- 1:06Speaker 3: You love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You turn turn?
- 1:31Speaker 7: I can't.

- 1:43Speaker 6: I probably got to turn mouth out turn then a.
- 1:49Speaker 9: Look, come on, come on, you'll think that, Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 9: I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 2: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 2: a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man? How good
- 2:14Speaker 2: is God to me? And part of the mission and
- 2:17Speaker 2: the reason that I have a radio show is to
- 2:21Speaker 2: become a share of more and more of a share
- 2:24Speaker 2: of you know. I used to hear my mother say
- 2:27Speaker 2: it to me all the time, But God blesses you
- 2:29Speaker 2: to become a blessing. And I think the more you
- 2:32Speaker 2: understand that about yourself, I think the more blessings will
- 2:35Speaker 2: flow your way. I think that once you understand the
- 2:38Speaker 2: principle that.
- 2:41Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:42Speaker 2: But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures,
- 2:44Speaker 2: and I'm not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
- 2:48Speaker 2: but I do know what I've heard, you know, and
- 2:51Speaker 2: you know if you look at something simple as do
- 2:53Speaker 2: unto others as you would have them do unto you,
- 2:57Speaker 2: wouldn't you want somebody to help you if you needed help.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:03Speaker 2: where I've been able to understand it. If if there's
- 3:08Speaker 2: a scripture similar that it says do unto others as
- 3:11Speaker 2: you would have them do unto you, or if that's
- 3:16Speaker 2: you know, in a prayer, would not you want somebody
- 3:20Speaker 2: to help you if you needed help? You've heard you
- 3:26Speaker 2: reap what you sow? Do you understand that if you
- 3:31Speaker 2: so discord, that discord is gonna come your way. That
- 3:36Speaker 2: if you hate, hate gonna come your way. If you
- 3:39Speaker 2: blog nothing but negative comments about people, your life will
- 3:43Speaker 2: be filled with negativity. If all you do is talk
- 3:47Speaker 2: about people, then guess what somebody got to turn that
- 3:50Speaker 2: gun around and talk about you. See, it just stands
- 3:55Speaker 2: to reason. So what I've learned in my life and
- 3:58Speaker 2: through all the trial and tribulations that I've had, is
- 4:02Speaker 2: to take those lessons and share them with people in
- 4:06Speaker 2: case you ain't heard it from somebody else. See sometimes
- 4:10Speaker 2: and the reason it seems like I'm redundant, at times,
- 4:14Speaker 2: is what I am is because I'm always trying to
- 4:17Speaker 2: find a different way to say the same thing. Because
- 4:20Speaker 2: it's a funny thing. Man, you got to hear it
- 4:23Speaker 2: a certain way for it to click with you. How
- 4:27Speaker 2: many times have I heard a saying and then I
- 4:32Speaker 2: heard it a different way that it clicked with me.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You know, I've heard of this saying right here, Remember
- 4:41Speaker 2: this now, everybody's not happy for you. We've all heard that,
- 4:44Speaker 2: right everybody's not happy for you. Well, that's very simple.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I don't need no explanation. That simply means of all
- 4:54Speaker 2: the people you know or do not know, when something
- 4:57Speaker 2: happens to you and you celebrating it, everybody not gonna
- 5:01Speaker 2: join in on the celebration. That's all that is. But
- 5:05Speaker 2: then you take it one step further. My father used
- 5:08Speaker 2: to say something to me all the time. He says, son,
- 5:10Speaker 2: everybody come with you can't go with you. I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 2: get that when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you
- 5:15Speaker 2: can't go with you. He said, you're gonna lose some
- 5:17Speaker 2: of these friends you got along the way. But I
- 5:20Speaker 2: don't care where you get in life. Know this right here,
- 5:25Speaker 2: everybody can't go with you if you are constantly trying
- 5:28Speaker 2: to improve yourself. You constantly have to take assessment of
- 5:31Speaker 2: the people around you. Because if you are going to
- 5:35Speaker 2: continue to go and continue to grow, then guess what
- 5:38Speaker 2: you got to have people that's on the goal and
- 5:41Speaker 2: willing to grow, or else, guess what you're gonna learn
- 5:47Speaker 2: the valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I was talking with Butcher Lewis one time, and man
- 5:54Speaker 2: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man
- 5:59Speaker 2: is doing what I call he got rope work to do.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:05Speaker 2: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:08Speaker 2: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:11Speaker 2: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:13Speaker 2: the moves he was making. And he's an incredible skills
- 6:16Speaker 2: as a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:20Speaker 2: He was just an amazing man with no education, but
- 6:24Speaker 2: he read everything. He Butch Lewis read all the papers,
- 6:27Speaker 2: all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said, you
- 6:31Speaker 2: got to put in rope. And I was sitting there listening.
- 6:34Speaker 2: He said, here's the analogy, little brother. He said, you
- 6:38Speaker 2: are on rope. There's a thick rope. You have on
- 6:42Speaker 2: no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes. You have
- 6:46Speaker 2: on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off just below
- 6:49Speaker 2: the knee, and they tatted, and you got dirt on
- 6:52Speaker 2: you and your sweating. There's this huge, huge raw rope
- 6:56Speaker 2: over your shoulder. There's burn marks on all of your shoes.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Connected to that rope is a wagon. That wagon has
- 7:05Speaker 2: all your weight on it, all your responsibilities, all the
- 7:09Speaker 2: people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife, your
- 7:13Speaker 2: family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They are
- 7:19Speaker 2: all on that wagon.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Man.
- 7:21Speaker 2: They just sitting there. He's saying, what you gotta do
- 7:24Speaker 2: is you gotta pull that wagon up the heel. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 2: only thing with it is can't nobody help you pull
- 7:29Speaker 2: your wagon? You pull your wagon alone. He say. Now,
- 7:34Speaker 2: what you can do along the way of pulling your
- 7:36Speaker 2: wagon is you can find yourself a good wife, a
- 7:40Speaker 2: good woman. He say, Now, what that woman does is
- 7:42Speaker 2: she get down off the wagon. She fan you while
- 7:45Speaker 2: you pull it. She put water on you while you
- 7:48Speaker 2: pull it. She puts stuff in your mouth while you
- 7:50Speaker 2: pull it. She kicked rocks out the weight while you
- 7:53Speaker 2: pull it. But she but she pull it for you.
- 7:56Speaker 2: But she is equally as important as you are on
- 7:59Speaker 2: the pull of the He say, you hear me clearly now,
- 8:01Speaker 2: young soldier. He said, nah, I got this here, he says,
- 8:05Speaker 2: people on your wagon that you're responsible for. But you
- 8:08Speaker 2: want the people on your wagon to help you get
- 8:11Speaker 2: your wagon to the top. So what you hope is
- 8:14Speaker 2: that they got their foot hanging over the side pushing,
- 8:18Speaker 2: They got one leg over the back, or maybe both
- 8:21Speaker 2: legs over the back pushing. They got they might have
- 8:23Speaker 2: they butt on the wagon, but they push you with
- 8:25Speaker 2: both legs. They back facing your back, maybe some of
- 8:29Speaker 2: them facing you when one of them got left leg
- 8:31Speaker 2: hanging over trying to push. And you hope that all
- 8:34Speaker 2: them people on the wagon you pulling is back there
- 8:37Speaker 2: at least trying to help the wagon get to the
- 8:39Speaker 2: top of the hill. Here go your problem. Though everybody
- 8:42Speaker 2: ain't pushing, Everybody ain't pulling. Ain't everybody ain't pulling, Everybody
- 8:47Speaker 2: ain't kicking rocks out the way. You got some people
- 8:50Speaker 2: on your wagon that's just laying on the wagon, draking lemonade,
- 8:54Speaker 2: looking at you, talking about how long it's taking you
- 8:57Speaker 2: to get your wagon up to the top at you
- 9:00Speaker 2: talking about why this wagon is so slow. Then when
- 9:03Speaker 2: you start picking up picking up speed, they want you
- 9:06Speaker 2: to pull harder, you to pull faster, you to pull more.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Then they want you to throw what you then earned
- 9:12Speaker 2: on the way up the hill backed on the wagon
- 9:14Speaker 2: so they can have MO. But guess what, they ain't
- 9:16Speaker 2: helping you get more. But they got a sense of
- 9:19Speaker 2: entitlement that since you got MO, they should have MO.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Everybody come with you can't go with you. Sometimes you
- 9:26Speaker 2: gotta kick the people off the wagon that ain't pushing
- 9:29Speaker 2: and pull it and say, hey, man, I'm sorry. I
- 9:32Speaker 2: thought I could do this with you, and I thought
- 9:34Speaker 2: you was going with me. But it's clear to me
- 9:36Speaker 2: you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't my
- 9:38Speaker 2: responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried you
- 9:42Speaker 2: as long as I have to carry you. You are
- 9:45Speaker 2: no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family, my wife,
- 9:49Speaker 2: my children. I'm not responsible for you. You got to
- 9:52Speaker 2: get off my wagon because I'm a man on rope.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'm on a mission, baby, I'm pulling.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.

- 11:54Speaker 1: You just you spent on women?
- 11:56Speaker 2: Well, some women. That'd be last time you mayble ask

- 12:22Speaker 2: you will spend in your life as a man will
- 12:25Speaker 2: be spent on the female species. Listen to me, if
- 12:31Speaker 2: you are a hetero sexual man, the majority of the
- 12:37Speaker 2: money you will spend in your life will be on
- 12:40Speaker 2: the female species. It has been worth every damn dollar
- 12:48Speaker 2: telling you it has been money well spent. I've got
- 12:53Speaker 2: a lot of trouble with it, but Lord have mercy.
- 12:56Speaker 2: The rewards have been overwhelmingly in a woman's It is
- 13:01Speaker 2: a man's job to do that. I wish young man
- 13:04Speaker 2: could get this, And I don't know how to tell

- 15:08Speaker 5: Yes.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Here, as grateful as we are, we find ourselves on
- 15:13Speaker 2: this Monday, gathered again for the most ungrateful congregation oder today.
- 15:20Speaker 2: That's right, the jack pot joined the Jerusalem Congregation always
- 15:27Speaker 2: got some complaints. Here is come on starting to staying
- 15:33Speaker 2: out past. It's just a.
- 15:35Speaker 13: Judesa and Middleton. I shouted too loud yesterday. And one
- 15:40Speaker 13: of the ushers, brother Raymond Lockhart, once somebody told him
- 15:46Speaker 13: to try to quieten her down. He plucked some flexa
- 15:48Speaker 13: seal over her mouth to quieting her, that flex and
- 15:52Speaker 13: seal tape that you see on the commercial.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And she is highly upset and it took forever to.
- 15:58Speaker 13: Get it off, and her lips is really so and
- 16:00Speaker 13: her cheeks heels too past. He slapped up some flex
- 16:03Speaker 13: and steal over her mouth to quieting her down.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Well, a lot of male members have asked about this,
- 16:14Speaker 2: what do you call it?
- 16:15Speaker 13: Flexa seal? You know the stuff that that stopped the
- 16:18Speaker 13: water from coming through the boat.
- 16:20Speaker 2: You know you've seen it on that A lot of
- 16:21Speaker 2: men that WoT that recipe at they house. Can you
- 16:27Speaker 2: let us know what that is exactly and how much
- 16:30Speaker 2: it is? But we're gonna start selling it at your church.
- 16:35Speaker 2: A lot of wives have asked for it too, so
- 16:40Speaker 2: it could be a top seller and go all the
- 16:42Speaker 2: money proceeds will go towards the building for it. I
- 16:47Speaker 2: will make her know that that pastor.
- 16:51Speaker 13: Moving along, Now we got to issue here passed the
- 16:54Speaker 13: brother Amos O'Neill, who has a hump in his back,
- 16:57Speaker 13: is one of the wise men into the tippy this scene.
- 17:01Speaker 13: He is sitting on one of the cameras. Now, that's
- 17:04Speaker 13: a lot of humps in one scene. Past and the
- 17:07Speaker 13: children are confused.
- 17:08Speaker 2: What should we do? Well, we must explain to the
- 17:16Speaker 2: children that as a Nativity scene, that is where the
- 17:22Speaker 2: beginning was come as you are right, just tell the
- 17:27Speaker 2: children that is too. Wise man and four cameras roll
- 17:37Speaker 2: for that. Well, you're gonna have to explain brother Amos
- 17:42Speaker 2: O'Neill's hump to him. Past. I think that's the brother
- 17:45Speaker 2: as is also starring in our Halloween play The hunch
- 17:50Speaker 2: Back or Notre Dame. All right, they're still gonna be
- 17:58Speaker 2: confusing for the year. So the Santa Claus foot stool
- 18:02Speaker 2: at the mall, a lot of keys climbs on his
- 18:06Speaker 2: back to get up on Santa claus lap. We used
- 18:11Speaker 2: that hump every way we changed.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yes we have, yes, we have all right.
- 18:16Speaker 13: I hope this doesn't offend Brother Jay Anthony past the
- 18:21Speaker 13: big guy, the yard bro lost both big toes due
- 18:24Speaker 13: to diabetes. He's asking that the church get him some
- 18:28Speaker 13: sandals made that the material would come between his third
- 18:32Speaker 13: and fourth toe so he can balance better, but especially made.
- 18:37Speaker 13: Sanders are three hundred and fifty hours the past. So
- 18:39Speaker 13: that's gonna be your call.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Pass. I was thinking about this over the weekend.
- 18:46Speaker 5: He had.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I ran up into him, but he didn't run after
- 18:51Speaker 2: show the toes anyway, that's the truth. I ran up
- 18:57Speaker 2: into him at the Dallas Shoe House. Really, I was
- 19:04Speaker 2: down there house for the girls, the new girls at
- 19:14Speaker 2: the laces. Read up into him, and what I had
- 19:23Speaker 2: suggested to him was by the regular flip flops and
- 19:29Speaker 2: put them on the wrong.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Foot m.
- 19:40Speaker 2: And put them on the rope to make it through
- 19:43Speaker 2: that third and fourth top.
- 19:47Speaker 8: Yeah you think.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Now that were created to move them.
- 19:54Speaker 13: We are taking ministry Christmas photos, this coming wing ministry
- 19:59Speaker 13: Christmas photos, this coming with different ministries, for different ministries.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Pastor, you're gonna have to step in.
- 20:05Speaker 13: You're gonna have to tell all of our ex cons
- 20:08Speaker 13: that they are not a ministry and will not be
- 20:11Speaker 13: taking pictures.
- 20:13Speaker 14: Uh.
- 20:13Speaker 13: No one has stepped to say anything to them yet
- 20:15Speaker 13: because they're scared, especially the one they call Killer J.
- 20:19Speaker 13: He's the one that runs the group. But somebody need
- 20:22Speaker 13: to tell Killer J that they are not a ministry.
- 20:30Speaker 2: But because we don't want no problem. But the reception
- 20:34Speaker 2: is none of them can kneel while taking the photo. Now,
- 20:38Speaker 2: we ain't gonna have to take no photo. Yeah, they
- 20:41Speaker 2: don't want to kneel anything. Everybody wants to take that
- 20:43Speaker 2: prison shot.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That squat that's what is that? The squad?
- 20:48Speaker 2: What's that? That's that photo that all inmates. So they
- 21:00Speaker 2: can't do we have to let them, let them take
- 21:02Speaker 2: the picture. Well, well we're gonna have to. Who's gonna
- 21:05Speaker 2: go in there and tell me the Kate dere all right,
- 21:12Speaker 2: take the picture? Killing J can take it all right? Yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 2: you cain't run at church if you're not help you
- 21:20Speaker 2: pastor from the grave.

- 22:28Speaker 2: Well, see, you're co parenting, so you're running up into
- 22:32Speaker 2: that situation that I used to run up into all
- 22:34Speaker 2: the time. What it's the one parent wants to be
- 22:37Speaker 2: the Disney parent, you know, when you do something punishment,
- 22:41Speaker 2: they come over here and it's Disney all the time,

- 23:31Speaker 2: happen no more. But it was in my house. And
- 23:34Speaker 2: call who you want to call. Yeah, you go ask
- 23:38Speaker 2: him how many times I whooped his ass? He'll tell
- 23:40Speaker 2: you when he will tell you. Broducer will tell you,
- 23:43Speaker 2: and Jason will tell you. My daddy beat my ass
- 23:46Speaker 2: every time he promised us for You go in there
- 23:48Speaker 2: and talk to him about them good dudes right there.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah they are. They really are.

- 24:09Speaker 11: and my parents came to town and visited our church
- 24:12Speaker 11: you're gonna love this with Steve. I didn't expect my
- 24:15Speaker 11: dad to burst out laughing during the performance, because you
- 24:22Speaker 11: know you don't like praise dance.
- 24:24Speaker 1: How do I get my dad to apologize? And how
- 24:27Speaker 1: could he be so rude?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Hey, your daddy ain't apologizing and your daddy ain't got
- 24:31Speaker 2: to apologize. I have said it, good soul, and I'm
- 24:34Speaker 2: gonna say it again. I don't know why we have
- 24:36Speaker 2: praise dance team. These are all people. Look at it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: They all way overweight. They overweight, and they ain't make
- 24:43Speaker 2: the gymnastic squads. They didn't make it. They didn't make

- 25:45Speaker 2: money in and say right, and he failed for the
- 25:48Speaker 2: trucking money in the trade. He just dropped what taste.
- 25:52Speaker 2: I couldn't breathe. Yeah, now, I didn't know if he
- 25:57Speaker 2: had had a heart attack or nothing, but the fact
- 25:59Speaker 2: that he disappeared in front of that put just dropped off.
- 26:05Speaker 2: But he tried to catch yourself and turned the money
- 26:07Speaker 2: tray over. Long man, all right, I was hollering about
- 26:16Speaker 2: that time Reggie. Reggie was walking up the steps with
- 26:20Speaker 2: his cry robo and Paul Walker stepped on the back
- 26:23Speaker 2: of it and tore a hole in it.
- 26:24Speaker 11: Oh man, come on, flesche and Kenosha says, I've been
- 26:31Speaker 11: married twice and my seven year old son asked me
- 26:33Speaker 11: not to get married again, and he doesn't want my
- 26:36Speaker 11: boyfriend to sleep over at the house. Do I explain
- 26:39Speaker 11: to my son that mommy's life has to go on,
- 26:42Speaker 11: or do I keep my man away for now?
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, your baby? What does all these people keep
- 26:52Speaker 2: coming up in here, this rolling there and this revolving.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Don't ain't nobody staying what? You don't need to do this, no, mama, Mama,
- 27:01Speaker 2: you don't need to get mad no more. And stop
- 27:04Speaker 2: letting this man stay over here for he leave like
- 27:06Speaker 2: the other three. Mama, who has these people?
- 27:11Speaker 1: Who is my daddy?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Who I call daddy? I can't remember none of these people. Damn, Mama, damn,
- 27:28Speaker 2: it's like you mask like you the mama you're supposed
- 27:32Speaker 2: to be raising me. Why is I'm raising you? Get
- 27:36Speaker 2: your fans hands down. You don't see this. I'm out
- 27:42Speaker 2: here playing basketball. Every time I look up, and I
- 27:45Speaker 2: got a new man hollering from me.
- 27:48Speaker 1: You know, you don't know what?
- 27:50Speaker 2: And the last one forgotten my name called me.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Charles alright, last one Steve Chauncey.
- 27:58Speaker 11: And newman says, I live in a small town and
- 28:02Speaker 11: I met a woman that has requirements to date her.
- 28:05Speaker 11: I'm trying to meet all of them, so I give
- 28:08Speaker 11: her money even when I'm short. I dipped into my
- 28:11Speaker 11: savings so I don't disappoint her. How do I tell
- 28:14Speaker 11: her that I don't have it like that?
- 28:21Speaker 2: So to date her you have to pay let me
- 28:25Speaker 2: let me ask you what's what?
- 28:27Speaker 13: Where?
- 28:27Speaker 2: Where did you meet her at?
- 28:28Speaker 3: What?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Let me ask you a couple of questions. Questions? Okay,
- 28:33Speaker 2: but let me ask you a couple of questions. Was
- 28:37Speaker 2: she standing somewhere hold of man? Just just let me
- 28:44Speaker 2: ask you a couple questions. Was she at the end
- 28:48Speaker 2: of the bar by herself drinking? I'm just I'm just
- 28:53Speaker 2: trying to work through how you met this wall and

- 29:13Speaker 1: that he does.
- 29:14Speaker 2: No, no, no, I got this right here. Let me
- 29:18Speaker 2: ask you no question. Dog? Does she have more than
- 29:21Speaker 2: two nicknames?
- 29:23Speaker 3: Come?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 29:24Speaker 16: C l A, we Gotta go, Closters, Steve Harvey, Martin
- 29:29Speaker 16: show Man.
- 29:30Speaker 2: How would you know if your wife is a former stripper?
- 29:34Speaker 16: I have a couple of ways that you Okay, If
- 29:38Speaker 16: every time she enters the room she grabs the edge
- 29:42Speaker 16: of the doorway and swings into the room, that's a
- 29:47Speaker 16: damn dead giveaway.
- 29:49Speaker 2: She grabbed the edge of that doorway and swang into
- 29:52Speaker 2: that room, that's a damn dead gibble. If y'all walking
- 30:00Speaker 2: down the street, yeah, and she pick up all the
- 30:03Speaker 2: money she see on the sidewalk, even if it's a quarter,
- 30:07Speaker 2: a nickel of dime. If she know how to pick
- 30:09Speaker 2: up money off the ground, this is a dead giveaway
- 30:13Speaker 2: that your wife could have been a stripper.
- 30:17Speaker 11: Coming up right after, ladies and gentlemen, Sister Odell, day, oh.
- 30:28Speaker 17: Me bye, wrap a barb? Well, well, well, good.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Morning is everywhere? You know, it's my favorite holiday. It

- 31:50Speaker 11: like you know when you open your gifts, so on

- 31:55Speaker 11: your tree? Things like that, you know, what do you Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 11: what's your Christmas like? And then you know, if we
- 32:01Speaker 11: have time, and I hope we did.
- 32:05Speaker 2: You know most well, you know, Sweeten, most of my
- 32:09Speaker 2: family separated, you know, going their own ways and their
- 32:12Speaker 2: hair chills and everything. So if I tried to see
- 32:15Speaker 2: all of them, I'd just be on the plane all day.
- 32:17Speaker 2: So some of them's come over and you know, some
- 32:20Speaker 2: time with me. I put my tree up right after
- 32:23Speaker 2: Thanksgiving though, oh yes, yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am. So I
- 32:28Speaker 2: don't actually put it up myself. I has peoples, Okay, wow,
- 32:35Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Well, when you get people, when she.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Has people that helps me, yeah, she might need a
- 32:44Speaker 1: little help.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I has people that helps me, you know, like you
- 32:49Speaker 2: and you the last person need to ask about who
- 32:51Speaker 2: got people? Where Santa Claus gets you from?
- 33:04Speaker 3: Well?
- 33:04Speaker 1: Do you cook anything special? Sister hotel like a favorite?
- 33:10Speaker 2: I cooks, you know, I'm really good at dressing in yams.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I love dressing and yams. And I buys my turkey
- 33:18Speaker 2: now already cook from honey bake that way. I ain't
- 33:21Speaker 2: got to be in there watching it, you know, honey,
- 33:23Speaker 2: bake do it?
- 33:24Speaker 11: Uh huh okay, okay, all right, well you want to
- 33:33Speaker 11: bless us with the song since you're here.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I mean, I know you love Christmas songs.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Love you could finish.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I see it all.
- 34:04Speaker 2: He cheez?
- 34:07Speaker 8: Did you like jingle bells?
- 34:08Speaker 1: Cis Jo Dell?
- 34:10Speaker 2: Well, you know the original version. They changed it when
- 34:13Speaker 2: white people started singing, what.
- 34:16Speaker 5: Do you mean?
- 34:17Speaker 1: What do you mean like jingle bells? Jingle bells? That's nothing.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Just used to be jingle bells.
- 34:23Speaker 18: Used to go like this, jangle all, jangle all, jangle
- 34:31Speaker 18: all jangle jingle lord, jangle bells.
- 34:39Speaker 14: Jangle bells, jangle bells, jingle all away, I said, jangle bells,
- 34:47Speaker 14: jangle bells, jangle all the way.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Then you know, white folks couldn't do it, so they
- 34:54Speaker 2: had to simplify, you.
- 34:55Speaker 11: Know, to what.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, what's your version of the bell don't like you?
- 35:05Speaker 3: You know?
- 35:06Speaker 2: Okay? Just white? Yeah, just kill all the show in it.
- 35:12Speaker 1: You know that was off the red nose.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Well, you know.
- 35:21Speaker 2: That's really not a Christmas song because you know everyone
- 35:26Speaker 2: knows rain deer.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Really can't fly, you know, don't tell me.
- 35:32Speaker 2: You can't fly, no rainer. Well, y'all the one lying
- 35:36Speaker 2: to the kids.
- 35:37Speaker 1: But what if you want me to tell we have
- 35:40Speaker 1: children learning you can't. Yeah, I was devastating.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Well you know, has they seen him fly?
- 35:52Speaker 1: Have a heart, sister Odell. Now come on, this is
- 35:55Speaker 1: for the kids.
- 35:57Speaker 12: What about like I have.
- 35:59Speaker 2: At Okay for the kids. Okay, so then listen to me.
- 36:03Speaker 2: For the kids listening, this is what's happening. There's a
- 36:08Speaker 2: white man that puts on the suit and gets in
- 36:11Speaker 2: the sledg with twelve reindeer, and they put him all
- 36:13Speaker 2: across the hood and he slams on people's roofing and
- 36:17Speaker 2: theyver been shot, and comes down the chimney and it
- 36:21Speaker 2: fetched down everybody's chimney. Now, if you ain't got the chimney,
- 36:24Speaker 2: he comes through the windows or under the door, and
- 36:27Speaker 2: then he loves all the presents, the stuff you don't want.
- 36:32Speaker 1: And that's what he is.
- 36:33Speaker 2: He's just sat across and you ain't ever got what
- 36:36Speaker 2: you wanted. That pretty much explains hits that.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Well, all I can say to that is thank you,
- 36:47Speaker 1: sister Odell.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Shite the snow.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Over to you.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Can you tell them what's coming.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Last fit?
- 37:03Speaker 15: I guess you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show

- 38:51Speaker 13: All right?
- 38:53Speaker 11: Would you rather have sex one time with your celebrity crush? Okay,

- 41:02Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 41:08Speaker 11: All right, So all of the Steve Harvey Nation veterans
- 41:11Speaker 11: know that nephew Tommy has a lot of people in

- 56:22Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. Subject.
- 56:24Speaker 11: I knew it was too good to be true. Dear
- 56:26Speaker 11: Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty three years old and I've been
- 56:29Speaker 11: dating this great guy that a friend introduced me too.
- 56:33Speaker 11: He's thirty eight years old, never been married, and no children.
- 56:36Speaker 11: He looks good, smells good, and he has a good job.
- 56:39Speaker 11: We started dating a month ago when he invited me
- 56:41Speaker 11: to his class reunion recently. They had our d'eures and
- 56:45Speaker 11: drinks and he fixed us a plate of food to share.
- 56:48Speaker 11: He was killing these tuna sandwiches that were cut into
- 56:52Speaker 11: tiny triangles, and I told him and didn't smell right
- 56:55Speaker 11: to me. Three hours later, he excused himself to go
- 56:58Speaker 11: to the bathroom and he was gone for thirty minutes.
- 57:02Speaker 11: He texted me and said to meet him at his car,
- 57:04Speaker 11: and he asked me to drive him home. He went
- 57:07Speaker 11: straight to the bathroom. When we got to his house,
- 57:10Speaker 11: I did not go to the bathroom door to check
- 57:12Speaker 11: on him. He finally came out of the bathroom and
- 57:15Speaker 11: said he was going to take a shower and get
- 57:17Speaker 11: into bed. He asked me if I would stay with him.
- 57:21Speaker 11: I said no, and I suggested that he go to
- 57:24Speaker 11: the er if he's that much in pain. I got
- 57:28Speaker 11: in an uber and I went home. The next day,
- 57:31Speaker 11: I called to check on him, and he said he
- 57:33Speaker 11: didn't want to talk to me ever again, since I
- 57:35Speaker 11: didn't seem to care that he was sick the night before,
- 57:38Speaker 11: he said, I don't know how to take care of
- 57:40Speaker 11: a man. What more could I have done for him
- 57:43Speaker 11: that night? Do I try to work things out with
- 57:45Speaker 11: him or let him go? There's really nothing to work out.
- 57:49Speaker 11: I mean, you both showed who you really are. That's
- 57:52Speaker 11: when you get to see the real character, the true
- 57:54Speaker 11: character of a person, like in trying times, like thieves.
- 57:58Speaker 11: If he's sick, or if something happened to you, then
- 58:00Speaker 11: you get to see. So you saw, okay, he was
- 58:03Speaker 11: sick with what sounded like food poisoning. You drove him
- 58:07Speaker 11: home after he asked you. He said after he got
- 58:10Speaker 11: home that he was going to take a shower and
- 58:12Speaker 11: go to bed, and at that point it was okay
- 58:15Speaker 11: that you went home. You obviously didn't feel comfortable staying there.
- 58:19Speaker 11: I mean, you guys have only been dating for a month.
- 58:22Speaker 11: At the reunion, you told him the tuna sandwiches didn't
- 58:25Speaker 11: smell right, he didn't listen, he scarfed them down anyway.
- 58:30Speaker 11: You also suggested that he go to the er if
- 58:33Speaker 11: he was in that much pain. He didn't respond to
- 58:35Speaker 11: that either, and you didn't offer to take him. You
- 58:38Speaker 11: called the next morning to check on him, which shows
- 58:41Speaker 11: you do care. You were concerned, But he was mad
- 58:44Speaker 11: that you didn't stay the night with him, and he
- 58:46Speaker 11: said you didn't know how to take care of a man.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Well, that was insulting.
- 58:50Speaker 11: I mean, maybe a glimpse of what's to come if
- 58:52Speaker 11: something else happens between you two, if you stay in this.
- 58:56Speaker 11: So I think it's good that you guys go your
- 58:59Speaker 11: separate way.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Steve, Wow, you and I differ on this one so much,
- 59:05Speaker 2: so much. This is a sad, sad letter because you know,
- 59:09Speaker 2: she said the subject of the letters, I knew it
- 59:11Speaker 2: was too good to be true. Really, well, ladies, here
- 59:16Speaker 2: we go. Let's just walk down this from the male perspective,
- 59:20Speaker 2: because I know sometimes you don't like to do that,
- 59:24Speaker 2: but let's just look at this from the male perspective.
- 59:26Speaker 2: That's what I'm gonna do, because I'm trying to find
- 59:29Speaker 2: out in this letter what this dude is wrong at
- 59:32Speaker 2: I'm struggling, okay, and I'm being real with y'all because
- 59:36Speaker 2: and you'll understand what I'm saying as I take you
- 59:38Speaker 2: through this. You're thirty three years old. You've been dating
- 59:41Speaker 2: this great guy that a friend introduced you to. He's
- 59:47Speaker 2: thirty eight, never been buried in no children. He looks good,
- 59:50Speaker 2: smells good, he has a good job. We started dating
- 59:54Speaker 2: a month ago, Okay, So that means this that we're
- 59:58Speaker 2: about to describe is not a first date. They started
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: dating a month ago. Now, there's nothing in this letter
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: that says this woman is going by the ninety day
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: rule or anything. All we know is the facts is
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: they've been dating for a month, which means they've been
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: out on several occasions. Ain't nobody gonna take you to
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: the class reunion first date? Ain't that ain't a good look?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: So okay, here we go or derbs and drinks. He
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: fixed play of food for us to share. He was
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: killing these tune of sandwiches cut into triangles. I told
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: him it didn't smell right to me. Three hours later,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: he excused himself to go to the bathroom. He was
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: gone for thirty minutes. He texted me and said, to
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: meet him at his car. He asked me to drive
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: him home. He went straight to the bathroom when we
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: got to his house. I did not go to the
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: bathroom door to check on him. Right there. Okay, let's
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: just make note of that. She didn't even go to
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: the bathroom door to check on him. You know, Look,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: if somebody leaves in the middle of their class reunion
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: asked you to come to the car and drive them home,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: something's wrong. Something is wrong. Number one, You didn't even
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: go to the bathroom door to check on it. And
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: this is you writing the letter. This ain't him accusing
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: you of nothing. You're telling us what you did and
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: did not do. So you didn't even go to the
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: bathroom door to check oner. He finally came out of
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: the bathroom and said he was going to take a shower,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: which means he been sweating pretty hard. And tuna sandwiches
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: was cutting in tun That tuna was doing this damn thing.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I've had a bad oystry before when you get hold
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: of some bad seafood who this boy was in that
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: eating that tuna, and that tuna was doing what tuna do,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: swimming around, making waves and running. That's what tuna do
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: in a while. That's what it was doing in his stomach.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: That sandwich that he had chewed up got back together
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: and formed an actual tuna and was down in his
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: stomach cutting up all right now. He finally came out
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: the bathroom, said he was gonna take shower and get
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: in the bed. He asked me if I would stay
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: with him. I said no, and I suggested that he
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: go to the er if he was in that much pain.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: I get in the uber and I went home. Damn,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: the dude is in enough pain. He he ain't trying
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: to trap you into stay in. Oh girl, are you glue?
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Hang on?
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: Hang on, Yeah, you'll have part two of Steve's response
- 1:02:40Speaker 11: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's
- 1:02:42Speaker 11: Strawberry Letter subject, I knew it was too good to
- 1:02:45Speaker 11: be true. We'll get back into it right after this.

- 1:03:29Speaker 15: Strawberry letter. The subject I knew it was too good
- 1:03:32Speaker 15: to be true.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: I knew it now, Like I said earlier, if you
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: weren't here, Shirley, and I's response is quite different because,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: of course I have a different perspective, because it's the
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: male perspective. Women don't get to have that perspective. Now,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: this woman says in this letter, I knew it was
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: too good to be true. She's thirty three. She met
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: a man through some friends who's thirty eight. Great god,
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: she says it off. Now, this is this woman writing
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: this letter. Great god, look good, smell good, got a
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: good job. They've been dating for He invites her to
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: the class reunion. They get it, the class reunion. Now,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: this man right here to invited this woman to the
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: class reunion. He if a dude, don't care nothing about you.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: He not taking you to the class reunion. This is
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: the flex moment. So now he going, hey, man, look
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: what I got. This is after how many years? This well,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: that's about the twenty year reunion. You at the twenty
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: year thirty eight. He had his twenty year reunion, graduated
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: when he was eighteen, and he going, hey, hey, look
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: what I'd have found. I ain't never been married, I
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: ain't got no kids. Man, look what I found. Ladies,
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: take note of that. He took you to a very
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: important moment right here. All after this is just meeting
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: the mama. If you can meet the mama after this,
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: you's pretty much locked in. We've been dating for a month.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: He takes you to the class reunion. He eats some
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: tuna sandwiches. You told him wasn't good. He hard hited
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: he ain't the tune of sandwiches. Anyway. He ended up
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: going to the bathroom for thirty minutes. Then he texted
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: you and said meet him at the car. Something happened
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: in a bathroom. Traumatic. Traumatic. Not only could you meet
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: me at the car, can you drive this damn car home?
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: I'm in pain. He'd get to the house. He go
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: in the bathroom for thirty minutes. He come out tore up.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Did he look dishovel? Probably deep? And did he went
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: straight to the bathroom got to the house. You didn't,
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: she said. I didn't go to the bathroom though, to
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: check on him. Okay, cool. He finally came out of
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: the bathroom, said he was gonna take a shower and
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: get in the bed. He asked me if I would
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: stay with him. I said no, and I suggested he
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: go to the er if he's in that much pain.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Why didn't you stay with the man? He didn't ask
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: you to sleep with him, You said, if he has
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: so much pain, go to the er. You didn't offer
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: to take him to the er. You didn't offer to
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: stay with him. Where the soup at, where the crackers at,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: where that's at? You know that's all you had to do. Hey, look,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: I'll stay in here on the couch with you. I'll
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: let me check on you, make sure you're okay. That's
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: all the man won'ted. I gotta cook see right here,
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: warm soup, ain't cooking? Soup coming a can that ain't cooking? Lord,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: have mercy chiefs help her.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: It's in the kitchen.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: It's heating up some soup. Who came make soup.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: For the man.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Anyway, I got in an uber and I went home,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: So that means he picked her up, took her to
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: the event, she drove his car to the house. She
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: got in the uber and went home. The next day
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: I called a check on it. He said he ain't
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: even want to talk to me of again, since I
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: didn't seem to care that he was sick the night before.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: He said, I don't know how to take care of
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: a man, and I have news for you. You don't
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: because it just would have been a little thoughtful thing
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: to say, hey, let me stay with you at least
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: till you fall asleep and feel better. Then you could
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: have left home. Oh no, I'm not staying in him.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: He wasn't trying to trick you and get you into
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: the bed. The man was obviously sick. He then left
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: his class reunion. It wasn't a trap to get you
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: to the house. Something was seriously wrong with this man,
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: and you didn't think enough of him, and he was
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: testing you. He was testing you to see now, Shirley said,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: y'all need to break up because both of you showed
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: who you really were. Well, yeah, he did. He showed
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: that he was looking for somebody to care for him.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: You decided to show him. And then Shirley said, you
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: find out in moments like this who people really are.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: And he did. He found out exactly who you really was.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: He was sick and didn't feel well, and you bounced,
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: and he told you, right, you don't know how to
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: treat a man. And he thought he had something too.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: He should have wrote this letter and said it was
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: too good to be true, because he thought you would
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: at least just care about it. That's all you had
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: to do. He didn't say, Look, sleep with me, has
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: sex with me. I feel better in the morning. Now off,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: I'm sick. I'm gonna take a shower, getting in his bed.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: Would you stay with me? No, I'm getting the uber heat,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: the man of some soup, getting some crackers, what a
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: pepto bismol? You ain't did nothing? What more could I
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: have done for him that night? It's called comfort, It's
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: called concern. It's the thing that I teach all married
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: men show concern. They just want to know that you're listening.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: Man that all time want you to fix nothing. I
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: used to think they wanted to fix, so I had
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: suggested they don't even want to fix Sometimes they just
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: want to verbalize it, you know, man, that's how they
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: work stuff through. They talk it out. So bruh, just
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: show concern. What you had opportunity to do, young lady
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: was show concern and you didn't do. I try to
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: work things out with him or let him go?
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: What you fin to do?
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: You know what you're fin to let go? These are
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: your words. Now and read your letter. A great guy
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: that a friend introduced me to. He's thirty eight years old,
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: never been married, no children, He looks good, smells good,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: and he has good job. Okay, now you're gonna let
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: him go and go get what are you? Are?
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: You?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Are? You are? Are?
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: You?
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Are you ignorant?
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: Well? What what?
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: What is it?
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: What is?
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: So you're gonna let him go because you missed an
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: opportunity to learn how to treat a man. That's probably
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: why you ain't.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Got nobody post your comments on.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Because you don't know how to treat a man. No,
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: you probably don't deserve to do.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: Get out of there. You don't have to cook. Post
