- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta gotta turning you, you gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn you haven't got to turn them out.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Then turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your thad uh huh. I show well a good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, Man
- 2:13Speaker 1: on Man on man. Wow. I think about all the
- 2:18Speaker 1: things God has done for me is overwhelming at times.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And I want everybody to have that feeling and to
- 2:24Speaker 1: sharing that feeling of completion and satisfaction. And the only
- 2:29Speaker 1: reason I got this, and it's the thousandth time I've
- 2:32Speaker 1: said it, is because I formed a relationship with my creator. Period.
- 2:37Speaker 1: That's it. That's it, that's it. I can't tell you
- 2:40Speaker 1: as anything else else. You know, I've always had a
- 2:42Speaker 1: strong work ethic. My father put that in me. My
- 2:46Speaker 1: father's conversations with me growing up, was always constantly about
- 2:51Speaker 1: work hard, don't be lazy, be a man, do what
- 2:53Speaker 1: you say you're gonna do. YadA YadA, YadA, YadA YadA. Man.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I was so tired of my father at times. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: was going, Man, what is with this dude? Right here? Man,
- 3:02Speaker 1: every time we have a conversation, it's got to be
- 3:04Speaker 1: about work. It's got to be about, you know, man,
- 3:08Speaker 1: doing your best, trying hard, you know, working, being honest,
- 3:12Speaker 1: do what you say you're gonna do. But that was
- 3:15Speaker 1: his mission. I can't tell you how much I appreciate
- 3:18Speaker 1: that now. I can't even I can't even put it
- 3:22Speaker 1: into words when I think about my old man and
- 3:25Speaker 1: what he was to me, and I just saw, Man,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm so grateful for that balance I had in my life.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And then my father was a fighter. He fought on
- 3:36Speaker 1: the weekends. You know. My father used to come home
- 3:41Speaker 1: with his with his clothes toe off of him. He
- 3:44Speaker 1: put a fresh shirt on and he go back. My
- 3:46Speaker 1: mom used to talk about my father fighting all the times. Nick,
- 3:49Speaker 1: why you're always fighting? You know a little bit of
- 3:53Speaker 1: that rubbed off on me too, you know that that
- 3:55Speaker 1: kind of got into me, and I didn't understand that either,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but then on the same term, and my mother was
- 4:00Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher for forty years, so her conversation
- 4:04Speaker 1: was never about fighting or anything. It was all about
- 4:06Speaker 1: love and understanding and doing another that you would add
- 4:09Speaker 1: them do unto you. My mom was a Sunday school teacher,
- 4:12Speaker 1: so I learned about faith. I had to go to
- 4:14Speaker 1: Sunday school, prayer meeting, Bible study, young people meeting, CHOI rehearsal.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know, I was a churchman so much. I was
- 4:21Speaker 1: actually looking that's got to be an alternative to this,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know, I want you know, and I was a
- 4:27Speaker 1: little kid even I was thinking at one point, maybe
- 4:30Speaker 1: all to looking to Hell, because it's got to be
- 4:32Speaker 1: something cooler than this going on every day. It got
- 4:36Speaker 1: that crazy for me. But the balance between those two
- 4:39Speaker 1: people created who I am today. And I want you
- 4:43Speaker 1: to understand that the things that you are in your
- 4:46Speaker 1: past have helped create who you are today. If you
- 4:50Speaker 1: view it the right way, everything that has happened to
- 4:54Speaker 1: you in your past has happened to you for a reason,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and it's usually for the if you view it that way.
- 5:04Speaker 1: But if you, on the other hand, or a type
- 5:07Speaker 1: of person who can't move forward because you are allowing
- 5:10Speaker 1: your past to stop you from having your future. Then you,
- 5:16Speaker 1: my friend, are doing a disservice to your life. You
- 5:21Speaker 1: are not honoring God's blessings. You are not taking advantage
- 5:26Speaker 1: of the gain, knowledge, wisdom, and experience of your life. Example,
- 5:33Speaker 1: if you are a woman and you are always talking
- 5:39Speaker 1: about a formal relationship, what he did to me. If
- 5:43Speaker 1: he had not did this to me, I wouldn't be
- 5:47Speaker 1: in this place today. I thought I had a man. Nah,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I ain't got no man. Ah la la la la la.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If you know, he came along and I was and
- 6:00Speaker 1: just swell, He just came in and he just lied
- 6:04Speaker 1: to me. He lied to me. Now that he did
- 6:07Speaker 1: this to me, then he cheated, then he left. All
- 6:10Speaker 1: of that that you're saying can very well be true.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Have you thought that maybe maybe somewhere in God's infinite wisdom,
- 6:24Speaker 1: that he knew that you had made a mistake in
- 6:29Speaker 1: picking him anyway? Maybe he knew you had made a
- 6:33Speaker 1: mistake in saying yes or I do to him anyway,
- 6:38Speaker 1: or come on, move in, And so what he did
- 6:42Speaker 1: was based on your decision now to say yes, I
- 6:48Speaker 1: do or come on, let's move in together. That was
- 6:50Speaker 1: your decision. You ain't go to him about this one.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You made this decision based on that decision, and all
- 6:58Speaker 1: the negative things that start that happening. He allowed you
- 7:02Speaker 1: to get away from it. Now how you got away
- 7:05Speaker 1: from it, it's always not the choice of ours. See,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you stuck on the fact that he left, that he
- 7:12Speaker 1: walked out. But let me share this with you. When
- 7:15Speaker 1: he was there, how good was he to you? How
- 7:18Speaker 1: good was he for you? See? You got to you
- 7:22Speaker 1: got to stare. You got to look at the blessing.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The blessing is. Now you are on your own. Now
- 7:29Speaker 1: you walk in your house, Ain't nobody in there with
- 7:32Speaker 1: a disruptive spirit. Now you go home. You could take
- 7:35Speaker 1: your clothes off and walk around like you want to.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Now you go home, you can sit down and look
- 7:41Speaker 1: at TV or catch your breath if you want to.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Your kids don't have to see y'all arguing all the time.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Have you looked at the blessing in it? But now
- 7:53Speaker 1: if you're gonna keep looking at the negative, then guess what.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Now you can't move forward because you keep allowing your
- 8:02Speaker 1: pass to keep you from moving forward. If God has
- 8:06Speaker 1: brought you through it, why don't you move on from it? Look,
- 8:12Speaker 1: you got through it. He gone, He ain't coming back.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He got somebody else, So you're gonna sit there and
- 8:18Speaker 1: just keep tripping costs. He gone and he got somebody else.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Ain't pick yourself up. Thank God for the blessing. It
- 8:26Speaker 1: didn't feel like a blessing. Why you was going through it,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and all the pain of him leaving and the divorce
- 8:32Speaker 1: and all that messed you up? Got it when you
- 8:34Speaker 1: get through it, all of that. You ain't the first
- 8:37Speaker 1: one being left. You ain't the first woman been divorced.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You ain't the first one been in a bad relationship.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Pick yourself up, Thank God for the blessing, and move
- 8:47Speaker 1: forward in your life, because maybe when you quit complaining,
- 8:52Speaker 1: maybe you'll find out that God has something in store
- 8:56Speaker 1: for you that he wants you to have, but he
- 8:59Speaker 1: can't give it to you if you ain't grateful. So
- 9:02Speaker 1: God gives you a blessing, but because you don't see
- 9:04Speaker 1: it as a blessing, you ain't grateful for it. Now,
- 9:07Speaker 1: guess what, You steady asking God to do something for you,
- 9:11Speaker 1: but you ain't thanking him for what He's done for you.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But you steady wanting him to do more. How does
- 9:17Speaker 1: that work? How does that work? Man? That he should
- 9:21Speaker 1: keep on giving you things when you ain't even working
- 9:24Speaker 1: with the stuff he didn't gave you. It's like your child.
- 9:28Speaker 1: If you keep buying your child a toy and your
- 9:31Speaker 1: child keep tearing his toys up, at one point you're
- 9:34Speaker 1: gonna say, hey, look, I'm not buying you nothing until
- 9:37Speaker 1: you learn how to take better care of the things
- 9:39Speaker 1: you bought. And that's only right that you teach your
- 9:41Speaker 1: child the value of a dollar, the value of respecting
- 9:45Speaker 1: my work ethic that I've done for you, tell me
- 9:49Speaker 1: why it's got to work different? Just because he God,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and just because you're dining here with your lips stuck
- 9:54Speaker 1: out about something. I just think that that's how it works.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It just makes common sense to me. So you steady,
- 10:03Speaker 1: oh lord, I ain't had a man since you ain't
- 10:05Speaker 1: ready for no man. You ain't ready for a man.
- 10:08Speaker 1: How are you gonna? How are you? Man? You? You
- 10:10Speaker 1: messed with somebody else? Man? And you and you over
- 10:12Speaker 1: here still harping on the man you had that was
- 10:15Speaker 1: doing you dirty at the house. Do what you what
- 10:17Speaker 1: you're gonna do with another man? And I don't know
- 10:20Speaker 1: and I'm just I'm just using that one example. It
- 10:22Speaker 1: could go for me and too, vice versa, and so
- 10:25Speaker 1: on and so far. I'm just using that as an example.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Now while I laid on that one so long. You
- 10:31Speaker 1: take that out with God. That's all just three. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: ain't pointing fingers that nobody in nothing because I've been
- 10:37Speaker 1: guilty on both sides of the coin. Who am I?
- 10:40Speaker 1: But I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 10:47Speaker 1: interfere with my future. I was who I was and
- 10:51Speaker 1: I am who I am, and I'm cool with both
- 10:55Speaker 1: of them. People you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Lady and gentlemen, boys and girl. You heard come on?
- 11:09Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Shows, The Steve Harvey
- 11:13Speaker 1: Morny Show, Shirley Strawberry Silent, I love man Colin for real, Colmnes, Steve.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Can you let me speak first? Hype man? Don't let
- 11:27Speaker 1: him get on your nerves because he you know, he'll
- 11:29Speaker 1: be on Steve's nervous in five seconds. I got I
- 11:34Speaker 1: got the coach. Ladies and gentlemen. Here he is the
- 11:38Speaker 1: hype man himself Junior me me, Hi, everybody doing, We're good?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Steve Howard, Steve, Yeah, everybody ye man? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah?
- 11:54Speaker 1: Why we the only one? So Junior is gonna be
- 11:57Speaker 1: hype man today? Junior, I need you to break that
- 11:59Speaker 1: down one syllable hypes, like for an example, give him
- 12:03Speaker 1: an example, Okay, Junior, just say so one morning? Everybody morning?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Gotch Also one word crazy? Try another one? Jude, Hey, SRT.
- 12:14Speaker 1: How are you feeling today? Feeling? How are you supposed
- 12:18Speaker 1: to ye? Feeling? Yeah, Steve, this is because everything in
- 12:25Speaker 1: life gets them. Yeah. What he can't do is repeat
- 12:28Speaker 1: every damn thing I can't repeating right there, Steve, you
- 12:40Speaker 1: want Junior to be the emoji hype man? Yeah, grit
- 12:46Speaker 1: your teeth one drop or switch halo. You know, Um,
- 12:54Speaker 1: this is interesting. Today would have been Marvin Gay's his birthday. Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I mean at first I was like, wow, he's eighty
- 13:04Speaker 1: years old. Then I thought about it. Diana Ross just
- 13:07Speaker 1: celebrated her seventy fifth but she looks so great and
- 13:10Speaker 1: you just don't think of them as, you know, being
- 13:13Speaker 1: that age. But he would have been eighty years old. Wow. Yeah,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you know I did dal show last night and he
- 13:23Speaker 1: made a very very pointed remark, and he was saying
- 13:27Speaker 1: to young people, said, it's really he really feels badly
- 13:31Speaker 1: for young people. I'm just paraphrasing it now. He didn't
- 13:34Speaker 1: say it exactly this way. He said, he feels really
- 13:36Speaker 1: badly for young people today because you all are killing
- 13:41Speaker 1: your tomorrow's today. See. By killing your today's, you kill
- 13:45Speaker 1: your tomorrows. So even in the death of this incredibly
- 13:50Speaker 1: gifted young brother, Nipsey Hustle, I mean, man, if he
- 13:55Speaker 1: had turned his life around and had become this in
- 13:58Speaker 1: his thirties, man, what was this dude fitting to be
- 14:02Speaker 1: in his fifties at six? Yeah? Ye, sad day in LA.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And the thing about it is Marvin gave that song.
- 14:10Speaker 1: That's why it is my all time favorite song What's
- 14:12Speaker 1: going On? Because they were playing it, you know, out
- 14:15Speaker 1: here in LA. Because it's still relevant to this very day.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And men, we got so much music that's still relevant.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I thank God for that time. Pierre, I'm glad I
- 14:24Speaker 1: live through it. Yeah, yeah, all right. Steve, coming up
- 14:28Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour, did you see your
- 14:31Speaker 1: friend doctor Phil's April fools prank about his mustache? And uh,
- 14:37Speaker 1: did anybody get pranked yesterday. We'll talk about that as
- 14:39Speaker 1: well on April fools Day when we come back. Right
- 14:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show there is some heavy
- 14:47Speaker 1: and sad news we have to discuss today. But first
- 14:51Speaker 1: we're gonna start the morning off on a little lighter
- 14:54Speaker 1: note with something funny. So, Steve, I gotta ask you
- 14:58Speaker 1: your friend, doctor Phil. We loved doctor Phil. Of course
- 15:01Speaker 1: he did an April Fool's Day prank. I see it well.
- 15:04Speaker 1: He showed off his apparently clean shaven face on Twitter.
- 15:08Speaker 1: He posted before and after pictures. He went all in
- 15:13Speaker 1: with the shaving cream, razors, a bib, but he didn't
- 15:16Speaker 1: post any videos of himself actually shaving off the mustache. Um.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Of course, yeah, yeah, yeah, of course it was a prank, Steve,
- 15:25Speaker 1: Doctor Phil still has his mustache. He does. He called
- 15:28Speaker 1: the prank April doctor Phills. So, which begs the question, Steve,
- 15:36Speaker 1: would you ever shave off your mustache? How would you
- 15:41Speaker 1: look like? A like a damn fool? You say that, no,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'm not I need this mustade. I really can't afford
- 15:49Speaker 1: to cut yourself too much. And your upper lip, there's
- 15:56Speaker 1: a lot of area, look like a rank, A rank,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you know, skating rink a whole flow. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah,
- 16:09Speaker 1: not a rink or rank y'all going down to the
- 16:15Speaker 1: skating rank. Have you ever liked shaving? You know, when
- 16:21Speaker 1: you and your college days as the last time? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I could send y'all some pictures of me. I would
- 16:31Speaker 1: love to see that as a young dude. You've never
- 16:34Speaker 1: posted any Nah, Well, since we're talking about it, you
- 16:38Speaker 1: gotta post one. Yeah. I look just like yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:45Speaker 1: You guys look alike right now, even with your mustache. Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I don't even know why I put these pictures. I'm
- 16:55Speaker 1: sure you'll find them. And Tom Brady. Tom Brady used
- 16:59Speaker 1: social media to stage of fake retirement announcement. Did you
- 17:03Speaker 1: see that? He's no, he's going to retire and he's
- 17:05Speaker 1: just gonna tweet. He's just gonna just tweet. Yeah, when
- 17:12Speaker 1: the Houston Texas would be glad who because we can't
- 17:18Speaker 1: get a win? Long? Was he playing? Oh yeah the AFC?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Yeah cool, don't play anybody. Get April fooled yesterday? No,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I am out of town. So you know, a little
- 17:33Speaker 1: miss Tricky ain't here. She usually gets you every year,
- 17:36Speaker 1: right man? It something that's you did, Carla heard yourself. Yes,
- 17:44Speaker 1: of course, you know it's my daughter. You know the
- 17:47Speaker 1: kids were into it always. Yes. Today, so I picked
- 17:51Speaker 1: Tasha from school and she got in the car. So mondays,
- 17:54Speaker 1: that's the day they get their grades back from the
- 17:55Speaker 1: week before. So she got in the car, slammed the door.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Mom that's what mommy, I got all f's this week.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Stop the car on the freeway, Carla, she got all
- 18:13Speaker 1: I stopped the car in the car pool like the
- 18:16Speaker 1: people behind me, It's like, why is she slamming all
- 18:18Speaker 1: her brakes. I'll turn around. I said what I said,
- 18:23Speaker 1: give me your folder right now. Okay, So she digging
- 18:26Speaker 1: in her I said, how did you get all f's, Mommy,
- 18:30Speaker 1: science man, give me the folder, Give me the folder,
- 18:32Speaker 1: all ads, all a's across. She laughed. A brofos said
- 18:36Speaker 1: that ain't funny. She was like, but today's ain't folds.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I couldn't said that. Man, that's the beating right there.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I don't care if I was playing. Wasn't it true?
- 18:48Speaker 1: That's the good thing? Yeah, coming in yesterday, that's funny. Yeah,
- 18:55Speaker 1: she got she got you good. Now many dat have
- 19:02Speaker 1: just said, well try again next next semester. Boy, No,
- 19:09Speaker 1: it was normal for me to get some man. Boy,
- 19:14Speaker 1: you're gonna make me beat you well, ain't nothing new
- 19:19Speaker 1: every day report card here cling no woman? Oh lord,
- 19:24Speaker 1: I hate a report card. Tommy's out today, but I
- 19:28Speaker 1: really wanted to hear it. The King of Pranks because
- 19:31Speaker 1: this is yesterday was his day. You know. I bet
- 19:35Speaker 1: you he did uh huh you know he did someone? Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: remember when he pranked your sting. Yeah, but you know
- 19:43Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna do. I think I'm gonna get
- 19:45Speaker 1: him back. Oh, I think you should you want us
- 19:49Speaker 1: to help you? Yeah, Oh, I got the perfect idea.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I got the perfect idea. Oh I'm gonna get Oh
- 19:58Speaker 1: you got something? Oh, I got one. I tell y'all
- 20:01Speaker 1: off the air because you know his boy be watching,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean
- 20:07Speaker 1: he got a Pardner that be listening that you know
- 20:10Speaker 1: that don't like me. Ain't never met me, but he
- 20:13Speaker 1: don't like me because he thinks I'm in competition with Tommy.
- 20:17Speaker 1: So he tells Tommy everything we say on the air
- 20:21Speaker 1: when when he on break Yeah, like today, like if
- 20:24Speaker 1: you say something crazy about Tommy, he go tell Tommy.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah not ain't not. I ain't tell his uncle. Though
- 20:37Speaker 1: I know that's family right there. No, no, no, no,
- 20:40Speaker 1: it ain't family. No, this is Tommy's friend. You know
- 20:43Speaker 1: what I'm saying. He's telling Tommy and you and Tommy
- 20:45Speaker 1: are family, right, But he go to Tommy, didn't he

- 22:20Speaker 1: This is Josh. Josh is over at the I'm want
- 22:23Speaker 1: to be officials at the church where you guys are
- 22:25Speaker 1: getting married tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, how you doing? Man? They
- 22:28Speaker 1: want to thank y'all for that too, Man, we'll appreciate it. Sure. Yeah, well,
- 22:32Speaker 1: we definitely hope to make you a member here soon
- 22:34Speaker 1: or later, since you guys are getting married. You know, hey, man,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you know I'm trying to get this worst schedule change up.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. They got me working on
- 22:41Speaker 1: Sundays now, man, So soon as I tweaked at the
- 22:43Speaker 1: mood that around a little bit, I'll be there. Okay, listen,
- 22:46Speaker 1: we have a bit of a situation that has come up.
- 22:48Speaker 1: We had some problems and miscommunication and it's definitely been
- 22:52Speaker 1: on the outside. They had your name Ryan down here
- 22:56Speaker 1: with your phone number as well as you're you're soon
- 22:59Speaker 1: to be wife, saying they had her name here, but
- 23:01Speaker 1: we didn't want to call her with this. We wanted
- 23:03Speaker 1: to just reach out and talk to you and see.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It just makes you aware of what was going on, okay,
- 23:08Speaker 1: or what's what's going on? Man, there's been a mix
- 23:10Speaker 1: up on on scheduling. I don't know if you know
- 23:13Speaker 1: such the Older make she passed away a week ago,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and you're not You're not a member of the church,
- 23:19Speaker 1: so you wouldn't know it. But she's one of the
- 23:20Speaker 1: one of the oldest members here at the church. Such
- 23:22Speaker 1: the Older may passed away, and what's going on? Is
- 23:27Speaker 1: you all's wedding is tomorrow at twelve o'clock, right, but
- 23:31Speaker 1: the actual funeral is at three o'clock here at the church. Okay, uh,
- 23:38Speaker 1: but shame begin, brother Wood, Josh, Josh, Okay, look here,
- 23:42Speaker 1: brother Josh. Um hey man, we we we already got
- 23:46Speaker 1: this thing in motion. Man, we didn't say now they
- 23:48Speaker 1: have a two hundred differentations. Man, I mean blessed old
- 23:52Speaker 1: man and and and I understand that, but but but
- 23:55Speaker 1: I mean, you know, she's there's no way we could
- 23:58Speaker 1: have moved it around. Now. The biggest problem the funeral
- 24:00Speaker 1: home is bringing the casket first thing in the morning.
- 24:04Speaker 1: So what I want, what I wanted to make you
- 24:05Speaker 1: aware of, and I didn't want you to tell your
- 24:07Speaker 1: wife this, but the actual casket would be in the saintuary,
- 24:11Speaker 1: but we will have it. Hold hold of man, are
- 24:13Speaker 1: you serious? I look at the man. Y'all need to
- 24:16Speaker 1: move this round. I don't know what y'all gonna do.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Y'all have a fellowship hall in the back or something
- 24:22Speaker 1: like that. Ryan. The only place we can actually put
- 24:25Speaker 1: the casket and if we didn't put it there is
- 24:27Speaker 1: in the actual room that you'll you'll as soon to
- 24:29Speaker 1: be wife would be changing in. That's the only place
- 24:32Speaker 1: a wife intually changing the room when there dead body.
- 24:36Speaker 1: But you can't even it. And you know what, I
- 24:39Speaker 1: understood that. That's the first thing I thought of. I thought,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I said, And let's still put the casket away. It
- 24:43Speaker 1: goes for the fun of them, and we're gonna cover
- 24:46Speaker 1: it up and see. Basically, you actually get in wild.
- 24:50Speaker 1: But I can't even believe you call on me with
- 24:52Speaker 1: did the man look at it? And excuse my french man? Yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 1: I know I need to get back in the church,
- 24:56Speaker 1: I really do. But right now Doug, this ain't going
- 24:59Speaker 1: down like this man. Now we didn't already paid the money.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And first first, first of all, first of all, you
- 25:05Speaker 1: know she shouldn't. I don't even feel like she may
- 25:07Speaker 1: had to pay, you know, to hold no wedding over
- 25:10Speaker 1: at hut Hurt where she paid times a. That's that's
- 25:12Speaker 1: the first thing. You know. I ain't like that from
- 25:14Speaker 1: the jumping. But I wouldn't here to when women because
- 25:16Speaker 1: she want her pasta to marry us. And now you
- 25:19Speaker 1: got to near to tell me that's how we'll arrange
- 25:21Speaker 1: something that for funeral gonna happen the same day as
- 25:23Speaker 1: my wedding and my wife's got to get dressed in
- 25:25Speaker 1: the room with a dead body. Well, no, we're not
- 25:28Speaker 1: gonna put it in that ro was like I say,
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm putting that body first thing in the morning. I'm
- 25:32Speaker 1: gonna put that body in the right there in front
- 25:35Speaker 1: of the fullpit, and we're gonna cover it. Now, what
- 25:38Speaker 1: you're getting out of is you get more flowers, because
- 25:41Speaker 1: there's gonna be flowers from the funeral. So I'm thinking
- 25:44Speaker 1: that's probably gonna be a little bit of a first point.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I just wanted you to be on. It's probably gonna
- 25:49Speaker 1: be more people than you think because some of the
- 25:51Speaker 1: people that's gonna be at your wedding, it's really for
- 25:53Speaker 1: the funeral a whole hold of Man, are you serious?
- 25:57Speaker 1: Frightened at the man? Look at doctor. I didn't paid
- 26:00Speaker 1: for the wedding happened at this church, man, okay, ain't
- 26:03Speaker 1: And no disrespect to the lady that has passed, called
- 26:06Speaker 1: blessed her family. I ain't planning to not putting no
- 26:09Speaker 1: dead body having a funeral at my wedding. Man, that's crazy.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Down on the church too, sir. She's a member of
- 26:17Speaker 1: the church too. I don't give it. I don't being
- 26:19Speaker 1: no member of the church. Man. I am paid for
- 26:22Speaker 1: this wid and it's gonna happen tomorrow. Man, you by
- 26:25Speaker 1: six and of putting the dead body at my wedding,
- 26:32Speaker 1: run run, I mean, no disrespect, but the woman has passed.
- 26:36Speaker 1: She is not gonna get up. I mean, what is
- 26:39Speaker 1: the poulem? The problem is your called me with this
- 26:42Speaker 1: man the day before my wed and we didn't schedule
- 26:44Speaker 1: there six months ago. I twenty five thirty thousand dollars
- 26:47Speaker 1: on this wid okay, and you're gonna tell me that
- 26:49Speaker 1: we got to share our win with a funeral, but
- 26:52Speaker 1: the Hillers won't with you. Man, do you want to
- 26:55Speaker 1: have you're winning at this church? I'll pay for them,
- 26:58Speaker 1: which you mean want? I'm having the wind? Okay, I
- 27:00Speaker 1: tell you what, lift it about the bit in the morning,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I rolling right out to the street playing y'all just
- 27:05Speaker 1: about things in front and and and throw flowers like
- 27:07Speaker 1: throwing rice. But we're gonna have a win inside the
- 27:11Speaker 1: same here tomorrow. I promise you that I care. I care,
- 27:13Speaker 1: not assure you that it won't be. I have no
- 27:16Speaker 1: other place to put the body. Okay, well I'll bet
- 27:19Speaker 1: y'all find someone to put it. If I get that
- 27:21Speaker 1: to mark, it's about it there. It's gonna be a
- 27:22Speaker 1: couple of about it in there name. You got two
- 27:25Speaker 1: choices to move that funeral or to reimburse me back
- 27:28Speaker 1: this thirty thousand dollars out of an hour to spend
- 27:30Speaker 1: those only two choices. I want to hear about it.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Meet me at the front door to night with a
- 27:34Speaker 1: thirty thousand dollars cash hier check. Always say to have
- 27:37Speaker 1: this winding up in that to morrow morning. You heard me.
- 27:39Speaker 1: I ain't playing, I ain't playing at all. No jokes
- 27:43Speaker 1: it's wrong with y'all. Man, you can do something else. Man,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I understand that. I don't want to from you. Man. Now,
- 27:49Speaker 1: all I'm saying is it's gonna be a winning at
- 27:52Speaker 1: this church. More without about it. That's all I'm saying.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Push it to the band. Man. There's there's one more
- 27:59Speaker 1: a bit of an issue that I need to tell you. Also,
- 28:01Speaker 1: what can be worse than a dead bout it? What
- 28:03Speaker 1: issue can be worse dead? By that way, the man,
- 28:06Speaker 1: The issue, sir, that is worse than the dead body
- 28:08Speaker 1: is this is nephew comment from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Your best man, Jeff got me the prank phone? Call you?
- 28:21Speaker 1: What you know? What made the bench man about to
- 28:24Speaker 1: get the best bloop? But he can possibly get? Man playing?
- 28:29Speaker 1: Then God lead the day. It is to get the
- 28:36Speaker 1: best beat down possible. Band. I'll tell you, hey, one
- 28:39Speaker 1: more question. What's the baddest radio show in the land? Ryan,

- 30:14Speaker 1: This proving she was worth the payday? Yes? Yes, yes,
- 30:19Speaker 1: she got sixty million for her book. Yes she ye
- 30:23Speaker 1: Becoming biography Becoming? Yes, that's right. How about my memoir
- 30:28Speaker 1: head being for half the money? Hey, yeah, I gotta memoir?

- 31:16Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Thirty millions. Yeah, the Life
- 31:22Speaker 1: and Times of Me and Bigger Wig is two chapters,
- 31:26Speaker 1: the Life and Times of wonder Love and Biggie Wigs
- 31:31Speaker 1: and who is Biggie Wig? Bigger Wig my hommae from Cleveland? Oh, Shirley,
- 31:35Speaker 1: let me send you a picture big it's a page turner.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I bet a page turner ya. And you had to
- 31:44Speaker 1: tell us out and email it all right, So we
- 31:48Speaker 1: don't have thirty millions, sorry, give us what about twenty
- 31:53Speaker 1: twenty millions? I'm telling damn near all of that, all right,
- 32:00Speaker 1: then twenty million odd. I'll take Baby's title off Netflix
- 32:04Speaker 1: and I'll name that my book before anything. Well, let
- 32:12Speaker 1: me finish telling you about the first lady. Although your
- 32:15Speaker 1: memoir sounds awfully entertained. Yeah, way mote that's what you
- 32:20Speaker 1: will tell all books. Man. Let me call track Harba
- 32:23Speaker 1: College right now. Anyways, as it turns out, missus Obama's autobiography,
- 32:28Speaker 1: as we were saying, Becoming is on the track to
- 32:31Speaker 1: becoming the best selling memoir in history. I love that.
- 32:35Speaker 1: How is that you asked? So far? More than ten
- 32:38Speaker 1: million copies have been sold. Ten million. Yes, it came
- 32:42Speaker 1: out and member, yes, yes, yes, yes she sold. That's
- 32:47Speaker 1: that's motor at a lady thing like man combined the
- 32:53Speaker 1: memoir like a success. The memoir details Michelle Obama's life
- 32:58Speaker 1: from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to
- 33:01Speaker 1: her years in the White House serving as First Lady.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Her book publisher even scored a two point eight percent
- 33:10Speaker 1: gain an annual revenue thanks to Missus Obama's book. So,
- 33:14Speaker 1: I mean that should be in huh her Birtlesman's Penguin
- 33:19Speaker 1: Random House. Man, do you know what that? Don't you
- 33:22Speaker 1: know how much money? Mission? Well, they gained with this book.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I don't know how much they make, but I know
- 33:28Speaker 1: they gained with a game. They have a two point
- 33:30Speaker 1: eight percent and front. Yeah, that was the big news
- 33:36Speaker 1: when they left the White House. Yeah, we wouldn't be
- 33:39Speaker 1: on this radio show. If you got you sound depressed.
- 33:46Speaker 1: But I'm who we gotta called penguin who book? I
- 33:52Speaker 1: got stuff in there? I know Michelle, don't we gotta go.
- 33:56Speaker 1: I promise you she don't introduce the Lovely and Talented
- 34:04Speaker 1: lazing Gem Miss. Thank you everybody. This is answered for
- 34:10Speaker 1: the news. Okay. The Trump administration is still threatening to
- 34:13Speaker 1: cut off USA to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras because
- 34:16Speaker 1: the President blames those nations for the migrant caravans. To
- 34:19Speaker 1: keep coming this way, White House Chief is to have
- 34:21Speaker 1: mc filbainy tell CNN that the problem seems to be
- 34:24Speaker 1: that throwing money at these countries does not keep their
- 34:26Speaker 1: residents and still wanting to leave. We'll say it's working,
- 34:29Speaker 1: but the proof is in the numbers. It's not working
- 34:31Speaker 1: well enough to help us solve our border crisis. And
- 34:34Speaker 1: that's what the presidents focused on. The US border officials
- 34:36Speaker 1: say that tens of thousands of migrants attempt across this
- 34:38Speaker 1: country's southern border each month. A Washington, DC whistle blower
- 34:42Speaker 1: is telling Congress that at least twenty five people and
- 34:44Speaker 1: the Trump administration we're given security clearances. After that clearance
- 34:48Speaker 1: was denied by the proper authorities because of disqualifying issues
- 34:52Speaker 1: in their backgrounds, including worries about foreign influence, past drug
- 34:55Speaker 1: use and even criminal conduct. My life was in any case,
- 35:04Speaker 1: A huge man hunt is underway for the man the
- 35:06Speaker 1: police suspect of killing Nipsey Hustle, a twenty nine year
- 35:09Speaker 1: old Eric Holders, who they're looking for. No, he's not
- 35:12Speaker 1: the air Colder that we know as the former head
- 35:14Speaker 1: of the Justice Department. He's twenty nine year old air
- 35:16Speaker 1: Holder and Lord La. Police say they feel that it
- 35:19Speaker 1: was a personal type of thing, not a gang thing.
- 35:21Speaker 1: The thirty three year old Grammy nominated rapper, entrepreneur and
- 35:24Speaker 1: well like community activists was shot to death on Sunday
- 35:27Speaker 1: afternoon outside his clothing store in broad daylight. At outside
- 35:31Speaker 1: his clothing store last night, hundreds gathered for a huge vigil,
- 35:35Speaker 1: but then after a while there was some shoving and
- 35:37Speaker 1: pushing and some arguing and turned violent. At one point.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Nine people ended up injured, two from two actually were critical.
- 35:43Speaker 1: One person was hit by a car and the other
- 35:45Speaker 1: one was cut by some glass. The House Judiciary Committee
- 35:49Speaker 1: scheduled to vote tomorrow on whether to issue subpoenis to
- 35:51Speaker 1: see the full Muller Report and Russian involvement in the
- 35:54Speaker 1: twenty sixteen election. Three quarters of a million people will
- 35:58Speaker 1: most likely lose their foods amps under a new proposal
- 36:01Speaker 1: by the Trump administration. The stated goal is to encourage
- 36:05Speaker 1: able body adults to get jobs and eventually move off
- 36:08Speaker 1: the welfare roles. Critics say that people will go hungry. However,
- 36:12Speaker 1: the Trump administration says it's targeting so called A bobs.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Those are able bodied adults without dependence. They call them
- 36:18Speaker 1: A bods. The trum administration says they want to cut
- 36:21Speaker 1: off food stamps after three months to A bobs who
- 36:24Speaker 1: don't work, volunteer, or attend job training for at least
- 36:27Speaker 1: twenty hours a week. Apparently that's already the law, but
- 36:31Speaker 1: it's often waived in certain circumstances. The Trup administration wants
- 36:34Speaker 1: it to be much harder to receive a waiver. However,
- 36:37Speaker 1: the idea has to get by Congress, and most Democrats
- 36:40Speaker 1: are not in favor of changing the current system, so
- 36:42Speaker 1: we'll see what happens there. Finally, today is National Peanut
- 36:45Speaker 1: Butter and Jelly Day, and I love peanut butter. Don't
- 36:49Speaker 1: you crunch of peanut butter to Now back to Steve
- 36:56Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to. Nipsey Hustle was a
- 37:03Speaker 1: pillar in the community. He should be remembered as a visionary.
- 37:07Speaker 1: He was set to be a real estate mogul. He
- 37:10Speaker 1: bought businesses and properties to give support to his community.
- 37:14Speaker 1: He gave shoes to every student at Hyde Park Elementary.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Along with his clothing store, he owned a burger restaurant,
- 37:21Speaker 1: a fish market, and barbershop. He helped fund upgrades to
- 37:25Speaker 1: the campus playground and offer jobs to struggling neighbors. If
- 37:29Speaker 1: someone lost a loved one due to violence, he would
- 37:32Speaker 1: chip in for the funeral costs. Steve Nipsey Hustle was
- 37:35Speaker 1: an inspiration to us all at such a young age. Hey,
- 37:41Speaker 1: it's just a damn shame what we'd become. And you know,
- 37:45Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I don't understand the self hatred
- 37:47Speaker 1: that we have for one another. And look, whatever your
- 37:53Speaker 1: beef with this brother, whatever your beef could have possibly been,
- 37:59Speaker 1: it did not all for that. It just didn't. It's senseless.
- 38:05Speaker 1: This is senseless. But I got news for you who
- 38:08Speaker 1: did it. Your life over to all your accomplices. Your
- 38:13Speaker 1: lives are over too. You don't think pass right now,
- 38:18Speaker 1: you gotta beef? But what is settling the beef? Why
- 38:22Speaker 1: is it like this? Y'all? We wrong, man, man, we
- 38:26Speaker 1: just wrong. We've just turned into this society where people
- 38:30Speaker 1: can't even go to church. You can't even send your
- 38:32Speaker 1: kids to school, you can't go sit down and watch
- 38:35Speaker 1: a movie, and you can't be on a tour of
- 38:39Speaker 1: us without somebody, some sick, demented person thinking. And let
- 38:46Speaker 1: me say this to you, La, somebody knows something and
- 38:52Speaker 1: we needs to be talking because look, man, somebody yeah, man,
- 38:59Speaker 1: come on, you gotta be kidding me. Kill the soldier
- 39:03Speaker 1: like this man? And that ain't nobody seeing, nobody know nothing,
- 39:08Speaker 1: just pray for his family. Uh, what a sad thing?
- 39:13Speaker 1: I mean, it was just a sad day in La yesterday.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I mean it was sad. You could feel it, you know,
- 39:19Speaker 1: all over the city. But let me tell you something, No,
- 39:21Speaker 1: just happened every day in La. Yeah. Yes, Nipsey Hustle
- 39:26Speaker 1: happens to be famous. But do you know the dudes
- 39:31Speaker 1: that's dying out of here? Yeah, it's happening all across
- 39:35Speaker 1: the country. Wells man, we ought to be saddened by
- 39:40Speaker 1: all of it Atlanta, the heartless felons in Cleveland, all
- 39:44Speaker 1: these gangs in Chicago, Man, Dallas. All you gotta do
- 39:49Speaker 1: is cut on four day and hours day in every city.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Now everything they used to just be in Memphis, they
- 39:54Speaker 1: now dog they was in Mobile, Alabama last night, bel
- 40:00Speaker 1: Alabama forty eight got plenty stories to wow. All right,
- 40:05Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, we'll talk
- 40:08Speaker 1: more about our community and the fact that this violence
- 40:11Speaker 1: just needs to stop. Right after this, you're listening to
- 40:15Speaker 1: show this is really really horrific. This story and autopsy
- 40:21Speaker 1: found that Nipsey Hustle died from gunshot wounds to the
- 40:23Speaker 1: head and torso the Los Angeles County Department of Medical
- 40:27Speaker 1: Examiner corner determined. Chief Michael Moore of the Los Angeles
- 40:31Speaker 1: Police Department note it Sunday night that in one week
- 40:35Speaker 1: listen to this, Steve, there had been ten homicides and
- 40:38Speaker 1: twenty six shooting victims across LA. So that goes back
- 40:42Speaker 1: to what you were saying in our last break. That's
- 40:44Speaker 1: thirty six families left to pick up the pieces. That's
- 40:49Speaker 1: what the chief said on Twitter. And I mean, you know, Steve,
- 40:54Speaker 1: like you said, it's got to stop. I mean, we
- 40:57Speaker 1: have got to stop this. We have to when we're
- 41:01Speaker 1: in a sick place. Now, we have so turned away
- 41:06Speaker 1: from God and I'm just saying this. Look, man, y'all
- 41:09Speaker 1: can call me corny, hokey, however you want to do it.
- 41:12Speaker 1: You know, you know it kills me when people talking
- 41:14Speaker 1: about why are you always talking about the Lord? Because
- 41:16Speaker 1: I have no explanation for my life. I have no
- 41:19Speaker 1: other reason I can give you why I'm in the
- 41:21Speaker 1: position I'm in that because it show. Ain't I'm that
- 41:24Speaker 1: because I'm that great. It's just not. So that's my explanation.
- 41:30Speaker 1: But we've turned so far from God we have no
- 41:33Speaker 1: more more composes anymore. The fact that you would walk
- 41:38Speaker 1: up to a man and murder him in cold blood
- 41:40Speaker 1: and then get in your car with a girl driving
- 41:43Speaker 1: who who? What was on her mind? What was on
- 41:45Speaker 1: his mind? What? What? What made them what? It didn't
- 41:50Speaker 1: make any sense. And when I did Deal Show last night,
- 41:52Speaker 1: you know, Deal Hugley's daughter is on the show and
- 41:55Speaker 1: she does this thing called Millennial Minute, and she was
- 41:58Speaker 1: talking about this young man last night and how this
- 42:01Speaker 1: album had gotten her through Victory something he put out, Yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 1: Victory Lab High that gotten her through some time. She
- 42:08Speaker 1: was going through. She twenty seven, she deals during the
- 42:11Speaker 1: same age as my son, you know. And and man,
- 42:13Speaker 1: she was just so on fire talking about this young
- 42:16Speaker 1: dude in his life and what it was. And at
- 42:19Speaker 1: the end of the day, you know what she's saying,
- 42:21Speaker 1: over what? Right? Over what? But we have such a
- 42:27Speaker 1: lack of value for each other and we ain't got
- 42:31Speaker 1: no more no more compass, and we just walking around here, man,
- 42:35Speaker 1: like that's the answer this generation. Man. I look, man,
- 42:40Speaker 1: look look it, get back. Look man, I got you
- 42:45Speaker 1: gonna have disputes. I got is gonna get physical sometimes.
- 42:49Speaker 1: But let's get physical though. What happened to that? Everybody
- 42:52Speaker 1: walk away? Yeah? You know what, Man, come on over here.
- 42:57Speaker 1: You got a problem. What I said, throw your hands up? Right?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Do you ain't got to end my life? Man? Yeah,
- 43:03Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. It's final. Yeah, that's it. There's
- 43:06Speaker 1: no coming back from this. I love the fact though,
- 43:10Speaker 1: you know that Nipsey Hustle made his life count for something.
- 43:15Speaker 1: He made improving South LA a priority. After his rap
- 43:18Speaker 1: career took off, he diversified beyond the music industry. He
- 43:22Speaker 1: became a local businessman, a philanthropist. Last year, Steve Nipsey, Hustle,
- 43:27Speaker 1: who taught himself how to build computers, helped open a
- 43:31Speaker 1: center in Crenshaw dedicated to connecting underrepresented groups with technology companies,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and according to an interview with The La Times, Nipsey
- 43:41Speaker 1: once said, growing up as a kid, he was looking
- 43:44Speaker 1: for someone, and not for someone to give him anything,
- 43:48Speaker 1: but someone that cared. You know. So what a great legacy.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I mean you know, yeah, it's just it's so sea
- 43:57Speaker 1: thirty four years old, he was yea for the culture. Absolutely, yes, yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 1: he touched a lot of people. Yes, it really did. Yeah,
- 44:07Speaker 1: they really really did. So you think about his children
- 44:10Speaker 1: and you think about you know in London that you
- 44:13Speaker 1: know that just I don't know, everybody's taking this to heart.
- 44:16Speaker 1: It just breaks your heart. Yeah, it makes you sad,
- 44:19Speaker 1: It really does. Inside it's like, you know, a good one.
- 44:23Speaker 1: You know, I'm sure there are a lot of good ones,
- 44:25Speaker 1: but you know, man, oh man, it's just and it's
- 44:29Speaker 1: just like you said, Steve, I mean with the LA
- 44:32Speaker 1: Police Department talking about the shooting deaths and the homicide
- 44:36Speaker 1: in La on this past Sunday, you know, we talked
- 44:40Speaker 1: about Chicago, the US in New Orleans and all these
- 44:44Speaker 1: cities where the violence, the violence, ye were killing each other. Yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 1: well we're gonna switch gears here. Um, Tommy's out today,
- 44:54Speaker 1: as we mentioned, but of course Junior is here and
- 44:57Speaker 1: he's going to fill in for the nephew with the
- 44:59Speaker 1: prank phone call for today. Right after this, you're listening
- 45:02Speaker 1: to Day Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 45:06Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after today Strawberry letter.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Oh lord, what you hear this one? Subject my dangerous
- 45:15Speaker 1: one night stand. Wait wait, wait on that. You don't
- 45:19Speaker 1: want to miss it, but right now you don't want
- 45:20Speaker 1: to miss this nephew. Tommy is out today, but of
- 45:24Speaker 1: course Junior is here. What you got for us today, Junior?
- 45:28Speaker 1: The Bubleshop? Uh huh ha ha ha ha the Bubleshop.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Everybody got to go down now you've been in there. Yeah,
- 45:37Speaker 1: run it, Cat Brady, How are you doing? Man? My name,
- 45:41Speaker 1: my name is Dennis Man. I got a hack cut
- 45:42Speaker 1: from you a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, what's up? Hey? Listen, Um,
- 45:47Speaker 1: I wanted to get an appointment with you, man. Uh,
- 45:49Speaker 1: Like I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 45:51Speaker 1: my first time getting hair cut from You did real,
- 45:53Speaker 1: real good job, So I want to say thank you
- 45:55Speaker 1: for that. All right? Okay, do you have any um
- 46:00Speaker 1: any time or available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah, for sure,
- 46:03Speaker 1: Ye come up to Thursday. What's what's what's your name here? Brother? Dennis? Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis?
- 46:09Speaker 1: Why I can't Dennis about about three o'clock man, something
- 46:12Speaker 1: of that nature. I mean, you know, I know the
- 46:14Speaker 1: work performance. You know three o'clock you will be there. Yeah, okay, Hey,
- 46:20Speaker 1: I got a little bit of situation though, man. That
- 46:22Speaker 1: happened last time I was there. I kind of wanted
- 46:25Speaker 1: to talk to you about it, man, because it kind
- 46:27Speaker 1: of called me off guard. So I wanted to do
- 46:30Speaker 1: how I let you man and see if we could
- 46:32Speaker 1: rectify the problem. For I came back up there. What happened?
- 46:35Speaker 1: What's somebody disrespect yourself? I mean, what was to do? What? What? Um?
- 46:40Speaker 1: It really was somebody? Man? It was it was? It
- 46:42Speaker 1: was it was actually you me? Whoa? I mean, what's
- 46:45Speaker 1: the here's deal? Man? When you was cutting my hair,
- 46:48Speaker 1: when it when it was time to turn the chair,
- 46:52Speaker 1: you didn't turn the chair with with with with with
- 46:55Speaker 1: your hand man. See Brady man, you you turned the
- 46:58Speaker 1: chair with your with your private part. Oh, come on
- 47:02Speaker 1: safe then it's I mean dns. I'm a professional man.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I've been doing this fifteen years, bro right right. I
- 47:07Speaker 1: don't think it's anything deliberate. Man. I think you just
- 47:10Speaker 1: do it unconsciously, man, because you know you'd be leaning
- 47:13Speaker 1: over on the chair cutting, and I think you don't realize,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you know, you be turning the chair with your private
- 47:19Speaker 1: part instead of doing it with your hand. Man. And see,
- 47:22Speaker 1: my hand got caught out there, and I saw it
- 47:24Speaker 1: out the corner of my eyes. I saw your private
- 47:26Speaker 1: part coming towards my hand. I moved it just in time.
- 47:30Speaker 1: You understand, but not see, Dennis, I'm not understanding something.
- 47:34Speaker 1: But because I don't, I don't. We don't operate like
- 47:36Speaker 1: that mine here, because you know I don't make mistakes
- 47:39Speaker 1: like that. But I mean, you know, I don't know you.
- 47:41Speaker 1: You're sure you're talking to the right person, man, Yeah,
- 47:43Speaker 1: I mean, ain't you the third chair on the right
- 47:45Speaker 1: when you walk in the door. Yeah, it's correct, Okay,
- 47:48Speaker 1: that what I'm talking about, man. And you cut me
- 47:50Speaker 1: two weeks ago, and like I said, I really like
- 47:52Speaker 1: my haird cut, so I wanted to call back and
- 47:54Speaker 1: rectify this problem. But you know you gotta turn the
- 47:57Speaker 1: chair with your hand and not your private part. If not,
- 47:59Speaker 1: we're gonna have a problem. Okay, Bro, Now I feel it,
- 48:03Speaker 1: and I understand you You're complaint and everything. I mean,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I'm not understanding what you're saying, but because I don't

- 48:19Speaker 1: not being Okay. I understand what you're saying, but I
- 48:22Speaker 1: want you to hear what I'm saying. If you put
- 48:25Speaker 1: your private on there at all when I come in
- 48:28Speaker 1: there Thursday, then I promise you're gonna jump up and
- 48:32Speaker 1: we're gonna have a problem. Let's see now now now
- 48:35Speaker 1: right there, And I'm not I'm not feeling that jump
- 48:38Speaker 1: up having a problem because you know, you don't really
- 48:40Speaker 1: know me like that. Bro, you know, I mean, I'm
- 48:42Speaker 1: trying to be professional here and and solve your little
- 48:45Speaker 1: issue that you got your understanding. But but I all
- 48:47Speaker 1: this jumping up and stuff you're talking about doing, I
- 48:50Speaker 1: don't know. I'm trying to come in and get a
- 48:52Speaker 1: nice hair cut and walk out with a nice hair cut.
- 48:55Speaker 1: What I don't want to do. It's come down there,
- 48:58Speaker 1: you're lean old, put your private part. Well, I got
- 49:00Speaker 1: my arms in my hands and I got help you. Now,
- 49:03Speaker 1: that's what I don't from the dude you're starting. You're
- 49:06Speaker 1: touching the wrong, talking about what you're talking about. I'm
- 49:08Speaker 1: touching you wrong. You touch me wrong two weeks ago
- 49:11Speaker 1: when you put your private on my hand. Man, I
- 49:15Speaker 1: don't know how to touch you. I tell you feeling
- 49:17Speaker 1: say what thank you're talking to? Man? You know why
- 49:22Speaker 1: dog all I'm trying to say, you know, the brother
- 49:24Speaker 1: trying to come in and get his hair cut and
- 49:26Speaker 1: walk out fitting like a man, and not walk out
- 49:28Speaker 1: feeling violated man, because you didn't turn the chair with
- 49:32Speaker 1: your private part all up against my head and my
- 49:34Speaker 1: elbow and stuff. Man, you know what I'm saying. I'm
- 49:39Speaker 1: you know, I'm trying to talk to you. But unles,
- 49:42Speaker 1: you're gonna run me wrong. I ain't no punk flying here,
- 49:45Speaker 1: and you understanding they ain't no punk flying that didn't
- 49:47Speaker 1: keep it off my hand. Let me tell you something

- 54:32Speaker 1: It's time for the Strawberry Letter. Well, my friend Shirley
- 54:35Speaker 1: straw here, thank you, hype man. Subject my Dangerous one
- 54:40Speaker 1: night Stand. Listen carefully. Here's Stephen Shirley. I am a
- 54:43Speaker 1: thirty one year old single female in need of your help.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Back in August, I ran into one of my dad's
- 54:50Speaker 1: best friends at a business seminar out of town. I
- 54:54Speaker 1: was at a hotel bar and he sat next to
- 54:56Speaker 1: me and we were both shocked since it has been
- 54:58Speaker 1: over ten years since we've both seen each other. We
- 55:02Speaker 1: had a great time catching up, and when I left
- 55:04Speaker 1: the bar, he walked me to my room. Because I
- 55:07Speaker 1: had had quite a few drinks and he was being
- 55:10Speaker 1: a gentleman. He asked if he could use my bathroom
- 55:14Speaker 1: and then relax for a little while before driving back
- 55:17Speaker 1: to our hometown, which was an hour away. I was
- 55:20Speaker 1: fine with that, and I told him I was going
- 55:22Speaker 1: to take a quick shower so I could get ready
- 55:25Speaker 1: for bed. I jumped in the shower and the next
- 55:28Speaker 1: thing I know, he's in the shower too, and I'm
- 55:32Speaker 1: holding onto the shower door for dear life. Yeah. We
- 55:37Speaker 1: went from ya are you hearing this letter? H Yeah,
- 55:43Speaker 1: Dear Life Yeah, messaging in one of old school players.
- 55:47Speaker 1: We went from the shower to the bed to the
- 55:50Speaker 1: balcony in what seemed like yur or deal. This older
- 55:55Speaker 1: man is still sexy, but I had no idea and
- 55:59Speaker 1: old man could bring it like that. Afterwards, he left
- 56:04Speaker 1: and we agreed that we should not stay in contact
- 56:06Speaker 1: with each other. I had not heard from him since then,
- 56:09Speaker 1: but two weeks ago he showed up at my daddy's
- 56:12Speaker 1: birthday party. That's when I found out he was married,
- 56:17Speaker 1: and I angrily threw a drink in his face. My
- 56:20Speaker 1: dad saw it all, and he said he didn't even
- 56:23Speaker 1: have to ask what was going on. My dad said
- 56:27Speaker 1: that his friend bragged to him about the little hot
- 56:29Speaker 1: thing he had a fling with, but my dad had
- 56:32Speaker 1: no idea that he was talking about me. My dad
- 56:37Speaker 1: tried to knock this guy out right then and there. Now,
- 56:41Speaker 1: the guy's wife wants a divorce after twenty five years
- 56:44Speaker 1: of marriage, and my dad still wants to beat this
- 56:46Speaker 1: man up the next time he sees him. The worst
- 56:49Speaker 1: part is that I can't stop fantasizing about having sex
- 56:52Speaker 1: with him. How can I fix this mess? Well, to you,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I say, don't worry, because your dad is gonna take
- 57:00Speaker 1: care of him. He's gonna fix it the very next
- 57:02Speaker 1: time he lays eyes on him. Your dad is gonna
- 57:05Speaker 1: fix it. I mean. And your dad's friend, he's foul, sorry,
- 57:09Speaker 1: he's fouled. You as his friend's daughter should have been
- 57:13Speaker 1: off limits to him, because that's just a code. You
- 57:16Speaker 1: don't mess with your friend's daughters and all of that,
- 57:19Speaker 1: And how embarrassed are you to have everyone knowing your business.
- 57:23Speaker 1: You threw a drink in his face at the party
- 57:26Speaker 1: in front of his wife and everyone. Come on, now
- 57:29Speaker 1: with you're a little fast tail. I mean, you know,
- 57:34Speaker 1: you didn't think anything when he asked you could he
- 57:37Speaker 1: used the bathroom and relax for an hour. You didn't
- 57:41Speaker 1: think maybe you shouldn't get in the shower. I'm not
- 57:44Speaker 1: you didn't think about that. You have a man. I
- 57:47Speaker 1: guess you trusted him. I'm not blaming this on you
- 57:50Speaker 1: or saying it's your fault or anything, because I put
- 57:53Speaker 1: the total blame on him. But you just don't, you know,
- 57:56Speaker 1: for safety reasons, don't take a shower when you have
- 57:58Speaker 1: a man in your home that you haven't seen in timid.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Don't do that. I don't. I just don't like the
- 58:03Speaker 1: sound of that. Yeah, you're naked. Yeah, I mean, I
- 58:07Speaker 1: know you're a grown woman, you're thirty one. I get
- 58:09Speaker 1: all of that. But you hadn't seen him in ten years,
- 58:12Speaker 1: so you didn't know. You know, you just don't know. Anyway,
- 58:15Speaker 1: I don't like the fact that he took advantage of
- 58:18Speaker 1: you in your shower. I don't care how good the
- 58:20Speaker 1: sex was. I don't care. That's that's my opinion. I
- 58:23Speaker 1: don't like it. Now the guy's wife wants to divorce
- 58:27Speaker 1: after twenty five years of marriage. You know this is
- 58:29Speaker 1: just a mess now, and now your dad wants to
- 58:31Speaker 1: beat the man up. Come on, you may as well
- 58:35Speaker 1: let him go. That's how you can fix it. Stop
- 58:37Speaker 1: fantasizing about him. Next, Steve, surely, yes, No, normally I
- 58:46Speaker 1: agree with last. I can't go with you on this hill.
- 58:49Speaker 1: The line you said about the total blame is on him, No,
- 58:55Speaker 1: Chief thirty one, you're post to know some of this stuff.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Let's just go down this damn. She is single female.
- 59:05Speaker 1: She at the bar on a bustes seminar out of town.
- 59:09Speaker 1: You at the bar, He sat next to you, and
- 59:12Speaker 1: we were both shocked. Oh my god, is you Oh
- 59:17Speaker 1: lord are you? Oh my god? Have you been well?
- 59:23Speaker 1: How you been? I haven't seen you? Oh my dad,
- 59:27Speaker 1: it's gonna be so crazy when he finds out we
- 59:29Speaker 1: were together. Yeah, I'm just down. What you're doing down here?
- 59:33Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. We were just in the business seminar.
- 59:37Speaker 1: How about you? Well, I'm downe. You're gonna be in myself.
- 59:43Speaker 1: There's nothing I had for him if he talked like that. Yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 1: we had a great time catching up, And when I
- 59:52Speaker 1: left the bar, he walked me to my room because
- 59:55Speaker 1: I had quite a few drinks. He knew that because
- 59:59Speaker 1: he was by he bought the damn drinks. That's how
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: I know you had a bunch of them. He was
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: being a gentleman. He asked if he could use my bathroom,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: and he relaxed for a little while for driving back
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to our hotel. What dog, what is lady? Now? You
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: don't go on nobody's room to cheer for a minute,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: get your answering that car and get on up the road.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: For you kill yourself. But you figure, all right, this
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: is my daddy's friend. Let me go on in and
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: make this happen. So you go on in. Now, you
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: let him in, You let him use a bathroom. He
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: sit down. I was fine with that. I told him
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I was gonna take a quick shower so I could
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: get ready for bed. You tell him, man, that's in
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: your room, that's gonna be there for an hour. You're
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: gonna take a quick shower and get ready for bed.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: He heard in his mind. I just said I'm gonna
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: relax for an hour. She taking a shower to come
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: get into bed. Ain't but one bed in him and
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I'm sitting on it at me going in this shower,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: O God, and see what's happening. I jumped in the shine.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: The next thing I know here in the shower too.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: You know what the next line was, and I'm holding
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: on to the shower, dove deal. Come on. Yeh, that's crazy,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: But you know what, That's all I had was that
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: moment for him, because after that, I don't like this dude,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: right exactly. He's out of line. I don't like this dude,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: even though you got a lot to blame with this,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and the blame is not toldly on him. And I'll
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: tell you why. All right, Uh, Steve, we're gonna recap
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: when we come back. Get part two of your response
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: as well. This is a crazy letter subject my dangerous
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: one night stand. This guy is my dad's friend. We'll
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: be back right after this listening, All right, Steve, Let's
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter and get part two of your response.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Subject to my Dangerous one night Stand. Thirty one year
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: old lady go to a ball one night on business trip.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: A man sit down next to it. They both shot.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: They ain't seen in over ten years. One of your dads.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: It's her dad's one of my dad's best friends. They
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: had a great time catching up. I left the bar.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: He walks us to the room because I had quite
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a few drinks. He was being a gentleman, of course
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: he was, because he bought you to drink. He asked
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: if he could use my bathroom and then relax for
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: a little while before driving back to our hometown, which
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: was an hour away. Then your stupid ass said I
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: was fine with that, and I told him I was
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: gonna take a quick shower so I could get ready
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: for bed. I jumped in the shower and next thing
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I know, here in the shower too, he could boo surprised,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and I'm holding on to this shower dough for dear life.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Called pop Dad in there, pain, what Steve? Pop Dad
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: in there breaking? And after this point this is when
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I stopped liking to due. Next thing I know, here
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: in the shower too, I'm holding on to the dough
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: for dear life. We went from the shower to the
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: bed to the balcony. Boy, now this one I started
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: not liking him, but right after the balcony. But at
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: first I was PLoud for a minute. I was born
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: what or what you're doing. But now I don't like
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: him because this is your best friend's daughter. Yes, hold up, dog,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: wait a minute, man, you gotta respected cat's kingdom. And
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: when you don't, you fit to have another problem. So
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: then she says, we went from show to bed in
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: what seemed like a full hour ordeal. This older man
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: still sexy. But I had no idea old man could
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: bring it like that. Now, don't you see you? No,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: you don't know. But now you're been some trouble. Now
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: a little girl, but she's a little stupid. No, Aunsha,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I don't need no help, no, no, no, I just
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: need to ask you a question. But go ahead, I
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: want to ask. Non, go ahead and ask because you're selling.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: You're agreeing with me. You said you disagree. Where are we?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I disagree with you because it's not totally his fault. No,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you said it's totally you said in your the total
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: blame is on him. I called her fast and I
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: fast tail ain't got nothing to do with it. This
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: is stupidity. She's being stupid at thirty one. You know
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: good in hair well, I don't care who the dude is.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Walk you to your room. As she was bad Foo
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and then can he relaxful? He drive back an hour?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: It's late. Get your hands on the rule. I agree.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Now I'm in the shower. Next thing I know, he
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: in the shower too, and I'm hanging on to the
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: shower though the shower dough head open. Somebody opened the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: damn dough You know, screaming is still legal in this country. Screaming,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: but they ain't what you wanted to do. So now
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: this is why I'm kind of mad at her. Afterwards,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: he left and we agreed that we should not stay
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: in contact with each other. That was the agreement. I
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: had not heard from him since then, but two weeks
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: ago he showed up in my daddy's birthday party. That's
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: when I found out he was married, and I angrily
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: threw a drink in his face. Wait a minute, hold up,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: what you're throwing drakes in the man face? Fault? Did
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you lose your mind momentarily? Did you not forget that
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you both agreed not to stay in contact. So when
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: you all him at the man's party and you found
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: out he was married, y'all wasn't gonna be in touching, no. Mother,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: it was your one night stand that you agreed to
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: that one. And I will remind you shortly that you've
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: been fantasizing about. Now he showed up with his wife.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Now you throw a drink in his face with a
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: cut out of the bag. Now my dad saw it
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: and all and said he didn't even have to ask
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: what was going on? Hell no, because he know. My
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: dad said that his friend bragged to him about this
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: little hot thing he had a flame with. But my
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: dad had no idea that he was talking about me.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Then your daddy tried to knock the guy out right
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: then and there not a guy. Now the guy's wife
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: want a divorce at the twenty five years a man,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: and my dad still want to whoop the man's hand.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: The next time, he seemed, I'm in full agreement with this.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Now he he's asked whip this on the trade there
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: on a tray. The worst part of it is I
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: can't stop fantasizing about having sexual in him. How can
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I fix this message? But listen to me, see you young, now,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. Now, what y'all can't
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: do is get out here with these with these wolves
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: and these lambs clothing. You can't get out here in
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: this ocean with these great white sharks because they deadly
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: now and now he'd put something on you. But he wronged,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: But he wronged like two left you. And then man,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the nerve of this dude to go to your father
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: and say, I had a flame this young hot thing,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: knowing the whole time that he was talking to his
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: boy about his daughter exactly. Oh. And then what he
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: did was he explicitly see they don't stop it. See
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: ain't no old dude, Tom, I just had this little
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: flame with this hot thing. Man. We was in she
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: let me down to this ro dog. That's what he did.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: That white he got his ass knocked out. We was
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: all up in the shower, we got on the bed,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: we was out on the balcony. He told her all
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: of that. He told his boy. Oh hell nah. So
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: now the dad knocking your ass out on site every
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: time he see you. So now I understand what's happening now,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: and now she want to know how she can fix it.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: But it ain't nothing you could do. No, this is
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: a lesson learned. Number One, you need to quit drinking.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Number two, you don't let me and walk you back
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to your room. That ain't being a gentleman, and by
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: walking you to your room for nothing, and then let
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: him use the bathroom relax for our while you in
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: the shower getting ready for bed and a little bed
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: in the damn room. Joe stupid as you that damn
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: drunk you stupid now so now he all in the room.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Now he ain't even waiting on you to come out
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: the show. She neck it. Nah, let me take my
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: clothes off, slide on in here, you in a hand
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: on to the dough for dear life. Danny went home
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: and told Joe daddy, Oh, he's so damn stupid he
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: needed his ass. Whoop. All right, we gotta go email

- 1:09:58Speaker 1: scent like we do, like through the speakers or something.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: That would be great? Steve what Steve Well? Might as

- 1:10:17Speaker 1: smell it through the speakers our audience, and maybe we
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: could be the first radio show ever to offer that
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: interesting hunt. We could call it radio sent radio scent
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: or smell good Radio. I like that one even better,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: smell good radio something like that. You get you get
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: the picture. Thank you, Thank you, Carla Well. Until we
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: figure it out, you can grab yourself a big bottle

- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I like that. I didn't like the cooking joke, though, Steve. Anyway,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Steve listened to this though. You know that, all right?
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Listen this guy in Birmingham, Steve. He started out as
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a contractor, uh slash handyman, and he says he was
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: inspired by you to get into radio. Okay, and the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: great news is that he just started. He just landed
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a show on a station in Birmingham. His name is
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Joe Lockett. Everybody say hey, Joe, shot up Joe Lockett. Yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: what's up Joe? Joe Lockett. He posted on Facebook he said,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I stood by Steve Harvey's picture six years ago, a
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: picture of you Steve on the home station Hot one
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: oh seven seven on their vehicle, on their station vehicle,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: and said, never be afraid to dream big. Years ago
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I sat in the back of the room at a
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey event and said, one day I want to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: do what he's doing. His message to you, Steve is
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: simply thank you, never be afraid to dream big and
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: following someone else's footsteps. Check this out, Steve as inspired
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: by you. Joe Lockett's radio show is from three to
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: five pm on w x J C FM one on
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: one point one. Congratulations to Joe Lockett. So I mean, basically,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: he wasn't afraid to jump. You inspired him, you know,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: and you can't be afraid where to go Joe Lockett. Congratulations. Yeah,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: that's big and everyone wouldn't you say, Steve? I mean,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: for anybody that's thinking about it, here's a deal. You
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: go around this track in life one time. You don't
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: get two laps. You go. Once you start, you finish.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: If one time round it's just to your long track,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that's all all you run across country. But at one
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: day it has to end. Why not during the run,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: run the race that you love to run. Wake up
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: and chase something you love to chase. Go to bed
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: realizing that when I wake up in the morning, God
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: will it man, I'm gonna get another opportunity to get
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: another day closer. Everybody should experience that before they die. Everybody. Wow.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Bishop Jake said, one time I would hate to die
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: and never do the thing I was born to do. Amazing, amazing.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Congratulations to Joe Lockett, who's gonna be the next Joe Lockett.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: He's got his own radio. Go ahead, Joe. Yeah. I
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: was reading his post on Facebook, Steve, and he was saying,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you know how you motivate people, but you know what
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: those are the people that I wake up for in
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: the morning. That's right, it's people. You know. I always
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: say this, hate is louder, but love is stronger. Yeah,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: And you know, sometimes when you at work, I'm just
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: talking to everybody. Now, sometimes you get beat up by
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the haters and you don't even know where it's come from.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: And it seems like it's a large like it's an
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: overwhelming number. Because when they when they gang up, they
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: get on the roll. The trolls get on the roll,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and it'd be bad. Comment autter comment autter comment. Trolls
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: on the roll, That's what I call it. And so
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: next thing you know, it's bad coming after coming, and
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: you might start feeling, Man, everybody, it ain't anybody, y'all,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: it ain't It ain't even know where nil everybody because
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: people bring me stuff out to the man, they everybody
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: talking about Tuesday. Hey dog, you're reading a blog. You
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: got you got problems when you got some negative and
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: it's on CNN and Fox. Your ass got a problem
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: because na, nw dog, we somewhere else. But if it's
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: on the blog, it's on the blog. Stop letting needs
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: people throw your day off course because guess what in
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: forty eight hours, they're gonna find something else. Yeah, because
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: their bottom feeders, man, and the and the and they
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: just look for fresh doodoo. That's all they do. They
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: just look for fresh do dude, because their bottom feeders. No,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: they really do. I want to say something else, but
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I want to stay on the air, so we're gonna
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: go with do do. I mean, but you know if
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: when it when we didn't have social media when we
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: were growing up, that you know, everybody didn't know what
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: you were doing anyway unless you told them. You know,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: now people know everything that you're doing. So like you say,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: here come the trolls, here comes serious. But the sad
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: part surely it's everybody won't everybody to know? Yeah, which
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: you opened yourself up right Yeah. But man, I'm telling
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: y'all just ain't what you really want because you do
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: not know what this is and what comes. No, it's
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: a price right now because of the Internet. It's made
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the price for fame too high. Yeah. But what about
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: the part though, see, but I mean take away the
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: fame and all that, what about the part in your
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: heart that you you you mentor young men and you
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: help people, you inspire people, right that that desire that
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: you have to give back. I mean to change. It's working, right,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I mean, And like I say, I appreciate the love.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Even though Hayde is louder. It's the love is stronger,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: and the love is what keeps you going. For the
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Joe Lockett's out there, for the for the Earnie teams
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: out there, for the young boys that I mentor for
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: the women who've been inspired or changed by a book
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: or learning how to have more self esteem. It's just,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: you know, I always say my career is what I'm
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: paid for, but my calling is what I'm made for.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: And I truly believe that's a part of my calling. Yeah.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: I have to go to work with you every day, man, Yeah,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I see it for a dance. I see how to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: handle situations by something. I learned something from him every
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: single day. All right, Well, listen, coming up at the
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: top of the hour, what do you remember about your childhood?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: What do you remember most about your childhood? Think about that.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: all right, Steve. According to a new survey, holiday dinners
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: and summer vacations rank high on the list of people's
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: most vivid memories of their childhood. So I got to
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: ask you, and you have You're you're one of the
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: greatest storytellers I've ever known. What do you remember most
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: most about your childhood? My damn bike? Oh good, I
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: was not ready for that. I wasn't What about your bike,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: bike man? I love my bike, man. I got a
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: brand new bike. Oh with the butterfly handler balls, three
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: speed shift, banana seat, put assisted pulled on it with
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: the raccoon tail and I had two raccoon purple. It
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: had two raccoon streamers instead of them little you know
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the little punk ass streamers that come out there that
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: you put in the handleball on the tip, you know,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: a little little paper things, plastic thing be rapping my head.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: Raccoon tails on that took. Yeah, that's my dad, That's
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: my first. That's my card though. That's how I got
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Unparado girls household. Now I graduated. I got me a
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: twenty six inch English Racer one time from may ump
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: to head on self eighty nine. I saved my money
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: for about eight months, saved up that eighty nine dollars
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: off my job, bought that damn bike. Then I wrote
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: that bike every day from high school to work that
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: bike man mold to me. Yeah, I worked my I
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: got a high school that it did twist that I
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: was through. Yeah, that's why I was voted most difficult.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: I ain't like nobody had money, nobody like you? Just
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: why didn't you ran a program though that you could
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: leave at twelve thirty? Yeah? I had all my credits, right, Ok,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I had my credit. Yeah, I wasn't smart. I was
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: going to work. Oh money, yeah, oh, I wouldn't want
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: no high as GP. I just at GP. I just
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: had them all. I was too You know what was
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: your first first jot? I was paper route working with
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: my daddy. But wasn't it really paper route? Was? I
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: was running numbers for him and don Key? Oh yeah yeah?
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: And so we ran numbers. So I delivered the paper.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: But every morning I had to go to people's number
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: boxes whoever they had their money head for the numbers
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: that they was playing that day. Some people had the
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: money behind the mailbox. That's the Yeah, yeah, man, he
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: controlled the number of racket in Cleveland. My daddy was
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: wanted the runners. But that's like the lottery, right was
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: that this? Since this is why you have the lottery.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: The lottery came from the numbers. They stole all that
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: from the hood grandfathers. Yeah, black people started that in Harlem,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: and so you know, that's how that was. My first
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: job was a paper route to deliver the papers. But
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: it was a cover because I had to go in
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: the backyard. Like some people taped their money under their
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: bumper outside so you wouldn't have come up. Some people
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: had their money taped under the step, some people had
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: the envelope behind the mail box. Some people threw it
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: down in the rolls bushes. Well what what kind of money? Well,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: the way my daddy worked was if anybody hit, he
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: got ten percent of they hit. So if they hit
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: for sixty dollars, he made six. If somebody hit for
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: six hundred, because if you bet a dollar, it was six.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: It was it was. It was if you better dollar,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: you could win six hundred. If you bet a dime
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: you could win sixty dollars. Wow. Or you could bet
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: a penny and one six dollars. That's why they call
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: them penny numbers. And the Italians used to laugh at
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: the Blacks until they found out what bumping them up
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: there in New York was making. They was making millions
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: off them penny wow. And and just last week, wasn't
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: it someone won seven hundred and fifty millions A lot
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: of play. I forgot to play. Yeah, yeah, that's seven
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million. Yeah you played. I forgot about
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: twenty because we had one number twelve. We had one number. God,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: the press we were talking about everybody chipping two hundred dollars.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I would have been mad. I would have been mad. Yeah.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: So that was my first job. Then I had a
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: I did that until I was turned thirteen and I
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: could get a snick summer job summer youth. Uh yeah,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: some some summer youth on the community something and called
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: it snick. And I got that job. Yeah. Yeah, go
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: to park pick up paper. I wasn't picking up a
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: damn thing though. I don't even Paul shooting hoop, So
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you got fired. Now, I can't get fired everybody else shooting.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: He was working, Yeah, I was like, we was all shooting.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I wouldn't over there throwing it up by myself. I mean,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I mean, i'mlay was working. We're painting some buildings and
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: stuff and stuff like that. Then after that, man, I
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: got me a job at the grocery store during school
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and then on summer vacations. I could work with my
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: father every summer since I was in tenth grade from
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: eleven to twelve, and then summers earlier before that, my
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: summers I was off, I went back to the farm
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: and worked farm with my grandfather and my uncle. Okay, yeah,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: full life man. Yeah, that's why my memoirs if they
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: didn't gain machine Obama sixty million. I got something for you.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: But you've written, like what four books, three books, ain't
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: got sixty million? All four to come together. I'm gonna
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: keep it one hundred at you. She just old ten
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: million college. I ain't told ten millions. But all I
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: got four books out ain't sold. Well, you better call
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Random House. If you were to write another book, what
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: would you call it is thirty meal tales at all?
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: It's the title. It better be juicy. That's all for
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: thirty minutes for thirty meal. I got it for you, Okay,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: surely I ain't lying. I got it from you. Bertlesman's
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Penguin Random House division. Tell them to call Steve Halls.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I'm talking about I got some stuff that throw y'all
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: ass in the shock. If I thought you told us everything.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: He no the most of the week. Y'all got to
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: be crazy. Y'all can't know this kind of stuff about me. Steve.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I've been with you for almost nineteen years. I've heard
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: a lot. Yeah, I ain't told you none of the
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: really bad stuff because I wanted you to like what. No.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I wanted you to like. Wait, there's more. Y'all wanted
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you to like Michelle. I ain't want you to hear
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: you hell back. Hell yeah, I had too because you
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: know I first met Shelley. She had the man for post.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I got to do with it. I can't look crazy whatever.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: I didn't give a damn. She trying to play me,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: but she don't know. I don't know. I always do.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Like my daddy say, what was that? Well, you know
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: I forgot. I'm gonna clean it up with His phrase
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: was don't never do do where you eat? Oh yeah,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: So all right, we gotta go. Coming up more of
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morty Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: to show. Donald Trump's threat to shut down the southern
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: border could have a major effect on the avocado supply
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: in the US. Man I love avocados, the president said
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: on Friday. There was a very good likelihood he would
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: close the border this week if Mexico did not do
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: more to stop the flow of migrants from reaching the US.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: A closure would disrupt food imports from Mexico, and the
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: CEO of Mission Produce, which is the largest distributor of avocados,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: says the US would run out of avocados in three weeks,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: five weeks. My good, fat dude, if fat, yeah, Steve
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Bernard says, you couldn't pick a worse time of year
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: because Mexico supplies virtually one hundred percent of the avocados
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: in the US. Right now. California is still starting. Well,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: California is just starting and they have a very small
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: cry Well that ain't enough. Now we over here there
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: ain't already. It's a lot of people over here, like guacamole.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: There's a lot of people over here. Like boy, they
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: got a dish at all A man, they got this
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: dish where they cut this I can't think of it's
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: a sushi spot. I think it's Oomi's Umi's in a
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: in a in Atlanta. They take our avocado, they cut
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: it in half, and they got this special lemon. They
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: seasoned it with salt, and pepper. You can see the
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: salt and pepper laying on top of the half of avocado,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: and they'd be in the skin and then they pour
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: this lemon dressing inside the avocado with a big Nutgo boy,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I like avocado. I've noticed. I like my guacamole a
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: little with a little bit of Holla pinos in it,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: though I don't like it just playing. I like my
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: guacamole thick with chip break. Yeah, I like it with
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: some with some with some guacamole chunks. Yeah, yeah, yeah, crackt. Yeah.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: I love avocados, avocados. But you know, I think you know,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: I've been watching the news and everybody's kind of admitted
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: that's been the largest influx of people crossing the border
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: illegally in the past month that it hasn't sex x
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: amount of years, and so something's going on. In course,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: the president is going to use that as the juice
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: he needs to shut the border down, but he doesn't
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: know what all that's gonna cost, because there's some people
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: who live whouldn't go to work that way every day
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: and go back and forth, you know. But yes, I
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: didn't know. Yeah, but that's the Department of Agriculture says,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: nearly half of all important vegetables come from Mexico, but
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: we ain't got none because we didn't because we didn't
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: took all the farm land from the farmers, because we
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: didn't fore clothes on all that land. We ain't growing
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: half where we used to grow. And that's and the
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: house which we add shipping to other people. And plus
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: that's why it is talked about resending the moving the
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: date forward, you know, the hour at the time. Yeah,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: because we don't do the farming we used to do.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. And the president don't care about
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: fruits and vegetables because he avocados on his birth But
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: but yeah, I think, Um, I love avocados, that's all
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: I gotta say. And I want my avocados. Yeah, I
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: love everything. I'm not really concerned about the border closing
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: calls the avocados. I mean, I know it's it's way
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: deeper than that. It most definitely is, But it affects
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: all areas in the produced industry. Yeah, you don't even
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: think of that. Who this president? Yeah, people are saying
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: he's going to get reelected. So because the Democrats are
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: blowing it right now? Yeah, all right, Look, we'll be
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: back with um more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show this is really
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: really horrific. This story and autopsy found that Nipsey Hustle
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: died from gunshot wounds to the head and torso, the
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner coroner determined. Chief
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Michael Moore of the Los Angeles Police Department note it
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Sunday night that in one week listen to this, Steve,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: there had been ten homicides and twenty six shooting victims
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: across LA. So that goes back to what you were
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: saying in our last break. That's thirty six families left
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: to pick up the pieces. That's what the chief said
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: on Twitter. And UM, I mean, you know, Steve, like
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: you said, it's got to stop. I mean, we have
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: got to stop this. We have when we're in a
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: sick place. Now we have soul turned away from God.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: And I'm just saying this. Look, man, y'all can call
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: me corny, hokey, however you want to do it. You know,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: you know it kills me when people talking about why
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: are you always talking about the Lord? Because I have
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: no explanation for my life. I have no other reason
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: I can give you why I'm in a position. I'm
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: in that because it show Ain't I'm that because I'm
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: that great. It's just not. So that's my explanation. But
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: we've turned so far from God. We have no moral
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: more composis anymore. The fact that you would walk up
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: to him, man and murder him in cold blood, and
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: then get in your car with a girl driving who who?
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: What was on her mind? What was on his mind? What? What?
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: What made them what? It didn't make any sense. And
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: when I did Deal Show last night, you know, Deal
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: Hugley's daughter is on the show, and she does this
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: thing called Millennial Minute, and she was talking about this
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: young man last night and how this album had gotten
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: her through Victory Something he put out, Yeah, Victory Lab
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: High had gotten her through some time she was going through.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: She twenty something, she deals during the same age as
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: my son, you know. And and man, she was just
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: so on fire talking about this young dude, his life
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: and what it was. Yea. And at the end of
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: the day, you know what she's saying, Oval, what right? Oval?
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: What ya? But we have such a lack of value
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: for each other and we ain't got no more no
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: more compass, and we just walking around here man, like
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: that's the answer this generation. Man. I look, man, look,
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: get back, look man, I got you gonna have disputes.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I got it's gonna get physical sometimes. Let's get physical. Though,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: what happened to that? Everybody walk away? Yeah? You know, man,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: come on over here, you got a problem? What I said,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: throw your hands up right, dog, You ain't gotta end
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: my life? Man, Yeah, that's it. There's no coming back
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: from this. I love the fact though, you know that
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: Nipsey Hustle made his life count for something. He made
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: improving South LA a priority. After his rap career took off,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: he diversified beyond the music industry. He became a local businessman,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: a philanthropist. Last year, Steve Nipsey Hustle, who taught himself
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: how to build computers, helped open a center in Crenshaw
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: dedicated to connecting underrepresented groups with technology companies, and according
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: to an interview with The La Times, Nipsey once said,
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: growing up as a kid, he was looking for someone,
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: and not for someone to give him anything, but someone
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: that cared. You know, So what a great legacy. I
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: mean you know. Yeah, it's just it's thirty three years old.
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: He was yep for the culture. Absolutely yes. All right, guys,
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: we'll be back with our last break of the day
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: and some closing remarks from Steve right after this you're
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: listening to all right, Steve, here we are last break
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: of the day. Time for your closing remarks. Surely sent
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: me something and it got me to thinking, I'm gonna
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: share with you what she sent me, but I'm gonna
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: paraphrase it, so it's more of how I talk, because
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: sometimes I get a little stumbled up and it doesn't
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: sound like me if I try to share directly with
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: somebody with somebody sent me. So I just want to
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: talk to you about it. I want to just talk
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: to you about this life of abundance that we are
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: all qualified for. I want to talk to you about
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: the life of abundance that God really wants all of
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: us to enjoy. If you're a righteous person, God will
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: give you a life of abundance. I didn't say if
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: you were a saved person, if you are a member
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: of this denomination, if you go to this church, if
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: this is your pastor, if this is your faith. I'm
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: telling you that God has a life of abundance for
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: you if you put your trust and your faith in Him.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, and you have to understand that
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: God has equipped you to have this life of abundance.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: All of you have a gift that was given to
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: you by God at birth. Everyone has one. Now you
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: may not know what it is, but you have it.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: But because you've been so bent, so determined to do
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: something to please somebody else, your mother wants you to
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: go to school and get a degree in this. Well,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: I told him I was gonna come down here and
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: get a degree in that. So now I'm gonna get
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: a degree in that where my father went to the army,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: So I'm going to the army. You there's nothing wrong
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: with the army. It's nothing wrong with going to the army.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: But if that ain't really what you were created for,
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: you find a waste a lot of time. Man, you
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: really really are because God really did equipped you for
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: a life of abundance. When he created you. He had
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: a mission in mind for you, had a mission in
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: mind for me. He gave you a gift. Your gift
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: is a thing that you do the absolute best with
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: the least amount of effort. If you identify that gift,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: that's your greatest chance. Now here's a deal. When He
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: prepared you for this life of abundance, and he gave
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: you everything you needed to put on every day and
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: go out and make your dreams and your life come true.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: If you put if you become passionate about your gift,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: you can be on your way to making your life happening,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: in your dreams come true. He gives you everything you
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: need to wear to go out and fight it. But
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: what we do is we suit up, We suit up,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: and we settle in. Well I got this job now,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: well out of our four years away from getting this
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: another degree, I might as well go here. Well I
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: got a promotion, now I might as well stay on here,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: well out of starredy start invested in my four one K.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: So you suit up, but you settle in, and then
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: you know what you do. What we often do and
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: I did it myself for a while, we resign ourselves
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: to living a mediocre life because we won't suit up
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: and go out here and do what God want us
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: to do. So here's what I'm saying to you. If
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: God then gave you all the Scooper gear, equipment you need.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: He didn't gave you the apps, the mask, the flippers,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: the nozzles, the hoses or as supply. Don't put all
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: this stuff up on and then head to the bathtub.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: What you're doing, you're settling in. Head out to the ocean.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Get out in that ocean of opportunity. Get out there
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: where in some of that deep water. Go out there
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: where God has equipped you to go. Who He then
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: suited you up. He gave you everything you need, But
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: we want to go get in the bathtub where it's safe. Look, man,
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: all of you have the gear to win, the gear
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: to have an abundant life, the gear to be prosperous,
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: the gear to be happy. You have the gear you
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: bought to get out. You got to get out that
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: bathtub and go out there in that ocean, out in
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: that deep water, because out in the ocean is the opportunity.
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Ain't no opportunities in the bathtub. You got to go
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: out there in that ocean of opportunity and experience all
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: the God got for you. Some of it. You gonna
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: get tested. You're gonna feel like you're going down. You're
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: gonna get a sinking feeling, but you're gonna be fine.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: You know why, because you got to give. You have
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: what it takes, you got to give. It's up to
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: you to jump in. If you don't ever jump in
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: the ocean, you ain't gonna really know if you can
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: handle deep water or not. I got you scared of
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: the deep water. I got sometime that deep water look
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: rough out there. I know you've seen some purpose people
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: try to acquire fame and prosperity and happiness and go
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: out on their own. And I know you've seen him
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: out that sinking in the water look rough. So now
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: you want to stay over here in the bathtub. Ain't
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: no opportunities in the bathtub. All your opportunities out there
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: in the ocean. There's just some show talks out there. Yeah,
