- 0:54Speaker 3: say that all the time. I figure, if you keep

- 0:58Speaker 3: becomes part of something that they may become their mantra.
- 1:02Speaker 3: My guess. Next guest is a clean design lifestyle expert

- 1:19Speaker 3: Please welcome the Money Making Conversations Masterclass, Robin Wilson. How
- 1:23Speaker 3: are you doing, Robin?
- 1:24Speaker 4: I am doing well. How are you well, Robin?
- 1:27Speaker 3: I got this fantastic looking book called Clean Design Wellness
- 1:30Speaker 3: for your Lifestyle and you autographed it.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That means I get to keep it.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Now this is a book. My wife is gonna take
- 1:40Speaker 3: this from me because it's always amazing pictures and she's
- 1:43Speaker 3: always on me, Robin about take off your shoes, shake
- 1:49Speaker 3: your coat before you bring it in the house. You know,
- 1:52Speaker 3: I'm so annoyed. I just ignore her and then we
- 1:55Speaker 3: go into another conversation that we won't do on the show.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But she's after reading your book. I gotta say, Honey,
- 2:01Speaker 3: I apologizetening to you. I have forget I got to
- 2:05Speaker 3: go public with this. I apologize because after reading your book,
- 2:08Speaker 3: she has been absolutely telling me to do the right thing.
- 2:12Speaker 3: And I may have had a much more of breathing
- 2:17Speaker 3: in a better breathing environment in my home if I
- 2:20Speaker 3: have listened to her talk about your company and your
- 2:24Speaker 3: brand Clean Design.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Well, first of all, thank you for having me on
- 2:28Speaker 4: the show, and I wanted to let you know that
- 2:31Speaker 4: one in five people suffer from asthma or allergy, got
- 2:34Speaker 4: sixty million Americans. And one of the first places we
- 2:39Speaker 4: think of is the weaving and sneezing outside, But we
- 2:41Speaker 4: forget about our homes, which absolutely should be a sanctuary
- 2:46Speaker 4: for easy breathing. And so your wife is right, you.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Had to go back. You're gonna record this because I
- 2:58Speaker 3: want to talk to the public here, the general public,
- 3:01Speaker 3: in the sense that you know, we assume a lot
- 3:03Speaker 3: of things we walk through life, you know. You know,
- 3:06Speaker 3: we go out there into pollen, you know, we complain
- 3:08Speaker 3: about it, and then we just come right back into
- 3:11Speaker 3: our house with that pollen, with that with those flakes
- 3:14Speaker 3: you may not see, and we might just sit on
- 3:17Speaker 3: the sofa. We might even dive into our bed and
- 3:19Speaker 3: watch TV. All that is what you're talking about. And
- 3:23Speaker 3: you're trying to tell us to stop and realize that
- 3:26Speaker 3: we are carriers.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Correct, Well, I think the first thing to say is
- 3:31Speaker 4: when you walk into your home, take your shoes off,
- 3:34Speaker 4: take your hat off, take your coata and try to
- 3:38Speaker 4: leave all of that outside air, outside pollen and any
- 3:43Speaker 4: other issues at your doorstep and then create a safe
- 3:48Speaker 4: home environment, not just for you, but for your children.
- 3:52Speaker 4: A lot of people are gets that your shoes in
- 3:57Speaker 4: some places, you could be walking across the park and
- 4:00Speaker 4: you never know what's happened on the grass or on
- 4:03Speaker 4: that parkway, and so you don't want E. Coli in
- 4:07Speaker 4: your home, for example, you don't want other toxins in
- 4:10Speaker 4: your home. But my book Clean Design Home was actually
- 4:13Speaker 4: my second book. We've created a lifestyle brand over twenty
- 4:17Speaker 4: four years. I am the first black woman American woman
- 4:22Speaker 4: to have a global lifestyle brand focused on the allergy
- 4:26Speaker 4: and aware consumer. We are sold at fifty one Macy
- 4:30Speaker 4: stores from Guam to Puerto Rico. We're at fifty six
- 4:34Speaker 4: Belk stores on Wayfair, Shopify, and every branch of the military.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Actually the TX basis have our brand. That should show
- 4:47Speaker 4: you that it is a problem that people are trying
- 4:51Speaker 4: to find a solution to and our Clean Design Home
- 4:55Speaker 4: brand hopes to be and remain the number one allergy
- 4:59Speaker 4: and aware brand. You might notice I'm not using the
- 5:02Speaker 4: term hypoallergenic, right. I say that because Jane Doe might
- 5:06Speaker 4: be allergic to something and the next person is not.
- 5:10Speaker 4: So I by saying allergy know there we actually are
- 5:13Speaker 4: trying to make sure people know what's in their product
- 5:16Speaker 4: so they can make a decision about what works for
- 5:19Speaker 4: their skin, or their or their environment at their home.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I remember you know, Robin. First of all, thank you
- 5:26Speaker 3: for coming on my show to talk about clean design,
- 5:28Speaker 3: talk about lifestyle, talk about the home when and we
- 5:32Speaker 3: want to get in detail in your book because I
- 5:34Speaker 3: travel a lot on the airplanes and a nine flower
- 5:37Speaker 3: of mask, you know, and I'm very comfortable flying with
- 5:40Speaker 3: a mask. But every once in a while I see
- 5:42Speaker 3: people get on the plane caring is little beat up pillows,
- 5:45Speaker 3: you know, these a little ugly pillows make that I
- 5:48Speaker 3: mean like, you know, this pillow then saw another life.
- 5:51Speaker 3: This pillar saw another life. And I go in my mind,
- 5:55Speaker 3: I go, that pillow, first of all, is coming on
- 5:57Speaker 3: a plane, and then it's and it's been hugged up
- 6:00Speaker 3: by this person. And then this plane is this pillow
- 6:02Speaker 3: is going off on the plane. And you have a
- 6:04Speaker 3: story about pillows in your book that you talk about.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I allowing you to tell everybody about those pillows that
- 6:11Speaker 3: we sometimes have fallen in love with we need to
- 6:14Speaker 3: be doing something else with them, call them putting them
- 6:16Speaker 3: in the trash.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Well, you are so funny. I actually asked someone recently.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I spoke to a big group and I said, when
- 6:25Speaker 4: was the last time each of you washed or replaced
- 6:28Speaker 4: your pillow? And there was just a wave of groans
- 6:31Speaker 4: and grimaces across the room, and I said to everyone,
- 6:36Speaker 4: I said, the average answer is six years. But they're
- 6:40Speaker 4: the outliers that have had their pillows since college and
- 6:43Speaker 4: they're now in their forties. So that's pretty gross when
- 6:47Speaker 4: you think about the dan dress, the paul and the
- 6:50Speaker 4: drool and any other number of passage hims that could
- 6:55Speaker 4: be in your pillow. But I make it funny when
- 6:58Speaker 4: I say to someone, break up with your pillow. Get
- 7:01Speaker 4: a pillow. And there's a simple test. If you can
- 7:07Speaker 4: fold your pillow over and it stays in place, it
- 7:11Speaker 4: probably weighs more now than when you bought it. Pillows
- 7:14Speaker 4: should pop back, you know, you fold it a little
- 7:17Speaker 4: bit and it just pops back into place. That's a
- 7:19Speaker 4: pretty healthy pillow. One of the things most people don't
- 7:22Speaker 4: know is I have a rule of threes, because you
- 7:25Speaker 4: can actually wash a down alternative pillow. That means that
- 7:30Speaker 4: if you think about your pillow as an ecosystem in
- 7:34Speaker 4: and of itself, you can wash the pillow cover every
- 7:42Speaker 4: three weeks, wash the pillow protector that means a zippered
- 7:46Speaker 4: pillow protector every three months, and then every three years.
- 7:49Speaker 4: If you haven't done all those things, you need to
- 7:51Speaker 4: replace your pillows. Think like the batteries, you know, I'll
- 7:54Speaker 4: receive this. And then on top of that, it's also
- 7:57Speaker 4: a beauty story. Have you ever wondered when you're traveling,
- 8:00Speaker 4: you go to a hotel and you come back with
- 8:02Speaker 4: me so refreshed, and everybody's like, oh my god, you
- 8:05Speaker 4: look so good. What happened you know? And you're like, oh,
- 8:08Speaker 4: it's so great. Three days later, you're stuffed up, you
- 8:13Speaker 4: have circles under your eyes again, and what you may
- 8:16Speaker 4: be doing is sleeping on a dirty pillow. And that
- 8:20Speaker 4: means when you think about a hotel, they're refreshing their
- 8:23Speaker 4: pillows all the time. You come home to that pillow,
- 8:27Speaker 4: you should be breaking up less right, and you should
- 8:30Speaker 4: absolutely go to Clean Design Home to check us out.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Well, that's why you're going to shown, because I'm gonna
- 8:37Speaker 3: share a couple of stories about I think some people
- 8:39Speaker 3: need to hear the truth. You know, I'm not the
- 8:40Speaker 3: person who I remember in about two thousand and one,
- 8:45Speaker 3: I was always coughing.
- 8:46Speaker 4: I was.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I mean, it was to a point I was coughing
- 8:50Speaker 3: so much that I'm submit was I didn't really I'm
- 8:55Speaker 3: not saying suicidal, but it was just constant cough. It
- 8:59Speaker 3: was just a constant cough and it was just frustrating
- 9:01Speaker 3: me because I didn't know how to get rid of
- 9:04Speaker 3: it. It wasn't a cold cough. It was a constant cough.
- 9:07Speaker 3: And that was and eventually learned that was tied to
- 9:09Speaker 3: my pillow in my Los Angeles apartment because what happened
- 9:14Speaker 3: was I traveled so much a robin, and because I traveled,
- 9:17Speaker 3: I never could figure out where it was, you know,
- 9:20Speaker 3: And it turned out I was allergic to that pillow
- 9:22Speaker 3: that I don't know what the pillow was. Once I
- 9:24Speaker 3: got rid of that pillow, my cough went away. And
- 9:27Speaker 3: that's what we're talking about clean design, making sure the
- 9:29Speaker 3: environment you stay in. And then another story was when
- 9:33Speaker 3: I found out I was eventually found out I was
- 9:35Speaker 3: allergic to feathers, to feathers and I was in Austin.
- 9:43Speaker 3: My daughter was tourings you playing tennis with my wife
- 9:46Speaker 3: and I just broke out and I was just laying
- 9:50Speaker 3: on a sofa and that's when I discovered I was
- 9:53Speaker 3: allergic to feathers. And again, you have to I have
- 9:58Speaker 3: to realize these patterns and these patterns can really lead
- 10:02Speaker 3: to a lifestyle that could be you know, it can
- 10:06Speaker 3: kill you, and not only not only kill you can
- 10:08Speaker 3: frustrate you. And so when you wrote your book Clean Design,
- 10:12Speaker 3: what was the basic purpose of it, Robin.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I think that the premise goes back to I grew
- 10:19Speaker 4: up with allergies in asthma. I jokingly say I was
- 10:22Speaker 4: the labrat for my lifestyle. And a lot of people
- 10:26Speaker 4: today recognize that allergens can create or allergic reactions can
- 10:31Speaker 4: create a chronic inflammation in your body. That means when
- 10:34Speaker 4: you really get sick, you're immune systance week. So I
- 10:38Speaker 4: recommend always using a down alternative pillow because it can
- 10:43Speaker 4: be washed. Number one. I also recommend that you try
- 10:47Speaker 4: to protect your mattress with a mattress protector and also
- 10:52Speaker 4: protector pillow with a pillow protector. So let me take
- 10:55Speaker 4: it to another place. I grew up in Austin de exits.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I'm surprised you mentioned in Sauces and I call it
- 11:02Speaker 4: the weaving and stays in capital of the world right
- 11:04Speaker 4: because it's blooming all year round, beautiful greenery, and so
- 11:09Speaker 4: you weave and sees outside and if you don't have
- 11:11Speaker 4: certain protocols inside, then you're also weaving in smazing inside.
- 11:16Speaker 4: I also believe that a lot of people don't realize
- 11:19Speaker 4: and when they read the book, they'll learn that the
- 11:22Speaker 4: same pollen profile that you might be allergic to grass
- 11:27Speaker 4: or trees, you can come inside and eat a fruit
- 11:31Speaker 4: from that same profile or vegetable from that same profile,
- 11:34Speaker 4: and it will cause you to just double up your
- 11:37Speaker 4: load of allegence. And so let's say you're allergic to
- 11:44Speaker 4: grass or to trees, and then you come in and
- 11:48Speaker 4: eat a cucuver, it might be the exact same pollen profile.
- 11:51Speaker 4: And so I'm trying to educate people about simple steps
- 11:54Speaker 4: they can use to protect themselves, especially during allergy and
- 11:59Speaker 4: asthma sea and then May, as you know, it's Allergy
- 12:02Speaker 4: and Asthma Awareness Month, So you're way ahead of the
- 12:05Speaker 4: curve in talking about this subject.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Well have to because of the fact that it personally
- 12:10Speaker 3: impacts me, impacts my family, my daughter and my wife.
- 12:14Speaker 3: And if you don't realize what's going on, it can
- 12:17Speaker 3: run a relationship, can ruin your experience socially, can make
- 12:22Speaker 3: your sleeping habits can be impacted by It can make
- 12:26Speaker 3: you a grumpy person. It can make you a person
- 12:29Speaker 3: that people don't want to be around because you don't
- 12:31Speaker 3: understand what's bothering you. And that's what the Clean Design
- 12:36Speaker 3: is all about. And let me just before we go.
- 12:37Speaker 3: We're going to go to break to in a minute,
- 12:39Speaker 3: and I want to just set up what we're going
- 12:40Speaker 3: to talk about it. On the backside of this break
- 12:43Speaker 3: Clean Design is a room by Room Guy by Robin Wilson,
- 12:46Speaker 3: who I'm speaking to. She is an expert in creating
- 12:48Speaker 3: a wellness lifestyle and a lifelong allergy and asthma She's
- 12:52Speaker 3: life zone allergy and asthma sufferer just like me. I'm
- 12:56Speaker 3: an allergy sufferer, and this book will enable you to
- 13:00Speaker 3: lemonade and manage allergy triggers which I had to find
- 13:04Speaker 3: and had to discover, and create a comfortable and non
- 13:07Speaker 3: toxic home environment before we go to break When people
- 13:13Speaker 3: come to you, I'm pretty sure people get pretty emotional because,
- 13:18Speaker 3: like I said, when I was coughing in Los Angeles,
- 13:22Speaker 3: you know, I won't say the word suicide, but I
- 13:25Speaker 3: really didn't feel like living because it was just really
- 13:29Speaker 3: really bad and I was just constantly coughing and coughing.
- 13:33Speaker 3: It was always in the morning because I was doing
- 13:35Speaker 3: the morning show with Steve Harry Morning Show from six
- 13:37Speaker 3: am to ten am, and that whole run was it
- 13:40Speaker 3: was about six months. I was just constantly coughing. And
- 13:42Speaker 3: so when people come to you and say thank you,
- 13:46Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure you get it can't get pretty emotional, correct.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Robin, certainly, and especially when it's a parent or a
- 13:53Speaker 4: child who maybe they've been rushing their child to the
- 13:56Speaker 4: emergency rooms in the middle of the night, and I
- 13:58Speaker 4: simply will say change the pillar, test the pillow, change
- 14:03Speaker 4: the sheets and dust under the bed, and a few
- 14:08Speaker 4: other places like get the ceilings hand clean clean from
- 14:12Speaker 4: the top down. You give them simple tips. The next
- 14:15Speaker 4: thing you know, you get that nice letter and they're
- 14:18Speaker 4: told if they're telling me that their child isn't doing
- 14:20Speaker 4: ADHD medication anymore because they're getting a full night's sleep.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Those are things that make you feel really good.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Well, you're making me feel good. Talk to me about
- 14:29Speaker 3: a question you've heard on the show today. Please do.
- 14:31Speaker 3: We'll be right back more money Making Conversations Masterclass, Clean Design,
- 14:36Speaker 3: Wellderness for your Lifestyle.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with more
- 14:43Speaker 5: money Making Conversations Masterclass. Welcome back to the Money Making
- 14:53Speaker 5: Conversations Masterclass posted by Rashaan MacDonald. Money Making Conversations Masterclass

- 15:10Speaker 3: I'm speaking to Robert Wilson and you listen to Money
- 15:12Speaker 3: Making Conversation Masterclass. Her book Clean Design, Wellderness for your Lifestyle.
- 15:19Speaker 3: When you This book is a beautiful book. By the way,
- 15:21Speaker 3: it was a lot of uh can one say it's
- 15:25Speaker 3: a coffee table book because it has that feeling with
- 15:27Speaker 3: all these beautiful photos and imagery. But it has so
- 15:29Speaker 3: much information that you you can't leave it on the
- 15:32Speaker 3: coffee table because you need to be reading this in
- 15:33Speaker 3: your bed, or reading that whed you're drinking coffee, reading
- 15:37Speaker 3: it at your office breaks because there's so much vital
- 15:39Speaker 3: information that can change a person's lifestyle.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I those are all my designs from my
- 15:46Speaker 4: design work over the last you know period of time. UH,
- 15:50Speaker 4: with my client's permission, we published photos of their spaces.
- 15:54Speaker 4: But this book is a primer. It's not meant to
- 15:56Speaker 4: be read cover to cover. There's this for each room.
- 15:59Speaker 4: There's a there's the nursery, there's the bath room. You
- 16:03Speaker 4: can read it, learn what you need to learn, put
- 16:07Speaker 4: it away, come back to it as you need to.
- 16:09Speaker 4: And so if you read it cover to cover it
- 16:11Speaker 4: will feel repetitive. But a lot of people gain so
- 16:15Speaker 4: much information. You learn simple things that I pay actually
- 16:20Speaker 4: homage to my grandmother who was a housekeeper in the
- 16:24Speaker 4: era of the help, and she had a book, and
- 16:29Speaker 4: back then you didn't have the commercial cleaners that you
- 16:32Speaker 4: find in the grocery store. She used linen, juice and
- 16:36Speaker 4: toothpaste and baking soda and coca cola. And so people
- 16:42Speaker 4: are like coca cola and say, yeah, did you know
- 16:44Speaker 4: you can put coca cola in your toilet overnight and
- 16:47Speaker 4: if you have a ring, it will be gone in
- 16:49Speaker 4: the morning with a little elbow grease. If you have
- 16:52Speaker 4: a child who puts crayon on the wall, you can
- 16:55Speaker 4: use toothpaste to get that crayon off instead of putting
- 16:58Speaker 4: a toxic cleanser at there her nose level. And you
- 17:01Speaker 4: can also clean the tile in your bathroom and make
- 17:04Speaker 4: it white with toothpaste. Simple tips to prevent your home
- 17:10Speaker 4: from being overloaded with chemical Wow.
- 17:13Speaker 3: You know, I was just smiling when I was listening
- 17:15Speaker 3: to this information, because you know, when I get home,
- 17:19Speaker 3: my wife won't be she won't be just wagging the finger,
- 17:21Speaker 3: but she will have a lot to say because she's
- 17:24Speaker 3: She's like a kindred spirit with you. With this information
- 17:27Speaker 3: you have in this book. Now we talked about the
- 17:29Speaker 3: entryways and the mudrooms. Now I'm gonna tell you what
- 17:32Speaker 3: I do. I come home, you know, put my keys down,
- 17:36Speaker 3: I unloaded the doorway. I guess you can call that
- 17:39Speaker 3: the entryway of the mudroom area, you know. And then
- 17:42Speaker 3: I then I come and I just flop in the
- 17:44Speaker 3: middle of living room and I turn on the roomote
- 17:46Speaker 3: and I'm watching TV. Okay, what mistakes? If you know
- 17:50Speaker 3: what I've just said, I've done.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Did you take your shoes off? No? Did you maybe
- 17:59Speaker 4: wash your hands? And then uh change your clothes so
- 18:02Speaker 4: you have I call it your city street clothes. And
- 18:05Speaker 4: then you have your lunge wear that you have at home. No,
- 18:10Speaker 4: so you put whatever Let's say you rode the train
- 18:13Speaker 4: that day, or you were in the park, you just
- 18:16Speaker 4: put all that pollen or whatever on your couch.
- 18:19Speaker 3: So this is what she does. She goes, wash your hands.
- 18:23Speaker 3: I ain't got time for all that. I ain't got
- 18:25Speaker 3: time for all all. I wanted to drink a glass
- 18:27Speaker 3: of water. Wash your hands. I did so. So I'm
- 18:31Speaker 3: saying that I'm hearing the truth because of the fact
- 18:34Speaker 3: that these are things that I resist. And I eventually
- 18:37Speaker 3: do it with a little naggy and I wash my
- 18:39Speaker 3: hands and while I grab her fruit, and and then
- 18:42Speaker 3: she said, wash your hands for you before you eat that.
- 18:44Speaker 3: And of course I put the fruit on the water.
- 18:46Speaker 3: But then you know, is my hands washed?
- 18:49Speaker 4: And yes, exactly. If you if you were to imagine,
- 18:55Speaker 4: and this sounds really gross, but if you were to
- 18:57Speaker 4: imagine that every surface you touch, you got some glitter
- 19:01Speaker 4: on your fingers. Every surface. So that means you touched
- 19:05Speaker 4: the railing on the train, you touched your door handle,
- 19:09Speaker 4: you touched your uh, maybe you have to put gas
- 19:13Speaker 4: in your cars. You touch that pump that a million
- 19:15Speaker 4: people have touched, and so on. And then you come
- 19:18Speaker 4: inside and you touch a plate of food, how much
- 19:21Speaker 4: glitter would be on your fingers?
- 19:24Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Now if you say those were germs right some your
- 19:31Speaker 4: body right now, maybe can fight it off, maybe it can't.
- 19:35Speaker 4: But now you are putting that inside of you. Just
- 19:42Speaker 4: have that moment. So now you wash your hands. Takes
- 19:45Speaker 4: you the happy birthday. Saw wash your hands right, and
- 19:50Speaker 4: now you're now at least you've mitigated some of the germs.
- 19:55Speaker 4: That's all.
- 19:55Speaker 3: But it's all about effort. It's all about assistency and
- 20:01Speaker 3: when you when you was going because in your book,
- 20:03Speaker 3: you go from room to room, You go from the entrwey,
- 20:05Speaker 3: you go to the living room. You talk about the kitchen,
- 20:07Speaker 3: you talk about the bedroom where you spend one thirty
- 20:09Speaker 3: of your life, baby nursery, bathroom, home offices, larger room, basement, garages,
- 20:14Speaker 3: and addicts. I'll do a living So you break it down.
- 20:17Speaker 3: You let there are no excuses to people going, Okay, Robie,
- 20:22Speaker 3: what about the attic? Okay, I got I got something
- 20:24Speaker 3: for you. Hey Robin, what about my bedroom? I got
- 20:27Speaker 3: something for you? Hey Robin, what about the kitchen? I
- 20:29Speaker 3: got something for you? Because you want to make sure
- 20:33Speaker 3: that when people when you talk to your house about
- 20:36Speaker 3: clean design, you want to make sure this is how
- 20:38Speaker 3: you can design and live a good life, and that's
- 20:40Speaker 3: important to you. Correct, right it is.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I send this to someone recently. If you tomorrow were
- 20:48Speaker 4: diagnosed with diabetes, you're going to probably do whatever the
- 20:55Speaker 4: doctor tells you to do if you recognize that as
- 21:00Speaker 4: is a chronic condition, just like diabetes. In fact, before COVID,
- 21:04Speaker 4: I think it was the fourth leading cause of death.
- 21:07Speaker 4: You would do what your doctor says, and what he
- 21:10Speaker 4: often will say or she will say, is you need
- 21:14Speaker 4: a clean environment. You need to make sure you watch
- 21:18Speaker 4: what you eat. You need to have a clean pillow
- 21:21Speaker 4: and bedding. You need to dust your home, you need
- 21:24Speaker 4: to take your sees off at the front door, and
- 21:28Speaker 4: you need to make sure first and foremost that if
- 21:33Speaker 4: you bring pollen into the house, either you wash your
- 21:37Speaker 4: hair or you know, what do you call it? You
- 21:41Speaker 4: brush it out, or you wear a sleep cap or
- 21:44Speaker 4: something something to make sure you're not turning over in
- 21:48Speaker 4: the middle of the night and having that reaction. But
- 21:51Speaker 4: what is that reaction? That's what most people are like,
- 21:54Speaker 4: why is it three in the morning. I don't feel well?
- 21:57Speaker 4: And then reminder that during the day we have something
- 22:00Speaker 4: called cortisol. It's a stress hormone that all others to
- 22:04Speaker 4: get through the day and all the stressful things we encounter,
- 22:07Speaker 4: and at some point it leaves your body. It goes
- 22:10Speaker 4: to a lower level so you can sleep and go
- 22:13Speaker 4: into rim sleep. Well, that's about the time when that
- 22:16Speaker 4: stressful mung's gone, which is when your body can react
- 22:21Speaker 4: for lack of a better word, so reactions can be.
- 22:25Speaker 4: When people think about this, they're exema, hay fever, and
- 22:31Speaker 4: asthma are all in the same family. So you might
- 22:36Speaker 4: wake up with a rash on your arm, on your
- 22:39Speaker 4: base that could be an exema reaction. You might wake
- 22:43Speaker 4: up with the cough or the wheezing that might be
- 22:46Speaker 4: your hay fever reaction. And you might have a full
- 22:50Speaker 4: on asthma attack. All in the same family, different degrees
- 22:54Speaker 4: and different manifestations. Now, if you just do simple steps
- 23:01Speaker 4: to manage the triggers, then the likelihood that it will
- 23:06Speaker 4: go to full on asthma attack is less. Just the
- 23:11Speaker 4: same way in diabetes, right if you you know eat well,
- 23:18Speaker 4: don't you know, binge on a chocolate bar at the
- 23:23Speaker 4: wrong time, the likelihood you're going to go into full
- 23:27Speaker 4: diabetic coma is very low right, and that's what people
- 23:32Speaker 4: don't understand. And really, asthma is like you're choking. You
- 23:36Speaker 4: can't you can breathe in all you want, but you
- 23:39Speaker 4: can't breathe out. It's like you're suffocating from the inside out.
- 23:42Speaker 4: It's very scary if you've had an asthma attack.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Robin.
- 23:45Speaker 3: As we close out the show, we've been talking about
- 23:46Speaker 3: your book, Clean Clean Design Wellness for your lifestyle, but
- 23:50Speaker 3: also want to remind people if you can your retail brand,
- 23:53Speaker 3: your platforms, where your designs are available in retail stores
- 23:57Speaker 3: across the country, the floors yours well.
- 24:01Speaker 4: You know, Clean Design Home is a lifestyle brand where sold.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Like I said at Macy felt Wayfair fed back beyond
- 24:09Speaker 4: every branch to the military. As a black woman founder,
- 24:13Speaker 4: we have over the life time of my twenty five
- 24:16Speaker 4: year business, we generated over eighty two million dollars wholesale
- 24:20Speaker 4: branded revenue. When we in the last four years rebranded
- 24:28Speaker 4: from my economous name to actually Clean Design Home, we
- 24:31Speaker 4: saw a huge increase in interest because it's almost like
- 24:35Speaker 4: we explain what we're for. We're the number one hour
- 24:38Speaker 4: dinnerware brand. We hope that people will visit at Clean
- 24:42Speaker 4: Design Home on Instagram and Facebook and friend us and
- 24:47Speaker 4: also shop us. We want to really push the one
- 24:53Speaker 4: stop shop for a healthy lifestyle to everyone and especially
- 24:59Speaker 4: the one in five people who suffer from AMA analogies.
