- 0:00What's up everybody welcome back to the Europe
- 0:03weekly or bi -weekly fuckbusters episode I'm
- 0:05Bobo surrounded by my co -hosts. What's up? How's
- 0:08it going? And Colin's silent as always Welcome
- 0:14back after a week off. I know very busy weekend
- 0:17for all of us and literally all of us here in
- 0:19studio Literally all five of us gone to two different
- 0:22weddings last weekend. So Congratulations to
- 0:24Ethan married man now and our mutual friend Burke
- 0:29Not seeing his real name because that's not his
- 0:31real name. That's what we always will be Burke
- 0:33That's what we know him as so it's one of those
- 0:35that that friend where you know him by his last
- 0:36name So that's all we're gonna say there's not
- 0:38his full last name. Good luck finding him Literally
- 0:41when we go out to places and I meet these guys
- 0:44right? Oh, yeah, this is Bobo Yeah, by the way,
- 0:46Bobo's not his real name, in case y 'all didn't
- 0:47know that. And people are like, why do you call
- 0:50him Bobo? We've been calling him Bobo for like
- 0:5115 years. My girlfriend were talking about the
- 0:53other day, like I said, I don't think I've ever
- 0:55once called Bobo by his real name. It's very
- 0:58rare, like I think one time I said to - Nobody
- 1:01ever really has. I think Jess, I picked up on
- 1:03like Ryan and your parents calling you B, I think
- 1:05every once in a while I'll call you B, but nine
- 1:07out of ten times it's Bobo. Like I don't think
- 1:09I maybe once I've I called you your real name
- 1:11I've gotten to the point every time like now
- 1:13that I especially work for a small school district
- 1:15every time I go out somewhere They're like, oh
- 1:16my god, it's Bobo. The school's starting to call
- 1:18me It's just one of those things man, like everybody
- 1:28has that one friend in their group But they have
- 1:30either a nickname or you don't call them by their
- 1:32first name And we got to we got two of we got
- 1:35one of each Yeah, how's everybody week? How was
- 1:38how was the wedding? How was the weekends? It
- 1:40was fun wedding was really it was really nice
- 1:44beautiful. I'm still recovering Yeah, unfortunately
- 1:48was not an Ethan's I was at another there are
- 1:50other friends. Yeah, I said but it was really
- 1:53nice It was a lot of fun. Yeah. Yeah, I don't
- 1:56think so. I'm not gonna say on the air because
- 1:58You know for for legal reasons But no, it was
- 2:03fun, you know The venue was awesome. You know,
- 2:05Jeff and Bobo can attest to it, just the whole
- 2:07venue. I even said to one of our other friends,
- 2:12I'm like, their chapel was like really pretty.
- 2:16Yeah, that's awesome. It was one of those things
- 2:18where just like, I'm a construction guru, the
- 2:20architecture in that building was, everything
- 2:22was wood. There was everything, you know. 12
- 2:25by 12 wood beams holding the entire structure
- 2:28of, you know, curves, triangles. You look in
- 2:30the ceiling, it's like a 25 foot loft ceiling
- 2:33and everything goes to the top. You can see all
- 2:35the woodwork, all the architecture and you're
- 2:37like, wow. You can tell it's old. It was five,
- 2:41yeah, it was like not even five minutes from
- 2:43the New York, Pennsylvania state line right there
- 2:44at around five. The back. The venue at the wedding
- 2:52was very gorgeous view to yeah a little bit higher
- 2:55I'm like on the back road like up on a hill and
- 2:57they overlooked like so damn near the entire
- 2:58city and like the entire Burrow if you want to
- 3:01call it that like yeah, yeah You see it the whole
- 3:04township and like it was beautiful to you right
- 3:06behind where Ethan his wife were sitting, you
- 3:09know at the reception you know what's this big
- 3:12this big big old window that again you can see
- 3:15the entire lake you can see you know if it was
- 3:17clear day you could practically see you can't
- 3:19yeah there's certain days you can see that's
- 3:21that's gonna be weird to hear both of them say
- 3:23now the wife having having to say wife instead
- 3:26of girlfriend or fiance for those two like now
- 3:29two of us have to say wife that's gonna be that's
- 3:32gonna be weird to get used to at this point i
- 3:33just keep calling their significant other partner
- 3:36because yeah oh no Because I can say the same
- 3:39thing for Kyle, our partners in crime or whatever,
- 3:42our respective partners in crime, their partners
- 3:44in crime or whatever. But yeah, the whole thing
- 3:48was nice. Yeah, a lot of fun. Yeah, it also reminded
- 3:53me this past week of how much I fucking hate
- 3:55public speaking. I suck at it, I'm terrified
- 3:59of it, I suck at it. You had to do your speech.
- 4:01I had to do my speech. How long was it? Did you
- 4:05only last about 30 seconds or? No, that's the
- 4:09other thing. Christian, shut up! But no, I don't
- 4:16know. I couldn't keep track. I wish you would
- 4:18have seen me. I was like shaking afterwards to
- 4:21go get my drink or something. How much I fucking
- 4:23hate. public speaking. It's terrifying, man.
- 4:26It really is. I'm fine in front of my students
- 4:29and there's like 50 of them but then again I
- 4:31know them. Even just doing this I know for the
- 4:33first probably season all of us were still never
- 4:35seen just doing this like we're just sitting
- 4:37in front of a microphone and it was still nerve
- 4:38-racking. Just knowing that there's a chance
- 4:41that you know tons and tons of people can hear
- 4:43it. Not a lot do. But now obviously still being
- 4:46in the room of people that you know and you trust
- 4:48and you love working around you know it's yeah
- 4:50it's become more comfortable. The only reason
- 4:53I have a lot of on public speaking is because
- 4:55my dad and my stepmom are both teachers so it
- 4:58was one of those things literally like every
- 5:00presentation I had to do growing up through school
- 5:02I remember my dad would sit there my entire family
- 5:04would sit and I don't have like 40 people sit
- 5:07in the kitchen with me to a presentation and
- 5:10even though it's family it's like okay I was
- 5:17one of those guys that you sort of we stare at
- 5:19the back longer than everybody was in their underwear
- 5:22Like I'm okay with like doing the behind -the
- 5:24-scenes work, you know the grinding of it to
- 5:28get it all set up But when it comes to public
- 5:29speaking somebody else can do it Oh, I will I
- 5:32will type it there and write down or I will physically
- 5:34sit there right down Or type down a five page
- 5:37fucking speech, but I won't speak it Yeah, exactly.
- 5:40I'll do all the nitty -gritty if you want me
- 5:41to type out your speech for you Sure, but I'm
- 5:43not saying it for you Like here and out there
- 5:47if you have trouble typing, but you're better
- 5:49with words Let me type it and then you read it
- 5:51out there. I don't have to read it out and I
- 5:53can type it for you I'm okay with not getting
- 5:57any credit But, you know, just don't make the
- 6:01public speak. It's horrible. It's terrifying,
- 6:04it really is. And I wanted to tell Ethan no,
- 6:07but I was like, no, I can't do that to a lifelong
- 6:10friend, you know? So I'm like, sure, I'll do
- 6:12it. He's like, watch your language. I'm like,
- 6:14don't worry, okay? The only time I don't watch
- 6:17my language is off air, not in front of family.
- 6:21That's something you've talked about. You've
- 6:24said multiple times to us as a group. You're
- 6:25like, I know I'm a dick, but I know when not
- 6:28to be. I know when the appropriate time to be
- 6:29and not to be a dick. There's a line, okay? I
- 6:32know where the line is, okay? One side of it,
- 6:35sure, I'll be an asshole, whatever. I'll speak
- 6:37my mind, I'll be blunt. And there's another side
- 6:39where I'd say, okay, I can be straightforward,
- 6:42but be nice about it. And there's some such as...
- 6:46very odd timing situation. You can kind of dance
- 6:48over the line, you know, you can be a little
- 6:50bit of each, but you still got to stay more towards
- 6:52the neutral side. I know Jeffy and Bobo can back
- 6:56me up on this, but one of my favorite things
- 6:57from the speech was, uh, uh, you know, uh, it
- 7:00was, hold on, let me, actually, let me pull it
- 7:02up because I have it here on my phone. He's starting
- 7:03to type down. Yeah, I have it here in the Google
- 7:06box. I know me and Christian made the joke, we're
- 7:08like, big voice, big voice. Because obviously
- 7:14not a couple of other it was hard to hear in
- 7:16in our room like some of the speeches and yeah
- 7:19like that's why we made the Big voice big big
- 7:24boy big boy voice You like you like Shrek and
- 7:29do your roar Oh, yeah, I know for those who do
- 7:37that hat Wow here we go Now for those of you
- 7:40who didn't know, Ethan and I go way back. We've
- 7:50known each other for almost two whole decades.
- 7:54We talked about how we got befriended and whatever.
- 8:02One of the things that... Skip ahead. But either
- 8:09way, regardless, I'd say that, you know, not
- 8:12many friends can say they have a, you know, handsome,
- 8:16sexy, intelligent, you know, good -looking best
- 8:19friend. My god, Ethan, didn't you get lucky yesterday?
- 8:24That's a good one. He told me that that's pretty
- 8:26good. So that was a good one. I got a couple
- 8:29last. I couldn't tell from the other one, unfortunately.
- 8:31I said there were a couple in our room. But yeah,
- 8:37anyway Let's talk hockey. Yeah on a more serious
- 8:41note. Let's let's get over this sassy shit. All
- 8:43right, let's talk hockey the only reason why
- 8:45we came here to my studio So let's start with
- 8:48the juniors Jeffy with the OHL news. Um, they
- 8:52always you actually hired a new Director of player
- 8:56safety and 27 year veteran OHL official veteran
- 9:00Greg Kimmel. He's now the new director of the
- 9:02player safety of and then on October 25th, Ryan
- 9:11McGuire of the Guelph Storm suspended for two
- 9:15games, for actually seven games for a check to
- 9:18the head penalty against Flint. One that I've
- 9:21kind of do kind of like what they're always just
- 9:25doing, they should at least actually explain
- 9:27what the actual penalties are instead of just
- 9:30being kind of very vague on how, just saying
- 9:33suspend for this. this many again liam goodmartin
- 9:36suspended 10 games for abuse of officials like
- 9:39i thought like i i think it's at least that's
- 9:42the least improvement or at least actually saying
- 9:45what what it was for um then on october 26 actually
- 9:50couple october 26 um justin justin batu and jake
- 9:56labrash of the kitchen rangers suspended two
- 9:59games for both check to the heads and then Ty
- 10:02Henry was is suspended for um two games of abuse
- 10:07of official um there seems to be a lot of those
- 10:12suspensions out there as of recent you know of
- 10:15abuse of official whether it's two games and
- 10:1710 games whatever but that seems to have really
- 10:19been at this point they might as well just say
- 10:21two two or two games suspension for hurting the
- 10:24ref's feelings so what i didn't hear really anything
- 10:29about that what It's so long. It's a long story.
- 10:32I think these two were at both at the game where
- 10:34all that shit happened. Or was that on Saturday?
- 10:37No, that was the night. Okay, were we all at
- 10:38those at the wedding? Yeah, so that was the week
- 10:39that we all missed because of our respective
- 10:42weddings. Yeah, I would say, because it didn't
- 10:44happen in Kitchener. It just... It was in Erie.
- 10:47I knew it was in Erie. Yeah, I said the ones,
- 10:49all these suspensions happened in the one against
- 10:52at Erie. Now going on to milestones, Evan...
- 10:59Cohen of the Flint Firebirds played in his 200th
- 11:02career OHO game vs. Owenstown Attack. Carlos
- 11:16Flingans got his first career OHO goal vs. Owenstown
- 11:25Attack. Columbus Bluejacks prospect Nick Nathan
- 11:28Dade gets his 50th career win And then on Eden
- 11:35O'Donnell the Brankford Bulldogs gets his first
- 11:38career with Joe Gould versus Peterborough Pete's
- 11:40and who are still winless Liam Lads of the Peterborough
- 11:47Pete's gets his first career with Joe Gould and
- 11:50then Joey Catanzo of the Windsor Spitfire gets
- 12:01his 15th career win versus Niagara Ice Dogs.
- 12:06And then all on the October 27th, Columbus Blue
- 12:10Jacks prospect Luca Panelli of the Iowa 67th
- 12:14gets his 100th career OHL goal versus Sudbury
- 12:17Wolves. Casey Bridgewater of the Sarnia Sting
- 12:21gets his first career OHL goal versus the London
- 12:24Knights. Adam the Ziki of the Brantford steelheads
- 12:32gets his first career OHL hat trick vs the Guelph
- 12:35storm and then Dawson Morris of the Guelph storm
- 12:38gets his first career OHL goal. Graydon Jones
- 12:43of the Saginaw Spirit gets his first career OHL
- 12:45goal vs the Owen Senate attack. Caleb Patnew
- 12:50of the Saginaw Spirit gets his first career win
- 12:53in the 5 -4 shootout win. Antonio Tezzanzini
- 13:00of the L .A. Sun Attack gets his first career
- 13:03OHL goal. And Alec Leonard of the L .A. Sun Attack
- 13:06played in his 200th career OHL game. Francis
- 13:11Parrish of the Peterborough Peets gets his first
- 13:14career OHL goal versus Oshawa Generals. And then
- 13:19one miles on the 29th. Brendan Fulkner of the
- 13:24Peterbilt -Pietz gets his first career OHO goal
- 13:26versus Niagara Ice Dogs. And then on the 30th,
- 13:30Ryan Abraham of the Windsor Spitfire gets his
- 13:33100th career OHO assist off of Washington Capital's
- 13:37prospect Ilya Protas. Couple on November 1st,
- 13:45Sandra Duhadin of the Kingston Frontenacs gets
- 13:48his 200th career OHO point versus Peterbilt -Pietz.
- 13:53Oliver Phillips of the eerie otters gets his
- 13:55first career OHL point off of a Alexey Davy of
- 13:59the goal and then on November 2nd Noah Erliden
- 14:03of the eerie otters in the 23 C's gets his first
- 14:07career OHL went shutout in a 4 -0 victory versus
- 14:11the Barry Colts. That game was fucking awesome.
- 14:17Keeping up, me and Kyle were keeping up with
- 14:20as we were at the concert every once in a blue
- 14:22moon when we were between intermissions of between
- 14:26breaks of of the bands that were performing last
- 14:29night. Yeah, which I have notes that I sent to
- 14:34the guys from the night, you know, actually being
- 14:37there in person. So I don't know if I thought
- 14:39they won't share, but you know. I mean a great
- 14:42great weekend of honor talking though to know
- 14:44it took all four points that need to need very
- 14:46needed Four points in the very very tough Western
- 14:49Conference. So that's huge huge huge four points
- 14:52there That's something I kind of want to talk
- 14:54about once Jeff is done with the news There's
- 14:57actually only three more after this Look up Luke
- 15:02Mesa the brain for steelheads gets his 50th career
- 15:06only to a goal versus starting a sting Ty on
- 15:11Street of the Sudbury Wolves gets his first career,
- 15:14OHL Gold first to Brantford Bulldogs and then
- 15:17Nathan Tesson with the North Bay Battalion gets
- 15:19his first career, OHL Gold first to Brantford
- 15:22Steelheads. actually bring that up, the standings
- 15:31and stuff like that. Yeah, while you do that,
- 15:33I know in the sound bites from after last night's
- 15:36game, I know Pano Fimas had a quote that said,
- 15:38he goes, I think we played an amazing 115 minutes
- 15:40of hockey this weekend, minus the five minutes
- 15:43in Brantford on Friday night where they gave
- 15:45up like three goals in a matter of five minutes.
- 15:47He said, other than that, we played an amazing
- 15:49115 minutes of hockey. Yeah, looking at the stands
- 15:52now, I haven't pulled up here. Yeah, positions
- 15:57three through six. Third is the London Knights,
- 16:0120 points, and fourth through sixth all have
- 16:0418 points, with Otters, Greyhounds, and Sting.
- 16:08Now, the Otters technically hold the tiebreaker
- 16:10because they only have 14 games played, versus
- 16:15Sioux only has 15 games played, and Sarnia has
- 16:1917. London also has 14 games played. So therefore,
- 16:26I mean, technically, if the stainless was set,
- 16:31we'd have home advantage against Sue, but we
- 16:34also have a game in hand over Sue. This upcoming
- 16:38week, we have a couple of tough matchups, first
- 16:40of them on Thursday being against the first place.
- 16:44in the eastern conference god that's weird to
- 16:46say if the niger ice dogs yeah i want to talk
- 16:48about how fucking good i just i told one of my
- 16:51prediction at the beginning everybody thought
- 16:52i was insane like you guys thought i was crazy
- 16:54for putting them i think i had them in fifth
- 16:55or sixth or something like that in the west there
- 16:58in the east they're 11 and 4 yeah 22 total points
- 17:01with kevin with um kevin he leading the way with
- 17:0523 points already. He's currently fourth in the...
- 17:08He is an amazing fucking player. Like Kyle said,
- 17:12they might be first in the East, but they're
- 17:14third in the league, only behind Windsor at two
- 17:17and Kitchener at one. So it's ending with Windsor
- 17:21having a game in hand over Kitchener. It's a
- 17:25crazy thing to think that, you know, Niagara
- 17:27is up there with the big dogs like Kichner, like
- 17:29Windsor, like London. That's nuts. I didn't expect
- 17:33them to be this good, but they got off to what
- 17:34was like an 8 -in -1 start and now they're, what
- 17:37do we say, 11 -in -3? 11 -in -4. It's insane,
- 17:40man. They are a good fucking team this year.
- 17:44I mean, I think they already have... Almost I
- 17:47don't have half as many wins this year as they
- 17:49did all of last year and they don't I'll get
- 17:51there only 15 games into a 68 game season well,
- 17:55they probably last season they had a total of
- 17:5817 wins and They already have 11. I mean they're
- 18:02probably coming back with vengeance. I'm sure
- 18:04they're there 11 and for right now. Yeah To match
- 18:08the record that they went last season from this
- 18:11far out. They'd have to go six and 40 from here
- 18:14on out to match what they did last year. I mean
- 18:17hey so all they need to do is win seven of the
- 18:20last 47 games to beat what they did last year.
- 18:23Which with the way they're going I mean it's
- 18:25it's very well possible. It's very possible they
- 18:27can get the second or third seed over there in
- 18:29the east. Like it's well obviously they still
- 18:32gonna pay I think they're gonna pay bund in at
- 18:34least once or twice more. Which they're a tough
- 18:37foe. They haven't played top teams in their division.
- 18:42You've got the Bulldogs, you've got the Battalion,
- 18:44you've got Oshawa. And then there's the Peterborough
- 18:48Pizza who have yet to win a game. Three points
- 18:51in the season. 0 -11 -1 -2. So they've come close
- 18:56with two shootout losses. I can't believe they
- 19:00still have it. And then there's Kitchener who's
- 19:0212 -2 -1 -1. Jesus. I don't know what to say
- 19:06from that, man. I really don't. They have me,
- 19:10like... I mean, kudos to Niagara. Like, they're
- 19:13really making me shut my fucking mouth and realize,
- 19:16my god, was I stupid. It was a C -problem this
- 19:19year. I feel like a lot of losing teams always
- 19:22come back with a vengeance the next season. It's
- 19:25just one of those, especially in hockey. A lot
- 19:28of other sports, you know, they kind of stay
- 19:30on a losing streak for two, maybe three seasons,
- 19:32and then you have to rebuild. Hockey's one of
- 19:35those seasons where it's like you have, so short
- 19:37of an off season, it's like you have to put everything
- 19:39together right after that season ends so you
- 19:42know when you're right on the rock and roll.
- 19:43I mean, I'm going back and like, they've been
- 19:46bottom for... For a couple years last 45 degrees
- 19:52seasons and that like the last time they were
- 19:55they were decent was 2018 2019 regular season
- 20:01where they they they got it were 44 17 7 9 so
- 20:06to beat the central division They're number 2
- 20:09in the conference and number 4 in the league
- 20:12So to make you guys feel older the year you graduated
- 20:16high school 2018 To make you feel really old.
- 20:23I mean, I just turned 25, so. Yeah. Sorry. I'll
- 20:27be 27 and all. I guess I'll definitely need my
- 20:29ankle replaced by that. Yeah, so they've been
- 20:34definitely the surprise so far this season is
- 20:37Niagara. Peter, I didn't expect them to be...
- 20:40I expect them to be not good, but not... Not
- 20:43this bad. Not this bad. Like, I still... Had
- 20:47them, I think I said they were gonna miss the
- 20:50playoffs, but not this bad so far. I mean, considering
- 20:53they're 14 games of the season and they only
- 20:56have three points all from OTC or shootout losses.
- 20:59Yeah. So, I don't know, lots of words, man. It's
- 21:05insane. All right, well. Yeah, I think we're
- 21:09gonna jump right into NHL milestones. Or did
- 21:13Jessamyn else win it, Ed? I was just gonna jump
- 21:14into Puck, they'll do a bite if. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 21:17we'll do that first, yeah. I think we usually
- 21:19do. No, we'll do Puck Dooku first. Get us in
- 21:22the NHL mindset. Alright, going across the top
- 21:25for the columns, it's Anaheim, Minnesota, and
- 21:29Chicago. For the rows, we got the Capitals, the
- 21:33Panthers, and the Penguins. I said for the caps
- 21:36and ducks, I'm Sonny Milano. Milano? So we got
- 21:41Milano. We got... Penguins Wild, Markungry Furry.
- 21:45Furry, and we also got a Nick Eukstad. I think...
- 21:50We can do Penguins... Penguins Black Ops Flurry
- 21:52too. Sam Lafferty too. Sam Lafferty. Let's try
- 21:57to go like, in order from like... Some Capitals,
- 22:00Wild. Not Kovalchuk, not... Hold on, hold on.
- 22:09No. Cowboys and Blackhawks Oh Capitals um Blackhawks
- 22:16don't strum. Yeah, see I was thinking that but
- 22:18I was like no he didn't stop your idea. He didn't
- 22:21stop I thought he didn't he started in Chicago.
- 22:23No, he started in Arizona Most of his most his
- 22:26career was in Chicago Dylan strum. Yeah, he played
- 22:30to break it for a couple years Yep okay so i
- 22:37i was right the first time i was yeah because
- 22:38you were shafted by yeah arizona after three
- 22:41okay washington minnesota this is not one more
- 22:45of those like you can go back to the previous
- 22:47franchise because that's it eric stone never
- 22:54had to stick with thick capitals nope i'm thinking
- 22:59like goaltender here That's real my mind Ilya
- 23:03brezgal overpaid, Minnesota. You've never played
- 23:05Washington brain. Hope he was only Washington
- 23:08Vancouver Dallas Simeon Vardomov was only capitals
- 23:18islanders avalanche challenge And I'm think Sam
- 23:26Talbot never played in Washington No. No he did
- 23:30not. Did he not? He's played for like 10 different
- 23:33teams at this point. Mostly north of the border,
- 23:35but he's also played in LA and Minnesota. So
- 23:38he played for the Flyers, he played Detroit.
- 23:42I think he had a very short stint with the Capitals,
- 23:49but did he? No, maybe not. I don't know. I don't
- 23:53think he did. I don't think so. Okay, so we'll
- 23:55skip that one for now and go down to Florida,
- 23:57Anaheim. Sam Reinhardt did not play for... He
- 24:03was with Buffalo, not Anaheim, okay. You gotta
- 24:05remember, Buffalo is practically Florida's...
- 24:10Oh, Eric Stahl, Florida, Minnesota. Yep. And
- 24:19then Florida, Chicago. Hostin never played for
- 24:23the Panthers, I don't think. Nope. Part of the
- 24:27South he was, was Atlanta. Lafferty played for
- 24:32the Ducks too, didn't he? Sam Lafferty? Or no?
- 24:37I'm not confident. I don't need more towards
- 24:39now. Okay. Johan Hedberg, did he play for the
- 24:44Ducks? I don't even remember who that is. He's
- 24:46a gold tender for the Penguins, like early 2000s,
- 24:49and I want to say he spent time with Anaheim,
- 24:51but... Keep that on the back burner. Oh, Zac
- 24:54Aston Rees? Penguins, Ducks? Is he in Anaheim?
- 24:59I'm pretty sure he spent time in... I think we
- 25:04sent him over to Anaheim in the Raquel trade
- 25:06I'm more confident with well, I'd rather go with
- 25:09the cat Raquel because at least that's a definite
- 25:12answer. Yeah Okay, we can get for both these
- 25:29bottom ones for the penguins but Is there another
- 25:31one that we want to put in? I know Mike Rupp
- 25:33for Pittsburgh, Minnesota. Are you sure? Yeah.
- 25:37You put it for Minnesota? Yeah, in Minnesota.
- 25:42I would make a good guess. 0 .7%. So if we want
- 25:44to go for a lower one, do you like Sam Lafferty
- 25:46or even Marion Hosa? Marion Hosa. Get a little
- 25:52bit lower of a percentage. Florida might be pretty
- 25:54high. Okay, so then Florida, Chicago. Would it
- 25:59be like a defenseman? It could be not Duncan
- 26:04Keith. I don't think you paid him way for Florida
- 26:05Chicago and Oh, we all never went to Chicago
- 26:14Evan Rodriguez never went to either Anaheim or
- 26:24Chicago Because I know Florida and Buffalo and
- 26:29Pittsburgh horn quest that he spent time in Anaheim
- 26:31Nashville Pittsburgh for us That's it Would it
- 26:39be another goaltender I Know one of you guys
- 26:43anti -nanny comes in mind, but I don't know if
- 26:45he played for Florida Yeah, thanks. Thanks for
- 26:49your input. Oh, what do you think? I don't think
- 26:51that's right buddy. Do you think Auntie Nanny's
- 26:53right? We should just put me out of one of the
- 26:54boxes Here, hug. It just pops up to break it.
- 27:04Marcus Felino? Did he ever play for Washington?
- 27:07Or Nick Felino? I thought one of the Felinos
- 27:10did. Marcus has spent most of his time in Minnesota.
- 27:13Did he ever play for Washington though? I don't
- 27:16think so. I don't think Colville Chuck played
- 27:19for Minnesota. Minnesota came around, what, 2000?
- 27:28Yeah. Colvin Chuck was around during that start
- 27:30of the Minnesota franchise and the Columbus franchise,
- 27:33but I don't think he ever played for either.
- 27:37Okay. Being like Coyvoo, but I don't think he
- 27:39ever, I think he spent his whole career in Minnesota.
- 27:43Teresanko, never played for Chicago. Damn. Frank
- 27:48Vetrano? Did he start with Florida? I know no,
- 27:56I think he started in like the Rangers and then
- 28:00went to the Ducks It's a shot I mean we're stuck
- 28:05anyway, so Florida Chicago for Toronto Florida
- 28:08Anaheim I Don't think he played for Alright,
- 28:25so we need Washington, Minnesota, and Florida,
- 28:28Chicago. Talbot is like the only thing I can
- 28:37even possibly think of. I'm going back to the
- 28:40Cplino brothers. Nick was... CBJ, Boston. No,
- 28:47he was Chicago. And then Chicago. Did he ever
- 28:50play for Florida? No, because he's only ever
- 28:52played for three teams. He's only three? Okay.
- 28:55Marcus, for sure, is he still up in Minnesota?
- 29:00Marcus, I don't know if he's still playing. Oh,
- 29:03hold on, I can still... He's still active, okay.
- 29:12Backspace... X. Okay, here we go. Okay, this
- 29:20one's tough. This one's gotten us thinking. We're
- 29:22perfect so far. Luongo, no. Yeah, Luongo was
- 29:29only Florida, Vancouver, and Ambers. He's drafted
- 29:32by Ambers. I think I got Oli Okunin. I don't
- 29:42think he ever played for Chicago. Sam Reinhart
- 29:44wasn't one to fit that, really. Buffalo, Florida
- 29:47for sure. Just Buffalo and Florida? Yeah. I mean,
- 29:52Kam Talbot, like, is my... Best guess for Washington,
- 29:55Minnesota. Might as well try. That's the only
- 30:00thing is I'm still not confident on the Washington
- 30:01part. I'm not confident either in Washington.
- 30:05I know for Minnesota, yes. Yeah. We're doing
- 30:09a 50 -50 here. Like that's the thing. Varlamov.
- 30:13I'm trying to think. Grubauer. Who else has played
- 30:16Goaltender for Washington? Kolzig. What did he
- 30:20ever play? He played for Minnesota. Who? Kolzig.
- 30:23Olaf Kolzig. He was like gold tender I think
- 30:29would have been like always rookier Well, I don't
- 30:38think it's cam Talbot, but it's Chicago feel
- 30:47like this one that's like this one is gonna be
- 30:49like you're fucking stupid for not getting this
- 30:51one The other one I think we make okay. Yeah,
- 30:53I can see us missing that But this one, I think
- 30:56we should be able to fucking get. I'm pretty
- 30:57sure that those are some of the best news at
- 30:59home. You should fucking know this! You said
- 31:03his name multiple times! There's definitely screaming
- 31:05in AMS right now. For Florida, Chicago. I feel
- 31:09like I know this one. Marchment, no. I said we
- 31:18said OELs, no. Those are goaltenders. Those are
- 31:22goaltenders right now. Bob. Yeah, Bob. And Montembeau.
- 31:27No, he's up in Montreux. I know Knight is kind
- 31:29of been up and down. Knight's the third string
- 31:31goaltender. Yeah, so he's been up and down between
- 31:34the A and the NHL. I got nothing, dude. My best
- 31:45guess would be Oli Okunin. I don't think he did
- 31:48play for Chicago, but it's the best guess that
- 31:50I have. We get a second I'm trying to think I'm
- 31:55trying to think of one real quick Something maybe
- 32:00players from though that like 2010 2013 cup winning
- 32:04teams of Chicago Like Patrick Sharpe, I'll see
- 32:07taste and his whole career up in Chicago Can
- 32:10never played for has played for Florida. She's
- 32:13been in Pittsburgh, Washington, Tampa Buffalo
- 32:20He's been on a lot of different places. I don't
- 32:21know if he's in Chicago? What about the dude
- 32:26who's been to, like, 27 different teams? Gull
- 32:29Chain Nick, no, he doesn't fit either one. Okay.
- 32:32Mike Sillinger, I don't think he played for either
- 32:34one of those two. He played for 10 different,
- 32:36but I don't think either one of those two fit.
- 32:38Who is the solvent that played with us for...
- 32:41Steve Sullivan? Steve, yeah. That's not a bad
- 32:46guess. I don't think it is. I don't hate that
- 32:48guess. For Florida Chicago for any of them I'm
- 32:54just right. I would leave more towards Florida
- 32:56Chicago for yeah, I'm Sullivan I know he played
- 32:59in Nashville there for a while. I think he did
- 33:02play for Chicago, too Yeah, I'm just trying to
- 33:05throw up. You know late 2000s early 2010s kind
- 33:08of names Like Ryan Ryan longer, I'm trying to
- 33:12be like current players on both teams right now
- 33:16Chicago there's not a lot that you can think
- 33:18of you see you can do pay for Athanasio Andres
- 33:22Athanasio. I know he played for Chicago. I don't
- 33:25Detroit. I love it for for Rida. I'm not positive
- 33:30on that one either. Cam Ward. I don't think you
- 33:35ever play for which I am. That you were razzic.
- 33:39Did he ever play for Florida? I'm thinking of
- 33:42the goaltender Backstrom. Oh, Nicholas Backstrom?
- 33:46No, that... Oh, there's two Nicholas Backstroms.
- 33:47Yeah, Nicholas Backstrom for Washington, uh...
- 33:51Minnesota, right? Yeah, I think so. It's N -I
- 33:53-K -L -A -S Backstrom? The goaltender. Yeah.
- 33:56Nicholas Backstrom in the goaltender? I think
- 34:00he'd be the 2016 one. Yeah. Washington, Minnesota,
- 34:05yeah. Because Nick Backstrom just stopped recently.
- 34:12Let's figure this out. Marcus Johansen, Darcy
- 34:16Kamper. We said it was a fucking goaltender,
- 34:18too. We have other players like Eric Fair, Daniel
- 34:21Winnick, Joel Ward, Matt Hendricks, Matt fucking
- 34:25Cuck. From Washington and Minnesota? Brian Campbell.
- 34:31From Florida, Chicago. Dave Bowland, like I said,
- 34:33that 2010 team. Craig Anderson. What the fuck
- 34:40did Craig Anderson play for fucking Florida?
- 34:42Uh, time for Google. Uh, Fina Henestrosa. Go
- 34:50to that Pittsburgh Anaheim one. I don't see if
- 34:52I would have been right on. Zach Astin -Reyes.
- 34:54Chris Kunis. Kuni, oh my god, how the fuck did
- 34:56we miss Kunis? Carl has Kuni, Whitney, Bonino,
- 34:58Hagin, Perron, Yarko, Roots, and Pedersen. Brock
- 35:01McGinn. Doomlin's there now, wow. Astin -Reyes,
- 35:04okay. Matt Cohen. Czar, yeah, you were writing
- 35:08the Czar. Max Imperriere. Carter Rooney. Sean
- 35:12Pronger. Dmitry Kulikov. Richard Parr. Dominic
- 35:15Simone. When did Stefan Knowsen play for us?
- 35:22Interesting. Oh my god. So funny story, ever
- 35:31since we sent Mike Rumpf for Guinness Little
- 35:33Pinsberg. Don't know that I don't know if you
- 35:35guys know this but I actually met and was able
- 35:38to talk to you my crop. Yeah, what was this?
- 35:42Six or seven years ago. All right when I first
- 35:44started working my current job and you know He
- 35:47came through my mind. I was like, oh my god.
- 35:49You're freaking my crop. He's yeah He's a big
- 35:52guy. He's a little bit because he coaches hockey
- 35:54here He actually coached my cousin's youth hockey
- 35:57team at one point. Oh, that's right. Yeah I think
- 36:00that's why every once in a while like you see
- 36:01on her stands are like bring my crap Like just
- 36:05bring the mic rub joke in it. Yeah, he's a big
- 36:08buy big big buy big big guy a couple inches taller
- 36:12than me He's really big. He's just a big dude.
- 36:14He's big. I know when he's not in Cuz every once
- 36:19in a while he does he still does for Pittsburgh
- 36:21the Broadcast and then or he'll do the intermission.
- 36:26Well, you know he's like he's part of the production
- 36:28like the product broadcasting team in uh sports
- 36:31at pittsburgh now so yeah but he he's a big couple
- 36:34for fans they have what tyler kennedy's here
- 36:36in here and there yeah there's one other guy
- 36:38that they've brought in that's been was it uh
- 36:40chris connor i think is another former penguin
- 36:43that's been in and out on that show i know chris
- 36:45connor is a former penguin but yeah i know he's
- 36:47been in and out on that show now they've got
- 36:48a bunch of former penguins and the they're doing
- 36:51it for pirates games too they brought in like
- 36:52a lot of former pirates to like help with Production
- 36:54on there too, which I think is I love that but
- 36:56they're doing so yeah, he's a big guy like he
- 36:59seems like he's really nice and like I wish at
- 37:01the time obviously that was well before we started
- 37:04doing this after the buck clusters Well before
- 37:07I know I met you Kyle when I was just starting
- 37:09to get the nobobo over here but like I wish I
- 37:12was able to start asking questions and Get his
- 37:15input in a couple things, but yeah, but funny
- 37:19little fun little insight Yeah, all right now.
- 37:22I'll jump into my NHL milestones here I've definitely
- 37:25been slacking on them, but I think I got a lot
- 37:27of like the major first goal or major milestones
- 37:29with these so Getting all the way back to the
- 37:3322nd Taylor Hall recorded his 700th career point
- 37:37with a goal against the Canucks Brandon Saad
- 37:40recorded his 500th career point also with a goal
- 37:43against the Jets Jared McCann becomes the first
- 37:46cracking player to reach a hundred goals for
- 37:49the team Kale Mccard becomes the leading scorer
- 37:53in powerplay points for a defenseman in franchise
- 37:55history. Anthony Mantha played in his 500th career
- 38:10game. And Connor Geeky of the Tampa Bay Lightning
- 38:13scored his first career point against the Devils.
- 38:21On the 24th the Bob Sergei Bobrowski recorded
- 38:25his 400th career win in a 3 to 1 win over Not
- 38:31the Panthers. I put the Panthers This one's for
- 38:34Ethan out there Ivan Ivan scored his first career
- 38:37goal against the Utah Hockey Club On the 25th.
- 38:41It's the greatest name ever dude in the 25th
- 38:45Nolan Allen of the Chicago Blackhawks recorded
- 38:47his first career point against the Predators.
- 38:51And then on 26, Connor Geeky recorded his first
- 38:54career goal scored against the Capitals. Maki
- 38:58Samsekevich of the Florida Panthers recorded
- 39:00his first career goal against the Islanders.
- 39:03And Arshdeep Bains of the Vancouver Canucks scored
- 39:06his first career goal against the Penguins. On
- 39:10the 27th, just one single one, Nikolai Kovalchenko
- 39:14scored his first career goal against the Senators.
- 39:17On the 20th, Jake Gensel recorded his 500th career
- 39:20point with an assist to a Nick Paul goal against
- 39:23the Predators. And Michael Pithia of the Columbus
- 39:27Blue Jackets recorded his first career goal against
- 39:29the Oilers. Emile Andre of the Philadelphia Flyers
- 39:33recorded his first career point with an assist
- 39:36to a Tyson Forester goal against the Boston Bruins.
- 39:40Zach Ostupchuk of the Ottawa Senators recorded
- 39:43his first career point. within an assist to a
- 39:46Noah Gregor goal. Brandon Montour recorded his
- 39:50first career hat -trick against the Montreal
- 39:52Canadiens, and Troy Terry scored his 100th career
- 39:55goal against the Islanders. The 30th, Kyle Connor
- 40:00recorded his 500th career point within an assist
- 40:03to a Gabe Velardi goal. Anze Kopotar recorded
- 40:06his 800th career assist against the Golden Knights.
- 40:10Michael Backlund played in his 1000th career
- 40:12game, and Maverick Lamarow, who scored his first
- 40:17career goal against the Flames. On the 31st,
- 40:20Will Smith of the San Jose Sharks scored his
- 40:22first two career goals against the Chicago Blackhawks.
- 40:26And on the 1st, Maverick Bork of the Dallas Stars
- 40:29scored his first career goal against the Panthers.
- 40:33And that is all four NHL milestones. Alright,
- 40:38before we get into the main topic here, I have
- 40:41two kind of, uh... Not really guessing games,
- 40:43it's just bragging rights, guesses, whatever.
- 40:47So first thing, obviously out of the lockout,
- 40:49Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, committed the league
- 40:52into the new era, today's era. Dave scored a
- 40:59goal x amount of days since they've committed
- 41:02the league. How many days have they scored on
- 41:07the same day? Crosby, yeah, I also best get the
- 41:12center Crosby. I've scored a goal on the same
- 41:14day this amount of times guess how many days
- 41:17and The 20 years they've been the leads it just
- 41:20doesn't have to be against each other. Just not
- 41:23now They've scored a goal in the same day. Yeah,
- 41:25like if they both scored a goal today They both
- 41:27scored a goal on Wednesday last week No, it doesn't
- 41:31doesn't matter how many times that they scored
- 41:33a goal in the same day, right? I'm pretty regular
- 41:37and postseason. All time. I might be way low,
- 41:50I might be way high, but I'm gonna go 300. I'll
- 41:55say maybe 150. I was gonna go with the lucky
- 42:00number, I was gonna say 187. Actually, Jeff is
- 42:04the closest. Wow. Jeff went with 150. The actual
- 42:09number? 120. Up until today as of recording on
- 42:15Sunday, November 3rd. The next thing, obviously
- 42:20with Crystal Tang playing in his 1100th career
- 42:24game last night on the second against Montreal
- 42:28nonetheless. Who do you think the top ten Four
- 42:34defensemen duos to factor on the same goal is.
- 42:39So like if they have, you know, one gets a goal,
- 42:41one gets an assist, both get an assist, whatever.
- 42:44Top ten players active. Defensemen or like defensemen
- 42:49with their forward? Defensemen with their forward.
- 42:51You have four defensemen duos to factor on the
- 42:54same goal. Notes, these are all actively playing
- 42:57in the NHL. Some of them aren't playing on the
- 42:59same team anymore, but they are still active
- 43:01in the league. Roughly bad. I'm gonna go McCarver
- 43:04cannon. They are Really too new the year number
- 43:10seven and 186 us the headman and stem coasts
- 43:15or saw or kucherov I Stem coasts and headmen
- 43:21are number five Kucherov ahead of it are number
- 43:23four. You got to add 222 and cross be the tank.
- 43:27They're number one and three or five So yeah,
- 43:31Stan Kroos the headman at number 5 at... Stan
- 43:34Kroos the headman at number 5 at 222, Kucherov
- 43:39the headman at 243, and Kravtsov the headman
- 43:42at number 1 at 305. I'm trying to think of any
- 43:45capitals defensemen to Ovi. Carlson? Number 3
- 43:50at 247. Maybe go back to like Mike Green? Well,
- 43:54that is the only capitals. What about Semon?
- 43:56Was he a defenseman? No, he was a forward. That
- 43:58was the only capitals due on there. Okay. So
- 44:01you're still missing two, six, eight, nine, and
- 44:04ten. Nurse and McDavid, but I think Nurse is
- 44:06offensive. Nope. Okay. That's not a bad guess
- 44:08though. That's not a horrible guess. Yeah, that's
- 44:10not a bad guess. Nurse is a defenseman. Okay.
- 44:13That was a great Keith and Kane. Is Nurse in
- 44:17any one of them? Like Nurse in... Nope. There
- 44:22is only one Canadian team on here, and they're
- 44:25not Imminton. Okay. Riley Matthews or Riley Marner?
- 44:31Nope. No? I'm trying to think for Nashville,
- 44:36because who... Because I know Roman Yoshi, and
- 44:40I'm trying to think who would benefit as top...
- 44:43Top partner. Yeah. Top points -getter. Dorsberg?
- 44:48Correct, they are number seven. Teamwork on that
- 44:50one, teamwork on that one. They're number seven
- 44:52and 166. So are we missing? Or eight, sorry,
- 44:54they're eight. So you're missing two, six, nine,
- 44:58and 10. Okay. Is there another one with Crosby?
- 45:04No. Okay. Not with Crosby specifically. With
- 45:11Teng Malkin? Yep, they're number six and 201.
- 45:14So you're missing two, nine, and 10. Okay. I
- 45:18was thinking either, um, Petangelo and Marsha
- 45:24Show or? Nope. You got the only national one
- 45:29on there with Forrest Brogan. You'll see. Okay.
- 45:31Well, the last three still team. That was Vegas.
- 45:34That was actually Vegas I was thinking of. Number
- 45:36two is number nine. All of them are. All three
- 45:39of them are still teammates to this day. They
- 45:41are still teammates to this day as of recording.
- 45:49One of them is currently on IR. They're defensive
- 45:55partners on IR. Let me put it this way. My guess
- 45:58would be like somebody from the Rangers like
- 46:01Adam Fox and Ben Aaron? That is number 10. Oh!
- 46:07At 144. So you're missing two and nine. Okay.
- 46:12You're missing the one Canadian team as well.
- 46:15I'm trying to think of that. Would it be like
- 46:17Toronto? Nope. Nope. I guess for like two or
- 46:21nine would be the other one. I'm going I'm thinking
- 46:24Boston like Chara Bergeron. Nope. No. Um. Hence
- 46:31they're both Western Conference. Okay never mind.
- 46:37Was Chicago in there or was I close when I said
- 46:39King? No Chicago. Okay. So I was thinking maybe
- 46:42Keith Tate. I have another hint if we go another
- 46:46meter or two without any good guesses. It wouldn't,
- 46:55I don't think auto, I don't think it'd be like...
- 46:56Is it LA? No. Copetar and... Oh my god. Doughty.
- 47:03Yes. Yep. They are... There you go, good job.
- 47:05They are number two at 304. So you're just missing
- 47:09number nine. Number nine. How many do they have?
- 47:12162 162. Okay. This is the Canadian team. I don't
- 47:16think it'd be Ottawa. I don't think it'd be like
- 47:18Kachuk and anybody. Well again, they were both
- 47:19Western Conference. Oh, that's right. Okay, so
- 47:21you only have Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver.
- 47:25Vancouver, Calgary. Calgary's too yammy. They've
- 47:29gotten rid of all their main guys. Is it Chifley
- 47:36and Morrissey? Nope. Just think of this number.
- 47:4725. Is he right on down on theirs? No. No, okay.
- 47:5225. Blake? No. 25. Like a jersey number? No.
- 48:00Oh, could be. I don't know the jersey. Is it
- 48:03the two numbers that I was gonna say they add
- 48:05up? But I'm not gonna call specific for you because
- 48:0825. One of the players is 25 years old I don't
- 48:13know if the one's 25 but oh 45 years old but
- 48:18They're in the same division as LA So it'd be
- 48:29Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary As he already said
- 48:33it's not Edmonton so it's Vancouver, Calgary
- 48:38You guys give up? At home? No, that's the wrong
- 48:40game. Let's say Bessar and Quinn Hughes? No.
- 48:48Pederson and Quinn Hughes? No. Fuck! JT Minerva
- 48:52and Quinn Hughes. God damn it! You know why he
- 48:54said 25? It's because of any shot 25 with Quinn
- 48:58Hughes. That was your hands. Yeah, JT Minerva
- 49:01and Quinn Hughes at 152. They ranked number 9.
- 49:05That was a good one. Me and Jeff tag -teamed
- 49:08the UFC one. So we all jumped in for that. That's
- 49:13good. I like that. That's a fun one. Yeah, that
- 49:15was a lot of fun. If I'm able to find more things
- 49:18like that, then I will. No, you should do, every
- 49:21episode you should do like a hockey brain game.
- 49:24Like that. That could be like your new segment
- 49:26or something. This will be something I discuss
- 49:29off the air. um here here eventually so call
- 49:33it colin's confusion yeah eventually all right
- 49:36for our next little we have a couple little mini
- 49:38main topics here nothing nothing like a huge
- 49:41like 30 minute main but just a couple little
- 49:43like a couple more mini games and then we'll
- 49:44end off by talking about honoring mr mark andrea
- 49:48flurry here talk about our favorite moments from
- 49:49him but here a little segment that i came up
- 49:51with myself this is all credit to the empty netters
- 49:54podcast you can find them on spotify uh apple
- 49:57music almost you know, podcasts, platforms. I
- 50:01saw a video that they did on TikTok, which I
- 50:03believe is a clip from one of their podcasts.
- 50:05They did this little thing called NHL Connection
- 50:08Wave. I can't remember exactly what they called
- 50:09it. Connective Tissue. Connective Tissue. Thank
- 50:11you. The example for like a movie that you would
- 50:14use, that they use was The Empire Strikes Back
- 50:16to the Future. You know, and then you give a
- 50:19description to try to describe both of them into
- 50:21one. And then the one that they used for hockey
- 50:24was Scott Stephen Stamkos. So you can go ahead
- 50:27and watch their video, go check out their TikTok
- 50:29page, go check out their podcast. They're one
- 50:30of my favorite podcasts personally right now.
- 50:33Along with football with Ben Roethlisberger too.
- 50:35That's one of my two favorite podcasts that I
- 50:37listen to right now. But shout out to both of
- 50:39y 'all. Another one of y 'all probably gonna
- 50:41listen. So I came up with three. The first one
- 50:44is probably the easiest one. And then the next
- 50:47two get a little bit tougher. So, first. Playing
- 50:51for the same Canadian team for the entirety of
- 50:53my young career thus far. My team has yet to
- 50:55make it to a Stanley Cup final yet. Then, playing
- 51:00for the same Canadian team for the entirety of
- 51:02my young career thus far, I won't argue arguably
- 51:05the most prestigious award in hockey, although
- 51:07not winning a cup yet. Not winning a cup yet.
- 51:12Kyle calling McDavid. Yep. Kyle calling McDavid.
- 51:17That's a little bit easier. Alright, next one.
- 51:22Despite being an early first round draft pick
- 51:25and having a decent amount of personal success
- 51:27early in my career I do not have a ring although
- 51:30my team won one while I was still in juniors
- 51:33Despite being in a first overall pick. I may
- 51:36have not lived up to that exactly But have also
- 51:40had early success success in my early career
- 51:43My team has had a lot of playoff success including
- 51:45a cup finals visit in which we lost First, despite
- 51:55being an early first round draft pick and having
- 51:58a decent amount of personal success early in
- 52:00my career, I do not have a ring, although my
- 52:03team did win. I don't think that's right. I don't
- 52:08think it's supposed to be that they won, but
- 52:11maybe, but that they made it stay like a finals
- 52:14appearance while he was still in juniors. And
- 52:17then despite being a first overall pick, I may
- 52:20have not lived up to that exactly, but have also
- 52:22had success early in my career, my team having
- 52:25a lot of playoff success, including a cup finals
- 52:27visit in which we lost. Six players are no longer
- 52:51playing Yes, I was right I'll go one more time
- 53:17because I was right in my Despite being an early
- 53:20first round pick and having a decent amount of
- 53:23personal success early in my career I do not
- 53:25have a ring although my team did win one while
- 53:28I was still in juniors Then despite being the
- 53:31first overall draft pick I may not have quite
- 53:34lived up to that exactly but I have also had
- 53:36personal success early in my career My team having
- 53:40a lot of playoff success including a cup finals
- 53:42visit in which we lost I don't know if I... I
- 54:04have some that I don't know the first part of
- 54:06it, but I think I have the second part of it
- 54:07if someone could might be able to help me. What
- 54:09do you think the second part is about? Probably
- 54:11like Philip Forsberg? Because the first thing
- 54:13I thought was like Nashville and they lost it
- 54:14next week. Okay. Bobby Ryan Nugent Hopkins. Bobby
- 54:58Ryan was drafted by the Ducks. They won the cup
- 54:59in 2006 while he was still playing in juniors
- 55:02in the O. Can't remember what team he played
- 55:04for, but yeah, his team, he was still playing
- 55:07in the O when the Ducks had won the cup when
- 55:08he was drafted. I think he was the second or
- 55:11third overall pick in Crowley's draft. And then
- 55:13Nugent Hopkins was the first overall pick, obviously
- 55:15playing for the Oilers who just lost the cup.
- 55:17this past year. I don't think he's played the
- 55:19first overall pick, but he's had a decent amount
- 55:22of success in his career. And the third and final
- 55:26one. Although being the best player on my team,
- 55:29this year is just my first as the team's captain,
- 55:33being behind a former London Knights player.
- 55:37Then, although being one of the best players
- 55:39on my team, I have yet to be named even an alternate
- 55:42captain being behind the same former London Knights
- 55:45player. Although being the best player on my
- 56:07team, this year is just my first as my team's
- 56:10captain, previously being behind a former London
- 56:13Knights player. Although being one of the best
- 56:17players on my team, I have yet to be named even
- 56:20an alternate captain, being behind that same
- 56:23former London Knights player. No, but nobody
- 56:45has to do with John Tavares. John Tavares is
- 56:47that London Knights player that I'm talking about.
- 56:49Okay. Okay. Where did Tavares play previously?
- 56:54The Islanders. Bless you. Thank you. Who's arguably
- 57:10one of the better players on the Islanders that
- 57:12doesn't even have a letter? You got it. No, I
- 57:16understand he has a letter. Nielsen has a letter.
- 57:23Matt Martin's not even out there anymore. That's
- 57:29the thing is the islanders are so fucking boring
- 57:30it's hard to keep track of anyone. It shocked
- 57:33me when I found out that this player didn't have
- 57:35a letter. You guys have the first part. You guys
- 57:49are right on the Austin Matthew part. You meant
- 57:59the Tavares part? No, John Tavares is not part
- 58:02of the name. No. He was the London Knights player
- 58:04that I'm referring to. So Austin Matthew Plank.
- 58:10Or Matthew Splank. Matthew Kachak? No. Sorry,
- 58:17that was the first method I thought of. That's
- 58:19one that I almost did though, but I couldn't
- 58:21think of a way to like correlate the two. That
- 58:23was the first method I thought of. Matthew...
- 58:30It's good now! Again, the Anders is just so fucking
- 58:47boring. They are. Austin Matthew Barzal. Fuck!
- 58:56I thought he had a letter! That's a thing! So
- 58:58did I, but apparently, I looked up Anders' captains,
- 59:01he's not enlisted as an alternate. Wow. It's
- 59:05funny, because that name kept cycling in my head.
- 59:07I'm like, there's no way that's gonna be right.
- 59:08Austin Matthews, obviously played in Toronto,
- 59:11was the alternate captain behind John Tavares,
- 59:13who was their captain for multiple years. And
- 59:15early on in his career, when Tavares was still
- 59:17over in the Islanders, Barzell played below him,
- 59:20where Tavares was the captain of the Islanders.
- 59:23Tavares played for the Londonites. That's where
- 59:25I correlated the former Londonites player into
- 59:27that. When you said Matthews, immediately a red
- 59:30light went off. I'm like, it's awesome, Matthews.
- 59:32And I thought to myself, that can't be right.
- 59:34Because I thought Matthew was the first name.
- 59:36I'm like, that can't be right. Bobby Ryan Nugent
- 59:39-Hopkins, which, yeah, you got the calconia,
- 59:42McDavid, which I said that was the easier one.
- 59:43to get you guys ready for it. That was good.
- 59:47Yeah, it's just that first part. It's confusing,
- 59:51like, the body, like... Which one was confusing?
- 59:55Like, where you just get the first, like, first
- 59:57name, whatever. Yeah, all you mean, yeah, like
- 59:59I said, it's like, all you have to do is just
- 1:00:01connect the names. Like, it doesn't always have
- 1:00:03to be like, if it's a plural last name, that
- 1:00:05doesn't mean the first name of the next player
- 1:00:06is always going to be plural. Like the Austin
- 1:00:08Matthews, you're not going to find somebody with
- 1:00:09the first name of Matthews, like plural. You
- 1:00:12might find Matthew. Yeah, typically like the
- 1:00:15middle part won't always be plural. If they have
- 1:00:19a plural last name, it won't always be plural.
- 1:00:22As long as it has the same structure. Matthews
- 1:00:25versus Matthews. The first two just happened
- 1:00:27to work out with Bobby, Ryan, Nugent Hopkins,
- 1:00:29and then Kyle, Connor, McDavid. Yeah, see, that's
- 1:00:31where I wouldn't have gotten it because of the
- 1:00:33first part is Bobby, Nugent. I would have gotten
- 1:00:37Connor, McDavid, for instance. I would have gotten
- 1:00:40that by wouldn't have gotten Kyle. Kind of confusing
- 1:00:44yeah, but the more you did it this you start
- 1:00:46to get the hang of it It's tough, but it's something
- 1:00:48I thought we could do if you guys liked it Maybe
- 1:00:50I can come up with some more. We'll do this next
- 1:00:52episode. Yeah, but uh, yeah All right guys One
- 1:00:58of our little topics here. We're gonna pay an
- 1:01:00homage to flurry Just being his last potential
- 1:01:03game was played Tuesday, and we're just gonna
- 1:01:05kind of show last game in Pittsburgh last game
- 1:01:07in Pittsburgh Yes, sorry So we said it would
- 1:01:11be kind of fun just to do a personal favorite
- 1:01:13little moments I have three my first one is this
- 1:01:15hockey bag prank. Oh Wait, just recently. No,
- 1:01:19yeah. Yeah, I forget who's I think his DLC. Yeah
- 1:01:23No, that was early career cuz that was that's
- 1:01:30yeah that that was I know the video didn't talk.
- 1:01:34Yeah, and that was Kobe all Armstrong Was it?
- 1:01:37Okay. So that was way back in the day when, you
- 1:01:40know, Fer and Crosby's first couple seasons played
- 1:01:44together. So I know exactly what you're talking
- 1:01:48about. My second one is after the cup, him passing
- 1:01:52the cup to Matt Murray. Okay, yeah. Oh, I guess
- 1:01:55as a passing the torch, like, hey, you're the
- 1:01:57new official number one goaltender here. That
- 1:02:00was really cool. I'm like, that definitely, I
- 1:02:02have a soft spot in that one. The last one. What
- 1:02:06was it? 0 -9, 0 -10 to save to win the Stanley
- 1:02:08Cup? That's one of them that I had. I forget
- 1:02:12who it was against, I just remember the scrawl.
- 1:02:14Detroit, Nick Van Strum, wide open net, he scrawled
- 1:02:17over. I remember there was a, he made the comment
- 1:02:21where he had this big old, you know, black bruise
- 1:02:23on his ribs where the shot hit him. It was actually,
- 1:02:26what's kind of funny, kind of, out and watching
- 1:02:29the game against Pitt just this past Tuesday,
- 1:02:32like... that one towards the end of the game
- 1:02:34where it was cut i kind of immediately thought
- 1:02:37about that save immediately because he kind of
- 1:02:39did something very similar just a diet diving
- 1:02:42i think but i think he was like more butterfly
- 1:02:44more than like just up i think he was more a
- 1:02:46little bit lower into the butterfly and just
- 1:02:47kind of like go over it but you still have the
- 1:02:50reminiscence of that save i know between you
- 1:02:54know 08 09 season and 24 25 season I can just,
- 1:02:59I still hear that Mike Lang call for that. Or
- 1:03:02not Mike Lang, sorry, Mike Emmerich call on that
- 1:03:05save. I can still hear that to this day and it's
- 1:03:08chills. To this day, I think that's definitely
- 1:03:11by far my number one. I remember watching the
- 1:03:15game as a kid. I remember the sprawl and I just
- 1:03:17couldn't, it's real foggy. I remember the sprawl
- 1:03:20and I remember everybody went bastard crazy and
- 1:03:22I didn't really know what happened. And my dad's
- 1:03:25like, dude, we won. I'm like. Oh! We did! That's
- 1:03:32back when gold tenders didn't have to be flexible
- 1:03:34though, right? Fuck you. Listen here, I'm fat
- 1:03:38and I'm flexible. Am I a gold tender pro or what?
- 1:03:41You're not flexible, you're just stupid. I'm
- 1:03:43not flexible, I'm giddy. But close enough. I'll
- 1:03:46probably break both my ankles just trying to
- 1:03:48skate. Yo, don't break the skates before you
- 1:03:51break that ankle! I'm going to give you a fucking
- 1:03:59and jumping on the ice for his first shift is
- 1:04:02Bobo and he broke his ankles. I swear to God.
- 1:04:04He broke his ankles. He broke the skates. He
- 1:04:06broke the ice. He broke the bench door even though
- 1:04:10he wasn't standing on the bench door. I will
- 1:04:11give all three of you a swirly in the toilet
- 1:04:13upstairs. He broke just every person's mind doing
- 1:04:17what he does. Give me McGee. They didn't actually
- 1:04:22demolish. The Eagles, Bobo just stepped inside
- 1:04:25of it. Bobo came in like a wrecking ball, he
- 1:04:29was saying. I mean, shit, I have double dudes,
- 1:04:32I'm going to have to be a stripper or something,
- 1:04:33so. Jeff, what was one of your favorite fire
- 1:04:36moments? Obviously, my number one was obviously,
- 1:04:38my number one actually was what Bobo just said,
- 1:04:42the game -saving, game seven flurry save against
- 1:04:47Detroit, no 809. Other one was just in general.
- 1:04:52Like the two times I've gone to actually watch
- 1:04:55flurry play live. So I think it's just kind of
- 1:04:58incredible to see Flurry actually all that one
- 1:05:01the same he made against us. Yeah You Fox I Said
- 1:05:07so yeah the two times I've seen flurry play live
- 1:05:10on He played a little bit in the preseason game
- 1:05:14that I went to at my very first penguins game
- 1:05:17against Columbus in 2014 and obviously the game
- 1:05:21Colin, Kyle and I went to two seasons ago which
- 1:05:27we actually have if you haven't seen that video
- 1:05:29we have a vlog of that video of our reaction
- 1:05:32live reaction shortly after the save was made
- 1:05:34obviously there's so many flurry I can't tell
- 1:05:41you how many I think the one that always gets
- 1:05:45me like teary -eyed every time I watch it is
- 1:05:49his tribute with his first time back in Pittsburgh
- 1:05:51his first like when he was with it when he yeah
- 1:05:54that one gets me teary -eyed all the time man
- 1:05:56with Vegas that one always gives me goosebumps
- 1:05:58and he was trying to wipe away the tears like
- 1:06:01I'm not crying you're crying but like every time
- 1:06:03the camera showed him during that like he's like
- 1:06:05he's spraying water on his face to make it look
- 1:06:07like he wasn't like that it was water that he
- 1:06:09wasn't crying but the camera caught him squirting
- 1:06:12the water all over his face I think that's This
- 1:06:16one goose like a goose bump kind of moment here.
- 1:06:19Yeah, I like just yeah You know that that that
- 1:06:22loss so far that we lost to him this past week
- 1:06:24like that's that's the only loss so far the season
- 1:06:26that I've been okay with I even said that to
- 1:06:29after the game like because I was watching my
- 1:06:32mother She's like six game like yeah, I'm told
- 1:06:35her honestly. I don't I'm not mad about doesn't
- 1:06:38lost It's the only one that I'm a been okay with
- 1:06:40so I'm like it was flurry. I'm like like Just
- 1:06:44in yeah, that just tells you how much flurries
- 1:06:47one of my favorite ones is kind of a funny one
- 1:06:51I think this was like his first or second year
- 1:06:53in Vegas. I do remember the time where he Went
- 1:06:56through snow into his crease. Yeah. Yeah, so
- 1:06:59he's trying to shoot into the empty net It wouldn't
- 1:07:00make it it would slow down and the ref went over
- 1:07:03and cleaned it up and went over the bench and
- 1:07:04said Hey, you can't do that After the rest gets
- 1:07:07we just shows him like hiding his face like laughing
- 1:07:09his ass off thought it was how funny shit ever
- 1:07:13he tried it was worth a shot gotta give the man
- 1:07:17respect for trying a lot of the articles I've
- 1:07:19read the last few weeks everyone said he was
- 1:07:21a prankster like that whether on or off the ice
- 1:07:24that being then the prank that he did I think
- 1:07:26it was just like last year or two years ago in
- 1:07:27Crosby he taped up his entire fucking gear into
- 1:07:32one big ball And as soon as he walked in, he
- 1:07:35goes, God damn it, Fyre got me. He didn't say
- 1:07:38God damn it, he's like, I can see Fyre got me.
- 1:07:42Fyre just went and he goes, what happened, bud?
- 1:07:46And then he doesn't realize, but he grabs the
- 1:07:48helmet and then something else falls out of the
- 1:07:49helmet. Two of my favorite things is, I forget
- 1:07:54which teammate he did this to, but he took like
- 1:07:5610 tootsie rolls. and shoved them all the way
- 1:07:59into the fingertips and like the player couldn't
- 1:08:01get his glove all the way on but you know and
- 1:08:04it's at the point now where like he couldn't
- 1:08:06get them out because you can only fit one finger
- 1:08:08in there so like he had to get new gloves afterwards
- 1:08:11because he couldn't get the fucking toasty rolls
- 1:08:14out the other one I remember and I watched this
- 1:08:17video not so long ago it was back in the 15 -16
- 1:08:21season you know shortly after they acquired you
- 1:08:25know the players like Eric Fair, Carl Hag, Justin
- 1:08:30Schultz. I think Schultz was the last acquisition
- 1:08:36that he got. I think he was mid -season. Out
- 1:08:39of the three fairs that I just named. Colin,
- 1:08:42Benino, Fair, Schultz, Haggie, Kessel. We're
- 1:08:47all, like, pre -beginning of the season. Well,
- 1:08:50no, Schultz was mid -season. Schultz was closer
- 1:08:54to the deadline. I think it was more like January
- 1:08:55time. Anyways, not part of it. Anyway, I think
- 1:08:59Schultz's first practice with the Penguins, they
- 1:09:03were doing a PPG, not a cranberry, but a PPG,
- 1:09:06and I don't know how Fleury did it, but he arranged
- 1:09:09with some of the equipment staff to tape up Schultz's
- 1:09:14suit or his street clothes for the day, and they
- 1:09:17hung it from the rafters and said, this one is
- 1:09:20for you, new guy. and you know everyone was looking
- 1:09:24up like okay how is he gonna get this down you
- 1:09:26know what's gonna happen so uh you know being
- 1:09:30able to pull those you know little pranks like
- 1:09:31okay i i had a hand in this but i didn't do like
- 1:09:34the final i didn't pull the trigger on this one
- 1:09:36pretty much oh another one i liked was i forget
- 1:09:39who is the thing was Armstrong and fewer they
- 1:09:43were I forget where they were at for one of their
- 1:09:46days. They're in a hotel. They take all the furs
- 1:09:49out of the hotel. Yeah. Love Joey. And it was
- 1:09:52one of the newbies at the time. But he even set
- 1:09:55the alarm to the exact time, too. Like when most
- 1:09:59of the team was out, I think Flurrie was one
- 1:10:02of them. And one of the other friends, but I
- 1:10:03don't remember who it was. But he set everything
- 1:10:07to a tee like he didn't do it. And for us to
- 1:10:10stay in the car like I didn't do this They're
- 1:10:13like we'll get him back like more than likely
- 1:10:16not. Oh, no love Joey and the test you yes Yeah,
- 1:10:21he did that to those two players and they cross
- 1:10:24you like I'm not gonna point fingers But I'm
- 1:10:27pretty damn sure who did this Another one of
- 1:10:32mine just the entire I believe the entire second
- 1:10:35round against Washington in 2017 The second time
- 1:10:39third third time I guess but the second back
- 1:10:41of back -to -back times against Washington in
- 1:10:43the second round Just flurries performance throughout
- 1:10:45that entire series I think Steve Dangle talks
- 1:10:48about this back in that video where he recaps
- 1:10:50that series back in 2017 like The penguins got
- 1:10:54outshot in every single game of that series Out
- 1:10:58of like 22 periods of hockey that were played
- 1:11:00in that series penguins were outshot in 17 of
- 1:11:03them And just because of that Flurry still managed
- 1:11:06to win four of those seven games. Especially
- 1:11:09game seven was one of the most ridiculous games
- 1:11:11I think he's ever played his entire career. Just
- 1:11:14absolutely ridiculous that entire game. Speaking
- 1:11:17of game seven's second round against the Capitals.
- 1:11:21The first time they ever matched up back in 2009
- 1:11:24and ruined the first cup. The same. Against OV.
- 1:11:29Just a couple minutes into the game. OV versus
- 1:11:33Flower. You know, Ovi ended up beating, I think
- 1:11:36it was Rob Scuderi at the time. And Hal Flurry
- 1:11:39flashed the leather there, and he changed the
- 1:11:42momentum of the game. Pretty much let them know,
- 1:11:47hey, this is how this game's going tonight. Because
- 1:11:49I believe that was just a couple minutes into
- 1:11:51the first period. Yeah, he was like, I know he's
- 1:11:53your stellar coach. Because I think we probably
- 1:11:54would have been watching his first actual real
- 1:11:57scoring chance. Yeah, I know this is your top
- 1:12:00scorer. He has a rigorous shot, but like... I'm
- 1:12:04gonna tell you I'm gonna get you I'm gonna debate
- 1:12:06of the game and obviously you did you know with
- 1:12:08the Penguins win in 62 that game on furry shoulders,
- 1:12:11so yeah You know just another smaller funny one
- 1:12:16that comes to mind is I think this is also pretty
- 1:12:19pretty early in in his career cuz I'm Max Talbot
- 1:12:21was still on the team so this was probably early
- 1:12:242010s um flowers doing like a postgame interview
- 1:12:28i remember he's sitting there fucking shirtless
- 1:12:29he's doing doing a postgame interview next talbot
- 1:12:31sitting next to oh yeah speaking french and talbot
- 1:12:34is Translating quote translating for him. That's
- 1:12:37right. And now there's talking like yeah guys
- 1:12:40meet shots and I need to he goes That's not what
- 1:12:41I said. Yeah You know the guys had wonderful
- 1:12:44shots wonderful wonderful opportunities, but
- 1:12:47I just came out and made the big saves I know
- 1:12:49that video I haven't seen I totally forgot about
- 1:12:52that. It's been a while since but I remember
- 1:12:53that. He laughs cause he goes that's not what
- 1:12:55I said Hold on. Let me see if I can pull that
- 1:12:59up here. Now that you said I do remember that
- 1:13:02it's just been a long time since I've seen a
- 1:13:06Yeah, that's that one's been in my mind for a
- 1:13:08while but Just mark Mark Andre Flurry man gonna
- 1:13:12go down. It's probably Honestly, I personally
- 1:13:15think he might have beaten out Lundquist and
- 1:13:17price as probably the best goaltender about oh,
- 1:13:19yes here we go here we go When you were at the
- 1:13:39office, we were playing and we were looking at
- 1:13:41the table. I thought we played pretty good. The
- 1:13:46guys kept scoring and I just made big saves.
- 1:14:08And just think that the friendship, the kinship
- 1:14:10between Talbot and Flurry. Like both of them
- 1:14:15were playing for Pittsburgh and when it was,
- 1:14:17you know, the Flyers and Penguins match up in
- 1:14:202012, 2013, when Talbot was on the Flyers. As
- 1:14:25much as they fucking hated each other off the
- 1:14:27ice just to see how close they were, I think
- 1:14:29Talbot would come up and make a couple of chirps.
- 1:14:35The one I was thinking of my favorite I think
- 1:14:39that we mentioned was Bobo talking about the
- 1:14:41passing to Matt Murray. That one I didn't think
- 1:14:43of and I really like that one. Passing the torch
- 1:14:47quote unquote. Like, hey, this is your team now.
- 1:14:50Didn't last very long. Dumb decision, but hey,
- 1:14:54here we are. Didn't last very long. That was
- 1:14:58a good one, Bobo. I like that one. We could sit
- 1:15:03here forever just talking about my country 30
- 1:15:06moments, but that that's one of them just his
- 1:15:09helmet Let's save with Vegas a couple years ago
- 1:15:12He didn't care how he looks he's like I'm just
- 1:15:14gonna make this goddamn save right now You can
- 1:15:28just by watching every time Flurry not even what
- 1:15:31doesn't matter the team whether it was Vegas
- 1:15:33Chicago Minnesota every single time he was back
- 1:15:36in that building Doesn't matter what jersey he
- 1:15:38was wearing the crowd starts a flurry chain at
- 1:15:40some point in the game We were losing and we
- 1:15:42just lost the game and they're still chanting
- 1:15:44his name, you know This is past week just the
- 1:15:46amount of respect that people have for a Penguins
- 1:15:49fan, you know, Minnesota Vegas, whatever Like,
- 1:15:53I don't, who gives a fuck who you cheer for?
- 1:15:55You always had the map. Flurry's one of those
- 1:15:56players, like, I don't think, even on Twitter,
- 1:15:58and Twitter's one of the most toxic places you're
- 1:16:00ever gonna find, on the social media, in the
- 1:16:02real life, wherever. That's like one name that
- 1:16:05I don't think I've ever seen anybody say anything
- 1:16:09negative about. I'm gonna send a link to the
- 1:16:11group chat, and it's 15 minutes of Marc -Andre
- 1:16:16Flurry's best saves. Definitely probably going
- 1:16:22to go down as one of my favorite players of all
- 1:16:24time. I don't care how much fucking money it
- 1:16:26is. I would hope and assume the Penguins would
- 1:16:29retire his jersey at some point and I would like
- 1:16:31to be at that game. I know we've been to one,
- 1:16:34let's do another. Let's do another. Do another
- 1:16:37goaltender. So when do you think they put him
- 1:16:40in the hole? He's gonna be first ballot first
- 1:16:43he's gonna be a first ballot here. He'll be asked
- 1:16:46He'll be he'll be qualified 2028 because it's
- 1:16:49not think it's even it's even three or four years
- 1:16:50after you retire I think the only period that's
- 1:16:57an exception is Mario Mute, but obviously he
- 1:17:01came out of retirement after He went to the Hall
- 1:17:04of Fame Flurry will be a first ballad 100%. So
- 1:17:08he'll be in the Hall of Fame by 2028. It might
- 1:17:11be four years, five years. So 2028, 29, even
- 1:17:1427, it might be three years. But somewhere between
- 1:17:17like 27 to 29, 30. It'll be 28 as the earliest.
- 1:17:21Is it four years? Well, it's three years from
- 1:17:24the last game you played, which should be in
- 1:17:2625. So it'll be at the very earliest, 2028. That
- 1:17:31ballad, whenever they release that. Yeah, but
- 1:17:35you damn know if he will be first about his number
- 1:17:37will be guaranteed more than likely. His number
- 1:17:40will be retired. I wouldn't doubt if they do
- 1:17:41it as early as next year. I don't think there's
- 1:17:44a limit on how long they've had to be retired
- 1:17:45before you can retire a number. So I don't think
- 1:17:47there's a limit on that. No, I think it just
- 1:17:50depends on the franchise. It's just Hall of Fame
- 1:17:52is a whole different story. I know we have an
- 1:17:54exciting one coming up here in Erie in January.
- 1:17:56Get into watch. mcdavid get his number retired
- 1:17:58in eerie i'm gonna try that's gonna be exciting
- 1:18:00it's almost sold out i already i already bought
- 1:18:03my ticket so yeah it was like twice the amount
- 1:18:06of a normal i played almost 45 i'll pay one of
- 1:18:09y 'all for my ticket I mean, if it's sold out,
- 1:18:13it's sold out. It's a blackout game, so even
- 1:18:15Jeffy and I can't play it. Oh, okay. That's almost
- 1:18:18sold out. Yeah, you have to buy your own ticket.
- 1:18:19Oh, that place is probably going to be standing
- 1:18:21room only. Oh, yeah. I can guarantee that. Oh,
- 1:18:23yeah. Sweets are going to be sold out. It's probably
- 1:18:25going to be a standing room only type of game
- 1:18:26there. I mean, the best player in the NHL is
- 1:18:29coming back to his junior team. Like, that's
- 1:18:32a big deal, so. Yeah, exciting night near coming
- 1:18:37up. A lot of, I think an exciting season. Free
- 1:18:40area coming up. It's going to come up sooner
- 1:18:42than what we realized. Considering right now
- 1:18:45it's November 2nd, 3rd. We might have to think
- 1:18:48about heading down there around 4 o 'clock to
- 1:18:50find parking. Worst case scenario, I mean it
- 1:18:54won't be the same experience. We can always watch
- 1:18:56about my voice. No, I'm going to another game.
- 1:19:00Bobo, go fuck yourself. I'm watching that game
- 1:19:02live. We will be there. I already bought my ticket.
- 1:19:07Listen, I'd have to be dead not to attend that
- 1:19:09game. So just a little bit over two months out
- 1:19:12from that. January 12th? Ten. Ten, yes. Just
- 1:19:15about two months out from that. Two months in
- 1:19:17a week. As of recording. Two months in a week
- 1:19:21from yesterday. Is it a Friday or is it a Saturday
- 1:19:23night? It's a Friday night. I can't even go.
- 1:19:26It's a Friday night. Unless I call, unless I
- 1:19:29request... But yeah, I believe the Oilers are
- 1:19:31in Pittsburgh the night before. And then the
- 1:19:34Oilers go out to play at Lake Chicago. On their
- 1:19:37left, yeah. Okay. So moving on. From this, again,
- 1:19:43another Samba moment with Floria. We can probably
- 1:19:46all agree, this is our NHL Bucket List. We have
- 1:19:49ten things on here. Most of us have done two.
- 1:19:52Two of us have done three. Or... Most of us have
- 1:19:57done one, two of us have done three. Number one,
- 1:20:02attend a game at all 32 arenas. Yes, that's one.
- 1:20:08Number two, get a game puck signed from a player.
- 1:20:12Or, not signed, from a player, sorry. Yeah, I
- 1:20:15mean like, come on, does that count? From NHL.
- 1:20:19Sorry, this is all NHL. Number three, get my
- 1:20:23jersey signed by the team. Four, attend a Stanley
- 1:20:29Cup final. Regardless of what teams are in it.
- 1:20:33Number five, get a hockey player's dick. Number
- 1:20:37six, we've all done this. I watch my team win
- 1:20:41the Stanley Cup. Seven, attend an NHL All -Star
- 1:20:45game. That'd be fun. Number eight, only two of
- 1:20:50us have done this. Take a photo with the Stanley
- 1:20:53Cup and I have fucking proof of it. Number nine,
- 1:20:59attend an outdoor game. That sounds to be pretty
- 1:21:01awesome. And number 10, again, only two of us
- 1:21:04have done this. Visit the Hockey Hall of Fame
- 1:21:07in Toronto. Again, only two of us have done this.
- 1:21:11So, Boa, we have bragging rights. Head five.
- 1:21:13Let's go, baby. And I definitely want to make
- 1:21:14it up to that. Honestly, I wouldn't mind pricing
- 1:21:17tickets for that game being played at Ohio at
- 1:21:20Buckeye Stadium this year. That's gonna be fucking
- 1:21:24expensive. I wouldn't mind pricing tickets, at
- 1:21:26least pricing tickets to see what they'd be.
- 1:21:28Even if they do another AHL now, I know I wanted
- 1:21:30to go to that Cleveland Monster one last year,
- 1:21:33but didn't end up being able to go, so. I'd say
- 1:21:36one of our season ticket friends, like they went
- 1:21:40to the Wilkes -Barre and Cleveland one. The guys
- 1:21:44right in front of us, I'm not gonna say their
- 1:21:46name on air, but like the people right in front
- 1:21:48of us. Yeah, our season ticket holder friends.
- 1:21:52Leave a lot of those around. I hope you know,
- 1:21:54yeah. Yeah, we have a lot of those specifically
- 1:21:56intersection, but like we have a lot of those
- 1:21:59around Yeah, it's a whole community at this point.
- 1:22:01I know that baby. They're trying to start like
- 1:22:03a whole fan club They're trying to get like a
- 1:22:04bus trip put together and stuff like that and
- 1:22:06which that'd be fun Yeah, I know I bring in the
- 1:22:09emails I don't know Jeff you can speak for the
- 1:22:11same but I've been getting emails on my phone
- 1:22:13from That the start or the fan club committee
- 1:22:17or whatever I have not because I'm not a season
- 1:22:20ticket holder this year for reasons, again, to
- 1:22:22not be announced, but. There's always next year.
- 1:22:28For sure we'll be coming back next year though,
- 1:22:30so. Positive vibes on me. Positive vibes on me.
- 1:22:32For sure we'll be coming back next year. Yeah,
- 1:22:34I'm gonna do, I mean I've been working, I'm gonna
- 1:22:35work a lot of overtime this year, so I'm gonna
- 1:22:37try to get season tickets. You can do payment
- 1:22:41plans too, you don't have to do it all at once.
- 1:22:42Well, I even thought about just doing Saturday
- 1:22:44night games, because I work every Friday. It's
- 1:22:46definitely cheaper, yeah. Even if I do Saturday
- 1:22:47night games, you guys will just have to send
- 1:22:49me your section. Oh no, why don't we go to 20
- 1:22:52games a year? All you gotta do is refer one of
- 1:22:54us. Either Jeff or I. And then whoever you talk
- 1:22:58to will set you up. I know Jeff and I go to different
- 1:23:02people, right? I go to Darcy. Okay, so when Kyle's
- 1:23:08the season ticket holder, he went to a different
- 1:23:09person, but Jeff and I go to the same person.
- 1:23:12I mean, when I was setting up ticket, I talked
- 1:23:14to Chad. Like when I was talking about changing
- 1:23:17my seat for a game, I would talk to Darcy. No,
- 1:23:19that's fine. I think, I mean, the initial process
- 1:23:22we went to different people, but the same thing,
- 1:23:25change tickets to Darcy. Yeah. I'll definitely
- 1:23:27have to talk to him once, you know. Yeah. But,
- 1:23:32Bubba, you good? Yeah, I'm good. Jeff, you good?
- 1:23:35Oh, Kyle, you good? I'm good. Oh, dear. You good,
- 1:23:40Bubba? You're not going to talk? He said something.
- 1:23:44When I picked him up. You good, bubba? He's good.
- 1:23:49He's just pissed that I picked him up. Okay,
- 1:23:51that's it for the night. We done. Social medias
- 1:23:54are out there. We don't have any plans to go
- 1:23:58to vlogs. Not yet. I have a couple ideas for
- 1:24:03some videos coming up here. It's been almost
- 1:24:04a year since we posted to YouTube, so we gotta
- 1:24:06get something up there. But nothing's set in
- 1:24:08stone as of yet. So we're not gonna make promises
- 1:24:10we can't keep. All right That'll do it. That'll
- 1:24:19do donkey that will do we done See you guys on
- 1:24:23the flip the flip. Peace out. Bye. See ya
