- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz, we can review
- 0:04Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you, and here are the three major
- 0:06Speaker 1: stories that you may have missed that we talked about
- 0:08Speaker 1: this week. First up, we put together an incredible list
- 0:12Speaker 1: of twelve things that you may not have known that
- 0:15Speaker 1: we're in the Big Beautiful Bill that will impact your
- 0:18Speaker 1: life in a major way. I've got the final six
- 0:21Speaker 1: great things for you in today's list, and you can
- 0:24Speaker 1: also go back and hear the entire list from earlier
- 0:27Speaker 1: this week. Story number two real problem with enemy drones
- 0:31Speaker 1: in the skies and the national threat they pose to
- 0:35Speaker 1: our national security. So what can Congress do to protect
- 0:39Speaker 1: all of us? We're going to break that down for
- 0:41Speaker 1: you as well. And finally, in the biggest story of
- 0:44Speaker 1: the week, the bombshell report from the Director of National
- 0:47Speaker 1: Intelligence Tolsta Gabbard on Barack Obama what now is being
- 0:51Speaker 1: described as treasonous actions by Obama and the Attorney General
- 0:56Speaker 1: Pam Bondi has jumped into the case. It's the week
- 1:00Speaker 1: we can review and it starts right now.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I told you I'm going to give you twelve yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 2: major conservative victories in the one Big Beautiful Bill. We're
- 1:07Speaker 2: at six, I actually want listeners to pause for a second.
- 1:10Speaker 2: How many of you could list the first six before
- 1:13Speaker 2: this podcast? And I just want to make the point,
- 1:16Speaker 2: what kind of job does the corporate media do. I'm
- 1:18Speaker 2: willing to bet virtually none of our listeners could have
- 1:22Speaker 2: listed those first six because the news hasn't covered it.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And it's why we do this podcast to give you
- 1:27Speaker 2: information so that when you're talking to your friends and
- 1:31Speaker 2: your colleagues, you will know what's being accomplished. There's a
- 1:34Speaker 2: reason President Trump is so excited about this one big,
- 1:37Speaker 2: beautiful bill because it is massive, massive victories for America.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Number seven, Number seven spectrum now spectrum. What is spectrum?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Electromagnetic spectrum. It is how we communicate. It's how our
- 1:51Speaker 2: cell phones work, it's how Wi Fi works, it's how
- 1:53Speaker 2: satellites work, it's how streaming works. It's all of electronics spectrum.
- 1:59Speaker 2: The largest holder of spectrum is the United States government.
- 2:02Speaker 2: The United States Government has vast swaths of spectrum, and
- 2:05Speaker 2: under Joe Biden, the United States Government stop making new
- 2:10Speaker 2: spectrum available to the private sector. They ended auction authority.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It was grotesquely irresponsible. It did massive damage to America.
- 2:18Speaker 2: It destroyed jobs in America, and it let China get
- 2:21Speaker 2: ahead of America. In this bill, I wrote the legislation
- 2:27Speaker 2: that directs the federal government to auction to the private
- 2:30Speaker 2: sector eight hundred megahertz of spectrum for private sector investment.
- 2:35Speaker 2: What does that mean? Number One, that will generate in
- 2:40Speaker 2: excess of one hundred billion dollars of revenue to the
- 2:44Speaker 2: federal government.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Real money. Now, even in government terms, one hundred billion
- 2:50Speaker 2: dollars is real money. And listen, you and I are
- 2:52Speaker 2: deeply concerned about the deficit and the debt. The entire
- 2:56Speaker 2: commerce title that I wrote that had historic investments in coastguard,
- 3:00Speaker 2: a bunch of other things, I ended up saving over
- 3:03Speaker 2: forty billion dollars, reducing the deficit and the debt by
- 3:06Speaker 2: over forty billion dollars. And the driver was because of
- 3:09Speaker 2: spectrum auction authority we brought in. We will bring in
- 3:13Speaker 2: one hundred billion dollars to pay down the debt. Credible,
- 3:16Speaker 2: that's real money. But it's not the biggest piece of this.
- 3:19Speaker 2: The biggest piece of this is by auctioning the spectrum off,
- 3:23Speaker 2: we will open up billions and billions of dollars of
- 3:27Speaker 2: private sector investment. The companies that buy this spectrum are
- 3:31Speaker 2: going to invest. It is going to create hundreds of
- 3:34Speaker 2: thousands of jobs. That is not an exaggeration. Hundreds of
- 3:38Speaker 2: thousands of jobs. And you know what spectrum is all about,
- 3:41Speaker 2: beating China to six G. I mentioned my consistent theme,
- 3:45Speaker 2: beat China, Beat China in the Arctic with the Coastguard,
- 3:48Speaker 2: beat China to six G with spectrum. And I got
- 3:52Speaker 2: to tell you, three months ago there was nobody in
- 3:57Speaker 2: Washington who thought we could get this done. Sat in
- 4:00Speaker 2: the office of the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson,
- 4:03Speaker 2: a good friend of mine. I said, Mike, We're gonna
- 4:05Speaker 2: do Spectrum on the one big, beautiful bill. And Mike
- 4:08Speaker 2: laughed in my face. He's a good friend. But yeah,
- 4:10Speaker 2: there's no way, he said, there's no chance because the
- 4:13Speaker 2: Department of Defense and the CIA will fight you. They
- 4:16Speaker 2: will stop you. You cannot get it done. We not
- 4:20Speaker 2: only got it done when I cut the deal and
- 4:22Speaker 2: got it in the bill. President Trump called me the
- 4:24Speaker 2: next morning. He said, Ted, this is incredible. This is like,
- 4:29Speaker 2: how did you get such an incredible deal? Historic spectrum
- 4:35Speaker 2: auction authority producing hundreds of thousands of jobs and beating
- 4:38Speaker 2: China to six G that's in the bill. Number eight
- 4:43Speaker 2: Air traffic Control. This bill invests twelve and a half
- 4:47Speaker 2: billion dollars modernizing our air traffic control. To keep your
- 4:51Speaker 2: family safer when you fly, to keep my family safer
- 4:53Speaker 2: when we fly. To stop using outdated radars, to stop
- 4:57Speaker 2: using computers that have floppy discs and sper copper wire.
- 5:01Speaker 2: To modernize our air traffic control. A massive investment in
- 5:05Speaker 2: keeping the American public safe. This bill. I wrote that
- 5:09Speaker 2: portion that is also in the Commerce title. So I
- 5:11Speaker 2: wrote that portion that will fund and improve air traffic control.
- 5:15Speaker 2: A huge victory. Number nine Space YEP. This bill has
- 5:20Speaker 2: ten billion dollars for NASA to go to the Moon,
- 5:24Speaker 2: for the Artemis program, for the Gateway program, to beat
- 5:28Speaker 2: China to the moon. China has said they intend to
- 5:31Speaker 2: return to the Moon by twenty thirty. In my view,
- 5:35Speaker 2: if we lose the Moon to China, it would be
- 5:38Speaker 2: a catastrophic loss. It would be a loss if we
- 5:41Speaker 2: woke up in a few years and China was on
- 5:43Speaker 2: the Moon and China established a base on the Moon,
- 5:45Speaker 2: which is what they said they intend to do with
- 5:47Speaker 2: the Russians, and.
- 5:48Speaker 1: They made that very clear. That is the sole intent
- 5:50Speaker 1: of going. It's not just to go to the Moon,
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's to have a base.
- 5:53Speaker 3: On the Moon.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yes, if they did that and we lost, I think
- 5:57Speaker 2: it would be worse than sputt in it that it
- 6:00Speaker 2: would be a national body blow that would crush this country.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And look, the Moon is critical number one for national security.
- 6:08Speaker 2: The Moon is the high ground you look at. So
- 6:10Speaker 2: much of our national security and so much of our
- 6:12Speaker 2: commerce depends on satellites in orbit around the Earth. The
- 6:16Speaker 2: Moon gives you the high ground. It is very dangerous
- 6:19Speaker 2: for us to see that to China. It is unacceptable
- 6:22Speaker 2: for us to see that to China. But number two,
- 6:25Speaker 2: there are massive rare minerals on the Moon. There are
- 6:29Speaker 2: enormous economic advantages. It is current US law that it
- 6:33Speaker 2: is the policy of the American government to have a
- 6:36Speaker 2: sustained human habitation either on the lunar surface or in
- 6:40Speaker 2: cisar orbit. This investment in beating China to the Moon.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And by the way, the Moon is a stepping stone
- 6:47Speaker 2: to Mars. We will go to Mars, but we haven't
- 6:50Speaker 2: landed on a celestial body in over fifty years. So
- 6:52Speaker 2: we're going to land on the Moon first to make
- 6:54Speaker 2: sure we know how to do it, and then we're
- 6:55Speaker 2: gonna go to Mars. This investment. I wrote this investment
- 6:59Speaker 2: in there, I will say there was significant resistance, and
- 7:04Speaker 2: without getting too much into the sausage making, we won
- 7:08Speaker 2: against the resistance. This is in there. It is a
- 7:11Speaker 2: massive investment. That is exactly right. That's number nine. Number ten,
- 7:19Speaker 2: Cafe standards, the standards that mandate you keep having to
- 7:23Speaker 2: have higher and higher fuel efficiency on your cars. That's
- 7:26Speaker 2: what the Biden administration has used as its tool, as
- 7:30Speaker 2: one of its tools to wage the war on the
- 7:32Speaker 2: internal combustion engine, to try to force every car to
- 7:35Speaker 2: be electric. Is they keep jacking up CAFE standards higher
- 7:38Speaker 2: and higher and higher. What does that mean? Number what
- 7:41Speaker 2: It drives up the cost of your cars. You notice
- 7:43Speaker 2: cars have gotten a lot more expensive. Trucks have gotten
- 7:45Speaker 2: a lot more expensive. Number two, it makes cars less
- 7:47Speaker 2: safe because one of the ways you get the gas
- 7:49Speaker 2: efficiency highre is you replace metal with plastics, cheap plastic
- 7:54Speaker 2: that crumbles it in a crash and more people die.
- 7:57Speaker 2: In the commerce section of the One Big Beauty Bill,
- 8:00Speaker 2: you know what we did to cafe standards? What was
- 8:02Speaker 2: that zeroed them out?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Really they're gone, So it's actually in this so you're
- 8:07Speaker 1: telling me that my car, instead of being all plastic,
- 8:09Speaker 1: we have a little finger bird and everything breaks. They
- 8:11Speaker 1: could actually go back and say, hey, we're not trying
- 8:13Speaker 1: to save weight here, We're trying to actually make safe cars.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It can be a great American car again made a
- 8:18Speaker 2: steel tough as hell. And by the way, you want
- 8:21Speaker 2: to buy electric car, great, that's your choice. You want
- 8:23Speaker 2: to have to hybrid, great, you want to buy a
- 8:25Speaker 2: gas car, great. It ought to be consumers choosing. And actually,
- 8:28Speaker 2: the way we did this we very much modeled how
- 8:32Speaker 2: in twenty seventeen we repealed the individual mandate on Obamacare,
- 8:36Speaker 2: so that was a fight I led in twenty seventeen.
- 8:38Speaker 2: The individual mandate. The way we eliminated it is under
- 8:44Speaker 2: the rules of reconciliation, we could not eliminate the legal
- 8:49Speaker 2: mandate to buy health insurance, which was the individual mandate
- 8:52Speaker 2: under Obamacare. So you know what we did. We made
- 8:54Speaker 2: the penalty zero. So you used to be the irs
- 8:58Speaker 2: finds you. If you didn't buy health insurance, the eye
- 9:00Speaker 2: rest would find you. It is still the law. You're
- 9:02Speaker 2: required to buy health atz don't, you will be fined
- 9:05Speaker 2: zero dollars and zero cents. We did the same thing
- 9:08Speaker 2: to Cafe standards, so they can put their standards out,
- 9:10Speaker 2: but the penalty for violating it is zero. And I
- 9:14Speaker 2: want to mention, look, this is again like PBS at NPR.
- 9:19Speaker 2: This has been a conservative battle for fifty years.
- 9:23Speaker 3: And Democrats have been winning for fifty years, unfortunately.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And we got this done. I wrote this portion, it
- 9:28Speaker 2: is in the bill, it is zeroed out, and we
- 9:31Speaker 2: got this done. And I'm willing to bet fewer than
- 9:34Speaker 2: one percent of our listeners even knew we had done it,
- 9:38Speaker 2: because we won so many victories that this falls all
- 9:41Speaker 2: the way down to number ten on the list.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Incredible, well done.
- 9:44Speaker 2: The final two, yep, the final two, as you know,
- 9:47Speaker 2: are very near and dear to my heart. Number eleven
- 9:50Speaker 2: is school choice. In this bill, we passed the single
- 9:54Speaker 2: largest and most consequential federal school choice bill in the
- 9:58Speaker 2: history of our country. I wrote this provision. Every single
- 10:02Speaker 2: American taxpayer can now contribute up to seventeen hundred dollars
- 10:06Speaker 2: a year to a scholarship granting organization in the States
- 10:10Speaker 2: and get a dollar for dollar credit on their taxes.
- 10:13Speaker 2: It means the money is free. The effect of this
- 10:17Speaker 2: is going to be tens of billions of new scholarship
- 10:20Speaker 2: money in the states for school choice, for K through
- 10:25Speaker 2: twelve school choice. We're going to do a subsequent pod
- 10:27Speaker 2: that does a really deep die because this.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Is part of your legacy. By the way, this is
- 10:32Speaker 3: going to be part of your life.
- 10:33Speaker 2: This is the issue I care more about than anything else.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I have spent thirty years fighting for it. And we're
- 10:39Speaker 2: going to do another pod where we do a very
- 10:40Speaker 2: deep dive because there's some aspects of this that I
- 10:43Speaker 2: want the listeners to appreciate that are both incredible policy
- 10:47Speaker 2: victories but also massive political victories. We are creating incentives
- 10:52Speaker 2: to turn blue states red, to build constituencies of parents
- 10:56Speaker 2: and kids who want fantastic educations. This this is I
- 11:00Speaker 2: told the President. If and when we get this done,
- 11:03Speaker 2: you will go down in history as one of the
- 11:05Speaker 2: greatest civil rights presidents in our nation's history. Your critics
- 11:08Speaker 2: will never acknowledge that.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but the reality will be you're going to change
- 11:11Speaker 3: poor communities.
- 11:12Speaker 2: The reality is the school choice provision is massive, and
- 11:17Speaker 2: it's in the bill. And then the final number twelve
- 11:20Speaker 2: are the Trump accounts, the invest America accounts. Again, I
- 11:23Speaker 2: wrote this provision.
- 11:24Speaker 3: This can fundamentally change this country.
- 11:26Speaker 2: By the way, starting next year July fourth of next year,
- 11:30Speaker 2: the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States
- 11:32Speaker 2: of America, every child in America will have a personal
- 11:36Speaker 2: investment account. Every newborn child will have it seated with
- 11:39Speaker 2: one thousand dollars. Parents, family employers can contribute up to
- 11:45Speaker 2: five thousand dollars a year in a tax advantage account.
- 11:49Speaker 2: All of that money is invested in the S and P.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Five hundred is invested in the stock market. That enables
- 11:54Speaker 2: every kid to enjoy the incredible benefits of compound growth,
- 11:59Speaker 2: which will try transform our kids. The wealth creation for
- 12:03Speaker 2: the next generation of Americans will be utterly transformative. And
- 12:07Speaker 2: not only that, this creates a new generation of capitalists,
- 12:10Speaker 2: as our kids will all be owners of the largest
- 12:14Speaker 2: employers in America. These two victories, school choice and personal
- 12:20Speaker 2: investment accounts for kids without exaggeration, Ben and I've told
- 12:24Speaker 2: the President this. I think ten years, twenty years, thirty
- 12:28Speaker 2: years from now, these will be the two things everyone
- 12:31Speaker 2: remembers from this bill. Everything else. I listed one through ten,
- 12:34Speaker 2: which are massive that they are conservative victories for the generations.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I think eleven and twelve will dwarf one in ten
- 12:42Speaker 2: because the difference, we will see trillions of dollars invested
- 12:48Speaker 2: in four oh one case for kids in these Trump
- 12:50Speaker 2: accounts that will change the future of every one of
- 12:53Speaker 2: our kids and make them all have skin in the
- 12:55Speaker 2: game in our capitalist society. And school choice is going
- 12:59Speaker 2: to literally prove hope and opportunity to millions of kids.
- 13:03Speaker 2: We got both of them done. Those are victories, generational victories,
- 13:08Speaker 2: and when the President signed it on July fourth, they
- 13:10Speaker 2: were victories for all of America.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 13:17Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, I
- 13:21Speaker 1: want to move to something else, and this is about
- 13:23Speaker 1: securing our skies, law enforcement and drones and public safety
- 13:28Speaker 1: or something I think a lot of people are paying
- 13:30Speaker 1: attention to, especially since we really exposed this on Verdict,
- 13:34Speaker 1: where we were talking about how the cartels have got
- 13:38Speaker 1: an amazing ability to use drones. Now they are heavily
- 13:43Speaker 1: advanced and have advanced invested in this technology for drones
- 13:48Speaker 1: to be able to see what we're doing on our
- 13:50Speaker 1: side of the border. See when border patrol agans are
- 13:52Speaker 1: going one direction or the others. They can get people across,
- 13:55Speaker 1: drugs across. It's incredible. There's also another national security standpoint
- 14:00Speaker 1: on drones as well. We've witnessed what drones are becoming
- 14:03Speaker 1: this war with Russia and Ukraine, and it terrifies me
- 14:07Speaker 1: what we're seeing now with drone technology and how drones
- 14:11Speaker 1: are changing warfare, and unfortunately you're seeing it have a
- 14:16Speaker 1: massive impact on the number of casualties between Russia and Ukraine.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You combine those two things, the cartels, the drugs, the
- 14:24Speaker 1: human trafficking, sex trafficking, child trafficking, the fetanyl and the
- 14:29Speaker 1: war aspect of this, and there's a nefarious individual's isis
- 14:33Speaker 1: how kind of the list goes on and on. You
- 14:35Speaker 1: guys are looking at this from an issue of we
- 14:37Speaker 1: got to secure our skies with this new legislation that
- 14:41Speaker 1: you're advocating for.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Talk about that, well, war often foreshadows the next threats
- 14:47Speaker 2: we will face, the next threats we will face from terrorism,
- 14:50Speaker 2: the next threats we will face from criminal attacks, and
- 14:53Speaker 2: you're right the war in Ukraine right now. If you
- 14:56Speaker 2: look at how drones are being used, it illustrates the
- 14:59Speaker 2: profound threat. We had a hearing this week in the
- 15:01Speaker 2: Senate Judiciary Committee. I raised some questions on this. I
- 15:05Speaker 2: laid this out. Give a listen to what I had
- 15:07Speaker 2: to say in the Judiciary Committee hearing this week. In
- 15:10Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, Thomas Crooks flew a drone over a
- 15:14Speaker 2: Trump rally site for eleven minutes, scouting the grounds before
- 15:20Speaker 2: his attempted assassination of President Trump. That same year, drones
- 15:25Speaker 2: hovered over Naval air Station Fort Worth for more than
- 15:29Speaker 2: two hours unintercepted. At our southern border, cartels now operate
- 15:36Speaker 2: drone fleet, smuggling fentanyl, coordinating illegal crossings, and jamming US surveillance.
- 15:43Speaker 2: They formed specialized drone units. They've dropped bombs, They've deployed jammers.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Drones right now are outpacing our law enforcement at every turn.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Drones drop weapons, phones, and fentanyl, arming inmates, and fueling
- 16:09Speaker 2: the deadliest drug drug epidemic in American history. And here's
- 16:14Speaker 2: the most damning part. Cartels right now have more drone
- 16:20Speaker 2: capability than American law enforcement. Let me repeat that cartels
- 16:27Speaker 2: today have more drone capability than American law enforcement. Mister Hardy,
- 16:34Speaker 2: you work at the intersection of law and policy regarding
- 16:37Speaker 2: drones at the DOJ. Is it true that only a
- 16:41Speaker 2: handful of federal agents under narrow legal authority can intercept
- 16:46Speaker 2: or disable a drone?
- 16:48Speaker 4: Thank you, Senator. That is generally true under the twenty
- 16:52Speaker 4: eighteen Act that gives DHS and DHS a DOJ authority
- 16:56Speaker 4: to conduct detection and mitigration operation.
- 17:00Speaker 3: That shocking center.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That that's it, Like were you want to talk about
- 17:05Speaker 1: being behind me the eight ball?
- 17:07Speaker 3: Like good grief?
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yes, And it's not just at the hearing. We also
- 17:10Speaker 2: got into the fact that federal law enforcement is highly
- 17:13Speaker 2: limited and actually stayed in. Local law enforcement is even
- 17:16Speaker 2: more limited. So understand the threat we're going to face.
- 17:20Speaker 2: We are going to see a major terrorist attack carried
- 17:23Speaker 2: out by drones. We are going to see people killed
- 17:28Speaker 2: via drones. We may see a drone flown into a
- 17:32Speaker 2: commercial airline. We are going to see I believe, political
- 17:36Speaker 2: leaders assassinated using drones. The threats are massive and right now,
- 17:42Speaker 2: the authority of law enforcements take out a drone. If
- 17:45Speaker 2: there's a drone that is over a sports stadium for
- 17:48Speaker 2: a football game, a baseball game, a World Cup game.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Right now, there is extremely limited, almost no authority to
- 17:56Speaker 2: take out that drone, even moments before it detonates a bomb,
- 18:02Speaker 2: or distributes a bioweapon, or engages in some other act
- 18:07Speaker 2: of terrorism.
- 18:09Speaker 3: This is the most scary.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I think part about red tape with government is if
- 18:13Speaker 1: you see a threat and it's there, it's almost like
- 18:17Speaker 1: you have to hope that law enforcement will just say
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'll deal with one of the consequences later, because I
- 18:22Speaker 1: know I'm doing the right thing, and you worry that
- 18:24Speaker 1: people are like, well, hold on a second, you can't
- 18:26Speaker 1: do that, you don't have the authority, and then the
- 18:28Speaker 1: worst case scenario happens.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, and this hearing is driving we need legislation
- 18:34Speaker 2: that gives law enforcement the authority to protect us, to
- 18:36Speaker 2: take out drones, to take out drones that are a
- 18:38Speaker 2: threat to airplanes. I am very concerned about an aviation
- 18:43Speaker 2: accident of a drone getting in the way of a
- 18:45Speaker 2: commercial aircraft. We need authority to take out drones that
- 18:50Speaker 2: pose a threat to civilians, pose a threat to sports gatherings,
- 18:55Speaker 2: pose a threat. As I laid out the assassination attempt
- 19:00Speaker 2: on Donald Trump, the assassin who shot President Trump used
- 19:05Speaker 2: a drone initially to scout it out. This is coming
- 19:09Speaker 2: and it is dangerous, and I think we have a
- 19:12Speaker 2: responsibility to act and to act. You know, there's a
- 19:16Speaker 2: long phenomenon that when it comes to warfare, generals far
- 19:20Speaker 2: too often fight the last war rather than the next war.
- 19:24Speaker 2: If you look at the war in Ukraine, it gives
- 19:26Speaker 2: us a window into the future because drones allow for
- 19:30Speaker 2: asymmetric attacks for those who lack power to use a
- 19:35Speaker 2: four hundred dollars drone to take out a multimillion dollar
- 19:40Speaker 2: tank or a multimillion dollar fighter jet. That asymmetry is
- 19:45Speaker 2: dangerous and I think we need real leadership, real leadership
- 19:49Speaker 2: on the part of the Trump administration, real leadership on
- 19:51Speaker 2: the part of Congress to enhance our ability to stop
- 19:55Speaker 2: dangerous drones and to recognize this is the next frontier
- 20:01Speaker 2: for warfare, for terrorism, and for threats of violence against
- 20:06Speaker 2: civilians across this country.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Final question on this, do you believe this is at
- 20:11Speaker 1: least one of those issues where you can get bipartisan support,
- 20:15Speaker 1: that this won't be Republican to v Democrat and make
- 20:18Speaker 1: this so hard to do. Our Democrats on board with
- 20:21Speaker 1: us because it's a national security issue.
- 20:24Speaker 3: So I hope.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So I don't know yet if Democrats will be willing
- 20:27Speaker 2: to work together. It should be. I mean, this ought
- 20:29Speaker 2: to be a level of common sense that people would recognize.
- 20:33Speaker 2: This threat is not a partisan threat. It's not a
- 20:35Speaker 2: right wing threat or a left wing threat. It's a
- 20:37Speaker 2: vulnerability we have as a society. And so I'm certainly
- 20:40Speaker 2: going to try to get Democrats and Republicans to come together.
- 20:43Speaker 2: But I will say it as early so we don't
- 20:45Speaker 2: know for sure, but this ought to be an issue
- 20:48Speaker 2: that brings us all together.
- 20:49Speaker 3: As before.
- 20:50Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 20:52Speaker 1: on this topic, you can go back and dow the
- 20:55Speaker 1: podcasts from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I want to get back to the big story, number
- 21:01Speaker 1: three of the week. You may have missed, all right,
- 21:03Speaker 1: so let's go to the Bombshell Center. I was in
- 21:06Speaker 1: DC when this happened, and everyone was talking about the
- 21:09Speaker 1: report that was released showing how the Oba administration in
- 21:13Speaker 1: essence perpetrated the Russian hoax on Donald Trump to under
- 21:17Speaker 1: by his presidency but also to really get him out
- 21:20Speaker 1: of the White House.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and it's important to understand what is
- 21:24Speaker 2: new about this. Listen, everyone has known for some time
- 21:27Speaker 2: that the Obama team pushed the Russia Russia Russia hoax.
- 21:30Speaker 2: We've known that that's been well established. What is new,
- 21:34Speaker 2: what Tulsea Gabbard put out this week is that they
- 21:38Speaker 2: knew they were lying when they did that, because the
- 21:40Speaker 2: intelligence had been precisely the opposite. And what I want
- 21:43Speaker 2: to do is I want to walk through a little
- 21:45Speaker 2: bit of this timeline and give you the specific facts.
- 21:48Speaker 2: So August thirty first of twenty sixteen, a DHS official
- 21:54Speaker 2: tells former DNI director James Clapper that there was quote
- 21:58Speaker 2: no indication of a Russian threat to directly manipulate the
- 22:03Speaker 2: actual vote count. That's in August of twenty sixteen. Then
- 22:07Speaker 2: September second, twenty sixteen, the FBI said it was quote
- 22:11Speaker 2: uncomfortable implying that there was definitive information that Russia intended
- 22:17Speaker 2: to disrupt our elections. Then on September ninth, twenty sixteen, quote,
- 22:23Speaker 2: the intelligence community concluded that Russia was probably not trying
- 22:30Speaker 2: to influence the election by using cyber means to target
- 22:34Speaker 2: election infrastructure. That continued, so that was not just through
- 22:39Speaker 2: August and September of twenty sixteen, but it continued after
- 22:42Speaker 2: the election. The election happens in November twenty sixteen. On
- 22:46Speaker 2: December seventh, twenty sixteen, here are the talking points that
- 22:51Speaker 2: DNI Director Clapper had prepared for him. Quote, foreign adversaries
- 22:57Speaker 2: did not use iber attacks on election infrastructure to alter
- 23:03Speaker 2: the US presidential election outcome. The next day, December eighth,
- 23:08Speaker 2: Barack Obama's Presidential Daily Brief read as follows. Quote We
- 23:13Speaker 2: assess that Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent
- 23:19Speaker 2: US election results by conducting militious cyber activities against election infrastructure.
- 23:25Speaker 3: That's an important point there by the way.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That's what Barack Obama was briefed on December eighth, And
- 23:32Speaker 2: then December ninth, twenty sixteen, everything changed. On December ninth,
- 23:38Speaker 2: d and I Director Clapper, national Security Advisor Susan Rice,
- 23:41Speaker 2: Secretary of State John Carey, and Deputy FBI Director McCabe.
- 23:46Speaker 2: They all met in person, and in that meeting they
- 23:51Speaker 2: reversed course entirely one hundred and eighty degrees. They flipped,
- 23:57Speaker 2: and they agreed to recommend and sanctioning members of the
- 24:02Speaker 2: Russian military intelligence because of the Russia hoax. They tasked
- 24:08Speaker 2: the intelligence community with creating an assessment of the tools
- 24:11Speaker 2: Moscow used to influence the twenty sixteen election, and that
- 24:15Speaker 2: same day, deep state officials in the intelligence community began
- 24:19Speaker 2: leaking false intelligence to the Washington Post. This was a
- 24:25Speaker 2: decision they made to lie to the American people, and
- 24:29Speaker 2: that's the news.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Deliberately and orchestrated and well planned out. This wasn't just
- 24:33Speaker 1: a random what's got there and lie at a press briefing.
- 24:36Speaker 1: This was a plan, like writing a movie script of
- 24:39Speaker 1: how you were going to lie to the American people
- 24:41Speaker 1: and use the intelligence agencies to do it.
- 24:44Speaker 2: And what Tulsey Gabbert has now given us the receipts
- 24:47Speaker 2: on is they knew they were lying that for months
- 24:50Speaker 2: and months and months, the intelligence community had been reporting
- 24:53Speaker 2: exactly the opposite. So when they made this decision, it
- 24:57Speaker 2: was a political determination. It was a political determination because
- 25:00Speaker 2: they hated Donald Trump. And it was a political determination
- 25:03Speaker 2: because they were furious with the American people for electing
- 25:06Speaker 2: Donald Trump president. And this was an attempt to subvert democracy.
- 25:11Speaker 2: And this was an attempt to overthrow the then newly
- 25:14Speaker 2: elected president of the United States. And what is brazen
- 25:19Speaker 2: about it is that they did it all of the
- 25:22Speaker 2: intelligence that for months and months and months had been reported,
- 25:25Speaker 2: it suddenly magically disappeared. They didn't acknowledge it. They simply
- 25:29Speaker 2: those facts were no longer operative. They had a political agenda,
- 25:33Speaker 2: facts be damned, and they were willing to lie to
- 25:36Speaker 2: the American people, and they were willing to lie to Congress.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Ceda.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I want to go back into what Tulsa Gabbert said
- 25:42Speaker 1: when she went to the White House White House Press
- 25:44Speaker 1: briefing room, and she opened it up as she was
- 25:46Speaker 1: introduced by the White House pres Secretary, and here's what
- 25:49Speaker 1: she had to say.
- 25:50Speaker 5: The stunning revelations that we are releasing today should be
- 25:53Speaker 5: of concern to every American. This is not about Democrats Republicans.
- 25:56Speaker 5: This has to do with the integrity of our Democratic
- 26:00Speaker 5: republic and American voters having faith that the votes cast
- 26:04Speaker 5: will count. There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President
- 26:08Speaker 5: Obama and his national security team directed the creation of
- 26:12Speaker 5: an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false. They
- 26:18Speaker 5: knew it would promote this contrived narrative that Russia interfered
- 26:21Speaker 5: in the twenty sixteen election to help President Trump win,
- 26:25Speaker 5: selling it to the American people as though it were true.
- 26:29Speaker 5: It wasn't. The report that we released today shows in
- 26:31Speaker 5: great detail how they carried this out. They manufactured findings
- 26:36Speaker 5: from shoddy sources. They suppressed evidence and credible intelligence that
- 26:41Speaker 5: disproved their false claims. They disobeyed traditional trade craft intelligence
- 26:48Speaker 5: community standards and withheld the truth from the American people.
- 26:52Speaker 5: In doing so, they conspired to subvert the will of
- 26:55Speaker 5: the American people who elected Donald Trump in that election
- 26:58Speaker 5: in November of twenty sixteen. They worked with their partners
- 27:02Speaker 5: in the media to promote this lie, ultimately to undermine
- 27:05Speaker 5: the legitimacy of President Trump and launching what would be
- 27:09Speaker 5: a year's long coup against him and his administration.
- 27:13Speaker 1: A year's long coup against him and his administration orchestrated
- 27:18Speaker 1: with the deep state and the media.
- 27:20Speaker 3: She's indicting all of them, saying they knew this was
- 27:22Speaker 3: a lie.
- 27:23Speaker 2: She is, and I will say, as she rightly pointed out,
- 27:28Speaker 2: the evidence she put out shows number one, it was
- 27:30Speaker 2: false that Russia was trying to interfere with the election.
- 27:33Speaker 2: But number two, a second predicate of their lie is
- 27:36Speaker 2: that Russia was trying to interfere to benefit Donald Trump.
- 27:39Speaker 2: That was a critical Democrat partisan lie. And one of
- 27:44Speaker 2: the pieces that she put out is that the Obama
- 27:48Speaker 2: intelligence community assessed that Russia had in its possession damaging
- 27:55Speaker 2: information about Hillary Clinton, including the NC communication. So this
- 28:01Speaker 2: is the Democrat National Committee communicating saying that Clinton was
- 28:05Speaker 2: suffering from quote intensified psycho emotional problems, including uncontrolled fits
- 28:12Speaker 2: of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness. And by the way, that's
- 28:17Speaker 2: really weird.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Well you better aroun Hillary Clinton and cheerful if you've
- 28:20Speaker 1: better around Hillary Clinton.
- 28:21Speaker 3: She's not exactly the most cheerful person, so that would
- 28:23Speaker 3: be a red flag.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And what the DNC communications further indicated was that Clinton
- 28:30Speaker 2: was placed on a daily regimen of quote heavy tranquilizers,
- 28:36Speaker 2: and while being afraid of losing, she remained quote obsessed
- 28:40Speaker 2: with a thirst for power. Now, I don't know if
- 28:44Speaker 2: if this supposed Russian intelligence is accurate or not. Tulsea
- 28:47Speaker 2: Gabbard released it and said that the Obama intelligence community
- 28:51Speaker 2: assessed that Russia had this And here's the critical part.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Russia didn't release it. It clearly would have been damaging
- 28:58Speaker 2: to Hillary Clinton. If they wanted Donald Trump to win,
- 29:01Speaker 2: they would have put it out, presumably in October of
- 29:03Speaker 2: twenty sixteen. They didn't that she had another element of
- 29:07Speaker 2: the lie.
- 29:08Speaker 3: It's a huge element of the lie.
- 29:09Speaker 1: So the question now becomes this where we go from here,
- 29:13Speaker 1: and it seems to be moving actually very fast. Great
- 29:16Speaker 1: example of that is the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, we're
- 29:19Speaker 1: now being told, is forming a strike force to quote
- 29:22Speaker 1: investigate disclosures from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence,
- 29:27Speaker 1: that would be Toulsa Gabbard that raises allegations the Obama
- 29:31Speaker 1: administration quote manufactured an intelligence assessment in twenty seventeen promoting
- 29:37Speaker 1: the Russian Hoaks collusion, saying quote the Department of Justice
- 29:40Speaker 1: announcing the formation of the strike force on Wednesday. The
- 29:43Speaker 1: strike force will assess the evidence publicized by the d
- 29:47Speaker 1: and I director and investigate any potential quote next level
- 29:52Speaker 1: steps which might stem from d and I Gabbard's disclosures
- 29:55Speaker 1: that's coming from the release. And Bondi called the disclosures
- 29:58Speaker 1: from Gabbard's office quote quote troubling in the statement.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Well, I'm very glad that the Trump Department of Justice
- 30:05Speaker 2: is investigating this. Tulsea Gabbard made a criminal referral to
- 30:09Speaker 2: the Department of Justice, and Pambondi launched this strike force,
- 30:12Speaker 2: and many people are asking quite reasonably. Is anyone going
- 30:15Speaker 2: to be held accountable for this? Because it seems so
- 30:18Speaker 2: frustrating to have people breaking the law over and over
- 30:21Speaker 2: and over again and nobody being prosecuted, nobody going to jail.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I very much hope people are held accountable. I hope
- 30:26Speaker 2: that the Trump Department of Justice is able to prosecute
- 30:30Speaker 2: and and and prove if there is criminal conduct, that
- 30:32Speaker 2: they're able to prove it and get convictions and people
- 30:35Speaker 2: are held accountable. And I'll tell you the people who
- 30:38Speaker 2: are most likely to face criminal liability are those senior
- 30:43Speaker 2: members of the Obama intelligence community, those people that were
- 30:47Speaker 2: in the the the December ninth meeting where they decided
- 30:51Speaker 2: to deliberately lie to the American people. Those names, by
- 30:53Speaker 2: the way, and in particular, so those names.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You're talking about James Clapper for one example, we're talking
- 31:01Speaker 1: the biggest names there.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Yes, I'm talking about James Clapper, I'm talking about Susan Rice,
- 31:05Speaker 2: I'm talking about John Carey, and I'm talking about Deputy
- 31:09Speaker 2: FBI director mckabe. Wow, those were the ones. And in particular,
- 31:13Speaker 2: also it is the senior officials who testified, falsely testified
- 31:18Speaker 2: before Congress and lied and knew there were lying. And
- 31:21Speaker 2: there are two relevant federal criminal statutes that are most relevant.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Number one is eighteen USC. Section sixteen twenty one, and
- 31:28Speaker 2: that is perjury. Whoever, having taken an oath, wilfully states
- 31:32Speaker 2: any material matter which he does not believe to be true,
- 31:34Speaker 2: is guilty of perjury. That this applies to sworn congressional testimony.
- 31:38Speaker 2: And secondly, eighteen USC. Section one thousand and one, whoever
- 31:43Speaker 2: knowingly and wilfully makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent
- 31:46Speaker 2: statement in any matter within the jurisdiction of the executive, legislative,
- 31:49Speaker 2: or judicial branch shall be fined or in prison. Both
- 31:52Speaker 2: of these you've got, in particular, two different testimonies that
- 31:58Speaker 2: are really problematic. Number one, on May eighth, twenty seventeen,
- 32:01Speaker 2: James Clapper testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the
- 32:06Speaker 2: Russia collusion and what he said, according to what's been
- 32:09Speaker 2: released by Toolsey Gabbert, he knew was false. He said,
- 32:13Speaker 2: in particular, quote Russia's influence activities in the run up
- 32:16Speaker 2: to the twenty sixteen presidential election constituted the high water
- 32:20Speaker 2: mark of their long running efforts. They must be congratulating themselves.
- 32:23Speaker 2: This episode is a clarion call for vigilance and action
- 32:26Speaker 2: against the threat to the very foundations of our democratic system.
- 32:29Speaker 2: And then in November twenty twenty, Andrew McCabe testified before
- 32:33Speaker 2: the Senate Judiciary Committee. He lied as well, and I
- 32:36Speaker 2: will say for the Statute of Limitations, if it was
- 32:38Speaker 2: materially covered up, it is extended. This is the most
- 32:43Speaker 2: likely area you'll find criminal liability.
