- 2:17Speaker 1: I just oh no, I just trip on it. Sometimes
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think of all of all the mistakes I've made, man,
- 2:23Speaker 1: all the bad decisions I came up with. Boy, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: didn't came up with a truckload of them, y'all for real.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And it's Grace and mercy man just keeps allowing me
- 2:33Speaker 1: to exist and allows you to exist. To see, if
- 2:35Speaker 1: you're listening, if you can hear me, then you know
- 2:39Speaker 1: you've been allowed to exist also, And you know you
- 2:42Speaker 1: you've been through Grace and mercy are allowed to still
- 2:45Speaker 1: be here in spite of you know, um a lot
- 2:49Speaker 1: of decisions we may cause us to be in the predicaments. Win.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I think we all are dult enough to realize that.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I would hope so anyway, Uh, you know, it's amazing
- 2:59Speaker 1: when you meet people who when every time something wrong
- 3:02Speaker 1: with them is always somebody else's fault. They did this
- 3:05Speaker 1: to me, or they did that to me, or somebody
- 3:08Speaker 1: said this and this caused this, and I don't know why,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I can't get nobody I can trust, and I don't
- 3:13Speaker 1: know what. Uh. You know, if you peel back the banana,
- 3:17Speaker 1: oftentimes really you can always find a role that you
- 3:21Speaker 1: had in every situation. Now, I'm not saying that there
- 3:24Speaker 1: are not things that are perchance that come upon you,
- 3:28Speaker 1: because that's some evil people out there and just do
- 3:30Speaker 1: stuff to you. Ain't done nothing. I ain't talking about that.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm talking about if you really peel back to banana,
- 3:36Speaker 1: we've made decisions. Oftentimes they get us in the predicament.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You know, if you're in a bad relationship, you know,
- 3:44Speaker 1: remember somewhere in the beginning you you pick that person,
- 3:47Speaker 1: So you know, you do have to remember that part
- 3:49Speaker 1: of it, your role in it. Why, Why Lord, you
- 3:52Speaker 1: keep sending these people my way? Excuse me, God didn't
- 3:56Speaker 1: send nobody your way. Try to remember you picked them.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Just try to remember that part and so in owning
- 4:04Speaker 1: up to your end of the deal. Here's what helped
- 4:07Speaker 1: me the most in my life with my mistakes, my errors,
- 4:12Speaker 1: my flaws, my failures. This is what helped me the most.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's the fact that God is forgiving. And God is
- 4:22Speaker 1: a god of second, third, fourth, fifth, six chances. I mean,
- 4:25Speaker 1: he'll give you chance after chance. If God was God
- 4:28Speaker 1: just gave you one chance, we'd all be sunk. If
- 4:32Speaker 1: he just gave you two times to get it wrong,
- 4:34Speaker 1: we'd all be sunk, all of us. But He is
- 4:38Speaker 1: a forgiving god on so many levels, a thousand times,
- 4:42Speaker 1: one thousand times of thousands. If it's necessary, he'll forgive you.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You know. Now, there's also some consequences with our actions
- 4:51Speaker 1: that should cause us to straighten up and not have
- 4:55Speaker 1: to be forgiven for the same thing ten thousand times now.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I mean, come on, you know, if you got hard
- 5:01Speaker 1: to get set down for a major major felony, a
- 5:05Speaker 1: major major crime, and you gotta sit down for a
- 5:07Speaker 1: do some time, that time is supposed to give you
- 5:10Speaker 1: a moment of pause where when you get out you
- 5:12Speaker 1: don't do that one again. You know, you know, something
- 5:15Speaker 1: like that. So I'm not talking about the extreme, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm just talking about, you know, the mistakes and errors
- 5:20Speaker 1: that we make in life. I think his grace and mercy,
- 5:23Speaker 1: the way that He forgives us allows us to get
- 5:25Speaker 1: back up here is the thing that has really really
- 5:29Speaker 1: helped me. If you don't let your mistakes bog you down,
- 5:37Speaker 1: if you don't let your sins, your mistakes, your errors,
- 5:42Speaker 1: your slip ups, your mess ups, if you don't let
- 5:45Speaker 1: it break you down, if you don't let it define you,
- 5:49Speaker 1: and if you don't let it stop you. That's the
- 5:51Speaker 1: greatest gift, one of the greatest gifts you can get
- 5:54Speaker 1: from God. That is not allowing all of your mistakes
- 5:59Speaker 1: to stop you from forward progress, to bog you down,
- 6:03Speaker 1: to make you lay down. All Well, I guess that
- 6:05Speaker 1: if I did that, I guess I must not be
- 6:08Speaker 1: no good. Listen, we didn't all done that some form
- 6:12Speaker 1: of that. See sin and seeing in God's eyes, that's
- 6:15Speaker 1: the cool thing, you know, So you know where at
- 6:17Speaker 1: least I ain't there, So I ain't that type of person.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Hey they did this, heyy man seeing and seeing the guy.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You know, we all we all fall short somewhere around
- 6:26Speaker 1: along the line. But you can't let it bog you
- 6:29Speaker 1: down to the point where it stops you or it
- 6:33Speaker 1: defined you. Because the reason that the mistakes can't define
- 6:37Speaker 1: you is because we are all a work in progress
- 6:40Speaker 1: and that we all have made mistakes, but we all
- 6:43Speaker 1: learned from the mistakes, and the mistakes and the failures
- 6:46Speaker 1: are often very valuable gained experiences along the way, and
- 6:51Speaker 1: that's what they for. You know, Look, when you're a
- 6:53Speaker 1: little baby and you start learning how to walk, when
- 6:55Speaker 1: you first let go of that coffee table, you ain't
- 6:58Speaker 1: gonna make it all the way over that You're gonna fall,
- 7:01Speaker 1: sit down, and then you're just gonna crawl on over there. Well,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and then after a while you know somebody to get
- 7:07Speaker 1: on another end, and they call you, and you take
- 7:09Speaker 1: a couple of steps and you almost get there, and
- 7:12Speaker 1: your fall and then you crawl the rest of the way. Well,
- 7:15Speaker 1: if the fact that you let go of the coffee
- 7:17Speaker 1: table as a baby and you fail, if you if
- 7:21Speaker 1: that's what defined you, we'd all be crawling today. But
- 7:25Speaker 1: that didn't define you. That was a valuable learned gained
- 7:29Speaker 1: experience alone the way to taught you this. And life
- 7:32Speaker 1: is full of those falls. Now they become a lot
- 7:35Speaker 1: more severe, and the older you get, they become a
- 7:38Speaker 1: lot more They come with a lot more consequences the
- 7:42Speaker 1: older you get. But it's the fall is the same.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It's still the fault. You fail, you fail, and the
- 7:48Speaker 1: thing of it is that that allows you to get
- 7:51Speaker 1: back up as God is forgiving and if you don't,
- 7:54Speaker 1: if you take accept the forgiveness, you can move on.
- 7:58Speaker 1: What a lot of people do and what to think
- 8:01Speaker 1: when I'm trying to get to the day is when
- 8:03Speaker 1: you make a mistake and and you ask God for
- 8:07Speaker 1: forgiveness and he forgives you. You don't have to allow
- 8:10Speaker 1: other people to bog you down with that mistake. Every
- 8:14Speaker 1: time they see you, they bring it up. They want
- 8:17Speaker 1: to hold you accountable to your flaws and your mistakes. No, no, no,
- 8:20Speaker 1: no no no no no no no. You have got
- 8:23Speaker 1: to let it go. If God has forgiven you, but
- 8:26Speaker 1: some people won't, then you're maybe you'll just move away
- 8:29Speaker 1: from them. People see, because it's people if if you
- 8:32Speaker 1: if you let people define you by a mistake you made.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That's their way of not allowing you to move on,
- 8:38Speaker 1: not allowing you to say you've grown from that, or
- 8:41Speaker 1: not allowing you to say, hey, well that changed me.
- 8:44Speaker 1: That's the thing in my life that taught me the
- 8:46Speaker 1: lesson I needed to learn. Oh, I got people trying
- 8:49Speaker 1: to beat me up about my past all the time.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I refuse to allow that to happen. Because if God
- 8:55Speaker 1: has forgiven me for my mistake, for my sins, for
- 8:58Speaker 1: my flaws, and then who are they, who are they
- 9:02Speaker 1: to keep They're gonna they're gonna keep writing about it. No, no, no, no, man,
- 9:06Speaker 1: you can go ahead and write about it, but they
- 9:07Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to do with me. Congratulations, great story.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And you got to understand that the same way. And
- 9:13Speaker 1: then see the second part of it is the reason
- 9:17Speaker 1: that I'm able to move on is when somebody strikes me,
- 9:22Speaker 1: somebody do dirt on me, I've learned to forgive them
- 9:25Speaker 1: a lot faster now so so so I can be forgiven.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You know, there's a line in the Lord's Prayer that says,
- 9:32Speaker 1: uh forgive us our trust passes, as we forgive those
- 9:36Speaker 1: who trust passed against us. Or some some people say
- 9:40Speaker 1: forgive us our debts as we forgive our debt us.
- 9:43Speaker 1: That's I've had it both ways. But my my favorite
- 9:47Speaker 1: is forgive us. Our trust passes as we forgive those
- 9:49Speaker 1: who trust passed against us. So that means when I
- 9:52Speaker 1: go to God, I am asking God to forgive my
- 9:56Speaker 1: trust passes. Now you what you ask and God to do,
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's forgive you when you trespass, when you cross the line,
- 10:05Speaker 1: when you go outside the morality clause, when when you don't,
- 10:09Speaker 1: when you commit us it, when you do something wrong
- 10:11Speaker 1: to somebody, when you hurt somebody's feeling, you're asking God
- 10:14Speaker 1: to forgive you. But then the prayer is to forgive us.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Our trust passes as we forgive those who trust pass
- 10:20Speaker 1: against us. So when somebody come to you and say, hey, man,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I did you wrong, I mean, man, we
- 10:28Speaker 1: got to let out. We gotta take our knee off
- 10:30Speaker 1: their neck. So I've learned to forgive people a lot
- 10:33Speaker 1: quicker man, And that might help you down in your
- 10:36Speaker 1: quest to get up and move on, to let somebody
- 10:39Speaker 1: else get up and move on. Every time you see him,
- 10:42Speaker 1: You ain't got to hate on him every time you
- 10:44Speaker 1: see him. It ain't got to bring no rise up
- 10:46Speaker 1: in your spirit. Hey man, I forgive you. Let it
- 10:48Speaker 1: go down't mean we got to be friends and hang out,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but I forgive you. I don't I don't have reaction
- 10:53Speaker 1: to you no more that might help to all right,
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm just throwing it out there. You're show. Let me
- 11:01Speaker 1: have your attention needed, undivided, boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, animals,
- 11:12Speaker 1: animal trainers, circus acts, people who've been fined, heavy eats,
- 11:22Speaker 1: heavy breathers, yeah, drinkers, yeah, yeah, come on, smokers, Oh
- 11:32Speaker 1: the gospel. I don't know what their music is in
- 11:34Speaker 1: the background, but though, let me go on and get
- 11:37Speaker 1: with it. We're want to welcome y'all to the Steve
- 11:39Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. This Yeah, thank you all for joining us. Hey, look,
- 11:45Speaker 1: we want you all to have a great day, so
- 11:46Speaker 1: it's our job to get it started the right way. Yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 1: what else can we say? Let me introduce everybody, quiet storm,
- 11:58Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Kicking it off off one day vacation, yeah,
- 12:03Speaker 1: right back up in here. Why because she knew Carlin
- 12:07Speaker 1: wasn't gonna be here today and we wasn't gonna be
- 12:09Speaker 1: able to handle the news, So she came back, Ladies
- 12:13Speaker 1: and gentlemen, please give it up for the one and only.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And Tommy bribed me too. Don't forget about that. I'll
- 12:21Speaker 1: get to that in a minute. Ladies and gentlemen, high
- 12:25Speaker 1: boys moaning everybody. Yeah, I don't know why we got
- 12:32Speaker 1: this damn music, but I'm not going on with it though. Yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 1: the only man that talks in soprano. Ladies and gentleman
- 12:40Speaker 1: Junior moaning everybody. Yeah, I'm going to skip it around
- 12:49Speaker 1: a little bit. This newest member of the team championship
- 12:51Speaker 1: team being traded more than anybody on this show. Ye,
- 12:58Speaker 1: how many times was he rumored to have been let go? Finally,
- 13:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Jay Anthony bro good morning, everybody. What
- 13:08Speaker 1: is going on? What is happening? Everybody? The last end
- 13:11Speaker 1: of the question? Watch out there now, what's going on?
- 13:14Speaker 1: What's going on? What's going on? I tell you what's
- 13:19Speaker 1: school's going on? And last, but not least, the whole reason.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Shirley's here. Yeah, she asked Shirley. He said, Shirley please.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Firsty called me. He made two mistakes. He said, I
- 13:34Speaker 1: want to run something by you. I said, uh uh chance,
- 13:44Speaker 1: you can't say run to me? No more, just too soon.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Then he turned around the double right back and called Sherley.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Shirley said, Shirley, we need you to run on up
- 13:59Speaker 1: in here clearly said are you supposed to be saying
- 14:07Speaker 1: you Tom? Yes, the top of the morning. He is
- 14:12Speaker 1: in the buildings. He came in coming up next. Something funny.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Injuries that hurt. We'll talk about it right after. You're
- 14:19Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Listen selling historic
- 14:24Speaker 1: happened last night. Let's get to it. Okay, come on,
- 14:27Speaker 1: come on, baby, whoa Steve? What you know what? Man?
- 14:33Speaker 1: Doug Jones is the first Democratic Senator in the state
- 14:38Speaker 1: of Alabama in a little over twenty years. And you
- 14:45Speaker 1: know it. The reason is, I think one of the
- 14:50Speaker 1: reasons that this election drew so much attention was because
- 14:55Speaker 1: of the climate that we live in today with all
- 14:58Speaker 1: the accusations, people down and everything like this. One of
- 15:03Speaker 1: the more troubling allegations is you know kids, I mean,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you know, look, just to go off base a little bit. Inmates, prisoners.
- 15:21Speaker 1: There's a code of honor amongst these criminals, even have
- 15:25Speaker 1: a code of code of ethics. One of them is snitching,
- 15:30Speaker 1: you know. Uh. The other one is if you come
- 15:33Speaker 1: in here and you violated a woman, or you violated
- 15:39Speaker 1: your you rape a woman and you come to prison
- 15:41Speaker 1: for rape. Are you coming here for messing with some kids?
- 15:45Speaker 1: My man, they're tight because now they're going this could
- 15:49Speaker 1: have been my sister, my mama, or this could have
- 15:52Speaker 1: been one of my kids or my little niece, and
- 15:54Speaker 1: now here you come. Okay, now all right, now, I'm
- 15:59Speaker 1: just I'm just saying that. Now, let's look at the
- 16:01Speaker 1: climate today here. You have men who are losing positions,
- 16:08Speaker 1: job titles, everything for violating women in the in the
- 16:15Speaker 1: harassment area. And violating a woman doesn't have to be physical, no,
- 16:20Speaker 1: I mean anything that makes her feel uncomfortable in the workplace,
- 16:23Speaker 1: got it. You know that they got too many training
- 16:26Speaker 1: courses out of here now almost every job. So okay,
- 16:30Speaker 1: that well, okay, we got it. This is just a
- 16:35Speaker 1: personal take on me. Once you start messing with children.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You know, I'm not talking. Now, listen to what I'm saying,
- 16:46Speaker 1: because I don't want this misunderstood in any way. You know,
- 16:50Speaker 1: you're saying something to a woman to make her uncomfortable.
- 16:53Speaker 1: That's not that's not a good thing, brother, That's just
- 16:56Speaker 1: not a good thing. You call yourself hitting on a woman,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but you got her feeling uncomfortable. That's not a good thing.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I got that. That's the part I'm talking about of harassment,
- 17:09Speaker 1: the verbal mental abuse that you put on a person.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Once you go into the kid area, you you weigh
- 17:17Speaker 1: you weigh, weigh out there now, you way wagh out
- 17:21Speaker 1: there now, man, And you're talking about trying to get
- 17:23Speaker 1: a child to do something at your level of understanding,
- 17:27Speaker 1: based on their level of understanding. And that's sickening to me.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So with that in mind, I just couldn't even understand
- 17:33Speaker 1: how is this guy still even allowed to run? Horrible candidate.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He just wasn't a good candidate all the way around.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I mean, the comments he made about slavery the last
- 17:45Speaker 1: time America was really great. I know there was slavery,
- 17:49Speaker 1: but at least we had values and our country had direction.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I went, really, what really? And then you know, man,
- 18:01Speaker 1: here's the deal. I mean, he said horrible things about
- 18:03Speaker 1: homosexual and he did it all under the under the
- 18:07Speaker 1: guides of being a Christian. He had this black minister
- 18:11Speaker 1: come on TV one time speaking on his behalf because
- 18:13Speaker 1: what the Bible says, Okay, listen, to me, I got
- 18:16Speaker 1: what the Bible says. My mom was a Sunday school teacher.
- 18:20Speaker 1: We all went to church, all our grandmama Mama tried
- 18:22Speaker 1: to raise this right. But we lived in an imperfect world.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Ain't nobody doing everything in that Bible? Nobody? And what
- 18:33Speaker 1: about Judge not hello know about that? So for you
- 18:39Speaker 1: to pick the one part out that you want to
- 18:42Speaker 1: say that I don't do, and anybody to do that
- 18:45Speaker 1: is worse than me. It's something wrong with you because
- 18:49Speaker 1: you can't do that to people. Now, he takes this
- 18:52Speaker 1: part in the Bible that he wants to throw up
- 18:54Speaker 1: at everybody about gaze and homosexuality and whatever. But if
- 18:59Speaker 1: you could sit it at a scene, you also had
- 19:03Speaker 1: to consider yours, which is equal in God's eyes if
- 19:09Speaker 1: you want to go there. So what I've learned to
- 19:12Speaker 1: do is in this world, I allow everybody to be
- 19:15Speaker 1: who they are, and I accept whatever shortcomings they have
- 19:19Speaker 1: because they show got the except man exactly, we all
- 19:22Speaker 1: fall short. I mean, boy, listen, listen to So Now
- 19:31Speaker 1: this guy was just a bad He was not a
- 19:35Speaker 1: good candidate. I mean, I don't know as much as
- 19:38Speaker 1: they tried to dress him up and make it look
- 19:39Speaker 1: good and all that. The President rallied, you know, to
- 19:43Speaker 1: his support and all of that. He just was a
- 19:46Speaker 1: horrible candidate for this race. He just wasn't. And in
- 19:50Speaker 1: the end Doug Jones went out and and Roy Moore
- 19:53Speaker 1: still hasn't conceded. He brought and he brought God up
- 19:56Speaker 1: last night. God has not done yet. We're not done.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You see the numbers. I think God went to bid
- 20:08Speaker 1: count the numbers. God knew what the numbers was, right.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Who was there? Two black people that be always it's high,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you know, man? But I was really, really I think
- 20:28Speaker 1: Alabama sent the right message they especially African American you know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, it's so many things to talk
- 20:37Speaker 1: about today. We're gonna take phone calls, yes, eight seven seven,
- 20:41Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve, We're gonna take your car. Bar Barkley
- 20:46Speaker 1: was a lady last night. Eight seven seven, Yeah, what
- 20:53Speaker 1: do you say? With confidence? He almost felt like he
- 20:57Speaker 1: was giving out his own damn. I was number yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 1: eight seven or seven change? Looking around. You know, man,
- 21:21Speaker 1: it's so so many things to talk about, so many
- 21:24Speaker 1: people to congratulate in Alabama. We'll talking about the African
- 21:29Speaker 1: American voters, female talk about the female voter turnout. We'll
- 21:34Speaker 1: just talk about Alabama in general. And I think that
- 21:37Speaker 1: was a great message that they said in the first
- 21:40Speaker 1: Democratic senator over twenty years to be there. All right,
- 21:45Speaker 1: we'll be back. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Coming up at the time of the hour, Miss Anna
- 21:53Speaker 1: is going to be here with today's national news and headlines.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And I want to just say, all these voices you
- 21:59Speaker 1: here talking about Steve hard Morning Show, ain't none of
- 22:01Speaker 1: them to actual forces. We do them voices out. I
- 22:06Speaker 1: didn't need a bakery here. We're going to the phone.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Day seven, seven twenty nine. Steve wanted your comments about
- 22:18Speaker 1: the election of what you feel a man. Let's go
- 22:21Speaker 1: to line one and talk to Lorenzo out of North Carolina.
- 22:27Speaker 1: We have music in our ears. Want that today. It
- 22:31Speaker 1: gets on your nerves like not today, it's on my
- 22:33Speaker 1: nerves on one day music yesterday. That would be a
- 22:38Speaker 1: lot of days, but today especially all right, Lorenzo, Line
- 22:41Speaker 1: one out of North Carolina's Steve Lorenzo, Line one, Lorenzo, Hey,
- 22:47Speaker 1: what's your comment on election? Right? So proud, so proud
- 22:53Speaker 1: of Alabella um so jos even though I'm in North Carolina. Right,
- 23:01Speaker 1: but they did. Yeah, yeah, that's good. Crying y'all. He's happy.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I mean, it isn't It is important because this is
- 23:13Speaker 1: not a general election. This is a great day for Alabama. Yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and you and this is what we've been talking about.
- 23:19Speaker 1: We can't just vote in the general election. We have
- 23:21Speaker 1: That is what president on bomb screen. And I think
- 23:26Speaker 1: we all see now that it can change things. Your
- 23:31Speaker 1: vote changes and it can change the direction it is
- 23:35Speaker 1: now in the Senate, one Republican seats and forty nine
- 23:38Speaker 1: Democratic seat. Now do you understand what that can truly mean?
- 23:42Speaker 1: Because listen, if one Republican here he ain't had full
- 23:46Speaker 1: Republicans support on nothing, oh nothing. It can change the
- 23:55Speaker 1: direction of the country and policy. Let's go to the
- 23:57Speaker 1: next one. All right, let's go to line. Is it three?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Alicia out of Montgomery, Alabama? Alicia? Alicia? Line three? Okay,
- 24:13Speaker 1: good Alicia? What's your comment on the election? Man? If
- 24:16Speaker 1: you don't cut that damn music off, where I can
- 24:19Speaker 1: thank this morning now? I ain't need to move for it.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I'm sixty. This music got on my damn the microphone.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Go ahead, what's your comment? A happy
- 24:35Speaker 1: day in the whole state of Alabama. We're just so glad,
- 24:39Speaker 1: we do so sick of this stuff going on in Washington.
- 24:41Speaker 1: We can side about those seats. We need those seasons,
- 24:44Speaker 1: We need those seats to represent us. Are we glad
- 24:47Speaker 1: we got on up and went to the post. Well yeah, yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 1: that is such a great that's a great feeling in Alabama.
- 24:53Speaker 1: What was your determining factor? I mean, was it Charles Barkley?
- 24:57Speaker 1: Was it the candidate himself, Doug Jones? But well, yeah,
- 25:01Speaker 1: Charles Barkley came out and and but I mean he
- 25:06Speaker 1: said a lot to to to boost them. But what
- 25:09Speaker 1: do you think it was? Alicia? The candidates themselves? I mean,
- 25:13Speaker 1: you know, a representative of more and more. He had
- 25:16Speaker 1: been in office three times, and you know, well he
- 25:19Speaker 1: was trying to get for the third time. And you
- 25:21Speaker 1: know that the headloads and all the nasty stuff in
- 25:26Speaker 1: the news about him. You know, we just ain't got
- 25:29Speaker 1: time to be sitting folks down to Washington, Uh with
- 25:33Speaker 1: those typos are allegations or you know what they do?
- 25:36Speaker 1: You know, you're seeing what people doing around down on Pennsylvany.
- 25:42Speaker 1: We got we understood what you see. Uh. Okay, good point, though,
- 25:49Speaker 1: that's a very good point. You know, Trump is drinking
- 25:52Speaker 1: coax now like because he do twelve a day. So, uh,
- 25:58Speaker 1: you know, it's it's nice to hear from people in
- 26:00Speaker 1: Alabama because, uh, they were just really concerned about the
- 26:04Speaker 1: image of the state, you know, how they look. You know,
- 26:07Speaker 1: that was one of the points that Barkley was making.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You know, what message are we sending to the world
- 26:12Speaker 1: about ourselves? You know? And I mean really, if you
- 26:15Speaker 1: look at it technically, just technically, you just can't even
- 26:19Speaker 1: that doesn't make any sense. Just because you want to
- 26:22Speaker 1: have control over seat, you're gonna back an accused child molester. Wait, minut,
- 26:30Speaker 1: hold it, man, And here's the other thing with me,
- 26:32Speaker 1: and I've said it, I'm gonna say it in a
- 26:34Speaker 1: calm way today. Thank you Jesus. If adult concert in
- 26:42Speaker 1: the state of Alabama is sixteen, we need to revisit
- 26:46Speaker 1: this because at the end of the day, I don't
- 26:49Speaker 1: care what you're trying to pull off and make sound Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: a sixteen year old girl is a child. She may
- 26:59Speaker 1: be able to bad children, but you can do that
- 27:01Speaker 1: at thirteen. So what the hell that got to do
- 27:04Speaker 1: with it? You are still talking about a child a teenager,
- 27:09Speaker 1: if a man thirty years old, it's at the high
- 27:14Speaker 1: school or the mall. The praying on these young girl
- 27:19Speaker 1: because see, the disadvantage that this girl has is that
- 27:23Speaker 1: this predator, this man has sixteen years experience and game
- 27:28Speaker 1: on her. Now, all she got to do is make
- 27:31Speaker 1: a small error in judgment, and the way she thinks
- 27:35Speaker 1: of men, love and her life can forever be changed,
- 27:40Speaker 1: just cause some old ass man over here want to
- 27:43Speaker 1: get his jolly's off that right? Well? Did did? Did
- 27:49Speaker 1: you what I just said? Yes, sir, listen, because there's
- 27:53Speaker 1: a lot of things he's upset the day. Come in
- 27:57Speaker 1: and talking good listen, good listening, pay attention music, and
- 28:08Speaker 1: we might have to st it's a happy day, that
- 28:14Speaker 1: is right here. All right, Let's let's go to line
- 28:19Speaker 1: four and talk to We heard from Alicia. That's now.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Let's here from Alicia out of North Carolina. Alicia, Alicia,
- 28:29Speaker 1: go here, where's your comment on the election in Alabama
- 28:32Speaker 1: last night? Um? I'm a thirty one year old female,
- 28:35Speaker 1: so I'm still kind of young, um, and watching the election,
- 28:38Speaker 1: I think it was a great representation of how if
- 28:42Speaker 1: African Americans disbands together, we have the power to change anything,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and basically what this election, because basically the acting Amaicines
- 28:52Speaker 1: are responsible for putting um joanes in the sense absolutely so, Um,
- 28:57Speaker 1: I think it's just a great like I said, I
- 28:59Speaker 1: think just a great representation of just us banding together,
- 29:03Speaker 1: being united. Um, just just displaying a good united parts.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And I think it was just amazing how the results
- 29:11Speaker 1: turned out. And uh, it gives it gives me hope
- 29:14Speaker 1: as a young woman. Hope. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's
- 29:19Speaker 1: a great comment. That really was. And we have to
- 29:21Speaker 1: keep doing it, you know, we can't stop here. And
- 29:24Speaker 1: it's not just the Alabama election. All elections are important
- 29:29Speaker 1: and you can see that. And your voice does matter,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and your voice, your vote definitely counts. I mean, it
- 29:36Speaker 1: would just proved itself. It was even even until this
- 29:40Speaker 1: thing turned into Selma you. I was watching it. You
- 29:45Speaker 1: turned into Selma man. And they came out and voted,
- 29:48Speaker 1: and it was an amazing thing. They came out and
- 29:52Speaker 1: voted at a higher percentage for this than they did
- 29:56Speaker 1: in the Obama That right there, and lets you know,
- 29:59Speaker 1: if you get out to these polls, you can change things.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And that's one of the reasons Doug Jones in his
- 30:06Speaker 1: speech and his victory speech, he said, thank you Africa.
- 30:13Speaker 1: He was thinking, everybody, thank you, my Latino friends, everybody. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: we want to talk to the horse. He rode in on.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Let's talk to the time. Alright, coming up at the
- 30:30Speaker 1: top of the hour, miss Anne, it's gonna be here
- 30:32Speaker 1: with more election results and our national news, and we'll
- 30:37Speaker 1: be here, of course, right after this. You're listening to
- 30:41Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we are
- 30:45Speaker 1: in this historic day after the historic election in Alabama,
- 30:50Speaker 1: and before we get to yeah, Alabama, before we get
- 30:55Speaker 1: to Alabama, before we get to miss Anne and our
- 30:58Speaker 1: national news. Yeah, let's go to the phone, and Steve,
- 31:00Speaker 1: let's go to line Let's go to line six and
- 31:02Speaker 1: talk to Mike. Out of where Alabama, Alabama? All right, Mike,
- 31:07Speaker 1: you there, what's your comment? Good comment on the election, sir. Well,
- 31:13Speaker 1: you know, I'm a transplant from Michigan, and I didn't
- 31:18Speaker 1: think I would ever see the political site in the
- 31:20Speaker 1: Alabama turn the way it did yesterday. I live in
- 31:24Speaker 1: rural Dallas County, outside of Selma and outside of Salma.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Of the number of young people that we're voting yesterday,
- 31:34Speaker 1: the millennials were out in droves voting Yester, I couldn't believe.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I don't like all that hate and division. Yeah, and uh,
- 31:45Speaker 1: not only that, the affluent suburbs where young professionals were
- 31:49Speaker 1: both black and white, voted heavily in favorite Doug Jones
- 31:53Speaker 1: as well. Yeah. Well, uh that's interesting from your state
- 32:00Speaker 1: important because you're out there being able to look at
- 32:03Speaker 1: the lines and the polls and the actual makeup. Uh,
- 32:06Speaker 1: it's a united effort. Look, you know, we want to
- 32:08Speaker 1: give African Americans a lot of credit and and you should.
- 32:12Speaker 1: But a lot of other people, uh wanted this to
- 32:16Speaker 1: happen this way too. And what I'm very conscious of,
- 32:21Speaker 1: see because you have to watch this other party sometimes
- 32:25Speaker 1: because they're very slick. If you keep saying African American
- 32:30Speaker 1: voters made this happen to African American voters. But they
- 32:33Speaker 1: have a funny way of spending everything. So now Doug
- 32:38Speaker 1: Jones ain't our candidate, he becomes their candidate. And now
- 32:44Speaker 1: Doug Jones ain't looking out for the good and the
- 32:46Speaker 1: welfare the great state of Alabama. You watch how they
- 32:49Speaker 1: spend stuff, man, because if you notice in this election,
- 32:53Speaker 1: a lot of Republican senators and people in the House
- 32:56Speaker 1: well against Roy Moore in the first But when the
- 33:01Speaker 1: White House came out with the spin we should let
- 33:04Speaker 1: the voters of Alabama decide. See, that got them off
- 33:07Speaker 1: the hook just in case. Now, No, if you was
- 33:11Speaker 1: in the uproar before, you should have stayed in the uproar.
- 33:14Speaker 1: But you took the White House spin that we're gonna
- 33:18Speaker 1: let the voters of Alabama decide. That way, they can
- 33:20Speaker 1: wash their hands of it, and they can coolly slide
- 33:23Speaker 1: this man into this seat and act like, well, that's
- 33:27Speaker 1: what the great state of Alabama wanted. Well, it was
- 33:31Speaker 1: where it wasn't And now a lot of them are saying,
- 33:38Speaker 1: that's great. We didn't want to send that message. That's
- 33:41Speaker 1: not what the Senate is about. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 33:44Speaker 1: It's amazing, man, it really is. In the first Democrat
- 33:47Speaker 1: in years. That's huge. So and it was in all
- 33:51Speaker 1: out effort. The African American voter turnout was huge and
- 33:57Speaker 1: Obama definitely huge in this and and was that was
- 34:00Speaker 1: important for a lot of people to see. It definitely was.
- 34:04Speaker 1: We're gonna be taking your phone calls all morning long
- 34:07Speaker 1: from what's that number, Steve one more time seven yes,
- 34:16Speaker 1: what he said, what he said with eight seven seven nine, Steve,
- 34:21Speaker 1: so call us. We'll be taking your phone calls all morning,
- 34:23Speaker 1: and we especially want to hear from the great state
- 34:26Speaker 1: of Alma, Alabama. We definitely do uh time. Now, Steve,
- 34:29Speaker 1: please introduce her. She is here with great news. She's
- 34:33Speaker 1: here without further due our very own miss and trip.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Thanks guys, Good morning everybody. Yes, this is a trip
- 34:40Speaker 1: with the news, and yes there is a lot to
- 34:42Speaker 1: talk about and let's get right to it. Alabama, Alabama, Alabama.
- 34:46Speaker 1: That's the word in everybody's mouth this morning. After all
- 34:49Speaker 1: the allegations and the denials and the claims and the campaigning,
- 34:53Speaker 1: Alabama voters decided to send a Democrat, Doug Jones, to
- 34:56Speaker 1: the US Senate, the first Democratic center out of alabam
- 35:00Speaker 1: In twenty five years now, nine women accused Roy more
- 35:03Speaker 1: if sexual misconduct and assault when they were in their
- 35:06Speaker 1: teens he was in his thirties, but he denied the allegations.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Roy Moore recently said that the country was great when
- 35:12Speaker 1: we had slavery because families were united. I don't know
- 35:15Speaker 1: what families he's talking about there, but whatever. And on
- 35:18Speaker 1: the other hand, though Doug Jones is the man who
- 35:20Speaker 1: prosecuted the klansman who planted the bomb at the sixteenth
- 35:23Speaker 1: Street Baptist Church to kill four little black girls, and
- 35:26Speaker 1: black folks came out for him yesterday, voting for him
- 35:28Speaker 1: in the same percentages that they came out for President Obama.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Roy Moore believe it or not, not conceding when the
- 35:34Speaker 1: vote is this close that it's not over, and we
- 35:38Speaker 1: still got to go by the rules about this recount provision,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and the Secretary of State has explained it to us,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and we're expecting that the press will go up there
- 35:48Speaker 1: and talk to them to find out what the situation is.
- 35:52Speaker 1: But we also know that God is always in control,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and that's what we've got to do, White old dog
- 36:01Speaker 1: and let this process play out. Yeah, he's gonna wait
- 36:05Speaker 1: on God and see what happens. But he lost so
- 36:07Speaker 1: far by twenty thousand votes, so it's not that close.
- 36:10Speaker 1: More than one had members of the Congress calling for
- 36:12Speaker 1: a House Oversight Committee investigation to President Trump over his
- 36:15Speaker 1: alleged sexual misconduct. Members of the Democratic Women's Working Group
- 36:19Speaker 1: criticizing the president for what they say has been his
- 36:21Speaker 1: history of inappropriate behavior towards women. The group's vice chair,
- 36:25Speaker 1: as Michigan's Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence Lean Congress are facing a
- 36:29Speaker 1: critical point in history. Many are calling in a watershed moment.
- 36:33Speaker 1: For too long, accountability has not been the priority, and
- 36:37Speaker 1: bad behavior has gone unchecked. For too long, we have
- 36:40Speaker 1: accepted copouts like locker room talk, and now that time
- 36:45Speaker 1: is over. The group's announcement comes on the heels of
- 36:48Speaker 1: Santa Christian Jillibrand's demand that Trump resigned to get back
- 36:52Speaker 1: at her. The President tweeted that Gillibrand had come to
- 36:55Speaker 1: his office quote begging for campaign contributions, and that she
- 36:59Speaker 1: would do again quote anything to get the money, will
- 37:02Speaker 1: send a Gilibrand calls the president's tweet a sexist smear,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and so does Nancy Pelosi and many other Democrats. Finally,
- 37:09Speaker 1: today is the National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Hate ugly
- 37:15Speaker 1: Christmas sweaters. I don't know about you, but Eugene the
- 37:17Speaker 1: Butterfly is going to be back with a beautiful Christmas
- 37:19Speaker 1: sweater for twenty minutes after the hour, stay tuned to
- 37:21Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve
- 37:25Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Uh, what what a great day?
- 37:30Speaker 1: This morning. Yeah, it is after the down. You know, Steve,
- 37:41Speaker 1: nerves are doing it. Do you get on your kid's nerves? Steve,
- 37:52Speaker 1: not at all, no reason for this. I mean, do
- 37:57Speaker 1: you make it on your nerves? Get a certain age,
- 38:01Speaker 1: everything gets on your nerves. You just get edgy, you do.
- 38:05Speaker 1: You don't mean any harm. You're just like quite loud.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Look quite loud. Shut up, shut up. Town Rose and
- 38:14Speaker 1: Alia just kept coming in my off, you know, the
- 38:19Speaker 1: third time. So you know, like you know, you know,
- 38:24Speaker 1: like Carly's a vegan. Morgan's a vegan. You know, so
- 38:29Speaker 1: dude know their kids don't eat candy, and kids don't
- 38:33Speaker 1: have nothing good. So in my office, I got candy. Yeah,
- 38:36Speaker 1: and so you know granddad, Yeah, I'm in there because
- 38:40Speaker 1: you know, they're my grandkids something. And then they come
- 38:42Speaker 1: in that Papa office. I got treatful. So they stay
- 38:46Speaker 1: in my office. They just comes in there all the time.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So Carlin Morgan just mortified one time in there. We're biggas,
- 38:56Speaker 1: what are they eating? Well, i's slim Jim gave the
- 39:00Speaker 1: baby and slim jin Yeah, why not, it's your house,
- 39:03Speaker 1: you know. That's that's a meat introductory product. You should
- 39:09Speaker 1: have a slip. How the hell you don't like slim,
- 39:13Speaker 1: you can snap him. I gave a little be Jason
- 39:17Speaker 1: beef turkey. He stuck that in his mouth. His eyes
- 39:19Speaker 1: lit up, he was so happy. And then I gave
- 39:20Speaker 1: him a peppermint patty. What a statement, pepper patty. And
- 39:27Speaker 1: then Carli come talking to me about dad. We don't
- 39:29Speaker 1: eat that that. Let me ask you this question, Steve,
- 39:34Speaker 1: how much grandfather if you had to put a time
- 39:36Speaker 1: limit on it, how much grandfather you got inside of you?
- 39:38Speaker 1: About thirty about thirty minutes solid Paul, Paul world champ man.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Let me tell you what I did. And Maudrey throws,
- 39:51Speaker 1: uh Marjorie throws h Halloween party for the kids. And
- 39:57Speaker 1: at the Halloween party, that was this huge t P
- 40:01Speaker 1: about fifteen feet high, a t P, a real TP,
- 40:05Speaker 1: Indian TP. So the next day the people come over
- 40:10Speaker 1: to take the TP down. Okay, Noah and rolls out
- 40:14Speaker 1: that mouth wide over. Can you not take the TP
- 40:24Speaker 1: down in front of the key. I'm gonna tell you
- 40:29Speaker 1: the rest of the story in front of it. All right.
- 40:34Speaker 1: We'll take more of your phone calls too. When you
- 40:36Speaker 1: come back. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 40:44Speaker 1: my dog to bell? Alright, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Uh,
- 40:51Speaker 1: the day after that historic election in Alabama where Democrat
- 40:55Speaker 1: Doug Doug Jones one first time for a Democrat in years,
- 41:01Speaker 1: twenty five years. So we're going to the phones all morning.
- 41:03Speaker 1: We want to hear from you everyone. I'd like to
- 41:06Speaker 1: hear him the horse he rode in. Let's go to
- 41:12Speaker 1: line too and talk to Stacy out of Virginia. Stacy, Stacy, Hey, Steve,
- 41:20Speaker 1: are you hey? Donmin Google? Where's your comment on the election? Well?
- 41:25Speaker 1: My question is this to everyone, did you guys expect
- 41:29Speaker 1: anything less of Donald Trump? Um? This is a very
- 41:34Speaker 1: same man that was accused of touching female private part
- 41:38Speaker 1: and not having any type of rewards. So did you
- 41:41Speaker 1: not think that he wouldn't back this man that is
- 41:44Speaker 1: basically accused of being a pedophile? Um? Second question, Um,
- 41:51Speaker 1: this is a very same man. Now, We've always had racism,
- 41:54Speaker 1: but it's never been kicked up like this before. Um.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I mean it's and overdraw right now. And I honestly
- 42:04Speaker 1: do believe that it's because of Trump and the way
- 42:06Speaker 1: that he feels about minorities and African Americans and things
- 42:09Speaker 1: like that. So did you not think that he wouldn't
- 42:12Speaker 1: support a man that felt the exact same way. First, well, yeah,
- 42:17Speaker 1: well he didn't. At first he voted Luther Strange, but
- 42:21Speaker 1: he came out and said did his tweets this morning
- 42:23Speaker 1: were deplorable. But let me tell let me say this
- 42:26Speaker 1: to answer the question. I don't think he cares. No,
- 42:30Speaker 1: I don't think that President Trump cares what a person
- 42:35Speaker 1: did or does. I think he only cares. He's so
- 42:41Speaker 1: self centered, centered, self engaged, that it doesn't matter. He
- 42:49Speaker 1: wants his way. Listen to me, this man is in
- 42:54Speaker 1: office as a seventy year old, very very very well
- 43:00Speaker 1: the man, now he's not a billionaire, but he's a
- 43:04Speaker 1: very very very wealthy man. Your billionaire. You can look
- 43:09Speaker 1: it up. You ain't got the wonder about that. But
- 43:12Speaker 1: because he ain't got no tax forms turned in, can't
- 43:15Speaker 1: nobody Well you don't now, but he You don't have
- 43:21Speaker 1: to be a building there to be very very very
- 43:24Speaker 1: very very wealthy. And and and he has been this
- 43:28Speaker 1: way for a long time. He's just he just has
- 43:31Speaker 1: a platform. Now you're just hearing about it. The sad
- 43:35Speaker 1: thing out is there a lot of those in this country.
- 43:39Speaker 1: They are country clubs. They're in places they make policy.
- 43:44Speaker 1: That's why country clubs are the where they are, oftentimes
- 43:47Speaker 1: a lot of times with restrictions for women and minorities
- 43:50Speaker 1: and Jews and religious groups and all of this and
- 43:54Speaker 1: religion everything. It's so much of that. I just think
- 43:57Speaker 1: that President Trump does not care, yeah, that this guy
- 44:01Speaker 1: was a potential pedophile or predator or anything else, because
- 44:06Speaker 1: he needs fifty two seats in the Senate and that's
- 44:09Speaker 1: all that mattered, so I can push my agenda across.
- 44:13Speaker 1: The worst thing he could have done was become president
- 44:15Speaker 1: because it changed his way of life, in his way
- 44:18Speaker 1: of living and meaning he's used to getting everything he
- 44:21Speaker 1: wants to to any This is one of the worst
- 44:26Speaker 1: things that happened to him. But he didn't think it
- 44:30Speaker 1: was like that. He thought he could just do this.
- 44:32Speaker 1: He thought he was gonna bring his mode of ethics
- 44:35Speaker 1: and business to without the pushback. So you don't get
- 44:39Speaker 1: the same pushback from Trump talk right exactly because amerthan contest.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You don't get the pushback nothing. Man. And this was,
- 44:49Speaker 1: and I'll tell you you was a dead giveaway sign
- 44:52Speaker 1: when his wife and I don't talk about nobody's wives
- 44:55Speaker 1: because you can't. You can't say nothing about mine. So
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm not knocking his wife in a negative way. But
- 45:01Speaker 1: you knew something was amiss when she didn't want to
- 45:04Speaker 1: move into the White House. Oh. I thought you were
- 45:07Speaker 1: gonna say, but, but, but but look at this though.
- 45:14Speaker 1: If you saw how they lived and where they lived
- 45:19Speaker 1: living in the I'm telling you how pretty nice, sash
- 45:27Speaker 1: And for the regular person, you can't imagine that. But
- 45:29Speaker 1: trust and believed. It was a rough fall. Yeah, it was.
- 45:32Speaker 1: We're gonna be taking your phone calls all morning long.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Eight seven twenty nine. Steve. We'll be back with more
- 45:38Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 45:41Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming
- 45:46Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 45:48Speaker 1: minutes after today's Strawberry Letter. But first, we've been asking
- 45:53Speaker 1: for your phone calls all morning. We want to talk
- 45:55Speaker 1: about this election that went down in Alabama last night.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Let's go to phones. What's that eight seven seven nine, Yes,
- 46:05Speaker 1: they got it, you got it. That was with confidence.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I like it. All right, let's go. Let's go to
- 46:12Speaker 1: line three and talk to Brandon out of the great
- 46:14Speaker 1: state of Alabama. Brandon Good morning. Go ahead, man, what's
- 46:19Speaker 1: your comment about to let the morning? Um here Monty Alabama. Look,
- 46:22Speaker 1: we don't have one professional team in Alabama, but we
- 46:26Speaker 1: want a super Bowl. Last night, he won the super
- 46:30Speaker 1: Bowl last night. Listen, um, Donald Trump. I kind of
- 46:34Speaker 1: feel like he was the best thing that ever happened
- 46:37Speaker 1: to us because he woke us up. You know, Donald
- 46:40Speaker 1: Trump woke us up there. You know, I Duck Jones.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I never knew that Duck Jones was a guy that
- 46:46Speaker 1: prosecuted the claim them. But I learned that. I learned that,
- 46:48Speaker 1: and I don't see how how in the world there's
- 46:51Speaker 1: no way that we would not show up for him,
- 46:53Speaker 1: for a guy like that, you know, there's no way. Um.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I want I want to I want to go back
- 47:00Speaker 1: with credit and thank my mom and my dad because
- 47:03Speaker 1: when when they went to vote, they took me with them,
- 47:05Speaker 1: you know when I was when I was young, and
- 47:07Speaker 1: it's important. I don't have any kids myself, but you know,
- 47:10Speaker 1: you look around when you go on voting. I've always
- 47:12Speaker 1: voted in all the big general elections. Um, you know,
- 47:15Speaker 1: and you see you see our counterparts with their children
- 47:18Speaker 1: with them, and then watching that, and you know it,
- 47:20Speaker 1: what's what's important to your parents ends up being important
- 47:23Speaker 1: to you know, um my, uh, you know, and and
- 47:27Speaker 1: and your your voice matters, and this one really really
- 47:30Speaker 1: showed it, you know. And and again we've always been
- 47:33Speaker 1: taught or you've just seen that Alabama's always been a
- 47:36Speaker 1: read estate. So why why would I show up to vote?
- 47:39Speaker 1: You know? But listen, our dear, dear, dear and forever
- 47:43Speaker 1: President Obama told us that it's the local elections don't matter.
- 47:47Speaker 1: And I listened to this and I made right. I
- 47:50Speaker 1: made a vout of myself. I just made a vout
- 47:52Speaker 1: of myself a little, you know, like I said, you
- 47:55Speaker 1: vote for president, you vote for a governor. But I
- 47:57Speaker 1: didn't vote in the smallest and I'm never gonna miss
- 48:00Speaker 1: one of those elections ever, ever again in my life.
- 48:03Speaker 1: That's great, spate, that's important to you. Okay, let's go
- 48:10Speaker 1: to line four and talk to Empt out of Texas
- 48:14Speaker 1: Empt Steve the O k k D A oh Man, Yeah,
- 48:24Speaker 1: super soul seventy three k k d A. Willis Johnson
- 48:28Speaker 1: in the morning, you stop me by. We miss you
- 48:33Speaker 1: so much. It was like when Lebron left O how
- 48:37Speaker 1: who yeah, man, you had us doing. But we love
- 48:40Speaker 1: you dying. You know, I wanted you to know that.
- 48:42Speaker 1: And I want to say, President, thank you for introducing
- 48:45Speaker 1: me to h Burning MC because I didn't know him
- 48:48Speaker 1: to the King of Company. But I want to say, Steve,
- 48:50Speaker 1: you have to change doing a beautiful job. But let
- 48:53Speaker 1: me you say this and get off of him. Steve,
- 48:56Speaker 1: what the Black Coach did last night was beautiful because
- 48:59Speaker 1: I couldn't see myself voting at all because of the
- 49:02Speaker 1: fact Number one, this man and him when he'd been
- 49:05Speaker 1: a kid, he was all right till you start dealing
- 49:07Speaker 1: with kids, And I'm like you, I got six daughters
- 49:09Speaker 1: and three sons. When he started dealing with kids, that
- 49:12Speaker 1: just kind of threw me away. But on the other hand,
- 49:17Speaker 1: what what are we gonna get out of it? Steve?
- 49:19Speaker 1: Are you with me? No? Everybody get a licked. And
- 49:27Speaker 1: I got any friends that got their money from you know,
- 49:31Speaker 1: for what happened to them. I know some agents got
- 49:33Speaker 1: their money. But for some reason, all of these black
- 49:36Speaker 1: leaders will not come together and get our restitution. They
- 49:41Speaker 1: owed forty acres and amusing we want the money. Give
- 49:48Speaker 1: us all a hundred thousand dollars a piece, and none
- 49:51Speaker 1: of them polish your grandkids, my grandkids, and they drive
- 49:55Speaker 1: me crazy too cause I'm sixty five. But give everybody
- 49:58Speaker 1: their money, because we are helping everybody get everything, but
- 50:03Speaker 1: at nothing but a whole lot of the buildings. Well,
- 50:05Speaker 1: you know, uh, I understand the movement for reparations. I've
- 50:10Speaker 1: never been out there on that front line for reparations
- 50:13Speaker 1: because I know it's not gonna happen. But if it
- 50:17Speaker 1: was forty acres or a hundred grand, I'd really take
- 50:20Speaker 1: the acres or if you go down, But it ain't
- 50:24Speaker 1: gonna happen, bro, we we can quit asking people to
- 50:26Speaker 1: help us get that. That ain't gonna work. We are
- 50:29Speaker 1: living in a time where we have an entire party
- 50:32Speaker 1: whose concept is pull yourself up by your bootstraps. And
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'll be damned if they're gonna start passing our checks
- 50:39Speaker 1: and in a in a reparations program for us, and
- 50:43Speaker 1: we can stop wasting our damn time with that one
- 50:46Speaker 1: right there. I'll get on the bandwagon with you to
- 50:49Speaker 1: help you do anything you wanta. You wanna bring these
- 50:52Speaker 1: police departments to task for any injustices that a few
- 50:55Speaker 1: bad ones do, because the police departments are good and
- 50:58Speaker 1: you need them, and they've got some fine in women
- 51:00Speaker 1: in office uniform. But for the few that's out there,
- 51:03Speaker 1: you gotta start paying when you kill a person for
- 51:05Speaker 1: no reason. I get in line with you for that.
- 51:08Speaker 1: You want to get in line to keep roaring more
- 51:09Speaker 1: out of office, Steve, I get in line with that
- 51:12Speaker 1: right there. You want to get hill with Clinton back
- 51:14Speaker 1: on the ballot, get in line for that. But what
- 51:20Speaker 1: what what? What? What will not get in line for reparation.
- 51:25Speaker 1: I'm just that's just my opinion. You can have your
- 51:27Speaker 1: own thoughts about but they're not gonna give us a damn.
- 51:34Speaker 1: But you know what, Charles Barkley Um kind of spoke
- 51:37Speaker 1: to that in a way. He said, this is a
- 51:39Speaker 1: wake up call for Democrats. Uh, he said, he told
- 51:42Speaker 1: Mr Jones that, and he says he loves Doug Jones.
- 51:46Speaker 1: They've taken the black vote and the poor vote for granted,
- 51:49Speaker 1: for such a long time. It's time for them to
- 51:51Speaker 1: get off their butts, he didn't say, butts and start
- 51:54Speaker 1: making life better for black folks and people who are poor,
- 51:57Speaker 1: because we always show up for them, you know, like
- 52:00Speaker 1: times like this when they really need our votes. Here
- 52:02Speaker 1: we are, and the thing we have to do is
- 52:03Speaker 1: come up with an agenda of what it is we
- 52:07Speaker 1: have that we can't just say do for us? What
- 52:09Speaker 1: is the agenda that black people? And also also you
- 52:16Speaker 1: gotta have the right leadership to that's the main thing. See,
- 52:20Speaker 1: we've become so complacent and we're all over the place
- 52:27Speaker 1: because that is mad Martin Luther Kings and there's somebody
- 52:32Speaker 1: who has a cause and agenda. We have too many
- 52:36Speaker 1: who have self self agendas, self promoted agendas. When they
- 52:43Speaker 1: go to the town. We seem to get mad of
- 52:44Speaker 1: anybody who seems to speak for black people, you know.
- 52:48Speaker 1: But but we got to stop that. We have a
- 52:51Speaker 1: problem with tearing each other down. That's that's you know.
- 52:56Speaker 1: And until we get that together, you know who's gonna
- 52:59Speaker 1: go and take the agenda to the forefront. Because Black
- 53:02Speaker 1: Lives Matter was a great movement until I started hearing
- 53:07Speaker 1: when somebody came out and said, this is our agenda.
- 53:10Speaker 1: And when they started talking about their agenda, it didn't
- 53:14Speaker 1: have nothing to do with Black Lives matters. It was
- 53:16Speaker 1: a bunch of self pushing items out there and it
- 53:19Speaker 1: lost all of its momentum. It would have been great, man.
- 53:24Speaker 1: They had a list one time and I was going,
- 53:26Speaker 1: what are we what? Dog? Yeah? Who put this together?
- 53:32Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me? And we have a lot
- 53:34Speaker 1: of the wrong people talking for us, and we just
- 53:37Speaker 1: gotta get back to what that is. Yeah, and there.
- 53:40Speaker 1: I mean, there's still some basic things like healthcare, like education.
- 53:47Speaker 1: But you know something, I think times have changed to
- 53:50Speaker 1: the point where now you have to put certain people
- 53:53Speaker 1: in office because that are no Moman Luther Kings that
- 54:00Speaker 1: I see none on the horizon. Okay, So now now
- 54:04Speaker 1: we got that out the way. The way to do
- 54:06Speaker 1: it now is with the vote, because times have changed.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Social media is here, camera phones is here. Everything has changed.
- 54:14Speaker 1: So you didn't want that guy with predominantly red state
- 54:19Speaker 1: for all these years got turned blue years, got turned blue. Vote.
- 54:29Speaker 1: That should say something, I mean, that should really really
- 54:31Speaker 1: mean something to the depths of your soul. That vote,
- 54:36Speaker 1: our vote matters to Harry and then trying to Harry
- 54:40Speaker 1: up and get this tax bill passed before Doug Jones
- 54:43Speaker 1: gets sworn in. Yeah that you know. Yeah, this dude
- 54:49Speaker 1: right here, that's done. The mind if they get one
- 54:52Speaker 1: Republican to go against it, and they could because it's
- 54:55Speaker 1: some Republicans, all right. Strawberry letter coming up next, you're
- 55:00Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. Coming
- 55:04Speaker 1: up next today Strawberry letters subject he loves to do it.
- 55:09Speaker 1: But before we get to the letter. Despite numerous accusations
- 55:12Speaker 1: of misconduct and unwanted sexual advances made against Alabama candidate
- 55:17Speaker 1: Roy Moore, Alabama voters elected him. Now they didn't know,
- 55:22Speaker 1: they did not know. They did not go gotcha? Gotcha? Yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 1: they did not elect him as their new senator. They
- 55:29Speaker 1: elected Democrat dog Doug Jones, first time twenty five years.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Roy Moore, though, has yet to concede. Let's hear from
- 55:37Speaker 1: the people of Alabama. We've been taking your calls all morning.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Let's go cat to line too and talk to Jerry
- 55:43Speaker 1: out of Alabama. Jerry, Yes, sir, how are y'all doing
- 55:49Speaker 1: this morning? We're doing good. Jerry. What's your comment about
- 55:51Speaker 1: the election, Sir? I think it's kind of strace to
- 55:57Speaker 1: Alabama calls. Much money that they put into slandering each
- 56:01Speaker 1: other's name and stuff on the advertisement everything else, they
- 56:05Speaker 1: should go back to the community, to the state of Alabama.
- 56:08Speaker 1: They should helps help people that say the need for
- 56:11Speaker 1: a Christmas clothes, food, anything like that. And then that's
- 56:15Speaker 1: my opinion, they should have show the people what they
- 56:19Speaker 1: could do for Alabama stall slandering, the names and everything else,
- 56:24Speaker 1: because you know that's the big part. You gotta show,
- 56:27Speaker 1: and then your your word with men more than just
- 56:30Speaker 1: saying what you're gonna do. Yeah, I understand where you're
- 56:34Speaker 1: coming from. That's a good comment, Jarry, appreciate you, man.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Did you vote y'all? Y'all, y'all, I don't go ahead
- 56:40Speaker 1: and get off here, y'all have a warm from day
- 56:43Speaker 1: and Marry Christmas. Y'all unhappy Mary Christmas, Jarry, thank you, Jerry,
- 56:48Speaker 1: Merry Christmas. Ye go to which I like Ashley? And yeah,
- 56:54Speaker 1: let's let's I like Ashley too. Let's go to line
- 56:56Speaker 1: three and talk to Ashley out of Gaston, Alabama, Alabama. Yeah,
- 57:03Speaker 1: how you guys. I love you guys so much. I'll
- 57:05Speaker 1: listen to you almost every morning. Okay, go here, what's
- 57:08Speaker 1: your comment? Dog? Basically my comment was this, just look
- 57:12Speaker 1: like we have to respect the fact that Trump is
- 57:14Speaker 1: the president. I wish people will also understand and respect
- 57:17Speaker 1: the fact that this man is officially our senator. I
- 57:20Speaker 1: personally wanted him to win, so I'm glad he's in
- 57:22Speaker 1: the seat. And basically, I just hope that since he
- 57:25Speaker 1: is in the seat now, he does what he said
- 57:26Speaker 1: he's gonna do, and I just pray that he does
- 57:28Speaker 1: his job and he does it. Well. Yeah, and that's
- 57:31Speaker 1: my comment. Thank you. You know, a lot of people, uh,
- 57:37Speaker 1: you know, well, Steve, he's not my president. Okay, Trump
- 57:40Speaker 1: got that. He's the president of the United States, but
- 57:44Speaker 1: he's not my president. Well see, here's here's my take
- 57:47Speaker 1: on it. The office of the presidency, it's bigger than
- 57:52Speaker 1: the person that holds to me, that's the way I
- 57:56Speaker 1: looked at it. The office of the president. It's a
- 57:59Speaker 1: big than the person that holds it. Not a fact
- 58:02Speaker 1: that this don't get that. That don't change what it is.
- 58:07Speaker 1: The office of the presidency is bigger than the person
- 58:10Speaker 1: that holds it. And the problem that a lot of
- 58:12Speaker 1: people are having right now is that he won't live
- 58:15Speaker 1: up to the to the office of presidents. Yeah, I mean,
- 58:19Speaker 1: he's bringing it down by doing so many things that
- 58:23Speaker 1: just unpresidential. Look, man, you ain't got to like everything
- 58:29Speaker 1: I like, but you do have to play the game.
- 58:33Speaker 1: And as much as we wanted people to respect Obama
- 58:37Speaker 1: the office, we have to do the same thing. With
- 58:39Speaker 1: Trump because it's a it's a two way sword. But
- 58:42Speaker 1: he's bringing the office down though he really is. Well,
- 58:44Speaker 1: as Americans, we're making it hard. He really is making it.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I just call it the country and just start apologizes.
- 58:50Speaker 1: I don't care. But yeah, even if our guy is
- 58:53Speaker 1: not in office, the guy we voted for, the woman
- 58:56Speaker 1: we voted for, whatever, we still have to respect as Americans.
- 58:59Speaker 1: We that's what you said. I mean all my life.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I didn't vote for George Bush, but he was the president, right,
- 59:09Speaker 1: So I didn't dog. Yeah, I didn't vote for Richard Nixon,
- 59:12Speaker 1: but he was the president. I didn't dog it, you know,
- 59:17Speaker 1: I just didn't dog it. Jay didn't vote for grow
- 59:20Speaker 1: for Cleveland, but I didn't dog. He wasn't alive when
- 59:25Speaker 1: Grover Cleveland was two hours he said, a damn thing
- 59:37Speaker 1: bringing it back. One thing you have to do a
- 59:39Speaker 1: little on this show is take a hit when a
- 59:41Speaker 1: hit comes your way. I've been I'm down. I'm down.
- 59:47Speaker 1: All right? Did we go with the letter? Come on? Tell,
- 59:50Speaker 1: hold on tight, we gotta you here. It is the
- 59:53Speaker 1: str letter object object. He loves to do it. That
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: is the subject. Let's get into it, all right. He
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: finally Hello, Stephen Shirley. I am a forty three year
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: old female and I've always dated older men. Well. About
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: eight months ago, I started dating a thirty six year
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: old man, and after seven months of dating, we decided
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: to be intimate. Now here's the problem. I guess since
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: he's younger than me, he wants to have sex or
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: make love three to four times a night, seven days
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: a week. I work nights and he works days. When
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I get off, I'm tired. I have tried to talk
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to him about this and told him that I need
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: my rest. His response was that we should do quickie
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: sometimes instead of full sessions. This was not what I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: wanted to hear. This was not it. Can you give me,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: please some advice on this situation. This is running the
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: love I have for him. This is ruining the love
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I had for him because I can't take all of
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the bedroom action. Should I break up with this younger man?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Please help? WHOA be careful what you wish for? Because
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you you you're not You didn't I guess one. You
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: didn't tell us why you and the older man broke up.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: But you guys were no longer together. You probably should
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: have stayed with him. Maybe he wasn't doing it enough
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: for you, but you should have stuck with the older guy.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I mean, this is too much, clearly for you, for anyone.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I don't even see how the thirty six year old
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: can handle this. You guys are just sexually incompatible. Three
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: to four times a night, seven days a week. Yeah,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I see your lips moving, but I don't believe anything
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: that's coming out of your mouth. I really don't this.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: This is a lot for any human. It's a lot
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: for any human. I'm just sorry. Your nerves, Remember your nerves.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: It's just a lot for anyone, you know. I don't
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: know how much longer you're gonna be able to keep up.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: You're already tired. Have you talked to him about it?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: If you have, he probably doesn't want to hear it.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And if you're not doing it, he's probably gonna go
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: out and get it to someplace else. You guys are
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: simply sexually incompatible. It is too much for you. Uh
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: And unless you, you know, want to adhere to what
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: he's doing, unless he brings it down, that's the only
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: way this is gonna work. I don't I don't see that.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I don't see this relationship working I really don't. Yeah,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you might have to break up with this younger man
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: because you can't handle him, simple as that, Steve. Oh, well,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: we come back. I already know what's wrong. I'm straightening
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: it all cracks back, all right. Steve's gonna have part
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: two of his response to Today's Strawberry Letter when we
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: come back. Part Well, that's right, that's right. You're to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: see Steven Show, all right, coming up in about twenty minutes.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: I'm excited about this. The girl j p Henson will
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: be our special guest. Yes, but right now, Steve, come on,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: it's up to you. Well, is a forty three year
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: old female and she always dated older men in the past,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: but now she didn't dip down into the pool and
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: started dating a dune at thirty six. After seven months
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: of dating, they decided to be intimate. Yeah, well, I
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: guess since he's younger than me, he wants to have
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: sex or make love three to four times a night,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: seven days a week. All right. I worked nights, he
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: worked days. When I get off, I'm tired. I've tried
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to talk to this boy about this. I'd have told
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: him I needing damn rest. His response ward, and we
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: can do some quickly sometimes instead of full session. That
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: was not what I wanted to hear. And you please
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: give me some advice on this situation. This is ruined
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: the love I have for him because I can't take
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: all this being room actions. Should I break up with
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: this younger man? Please help? Well, let's go. Let's do
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: some numbers. Right you're dating a man to seven years
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: younger than you. He thirty six, I'm six. I remember
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: them days, but I will not go three four times
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a night, seven days a week. Ridiculous. Where does he work?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: That is his goals in life? Do we have anything
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: he won't other than some tale? Right now? He's got
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to be your one aim in life? When you got
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: to have a three four times week, seven days a week,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: and let's do it. If it three times week, got
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: twenty one times. If it's four times a week, four
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: times a night, that eight times. What ain't nothing left?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Boy is in bad shape. Now let's go into this
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: party right here? When I get off, I'm tired. So
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I talked to him about it, and I told him
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: that I need my rest. His responsible we are we
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: should just do quickly sometimes instead of full session. But
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: what we're learning is that he has no friends. Of
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: cutting back, we're gonna do it the same amount of time.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: We can shorten the list. These sessions can turn in
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: the quickest, but to go in it's gonna happen. This
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: is going to happen. Now. That ain't what I want
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: to do here. Can you please give me some vice?
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: This is ruined the love out have I can't take
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: all this bid room action. Okay, well you can't take
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: the bed room. Should I break up with this young man? Please?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Hip damn to this is yes, you must break up
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: night and listen to me. Ain't know. You don't need
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: no one last night. You got this now here. You
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: need one more night because that's more time. Normally you
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: would hear people say, well that's just one more time.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: See one more night for this boy. He don't give
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: us lose your job because this boy don't know. He
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: don't have no time. Now. A couple of things is
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: happening here. He's first of all, this is new to him. Yeah,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: this is like a new toy to him, and he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: ain't got past the newness of it. See. Plus, let
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: me tell you something. The letter that I saw after
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: seven months a date right there you held a man
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: up for seven months full he's making up for lost term.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: This is seven seven months of waiting. Even you say
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: three you made did boy wait seven months? Now he
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: in that backtrack. This is called retro active. That's what
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: this is. This is I'm now I'm getting it for
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: what I should have got back then. So dud could
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: be going through the makeup period in his mind. Now
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you can have one more conversation with him and say,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: listen to me, I love you. But in order for
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: us to remain together, this is what we're gonna have
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: to do. We're gonna have to work this out because
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: of our shift. Different is different. I would night you
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: are days blah blah blah blah blah. We need some
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: time off. Now, will he go somewhere else? Probably? So
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: got to because Jack Rabbit Johnson committing Jack Rabbit, jack
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Rabbit Johnson committed. Jack Rabbit Johnson's committed to doing what
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: he do. And now you have a situation. Now I
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: don't agree that you should date older men, but I
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: think you're gonna have. Then you went through a seven
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: month here, so you thought you knew it, but you
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: didn't know how it was in the bed room. See
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: what you gotta start doing this? You gotta start, you
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: gotta break. You gotta bring them me in slowly. You
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: held him off for seven months. You gotta walk in slowly.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Now what's gonna be hard for you to do is
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you can't backtrack and start reducing the amount of sex
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you have because he gonna know you can't backtrack it.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: So now that she's up to three or four times
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: a night, she's got to stay there. Is that what
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you're saying, You're gonna have to start missing night? Yeah,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: coming up missing some double shift. See what you're gonna
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: have to do is you're gonna have to take off something.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: You had to come up with some excuse me. You
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: got to get into some type of program. You can
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: get away from it far a six weeks. If you're
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: in a rehab programs you Yeah, you get witness detection program.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: That's another one. You could attempt to kill him and
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: go on the run. That's another way to get away. Yeah,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you could get yourself into a self induced coma after
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: to put you in it. You could do some things.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: But if you keep going in there for nights, four
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: times a night, you're gonna be in a car. This
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: boy trying to pops up too much. That's eighty four
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: times a month on the lowing eight. But on the
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: half all old man, don't come over here with that
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: because you don't get the same damn thing. Okay that
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: the high you could do eighty folks or a twelve.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: We gotta go, we gotta get out of here. I
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: think the real problem is he ain't that damn good. No, really,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: because then the four times a night you're working, you
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: you're doing something that ain't effect You're listening, Steve, we
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: got our special guests on the phone. We promised you
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: this morning. She's a stella actress. She continues to outdo
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: herself in every new role that she does. In her role,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: A's cooking Lord, him messing cooking on Himpie, she was
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the best to ever do it. H Well. The fall

- 1:11:19Speaker 1: as one of the girl you. You're putting it together.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: How you been I've been good. I've been good. It's busy,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: but I'm enjoying this Christmas break, that's for sure. Well, well,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: we're about to get on our Christmas break. We ain't
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: on the check, but we're about to. I'm looking forward to. Hey,

- 1:11:46Speaker 1: What can we expect on the finalite that you can tell? Um? Well,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: you know, we always get our man right. You're not
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: gonna get over and the lions and get away with it.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: So we have to handle some business. Somebody gonna die.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I'm just gonna put it like that, man who I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: like it? And let me ask you this, has Cookie
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: been one of your favorite roles? Or how do you
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: cause if we had talked one time and you said,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: when you get through doing Cookie, you exhausted. Yeah, she
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: she's a lot. Um, she's a she's very emotional. She's
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: juggling a lot. We're dealing with a lot of the flashbacks,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: you know, when she was in prison, so those those
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: moments were kind of very, you know, very painful for her.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: So you know, it's a lot they stretched me on
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: that show, and I'm telling you, I was so happy
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: for that last day on the break, I was rushing them.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I was like, I'm in the car, I'm ready already.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I was ready for my break to get away from her.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: But it's hard to get away from her because the
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: fans that they forget that my mama named me, so
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: they just called me Cookie. Yeah, and that's my beautiful
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: at freaking name. My mom and my daddy looked through
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: the book for you know, Cookie is not real. You know,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: that's a question I want to ask you. Do people
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: just talk to you like you Cookie? They don't even
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: see they're gonna cook, Like we had a conversation like
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: the I know, I know, but you know, some days,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm doing my feelers, I don't be
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: feeling like Cookie. I'll bee it makes the hairs on
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the back of my next fand up. Sometimes you know,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: fans don't understand that, you know, no, they don't. Hey,

- 1:15:48Speaker 1: on your mind? You got to complain with me sometime.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: But she did say it. I mean don't but but
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: but ain't like she ain't. Fine. No, it's very different.

- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I don't know. It won't affect the music, but we're
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: gonna have your dress up like it's the nineties of
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: the seven y'all. Let me know whether y'all want to
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: do seven and nine Sei Veil bottoms after all? Come?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hot pass Yeah. We're gonna have Tears of
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Joy comedy show with your favorite comedians, and we're about
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: to find out who they're gonna be. We already know
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: it's Junior. Hey, yes you want, but I find out
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: from these two old bassards if they're going to hell
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: with it. I just said it. And we're gonna have
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: a showtime with dear Apolo Knights. So if you want
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to come on out, you can't. I showed Wood. Let him.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I bet I showed Wood. Okay. Then we're gonna have
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: like an act like a success master class, and my
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: partner Dereene Raymond can quit tripping. You don't have to come.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: It was just we called it to act like a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: success master class. Uh, and it's just really uh yeah,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: And that's that's that's all inclusive to the beauty Bar.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: It's gonna be hosted by my wife, Marjorie. Several people
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: have approached her about that, so we'll be talking about that.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: The beauty bar hosted by my girl. Uh, the Stephen
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Marjorie Harvey Golf Classic will be out there. Jazz and
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: cocktails on the beach. We're gonna have cigars and Cognac's
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: rolled on site, you know what I'm saying. And a
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: grand finale concert that will be on Saturday night though
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: in case you all gotta leave, someone had a big
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: concert on you won't so you won't miss it. And
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: what I will not do is do a concert every
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: night and then the after party every night, because I
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: found out y'all asked old and you can't do that much.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: All right, listen up more of the Steve Harpy Morning
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Show dot com. Y'all you're listening to the Steve Morning Show.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: All right. Listen, something happened in the state of Alabama
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: last Obama maybe asked him to come sign back up. Huh.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Something happened in Alabama last night. As I was saying
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: that hasn't happened in twenty five years, a Democrat won
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: the election for the Senate race down there. It was
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: Democrat Doug Jones and whitely respected former US A. Churny.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: He uh narrowly defeated Republican Roy Moore in Alabama's special
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Senate election. That makes Jones the first Democrat to be
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: elected to the United States Senate in Alabama in twenty
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: five count them years. Anyway, congratulations to Doug Moore. We've
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: been taking your phone calls all day. A lot of
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: people from the state of Alabama have been calling in. Uh,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: you guys did it down there Alabama? In Alabama? That's right.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: You want to take some more phone calls, Steve. And
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: that number is one again, a seven. You better know it?
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: A roll tied appropriate right now? Can you say roll tied?
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Is that appropriate for something like that? He used to
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: work for tid Let's go, Let's go the line three
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: and talk to uh Jane out of New Orleans. Jane, Jane, Jane, Hello,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Hey Jane, how you doing. No, it's Jamie. Oh Jamie. Well,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: I just repeated what Shirley told me. It's Jane on
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: the board. Did you ain't even checked me about your name.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: I'm just sorry, James, Jamie, I mean, I'm Jamie. I'm sorry.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: It's Jamie. It's Jamie or Jamie Okay, yeah, Jaie, Hey Jamie,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: what's your comment? Dollar time? My coming is I am
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: truly goodad in twenty five years we have a Democrat
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: in Alabama because maybe he can get in and do somethings.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Because I'm a little afraid of what's going on in
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: that White House a little well yeah, yeah, I mean
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: we're we're very concerned about what's going on, right But
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: you know, once again, I think we could we We
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: gotta get more than just Doug Jones in though. We
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: got you guys to really make a difference, because we're
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: still two seats short in the Senate. If you're a
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Democrat or an independent or liberal thinking person, and I
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: want to say this about both sides, I I agree
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: with both sides of the isle at times. There are
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: some values that the Conservative Party has. I just don't
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: want you to be hypocritical about those values, you know.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: And now some wonderful values and things that Democratic Party
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: stands for. It's that the Democrats have a tendency to
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: be more lenient when it comes to helping the downtrodden
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: and the Republican calls. Sometimes it's more of a pull
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: yourself up by the bootstraps, which is a wonderful thing,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: which is what you're gonna have to do in this country.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: But oftentimes you need help because if you can, if
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: you don't have no boots, what straps not at all?
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Education Asian wise for poor people, medical care for poor care,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: and that's what we need to change those things right
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: and definitely everything. All right, Jeney, thank you so much. Okay, sorry,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: we're welcome. Very good baby. I'm like, thank you, yeah, alright,
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: uh okay, all right. We'll take more of your phone
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: calls as the morning progresses. This is our last hour,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: but we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Morning Show. Yes, yes, yes, okay, I'm not I know,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: I know, I know. We have so many people on
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: the phones waiting to get to talk to you today, Steve.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Let's let's go. Yeah, let's go to line too and
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: talk to Valerie out of Birmingham. Valerie, Valerie, Good morning, Steve,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: good out. Valeris comment about the election last night, My comment,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: it's consistency. Any time or something like this happened and
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: we pulled together as a community, we can make it
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: happen every time, every lection. And it's going to take
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: consistency and the commund just gonna have to get out
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: and vote. I agree, that's very well said. It takes consistency.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: She's absolutely right, because when you do it, you see
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: that you can make a difference. This proves it over.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: I don't matter if I voted on able one vote no,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: you change the it's the unity of the vote. And
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: like you said, we have to come together and put
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: it together an agenda to make things happens. Lett know
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: what it is that we want and what we need
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: in our community. True, that's true. State well stated Valerie.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: Thank you so very much, Thank you, thank you for
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: a wonderful day, and congratulations to the state of Alabama. Alabama.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: All right, let's go to line three and talk to
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Christopher out of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Tuscaloosa, christ Loop, Alabama, and
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: I want to shout out to the state of Alabama. Man,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: we did our thing, you know, and uh, people like
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: Richard Shelby, you know, he didn't have to step in
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: and do what he did, but we want to shout
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: out to him. Charles Barkley, you know, and uh all
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: the people who got out and many things happen, you know,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: and today you know. I mean, we're watching change happening
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: in the state of Alabama as I speak. You know,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: we are progressing as a city. We're making better choices
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: for our kids and what have you. And then one
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: thing I want to say, Steve Harvey, and then you know,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna let it go. Uh. I'm like from the
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: sixtest born and I can recall what sitting in and
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: then with my mom and father and we're watching Jesse Jackson.
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: He was going for president, and my mother used always
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: tell my dad, Gus, I don't know why you voting
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: for Jesse Jackson. He's not gonna win. But today I
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: have been blessed to see a black African American president.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: So when one guy called in and talked about reparations,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: we're gonna be hopeful and we're gonna be prayerful, and
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: we're gonna watch the man above make things happen, you know,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: because he's in charge. Yeah, shout out, shout out to
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: Randall Wolf and to the young black mayor from Birmingham,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: really responsible for getting a lot of African American vote
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: out in Birmingham. So yeah, they shut up. So let
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: me ask you question that great commentary man are you
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Are you saying that there's a shot at reparations, Yes, sir,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I mean you know, like I shared with you back
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: then when my mother just telling my father about you know,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: why are you making your one vote for Jesse Jacklin.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: He's gonna never be president and today we have lived
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: to see African American president anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's cool.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: Um yeah, well, okay, all right, Morgan, phone calls coming up. Thanks.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: we are the last break of the day with just
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: one more thing. We've been taking your phone calls all
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: morning long. A lot of people from the state of Alabama.
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: Coat on a lighter note Tomorrow night, Yes, Steve at

- 1:33:25Speaker 1: gonna be hilarious, and it's gonna be it's coming on

- 1:34:52Speaker 1: which one who who's p the creator? It was a
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: great piece of theater. That was a big piece of rocks.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: She just threw that just happened. Ray, was you, Shirley
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Strawberry Berry? What happened? Telly? You threw a rocket? Crazy?
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: We've worked the headlight the people down in Savannah because
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: we got in the hotel that morning. Was out that eat.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: But you know what, I didn't even get to check in.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: Before I checked in, they set the stage up and
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: took it down at the same time. He asked me,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: He said, surely this is a great play, great exposure
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: for you. You can come out with us, introduced to
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: play in all these different cities one city, damn, because
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: we're going on tour all of this one city, all
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: in advanced airlines. Yes, all of this different, going on
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: the road for weeks, weeks or cloth? What one outfits?
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: He had to get had to get back over the play.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: I'm back my cleaning. Didn't even come back from the hotel.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: I thought we were gonna stay in, so I had
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: to stay an extra day in the first week theater.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: How is it that you weren't involved in the play
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: at all, Steve, because we all were I knew better.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: I told his ass not to do no damn play
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: on January third. You ain't nobody got no money Christmas?
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: All the money up on Christmas in New Year's Eve, man,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: people got to regroup. Ain't nobody fit to do that?
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you know who else said that? It
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: was you and the house manager at the theater when
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: the when the manager said, everybody for a minute, you knew, Yeah,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Yeah. Well, she just resigned from the White House.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: She was an aide to President Trump and she just
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: cleaning hound getting all the black people coming back hotly.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Did she get married, Yeah she did. She got married.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: Oh so that's her name. Amarosa resigns from the White House.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: Can't take it no more. I'm gonna tell you who next.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: Let me explain something you because we've had a thing
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: about this, because Ad and I told Sherley. Shirley starting
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: to see what I'm saying. I don't think Sarah Huckabee
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: can last much long. I keep saying, she's a tough cookie,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: she's hard to crack. She is visibly struggling, but with
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: the job. I can see the cracks now. No man,
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: she can see him. She's not. She just doesn't appear
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: to be holding up will Yeah, she's getting more and
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: more hostile, right because she is more and more irritated
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: because no man and it and it takes a good
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: person and it makes you sick. Sean Spicer, I actually
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: liked him because I said, man, that's the dude I
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: would love to have working from it, because he was
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: trying to hold the party line. And then he just went, man,
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: I can't. That's one of the most stressful like that,
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: every day, every game, you have to spend everything and
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: he doesn't help you with the tweets. And and then
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: when the reporters got you and they started asking them questions,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: it's really really right because the question your answer doesn't
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: relate to the tweet that he's putting out. I mean,
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: how can you work like that? He ain't told you
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: what he he do, He has no idea. Been a
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: great day, Everybody, do one last favor. Go to Steve
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Harvest saying his soul and check out the eight opportunity,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: have yourself a good time and give somebody a great
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: Christmas guilt. God loves you. Man, y'all have a great weekend. Okay,
