- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Senator Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you, Senator,
- 0:05Speaker 2: We've got a lot to chat about tonight, and including
- 0:08Speaker 2: this bill and funding over the Ukraine War. I want
- 0:12Speaker 2: you to walk us through what happened. But before we
- 0:14Speaker 2: get to that, there is some news that deals with
- 0:17Speaker 2: the impeachment inquiry into the President United States of America,
- 0:20Speaker 2: Joe Biden, and there are people that are giving testimony
- 0:24Speaker 2: now in a shocking opening statement from Tony Bobolinski. Tony
- 0:29Speaker 2: Bobolinski is someone that knows the Biden crime family. He's
- 0:32Speaker 2: an individual that was a whistleblower before election day to
- 0:35Speaker 2: remind people of that, and then he went and sat
- 0:37Speaker 2: down with the FBI for several hours. He had multiple
- 0:41Speaker 2: electronic communication devices, cell phones, he had documents, he had
- 0:46Speaker 2: everything about the Biden crime family, and not a single
- 0:50Speaker 2: person ever followed up with him. Not only that, no
- 0:53Speaker 2: one at the DOJ, none of the special prosecutors, none
- 0:57Speaker 2: of those that were investigating at the IRS ever contacted
- 1:00Speaker 2: him for anything that he had about the Biden crime family,
- 1:04Speaker 2: a family that he worked with extensively. He also confirmed
- 1:08Speaker 2: he had meetings with Joe Biden and then he had
- 1:10Speaker 2: an opening statement today that was remarkable. Tell everybody about
- 1:14Speaker 2: what all he said.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Well, in his opening statement, here's what Tony Bobolinski said.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And I want you to focus, in particular on how
- 1:21Speaker 3: much he is talking about Joe Biden, not Hunter. The media,
- 1:25Speaker 3: the Democrats want to make it all about Hunter, but
- 1:28Speaker 3: I want you to focus on how much this is
- 1:30Speaker 3: about Joe Biden's personal corruption.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Here's what he said. Quote.
- 1:34Speaker 3: I want to be crystal clear. From my direct personal
- 1:37Speaker 3: experience and what I have subsequently come to learn, it
- 1:41Speaker 3: is clear to me that Joe Biden was quote the
- 1:44Speaker 3: brand being sold by the Biden family, His family's foreign
- 1:50Speaker 3: influence peddling operation from China to Ukraine and elsewhere, sold
- 1:57Speaker 3: out to foreign actors who were making to gain influence
- 2:01Speaker 3: and access to Joe Biden and the United States government.
- 2:05Speaker 3: He was an enabler, despite being buffered by a complex
- 2:09Speaker 3: scheme to maintain plausible deniability. The only reason any of
- 2:16Speaker 3: these international business transactions took place, with tens of millions
- 2:21Speaker 3: of dollars flowing directly to the Biden family was because
- 2:26Speaker 3: Joe Biden was in high office. The Biden family business
- 2:32Speaker 3: was Joe Biden period. Other key players have made this
- 2:37Speaker 3: point clear as well. Hunter Biden himself has adamantly stated
- 2:42Speaker 3: in a variety of communications, as did another Biden family
- 2:46Speaker 3: business associate, Devon Archer, in his testimony last year. Foreign
- 2:52Speaker 3: nationals on the other side of these transactions, including from China, Ukraine,
- 2:59Speaker 3: and Romania, have also explained how and why these transactions
- 3:03Speaker 3: took place. Once again, I would call that evidence extensive.
- 3:09Speaker 3: And then Babbelinski gets into some details focusing on China. Quote,
- 3:14Speaker 3: the Chinese Communist Party, through its surrogate, China Energy Company
- 3:20Speaker 3: Limited or CEFC, a CCP linked Chinese energy conglomerate, successfully
- 3:28Speaker 3: sought to infiltrate and compromise Joe Biden and the Obama
- 3:34Speaker 3: Biden Whitehouse. The process started in the fourth quarter of
- 3:39Speaker 3: twenty fifteen and continued through when Joe Biden left office
- 3:44Speaker 3: in January twenty seventeen to March of twenty eighteen, when
- 3:50Speaker 3: CEFC chairman Ye was detained for corruption in China, never
- 3:58Speaker 3: to be seen again. Note that on October twenty first,
- 4:03Speaker 3: twenty fifteen, Joe Biden announced that he would not seek
- 4:07Speaker 3: the presidency in twenty sixteen. It is not a coincidence
- 4:13Speaker 3: that CEFC's aggressive approach to the Biden family happened around
- 4:19Speaker 3: that time. It is also not a coincidence that CFC
- 4:25Speaker 3: used the Biden family's weakest link, Hunter Biden, and the
- 4:30Speaker 3: promise of large sums of money to the tune of
- 4:34Speaker 3: tens of millions of dollars initially and eventually the profits
- 4:39Speaker 3: from investing billions of dollars in the United States and
- 4:44Speaker 3: around the world.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You hear that.
- 4:47Speaker 2: And this opening statement is one that shocked me because
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's clear that Tony Bobolinski is saying I need everyone
- 4:55Speaker 2: to know this. I witnessed it, I saw it, I
- 4:58Speaker 2: was therefore it and no, no one is listening to
- 5:01Speaker 2: what happened here in our government, no one sitting down
- 5:04Speaker 2: and asking any of these questions. Thank you for having
- 5:07Speaker 2: me to basically Congress to tell you what I've been
- 5:10Speaker 2: trying to tell the American people and the authorities. And
- 5:14Speaker 2: that is the most shocking part of all.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's exactly right. The six o'clock News doesn't
- 5:19Speaker 3: cover this, The Washington Post doesn't cover this, The New
- 5:22Speaker 3: York Times doesn't cover this. Let me reach you some
- 5:24Speaker 3: more from this opening statement, because every paragraph is a
- 5:28Speaker 3: bombshell it continues quote Joe Biden was aware of the
- 5:33Speaker 3: CEFC transaction, he enabled it, and had a constitutional responsibility
- 5:39Speaker 3: and obligation to the American people to shut it down
- 5:42Speaker 3: before it began. This is because CEFC had been identified
- 5:47Speaker 3: as a known surrogate of the Chinese Communist Party by
- 5:51Speaker 3: the US government and prosecutors in the Southern District of
- 5:54Speaker 3: New York as far back as twenty sixteen, possibly earlier.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I would encourage Congress to gather all of the exact
- 6:03Speaker 3: facts and date. It is clear to me that alarm
- 6:06Speaker 3: bell should have been going off of theden the Obama
- 6:09Speaker 3: Biden White House, and that Joe Biden should have been
- 6:12Speaker 3: aware that his own administration had red flag CEFC as
- 6:17Speaker 3: a tool of the Chinese Communist Party. That should have
- 6:21Speaker 3: made any business transaction with CEFC a non starter. And
- 6:26Speaker 3: let me just stop and say, holy crap. Yes, like like,
- 6:30Speaker 3: I've been in the Senate twelve years, I don't know
- 6:32Speaker 3: a senator, all right. I was about to say, I
- 6:34Speaker 3: don't know a senator who would do that, and then
- 6:36Speaker 3: I thought about Bob Menendez. Yes, I do know a
- 6:38Speaker 3: senator who's currently under indictment for corruption by being approached
- 6:43Speaker 3: by Egypt. Now Egypt happens to be an ally of ours.
- 6:46Speaker 3: It's not even the Chinese Communist Party. But how the
- 6:50Speaker 3: hell does any sane elected official not just walk away
- 6:55Speaker 3: but turn and run.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and not just run, but even think want to
- 7:00Speaker 2: report it just to be on the record of like, Hey,
- 7:02Speaker 2: I was approached for this, and I want to make
- 7:04Speaker 2: sure everybody knows that I knew that this was bad
- 7:06Speaker 2: and I didn't want to be.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Involved in it.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And yet this is what the Biden family seemed to
- 7:12Speaker 2: be seeking out, which is what Bob Olenski is saying here.
- 7:16Speaker 2: It also goes to another point of reporting before you
- 7:19Speaker 2: read a couple more points in there that he said
- 7:21Speaker 2: in his opening statement. Catherine Heritage, who actually was laid
- 7:25Speaker 2: off within hours of her reporting on how Biden may
- 7:30Speaker 2: have quote retained sensitive documents related to specific countries involving
- 7:35Speaker 2: his family's foreign business dealings. This coming from the committees.
- 7:41Speaker 2: We've talked with, James Comer, We've talked to Jim Jordan said,
- 7:43Speaker 2: quote the committees require this Biden slash her interview transcript.
- 7:49Speaker 2: There is concern that President Biden may have retained sensitive
- 7:52Speaker 2: documents related to specific countries involving his famili's foreign business dealings.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That is what she posted on Twitter from these documents
- 8:02Speaker 2: that she got from the committees. And this was a
- 8:05Speaker 2: letter that went to the Honorable Garland from these committees,
- 8:09Speaker 2: and it was simply saying, we believe, from what we've
- 8:13Speaker 2: been told, the President Biden may have retained these documents
- 8:18Speaker 2: related to these countries involving his family and families foreign
- 8:21Speaker 2: business dealings. And further, the committee says, we seek to
- 8:24Speaker 2: understand whether the White House or President Biden's personal attorneys
- 8:27Speaker 2: placed any limitations or scoping restrictions during the interview that
- 8:32Speaker 2: would have precluded a line of inquiry regarding evidence emails,
- 8:37Speaker 2: text messages, or witness statements directly linking the president to
- 8:42Speaker 2: troublesome foreign payments. You combine that with what Bob Olenski's saying,
- 8:47Speaker 2: and they line up about one hundred percent.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Well, that's exactly right. And recall that when Robert Hurr
- 8:54Speaker 3: was appointed, we said on this podcast, the tell of
- 9:00Speaker 3: whether DOJ wants to cover up malfeasance by the White
- 9:04Speaker 3: House is whether there's an investigation into the nexus between
- 9:10Speaker 3: the documents, the classified documents that Joe Biden had illegally
- 9:15Speaker 3: and the foreign entities paying the Biden family tens of
- 9:20Speaker 3: millions of dollars, and as best we can tell, that
- 9:23Speaker 3: was not investigated by DOJ. Now, this is what James
- 9:26Speaker 3: Comer and Jim Jordan are trying to get to the
- 9:28Speaker 3: bottom of to find out what is the connection. And
- 9:32Speaker 3: you know, look, I got to stop and say, Catherine
- 9:33Speaker 3: Herriage has been really a unicorn. She has been a
- 9:38Speaker 3: reporter for the corporate media for CBS, and she's been
- 9:42Speaker 3: willing to actually report on the Biden corruption. So what
- 9:46Speaker 3: did CBS do today? They laid her off. They fired her.
- 9:51Speaker 3: They said, you know what, we had one person in
- 9:54Speaker 3: our entire staff doing journalism. We've decided we don't need
- 9:57Speaker 3: any journalism at this outlet. You're out of a job.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And by the way, not just amazing journalism, journalism that
- 10:05Speaker 2: was above reproach and a history of it.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And you notice, yes, I understand that layoffs happen.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I get that at CBS, but she was someone that
- 10:14Speaker 2: was doing unbelievable reporting at the highest level in Washingt
- 10:19Speaker 2: d C. On the biggest news stories that involve our government.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And just hours after she puts this out there, like yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 2: we're gonna get rid of you too.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I mean, it was three percent of the workforce.
- 10:28Speaker 2: You're telling me you couldn't have kept her in this
- 10:30Speaker 2: very important reporting position.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Give me a break.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Well, CBS is corrupt. Unfortunately, so is ABC, so is NBC,
- 10:40Speaker 3: so is CNN, so ISMSNBC. They have all abandoned any
- 10:45Speaker 3: pretense of journalism, and they are advocates, and so somehow
- 10:50Speaker 3: Catherine Herridge slipped through the crut cracks and CBS it
- 10:54Speaker 3: is not accidental that when they're doing layoffs they decide, nope,
- 10:58Speaker 3: we can have noiceent from the orthodoxy. We have a
- 11:02Speaker 3: mission here and that mission, let's be clear, is to
- 11:05Speaker 3: defeat Donald Trump. And everything she was reporting that was
- 11:08Speaker 3: inconvenient to that was contrary to their narrative, and therefore
- 11:11Speaker 3: they let her go.
- 11:12Speaker 2: And they've silenced that narrative now completely by getting rid
- 11:16Speaker 2: of her.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Welcome to CBS News.
- 11:18Speaker 2: For ten years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian
- 11:21Speaker 2: conservative wireless provider. And I'm proud to say I have
- 11:25Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile. When I look down at my phone in
- 11:27Speaker 2: the top left hand corner, it says on my homescreen
- 11:30Speaker 2: Patriot And I know that I'm making a difference every
- 11:33Speaker 2: single time I pay my bill. Patriot Mobile does something
- 11:36Speaker 2: that's amazing. They take a percentage of your bill every
- 11:39Speaker 2: month and they give it back to conservative causes that
- 11:43Speaker 2: you help choose the support I'm talking about standing up

- 11:58Speaker 2: is this important. Well, if you're with Big Mobile, you're
- 12:01Speaker 2: actually funding the left. You may not realize, but they
- 12:04Speaker 2: give millions of dollars to Democratic causes candidates including back

- 12:12Speaker 2: they give big donations to Planned Parenthood. So stop giving

- 12:55Speaker 2: Com slash Verdict or nine seven to two Patriot Now Center.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Before we get into.
- 13:01Speaker 2: And I know everybody wants to hear your thoughts on
- 13:03Speaker 2: this Ukraine funding bill that it worked its way through
- 13:06Speaker 2: the Senate, I do want to connect what we just
- 13:09Speaker 2: told the audience about Tony Bobolinsky to something else. It's
- 13:12Speaker 2: also not being covered by the media, and that is
- 13:15Speaker 2: the House Oversight Judiciary committees have released Rob Walker's transcript
- 13:20Speaker 2: as well as their finding that deal a lot more
- 13:23Speaker 2: with the Chinese Communist parties connection to this Chinese energy
- 13:28Speaker 2: company CEFC and chairman Ye as well as others that
- 13:32Speaker 2: were in attendance with meetings that dealt directly with Joe Biden.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Well, that's right, and when you combine the two, when
- 13:40Speaker 3: you look at Bobolinsky's opening statement and then you look
- 13:43Speaker 3: at the testimony from Rob Walker, it paints an incredibly
- 13:47Speaker 3: damning picture of Joe Biden's personal complicity. So James Comber
- 13:51Speaker 3: tweeted out a series of tweets specifying exactly what it is,
- 13:55Speaker 3: Rob Walker said. And here's what Comber tweeted out about
- 13:59Speaker 3: the Bob Walker testimony. Around the time Hunter Biden and
- 14:04Speaker 3: his associates received a three million dollar payment from a
- 14:09Speaker 3: CEFC entity, Joe Biden attended a CEFC meeting at the
- 14:16Speaker 3: Four Seasons in Washington.
- 14:18Speaker 2: D C.
- 14:19Speaker 3: CFC chairman Yi Jingmang and other CEFC officials were in attendance.
- 14:26Speaker 3: In other words, let's just take that first tweet, Hunter
- 14:30Speaker 3: Biden's associates get three million dollars at the same time
- 14:34Speaker 3: Joe Biden is personally meeting with the chairman of CEFC,
- 14:38Speaker 3: the Communist Party energy company. Now let's go back to
- 14:42Speaker 3: what Comer put out. Hunter Biden's associates work with CFC,
- 14:46Speaker 3: a Chinese government linked energy company, began in February twenty sixteen,
- 14:51Speaker 3: when Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States. However,
- 14:55Speaker 3: Hunter Biden and his associates were not paid until after
- 15:00Speaker 3: Joe Biden left office. Rob Walker admitted Hunter Biden's last
- 15:04Speaker 3: name would quote probably get people in the door, and
- 15:08Speaker 3: he had a letter he drafted to CEFC director Zang
- 15:13Speaker 3: placed on Hunter Biden's letterhead because he was the son
- 15:17Speaker 3: of the vice president at the time, Rob Walker's account,
- 15:22Speaker 3: Robinson Walker LLC, received the three million dollar payment from
- 15:26Speaker 3: the CFC entity on March first, twenty seventeen. The next day,
- 15:34Speaker 3: he wired one million and sixty five thousand dollars to
- 15:38Speaker 3: James Gilliar, a Biden family associate, and then over the
- 15:43Speaker 3: course of several months, wired incremental payments to the bidens,
- 15:48Speaker 3: totaling around one million, sixty five thousand dollars. Rob Walker
- 15:54Speaker 3: told investigators Hunter asked him to send incremental payments to
- 15:59Speaker 3: various Biden accounts, including Halle Biden and James Biden, who
- 16:06Speaker 3: were not affiliated with the CEFC deal.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Now, to be clear, this goes back to exactly what
- 16:12Speaker 2: James Comer said to us the last time we sat
- 16:14Speaker 2: down with him, which was this is money laundering. This is, yes,
- 16:19Speaker 2: moving money from accounts to.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Accounts, breaking it up in pieces, sending it all over
- 16:23Speaker 3: the place, hiding where it's coming from. That's called money laundering.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, And there is no service that's being rendered by
- 16:30Speaker 2: any of the bidens that are being paid. They're not
- 16:33Speaker 2: selling anything. There's no actual business activities within these accounts.
- 16:38Speaker 2: It's just cleaning the money laundering the money and giving
- 16:41Speaker 2: it to this person and that person with the Biden
- 16:44Speaker 2: last name, funneling all into the Biden crime family. And
- 16:47Speaker 2: this now back set up without a shadow of a
- 16:49Speaker 2: doubt that this was how they've been running business, not
- 16:52Speaker 2: just for a year or two, this is apparently how
- 16:55Speaker 2: they've been doing business the entire time.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Yeah, look at another thing in the Rob Lawucker transcript.
- 17:01Speaker 3: It's not just China, it's Ukraine, it's Russia, it's Romania.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Here here's another portion. During the Obama Biden administration, Hunter Biden,
- 17:11Speaker 3: Rob Walker and James Gillier had a lucrative contract with
- 17:16Speaker 3: Romanian businessmen Gabriel Papa Visiou, who was under investigation. Walker
- 17:25Speaker 3: was unable to articulate what services the partners provided for.
- 17:30Speaker 3: I don't know, what do you think would be a
- 17:31Speaker 3: good amount for some Romanian businessman to hire the son
- 17:35Speaker 3: of the Vice president.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I mean, I'm assuming you know they like to deal
- 17:38Speaker 2: with millions, right, So let's stick with that.
- 17:41Speaker 3: How about this one hundred and eighty thousand dollars a month.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how you get to millions real fast.
- 17:49Speaker 3: One hundred and eighty thousand monthly from Papa issue. The
- 17:53Speaker 3: payments ended abruptly shortly after Joe Biden left the vice presidency.
- 18:01Speaker 3: It ain't subtle, no, not at all. What services did
- 18:05Speaker 3: Hunter provide? Well, those services ended as long as Daddy
- 18:09Speaker 3: was no longer Vice president.
- 18:11Speaker 2: By the way, if you just want to do simple
- 18:13Speaker 2: math to put this in perspective of hard working Americans,
- 18:17Speaker 2: they this romanian was paying the Biden family six grand
- 18:21Speaker 2: basically every day.
- 18:23Speaker 3: And you know what, in my experience, people don't give
- 18:27Speaker 3: away money for nothing. They were getting something and it
- 18:31Speaker 3: was not complex legal advice from Hunter Biden.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Let's also dive in just for a second, and I
- 18:39Speaker 2: want your opinion Joe Biden over and over again. And
- 18:42Speaker 2: we played the montage in the show before of him
- 18:45Speaker 2: saying I never had anything to do with my son's
- 18:47Speaker 2: business dealings. I never talked business with them. We have
- 18:49Speaker 2: these firewalls between him and me. He also then when
- 18:53Speaker 2: it came to the issues of China, said I never
- 18:55Speaker 2: made it. My family's never made a dime from China.
- 18:57Speaker 2: We've never done a business with China. I've never made
- 18:59Speaker 2: any money from China. How dare you say that? And
- 19:01Speaker 2: then said you should be looking at Donald Trump and
- 19:04Speaker 2: investigating him, right, that's the line. Not only was he
- 19:08Speaker 2: lying on both of those accounts, he also then had
- 19:10Speaker 2: this lie, which was he never talked business with him,
- 19:13Speaker 2: He never met with any of his been associates. This
- 19:16Speaker 2: is a new dinner we didn't know about. This is
- 19:19Speaker 2: outside the Cafe Milano dinners that he had with other
- 19:23Speaker 2: people from China as well as from Russia and Romania.
- 19:26Speaker 2: So it looks like the product, which was Joe Biden
- 19:31Speaker 2: and this all deals with his impeachment inquiry, was a
- 19:34Speaker 2: product that had to go to dinner with some of
- 19:37Speaker 2: the shadiest figures in the world to get the money flowing.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Well, listen, that's exactly right. What was being sold here,
- 19:45Speaker 3: I believe was not just access, It was favors from
- 19:49Speaker 3: Joe Biden. And what is so striking about the testimony,
- 19:53Speaker 3: about the transcript that was released is how much of
- 19:56Speaker 3: this connects directly to Joe. The corporate media doesn't want
- 19:59Speaker 3: to focus on it, but that of course is exactly
- 20:02Speaker 3: why the House is open an impeachment inquiry.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be important to see exactly what
- 20:08Speaker 2: happens with this moving forward.
- 20:09Speaker 1: We're going to keep you updated on it.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I also want to get to this really important vote
- 20:13Speaker 2: that took place in the Senate and for you to
- 20:16Speaker 2: break it down. But first let me tell you about
- 20:17Speaker 2: our friends over at Freedom Gold. You may have seen
- 20:19Speaker 2: what happened on Wall Street with the inflation numbers that
- 20:23Speaker 2: have come out, and there were some big losses on
- 20:25Speaker 2: Wall Street, one of the worst days we've had in
- 20:27Speaker 2: a long time. And that is exactly why many people
- 20:31Speaker 2: are looking to gold right now around the world to
- 20:33Speaker 2: protect their hard earned assets. Inflation is heavily eroding your
- 20:38Speaker 2: purchasing power. It's putting your savings, your retirement accounts, and

- 21:55Speaker 2: are a lot of Americans that are very angry that
- 21:58Speaker 2: so many republic Wilans defected and did this deal with
- 22:04Speaker 2: Democrats to send more funding to Ukraine than we'll be
- 22:08Speaker 2: spent to secure our southern border, putting Americans last and
- 22:11Speaker 2: putting others first around the world. And this money we
- 22:14Speaker 2: don't have, We're gonna have to borrow this money. We're
- 22:17Speaker 2: gonna have to pay interest on this money. And it
- 22:19Speaker 2: seems like there's no in insight for the obsession with
- 22:22Speaker 2: sending money to Ukraine. We're sending more money to them
- 22:24Speaker 2: than to Israel as well. Why did so many Democrats
- 22:31Speaker 2: get along so well with so many Republicans on this one?
- 22:34Speaker 2: How is it that so many Republicans can't just stand
- 22:37Speaker 2: their ground.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Well, it's incredibly frustrating. Look, you and I are recording this.
- 22:42Speaker 3: It is ten oh seven pm Texas time on Tuesday night.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I started this day this morning at a little after
- 22:49Speaker 3: five am, voting on the Senate floor. And the reason
- 22:52Speaker 3: we were voting at five am is because Chuck Schumer
- 22:55Speaker 3: had kept the Senate in all night in order to
- 22:58Speaker 3: try to force this vote through, and he succeeded. The
- 23:02Speaker 3: vote was seventy to twenty nine. In other words, seventy
- 23:06Speaker 3: senators voted yes, twenty nine voted no. All the Democrats
- 23:12Speaker 3: except three voted for the funding bill, and yet there
- 23:20Speaker 3: were just twenty nine of us. I was a no.
- 23:23Speaker 3: There were twenty nine of US, and that was twenty
- 23:25Speaker 3: six Republicans and three Democrats who voted no. And listen,
- 23:30Speaker 3: my reasons for voting no. We've talked about at length,
- 23:34Speaker 3: but it's worth revisiting. There are elements of this bill
- 23:38Speaker 3: that I support. There are even elements of this bill
- 23:40Speaker 3: that I strongly support. So for example, this bill includes
- 23:44Speaker 3: emergency military funding for Israel. I think that is incredibly important.
- 23:48Speaker 3: I think we should have passed that months ago. This
- 23:50Speaker 3: bill includes funding to help Taiwan defend itself against communist China.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I think that is very important for US national security.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Most notably, this bill contains tens of billions of dollars
- 24:05Speaker 3: of funding for Ukraine. Now, my views on that are mixed.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I think it is very important that Russia lose and
- 24:12Speaker 3: Putin loses, and there are certainly circumstances in which I
- 24:16Speaker 3: would be willing to support military funding for Ukraine to
- 24:20Speaker 3: stop Russia because I think that's in the United States's interest. However,
- 24:27Speaker 3: just a couple of months ago, every single Republican in
- 24:30Speaker 3: the Senate we stood united, and we made a united stand.
- 24:34Speaker 3: We said, we will not fund additional money for Ukraine
- 24:39Speaker 3: unlessen until we secure our own border. That we're not
- 24:44Speaker 3: going to spend billions to secure the border of another
- 24:47Speaker 3: nation until America secures our border. And we're not going
- 24:51Speaker 3: to spend billions to stop the invasion of another country
- 24:56Speaker 3: until we stop the invasion of our own country. Now,
- 25:00Speaker 3: when I said that, I meant it. Unfortunately, I think
- 25:03Speaker 3: for a lot of my colleagues they did not, because,
- 25:06Speaker 3: as you know, what happened was Chuck Schumer and the
- 25:11Speaker 3: Democrats refused to negotiate and agree to meaningful border security. Instead,
- 25:17Speaker 3: they demanded a bill that in many ways would have
- 25:20Speaker 3: made the border crisis worse, would have codified Joe Biden's
- 25:23Speaker 3: open borders, and when as soon as the bill TECHS
- 25:26Speaker 3: was released, they negotiated in secret. Within twenty four hours,
- 25:30Speaker 3: the bill had collapse because everyone reading it realized it
- 25:33Speaker 3: was a terrible bill. What Republican leadership did next, I
- 25:38Speaker 3: think was indefensible. They said, Okay, well, a few people
- 25:41Speaker 3: don't like Chuck Chuck Schumer's open border proposal, then never mind,
- 25:46Speaker 3: we'll just pass all the funding with nothing on.
- 25:49Speaker 1: The border at all.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I think that is an absurd position, But unfortunately seventy
- 25:55Speaker 3: senators just cast a vote that way.
- 25:57Speaker 2: So what happens now, because what we're hearing is that
- 26:01Speaker 2: this could move the House side Speaker Johnson has indicated.
- 26:05Speaker 1: No or probably not, This isn't going to happen.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And then now Democrats, apparently Kim Jeffreys is saying, all right, well,
- 26:12Speaker 2: they're going to get together and they're going to get
- 26:13Speaker 2: a game planned or basically ram this down everyone's throat.
- 26:17Speaker 2: What would that look like and what does that mean
- 26:19Speaker 2: moving forward? On top of the fact that the House
- 26:21Speaker 2: majority for Republicans just got slimmer as well tonight because
- 26:25Speaker 2: we've lost a special election.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Well that's exactly right. Look, if it is up to
- 26:31Speaker 3: House leadership, if it's up to the Speaker of the House,
- 26:34Speaker 3: this bill will not pass. The Speaker has said so
- 26:38Speaker 3: unequivocally that the House is not going to take up
- 26:41Speaker 3: and pass any military funding for Ukraine unlessen until it
- 26:46Speaker 3: contained serious and meaningful border security. And by the way,
- 26:49Speaker 3: the House has already passed strong border security legislation, that
- 26:53Speaker 3: is HR two. The House passed that months ago. Chuck
- 26:57Speaker 3: Schumer refused to take it up. I entered STATEHR two
- 27:00Speaker 3: in the Senate. I'm the author of HR two in
- 27:02Speaker 3: the United States Senate. I had it as an amendment
- 27:05Speaker 3: to this bill. And by the way, I was clear.
- 27:07Speaker 3: I said, you know what, if we pass HR two,
- 27:10Speaker 3: I'll vote for this bill. If we pass strong legislation
- 27:15Speaker 3: that forces Joe Biden to secure the border, I'm on board.
- 27:19Speaker 3: And Schumer said, not just no, but hell no. Refused
- 27:23Speaker 3: to allow a vote on HR two. When we were
- 27:26Speaker 3: voting this morning, I was trying very hard to get
- 27:28Speaker 3: a vote. Schumer locked down and blocked every single amendment vote.
- 27:34Speaker 3: What I expect Republican leadership in the House to do
- 27:38Speaker 3: is to take up this bill and to attach strong
- 27:42Speaker 3: border security to it and then send it back to
- 27:44Speaker 3: the Senate. That's what I think is likely to happen.
- 27:48Speaker 3: There is a chance, and you referenced it. There's some
- 27:50Speaker 3: Democrats talking about trying to do what's called a discharge petition,
- 27:54Speaker 3: which is all the House Democrats teaming up with a
- 27:57Speaker 3: handful of haw GISs Republicans to basically overrule the Speaker
- 28:04Speaker 3: of the House and force the bill onto the floor.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I don't think that will happen, and it is the
- 28:10Speaker 3: sort of move that would be just absolute rebellion by
- 28:14Speaker 3: the rank and file Republican members. And but that is
- 28:20Speaker 3: really what Mitch mcconnlin Chuck Schumer's plan is, is to
- 28:23Speaker 3: try to use this bill to directly attack the Republican
- 28:27Speaker 3: speaker of the House. And I got to say, Ben,
- 28:29Speaker 3: I don't understand why Senate Republican leadership is trying to
- 28:35Speaker 3: lead the attack on House Republican leadership.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Well, one final question this what was in it for
- 28:40Speaker 2: Republicans that just caved on this. I mean, I know,
- 28:44Speaker 2: and I'm cynical because I've been around it probably too long,
- 28:47Speaker 2: and you're probably you see it every day, so you're
- 28:50Speaker 2: cynical too. I'm like, all right, so what did you
- 28:53Speaker 2: get like to make you not listen to the American
- 28:56Speaker 2: people and just go along with this? What was the
- 28:59Speaker 2: incentive of there to side with the Democrats?
- 29:03Speaker 3: So so let me be a little more forgiving in
- 29:06Speaker 3: this sense. You know, there are folks that said, what
- 29:09Speaker 3: did they get? They're compromised. Look, in my experience, that's
- 29:12Speaker 3: not how Washington works. I don't think there's anybody with
- 29:16Speaker 3: a folder of people having, you know, sexual relations with
- 29:20Speaker 3: barnyard animals. And I don't think this is compromant. I
- 29:24Speaker 3: don't think it's And I also don't think for the
- 29:27Speaker 3: people who voted for this that what did they get?
- 29:30Speaker 3: I don't think that they're like the Biden family in
- 29:34Speaker 3: terms of making millions of dollars off of this. I
- 29:36Speaker 3: don't think that's why it happened, At least among the Republicans.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I think a great many of them passionately believe that
- 29:45Speaker 3: it is in America's interest for Ukraine to beat Russia.
- 29:49Speaker 3: And I understand that sentiment. I think Russia's winning this
- 29:52Speaker 3: war would be very, very bad for America and over
- 29:56Speaker 3: the long term would be much more expensive for American
- 29:59Speaker 3: te payers than it would be to defeat Russia and Ukraine.
- 30:02Speaker 3: So want I want Russia to lose. And I think
- 30:06Speaker 3: it's combined with there are a lot of Republican senators
- 30:10Speaker 3: that basically they don't like a fight, and in any
- 30:15Speaker 3: given fight, when you ask them, all right, let's hold
- 30:18Speaker 3: the line and say we won't do this unless we
- 30:21Speaker 3: get real border security, they look at you and say, well,
- 30:24Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer would never do that. And I don't understand
- 30:28Speaker 3: why they expect Chuck Schumer to stand strong and never blink,
- 30:32Speaker 3: and yet their solution is always, well, therefore, we got
- 30:35Speaker 3: to give Schumer what he wants. But that's temperamentally the
- 30:39Speaker 3: view of far too many Republicans in Congress.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's going to be a tough year for the Republicans,
- 30:44Speaker 2: especially on the House side, as their majority has gotten
- 30:47Speaker 2: even slimmer after we have lost a special election in
- 30:50Speaker 2: New York today as well. We're going to keep you
- 30:52Speaker 2: updated on all this, especially on what's happening with a
