's
- 8:52Speaker 1: what we have to do as people. And it's nothing
- 8:55Speaker 1: that we have to go and discover. We have to
- 8:57Speaker 1: go and develop it. But if you haven't discovered your purpose,
- 9:00Speaker 1: it's simply because here's it. If you haven't discovered your
- 9:04Speaker 1: purpose is simply because you have not contacted the creator
- 9:11Speaker 1: and maker of your soul to ask and find out
- 9:16Speaker 1: why you were created. It's as simple as that. If
- 9:23Speaker 1: you buy a toyota, there's an owner's manual on the
- 9:28Speaker 1: inside that will tell you everything you know how to
- 9:32Speaker 1: best operate your toyota, how to make it work, how
- 9:36Speaker 1: what to do They got a troubleshooting section. Your faith
- 9:41Speaker 1: is the same thing as an owner's manual in your car.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Open up that bulk man. Find out how to jumpstart
- 9:49Speaker 1: your life, how to troubleshoot it and get on with
- 9:51Speaker 1: your life, and find out your purpose and develop a
- 9:54Speaker 1: strong sense of purpose. All right, okay, you're listening to show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your undivided attention. Please.
- 10:05Speaker 1: This is the Morning Time, this is the morning Show.
- 10:09Speaker 1: This is your man, Steve Harvey. Now I got some
- 10:12Speaker 1: people with men. I am about to introduce them. Don't
- 10:15Speaker 1: nobody clapped till I'm completely through. Shirley Strawberry, Good morning, Steve.
- 10:22Speaker 1: How are you doing? Obviously we're on some type of delay.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Caller Pharrell, Good morning. What's up? Crow? Hasty? That damn
- 10:32Speaker 1: junior morning? Everybody morning? Up here on time. Nephew Tommy,
- 10:37Speaker 1: good morning, sir. Okay, using you're ready for love voice? Okay, yeah, yeah,

- 10:54Speaker 1: you got a real good on your hand. Thank you
- 10:57Speaker 1: so good. My mama watched that. Yeah, I'm I'm not

- 11:24Speaker 1: nothing show. Everybody was texting me, Now what time is
- 11:29Speaker 1: it on again? When does it come on? When does
- 11:31Speaker 1: it come on? Spoiler Like, I'm not telling y'all. Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: it's better and better good. You gonna show up, show out,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and then really show out the natural. Oh god, but
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know something, no, man, You know, man, when you
- 11:51Speaker 1: see people on a weekly basis on these shows, you
- 11:55Speaker 1: really do understand why some people don't have nobody. Yeah
- 12:00Speaker 1: you do, you really do. You go wait a minute, wait,
- 12:06Speaker 1: that's how you act, and you think that's the way
- 12:10Speaker 1: it's supposed to go. Yeah, ain't nobody feeling to put
- 12:15Speaker 1: up with that? So okay, you know it's it's a
- 12:17Speaker 1: it's a it's a representative at first, but that wears off,
- 12:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Then about the second or
- 12:25Speaker 1: third week, you'd be like, that's who you really are
- 12:28Speaker 1: right there, because they're a little nervous at first, You're
- 12:30Speaker 1: saying they don't know what to expect So they're kind
- 12:33Speaker 1: of they got the guards up everybodies, you know, kind
- 12:35Speaker 1: of yeah, kind of kind of not saying much. Well,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I thank you, right though, Tommy, I thank you right.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I think it's the representative. Yeah, but that representative can't
- 12:48Speaker 1: can't hold on for a whole season. No, nah, can't
- 12:51Speaker 1: last long. See that whole season. You all passed the
- 12:54Speaker 1: ninety days. Yeah, that's exactly real life. Gonna say something
- 13:03Speaker 1: you don't like and then the representative has to take
- 13:05Speaker 1: a seat. Yeah, yeah, all come the real somebody say
- 13:13Speaker 1: something you like, yeah, and the representative got to go
- 13:17Speaker 1: take a seat. Oh, let's do it, nady. Oh wait,
- 13:23Speaker 1: you are celibate photo show start. Yeah it was a
- 13:29Speaker 1: week ago. It was a week ago. But you say
- 13:32Speaker 1: like weave, So I got weave. So what we white? Now?
- 13:37Speaker 1: All right, listen, guys coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:39Speaker 1: after the hour, get ready for Ask the Clo right
- 13:43Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show time now for Ask
- 13:49Speaker 1: the Clo. Uh you're ready, Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. Okay,
- 13:56Speaker 1: let's go. This one is from Serafia and Montgomery, Alabama.
- 14:00Speaker 1: She says, I'm a fifty two year old woman and
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm in a situation with one of my dad's cousins.
- 14:05Speaker 1: My dad has called this man his cousin all my life,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but it's one of those distant down the line cousins
- 14:13Speaker 1: that's neither here nor there. Because he and my dad
- 14:16Speaker 1: are close. His cousin is a handyman, and he came
- 14:19Speaker 1: to fix my washing machine three months ago and stayed
- 14:22Speaker 1: for dinner, drinks, and sex. I really put it on him,
- 14:26Speaker 1: and now he wants to be with me, and he
- 14:29Speaker 1: doesn't care what my dad thinks. He said at sixty one,
- 14:33Speaker 1: he's finally found love and he's not letting me go.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Should he tell my dad or should I? Well, no,
- 14:40Speaker 1: first of all, let's talk about a couple, because I
- 14:44Speaker 1: ain't done this in a while, So excuse me for
- 14:46Speaker 1: having this richboard moment. But you say he came by
- 14:49Speaker 1: the house to fix your washing machine? Is the main
- 14:54Speaker 1: tag man steel working making house calls. I didn't even
- 15:00Speaker 1: know that, and it is it a maytag. So y'all
- 15:09Speaker 1: came by fix the washing machine, had dinner, drinks and
- 15:16Speaker 1: some sex. You put it on a real good your
- 15:19Speaker 1: daddy's cousin and nah, wait a minute, Now down the line,
- 15:24Speaker 1: distant cousin. No, no, no, no, I don't give a
- 15:27Speaker 1: damn what you're saying. You're gonna have to tell No.
- 15:32Speaker 1: She said, that's neither here nor there, But that's gonna
- 15:34Speaker 1: be right here when you're going there, And tell your daddy.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Now it's her daddy's friend. Now. She fifty one, her
- 15:44Speaker 1: daddy probably in his seventies. Now, this little cousin boy,
- 15:50Speaker 1: it's like me and nephew Tommy, ten year difference. Little
- 15:54Speaker 1: cousin Barden came over and tapped his daughter. It's gonna
- 15:59Speaker 1: be a sex in him late, it's gonna be a
- 16:03Speaker 1: situation in him. Well, the cousin said, he's finally found love.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Don't forget this clo and he's not letting her go okay,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and he doesn't care what her dad thinks. Ain't nobody
- 16:17Speaker 1: told you saying yeah, dinner dreams, He don't care. Yeah,
- 16:28Speaker 1: all right, let's move on Alexi and Detroit, because that
- 16:33Speaker 1: relationship is gonna be what it is. Alexei and Detroit.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Steve says, I'm a twenty eight year old female and
- 16:38Speaker 1: I met a thirty two year old man at my
- 16:40Speaker 1: new church for our first and only date. I met
- 16:44Speaker 1: him at a dance studio because he's into ballroom dancing.
- 16:48Speaker 1: He had on a full leotard and he flowed effortlessly
- 16:52Speaker 1: around the dance floor with his lips pursed and his
- 16:55Speaker 1: toes pointed. I wasn't as good as him, so he
- 16:59Speaker 1: grabbed a mail partner and kept dancing. As I watched.
- 17:03Speaker 1: That date was so different, and I was turned off.
- 17:06Speaker 1: He asked me for a second date. Should I ask
- 17:10Speaker 1: him if he's heterosexual before the next date? C l oh,
- 17:17Speaker 1: don't cloth come on. Clothe wont to be involved in
- 17:22Speaker 1: this type of question due to the climate win these dates,
- 17:27Speaker 1: so I have to be very careful how I answer this.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So just let me go over what you said. Okay,
- 17:35Speaker 1: if you own a date with a man whose lips
- 17:38Speaker 1: is perched and they have on full leatage, and when
- 17:45Speaker 1: you ain't dancing, ass flowing and flee freely and your
- 17:49Speaker 1: tones don't point as good as his point, and he
- 17:54Speaker 1: grabs a man to finish dance, shit, you go on
- 18:01Speaker 1: another day. I ain't got to ask him nothing about sexuality.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not gonna say that and get
- 18:10Speaker 1: in no damn trouble. But you got on the four
- 18:14Speaker 1: leotar set. You can point your toes better than she can't.
- 18:21Speaker 1: That's because he's a dancing dancing Yeah, that was ball
- 18:25Speaker 1: room That ain't that. I thought it was ballroom too,
- 18:27Speaker 1: Tommy to point ain't in ballroom dance. But if leotars
- 18:33Speaker 1: ain't in ball Hello that you did that yourself. If
- 18:36Speaker 1: you're in the dance studio, no, not o. But that's
- 18:41Speaker 1: aceptible dance. Tu see though, Yeah, that's ballroom dancing. Yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 1: but stars every week though we ain't see I ain't
- 18:51Speaker 1: seen nobody. Nelly didn't have on four leotars. But he's
- 18:56Speaker 1: not a professor dancer star, he's the star on Dancing
- 19:00Speaker 1: with the Star. Yeah, I think you're looking at this
- 19:03Speaker 1: this a different way, Steve. We're looking at it through
- 19:06Speaker 1: a leotard the same way you gave it to it
- 19:09Speaker 1: looking at im. But the leotard is acceptable for a
- 19:14Speaker 1: man or a woman if you're a dancer. Though plenty
- 19:17Speaker 1: of Junior was saying, Steve, but just like Julia had
- 19:22Speaker 1: listening and dancing with the stars, when they dance, they
- 19:26Speaker 1: do different types of dancing because they're professional dancing, so
- 19:30Speaker 1: you just never know what dance. Wait a minute, hold
- 19:35Speaker 1: on hold hold on, y'all, hold on just to see
- 19:39Speaker 1: say that k see how many more me? And he
- 19:48Speaker 1: grabbed and finish up the dance with all right, we're
- 19:52Speaker 1: moving on, Edgar, She said, I'm an older gentleman and
- 19:57Speaker 1: I've been in a relationship for eleven years. It's what
- 20:00Speaker 1: you pay attention with a beautiful, feisty woman. I wanted
- 20:04Speaker 1: to marry be Ahead Junior. I wanted to marry her
- 20:06Speaker 1: years ago, but she doesn't believe in marriage. She's cheated
- 20:09Speaker 1: on me twice years ago. I forgave her, but I
- 20:12Speaker 1: didn't forget. I think she's interested in someone new again
- 20:15Speaker 1: because she's been talking about getting a breathlift and eyelift
- 20:18Speaker 1: and boat hot. I'm more laid back, but she loves
- 20:21Speaker 1: to run the streets and travel. Will she ever settled down?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Or do you think she's up to something? I don't know, dude,
- 20:27Speaker 1: but I'm telling you, if you can't get where you
- 20:29Speaker 1: want to go with him, if you go down to
- 20:31Speaker 1: this dance studio, there's a dude down there with some
- 20:34Speaker 1: leotizo with some pointy toes, and when the water's right,
- 20:39Speaker 1: he snatched me in up and go dancing, And you
- 20:42Speaker 1: might have your problem solved. Coming up next to nephew,
- 20:47Speaker 1: run that break back. Thank you see l oh, you're listening.
- 20:52Speaker 1: She's a Steve Harvey Morning show. Coming up at the
- 20:55Speaker 1: top of the hour, Missanna standing by with today's national news,
- 20:59Speaker 1: and then enter Tainment News. The American Music Award nominations
- 21:02Speaker 1: are in. Carla will update us inside Music News. Also
- 21:06Speaker 1: on Entertainment News, Marlon Wayans told Tiffany Hattish why she
- 21:09Speaker 1: was never cast in any of his films because he
- 21:14Speaker 1: says she was over the top. We'll talk about all
- 21:16Speaker 1: of these stories at the top of the hour, but
- 21:18Speaker 1: right now the nephew is here, would run that prank back?
- 21:21Speaker 1: What you got for us? Nev You can't come back
- 21:24Speaker 1: to church? Who a you're talking to them? Okay, you
- 21:29Speaker 1: can't come back to church. How dare you judge me?
- 21:34Speaker 1: We having problems? You can't. You can't. We were not
- 21:36Speaker 1: not no time soon. You can't come back to church.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Let's go cat though. Hello, I'm trying to reach this
- 21:44Speaker 1: to sher Reees Mayfield, who is Deacon Bobs from from
- 21:49Speaker 1: the church, Deacon who bounds from from our church? Yes, yes, ma'am,
- 21:55Speaker 1: okay from from from can you hear me? Good. There's
- 21:59Speaker 1: old phone gonna work. We're good. Yeah, my phonal came.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Okay that I called it. The deacon board didn't had
- 22:07Speaker 1: a meeting as well as uh pastors and uh they
- 22:11Speaker 1: didn't have a meeting. That come to the understanding that, uh,
- 22:16Speaker 1: they're gonna ask you to not come to church right
- 22:19Speaker 1: now because that about that the bars of your airic
- 22:23Speaker 1: and James being in jail the way there is and
- 22:27Speaker 1: want to want you to just stop. I don't know
- 22:30Speaker 1: if they're gonna suspend you from church right now, but
- 22:32Speaker 1: they they think it put a bad look on the church.
- 22:37Speaker 1: My kids being in jail put a bad look on
- 22:39Speaker 1: the church. Well that's what that's what's what the that's
- 22:42Speaker 1: what they come up with. Now, we didn't had a
- 22:44Speaker 1: meeting with the deacon board and with passing stoves. I
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't understand why y'all have a meeting meeting about my
- 22:49Speaker 1: kids in the church. What my kids got to do
- 22:53Speaker 1: with the church. Well, what we're trying to do is
- 22:55Speaker 1: show a good example to the youth that we got there. Okay,
- 22:59Speaker 1: you can show a good example about me being there,
- 23:01Speaker 1: paying my ties and offering. Well, that was another thing
- 23:05Speaker 1: that's been brought down attention that we're gonna be calling
- 23:07Speaker 1: a lot of members about it. People not paying the
- 23:10Speaker 1: tie the way they fold. I pay my task. I
- 23:12Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know who told you that, Deacon Mars.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I don't even know, first of all, who you are.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And I'm not trying to be mean to you, and
- 23:19Speaker 1: I don't I don't even understand why you how you
- 23:22Speaker 1: even got my phone number. I pay my ties, I
- 23:25Speaker 1: pay my offering. Go on your computer at the church,
- 23:28Speaker 1: call your secretary or whoever. Let me, let me, let
- 23:31Speaker 1: me ask you this, just makee Do you pay your
- 23:34Speaker 1: tie according to what you make? Yes? I do check
- 23:39Speaker 1: the books. What now what it is? We can't check
- 23:42Speaker 1: the books that we don't know exactly what you make?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Is what I'm saying. What I make is my bustinance
- 23:50Speaker 1: between me and Jesus. I give him his ten percent.
- 23:54Speaker 1: And that's how Mars. He'll need to know understand exactly
- 23:58Speaker 1: where you come from, but not to me. Ain't issue
- 24:00Speaker 1: on tables about the boys and and and being you know,
- 24:05Speaker 1: disrupted the way to hell. They don't want that to
- 24:07Speaker 1: be to bleed over to the youth. Quiet, Wait a minute,
- 24:10Speaker 1: Wait a minute, And first of all, I would appreciate
- 24:13Speaker 1: if you would have pastor to tell me this hisself.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And then second of all, if somebody kids is having
- 24:19Speaker 1: trouble in the world or whatever, y'all supposed to pray
- 24:21Speaker 1: for him, not put them at the church or they Mama, Well, I'm, I'm, I'm,
- 24:26Speaker 1: we're gonna, we're gonna pray for and we're gonna pray
- 24:28Speaker 1: for you too, But we don't want them shared over
- 24:31Speaker 1: to the youth that we got that doing good with that. Well,
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep coming. Y'all can't stop me from coming
- 24:37Speaker 1: to the church. I'm gonna keep coming. So I don't
- 24:40Speaker 1: know who you're talking to. And you tell a pastor
- 24:43Speaker 1: to call me hitself and tell me I can't come
- 24:46Speaker 1: to Hell, and you have nobody calling me telling me
- 24:49Speaker 1: that I can't come to hell. That is a free church.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the pastor called up as you get
- 24:56Speaker 1: the pastor to call me, because you have no business
- 24:59Speaker 1: calling me to let me I can't come to God's house,
- 25:02Speaker 1: which is Mayville. I don't want you to get into
- 25:04Speaker 1: role with me now. I'm not getting I'm not getting
- 25:07Speaker 1: angry with nobody. Did I work? I don't work eighteen
- 25:10Speaker 1: sixteen hours today, I don't have half nobody calling me
- 25:13Speaker 1: telling me that I can't come to a church that
- 25:15Speaker 1: I pay my cars and offering that not that I
- 25:18Speaker 1: own the church. I pay my casts because that's that's
- 25:20Speaker 1: due to God. But y'all really making me upset by
- 25:23Speaker 1: telling me I can't come now because of my kids
- 25:26Speaker 1: in their troubles. Where was you this past son to you?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Wasn't there? I want that church because I had over
- 25:34Speaker 1: stuff that Why is that any of your bills? Now?
- 25:37Speaker 1: There you go being an up road with me again.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I don't know who this is. How could you call
- 25:43Speaker 1: somebody about church buists over the phone. This don't make sense.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Chise Mayfeld Hello, Yeah, one more thing. This nephew timent
- 25:55Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning Ship. I got you, y'all.

- 26:25Speaker 1: You know what I like about you? Though, Ain't nobody
- 26:29Speaker 1: gonna keep you out the Lord's House. You're gonna show
- 26:33Speaker 1: up and show out every Sunday. Every Sunday, I'm coming
- 26:37Speaker 1: to Church of Jesus. Thank you, every baby. Let me
- 26:43Speaker 1: ask you something. That's the baddest radio show in the land. Now,
- 26:48Speaker 1: do you even have to ask me that the Steve
- 26:51Speaker 1: Harvey more than itself. You know you can't be put
- 26:58Speaker 1: out the church. You do know as possible. I did
- 27:01Speaker 1: not know that. The pastor, Well, I'm just saying you
- 27:07Speaker 1: can't come back to church. You know what I'm doing
- 27:09Speaker 1: a prankster. It's what pranksters don't come back to church.
- 27:17Speaker 1: We don't want to see you Ryan here. Your boys
- 27:19Speaker 1: is just a bad influence on the rest of the kids.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's just not all right. Get y'all lives together, and
- 27:25Speaker 1: then you can come on back to the House of
- 27:27Speaker 1: the law. Won't he do it? Won't he do it? Really?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Won't it? Won't it will? Yes? Yes, yes, yes, make
- 27:40Speaker 1: a way out of no way? A man? What's next?

- 30:36Speaker 1: the New School, like the generational gap is too far
- 30:40Speaker 1: between Buster and Try. Yeah, yeah, I can see that.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I can see that. I don't man, I'm talking about

- 33:04Speaker 1: miss A and trip. Thank you very much, and this
- 33:07Speaker 1: is a trip of the news. Everybody, Good morning. Well,
- 33:10Speaker 1: as expected, the Republican dominated US Senate did vote last
- 33:13Speaker 1: night fifty two to forty eight to confirm right wing
- 33:17Speaker 1: judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, and with
- 33:20Speaker 1: her confirmation coming only eight days before election day and
- 33:23Speaker 1: only thirty days appters she was nominated. That makes her
- 33:26Speaker 1: confirmation process one of the fastest in US history. Judge
- 33:30Speaker 1: Barrett fills the seat left, of course, vacant by the
- 33:32Speaker 1: death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Justice Clarence Thomas.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Delivered the preliminary swearing into office or last night. She'll
- 33:40Speaker 1: be sworn into office this morning officially as well. Barrett's
- 33:43Speaker 1: lifetime appointment gives Conservatives a six to three majority on
- 33:47Speaker 1: the High Court, and the right wing court will now
- 33:50Speaker 1: have the opportunity to make a number of decisions on
- 33:52Speaker 1: some controversial issues, including reproductive rights, Second Amendment rights that
- 33:57Speaker 1: would be guns, and the affordable healthcare reacting to it,
- 34:01Speaker 1: though sent a majority, Leader Mitch McConnell seems somewhat resigned
- 34:04Speaker 1: to receiving bad news on election day, but with some
- 34:07Speaker 1: sort of legacy, a lot of what we've done over
- 34:09Speaker 1: the last four years will be undone sooner or later.
- 34:12Speaker 1: By the next election. It won't be able to do
- 34:14Speaker 1: much about this for a long time to come. In fact,
- 34:18Speaker 1: Donald Trump has now put three people on the Supreme
- 34:20Speaker 1: Court and filled over one hundred federal judge ships with conservatives.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Cops in Boston say they've arrested a thirty nine year
- 34:26Speaker 1: old man for setting a ballot dropbox on fire outside
- 34:29Speaker 1: of Boston Public Library Sunday morning. Authority say the act
- 34:32Speaker 1: appeared deliberate and that a court already had an active
- 34:35Speaker 1: warn't out against the suspect. His name is World d Armad.
- 34:39Speaker 1: As for the ballots, they say that out of the
- 34:40Speaker 1: one hundred twenty two that were inside that box, eighty
- 34:43Speaker 1: seven are legible and are able to be processed. Most
- 34:46Speaker 1: of the remaining thirty five could probably be read, but
- 34:50Speaker 1: as many as ten, maybe five to ten will quote
- 34:52Speaker 1: badly damage. One of the three white Louisville, Kentucky cops
- 34:56Speaker 1: involved in the killing of black female Lubernacy medical technician
- 35:00Speaker 1: on A. Taylor, admitting that the young woman quote didn't
- 35:03Speaker 1: do anything to deserve a death sentence. Sergeant John Manley
- 35:06Speaker 1: two others ram their way into miss Taylor's apartment around
- 35:09Speaker 1: one o'clock in the morning as part of a no
- 35:11Speaker 1: knock warrant looking for a drugs suspect who'd been arrested
- 35:14Speaker 1: at another location hours early. A grand jury refused to
- 35:18Speaker 1: indict any of the cops involved in shooting her to death.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Warner Brothers has signed one of the founders of the
- 35:24Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement to an overall media deal. Patrise
- 35:28Speaker 1: Coolers will reportedly develop and produce original programming for all platforms,
- 35:32Speaker 1: streaming services, cable, and the five broadcast networks. She's also
- 35:36Speaker 1: to work with Warner Brothers to create opportunities for black storytelling. Finally,
- 35:40Speaker 1: our prayers good wishes go out to rock and roll
- 35:43Speaker 1: legend and club owner mister personality Lloyd Price. Lloyd Price
- 35:48Speaker 1: is eighty seven years old. He just underwent a diabetes
- 35:51Speaker 1: related operation and we pray for his recovery. Now back
- 35:54Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:00Speaker 1: In trending political news in seven days now, just one week,
- 36:04Speaker 1: guys before the election, Vice President Mike Penns, his chief
- 36:08Speaker 1: of staff, and several other aides have tested positive for
- 36:11Speaker 1: the virus. Despite all of that, pen No, he doesn't
- 36:16Speaker 1: have it. He does not have it. Yeah, everybody work
- 36:20Speaker 1: with him. Yeah, his staff has it. Yeah yeah. Yeah.
- 36:25Speaker 1: He's on the campaign trail though, saying Having said all
- 36:28Speaker 1: of that, also, yesterday the President held three Make America
- 36:32Speaker 1: Great Again. Rallies in Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, singer Phil Collins get
- 36:37Speaker 1: this guy's Phil Collins has had it Okay, Yesterday Phil
- 36:42Speaker 1: got his attorney to fire off a cease and assist
- 36:46Speaker 1: letter to the Trump campaign to stop playing his song
- 36:50Speaker 1: in the air tonight at his rallies. Phil Collins does
- 36:54Speaker 1: not appreciate how Trump is trivializing COVID nineteen. Okay, come on, yeah,
- 37:03Speaker 1: clad hit him. Look at STIPID I know, dancing in
- 37:17Speaker 1: his chair. I like that though, so crazy. Yeah, shut
- 37:25Speaker 1: it down because it's not a joke. Also, yesterday Joe
- 37:30Speaker 1: Biden said Trump the worst person possible to lead us
- 37:34Speaker 1: through this pandemic. And he's correct and he couldn't be
- 37:38Speaker 1: more right. Don't play the song no more? Bind come

- 38:32Speaker 1: They're not gonna do it again? No, because he's supposed
- 38:35Speaker 1: to go to Arizona the president. You can't do that.
- 38:40Speaker 1: You can't play them songs on i G. You can't
- 38:43Speaker 1: play them on Facebook. You can't take a person's music
- 38:48Speaker 1: and just play it and benefit from it. They getting
- 38:53Speaker 1: campaign contributions. Get out of here. We're gonna switch gears here,
- 38:58Speaker 1: have a little fun. Back to your childhood, guys, and
- 39:02Speaker 1: I got to ask you this, What is the most
- 39:04Speaker 1: unsafe thing your parents let you do as a kid? Okay,
- 39:09Speaker 1: we'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 39:12Speaker 1: the Steve Morning Show. Here's the question, what's the most
- 39:17Speaker 1: unsafe thing your parents let you do as a kid.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Here's a comment from JJ that we saw on Facebook.
- 39:23Speaker 1: It says, now that I'm a parent, when I think
- 39:25Speaker 1: about it, all of the unsafe things my parent let
- 39:28Speaker 1: me do as a kid, it makes me say, what
- 39:31Speaker 1: the hell? It was truly different back then. I remember
- 39:35Speaker 1: my dad letting my brother and I have baby guns.
- 39:39Speaker 1: We also build a mini bike out of a lawnmower engine,
- 39:43Speaker 1: which we would crash on a regular basis. So, I mean,
- 39:51Speaker 1: you guys, think about it. Steve, Tommy Junior, how was
- 39:55Speaker 1: your your childhood unsafe compared to the kids today? Best
- 40:00Speaker 1: Tommy and Steve. Y'all parents and we played outside a lot. Yeah,
- 40:07Speaker 1: I got a hunted up go ahead. One of the
- 40:10Speaker 1: first thing my parents they knew that was unsafe, was
- 40:12Speaker 1: like in six cooky, I got the whole operation of
- 40:18Speaker 1: the stove. They left me cook at six years old.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You were boiling hot dogs on high water gold out
- 40:27Speaker 1: the pot. I ain't got no water in here. Why
- 40:30Speaker 1: you could have burnt the whole house to the hound shot.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I didn't do that was put a pizza in the
- 40:38Speaker 1: oven in the box. Did not know this? Oh that
- 40:43Speaker 1: was a woman. I got old. You said, warming up,
- 40:47Speaker 1: I've been cooking. Come onlips clips off the house, off
- 40:55Speaker 1: the top of the house. My cousin got. My brother
- 40:58Speaker 1: did flip off the house and on the ground. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 1: lip off the house. Problem. My brother did that. That
- 41:05Speaker 1: was it, Tommy. We was we was trying to kill you.
- 41:13Speaker 1: The parents never knew that, Timmy. They didn't let you
- 41:15Speaker 1: do that. We told you, they said you could. That
- 41:21Speaker 1: is just not nice, all right? Come on, big dog?
- 41:24Speaker 1: What you got going down the freeway in a station
- 41:28Speaker 1: wagon standing up in the back seat, hanging out the
- 41:33Speaker 1: window looking no seat belt, no, none of that. Back then,
- 41:40Speaker 1: we just standing up head out the wonder like a dog.
- 41:44Speaker 1: JT A lot of bugs, I bet oh, oh I
- 41:55Speaker 1: got one. I got one. I wanted this so bad.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I wanted to smoke my dad's cigar, and I begged
- 42:02Speaker 1: and begged until finally he said, okay, cool, you're gonna
- 42:05Speaker 1: smoke the whole damn thing. I was nine. I was
- 42:10Speaker 1: throwing up for three days. I was literally throwing all.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I didn't want to see another sing. Wow, come on, Junior,
- 42:18Speaker 1: got anything else, Steve, y'all, let you know nothing. Probably
- 42:22Speaker 1: wasn't safe, but as a kid, but I'm like ten,
- 42:25Speaker 1: catching the city bus to school, not the school bus.
- 42:27Speaker 1: The city bus hid the hell. I was supposed to
- 42:29Speaker 1: know a bus routing team. I got to find my
- 42:32Speaker 1: old way school. I didn't know. Get your ass out there.
- 42:35Speaker 1: I ain't. I can't take it this morning. Just get on.
- 42:38Speaker 1: We know we're running behind. Just get on the bus
- 42:41Speaker 1: three seven, eight Broadway. Take it to your senior school.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I love your family. I supposed to know that at
- 42:51Speaker 1: ten you can close it out. No, we got a minute.
- 42:57Speaker 1: We lived in an industrial city, factories, Republic steel form.
- 43:01Speaker 1: They letting me make and eat snow ice cream. Yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 1: growing up in Chicago, I've had some of those right
- 43:14Speaker 1: down the street from the steel men here. Well it's
- 43:21Speaker 1: calming monoxide. Who's next? Come on, I'll tell you nothing
- 43:35Speaker 1: they let me do. Okay, it's unsafe for kids to
- 43:38Speaker 1: take shots of crown. I'm just gonna tell you that
- 43:40Speaker 1: right now, Your love, I ain't got no love for this.
- 43:53Speaker 1: It's unsafet of crowded dead. Oh my god. All right, listen.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Coming up next, the nephew is here with today's Frank
- 44:05Speaker 1: phone call. Right after this, you're listening to Dave Harvey
- 44:10Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today,
- 44:17Speaker 1: the subject I can't stand my family period period. All right,
- 44:27Speaker 1: But the nephew is here right now for today's Frank

- 45:10Speaker 1: right now. Okay, no problem. Hey listen, um, I was
- 45:14Speaker 1: getting your call. You know, there's only a handful of
- 45:17Speaker 1: black kids at the school, you know, being a private
- 45:19Speaker 1: school and all, and we the black parents, we all
- 45:24Speaker 1: got together and had a meeting a couple of nights ago. Okay,
- 45:26Speaker 1: you said, all the black parents. Okay, I wasn't there.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Why wasn't our call? Uh, well, we actually had a
- 45:32Speaker 1: meeting about your daughter, Kaylin. Oh well, what about Kaylin?
- 45:36Speaker 1: She is there a problem at school that she's creating
- 45:39Speaker 1: or something I don't even know about. What's what's going
- 45:41Speaker 1: on with? Well? Actually, we're you know, we feel privileged
- 45:44Speaker 1: to be you know, you know, like I said, there's
- 45:46Speaker 1: only a handful of blacks, and we try to carry
- 45:48Speaker 1: ourselves in a dignified way, our presence, our attitude, the
- 45:52Speaker 1: way we handle ourselves. And uh, you know, Kaylin's doing
- 45:56Speaker 1: very good in school from what I understand, and very
- 45:58Speaker 1: nice with all the rest of the kids. She's getting along.
- 46:00Speaker 1: That's not the problem. What we're what we're trying to
- 46:02Speaker 1: get is the grooming of Kaylin. You know, Kaylin has
- 46:07Speaker 1: these braids, and what we were trying to do is give.
- 46:11Speaker 1: You know, we had a meeting about it. We want
- 46:13Speaker 1: to hold hold of Did you just say her grooming
- 46:17Speaker 1: something wrong with her grooming? Well, it's not necessarily her clothing,
- 46:20Speaker 1: of course, you know the kids were the uniforms, but
- 46:22Speaker 1: the braids. You know, we want to represent ourselves with
- 46:26Speaker 1: a lot of dignity the way we carry ourselves. We
- 46:29Speaker 1: want to be um, you know, pretty much nice and clean,
- 46:32Speaker 1: spitting polished. We would really prefer for her hair was
- 46:35Speaker 1: straight and opposed to being braided up. You know, you mean,
- 46:40Speaker 1: it kind of gives off a ghetto type of look
- 46:42Speaker 1: to it, and that's what we're trying to avoid. Are
- 46:45Speaker 1: you crazy? It's something wrong with you. You know, first
- 46:48Speaker 1: of all, how the hell you get my num? If
- 46:50Speaker 1: you couldn't call me for the meeting, why you calling
- 46:52Speaker 1: me now? Well, like I said, man, the meeting was
- 46:55Speaker 1: to get the general consensus on where all the parents
- 46:57Speaker 1: feeling the same way about your daughter and her braid.
- 47:00Speaker 1: You know, we're just trying to keep everything class here.
- 47:03Speaker 1: When it comes to the blacks attended school, there's only
- 47:05Speaker 1: ten of us, you know, ten children attending. I'll tell
- 47:08Speaker 1: you what you can attend. You could what you can
- 47:10Speaker 1: attend to. Is this phone hanging up in your grace?
- 47:14Speaker 1: You tell up the parents, all of them for me.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Y'all can go straight and hit rock bottom out of hell.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Talk about my child with her braids. Her braids are ethnic,
- 47:23Speaker 1: they are nice, she's wearing rooms and I don't know
- 47:26Speaker 1: hid in the hell you got my telephone number. But
- 47:29Speaker 1: tell all the parents for me to kiss the crack
- 47:31Speaker 1: am out. You know what. Listen, First of all, I
- 47:33Speaker 1: don't like the way that you're talking to me. Okay,
- 47:35Speaker 1: I carry myself with class, with dignity. I'm spitting polish
- 47:38Speaker 1: man subject you. I can just as ghetto as her hairstyle.
- 47:48Speaker 1: And let me say something real ghetto to your Okay,
- 47:51Speaker 1: you and all parents can hit rock from out of hell.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Don't call me no more with no like this. This
- 47:58Speaker 1: is ignorant. I'm far on this. My child is well groomed.
- 48:02Speaker 1: She is going to go to school. As a matter
- 48:04Speaker 1: of fact, as much money as it costs could go
- 48:06Speaker 1: there too. Y'all should have been meeting on how we
- 48:08Speaker 1: can get together and pay the tuition? How about fact?
- 48:11Speaker 1: Are you turning to sit here and tell me that
- 48:12Speaker 1: you got a problem taking her brains down? And wearing
- 48:14Speaker 1: her hair straight so she can look a lot more
- 48:16Speaker 1: classy than what she looks right now. At your pathetic
- 48:19Speaker 1: look that she's having right now. You know what I don't.
- 48:22Speaker 1: What's your hair looked like? Take a picture of your
- 48:24Speaker 1: self and send it to me texted to me since
- 48:26Speaker 1: you get folks phoned numbs and give it to you.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Take a picture of your self and texted to me.
- 48:31Speaker 1: I bet you look like who would have parted. My
- 48:33Speaker 1: daughter's braids are gonna stay up for the rest of
- 48:36Speaker 1: the years. As a matter of fact, we ain't gonna rebraided.
- 48:39Speaker 1: It's gonna stay that way so it can be mad
- 48:41Speaker 1: at and represent that's what we're gonna do. Francis listening.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to argue. I just wanted
- 48:46Speaker 1: to call and see if we could actually, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 1: come to a medium on this. Do you think that
- 48:50Speaker 1: there's a possibility that I mean, when I'm I'm picking
- 48:54Speaker 1: up DJ tomorrow after school, what would it be all
- 48:58Speaker 1: right if I picked up little Calin and brought her
- 49:01Speaker 1: home and let my wife do our hair. Please? I
- 49:04Speaker 1: wish that you would pick my start up and see
- 49:08Speaker 1: what the hell I do. I'm gonna call my husband
- 49:10Speaker 1: and him to come over your house and whoop ya
- 49:13Speaker 1: after he braids yo, as I wish you would pick
- 49:16Speaker 1: up my thought, I call the police on. As a
- 49:19Speaker 1: matter of fact, you're gonna have to call the police
- 49:21Speaker 1: on me and my husband Steward and see what happens. Man,
- 49:24Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get some class here. That's all
- 49:26Speaker 1: we're wanting. We're not wanting to fight with you. It's
- 49:29Speaker 1: just the blacks here. We think that we want a
- 49:31Speaker 1: little bit more classy look of the way we are. Groom,
- 49:34Speaker 1: that's the only thing we're looking for. The only person
- 49:36Speaker 1: who's gonna be taking the classes. And when we get
- 49:38Speaker 1: to whoop, you're gonna be kicking the class. How about back? Yeah,
- 49:43Speaker 1: I can't stand up like you. Y'all get five dollars
- 49:48Speaker 1: and one penny in your pocket that and think you
- 49:50Speaker 1: better than everybody as you get where you came from.
- 49:53Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, what's your guess? What's your name?
- 49:56Speaker 1: Because I'm calling the principle on your day. Give me
- 49:59Speaker 1: your name minute, mister hoole. What's your name? Uh, that's
- 50:04Speaker 1: that's that's that's that's not that's not really what my
- 50:06Speaker 1: name is. Well that's what told me when you first Cammy,
- 50:09Speaker 1: what is your real name? My name is my name?
- 50:12Speaker 1: My real name is Tommy Thomas. No, no, my last
- 50:16Speaker 1: name either. What What the hell is your name? Do
- 50:18Speaker 1: you know? My name is Tommy nephew Tommy from the
- 50:21Speaker 1: Steve Horby Morning Show. Your husband, Keith got me the
- 50:25Speaker 1: plank phone call you, I be Oh my god, keep
- 50:34Speaker 1: you you got me ready to kick yours, the girls
- 50:43Speaker 1: cool and everything. I tell you what, keep eat out
- 50:47Speaker 1: for the rest of the queek me he told me,
- 50:53Speaker 1: he said, Man, he said, it don't take but about
- 50:55Speaker 1: two and a half minutes for my wife to go off.
- 50:58Speaker 1: He said, it don't take for to what I had
- 51:05Speaker 1: you right, a calm down, Let me ask you what
- 51:10Speaker 1: what what? I got one more thing to ask you?
- 51:11Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio

- 51:33Speaker 1: dollars in thinking you better than something? Yeah, it's so true, though, Yes,
- 51:45Speaker 1: it's so true. She kept the one. Let me see
- 51:59Speaker 1: your ass? Okay, would it be okay? I picked up
- 52:06Speaker 1: love Kaylor Taylor and took her home and let my
- 52:10Speaker 1: wife straighten her boy, she said, I would you. Oh man, man,
- 52:26Speaker 1: you go with their kids is on impoper. You go
- 52:30Speaker 1: in and he come over there and whip your ass
- 52:34Speaker 1: and didn't break your Hey, Tom here gonna whip your
- 52:39Speaker 1: ass and put you between this lags and stop, oh man,
- 52:46Speaker 1: your poss steel stop stop wiggling. That was funny on
- 52:54Speaker 1: his paw and all that scout time. It's just sitting
- 53:01Speaker 1: between the man's leads, just crying. Now you didn't call
- 53:08Speaker 1: me for the meeting? Why you call me? Now? You

- 54:31Speaker 1: on tight, we got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:33Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter subject. I can't stand my family period. Okay,
- 54:40Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty three year old woman
- 54:43Speaker 1: living with my grandparents, and I have a major problem
- 54:46Speaker 1: with them. Recently, my grandfather has been pressuring me to
- 54:49Speaker 1: have a good relationship with my siblings, and I've told
- 54:52Speaker 1: him several times I'm not interested in getting to know
- 54:55Speaker 1: them better. I know this sounds harsh, but I can explain.
- 54:59Speaker 1: My birth mother is a hood rat kitchen beautician working
- 55:03Speaker 1: at the Dollar Store, and she dresses like she's my age.
- 55:06Speaker 1: She has three children, and she's never taken care of
- 55:09Speaker 1: any of us. Family members have raised her children My
- 55:13Speaker 1: father isn't as bad, but he has a wife that
- 55:15Speaker 1: I can't stand because she broke up my father's first
- 55:18Speaker 1: marriage by getting pregnant. She and my dad have two
- 55:21Speaker 1: children together, so I'm not a priority to him anymore.
- 55:25Speaker 1: He helped her finish college, but when I wanted to
- 55:27Speaker 1: attend college, he told me to take out loans, and
- 55:30Speaker 1: that hurt. It broke my heart at first to see
- 55:33Speaker 1: my father raising my half brothers and giving them the
- 55:36Speaker 1: childhood I missed. I have been with my grandparents all
- 55:40Speaker 1: of my life, so they're all I need now. My
- 55:43Speaker 1: aunt has joined with my grandparents to make me visit
- 55:45Speaker 1: my mother and get to know her. She said that
- 55:48Speaker 1: since I'm the oldest, it's my job to reach out
- 55:50Speaker 1: to my brothers and sisters. She has tried to get
- 55:53Speaker 1: me to go to counseling because she and my grandparents
- 55:55Speaker 1: are worried about me. I feel as though I'm not
- 55:58Speaker 1: obligated to have a relationship and ship with my siblings.
- 56:01Speaker 1: I can't stand my family period. I want to protect
- 56:06Speaker 1: my peace and I'm just fine. How can I get
- 56:09Speaker 1: my family to let me be? Well, it doesn't sound
- 56:12Speaker 1: like they're going to let you be. You never know,
- 56:15Speaker 1: I mean your grandparents. I'm sure getting on an age.
- 56:18Speaker 1: They they might want you to do it for sentimental reasons.
- 56:23Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm not mad at you. I'm
- 56:25Speaker 1: really not mad at you at all. You have every
- 56:27Speaker 1: right to feel the way you feel. I mean, you've
- 56:29Speaker 1: had it tough, you know, like a lot of people,
- 56:31Speaker 1: a lot of us, A lot of people have stories
- 56:33Speaker 1: and testimonies and things like that. Your bitterness is understandable.
- 56:37Speaker 1: You've been through a lot, like I said, abandonment by
- 56:40Speaker 1: both parents, and the jealousy you feel towards your younger siblings.
- 56:44Speaker 1: You know, the animosity you feel towards your mother because
- 56:47Speaker 1: she wasn't there for you. But you had your grandparents,
- 56:50Speaker 1: so you know you had a decent life. You have
- 56:53Speaker 1: your grandparents. You're human, so you can make mistakes. It's okay.
- 56:58Speaker 1: I just you know, you have to ask yourself here
- 57:01Speaker 1: is is this way the way you want it to
- 57:04Speaker 1: be productive? Is it mentally healthy for you? Are you
- 57:08Speaker 1: happy where you are in life right now? I know
- 57:10Speaker 1: you say you want peace, but do you have that piece?
- 57:14Speaker 1: And what is wrong with meeting your family with sitting
- 57:18Speaker 1: down with your mother? I mean they may have changed
- 57:22Speaker 1: people change. People do change. Maybe your mom is a
- 57:25Speaker 1: different person now, and certainly you don't blame your brothers
- 57:29Speaker 1: for anything, so you can meet with them. I think
- 57:31Speaker 1: there are two ways to look at this, and one
- 57:34Speaker 1: way is that it could be really good. It could
- 57:36Speaker 1: be a positive experience. Try it. I mean, you never know,
- 57:41Speaker 1: it could be just the healing you need. Since you
- 57:43Speaker 1: don't want to go to counseling because there are some issues.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I'm sure you know with you you could hear it
- 57:48Speaker 1: in your letters, So I say, try it. That's what
- 57:52Speaker 1: I'm going with. Try it, you know, Steve. The whole
- 57:57Speaker 1: time I was listening to this let, I was thinking
- 58:00Speaker 1: of a sermon. This letter has sermon written all over it.
- 58:07Speaker 1: So when we come back, my second half will be
- 58:09Speaker 1: a sermon. But I would like to say Shirley that
- 58:12Speaker 1: I absolutely agree for the first time with every single
- 58:18Speaker 1: thing you have said. She has issues, you need some
- 58:24Speaker 1: type of counseling. You don't want to do counseling or
- 58:27Speaker 1: understand it. Then what you have to do is you
- 58:29Speaker 1: have to go and try to make peace. See one
- 58:31Speaker 1: of the reasons you don't have peace is because you
- 58:35Speaker 1: ain't ever tried to make none. See, you can't give
- 58:39Speaker 1: what you never had. So if you're not trying to
- 58:42Speaker 1: make peace, you probably not gonna have it. Now. You
- 58:46Speaker 1: say you want to protect your peace, but it constantly
- 58:49Speaker 1: gets disrupted by your grandparents telling you to go have
- 58:53Speaker 1: a relationship with your father, go have a relationship with
- 58:55Speaker 1: your mother. Family is important, it really is. And when
- 59:01Speaker 1: these people start leaving this world and y'all get older,
- 59:04Speaker 1: you're gonna discover that you might have missed something really special. So,
- 59:08Speaker 1: Shirley is one correct. You need to try to make
- 59:12Speaker 1: peace with your family and just forgive. You got to
- 59:16Speaker 1: forgive your mamma for being a hood rat, a kitchen beautician.
- 59:22Speaker 1: You know, maybe that's all she had. You don't know
- 59:24Speaker 1: what happened to her. And then you're mad at you
- 59:28Speaker 1: daddy's wife because she broke up y'all's mamma near marriage
- 59:31Speaker 1: because she got pregnant. No, your daddy got her pregnant.
- 59:36Speaker 1: You know you ain't got to blame the woman. So
- 59:39Speaker 1: and then your man cause your daddy taking better care
- 59:41Speaker 1: of the other baby than he is of you. It said, Shirley,
- 59:43Speaker 1: got it right. It's a lot of issues in here.
- 59:45Speaker 1: You need counseling. You do need counseling. If you're not,
- 59:49Speaker 1: you now to at least go and make peace. Forgiveness
- 59:52Speaker 1: is not for you. Forgiveness is not for the other person.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Forgiveness is for you. It's when you don't forgive a person,
- 59:59Speaker 1: it's like you're drinking the poison, waiting on them to die. So,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: now that I've said that, when we come back, we're
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: gonna preach the letter. Okay, yeah, yeah, we have come on, deacon.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: All right, all right, you heard it. Part two of
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Steve's response is coming up in a sermon of twenty
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Subject of my letter today,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I can't stand my family. Period. We'll be back right
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve, come on,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. Uh, subject, I can't stand
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: my family. I'm already I'm not recapping. I'm preaching this letter.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: You just this letter. The subject Deacon read then, subject
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: is I don't like my family. That's stand them. I
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: can't stand ah can't stand my Framely, he tweether you
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: old woman living with grandparents can't come on? That doesn't
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: develop a major problem with both of them? More reasonly,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: her granddadd had been pressing her to have a good
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: relationship with her siblings. Yeah, and told him several times,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I ain't interested in getting to know them. No, damn better.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: You don't know how they're, Granddaddy, but I do. I
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: say it sounds hard, Yes, it dies. But she goes
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: on to explain, my mama is a hooter rat. My mama,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you're the hood rat, kitchen beautician, got all over the star. Oh,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I can't go in here to make a sandwich, crooked
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: grease everywhere. She's putting a lord on people's heads. She
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: worked down at the dollars store. Who the hell? Why
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: mama working at the damned dollars store? And she don't
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: give discounts when you go in there. She dressed like
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: she my age. She got three kids, ain't never took
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: care now one of us, all the family members, and
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: raised a kid. My daddy ain't that band. But he
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: got a whole wife that I can't stand. You can't work,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I said, I he got a wife that I can't stand.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: You want to know why? Why is that? Daddy? She
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: broke up my father's first marriage by getting pregnant. He
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: didn't need another baby. Now he didn't add a baby. Now,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: he didn't broke up with the hood rat. She ain't
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: there trying to fix her hand, the kitchen and everything.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I fix it, and my daddy got two kids together. Yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: so I ain't a priority anymore. Helped to finished college.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: And then when I asked him could I go, told
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: me to take out loans. ID id to the coat
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: when he said take out a damn loan. You helped
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that other health of golden school. But now you go
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: around like you don't know me. I was your first
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: baby until you had that hood rat got pregnant, she knew,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: couldn't wear. My mama worked down at the dollars, stop
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: doing the best, so they hand the baby, had the baby.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: It broke my heart to see my father raising my
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: half brothers and giving them the childhood. I miss him,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: So I guess you Michael Jackson, now, oh you want
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to be your baby again? He won't never land back.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: You missed your child who you can't get it back.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Michael Jackson couldn't get his back. What I would do
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: if I were you, I'd find five more girls that
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: felt the same way. It started in Jackson five all
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: over again. Your daddy Joe, what it looked like to me.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Being your grandparents all your life, so they seem to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: be all you need. Nah, here come your aunt, your
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: big fat ass on now here. She come with her
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: big ass all up in my business. And before the
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: congregation starts, just old fat shaming thing, get off my letter.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: They rolled in and asked me, I'm a scooming don't
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: say that the honest fat but she sounds fatting the
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: letter to me. But she's doing what big people do,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: eating stuff that ain't even on her plate. She he
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: eating all up in the niece of business. You here
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: come her ass, and he got all up into business.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Told me, since I'm the oldest, my job to reach
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: out to my brother's and system. Yeah, And she tried
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: to get me to go to counseling. Do I sound
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: like I need counseling, Yes, that's how I do. Hell, yes,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I sound like I need counseling. But I ain't going.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: You know, black people don't like counseling. I don't like
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: talking to nobody with a yellow notebook pad that winter
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: cart home. I got to school diploma. Why but I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: want to tell my problems to somebody. Jeff called, there's
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: a psychologist. Psychologists ain't had my life. I'm not gonna
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: go to no damn counselor. I'm gonna riding out and
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: be a toe up, distraught individual to the day I die.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna be a member of a dysfunctional last family.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I'm not gonna trying to fix a damn thing. I
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: don't give a damn by my big ass. My grandmama
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: never got on my nerve, and the half of my
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: brothers and sisters. I'm gonna try to go to Heaven
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: on sliding and on the pass. I hope ther is
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: grading on the curve. Maybe I can get in, but
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: I want to go to heaven if my family is already.

- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you know, Charlotte, we're in the middle of the NFL season.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: You know, the Cowboy's gonna have a good week. They
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: put up three points and lost to Washington. Didn't even
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: have a name, and nobody in Texas have a good week.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: We didn't have a good weeking either, pack. We didn't.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: We didn't have a good week either. Tom Brady is
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: still winning. Tom Brady one, probably probably probably the second
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: best quarterback in the league. Russell Wilson got his first
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: lost this week. He lost down. He still number one quarterback? Yeah, man,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: he still lived, man, But how do you feel right
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: about now? Though? Uh? Cleveland Browns lost Odell Beckham, junior
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: man for the remainder of the season with a torn
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: acl good good. Yeah'all love Oldell. I hate that happened
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: to him. Man, he's a fine young man. But it
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: just hid work in Cleveland, like y'all always have some
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: bit of bad news during the season. Oh yeah, dude,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, here YEA used to Yeah, I ain't know
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: what's happen. One five game were for the lose five
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: and you see it, you see it coming already. Let
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: me listen to this. See that's why I'm riding high
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: right now because I know the low coming. See the
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: way that's gonna work. The Texans and the Browns it's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: gonna end up with the same damn record sometimes. Yeah,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I don't really see. I don't know what's gonna happen
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: up in Cleveland, but I'll tell you what. It ain't
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: gonna be pretty because we're in the wrong division. We
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: got to play Baltimore again. You gotta play the Steelers again. No,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: it's all I mean, you know, faint called season gonna
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: faint too. I just I did. I hate that happen
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to him though? Man, but he said the great player.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: But Y'AEI and a nice guy, great teammate. Yeah, man,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: And tonight and other news though in sports, Uh, game
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: six of the World Series, Uh if LA win. Now
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: you got the NBA Championship and the World Series in
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the same exact city. So this is gonna be a
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: pretty good one. Anybody, time you want to predict, you
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: do go, You do well the prediction times whatever you think.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I'm betting on, I'm betting on the team I gonna go.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: It's gonna go seven games. How about that, it's gonna
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: go seven game? Ye three to one, three two three
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: two Los Angeles. Yeah, so Tommy's gonna go seven it? Oh,
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: we know, is that Tommy picks seven games. Everybody put
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: their money on the dodge. It's no anything, all right, Junior,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show sixteen minutes. Always
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: has an election year tradition, you know, of interviewing the
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: president and the vice president. So this year was no different.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Did you guys see when President Trump walked out of
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: his sixty minutes interview. People have been talking about it, yeah,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: for a couple of weeks. Now our question is why
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: does the president want to be president? I mean, he
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: can't even handle Leslie stalls sixty minute interview with tough questions,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: and she told him the questions we're going to be tough.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Take a listen, Leslie, you started with me. Your first
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: statement was, are you ready for tough questions? Are? That's
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: no way to talk. It's no way to talk. At
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: this point, one of our producers interrupted to advise about
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the time remaining in the interview. I think we have
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: enough of an interview here, Hope. Okay, that's enough. Let's go,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: let's go, let's go meet for two seconds. Okay, thanks
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I'll see you a little while. Thanks. Be careful. She'll
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: still care be careful, be careful for your old last fall.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: But see, honestly, what was wrong with her. She let
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: him know that the questions would be tough. He only
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: wants to be interviewed by Fox so they can lob
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: him questions, compliment him, tell him what he's a great job,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: and stay on questions that he has answers for and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: then massage those so they sound like he answered the questions.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: This is the most unpresidential person who has ever resided
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: in the White House, and it's enough, is enough? And
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: then he said to his girl, Hope, Hope, we've had enough.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Let's go. You know, Oh you know, look, man the
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: dog dog. If you don't want to be president, just
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: tell us that. But see, you can't be the president
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: just for your base. Yeah, you're supposed to be the
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: president of the United States. This is the worst person.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: I don't even understand. I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I don't even understand why a person votes for this guy,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: especially if you're not in politics. I know why the
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Senators is pushing forward. I understand the only way I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: can see a person voting for Donald Trump is because
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: you have to be just like him. You just think
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: that the way he is is absolutely fine, and that's
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: the way you feel and think about the immigration, about race, yeah,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: about poor people, about black people, brown people, all of that.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: You just think that way. And isn't it supposed It's
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: not supposed to be an easy job. That's why everybody
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: doesn't is not president. This is a tough job. You're
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: you're you're the leader of the free world. You're the
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: most powerful man in the world. Yeah, you know, she's
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: gonna just spoon feeds you with you know, baby questions.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I don't get it. You're the president. Could it be
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: that he don't want the job no more? And he
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: just said, let me ask as stupid as I can
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: so they don't vote for him. It Could it be
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: that I'm just trying to find something, you know, just yeah,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: could it be you just don't won't it no more?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: You just gonna act a damn food on the way.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I think he wants it with everything and him he don't.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: You know, this is not regular behavior. This is really
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: something wrong with Yeah. I think the first election was
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: a complete and total surprise to him. But now that
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: he sees the kind of power you know he has
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: and you know he can will I just don't understand.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I don't get it. He was so rude to Leslie Stall.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: He really was. Yeah, yes, yes, she is. Yeah. Has
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: he been tested mentally? And if they tested, I think
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: we all know something's wrong. Man. He's just unpresidential. Yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: he has no business holding the office of president of
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: United States. And for people that think he does you wrong,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: he can't be who you want your children to be
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: like unless you approve of all his behavior. The sad
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: part of it is it's forty fifty million people who
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: think he's just fine. Yeah, yeah, all right, listen. We'll
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: have more of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after. Right after
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: this you're listening show and trending bug news. State entomologists
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: have warned they won the opening battle against murder hornets
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: in Washington, successfully removing first nest discovered in the US,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: and officials say they found the nest located in the
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: cavity of a tree. My cousin has a master's in entomology.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: She knows about every bug on the planet, which is crazy.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: But that's what I mean. Yes, yes, she does. My
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: cousin Sharon from Chicago. The nest hells between one hundred
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: and two hundred hornets got them. The state's Department of
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Agriculture tweeted crews tracked down the nest after weeks of searching.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: After receiving permission from the owner of the land in
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: which the dead tree was located. A team of workers
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: dressed from head to toe in protective suits, vacuumed the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: insects out of their nest. The hornets are less threatening
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to humans than they sound, The CDC says, bees, wasps,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: and run of the mill hornets kill more Americans each
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: year than murder hornets kill people in Asia, where they're
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: usually found. I mean murder hornets. It's murder. Yeah, this
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: is crazy. I want us related to what's going on? Wow? Yeah?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Years All right, listen, just wanted to let you know
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour. It's murder.

- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Give a little sneak peek that's what's gonna go down
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: during the battle on November nineteen. I heard it was
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: supposed to be Busta Rhymes and Tiapa some him. Oh really,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: bust uncle Bus, uncle Bus. Bust happened that your Buster say,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: nobody won't none to him? Tay and you know you
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: was in Leaders of the New School, like the generational
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: gap is too far between Buster and t Yeah, I
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: can see that, I could see that. I don't know, man,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I'm talking about sotted. I put Earth when the fire
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: gets up, any damn every battle, every battle, Old life,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you play your hit. I got her win, But what
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: help now, boy? I put her when the fire gives Elvis,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: you know, put him down, will shut his whole catalog
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: down to the show what you throw? Do you remember
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: when about blue s shoes, blue swe shoes? Would you
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: mind if it touches? You need to be one dog
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: cooled to be on versus battle battling yourself. Yeah, Earth
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: pointed five versus battle hit it body anybody except Frank
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: oh okay, because he knows too much about you know,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Toto turning tables all that in two yeahs and two
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: jet wool coming up. It's our last break of the day,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: last break up the day, and we'll have some closing
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey coming up
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: to show, all right, guys, one week, one week exactly
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: seven days left until election day. On November third, Please
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: go to vote dot org to get early voting and
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: nation for your state. You can still vote early, that
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: is vote dot org. And you know what, Steve, we
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: also want to remind people to vote in these important
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Senate races. If you live in the following states. Democratic
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: senatorial candidate Jamie Harrison in South Carolina, please yes. Democratic
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: senatorial candidate Mike Espy in Mississippi, Mike spe in Mississippi.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Everybody get to the polls. If you're in Mississippi, Mike yes.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Democratic senatorial candidate Reverend Rothael Warnock in Georgia. Rothael Warnock.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Yes in Georgia, me too. Democratic senatorial candidate Marquita Bradshaw
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: in Tennessee. Marquita Bradshaw in Tennessee. Everybody in Nashville, Chattanooga, Memphis,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: fish yes, Well, y'all see Marquita. Non that y'all ought
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to note that. Man. Come on. Democratic senatorial candidate Mayor
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: Adrian Perkins in Louisiana. Okay, all right, all right, Steve,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: just we just wanted to remind people of that still time.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Those are the things because y'all, listen, we've talked about
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: this enough and uh it's it's it's it's I mean,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: we we are weak away. You've got to make your decision.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: You've got to make your move. We got to make
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: them counters. This is the best way that I know
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: to say black lives matter. Once they seated, this vote
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: matters all. You better believe from now on, black lives
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: will matter. We got a job to do. We have
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: an obligation. Let's go. Let's go to the polls and
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: show up. I think that we're on to something here,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: and I want you all to be able to say, hey,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: I was a part of it. I was a part
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: of removing something from the government that was damaging to us.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: This thing that he keeps saying, I've done more for
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: black people, says Abraham Lincoln. Like what like what like?
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: One of the Trump supporters says black people ought to
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: be lucky that they aren't slaves anymore. As one of
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the Trump supporters said at a rally, they ought to
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: be lucky. Then another Trump supporters said online that black
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: people are being treated better than ever before. I don't
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: see what the problem is better. That is the problem.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: The fact that you think you have the right to
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: decide when we get treated better, better, better, than Who
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: better than what? And who gets to decide what better
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: is for us? Who better to decide what's better for
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: us than us? I'm the best person to decide what's
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: best for me, not you. You know, Look, it's some
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: ignorant people in this country. I mean, we're just gonna
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: have to live with that. There are racist people in
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: this country. We are going to have to continue to
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: deal with that. There are tens of thousands of great
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: policemen and women in this country, but there are so
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: many bad ones that we have to deal with that
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: I used to didn't think the problem wasn't as bad
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: that it was a few bad apples. It seems to
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: me like that few has grown. It is amazing how
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: empowered some of these white supremacist groups have been since
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Trump got into office. So maybe we need to get
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: rid of Trump so that they can slink back down
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: in that hole they was in. Because the proud boys
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: walking around being proud, the white supremacist groups walking around,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: he's our guy. All these mega hats and mega masks
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: look okay, cool. If you want to make America great again,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: that's fine, but it's not going to be at our expense.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I keep trying to figure out what year was it
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: that America was great. I'm trying to really figure out, y'all,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: And I'm serious, what year should we go back to
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: when America was at its best? I can't think of one,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: because this is as good as this ever been, and
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: because of social media we get to see what it
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: really is and it ain't as great as they're making
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: it out to be. Well, I admit this. Yes, is
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: America a great land of opportunity and a great country. Yes,
