Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / House Dems Unhinged Over Censure of Rashida Tlaib
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Last night in the House of Representatives. It was a
- 0:04Speaker 1: late night. Why because the House was censuring Rashid to
- 0:10Speaker 1: leave for her anti Semitic, bigoted, and pro Hamas comments,
- 0:15Speaker 1: saying that she wants to wipe Israel off the map.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I told you this was gonna happen. They were going
- 0:21Speaker 2: to let Israel have a few.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Weeks to do what they need to do, but then
- 0:25Speaker 1: after that they would turn on Israel exactly what I
- 0:28Speaker 1: told you was gonna happen, and then they would start
- 0:31Speaker 1: to treat Israel like they are the bad guys, even
- 0:34Speaker 1: though it was Israel that was attacked. I want to
- 0:37Speaker 1: play for you what they said about Rashid to leave first,
- 0:41Speaker 1: take a listen.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Overnight the House folded a central representative Rashida to leave
- 0:45Speaker 3: for incendiary comments she's made about Israel in the October
- 0:47Speaker 3: seventh attack by Hamas. Only two dozen Democrats join Republicans
- 0:51Speaker 3: interview in the only Palestinian American in Congress, Senior National Course.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Pond Aitara Moran has the details.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Good morning, Terry, Good morning George. Dramatic and emotional scenes
- 1:00Speaker 4: the floor of the House of Representatives for just the
- 1:02Speaker 4: twenty fifth time in American history. The House voted to
- 1:05Speaker 4: formally censure one of its own members, representative Wherehida Talib,
- 1:09Speaker 4: Democrat of Michigan, stood accused, in the words of the
- 1:12Speaker 4: Center motion, of quote promoting false narratives about Hamas attack
- 1:15Speaker 4: on Israel on October seventh, and of quote calling for
- 1:19Speaker 4: the destruction of the state of Israel. Twenty two Democrats
- 1:23Speaker 4: voted for the Center motion for Republicans voted against it,
- 1:27Speaker 4: and the resolution focused on a social media post that
- 1:29Speaker 4: Talib had made, calling accusing President Biden of quote genocide
- 1:34Speaker 4: and including a video with the chant palace from the
- 1:38Speaker 4: river to the sea, Palestine will be free, a rallying
- 1:41Speaker 4: cry that AMAS uses that expresses its desire for the
- 1:44Speaker 4: eradication of the Jewish state of Israel. Talib defended herself
- 1:48Speaker 4: on the floor of the House in an impassioned speech.
- 1:51Speaker 4: She said to her that phrase represented quote an aspirational
- 1:55Speaker 4: call for freedom, for human rights and peaceful coexistence, and
- 1:59Speaker 4: she neared as she declared, Palestinian people are not disposable.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Resolution of censure is a condemnation, a formal rebuke. It
- 2:08Speaker 4: will have no practical effect on her ability to do
- 2:11Speaker 4: her job, but it is now part of the record
- 2:14Speaker 4: and the history of the Congress of the United.
- 2:16Speaker 1: States, Rashid Tuley, by the way, and her trying to
- 2:20Speaker 1: act like what she said from the River to the Sea,
- 2:23Speaker 1: eradicating Jews, advocating and this is what Hamas says.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Hamas says it, and then she's trying to sugarcat it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Oh, no, I don't really mean it the same way
- 2:31Speaker 1: that Hamas says exactly what I'm saying.
- 2:34Speaker 2: She means exactly what she's saying.
- 2:37Speaker 1: She knows what she's saying, she knows why she's saying it.
- 2:43Speaker 1: She's saying it because she wants to get rid of
- 2:45Speaker 1: every Jewish person period. That's not all her defenders. The
- 2:52Speaker 1: squad came out in full force. The squad representative alam
- 2:57Speaker 1: Omar had this to say on the censor of her squad.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Friend listened to how angry she was.
- 3:03Speaker 5: What is true here is that every single one of
- 3:07Speaker 5: them has.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Not acknowledged the fact that Palestinians are dying in.
- 3:11Speaker 5: The tens of thousands.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But we'll continue to say.
- 3:15Speaker 5: It is us who are not acknowledging humanity. Was Sheita
- 3:19Speaker 5: will stands true.
- 3:20Speaker 2: General Lady's time has expired. Movement will continue for liberation
- 3:25Speaker 2: until every general lady's time has expired. That's the right
- 3:29Speaker 2: gentleman from Maryland is recognized.
- 3:31Speaker 1: That's who her friends are. That's what they're acting like. Uh,
- 3:35Speaker 1: this is in our US Congress.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:38Speaker 1: The House voted to censure rashi to leeb twenty two Democrats.
- 3:42Speaker 2: And I want to be clear about this.
- 3:44Speaker 1: These twenty two Democrats that voted in favor of this,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I am proud of them for putting politics behind doing
- 3:56Speaker 1: the right thing. The other Democrats that refuse to condemn her,
- 4:02Speaker 1: that just tells you exactly what you should expect from
- 4:06Speaker 1: these lefties, right, these absurd radicals that hate Israelis, they hate.
- 4:14Speaker 2: The Jews, they hate the Jews.
- 4:20Speaker 1: You listen to what Rashid Talib said, and what she
- 4:24Speaker 1: said on the floor of the House was to me
- 4:29Speaker 1: one of the scariest things that the Democratic Party even
- 4:32Speaker 1: allows her to get elected because she is elected, right,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I mean, she is elected Representative. Corey Bush came out
- 4:44Speaker 1: said a lot of nasty things. I'm going to let
- 4:46Speaker 1: you hear that, but I'm also going to let you
- 4:48Speaker 1: hear Rashid Talib where she started crying. Now to be clear,
- 4:52Speaker 1: she was crying not for the Jews that were innotantly killed,
- 4:56Speaker 1: not for the babies that were baked in ovens, not
- 4:59Speaker 1: for the babies were found with knives in their chests,
- 5:02Speaker 1: not for the women that have been drug out and raped.
- 5:05Speaker 1: And the prisoners are not prisoners the hostages that they
- 5:10Speaker 1: have taken. Right now, if you want to cease fire,
- 5:12Speaker 1: by the way, ceasefire is very simple. Israeli Prime mister Benjaminta,
- 5:16Speaker 1: who has said very clearly that if you want a
- 5:19Speaker 1: cease fire, no problem, release the hostages. If you care
- 5:23Speaker 1: about the Palestinian people around you, release the hostages, and
- 5:27Speaker 1: we will give you a cease fire if you do
- 5:30Speaker 1: so for humanitarian reasons. But if you're not going to
- 5:34Speaker 1: give us those hostages back, we are not going to
- 5:36Speaker 1: give you to cease fire that you want. We will
- 5:40Speaker 1: continue to come after you as terrorists. The House has
- 5:45Speaker 1: censored Rashid to leave Representative Rashid to leave censored officially
- 5:50Speaker 1: buy the house for her anti Semitic comments. This is
- 5:54Speaker 1: something that there is at least twenty two Democrats that
- 5:57Speaker 1: said yes to this, Thank goodness they did. There was
- 6:00Speaker 1: a lot of others that were cowards. That's the only
- 6:02Speaker 1: way I can put it who refused to do this. Progressives,
- 6:07Speaker 1: by the way, holding nothing back as they defended Rashid
- 6:10Speaker 1: t Lee last night. I want you to hear what
- 6:13Speaker 1: Rashid t Lee had to say for the floor, explaining
- 6:17Speaker 1: that she's okay with how.
- 6:20Speaker 6: I'm the only Palestinian American serving in Congress, mister charr
- 6:23Speaker 6: and my perspective is needed here now more than ever.
- 6:27Speaker 6: I will not be silenced and I will not let
- 6:29Speaker 6: you destoryt my words. Folks forget I'm from the city
- 6:32Speaker 6: of Detroit, the most beautiful, blackest city in the country,
- 6:35Speaker 6: where I learned to speak truth to power even if
- 6:37Speaker 6: my voice shakes, Trying to bully or censor me won't work,
- 6:42Speaker 6: because this movement for a ceasefire is much bigger than
- 6:46Speaker 6: one person. It's growing every single day. There are millions
- 6:50Speaker 6: of people across our country who oppose Netanya Who's extremism
- 6:54Speaker 6: and are done watching our government support collective punishment and
- 6:57Speaker 6: the use of white phosphorus bombs that melt flush to
- 6:59Speaker 6: the bone.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This is a woman who just said that the Prime
- 7:04Speaker 1: Minister of Israel's an extremists for defending his people from
- 7:07Speaker 1: a terrorist organization that beheaded and burned.
- 7:10Speaker 2: To death in ovens, babies.
- 7:14Speaker 1: They would grab women and they would say this woman
- 7:16Speaker 1: is for rape, and they would grab another woman. They'd say,
- 7:21Speaker 1: this woman's for hostage. So many of the Israelis that
- 7:24Speaker 1: were taken, they were just taken for rape, and they
- 7:27Speaker 1: would rape them as much as they wanted to, and
- 7:29Speaker 1: then they would kill them. And then they would take
- 7:32Speaker 1: other women for hostage and they would rape them as
- 7:34Speaker 1: much as they want to still to this day, raping
- 7:36Speaker 1: them now, beating them, torturing them, and then what will
- 7:39Speaker 1: they do. They'll probably eventually kill them. She just said
- 7:43Speaker 1: that he is the extremists. She also described bombs white phosphorus,
- 7:48Speaker 1: burning the flesh.
- 7:50Speaker 2: They burn people alive. Israelis.
- 7:53Speaker 1: They remember, there's tires that have been put around them,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and they were burned for sport to maximize the torture
- 8:00Speaker 1: of the Israelis.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Hamas did that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: She says that the bombs being dropped by Israel are
- 8:07Speaker 1: somehow the most horrific and evil ones. Ever, there's a
- 8:11Speaker 1: problem with that. They wouldn't be dropping these bombs right
- 8:14Speaker 1: now at all. They wouldn't be dropping them if they
- 8:18Speaker 1: wouldn't have been attacked by a terrorist organization. Yet the Democrats.
- 8:24Speaker 1: More than one hundred voted with her.
- 8:26Speaker 6: Listen, they are done watching our government, mister chair, supporting
- 8:29Speaker 6: cutting off food, water, electricity, and medical care to millions
- 8:33Speaker 6: of people with nowhere to go. Like me, mister Chair,
- 8:37Speaker 6: they don't believe the answer to war crimes is more
- 8:39Speaker 6: war crimes. The refusal of Congress and the administration to
- 8:43Speaker 6: acknowledge Palestinian lives is chipping at way at my soul.
- 8:46Speaker 6: Over ten thousand Palestinians have been killed, majority majority were children.
- 8:52Speaker 6: But let me be clear, my criticism has always been
- 8:55Speaker 6: of the Israeli.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Let's just pause there.
- 8:58Speaker 1: She just said the majority of the people are killed,
- 9:01Speaker 1: as she described it, The majority of the people that
- 9:03Speaker 1: are killed, she says, we're children. Who did she get
- 9:07Speaker 1: those numbers from the Ministry in Palestine of Health, The
- 9:12Speaker 1: same ministry of health that lied, straight up lied and
- 9:17Speaker 1: set to be clear that Israel bombed their hospital, which
- 9:22Speaker 1: never happened. And he knew when he was saying that
- 9:24Speaker 1: lie that it didn't happen. He knew when he was
- 9:28Speaker 1: saying that lie that that was nothing but propaganda, because
- 9:33Speaker 1: he knew the rocket that went into the parking lot,
- 9:35Speaker 1: not even the hospital. The parking lot was a rocket
- 9:38Speaker 1: shot by Hamas, a rocket that misfired, plain and simple,
- 9:45Speaker 1: a rocket that misfired, and that rocket misfired, and then
- 9:50Speaker 1: they said, all right, let's blame Israel. So her numbers
- 9:53Speaker 1: of how many people just died are coming from the
- 9:55Speaker 1: same evil terrorists that put that lie to the world
- 10:00Speaker 1: to try to get people to hate Israel.
- 10:02Speaker 2: She's not done with her propaganda.
- 10:05Speaker 6: Keep listening government in nettin Yahoo's actions. It is important
- 10:09Speaker 6: to separate people in governments, mister Chair. No government is
- 10:12Speaker 6: beyond criticism. The idea that criticizing the government of Israel
- 10:17Speaker 6: is anti Semitic sense a very dangerous precedent, and it's
- 10:20Speaker 6: being used to silence diverse voices speaking up for human
- 10:23Speaker 6: rights across our nation. Do you realize what it's like,
- 10:26Speaker 6: mister Chair, for the people outside the chamber right now
- 10:30Speaker 6: listening in agony to their own government dehumanizing them. To
- 10:33Speaker 6: hear the president of the United States we helped elect
- 10:36Speaker 6: dispute death tolls as we see video after video of
- 10:39Speaker 6: dead children and parents under rubble, mister chair, do you
- 10:42Speaker 6: know what it's like to fear rising hate crimes? To
- 10:45Speaker 6: know how Islamophobia and anti Semitism makes us all less
- 10:48Speaker 6: safe and worry that your own child might suffer the
- 10:51Speaker 6: horrors that six year old Wadia did in Illinois. I
- 10:55Speaker 6: can't believe I have to say this, but Palestinian people
- 10:59Speaker 6: are not disposed.
- 11:01Speaker 1: By the way I agree with her. Palisian people are
- 11:04Speaker 1: not disposable. So stop partnering with Terrists, stop allowing Terris
- 11:09Speaker 1: to live in your building, stop allowing Terras to be
- 11:11Speaker 1: your government, Stop making deals with the devil with hamas,
- 11:16Speaker 1: and stand up and fight against them, because this is
- 11:19Speaker 1: what's going to happen. And by the way, it's going
- 11:21Speaker 1: to happen every single time. Okay, it's going to happen
- 11:24Speaker 1: every time when you make the deal with the devil
- 11:27Speaker 1: and you have a terrorist organization that doesn't care if
- 11:30Speaker 1: you die and is willing to shoot rockets and kill
- 11:33Speaker 1: innocent Palestinians every time they try to shoot a rocket
- 11:35Speaker 1: at Israel. Thirty to forty percent of the rockets that
- 11:39Speaker 1: are shot at Israel fall on Palestinians because these rockets
- 11:44Speaker 1: are shooting are just basically filled with enough gas to say, okay,
- 11:47Speaker 1: that'll hit somewhere, enough fuel to say that'll hit somewhere.
- 11:51Speaker 1: In Israel and hopefully kill innocent people in Israel. That's
- 11:54Speaker 1: the only thing they want to do. They just want
- 11:57Speaker 1: to kill Israelis, that's all. They just want to kill Israelis.
- 12:01Speaker 1: They don't care. If it's women, they don't care. If
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's children, they don't care. If it's they, they don't care.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Who it is, they don't care, if it's seniors, don't care.
- 12:08Speaker 1: If it hits the hospital, they don't care. They just
- 12:11Speaker 1: want to kill people. That's all they want to do.
- 12:15Speaker 1: They just want to murder anyone that is a Jew.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And she says, they're like, hey, this shouldn't be happening,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and this is something that's wrong. And look, I would
- 12:25Speaker 1: love that there is no one dying right now, but
- 12:28Speaker 1: we wouldn't be having this conversation right now if the
- 12:30Speaker 1: people in Palestine would have stood up and defended innocent
- 12:33Speaker 1: lives that are dying among them and the attacks on Israel.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And that is the part that people need to understand.
- 12:43Speaker 1: And yet she's sitting there on the floor of the
- 12:45Speaker 1: house crying, and then her squad members have to get
- 12:49Speaker 1: up and come around her. Here they come, we.
- 12:53Speaker 6: Are human beings, just like anyone else. My city, my grandmother,
- 13:01Speaker 6: like all Palestinians, just wants to live her life with
- 13:05Speaker 6: freedom and human dignity. We all deserve speaking up to
- 13:10Speaker 6: save lives, Mister Chair. No matter faith, no matter ethnicity,
- 13:13Speaker 6: should not be controversial in this chamber. The cries of
- 13:17Speaker 6: the Palestinian and Palestinian and Israeli children sound no different
- 13:21Speaker 6: to me. Why what I don't understand is why the
- 13:26Speaker 6: cries of Palestinians sound different to you all. We cannot
- 13:30Speaker 6: lose our shared humanity, Mister Chair. I hear the voices
- 13:35Speaker 6: of advocates in Israel, in Palestine, across America and around
- 13:39Speaker 6: the world for peace. I am inspired by their courageous
- 13:43Speaker 6: the courageous survivors in Israel who have lost loved ones
- 13:46Speaker 6: yet are calling for a ceasefire and the end to violence.
- 13:50Speaker 6: I am grateful to the people in the streets for
- 13:54Speaker 6: the peace movement, with countless Jewish Americans across the country
- 13:58Speaker 6: standing up in lovely saying not in our name, we
- 14:03Speaker 6: will continue to call for a ceasefire, mister Chair, for
- 14:06Speaker 6: the immediate delivery of critical manitarian aid to Gaza, for
- 14:09Speaker 6: the release of all hostages and those arbitrarily detained, and
- 14:12Speaker 6: for every American to come home. We will continue to
- 14:16Speaker 6: work for real, lasting peace that upholds human rights and
- 14:18Speaker 6: dignity of all people in centers and peaceful coexistence between
- 14:23Speaker 6: Israelis and Palestinians, and censures no one, no no one,
- 14:28Speaker 6: and ensures that no person, no child has to suffer
- 14:31Speaker 6: a live and fear of violence. Seventy one percent of
- 14:35Speaker 6: Michigan Democrats support a ceasefire. So you can try to
- 14:39Speaker 6: censor me, but you can't silence their voices. I urge
- 14:43Speaker 6: my colleagues to join with the majority of Americans and
- 14:46Speaker 6: support a ceasefire now to save as many lives as possible.
- 14:50Speaker 6: President Biden must listen to and represent all of us,
- 14:54Speaker 6: not just some of us. I urge the President to
- 14:57Speaker 6: have the courage to call for a ceasefire and the
- 14:59Speaker 6: end of killings.
- 15:01Speaker 1: By the way, you notice she doesn't say anything about
- 15:04Speaker 1: the senior citizen that was killed in America that just
- 15:07Speaker 1: because he was Jewish a couple of days ago, caught
- 15:09Speaker 1: on camera by Palestinian protesters. You noticed she doesn't talk
- 15:13Speaker 1: anything about the kids that were brutally murdered in Israel.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You know, she doesn't call out Hamas. Not one time
- 15:18Speaker 1: did she call out Hamas, the terrorist group. She says,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I'm a Palestinian American right. Not one time did she
- 15:25Speaker 1: condemn Hamas for their attacks. Not one time did she
- 15:29Speaker 1: say I condemn Hamas. This is the same woman in
- 15:32Speaker 1: the hall that refused to condemn refused to condemn the
- 15:37Speaker 1: attacks on the children. She was asked in the hallway
- 15:40Speaker 1: by countless journalists, hey, will you will you condemn the
- 15:45Speaker 1: beheading of children? She refused to do that as well,
- 15:49Speaker 1: will not do it. We are learning more this morning
- 15:54Speaker 1: about the shocking news that the AP, CNN and Reuters
- 15:59Speaker 1: had journalists embedded with Hamas on the day of the attack.
- 16:04Speaker 1: They knew in advance what was coming. They knew that
- 16:07Speaker 1: they were being embedded with terrorists. They knew what was
- 16:10Speaker 1: going to happen when they were embedded. It is important
- 16:14Speaker 1: to expose that these photographers working for the Associated Press, CNN,
- 16:19Speaker 1: New York Times and Reuters were embedded keyword embedded.
- 16:22Speaker 2: They didn't react to the attack.
- 16:24Speaker 1: They were embedded before the attack happened and accompany the
- 16:28Speaker 1: terrorist group into Israel. They knew the attack was coming
- 16:34Speaker 1: and they participated in it. The AP shared an office
- 16:39Speaker 1: building just so you know, with Hamas in Gaza. You
- 16:44Speaker 1: also need to know that and the idea that they
- 16:47Speaker 1: didn't know this they're lying to you. Let me give
- 16:50Speaker 1: you some of the background about this medium. The AP
- 16:53Speaker 1: is supposed to be, you know, the best, right, Like,
- 16:57Speaker 1: that's what I've been told over and over again. Oh
- 16:59Speaker 1: they're the best, They're they're the best ones that they
- 17:02Speaker 1: just they got it all, okay, AP Hamas. It is
- 17:10Speaker 1: shocking to know that the Associated Press, and they're taking
- 17:14Speaker 1: heat for claiming it had no idea how MAAS militants
- 17:17Speaker 1: operate in the news agency's guys A headquarters destroyed by
- 17:20Speaker 1: an Israeli airstrike. A US Secretary of State Anthony Blincoln
- 17:24Speaker 1: said he had seen no evidence presented by Israel of
- 17:27Speaker 1: the group's presence in the building. Now, this is a
- 17:30Speaker 1: headline that I'm reading from you back in May of
- 17:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty one.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Quote.
- 17:36Speaker 1: We have no indication Amassas in the building are active
- 17:39Speaker 1: in the building, the AP president said in the statement.
- 17:41Speaker 1: This is something we actively checked to the best of
- 17:43Speaker 1: our ability. We would never knowingly put our journalists at risk.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Guess who was embedded with Hamas AP. If you go
- 17:52Speaker 1: back to these lives in the Associated Press from twenty
- 17:54Speaker 1: twenty one, He said he was shocked and horrified that
- 17:57Speaker 1: the Israeli military would target and destroy the building housing
- 18:00Speaker 1: AP's bureau and other news organizations in Gaza. But in
- 18:04Speaker 1: a twenty fourteen article in The Atlantic written by a
- 18:07Speaker 1: journalist in the region describing a history between the news
- 18:10Speaker 1: agency and Hamas, and critics took to social media to
- 18:13Speaker 1: cast doubt on that assertion that they didn't know at
- 18:17Speaker 1: AP didn't know about sharing a building with Hamas for
- 18:20Speaker 1: fifteen years. Question mark is what one producer of the
- 18:23Speaker 1: documentary Open Secrets put out there. Noah Pollock, a contributor
- 18:28Speaker 1: for The Free Beacon, sending a tweak, spoke to a
- 18:32Speaker 1: well placed friend in the IDF just now the bomb
- 18:35Speaker 1: AP office building contained multiple Hamas operations and offices, including
- 18:40Speaker 1: weapons manufacturing and military intelligence. The building also housed an
- 18:45Speaker 1: Islamic Jihat office, and AP's local reporters knew about it
- 18:49Speaker 1: quote unquote. Another user wrote that the AP wrote about
- 18:53Speaker 1: the AP's claim, it says doesn't say much for their
- 18:56Speaker 1: reporting abilities if they missed a Hamas staging off us
- 19:00Speaker 1: a floor away for fifteen years, the terrorists were in
- 19:05Speaker 1: the same office building that they are in Meanwhile, Anthony
- 19:08Speaker 1: Blincoln said at a news conference in Copenhagen two days
- 19:11Speaker 1: after the Israeli strike, again, this was I want to
- 19:14Speaker 1: be clear, two years ago that destroyed this tower, which
- 19:17Speaker 1: housed multiple news outlets, including the AP, saying quote shortly
- 19:21Speaker 1: after the strike, we did request additional details regarding the
- 19:24Speaker 1: justification for the strike, Blincoln said, We'll leave it to
- 19:28Speaker 1: others to characterize if any information has been shared and
- 19:31Speaker 1: our assessment assessment of that information. He added, I have
- 19:35Speaker 1: not seen any information provided. Israelis said it shared smoking
- 19:39Speaker 1: gun evidence of the Biden administration officials that Hamas was
- 19:42Speaker 1: operating out of that building. The strike destroyed the twelve
- 19:45Speaker 1: story building an hour after the Israeli military ordered that
- 19:48Speaker 1: that building be evacuated, saying the high rise was targeted
- 19:51Speaker 1: because it was being used by Hamas's military intelligence.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So they didn't kill innos some people.
- 19:56Speaker 1: They told everybody, including the terrorists, to get out, and
- 19:58Speaker 1: then they destroyed the building.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Seems pretty nice to me.
- 20:03Speaker 1: As to whether the AP was aware of Hamas's involvement
- 20:06Speaker 1: in the building, Matti Friedman wrote in his twenty fourteen
- 20:10Speaker 1: Atlanta Peace quote, and this is in fourteen because remember
- 20:13Speaker 1: they shared the same building for fifteen years with Hamas.
- 20:16Speaker 1: When AMA's leaders surveyed their assets before this summer's round
- 20:20Speaker 1: of fighting, they knew that among those assets was the
- 20:22Speaker 1: International Press. The AP staff in Gaza City would witness
- 20:27Speaker 1: a rocket launch right beside their office, endangering reporters and
- 20:32Speaker 1: other civilians nearby, and the AP wouldn't report it. That
- 20:37Speaker 1: was reported and written in twenty fourteen. Friedman claimed that
- 20:42Speaker 1: Hamas militants would regularly burst into the APIs Gaza bureau
- 20:45Speaker 1: and threatened the staff, and the AP wouldn't report it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Associated Press Executive editor Sally Busby, who said the wire
- 20:54Speaker 1: service has had offices in the tower for fifteen years
- 20:58Speaker 1: and was never informed or had any indication that Hamas
- 21:00Speaker 1: might be in the building, called for an quote independent
- 21:03Speaker 1: investigation into the air strike, saying the Israeli government has
- 21:06Speaker 1: yet to provide clear evidence supporting their attack. Really, we
- 21:10Speaker 1: are in a conflict conflict situation, Busby said, we do
- 21:14Speaker 1: not take the sides in that conflict. We heard Israeli's
- 21:19Speaker 1: say they have evidence, we don't know what that evidence is.
- 21:22Speaker 1: We think it's appropriate at this point for there to
- 21:25Speaker 1: be an independent look at what happened yesterday an independent investigation. Separately,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Paris based media watchdog Reporters Without Borders asked the International
- 21:33Speaker 1: Criminal Court to investigate Israel's attack on as a possible
- 21:37Speaker 1: war crime. I love how quick these people side with
- 21:41Speaker 1: the terrorists. The group, known by its French acronym RSF,
- 21:46Speaker 1: said it had strong reasonab believe that the IDF's intentional
- 21:49Speaker 1: targeting of media organizations and intentional destruction of their equipment
- 21:53Speaker 1: could violate one of the court's statues. It said Israel's
- 21:57Speaker 1: actions serve to reduce, if not neutralized, the media's capacity
- 22:00Speaker 1: to inform the public. The same media that wants you
- 22:03Speaker 1: to believe they didn't know for fifteen years they were
- 22:04Speaker 1: sharing office space with a terrorist organization, and then you
- 22:09Speaker 1: fast forward to now what we know and those same
- 22:12Speaker 1: news organizations had their photographers embedded with the terrorist organization,
- 22:18Speaker 1: and then they were there while the trocities were taking place.
- 22:24Speaker 1: These people in the media are not journalists, their propagandists.
- 22:29Speaker 2: They are scumbags.
- 22:32Speaker 1: The fact that this many news outlets, AP, CNN, The
- 22:39Speaker 1: New York Times and Reuters all had embedded photo journalists
- 22:44Speaker 1: with hamas before the attacks took place. They knew the
- 22:47Speaker 1: attack was happening, They could tell what was going on,
- 22:49Speaker 1: and they rode into battle with them. And then they
- 22:52Speaker 1: knew that they were watching atrocites happen, and they were
- 22:56Speaker 1: taking pictures and letting it happen without warning innocent people
- 23:01Speaker 1: that this was coming down.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Is disgusting.
- 23:05Speaker 1: These photo journalists were friends with the terrorists and they
- 23:08Speaker 1: watch them go door to door, drag people out and
- 23:11Speaker 1: kill them, and they took pictures for sport. When I
- 23:15Speaker 1: say I don't trust the media and the liberal media,
- 23:20Speaker 1: that's out the door now. I don't trust the terrorist media.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I don't trust the terrorist sympathizers in our media. I
- 23:27Speaker 1: don't trust CNNAP or any of these organizations after what
- 23:32Speaker 1: we now know. Ever, again, because they're refusing to admit
- 23:36Speaker 1: that they knew this, they're now walking away from it,
- 23:39Speaker 1: but they're acting like it didn't really happen. They're not
- 23:42Speaker 1: angry over it because they sanctioned it. They can't be
- 23:45Speaker 1: angry over it because they sanctioned it. That's the problem here.
- 23:49Speaker 1: The Representative Corey Bush coming out and saying that it
- 23:54Speaker 1: is time for Israel to relinquish it's right to self defense. Yes,
- 24:00Speaker 1: if you can't defend yourself anymore if you're Israel. This
- 24:02Speaker 1: is what she had to say at an event on
- 24:05Speaker 1: Capitol Hill.
- 24:06Speaker 5: I remember being on the ground during the Ferguson uprising,
- 24:11Speaker 5: and I remember not knowing what to do with tear gas.
- 24:15Speaker 5: The tear gas was hitting us, and didn't know what
- 24:18Speaker 5: to do. And I remember one day at Palatine, a
- 24:22Speaker 5: delegation of folks from Palestine showed up and taught.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Us what to do.
- 24:28Speaker 5: And then from there I knew how to survive the
- 24:31Speaker 5: next day with all of the tear gas. But one
- 24:33Speaker 5: thing that I saw rubber bullets flying, there were dogs
- 24:37Speaker 5: and all of the things that were happening. But if
- 24:40Speaker 5: I just traveled a mile away, there was no tear gas.
- 24:46Speaker 5: There was none of this happening, and it was just
- 24:49Speaker 5: like people going on with their day. Well, that's what's
- 24:51Speaker 5: happening right now.
- 24:53Speaker 2: That's what's happening right now.
- 24:54Speaker 1: That is your Democratic Party, and everybody should remember this
- 24:58Speaker 1: is your Democratic Party.
- 25:01Speaker 2: That's what they're talking about.
- 25:02Speaker 1: By the way, you want to know how bad things
- 25:04Speaker 1: are in this country economically right now, Well, NBC News
- 25:09Speaker 1: just had this report on our economy and what's happening
- 25:13Speaker 1: with debt.
- 25:14Speaker 4: The new data shows Americans are digging themselves deeper into
- 25:17Speaker 4: credit card debt, which is now hitting an all time.
- 25:20Speaker 6: High for the first time ever.
- 25:21Speaker 7: The total credit card debt across the US has topped.
- 25:23Speaker 5: One trillion dollars.
- 25:25Speaker 6: That's a one hundred and fifty four billion dollar spike
- 25:29Speaker 6: from this time last year and the largest increase in
- 25:31Speaker 6: more than two decade.
- 25:32Speaker 1: One trillion dollars in credit card debt is now what
- 25:37Speaker 1: we have in this country, one trillion dollars. What's the
- 25:42Speaker 1: President saying about this, Well, he's lying to you. Yesterday
- 25:47Speaker 1: he had a speech. His speech was about what's going
- 25:50Speaker 1: on with our economy, and here's what the President said
- 25:53Speaker 1: about how great things actually are. As he lies to you.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I'll give you the data, but first listen to what
- 25:58Speaker 1: he says.
- 26:00Speaker 7: Wages are actually going up, not just in your industry,
- 26:02Speaker 7: but wages are going up. It's a fancy way of
- 26:05Speaker 7: saying his median household wealth has grown by thirty seven
- 26:10Speaker 7: percent since the pandemic, meaning people are better off thirty
- 26:13Speaker 7: seven percent better off.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You feeling that if that is true, then why is
- 26:18Speaker 1: there a trillion dollars in credit card debt? Biden just
- 26:24Speaker 1: bragged and lied that wages are actually going up. In
- 26:26Speaker 1: household wealth has grown by thirty seven percent, real wages
- 26:31Speaker 1: are actually down three point two percent since Biden took office.
- 26:35Speaker 1: As inflation has skyrocketed. Middle class households have lost on
- 26:40Speaker 1: average more than thirty three thousand dollars in real wealth
- 26:45Speaker 1: in the past year alone due to rising prices. This
- 26:51Speaker 1: is the President of the United States of America, just
- 26:54Speaker 1: straight up lying it to you. And if you think
- 26:56Speaker 1: he is cognizant of what he's saying, I'm not sure
- 26:59Speaker 1: he is. Here's another example of a normal Biden speech
- 27:03Speaker 1: in Illinois yesterday to.
- 27:04Speaker 7: Ask, okay, I want the press to know that wasn't me.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Joe Biden taking a shot himself after a thump in
- 27:25Speaker 1: the audience. Biden, who trips, stumbles and falls so often
- 27:28Speaker 1: this team has taken proactive steps to limit his exposure
- 27:32Speaker 1: with an actual White House memo talking about it. Now,
- 27:36Speaker 1: he jokes with the press about falling over, saying it's
- 27:39Speaker 1: you know, it wasn't me this time. Joe Biden also
- 27:43Speaker 1: started randomly screaming in the middle of his speech as well.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And here's what he said.
- 27:48Speaker 7: I watched it before I watched it as a kid.
- 27:51Speaker 7: I watched it as a senator. I watch what happened
- 27:54Speaker 7: in my community. It changed everything.
- 27:59Speaker 1: There's his ran him yelling, just random, I watch what happened.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Biden also required some assistance because he struggled to put
- 28:07Speaker 1: on a T shirt he was given before his speech.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Literally trying to put the T shirt on. It took
- 28:12Speaker 1: twenty five seconds. It's the basic T shirt, didn't have
- 28:15Speaker 1: any buttons. We're talking like a pull over your head,
- 28:18Speaker 1: normal T shirt. He couldn't do it. He couldn't pull
- 28:22Speaker 1: it down, and he had a man that had to
- 28:24Speaker 1: come help him on stage put a T shirt on.
- 28:29Speaker 1: This is the President of the United States of America.
- 28:33Speaker 1: If you think it's any better with our Vice president
- 28:36Speaker 1: Kamala Harris at the same time doing another event in Boston.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Here's what she was talking about.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Thank It's always important to ask, to look around the
- 28:44Speaker 8: room and then ask who's not in the room, and
- 28:48Speaker 8: then figure out how to bring them in. And often,
- 28:52Speaker 8: and all of the leaders here know often is not
- 28:56Speaker 8: just because you might leave the door open.
- 28:59Speaker 2: That's not enough.
- 29:01Speaker 9: You got to go out to where folks are literally
- 29:05Speaker 9: where they are be it, where they are geographically or
- 29:09Speaker 9: where they are in terms of what they're bringing in
- 29:12Speaker 9: terms of life experience to the moment to be able
- 29:15Speaker 9: to connect with them and bring them in.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'm convinced that they let her talk more now, because
- 29:23Speaker 1: then when you hear her talk, you're like, Okay, maybe
- 29:27Speaker 1: Joe Biden really isn't that bad after all.
- 29:31Speaker 9: Wells, I got some words, I got the vocabulary, and
- 29:37Speaker 9: my pronunciation is perfect.
- 29:42Speaker 1: That is your Vice President of the United States of America.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Biden successfully navigated the Big Stairs after arriving in Chicago.
- 29:50Speaker 1: He hasn't used those stairs in a long time. He
- 29:52Speaker 1: paused halfway down, took his hands off the rail to
- 29:57Speaker 1: apparently show that he can still walk down the b
- 30:00Speaker 1: big stairs. He's been using the little stairs out of
- 30:03Speaker 1: Air Force one. But he literally stopped halfway and looked
- 30:06Speaker 1: at the press like, Hey, look how great it is.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm walking downstairs the big stairs like I'm putting on
- 30:15Speaker 1: my big kid pants. Biden, who is also responsible for
- 30:19Speaker 1: the worst border crisis in American history, said this about
- 30:23Speaker 1: our border issues right now with Congress.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I think that we ought to be.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Able to combine training and really love to be able,
- 30:32Speaker 7: and I'm hoping we're discussion about the boarder, and I've
- 30:36Speaker 7: already made some proposent, so there was no need friend
- 30:39Speaker 7: of it.
- 30:40Speaker 2: There's no need for any of this.
- 30:41Speaker 1: He's wanting to combine the man from Congress by combining
- 30:45Speaker 1: Ukraine and Israel funding, and then he might give you
- 30:49Speaker 1: some money for border security. Makes you share this podcast
- 30:53Speaker 1: with your family and your friends, and I'll see you
- 30:55Speaker 1: back here tomorrow
