- 0:01Speaker 1: Let's start with the big news, and everyone listening right
- 0:05Speaker 1: now should be so excited that Donald Trump has been
- 0:08Speaker 1: able to work with the House in a touch and
- 0:11Speaker 1: go moment on this budget bill with four point five
- 0:15Speaker 1: trillion in tax cuts.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It survived a House vote.
- 0:19Speaker 1: There was a real point in the night where you
- 0:22Speaker 1: could see them canceling the vote. Then they came back
- 0:25Speaker 1: to vote. There was cell phones being passed around on
- 0:28Speaker 1: the floor of the House to different members. They were
- 0:31Speaker 1: apparently being persuaded by the President of the United States
- 0:35Speaker 1: of America to vote on this bill and move it forward. Now,
- 0:39Speaker 1: this massive gop bill would also direct four trillion towards
- 0:43Speaker 1: raising the debt limit, and the House of Representatives adopted
- 0:48Speaker 1: the resolution that will eventually become a massive, multi trillion
- 0:51Speaker 1: dollar bill for President Trump's priorities on the border, on defense,
- 0:55Speaker 1: on energy, and on taxes. How tight was it Well,
- 1:00Speaker 1: it was a two seventeen to two point fifteen vote.
- 1:03Speaker 1: All Democrats vote against the measure, along with a lone
- 1:06Speaker 1: Republican rebel Representative Thomas Massey, Republican from Kentucky, who said
- 1:11Speaker 1: he was concerned about its effects on the national deficit. Now,
- 1:15Speaker 1: the question you're going to ask, is okay, so what's next? Well,
- 1:19Speaker 1: this gets us in the game. I'm going to have
- 1:22Speaker 1: on in a moment, Mike my cohsa verdict Ted Cruz.
- 1:26Speaker 1: He is going to explain for you exactly what is
- 1:30Speaker 1: going to happen next.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We are far from the finish line.
- 1:34Speaker 1: The game is in essence, just started, but we are
- 1:36Speaker 1: at bat now because of what just happened on the
- 1:39Speaker 1: House side. This is a big victory for Donald Trump,
- 1:41Speaker 1: a big victory for Speaker Johnson. It was a dramatic scene,
- 1:45Speaker 1: as I mentioned the House Chamber because the Republican leaders
- 1:49Speaker 1: literally had a delay formally ending a vote for about
- 1:53Speaker 1: forty five minutes as they worked to convince conservative fiscal
- 1:57Speaker 1: hawks to support this legislation. Democrats try to seize on
- 2:03Speaker 1: this moment and they called out loud for the vote
- 2:05Speaker 1: to be closed as Republicans were huddling in all these
- 2:08Speaker 1: different groups. And then there was two people on the
- 2:11Speaker 1: House floor that said that President Donald Trump got involved
- 2:16Speaker 1: speaking to one of the holdouts, was apparently represented Victoria Sparks,
- 2:20Speaker 1: a Republican from Indiana, on the phone. Then Representative Tim Burchett,
- 2:25Speaker 1: a Republican from Tennessee, and Warren Davison, a Republican from Ohio.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We're also on the phone at other parts of the
- 2:33Speaker 1: night on the House floor as well. Now I haven't
- 2:36Speaker 1: be able to confirm if they were talking to Donald
- 2:38Speaker 1: Trump or who they were talking to, but clearly there
- 2:40Speaker 1: was pressure this being put to get the vote where
- 2:43Speaker 1: it needed to be.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So this is big.
- 2:46Speaker 1: We're going to break down what happens next coming up
- 2:49Speaker 1: for you, but before we get to that, while we
- 2:51Speaker 1: may have won this election, the fight to restore our
- 2:53Speaker 1: great nation is only beginning, and now is the time
- 2:56Speaker 1: to take a stand, and Patriot Mobile is leading the charge.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It has never been easier to switch your cell phone
- 3:04Speaker 1: than in twenty twenty five. With technology, you can do
- 3:07Speaker 1: it literally over the phone with a code they send you.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It is amazing. But here's the reason why I use
- 3:14Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile now. One I save money over what I
- 3:17Speaker 1: was paying before with Big Mobile. And two, I'm no
- 3:20Speaker 1: longer supporting the radical left now. I didn't realize until
- 3:24Speaker 1: someone told me just how radical Big Mobile had gotten.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Where they are supporting organizations that pay for abortions or
- 3:30Speaker 1: supporting radical democratic causes and organizations they're helping democrats get
- 3:35Speaker 1: elect it at the local, state, and national level. That
- 3:38Speaker 1: is actually why over a decade ago Patriot Mobile was
- 3:41Speaker 1: started and they are now America's only Christian conservative wireless provider.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Now, let's talk about coverage.
- 3:48Speaker 1: In twenty twenty five, you have zero problems with coverage
- 3:52Speaker 1: anymore because well, Patriot Mobile uses all three major networks.
- 3:56Speaker 2: What does that mean for you?
- 3:57Speaker 1: It means whatever coverage you're used to now you're going
- 4:00Speaker 1: to stay exactly the same, or you may even be
- 4:03Speaker 1: able to improve it, but it will not be any
- 4:05Speaker 1: issues when it comes to coverage. In fact, they have
- 4:08Speaker 1: a coverage guarantee. But when you pay your bill, this
- 4:11Speaker 1: is where the magic happens. They take a portion of
- 4:14Speaker 1: your bill every month and they give it back to
- 4:16Speaker 1: organizations that support our first and our second amendments that
- 4:20Speaker 1: support the sanctity of life, that support our veterans, our
- 4:23Speaker 1: first responders, and are wounded warriors. And like I said,
- 4:27Speaker 1: switching with technology now has never been easier. You keep
- 4:31Speaker 1: your same phone you have now, keep your same phone number,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and you can even upgrade to a new phone if
- 4:35Speaker 1: you want to. They have a one hundred percent US
- 4:38Speaker 1: based customer support team to help you find the perfect
- 4:41Speaker 1: plan and to save money. And if you own a
- 4:44Speaker 1: business or a small business, they have a division that
- 4:46Speaker 1: just works on switching multiple lines over easily. So right now,
- 4:50Speaker 1: go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or call them
- 4:56Speaker 1: nine to seven to two Patriot. You're going to get
- 4:58Speaker 1: a free month of service the promo code ferguson. So
- 5:01Speaker 1: switch to Patriot Mobile and make a difference with every
- 5:04Speaker 1: call you make Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or nine
- 5:08Speaker 1: to seven to two Patriot. There is a really big
- 5:12Speaker 1: news story that I want you to know about, and
- 5:14Speaker 1: this is huge. There is a new report out right
- 5:17Speaker 1: now that the FBI is now investigating a secret quote
- 5:23Speaker 1: honeypot operation that targeted the Donald Trump campaign back in
- 5:29Speaker 1: twenty and sixteen. I'm going to walk you through this
- 5:32Speaker 1: real quick, and I hope that every one of you
- 5:34Speaker 1: again will share this show, share the podcast wherever you can,
- 5:39Speaker 1: because this story is an important one and it's one
- 5:41Speaker 1: that no one is touching. So let me break it
- 5:44Speaker 1: down for you. The Federal Bureau of Investigations FBI is
- 5:48Speaker 1: now investigating a secret honeypot operation that targeted President Donald
- 5:53Speaker 1: Trump's twenty sixteen presidential campaign. According to this new report,
- 5:59Speaker 1: the FBI direct Cashptel, who was confirmed and sworn in
- 6:03Speaker 1: last week, and the FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongenio are
- 6:06Speaker 1: reportedly quote looking for two female agents who took part
- 6:12Speaker 1: in an quote off the book's investigation. Why do we
- 6:18Speaker 1: think it's an off the book's investigation because apparently the
- 6:22Speaker 1: former FBI Director James Comey wanted to launch this off
- 6:26Speaker 1: the book's investigation in twenty fifteen. This according to The
- 6:29Speaker 1: Washington Times now reporting about this whistleblower, the agents who
- 6:35Speaker 1: were quote undercover and were called by the agency honeypot agents.
- 6:42Speaker 1: That is a term that refers to an undercover operative.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Majority of the time, it's a woman who uses sexual
- 6:51Speaker 1: or romantic interests to obtain information from their targets. Again,
- 6:57Speaker 1: this is coming from the Washington Times. So this also
- 7:00Speaker 1: comes after The Washington Times previously reported in October of
- 7:04Speaker 1: twenty twenty four that the House Judiciary Committee was looking
- 7:09Speaker 1: into a whistleblower's claims that the agency quote deliberately targeted
- 7:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump soon after he announced his presidential campaign in
- 7:19Speaker 1: June of twenty fifteen, and what was quote described as
- 7:23Speaker 1: a phishing expedition to find something to find anything. In
- 7:27Speaker 1: other words, the FBI, the deep state didn't want Donald Trump,
- 7:30Speaker 1: so they started this whole grand conspiracy, a honeypot operation
- 7:34Speaker 1: to use sex and flirtation to get into the Trump
- 7:40Speaker 1: campaign and to find some dirt they could use, in essence,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I guess, to blackmail Donald Trump. Quote in a protected disclosure,
- 7:50Speaker 1: the whistleblower, who was an FBI agent, claimed that two
- 7:55Speaker 1: undercover agents had quote infiltrated Trump's presidential campaign and had
- 8:02Speaker 1: been instructed to quote act as honey pots while traveling
- 8:06Speaker 1: with Trump. According to the outlet, so again this is
- 8:09Speaker 1: coming from this whistleblower who was an FBI. He was
- 8:13Speaker 1: an FBI agent saying, hey, I know there was two
- 8:15Speaker 1: undercover agents that found a way into the Trump campaign,
- 8:20Speaker 1: infiltrated the presidential campaign, and then they were instructed to
- 8:24Speaker 1: use their sexual prowess to try to get in with
- 8:27Speaker 1: certain targets. We don't know exactly who the targets were,
- 8:31Speaker 1: to then get information and intel to in essence blackmail
- 8:35Speaker 1: or try to go after them. The agent quote personally
- 8:39Speaker 1: knew that mister Comy ordered an FBI investigation against mister Trump,
- 8:45Speaker 1: and that mister Comy quote personally directed this off the books,
- 8:52Speaker 1: whatever the hell you want to call it, ru's plan.
- 8:57Speaker 2: To overthrow the will of the people. I don't know.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm still trying to get my head around this because
- 9:03Speaker 1: this is all coming from an FBI agent.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It is truly shocking.
- 9:07Speaker 1: The off the books quote investigation did not appear to
- 9:11Speaker 1: target a specific crime either, so this was truly like,
- 9:15Speaker 1: let's just make one up. It was more of what
- 9:18Speaker 1: agents would describe as a fishing expedition to find something,
- 9:23Speaker 1: to find anything incriminating about Donald Trump at the time
- 9:27Speaker 1: as a candidate. The Washington Times also noted that the
- 9:32Speaker 1: whistleblowers disclosure claimed that the investigation was different from Crossfire
- 9:39Speaker 1: Hurricane now Crossfire Hurricane, which was the whole ruse of
- 9:43Speaker 1: targeting Russian collusion that was part of that BS there. Now,
- 9:49Speaker 1: this is all I would argue, incredibly shocking and at
- 9:56Speaker 1: the same time not surprising. Now the I want to
- 10:00Speaker 1: be clear what the media is going to do if
- 10:02Speaker 1: they do have to cover this, They're going to say,
- 10:04Speaker 1: this is Donald Trump going after his political enemies. My
- 10:09Speaker 1: response is, BS, this is Donald Trump investigating the FBI
- 10:13Speaker 1: going rogue off the books without any suspicions of any
- 10:20Speaker 1: crimes being committed to infiltrate the Trump campaign, to either
- 10:27Speaker 1: spy on the campaign or to entice anybody on the campaign,
- 10:33Speaker 1: including I would assume the candidate to do something that
- 10:37Speaker 1: could either use as leverage, blackmail, or try to charge
- 10:40Speaker 1: with doing some sort of crime in this honeypot as
- 10:45Speaker 1: they described it operation. All of this I believe should
- 10:50Speaker 1: be investigated to make sure that it never happens again.
- 10:53Speaker 1: By the way, I don't think that they should be
- 10:54Speaker 1: doing these types of things against Hillary Clinton or Barack
- 10:58Speaker 1: Obama or Joe Biden. The American people should get to
- 11:02Speaker 1: decide who their president is. The American people should decide,
- 11:08Speaker 1: not the FBI, who they choose to be their nominee
- 11:13Speaker 1: from their party. And what we are now finding out
- 11:17Speaker 1: from this is that the FBI said, no, no, we're gonna
- 11:19Speaker 1: make We're gonna be king makers. We're gonna go in,
- 11:23Speaker 1: we're gonna find something. We're gonna use honey pots to
- 11:27Speaker 1: do it against Donald Trump because we don't like him
- 11:32Speaker 1: and we don't want him to be in charge of
- 11:34Speaker 1: the government, so we're gonna take him out. That is
- 11:37Speaker 1: clearly what the FBI agent, who is a whistleblower is
- 11:40Speaker 1: now saying this is an important investigation and it is
- 11:46Speaker 1: not about going after your political opponent.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Now, what does that look like?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Exactly what Hillary Clinton did, Exactly what James Comey did,
- 11:54Speaker 1: exactly what Barack Obama did.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Uh?
- 11:57Speaker 1: When Donald Trump said his campaign was being spot on
- 12:00Speaker 1: by the federal government and everybody on the left and
- 12:02Speaker 1: the media, so that's insane, Well guess what. Not only
- 12:05Speaker 1: has it been verified, but now it looks like there
- 12:07Speaker 1: was a full blown FBI orchestrated honeypot operation to destroy
- 12:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump before he was ever able to even get
- 12:17Speaker 1: to the White House or even before many of you
- 12:19Speaker 1: were able to vote for him. There should be hell
- 12:22Speaker 1: to pay for anybody in the FBI that was involved
- 12:24Speaker 1: in this. There should be hell to pay if this
- 12:27Speaker 1: is true for James Comy as well. All Right, we're
- 12:30Speaker 1: gonna take a break, We're gonna come back. I'm gonna
- 12:32Speaker 1: get to the other issues I talked about earlier, including
- 12:35Speaker 1: the budget and a terrorist attack in our southern border
- 12:38Speaker 1: against ranchers at the hands of cartels using IEDs to
- 12:42Speaker 1: literally blow up a rancher. I'm gonna have that story
- 12:44Speaker 1: for you as well in a moment. All right, joining me.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Now is Senator Ted Cruz the co host of Verdict
- 12:51Speaker 1: with Ted Cruz that I do with him, and we're
- 12:53Speaker 1: gonna pull back the curtain for you and explain to
- 12:56Speaker 1: you what's gonna happen next with this bill that is
- 13:00Speaker 1: just past the house.
- 13:01Speaker 2: What does it mean now? How much money is it
- 13:04Speaker 2: going to save? You? Take a listen?
- 13:05Speaker 1: All right, So, Senator, it was an exciting and intense
- 13:08Speaker 1: night on the floor of the house.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It was the vote was on, it was off.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You literally could physically see people on the floor taking
- 13:16Speaker 1: phone calls, speaking on the phone that's been reported was
- 13:18Speaker 1: with the President United States of America.
- 13:20Speaker 2: This was part of the whipping votes.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And by the way, this is when I tell people
- 13:24Speaker 1: please share this podcast on social media because we're going
- 13:28Speaker 1: to pull back the curtain here and explain to you
- 13:30Speaker 1: what happened and what is next. So you guys, they're
- 13:34Speaker 1: messing with the algorithms now. So we asked for your
- 13:37Speaker 1: support of the show by sharing it on social media,
- 13:40Speaker 1: hitting that subscribe or download the episode button every time
- 13:43Speaker 1: you see the show. But Senator, this was one of
- 13:46Speaker 1: those moments where it's like, Okay, this is real. It's
- 13:49Speaker 1: a tight majority in the House and it passes because
- 13:52Speaker 1: of phone calls literally from the President on the floor.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Well, tonight was the first step in delivering on our
- 13:59Speaker 3: promises to the American people. And if you look at
- 14:02Speaker 3: the election in November, there was a mandate from the voters.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Number one, the mandate is secure the border, and that
- 14:08Speaker 3: is the most overwhelming mandate we have. Beyond that, there's
- 14:12Speaker 3: a mandate to rebuild the military and defend America. There's
- 14:15Speaker 3: a mandate to unleash American energy and by doing so,
- 14:19Speaker 3: to lower energy cost, to lower inflation. And there's a
- 14:22Speaker 3: mandate to bring the economy back to help small businesses,
- 14:26Speaker 3: and that means extending the twenty seventeen Trump tax cuts
- 14:30Speaker 3: that are expiring this year. All of that we got
- 14:33Speaker 3: to get done, and I got to say failure is
- 14:38Speaker 3: not an option. So tonight what the House did is
- 14:42Speaker 3: they voted on their budget resolution. Now, why does a
- 14:45Speaker 3: budget resolution matter? The reason it matters is ordinarily to
- 14:49Speaker 3: pass legislation in the Congress, you need sixty votes in
- 14:54Speaker 3: the Senate. Why is that because the Senate rules give
- 14:57Speaker 3: the minority of the ability to filibuster. A filibuster is
- 15:01Speaker 3: the ability to block legislation unless you have sixty votes
- 15:05Speaker 3: to cut off debate. Now, we only have fifty three
- 15:09Speaker 3: Republicans of the Senate, which means if you need sixty votes,
- 15:12Speaker 3: you need seven Democrats. The seven Democrats are not going
- 15:15Speaker 3: to vote. There are not seven Democrats. There's not even
- 15:18Speaker 3: one Democrat who's going to vote to secure the border,
- 15:21Speaker 3: who's going to vote to cut taxes, is going to
- 15:22Speaker 3: vote to rebuild our military. And so if you've got
- 15:25Speaker 3: to go through the filibuster, you can't win.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:29Speaker 3: The main exception to the Senate filibuster rule is something
- 15:33Speaker 3: called budget reconciliation. Budget reconciliation is a law that was
- 15:38Speaker 3: passed in the nineteen seventies that provides for moving forward
- 15:43Speaker 3: on budgetary matters, and by statute, a budget reconciliation cannot
- 15:49Speaker 3: be filibusters, which means you can pass it with only
- 15:53Speaker 3: fifty votes in the Senate. You don't need sixty. So,
- 15:56Speaker 3: if you go back to twenty seventeen, seventeen Trump tax
- 16:01Speaker 3: cuts we passed using budget reconciliation. If you go back
- 16:05Speaker 3: to the Biden administration, the Democrats use budget reconciliation multiple
- 16:10Speaker 3: times to pass things like their incredibly misnamed inflation reduction Act,
- 16:15Speaker 3: which was the Green New Deal spending scam. They used
- 16:18Speaker 3: that because they couldn't get sixty. Now, in order to
- 16:23Speaker 3: pass our agenda, we are trying to pass budget reconciliation.
- 16:28Speaker 3: The House and Senate have a difference in strategy on
- 16:32Speaker 3: how to do this, and we've talked about this in
- 16:34Speaker 3: a previous podcast, but I'm going to explain a little
- 16:36Speaker 3: bit of it. The House, the Speaker of the House,
- 16:39Speaker 3: believes we should pass one single reconciliation bill. What he
- 16:44Speaker 3: refers to it as is one big, beautiful bill. Donald
- 16:49Speaker 3: Trump has repeated that multiple times, and he believes that's
- 16:53Speaker 3: the best way, with his exceptionally narrow majority in the House,
- 16:57Speaker 3: to get all of this across the finish line. I
- 17:00Speaker 3: will tell you virtually every Republican Senator, including myself, believes
- 17:05Speaker 3: the way to do this is two bills, starting with
- 17:09Speaker 3: one bill that secures the border, rebuilds the military, and
- 17:12Speaker 3: Unleasha's energy, and then a second bill that extends the
- 17:17Speaker 3: tax cuts and makes them bigger and bolder. I don't
- 17:22Speaker 3: know who's right. I don't know if the Senate's right
- 17:24Speaker 3: or the House is right, but at some level, Ben
- 17:27Speaker 3: I don't care. We just have to get the job done.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So tonight I had dinner with Steve Scalise. Steve is
- 17:34Speaker 3: a good friend. He is the House Majority leader.
- 17:37Speaker 2: By the way he's he doing.
- 17:39Speaker 1: For people that know his history of being shot and
- 17:42Speaker 1: the health issues, I just I want to pause and ask,
- 17:46Speaker 1: how is he doing physically?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Really really well? So Steve, Steve has been is a
- 17:51Speaker 3: good friend. He's from Louisiana, He's a conservative, he's a friend.
- 17:55Speaker 3: He and I have been friends a long time. He's
- 17:58Speaker 3: doing great. And listen, Steve. We all remember where Steve
- 18:02Speaker 3: was shot with a crazed, angry leftist who went to
- 18:06Speaker 3: the practice of the congressional baseball game and wanted to
- 18:09Speaker 3: kill Republicans and shot and badly wounded. Steve shot him
- 18:16Speaker 3: in the pelvis and he was in a coma for
- 18:18Speaker 3: several days. He almost died. He's recovered from that. And
- 18:22Speaker 3: then I got to say, Steve has had some tough
- 18:25Speaker 3: health scares because he had just a couple of years
- 18:28Speaker 3: ago cancer and he was down in Houston at M
- 18:32Speaker 3: d Anderson being treated. And M d Anderson is an
- 18:35Speaker 3: amazing hospital. My mom, who's ninety now, she was treated
- 18:40Speaker 3: there for cancer. It is look cancer is a terrifying diagnosis.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I hope never in my life to be a patient.
- 18:48Speaker 2: At m D Anderson.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I don't want to be a patient there because you're
- 18:50Speaker 3: only a patient there if you have cancer.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'd really like not to have cancer.
- 18:54Speaker 3: But I'll tell you this, if I ever get cancer,
- 18:57Speaker 3: believe I want to be patient at MD Anderson. They
- 19:00Speaker 3: do an amazing job. And I got to say Steve,
- 19:03Speaker 3: his health is doing great. I told him tonight he is.
- 19:07Speaker 3: He's in remission, he's finished with his cancer treatment. He
- 19:11Speaker 3: is strong, his color is back, he is full of
- 19:15Speaker 3: life and vim and vigor. I told him, I said, look,
- 19:19Speaker 3: even you know, five six months ago, when he was
- 19:22Speaker 3: coming out of the cancer treatment, you could see, Look,
- 19:24Speaker 3: when you go through that, you go through chemo, it
- 19:27Speaker 3: weakens you. You can just see it's hard, your body
- 19:30Speaker 3: is I mean it exact cost. It's brutal. But you
- 19:36Speaker 3: know what, Steve is strong and effective and good. I
- 19:40Speaker 3: was really encouraged, as the best I've seen Steve in years,
- 19:43Speaker 3: and he's come through this. And he was jubilant. So
- 19:47Speaker 3: he was on the House floor. He's the House majority leader.
- 19:50Speaker 3: He was trying to get the votes to pass this
- 19:53Speaker 3: on the House and he wasn't sure. So the first
- 19:55Speaker 3: time they brought it on the House, it failed, and
- 19:57Speaker 3: then he kept pressing and then he got it done,
- 20:00Speaker 3: and he got it done. Look, a critical piece of
- 20:03Speaker 3: getting it done was President Trump.
- 20:05Speaker 1: All right, I want to ask you one other question
- 20:06Speaker 1: on the budget issue. So for people that say, okay,
- 20:10Speaker 1: this past, how quick is this going to move forward
- 20:12Speaker 1: or how long is this.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Going to be? It's a long way to go.
- 20:15Speaker 1: So what's the timeline on this? So we limit expectations
- 20:18Speaker 1: or be realistic.
- 20:20Speaker 3: So the budget resolution just starts this process. Now what's
- 20:24Speaker 3: happened in the House is they've directed each of the
- 20:27Speaker 3: House committees to draft the underlying bill. So what was
- 20:31Speaker 3: voted on tonight was not securing the border, it was
- 20:34Speaker 3: not rebuilding the military, it was not cutting taxes.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It was the.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Opening resolution to say, go draft that legislation. That was
- 20:44Speaker 3: a real fight.
- 20:45Speaker 2: So this is the first setting. To use a baseball analogy.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yes, now it actually gets your batter at the plate,
- 20:53Speaker 3: Like if they'd failed, they don't even get a batter
- 20:55Speaker 3: at the plate. So now we can start swinging.
- 20:58Speaker 2: We're in the game.
- 20:59Speaker 3: But they're gonna be harder steps forward. And I believe
- 21:04Speaker 3: we're going to get this done. I believe we're going
- 21:07Speaker 3: to get this done. We're going to secure the border,
- 21:09Speaker 3: we're going to rebuild the military, we're going to unleash
- 21:11Speaker 3: American energy, and we're going to extend the tax cuts.
- 21:14Speaker 3: But it is going to be a lot of trade offs.
- 21:17Speaker 3: It's going to be hard. It's gonna be hard because
- 21:20Speaker 3: the House majority is so excruciatingly tiny that on any issue,
- 21:26Speaker 3: if you lose two votes, you're you're you're out of luck.
- 21:30Speaker 3: But I think we will get the job done. And
- 21:33Speaker 3: I will say both Mike Johnson, the Speaker, and Steve Scalise,
- 21:36Speaker 3: the Majority leader, they're both good friends. I work very
- 21:39Speaker 3: closely with both of them, and I think we will
- 21:43Speaker 3: go through some difficult paths to get there. But all
- 21:49Speaker 3: of us, from the most conservative Republican to the most moderate, squishy,
- 21:54Speaker 3: wobbly Republican, all of us want to produce these victories
- 21:58Speaker 3: we get. There is a mandate from the election, and
- 22:02Speaker 3: we can't fail. And by the way, if we fail,
- 22:06Speaker 3: if we don't secure the border, if we don't rebuild
- 22:08Speaker 3: the military, if we don't unleash energy, if we don't
- 22:11Speaker 3: extend the tax cuts, we'll get killed in November of
- 22:16Speaker 3: next year.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's I'm a big believer.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Trump said on the floor, right like, Hey, you don't
- 22:22Speaker 1: want to be involved in this.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Right, get it done. We made a promise to the voters.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Let's deliver on the voters, and I think today was
- 22:29Speaker 3: an important step to doing that.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Let's talk about the border for a second.
- 22:33Speaker 1: There was there was another big story and I want
- 22:36Speaker 1: you to just read part of this for people, because
- 22:38Speaker 1: it truly is heartbreaking.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It makes me angry.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's what you see in war in the Middle East,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and it's happening now against ranchers and people in agriculture.
- 22:51Speaker 1: The warning is very real now that the cartels are
- 22:54Speaker 1: acting like what they are, terrorists organizations. I think this
- 22:58Speaker 1: is another example of the press in getting it right,
- 23:01Speaker 1: saying we're going to acquire them as terrorist organizations because
- 23:04Speaker 1: they that's what they do. They are terrorists organizations. And
- 23:07Speaker 1: now we have another data point of saying here's the proof.
- 23:11Speaker 3: So let me read from a story in the New
- 23:13Speaker 3: York Post. Texas rancher killed by suspected cartel ied on
- 23:19Speaker 3: Mexican border as authorities worn of growing threat. Here's what
- 23:23Speaker 3: the New York Post reported quote a Texas border rancher
- 23:27Speaker 3: was killed near the border by a suspected cartel ied
- 23:32Speaker 3: earlier this month. The Texas Department of Agriculture told the
- 23:36Speaker 3: Post Tuesday, as officials issued an urgent safety warning for
- 23:42Speaker 3: the Rio Grande Valley rancher Antonio Gespenis Saldierna, seventy four,
- 23:49Speaker 3: who worked on both sides of the border along with
- 23:53Speaker 3: Horatio Lopez Pena, was killed in the blast in Tamalipas, Mexico,
- 23:59Speaker 3: which was just south of Brownsville, Texas. Lopez's wife, Nienphi
- 24:06Speaker 3: Griselda Ortega, was hospitalized with injuries. Saldirna was driving on
- 24:12Speaker 3: his ranch when he hit the explosive device, causing it
- 24:17Speaker 3: to detonate. According to KRGV, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller
- 24:22Speaker 3: said the deadly explosion is part of a quote growing
- 24:26Speaker 3: threat posed by cartel activity along our southern border and
- 24:31Speaker 3: encourages ranchers to quote exercise extreme caution in the area.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Quote.
- 24:37Speaker 3: I encourage everyone in the agricultural industry to stay vigilant,
- 24:42Speaker 3: remain aware of their surroundings, and report any suspicious activity
- 24:45Speaker 3: law enforcement. Additionally, you can avoid dirt roads and remote areas.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Refrain from touching unfamiliar objects that could be explosive devices,
- 24:56Speaker 3: limit travel to daylight hours, stay on main roads, and
- 25:00Speaker 3: avoid cartel controlled regions.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Said Miller.
- 25:04Speaker 3: This is happening right at the Texas Mexico border. I
- 25:09Speaker 3: gotta say it is dangerous and it shows. You know,
- 25:14Speaker 3: some in the media say, gosh, it's hyperbole, it's rhetoric
- 25:17Speaker 3: to call the cartel's terrorists. They are terrorists and they're
- 25:22Speaker 3: murdering Texans.
- 25:23Speaker 1: What does this mean moving forward? If they continue this?
- 25:26Speaker 1: And how could this change the way that we interact
- 25:29Speaker 1: with them? Because I think there's a lot of Americans
- 25:32Speaker 1: right now they're like, look, if we're gonna call them terrasts,
- 25:35Speaker 1: let's go after them like they're terrorists.
- 25:37Speaker 2: How dare them be allowed to do this?
- 25:40Speaker 3: Well, I believe we're gonna do that. I believe we're
- 25:42Speaker 3: starting with we saw on January twentieth, President Trump securing
- 25:47Speaker 3: the border. We've seen the numbers of illegal crossings plummet,
- 25:52Speaker 3: drop ninety percent. We're gonna go after them. We're gonna
- 25:56Speaker 3: go after them. We're gonna go after the people who
- 25:57Speaker 3: are here. The murderer is the rapist, the child will lesters,
- 26:00Speaker 3: the the gang members, we're resting them, we're deporting them,
- 26:04Speaker 3: we're going to send them back. But we're also stopping
- 26:08Speaker 3: the traffic coming in, the human traffickers, the drug traffickers.
- 26:12Speaker 3: That is impacting the cartel's bottom lines. But I think
- 26:15Speaker 3: we're going to use leverage to go after the cartels
- 26:18Speaker 3: directly and try to Joe Biden and the Democrats gave
- 26:24Speaker 3: billions of dollars to the cartels, a stat you and
- 26:28Speaker 3: I have talked about multiple times, but it's a stunning stat.
- 26:32Speaker 3: In twenty eighteen, the Mexican draw cartels made roughly five
- 26:37Speaker 3: hundred million dollars from human trafficking. Five hundred million dollars
- 26:40Speaker 3: is a lot of money. Last year they made thirteen
- 26:46Speaker 3: billion dollars, a two tho six hundred percent increase. That
- 26:52Speaker 3: is ending now, and I have every confidence the Trump
- 26:55Speaker 3: administration is going to go after their money. It's going
- 26:58Speaker 3: to go after them directly, and you are going to
- 27:00Speaker 3: see the cartels targeted, just like we target al Qaeda
- 27:04Speaker 3: and Hamas and hezbolah. The days of the cartels terrorizing Americans,
- 27:10Speaker 3: those days are ending.
- 27:12Speaker 2: All right center.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Lastly, there is a war that is taking place between
- 27:17Speaker 1: Donald Trump and certain states that are saying we're not
- 27:20Speaker 1: going to listen to you.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Maine now is the latest state to tell the DOJ.
- 27:26Speaker 1: In essence, this is adding to California and Minnesota saying
- 27:30Speaker 1: we're not going to comply with the federal laws protecting girls' sports.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I'm trying to figure this out.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Is this pure arrogance or is this a political move
- 27:41Speaker 1: by the radical left to say we're not going to comply,
- 27:45Speaker 1: and we think it's going to be good for us
- 27:47Speaker 1: to raise money and for our base break this down
- 27:50Speaker 1: for us.
- 27:50Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 27:52Speaker 3: Well, listen, Unfortunately, elected Democrats remain radical that they have
- 27:57Speaker 3: not learned any lessons from the November election. So if
- 28:01Speaker 3: you look at Democrats in Congress, if you looked at
- 28:04Speaker 3: Democrat governors, they continue to support open borders, they continue
- 28:08Speaker 3: to support releasing murderers and rapists and child molesters into
- 28:13Speaker 3: this country. You look at we talked about this in
- 28:16Speaker 3: last week's pod, how Massachusetts is literally releasing violent child
- 28:22Speaker 3: rapists who are illegal immigrants rather than turn them over
- 28:26Speaker 3: to Ice to be deported. And I got to say, look,
- 28:30Speaker 3: this is not a sixty forty issue. It's not a
- 28:32Speaker 3: seventy thirty issue. This is at eighty twenty or a
- 28:36Speaker 3: ninety ten issue.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I mean, if you.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Ask any rational, insane person, a violent child rapist, should
- 28:45Speaker 3: we release him into our community? Any rational person, most
- 28:51Speaker 3: normal Democrats would say, hell no, that's a dumb ass idea.
- 28:55Speaker 3: And yet the elected Democrats in Massachusetts, their answer is
- 29:00Speaker 3: let them go. We are opposed to deporting anyone, no
- 29:04Speaker 3: matter how vile. They're continuing the same position on they
- 29:10Speaker 3: continue to support. The Democrats in Congress continue to support
- 29:15Speaker 3: sterilizing and castrating children for sex change operations. Again, that's
- 29:20Speaker 3: an eighty twenty issue. They're on the wrong side of it,
- 29:22Speaker 3: but they're listening to their radical base. And when it
- 29:25Speaker 3: comes to men and women's sports, this is another eighty
- 29:29Speaker 3: twenty issue. The American people don't want boys competing against
- 29:34Speaker 3: their daughters, they don't want men competing against women, and
- 29:37Speaker 3: yet the Democrats are all in on that. And I've
- 29:40Speaker 3: been amazed. Normally, when your party gets clobbered in an election,
- 29:46Speaker 3: you go and reassess, gosh, maybe we miscalibrated, maybe we
- 29:50Speaker 3: should change where we stand. The Democrats are not doing that.
- 29:54Speaker 3: And so what happened this week is Pambondi, the new
- 29:57Speaker 3: attorney General, targeted in particular three states, targeted Maine, California,
- 30:06Speaker 3: and Minnesota, and she issued a warning to them that
- 30:09Speaker 3: those states have to comply with federal anti discrimination laws
- 30:13Speaker 3: that require them to keep boys at a girl sports.
- 30:16Speaker 3: And here's what Pambondi said, quote, This Department of Justice
- 30:20Speaker 3: will defend women and does not tolerate state officials who
- 30:25Speaker 3: ignore federal law. We will leverage every legal option necessary
- 30:31Speaker 3: to ensure state compliance with federal law and President Trump's
- 30:36Speaker 3: executive Order protecting women's sports. And she continues, The Department
- 30:41Speaker 3: of Justice says, quote, as President Trump's recent executive Order
- 30:45Speaker 3: one four to two zero one on this subject explains,
- 30:48Speaker 3: allowing men and boys to compete in women's and girl
- 30:51Speaker 3: sports quote is demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls.
- 30:58Speaker 3: This practice is also illegal under federal law. It denies
- 31:03Speaker 3: women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel
- 31:07Speaker 3: in competitive sports, in violation of Title nine of the
- 31:11Speaker 3: Educational Amendments of nineteen seventy two. And so understand, the
- 31:15Speaker 3: Department of Justice is making clear they intend to sue
- 31:18Speaker 3: these states and they intend to cut off federal funds
- 31:21Speaker 3: to these states if they continue to embrace the radical
- 31:25Speaker 3: notion that they're going to let boys compete in girls' sports.
- 31:28Speaker 3: We talked about in Monday's pod how the governor Maine
- 31:32Speaker 3: is in open defiance, saying to hell with you, we'll
- 31:35Speaker 3: see you in court. It's amazing democrats continue to embrace
- 31:39Speaker 3: these radical positions.
