Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Then politics, there is something called the October surprise. That
- 0:06Speaker 1: October surprise can hit him many different ways. Sometimes it
- 0:10Speaker 1: hits presidential candidates, sometimes it hits campaign sometimes it'll hit
- 0:14Speaker 1: the VP candidate. And this morning it is hitting Minnesota
- 0:19Speaker 1: Governor Tim Walls.
- 0:22Speaker 2: What is the surprise he carried out?
- 0:25Speaker 1: Apparently a secret fleeing with the daughter of a Chinese
- 0:29Speaker 1: Communist Party official. The Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz reportedly had
- 0:34Speaker 1: a secret fleeing with the daughter of the Chinese Communist
- 0:36Speaker 1: Party official. This actually explains a lot of the you know,
- 0:39Speaker 1: traveling over to China. Jenawang, the daughter of Ben who
- 0:45Speaker 1: who had been an important Chinese Communist Party official and
- 0:49Speaker 1: served as the chairman of a labor union, told The
- 0:53Speaker 1: Daily Mail that the two of them carried out a
- 0:56Speaker 1: secret relationship where they were not allowed to touch or
- 0:59Speaker 1: kiss in public.
- 1:02Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Now, you may remember Tim walt had a interesting relationship
- 1:08Speaker 1: with China, spending a lot of time in China. Even
- 1:13Speaker 1: CNN talked about this relationship with China, and I want
- 1:18Speaker 1: you to.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Hear how they described it during the debates.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Miracles. I mean, all the polls show that this is
- 1:24Speaker 3: a type race. The latest scene in of poll of
- 1:27Speaker 3: polls shows no clear leader between between Harris and Trump.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Could this make a difference.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Traditionally VP debates and vice presidents don't make a difference.
- 1:36Speaker 4: But I would say an exception to that was Mike
- 1:38Speaker 4: Pence and Donald Trump's first campaign in twenty sixteen. He
- 1:41Speaker 4: was someone who helped him bring along evangelicals. Now he
- 1:44Speaker 4: doesn't need that support now, but he does need somebody
- 1:46Speaker 4: who can soften him with suburban women who give this
- 1:49Speaker 4: answer that I hear constantly. I can't stand Donald Trump.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I think he's a jerk, but my life was better
- 1:54Speaker 4: under him. I might have liked his policies better.
- 1:56Speaker 2: If jd.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Vance can show up tonight and give a kind of
- 1:59Speaker 4: finer touch to trump policies, put a little more detail
- 2:02Speaker 4: on than Trump has been capable of articulating.
- 2:05Speaker 5: That could be a win.
- 2:06Speaker 4: But this is a man with huge and favorabilities to
- 2:08Speaker 4: overcome one of the lowest and favorability rankings of a
- 2:11Speaker 4: modern vice president right now. So there's a lot of
- 2:14Speaker 4: Americans who think of him as the person who insulted
- 2:17Speaker 4: childless cat ladies. The task for him tonight is to
- 2:19Speaker 4: change that into show up like a Statesman David, I.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Mean the Waltz. I mean, certainly, Harris may excuse me.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Waltz has less experience debating, I think than Jade vanc
- 2:30Speaker 3: He's certainly he has been honing himself on Sunday shows.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Waltz has not been doing many interviews.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Look, I think that he was hired basically as Donald
- 2:38Speaker 7: Trump's designated hitter. Donald Trump is a casting director and
- 2:42Speaker 7: he was convinced that he would be good on TV
- 2:45Speaker 7: for him, and this debate is obviously the most important
- 2:48Speaker 7: television appearance there is. And you know he comes in.
- 2:52Speaker 7: We all know, having worked with Van Jones, how these
- 2:54Speaker 7: Yale educated lawyers.
- 2:56Speaker 8: Very slick, easy, You're going to get trigger wall.
- 3:02Speaker 7: But you know they have very different personalities. You know,
- 3:07Speaker 7: Vance is you know he is a bit predatory on
- 3:11Speaker 7: that debate platform and walt you know, his strength is
- 3:15Speaker 7: his warmth and his his everyday in this it's kind
- 3:18Speaker 7: of like a labrador versus a coyote, and the question
- 3:23Speaker 7: is people root for the labrador, but can you get
- 3:25Speaker 7: enough swipes and to keep the coyote off?
- 3:28Speaker 9: Like I am, I think JD. Vance is dangerous to debate.
- 3:33Speaker 9: First of all, you don't know which Jdvans you're going
- 3:35Speaker 9: to get. He's such a phony that he could either
- 3:38Speaker 9: be the phony Appalachia guy or he could be the
- 3:42Speaker 9: kind of sucked up that he was to get the
- 3:43Speaker 9: job with Donald Trump. We have build on with somebody
- 3:46Speaker 9: this high IQ, low integrity, high IQ, low empathy, high IQ,
- 3:51Speaker 9: but really no willing to hurt Haitian children to get ahead.
- 3:55Speaker 9: Will it changed his whole personality to get a position
- 3:57Speaker 9: with Donald Trump? That is the dangerous person for a
- 4:00Speaker 9: good man to debate somebody who actually is going to
- 4:02Speaker 9: be constrained by facts, is going to be constrained by
- 4:05Speaker 9: his desire to be a unifier. So I think it's
- 4:08Speaker 9: going to be a tough night for a coach Waltz
- 4:11Speaker 9: to show that good guys can win even against low,
- 4:14Speaker 9: low integrity.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Pop, you're just trying to lower expectations because a lot
- 4:17Speaker 3: of because some Democrats are parised.
- 4:19Speaker 9: No, no, no, I wouldn't want to debate somebody.
- 4:21Speaker 6: Look.
- 4:21Speaker 9: First of all, I wouldn't yell lawyer, Look I look,
- 4:24Speaker 9: I would just go with.
- 4:24Speaker 2: People like JD.
- 4:25Speaker 9: Vans who just want to get a head no matter what,
- 4:27Speaker 9: he will say anything, do anything. Those people are tough
- 4:29Speaker 9: to debate. I used to lose debates with them all
- 4:30Speaker 9: the time.
- 4:31Speaker 3: You know, Scott, there's the CBS pull the VP picks
- 4:34Speaker 3: finds Democrats are more enthusiastic about Waltz, the Republicans are
- 4:38Speaker 3: about penn sixty percent.
- 4:40Speaker 8: I mean, look, what more do you need to know
- 4:43Speaker 8: about Donald Trump? He's been running for president since twenty fifteen,
- 4:46Speaker 8: he was the president. We know everything we need to
- 4:49Speaker 8: know about him. Which is why I don't think whether
- 4:51Speaker 8: Vance wins or loses this debate is going to have
- 4:54Speaker 8: a material impact.
- 4:55Speaker 5: You don't think this debate really matters.
- 4:57Speaker 8: For Look, I think it matters because look, North Carolina's underwater,
- 5:01Speaker 8: Israel is under siege, the American supply chain is under
- 5:05Speaker 8: threat from a thuggish, rogue union boss, and the American
- 5:08Speaker 8: people are under the impression that we have a void
- 5:11Speaker 8: of leadership in the White House. And what I want
- 5:13Speaker 8: jad Vance to do tonight, and what I want Tim
- 5:16Speaker 8: Wallas to have to explain, is how is the doctrine
- 5:19Speaker 8: of don't working out right now? Because we've had Harris
- 5:23Speaker 8: and we've had Biden go on TV and tell Iran
- 5:26Speaker 8: don't and they did, and now they're running don't down
- 5:29Speaker 8: the throat of our ally and I think I agree
- 5:32Speaker 8: it is a consequential night for that reason because of
- 5:34Speaker 8: everything that's going on in the world.
- 5:36Speaker 4: But I do think foreign policy may be a big
- 5:38Speaker 4: part of today, and well, I get that doesn't necessarily
- 5:40Speaker 4: sway elections. We also have the war in Ukraine going on,
- 5:43Speaker 4: and Jadvans has taken this hard line stance. I don't
- 5:45Speaker 4: care about Ukraine. He's advocating for not increasing or including
- 5:49Speaker 4: funding going forward. Donald Trump has toyed with that. There
- 5:51Speaker 4: are major implications to this ticket winning and I think
- 5:55Speaker 4: that that is a moment that he's going to have
- 5:57Speaker 4: to explain. Does America first mean America alone? Does it
- 6:00Speaker 4: replicate the nineteen twenties in the nineteen thirties, or is
- 6:02Speaker 4: it something where you can work with allies and you're
- 6:04Speaker 4: gonna show up.
- 6:05Speaker 5: He's got some real.
- 6:08Speaker 7: I think Scott is right that that is where vance
- 6:11Speaker 7: is gonna go. And I also think China. You know,
- 6:15Speaker 7: Walts has had an interesting relationship, Oh yeah, China, and
- 6:19Speaker 7: I think he's going to go there as well.
- 6:20Speaker 6: But they are surrogates for the.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Did you catch that? Did you notice what was just
- 6:26Speaker 2: said there?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Walts has an interesting relationship This is David Axot, senior
- 6:33Speaker 1: political commentator Scenn mastermind behind a guy by the name
- 6:37Speaker 1: of Barack Obama. And notice how he says this and
- 6:41Speaker 1: moves on very quickly, and no one else talks about it.
- 6:44Speaker 7: Listen, Vance is gonna go And I also think China.
- 6:47Speaker 7: You know, Walts has had an interesting relationship. Oh yeah, China,
- 6:52Speaker 7: and I think he's going to go there as well.
- 6:54Speaker 1: But interesting relationship with China. So what does that mean?
- 7:00Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 7:01Speaker 10: Well?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Genawaang, the daughter of an important Chinese Communist Party official,
- 7:06Speaker 1: says in this interview that she quote wanted to marry
- 7:10Speaker 1: Wolves and start a family with him, the Vice president's
- 7:14Speaker 1: running mate of Vice President Kamala Harris.
- 7:18Speaker 2: She's saying, I wanted to marry him.
- 7:21Speaker 1: The relationship eventually took a turn for the worse after
- 7:24Speaker 1: he allegedly accused her of being quote more interested in
- 7:26Speaker 1: wanting a United States passport than having a marriage.
- 7:31Speaker 2: She explained to.
- 7:32Speaker 1: The outlet that Waltz had lied about Tieneman Square and things,
- 7:37Speaker 1: noting that a man like this does not appear to
- 7:40Speaker 1: have the character and integrity to do one of the
- 7:42Speaker 1: most important jobs. This is coming from a Chinese Communist
- 7:47Speaker 1: Party official's daughter quote. We were deeply in love and
- 7:51Speaker 1: I wanted to marry him and start a family, waiting,
- 7:53Speaker 1: told the outlet. When it didn't happen, I felt very
- 7:56Speaker 1: unhappy and sad. Tim's behavior was very selfish. Two of
- 8:00Speaker 1: them reportedly met while Walts had been in China, where
- 8:04Speaker 1: Wang was working as a highly educated English language teacher
- 8:07Speaker 1: at a nearby Number eight middle school. During this time,
- 8:10Speaker 1: Walter had poorly informed her that she was beautiful while
- 8:14Speaker 1: she had been attending one of his lectures.
- 8:17Speaker 2: According to the outlet, it was.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Several months after he arrived that walt is said to
- 8:22Speaker 1: have fallen head over heels for Wang, a pretty highly
- 8:26Speaker 1: educated English language teacher at the nearby middle school. She
- 8:30Speaker 1: was attending one of his lectures to brush up on
- 8:32Speaker 1: her pronunciations when the twenty five year Waltz slipped her
- 8:36Speaker 1: headphones aside and whispered into her ear You're very beautiful.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Tim was very handsome. I loved his eyes and his
- 8:43Speaker 1: big mouth. We talked afterwards, and he was very complimentary
- 8:48Speaker 1: about my English. Wayne goes on to explain that Waltz
- 8:52Speaker 1: later returned to the US over the summer, and then
- 8:55Speaker 1: when he returned to China nineteen ninety two.
- 8:58Speaker 2: She left her teaching.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Job with the belief that she was about to embark
- 9:02Speaker 1: on a new life. However, after his return to China,
- 9:06Speaker 1: their relationship reportedly went downhill. The relationship soon began to
- 9:11Speaker 1: sour when Waltz made clumsy romantic gestures in public. On
- 9:15Speaker 1: one occasion, trying to feed Wang a slice of pear
- 9:19Speaker 1: as they were embarking on a ten day tour of
- 9:21Speaker 1: South China.
- 9:22Speaker 2: People were staring at us. I tried to reject it
- 9:24Speaker 2: because I was.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Very afraid teachers were supposed to set an example, she said.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Wayne explained to the outlet that after one instance on
- 9:34Speaker 1: a train ride where Waltz insisted that Wang's sleep in
- 9:37Speaker 1: his cabin, walt suggests that Wang was more interested in
- 9:40Speaker 1: getting a passport, leading to Wang leaving their hotel and
- 9:44Speaker 1: going back home to help her mother. I want to
- 9:48Speaker 1: take a moment and tell you about us a product
- 9:51Speaker 1: that very well could help save your life and actually
- 9:55Speaker 1: the life of someone else at the very same time,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and it deals with personal part There is a massive
- 10:02Speaker 1: increase in crime and violence around our country, and we
- 10:06Speaker 1: need to remember that personal safety and security for you
- 10:09Speaker 1: and your family is the most important thing in life.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Now.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for
- 10:14Speaker 1: having a firearm on a day that I had to
- 10:17Speaker 1: use it to literally save my life when I was
- 10:19Speaker 1: under attack from two attackers. And I know just how
- 10:23Speaker 1: fast it can happen and how important it is to
- 10:25Speaker 1: protect yourself. And that's why I talk about this so often. Now,
- 10:30Speaker 1: what if there was a way to effectively defend yourself
- 10:34Speaker 1: and de escalate a situation without having to use the
- 10:38Speaker 1: irreversible consequence as a deadly force. I've grappled with that
- 10:42Speaker 1: issue many times. Well, now there is another option. So
- 10:47Speaker 1: you don't have to worry about pulling the trigger or
- 10:50Speaker 1: worrying about the financial or mental repercussions. You don't have
- 10:54Speaker 1: to compromise on your peace of mind. And that is
- 10:58Speaker 1: because of the burna less lethal pistol launcher. Let me
- 11:02Speaker 1: say this, if you have children that are eighteen or older,
- 11:06Speaker 1: if you have a mother in law, a sister in law,
- 11:09Speaker 1: a wife, this may be the perfect thing for them.
- 11:13Speaker 1: A burner can save two lives. It is a great
- 11:16Speaker 1: compliment to owning firearms. And if you or your family
- 11:19Speaker 1: is in a situation where you feel threatened, then you
- 11:22Speaker 1: can start with less lethal It is legal in all
- 11:25Speaker 1: fifty states. No permits or background checks are needed. Now
- 11:29Speaker 1: I own these myself, and I got them for every
- 11:31Speaker 1: one of my family members that I just mentioned, because
- 11:33Speaker 1: that is how important it is to be able to
- 11:35Speaker 1: protect yourself. The burner launcher has powerful determines like tear
- 11:39Speaker 1: gas and connect grounds and a sixty foot range. One
- 11:43Speaker 1: shot can incapacitate attackers for up to forty minutes. It
- 11:46Speaker 1: is used by government agencies and law enforcement around the country.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So visit Berna dot com slash ferguson for ten percent
- 11:55Speaker 1: off your purchase. That's b y r Na dot com

- 12:09Speaker 2: Now, I just got to say, there is a cool
- 12:13Speaker 2: story that.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Is kind of gone viral on social media and it's
- 12:18Speaker 1: coming out of North Carolina where officials they are estimated
- 12:23Speaker 1: that it would take a year to rebuild a road.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It was a road called Chimney Rock, and a group
- 12:31Speaker 1: of West Virginia coal miners just said that's insane. We'll
- 12:37Speaker 1: get it done and not only do they get it done,
- 12:41Speaker 1: they got it done in a week and they did
- 12:43Speaker 1: it for free. It reminds you how incompetent our government
- 12:47Speaker 1: actually is. The road was washed out with the massive
- 12:52Speaker 1: flooding that took place after the hurricane that went through
- 12:55Speaker 1: the area, and there were a lot of roads that
- 13:00Speaker 1: got washed out, and they said, hey, it's going to
- 13:03Speaker 1: be a year to get this road back open. And
- 13:07Speaker 1: it was vitally important to the community for them to
- 13:10Speaker 1: be able to get from point A to point B.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And the fact that a group of West Virginia coal
- 13:15Speaker 1: miners volunteered and got it done in a week and
- 13:17Speaker 1: for free, and they're like now, they're like you can
- 13:19Speaker 1: pave it now, Like we cleared it all, it's ready,
- 13:22Speaker 1: it's graded.
- 13:23Speaker 7: Go.
- 13:25Speaker 2: That to me just tells you everything you need to know.
- 13:32Speaker 1: About the American spirit, and also it tells you just
- 13:38Speaker 1: how stupid our government is. There was a relief concert
- 13:43Speaker 1: to raise money in the Carolinas yesterday the day before.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Over eighty thousand people attend the concert. Over twenty million
- 13:52Speaker 1: was raised for release efforts across western North Carolina. The
- 13:57Speaker 1: state coming together is just incredible to see it happened,
- 14:01Speaker 1: to see the music stars and country music stars and
- 14:03Speaker 1: others that came in, it was amazing.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It's just incredible. And I got to tell.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You eighty three fans of the official count, twenty four
- 14:18Speaker 1: point five million rays for Western North Carolina was the
- 14:21Speaker 1: official count, and just just got the numbers sent to me.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And this was all done last minute, the same way
- 14:29Speaker 1: that it was all done last minute, the same way
- 14:32Speaker 1: that these people came together to make this road, Like
- 14:36Speaker 1: this is the American spirit. And when you can get
- 14:39Speaker 1: eighty two thousand people to pack the Bank of America
- 14:42Speaker 1: Stadium Saturday night for a Concert for Carolina benefit show
- 14:45Speaker 1: headlined by Luke Combs and Eric's Church, and you can
- 14:48Speaker 1: raise twenty four plus million dollars and you can pull
- 14:52Speaker 1: this off this quick.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I say it to remind.
- 14:56Speaker 1: People that, like, hey, we've really really got to do
- 14:59Speaker 1: a better job of understanding just how if we're expecting
- 15:03Speaker 1: government to fix our problems, they're not gonna do it, folks,
- 15:07Speaker 1: Like they're just not they're not here to save us,
- 15:11Speaker 1: they're not here to make things better. Okay, Like they're
- 15:15Speaker 1: like they're they're not going to We've got to pick
- 15:20Speaker 1: people that actually understand that. Many times government is the
- 15:24Speaker 1: problem when you've got to I mean, we're the United
- 15:27Speaker 1: States of America.
- 15:28Speaker 2: We send billions and billions and billions.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Of dollars to Ukraine, but they can't fix a road
- 15:33Speaker 1: in a year that has been washed at that the
- 15:36Speaker 1: community desperately needs. And then coal miners do it for
- 15:40Speaker 1: free and do it in a week. How much government fraud,
- 15:44Speaker 1: waste and abuse is there?
- 15:46Speaker 2: I mean, I mean how.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Much for real, Like, how much fraud, how much waste,
- 15:51Speaker 1: how much abuse is there?
- 15:53Speaker 2: It's a lot, folks, I mean it is a lot.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And and the fact that our government would hen say
- 16:00Speaker 1: something so ridiculous, Oh, it'll be a year, And you
- 16:04Speaker 1: got to be like, wait, what what are you talking about.
- 16:07Speaker 2: It's gonna be a year. And they're like, yeah, yeah,
- 16:10Speaker 2: it's gonna be a year.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Like it's gonna you can't give us our roads back,
- 16:14Speaker 1: a vital road for a year, yep, can't give it
- 16:16Speaker 1: back to you for a year.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be a year. And then the coal
- 16:22Speaker 1: miners like, dude, we got tractors. We can do this.
- 16:25Speaker 2: We've we've we've got tractors.
- 16:27Speaker 1: We can we can pull this off. I just got
- 16:32Speaker 1: to say like God bless America. But this election season, remember,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you got two ways you can go on this. I
- 16:40Speaker 1: mean you really do.
- 16:41Speaker 2: You've got two ways.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You can either pick incompetent leaders content let me rephrase that,
- 16:46Speaker 1: continue to pick in commonent leaders, or we can make
- 16:48Speaker 1: a real change.
- 16:49Speaker 2: It's one or the other.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You can pick people like walt who are sitting there,
- 16:54Speaker 1: you know, hanging out with Chinese Communist Party officials, almost
- 16:57Speaker 1: marrying them as a new report, and then this October surprise,
- 17:02Speaker 1: and you know, the Minnesota governor has faced a lot
- 17:05Speaker 1: of criticism over this report. He faced a lot of
- 17:09Speaker 1: criticism regarding the claim that he had made back in
- 17:12Speaker 1: twenty fourteen about him being present Hong Kong during the
- 17:15Speaker 1: nineteen eighty nine Tenmen Square massacre. The report found that
- 17:19Speaker 1: Walts was actually in Nebraska and did not go to
- 17:21Speaker 1: China until August of that year, missing all of it.
- 17:24Speaker 1: When about asked about his comments made during the recent debate,
- 17:27Speaker 1: Waltz stated that he was a quote knucklehead at times.
- 17:31Speaker 1: CNN also reported by the Way in No. Nine that
- 17:34Speaker 1: Waltz had claimed he had been in Hong Kong during
- 17:36Speaker 1: the tienam And Square massacre and it was a lie,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and yet this doesn't disqualify him from apparently being number
- 17:42Speaker 1: two in our government. No, he's a great guy. I
- 17:45Speaker 1: know he lied about being in Tim Square. I know
- 17:48Speaker 1: he lied about where he was. I know he lied
- 17:49Speaker 1: about his military service. I know he lied about being
- 17:55Speaker 1: in combat when he actually never saw combat. I mean,
- 17:58Speaker 1: these are major issues. Like these aren't minor issues. These
- 18:01Speaker 1: are these are significant issues.
- 18:05Speaker 2: With who he is and and then you and then.
- 18:08Speaker 1: These are the same people, like these are the same
- 18:12Speaker 1: exact people, same people that are like supposed to save
- 18:16Speaker 1: your life and when there's a natural disaster, are supposed
- 18:18Speaker 1: to come help you.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And they're like, yeah, we'll build your road back in
- 18:21Speaker 2: a year.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And you're like, wait what Yeah, yeah, we'll build your
- 18:25Speaker 1: road back in a year, a year from now. Washington
- 18:30Speaker 1: Post taking heat this morning for not endorsing Kamala Harris,
- 18:37Speaker 1: and now the rest of the media losing their minds
- 18:40Speaker 1: because tradition is every newspaper that acts like they're not
- 18:44Speaker 1: biased endorses the Democratic candidate. The Washington Post, La Times
- 18:50Speaker 1: not endorsing this year Kamala Harris. People are furious about it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Take a listen to this moments ago on MSNBC.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Join us now.
- 18:59Speaker 8: Former executive editor of The Washington Post, Marty Baron. Marty,
- 19:03Speaker 8: You've been outspoken on this in the last couple of days,
- 19:06Speaker 8: But what is your reaction to Jeff bezos piece this morning.
- 19:10Speaker 10: Well, I'm glad he spoke out. I'm glad he said
- 19:12Speaker 10: what he needed to say and provide some sort of
- 19:14Speaker 10: explanation for his reasoning. It's clear that he was involved
- 19:17Speaker 10: in the decision, despite the company's statements suggesting that he
- 19:20Speaker 10: wasn't satisfied.
- 19:22Speaker 6: I mean, look, the.
- 19:24Speaker 10: Washington Post has been issuing endorsements for almost a half century,
- 19:28Speaker 10: since nineteen seventy six. What caused them to start doing
- 19:31Speaker 10: endorsements in nineteen seventy six?
- 19:33Speaker 2: It was Watergate.
- 19:36Speaker 10: There was a president who was abusing power, who was
- 19:38Speaker 10: weaponizing government. That's an issue that exists today that is
- 19:42Speaker 10: certainly relevant during this presidential election. They only had one
- 19:46Speaker 10: exception in nineteen eighty eight. Under Jeff Bezos's ownership. They
- 19:51Speaker 10: provided endorsement presidential endorsements in twenty sixteen in twenty twenty
- 19:56Speaker 10: highly critical of Donald Trump during In both of those
- 20:00Speaker 10: the presidential endorsements.
- 20:01Speaker 6: Uh and uh to Uh.
- 20:04Speaker 10: This is not a way to inspire trust is to
- 20:07Speaker 10: cancel an endorsement a couple of weeks before one of
- 20:10Speaker 10: the most consequential elections in US history. It actually arose trust,
- 20:14Speaker 10: and it's evident it destroys trust. Mark.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So if you don't give an endorsement of the left,
- 20:22Speaker 1: then the left will come out and they will eat you.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You know, The Washington Post is a hardcore lefty newspaper,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and people are furious that they're not endorsing Kamala Harris
- 20:35Speaker 1: this time. Now there's politics involved behind the scenes. I
- 20:39Speaker 1: think that's pretty obvious. But notice how on hinds they
- 20:42Speaker 1: become because they're like, well, it has to be an endorsement.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And notice how there's absolutely no chance of it being
- 20:47Speaker 1: a Trump endorsement, right, this is just a This is
- 20:50Speaker 1: supposed to be an automatic guarantee no matter what endorsement
- 20:57Speaker 1: of Kamala Harris instantly. I also think it's kind of
- 21:01Speaker 1: funny how how angry they are about this because it's
- 21:04Speaker 1: not going to have any impact on the election day,
- 21:07Speaker 1: certainly in Washington, d C.
- 21:09Speaker 2: In that area without the endorsement.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And and the reason why I say that is because
- 21:13Speaker 1: that area is going to vote for Kamala Harris overwhelming.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I mean DC is a extremely liberal city and that's
- 21:21Speaker 1: where the Washington Post is. Now, does it change the
- 21:25Speaker 1: narrative or does would it change the narrative somewhat? Yeah
- 21:29Speaker 1: with others, but it's really not that big of a difference,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Like this is really not that crazy of a or
- 21:40Speaker 1: a shock or something that everybody should just be like
- 21:42Speaker 1: losing their minds over, like it's it's the Washington Post
- 21:46Speaker 1: is a liberal newspaper. Everybody knows it's liberal, Like everybody does,
- 21:49Speaker 1: like everybody knows it's a liberal newspaper.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And then not endorsing Kamala Harris.
- 21:54Speaker 1: You can dive into whatever your whatever your thoughts are
- 21:56Speaker 1: about it behind the scenes, but it's a nation, is
- 22:01Speaker 1: what the media is now demanding. If you're in the media,
- 22:04Speaker 1: you have to endorse. If you're in the media, you
- 22:06Speaker 1: must endorse. If you're in the media, like it's just it,
- 22:10Speaker 1: You've got to endorse, no matter what. Milania Trump coming
- 22:16Speaker 1: out talking in general about this election. She was on
- 22:19Speaker 1: Fox and Friends Live this morning. She made an interesting point.
- 22:22Speaker 11: Listen one week away, how are you feeling, how's the family?
- 22:26Speaker 11: I feel good. We are feeling good. We are working hard.
- 22:30Speaker 11: My husband. He's all over the country traveling and as
- 22:35Speaker 11: we saw Sunday evening Sunday through the day, was an
- 22:39Speaker 11: amazing day and a lot of support out there.
- 22:42Speaker 7: Yeah, you've been through the campaign cycle now three times,
- 22:46Speaker 7: twenty sixteen, twenty twenty, twenty twenty four.
- 22:49Speaker 5: How is this different or how is it better?
- 22:51Speaker 6: How is it different? How just how does it compare?
- 22:56Speaker 11: I feel it's kind of the same like two thousand
- 22:59Speaker 11: and six. The support out there, it's incredible, and it's just,
- 23:07Speaker 11: you know, people see what's going on in the country
- 23:10Speaker 11: and what kind of leadership they want. You know, they
- 23:14Speaker 11: want prosperity, they want American dream coming back. So that's
- 23:20Speaker 11: what PEO will decide on November fifth.
- 23:23Speaker 1: It's got that feeling, yeah, you know, she says, it's
- 23:27Speaker 1: the same feeling they felt then. Now that could be
- 23:30Speaker 1: you could argue a good sign that the Americans are
- 23:34Speaker 1: fired up. Yesterday I was on the bus tour with
- 23:39Speaker 1: Senator Katy Britt from Alabama, Ambassador Rick Grnell, and also
- 23:44Speaker 1: Senator Ted Cruz, and I can tell you it has
- 23:46Speaker 1: a twenty sixteen feel. It is very different and the
- 23:52Speaker 1: crowds are excited. The crowds are fired up. The crowds
- 23:57Speaker 1: are are ready to vote. Many of them have already voted.
- 24:02Speaker 1: They feel very very inspired right now, and that is huge,
- 24:08Speaker 1: Like that is so significant for what we need and
- 24:16Speaker 1: the importance of this election day. I think most people
- 24:19Speaker 1: understand it. They understand how important this is to go vote.
- 24:25Speaker 1: The early voting numbers that we're seeing around the country
- 24:28Speaker 1: are concerning to a point. And you're gonna laugh, but
- 24:35Speaker 1: I think you'll understand what I mean by this. They
- 24:37Speaker 1: seem like they're too good, and that's concerning. It's like, wait, Republicans,
- 24:43Speaker 1: traditionally we are not early voters. Democrats traditionally are early voters.
- 24:49Speaker 1: But Republican early voting numbers seem to be just massive.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And what does that mean going into this election? You
- 24:59Speaker 1: can debate it. I don't like to get or feel
- 25:03Speaker 1: like I'm getting too confident, and that's something that you
- 25:08Speaker 1: got to be careful of, Like you don't want to
- 25:10Speaker 1: get too confident here. You don't want to get arrogant
- 25:14Speaker 1: and go, oh, we're gonna win this thing. If you
- 25:15Speaker 1: may remember the midterms, we thought there was gonna be
- 25:17Speaker 1: a red wave and that didn't happen.
- 25:20Speaker 2: We thought we were gonna get back the Senate. We didn't.
- 25:22Speaker 1: We barely got the House, so I am cautiously optimistic now.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Newsweek's headline was is Joe Biden's garbage comment Kamala Harris's
- 25:35Speaker 1: deplorable moment? Yeah, Democrats campaign is getting uglier now that
- 25:43Speaker 1: Trump is ahead in the polls is another headline this morning.
- 25:48Speaker 1: And Donald Trump took advantage of Biden's trash talk with
- 25:52Speaker 1: sanitation outfit in a garbage truck appearance.
- 25:55Speaker 2: It was a very smart move.
- 25:57Speaker 1: All Star panel last night on five News Channel with
- 26:02Speaker 1: Brett Baer, he had on Harris Faulkner and also Larry
- 26:07Speaker 1: Kudlow and several others that were sitting there talking about
- 26:11Speaker 1: this controversy.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I want to hear what they said.
- 26:13Speaker 12: I mean, the statement itself, obviously, the reaction to it
- 26:16Speaker 12: with garbage truck and all.
- 26:19Speaker 5: I mean.
- 26:19Speaker 13: Let me say this first, there's been a lot of
- 26:21Speaker 13: question about whether this really matters as much as the
- 26:24Speaker 13: original garbage conversation that a comedian had on stage at
- 26:27Speaker 13: Madison Square Garden. That was a comedian. Almost nobody knew
- 26:31Speaker 13: who he was. They couldn't even make the connection with
- 26:33Speaker 13: Tom Brady's roast. They didn't remember him. Apparently, this is
- 26:37Speaker 13: a sitting president of the United States saying that half
- 26:40Speaker 13: the voting public is garbage. That's different, that's bigger, and
- 26:46Speaker 13: to me, it has legs different from deplorables because of
- 26:49Speaker 13: the timing of it, the last seven days or so
- 26:53Speaker 13: in the election process with a candidate we don't know
- 26:56Speaker 13: that much about his vice president, and now he's starting
- 26:59Speaker 13: to try to fine the opposition with words like that,
- 27:03Speaker 13: kind of stepping not on her but over her, disrespectful.
- 27:08Speaker 13: She has to talk it back. He's taken some of
- 27:10Speaker 13: the shine out of her closing arguments. I mean, it's
- 27:13Speaker 13: a lot, and I think it matters because he's the
- 27:16Speaker 13: current president.
- 27:17Speaker 12: It was Jessica clean up on Aisle five numerous times today.
- 27:22Speaker 6: This is the White House cream jump here.
- 27:24Speaker 14: Just to clarify, he was not calling Trump supporter's garbage,
- 27:28Speaker 14: which is why he put out This is why he
- 27:30Speaker 14: wanted to make sure that we put out a statement
- 27:34Speaker 14: that clarified what he meant and what he was trying
- 27:37Speaker 14: to say.
- 27:38Speaker 15: It's the hardest working apostrophe of the campaign, for sure.
- 27:44Speaker 15: Listen it. It's obviously suboptimal, and that it happened at
- 27:47Speaker 15: the same time that she's giving this incredible speech. It's
- 27:50Speaker 15: seventy five thousand people that turned out to see her
- 27:53Speaker 15: do this. She managed to thread the needle between protecting
- 27:57Speaker 15: democracy and talking about her opportunity economy and also all
- 28:00Speaker 15: a branching to some of the same people who might
- 28:03Speaker 15: have been offended by that comment. I do think with
- 28:06Speaker 15: just six days left in the game, that most people
- 28:10Speaker 15: know we don't like.
- 28:11Speaker 13: What was said about Puerto Rico, and we know how
- 28:14Speaker 13: to take the trash out Donald Trump.
- 28:17Speaker 16: Overt Nazi parallels that they are cultivating and this extreme
- 28:22Speaker 16: extreme extremism.
- 28:24Speaker 10: These are many January sixth rallies.
- 28:27Speaker 4: These are many stopped the Steel rallies.
- 28:29Speaker 5: Yesterday Joe Biden said something off the cuff while he
- 28:33Speaker 5: was on the phone call, and then later on corrected
- 28:38Speaker 5: that I.
- 28:39Speaker 17: Don't understand why you're walking that back, because I mean,
- 28:41Speaker 17: based off the examples he gave, Like, if you are
- 28:44Speaker 17: a person who supports those examples that he gave, you
- 28:49Speaker 17: are garbage.
- 28:50Speaker 12: I mean, this goes to Harris's point Larry about the
- 28:53Speaker 12: coverage of it and kind of.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Trying to pick up for presidents.
- 28:56Speaker 16: Oh yeah, longer, Look, you're six days away.
- 28:59Speaker 5: This this is garbage talk. This is trash talk.
- 29:02Speaker 16: This is not what any Democrat would want, and they're
- 29:07Speaker 16: just going to keep going at it. And so whatever
- 29:11Speaker 16: message Kamala Harris has going to be completely buried by this.
- 29:16Speaker 16: So it couldn't happen at a worse time. I do
- 29:19Speaker 16: agree with Harris. I think it's a lot worse than
- 29:22Speaker 16: the deplorables. But look, I just want to make this
- 29:24Speaker 16: larger point if I make, I think the Democrats are completely.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Barking up the wrong tree.
- 29:29Speaker 16: I think Kamala Harris and her campaign barking up the
- 29:31Speaker 16: wrong tree. They're attacking Trump, that's all they're doing. They're
- 29:36Speaker 16: not trying to make any space between Joe Biden. The
- 29:39Speaker 16: country does not want a third Biden Harris, a second
- 29:43Speaker 16: Biden Harris term. They do not want that, but they're
- 29:45Speaker 16: not making that case. That is not what Kamala is saying.
- 29:48Speaker 16: She doesn't have a mind of her own, she doesn't
- 29:50Speaker 16: have a policy of her own. What little she has
- 29:52Speaker 16: has been met derisively actually by a lot of economists.
- 29:56Speaker 16: But my point is, Okay, you want to call Trump hitler,
- 29:59Speaker 16: you want to calling fascist, you want to resident all that,
- 30:03Speaker 16: you want to go back to the threat of democracy
- 30:06Speaker 16: January sixth, Those are at this point today losing issues.
- 30:11Speaker 12: Quickly they mentioned the losing issue. Yeah, you mentioned the economy.
- 30:14Speaker 12: There was good news for the Biden Harris administration on
- 30:17Speaker 12: the economy. US economy grew two point eight percent the
- 30:20Speaker 12: third quarter, slightly slower than expected amid easing inflation, strong
- 30:26Speaker 12: consumer spending. But a lot of people looked at that
- 30:30Speaker 12: roughly as a good sign.
- 30:31Speaker 6: How do you see it.
- 30:32Speaker 16: I think it's a decent sign and problem with it,
- 30:34Speaker 16: but I don't think it's germane to the election. The
- 30:37Speaker 16: problem here in the economy for the last four years
- 30:41Speaker 16: is the affordability crisis. And there's a study out again
- 30:44Speaker 16: this past week, and we got.
- 30:46Speaker 6: The battleground state inflation we can put up as you're.
- 30:49Speaker 16: Talking real listen, private wages, private wage, not government wages.
- 30:54Speaker 16: Private wages adjustice for inflation, Okay, have dropped over ten
- 30:58Speaker 16: percent during these last four years. And if you want
- 31:02Speaker 16: to buy a house, all in insurance, borrowing cost the price.
- 31:07Speaker 5: Of the house, you're up about seventy percent.
- 31:10Speaker 16: If you want to buy a car, if you want
- 31:12Speaker 16: to buy a car, all in buy the car price, gasoline,
- 31:16Speaker 16: insurance for the car that's up about seventy percent.
- 31:19Speaker 5: This is never about GDP.
- 31:21Speaker 16: You can't go into a grocery store and buy some
- 31:23Speaker 16: GDP if you go into a grocery store with your
- 31:27Speaker 16: take home pay the money that's actually in your pocketbooks,
- 31:31Speaker 16: or you're going kitchen table here, they're trash talking to
- 31:36Speaker 16: each other in the last six days, not talking about
- 31:39Speaker 16: any of this.
- 31:40Speaker 5: I've found an extraordinary.
- 31:42Speaker 1: It's interesting the point that Larry Ketler makes there as
- 31:45Speaker 1: he's on this All Start panel, where he's like, look,
- 31:47Speaker 1: you got six days left, now, five and you better
- 31:51Speaker 1: be talking about the issues that people care about. And
- 31:54Speaker 1: instead you got somebody yelling that half of the supporters
- 31:57Speaker 1: of the other guy are human waste, trash, floating trash.
- 32:02Speaker 2: That's unbelievable.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Make sure you share this podcast with your family and
- 32:06Speaker 1: your friends, as we are just days away from election day.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Hit that share button right now, and I will see
- 32:12Speaker 1: you back here tomorrow.
