Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Platner Implosion Reveals Utter Hypocrisy of National Democrats
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:00Speaker 2: It is verdic with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:03Speaker 2: you as well, Senator. We've got a lot to talk about,
- 0:05Speaker 2: including Democrats having no moral compass, in fact, their moral
- 0:10Speaker 2: compass is only polling data. And now they've turned on
- 0:13Speaker 2: Graham Platner because they're afraid he's going to lose, just
- 0:16Speaker 2: like they did with Eric Swalwell in California. Even though
- 0:19Speaker 2: the warning signs were always there.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Well, you're exactly right, Graham Platner is imploding. This was
- 0:25Speaker 3: the least surprising thing to have ever happened in the
- 0:28Speaker 3: history of the planet Earth. It was predictable, and indeed
- 0:32Speaker 3: not just predictable. It was predicted on this podcast a
- 0:35Speaker 3: month ago. We predicted what is happening was exactly what
- 0:39Speaker 3: would happen. Graham Platner will drop out of the Democrat race.
- 0:44Speaker 3: As you and I are recording it Tuesday night. He
- 0:46Speaker 3: has not yet dropped out, but he will drop out
- 0:49Speaker 3: before July thirteenth. July thirteenth is the deadline for the
- 0:53Speaker 3: Democrats to replace him on the ballot. We predicted that,
- 0:56Speaker 3: as I said a month ago on this pod, is
- 1:00Speaker 3: dropping out because there are now credible allegations that he
- 1:04Speaker 3: sexually assaulted a woman, and this woman apparently can be
- 1:07Speaker 3: believed because she's a left wing Democrat. But that's not
- 1:11Speaker 3: actually why he will drop out. He will drop out
- 1:14Speaker 3: because the Democrats have decided they must get him off
- 1:17Speaker 3: the ballot because, as you noted, he is losing. We're
- 1:20Speaker 3: gonna break down the Graham Platner mess, the steaming pile
- 1:25Speaker 3: of manure that is his campaign, and the mess of
- 1:28Speaker 3: a life that this guy has led. But we're gonna
- 1:32Speaker 3: break down how this Graham Platner fiasco demonstrates the utter
- 1:38Speaker 3: hypocrisy of Democrats. That there is not a Democrat in
- 1:43Speaker 3: the United States Congress, with the lone exception of John Fetterman,
- 1:47Speaker 3: there is not another Democrat who has demonstrated even the
- 1:51Speaker 3: tiniest shred of integrity when it comes to Graham platter
- 1:55Speaker 3: We're gonna go come and we're bringing the receipts. You're right,
- 1:58Speaker 3: it's just like Eric Sway Well and before that, it's
- 2:01Speaker 3: just like Joe Biden. All today's Democrats care about is
- 2:05Speaker 3: winning and anything else they're willing to overlook. But don't
- 2:09Speaker 3: just believe what Ben and I are saying. We're gonna
- 2:11Speaker 3: come with the receipts right now.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Before we get to that, I want to tell you
- 2:15Speaker 2: real quick about an important thing that's happening in this country.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And there are so many brands today that offer and
- 2:23Speaker 2: they claim to stand for American values, but most of
- 2:26Speaker 2: the time it's all talk and no action. And that's
- 2:29Speaker 2: what makes Patriot Mobile so different. For more than twelve years,
- 2:33Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile has been living their values and standing the
- 2:36Speaker 2: gap for every American who believes freedom is actually worth

- 3:13Speaker 2: even have two separate networks on one phone, giving you
- 3:17Speaker 2: unmatched coverage and the peace of mind you can't get

- 3:23Speaker 2: my phone is I literally have two networks on all
- 3:26Speaker 2: the time and it switches to whicheveryone has the best coverage.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now.

- 3:44Speaker 2: America's real future. So join the movement today. Go to

- 4:02Speaker 2: nine to seven to two Patriot. To make that switch
- 4:04Speaker 2: and make a difference with every call you make today. So, Senatri,
- 4:08Speaker 2: you and I talked about this predicted a month ago
- 4:11Speaker 2: on this show. It seems that you and I are
- 4:14Speaker 2: really good at understanding politics and how scumbags and the
- 4:17Speaker 2: Democratic Party are always on an expiration date.
- 4:21Speaker 1: This one, as you mentioned, is the thirteenth.
- 4:23Speaker 2: They've got to get him off the ballot, meaning he's
- 4:26Speaker 2: got to drop out by then or they're stuck with
- 4:28Speaker 2: him on the ballot.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I want to know your prediction.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Do you think the same people that create a Grand
- 4:35Speaker 2: platinirm that are now trying to destroy him are gonna
- 4:37Speaker 2: be able to get him off the ballot by the
- 4:39Speaker 2: thirteenth or do you think he says, you know what,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'll drop out the fourteenth just to ticket to all
- 4:43Speaker 2: you guys that are coming after me.
- 4:45Speaker 3: No, he's a Marxist. He'll drop out. He'll drop out
- 4:48Speaker 3: this week. It'll be by the thirteenth. They'll replace him.
- 4:51Speaker 3: And understand, Look for Democrats in Congress, the fact that
- 4:57Speaker 3: the guy had a Nazi tattoo on his chest, that
- 5:00Speaker 3: was not disqualifying. They were happy to support him. And
- 5:03Speaker 3: not just any Nazi tattoo, a totin comp the symbol
- 5:07Speaker 3: of the SS at the death squads in World War Two.
- 5:11Speaker 3: That's what he had tattooed on his chest. Democrats just
- 5:14Speaker 3: fine with that. The fact that he self described himself
- 5:17Speaker 3: as a communist, they had no problem with that at all.
- 5:20Speaker 3: The fact that he described that he would have masturbation
- 5:25Speaker 3: fantasies in porta potties, which is just weird. I mean,
- 5:28Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, it's just that that's a very
- 5:30Speaker 3: odd dynamic. That didn't scare any of them away. The
- 5:35Speaker 3: fact that he had a prior girlfriend accuse him of
- 5:40Speaker 3: being emotionally verbally abusive, that didn't scare them away. The
- 5:45Speaker 3: fact that he used repeated racist insults attacked African Americans.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Democrats were just fine with that. The fact that he
- 5:52Speaker 3: was a vicious misogynist, no problem with that at all.
- 5:56Speaker 3: The fact that he attacked a decorated combat ve veteran, Yeah,
- 6:01Speaker 3: and he said he wished that the veteran had died. Well,
- 6:04Speaker 3: the Democrats were just hunky dory with that.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Uh.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And don't forget the anti semitism as well, let's throw
- 6:10Speaker 1: that in there.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Well, you know that that kind of runs with anyone
- 6:14Speaker 3: that puts a Nazi tattoo on their on their chest,
- 6:16Speaker 3: like the ven diagram. To use a Kamala Harris term
- 6:20Speaker 3: of Nazis and anti Semites, that would be a one
- 6:23Speaker 3: hundred percent overlap, and in that all Nazis are anti Semites.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And by the way, the fact that he described that
- 6:32Speaker 3: he had a fantasy of raping men who broke into
- 6:37Speaker 3: his house, although he said quote not in a gayway,
- 6:40Speaker 3: just just raping men in the heterosexual way, none of
- 6:44Speaker 3: that was was problematic. And I want to go through
- 6:47Speaker 3: the receipts. All right, Chuck Schumer on June second, I
- 6:51Speaker 3: endorse Graham Platter. This is after almost all of this
- 6:54Speaker 3: stuff had broken. How about Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders quote,
- 6:59Speaker 3: I personally think he is an excellent candidate. I'm going
- 7:02Speaker 3: to support him, and I look forward to him becoming
- 7:04Speaker 3: the next senator in the state of Maine. Reuben Gego
- 7:07Speaker 3: goes and campaigns alongside him. Tim Waltz, I'll be in
- 7:12Speaker 3: Portland tomorrow with Graham Plattner to kick off his campaign
- 7:16Speaker 3: to retire Susan Collins. Let's go win this thing that
- 7:18Speaker 3: was in April. Elizabeth Warren all right, this is one
- 7:22Speaker 3: of my favorite Elizabeth Warren Boyce. She was all in
- 7:25Speaker 3: understand progressive, powerful advocate for equality. What nonsense. Okay, So
- 7:32Speaker 3: here's what Elizabeth Warren says. Quote He's a combat veteran,
- 7:37Speaker 3: an oyster farmer, and has inspired people with his populist
- 7:41Speaker 3: agenda for a government on the side of working families,
- 7:44Speaker 3: not the billionaires and giant corporations. She also said, quote,
- 7:48Speaker 3: I endorse Graham Plattner because I know he's a fighter
- 7:50Speaker 3: on behalf of working families, and because he doesn't take
- 7:53Speaker 3: any corporate pack money. And we need more people in
- 7:56Speaker 3: Washington who are less about go along to get along
- 7:58Speaker 3: and more about fighting to make the kind of changes
- 8:00Speaker 3: that families need. And I want you to listen to
- 8:03Speaker 3: what Elizabeth Warren said about Platner on April eighteenth. Here,
- 8:06Speaker 3: give a listen.
- 8:08Speaker 5: I am here because Washington needs fighters, and gram Platner
- 8:13Speaker 5: is the fighter we need. You. Bet, I said to myself,
- 8:21Speaker 5: that's my kind of man, because that is a man
- 8:27Speaker 5: who not only has the values, but a man who
- 8:31Speaker 5: believes in accountability. And we need a little accountability coming
- 8:36Speaker 5: out of Washington right now. We need gram Platner to
- 8:42Speaker 5: come in and get rid of the.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Corruption in Washington.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Time for new lawson, get rid of that corruption center
- 8:50Speaker 2: in Washington. I mean, it's just that simple, right You
- 8:53Speaker 2: just say a man's a good man, forget all the
- 8:55Speaker 2: red flags, and you just make sure that no one
- 8:58Speaker 2: ever knows even happen.
- 9:00Speaker 3: That's my kind of man. I want you. In fact,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I want to just play play that again. Listen again
- 9:09Speaker 3: to Elizabeth Warren on Graham Plattner.
- 9:12Speaker 5: That's my kind of man.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I believe her, by the way I believe her as
- 9:18Speaker 2: much as I believe any Democrat right now they love
- 9:21Speaker 2: this guy until they just decided, oh wait, he may
- 9:24Speaker 2: not be able to win.
- 9:25Speaker 3: And by the way, every one of those now has
- 9:27Speaker 3: now called on Platner to drop out, So Chuck Schumer. Tonight,
- 9:30Speaker 3: he and Kirsten Gillibrand put out a statement quote, the
- 9:33Speaker 3: allegations reported today are incredibly disturbing. Violence, abuse, and sexual
- 9:37Speaker 3: assault are absolutely unacceptable. The DSCC will not invest in
- 9:41Speaker 3: Maine Senate if Platner remains on the ballot. Bernie Sanders,
- 9:46Speaker 3: I have spoken with Graham Plattner about the best path
- 9:49Speaker 3: forward for Maine in light of these very serious allegations.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I have recommended that he step aside. How about Reuben
- 9:56Speaker 3: Diego quote The allegations against Graham Plattner are troubling and
- 9:59Speaker 3: deeply serious. I am rescinding my endorsement. How about Tim
- 10:03Speaker 3: Waltz quote, the allegations of sexual assault against Graham Plattner
- 10:07Speaker 3: are deeply disturbing. He should drop out and make way
- 10:09Speaker 3: for a candidate that can defeat Susan Collins in November.
- 10:14Speaker 3: How about Elizabeth Warren quote, Now, more than ever, we
- 10:18Speaker 3: need leaders in Washington to reflect our values. There could
- 10:21Speaker 3: be no tolerance for sexual assault. Working families are counting
- 10:23Speaker 3: on Democrats to win the Senate election in Maine, the
- 10:26Speaker 3: unrigular economy and hold Donald Trump accountable. With so much
- 10:29Speaker 3: at stake, best path forward is for Graham Plattner to
- 10:32Speaker 3: step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious
- 10:35Speaker 3: allegations outside the Senate race now among other hypocrites. And
- 10:40Speaker 3: I won't necessarily go through all their quotes. Rocanna happy
- 10:43Speaker 3: to stand with Graham Plattner with all these allegations. Chris
- 10:46Speaker 3: van Holland, Well, when he was asked about the Nazi stuff,
- 10:50Speaker 3: the misogynist stuff, the racist stuff, Chris van Holland said, quote,
- 10:54Speaker 3: people should have second chances. Sheldon white House. What did
- 10:58Speaker 3: Sheldon white House say? Hears a quote from Politico. White
- 11:05Speaker 3: House has been among Platner's most constant supporters among lawmakers
- 11:09Speaker 3: in the US Senate, calling the controversial candidate quote wonderfully appealing.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Sheldon white House Nazi, communist, misogynist, racist, oyster farmer, wonderfully appealing.
- 11:22Speaker 3: What else did he say? White House said, quote, He's
- 11:25Speaker 3: off to a really strong start and has a wonderfully
- 11:28Speaker 3: appealing local background and story. Just last month, white House
- 11:33Speaker 3: dismissed a New York Times report quoting women who accused
- 11:36Speaker 3: Platner a quote intimidating and disturbing behavior. White House said,
- 11:41Speaker 3: quote seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the
- 11:44Speaker 3: only one who had anything to say that seemed unsettling
- 11:48Speaker 3: was a woman who works for right wing political operations. Apparently,
- 11:53Speaker 3: in Democrat worlds, you can sexually harass, you can assault
- 11:57Speaker 3: Republican women, and they don't count as women's Apparently that's
- 12:00Speaker 3: just fine.
- 12:02Speaker 2: By the way, what happened in the Democrats mantra believe
- 12:04Speaker 2: all women. I just wanted when did that get thrown out?
- 12:07Speaker 2: When it comes to Squallwell, and it was always a lie.
- 12:10Speaker 3: It was always a lie. These are the same people
- 12:12Speaker 3: that defended Bill Clinton over and over and over again,
- 12:15Speaker 3: that launched Remember Hillary Clinton launched the smear campaigns on
- 12:19Speaker 3: every woman that came forward with allegations against Bill Clinton
- 12:22Speaker 3: was never true. Zo Ron Mondami, Mondami's several of his
- 12:27Speaker 3: top aides, including his strategist Morris Catz, his press secretary Joecovello,
- 12:32Speaker 3: played leading roles in Platner's campaign. Uh Hassan Piker, All right,
- 12:39Speaker 3: here's what Piker said on June tenth, not very long ago. Quote,
- 12:44Speaker 3: Do I want Graham Plattner to win this race? Effo lutely?
- 12:49Speaker 3: Although he did not abbreviate efan, I do for a
- 12:52Speaker 3: million different reasons. He's great on message. What kind of
- 12:56Speaker 3: lunatic thinks this guy is is great on message? Now?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Where are we today? Every one I've gone through has said, okay,
- 13:04Speaker 3: time to get out, Time to get out, time to
- 13:05Speaker 3: get out. Except let me tell you one knucklehead. Who
- 13:10Speaker 3: do you think is right now? The lone knucklehead who
- 13:13Speaker 3: said he doesn't want Graham platter to drop out.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I would have guessed if I didn't know better, I
- 13:19Speaker 2: would have said Bernie Sanders. But he's even said it now. Well,
- 13:21Speaker 2: we got a serious reservation. YadA, YadA, YadA. So give
- 13:24Speaker 2: me outside that I have no idea, give me, give
- 13:27Speaker 2: me the name.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Stephen King, really Maine. He lives in Maine, left wing radical,
- 13:35Speaker 3: filled with hate. Here's what he put out Tuesday night. Quote,
- 13:39Speaker 3: Graham Platner may drop out. I hope he doesn't. But meanwhile,
- 13:47Speaker 3: the abuser in chief just keeps on keeping on. So
- 13:51Speaker 3: Stephen King is the one guy that says, give me
- 13:54Speaker 3: a Nazi communist, racist, misogynist, alleged rapist. And I'm good
- 14:01Speaker 3: with him. Why Because Susan Collins and Stephen King's world
- 14:06Speaker 3: is way too conservative for him.
- 14:09Speaker 2: All Right, I think it's time. You and I haven't
- 14:12Speaker 2: had a verdict bed in a long time. And we
- 14:14Speaker 2: both like Mexican food, so I think we should bet
- 14:16Speaker 2: Mexican food.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw it out there.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I think Graham Plattner is going to be so mad
- 14:22Speaker 2: that this has happened to him that he's not gonna
- 14:24Speaker 2: drop out before the deadline.
- 14:26Speaker 3: All right, you are so buying the enchilados that Margarita is.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I actually feel bad. This is this is like taking
- 14:32Speaker 3: money from a baby.
- 14:35Speaker 2: This is so him though, And all these people got
- 14:37Speaker 2: you to do this, and all of them got you in,
- 14:40Speaker 2: and then they all helped you raise money, and they
- 14:42Speaker 2: all said all these things, and then right before the end,
- 14:44Speaker 2: they're like, we're gonna trash you like Swallwell, I just
- 14:47Speaker 2: think this is maybe I'm wrong. I think a guy
- 14:50Speaker 2: is crazy that crazy enough to have a Nazi tattoo,
- 14:52Speaker 2: is crazy enough to say watch this this on the fourteenth,
- 14:56Speaker 2: the fifteenth, I'll drop out, but not before then.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Look, you don't understand communists.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Right, they give me, give me all right, tell me
- 15:05Speaker 1: the other side of the.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Bat that they take or one of one of the
- 15:08Speaker 3: other rest will buy the other Mexican. And so when
- 15:09Speaker 3: you buy me Mexican, I'm gonna by the way, I'm
- 15:11Speaker 3: not gonna order just an ordinary margarita. I'm gonna say,
- 15:14Speaker 3: give me the toppest shelf you got.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Shelf, top shelf. Yeah, all the way. I believe you're
- 15:19Speaker 1: and the and the largest case though, keep going.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Right, and not just like the ground beef enchiladas. I
- 15:24Speaker 3: want shredded beef. I want what do you mean the case?
- 15:26Speaker 3: So I want real melted cheese. I want good stuff
- 15:29Speaker 3: on that.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But I I.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Cannot wait for this bet anyway, keep going so tell
- 15:34Speaker 2: me why you think there's no way he'll be he'll
- 15:36Speaker 2: do that.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Let's let's go back to Swallwell. And we covered this
- 15:40Speaker 3: when when when Swallowell and the scandal broke. Look Swallwell
- 15:45Speaker 3: was one of the leading candidates to be governor in California,
- 15:49Speaker 3: and all the Democrats were happily behind them, and and
- 15:51Speaker 3: from all the reports that came out of his being
- 15:54Speaker 3: a repeated sexual assault abuser, harasser, And I mean it
- 15:59Speaker 3: really was pretty ship aimless conduct that just went on
- 16:01Speaker 3: and on and on. You know, it was so commonplace
- 16:07Speaker 3: that the Democrats.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Already knew about it. It was talking about.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Okay, not everybody knew about it. I didn't know about it,
- 16:12Speaker 3: but I don't know Swallall. Like I, I don't run
- 16:14Speaker 3: in the circle of House Democrats, so I had no
- 16:16Speaker 3: clue that the guy was a predator. But the people
- 16:19Speaker 3: pallling around with him obviously did. The Democrat staffers obviously did.
- 16:24Speaker 3: You don't behave like Swalwell did without that becoming common
- 16:28Speaker 3: knowledge in the circause he was not hiding it. He
- 16:30Speaker 3: was not at all circumspect. He was open and brazen.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Why because he understood that that the leftist today they
- 16:39Speaker 3: will defend anything, anything, any if it keeps them in power.
- 16:44Speaker 3: What was Swalwell's cardinal offense. It was when he was
- 16:49Speaker 3: splitting the vote and suddenly it looked like the Republicans
- 16:52Speaker 3: had a chance of becoming governor. And I mean they,
- 16:55Speaker 3: the Democrats ruthlessly took him out with no hesitation at all.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Let's go back to your Biden. To be clear, for
- 17:02Speaker 3: every Democrat in Congress knew that Joe Biden was well
- 17:07Speaker 3: into dementia that he was not remotely competent to be
- 17:11Speaker 3: president of the United States his first term, much less
- 17:14Speaker 3: a second term. They knew that he could not be
- 17:18Speaker 3: trusted to have his finger on the button. They knew
- 17:21Speaker 3: that none of our enemies feared him because they knew
- 17:24Speaker 3: that he was a man deep into sinility. And you
- 17:26Speaker 3: know what, they all circled the wagon, and in fact,
- 17:30Speaker 3: you know, they kind of sounded like like you remember
- 17:34Speaker 3: the old movie The Manchurian Candidate. Yeah, well, in The
- 17:38Speaker 3: Manchurian Candidate, all these folks who had brain been brainwashed
- 17:41Speaker 3: all said the same thing about the candidate that was
- 17:43Speaker 3: put forward. They all said, Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest,
- 17:48Speaker 3: most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
- 17:50Speaker 3: They all repeated that word for word. Yeah, that's almost
- 17:54Speaker 3: exactly what every Democrat said about Joe Biden. Joe Biden
- 17:57Speaker 3: is quick, He's on the ball. Oh my goodness, it's
- 18:00Speaker 3: the most incredible encyclopedic memory. He's doing like like nine
- 18:04Speaker 3: digit multiplication in his head. I mean it's like, you know,
- 18:07Speaker 3: fire shoots out of his fingertips. I mean it there
- 18:12Speaker 3: wasn't even a tiny bit of hesitation. Ye, a tiny
- 18:18Speaker 3: bit of gosh, this is bad for our country. They
- 18:21Speaker 3: didn't care. Yeah, And when did they pull the plug
- 18:25Speaker 3: on Biden after the debate when they're like, oh no,
- 18:27Speaker 3: we can't hide this anymore. Look, they would have been
- 18:30Speaker 3: glad to weekend at Bernie's Joe Biden literally have him
- 18:33Speaker 3: die in office, put him there and just raise the hand,
- 18:35Speaker 3: like Weekend at Bernie's when they had the dead men
- 18:37Speaker 3: they pretended to alive. The Democrats were fine with that.
- 18:40Speaker 3: They did not care if the President of the United
- 18:43Speaker 3: States was any longer competent. They did not care if
- 18:46Speaker 3: Eric Swalwell was a sexual predator, and they didn't care
- 18:50Speaker 3: if Graham Plattner was a sexual predator. What changed was
- 18:54Speaker 3: suddenly they thought there's a real risk of losing. And
- 18:57Speaker 3: listen to what zoron Mondami said today about Platner.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Hey, how's it going to sound good?
- 19:04Speaker 6: How are you? I wanted to ask, given that you
- 19:06Speaker 6: have a sort of a sendent role in the Democratic Party,
- 19:10Speaker 6: could you talk about the main Senate race. Do you
- 19:12Speaker 6: think that Graham Platner should drop out of the race,
- 19:14Speaker 6: and do you have any intention of endorsing any candidates
- 19:17Speaker 6: in competitive races outside of New York else I e.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It or anyone else.
- 19:22Speaker 4: I believe that it's time for him to drop out
- 19:24Speaker 4: of the race. And when it comes to my own endorsements,
- 19:27Speaker 4: I've made eight endorsements at the state and federal level.
- 19:31Speaker 4: They've all been right here in New York City. I'm
- 19:33Speaker 4: incredibly excited at the fact that they won their races.
- 19:36Speaker 4: And that's where my focus is for now.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I mean, there it is in his own words, right like,
- 19:40Speaker 2: that's it, that's it, you know, just just just go
- 19:43Speaker 2: along with what everybody else says.
- 19:45Speaker 1: At the very end, when you got to get rid
- 19:46Speaker 1: of somebody.
- 19:47Speaker 3: There, you go, Commedy is gonna come. And look, Mandami's saying,
- 19:50Speaker 3: look at all the communists I'm electing in New York.
- 19:52Speaker 3: There'll be time enough to get communists everywhere else. But
- 19:55Speaker 3: to be clear, he didn't care that Platner was a racist, misogynist,
- 20:02Speaker 3: Nazi communist. That didn't matter. All that mattered is uh, oh,
- 20:06Speaker 3: he's gonna lose. So here's what the AP is reporting tonight.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Succession fight is already underway as calls mount for Platner
- 20:13Speaker 3: to drop out of Maine Senate race. Democratic nominee Graham
- 20:17Speaker 3: Plattner hasn't resigned from the main U S Senate race
- 20:20Speaker 3: following an allegation of sexual assault, but the succession battle
- 20:23Speaker 3: to take his place was already underway Tuesday. The allegation
- 20:28Speaker 3: reported Monday prompted a chorus of calls for Plattner to
- 20:30Speaker 3: depart the high stakes race against Republican Senator Susan Collins,
- 20:34Speaker 3: which could decide party control of the Senate. Plattner's longtime backer,
- 20:38Speaker 3: Senator Bernie Sanders, quote recommended that he step aside. Then
- 20:43Speaker 3: Tuesday evening, The Washington Post reported that an ex girlfriend
- 20:46Speaker 3: of Platner had accused him of removing condoms during sex
- 20:49Speaker 3: without her consent. Plattner, who has denied all the allegations,
- 20:54Speaker 3: has been mum on whether he'll step aside, and the
- 20:57Speaker 3: main Democratic party charged with creating a process to pick
- 21:00Speaker 3: his replacement hasn't publicly announced their plans. On Tuesday night,
- 21:04Speaker 3: executive director Devon Murphy Anderson released a video saying the
- 21:08Speaker 3: party is developing in quote open, inclusive, transparent, and fair process,
- 21:14Speaker 3: but won't disclose details until Platner withdraws. Plattner's team has
- 21:20Speaker 3: repeatedly tried to quote put their thumb on the scale.
- 21:23Speaker 3: She said, quote we have repeatedly reiterated a grand Platner's
- 21:28Speaker 3: team that they will not have no role in determining
- 21:33Speaker 3: our next Democratic nominee for the US Senate, nor in
- 21:35Speaker 3: determining what this process looks like. An official for the
- 21:39Speaker 3: Platner campaign responded that it quote has reached out to
- 21:42Speaker 3: the party to try and understand what this process would
- 21:44Speaker 3: look like and quote, at no point has the campaign
- 21:47Speaker 3: tried to put its finger on the scale. The official
- 21:50Speaker 3: added that the thousands of main residents who voted for
- 21:53Speaker 3: and volunteered for Platner and they should play a role
- 21:57Speaker 3: in the decision. So understand, once you're no longer useful
- 22:03Speaker 3: to the communists, you will be discarded.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yeah, quickly, by the way.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Quickly, with no hesitation, and and and and let me look,
- 22:14Speaker 3: folks listening to this, you could be forgiven for being
- 22:18Speaker 3: somewhat cynical for saying, oh, come on, both parties, do
- 22:21Speaker 3: this and listen. It is true there are candidates for
- 22:24Speaker 3: both parties that are less than ideal, that have real,
- 22:28Speaker 3: real problems. Real false, that's that's true, because you know
- 22:31Speaker 3: candidates are human beings, and human beings are are flawed
- 22:34Speaker 3: and fallen creatures. But I will say I'd like to
- 22:37Speaker 3: draw a contrast between this race and Roy Moore in Alabama.
- 22:43Speaker 3: So Roy Moore was the Republican nominee for the Senate
- 22:47Speaker 3: in Alabama. I did not support Roy Moore in the primary.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Once he was the nominee, I endorsed him. I offered
- 22:55Speaker 3: my support because I wanted to win the seat. I
- 22:57Speaker 3: wanted the Alabama Senate seat to be held by a Republican.
- 23:01Speaker 3: After he was the nominee, there were serious, credible allegations
- 23:06Speaker 3: of sexual improprieties of Roy Moore with young teenage girls.
- 23:12Speaker 3: They were multiple, they were serious, they were credible, And
- 23:15Speaker 3: I actually called Roy Moore and I said, look, I
- 23:16Speaker 3: want to hear your response to this. I want you
- 23:19Speaker 3: to lay out and convince me this is not true.
- 23:23Speaker 3: And I will say that conversation was one of the
- 23:26Speaker 3: least satisfying conversations I've ever had with the candidate. He
- 23:28Speaker 3: did not have any response that I found remotely credible.
- 23:33Speaker 3: And so what did I do in that race? I
- 23:35Speaker 3: explicitly rescinded my endorsement because I said, look, I'm not
- 23:40Speaker 3: going to support someone who is sexually assaulting teenage girls.
- 23:44Speaker 3: That is not And you know what happened. Republicans lost
- 23:48Speaker 3: that seat. They elected Doug Jones, a Democrat, to the Senate,
- 23:52Speaker 3: and by the way, a bunch of Republicans after I
- 23:54Speaker 3: did that, followed by withdrawing their support. On the Democrat side,
- 23:59Speaker 3: you had John Fetterman who was alone in showing real courage.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And I want you to listen to what John Fetterman
- 24:07Speaker 3: said this week about Graham Plattner and about the real
- 24:11Speaker 3: fault and culpability for what happened.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
- 24:18Speaker 7: I would really call Bertie Sanders to apologize for pushing
- 24:24Speaker 7: this kind of predator more than anyone he helped him
- 24:27Speaker 7: elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
- 24:32Speaker 7: that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't
- 24:36Speaker 7: know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
- 24:39Speaker 7: Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
- 24:42Speaker 7: pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
- 24:46Speaker 7: you know like p Hustle.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Now he has been.
- 24:51Speaker 7: Incredibly accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that
- 24:55Speaker 7: was only less than five years ago.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
- 25:02Speaker 2: basically reviewing his options.
- 25:05Speaker 1: He's obviously gonna drop out.
- 25:06Speaker 4: Correct.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I love that he's obviously gonna drop out. Correct, I
- 25:11Speaker 2: think you'll drop out. I just I think the day
- 25:14Speaker 2: I hope that I'm right here for so many different reasons,
- 25:18Speaker 2: but I just think it'd be amazing to watch the
- 25:20Speaker 2: guy go, Okay, you guys want to burn me down, Fine,
- 25:23Speaker 2: you're all going down with me.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Ben I'm looking forward to some damn fine Mexican and
- 25:29Speaker 3: I will say this. Look, the chances that Bernie Sanders apologizes,
- 25:35Speaker 3: as John Fetterman called on him to do, I think
- 25:38Speaker 3: are zero point zero percent. Bernie's not gonna apologize. Chuck
- 25:42Speaker 3: Schumer is not going to apologize. Gerry Waltz is not
- 25:44Speaker 3: gonna apologize. Elizabeth Warren is definitely not gonna apologize. They
- 25:49Speaker 3: are perfectly fine. Sheldon white House is not gonna apologize.
- 25:52Speaker 3: None of them care. It is all about power. It
- 25:58Speaker 3: is all about their ability to be in power, and
- 26:01Speaker 3: it doesn't matter that they are. Look, you want to
- 26:05Speaker 3: know what the Democrats message from this cycle is. Elizabeth
- 26:09Speaker 3: Warren put it best.
- 26:12Speaker 5: That's my kind of man.
- 26:15Speaker 2: It's It's it's pretty accurate, isn't it. It's I mean,
- 26:18Speaker 2: it's just that's like my favorite quote from her, besides
- 26:21Speaker 2: being Pocahontas.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Well.
- 26:24Speaker 3: And I will say it is a sad expose of
- 26:28Speaker 3: the Democrat Party because they're gonna take take take him out.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Platter will be gone, which he should have been gone
- 26:34Speaker 3: a long long time ago. He should have been off
- 26:35Speaker 3: the ballot. Someone like this should not be uh in
- 26:38Speaker 3: the United States Senate. Uh. But but they're doing this.
- 26:42Speaker 3: The only reason that that they turned on him is
- 26:46Speaker 3: because his poll numbers dropped and they believed, uh, oh,
- 26:49Speaker 3: this guy's gonna lose. Let's dump him overboard and find
- 26:52Speaker 3: someone else. And by the way, that someone else if
- 26:54Speaker 3: they find another nazi, communist, oyster farmer, racist, misogynist, sexual predator.
- 27:01Speaker 3: If his poll numbers are decent, they'll stick with him.
- 27:05Speaker 3: If his poll numbers drop, they'll dump him as well.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Final question on this, what type of candidate do you
- 27:13Speaker 2: think the Democrats will go with when they replace him?
- 27:16Speaker 2: Will they go with another radical because that's there was
- 27:19Speaker 2: momentum they feel like for him before all of this,
- 27:22Speaker 2: or will they find kind of a vanilla Democrat statewide
- 27:27Speaker 2: office holder, maybe someone in the past. It's easy to
- 27:30Speaker 2: deal with that. There's not any of these types of
- 27:32Speaker 2: discoveries that will come out. What do you think the
- 27:35Speaker 2: Democrats will do?
- 27:36Speaker 3: So I don't know. I'll confess I don't know the
- 27:39Speaker 3: main Democrat party, so I don't know the decision makers there.
- 27:43Speaker 3: The most obvious choice would be Janet Mills, the Democrat
- 27:46Speaker 3: governor who ran against Platner and lost, although Mills has
- 27:50Speaker 3: said publicly that she's not running for Senate. Although that's
- 27:53Speaker 3: the kind of statement I am not currently running for
- 27:56Speaker 3: Senate is not the same thing as I would turn
- 27:58Speaker 3: down the nomination. If I were to guess, I would
- 28:01Speaker 3: cynically say that's who they pick because they think she
- 28:04Speaker 3: would have the best chance of winning. But who knows.
- 28:06Speaker 3: They might grab some crazy radical off a commune up
- 28:11Speaker 3: in the main Woods, and the Democrats don't care. It
- 28:15Speaker 3: doesn't have to be anyone with any qualifications. It doesn't
- 28:18Speaker 3: have to be anyone. Look, if you're willing to go
- 28:20Speaker 3: with a Nazi, communist oyster farmer, you're willing to go
- 28:23Speaker 3: with anyone. Their only test is gonna be who do
- 28:26Speaker 3: we think can win and if they can get can
- 28:29Speaker 3: win plus crazy for them. I think that's a plus.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Yeah, there it is.
