- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, So they're not admitting in the Biden administration that, yeah,
- 0:05Speaker 1: we got it wrong with inflation, like oops are bad nothing,
- 0:09Speaker 1: not a big deal, just you know, we kind of
- 0:11Speaker 1: screwed that one up a little bit, kind of got
- 0:15Speaker 1: it wrong, weren't exactly you know, on top of things
- 0:19Speaker 1: the way we probably should have been. This is now
- 0:23Speaker 1: what they're telling all of us. Now, we all knew
- 0:25Speaker 1: they were screwing it up, and we all knew they
- 0:27Speaker 1: were getting it wrong with inflation. We all knew they
- 0:30Speaker 1: were getting it wrong with hyperinflation. We all knew they
- 0:32Speaker 1: were getting it wrong with the economy. We all knew
- 0:35Speaker 1: that they were getting it wrong with the job numbers,
- 0:37Speaker 1: even when they were claiming that the economy was an
- 0:39Speaker 1: amazing shape when clearly it wasn't because some of you
- 0:41Speaker 1: would just stopped working in general, because the government will
- 0:44Speaker 1: pay you so much money to not work, it's absurd.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And that's now where we are. But they're just now
- 0:53Speaker 1: saying they got it wrong months after everybody knew they
- 0:56Speaker 1: got it wrong. Janet Yellen came out, you have to
- 1:00Speaker 1: say saying, oh, yeah, we kind of got it wrong.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Kind of really kind of that's all you got for
- 1:05Speaker 1: me is kind of like, yeah, man, I mean we
- 1:07Speaker 1: got it. You know, we got it wrong a little
- 1:09Speaker 1: bit really got it wrong, a little bit kind of
- 1:10Speaker 1: got it wrong, maybe got it wrong, sort of got
- 1:14Speaker 1: it wrong. That's what you now have for us. Keith
- 1:18Speaker 1: Fitzgerald was on Fox Business and this is what he
- 1:22Speaker 1: had to say about after Janet Yelling admitting she was
- 1:24Speaker 1: wrong about the inflation path. Now you have one job,
- 1:29Speaker 1: is what I would say about this, Like, you literally
- 1:32Speaker 1: have one job and you can't get it right. You've
- 1:37Speaker 1: got one job, that's it, only one and you can't
- 1:46Speaker 1: even get it right. How is that possible? Janet Yelling
- 1:50Speaker 1: got it wrong? But first I want to take a
- 1:53Speaker 1: quick moment to tell you about our good friends over
- 1:55Speaker 1: at Legacy Precious Metals. You know what's going on the economy,
- 1:58Speaker 1: you know what's happening on Wall Street, and you know
- 2:00Speaker 1: what's going on with inflation. So are you protecting your
- 2:04Speaker 1: hard earned dollars your assets? Do you have a hedge
- 2:08Speaker 1: against inflation? Are you terrified every day that you've lost
- 2:11Speaker 1: a massive amount of money when the stock market is
- 2:14Speaker 1: having these crazy drops? Well? Are you diversified? And if
- 2:18Speaker 1: you are diversified, you don't have to worry as much.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's where Legacy Precious Metals comes in. Legacy Precious Metals
- 2:24Speaker 1: can help you have a blueprint to protect your hard

- 3:32Speaker 1: get it every day for free. Now. The question I
- 3:35Speaker 1: ask is, did she really get it wrong? Or did
- 3:40Speaker 1: she know she was getting it wrong and they were
- 3:42Speaker 1: spinning it hoping they could come out of it before
- 3:45Speaker 1: things got bad. I think that's probably the more the
- 3:49Speaker 1: more plausible argument. I don't think Janet Yellen's stupid enough
- 3:54Speaker 1: to actually get it this wrong with all the signs
- 3:56Speaker 1: and indicators that were out there. What I do believe
- 4:00Speaker 1: is Jennet Yellen works for Joe Biden the Democrats, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: she wanted to make sure that she didn't get it
- 4:09Speaker 1: that wrong, right. She wanted to make sure that it
- 4:15Speaker 1: wasn't that bad for the Democrats politically before she had
- 4:20Speaker 1: to admitted and she thought, maybe, hey, look, I know
- 4:21Speaker 1: we're going into recession. I know things are bad, right, Like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I get it. I understand what's happening here, right, I
- 4:29Speaker 1: understand it, right, I comprehend it. Maybe they're not that
- 4:35Speaker 1: bad by the time I try to fix it, and
- 4:38Speaker 1: then they couldn't fix it because their policies were so
- 4:41Speaker 1: screwed up. There's a very good chance that is the
- 4:45Speaker 1: entire conversation that we're having now is actually they just
- 4:49Speaker 1: flat out lied to you, and they knew they were
- 4:52Speaker 1: lying to you when they were lying to you. I
- 4:56Speaker 1: think there's a very good chance that that is the
- 4:58Speaker 1: whole ball game here. Listen to Keith Fitzgerald talking about this,
- 5:04Speaker 1: saying they knew there was problems and they screwed it
- 5:06Speaker 1: up in the second half, because it's going to insulate
- 5:08Speaker 1: you from a lot of the other shocks that FED
- 5:11Speaker 1: can't control, because it's a supply problem, which Biden didn't
- 5:14Speaker 1: even relatively knowledge. I mean, we're talking about some serious inflation.
- 5:18Speaker 1: We had a graphic up earlier eggs through price of
- 5:21Speaker 1: eggs up twenty two percent year over a year. So
- 5:23Speaker 1: when you give me this eight point three percent CPI average,
- 5:26Speaker 1: I'm thinking what we wish it was eight percent on
- 5:30Speaker 1: some of these things, fresh fish, lettuce, you know, all
- 5:33Speaker 1: of the foods that we buy are up in the
- 5:35Speaker 1: double digits. What does that mean in terms of profits
- 5:39Speaker 1: and the potential for a recession? Keith, Well, I think
- 5:43Speaker 1: it raises them dramatically. To give you an example, we
- 5:45Speaker 1: live here in the Pacific Northwest, where we have abundant
- 5:47Speaker 1: seafood and all kinds of great things to eat from
- 5:49Speaker 1: the local farms. My wife looked at us salmon the
- 5:51Speaker 1: other day. It's one hundred and forty something dollars eight fish.
- 5:55Speaker 1: That's just not going to happen. People put less meat
- 5:57Speaker 1: on the grills, people are changing the way they drive,
- 5:59Speaker 1: people changing materials they buy. This does not bode well
- 6:02Speaker 1: for the American economy, and the President again does not
- 6:05Speaker 1: seem to understand basic economics here. You've got to get
- 6:08Speaker 1: the supply chain fixed. Not only do you have to
- 6:11Speaker 1: rage races and on both at once, and as oil
- 6:13Speaker 1: prices go up as we head into the peak season
- 6:16Speaker 1: of driving, you've got to believe inflation goes up as well,
- 6:19Speaker 1: because that's the underlying, exactly issue. We'll be watching Keith Fitzgerald,
- 6:24Speaker 1: James Jerio. Great to see both gentlemen, thing. I love
- 6:26Speaker 1: this right. They're like, oh, yeah, they got it wrong.
- 6:28Speaker 1: They got it wrong. From the very beginning. We all
- 6:30Speaker 1: know they got it wrong. They screwed it up, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: they knew they had it wrong. There have been warnings
- 6:35Speaker 1: about inflation over and over and over and over and
- 6:37Speaker 1: over and over and over and over and over and
- 6:39Speaker 1: over again. They knew it. Secretary Yellen trying to clean
- 6:45Speaker 1: up her mess on TV. So it's important to make
- 6:47Speaker 1: sure our supply chains don't become more problematic than they
- 6:50Speaker 1: are right now because we didn't have baby formula right now,
- 6:52Speaker 1: we're also being told that there's going to be a
- 6:54Speaker 1: corn shortage coming. We're being told that movie theaters are
- 7:00Speaker 1: having a hard time securing the corn to pop at
- 7:03Speaker 1: the movie theaters. Not a joke, Welcome to supply chain issues.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You think under Donald Trump's administration we'd have a popcorn
- 7:11Speaker 1: shortage or a baby formula shortage? The answer is no.
- 7:16Speaker 1: You think we'd have gas prices that have risen four
- 7:19Speaker 1: dollars in sixty two since per gallon on average since
- 7:21Speaker 1: he got into office. You think inflation would be up
- 7:25Speaker 1: eight point four percent, the highest in my lifetime if
- 7:29Speaker 1: Donald Trump was the president. You think that housing prices
- 7:33Speaker 1: would be up eighteen point seven percent and rising at
- 7:35Speaker 1: record levels. And let's remember how much money we all
- 7:39Speaker 1: had when Donald Trump was a president in our four
- 7:41Speaker 1: oh one ks. Now, many people lost twenty thirty percent
- 7:45Speaker 1: of their net worth in their four oh one kse
- 7:47Speaker 1: Why because Joe Biden's president. If you don't think Joe
- 7:51Speaker 1: Biden's costing you a lot of money, you're stupid. If
- 7:55Speaker 1: you don't think that Joe Biden's sucking the life out
- 7:58Speaker 1: of your bank account, you're four one k tirement plans,
- 8:01Speaker 1: your investments. Just look at the numbers I just gave you,
- 8:06Speaker 1: which goes back to Secretary yelling. She's like, yeah, we
- 8:08Speaker 1: got it wrong. We also got it wrong on supply chain,
- 8:10Speaker 1: but don't worry, we're working on that too, not based
- 8:12Speaker 1: on domestic production, just in terms of what's been happening
- 8:16Speaker 1: with the supply chain. A lot of these issues, again
- 8:18Speaker 1: are out of our control or things that will take
- 8:20Speaker 1: a very long time to fix. But there is the
- 8:23Speaker 1: idea that the longshoreman in California and the ports there
- 8:27Speaker 1: could go on strike at the end of this month.
- 8:28Speaker 1: That seems like it would be something that would be
- 8:30Speaker 1: a huge additional snarle to what we've already seen with
- 8:33Speaker 1: the supply chain issues. Is the administration monitoring this. Have
- 8:36Speaker 1: they been involved at all in any of the talks
- 8:38Speaker 1: to try and make sure that that does not happen. Well,
- 8:41Speaker 1: it's something that we're monitoring and recognizes critical and we
- 8:46Speaker 1: certainly hope an agreement will be reached that will keep
- 8:50Speaker 1: the ports open and operating. I agree that this is
- 8:54Speaker 1: really critically important to making sure ours supply chains don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: don't become more problematic than they are. Just right now,
- 9:07Speaker 1: there is most our fingers on that if the ports
- 9:10Speaker 1: in California were to get snarled up at this point
- 9:12Speaker 1: because of a show, I love it, like, let's hope.
- 9:15Speaker 1: We're hoping now, we're hoping that things get better. We're not.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm sure they'll get better, try to Resecretary Yellen also
- 9:22Speaker 1: said on CNBC this morning that we are quote still
- 9:25Speaker 1: considering a quote reconciliation package. How much is that going
- 9:29Speaker 1: to cost? You? Listen, when we spoke, I brought up
- 9:32Speaker 1: the idea of investment ideas that President Biden had laid
- 9:35Speaker 1: out that are not going to be taking place in
- 9:37Speaker 1: the near term or even medium term in terms of
- 9:39Speaker 1: price relief. I asked Yellen whether floating those longer term
- 9:43Speaker 1: spending plants amounts to an admission that the White House
- 9:45Speaker 1: won't be able to correct surging prices very quickly or
- 9:48Speaker 1: very easily. Here's actually responded, We're still considering a reconciliation package.
- 9:56Speaker 1: It could very well have reduction and the cost of
- 10:01Speaker 1: prescription drugs. That would make a difference to every family
- 10:06Speaker 1: that has drug costs is part of its household budget,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and that could make a difference very quickly. The President
- 10:16Speaker 1: is authorized historic releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to
- 10:23Speaker 1: try to hold down prices and offset some of the
- 10:26Speaker 1: upward pressure that we've seen from where she's war on Ukraine.
- 10:32Speaker 1: So there are things that can be done, and the
- 10:35Speaker 1: President is supportive of deficit reduction. We're actually seeing a
- 10:41Speaker 1: huge reduction in the deficit. The deficit is a share
- 10:45Speaker 1: of GDP is projected to fall below the level in
- 10:50Speaker 1: twenty nineteen before the pandemic, and his budget proposes revenue
- 10:57Speaker 1: raisers that I think would lead to a fairer tech system,
- 11:03Speaker 1: not burden households any household making under four hundred thousand dollars,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and enable us to achieve deficit reduction that would also
- 11:14Speaker 1: help to bring inflation down. Translation, we're in a bad spot.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We know it. Now. We're going to admit it to you,
- 11:22Speaker 1: but we're going to tell you we're working on it,
- 11:24Speaker 1: even though we screwed it up. We're the ones that
- 11:26Speaker 1: screwed up. It's like they inherited this. They created this.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Let's be very clear. They created this mess, and now
- 11:32Speaker 1: they're trying to clean up their mess. They claim before
- 11:36Speaker 1: the mid terms. Now they're going to tell you they
- 11:39Speaker 1: inherited it. They didn't inherit it. Okay, don't get lied
- 11:43Speaker 1: to on that, right, They didn't. They didn't inherit this.
- 11:47Speaker 1: They created it. She also said today when it comes
- 11:53Speaker 1: to energy independence, exactly what you would hope, she would say,
- 11:56Speaker 1: if you're Joe Biden, don't tell people you could actually
- 11:58Speaker 1: fix a problem by astro ourselves. I don't know layment
- 12:01Speaker 1: on the global economy, listen to this. When it comes
- 12:04Speaker 1: to energy prices, those are obviously a huge issue for
- 12:07Speaker 1: Americans right now, the price at the pump and the
- 12:09Speaker 1: spr releases, and maybe do something temporarily, but the relief
- 12:14Speaker 1: that they've provided in oil prices seems to have been
- 12:17Speaker 1: pretty fleeting. Is there any consideration being done in terms
- 12:20Speaker 1: of trying to reverse things from Keystone pipeline or promote
- 12:24Speaker 1: more drilling in certain areas, or even just trying to
- 12:27Speaker 1: offer incentives to get companies to spend more money, more
- 12:30Speaker 1: capital expenditure oil companies on trying to take more out
- 12:34Speaker 1: of the ground quickly. You know, the oil companies are
- 12:38Speaker 1: sitting on lots of leases that they've not drilled, and
- 12:43Speaker 1: the prices that prevail right now in oil markets provide
- 12:48Speaker 1: ample incentive for firms to boost production. The strategic petroleum
- 12:55Speaker 1: releases are very substantial, and I see is fill in
- 13:01Speaker 1: in the market while waiting for oil producers to ramp
- 13:06Speaker 1: up production. The Keystone pipeline we take years to come
- 13:11Speaker 1: online and really is about moving oil rather than producing
- 13:15Speaker 1: more oil. And remember oil prices are set in in
- 13:21Speaker 1: global markets, not based on domestic production. Just I love this.
- 13:26Speaker 1: So when we were producing oil and the prices were down,
- 13:31Speaker 1: that was a bad thing because we're using Keystone pipeline
- 13:33Speaker 1: and had things online that we're clearly helping us lower
- 13:38Speaker 1: the price of oil. Now you're saying, well, we can't
- 13:40Speaker 1: really lower the price of oil, and the Keystone pipeline
- 13:44Speaker 1: you're claiming wouldn't help lower prices. And even if we
- 13:48Speaker 1: opt our domestic production, you're claiming now that it really
- 13:51Speaker 1: wouldn't have any effect on the market. Well, if it's
- 13:54Speaker 1: a supply to man issue, if we create more supply,
- 13:57Speaker 1: that lowers the demand. I don't think Jenny Yellen stupid.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I think she's playing us. I think that's the administration's decision,
- 14:07Speaker 1: a deliberate decision, most importantly, to screw you. They want
- 14:13Speaker 1: you to pay more. They want you to pay more
- 14:16Speaker 1: on purpose. They want you to get an electric car.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I was having a conversation last night with a buddy
- 14:22Speaker 1: of mine has got a Tesla, and he said, Dude,
- 14:23Speaker 1: it's insane. People are offering me sticker for the Tesla
- 14:27Speaker 1: that I've owned for four years, like what I paid
- 14:30Speaker 1: for it four years ago, because gas prices are so
- 14:34Speaker 1: high right now. And that's exactly all of this crisis
- 14:38Speaker 1: was created by design, on purpose, to punish you for
- 14:42Speaker 1: putting gas in your car. I've got a four door car. Okay,
- 14:45Speaker 1: I'm not talking about an suv. The car that I
- 14:48Speaker 1: drive is a four door car. I'm now hitting one
- 14:50Speaker 1: hundred dollars to fill it up when I paid. I
- 14:54Speaker 1: always every time I buy a new car, I do something.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It's just something I think it's fun to do. The
- 14:59Speaker 1: first time I fill up, I make it get all
- 15:01Speaker 1: the way down to like virtually empty, like zero miles left,
- 15:04Speaker 1: you know, to run out of gas, and I fill
- 15:06Speaker 1: it up to the brim because I like to see
- 15:09Speaker 1: what it costs me the first time to fill it
- 15:11Speaker 1: up compared to when I get rid of the car.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It's just something fun. My grandfather used to do, and
- 15:16Speaker 1: I started doing it because I thought it was fun
- 15:17Speaker 1: to do. I've been doing this ever since I was
- 15:18Speaker 1: sixteen years old and I got this car, and I
- 15:21Speaker 1: looked the other day. It's forty two dollars and eighty
- 15:25Speaker 1: three cents for me to fill up that car from
- 15:28Speaker 1: empty when I bought it. It's now one hundred dollars.
- 15:32Speaker 1: If you don't think that this is being done deliberately
- 15:34Speaker 1: on purpose, you're stupid. And I start I'm using that
- 15:39Speaker 1: more often, just saying you're stupid if you believe this,
- 15:41Speaker 1: because we are now at a point where this is
- 15:44Speaker 1: actually that black and white of an issue. If you
- 15:47Speaker 1: if you don't believe, I mean, if you don't believe
- 15:49Speaker 1: that Jinn Yellen knows exactly what she's doing here and
- 15:51Speaker 1: she's lying to you're stupid. If you think that she
- 15:55Speaker 1: got caught by surprise, as she described it, by inflation,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you're stupid. She knew exactly what was going to happen
- 16:03Speaker 1: with inflation, and this was all part of their plan.
- 16:07Speaker 1: They're really okay with it. None of this is by accident.
- 16:13Speaker 1: All of this are crisises that were created by this administration,
- 16:18Speaker 1: and they wanted all of this to happen. Democrats are
- 16:23Speaker 1: also now pushing for forgiving student loan debt. They're pushing
- 16:27Speaker 1: that again hard ahead of the midterm elections, hoping that
- 16:30Speaker 1: will save them in the midterms. Guy from Shark Tank,
- 16:34Speaker 1: Kevin O'Leary, on forgiving student debt, had this to say
- 16:37Speaker 1: this morning, as Democrats are now pushing for you your
- 16:40Speaker 1: tax hours paying off other people's student loan debt that
- 16:43Speaker 1: they have not paid off, I can't get there. We
- 16:46Speaker 1: just printed four and a half trillion dollars over the
- 16:49Speaker 1: last two and a half years. We have helped everybody.
- 16:51Speaker 1: This has nothing to do with gender or race. It
- 16:54Speaker 1: has to do with equity. It's simply not fair. This
- 16:57Speaker 1: idea is Unamerican by any measure. Everybody's uncomfortable with us.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I can't find anybody that likes this idea. And I know,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and I'm guessing right now within the White House as
- 17:09Speaker 1: they discussed this going into the midterm, somebody's going to say,
- 17:11Speaker 1: mister President, let's punt this. This is a horrible idea.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Let's deal with it. On the other side, imagine the
- 17:19Speaker 1: membership and the Democratic Party fighting these races their razor
- 17:23Speaker 1: close and giving their competitor this manna from heaven. This
- 17:28Speaker 1: is crazy it's just politically insane. It's a kamakuzy idea.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Now is a wrong time for this, and by the way,
- 17:35Speaker 1: there's never going to be a good time for this.
- 17:37Speaker 1: This is Unamerican. There's no free money. That doesn't work
- 17:41Speaker 1: this way. It's unfair to people that didn't go to college.
- 17:44Speaker 1: You're asking people it never went to college to pay
- 17:47Speaker 1: for this. It comes off their income tax. It's just wrong.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So why are they doing it? Because they're trying to
- 17:56Speaker 1: buy votes. That's why they're doing it. This is all
- 18:00Speaker 1: about buying votes. Every aspect of this is buying votes.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And he's right, Kevin is absolutely right that this is
- 18:12Speaker 1: un American. It's wrong. Why should people that didn't go
- 18:14Speaker 1: to college have to pay for other people who went
- 18:15Speaker 1: to college. And there's another aspect of this which I
- 18:18Speaker 1: brought up before and I'm bringing up again. What about
- 18:21Speaker 1: all the people that were responsible, like myself, that paid
- 18:23Speaker 1: off our student loan debts very early on and made
- 18:26Speaker 1: a priority instead of buying a house or instead of
- 18:29Speaker 1: buying that new car, instead of going shopping or going
- 18:32Speaker 1: to Europe or whatever it may be. Right, I got
- 18:36Speaker 1: on a actual budget when I was in college and
- 18:41Speaker 1: stayed with that budget after college. Why is it that
- 18:47Speaker 1: I should somehow have to change, you know, be punished
- 18:50Speaker 1: for me being responsible what other people are clearly not responsible.
- 18:55Speaker 1: That's a question. It's a very very very very very
- 18:58Speaker 1: very fair question to ask. I shouldn't have to pay
- 19:03Speaker 1: for somebody else and their decision to go to college.
- 19:06Speaker 1: College is a privilege, by the way, And it's a
- 19:09Speaker 1: financial decision that you make when you go to college, right,
- 19:13Speaker 1: It's a financial decision that you decide that you choose
- 19:18Speaker 1: when you decide to go to college. No one else
- 19:23Speaker 1: should have to pay for that, certainly not the taxpayers.
- 19:27Speaker 1: We should not have to pay for this, and it
- 19:30Speaker 1: shouldn't even be up for debate. But if you're actually
- 19:34Speaker 1: trying to buy votes, which is exactly what they are
- 19:38Speaker 1: trying to do, then do you really care? I would say,
- 19:44Speaker 1: you don't care, You don't care at all. Why would you.
- 19:50Speaker 1: We're also being told that gas prices will in fact
- 19:53Speaker 1: hit a new high, okay, a new high this week,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and they expect that the week after we will hit
- 20:03Speaker 1: another new high. The highest you've ever paid for a
- 20:06Speaker 1: gallon of gas in your lifetime is exactly what you're
- 20:12Speaker 1: going to get now. All because they lie to you,
- 20:16Speaker 1: and they tell you that gas is something they can't control.
- 20:21Speaker 1: It's something that they don't have any control over. That's
- 20:25Speaker 1: what they claim. You know, there's nothing we can do
- 20:29Speaker 1: here to help you. White House Press Secretary just last month,
- 20:34Speaker 1: on this exact date, had this to say about inflation. Again,
- 20:38Speaker 1: we know now lying to you. Listen, and you just
- 20:40Speaker 1: mentioned boot a few times as a reason for recent inflation.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Do you guys think that any part of inflation this
- 20:48Speaker 1: year is because of President Biden's spending plans or is
- 20:52Speaker 1: it all Bouton's fall. Well, what I can say is
- 20:55Speaker 1: we are, and Brian just spoke to this, we are
- 20:58Speaker 1: at a historic place when it comes to the economy,
- 21:02Speaker 1: when it comes to unemployment being at the lowest that
- 21:05Speaker 1: we have seen in some time, when it comes to
- 21:07Speaker 1: the president creating more jobs in his first term, his
- 21:11Speaker 1: first year than any other president, eight point more than
- 21:14Speaker 1: eight point five million jobs. Now we're going to a
- 21:17Speaker 1: place where it's we're going into transition, where we're going
- 21:20Speaker 1: to see an economy that's more stable, that's more steady.
- 21:24Speaker 1: So they're lying to you, they're lying to you on
- 21:28Speaker 1: all this, and everybody knows that they're lying to you.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Every bit of this is a lot that you just
- 21:34Speaker 1: heard all of it. That was a month ago. You'd
- 21:39Speaker 1: think somebody would call them out for this. Right, let
- 21:42Speaker 1: me go back one month ago. Janet Yellen lying to
- 21:45Speaker 1: you again on CNN listen, wasn't a mistaken I'm Secretary
- 21:48Speaker 1: to downplay this inflation risk? Did that contribute to the
- 21:52Speaker 1: problems we're all seeing right now? Well, look, I think
- 21:58Speaker 1: I was wrong then out the path that inflation would take.
- 22:04Speaker 1: As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and larde shocks
- 22:09Speaker 1: to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices
- 22:14Speaker 1: and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that
- 22:21Speaker 1: I didn't at the time, didn't fully understand, didn't fully
- 22:25Speaker 1: understand it. So you didn't understand it, or you just
- 22:29Speaker 1: decided to lie to us. Which one is it? New
- 22:33Speaker 1: York City is now considering what they referred to as
- 22:37Speaker 1: subway gun detectors. That's right, they're going to be scanning you.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Is this an invasion of your privacy? Well, well here's
- 22:46Speaker 1: the story. New York City says, now it's time to
- 22:49Speaker 1: deploy what they referred to as high tech scanners. A
- 22:52Speaker 1: spot someone carrying a gun into New York City subway
- 22:54Speaker 1: system before they have a chance to use it, and
- 22:57Speaker 1: that's an option under increasing consideration the Mayor Eric Adams.
- 23:01Speaker 1: A report has now come out saying the AP is
- 23:04Speaker 1: outlining the argument in favor of random weapons checks and
- 23:07Speaker 1: has returned in the aftermath of that mass shooting at
- 23:10Speaker 1: the New York City subway. Train security experts are now
- 23:14Speaker 1: counseling the mayor to install a system in the city
- 23:17Speaker 1: subway system that would have distinct challenges but not impossible
- 23:21Speaker 1: to overcome. The fact scanners need to be accompanied by
- 23:25Speaker 1: a human operator to confront people carrying firearms illegally is
- 23:28Speaker 1: the main problem, rather than the availability of the technology,
- 23:33Speaker 1: And for a city that has gone to defund the police,
- 23:36Speaker 1: they don't exactly have the manpower to even do this now.
- 23:39Speaker 1: If it proved, they will. They claim that this system
- 23:41Speaker 1: will help stem one aspect of the violence that is
- 23:45Speaker 1: increasingly coming to define the mass transit system in New
- 23:49Speaker 1: York City. You've had five stabbed in seven New York
- 23:52Speaker 1: subway system assaults in a forty eight hour period just
- 23:56Speaker 1: the other day. Don't worry, we won't be banning knives
- 23:59Speaker 1: anytime soon. Yeah, five people stabbed. At least seven people
- 24:04Speaker 1: were assaulted in New York City subway system over the
- 24:07Speaker 1: weekend through early Monday morning, including five stabbing victims. As
- 24:12Speaker 1: the Democratic Mayor Eric Adams subway safety plan goes into
- 24:15Speaker 1: effect today, a man who appeared to be homeless on
- 24:19Speaker 1: a thirty year old woman to stop talking to her
- 24:21Speaker 1: friend while aboard a southbound train traveling through the Bronx.
- 24:24Speaker 1: The New York Post has reported. The victim ignored the man,
- 24:27Speaker 1: and he used a metal pipe to crack her in
- 24:29Speaker 1: the head. Police said after getting off at the one
- 24:33Speaker 1: seven sixth Street station, the victim declined medical attention in
- 24:37Speaker 1: the purp state on the train because we don't actually
- 24:40Speaker 1: what arrest people that commit haind his crimes New York
- 24:43Speaker 1: because we also have prison reform and bail reform. He
- 24:47Speaker 1: was inscribed as a man in his thirty standing around
- 24:49Speaker 1: six feet tall, with facial piercings and dressed in all black.
- 24:53Speaker 1: In another incident, Monday, police say a young man was
- 24:56Speaker 1: assaulted and robbed in Manhattan. Four men appro it's a
- 25:00Speaker 1: twenty two year old man as he passed through a
- 25:02Speaker 1: turnstyle at Grand Central station, punched him in the face
- 25:05Speaker 1: and allegedly made off with a cell phone. Police said
- 25:07Speaker 1: no weapons were displayed then. On Sunday night, at least
- 25:11Speaker 1: the fifth stabbing since Saturday morning occurred at around six
- 25:14Speaker 1: ten pm on a six train approaching the Canal Street station.
- 25:19Speaker 1: According to the Post, an unprovoked suspects stabbed a thirty
- 25:22Speaker 1: one year old man twice in the arm. The thirty
- 25:25Speaker 1: one year old man was taken to the Bellevue Hospital
- 25:27Speaker 1: in stable condition, while the suspects stayed on the train.
- 25:31Speaker 1: The next slashing comes after four people were stabbed in
- 25:34Speaker 1: the course of eight hours on Saturday, with the first
- 25:37Speaker 1: occurring just after three o'clock. Since January the first, when
- 25:42Speaker 1: Adams was sworn in, through February the thirteenth, transit crimes
- 25:47Speaker 1: have increased sixty five point three percent compared to the
- 25:49Speaker 1: same period in twenty twenty one. Adams seventeen page subway
- 25:54Speaker 1: safety plan goes into effect this week in an effort
- 25:56Speaker 1: to quote curb rampant homelessness and high crime rate it's
- 26:00Speaker 1: in the subway system. A press release from Adam's office
- 26:03Speaker 1: say that the New York Police Department will be directed
- 26:05Speaker 1: to enforce certain subway rules, such as sleeping across multiple seats,
- 26:10Speaker 1: exhibiting aggressive behavior to pastors, are creating an unsanitary environment. Man,
- 26:15Speaker 1: this almost sounds like stopping frist, doesn't it. No more smoking,
- 26:19Speaker 1: no more doing drugs, no more sleeping, no more doing
- 26:22Speaker 1: barbecues on the subway system, no more just doing whatever
- 26:24Speaker 1: you want. Adams detailed his planned. Well, if you don't
- 26:27Speaker 1: have the manpower to stop it, then what's the point
- 26:30Speaker 1: of even having this conversation. You went defund the police,
- 26:33Speaker 1: you went for bond and bail reform, and now you
- 26:36Speaker 1: have high crime. Quote the mayor says, those days are
- 26:39Speaker 1: over per metric card, right, the system, get off at
- 26:42Speaker 1: your destination. That's what this administration is saying. I have
- 26:45Speaker 1: a feeling this dude's gonna lose. Just so you know, right,
- 26:49Speaker 1: that's what I have a feeling. I'm a feeling you're
- 26:51Speaker 1: going to loose. Want to be clear, very good chance,
- 26:55Speaker 1: but they're not going to fix this. But hey, come
- 26:58Speaker 1: out with a cool press release saying somehow you're going
- 27:00Speaker 1: to fix things, and maybe people were stupid enough to
- 27:02Speaker 1: believe you're actually going to fix things. You defund the police,
- 27:07Speaker 1: what did you think was going to happen? Right? I mean, really,
- 27:10Speaker 1: you defund the police. What did you think was going
- 27:14Speaker 1: to happen? You stop prosecuting people for heinous crimes, You
- 27:22Speaker 1: start allowing people to go out and assault people and
- 27:24Speaker 1: never even go to jail because instantly you would release
- 27:27Speaker 1: them back into society. What the hell did you think
- 27:30Speaker 1: was going to happen? And now they're out there saying, oh,
- 27:33Speaker 1: big brother, we're gonna put these cameras out there. As
- 27:37Speaker 1: one person said, logistically it would be a nightmare. You're
- 27:40Speaker 1: going to have to tie up a lot of officers
- 27:42Speaker 1: doing this sort to retire. New York Police Department captain
- 27:45Speaker 1: who serves in the department's transit division told the Associated Press,
- 27:48Speaker 1: we have hundreds of stations, and the fact of the
- 27:50Speaker 1: matter is putting someone at every entrance to every station
- 27:53Speaker 1: is logistically impossible. He acknowledged a challenge, but said the
- 27:57Speaker 1: system might still be worth trying at select locations as
- 28:00Speaker 1: a deterrent, saying, quote, we want to be able to
- 28:03Speaker 1: just pop up at a station someplace so people don't
- 28:06Speaker 1: know where. That is similar to what we do with
- 28:08Speaker 1: car checkpoints. The push for better subway security got renewed
- 28:12Speaker 1: urgency in April after Gum and set off smoke bombs
- 28:14Speaker 1: and spread a subway compartment with shots, winning ten people.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Then on May the twenty second, another gum and killed
- 28:20Speaker 1: a passenger and what authorities said appeared to be a
- 28:22Speaker 1: random attack, And a day after the killing, Adams again
- 28:25Speaker 1: express interests and weapons screening technology. Now they're saying we
- 28:30Speaker 1: must have this, and we must do it now. So
- 28:33Speaker 1: you create the environment of chaos, anarchy and insanity, and
- 28:37Speaker 1: then you want to completely undo all of that very
- 28:41Speaker 1: quickly by just coming out and saying, all right, we
- 28:43Speaker 1: know we got to fix it, so we're gonna do screening.
- 28:45Speaker 1: We're not going to prosecute people, right, That's not what
- 28:49Speaker 1: we're gonna do. We're not going to prosecute people. No, no, no,
- 28:53Speaker 1: that won't happen. We're not going to change the laws
- 28:56Speaker 1: back to what was working before. Heavens, no, no, no no, no,
- 29:00Speaker 1: We're gonna We're gonna get a screening service and somehow
- 29:03Speaker 1: that'll fix it all right. Lastly, please make sure you
