- 2:02Speaker 1: show will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. I want it only Steve
- 2:08Speaker 1: Harvey Man oh Man got a radio show, got going
- 2:12Speaker 1: for you today. And it just happened to me. You know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I was going through something that I've been going through
- 2:18Speaker 1: for a long long time and just weary of it all,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and I was I've been talking to God about it,
- 2:24Speaker 1: and I mean for years. Though. What happened was I
- 2:28Speaker 1: had had to go through some more of it yesterday
- 2:31Speaker 1: again in a situation. But you know what, after it
- 2:35Speaker 1: was over, you know, I kind of laid in it
- 2:37Speaker 1: for a little while. You know how you've been going
- 2:39Speaker 1: through something for so long, and then even if it's over,
- 2:42Speaker 1: appears to be over, you still kind of lay in
- 2:45Speaker 1: it a little bit. And you know, you have a while. Man,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I can't believe I've been dealing with this this long,
- 2:50Speaker 1: even though even though it was over. I don't know
- 2:53Speaker 1: how you do it, but this was so good for me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Have you ever counted, Steve Harvey, how many times you
- 3:00Speaker 1: made it? And so that's what I started doing yesterday,
- 3:04Speaker 1: And that's what I did this morning. When I woke up.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I was actually taking an inventory account of how many
- 3:11Speaker 1: times I made it. How many times, man, I didn't
- 3:15Speaker 1: have a rent and somehow I came up with it.
- 3:17Speaker 1: How many times I didn't have my house payment and
- 3:21Speaker 1: somehow I came up with it. How many times I
- 3:24Speaker 1: was out of money, did not have enough, didn't didn't
- 3:27Speaker 1: see no way, but somehow I came up with it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: How many times I got sick, thought, well, man, this
- 3:34Speaker 1: one right here. I don't know what I'm gonna do,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but somehow I got my health back. How many situations
- 3:42Speaker 1: I have found myself in? That was I thought at
- 3:46Speaker 1: the time, detrimental and diabolical and man so sinister at times,
- 3:53Speaker 1: somehow I made it. I look at all the accidents
- 3:57Speaker 1: I've been in, but he kept me made it. I
- 4:01Speaker 1: think about even the simplest times of like stepping off
- 4:03Speaker 1: a curve and almost got hit, but I made it.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was just tripping the other day. I was I
- 4:09Speaker 1: was thinking about the times that I've been hit by
- 4:12Speaker 1: a car and it could have been worse, but it wasn't,
- 4:14Speaker 1: And I made it through that too. I was thinking about, Man,
- 4:18Speaker 1: when they count you out. Do you know how many
- 4:21Speaker 1: times I've been counted out? He's done? He ain't gonna
- 4:25Speaker 1: be nothing. He ain't nobody See what I told y'all,
- 4:29Speaker 1: look at over that they counsel this, he offer that
- 4:32Speaker 1: he out of here. He ain't gonna make it. He
- 4:34Speaker 1: didn't got fired. Man, You know how many times I've
- 4:37Speaker 1: been counted out? You know how many times they didn't
- 4:39Speaker 1: wrote me off? How many times have you been written off? Man?
- 4:42Speaker 1: But here you still stand? You know you've a tripped
- 4:45Speaker 1: on it. Taking inventory y'all of how many times? Count
- 4:50Speaker 1: the times you've made it? What about the times man,
- 4:52Speaker 1: when nobody was there to encourage you? But you still
- 4:56Speaker 1: here though you've tripped on that? Ain't nobody call you
- 5:00Speaker 1: and told you good day? No nobody called you and
- 5:02Speaker 1: told you recently thank you. No one's called you and
- 5:04Speaker 1: told you how much you meant to them. How much
- 5:06Speaker 1: you've done for them, A man, that you can make it.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Never give up, Keep your head up, man, keep grinding.
- 5:11Speaker 1: But you still here even when nobody have you counted
- 5:15Speaker 1: the times man, that you made it anyway? You counted
- 5:20Speaker 1: the times that you felt like quitting, you felt like
- 5:23Speaker 1: giving up, you kept going. How about the time this
- 5:27Speaker 1: is a good one right here? How about the times man,
- 5:29Speaker 1: when everybody's standing around saying, ain't no way, ain't no way. Man.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I can't tell how many times I've heard this, ain't
- 5:35Speaker 1: no way, and then somehow there is a way. You
- 5:40Speaker 1: know why, because he make away? You understand. You know
- 5:44Speaker 1: how many times I've heard this one right here? Steve,
- 5:47Speaker 1: listen to me, man, nobody ever before hasn't done that.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You can't do that. How many times you haven't heard no,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you aren't you know anybody didn't done that. You can't
- 5:58Speaker 1: do that. No one has ever done that. I made
- 6:01Speaker 1: it anyway. You know. They don't normally or we don't
- 6:09Speaker 1: normally allow this, but in this case, for you, we
- 6:15Speaker 1: gonna make an exception. How many times have you heard that, Oh,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I think I'm on to something. How many times have
- 6:22Speaker 1: you heard in your lifetime we don't normally or they
- 6:27Speaker 1: don't normally allow this, but we gonna make this exception
- 6:31Speaker 1: in your case. How many times you didn't heard that?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Have you ever counted the times that you made it?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Everybody out accept me? How can that be? You know
- 6:48Speaker 1: you're the only one that got through this? Congratulations? Wow? Man,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I don't I don't hardly see this too many times.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But do you realize that normally this is what happened
- 6:58Speaker 1: to people? But man, and y'all don't know how your
- 7:01Speaker 1: name came up, but here you are. Wow, it never
- 7:04Speaker 1: happens like that. You ever counted those times I was
- 7:07Speaker 1: doing it yesterday? I was doing it this morning. I
- 7:10Speaker 1: was just taking an inventory of everybody of how many
- 7:13Speaker 1: times I've made it. So what I learned yesterday was
- 7:18Speaker 1: when God gets you through something, when he pulled you
- 7:21Speaker 1: out on the other side, no matter how difficult or
- 7:25Speaker 1: how long it took. When He gets you out on
- 7:27Speaker 1: the other side, why don't you get up, dust yourself
- 7:31Speaker 1: off and start trotting what you laying there for man,
- 7:35Speaker 1: wallowing in it, going over it, recycling it in your mind.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So many people can't move forward because we keep recycling
- 7:45Speaker 1: stuff in our mind. When clearly, it's time to move on.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's time to let go. It's time to go and
- 7:56Speaker 1: see what God has for you. Stop looking at what
- 7:59Speaker 1: you lost. What you lost was probably not yours to
- 8:04Speaker 1: have in the first in the first place. Do you
- 8:12Speaker 1: know the things I've lost? I'm not talking about losing
- 8:16Speaker 1: the love one, a mother or father, nothing like that.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm talking about innate objects or situation. Do you know
- 8:23Speaker 1: the things I've lost? Man, I look back on it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I wasn't supposed to have him in the first place,
- 8:27Speaker 1: or they was doing me no good. I wasn't wasn't
- 8:30Speaker 1: mine to lose, but I claimed I lost it. Come on, man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: taking inventory, everybody. Start looking at the things man, that
- 8:37Speaker 1: God has brought you through. Start looking at how many
- 8:39Speaker 1: times He allowed you to make it. And get glad
- 8:42Speaker 1: about waking up in the morning. Man, Get glad about
- 8:44Speaker 1: your life. Start feeling something positive about your situation. You
- 8:48Speaker 1: cannot expect God to continue to bless you if you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: not grateful for the things that you have. Why would
- 8:55Speaker 1: God sitting down here looking at you, upset and angry,
- 9:01Speaker 1: laying in the waller of what you are not grateful for.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You just can't find the see find no gratitude in
- 9:09Speaker 1: your heart about nothing, but you steady asking God for something.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So now you think God is crazy. You think he
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna give you some most stuff to not be grateful for.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Why would he do that. He's
- 9:21Speaker 1: too full of too much mercy to send you through that.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Over and over and over. The more I give my child,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the more ungrateful they are, the less gratitude they show.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But I'm gonna keep dumping it on them so they
- 9:32Speaker 1: can keep feeling ungrateful and show like a gratitude. God's
- 9:36Speaker 1: not gonna do that to you. Come on, man, have
- 9:39Speaker 1: you ever counted how many times you made it? I
- 9:45Speaker 1: can't count how many times God didn't gotten me through something.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But when He gets you through it, you can't get
- 9:50Speaker 1: up and get on about your business. Don't lay that
- 9:53Speaker 1: in it. It's over, it's done, you made it, you
- 9:55Speaker 1: survived it. Let's go, Let's go. You're listening to Harvey
- 10:00Speaker 1: Morning Show. Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls gather around the
- 10:09Speaker 1: radio like his nineteen forty seven. These are the following
- 10:16Speaker 1: voices of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Charlie Strawberry, Colin
- 10:21Speaker 1: Farrell Junior, and the legend that is nephew Tommy Bros.
- 10:28Speaker 1: There's another voice behind that. We only get to here,
- 10:31Speaker 1: Thank god you don't. She is one of the producers
- 10:35Speaker 1: of the show. She's straight out of Mississippi. This is
- 10:38Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I am that, damn Steve Harvey.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Let's begin, Junior, what's on your mind today? Let's talk
- 10:48Speaker 1: about it unk band peaks and valley peaks and valleys. Uncle,
- 10:53Speaker 1: can you give me example? And people are that are
- 10:56Speaker 1: listening examples of what lessons you learned while being in
- 10:59Speaker 1: the valley, because that's where that's where it's hard, is
- 11:01Speaker 1: at in the valor and learning the lessons while you're
- 11:05Speaker 1: in the valley. Junior, it's a strange way that you
- 11:09Speaker 1: ask your questions because when you have a person on
- 11:21Speaker 1: the shoulders, his peak level is stupidity. Yeah, when he
- 11:25Speaker 1: makes a comment, it sounds like it's coming out the
- 11:28Speaker 1: valid but he is at peak performance when it comes
- 11:33Speaker 1: to ignance. Ship. Yeah, and sometimes dealing with that is
- 11:37Speaker 1: better than dealing with your question. Let's talk about the
- 11:39Speaker 1: peak on the peak of ignorance is on that show,
- 11:45Speaker 1: the peak of stupidity on this show. Yeah, Yeah, have
- 11:49Speaker 1: other elements on the show. You got Sherldan, you got calling,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you got other elements on the show. But if you
- 11:54Speaker 1: won't peak stupidity, that it is right there. He came in.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I didn't had to ask. I said, if you want
- 12:06Speaker 1: peak stupidity? And then I waited, well, I don't, I
- 12:10Speaker 1: don't know how what what you want me to do?
- 12:13Speaker 1: Don't just be the peak, be your peak. Don't try
- 12:18Speaker 1: to be no peak. You eight. You hurt yourself jumping
- 12:21Speaker 1: from peak to peak. That's that's too high, up to peaks,
- 12:26Speaker 1: peaks high. Why don't you go away up there when
- 12:31Speaker 1: you could be stupid all the way down here? Whole word,
- 12:40Speaker 1: the whole situation I'm dealing with. Hed Okay, you know
- 12:44Speaker 1: what's wrong? Man. I ain't worry about the food here.
- 12:47Speaker 1: That's okay. Man. Let me help you a little bit.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You you're in the valley right now. I mean, I'm
- 12:51Speaker 1: just trying to learn, listen in this ballet on how
- 12:53Speaker 1: to keep my attitude together in this battle. But he
- 12:55Speaker 1: everybody got valid. Yeah, they called tests, they call life experiences.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You really can't expect to stay on the peak all
- 13:05Speaker 1: the time. See if you stayed on the peak all
- 13:07Speaker 1: the time, you would have no appreciation for the peak,
- 13:10Speaker 1: and you would not know what the peak looked like,
- 13:12Speaker 1: because in your mind you would level it off and
- 13:15Speaker 1: all of a sudden something that's wonderful and glorious. You
- 13:17Speaker 1: would treat it as mundane and normal to watch this
- 13:21Speaker 1: hill here we go, Come on, Why wouldn't we Why
- 13:24Speaker 1: wouldn't we just move? Why we gotta be way up
- 13:26Speaker 1: and way down right? Why don't we find something? Find something? Me? No,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I miss it up today, tommey, don't worry about I
- 13:35Speaker 1: miss it up. Don't worry about it, thank you, sir.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Coming up thirty two minutes after the hour, we're gonna
- 13:40Speaker 1: run that prank back with the nephew right after this
- 13:44Speaker 1: you're listening show, It is time now to start your
- 13:49Speaker 1: morning off with the nephew and run that prank back.
- 13:51Speaker 1: What you got for his nav turning? Me and my
- 13:54Speaker 1: wife are searching for his sarrogant mother. I didn't found
- 13:57Speaker 1: somebody down there at the church, but I'm gonna talk
- 14:00Speaker 1: to the husband and see if you don't man and
- 14:01Speaker 1: me and his wife get together, because I want this
- 14:04Speaker 1: thing done the right way, you know, naturally. All right,
- 14:08Speaker 1: very good, mother, let's go cat. Can I speak to Roger? Yea, Roger, Hey,
- 14:14Speaker 1: this Calvin Man. How you doing. I go to the
- 14:15Speaker 1: same church y'all go to Okay, I got your number
- 14:18Speaker 1: from one of the guys at the church. Man. They
- 14:20Speaker 1: told me that if I wanted to talk to y'all,
- 14:22Speaker 1: I could reach out to you or whatever. How you
- 14:24Speaker 1: doing today? I'm good, man, I'm good. I can help
- 14:26Speaker 1: your your wife. Man, does she I'm not trying to
- 14:28Speaker 1: be disrespectful anything, but she seems to be real fit.
- 14:31Speaker 1: She does she work out all the time. Yeah, she
- 14:33Speaker 1: go to January once in a while. Bro. Yeah, who
- 14:35Speaker 1: who is this? Bro? Like I said, my name Calvin Man.
- 14:38Speaker 1: We go to the same church. Listen, me and my
- 14:41Speaker 1: wife been trying for a long time, man, to actually
- 14:43Speaker 1: have some kids. And to be honest with you, Roger Man,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it just ain't happening, dog. I mean we've been trying
- 14:50Speaker 1: and trying. But what I'm trying to do now just
- 14:53Speaker 1: find another type of way to make this happen. Now,
- 14:57Speaker 1: you say your wife is in good condition, right, I
- 15:00Speaker 1: work visiting a good condition. Brother. What what did she
- 15:02Speaker 1: got to do is trying to have a baby? She
- 15:05Speaker 1: You know y'all already got kids, don't you. Y'all got
- 15:08Speaker 1: like from what the brother the church told me, y'all
- 15:10Speaker 1: got three kids right there? We got three. I got
- 15:12Speaker 1: two boys in the girl. Okay, here's what I'm trying
- 15:16Speaker 1: to do. Man, I was hoping that I could find somebody,
- 15:20Speaker 1: a female that would be a good Sarah Gant mother
- 15:24Speaker 1: or what you know. What I'm saying is like because
- 15:27Speaker 1: my wife, I mean, you know, we want to have kids, man,
- 15:29Speaker 1: we want to have hold on. Brother, you just said
- 15:32Speaker 1: you're looking for a Saragant mother, and the brother the
- 15:35Speaker 1: church told you to call me. Well, no, no, no,
- 15:37Speaker 1: anybody tell me to actually call you. I asked them
- 15:41Speaker 1: about you and your wife. You know, I asked them
- 15:43Speaker 1: for your phone number so I can actually call you myself. Man,
- 15:46Speaker 1: wait a minute, So you've been you've been I and
- 15:48Speaker 1: my wife. No no, no, no, no, no, I ain't been.
- 15:52Speaker 1: You're looking at it wrong. Listen. What I was saying
- 15:55Speaker 1: is that your wife just seems like a healthy, healthy person.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I want to be able to have a him out
- 16:00Speaker 1: the child, man, I really do. Man, me and my wife,
- 16:03Speaker 1: we listen. You called me about my wife and you
- 16:07Speaker 1: want her to be a Sagon mother for you wis
- 16:09Speaker 1: I don't even know while we're on the phone. Brother,
- 16:11Speaker 1: here's the real deal, man, me and my wife we
- 16:14Speaker 1: can't have kids. We've tried and tried and tried, and
- 16:18Speaker 1: you know, biologically, we've just been going through it and
- 16:21Speaker 1: going through it. Man. And I was just you know,
- 16:24Speaker 1: I've seen your wife, she healthy. I see y'all at
- 16:26Speaker 1: church all the time. And I was just like reached out. Man,
- 16:30Speaker 1: maybe somebody wouldn't mind being the Saragan mother for for
- 16:34Speaker 1: for me and my wife so we can have a child.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'll figet a Saregan mother. I mean, hold on them, brother,
- 16:43Speaker 1: You calling me to see if my wife can be
- 16:45Speaker 1: a Saragon mother to your child. And I know it's crazy.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It's crazy and and and I think your mind, brother,
- 16:54Speaker 1: of all the members in the church, you're calling me
- 16:57Speaker 1: to get my wife to have your baby. I know
- 17:00Speaker 1: it sounds crazy. Man, I don't know, but I ignorant. Brother.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry you sound ignorant. Man. There's so many place
- 17:07Speaker 1: to go at doctor baby. I can take you down
- 17:10Speaker 1: to a county court house, can show your kids need
- 17:11Speaker 1: a doctor. I next, but you can go to Africa
- 17:14Speaker 1: like like like all the rest of them people gonna
- 17:15Speaker 1: find your baby. You're gonna call me and my wife.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's twenty thousand members in this church. Do you know
- 17:21Speaker 1: our stupid She said, brother, No, brother, brother, and man, listen, man,
- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm not trying to come across like that. Man, how
- 17:28Speaker 1: are you trying to come across? Brother? You didn't done
- 17:30Speaker 1: it to hear me out, man, I don't want you to. Man,
- 17:32Speaker 1: go ahead, brother, go ahead. Man, Okay, we're looking for
- 17:35Speaker 1: a Sarah grand mother. We look, we've seen your your wife,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and we thought she'd be a great Sarah good mother.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And I know it sounds crazy for me to pick
- 17:43Speaker 1: you out of all the people that go to the church.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I understand that, man, I do. But listen, we would
- 17:48Speaker 1: love for your wife to be the seagant mother. And
- 17:51Speaker 1: we're willing to pay for this. Man, but listen to them,
- 17:55Speaker 1: if you don't mind. We don't want to do this
- 17:57Speaker 1: with no test tubes and all that they mixed my
- 18:01Speaker 1: seed with her with with with her egg. We want
- 18:04Speaker 1: to do this naturally war war war. You you just said, Man,
- 18:10Speaker 1: you gotta understand a real man want to do. I
- 18:13Speaker 1: want to do realistically, you know what I'm saying. I'm
- 18:16Speaker 1: just saying that. Brother, Hold, are you telling me that
- 18:19Speaker 1: you want to have sex with my wife? But I mean,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I mean you know you don't you want to lose
- 18:24Speaker 1: all my Christianity right now? Brother? You want to have
- 18:26Speaker 1: a baby the real way though, you know what I'm saying.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't give a damn having this fake way. You
- 18:30Speaker 1: tell me you want to lay down in the ball
- 18:32Speaker 1: with my wife, but dum, you already got three kids.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Think about the people that can't have it. Doctor baby, Man,
- 18:39Speaker 1: take your there. Ain't gonna doctor damn baby because you
- 18:41Speaker 1: didn't go sit down, psychiatric bro, I don't want to
- 18:44Speaker 1: have your baby. Do you know what you sound like?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Don't crazy? I know it sounds crazy, man. I do
- 18:50Speaker 1: how you getting my number? Man? Mean you get my number?
- 18:54Speaker 1: I got your number for one of the brothers at
- 18:56Speaker 1: the church. Now listen, I'm gonna just be real with
- 18:58Speaker 1: you like a man. I want to come at you
- 19:00Speaker 1: first and talk to you like a man and see
- 19:03Speaker 1: you know if you was cool with the proposition. But look,
- 19:07Speaker 1: come Sunday, I'm gonna go to your wife and just
- 19:09Speaker 1: talk to her. What I'm just gonna go. I'm just
- 19:11Speaker 1: gonna talk to your wife and says you lost your mine.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I told you to answer no night's am me gonna

- 19:18Speaker 1: to talk to my wife? You call my wife right now.
- 19:21Speaker 1: If you called my wife, I'm gonna tell you what's
- 19:23Speaker 1: really gonna happen. You call my wife. Wife next Sunday.

- 19:29Speaker 1: to her next Sunday. Next Sunday, I'm gonna whoop ye.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You ain't gonna do nothing to me. I'm gonna whoop
- 19:34Speaker 1: your man and my wife. We desire a chime too.

- 19:39Speaker 1: I'm handing the middle of this. You lost your mine.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You talk to my wife's next thing you want too?

- 21:07Speaker 1: Page Turner is going to be our special guests. We'll
- 21:09Speaker 1: talk about home design and flipping houses. But right now
- 21:14Speaker 1: it is time to ask the clo. Frankie and Lake.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Charles says, I'm dating a woman that makes me feel
- 21:22Speaker 1: like I'm not good enough for her. She said, she
- 21:25Speaker 1: makes comments, like you know, she makes comments so I'll
- 21:29Speaker 1: know what she likes, but it sounds like criticism to me.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I told her a few things that I like, but
- 21:36Speaker 1: she got mad because they were all dealing with sex.
- 21:40Speaker 1: She always does it to me, So why is she mad? Oh?
- 21:44Speaker 1: I mean, oh, I mean you know understand something now,
- 21:48Speaker 1: didn't you just say? You will a little put off
- 21:52Speaker 1: that your woman kind of makes you think you ain't
- 21:54Speaker 1: good enough for her. And then as soon as you
- 21:59Speaker 1: say something to her what she ain't good enough for you,
- 22:01Speaker 1: she got a problem. So you got a problem with
- 22:03Speaker 1: what she's saying, and she got a problem with what
- 22:06Speaker 1: you say. Watch y'all break up? Who? No? I mean real?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Do hey me? One of y'all happy with each other?
- 22:15Speaker 1: She don't like stuff about you and they bother you.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You don't feel good enough you say something about her
- 22:20Speaker 1: she made Now if you're gonna play tip for t
- 22:23Speaker 1: watch y'all break up y'all torturing and if you're trying
- 22:27Speaker 1: to correct her by sex and all is here you
- 22:30Speaker 1: can find something that don't need correctly. It's out there. Okay.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you, dog, break up
- 22:37Speaker 1: with it? Don't sound like it's good to me? Don't
- 22:39Speaker 1: where all right? Y'all ever compliment each other? Oh? He
- 22:44Speaker 1: doesn't sound like we're moving onto Jasmine in Nassa. Jasine
- 22:51Speaker 1: says my two year old son refuses to go potty
- 22:55Speaker 1: for me. He will only use it when my boyfriend
- 22:57Speaker 1: is around and he tells him, I love you the
- 23:00Speaker 1: sweet baby boys all the time. My mom said, it's
- 23:03Speaker 1: a sign that my guy is a keeper. Is it
- 23:06Speaker 1: a coincidence or the truth? Are you gonna well? I mean,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I mean, look, do you want somebody that's good to
- 23:13Speaker 1: you and your child? What? Are you jealous that the
- 23:18Speaker 1: little boy likes your boyfriend so much? Because is that
- 23:22Speaker 1: what it is you're worrying about? First of all, you
- 23:27Speaker 1: don't potty like your boy potty, So maybe the young
- 23:33Speaker 1: man that you're dating and taughting the little cheerio trick
- 23:36Speaker 1: or something like that, you know, which makes it more
- 23:38Speaker 1: fun to go to bathroom with the man. Because when
- 23:41Speaker 1: you throw the cereal in the toilet bowl and I
- 23:43Speaker 1: get to move the olds to the other side of
- 23:45Speaker 1: the bowl, that's how you potty train the boy. He
- 23:48Speaker 1: might be enjoying that. You don't know what's happening. You know,
- 23:50Speaker 1: you can't play the cereal. Yeah, you ain't gonna be
- 23:54Speaker 1: pushed cheerios over there? Your cheerios just head to the sidewalk.
- 23:58Speaker 1: You ain't gonna make it. We don't know about this,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and then and then when you sit down, we can't
- 24:03Speaker 1: see where cheerios going. See, you ain't even fun to
- 24:06Speaker 1: go in there with. I understand where the little boy
- 24:10Speaker 1: at a little answer. I got a little answer. They
- 24:14Speaker 1: was having trouble partly training to my grandson and b J.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I took them all in there and taught him to
- 24:19Speaker 1: serious works. Boy, you get some fruit loops and throw
- 24:24Speaker 1: it in the water and tell him put the green
- 24:26Speaker 1: was over here and put the ReBs over there. Boy,
- 24:28Speaker 1: he can't wait to go now, he'd be standing in
- 24:31Speaker 1: the bathroom, can't wait to go, pete pop, I gotta
- 24:35Speaker 1: go peek, get the seal, all right, hold on VJ
- 24:37Speaker 1: here like cereal every day. Just turned this into a game.
- 24:43Speaker 1: That's the best. You want to train. You want to party.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Train a little boy that seal in that toilet and
- 24:47Speaker 1: tell him how to fill them circles round. Boy, he'll
- 24:51Speaker 1: be he'll be going that Patrick getting can't wait to
- 24:54Speaker 1: go peete every time he feels he got to go
- 24:57Speaker 1: made being that crime, got no seal on this show.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I end up putting the bowl of seal in the
- 25:04Speaker 1: bath room, keeping it in this asking me going to
- 25:10Speaker 1: throw it in there and start. I got the old
- 25:14Speaker 1: game ignorant show right here, because I ain't got the
- 25:19Speaker 1: force stream I used to have, so I don't. Sometimes
- 25:26Speaker 1: I don't. Sometimes they just flashed around. How about push
- 25:32Speaker 1: your hey, hey, I'm out, come out. I won. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: won you hear that a lot from your bank? I'm out? Okay, Yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 1: we can move on to Tammy and Pittsburgh. Tammy Rights.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I got divorced, but my X and I had sex
- 25:56Speaker 1: right before I divorced. What was final? I found out
- 25:59Speaker 1: that I'm pregnant, but I know it's not my exus child.
- 26:02Speaker 1: The real father of my baby is married and he
- 26:05Speaker 1: has blocked me. Should I let my ex think it's
- 26:07Speaker 1: his child? Oh? See you you're a loaddown You're a
- 26:12Speaker 1: loaddown chick. That's why he that's why he needed and
- 26:17Speaker 1: the real daddy married. Yeah, it's no way if this
- 26:22Speaker 1: is your if this is not your exus child, that
- 26:26Speaker 1: you should put that on that man. It's that's that's
- 26:29Speaker 1: the lowdown, this thing. I was watching this Judge show.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It's on YouTube and you I see it on IgA
- 26:36Speaker 1: pops up on my feed. Sometimes I'm watching the Judge Show.
- 26:39Speaker 1: White guy had got sent to prison? For five years
- 26:45Speaker 1: for non payment of child support. Okay, okay, he goes
- 26:51Speaker 1: to court. After he gets out, takes his girl to court.
- 26:55Speaker 1: The boy standing over there, the boy twenty two years old.
- 26:58Speaker 1: He loved a boy because he'd been the father the
- 27:01Speaker 1: whole time. That took a paternity test, found out the
- 27:05Speaker 1: man wasn't a father, that's question and all that man said,
- 27:11Speaker 1: oh my god, five years because and that man was
- 27:16Speaker 1: broken and that little bit, that little boy was standing
- 27:19Speaker 1: away because he found out that wasn't his daddy. But
- 27:21Speaker 1: then the man went over there hugged the little boy anyway,
- 27:24Speaker 1: he said, I still love that was That was the
- 27:28Speaker 1: worst thing I've ever seen. Y'all. Don't don't do this
- 27:31Speaker 1: to men. If that ain't the man's son, find out
- 27:35Speaker 1: who it is and tell the damn truth because you
- 27:38Speaker 1: mess up lies like that because it don't come out. Wait,
- 27:42Speaker 1: can you repeat the last line you just said, I
- 27:45Speaker 1: wanted some record shock tell truth? Oh about the baby? Yeah? Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah yeah. You can't do that. You could
- 27:56Speaker 1: with the person's life. You can't lie, not in life.
- 28:01Speaker 1: You have to. So here we go, cracken it out,
- 28:04Speaker 1: cracking it out though about life you can't lie in
- 28:08Speaker 1: the life. You must lie wear those T shirts. Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all have in trouble with this.
- 28:19Speaker 1: It's clear. It's clear to you, all right. Last one,
- 28:24Speaker 1: Steve kay and Elmhurst says, I'm forty four, my son
- 28:28Speaker 1: is twenty two and my fiance is twenty eight. My
- 28:32Speaker 1: son hates my fiance, so he said he's not coming
- 28:35Speaker 1: to our wedding. I never thought my son would be
- 28:38Speaker 1: so judge of my relationship. If I have to choose
- 28:41Speaker 1: between my fiance and my son, I am picking my man.
- 28:45Speaker 1: My son has grown and needs to get a life.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Am I right or not? Well? You write about one
- 28:54Speaker 1: choosing her man. You should pick who you want to
- 28:56Speaker 1: pick your man if you want to. Your son got
- 28:59Speaker 1: to deal with that. He don't like him. That ain't
- 29:01Speaker 1: going to change nothing. He was six years older than
- 29:03Speaker 1: your boy, your boy, and thought about women his ain't
- 29:06Speaker 1: I'm telling that right now? All right? Thank you? Philo.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Designer Page
- 29:13Speaker 1: Turner from HGTV will be our special guest. Right you're
- 29:19Speaker 1: listening show, Hey, listen up, everybody, our special guest this morning.
- 29:26Speaker 1: As promise U, she's Actually a twenty year veteran real
- 29:30Speaker 1: estate broker, an expert house flipper, and a television hope.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Listen to Me has over one hundred million dollars in sales.
- 29:41Speaker 1: She is now the co creator, executive producer, and host
- 29:45Speaker 1: of HGTVS Fix My Flip. She's also started an upcoming
- 29:50Speaker 1: season of Rock the Block on HGTV. Now, rarely do
- 29:55Speaker 1: we get to celebrate black women in this field, right
- 29:58Speaker 1: here Harley, so today it is our pleasure to have
- 30:02Speaker 1: her here, ladies and gentlemen, first time on the Steve
- 30:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, on the Steve Harvey Nation, Ladies and
- 30:08Speaker 1: gentlemen wanting on it. Miss Page turns good. Thank you
- 30:15Speaker 1: so much, everybody. Oh my gosh, I'm so grateful to
- 30:18Speaker 1: be here, especially on the first day of women's history
- 30:21Speaker 1: months like or second daylight. I don't know the date,
- 30:24Speaker 1: but I'm excited because but yesterday I would have stayed
- 30:26Speaker 1: up all nights. Will I have actually to speak to
- 30:29Speaker 1: you guys. So I'm so happy to be here last night.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That's good though. Now let me ask you this. You're
- 30:38Speaker 1: licensed real estate broker in three states, but you're based
- 30:43Speaker 1: in Cali, where your show Fixed My Flip is film.
- 30:47Speaker 1: How did this whole show even come about? Well, yes,
- 30:51Speaker 1: I am. I lived in Nashville for a long time
- 30:53Speaker 1: and at forty six, I woke up one morning I
- 30:55Speaker 1: said I want to be on TV. And so, by
- 30:58Speaker 1: grace faith in a really good plan and that I
- 31:00Speaker 1: worked very hard. I got on television. When that show
- 31:03Speaker 1: ended on HG, I said, I'm gonna go back home
- 31:05Speaker 1: now because I raised my three daughter put them through college.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And I said, you know, it's time for my second
- 31:11Speaker 1: chapter of life. And I decided to come back home
- 31:13Speaker 1: to Los Angeles where I was born and raised, and
- 31:16Speaker 1: I was going on meeting people were pitching me different
- 31:18Speaker 1: shows to get back on TV, and I really just
- 31:21Speaker 1: didn't resonate with any of them. So my production partner,
- 31:24Speaker 1: Freddy Bell, and I said, you know what, we know
- 31:26Speaker 1: me best, so let's create a show. So we created
- 31:29Speaker 1: Fixed my Flip at a restaurant and we started shopping
- 31:34Speaker 1: in and then I had an amazing opportunity to pitch
- 31:36Speaker 1: it to the president of HDTV in twenty twenty during
- 31:40Speaker 1: the pandemic. She loved it, she greenlit it, and then
- 31:43Speaker 1: now three years later, we are preparing to air the
- 31:46Speaker 1: second season coming up very soon I fixed my flip.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah that's okay. Now let me get the concept here.
- 31:56Speaker 1: You work with regular people that have completely just told
- 32:00Speaker 1: the houses up, and they need your expertise to complete
- 32:05Speaker 1: their flip. So are these people who bought a house
- 32:08Speaker 1: to flip it tow it up? Didn't know what the
- 32:11Speaker 1: hell they was doing? Then you come in exactly they
- 32:16Speaker 1: get into a flop. You know a lot of times
- 32:17Speaker 1: people look and get into real estate because they see
- 32:21Speaker 1: it as a hustle. I want to get in the game.
- 32:23Speaker 1: And what I immediately come in and correct is that
- 32:25Speaker 1: real estate is not a game. I've made a twenty
- 32:27Speaker 1: year career out of this as a single mom. I
- 32:29Speaker 1: put three kids through private school and college from solely
- 32:33Speaker 1: supporting them from being in real estate. So each flip
- 32:36Speaker 1: that I do is considered a business, and I run
- 32:38Speaker 1: it as a business. And so when I come in,
- 32:40Speaker 1: I'm like, well, you guys are playing this game with
- 32:42Speaker 1: a lot of money and you're losing. So I come
- 32:45Speaker 1: in when they pair up these houses, they lose money.
- 32:47Speaker 1: They don't know what to do with their design plan,
- 32:49Speaker 1: they don't know how to sell it and make money
- 32:51Speaker 1: because they're in a hole that they does themselves. I
- 32:53Speaker 1: come in, helped them get out of that hole, turn
- 32:56Speaker 1: the whole house around, and then we all make money.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I take my part too, because he labor is worthy
- 33:01Speaker 1: of the liar. And Steve she does all of this
- 33:06Speaker 1: in heels looking good. Okay, listen to Junior. Listen to Junior. Yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 1: and walls that's crazy. So but but it's this, it's
- 33:25Speaker 1: this flip business really a good business? Because I hear
- 33:29Speaker 1: so many people talking about I want to flip home.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Is it really a good business? Is there enough deals
- 33:35Speaker 1: out there where you could actually turn it into a
- 33:38Speaker 1: great business. You know, if you run it as a business,
- 33:41Speaker 1: it is. If you run it as a hustle, it
- 33:43Speaker 1: is not. Because like with anything anything you do part
- 33:46Speaker 1: time or that you think is a hobby, it's not
- 33:48Speaker 1: going to work. I have I'm literally a living testimony
- 33:52Speaker 1: that I have done this for It'll be twenty years
- 33:54Speaker 1: in July, and this is how I put my kids
- 33:58Speaker 1: through college death free by the way, So you know,
- 34:02Speaker 1: it is. It is lucrative. It can be a business.
- 34:05Speaker 1: We're in a different market right now, so it makes
- 34:07Speaker 1: it harder. But you know, the ones who survive are
- 34:10Speaker 1: the ones that know how to sell real estate and
- 34:13Speaker 1: not hustle it. Well, you've been doing real estate for
- 34:16Speaker 1: twenty years, so yeah, she's an expert at it twenty years. Yeah. See,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I might as well gonna stay out of it because
- 34:22Speaker 1: you immediately struck me down when you said you either
- 34:25Speaker 1: get into the business or hustle. Hell, I was purely
- 34:28Speaker 1: thinking hustle. I just saw my money flying right on
- 34:34Speaker 1: by me, had wings on it. That's amazing. Hey, listen,
- 34:40Speaker 1: we want to talk about the other project. Because you
- 34:44Speaker 1: were a judge on hgtvs Rock the Block last season,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and then this season you're competing on the show with
- 34:51Speaker 1: Alison Victoria as your partner. Now, what can we expect
- 34:56Speaker 1: this season? What you there? Let me make one like
- 35:00Speaker 1: action Alicon Victorious, she's already come. They a competitor on
- 35:03Speaker 1: the show. She's actually I judged this year because she's
- 35:05Speaker 1: going to be OK. Hold on one second, let me
- 35:08Speaker 1: just tell you something. This page. The only reason I
- 35:10Speaker 1: said that because the lady then work Hill put this
- 35:12Speaker 1: on about paper. No, I don't know. I'm gonna just
- 35:15Speaker 1: be I don't even know who to hear Alison needs.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I have no clue who she is. I don't know
- 35:20Speaker 1: where she worked. I don't know why. I don't know
- 35:22Speaker 1: why we mentioned in her ass because we really just
- 35:25Speaker 1: gonna hear talking about this page Turner. I don't even
- 35:27Speaker 1: watch Alison even on the damn paper. Apologized back because
- 35:33Speaker 1: don't nobody know her. Don't nobody know her? No, she
- 35:37Speaker 1: ain't all here this interview about page Turner. So you
- 35:41Speaker 1: since still Miss page We're coming back. We're gonna talk
- 35:44Speaker 1: with more page Turner. Not don't mention this lady Alison
- 35:48Speaker 1: Victoria because we don't know who she is. But we
- 35:52Speaker 1: do know who Miss page Turner is, and Junior knows
- 35:57Speaker 1: you better than anybody else. Will be back with page
- 36:01Speaker 1: Turner right after this. Y'all. Don't go quait. You're listening,
- 36:09Speaker 1: hight everybody, We're back in our very special guests this morning,
- 36:12Speaker 1: This one and only Miss page Turner, who I just
- 36:15Speaker 1: found out not only Philips houses tears down walls, doesn't
- 36:19Speaker 1: all in high heel yus. She's got a great show.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Uh it's called Fixed My Flip. Uh. The show as
- 36:30Speaker 1: it is taped out of California. She's been in real
- 36:32Speaker 1: estate for over twenty years. She has done over a
- 36:36Speaker 1: hundred million dollars in sales and now she's here, now
- 36:41Speaker 1: she's back. We're talking about You Are a Judge or
- 36:45Speaker 1: HDTV's Rock the Block. Last season. I love this show,
- 36:49Speaker 1: So what can we expect this season? Well, this season,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I'm actually competing and um, we have four teams on
- 36:57Speaker 1: Rock the Block. It is the biggest and most epic
- 36:59Speaker 1: season yet and that's because these homes. Each team, we
- 37:03Speaker 1: have five thousand square feet to reimagine and renovate in
- 37:07Speaker 1: six weeks and we're given a budget of I'm going
- 37:10Speaker 1: to say only two hundred and fifty thousand dollars because
- 37:13Speaker 1: when you think about walking into a home that's already
- 37:16Speaker 1: worth one point nine million, and you need to be
- 37:19Speaker 1: in a competition, and whoever reimagines and renovates this house
- 37:23Speaker 1: to get the highest value two and eventy thousand dollars
- 37:26Speaker 1: will completely dwindle pretty quickly. So it's a really big season.
- 37:30Speaker 1: My partner on the show is Mitch Glue, who's also
- 37:33Speaker 1: my contractor on Fix My Flips, so we make a
- 37:36Speaker 1: dynamic duo and it's super intense. I am nervous about Um. Now,
- 37:41Speaker 1: let me say this, all of the teams we love
- 37:43Speaker 1: each other on camera. On camera, I'm a little nervous
- 37:45Speaker 1: about all my eye rolling, my facial expressions because I
- 37:47Speaker 1: don't have a poker face and the sugar honey iced
- 37:50Speaker 1: tea that I will be talking on the show, so
- 37:52Speaker 1: hopefully they'll all be my friends walking one huney iced
- 38:00Speaker 1: teeth holway. So let me get this straight. The house.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Are the houses different or it's the same house. I
- 38:10Speaker 1: don't understand the concept at one point nine million dollars there, Yes,
- 38:14Speaker 1: they're each worth one point nine million. We're walking. We
- 38:17Speaker 1: all have the exact same floor plan, but each team
- 38:20Speaker 1: is allowed to come in and completely reimagine the house.
- 38:22Speaker 1: We can take down wall, we can add bedrooms, add bathrooms,
- 38:26Speaker 1: remove bedrooms, remove bathrooms whatever. Each team is going to
- 38:31Speaker 1: think that we'll get them to the highest value. When

- 44:20Speaker 1: All right, guys, Coming up next, it's the prank phone
- 44:22Speaker 1: call from the nephew. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 44:27Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:31Speaker 1: right about four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today,
- 44:34Speaker 1: and the subject is my husband beat up her boyfriend.
- 44:39Speaker 1: We'll get into that find out what that's all about
- 44:41Speaker 1: in just a few because right now it is time.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Yeah for the nephew. We're back to whooping them behind.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I told you we got to get back to you
- 44:51Speaker 1: right now. It's time for the nephew and the prank
- 44:53Speaker 1: phone call for today. What you got now? This is
- 44:56Speaker 1: all hair I want you all to listen because this
- 44:58Speaker 1: right here, the title that this see is no hair weaves.
- 45:02Speaker 1: No hair weaves. All right, you're talking to him. Well,
- 45:08Speaker 1: I'm talking to them later on the phone, but really
- 45:09Speaker 1: I'm talking to everybody. No, we're not people. Got a
- 45:14Speaker 1: whole lot of news, right, but you have no hair
- 45:18Speaker 1: all as far as this job is concerned, you cannot
- 45:24Speaker 1: wear hair weaves anymore. Okay, that's what we're doing. So
- 45:27Speaker 1: we're making a phone call. We're letting the we're letting
- 45:30Speaker 1: the particular employee. You know, we are done with hair weaves.
- 45:33Speaker 1: We won't natural how when you're coming here, y'all hear me? Okay,
- 45:37Speaker 1: I mean that now. I don't want to start taking
- 45:39Speaker 1: hal off at the door, because I do it. I will,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'll do it. You ain't gonna believe what's gonna happen
- 45:44Speaker 1: at that door, though, it's gonna be busy at the door,
- 45:50Speaker 1: all right, cat do let's go man here it is
- 45:52Speaker 1: no hair weaves. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to please aim
- 46:00Speaker 1: is Byron Byron from the job. How are you? I'm okay?
- 46:03Speaker 1: How are you buying. I'm good, listen. I hate to
- 46:05Speaker 1: call you after hours at your home, but there has
- 46:08Speaker 1: been some new issues that will be going into effect.
- 46:12Speaker 1: That was just tomorrow morning, and we're calling everyone letting
- 46:15Speaker 1: them know the new changes that have been issued that
- 46:19Speaker 1: will take effect first thing tomorrow morning. So we're giving
- 46:21Speaker 1: everyone a call. So don't be alarmed. It's just giving
- 46:24Speaker 1: you a call letting you know what the higher ups
- 46:27Speaker 1: have changed. Okay, okay, there's no problem, Okay, as up tomorrow,
- 46:32Speaker 1: what's gonna happen is when you guys come in, you'll
- 46:34Speaker 1: be issued a new key card, and that particular card
- 46:37Speaker 1: will actually registers when you come in and go out. Okay, okay,
- 46:41Speaker 1: all right. Second one is there will no longer be
- 46:44Speaker 1: any personal Internet at the job any longer. You won't
- 46:48Speaker 1: be able. They're actually putting a block on all computers.
- 46:51Speaker 1: All the computers will no longer be able to go
- 46:53Speaker 1: to a lot of these sites that you guys go
- 46:56Speaker 1: to that you've been that's been available here in the past. Okay, okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: all right. The last one is reesa do you um,
- 47:05Speaker 1: do you wear a hair weave? What do you wear
- 47:08Speaker 1: a hair weave or a wig. Yes, okay, Well here's
- 47:12Speaker 1: one thing, and hopefully you can get this change about tomorrow.
- 47:15Speaker 1: There's no weaves or hair or wigs gonna be allowed
- 47:20Speaker 1: at the job site from this point on. So as
- 47:22Speaker 1: of tomorrow morning, everyone must be wearing their natural hair.
- 47:26Speaker 1: You're joking. Uh No, these are the issues that are
- 47:29Speaker 1: gonna be that are in stated, and these are going
- 47:32Speaker 1: to take effect as of tomorrow morning, seven o'clock. What
- 47:35Speaker 1: does hair weave to have to do with any of
- 47:37Speaker 1: these changes? The first two I can understand punching in
- 47:40Speaker 1: and being on the internet. Yes, that's something that that corporate.
- 47:43Speaker 1: But hair weave and you're getting us are they're looking
- 47:50Speaker 1: down upon it. Wigs and hair weaves they have to go.
- 47:54Speaker 1: So I'm assuming that if you, like you said, you
- 47:57Speaker 1: do have one said, it doesn't come out of the
- 48:01Speaker 1: taking it down now and prepare your hair to be
- 48:04Speaker 1: natural as you come in to work tomorrow. I'm not
- 48:06Speaker 1: taking my hair down. I've been here seven years and
- 48:08Speaker 1: I've dealt with all the changes that y'all have made,
- 48:11Speaker 1: But there's no way that I'm taking my hair weave down.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry. What's your name, Byron? Yes, my name is Byron.
- 48:18Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, let's get back to your weave. This
- 48:21Speaker 1: has you're gonna have to do something. Is there's someone
- 48:24Speaker 1: that you can call tonight to help you get your
- 48:26Speaker 1: hair down and so you can look presentable with your
- 48:28Speaker 1: natural hair tomorrow. No, my weave cast over two three
- 48:32Speaker 1: hundred dollars and I'm not about to take that down.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I mean, it takes a long time to take that down. Okay,
- 48:39Speaker 1: I mean, is this something Maybe you can take it
- 48:42Speaker 1: down and just wear it on the weekends because as
- 48:44Speaker 1: of now, you're not gonna be allowed to actually wear
- 48:46Speaker 1: it on the property. And how will you know if
- 48:49Speaker 1: someone has a weave or not? Are you gonna do
- 48:51Speaker 1: head checks or something? Okay, ma'am, I'm not quite sure
- 48:55Speaker 1: what they're gonna do to check it. But by you
- 48:58Speaker 1: telling me that you have a weave, then I have
- 49:02Speaker 1: to write it down that you have confirmed that you do,
- 49:05Speaker 1: and we got to make sure that tomorrow morning you're
- 49:07Speaker 1: not wearing one. But you don't know what my natural
- 49:09Speaker 1: hair looks like from my weaves. You heard how much
- 49:12Speaker 1: I pay for it. So it's a good weave, ma'am.
- 49:15Speaker 1: It's not about how good you know, the quality of
- 49:19Speaker 1: your weave or anything. They don't want it. They want
- 49:21Speaker 1: natural hair. I don't know what that means, but they're
- 49:24Speaker 1: going natural. They're going green, they're going natural. I don't
- 49:26Speaker 1: know what it is. They're going natural, and so will you.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Tomorrow morning. You need to come in with your hair
- 49:32Speaker 1: completely down. Okay, I'm gonna do it. I'm not taking
- 49:35Speaker 1: my weave down. Okay that y'all gonna write me up
- 49:38Speaker 1: or something. Okay, ma'am. Do you not want your job? Yeah?
- 49:41Speaker 1: I want my job, but this don't make no sense.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You're talking about personal appearance. I can understand y'all have
- 49:47Speaker 1: a dress coach and enforcing a dress code, that's one thing.
- 49:51Speaker 1: But telling somebody to change that he you emost your
- 49:54Speaker 1: morn man, you're crazy, ma'am. I'm not gonna. I have
- 49:57Speaker 1: other people that I have to call. Bottom line is
- 50:00Speaker 1: get your hat out and get your butt into work tomorrow,
- 50:03Speaker 1: and let's not go back and forth anymore. Okay, we'll listen.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Buy Land. You're a low mind. If you're thinking I'm
- 50:09Speaker 1: taking my weave, I'm not taking out at all. Esa
- 50:14Speaker 1: is coming up in there with her hair and I'm
- 50:16Speaker 1: gonna sit down at my desk and do my job.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Y'all gonna have to drag me out that handsome weaves.
- 50:22Speaker 1: You'na lost your mind, you and your powers that be
- 50:24Speaker 1: or whoever they may be. You tell them that I
- 50:27Speaker 1: said that way a minute way? Amenute? Listen? Are you
- 50:30Speaker 1: telling me that you're coming in regardless with your hair on? Right?
- 50:34Speaker 1: That's what I just said? Ok? Are you? Then? Then
- 50:38Speaker 1: we need to Why don't you go ahead and bring
- 50:40Speaker 1: some boxes in because you may I'm not you bring
- 50:44Speaker 1: this man. I don't want to have to pack. You
- 50:46Speaker 1: get your stuff and box it up, and you're losing
- 50:49Speaker 1: your job because you can't take it. You know what?
- 50:51Speaker 1: You can do that because I'm an call the news
- 50:53Speaker 1: station and tell them you're dragging me out of go
- 50:55Speaker 1: behind some weeds? Who wrong? You're wrong? You're wrong? You
- 51:01Speaker 1: are you gonna? You need to watch your language, young lady?
- 51:03Speaker 1: Why I need to watch my language? I'm at home.
- 51:05Speaker 1: You call me on my own home phone and my time.
- 51:09Speaker 1: I'm at my house. I'm not on your flock. I
- 51:11Speaker 1: say what I want to say on my phone. Okay?
- 51:14Speaker 1: Can I say what I want on my phone? And
- 51:15Speaker 1: then I'll let you go and you can come into
- 51:18Speaker 1: to work anywhere you want to tomorrow? What is it?
- 51:20Speaker 1: Bible on? What else you got to say? I want
- 51:22Speaker 1: to tell you. I want to tell you that your girlfriend,
- 51:25Speaker 1: Jennifer at your job got me to plank phone call you.
- 51:29Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 51:34Speaker 1: He's just say I know you, hey, reason this is
- 51:41Speaker 1: this is nephew Tommy, baby from the Steve Harby More

- 51:46Speaker 1: Phone called my blood pressure up. I'm gonna kill tomorrow
- 51:50Speaker 1: and I'm gonna pull a whole weeve out. You want
- 51:52Speaker 1: to come down there and watch me drag out of
- 51:54Speaker 1: the job. I'm made blood pressure. You can't be doing
- 51:59Speaker 1: that to me behind my weave. I pay too much money.
- 52:01Speaker 1: I definitely my kids. Oh I ain't nothing like a
- 52:05Speaker 1: black woman and her hell oh man, Okay, baby, I
- 52:11Speaker 1: got one more thing to ask you, girl, What is

- 52:22Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. God, what do you think? Shirley?
- 52:29Speaker 1: Don't ask me? Carl shut up by you right now.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I'm talking to to natural how people right now, now
- 52:36Speaker 1: what y'all think, But wear some weave. I will come

- 54:10Speaker 1: it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you nephew.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Subject my husband beat up her boyfriend. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I've been married for four years and my husband has
- 54:21Speaker 1: a bunch of friends and a female best friend. We're
- 54:24Speaker 1: both in our fifties and I don't put my friends
- 54:27Speaker 1: before him because I am beyond the age of hanging
- 54:29Speaker 1: with my friends all the time. But he is always
- 54:33Speaker 1: down to hang out with his friends or gossip on
- 54:35Speaker 1: the phone with his female bestie. I've caught him on
- 54:38Speaker 1: the phone with her at one in the morning before
- 54:40Speaker 1: and I had to give him quote the look to
- 54:43Speaker 1: get off the phone. The lady is married and she's
- 54:46Speaker 1: got a boyfriend on the side. She talks to my
- 54:49Speaker 1: husband about her problems with her men, and I warned
- 54:52Speaker 1: him to stay out of her business and stop giving
- 54:54Speaker 1: her advice. Well, he didn't take any of my advice,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and now he has been charged with the salting her boyfriend. Apparently,
- 55:02Speaker 1: my husband advised her to leave her boyfriend alone and
- 55:06Speaker 1: focus on saving her marriage. She told her boyfriend exactly
- 55:09Speaker 1: what my husband said, and then a few days later,
- 55:12Speaker 1: while my husband was pumping gas, her boyfriend walked up
- 55:16Speaker 1: on him. They exchanged words and my boyfriend my husband
- 55:20Speaker 1: ended up clipping the guy and he fell on the
- 55:22Speaker 1: curb and got scratched up. He's short in comparison to
- 55:26Speaker 1: my six three husband, so my husband tried not to
- 55:30Speaker 1: hurt him. I didn't even flinch when my husband had
- 55:33Speaker 1: to give a statement to the officers, because he got
- 55:35Speaker 1: exactly what he deserves. I looked like a fool to
- 55:39Speaker 1: my family, since they found out that my husband got
- 55:41Speaker 1: into a fight over another woman. My husband argued that
- 55:45Speaker 1: he was only trying to be a good friend. I
- 55:47Speaker 1: told him that either she goes or I am going,
- 55:50Speaker 1: and there's no other way. He said he shouldn't be
- 55:53Speaker 1: punished for being a good person. Was I wrong for
- 55:56Speaker 1: giving him an ultimatum? Well, you know what, there's so
- 55:59Speaker 1: much in this letter. And he's definitely not being punished
- 56:02Speaker 1: for being a good person. He's being punished for being
- 56:05Speaker 1: in other people's business and not doing what you clearly
- 56:09Speaker 1: and plainly asked him to do, so plain and simple.
- 56:13Speaker 1: You're right. Your husband is dead wrong. And when will
- 56:16Speaker 1: these married people get it that it is not a
- 56:19Speaker 1: good look to spend so much time and effort with
- 56:22Speaker 1: the opposite sex. I mean, this is too much. He's
- 56:25Speaker 1: not considering your feelings and your marriage at all. He
- 56:28Speaker 1: has allowed her, the friend, to come between you. That's
- 56:31Speaker 1: what he's done, and that's wrong. He created a problem
- 56:34Speaker 1: where there was no problem in your marriage, and he
- 56:37Speaker 1: stupidly thinks that he was just being a good person.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Really though, good people don't do stuff like this. He's
- 56:44Speaker 1: all up in her business, talking to her at one
- 56:46Speaker 1: in the morning, getting into fights where the police have
- 56:49Speaker 1: to get involved. Nothing is worth all this mess and confusion. Dude,
- 56:54Speaker 1: you're gonna lose your wife over this other woman. You
- 56:56Speaker 1: can't see that he should be concentrating on your needs. Unfortunately,
- 57:01Speaker 1: he did get what he deserved and deserved in this instance,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and maybe it will make him slow down and listen
- 57:07Speaker 1: to and appreciate what you've been trying to tell him
- 57:10Speaker 1: all along. As far as the ultimate ultimatum goes, I say,
- 57:14Speaker 1: don't say stuff like that unless you truly mean it,
- 57:16Speaker 1: and even if you did meet it, you can always
- 57:18Speaker 1: take stuff back. But you know, you might have to
- 57:22Speaker 1: own this one, because if he's still arguing about him
- 57:24Speaker 1: just trying to be a good person and still being
- 57:27Speaker 1: friends with her and still in her business, he hasn't
- 57:29Speaker 1: really learned his lesson, and that's going to continue to
- 57:32Speaker 1: be a problem in your marriage. And you're gonna, you know,
- 57:35Speaker 1: have to stick to your ultimatum. Steve Man, I've not
- 57:42Speaker 1: had a letter come cross here in a while with
- 57:46Speaker 1: so many people in it that are wrong. Can I
- 57:53Speaker 1: tell you that everybody mentioned in this letter is stupid? Now,
- 58:01Speaker 1: this is a letter full of stupid people. Everybody in
- 58:05Speaker 1: this letter is stupid. I don't even understand how we
- 58:08Speaker 1: got into this. This don't make no sense. This woman
- 58:13Speaker 1: the subject as my husband beat up her boyfriend. You've
- 58:17Speaker 1: been married for four years. Your husband got a bunch
- 58:19Speaker 1: of friends and a female best friend. I told you
- 58:23Speaker 1: I told y'all about this. I can't tell you how
- 58:26Speaker 1: many times, But now y'all on this we're both in
- 58:32Speaker 1: our fifties. I don't put my friends before him because
- 58:34Speaker 1: I'm beyond age of hanging with my friends all the time.
- 58:37Speaker 1: But he's always down to hang out with his friends
- 58:41Speaker 1: or gossip on the phone with his female bestie. Right there,
- 58:45Speaker 1: that's crazy. I'm on the phone in my fifties gossiping
- 58:53Speaker 1: with a woman who is my best friend. But I'm mad.
- 59:00Speaker 1: You need in the world so but now I hadn't
- 59:05Speaker 1: told y'all about these, right, and you're fifty on the
- 59:07Speaker 1: phone gossiping with your female girlfriend who is your bestie.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Here is where it gets even dumber. I caught him
- 59:16Speaker 1: on the phone with her at one o'clock in the
- 59:20Speaker 1: morning before and I had to give him a look
- 59:23Speaker 1: to get off the phone. I'm not talking to a
- 59:26Speaker 1: woman at one o'clock in the morning, except but went
- 59:31Speaker 1: one subject. That's it ain't nothing else to talk about it,
- 59:42Speaker 1: he share. Bill Bellamy had rolled the whole special about
- 59:45Speaker 1: it at one am. Y'all in booty Calls here too,
- 59:52Speaker 1: when when you were talking with the man, when you
- 59:54Speaker 1: was out that day and you were talking to a
- 59:55Speaker 1: man one o'clock in the worlds and sun, y'all wouldn't
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: the exchange and wait wait, I come yeah, hold that
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: thought coming up. We'll have part two of Steve's response
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Subject is my husband beat up her boyfriend? All right,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: we'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: The subject is my husband beat up her boyfriend? Just
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: don't make no sisters. Woman been married for four years.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Her husband got a lot of friends and one of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: them is a best friend, is a woman. Uh, and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: they always hanging out, and she's tired of me. And
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: she caught her husband on the phone at one am
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: in the morning, and then she gave him the look
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: to get off the phone. So she allows him to
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: have this best friend who is a woman and talk
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: on the phone. So he's so comfortable he up in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: one o'clock in the morning with his girlfriend talking on
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: the phone, because that's what she is. She's a girl
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: and she's a friend. And when at this age that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: puts you in the girlfriend in category. Now the lady
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: that he's talking to his way get crazy. She married
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: and got a boyfriend. So now that's she's sending a
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: signal to you that she has no problem passing it around. None.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: She got a husband and a boyfriend, and your husband
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: know it. Now she talks to your husband about her
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: problems with her men, and you've warned him to stay
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: out of her business and stop giving her advice. He
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: didn't take the advice, and now he's been charged with
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: assaulting her boyfriend. How did this happen? Well, I'll tell
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you what your husband told her. Your husband advised her
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: to leave the boyfriend alone focus on saving her marriage.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: She told her boyfriend exactly what my husband said, what
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you ain't supposed to do, and a few days later,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: your husband was pumping gas her boyfrid walked up on him.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Now this is this one. Let us do. Come on.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: What made the boyfriend thinks he could walk up on
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: this man and say, hey, man, I don't appreciate you
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: telling my married girlfriend to stop messing with me and
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: focus on my marriage. How dare you? They exchange words
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: and your husband ended up clipping a guy and he
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: fell on the curb and got stratched up. Now his
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: real problem right here, this is why Tommy wants to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: make it just to push. He is shot in comparison
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: to my sixty three husband. So my husband tried. Tommy
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: tried to defend a little and did you hear right there?
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: He pushed it knock, he slapped the sugar, he tipped.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Tommy jumped in. He and tried to defend a little.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Shout ass man. But he shouldn't have ran his little
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: lass up on his big ass man. Now he's sixty three.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: He clipped knocked his ass down six three. So my
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: husband tried not to hurt it. Now he got charges
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: on it. I didn't flinch when my husband had to
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: give a statement to the officer because he got exactly
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: what he deserved. So obviously you were there. She was
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: in the car while her husband was pumping gas. That's
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: how she knows the details. So now you watched him
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and you didn't flinch because he got exactly what he's done.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Then I didn't flinch when my husband had to give
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: a statement to the officer because he got exactly what
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: he deserves. That means she was there and saw the incident.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Because the police came there and gave a statement. I
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: looked like a food to my family since they found
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: out that my husband got into a fight over another
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: a woman, and how they find that out because you
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: told him. My husband argued that he was only trying
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: to be a good friend. I told him that either
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: she goes or I'm going in. There's no other way.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: He said he shouldn't be punished for being a good person.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Was I wrong for giving him ultimate Absolutely not, absolutely not.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You're not wrong for giving him an ultimatim But you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: shouldn't allow this female friendship into your marriage because it's
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: in your marriage. If your husband is sitting up on
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: the phone with another woman at one o'clock in the morning,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: somebody's in your marriage. You allowed this, You said it
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: was okay. You should have been put your foot down.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I'd then told y'all this a hundred times about these
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: female friends. Now she tricked to begin with, because she
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: married and got a boyfriend. Your husband counseling this dysfunction
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: or health true, and he friends and won't hug and
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: she won't him. What they talking at one o'clock in
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: the mind they want each other? Oh hell, at one
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning, are you crazy? And if she'll
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: see a husband and a man on the side, why
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: wouldn't she see nobody else? And yeah, you should give
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: him the ultimatum. And I can't believe how stupid the
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: husband is that he would jeopardize all he has right
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: for her and she already got a boyfriend and a husband.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: How can you risk what you have for someone that
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: don't give a damn about what they have? So it
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. Everybody in the letter is stupid.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: The husband is dumb as a doughnut. Now I'm gonna
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: get me a police racket. I'm gonna get some assault
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: charges over this little shan as dude that want to
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: sleep with my friend. I don't give a damn who
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: she's sleep with. I'm not gonna get no criminal record.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Being got to get a lawyer in all this. I'm
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: facing assault charges because the boyfriend. You the boyfriend tries
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: to jump on you. How you the boyfriend, you're gonna
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: jump on this other man for telling? And this a
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: letter full of stupid You suld't if you're trying to
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: help somebody that's got a husband and a boyfriend. And
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: now I got you on the side, causing probably in
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: your marriage, and now you got charged up. All right?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Barbi
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Ben little Man will run upon nobody else and face man,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: facebook Um said, face man, and check out the Strawberry
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Letter podcast Hunting Man. We're coming up in forty six
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: minutes after the hour Man, we'll have Sports Talk with Junior.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: is time now for Junior and Sports Talk. Junior. What
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you got? Well, let's give a shout out to Vanessa Bryant,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant's widow. She was awarded twenty nine million for
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: the photos from the crash. And I'm gonna tell you something.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: This is on top of the fifteen minutes she already
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: got in federal court. She got twenty nine million from
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: La County. That is man. I mean, just you know
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: when they took those photos and they showed them, she
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: proved it the firefighter. The firefighter was showing the pictures
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: that took some people at a ball. Yeah. Yeah, and
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: many twenty nine millions, so that justice was truly served. Also,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: don't forget the NFL combine starts today. Defensive linement, the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: linebackers hood day today, big dog back. Let's go let's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: get advanced. Get this next roof of NFL players in
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: d L defensive linebackers to day tomorrow will be dB
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Saturday quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight end. And then on
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Sunday we're gonna have the running backs and the old line.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you right now, my favorite part
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: of the comeback. It watched that old line running that
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: forty the big boys be getting it, boy, the big
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: boy beginning it. Junior, do you think you could beat
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: any one of them running? Yeah? The offensive lineman, Yeah,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I can beat them. I can. You don't think I
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: can beat the man? Wait? Wait, man, No, you ain't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: jump in here. I jumped right on in Yeah, hold on, Junior,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: ain't we talking about speed? Yeah? We're talking about here
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: in here talking ham string. And I haven't no idea
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: why he brought it up. I don't I had at
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: one time. And when you're back toping, you're bad. You
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: try to make a come back, told him, But Junior, segment,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you just saying him, say that, I know we're not
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: talking about running and we can take him do it again.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: We could do it again. If you just feel it,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: you got it. Come on, he ain't got it. No
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: boys work. Wait a minute, remember remember five got to be?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Who told you that? That? What you think you think? Oh?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I'm sexy? No, I ain't gonna stop, Rachel. Here we
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: go again, us to go listen. Coming up at the
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: top of the hour, A dad on social media needs
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: some advice, Steve, should our daughter's boyfriend be allowed to
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: stay the night? Oh we'll get into that right after this.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right, Steve, you ready for this one?
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: This one's from Demetrius on Steve Harvey FM. Demetrius says,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I need a group judgment here. Over the weekend we
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: were hit with some serious storms that lasted through the night.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: My daughter had her boyfriend over, but it seemed pretty
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: clear that it wasn't safe to draw five. So I
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: suggested that the guys spend the night on the basement couch,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of course, with our daughter sleeping in her room. My
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: wife wasn't having any of it and shut that all
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: the way down, and he was sent home. It took
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: him forty five minutes longer than usual than normal to arrive,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: but he did so safely. The discussion and argument has
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: continued days later. So I ask you was I completely
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: wrong or was it a decent thing to suggest? Well,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: it's your house and for safety reasons, it made sense,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Big Stone, It made sense. You established the rules. You
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: protecting another parents child. You know you're going, man, if
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: this was my child, what I want the parents? So
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I think you did the right thing. Normally the wife
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: wouldn't having it because your wife got some information you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: don't have, sir, and she acted on that. Okay, I'm
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: just saying, the wife has some information you don't have,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: and she didn't put her foot down, and you can't
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: say nothing because that's the queen of the house. No,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: if me and Margie had this discussion and one of
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: us say no and the other ones say yes, the
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: person that don't want them in there gonna win because
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: if I say they could stay and Margie say they
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: can't stay, they can't stay. So what if something had
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: happened to the young man on the way exactly? Yeah,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I understand what happens the mother the guilt, Yeah, you know,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: and that would have been crazy, and then your relationship
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: with your daughter forever change. Yes, Yes, because mama, why
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: did you do that? All he had to do was
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: stay here? I think doing the safe thing would have
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: been better. M You know he set the rule stay
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: in the basement on the couch. That's that's the kind
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: that I would have let him say. In my house.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: He'd have slept with me. We right there together. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: me and him right there together, and neither one of
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: us and neither one of us wearing bottoms the moment
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you started snoring right here, boy, he would have left.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: You can't leave his room. I got joe bottoms under
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: my pillar. Oh goodness, I think we have time for
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: one more. Um mona on Facebook? Right? So, I have
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: a really tight group of friends who I get together
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: with pretty regularly. All of us are in her mid thirties, married,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: and we sometimes bring our spouses along. I know that
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: two of my friends were having affairs from men with
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: men from work, which I don't have proof of, but
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I keep my opinion to myself. Now I've learned that
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: my other friend is also cheating on her husband, making
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: me the only person in our friend group who isn't
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: cheating on their spouse. These are essentially my only friends
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: that I spend any time with, and now I'm rethinking
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: being friends with them. This option comes with a bunch
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: of complications, like how do I explain it to my husband?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I don't know how I can continue being friends with
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: them and also seeing them with their spouses, who I
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: feel badly for. What should I do? Should I distance
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: myself from my only friends? Wow? Well you can do that.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: You can distish yourself if you're uncomfortable with it, it's
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: not your business. But when you're in a group and
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: you feel bad for the husband, you can distis yourself
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: from them. But you know you're being awfully judgmental now
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: because you don't know what their husband's just doing. You
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: don't know if they got some arrangement. You don't know
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: what's happening, you know. But birds of a feather flock together.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: That's why. Yeah. Yeah, she doesn't want anybody thinking she's
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: cheating on her husband because they are. Yeah, that's all right. Well,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: don't nobody know less you tell it? Oh, all right,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll tell
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: you what happened in Chicago in the mayoral race. Right
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: after this, you're listening well trending news from our Chicago
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: homestation V one oh three. Chicago Mayor Lorie Lightfoot lost
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: the reelection. Her opponents, Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson, will
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: meet in a runoff to be the next mayor of
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Chicago after voters on Tuesday denied incumbent Lorie Lightfoot a
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: second term, including a rebuke to a leader who made
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: history as head of a nation's third largest city. Vallis,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: a former school CEO backed by the Police union, and Johnson,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: a Cook County commissioner in doors by the Chicago Teachers Union,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: advanced to the April fourth runoff after none of the
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: nine candidates were able to secure over fifty percent of
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: the vote to win outright. Lightfoot, of course, as the
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: first black woman and the first openly gay person to
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: lead the city, won her first term in twenty nineteen
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: after promising to end decades of corruption and back room
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: dealing at city Hall. But opponents blamed Lightfoot for an
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: increasing crime that occurred in cities across the US during
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: the pandemic and criticized her as being a divisive, overly
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: contentious leader. So there you go, that one Lightfoot that
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: was That was Junior, that may Lightfoot, Lloyd Lightwood. Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: yet the pictures, Junior, you ain't never seen him in

- 1:22:00Speaker 1: is your whole lot of st homeowner, you know, star, comedian,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: all this here, man, radio holes, I got a whole
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: lot st of you years is a track star. That's
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: that's clearly what that is. I know that. Now these
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: are my clothing remarks to day. Oh really yeah, I
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: want to stay in closing the day I got that
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: earlier call from that guy that called in that was
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: encouraging me. I want to thank the brother whoever he
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: was about to fight. It was done on February twenty eight.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I want to thank you man. But also it led
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: me to say this to everybody. What I tried to
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: do in my own way. I tried to be inspirational.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I tried to be encouraging. I try to be motivating,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: and above all else, I try to be an example
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: of what it's like to be so far from your
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: goals and dreams, and through God's faith and his grace,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you can make it anyway. I want to be that person,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and I try to be that person that tells his
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: authentic story without the sugarcoating, without the old ra ra
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: sis boom bob nah Man, with the truth. And the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: truth of the matter is, you can be so far
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: from where you're trying to get that it looks unattainable.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: You can be so down that it looked like you
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna ever get up. You can be so heavily
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: weighted down by the load that you feel like you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: just can't lift it no more. And you can be
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: so frightened with what you can or can't see in
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: the future that you want to turn around. I am
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: here to tell you that there is a heavenly father
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: that you can form a relationship with, and all your
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: dreams can come truth. Because let me tell you something,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: if you are dreaming it, it's possible. You know why,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: because it is impossible to have an impossible thought that
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: is impossible. You can't think something that's impossible nobody ever had.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: You just can't have that thought because if you had
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: that thought where it comes from. Everything I didn't see
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: coming then messed around and came. I'm telling you right now,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: I didn't see cell phones coming. They came. I didn't
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: see color TVs coming it came. I didn't see going
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: to the moon it came. I didn't see a travel
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: for me it came. I didn't see travel in the world,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: but it came. I didn't see I didn't see us
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: having a first black president, but it came. I just
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: didn't see a whole lot of stuff. I didn't see
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: cars that could drive by themselves, but they are here now.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I didn't imagine FaceTime, that you could talk to somebody
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: and see the face while you talking to on your
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: cell phone. I ain't even think cell phone is possible,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: but it came. It came because somebody saw it, somebody
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: thought it, somebody imagined it. Everything that you imagine has
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: possibilities attached to it. Because God places in your imagination
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: exactly what's possible for you. It's up to you to
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: adhere to it, believe in it, ask him for it,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: pray about it, work for it, write it down, and
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: accomplish it. If you don't have what you want to
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: have in life is because you have not, because you
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: asked not and you have not written it down. And
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: faith without works is dead. So if you ask for
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: it and you write it down and you put it
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: in the hard work. God gonna give it to you.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: That's a promise of head. That ain't no theory I
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: come up with. That's God's promise. That's what I try
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to be on the radio. That dude life there. That
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: somebody get a piece of information for me and it
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: mattered to them. Those are my closing remarks. She said,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Oh you got so from We'll see the mom. We'll
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: try to all right, talk to God email. I'm here
