- 0:25Speaker 1: Verdict with Ted Cruz on YouTube channel as well. Senator,
- 0:28Speaker 1: We've got quite a show to chat about today, including
- 0:32Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom. He's a little cranky with us after our
- 0:35Speaker 1: last episode. Apparently he didn't have a dictionary with him
- 0:38Speaker 1: and he couldn't use AI apparently to figure out what
- 0:41Speaker 1: we were talking about, and that's what made him so mad.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Well, look, we need to have an intervention. Gavin Newsom
- 0:48Speaker 2: is having a hysterical bout of crying anxiety because the
- 0:55Speaker 2: last episode of Verdict criticized his imbecility and anti American
- 1:00Speaker 2: leftism as he traveled to Europe to attack this country
- 1:04Speaker 2: and to say things that are blatantly false. It does
- 1:07Speaker 2: help that that that that even Twitter, which sometimes can
- 1:10Speaker 2: be a fairly lefty forum, lit the poor guy on fire.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I mean, it was so bad I almost felt sorry
- 1:20Speaker 2: for his very pretty anti American leftist self. Uh, you know, look,
- 1:28Speaker 2: I'm a I'm a lover, not a fighter. You know, Ben,
- 1:32Speaker 2: you're sometimes really harsh. I'm all about the love.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Twitter account for proof. Right, I there, there you go.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We're also going to talk about comrade Mundami. But Comrade
- 1:44Speaker 2: Mondami has been in office a little over a month,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and shock of all shock, what is he doing? To
- 1:51Speaker 2: start off with, He's proposing a massive tax increase on
- 1:55Speaker 2: the citizens of New York that will result in rents
- 1:59Speaker 2: going up. And and there is an irony in this
- 2:01Speaker 2: and that he campaigned on saying he was gonna freeze rents,
- 2:03Speaker 2: but then he discovered, Okay, it turns out you need
- 2:06Speaker 2: money to run a city, particularly if you want to
- 2:08Speaker 2: run a socialist city where you want to spend massive
- 2:10Speaker 2: amounts of money. And so we're gonna break down what
- 2:13Speaker 2: he's doing. We're also going to talk about the left
- 2:16Speaker 2: in Minneapolis is spending real money trying to promote jury nullification.
- 2:21Speaker 2: They don't want violent radical activists to assault law enforcement
- 2:26Speaker 2: officers to be convicted. They're undermining our justice system. We're
- 2:29Speaker 2: gonna explain. And finally, at the end, we're gonna say
- 2:32Speaker 2: goodbye to an American movie classic, Robert Duval, an extraordinary actor.
- 2:37Speaker 2: We're gonna have a few words about him. He passed
- 2:39Speaker 2: this week. He was ninety five years old. He led
- 2:42Speaker 2: an incredible life. But nonetheless, we're gonna say our farewells
- 2:45Speaker 2: to a one of a kind actor.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he really was. All right, if you have a dog,
- 2:52Speaker 1: I've got a thirteen year old dog and a new puppy,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and there's one thing I'm doing for both them. It
- 2:57Speaker 1: is giving them rough greens on their food, which is
- 3:01Speaker 1: really helping them live a quality and the best life
- 3:04Speaker 1: that you can give your dog. Now, I've been telling
- 3:07Speaker 1: you about my older dog and some of the symptoms
- 3:10Speaker 1: that he was having, slowing down and itching and having
- 3:13Speaker 1: bad breath, losing interest in playtime. That is just part
- 3:18Speaker 1: of the aging process, but it doesn't have to be.
- 3:20Speaker 1: And after just a few weeks of rough greens, we
- 3:23Speaker 1: start to see a real difference. The stuff is truly amazing,

- 4:46Speaker 1: And you, you reluctantly said, at the very end of
- 4:49Speaker 1: the show we were going to talk about Robert Duvall's passing.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I just am gonna do that right now, because you're
- 4:54Speaker 1: such a movie buff guy, and you're and and this
- 4:57Speaker 1: is I just I this is me, sir, you center
- 5:01Speaker 1: knowing that this is top of mind for you. He
- 5:04Speaker 1: and it's because of the movies that he was in.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And let's just start with a godfather real quick.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Look, Robert Devali lived to ninety five years old. He
- 5:13Speaker 2: was an incredible actor. He's one of the greatest actors
- 5:15Speaker 2: of his generation. He was in his first major movie
- 5:19Speaker 2: movie role was in Too Kill a Mockingbird, where he
- 5:23Speaker 2: played Bu Radley and and and he had no lines,
- 5:27Speaker 2: but he just simply through his face he turned sort
- 5:30Speaker 2: of a weird, freakish scary guy into someone deeply empathetic
- 5:36Speaker 2: and and and and it was. It was an introduction
- 5:40Speaker 2: to a career where he had classic roles. He had
- 5:44Speaker 2: classic roles in in Lonesome Dove, where he was the
- 5:48Speaker 2: most badass Texas ranger to have ever lived.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:52Speaker 2: He had a classic role in Apocalypse. Now, look the
- 5:59Speaker 2: frame I love the smell of napalm in the morning
- 6:04Speaker 2: is an American classic. And for him to be squatting down,
- 6:09Speaker 2: bare chested just explaining that. And the look of the
- 6:12Speaker 2: young gi is looking at the guy going dude, what
- 6:16Speaker 2: ye like? That conveys a lot. But of all of
- 6:19Speaker 2: the roles, the one that that that is my favorite.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And and and it's a sentimental it is from the Godfather.
- 6:29Speaker 2: He was Tom Hagen. He was the lawyer to the
- 6:32Speaker 2: Corleoni family, but he was an adopted brother. And and
- 6:36Speaker 2: of course in the second movie he gets let go
- 6:40Speaker 2: by Michael Corleoni because Michael says, you're not a wartime counculiary,
- 6:44Speaker 2: You're a peacetime counculiary. And and and and the portrayal
- 6:48Speaker 2: he plays of sort of the calm lawyer for the mob,
- 6:54Speaker 2: lawyer for men's murderers. The lawyer comes in and says,
- 6:58Speaker 2: you don't want to screw with the Corleone family. I
- 7:02Speaker 2: gotta say, you know, it's interesting. In twenty eleven, Robert
- 7:05Speaker 2: Duval was named an honorary Texas Ranger and it was
- 7:10Speaker 2: his Lonesome Dove portrayal, but it is still he was
- 7:13Speaker 2: not actually a Texan. He was from California and Virginia
- 7:16Speaker 2: and Maryland. But but Texas loved him. Yeah, and he
- 7:21Speaker 2: loved Texas. It was a mutual arrangement. I gotta say,
- 7:28Speaker 2: I'm sad. Look at ninety five. You know, every one
- 7:31Speaker 2: of us is on a journey where we're going to
- 7:34Speaker 2: shuffle off this mortal coil. But his acting body of
- 7:40Speaker 2: work is incredible, incredible. He was very close with Gene Hackman,
- 7:45Speaker 2: another one of my favorite actors, and Dustin Hoffman, another
- 7:49Speaker 2: incredible actor. They used to be roommates, they worked together.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I gotta say, Gene Hackman, I could watch Gene Hackman
- 7:56Speaker 2: reading the newspaper and riveted. I mean, and he was
- 8:01Speaker 2: another actor in his nineties or just passed away. We're
- 8:05Speaker 2: losing modern day legends. But but you know, Robert Duval
- 8:11Speaker 2: a life well lived. And actually I'm gonna call an audible.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I want to play. I want to play, and particularly
- 8:20Speaker 2: for those of you watching this on YouTube, I want
- 8:23Speaker 2: to play a clip from one of Robert Duval's great moments.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Give a watch now, just for context, for everybody that's
- 8:33Speaker 1: listening in the audio world only. This is a scene
- 8:37Speaker 1: from back in two thousand and three second hand lions
- 8:40Speaker 1: where two old guys walk into a bar with a
- 8:43Speaker 1: bunch of young punks. Here it is, Hey, oh.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Man, how's that barbecue? Give me something? We're busy and
- 8:51Speaker 3: we'll get lost, all right? What did you say? Here's
- 8:57Speaker 3: a perfect example of what I've been talking about.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Since his boy was suckling on his mama's.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Side, he's been given everything but discipline.
- 9:04Speaker 4: And now his idea of couraging man who get together
- 9:07Speaker 4: with a bunch of punk friends and ride around irritating
- 9:09Speaker 4: folks to good nature to put a stole to it.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Hey, who do you think you are? Huh?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Just dumb kids?
- 9:17Speaker 3: Don't kill him hugging a can.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I fought in two wars and countless smaller ones on
- 9:24Speaker 2: three continents.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I led thousands of men into battle with everything, with
- 9:27Speaker 4: horses and swords to artillery and tanks.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I've seen the head waters.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Of the Nile and tribes of the natives no white
- 9:33Speaker 4: man I'd.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Ever seen before.
- 9:35Speaker 4: I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, kill them any man,
- 9:38Speaker 4: and loved only one woman with a passion of flee
- 9:41Speaker 4: like you could never begin to understand.
- 9:44Speaker 3: That's who I am. So these o'facets. She's talking gut
- 9:48Speaker 3: you not Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Now, boys, you're fixed and let those teenage hormones gets
- 9:55Speaker 2: you into the world of trouble.
- 9:58Speaker 3: And my guard that I asked you to in up.
- 10:00Speaker 3: You just come out of hospital. Well there's there's only
- 10:04Speaker 3: four of them. Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Well look you foed this one first and no, no,
- 10:09Speaker 2: like you fight the other three after.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, what is getting now? You you better pick
- 10:16Speaker 3: that knife up, your son. You're gonna need all the
- 10:20Speaker 3: help you can get. Alderstricken the book. Okay, hold it wrong,
- 10:36Speaker 3: so not like this. You always get like this smooth right,
- 10:40Speaker 3: try to come on, franky stop three better get in
- 10:53Speaker 3: there and help.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's so good. I just by the way, if you're
- 10:57Speaker 1: listening audio only, I wish two things. We haven't watched
- 11:01Speaker 1: that clip. You need to watch that clip.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I mean, you've got Robert Duvall as an old dude.
- 11:06Speaker 2: You've got Michael Kane and as his buddy, and then
- 11:10Speaker 2: you've got Haley Joel Osmond as the young kid watching
- 11:14Speaker 2: this old dude beat the living crap out of these
- 11:18Speaker 2: four punks. And and and it's you know, I love
- 11:22Speaker 2: Michael Kane comes back with a shotgun and it's like,
- 11:24Speaker 2: all right, let me stop you because I got four
- 11:25Speaker 2: guys with a knife. Drop your knives. They dropped their
- 11:29Speaker 2: knives and and Robert Deaval is like, come on, let
- 11:31Speaker 2: me let me fight him. And he's like, okay, fight
- 11:34Speaker 2: the first one. You pick your knife up. The other
- 11:36Speaker 2: three stay back, and then once you beat him up,
- 11:37Speaker 2: you can beat the other three.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Like it.
- 11:39Speaker 2: It's classic old like badass and and and that that
- 11:47Speaker 2: that is Robert Duvall.
- 11:49Speaker 1: By the way, did you ever see Gone in sixty Seconds?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Devall was in the Amazing He was I think it
- 11:54Speaker 1: was Auto was his name in the movie. If you've
- 11:56Speaker 1: never watched that one, Like, it's not it's just I
- 11:59Speaker 1: grew up and he was younger and like fast cars
- 12:01Speaker 1: and stealing cars and Nicholas Cage and Deval. He was
- 12:04Speaker 1: unbelievable in that one as well. So grab it. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: so there you go. All right, I'm glad we did it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm going to call the autobo hill, right, I knew you.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Hold on a second, now, hold on, if you're gonna
- 12:16Speaker 2: do this that there's another clip we get to watch,
- 12:19Speaker 2: which which is from from Lonesome Dove Augustus McCrae walking
- 12:24Speaker 2: in this old weather Texas ranger walking into a bar,
- 12:28Speaker 2: and let's say there's a punk ass bartender back to you.
- 12:32Speaker 2: There's a lot of similarity between these two scenes. But but,
- 12:35Speaker 2: but it's part of why I love Duval. He got
- 12:37Speaker 2: better as an old guy. So so listen to listen
- 12:40Speaker 2: and watch this great clip from Lonesome Dove.
- 12:43Speaker 1: What I like about the man he's a philosopher.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I heard him giving you somebody to talk to.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I'll pring the rest of us might well get a
- 12:52Speaker 1: little work now.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I like a shot of whiskey, and so would my companion.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It ain't too much trouble. Haddey boy, you got a
- 13:04Speaker 3: good game going there?
- 13:06Speaker 1: You got muddy years or what ry?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Or will it be? Old timer?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Right?
- 13:11Speaker 3: Will do provided to get you here?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Qui durn cowboys hot to broom yourselves off where you
- 13:17Speaker 4: walk in here?
- 13:18Speaker 3: You know all I'm saying, we need you without the
- 13:20Speaker 3: customers bringing it in. That'll be a dollar.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Besides the whiskey I think will require a little respect.
- 13:29Speaker 4: I'm Captain Augustus mccrane. This is Captain woodro f call.
- 13:35Speaker 4: If you care to turn around, you can see how
- 13:38Speaker 4: we look when we was younger. And the people around
- 13:40Speaker 4: here wanted to make a senators. Now. The thing we
- 13:43Speaker 4: didn't put up with then was dabbling service And as
- 13:46Speaker 4: you can see, we still don't put up with it.
- 13:50Speaker 1: By the way, in that scene, that's Tommy Lee Jones
- 13:52Speaker 1: who says nothing at all, which is pretty funny, but
- 13:55Speaker 1: you can tell in his facial expressions he's having the
- 13:58Speaker 1: time of his life making this movie with Oh, no, no, and.
- 14:01Speaker 2: And and they wanted Duval to play the role that
- 14:04Speaker 2: Timmy Lee Jones played, and and have all said no.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Augustus McCrae was the only role he played. Wouldn't do
- 14:10Speaker 2: the movie if he didn't get get or the It
- 14:12Speaker 2: was actually a television series, a four part series. But uh,
- 14:16Speaker 2: you know it it Uh. He was just an all
- 14:20Speaker 2: time classic years well if by the by the way,
- 14:24Speaker 2: Duval insisted, do you know he's not having a funeral.
- 14:27Speaker 1: He's not.
- 14:28Speaker 2: He said, don't have a ceremony for me. Just just
- 14:30Speaker 2: go and watch a good movie, tell a good story,
- 14:34Speaker 2: sit around with friends and loved ones. I mean, I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 2: that really is Duvall. I wish I never got a
- 14:40Speaker 2: chance to meet you ever.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Did you ever meet him?
- 14:42Speaker 2: He was a conservative. I heard fabulous things. I knew
- 14:46Speaker 2: people who knew him. I wanted to meet him, but
- 14:49Speaker 2: we just never crossed paths. But but, but my heart
- 14:53Speaker 2: is beating for an American legend who left us.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Let's get to the politics now, and and we'll start
- 15:01Speaker 1: with uh, yeah, you couldn't get any further from Duval
- 15:03Speaker 1: with Gavin Newsom. Gavin Newso trash center.
- 15:06Speaker 2: No hold on a second, Gavin Newsom, he is the
- 15:10Speaker 2: young punk in the bar.
- 15:11Speaker 1: That's true.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And by the way, you and I get to be
- 15:15Speaker 2: I think in this story Robert Duval and Tommy Lee Jones. Yes,
- 15:19Speaker 2: although there is one thing that's stretching that, which is
- 15:21Speaker 2: Tommy Lee Jones is silent in that scene. And Ben,
- 15:23Speaker 2: you've never been silent in any scene.
- 15:25Speaker 1: No, that's also very true. That's very That's why they
- 15:29Speaker 1: pay me the big bucks. Right, That's that's why they
- 15:31Speaker 1: pay me the big bucks.
- 15:32Speaker 2: You know, like the old time lawyers.
- 15:34Speaker 1: They pay you by the word. Yeah right, all right,
- 15:36Speaker 1: So so let's send the stage for this story. You
- 15:39Speaker 1: and I do a show. We talk about it. We're
- 15:41Speaker 1: going to play part of that in a second. But
- 15:43Speaker 1: I want to know when did you and who how
- 15:45Speaker 1: fast did you find out after he tweeted at us
- 15:48Speaker 1: getting all cranky, he got he got his under underwear
- 15:51Speaker 1: in a wad. Is the is the way I described it.
- 15:53Speaker 1: My phone, Actually, I started getting random texts from people
- 15:55Speaker 1: and I'm like, what are you talking about? It was
- 15:57Speaker 1: in a meeting. I'm like what They're like, Dude, Newsom's
- 16:00Speaker 1: throwing shade and he's really upset with you guys, And
- 16:02Speaker 1: I was like, well, that's what I would expect from
- 16:04Speaker 1: a California Liberal to be honest with you. When did
- 16:06Speaker 1: you find out?
- 16:08Speaker 2: So our last podcast, we lit up AOC and Gretchen
- 16:13Speaker 2: Whitmer and Gavin Newsom, all of whom went to Munich
- 16:17Speaker 2: to the Munich Security Conference, and they all made fools
- 16:19Speaker 2: of themselves. They're all trying to run for president, they're
- 16:21Speaker 2: all trying to be impressive, and they all just like
- 16:24Speaker 2: totally beclowned themselves, and AOC and Whitmer showed they know
- 16:28Speaker 2: nothing about foreign policy or national security. Gavin Newsom did
- 16:31Speaker 2: something different. He just decided to demonize law enforcement and
- 16:35Speaker 2: he made a statement in particular, he said no president
- 16:37Speaker 2: has ever before federalized the National Guard and that that's
- 16:42Speaker 2: just laughably false. So I want to play the clip
- 16:44Speaker 2: from what we said in the very last podcast, and
- 16:47Speaker 2: this is the clip that's so triggered young Gavin.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Listen's be very clear at center that is Gavin Newsom
- 16:55Speaker 1: comparing American law enforcement to Nazis.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yep yep, which which, by the way, is what Obama
- 17:02Speaker 2: was doing too. By the way, just like AOC and Whitmer,
- 17:06Speaker 2: Newsom is apparently thoroughly historically illiterated. He said, We've never
- 17:09Speaker 2: seen national guards federalized in the States. I guess his
- 17:14Speaker 2: history book does not discuss the civil rights movement. He's
- 17:16Speaker 2: never heard of a president named Dwight D. Eisenhower. He's
- 17:19Speaker 2: never heard of sending the National Guard into Southern States.
- 17:22Speaker 2: When Democrats who refused to desegregate schools resisted, Eisenhower sent
- 17:29Speaker 2: the National Guard in The pattern is the same. In
- 17:32Speaker 2: this instance you have Democrats who are saying we refuse
- 17:34Speaker 2: to comply with federal immigration law. Then you had in
- 17:38Speaker 2: the fifties and sixties you had democrats saying we refuse
- 17:41Speaker 2: to comply with civil rights law. In both instances, it
- 17:45Speaker 2: is lawless democrats attacking law enforcement. Gavin Newsom is proudly
- 17:52Speaker 2: following the tradition of bull Connor, another Democrat politician.
- 17:57Speaker 1: That's all that you really said? And then his response
- 18:01Speaker 1: was a total freak out.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so Gavin on Twitter, he sent out a tweet
- 18:06Speaker 2: and like all good Democrats when when caught being full
- 18:10Speaker 2: of crap, he responds by attacking and screaming you cannot
- 18:15Speaker 2: criticize me. And in particular what he said is Ted
- 18:18Speaker 2: Cruz calling a dyslexic person illiterate is a new low,
- 18:24Speaker 2: even for him. Now let's start out first of all,
- 18:27Speaker 2: who the hell knew Gavin Newsom was dyslexic? I didn't
- 18:30Speaker 2: know that, did you?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Did you know that? And you know it's funny I'm dyslexic,
- 18:34Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean you're stupid.
- 18:35Speaker 2: By the way, By the way, I didn't know you
- 18:37Speaker 2: were dyslexic either.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Yeah, because I don't use as a crutch. But like,
- 18:41Speaker 1: since Gavin's bringing up like it's some like you're like
- 18:43Speaker 1: you went off the rails on him, Like how dare
- 18:46Speaker 1: you do? Like I'm dyslexic doesn't mean you're dumb. It
- 18:48Speaker 1: don't make you mean stupid statements because you're dyslexic, Like
- 18:51Speaker 1: you can still be intelligent and be dyslexic. Buddy yea.
- 18:54Speaker 2: So Gavin's descent the defense is is you're not allowed
- 18:58Speaker 2: to criticize me because I have a disability. That is,
- 19:02Speaker 2: if there's anything to embody the idiocy of today's Democrat party,
- 19:05Speaker 2: that does it pretty well. So it's interesting. I sent
- 19:08Speaker 2: two responses. The first response I sent was, I didn't
- 19:13Speaker 2: say you couldn't read you clown with the emoji of
- 19:17Speaker 2: the clown. I said you were quote historically illiterate because
- 19:25Speaker 2: you apparently have no idea that Eisenhower federalized the National
- 19:28Speaker 2: Guard to stop Democrat governors from defying federal law. Specifically,
- 19:34Speaker 2: on September twenty third, nineteen fifty seven, President Eisenhower issued
- 19:37Speaker 2: Executive Order one zero seven three zero federalizing the Arkansas
- 19:42Speaker 2: National Guard and ordering US Army troops one hundred and
- 19:44Speaker 2: first Airborne Division to Little Rock, Arkansas, YEP. This action
- 19:49Speaker 2: broke the blockade by Democrat Governor Orville Fabas allowing the
- 19:53Speaker 2: Little Rock nine to desegregate Central High School. Now Gavin
- 19:58Speaker 2: had no response to that. Now I got it, tell you,
- 20:00Speaker 2: let me bring a little bit inside the scenes. So
- 20:03Speaker 2: my team had a different response that they suggested, and
- 20:06Speaker 2: I have a whole social media communications teams, they had
- 20:09Speaker 2: a different response. Their different response was to send out
- 20:16Speaker 2: a tweet with a GIF and a gif.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Of ani video just so everybody doesn't know what that is.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Like.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Some people may not realize with that, it's like the
- 20:25Speaker 1: many little video kind of thing you send out.
- 20:28Speaker 2: So it's Ben Stiller, a Zoolander, and he's looking down
- 20:31Speaker 2: at a sign that says the Gavin Newsom Center for
- 20:34Speaker 2: what kids who don't know what historically illiterate means and
- 20:38Speaker 2: who want to learn to do other stuff good too.
- 20:42Speaker 2: So that my team put that together. I did not
- 20:44Speaker 2: put that together. I saw that and I sent mine instead.
- 20:50Speaker 2: And then my team got all upset and they're like, wait,
- 20:53Speaker 2: you didn't like ours, And I said, you know what,
- 20:56Speaker 2: Let's have a competition send that one to. Let's put
- 21:00Speaker 2: them both out and see which one wins. Both out
- 21:03Speaker 2: in the internet and and see which one wins. So
- 21:06Speaker 2: as of we're now twelve twenty one, am uh, the
- 21:13Speaker 2: the Ben Stiller gift, which was clever, has gotten three
- 21:16Speaker 2: hundred and ninety seven thousand views. Okay, the one I
- 21:20Speaker 2: wrote has gotten a million views?
- 21:23Speaker 1: So how long are you going to haze them on
- 21:25Speaker 1: this data that you have that's undisputed.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Okay, so so, not not to brag too much, but
- 21:31Speaker 2: I did beat the team by two d and fifty percent.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Just for everyone, I want to take them behind the
- 21:38Speaker 1: scenes when when senator, when you are correct and your
- 21:41Speaker 1: team has these moments, I enjoy not being on that team.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I enjoy being a spectator.
- 21:47Speaker 3: But I do know.
- 21:48Speaker 1: But hold on, hold on, I'm going to be gracious.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I'm going to be gracious for a minute. Although I
- 21:53Speaker 2: got two and a half times as much coverage as
- 21:55Speaker 2: they did in terms of people watching it, I will
- 21:58Speaker 2: say the comments on the gift, the folks that saw
- 22:01Speaker 2: it loved it. So I'm just gonna go through a few.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Joe Lonsdale, good friend of ours, big tech entrepreneur, has
- 22:08Speaker 2: been on the podcast. He did the crying emoji. Another
- 22:12Speaker 2: guy said, whoever came up with this memes needs a raise.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Another guy said, sir, this is a ten for ten post.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It's too bad news and won't be able to read it.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Another person had a gift from the Simpsons. Hello nine
- 22:27Speaker 2: one one, I'd like to report a murder.
- 22:31Speaker 4: It.
- 22:32Speaker 2: The volume of comments the x trolling continues. Good good
- 22:37Speaker 2: picture of Trump toasting crying Trump Emoji's crews clearly.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Won this round. Boa haa haa haaha.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It's like this put you in my top five favorite
- 22:49Speaker 2: politicians I'm really depressed to or the other four. Well done,
- 22:54Speaker 2: good sir, well done spitting out. He went to school
- 22:56Speaker 2: at the Leering Schools.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So the team is going to it accolades for quality
- 23:01Speaker 1: over quantity.
- 23:02Speaker 2: That's so when I gave them that, actually their comments
- 23:05Speaker 2: the people who saw it loved it. They're like, this
- 23:08Speaker 2: is a friggin great comment. And and so you know
- 23:11Speaker 2: what I said, I'm glad we sent them both. Yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 2: we reached more people minehead kind of substance. I'm going
- 23:17Speaker 2: to tell you another admission. You know how I wrote
- 23:20Speaker 2: my my tweet?
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, hell you do? How No, No, I'm saying how
- 23:27Speaker 1: tell me how I know you said? Yeah, oh yeah, no,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I like, I know you wrote it, but I can
- 23:31Speaker 1: I can all. What people don't understand about you is
- 23:34Speaker 1: when you you can check out of any conversation if
- 23:37Speaker 1: you have something clever that you want to get out
- 23:39Speaker 1: in the into the world of the internet, as you
- 23:42Speaker 1: described earlier, I call it ex social media. I'm just
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'm just gonna hit you on age they're like putting
- 23:47Speaker 1: it out into the internet. Yes, okay, Al Gore, he
- 23:50Speaker 1: created it back in the day. But but when you
- 23:52Speaker 1: when there's nothing scarier than watching TC at dinner, just
- 23:58Speaker 1: quietly over there and disengaging from the conversation for about
- 24:03Speaker 1: five minutes, and you know what's coming. It's gonna be
- 24:06Speaker 1: something really entertaining on the Internet. I can promise you that.
- 24:09Speaker 2: So my team had sent me this gift Monday night.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I was playing hoops, and as you know, I play
- 24:14Speaker 2: hoops twice a week, and so it was about three
- 24:16Speaker 2: hours of hoops and I had after a couple of games,
- 24:18Speaker 2: we lost one game and so I didn't hit my
- 24:21Speaker 2: free throw. So I was sitting waiting for the next game,
- 24:23Speaker 2: and so I typed this responding and it's actually a
- 24:26Speaker 2: very cool thing about AI. So the first part of
- 24:29Speaker 2: it that I sent, which is because you apparently have
- 24:32Speaker 2: no idea that Eisenhower federalized the national Guard, stopped dem
- 24:34Speaker 2: governor from defining federal I wrote that, Yeah, But then
- 24:37Speaker 2: I went to Google and I typed in Eisenhower federalizing
- 24:41Speaker 2: national Guard because like you know, I wanted a little
- 24:43Speaker 2: more research, and Google AI. So the second paragraph of
- 24:47Speaker 2: my tweet was written by Google AI, and so the
- 24:50Speaker 2: paragraph specifically on September twenty third, nineteen fifty seven. So
- 24:54Speaker 2: I didn't know the date until I went into Google AI.
- 24:57Speaker 2: President Eisenhower issued Executive Order ten thirty. I didn't know
- 25:00Speaker 2: the number of the ten seven thirty. Like the whole
- 25:03Speaker 2: details of the second paragraph, the beauty of Google AI,
- 25:07Speaker 2: it took me thirty seconds to pull those details.
- 25:12Speaker 1: It took you missing your free throws, then giving you
- 25:15Speaker 1: the opportunity, then give me the opportunity.
- 25:18Speaker 2: If I hit my damn free throws.
- 25:20Speaker 1: All right, punk this None of this would have ever happened.
- 25:22Speaker 1: None of this would have ever happened if it wasn't
- 25:24Speaker 1: for you sucking at free throw shooting that night. I
- 25:26Speaker 1: just want to be clear about what rocked this opportunity to.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Let me just say for the record, what happened the
- 25:31Speaker 2: last time you played hoose with me?
- 25:33Speaker 1: You or someone else decided to break my finger. It's
- 25:37Speaker 1: still crooked if you can't see it right there, America,
- 25:39Speaker 1: there it is. It is a crooked finger right there.
- 25:41Speaker 2: I'm just saying you were a college Division one varsity athlete.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And to be clear, Lonsdale would back me up on this.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I taped it up and played like a man. You did.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I agree you did not crawl up at a ball
- 25:55Speaker 2: and whimper. But I'm just saying you like you know,
- 25:59Speaker 2: you both sided hoopsman.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And I still hit my shots. You guys don't play fair.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You get older, you start grabbing for some of you
- 26:05Speaker 1: can't see straight if it's out. That's how old guys play.
- 26:09Speaker 1: That's how old guys play exactly exactly, so you miss
- 26:11Speaker 1: your free throws A I came and save the day.
- 26:14Speaker 1: You put out the tweet, Gavin shoots back, and that's
- 26:17Speaker 1: how we got to where we are right now.
- 26:19Speaker 2: But think about it, even like a year ago. To
- 26:22Speaker 2: put together the details of that tweet, I would have
- 26:25Speaker 2: a year ago probably if I wanted to have a
- 26:27Speaker 2: little substance in the tweet, I might have said, you
- 26:29Speaker 2: take your team involved to my team, said hey, research,
- 26:32Speaker 2: give me the exact details. I know Eisenhower federalized the
- 26:35Speaker 2: National Guard.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Give me when, where and why right, and.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Someone would have researched it. They would have sent it
- 26:40Speaker 2: to me, and then I would have included it. And
- 26:41Speaker 2: instead I just did it in between games. Like the
- 26:44Speaker 2: whole thing took me maybe three minutes to type.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So when did you so, when did you see the
- 26:49Speaker 1: Newsom response? Was it after missing more free throws or
- 26:52Speaker 1: was it later on?
- 26:54Speaker 2: It was before the game, And to be honest, I
- 26:56Speaker 2: only set one game. I missed free throws that and
- 26:59Speaker 2: won most of the rest of the time and the
- 27:00Speaker 2: couple of times I lost to hit my free throws,
- 27:02Speaker 2: but I did once miss my damn free throws. But
- 27:08Speaker 2: the beauty of it is it literally so I had
- 27:10Speaker 2: seen it before I started playing, and I'm like, no,
- 27:13Speaker 2: and I'm sorry of you know, I don't know about you,
- 27:15Speaker 2: but like when I'm thinking about something, I often will
- 27:18Speaker 2: sort of put it out of my mind and let.
- 27:20Speaker 1: The back of my pard you go back and then
- 27:22Speaker 1: you come back.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was sort of like literally, as I'm
- 27:25Speaker 2: playing hoops, I'm chewing on what kind of response I
- 27:28Speaker 2: want to have, and so then when I had a break,
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, let me type it out.
- 27:31Speaker 1: All right. I gotta ask you, is Gavin news some
- 27:33Speaker 1: on your top five liberals that you would love one
- 27:36Speaker 1: on one debate with?
- 27:38Speaker 2: Oh, look, I don't know. We talked about in the
- 27:41Speaker 2: last podcast how I think Newsom and AOC are probably
- 27:44Speaker 2: the top two Democratic contenders for the presidential nomination. We'll
- 27:49Speaker 2: see neither of them know what the hell they're talking about.
- 27:52Speaker 2: So I feel confident we will we will see them
- 27:55Speaker 2: called to account.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Well, there's always the leering center of dyslexia. It could
- 27:59Speaker 1: be in California. Gavin Newsom could be in charge of it. Well,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you know, there's waste fraud to be out there.
- 28:04Speaker 2: And by the way, Newsom's being a dufust has nothing
- 28:09Speaker 2: to do with his being dyslexic. I didn't even know
- 28:11Speaker 2: the guy was dyslexic.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I've never just fitted as being a guy that's dyslexic
- 28:16Speaker 1: until I saw his tweet and I'm like, dude, you
- 28:18Speaker 1: don't you like this is so out about, Like you
- 28:21Speaker 1: have no idea what you're talking about. Like, you can
- 28:23Speaker 1: be dyslexic and be brilliant. It doesn't mean that you're incompetent.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And you can know something about history like you know, Okay, fine,
- 28:31Speaker 2: so you have a challenge reading because of a learning
- 28:33Speaker 2: disorder doesn't mean you have to be ignorant of everything
- 28:36Speaker 2: that has happened in American history. But when I ideology
- 28:39Speaker 2: Trump's facts, that's when you say things like what Gavin
- 28:42Speaker 2: Newsom did. By the way, it's also when you say
- 28:44Speaker 2: things like AOC said, where she said, you know, she
- 28:49Speaker 2: got mad at Marco Rubio for talking about all the
- 28:51Speaker 2: things we've inherited from Europe, including cowboy tradition that came
- 28:54Speaker 2: from Spain, and she said, why don't you try asking
- 28:58Speaker 2: Mexico and Africa about that? I will tell you on Twitter.
- 29:01Speaker 2: I had to find this was another thing.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I said.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I just said, hey, Groc, where did the Mexicans get
- 29:06Speaker 2: their horses?
- 29:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 29:07Speaker 2: And of course Groc responded from well, from the Spanish
- 29:11Speaker 2: conquistadors in the fifteenth century, Cortez. By the way, I
- 29:14Speaker 2: pointed out, it's a little ironic her name is Cortes,
- 29:17Speaker 2: and she doesn't actually know about Cortes, like the Spaniards
- 29:21Speaker 2: bringing horses and bringing Look, yes, the Mexican fact vacaros
- 29:26Speaker 2: were a predecessor to American cowboys, but the Spanish vacaroes
- 29:29Speaker 2: were a predecessor to the Mexican vacrooes. But you know what,
- 29:32Speaker 2: a little Marxist like AOC or Gavin Newsom, they don't
- 29:37Speaker 2: want to acknowledge that Europe existed or did anything good,
- 29:40Speaker 2: and so they have to because all is ideology, Europe
- 29:45Speaker 2: must be evil.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't fix stupid, sir, You just can't fix stupid.
- 29:50Speaker 1: All right, this is one of my favorite shows. I
- 29:52Speaker 1: enjoyed this. We gave you a curveball there and you

- 29:57Speaker 1: and we'll get to those other issues, I promise you
- 30:00Speaker 1: in future shows. So don't worry about that. Don't forget.
