- 1:24Speaker 1: My next guest is a music icon, a music icon.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I've been knowing him and been playing and been praying
- 1:31Speaker 1: with his music for the last twenty five years, so
- 1:33Speaker 1: I know what he can do. He's worn over twelve
- 1:35Speaker 1: Grammys and forty three Stellar Awards and sold over ten
- 1:39Speaker 1: million albums. I'm included in that sale of ten million
- 1:42Speaker 1: albums or c d s. Please welcome the money making
- 1:44Speaker 1: conversation the founder and CEO of FO Your Soul Entertainment,
- 1:48Speaker 1: Kurt Franklin, Sir, Sir, my man, Kurt Kirk, got a
- 1:55Speaker 1: lot of things happening here. It's all about business because
- 1:58Speaker 1: you're entrepreneur and that's why this short design. I've talked
- 2:01Speaker 1: about celebrities like you who learned that I got success
- 2:05Speaker 1: on the stage, I got success in theaters, I got
- 2:08Speaker 1: success in music, I got success and acting. But I
- 2:11Speaker 1: can generate revenue and opportunities with my brand. And that's
- 2:15Speaker 1: what foreshow entertainment is about, right, you know it is
- 2:19Speaker 1: good opportunity, man, to um do that um with the
- 2:25Speaker 1: primary agenda of just keeping the conversation of God and
- 2:29Speaker 1: hope within the culture and to be able to see
- 2:32Speaker 1: that compassion and commerce can coexist. So I'm very grateful
- 2:39Speaker 1: for that opportunity. Yeah, man, thank you. And it's good
- 2:42Speaker 1: to hear your voice again. Bro. Well you know I
- 2:45Speaker 1: hear your voice all the time, Kurt. You know what
- 2:46Speaker 1: I'm saying because because I you just you just special man,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I got I got a complimented. Uh. When I've had
- 2:53Speaker 1: down days, your music have made me uplifted me. And
- 2:56Speaker 1: that's not just me, hundreds and thousands and millions of
- 3:00Speaker 1: peple around this world have been uplifted by your music.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And when I just gotta say, when you when you
- 3:04Speaker 1: when you hear something like that, does it put pressure
- 3:07Speaker 1: on you or you just makes you feel good and
- 3:09Speaker 1: let you know God has put you in the right
- 3:10Speaker 1: direction with your life very humbling and then at times
- 3:16Speaker 1: if you don't have the right lens on that day,
- 3:18Speaker 1: because you know, when you wake up every morning, you
- 3:21Speaker 1: may not always have the right leans on. So that
- 3:24Speaker 1: maybe days when you have the wrong lens zone and
- 3:26Speaker 1: you can't feel pressure because you've got yourself lands on.
- 3:30Speaker 1: You know, it's it's very um consumed with you and
- 3:34Speaker 1: thinking that you're the one that got you here, realizing
- 3:38Speaker 1: that you know, it's more about you're being used by
- 3:41Speaker 1: God to make an impact on culture and in people's lives.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And so man, as I think the lords that opportunity. Man,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you've always feel to me been a leader in music,
- 3:51Speaker 1: you know, be the leader. And also I have a
- 3:54Speaker 1: young voice. You know, we have a generation out there.
- 3:57Speaker 1: They call it the millennial generation. Entrepreneurship to the UH.
- 4:01Speaker 1: When you when you speak of the word of God
- 4:03Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, you think of trying to get that word
- 4:06Speaker 1: and get it understood to the masses. Do you find
- 4:09Speaker 1: that there's a different level of music U tune in
- 4:12Speaker 1: to the younger generation. Just it works. The Kirk Frankling
- 4:17Speaker 1: years ago is still working today. For everybody you know,
- 4:20Speaker 1: as I just really try to make sure that my
- 4:23Speaker 1: goal is authenticity. I think that awesome that that when
- 4:28Speaker 1: the goal is authenticity, who is supposed to speak to
- 4:32Speaker 1: that it will find this place to that. I think
- 4:34Speaker 1: that sometimes that you can try to start chasing certain demographics,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and when you start to do that, I think that
- 4:40Speaker 1: you begin to fail and you begin to lose your
- 4:42Speaker 1: own authentic books. I think that that one things that
- 4:46Speaker 1: millennials or any generation probably response to more than anything else.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It's just authenticity and whatever that is. You'll be able
- 4:55Speaker 1: to develop a very core audience that will be a
- 4:58Speaker 1: very loyal audience and show no matter what's happening sonically
- 5:04Speaker 1: with the conversation of music or or anything. When it
- 5:10Speaker 1: comes to the arts and pop culture, that's all about
- 5:13Speaker 1: what is your message? Who who are you specifically trying
- 5:16Speaker 1: to reach and and and when you do that, you
- 5:20Speaker 1: can be able to build a brand in the community
- 5:22Speaker 1: that will be able to follow you and to be
- 5:24Speaker 1: able to trust you with their that money, the time
- 5:28Speaker 1: and the money. That's the key, trusting you with their money,
- 5:32Speaker 1: because we know it's hard earned. Now you have a
- 5:34Speaker 1: unique partnership with Live Nation tell us a little bit
- 5:37Speaker 1: about this is the Exodus Music and Arts Festival. I'm
- 5:41Speaker 1: excited our in Dallas, Texas is that memorial. We can
- 5:45Speaker 1: memorial we can Yeah. I see barbecue. I see barbecue
- 5:52Speaker 1: and they can bring it. Man, you know this this
- 5:54Speaker 1: is a a area. This is a very epic moment
- 5:57Speaker 1: and historic moment to me because with in the genre
- 6:00Speaker 1: of gospel music, cars or if you want to call
- 6:03Speaker 1: an inspiration of music, it has never had its own Coachella.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's never had its own essence music festival weekend. Now
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's never possessed that. And so are now for the
- 6:15Speaker 1: first time ever in history, we are going to be
- 6:18Speaker 1: building our own music festival that that It's going to
- 6:22Speaker 1: be built, uh, with a very vertical lens, you know,
- 6:26Speaker 1: bringing up, bringing all glory to God. You know, I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: a Christian. I ain't ashamed to that. I love my Man.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I want to be one hunding about him and I
- 6:33Speaker 1: want to be able to create inspirational and aspirational entertainment
- 6:38Speaker 1: that people can come and be inspired and and and
- 6:41Speaker 1: then maybe even grow at to a two or three
- 6:44Speaker 1: day weekend in the future where there's whether seminars and
- 6:47Speaker 1: there's classes, and and and there's many different things that
- 6:50Speaker 1: can help people be able to build, whether whether it's
- 6:53Speaker 1: digital platforms or our scripts and movies are different type
- 6:57Speaker 1: of ideas that are aspirational and inspirational in their in
- 7:01Speaker 1: their their their the ideology within their content and so
- 7:06Speaker 1: uh they act as music and are special. It's something
- 7:08Speaker 1: that I'm extreme excited about, men because it will be
- 7:12Speaker 1: our own and it will be our first and and
- 7:15Speaker 1: and I appreciate all the good people that Live Nation
- 7:18Speaker 1: uh for the brand partnership. And it's a plus. It's
- 7:22Speaker 1: a plus partnership there with Live Nation. You know that. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 1: now here's the thing about it. I will just tell
- 7:29Speaker 1: you this. Only you could pull this off, my friend,
- 7:31Speaker 1: because you have the charisma, you have the brand, and
- 7:35Speaker 1: you have the relationships. That's what this is all about.
- 7:38Speaker 1: The relationship. Memorial we can that's perfect. Memorial Weekend, That's perfect.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. And and
- 7:47Speaker 1: you know, thank you for this opportunity for me to
- 7:49Speaker 1: let people know, for people to be aware and to
- 7:52Speaker 1: being formed that we are wanting to curate an event
- 7:57Speaker 1: that will give them a weekend, a weekend of a gospel,
- 8:03Speaker 1: a a weekend of a message that that is not
- 8:06Speaker 1: something that just we We don't want to just tackle
- 8:08Speaker 1: your emotions. We want to be able to speak to
- 8:10Speaker 1: your life. Now, let's talk about the whole aspect of
- 8:14Speaker 1: the putting together a show like this. Are you the
- 8:16Speaker 1: producer or use your name is just attached to it?
- 8:19Speaker 1: A Live Nation? How long all the production? Because I
- 8:21Speaker 1: just want people to understand how these events come about.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You have a brand, you go to another big brand
- 8:26Speaker 1: like Live Nation. Now you have this big event that
- 8:29Speaker 1: you said it's a single day now, but the future
- 8:32Speaker 1: is for it to be a two to three day event. Yes, yes, yes, Um,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I'm going to be UM, I am a I am
- 8:41Speaker 1: a joint owner of the intellectual product. It was it
- 8:46Speaker 1: was an idea that that there has for Yes, so
- 8:49Speaker 1: it's a it's a fifty fifty partnership with Live Nation.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'll be curating the content, the production, um curating the
- 8:58Speaker 1: talent and and and just saw the perspectives that come

- 9:14Speaker 1: accident and Kurt Franklin, don't hit the stage. Now that's that.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'll be mad. Now let's talk about other great people
- 9:19Speaker 1: who'll be there, because all of them great. Kurt Franklin,
- 9:22Speaker 1: Marvin Sam, Tamila Man, come on, it's your show, Kurt,
