- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 5: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 5: one and only Steve Harley got a radio show today.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I want to just share something with you.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Along your way to wherever it is you're trying to
- 2:24Speaker 5: get to. You know, everybody has a different definition for success,
- 2:29Speaker 5: and I'm not here to tell you what yours should be.
- 2:32Speaker 5: I mean, please pursue whatever you think success is. Aim
- 2:36Speaker 5: as high as you can though, that's for sure. My
- 2:41Speaker 5: father used to say all the time. I'm sure you
- 2:43Speaker 5: all have heard it in different variations, but he used
- 2:46Speaker 5: to always say, aim for the moon. Just in case
- 2:49Speaker 5: you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say
- 2:52Speaker 5: that to me all the time. So that always was
- 2:55Speaker 5: in me to aim high. Now he wasn't saying aim
- 3:00Speaker 5: with the intent to miss. He was just saying aim
- 3:05Speaker 5: in case you miss, you'll steal me amongst the stars
- 3:09Speaker 5: if you aim for the moon. But if you just
- 3:11Speaker 5: aim for that first flow window and you miss it,
- 3:15Speaker 5: you know, usually run into some type of wall and
- 3:19Speaker 5: nothing happens. You slither down, you know. In my book,
- 3:23Speaker 5: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:25Speaker 5: her people that me in love three ways, they profess,
- 3:27Speaker 5: they provide, they protect, and that's the core essence of
- 3:31Speaker 5: a man's love.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Well, there's some other PE's in life too.
- 3:37Speaker 5: The number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:41Speaker 5: to be successful, and I guess I'll call this the
- 3:45Speaker 5: four p's.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I may come up with five along the way. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 5: I'm just talking as it's given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 5: gonna summer start by saying that these are the four
- 3:54Speaker 5: PE's of success that you have to get ready for.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Number one is pressure. A lot of it is applied
- 4:04Speaker 5: by the circumstance of what you're trying to go for
- 4:07Speaker 5: and what you're trying.
- 4:07Speaker 4: To do, but.
- 4:11Speaker 5: A lot of it also is self impose pressure. It's
- 4:15Speaker 5: what you put on yourself to make it. It's a
- 4:19Speaker 5: sense of urgency, it's a sense of necessity. But pressure
- 4:27Speaker 5: is the first thing I want you to be ready for.
- 4:30Speaker 5: And pressure comes in a lot of different forms, but
- 4:33Speaker 5: it's going to be pressured as an old saying that
- 4:35Speaker 5: pressure bust of pipes. See, that's why most people turn
- 4:37Speaker 5: around because of the pressure of trying to be successful.
- 4:42Speaker 5: I want you to get it in your mind that
- 4:44Speaker 5: it is going to be a pressure rise situation on
- 4:48Speaker 5: your rise to the top. Pressure, but understand that that
- 4:53Speaker 5: is what it is, is not going to change.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That's it.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Prepare yourself, get ready for there to be pressure.
- 5:03Speaker 5: The second thing I want you to understand is when
- 5:06Speaker 5: you receive this pressure, you have to persist.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You got to stay at it. You got to develop
- 5:14Speaker 2: a dog illness. Hez A.
- 5:20Speaker 5: There's a song how it says, why must I feel
- 5:25Speaker 5: like that? Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but
- 5:29Speaker 5: the dog in me? That's a funny line in that song,
- 5:34Speaker 5: because really I was thinking about it one day.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I was humming it and and it.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Occurred to me, said, why must I feel like that?
- 5:44Speaker 5: Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog
- 5:48Speaker 5: in me? And you know, now you could take it
- 5:51Speaker 5: in the literal sense that a cat chases the dog,
- 5:54Speaker 5: because it's innately it's in his spirit that cats and
- 5:58Speaker 5: dogs are a lot of times enemies. Now people have
- 6:01Speaker 5: pets in him proven that if you show love on
- 6:04Speaker 5: both sides, they can exist. And that happens too but
- 6:07Speaker 5: naturally innately, when your cat goes by a dog and
- 6:11Speaker 5: your dog don't recognize him, there's some barking going on.
- 6:14Speaker 5: I'm talking about just walking through the neighborhood or something. So,
- 6:18Speaker 5: but the reason that this dog is so persistent towards
- 6:24Speaker 5: this cat is just cause it's in him. It's innately
- 6:28Speaker 5: in him. And what I'm saying to you, just using
- 6:33Speaker 5: that as an analogy, is that you got to be
- 6:38Speaker 5: you got to be persistent in that.
- 6:42Speaker 2: You got to develop some dog in you now.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Because pressure takes some fighting back.
- 6:48Speaker 5: See if you don't fight back against pressure, pressure buster pipe,
- 6:52Speaker 5: So what you think it'll do to you? Pressure crack walls,
- 6:56Speaker 5: pressure calls explosions. So if you don't fight back to
- 6:59Speaker 5: hold it in, you understand pressure does most people in
- 7:05Speaker 5: the simple thing called pressure, the weight of what it
- 7:09Speaker 5: feels like to want to be successful every single day,
- 7:13Speaker 5: over and over and over and over and over. It's
- 7:16Speaker 5: just too much pressure. People crack. You got to persist
- 7:20Speaker 5: you have to persist. You can the thought of giving
- 7:24Speaker 5: up can come, but you got to get it out.
- 7:27Speaker 5: You got to persist. The next thing I want you
- 7:32Speaker 5: to think about is another something that I've been thinking
- 7:36Speaker 5: about for years and learned for years.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It's called perseverance.
- 7:41Speaker 5: To persist means to insist, a keyword in incest, and
- 7:48Speaker 5: persistence insists you must. You must insist that this is
- 7:52Speaker 5: going to happen. Now, the persist I'm assuming means it's
- 7:56Speaker 5: a proaction. It's some type of proaction that you go
- 7:59Speaker 5: towards it to make it. You know, persist, You gotta
- 8:03Speaker 5: be persistent. You gotta be constantly at it, insisting that
- 8:07Speaker 5: it happens. You gotta be constantly at it. But the
- 8:09Speaker 5: next thing I want you to remember is perseverance. Perseverance
- 8:13Speaker 5: is important. Perseverance means that when you've done your best,
- 8:20Speaker 5: when you've persisted, when you're fighting back against the pressure.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Perseverance simply means I'm going to hang in here. If
- 8:30Speaker 5: a crack come into pipe, I'm gonna hang in there.
- 8:33Speaker 5: If the pipe bust, I'm gonna keep going. If I
- 8:37Speaker 5: got to put duct, take mud, whatever I got to
- 8:41Speaker 5: put on this thing. Man I'm gonna use perseverance. I'm
- 8:46Speaker 5: going to stay with it no matter what. So we're
- 8:50Speaker 5: looking at the three things again. You got to understand
- 8:53Speaker 5: that it's gonna be pressure that you're gonna have to persist.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Keyword in persistence insists. You have to insist that no
- 9:01Speaker 5: matter what the pressure is, I'm gonna stay with it.
- 9:04Speaker 5: But then perseverance. If it goes wrong, Man, you got
- 9:08Speaker 5: to get in there and keep fighting. But then, Lord
- 9:12Speaker 5: have mercy. Nothing helps you handle the three peas better
- 9:16Speaker 5: than the fourth p You got to pray.
- 9:19Speaker 2: You got to use prayer. You got to talk to God.
- 9:23Speaker 2: You gotta use faith.
- 9:25Speaker 5: You gotta have some conferences with him late at night,
- 9:29Speaker 5: early in the morning, in the middle of the afternoon,
- 9:31Speaker 5: when you're on the train, when you're driving. You got
- 9:34Speaker 5: to talk to God. Man, you got to get yourself
- 9:37Speaker 5: some help along the way. Nothing is bigger than prayer.
- 9:40Speaker 5: There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer will help you
- 9:43Speaker 5: overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you stay persistent, and
- 9:47Speaker 5: Lord have mercy. Prayer will help you persevere. Then, mister
- 9:51Speaker 5: faux pease, God gave that to me. I'm passing it on.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show two on
- 10:06Speaker 1: two three four. Yeah, there it is.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Do I have it your attention? I thought so countdown
- 10:20Speaker 2: made you think something was coming. It did me.
- 10:25Speaker 5: I'm here alive and well and healthy, so grateful for
- 10:31Speaker 5: what all God has done for me.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Who standing strong?
- 10:38Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:38Speaker 5: Come on, hanging there, dog, hanging there. You know, Morning
- 10:43Speaker 5: Drive Radio has been something else. I think it's tested
- 10:48Speaker 5: us all because no matter what we're going through, no
- 10:51Speaker 5: matter how we feel, and we got to wake up
- 10:53Speaker 5: in the morning and deliver and like when the sun
- 10:55Speaker 5: come up, we got to come up with it.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Goodbody.

- 20:31Speaker 5: Well, he had ordered some breakfast and he was standing
- 20:35Speaker 5: on the little table eating his breakfast and I wasn't
- 20:39Speaker 5: paying no attention and it got over too close to
- 20:42Speaker 5: the plate and I put the lid on it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: The next thing I know, the head. He pushed it
- 20:47Speaker 1: out the room.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I pushed it out the room downstairs. Ain't nobody know where.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I said, I bet I'm gonna put that lid on
- 20:54Speaker 1: that plate.
- 20:55Speaker 2: And I went down there and open up. He's standing.
- 20:57Speaker 2: He's sitting there on the potatoes. Mad. Yeah, you knew
- 21:07Speaker 2: I was over here when you pushed you out.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yours stupid? So he got also potatos? Yeah, sorry, way
- 21:24Speaker 1: he was trying to eat, you know. Okay, gets as
- 21:30Speaker 1: the clo with our Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in
- 21:33Speaker 1: the building. Right after this, you're listening to the Steve
- 21:36Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Think about the people who mean the
- 21:43Speaker 1: most to you. Giving them valuable protection is a great
- 21:47Speaker 1: gift you can offer, and Globe Life Insurance can make

- 22:04Speaker 1: That's one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred
- 22:07Speaker 1: or globelifradio dot com coming up at the top of
- 22:10Speaker 1: the hour. And entertainment news of fashion influencers and hot water.
- 22:15Speaker 1: After he made some nasty comments about legendary singer We
- 22:18Speaker 1: love her Dion Warwick's outfit. Oh yeah, yeah, it was
- 22:24Speaker 1: pretty ugly. And dad to twelve children, we all know
- 22:27Speaker 1: who that is. Nick Kennon said there is absolutely a
- 22:31Speaker 1: double standard when it comes to how he parents his
- 22:34Speaker 1: fifteen year old daughter. We'll talk about all of this
- 22:37Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Yeah, but
- 22:40Speaker 1: right now it is time to ask the CLO our
- 22:44Speaker 1: chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 22:46Speaker 1: This is from Maggie. Haven't heard Maggie. Maggie in Newark.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Maggie says, I'm attracted to younger men, and I just
- 22:55Speaker 1: found out that one of my matches online is twenty
- 22:59Speaker 1: two years younger than I am. He got an old
- 23:02Speaker 1: he's got an old soul, and we have a lot
- 23:04Speaker 1: in common. He's eager to meet me. Is this a
- 23:07Speaker 1: waste of time? Or could it be a love connection.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Could it be that he don't have an old soul?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Could it be that is immature? Oh okay, that's that's
- 23:19Speaker 1: the different way to look at that.
- 23:22Speaker 2: You attract what you are.
- 23:24Speaker 5: You attract younger man, and you date younger man because
- 23:27Speaker 5: that's where you at.
- 23:29Speaker 1: But you do agree that some people do act older
- 23:32Speaker 1: or more mature than their chronological age and vice versa. Right, Well,
- 23:38Speaker 1: may ask your whole question here we go. What you
- 23:43Speaker 1: at his age? What does he have to do with it?
- 23:49Speaker 1: It's your nephew.
- 23:51Speaker 2: I'm just asking question. When he talking, do you see
- 23:57Speaker 2: how old is time? And tummas?
- 23:59Speaker 1: He's ten years under the he got a birthday coming
- 24:03Speaker 1: up this month a couple of weeks. When he talking,
- 24:05Speaker 1: do you do you hit it that age? That wisdom?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Have you heard wisdom yet?
- 24:15Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna move on. Yes, this is from
- 24:19Speaker 1: Andrea and Raleigh. Andrea writes, our church is having a
- 24:23Speaker 1: bake sale and they expect me to bring most of
- 24:25Speaker 1: the pound cakes and cookies. I do this for a living,
- 24:28Speaker 1: so I feel like the church should give me a
- 24:30Speaker 1: small percent of the profits. Would I be wrong to
- 24:33Speaker 1: tell the church folks how I feel.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Of course you should, but why don't you? So she
- 24:39Speaker 2: has to make the cakes and then the church sells them.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah, they expect her to don't bring most of the
- 24:46Speaker 1: pound cakes and the cookies.
- 24:47Speaker 5: And well, why why don't your church do this? Why
- 24:50Speaker 5: don't the church give her a little sum to cover
- 24:53Speaker 5: costs and stuff like that? And then so, y'all, can
- 24:57Speaker 5: you know at least she not in the hole for them?
- 24:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what she's saying. Would she be wrong to
- 25:02Speaker 1: tell the church folks how she feels.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Your church folks are always talking about her to be
- 25:07Speaker 5: so grateful if you could just bless us.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Well, when y'all gonna bless me?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Right, I do this for a living. How did she
- 25:16Speaker 1: approach that? Whoa? She said? Should she tell them?
- 25:25Speaker 5: I say, look, y'all, y'all know I have a business,
- 25:29Speaker 5: and you know I'm trying to stay afloat, man, I
- 25:32Speaker 5: would appreciate it. I bring ten pound cakes down here.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Could y'all just COVID calls to the pancakes poundcakes? I'll
- 25:40Speaker 5: make them and still bring Yeah, y'all give me a
- 25:44Speaker 5: hundred dollars so I can get some ingredients.
- 25:46Speaker 1: And y'all more than that egg flour milk.
- 25:52Speaker 7: But but.
- 25:56Speaker 8: The church elders are gonna say, this is your donate
- 26:00Speaker 8: to the bank sale.
- 26:02Speaker 1: That's a Baptist church for show. Yeah, this Baptist. Why
- 26:06Speaker 1: you say that, junior, that's Baptist church. That's what they do.
- 26:09Speaker 6: They won't everything free. Methodists don't never have this problem
- 26:14Speaker 6: at a Methodist church.
- 26:15Speaker 2: This is all Baptists don't either.
- 26:18Speaker 1: This revend psych here all right. Moving on to d
- 26:26Speaker 1: and Fort Myers, d D writes, I'm a thirty eight
- 26:29Speaker 1: year old grandmother and I didn't sign up to be
- 26:32Speaker 1: a babysitter. Okay, she's thirty eight. She did not sign
- 26:36Speaker 1: up to be a babysitter. She says. I love my grandchildren,
- 26:39Speaker 1: but I make sure that they know they can't stay here.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I'm sure I'm missing valuable bonding time with them while
- 26:46Speaker 1: they're young, and will I regret it later, thirty eight
- 26:49Speaker 1: year old grandmother? Sure, what'd you say?
- 26:53Speaker 5: I got no advice for a thirty eight year old
- 26:55Speaker 5: grandmother because I'm trying to still figure out how to
- 26:58Speaker 5: be this sixty nine year old grandfather.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yes, she says she loves the kids, but she just
- 27:07Speaker 1: she's not there yet. You know as a grandmother. Yeah,
- 27:13Speaker 1: she's pretty young. She's still young. So were you there?
- 27:17Speaker 1: That's for sure?
- 27:18Speaker 10: She is there because the grandmother. Yeah you were not
- 27:24Speaker 10: mentally prepared to be the grandmother. Yeah, but she she
- 27:30Speaker 10: doesn't want to. She doesn't want to miss that valuable time.
- 27:34Speaker 10: And I tell you they do grow up quickly. Everyone
- 27:37Speaker 10: that has kids knows that. So she's saying, will she
- 27:40Speaker 10: regret this decision later? Not letting them stay over high.
- 27:44Speaker 1: I'm glad my kids is wrong, But can you not
- 27:50Speaker 1: make it about you and try to out.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Well, I can't help nobody if I can't help myself.
- 27:54Speaker 4: What you want?
- 27:57Speaker 2: Not self care?
- 27:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 28:00Speaker 5: These these asked, the questions, all this clo all this here.
- 28:04Speaker 5: You know it's got to be about something, you know,
- 28:05Speaker 5: junior one.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Yeah, do you baby sit your grandchildren? Don't you babies?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Hell no, wait what they don't need the kids with me?
- 28:15Speaker 1: They already know what will happen. Well, I know that
- 28:19Speaker 1: one's a vegan and you gave them, you gave he'd be.
- 28:23Speaker 5: Out there eating meat and they'd be out there smoking
- 28:25Speaker 5: cigars smoke.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Well, then it's good that they don't leave
- 28:36Speaker 1: the grandkids with you.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Every time my granddaughter loose go past me, she make
- 28:41Speaker 5: a puffing sound. She can't figure out how that smoke
- 28:47Speaker 5: be coming out, My mother, You.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Smoke around grandchildren?
- 28:54Speaker 2: Crazy?
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the question. Answer the question.
- 29:00Speaker 2: They come over to my house.
- 29:02Speaker 1: You don't have any adjustments or concessions for your grandkids.
- 29:06Speaker 1: I can't do this or let me push this away.
- 29:09Speaker 2: A long time trying not to cuss around them. You
- 29:11Speaker 2: know I don't do that all.
- 29:14Speaker 1: But you draw a line well, he said hardly.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Oh no, But if I tell you do something you
- 29:20Speaker 2: ain't hear me. You must have didn't hear me. I'm
- 29:22Speaker 2: gonna help you hear it.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So you cussing them, smoke around them and feed them
- 29:29Speaker 1: meat if me, yea?
- 29:31Speaker 2: And we nothing do that?
- 29:34Speaker 8: So do you read to them?
- 29:37Speaker 1: Do you do any educational Well, let me tell you something.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Are you taking them to the park.
- 29:42Speaker 5: My little Ezra asked me to tell them a bedtime
- 29:45Speaker 5: story one time, and I don't know nothing. So I
- 29:51Speaker 5: was telling him about trying to make your two little
- 29:53Speaker 5: kids that broke into a lumberyard and.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Stole some wood.
- 29:59Speaker 2: That was all you.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Tie together with sun real. I couldn't work it after
- 30:06Speaker 1: him once on a time two little kids broke into
- 30:09Speaker 1: a lumberyard and stole.
- 30:10Speaker 2: He's gonna ask me, Papa. They did pay for it.
- 30:16Speaker 2: But do you know what your story is about?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Thank you, Clo. I think, Oh Lord, coming up at
- 30:23Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news
- 30:26Speaker 1: for you. Right If you weren't entertained enough already, you're
- 30:29Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, Harvey Warning show. Fashion influencer
- 30:40Speaker 1: Nicky Campbell is facing backlash online for his harsh and
- 30:45Speaker 1: very disrespectful comments about eighty five year old music icon
- 30:48Speaker 1: Dion Warwick on the red carpet for a recent Billboard
- 30:52Speaker 1: Women in Music event. Dion Warwick chose to wear a
- 30:55Speaker 1: pair of white, comfy cozy slippers with her white pinstripe suit.
- 31:01Speaker 1: In an Instagram, real influencer Nicky Campbell said, quote slippers
- 31:06Speaker 1: b come on, and he said the word yeah. Fans
- 31:11Speaker 1: of Dion Warick's ripped him apart in the comments, noting
- 31:14Speaker 1: how utterly disrespectful it is to use the B word
- 31:18Speaker 1: in regards to a legendary elder such as Dion Warwick.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Campbell then issued a public apology to Dion Warwick on Monday.
- 31:27Speaker 1: He admitted that he put his foot in his mouth
- 31:30Speaker 1: and didn't know that Miss Warwick had undergone an emergency
- 31:34Speaker 1: leg surgery back in September of last year to alleviate
- 31:38Speaker 1: some pain. That doesn't matter, but anyway, Campbell reaffirmed Dion
- 31:42Speaker 1: Worrick's status as a quote queen. But even before the
- 31:45Speaker 1: controversy started, Dion Warick had already addressed her fans on
- 31:49Speaker 1: Instagram by saying, I'm wearing what I want to wear.
- 31:52Speaker 1: How about that? And I think I look pretty nice?
- 31:56Speaker 1: And you know, she said it because that's who she is.
- 31:59Speaker 1: She said, this boy alive, but he had to take
- 32:05Speaker 1: all that stuff down. Yeah, who would do this though?
- 32:10Speaker 1: I mean, but you know eighty five. Come on, man,
- 32:13Speaker 1: you want to wear and you you will never be
- 32:17Speaker 1: her and have her accomplishments.
- 32:21Speaker 2: You will never reach her status ever.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Boy, you have no idea what you would have to
- 32:27Speaker 5: do to be miss dion woid the grace that she
- 32:31Speaker 5: didn't and the dignity she done gave in the Times
- 32:34Speaker 5: that boy. Boy, you know, but these young cats, man,
- 32:39Speaker 5: they so disrespectful. That's what's missing in our world today.
- 32:43Speaker 5: It's just a lack of respect. If you're not current
- 32:47Speaker 5: and new they ain't got nothing for you, and if
- 32:49Speaker 5: you ain't, and it's always what have you done for me? Lately,
- 32:52Speaker 5: they don't even respect each other. You know, they calling
- 32:56Speaker 5: jay Z old all this man been done for hip hop?
- 32:59Speaker 5: What do you talking about?
- 33:01Speaker 4: You know?
- 33:01Speaker 2: They dog each other.
- 33:03Speaker 1: So fast.
- 33:06Speaker 5: And jay Z man, this dude is just he he
- 33:09Speaker 5: climbing and he don't care. He just steady climbing.
- 33:13Speaker 1: But just watch your words. Yeah, calling miss the Queen
- 33:17Speaker 1: like you said the beach. But what about respect? Man?
- 33:22Speaker 1: What what about that?
- 33:24Speaker 5: What don't see these these cats now? They don't think
- 33:28Speaker 5: they owe nobody before them? Some of these basketball players
- 33:31Speaker 5: be talking about them old dudes. They couldn't have hung
- 33:34Speaker 5: with us. We two athletic, No, bro, you just look
- 33:37Speaker 5: more athletic now. I admit these cats is athletic.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I got that. But all that Ali Oop and y'all
- 33:43Speaker 1: doing the reason y'all doing.
- 33:44Speaker 5: That because y'all don't had them boys down in the
- 33:46Speaker 5: paint taking care of the house like we did.
- 33:49Speaker 1: And respect the game too. You know, they just respected
- 33:53Speaker 1: the game back in the day too. But when you're young,
- 33:56Speaker 1: we were taught respect your elders period.
- 34:00Speaker 8: Yeah, so what makes you think that you can call
- 34:03Speaker 8: Dion Warwick out her name legendary.
- 34:07Speaker 1: And critique what she's wearing. Just leave it a home
- 34:10Speaker 1: because not even necessary. They weren't taught it. They don't
- 34:13Speaker 1: you and you're stupid and you don't know who she is.
- 34:19Speaker 5: Yeah, she wasn't who she is, But it makes it
- 34:23Speaker 5: equally stupid to show you how uninformed you are when
- 34:28Speaker 5: you don't know who these legends are. Yeah, but if
- 34:32Speaker 5: you had the basic training, like y'all saying of just
- 34:35Speaker 5: respect your elders, we wouldn't be here.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yep. And if you're in this type of genre, do
- 34:41Speaker 1: your research. Know who came before you and what they
- 34:44Speaker 1: did and whose shoulders you're standing on all of that.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Yeah anyway, yeah, real liverywhere, Yeah everywhere. We love you,
- 34:54Speaker 1: Dion Warwick. We love you, do queen, Yes, all right,
- 34:58Speaker 1: moving on the man. It's twelve children. We all know
- 35:02Speaker 1: who that is. It is mister Nick Cannon recently, yes recently,
- 35:09Speaker 1: admitted to having a quote double standard when it comes
- 35:12Speaker 1: to allowing his fifteen year old twins Moroccan and Monroe
- 35:15Speaker 1: to date. These are, of course, Nick's oldest children with
- 35:19Speaker 1: ex wife Mariah Carey. On an episode of TMC's podcast,
- 35:24Speaker 1: Nick said, my son has been dating and I've allowed it,
- 35:28Speaker 1: I encouraged it, but my daughter, no, absolutely not. First
- 35:33Speaker 1: of all, it is absolutely a double standard. There is
- 35:36Speaker 1: a difference when parenting a son and parenting a daughter.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Nick went on to say that he is more protective
- 35:42Speaker 1: of his daughter Monroe because there are certain types of
- 35:45Speaker 1: individuals that he wants to keep his daughter away from.
- 35:49Speaker 1: All right, got it?
- 35:50Speaker 7: Like you.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Good luck homie.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah, so you have girls, of course, Steve, do you
- 36:02Speaker 1: agree with Nick about this double standard? And you would
- 36:04Speaker 1: let your Sunday I agree.
- 36:08Speaker 5: But I have news for Nick because he made a
- 36:10Speaker 5: comment one time, a derogatory comment about the way I
- 36:14Speaker 5: was raising mind. And you know, yeah, he made a
- 36:18Speaker 5: derogatory comment, but I didn't take it that bad because
- 36:22Speaker 5: I know you don't know. See what you don't know
- 36:26Speaker 5: as a parent is you can raise your children to
- 36:29Speaker 5: the best of your ability. But when they get a
- 36:32Speaker 5: certain age they get they get to decide.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and yeah, if.
- 36:36Speaker 5: They at home, you can keep you can keep all
- 36:38Speaker 5: the wolves that babe when they live at home, but
- 36:41Speaker 5: they're gonna move out.
- 36:44Speaker 1: And then they get to make decisions. Yeah, and then
- 36:48Speaker 1: but you still.
- 36:49Speaker 5: Gonna be the dad and the mom, and they're going
- 36:53Speaker 5: to make decisions. And I don't care what parents you are,
- 36:57Speaker 5: one of your children is going to make a decision
- 37:01Speaker 5: that you disagree with. And I have news for you
- 37:05Speaker 5: that ain't a nada you can do about it.
- 37:08Speaker 1: All right, coming up at twenty minutes after, Democratic lawmakers
- 37:13Speaker 1: are hoping to raise the federal minimum waged twenty five
- 37:16Speaker 1: dollars an hour. We'll talk about that right after this.
- 37:20Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Think about
- 37:28Speaker 1: the people who mean the most to you. Giving them
- 37:31Speaker 1: valuable protection is a great gift you can offer, and
- 37:34Speaker 1: Globe Life Insurance can make it easy. With Globelife coverage.
- 37:38Speaker 1: There's no medical exam, just a simple application. Take this
- 37:42Speaker 1: step for the people you love. Call Globe Life at
- 37:45Speaker 1: one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred, or
- 37:48Speaker 1: visit globelifradio dot com that's one eight hundred two five
- 37:52Speaker 1: to one fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com. A
- 37:55Speaker 1: group of Democratic lawmakers have introduced legislation to raise the
- 38:00Speaker 1: federal minimum wage to twenty five dollars an hour. That
- 38:05Speaker 1: is a significant jump from the current seven dollars and
- 38:08Speaker 1: twenty five cent rate. The bill is known as the
- 38:12Speaker 1: Living Wage for All Act, and proposes to phase in
- 38:16Speaker 1: increases beginning around twelve dollars an hour and rising annually
- 38:21Speaker 1: until reaching twenty five dollars an hour by the year
- 38:24Speaker 1: twenty thirty one. Supporters of the increase say the plan
- 38:27Speaker 1: would help workers keep up with the rising cost of living,
- 38:31Speaker 1: while critics warn it could lead to higher prices and
- 38:34Speaker 1: potential job losses. The federal minimum wage has not increased
- 38:38Speaker 1: since two thousand and nine. So here's the question. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:43Speaker 1: since two thousand and nine. So here's a question. Do
- 38:45Speaker 1: you guys remember, Steve, what the minimum wage was when
- 38:48Speaker 1: you were in your twenties. Let's say, well, no, I don't.
- 38:51Speaker 2: But let me let me say this.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Okay, this is not going to happen. Why because they're
- 38:58Speaker 5: saying that it will. Here's they've already started the rhetoric,
- 39:02Speaker 5: it will cost consumers more money. Well, here's minimum wage jobs, Starbucks, Walmart.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Cashier, job service, something like that, stuff like that.
- 39:22Speaker 5: Who owns Starbucks, Howard Sessions, who owns Walmart? The Walmart family,
- 39:30Speaker 5: the Waltons. They they're not giving you twenty five dollars
- 39:34Speaker 5: an hour because it will cut into their profits. They're
- 39:40Speaker 5: not cutting in their profits to help you live a
- 39:43Speaker 5: better life. And that's what this whole thing is about.
- 39:47Speaker 5: And I don't know why people are not understanding that.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Time.
- 39:53Speaker 5: It don't matter if it's over a period of time.
- 39:55Speaker 5: This administration man is showing you how this works. Yes
- 40:00Speaker 5: they are, and it's clear. Yeah, yeah, but the mag
- 40:03Speaker 5: of people a dead set on trusting and believing everything.
- 40:08Speaker 2: He says.
- 40:09Speaker 5: I've never seen so many blind people get in line
- 40:13Speaker 5: with they blind folds, put them on, and just walk
- 40:16Speaker 5: off the cliff. You hear the people holler ooh, I
- 40:22Speaker 5: can't wait to holler, w U step off the cliff
- 40:25Speaker 5: with the rest of us. And that's what they're doing.
- 40:27Speaker 1: So okay, all right, yeah, but what was minimum wage
- 40:32Speaker 1: back when you were in your twenties. Do you remember
- 40:38Speaker 1: when I was in college, I had a waitress job
- 40:41Speaker 1: at a pizza place. I made two dollars an hour.
- 40:44Speaker 8: Uh huh, because they paid you the lowest and then

- 56:53Speaker 1: Subject jin makes you thin. There's Stephen Shirley. I was
- 56:57Speaker 1: dating a man off and on for about two years.
- 57:00Speaker 1: He was a bad boy, and I'm a church girly.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I never cursed or drank before I met him. When
- 57:06Speaker 1: I started hanging out with him, I felt like I
- 57:09Speaker 1: was that girl. He made me feel wild and free
- 57:12Speaker 1: sexually too. He and I would stay indoors an entire
- 57:16Speaker 1: weekend and walk around in our base birthday suits and
- 57:20Speaker 1: have sex all day and night. I never got bored
- 57:23Speaker 1: with him. Our drink was Gin. Anything that we drank
- 57:28Speaker 1: it had gin in it. He said when I was
- 57:31Speaker 1: gone off that gin I was about to sin. It
- 57:34Speaker 1: intensified the intimacy, but I never drank so much that
- 57:37Speaker 1: I didn't know what was going on. I even considered
- 57:40Speaker 1: to being filmed by him, and we enjoyed watching the
- 57:43Speaker 1: movies we made. But then I put the relationship on
- 57:46Speaker 1: pause when he tried to bring another chicken to the
- 57:49Speaker 1: mix with us. He begged me to keep an open mind,
- 57:52Speaker 1: but I couldn't. I stopped dealing with him after that.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Fast forward to two months ago. Time had passed and
- 57:58Speaker 1: I started dating so someone knew he was a big drinker,
- 58:02Speaker 1: but I told him that all I drink is gin.
- 58:05Speaker 1: We went to dinner one night and I had three
- 58:08Speaker 1: Gin and tonics and I was feeling great. He asked
- 58:11Speaker 1: me to go to a sex party with him, and
- 58:14Speaker 1: I had never been to one, so I was excited.
- 58:17Speaker 1: When we walked in, I saw my ex. He came
- 58:21Speaker 1: over and we kissed passionately. Then we went to one
- 58:24Speaker 1: of the bedrooms to hook up. My current boyfriend saw
- 58:28Speaker 1: me with my ex and he did not say anything
- 58:31Speaker 1: as we walked past him. He ended up breaking up
- 58:34Speaker 1: with me that night. Then I found out that I
- 58:36Speaker 1: am pregnant, and I told each guy that it could
- 58:40Speaker 1: be his baby. They both have blocked me. I trusted
- 58:44Speaker 1: them to take care of me. How could they take
- 58:47Speaker 1: advantage of me when they're the ones that made me
- 58:50Speaker 1: show my wild side. They took advantage of you simply
- 58:57Speaker 1: because they could. I mean, you were naive, you thought
- 59:00Speaker 1: it was something that it wasn't. This is really sad
- 59:04Speaker 1: because and I feel badly because for you, because this
- 59:08Speaker 1: all could have been avoided had you known better, had
- 59:12Speaker 1: you even thought about it for a moment. You got
- 59:15Speaker 1: caught up. You trusted these guys. You allowed them to
- 59:18Speaker 1: use you and to change who you are completely. You
- 59:22Speaker 1: said with the first guy, your ex, you didn't even
- 59:24Speaker 1: curse or drink before you met him, because you were
- 59:27Speaker 1: a church girly, as you called it. I've never heard
- 59:30Speaker 1: that expression, but you were a church girly. He was
- 59:33Speaker 1: a bad boy, and we know everyone loves a bad boy.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I'm glad you wanted to keep it between the two
- 59:39Speaker 1: of you at first with no threesomes and you finally
- 59:43Speaker 1: broke it off with him. But then then with the
- 59:47Speaker 1: new guy, you went to a whole sex party and
- 59:50Speaker 1: you said you were excited to go all this that
- 59:54Speaker 1: I just said you know already. So now you need
- 59:57Speaker 1: to know how to move forward because these two men,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: who both could be the father of your unbornborn child,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: have blocked you. You may never see these guys again,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: so you have to accept that you will be a
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: single mother. You will be solely responsible for this baby
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: until you get a DNA test. If you can get
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: a DNA test from these guys, you won't be able
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to get any support, child support, or financial help or anything. Secondly,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you've got to stop drinking gin and everything. Whatever you drink,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: You've got to stop drinking. Alcohol makes you do crazy things,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: all right, No more wild'n out for you. Your baby
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: should be your priority now and there is no room
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: for gin with a new born. So please consider this
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: precious new life you are about to bring into the
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: world and get yourself together. Stop the gin, all of it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You gotta stop, Steve.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: I just this letter's kind of lady. All this is
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: your fault. You know, all these decisions you made. I'm
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: not judging you, but because we all make mistakes. But wow,
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: you like bad boys and church girl. It seems to
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: work out all the time. Never cussed or drink before
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: I met him. And then y'all started hanging out, and
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: you felt like it was you know, I guess you
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: said you felt like you was that girl, and so
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: he just made you discover all these things about your sexuality.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Y'all was stay.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: Indoors for the whole weekend and walk around butt naked,
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: have sex all day and night. I never got bored
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: with him. And our drink was gin. Sipping on G
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: and juice and anything we drank had gin it.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I ain't get what it was. Ooh is kool aid?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Need something?
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: Go?
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: What is this water? I thought this was gin? Brak me? No,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: what some gin in this thing?
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: So you know all your drinks had gin it.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: You're gen girl, but that gen girl that got you
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: in trouble, and for some reason y'all broke up.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Why did they say they broke up?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Shriving because he wanted her to do threesomes, and he
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: told her to keep an open mind about doing threesomes,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: and she didn't want to do that. So she drew
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the line there.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: Oh yeah, she drew the line, you know, but you
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: did everything else, you know, and you because you said
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: he told you, he said when you go off that gin,
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: I was about.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: To see in.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but you say the gin intensified the intimacy, right, huh.
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: But you ain't never drank so much to gin' you
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: know what's going on. So you knew what was going on.
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: I even consented to be in filmed by him, and
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: we enjoyed watching the.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Movies we made.
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: But then you're gonna put the relationship on Pauls because
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: he tried to bring another chicken to the mix with us.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: He drank everything, Gay Jay, hang on, jack On, keep
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: it right there. Okay, we'll have part two of your
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter subject gin makes you sin. We'll get
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening to Steve
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Think about the people who mean the
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: most to you. Giving them valuable protection is a great

- 1:03:45Speaker 1: That's one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: or globelifradio dot com. All right, come on, Steve, Let's
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is Gin makes you sin,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: just very quickly.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: As a church girl dating a bank boy, they was
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: doing wild things together.
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: She was drinking gin and intensified the activities that they
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: was doing, and it just got crazy in it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: He y'all wanted to you know, you know, it just
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: got crazy.
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: So she decided to put a pause on the relationship
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: because he wanted to bring a third chicken there. So
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: then she was messing around and met this new guy
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: and then they started dating.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: And it was just woof.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: Y'all was wild and free, stay in doors and tie weekend,
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: walk around in your birthday suits, half sex all day
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: and night, never got bored. And the drink was gin.
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: Everything we drank had gin in it, The water had
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: gin in it, the kool aid had g in in it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: You put gin in your tea, you put g in
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: in your hot chocolate. You was ginned up. You make
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: a green drink, puts some green where different in it.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: How you gonna make the protein shake and you ain't got.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: My drink in it? So you're healthy and drunk?
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and so it intensified the intensity again. But
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: you you said, I never drank so much and I
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: didn't know what was going on. So you consented to
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: be in filmed. I bet you if you look at
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: that film, I bet you can tell you drunk. Wow,
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: or unless you was drunk watching the film.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Well yeah, yeah, Well he broke up with you.
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: That night, and then you found out that you're pregnant,
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: and you told each guy that it would be his baby.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: Well they both block you let me block her now,
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: and I trusted them to take care of me. How
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: could they take advantage of me when they're the ones
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: that made me show my wildside? No, you showed your
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: wild side. Part of you healing yourself and becoming a
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: better person is you got to take accountability for what
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: you did.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: You wanted to do all of this. You wanted to
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: make the movies.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: You wanted to be.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Freaky, you wanted to go to the club, you want
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: to bring in threesome.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: This is what happens.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: WoT you need to go to therapy. Oh I like
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: that you said that. You don't say that very often,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: but I like that you said that. I didn't mean it,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: but you take it back now.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: It just sounds good for the letter. But I tell
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: you one thing. No, she needs to go sit down.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Yeah definitely. She got a baby now, Yeah, she's got to.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: They got a baby.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Yeah, she's gonna have to raise it by herself.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: I wonder who she hopes it is. Wow, the Yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: probably didn't just the first guy.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Yeah, the one that wanted her to do a threesome
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: or the one that wanted to take her to the
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: sex party? Which one?
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: Oh, yes, she want them to do the threesome. That's
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: the that's people. But she sate part. It is just
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: door after door after door.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: You just walk through that.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Yeah, this is yeah, this is too much. I feel
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: terrible for her, you know really, Yeah I do. I don't.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I don't like that this this happened to her. I
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: mean that she allowed it to happen to her. She
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: she obviously didn't know. She says she was a quote
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: church girly, So you know what that means she was naive,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: probably young.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: You know, well, Shirley, she wasn't when she making now tapes.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Yeah, she never even cursed or drank before she started
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: dating that guy.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: I also remember mm hmm she went down there to
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: the second club.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: She was excited about it, that's the part. Yeah, when
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: he asked her about it. But she was three gen
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and tonics en though when he asked her. Remember that.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a couple of things you need to do. First,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: you need to quit drinking.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: She's got to quit drinking. You've got to And.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: Then you need to quit drinking. You need to quit
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: making films. You need to quit going down there to
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: the club. You definitely can't do threesomes. I just you
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: know what, they just go sit down somewhere.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Yeah, take care of your baby. What you want to.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Give me some good advice?
- 1:09:13Speaker 9: But is there a way we can see the tape
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: and try to analyze what actually took place?
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: To us? Why did you ask him?
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: What?
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: We can help her if we see what she's doing.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: You know you brought him in this, Steve, Why can
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: we see today?
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: You don't want to see. You don't want to see
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Okay, all right, all right, Thank you, Steve. Please leave

- 1:12:25Speaker 6: the reason why y'all go home?
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: Can he do?
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: And he talked to him, Shave that beard down or something.

- 1:12:35Speaker 5: Okay, don't. I've been trying to tell y'all how to handle.

- 1:13:36Speaker 6: and that's our sports.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: But thank you uncle reminding us that we're gonna be
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: hurt for a very long Yes, here for you, Yes, yes,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: you're gonna learn. So what do you do when you
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: hurt like this for this long? Why you get through this?
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Suffer all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: top of the hour, a wife waited up for her
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: husband to get home and it made her husband angry.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: She needs some advice. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: from San and Hoover. Sam says, I fell asleep on
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the sofa Saturday morning, Saturday evening watching a movie with
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: my husband. I woke up around nine pm and he
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: was gone. He left a note saying he was going
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: by Jeff's house and he'd be right back. He didn't
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: get in till almost one am. I asked him, really
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: he was gone so long and why he hadn't called
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: to let me know that he was okay. He'd slipped
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: the conversation and started going off on me for waiting
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: up for him to get home. He said, I'm not
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: his mama, so don't ever do that again. I didn't
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: call to question him while he was out. Instead, I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: waited for him to get home. What's so wrong with
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: waiting up for him?
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: Well, waiting up for him was what was waiting on him.
- 1:15:03Speaker 10: He didn't want to question, he didn't want he didn't
- 1:15:05Speaker 10: want the hell that came while he was waiting up
- 1:15:08Speaker 10: and go to bed.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: He can just ease on in that bed.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: You waited up for him because you wanted to put
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: something on it.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Put something on him.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Pain, Yeah, well she was in pain, not knowing where
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: he was waking up and come on, he said he
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: was over jeff house. The note, that's what the note said.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: The note, Well, let's call Jeff.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: No, well, I want to always call you want to
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: maybe you want to wake him up to.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Huh uh huh yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody can get some
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: of this.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and Jeff had taken mama to the hospital.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: You're adding to it. That's why, that's why you left
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Jeff because to take his mom to the well, I
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: went down there with him.
- 1:16:07Speaker 8: Wrong with Jeff's mom? What's wrong with I think she
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: had a heart attack? You Jf's mom had a heart attack.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Took it to the next level.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, uh huh. So where is she now?
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Still in Cincinnati?
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: What's in Cincinnati? Why would she go to Cincinnati?
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: No, she had heart attack at Cincinnati. He drove to

- 1:16:57Speaker 1: that's bad enough in itself, but you're not mean. This
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: guy was really mean. He said, I'm not his mama, sode.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Don't ever do that again. He flipped. The conversation started
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: going off on her. I haven't heard you do that

- 1:17:23Speaker 1: M hmm. You can't lie to create angle, right, and
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: you don't do that. That's what I'm saying. That's the
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: one good thing is committed to peace, then you should
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: tell the truth. Quit talking about it. But he's all
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: mean with it. Yeah, nothing good is going to come
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: of this.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: You gotta be kind when you lie.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, kind of lying. Yes, all right, she can

- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey lips.
- 1:23:35Speaker 5: You know, it's the ultar, It's the ultar top of line.
- 1:23:42Speaker 5: This is the most botox you can put in.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: That's the limity solemony ccs oh eight voles. Most people
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: buy money for lips, yeah, good money ours. Yeah. And
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: it's not just a one time thing. You have to
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: continually go and you know what I'm gonna do.
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: I'm gonna open up a school. I'm gonna open up
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: a clinic.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: What kind of clinic?
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: Yeah, Because once you get these lips, you gotta know
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: the therapy behind it. You gotta learn how to operate
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: like what they have, little white nips your whole life
- 1:24:21Speaker 5: and then next wake up tomorrow. You got these right here.
- 1:24:25Speaker 5: You you gotta go in the therapy. You gotta be trained,
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: how to talk, how to eat, how to eat soup.
- 1:24:30Speaker 5: You know, whistle get all that.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: You can make money, Steve, You can make money, baby,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: all right? Coming up next to this is our last
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: break of the day, and we'll close out the show
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: with the one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: Do you ever notice your floora still look dirty even
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean

- 1:25:19Speaker 8: or your money back?
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: All right, here we are our last break of the day.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: Great day. We had a good day, as always, Steve.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: Before we go, before your closing remarks, we had a
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: voicemail from a caller named Miss l from Chicago. She
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: listens on V one O three and she had something
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: to say, Hi.
- 1:25:41Speaker 12: Good afternoon. My name is Ellen Homes and I am
- 1:25:45Speaker 12: just calling just for us some comments. I just want
- 1:25:49Speaker 12: to say that the Feat Harvey Morning Show is a
- 1:25:52Speaker 12: great it's a great tool. It's a great show for listening.
- 1:25:58Speaker 12: I love it, I love the staff, and I especially
- 1:26:02Speaker 12: love Steve Harvey. I'm my mom, who is now in
- 1:26:06Speaker 12: heaven has gone away.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: To be with the Lord. She loved Steve Harvey.
- 1:26:11Speaker 12: So much and got so much from his inspirational and
- 1:26:16Speaker 12: motivational talks that he gives in the morning at the
- 1:26:20Speaker 12: end of the Morning show. He's such an inspiration.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: To us, uh, and we just love him.
- 1:26:27Speaker 12: He gives such good uh prep fox and inspirational talks
- 1:26:33Speaker 12: and talks about God. And you know how God has
- 1:26:36Speaker 12: blessed him and given us motivation to continue to pray
- 1:26:41Speaker 12: and to serve God. And it's such a blessing. He
- 1:26:44Speaker 12: is such a blessing. And I just wanted you guys
- 1:26:47Speaker 12: to know that I enjoy your show. I love the
- 1:26:50Speaker 12: Saturday show. Also, uh, the morning showed the old dustees
- 1:26:56Speaker 12: all and it's so wonderful to get up it clean
- 1:26:59Speaker 12: up on and and Turnday show. Also, I love gospel music.
- 1:27:05Speaker 12: But I just wanted to say about Steve Hardy. I've
- 1:27:07Speaker 12: really loved him and for him to continue on and
- 1:27:11Speaker 12: that got to continue to let him and to continue
- 1:27:15Speaker 12: to give its motivational speeches and its moments of inspiration. Okay,
- 1:27:20Speaker 12: thank you, I appreciate you guys.
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: Got less Yeah, you know what, And that kind of
- 1:27:29Speaker 5: leads me into my closing remarks to it. I thank
- 1:27:32Speaker 5: her for that because faith has been an integral part
- 1:27:37Speaker 5: of my life. It has been the cornerstone, the foundation
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: of everything that I've overcome and everything I have become.
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: See because of my faith, it has been the cornerstone
- 1:27:52Speaker 5: of everything I have overcome and everything I have become.
- 1:27:59Speaker 5: It is also the foundation my faith of things to come.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: I'm real about that. I was raised this way by
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: my mother. Illus Via Harvey gets full credit for this
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: the faith aspect of my life, and I have tried
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: to honor my promise to God. When I was out
- 1:28:26Speaker 5: there struggling, I was homeless. I made a promise to
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: him that if he let me make it, when I
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: get there, I was gonna tell everybody about him. So
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: that is what the first twelve minutes of my radio
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: show is about. That is why I dropped information about
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: God all the time. That's why a lot of times
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: in my closing remarks, I use this platform to talk
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: about my faith in God.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Now I've traveled the world.
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: And I was raised also by the same mother to
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: respect all people in all faiths. It doesn't matter that
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: a faith don't see exactly what I see. That's not
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: my calling It's not for me to judge, it is
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: for me to respect. I have friends from all faiths.
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: I have people I do business with, I have associates.
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: But I know a lot of Jewish people. I know
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: a lot of Muslim people. I know a lot of
- 1:29:32Speaker 5: Islamic people. I know people from all faiths. I respect
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: them all because I was taught that. So whatever you
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: hear about me, know the fact you can just base
- 1:29:50Speaker 5: it on everything you've ever heard me say.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: I talk about it.
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: Because of his goodness, because of his grace, because of
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: his favor, because of his mercy. And you got to
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: be careful, man, when you're out there and you hear
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: people talking all the time. When you hear people out
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: there slamming other people, you got to understand why they
- 1:30:09Speaker 5: slaming other people. Who gives them the power and the right.
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: Somebody said out there, I'm not gonna say no names
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: or that, but somebody said that Steve Harvey starting a
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: new religion called Chris Slam.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: I've never said that. Why would I? Who am I
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: to start a religion?
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: I have a religion, I have a faith, I have
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: a God, I have a Jesus, I have a method
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: of prayer, I'm not changing that. That's the way I
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: was raised. But can I not honor people for who
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: they are? Because I have Muslim friends that are doing very,
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: very well. They believe in God, just like I believe
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: in God who am I?
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: And it works.
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: I got a partner of mine who pray five times
- 1:31:01Speaker 5: a day. The average Christian don't do that. He lives
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: a successful life. He's a great person, a great family man.
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: I just happened to honor face. When you hear somebody
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: talking about Steve harved and starting new religion, you ain't
- 1:31:17Speaker 5: never heard me say nothing like that. And I dispel
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: all of that, and I stand on that. I stand
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: on my faith in who I am. I've been, I've
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: been this way the whole time. You ain't never heard
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: me wave or jump off this hill boat.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: That's me.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: That's the God I serve, that's.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: The faith I have.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: I don't know all the scriptures, but I know enough
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: that then got me here, and I know enough that's
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: gonna get me the rest of the way. Be careful
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: who you hear things from. Everybody standing up there talking
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: bouty Maine foids.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Just be careful.
- 1:31:51Speaker 5: Y'all know God for yourself have your faith together for yourself.
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: Those are my clothes remarks. Hey, listen, talk to God today, y'all.
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: He loved to hear from your kite.
