- 2:25Speaker 2: better than you know. Yeah, Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Didn't see it coming, but he did. I'm gonna share
- 2:32Speaker 2: with you today a principle of success. You know, it's
- 2:39Speaker 2: it's important that we get our lives together. I mean
- 2:42Speaker 2: it really really is. You know, the hereafter is exactly
- 2:45Speaker 2: what it says is to hereafter, and hopefully for the
- 2:49Speaker 2: majority of us, that's quite a way He's off. So
- 2:53Speaker 2: what about how you living today. How about him now?
- 2:58Speaker 2: You know often talk to you to talk in the
- 3:00Speaker 2: morning about your relationship with God. That can never change.
- 3:04Speaker 2: That is at the forefront and the best thought process
- 3:10Speaker 2: that I can give you. And I know who I'm
- 3:12Speaker 2: talking to on the radio. I'm talking to a lot
- 3:15Speaker 2: of people, man, who out there just not sure. And
- 3:19Speaker 2: I'm talking to a lot of people out there man
- 3:22Speaker 2: that's trying to pull it together. In other words, you know,
- 3:25Speaker 2: I'm talking to a lot of people like myself. There
- 3:30Speaker 2: is a principle of success that is out there that
- 3:32Speaker 2: if more people understood one of the base this is
- 3:35Speaker 2: just one of one of the basic principles of success,
- 3:38Speaker 2: you would have more success in your life. And that
- 3:41Speaker 2: principle is this, the more people you help become successful,
- 3:46Speaker 2: the more successful you become. Well, the more people you
- 3:51Speaker 2: help become successful, the more successful you become. Because you
- 3:56Speaker 2: are practicing helping your and as you do on to others,
- 4:00Speaker 2: then it's done unto you. You build relationships. When you
- 4:07Speaker 2: do that, people forget and success that has to be relationships.
- 4:12Speaker 2: There is no one person in this world who is
- 4:15Speaker 2: just successful all on their own. You are successful, and
- 4:19Speaker 2: successful people form relationships and You've got to really coddle
- 4:25Speaker 2: these relationships. You've got to nurture these relationships. They don't
- 4:30Speaker 2: just happen. You don't just get cool with people just
- 4:33Speaker 2: cause you cool. No, you've got to do some cool
- 4:37Speaker 2: things to these people and for these people, for these
- 4:40Speaker 2: people to be cool with you when you need some cool.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm explaining that right, but that's
- 4:45Speaker 2: the best way I can tell it to you. I'm
- 4:47Speaker 2: just regular, you know, I just speak like that. This
- 4:51Speaker 2: is an important principle to put into your life. The
- 4:55Speaker 2: more people you help become successful, the more successful you become.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You can look. You have to say to people, hey,
- 5:03Speaker 2: look I've done that. This is what you got to do.
- 5:06Speaker 2: You got to take some time out to share. You
- 5:09Speaker 2: have to share information, experiences, thoughts. You got to take
- 5:13Speaker 2: a minute man to uplift somebody, give them some encouragement.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Hey man, you can do it. Don't give up. You
- 5:21Speaker 2: have no idea. You you you right now. You have
- 5:26Speaker 2: no idea how significant you are to someone else, how
- 5:32Speaker 2: your words of encouragement could be the difference maker. Today
- 5:37Speaker 2: I'm talking about it's a person looking at you that
- 5:39Speaker 2: you don't even really know you or you don't really
- 5:41Speaker 2: know them, and you see them struggling with something, just say, hey,
- 5:44Speaker 2: you know what, I've been watching you from afar. You
- 5:46Speaker 2: gonna be all right, man, I see some menu. Keep
- 5:49Speaker 2: doing the right thing, man, You're gonna be alright. I
- 5:52Speaker 2: had a meeting with a young man for the first time,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and this young man came into my office and never
- 5:59Speaker 2: met He has an internet service, which anybody can teach
- 6:05Speaker 2: me something about the internet, because I know little too
- 6:07Speaker 2: close to nothing. He was twenty seven years old, and
- 6:12Speaker 2: he was amazingly bright at this and I guess, you know,
- 6:17Speaker 2: that's not that hard to impress me. But the fluid
- 6:23Speaker 2: speech pattern that he had about this very very difficult subject.
- 6:26Speaker 2: He was tossing around the terms I had heard, but
- 6:29Speaker 2: he was actually putting him in sentences where had made
- 6:32Speaker 2: since to me, it's very fluid, very sure of himself.
- 6:36Speaker 2: When he was talking about this little thing, A young
- 6:39Speaker 2: dude twenty seven years old. And when he got through,
- 6:43Speaker 2: the woman that had introduced me to him, I was
- 6:45Speaker 2: leaving my office and she was going to escort him out,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and I turned around and I said, young man, I said,
- 6:52Speaker 2: what size pants are you? And I guessed it because
- 6:56Speaker 2: I've been dressing for long. I've been all them sizes.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I said, you about a thirty ways? He said, yes, Sir.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I said, what side shoe you waisted nine and a half?
- 7:05Speaker 2: I said, what side shirt is? At a medium? He said,
- 7:09Speaker 2: I really like extra large. I said, well, that's too
- 7:11Speaker 2: big for you. You just want to look blousey and bagging.
- 7:15Speaker 2: And so I was talking to him. Man I said, Man,
- 7:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna help you out. I said, man, because let
- 7:20Speaker 2: me tell you something. You a sharp young dude. Man,
- 7:24Speaker 2: you are raisor sharp. I say, you've really really impressed
- 7:27Speaker 2: me today. I said, And you know what, young brother,
- 7:30Speaker 2: I said, You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I said, but I want you to get your image up.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I want you to. I want you to look at
- 7:37Speaker 2: how you dress because you're coming into professional people's office
- 7:41Speaker 2: and you're talking about doing something for them, and it
- 7:44Speaker 2: takes money to make it happen. I got to give
- 7:46Speaker 2: you money to make this happen. What you cannot afford
- 7:49Speaker 2: to do is look like you need every dime of
- 7:51Speaker 2: this money. See you get when you go in there
- 7:54Speaker 2: and you talking about money with another person, the person
- 7:58Speaker 2: that's going to give you this money. Can not you
- 8:00Speaker 2: can't look like you need every dime of this money,
- 8:03Speaker 2: you know, So you got to start presenting yourself. And
- 8:06Speaker 2: that's all I just said to him. I just said, man,
- 8:08Speaker 2: but you know what you shop, You're gonna make yourself
- 8:10Speaker 2: some money. I'm gonna help you out a little bit.
- 8:13Speaker 2: I walked out. I went on bout my business. Later
- 8:15Speaker 2: on that afternoon, I had a meeting with the woman
- 8:17Speaker 2: that bought him in and she said, mister Harvey, you
- 8:19Speaker 2: have no idea what you just did. He said, his
- 8:22Speaker 2: eyes just teared up when you walked out. He said, Wow, man,
- 8:26Speaker 2: that man don't even know me, and he just encouraged me.
- 8:30Speaker 2: He said, man, I always thought I might could make it,
- 8:33Speaker 2: but he said, I ain't never had nobody like him
- 8:35Speaker 2: tell me I could make it. And just hearing it
- 8:38Speaker 2: from him, man, that's all right. I'm gonna get my
- 8:42Speaker 2: clothes together. But you know, I've been homeless. And then
- 8:46Speaker 2: he started telling the woman that he had been homeless,
- 8:49Speaker 2: and so, you know, then she telling me that now
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'm fit to cry, because you know, I've been in
- 8:53Speaker 2: that hole before. And I just and I'm just sharing
- 8:55Speaker 2: that story with y'all just to say. You don't know
- 8:59Speaker 2: who you talking too, But what does it hurt if
- 9:02Speaker 2: you just extend your hand to a person and give
- 9:05Speaker 2: them a moment of encouragement. See this young brother right here,
- 9:10Speaker 2: he could come back one day and be a major
- 9:13Speaker 2: benefit to me because he has a skill set that
- 9:17Speaker 2: I don't have. Oh. I might be old, mister Steve Harvey,
- 9:20Speaker 2: but hey, guess what, I don't know nothing about what
- 9:23Speaker 2: this young cat know. And he done went off and
- 9:25Speaker 2: educated himself. And just a word of encouragement from somebody
- 9:29Speaker 2: like yourself can make all the difference in another person's life.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So remember on your way to the top. The more
- 9:39Speaker 2: people that you help become successful, the more successful you become.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It's a requirement of God that you do that. That
- 9:47Speaker 2: ain't Steve Harvey talking. If you read your Bible. Somebody
- 9:50Speaker 2: got a Bible verse that back me up. Email it
- 9:52Speaker 2: to me today if you know what it is. I
- 9:54Speaker 2: don't know, but y'all do out there all right, you're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen. Anyone who is a working class, all

- 11:07Speaker 2: I'm in the God business, and I'm gonna remain in
- 11:10Speaker 2: it because that's a good place to be. Ladies and gentlemen.

- 40:00Speaker 9: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll
- 40:03Speaker 9: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 40:06Speaker 1: You're listening the Harvey Morning Show. Well, I know you guys,
- 40:10Speaker 1: if you've.
- 40:11Speaker 9: Been on social media, you've seen this story in the
- 40:13Speaker 9: videos over the holiday at the con Film Festival, where
- 40:17Speaker 9: a security guard there was rude to several female stars
- 40:22Speaker 9: on the red carpet. The security guard was first brought
- 40:25Speaker 9: to our attention when a video was released of her
- 40:27Speaker 9: stepping on Kelly Roland's red, strapless gown as Kelly walked
- 40:32Speaker 9: up the red carpet steps. Kelly graciously forgave her and
- 40:37Speaker 9: kept walking. The security guard then touched Kelly's back and
- 40:40Speaker 9: appeared to be pushing her quickly up the stairs. We're
- 40:44Speaker 9: talking about Kelly Roland, now, sweet Kelly Roland. At that point,
- 40:48Speaker 9: Kelly turned to her and had a few words for her,
- 40:52Speaker 9: and with her finger pointed in the security guard space.
- 40:55Speaker 9: According to several sources, Kelly told the security guard to quote,
- 40:58Speaker 9: stop talking to me like that.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I am not a child.
- 41:02Speaker 9: Kelly immediately got backlash when commenters on social media labeled
- 41:06Speaker 9: her as a mean girl or the dreaded angry black woman.
- 41:12Speaker 9: It was not until later, when other video surface of
- 41:15Speaker 9: the same little security guard now irritating a few other
- 41:18Speaker 9: white female celebrities on the red carpet, that Kelly Roland's
- 41:21Speaker 9: actions were justified.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So you guys saw this, Right's crazy?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Good?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah, this is great, And Kelly Roland. We all know
- 41:29Speaker 1: how she is.
- 41:30Speaker 9: She's sweet as pie. You got to really get on
- 41:32Speaker 9: her nerves to irritate her to make her go like that.
- 41:36Speaker 9: So here's the question. Why are so many people just
- 41:40Speaker 9: so quick to label black women as mean girls or
- 41:43Speaker 9: bossy when we stand up for ourselves angry black women.
- 41:48Speaker 9: Sometimes there's sometimes story about but sometimes there is something
- 41:51Speaker 9: to be mad about.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Why is it only justified when it happened to the
- 41:54Speaker 2: white girls?
- 41:56Speaker 5: Right?
- 41:56Speaker 1: Exactly that part?
- 41:58Speaker 2: We know why. First of all, Kelly Rowland does not
- 42:03Speaker 2: having a reputation of being and she's one of the
- 42:06Speaker 2: coolest people in the business. Sweetheart classing Kelly Rowland. Kelly Rowland,
- 42:14Speaker 2: don't be in no mess. But see these people right here.
- 42:16Speaker 2: You can't put your hand on me pushing me. You're
- 42:19Speaker 2: talking to me crazy, Kelly. No hold on who you
- 42:22Speaker 2: talking to? Yeah? But see see But hit the problem though,
- 42:26Speaker 2: when other people who don't have no facts, wasn't there
- 42:31Speaker 2: everybody seems to be sold ready to jump on the
- 42:36Speaker 2: celebrity's back about something they do without knowing all the facts.
- 42:40Speaker 2: When Kelly Rowland does not have a reputation of being
- 42:43Speaker 2: a mean girl or person, that's difficult to work with.
- 42:46Speaker 2: She got her she got standards, as she should and
- 42:49Speaker 2: she should be respected. But put your hand on me.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Whill you touching? Why is this?
- 42:56Speaker 11: Why was it even a news story in the first
- 42:58Speaker 11: place when she just up for herself and correct to somebody.
- 43:01Speaker 1: But now it's a news story because.
- 43:05Speaker 9: Because she's rolling and because she had that other incident
- 43:08Speaker 9: in New York at the TV station today. Now they're
- 43:13Speaker 9: trying to label her. You know, yeah, she's hard to
- 43:16Speaker 9: get along with, she's difficult. She's an angry black woman.
- 43:19Speaker 5: You know.
- 43:20Speaker 11: That's what we saw the security guard do the same
- 43:23Speaker 11: thing to an actress from the Dominican report.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Security guard the security girl, well the.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Dominican to get back, she pushed her off her everything
- 43:46Speaker 1: Well excuse, huh what did you just say?
- 43:51Speaker 2: He said? Everything can't result I'm just try.
- 43:56Speaker 1: But wait a minute, I'm confused.
- 43:59Speaker 7: But you mean but Tommy means woman to woman with
- 44:03Speaker 7: the woman Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, okay, you scared for
- 44:12Speaker 7: a moment.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Slapping back headed Joe jacking.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Down Yeah yeah, but yeah, yeah, that was crazy.
- 44:26Speaker 2: It was great.
- 44:28Speaker 11: But Kelly the first time, so it had to other
- 44:32Speaker 11: them been Oh nah, she's telling the truth.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Okay, that's what Kelly was talking about.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Okay, that's the cury God won't be working at amore.
- 44:41Speaker 9: I got news I can't tell. Every time you look up,
- 44:44Speaker 9: she's still there. She's still at work, all right. Coming
- 44:48Speaker 9: up next, the Nephew and the prank phone call for today.
- 44:51Speaker 9: Right after this, you're listening.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Morning show.
- 44:56Speaker 9: Coming up at about four minutes after the hour. It's
- 44:59Speaker 9: my Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is if
- 45:01Speaker 9: I had a dollar for every time dot dot dot
- 45:05Speaker 9: dot dot. We'll get into that find out what that's
- 45:08Speaker 9: all about in just a few because right now it
- 45:11Speaker 9: is time for the Nephew and today's praying phone call.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Nephew, what you got?
- 45:15Speaker 2: You know what I got? I meant to tell y'all,
- 45:18Speaker 2: junior man the more day weekend. I meant to sing
- 45:21Speaker 2: you I was gonna ask Uncle Steve, I was gonna
- 45:23Speaker 2: send a text so we can show you our fence line.
- 45:26Speaker 2: While while I was cooking out on the petty, I
- 45:28Speaker 2: meant to show you for the fence line, and you
- 45:31Speaker 2: can see what a fence line looked like. You know
- 45:33Speaker 2: what I mean. I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna have
- 45:36Speaker 2: un let's send junior a fence line so we can show.
- 45:39Speaker 1: The boys finished me.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Now I understand why he ain't in a hurry to
- 45:45Speaker 2: get no fish, and the fence may not even be
- 45:48Speaker 2: necessary because all junior buyd for all holiday events and
- 45:53Speaker 2: future vents. It's twenty five dollars a meat. Ain't nobody
- 45:56Speaker 2: hoped no fence to steal, so I don't really see
- 46:02Speaker 2: why you need a fence, right to say, listen to no.
- 46:06Speaker 2: He got a Weber grill with wheels on it. He
- 46:08Speaker 2: rolled that right inside, shut the door. He ain't got
- 46:13Speaker 2: no patty right inside?
- 46:16Speaker 5: What break it out?
- 46:17Speaker 2: Roll it right inside and locked the door. And the
- 46:20Speaker 2: patty on furniture it fold up. He ain't got the
- 46:23Speaker 2: kind to stay out there is he got fold up
- 46:25Speaker 2: patty on furniture. He just folded them bringing in. I'm
- 46:28Speaker 2: starting out to see no need for no fishers. What
- 46:30Speaker 2: he say?
- 46:32Speaker 1: So you're saying save your coins.
- 46:37Speaker 2: That's made out of that plastic with them straps in
- 46:39Speaker 2: it that we used to take to the park. He
- 46:42Speaker 2: got them. That's his patio furniture. His grill is a
- 46:46Speaker 2: mini grill. I find out because that he tried to
- 46:49Speaker 2: make his barbecue last longer. So he got a mini grill,
- 46:52Speaker 2: so he can only put like two Remember, well, yeah
- 46:57Speaker 2: he got the old old smoky show. Yeah he got
- 47:01Speaker 2: tailgating stuff.
- 47:03Speaker 5: All.
- 47:04Speaker 2: He got that show. Now you can put that. You
- 47:06Speaker 2: can set that one up in the trunk your car.
- 47:09Speaker 1: He's gotta start, even if you got a hatchback.
- 47:13Speaker 2: When he started, but he don't need Okay, y'all want

- 53:01Speaker 5: that I'm done.
- 53:01Speaker 4: You ain't got say to me.
- 53:03Speaker 5: I do have one say. I do need to say

- 53:08Speaker 5: This is left you Tommy from the Steve Harby Morning Show.

- 53:41Speaker 5: I thought you was coming to the pool tomorrow.
- 53:44Speaker 4: I was coming to the office today, and they staid
- 53:46Speaker 4: was opening the firecr off to tell me to come
- 53:48Speaker 4: my file myself in the pool.
- 53:51Speaker 3: I was gonna come.
- 53:52Speaker 5: Now, take care of them kids, baby. I got one
- 53:56Speaker 5: more thing. I got to ask you. What is the

- 54:04Speaker 2: So and now you have it all right.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Coming up next like Strawberry Letter for today. Subject if I.

- 54:33Speaker 9: going to read this one right here, right now, and
- 54:36Speaker 9: you never know it could be yours.
- 54:40Speaker 2: You heard a buckle up and hold on tight. We
- 54:42Speaker 2: got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject if I had a dollar for
- 54:47Speaker 1: each time?
- 54:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 54:50Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm forty seven years old and my
- 54:53Speaker 9: husband is seventy four. I used to work for him
- 54:56Speaker 9: and we became close over the years, but we never
- 54:58Speaker 9: had any romantic interest in each other. His wife passed
- 55:02Speaker 9: in twenty twenty one from pneumonia, and I was there
- 55:06Speaker 9: for him. I made sure he ate and took his medicine.
- 55:09Speaker 9: I got a few ladies from my church to assist
- 55:12Speaker 9: me with cleaning out his wife's closets so he could
- 55:14Speaker 9: move on. It was a process that took a full year.
- 55:18Speaker 9: He told me he was used to seeing me every day,
- 55:22Speaker 9: not just at work. He said he liked how I
- 55:24Speaker 9: took care of him, and he asked me to have sex.
- 55:28Speaker 1: He said it just like that.
- 55:30Speaker 9: After a few days of processing what he said, I
- 55:32Speaker 9: decided to let him have a little taste because I
- 55:35Speaker 9: felt like he needed it. After we made love, he
- 55:38Speaker 9: was hooked and he had to see me every day.
- 55:41Speaker 9: I told him he had to make an honest woman
- 55:43Speaker 9: out of me, because the rumors started to swirl around
- 55:46Speaker 9: the office. We got married, and it wasn't the romantic
- 55:49Speaker 9: wedding that I'd always dreamed about. He was financially stable
- 55:53Speaker 9: and he was great in bed for an old man.
- 55:56Speaker 9: The only thing I'm having trouble with is him calling
- 55:59Speaker 9: me his decease wife's name while we are having sex.
- 56:03Speaker 9: If I had a dollar for every time it has happened,
- 56:05Speaker 9: i'd be a millionaire. He loves to have sex, and
- 56:08Speaker 9: at his age, I'm shocked at how much stamina he has.
- 56:12Speaker 9: But every time he's about to finish, he says her name.
- 56:16Speaker 9: He told me that he tries to say my name,
- 56:18Speaker 9: but he can't help it. He said, it's hard to
- 56:22Speaker 9: erase thirty five years of memories. He's more comfortable taking
- 56:25Speaker 9: me out in public, and he's finally wearing his wedding ring,
- 56:28Speaker 9: so it's starting to feel real. Will my husband ever
- 56:32Speaker 9: love me? Or will this always be a marriage of
- 56:35Speaker 9: convenience to him? Well, he's seventy four and he's done
- 56:41Speaker 9: the same thing for so long, so I suppose there
- 56:43Speaker 9: is some truth to after thirty five years of marriage.
- 56:46Speaker 9: It's hard to stop calling you by his late wife's name.
- 56:49Speaker 1: It could happen.
- 56:50Speaker 9: It's a hard habit to break, he said, he tries
- 56:52Speaker 9: to say your name, but he can't help it. But
- 56:56Speaker 9: you know, he just needs to try harder. I'm sure
- 57:00Speaker 9: he wouldn't like it if you called him by your
- 57:01Speaker 9: ex's name, So you have a point there.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I'm with you on that one. Anyway.
- 57:06Speaker 9: He's also not the most sentimental man that you could
- 57:10Speaker 9: be with. You notice that when he so blatantly asked
- 57:13Speaker 9: you for sex when you were taking care of him
- 57:16Speaker 9: after his wife passed, he might still be grieving. It's
- 57:19Speaker 9: only been like a year, right you said, so he
- 57:23Speaker 9: you know, give him a little grace on this one.
- 57:25Speaker 9: Look at the positives. He's good in bed, he takes
- 57:28Speaker 9: care of you financially, which is probably one of the
- 57:30Speaker 9: reasons you married him anyway, and he's wearing his new
- 57:34Speaker 9: wedding ring and starting to take you out more. It
- 57:36Speaker 9: sounds like he's coming around, albeit slowly. He just needs
- 57:40Speaker 9: some time, Steve.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Wow, Well, Sheiry, why don't you just say you didn't
- 57:45Speaker 2: want to ask a letter today? You know, you know,
- 57:48Speaker 2: you know we could do that. You know you could
- 57:51Speaker 2: just take a day off, because I understood clearly by
- 57:54Speaker 2: listening to your answer, Sulty, you would not co me
- 58:00Speaker 2: it trying to help her at all. And you know
- 58:05Speaker 2: why you couldn't help her at all, Shirley, because in
- 58:08Speaker 2: this letter it has a lot of See, Shirley, you
- 58:11Speaker 2: don't like to confront women when they do something wrong.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Oh but you a tear dude.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Ass up.
- 58:21Speaker 2: But when you see women, well, Sureley, in this letter
- 58:25Speaker 2: right here, you didn't reprimand a woman, not one time.
- 58:30Speaker 2: And I just found it to be a letter full
- 58:32Speaker 2: that required some reprimands. So let me just show you
- 58:39Speaker 2: just a couple of things you might have overlooked in
- 58:42Speaker 2: your effort to just she'll know not not tell a
- 58:48Speaker 2: woman when she wrong. We have to do it both ways, surely.
- 58:52Speaker 2: That's why it's called the Strawberry Letter. Because Shirley would
- 58:56Speaker 2: always take the side of a woman ninety.
- 58:59Speaker 6: Seventy percent of the time.
- 59:01Speaker 9: And you always take the sight of the men unless
- 59:04Speaker 9: you can't find them a good damn right, because.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Because we have to have a balance.
- 59:11Speaker 2: Well, let's okay, here we go. I'm forty seven. My
- 59:15Speaker 2: husband is seventy four. See how cute that is. See
- 59:18Speaker 2: how the numbers is reversed. Yeah, forty seven seventy four
- 59:22Speaker 2: had a nice little ring to it, didn't Now how
- 59:26Speaker 2: much older is that for her? Twenty seven? Something like that.
- 59:33Speaker 2: I used to work for him. Now here we go. Now,
- 59:36Speaker 2: I used to work for him, but we became close
- 59:39Speaker 2: over the years. But I never had any romantic interests.
- 59:44Speaker 2: We never had any romantic interests in each other. That's
- 59:48Speaker 2: not true. I will show you why that that's not
- 59:51Speaker 2: a true statement. His wife passed in twenty twenty one
- 59:55Speaker 2: from NW Millia, and I was there for him. Okay.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I made sure he ate took his medicine, and I
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: got a few ladies from my church to assist me
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: with cleaning out his wife's closet so he could move on.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: It was a process that took a food four year.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: What who clause that you've been over cleaning out took
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: you a year to do it? Huh? Who who claws?
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: And you know take one year to clean out? She's stalling.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: She's stalling. Surely she wants a reason to go over there.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Surely it ain't take no year to clean out this moment.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Clause she said it did.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Surely that is not true. I'd have been in some
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: huge class. Surely don't take a year to move nobody
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: out of the damn house. All right, Oh we come back.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna go through this real quick.
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: I'm gonna of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 1:01:01Speaker 9: minutes after the hour today Strawberry letter, subject, if I
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: had a dollar for every time dot dot dot.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: hard morning show.
- 1:01:12Speaker 9: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: The subject is if I had a dollar for every time?
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Well, you know what, that's even funny too. I just
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: picked that up. If I had a dollar for every time.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Well we gonna find out a little bit later on
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: what she would do if she had a dollar every
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: time something happened. But this is a money call right here.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: This is a woman right here who took advantage of
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: a situation and surely didn't want to say it, but
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: here I did. She's forty seven. She married a woman
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: a man. That's seventy four. You take forty seventy, flip
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: it over, that's seventy four. I used to work for him.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: We became close over the years, but we never had
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: any romantic interest. Y'all came close over the years, but
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: you didn't have what was you getting close? Fault? What
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: was you getting close for? But we never had any
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: When a man gets close to you, you don't think that.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Girls stop. Then his wife passed away in twenty twenty
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: one from pneumonia, and I was there for him immediately.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: I'm talking about immediately soon as she passed. I made
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: sure he ate it, took his medicine. I got a
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: few ladies from my church to assist because if some
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: things she didn't know how to do, and to assist
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: you with cleaning out his wife's closet so he could
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: move on. It was a process that took a full year. Lady,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Stop you turned this into a process to take a
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: year so you could dig your heels in. It does
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: not take a year to clean out nobody closet. You
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: can move out of a mansion in less than a year.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Stop it. He told me he was used to seeing
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: me every day. Yeah, because you're over there cleaning the
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I taken a damn year. What was you taking over?
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a shoe out today. I'm gonna take
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: one brawl out. Tomorrow. I'm gonna come back and get
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: that other shoe next week, girl, buy it. I'm gonna
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: take one pair of panty holes out. Well, let me
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: go now, this week is panty week. I'm gonna take
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: a pair of panties out each week. She over there
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: trying to see you every day. And then he said,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: and then he got used to seeing me every day,
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: not just to work. He said he liked the way
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I took care of him, and then he asked me
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: for sex. Hell yeah, girl, I should like the way
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: you cook and like the way you clean that up,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: and I like the way you put them dishes in
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: that dishwash. I should like the way you wipe out
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: that toilet. Girl, you wanna hair six? And then guess
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: what she said, Yeah, he said after that a few
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: days and then I was just like what. And then
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: after a few days of process of what he said,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: it always take her a long time to do something.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: She took a year to clean out that damn closet.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Now he asked for sex. That she did a few
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: days to process that. But guess what she came back
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: and said, I'm gonna let him have a little taste
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: because I felt like he needed it. I bet you did.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: I bet you did. Yeah, he needed and you did too.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: You've been over there a year trying to get it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Why don't you put yourself in this lattitude? Anyway? So
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I told him we had sex every day. He had
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: to see me every day after that, and then I
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: told him he had to make an honest woman out
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: of me because the rumors started to swirl around the office. Oh,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: they wasn't just swirling at the office. They were swirling
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: down at the office, down at the church. Everything. We
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: got married, and it wasn't the romantic wind that I
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: always dreamed about. He was financially stable, of course he was.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: That's why you wanted his old ass, because he was
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: financially stable. Stop lady. He was great in bed for
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: an old man. The only thing I'm having trouble with
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: is him calling me he deceased wife's name while we
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: having sex. If I had a dollar every time this happened,
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: i'd be a millionaire. Well that's what you made him for, anyway,
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: But you can't get a dollar for every time he
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: called you or his name, O gree gool goet you true,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: good true Dudel and me, come on, good good truth,
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: got truth? Got you name? It's an old lass name.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: What's his name anyway? Othello? When they when they went
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: out somewhere, they used to call him O g. But
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: every time he's about to finish, he says her name.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: He told me he tries to say my name, but
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: he can't help it. This Hardy Race, thirty five years
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: of memories.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: It is.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: He's more comfortable taking me out in public. He's finally
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: wearing his wedding ring. I'm starting and it so it's
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: starting to feel real. Well, my husband never loved me?
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Or am I always be a marriage or convenience to him? Well?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: You think you a marriage or convenience to him, but
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: didn't you marry him for convenience? He's financially stable, he
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: owned the company you worked at. So now will I
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: ever stop being a marriage or convenience for him? Well?
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Ain't he a marriage or convenience for you? You getting
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: married for the reason and now you're living in it.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: It's okay, and he gonna keep calling you her name.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: You can leave your comments on today Strawberry Letter, change.

- 1:07:31Speaker 1: What you got junior?
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: All right, Shirley, Well, first of all, let's just go
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: ahead and say bye to the Paces. They got swept
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: by the Celtics all Memorial Day one oh five to
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: one oh two. Jalen Brown received the Eastern Conference MVP.
- 1:07:43Speaker 8: Jalen Brown. Congratulations. They move on to the NBA Finals.
- 1:07:47Speaker 6: But last night man was interested Man. They did not
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: get a sweep.
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: In Dallas, the Timberwolves pulled out one oh five to
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: one hundred, sending a series to three one. Nobody has
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: ever come back and one of five a series down
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: three to nothing, now they three to one. They gotta
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: do it three more times to get to the NBA Finals.
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: I don't know if they can do that.
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: It ain't never been done.
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: But Anthony Edwards show believe he can't because he is.
- 1:08:13Speaker 8: He told me, he said, man, I'm not gonna sit
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: up here and say I won a game. I'm gonna
- 1:08:17Speaker 8: lose game five. I'll never say that. But Michael Parsons
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: told him that that's it. They're not coming back down
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: to doubt. So he said he wear a signed fourteen shoe. Well,
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: I'll be back and I'm gonna bring you them shoes
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: from that game. So we're gonna see what happens tomorrow
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: night in Minnesota's they go home, man. But last night,
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: welcome to the party called Anthony Towns Man. He was
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: shooting so horrible up in the playoffs.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: He finally woke up. Was four from five from Downtown.
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: They had twenty five points and then Edwards led all
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: scores with twenty nine and uh man, Luca and Kyrie.
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: They just didn't get it done last night. So we
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: got to see what happens.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: I got a feeling, man, it's gonna be a serious
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: You think this can go seven now.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: No, I've seen nothing that says to me this will
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: go to seven games and this is over over the
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: next one.
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: We can we can go ahead, just go here. Put
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: Dallas and Boston in this whole thing. The next one
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: will end tomorrow night. Everybody going on vacation.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: If you said Minnesota gonna lose, yeah.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Tomorrow, Yeah, where they play at that journey.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: They pay in Minnesota, they're gonna end.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: All that.
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: They still gonna lose this game.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: But I mean, it's I mean, I appreciate Bravado. I
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: mean I expect him to say nothing else. I mean,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I don't expect to hear no guy, go well, we
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: down three. That's pretty much it. I expect them to
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: say exactly what they said. But then I'm just telling you, well,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: from what I've seen, if Dallas come to play, and
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: if Minnesota come to play, Dallas has an edge down
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: towards the end. Worked out for him last night. It's cool.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I mean, I said, I got no skin in the game.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: But you know, I mean, if I had to, if
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: I'm pulling for a team, I'm pulling for a map.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: You can believe that best believed. Ain't no doubt Kyrie
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: is everything right now, and so it is Dunk. But
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: but but them young but them young big boys on Dallas.
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: No, they for real, man, Yeah, them.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Young boys down on that paint line. They for real,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: they for real, they're skinny when they got knocked out
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: the other day.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: There you go, all right, Junior, Thank you, thank you.
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: Steve.
- 1:10:33Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, did a
- 1:10:35Speaker 9: man set up his girlfriend just to have an excuse
- 1:10:38Speaker 9: to break up with her? The girlfriend is asking for
- 1:10:40Speaker 9: advice Steve on how to keep him. We'll get into
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: it right after this.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: You're listening morning show, all right, So Steve, this one
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is from Hannah in Culver City.
- 1:10:53Speaker 9: Hannah says, I'm basically homeless because my boyfriend set me
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: up and had his brother come to our house and
- 1:10:59Speaker 9: wait for him to get home. He was watching our
- 1:11:02Speaker 9: interactions on our cameras and I had a bralat and
- 1:11:05Speaker 9: biker shorts. That's what I had on, which I always
- 1:11:08Speaker 9: wear in public.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: And to the gym.
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: I made his brother an omelet and we ate. His
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: brother said he can tell I've been working on my thighs,
- 1:11:16Speaker 9: and I said that I love leg day.
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: That's it.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Then my boyfriend walked in.
- 1:11:22Speaker 9: He told me to He took me to the back
- 1:11:26Speaker 9: to tell me he was watching our interactions and I
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: was inappropriate. Did he do this just to break up
- 1:11:32Speaker 9: with me. He asked me to move out, but I
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: have nowhere to go. How do I explain to him
- 1:11:36Speaker 9: that it was nothing?
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: This was a setup. This is all he wanted. I mean, cause,
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: first of all, let me tell you something. If he
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: had a real problem, he'd have a problem with his brother. Yo, man,
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: what's so you notice, my girl? But his brother wasn't inappropriate.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: His brother wasn't inappropriate at all. You know. Now, if
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: the brother said, you know, I can tell you've been
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: working on your thighs now, it depends on how his
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: brother said it. But if he now, let me ask
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: you a question. On these cameras, you can't hear words,
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Katie either way. Either way, lady, he set you up
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: and he looking for easy out. You ain't got nowhere
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: to go. Go to your mama house, go to one
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: of your friend's house. But I think this is this
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: is gonna lead to some other stuff, because he got
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: some suspicions for some reason, maybe jealous that you're going
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: down to the gym and all this head and he
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: thank you and got you fine for him.
- 1:12:38Speaker 9: I don't know, I don't know, Okay, all right, So
- 1:12:44Speaker 9: she's trying to explain to him that nothing was wrong.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: But the yeare we got up, but he saw the video.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Though he's over it.
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: All right, We have time for another one, Steve. This
- 1:12:56Speaker 9: is from Dion and Philly. Dion says, I told my
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: aunt that I to mess with the man that she's marrying,
- 1:13:02Speaker 9: and she told me that everyone has a past. I
- 1:13:05Speaker 9: told her I could have sex with him again if
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: I wanted to, and she said that she doesn't put
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: anything past the man. My aunt is only fifty eight
- 1:13:13Speaker 9: years old, and I think she is settling for this
- 1:13:15Speaker 9: man because she's afraid of being alone. Why would she
- 1:13:18Speaker 9: marry this man? Should I step aside and let her
- 1:13:20Speaker 9: do it?
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Why is you in this?
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: Wow?
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Yeah? What did you turn all this hipfo? And I
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: slept with him? Yeah? Everybody and everybody does have a past.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: I could sleep with him again. Well, I don't put
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: nothing past me, you know, But then you know, maybe
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: you can't sleep with him again. You never know what's
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: wrong with you though? Should I step aside? Why is
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: she marry this man?
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: You mad because he ain't want to marry you. Oh okay,
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: you passed out the cookie and got nothing. She passed
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: out the cookie. She getting wedding. That's what you see
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: is right here. Next question, Shirley, And this is her aunt.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: This is her aunt, who she says is only fifty eight,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: and she believes she's settling.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Wow, ooh what kind of family members people got?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I know, this is your aunt, straight shade.
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: I'll go on.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Your auntie, don't come on.
- 1:14:28Speaker 9: But but in her mind, in the niece's mind, dion's mind,
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: she's thinking she's helping her aunt.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: That's the thing, you know. Yeah, by telling her.
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: It's too much.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: How is that you're not helping? Okay, family niece and aunt. Yeah,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: come on, this is Auntie. Don't do that to Auntie.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: You don't do that. Well, here's a deal, Auntie fifty eight,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Auntie still fine. Yeah, little niece hate I slept with
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: him me and got a pass. I could sleep with
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: him again. Auntie said, bet your cake. And that's probably
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: what it is. You got nothing And now the aunt
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: got proposed to.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Hang exactly all right?
- 1:15:27Speaker 9: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve,

- 1:16:00Speaker 2: was pledging. All these boys we know each other. Well,
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: this year marks for the majority of us, well some
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: of them have known each other longer, but for me,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: this is our fiftieth year of friendship. Wow. Wow, I
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: met every last one of these dudes in nineteen seventy folk,
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: that's amazing. Wow, this year marks fifty years of friendship.
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: One of my one of the Cus that's here, this
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: marks sixty three years. Wow, it's been Enrico sixty three years.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: And down here there is a lot of profanity, a
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: lot of hard laughs, shocking statements. Oh cigars isnt continuously
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: from sunrise to sunset, and that it's two bar attenders.
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: That's all. I, that's all.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: I don't you know why you need two bar attenders
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: for twelve people?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: All right, Well, you got it's fun ball out all week,

- 1:17:19Speaker 1: After this you're listening morning show.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: It's time now for a round it. Would you rather?
- 1:17:26Speaker 9: Would you rather be rich with bad body odor? Or
- 1:17:30Speaker 9: would you rather have a decent income and smell grape?
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Don't give me a bunk and rich? That's it pretty much.
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: Somebody smell it must be the money.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Okay. I knew, I knew you would struggle with this
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: one though, Tommy.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Dog, And when I walk in the room, my theme
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: song deep, You're going to be a funky good time today.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: It's going to be a funky every time I walk it.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: You come a step.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I'm telling me, was still waiting.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: I'm going with being I just can't do it. Decent income, great, y'all,
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: y'all over there, y'all funky and won't buy no d

- 1:18:31Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: But I can though I could buy the company, not
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: that you buy an old spot.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: All right? Yeah, you over that shop, you'll you'll you're
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: over that clean and fresh watching me and Julia's shop

- 1:18:51Speaker 1: All right, here's another one.
- 1:18:53Speaker 9: Would you rather wear a maga hat or would you
- 1:18:57Speaker 9: rather wear matching out with your ex?
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: I ain't wearing that maga han No, no, My I
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: rarely go with the X, but this time I got to.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: I'm not weighing that maga han. Okay?
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: All right, all right, twins, no, no, no, and.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Be nowhere near her. We just got it on on
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: the other side of the Democrat Convention, yep, making making
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: making America miserable? All right?
- 1:19:39Speaker 9: Would you rather go yachting with your co workers? Or
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: would you rather fly private with five pit bulls? Which
- 1:19:47Speaker 9: one I'm going? Would you rather go yachting with.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Your co workers? We've done that before? Or would you
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: rather fly private with five pit bulls? Which one.
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: I'm going? Yachting with? Ya?
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Y'all ain't good at the hesitation though, ya. It's not
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: like we haven't been on boats together before.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: Man, last time we was on a boat, one of
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Shirley friends. All y'all in through the bathroom and everything. Man,
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: it was crazy.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: That was not a yacht, that was boat.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Different wa on top of it? All right?
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Would you rather? All right? That's all our time, that's
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: all our time.
- 1:20:36Speaker 9: That's today's round of which you're rather coming up next
- 1:20:38Speaker 9: to our last break of the day.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: And we'll close out the show with the one and
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey right after this, you're listening morning show.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the day.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: This is going to be a short week for us.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: Good day today, and Steve, you have.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: You know, my clothes remarks, and this is kind of
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: about what I'm mixed in this week. It's the thing
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: about friendship. You know, people who don't know me have
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: assessed me so differently over the years. I've read things
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: about myself. I've read accusations about me, my family, everything.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: You know that social media can be just a jogging
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: not of foolishness, and I've really I've gotten accustomed to
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: it now. It used to bother me a bit, but
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: it doesn't anymore. It just really really doesn't. I'm so
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: above it now and I thank God for that realization.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: One of the things that I've held fast to over
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: my years is the genuineness of friendship. It's such an
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: important thing, man, you know, people always ask me that
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: better so, who are your celebrity friends? You know that
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: list is so so short. I mean it's so so short.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: I mean, really it's alarmingly short. They don't fit on
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: three four fingers, not even. But you know, over the years. Man,
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: I've remained close to a group of guys that I
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: met in college. You know, you know, it all started
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: because we had a similar bond simply because we you know,
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: we were all college students. We were just young men.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: I was seventeen when I went to college. Some of
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: these cats was older. Some of them were there before
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: I got there. But you know, the common bond you meet.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: Some of your greatest friendships come from college because you
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: meet people after you left high school that you really
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: bond with for whatever reasons, mostly because you all share
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: a common interest of trying to better yourself. I've been
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: very fortunate and that I've been able to hang on
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: to some of those relationships. The appeal for me is
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: there's a group of men that knew me before I
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: was any of this, that they treated me any differently.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: Now we have a special bond because we all pledge
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: the same fraternity. We're all members of the same fraternity,
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: and the selection process back then will shall we just
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: say different, and so we share that bond. But the
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: genuineness of it is what's really appealing to me. And
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: thing I've learned about friendship is not a matter of
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: what you have it's what you give. And friendship for
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: me has been in exchange. It has provided me a
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: level of comfort. If you can find somebody that you
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: can tell anything to and not be judged by it,
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: you're getting there. If you have somebody that you can
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: go to with any problem and without any hesitation or
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: form of judgment, will assist you. If you have somebody
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: who will stand with you in the middle of a battle,
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: put his back up against your back and just start
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: swinging and we'll discuss what happened later, you have something.
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: And that's what I've discovered in a group of men.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: And it's sort of crazy, man, because they get together
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: a lot more often because you know, they live in
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: Cleveland or they live in Ohio and they so they
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: get together, they go to district meetings and everything. I'm
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: not afforded that luxury because I live away and I
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: do a lot of traveling. So they see each other
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: a little bit more frequently. Man. I see pictures of them. Man,
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: it always makes me smile. But once a year we
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: have a gathering and it's like and it's like we
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: never stopped. Do you have friends that you don't you
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: that you don't have to see all the time. But
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: when you see them, y'all just automatically good. You pick
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: right up where you left off. Because don't you hate
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: those people in your life? Where? Man, you ain't call me,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: ain't heard from you when you gon't. I thought we
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: was better than that. How come you ain't really y'all? Come,
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: you ain't calling me because we not dating? Damn dog,
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: That's why I ain't called you because you ain't my wife.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: I didn't call you man because I was busy. I
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: didn't call you now because now I have grandkids. You
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: got grandkids, You got a wife, you got a business,
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: you running, you got stuff you doing. We ain't got
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: time to talk all the time. But can we just
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: get back to where we was? And if you have
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: people man that don't do that right there, they're not
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: really your friends. See, I don't like friends of convenience.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: I don't like friends who my friends. When they need
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: they they picked up. I want a friend, man, that's
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: my friend, no matter what happened. When I fall on
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: hard times, man, they there when it's going good day there,
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: when they crying about something, they there. If I'm crying
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: about something, they there. That's what it is. And that's
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: what it is, man. It's an important thing, man, And
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: just to take a moment man to uh, I probably
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: shouldn't now, but I can't help it. You know this,
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: this group of men are members of O Make a
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: south Fire fraternity, right, and it's the only fraternity that
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: is built on the principle of friendship. All the other
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: fraternities and I bow down to them. I mean, I
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: give them all the ultimate respect. They're built on brotherhood.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Afi A was first. Then you got the nowps Ka side,
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: you got Phive Beta Sigma, and you got the the
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: group the Eyeholders. You know, I don't wanna leave them
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: out cause I be hearing from them all the time.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: But what whatever you in, it's it's built on brotherhood.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: And I command that. Well. Make a south Fire is
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: built on friendship. It's a different thing.
- 1:26:50Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: The Bible speaks about friendship. A friend can be closer
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: than even a brother. And I found that in a
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: group of men, and I'm grateful for it. And friendship
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: is one thing for show. It's essential for the soul.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Friendship is essential to the soul. You can live without
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: your mother, you can live without your brother, you can
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: make it without your father, as many of us have
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: found out. But you can't live in this world without
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: a friend, period. You cannot live in this world without
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: a friend. I think we got this one right. Those
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: are my closed remarks today. If you didn't get anything
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: out of it, be here tomorrow. We'll try it again.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: Talk to God today. Love to hear from you, okay.
