The early church didn’t have the luxury of voting or running for office—they were more concerned with living out Jesus’ values, who they saw as their King, rather than securing political power. The early church lived a life with values counter-to-culture. Followers of Jesus were not empowered by culture yet they overpowered culture through living out their faith.
