- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in as Verdict with Center Ted Cruz. We're in
- 0:04Speaker 1: studio this week as well, so people that are listening,
- 0:06Speaker 1: they can also watch this episode on YouTube or on Facebook, acts,
- 0:09Speaker 1: et cetera. This is gonna be a fun show, one
- 0:12Speaker 1: that people are gonna want to share with their family
- 0:14Speaker 1: and their friends because we're gonna talk about how just
- 0:17Speaker 1: six months in to this presidency, the winds are incredible,
- 0:22Speaker 1: even comparing it to twenty sixteen, this is moving at
- 0:25Speaker 1: such an incredible pace for the president's agenda items. Having
- 0:29Speaker 1: the sen in the House on your side and working
- 0:31Speaker 1: with you is amazing, and there's been some celebration on that,
- 0:34Speaker 1: but the media is not covering much of the success.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly right.
- 0:38Speaker 3: And this is one of those episodes where the value
- 0:40Speaker 3: of a podcast becomes clear because the corporate media does
- 0:44Speaker 3: not want the American people to know the size the
- 0:48Speaker 3: scope of President Trump's success, and so the only way
- 0:51Speaker 3: you can get the information we're gonna have in this
- 0:53Speaker 3: podcast is listening to this podcast or other things similar,
- 0:56Speaker 3: although I'm not sure there's a whole lot similar to
- 0:58Speaker 3: listen to. But let's take what President Trump just put
- 1:01Speaker 3: up on Truth Social Wow Time flies. Today is the
- 1:06Speaker 3: six month anniversary of my second term. Importantly, it's being
- 1:10Speaker 3: hailed as one of the most consequential periods of any president.
- 1:14Speaker 3: In other words, we got a lot of good and
- 1:17Speaker 3: great things done, including ending numerous wars of countries not
- 1:20Speaker 3: related to US other than through trade and or in
- 1:24Speaker 3: certain cases friendship. Six months is not a long time
- 1:27Speaker 3: to have totally revived a major country. Quote, one year ago,
- 1:32Speaker 3: our country was dead with almost no hope of revival. Today,
- 1:36Speaker 3: the USA is the quote hottest and most respected country
- 1:40Speaker 3: anywhere in the world. Happy anniversary it I got to
- 1:44Speaker 3: say that is not hyperbole.
- 1:46Speaker 2: YEA.
- 1:47Speaker 3: The six months that we have seen in twenty twenty
- 1:49Speaker 3: five under President Trump's second term, I believe have been
- 1:53Speaker 3: the most consequential six months of any president of our lifetime.
- 1:57Speaker 3: We are going to break down the victories, the major
- 1:59Speaker 3: victory right now.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to talk to you real quick though,
- 2:02Speaker 1: about a bill that you've got every month and a
- 2:04Speaker 1: change you can make and support the causes that you
- 2:07Speaker 1: believe in at the very same time, and that's Patriot Mobile. Look,
- 2:11Speaker 1: there's a lot of choices for cell phone service, but
- 2:13Speaker 1: there's one that is really a big difference, and it's
- 2:18Speaker 1: one where you can boldly stand in the gap for
- 2:20Speaker 1: every American that believes in freedom and that it's worth
- 2:23Speaker 1: fighting for, and that is a company called Patriot Mobile.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Switching to Patriot Mobile today is easier than ever, and
- 2:29Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a free month of service.
- 2:32Speaker 1: But let me explain to you about what you get.
- 2:34Speaker 1: If you're worried about coverage, you shouldn't be. Patriot Mobile
- 2:38Speaker 1: uses all three major US networks and that means that
- 2:41Speaker 1: you're gonna have premium service wherever you are.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 2:45Speaker 1: If you think switching is a hassle and that's why
- 2:48Speaker 1: you haven't made the switch, it's not anymore. In twenty
- 2:50Speaker 1: twenty five. You can keep your same number, keep your
- 2:53Speaker 1: same phone, or upgrade to a new one. And Patriot
- 2:56Speaker 1: Mobile has a one hundred percent US based team that
- 2:59Speaker 1: will get you act activated literally in minutes from the
- 3:02Speaker 1: comfort your home or your office. Now, if you've got
- 3:04Speaker 1: a small business in multiple lines, or family with a
- 3:07Speaker 1: lot of phones, not a problem. If you're stuck in
- 3:10Speaker 1: a contract or owe money on your phones, no worries,
- 3:13Speaker 1: because Patriot Mobile right now has a contract buyout program.
- 3:17Speaker 1: This is how we win folks by ligning our spending
- 3:21Speaker 1: with our values and about five percent of your bill
- 3:25Speaker 1: every month with Patriot Mobile, they put back to work,
- 3:28Speaker 1: to set up for your First and your Second Amendment rights,
- 3:30Speaker 1: the rights of unborn children, and to stand with our
- 3:33Speaker 1: wounded warriors and our veterans. That is just some of
- 3:36Speaker 1: the great things they do every month. So make the switch.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's never been easier. Now, let me give you that
- 3:42Speaker 1: free month of service. Go to Patriot Mobile dot com
- 3:45Speaker 1: slash verdict Patriotmobile dot com slash vertict or nine to
- 3:49Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot. Use that promo code vertict. You're
- 3:52Speaker 1: going to one month of free service. Switching today Patriot
- 3:56Speaker 1: Mobile dot com slash vertict or nine to seven to
- 3:58Speaker 1: two Patriot. So Senat, you guys got to have actually
- 4:02Speaker 1: a celebratory dinner at the White House. Not a bad
- 4:05Speaker 1: place to hang out. The President decided, let's celebrate the
- 4:09Speaker 1: Accomplishment's the big beautiful Bill. I actually think this speaks
- 4:12Speaker 1: to him understanding politics so much more now than he
- 4:14Speaker 1: did in twenty sixteen. When you win, celebrate with your team.
- 4:18Speaker 1: There does seem to be a team mentality with his
- 4:21Speaker 1: president now in Congress. I don't know if we had
- 4:23Speaker 1: that in twenty sixteen, that's paying dividends. And you guys
- 4:26Speaker 1: got together for a dinner to celebrate the hard work.
- 4:29Speaker 3: So it was a fantastic celebration dinner. It was Friday night.
- 4:33Speaker 3: The President invited Republican senators to come join us. About
- 4:36Speaker 3: thirty Republican senators came with our spouses. So Heidi was there,
- 4:41Speaker 3: and it was great fun. We were celebrating the victories
- 4:44Speaker 3: of the first six months, but in particular the one big,
- 4:47Speaker 3: beautiful Bill. And I'll tell you you can see some
- 4:49Speaker 3: of the images from that night. Heidi and I were
- 4:52Speaker 3: with the President. He was in as good a mood
- 4:55Speaker 3: as I have ever seen him. He was jubilant. Look,
- 4:58Speaker 3: we were celebrating. We were lebrating that night. We were
- 5:01Speaker 3: feeling fantastic. It turns out winning is a good thing.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I'm not tired of winning yet. Yeah, and none of
- 5:07Speaker 3: the rest of us are either. And it was the
- 5:10Speaker 3: entire atmosphere the President said, but the rest of us
- 5:14Speaker 3: agreed with what he said in that truth, these have
- 5:18Speaker 3: been the most consequential six months of any president of
- 5:21Speaker 3: our lifetime, and also we have seen the most conservative
- 5:26Speaker 3: victories in any six months period in our lifetime, and
- 5:30Speaker 3: I want in this podcast, I want to highlight five
- 5:33Speaker 3: of those victories. But the fifth one is the One
- 5:35Speaker 3: Big Beautiful Bill. And one of the things we're going
- 5:37Speaker 3: to do in this podcast is we're going to break
- 5:39Speaker 3: down some of the major elements of that One Big
- 5:41Speaker 3: Beautiful Bill because the press has demonized it. And it
- 5:45Speaker 3: is extraordinary how many wins were in the One Big
- 5:48Speaker 3: Beautiful Bill. But if you're looking at President Trump's first
- 5:51Speaker 3: six months, the number one victory is obvious and it
- 5:56Speaker 3: has to be the border, because doubt this election was
- 6:00Speaker 3: a referendum on Joe Biden, the Democrats open borders on
- 6:05Speaker 3: four years of twelve million illegals flooding into this country.
- 6:08Speaker 3: The American people said enough is enough. And the results
- 6:11Speaker 3: President Trump has produced are utterly unprecedented. And by the way,
- 6:18Speaker 3: if you don't want to believe Ben well, that's usually
- 6:20Speaker 3: a good instinct.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Even if you.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Don't want to believe me, believe ABC News and God
- 6:27Speaker 3: helped me that. I just uttered that sentence. But give
- 6:29Speaker 3: a listen to what ABC News says about what President
- 6:32Speaker 3: Trump is accomplished on the border.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Today mark six months since President Trump returned to office.
- 6:37Speaker 5: For his second term. It has been a head spinning
- 6:40Speaker 5: half year, from sweeping changes in the federal government to
- 6:44Speaker 5: mass deportations and bombs dropped on Iran. The President promise changes,
- 6:49Speaker 5: and there is no question he has made them. President
- 6:52Speaker 5: Trump won the twenty twenty four election based largely on
- 6:56Speaker 5: his vow to improve the economy and crack down on
- 6:59Speaker 5: illegal immigration. He has declared success on both.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I mean, that's coming from ABC News. It was also
- 7:06Speaker 1: interesting this week. I was up in New York for
- 7:08Speaker 1: a couple of days, and I love green room conversations
- 7:10Speaker 1: because you get you're hanging out with usually someone from
- 7:12Speaker 1: the opposite party, and I won't say their name. It
- 7:16Speaker 1: was a Democrat operative high up in the Democratic Party,
- 7:19Speaker 1: and what was said to me was, you guys screwed up.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Y'all secured the border too quick.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I would have slow played it longer to get more
- 7:26Speaker 1: of a victory lap out of it because it was
- 7:28Speaker 1: shut down so fast. They said to me, They're like,
- 7:30Speaker 1: we can't believe how fast you guys had the success
- 7:34Speaker 1: of closing the southern border.
- 7:36Speaker 4: And they said, politically, you should have played it out
- 7:38Speaker 4: a little longer.
- 7:39Speaker 3: You know what, that doesn't shock me a Democrat says
- 7:42Speaker 3: that because to Democrats everything is political. Yeah, it's all
- 7:46Speaker 3: about political battles. Never mind what that Democrat is saying.
- 7:50Speaker 3: You should have let more Americans be murdered for longer.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You should have let more women be raped by illegals
- 7:55Speaker 3: for longer, you should have let more children be brutalized
- 7:58Speaker 3: by child molesters. I mean, what a revealing comment. And
- 8:03Speaker 3: I got to say, I disagree even as just a
- 8:06Speaker 3: matter of political strategy with whatever that unnamed operative named
- 8:13Speaker 3: David Axelrod said. But and here's why I disagree, because
- 8:19Speaker 3: the fact that it was done so quickly demonstrates for
- 8:23Speaker 3: all times that what the Democrats did was deliberate. Yep,
- 8:27Speaker 3: that they could have fixed it at any time, and
- 8:30Speaker 3: they didn't because they wanted the border open. And they
- 8:34Speaker 3: were perfectly fine everyone who died the last four years,
- 8:38Speaker 3: every single Democrat said, Hey, if it benefits me politically,
- 8:42Speaker 3: I will let your family die. That level of cynicism,
- 8:46Speaker 3: I think it's very hard to come back from. And
- 8:48Speaker 3: even now they're telling you, gosh, you should let more
- 8:51Speaker 3: people die because you'd get some political advantage from it.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That's just wrong.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It's also interesting in the conversation that we had, and
- 8:57Speaker 1: I think this is a bigger point the America view
- 8:59Speaker 1: needed saying about the win and how big of a
- 9:01Speaker 1: deal this is. They were even talking about how flooding
- 9:05Speaker 1: the border and illegal immigrants really helped shape the map
- 9:08Speaker 1: for Democrats. We're able to give them more votes in
- 9:10Speaker 1: Congress because of population, and we were counting illegal immigrants
- 9:15Speaker 1: is a part of the population. They were saying, that's
- 9:17Speaker 1: one of the things that because the border was open.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I mean, this was an open conversation.
- 9:21Speaker 2: They were completely open about it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: But in terms of the successes on this, let's go
- 9:25Speaker 3: back to ABC News because again, and what's very funny
- 9:28Speaker 3: is you can tell Martha hates this.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She yeah, miserable.
- 9:30Speaker 4: You know.
- 9:31Speaker 3: In that last segment we played, she describes it as
- 9:33Speaker 3: head spinning. I gotta say, I am glad the corporate
- 9:37Speaker 3: media's heads are spinning. I want them to spin a
- 9:39Speaker 3: whole lot more. But listen to ABC describing the president's
- 9:42Speaker 3: success on Secure in the Border.
- 9:44Speaker 5: You will hit the border with Mexico where there is
- 9:47Speaker 5: little question that Trump is fulfilling a campaign promise.
- 9:51Speaker 6: All illegal entry will immediately be halted.
- 9:55Speaker 5: In a matter of months. Migrant crossings have hit record lows.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Apprehensions that the southern border dropped to six thousand and
- 10:03Speaker 5: seventy two in the month of June, a massive reduction
- 10:07Speaker 5: from the eighty three thousand, five hundred and thirty two
- 10:10Speaker 5: apprehensions recorded in June of last year.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Over twenty five miles of Concertino our US marines put up.
- 10:17Speaker 5: For US Acting Patrol Chief Jeffrey Stollnucker tells US the
- 10:21Speaker 5: San Diego sector has seen a significant drop in illegal entries.
- 10:26Speaker 6: And what that has done, it's allowed us to get
- 10:28Speaker 6: our agents back on the border to do their traditional work.
- 10:32Speaker 6: In addition to that, we have maximized consequences. It can
- 10:35Speaker 6: be an immigration consequence or a consequence because of a
- 10:38Speaker 6: criminal history something they've done in the past.
- 10:40Speaker 5: So in other words, if they come across, you find
- 10:42Speaker 5: out they have criminal history, they go to jail and
- 10:46Speaker 5: probably be kicked out later, or if they don't, they're
- 10:49Speaker 5: just immediately.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So criminal history and immigration, you go back to one
- 10:52Speaker 1: thing he said there, he said, we've been able to
- 10:54Speaker 1: now get our officers to be able to go back
- 10:57Speaker 1: to the border and do their job. One of the
- 10:59Speaker 1: things as that happened was there was so much taking
- 11:01Speaker 1: care of all these legal immigrants were coming across on
- 11:04Speaker 1: purpose that you pulled them away from their jobs of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the border, which allowed more people to come across the
- 11:09Speaker 1: border and allowed the cycle to continue to grow.
- 11:12Speaker 3: The patrol agents were processing that, they were changing diapers,
- 11:16Speaker 3: they were administering baby food. Look, one of the things
- 11:19Speaker 3: we covered at a previous pod talking about the flooding
- 11:22Speaker 3: in the Texas Hill Country, Texas DPS said, we were
- 11:26Speaker 3: able to be here rescuing people from drowning. Why because
- 11:31Speaker 3: we're not on the southern border anymore. Because finally the
- 11:34Speaker 3: federal government is doing its job. So DPS was able
- 11:37Speaker 3: to be in Texas saving Texans and so that consequence
- 11:41Speaker 3: is massive. All right, that's victory number one the border.
- 11:43Speaker 3: In the first six months, we have secured the border
- 11:46Speaker 3: and we're going to lock that in and make it permanent.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Victory number two. President Trump won a war with Iran.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Yes period the end Iran, the Iatola channing death to America,
- 11:59Speaker 3: Death to Israel. Israel defeated Hamas, Israel defeated Hesbela with
- 12:03Speaker 3: our support YEP, and Israel defeated Iran, took out their
- 12:08Speaker 3: nuclear capabilities in one of the most amazing successful military
- 12:13Speaker 3: strikes of our lifetimes. And President Trump ordered a targeted
- 12:17Speaker 3: bombing strike B twos flew all the way around the world,
- 12:21Speaker 3: took out Iran's nuclear facilities, not a single US casualty,
- 12:25Speaker 3: utterly decimated and destroyed Iran's nuclear capability, secured the border,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and won a war and we're just six months into it.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Hold on, Democrats said he's gonna start War three if
- 12:35Speaker 1: he did this.
- 12:36Speaker 4: What happened to that.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Narrative by Democrats? Do you mean Tucker Carlson.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Let's be clear that's true. He didn't say that as well.
- 12:42Speaker 3: So let's be clear that Tucker and others said if
- 12:45Speaker 3: Donald Trump bombs Iran, he said it will start World
- 12:49Speaker 3: War three yep. He said thousands of Americans will die, yep.
- 12:53Speaker 3: And he said it's a world war that America will lose.
- 12:57Speaker 3: So that was his prediction. Iran will beat US in
- 13:00Speaker 3: World War three. Now that wasn't just a teeny weeny
- 13:03Speaker 3: bit wrong. Yeah, it was totally one hundred percent absolutely false.
- 13:08Speaker 3: And all of the Democrats who agreed with Tucker Carlson,
- 13:11Speaker 3: all of the aocs and left wing nuts who agreed
- 13:14Speaker 3: with Tucker Carlson, all of the corporate media hacks who
- 13:17Speaker 3: agreed with Tuck Tucker Carlson, all of them were wrong,
- 13:21Speaker 3: and President Trump was how.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Much safer are we now that we actually much not
- 13:25Speaker 1: just took out their nuclear facilities and pushed them way back.
- 13:28Speaker 1: But also I do think it also sends a very
- 13:31Speaker 1: big message to other terrorists around the world and to
- 13:36Speaker 1: other bad actors around the world. If you push America,
- 13:40Speaker 1: we will defend ourselves.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Under this administration, the enemies of America are terrified of
- 13:45Speaker 3: Donald Trump. That is a very good thing. Look, I
- 13:48Speaker 3: believe in peace through strength. I want our commander in
- 13:51Speaker 3: chief to be strong. Now that doesn't mean that we
- 13:54Speaker 3: engage in forever wars. Look, it's important to understand Donald
- 13:57Speaker 3: Trump didn't invade Iran. He didn't send boots on the grid.
- 14:00Speaker 3: He's not trying to turn or Ran into Switzerland. But
- 14:03Speaker 3: what he did do is acted decisively to take out
- 14:06Speaker 3: nuclear weapons being developed to potentially be used against the
- 14:10Speaker 3: United States of America. That is a strong commander chief.
- 14:13Speaker 3: By the way, he is also acting to take out
- 14:16Speaker 3: the Huthis who are bombing American ships and harassing American commerce.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And the message the message to Iran, the message to
- 14:22Speaker 3: North Korea, the message of Venezuela, the message to Cuba,
- 14:24Speaker 3: the message to Russia, the message to China. If you
- 14:27Speaker 3: are an enemy of America, you are dealing with a
- 14:29Speaker 3: commander in chief who will stand up and defend America.
- 14:33Speaker 3: And here's what the isolationists never understand. Weakness produces more
- 14:39Speaker 3: military conflict. Because our enemies are afraid of President Trump,
- 14:43Speaker 3: we are much much less likely to go to war.
- 14:46Speaker 3: I want our enemies afraid of the American president.
- 14:49Speaker 1: This again, I think you said it's victory number two.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I think it's so understated by the media mass just
- 14:56Speaker 1: how big of a victory this was. And the fact
- 14:57Speaker 1: that there was no loss of American lives and World
- 15:00Speaker 1: War three wasn't started, and now the rest of the world.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It wasn't guaranteed.
- 15:04Speaker 3: I mean, when Trump gave that order, it could have
- 15:07Speaker 3: gone very very differently. Imagine if those B two's had
- 15:10Speaker 3: dropped a bunker buster and had missed its target and
- 15:13Speaker 3: hit a civilian target instead, and there had been hundreds
- 15:16Speaker 3: or thousands of casualties. That would have been a dramatically
- 15:18Speaker 3: different event. Imagine if those American planes had been shot down.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Remember Jimmy Carter. When Iran took Americans hostage, he launched
- 15:27Speaker 3: a military strike to try to get them down, and
- 15:30Speaker 3: our helicopters crossed, crashed in the desert with no opposing fire.
- 15:34Speaker 3: The entire dynamic would have been very different if we
- 15:37Speaker 3: had lost American servicemen and women on that on that attack. Instead,
- 15:41Speaker 3: it was delivered with incredible precision and total success. That's
- 15:47Speaker 3: valuable not only for defeating Iran, but for every one
- 15:50Speaker 3: of our enemies, and by the way, every one of
- 15:52Speaker 3: our friends to sit back and say, holy cow, don't
- 15:56Speaker 3: mess with it.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Don't mess with them, all right? Big victory number two?
- 15:59Speaker 4: What's three?
- 15:59Speaker 2: Victory number three?
- 16:00Speaker 3: It's one that I care particularly about, to Take It
- 16:03Speaker 3: Down Act, And I'll tell you Friday at the White House,
- 16:06Speaker 3: the President brought the Take It Down Act as one
- 16:08Speaker 3: of the major victories of his first six months. He
- 16:10Speaker 3: brought up Malania Trump.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, she was all involved in that.
- 16:14Speaker 3: She leaned in hard. I wrote the Take It Down Act.
- 16:17Speaker 3: It is the first bill in years restricting big tech.
- 16:20Speaker 3: It is protecting children, women, and teenage girls from non
- 16:25Speaker 3: consensual intimate imagery, either real intimate intimate images or deep
- 16:29Speaker 3: fakes made using AI we passed it through the Senate,
- 16:33Speaker 3: we passed it through the House.
- 16:34Speaker 2: We had a great bill.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Signing at the on the South Lawn And in fact,
- 16:38Speaker 3: when you walk into the White House and you can
- 16:41Speaker 3: see this is framed. This is the first picture that's
- 16:44Speaker 3: framed as you come into the White House. I'm standing
- 16:47Speaker 3: directly behind the President and this is the signing of
- 16:51Speaker 3: the Take It Down Act. And what was interesting is
- 16:54Speaker 3: after President Trump signed it, he handed it to the
- 16:57Speaker 3: First Lady and he said, here, Milania, you want to
- 16:59Speaker 3: sign it. So the picture is actually of her signing it.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Remember we talked on this podcast, I'm willing to bed
- 17:04Speaker 3: I'm virtually certain this is the first and only law
- 17:07Speaker 3: on American history that's been signed by the first Lady.
- 17:09Speaker 3: And so the bill has two signatures, Donald Trump and
- 17:12Speaker 3: then Milania Trump under it. And one of the questions
- 17:15Speaker 3: you asked as you said, well, does that create a
- 17:17Speaker 3: legal problem that Milania sign its lept No. Once the
- 17:19Speaker 3: president signs it, Mickey Mouse can sign it and it
- 17:22Speaker 3: doesn't undo it. But it's still very cool that the
- 17:25Speaker 3: First Lady signed it. It was a great victory for kids,
- 17:27Speaker 3: and what an idea right It was not autopen we
- 17:31Speaker 3: were standing there, and I just love that that's the
- 17:33Speaker 3: first picture when you come into the White House.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And I also think it talks about how important this
- 17:38Speaker 1: is to the White House and to the First Lady.
- 17:40Speaker 1: And and Milania Trump has made it pretty clear she says,
- 17:44Speaker 1: out of the political stuff, this was a moral issue
- 17:47Speaker 1: for her.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah, this was a ting kids and protecting women.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And that to her was a non political issue, which
- 17:52Speaker 1: is I think why she's there and signing it.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Absolutely Yes. So fourth big victory decisions. This past week
- 17:59Speaker 3: we past the first recisions recisions.
- 18:02Speaker 2: It is an.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Expedited process to cut spending. We cut nine billion dollars
- 18:07Speaker 3: in spending. We cut a bunch of foreign aid spending,
- 18:10Speaker 3: which was a good thing. We codified some of the
- 18:12Speaker 3: Doze cuts on foreign affairs. But most notably, we cut
- 18:16Speaker 3: the federal funding for PBS and for NPR. Now, that
- 18:20Speaker 3: is something conservatives have been fighting to do for fifty years,
- 18:24Speaker 3: as long as you and I have been alive. Conservatives
- 18:27Speaker 3: have been fighting to cut the funding of PBS and NPR.
- 18:31Speaker 3: We talked about the President talked at dinner when we
- 18:33Speaker 3: were at the White House. He said, you know what
- 18:34Speaker 3: Reagan couldn't do it Bush couldn't do it.
- 18:36Speaker 4: And they've tried, and they tried, they did.
- 18:38Speaker 1: When people understand the history of this, this is something
- 18:40Speaker 1: they tried to do, couldn't get it done.
- 18:42Speaker 3: And just a week ago we were on the Senate
- 18:44Speaker 3: floor till two thirty in the morning. I'll tell you
- 18:47Speaker 3: the reason we were there at two thirty in the morning.
- 18:49Speaker 3: The last four hours there was a real chance we
- 18:52Speaker 3: were not going to get the votes. It looked like
- 18:54Speaker 3: the votes it was going to go down, and we
- 18:56Speaker 3: were spending four hours. It wasn't that we wanted to
- 18:58Speaker 3: vote at two thirty in the morning, It's that at
- 19:00Speaker 3: ten pm we didn't have the votes, and so we
- 19:03Speaker 3: spent four hours trying to get the votes.
- 19:05Speaker 2: We got them.
- 19:06Speaker 4: How hard is that?
- 19:07Speaker 1: I just got to ask, like, when you're and you're
- 19:09Speaker 1: one or two votes, I'm assuming at that point, right
- 19:12Speaker 1: we were one?
- 19:13Speaker 2: Who they are?
- 19:14Speaker 3: There were four no votes. We could only afford to
- 19:16Speaker 3: lose three, and so we had to work and talk
- 19:19Speaker 3: to the folks and strategize and go back and forth.
- 19:23Speaker 3: And we got it done. But it was four hours
- 19:25Speaker 3: of major uncertainty because if it had been voted down,
- 19:30Speaker 3: it would have been catastrophic and so we avoided that.
- 19:33Speaker 3: And I just want to say, and look, there's going
- 19:34Speaker 3: to be more recisions that come over. Heidi and I
- 19:38Speaker 3: were sitting, we were sitting with Russ Vote, who's the
- 19:40Speaker 3: head of omb great conservative, great friend. We were telling
- 19:43Speaker 3: Russ send more and he's like, look, this was a
- 19:46Speaker 3: test case that will Republicans in Congress stand up and
- 19:49Speaker 3: actually cut spending? And we did, and for it to
- 19:52Speaker 3: be PBS and NPR. You know, I spoke on the
- 19:55Speaker 3: Senate floor. We talked about this in the last podcast
- 19:58Speaker 3: and I said, listen, if if you want to listen
- 20:00Speaker 3: to left wing propaganda, turn on MSNBC.
- 20:04Speaker 4: Yep, but they do a great job.
- 20:06Speaker 3: There's no reason I wouldn't know, but there's no reason
- 20:11Speaker 3: the taxpayer should subsidize it. And we actually got that done.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I will confess I did somewhat somewhat tongue in cheek
- 20:18Speaker 3: ask the President if the dinner menu Friday night if
- 20:22Speaker 3: they were serving big burg for dinner, with which some
- 20:25Speaker 3: of my colleagues have grown a bit at, But look
- 20:27Speaker 3: it was. That is a massive conservative victory. That's victory
- 20:31Speaker 3: number four.
- 20:32Speaker 4: It's a huge one.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Want to take a moment and talk to you about
- 20:34Speaker 1: an awesome company. Two of my good friends, Clay and Buck,
- 20:38Speaker 1: they decided to start a coffee company with small batch coffee. Now,
- 20:43Speaker 1: if you start your day with coffee, then you need
- 20:46Speaker 1: to check out Crockett Coffee. If you haven't had it yet,
- 20:50Speaker 1: then you got to try it. And I'm gonna save
- 20:52Speaker 1: you twenty percent off your first order now. Crockett Coffee
- 20:57Speaker 1: is small batch, roasted to on purpose by experts who
- 21:02Speaker 1: love the taste of a great cup of coffee. It's
- 21:06Speaker 1: also roasted in our nation's heartland and delivered fresh to
- 21:09Speaker 1: your home. Krocket Coffee also gives back. Yes, Buck Sexton
- 21:14Speaker 1: and Clay Travis, my fellow patriots. They wanted to make
- 21:17Speaker 1: sure they never sold out, and they gave you coffee
- 21:20Speaker 1: that you love. And look in the coffee space, there
- 21:24Speaker 1: are a lot of really liberal, woke companies, so why
- 21:27Speaker 1: give them your money?
- 21:28Speaker 2: Now?
- 21:28Speaker 1: You can choose between fresh ground coffee, whole being coffee,
- 21:32Speaker 1: or even k cups. If you choose, and if you're
- 21:35Speaker 1: interested in mushroom coffee and the positive benefits that come
- 21:37Speaker 1: with enjoying that each day, Krockett Coffee is now producing
- 21:41Speaker 1: that as well. There's dark roast, a mild roast, a
- 21:44Speaker 1: light roast, a decaf version. I drink that in the
- 21:46Speaker 1: after in the evening when I'm doing my show, and
- 21:49Speaker 1: the Mushroom Organic blend. You choose what you like to
- 21:53Speaker 1: try first. And here's the part I love. A portion
- 21:56Speaker 1: of your purchase goes to support the Tunnel to Towers
- 21:59Speaker 1: Foundation because the good people at Crockett Cooffee also pledged
- 22:04Speaker 1: to never forget. Now, let me save you money while
- 22:07Speaker 1: you try a great cup of small batch coffee Crocketcoffee
- 22:11Speaker 1: dot Com.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Use my name Ben.
- 22:14Speaker 1: You'll get twenty percent off your first order. It's Crocketcoffee
- 22:18Speaker 1: dot Com, my name Ben, and your promo code. When
- 22:22Speaker 1: you put that in, you're gonna save twenty percent off
- 22:24Speaker 1: Crocketcoffee dot Com. Promo code Ben, twenty percent off your
- 22:28Speaker 1: first order. Senator, you said you had a top list.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Here five this is the big one. Number five is
- 22:35Speaker 1: the whole meat potatoes.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Number five is the one, big beautiful bill. And you
- 22:41Speaker 3: know it's interesting. We have seen for months Democrats in
- 22:43Speaker 3: the media trying to demagogue this bill, trying to spread
- 22:46Speaker 3: lies about this bill, trying to fear monger about this bill.
- 22:50Speaker 3: I will tell you something. The President said Friday night,
- 22:52Speaker 3: and multiple of us, including me, said Friday night, this
- 22:56Speaker 3: bill has the most conservative victories in it of any
- 23:00Speaker 3: piece of legislation I think that has ever passed into law.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I don't like it as hyperbole. There is no other
- 23:06Speaker 3: bill that has as many major conservative victories. I'm gonna
- 23:10Speaker 3: walk through quickly, twelve of them. We're gonna do this fast.
- 23:13Speaker 3: But this is information you cannot get anywhere else. In
- 23:16Speaker 3: this segment right now is the reason to listen to Verdict.
- 23:19Speaker 3: It's the reason to share it with your friends. It's
- 23:22Speaker 3: the reason to post it online. It's the reason to
- 23:24Speaker 3: make sure you subscribe, because you can watch CNN all
- 23:28Speaker 3: day long. God help you.
- 23:30Speaker 2: If you do.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Your eyes will bleed, you will go insane and run
- 23:33Speaker 3: around in circles. But you could watch it all day
- 23:35Speaker 3: long and you will not get this information that you're
- 23:38Speaker 3: getting right now on Verdict. Twelve victories that are in
- 23:42Speaker 3: the One Big Beautiful Bill. Victory number one, we have
- 23:46Speaker 3: stopped a four trillion dollar tax increase. If we did
- 23:50Speaker 3: nothing on December thirty first, the Trump tax cuts would disappear,
- 23:54Speaker 3: and every American taxpayer, your taxes would go up significantly
- 23:58Speaker 3: trillion dollars every time taxpayer. And by the way, the
- 24:01Speaker 3: Democrats wanted your taxes to go up. To stop a
- 24:05Speaker 3: four trillion dollar tax increase is a massive victory. That's
- 24:09Speaker 3: victory one and the one big beautiful bill. Victory two.
- 24:13Speaker 3: We enacted new tax cuts. No tax on tips. Yep,
- 24:17Speaker 3: that's my legislation. I drafted it. It is in this bill.
- 24:20Speaker 3: That means if you're a waiter or waitress, if you're
- 24:23Speaker 3: a bartender, if you're a barber or a hairstylist, if
- 24:26Speaker 3: you work in a nail salon, if you're a taxicab
- 24:28Speaker 3: driver or an uber driver. Millions of Americans rely on tips.
- 24:32Speaker 3: We're providing real and meaningful tax relief to working Americans.
- 24:36Speaker 3: That's in there. No tax on overtime is in there,
- 24:39Speaker 3: No tax on Social Security is in there. All three
- 24:41Speaker 3: of those were President Trump's campaign promises. We delivered on
- 24:45Speaker 3: all three of those, and working Americans all across Texas
- 24:48Speaker 3: and all across this country will see the benefits of
- 24:52Speaker 3: those major tax cuts.
- 24:55Speaker 4: That's huge. I mean, it's just huge.
- 24:56Speaker 1: When you think about that and you think about the
- 24:58Speaker 1: promise and how it was, you know, you look at
- 25:01Speaker 1: the President I go back to the campaign. Yeah, and
- 25:03Speaker 1: he came out he was in Vegas, and he was like, Hey,
- 25:06Speaker 1: we shouldn't be taxing people that are working their tails
- 25:08Speaker 1: off and the tips and everything else. And then the
- 25:10Speaker 1: left actually came out immediately started attacking him for the
- 25:13Speaker 1: say it will never happen. This is not a good idea.
- 25:15Speaker 1: This is they did say it will never happen. He said,
- 25:17Speaker 1: it's an empty promise.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yep.
- 25:18Speaker 3: By the way, I've told the story of where he
- 25:20Speaker 3: came up with the idea of no tax on tips.
- 25:22Speaker 3: He was the day of his Vegas rally. He was
- 25:24Speaker 3: having lunch in Vegas. He said, there was a waitress
- 25:26Speaker 3: who came up to him. I was serving him lunch,
- 25:28Speaker 3: and Trump being Trump, he told us he said she
- 25:31Speaker 3: was beautiful.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I'm telling you.
- 25:33Speaker 3: She was beautiful. And she he said, she was saying
- 25:36Speaker 3: how stressful it was to pay taxes on tips and
- 25:39Speaker 3: how complicated it was. And he said, he just put
- 25:41Speaker 3: out a piece of paper and he wrote on the
- 25:42Speaker 3: piece of paper, no tax on tips. He said, what
- 25:44Speaker 3: do you think she says that sounds great? And he said,
- 25:47Speaker 3: I had a rally that afternoon, so I went out
- 25:49Speaker 3: to the rally and I said, all right, let's try
- 25:50Speaker 3: it out. And he said, no tax on tips.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Place went nuts.
- 25:53Speaker 3: It went nuts, and town I mean it. Yes, people
- 25:57Speaker 3: will make five percent of the workers in Nevada are
- 25:59Speaker 3: tipped and so rely on it as their im guests.
- 26:03Speaker 3: And so I saw it, and I said, this is
- 26:05Speaker 3: political genius, and I immediately drafted the legislation to make
- 26:09Speaker 3: it happen. That is part of One Big Beautiful Bill
- 26:11Speaker 3: Victory three Securing the Border. We mentioned what the President
- 26:16Speaker 3: has done by enforcing the law. What we put in
- 26:19Speaker 3: One Big Beautiful Bill is one hundred and fifty billion
- 26:22Speaker 3: dollars to secure the border. It is the largest investment
- 26:26Speaker 3: in border security in the history of America. It will
- 26:29Speaker 3: build the wall, it will complete the wall. We will
- 26:32Speaker 3: hire more border patrol agents, we will hire more ice agents.
- 26:35Speaker 3: We will build more detention facilities, we will have more
- 26:38Speaker 3: detention beds, and we will employ technology, infrared, drones, helicopters.
- 26:44Speaker 3: It is, as I said, the biggest investment ever to
- 26:46Speaker 3: secure the border that is in the bill.
- 26:49Speaker 4: One of the things that you mentioned there was technology.
- 26:51Speaker 1: It is amazing to see how far behind we've been
- 26:53Speaker 1: on technology and how we didn't have the funding for
- 26:57Speaker 1: the technology that we knew we needed. That was done
- 27:00Speaker 1: on purpose by the prior administration, because if you don't
- 27:02Speaker 1: have the technology, then you're behind. The cartails are ahead,
- 27:05Speaker 1: the human traffickers are ahead, the people are ahead of you.
- 27:08Speaker 1: They held us back on purpose to again open the border.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yes, so we've been.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Playing catch up, and that's why this money was so
- 27:15Speaker 1: important this bill.
- 27:16Speaker 3: There's another strategic victory, which is every spending bill the
- 27:19Speaker 3: Democrats hold border spending and military spending hostage.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Yep.
- 27:23Speaker 3: What we've done is funded the things that are critical
- 27:25Speaker 3: to keeping this country safe, which means the Democrats can't
- 27:28Speaker 3: hold it hostage anymore. So it has there's a tactical
- 27:31Speaker 3: advantage going forward on the next budget battle because this
- 27:34Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty billion dollars we have appropriated it.
- 27:37Speaker 3: It is going out the door and there's not a
- 27:39Speaker 3: damn thing Chuck Schumer or AOC can do to stop it.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That is valuable on the psyche aspect of it, because
- 27:46Speaker 1: I do think this is one of the things that
- 27:48Speaker 1: is I'm witnessing a change our border patrol agents, whether
- 27:51Speaker 1: it's Department Home Security ICE. Yes, their mentality right now
- 27:55Speaker 1: has got to be on a high.
- 27:58Speaker 3: It is like a drowning man about to die given
- 28:02Speaker 3: a life preserver, lifted out, saved, they were able to
- 28:06Speaker 3: do their jobs. They're locked, they're fired up, they're ready
- 28:09Speaker 3: to go to war. The traffickers, they're stopping drug traffickers.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Every time I see a border patrol agents are an
- 28:14Speaker 3: ice agent. To be honest, half the time we just hug.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I mean the level of their just like, thank god,
- 28:20Speaker 3: we got your job. Victory number four repaying the States
- 28:25Speaker 3: for border security thirteen and a half billion dollars over
- 28:29Speaker 3: ten billion dollars going to Texas. Texas taxpayers spent over
- 28:32Speaker 3: ten billion dollars to secure the border because Joe Biden
- 28:35Speaker 3: and the Democrats refused to do so. I help lead
- 28:39Speaker 3: the charge to repay the States. That is in there.
- 28:42Speaker 3: That means Texas is getting over ten billion dollars paid back.
- 28:46Speaker 3: That's a huge victory. Victory number four. Victory number five
- 28:51Speaker 3: rebuilding the military over one hundred and fifty billion dollars
- 28:57Speaker 3: to support our soldiers, our sailors, our airmens, our marines,
- 29:01Speaker 3: to build new submarines, to build build new next generation
- 29:04Speaker 3: fighter jets, to improve our ability to stand up to China,
- 29:09Speaker 3: to stand up to our enemies to combat hypersonics, the
- 29:13Speaker 3: next generation of warfare. Look, with the military often you're
- 29:16Speaker 3: fighting the last war. We're going forward. We're going to
- 29:20Speaker 3: face ten thousand drone swarms using AI. Investing one hundred
- 29:26Speaker 3: and fifty billion dollars to make sure we can defend
- 29:29Speaker 3: this nation. There's no responsibility the federal government has that
- 29:33Speaker 3: is more important. And by the way, this is the money.
- 29:35Speaker 3: The Democrats always hold hostage, so we funded it. Right
- 29:39Speaker 3: now they can't. They can no longer touch this hostage
- 29:42Speaker 3: because this is done.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Huge victory number six. The Coastguard.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Now, this is something I'm particularly proud of because, as
- 29:51Speaker 3: you know, I'm the chairman of the Committee on Commerce, Science,
- 29:54Speaker 3: and Transportation. Yep, the Coastguard is in our jurisdiction. So
- 29:57Speaker 3: I wrote the Coastguard Provision twenty four billion dollars for
- 30:02Speaker 3: the Coast Guard. This is the single largest investment in
- 30:06Speaker 3: the Coast Guard in the history of the United States
- 30:08Speaker 3: of America. To give you a sense of the scope
- 30:11Speaker 3: of the order of magnitude, the annual budget of the
- 30:14Speaker 3: Coast Guard is about twelve million dollars. We are spending
- 30:18Speaker 3: about two hundred percent of the annual budget on the
- 30:22Speaker 3: Coast Guard in investments, and what are we doing. We're
- 30:25Speaker 3: buying new ships, We're buying new helicopters, We're buying new
- 30:28Speaker 3: physical infrastructure, and critically, we are investing in ice cutters,
- 30:32Speaker 3: in polar ice cutters and Arctic ice cutters. Right now,
- 30:36Speaker 3: China is kicking our ass in the Arctic, and the
- 30:39Speaker 3: Arctic is critical for national security. Any war ICBMs are
- 30:44Speaker 3: going to come over the Arctic. The Arctic is now
- 30:46Speaker 3: You've got the United States on the Arctic. You've got
- 30:48Speaker 3: China playing on the Arctic, You've got Russia playing on
- 30:51Speaker 3: the Arctic, and we are losing. This funding will enable
- 30:55Speaker 3: us not only to compete, to win. And by the way,
- 30:58Speaker 3: a huge theme of every everything I do in Congress
- 31:01Speaker 3: is beat China, Beat China, Beat China. This investment in
- 31:04Speaker 3: the Coastguard is to beat China and the Arctic. But
- 31:07Speaker 3: let me tell you a huge America first benefit for this,
- 31:10Speaker 3: which is shipbuilding in America has almost entirely disappeared.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's scary from national security symbol.
- 31:17Speaker 3: It is very scary. But this Coastguard bill will bring
- 31:21Speaker 3: ship building back to America. You look at Galveston, Texas.
- 31:25Speaker 3: There's a huge, multi billion dollar shipyard that is being
- 31:29Speaker 3: built and expanded right now to build these ice cutters.
- 31:32Speaker 3: And the problem previously is if you're a private company,
- 31:36Speaker 3: you couldn't make the multi billion dollar investment because you
- 31:39Speaker 3: didn't know where demand was going to come from. Because
- 31:42Speaker 3: we have twenty four billion dollars appropriated, there is a
- 31:45Speaker 3: multi year stream of buy orders coming from the Coastguard
- 31:49Speaker 3: for these ice cutters. That is going to bring back
- 31:52Speaker 3: thousands of jobs, good American jobs right here building ships
- 31:57Speaker 3: to keep America safe. That is in the bill out
- 31:59Speaker 3: Tik tell you when I was in the Hill Country,
- 32:01Speaker 3: when I was with the Coast guardsmen who were rescuing
- 32:04Speaker 3: Texans from the floods, every single coasting every one of them,
- 32:09Speaker 3: every man and woman, knew exactly about this investment in
- 32:14Speaker 3: the Coast Guard. They knew it was the biggest in history,
- 32:16Speaker 3: and every one of them said, thank you, this will
- 32:19Speaker 3: make a massive difference in our ability.
- 32:21Speaker 2: To do it.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I've got a good friend the Coast Guard, and he
- 32:23Speaker 1: said to me the other day about this. He said,
- 32:24Speaker 1: you know the Coast Guard, and he's been in for
- 32:26Speaker 1: twenty plus years. He said, we've always gotten the hand
- 32:29Speaker 1: me downs, we get the leftover equipment and the old equipment.
- 32:33Speaker 1: That's a lot of their equipment literally come from surplus
- 32:35Speaker 1: from military and other things. He said, this is the
- 32:38Speaker 1: first time that we are now like on the cutting
- 32:40Speaker 1: edge on our own because of what you just described.
- 32:44Speaker 1: He said, not only has morale gone through the roof,
- 32:46Speaker 1: we're no longer like the forgotten agency, like we're kind
- 32:48Speaker 1: of like, oh, the fifth wheel of military and government.
- 32:52Speaker 1: He's like, now we matter, and it matters for national security,
- 32:54Speaker 1: as he described it. And I think that's a great point.
- 32:56Speaker 3: That is absolutely right. And by the way, the Coast
- 32:58Speaker 3: Guard also does drug interdiction, it does border security. The
- 33:02Speaker 3: Coastguard is critical for securing our border. And so this
- 33:05Speaker 3: investment having those Coastguard cutters to stop drug traffickers, stop
- 33:09Speaker 3: human traffickers, and also to engage in search and rescue,
- 33:12Speaker 3: which is hugely important. That investment something I care deeply about.
- 33:17Speaker 3: And by the way, we're at number six. I told
- 33:21Speaker 3: you I'm going to give you twelve major conservative victories
- 33:25Speaker 3: in the one big beautiful Bill. We're at six. I
- 33:26Speaker 3: actually want listeners to pause for a second. How many
- 33:30Speaker 3: of you could list the first six before this podcast,
- 33:33Speaker 3: and I just want to make the point, what kind
- 33:36Speaker 3: of job does the corporate media do. I'm willing to
- 33:38Speaker 3: bet virtually none of our listeners could have listed those
- 33:41Speaker 3: first six because the news hasn't covered. And it's why
- 33:44Speaker 3: we do this podcast to give you information so that
- 33:48Speaker 3: when you're talking to your friends and your colleagues, you
- 33:51Speaker 3: will know what's being accomplished. There's a reason President Trump
- 33:54Speaker 3: is so excited about this one big, beautiful bill because
- 33:57Speaker 3: it is massive, massive.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Victories for a America.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Number seven, Number seven spectrum now spectrum. What is spectrum?
- 34:07Speaker 3: Electromagnetic spectrum. It is how we communicate. It's how our
- 34:10Speaker 3: cell phones work, it's how Wi Fi works, it's how
- 34:12Speaker 3: satellites work, it's how streaming works. It's all of electronics spectrum.
- 34:18Speaker 3: The largest holder of spectrum is the United States government.
- 34:21Speaker 3: The United States government has vast swaths of spectrum, and
- 34:24Speaker 3: under Joe Biden, the United States Government stop making new
- 34:29Speaker 3: spectrum available to the private sector. They ended auction authority.
- 34:32Speaker 3: It was grotesquely irresponsible. It did massive damage to America,
- 34:37Speaker 3: It destroyed jobs in America, and it let China get
- 34:40Speaker 3: ahead of America in this Bill. I wrote the legislation
- 34:46Speaker 3: that directs the federal government to auction to the private
- 34:49Speaker 3: sector eight hundred megahertz of spectrum for private sector investment.
- 34:54Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 34:56Speaker 3: Number One, that will generate in excess of one hundred
- 35:01Speaker 3: billion dollars of revenue to the federal government.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Wow.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Real money. Now, even in government terms, one hundred billion
- 35:09Speaker 3: dollars is real money. And listen, you and I are
- 35:11Speaker 3: deeply concerned about the deficit and the debt. The entire
- 35:15Speaker 3: commerce title that I wrote that had historic investments in
- 35:18Speaker 3: coast Guard and a bunch of other things, I ended
- 35:21Speaker 3: up saving over forty billion dollars, reducing the deficit and
- 35:25Speaker 3: the debt by over forty billion dollars. And the driver
- 35:28Speaker 3: was because of spectrum auction authority we brought in. We
- 35:32Speaker 3: will bring in one hundred billion dollars to pay down
- 35:34Speaker 3: the debt. Credible, that's real money. But it's not the
- 35:37Speaker 3: biggest piece of this. The biggest piece of this is
- 35:40Speaker 3: by auctioning the spectrum off, we will open up billions
- 35:45Speaker 3: and billions of dollars of private sector investment. The companies
- 35:48Speaker 3: that buy this spectrum are going to invest. It is
- 35:51Speaker 3: going to create hundreds of thousands of jobs. That is
- 35:55Speaker 3: not an exaggeration. Hundreds of thousands of jobs. And you
- 35:58Speaker 3: know what spectrum is all about, beating China to six G.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I mentioned my consistent theme, beat China, Beat China in
- 36:06Speaker 3: the Arctic with the Coastguard, beat China to six g
- 36:09Speaker 3: h with Spectrum. And I gotta tell you, three months ago,
- 36:14Speaker 3: there was nobody in Washington who thought we could get
- 36:18Speaker 3: this done. I sat in the office of the Speaker
- 36:20Speaker 3: of the House, Mike Johnson, a good friend of mine.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I said, Mike, We're gonna do Spectrum on the one big,
- 36:26Speaker 3: beautiful bill. And Mike laughed in my face. He's a
- 36:28Speaker 3: good friend. But yeah, there's no way, he said, there's
- 36:30Speaker 3: no chance because the Department of Defense and the CIA
- 36:35Speaker 3: will fight you. They will stop you. You cannot get
- 36:37Speaker 3: it done. We not only got it done when I
- 36:40Speaker 3: cut the deal and got it in the bill. President
- 36:42Speaker 3: Trump called me the next morning. He said, Ted, this
- 36:45Speaker 3: is incredible. This is like, how did you get such
- 36:49Speaker 3: an incredible deal? Historic spectrum auction authority producing hundreds of
- 36:56Speaker 3: thousands of jobs and beating China to six G that's
- 36:59Speaker 3: in the bill number eight air Traffic Control. This bill
- 37:05Speaker 3: invests twelve and a half billion dollars modernizing our air
- 37:08Speaker 3: traffic control. To keep your family safer when you fly,
- 37:12Speaker 3: to keep my family safer when we fly. To stop
- 37:15Speaker 3: using outdated radars, to stop using computers that have floppy discs,
- 37:19Speaker 3: and a little copper wire copper wire, to modernize our
- 37:22Speaker 3: air traffic control. A massive investment in keeping the American
- 37:26Speaker 3: public safe. This bill, I wrote that portion that is
- 37:29Speaker 3: also in the Commerce title. So I wrote that portion
- 37:32Speaker 3: that will fund and improve air traffic control. A huge
- 37:35Speaker 3: victory Number nine space YEP. This bill has ten billion
- 37:41Speaker 3: dollars for NASA to go to the Moon, for the
- 37:45Speaker 3: Artemis program, for the Gateway program, to beat China to
- 37:50Speaker 3: the moon. China has said they intend to return to
- 37:52Speaker 3: the Moon by twenty thirty. In my view, if we
- 37:56Speaker 3: lose the Moon to China, it would be a catastrophic loss.
- 38:00Speaker 3: It would be a loss if we woke up in
- 38:02Speaker 3: a few years and China was on the Moon and
- 38:04Speaker 3: China established a base on the Moon, which is what
- 38:06Speaker 3: they said they intend to do with the Russians, and.
- 38:09Speaker 4: They made that very clear. That is the sole intent
- 38:11Speaker 4: of going. It's not just to go to the moon.
- 38:12Speaker 4: It's to have a base on the Moon.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Yes, if they did that and we lost, I think
- 38:18Speaker 3: it would be worse than Sputnik that it would be
- 38:21Speaker 3: a national body blow that would crush this country. And look,
- 38:26Speaker 3: the Moon is critical number one for national security. The
- 38:29Speaker 3: Moon is the high ground you look at. So much
- 38:31Speaker 3: of our national security and so much of our commerce
- 38:33Speaker 3: depends on satellites in orbit around the Earth. The Moon
- 38:37Speaker 3: gives you the high ground. It is very dangerous for
- 38:40Speaker 3: us to see that to China. It is unacceptable for
- 38:43Speaker 3: us to see that to China. But number two, there
- 38:46Speaker 3: are massive rare minerals on the Moon. There are enormous
- 38:50Speaker 3: economic advantages. It is current US law that it is
- 38:54Speaker 3: the policy of the American government to have a sustained
- 38:57Speaker 3: human habitation either on the lunar surface or in cis
- 39:01Speaker 3: lunar orbit. This investment in beating China to the Moon.
- 39:05Speaker 3: And by the way, the Moon is a stepping stone
- 39:08Speaker 3: to Mars. We will go to Mars, but we haven't
- 39:11Speaker 3: landed on a celestial body in over fifty years. So
- 39:13Speaker 3: we're gonna land on the Moon first to make sure
- 39:15Speaker 3: we know how to do it, and then we're gonna
- 39:16Speaker 3: go to Mars, this investment. I wrote this investment in there,
- 39:21Speaker 3: I will say there was significant resistance, and without getting
- 39:26Speaker 3: too much into the sausage making, we won against the resistance.
- 39:31Speaker 3: This is in there. It is a massive investment. Well, yeah,
- 39:36Speaker 3: that is exactly right.
- 39:38Speaker 2: That's number nine. Number ten.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Cafe standards, the standards that mandate you keep having to
- 39:45Speaker 3: have higher and higher fuel efficiency on your cars. That's
- 39:48Speaker 3: what the Biden administration has used as its tool, as
- 39:52Speaker 3: one of its tools to wage the war on the
- 39:55Speaker 3: internal combustion engine, to try to force every car to
- 39:57Speaker 3: be electric. Is they keep jacking up cafe standards higher
- 40:00Speaker 3: and higher and hire. What does that mean? Number on,
- 40:03Speaker 3: It drives up the cost of your cars. You notice
- 40:05Speaker 3: cars have gotten a lot more expensive. Trucks have gotten
- 40:07Speaker 3: a lot more expensive. Number two, it makes cars less
- 40:09Speaker 3: safe because one of the ways you get the gas
- 40:11Speaker 3: efficiency hire is you replace metal with plastics. You che
- 40:16Speaker 3: cheap plastic that crumbles it in a crash and more
- 40:18Speaker 3: people die. In the commerce section of the one beful,
- 40:22Speaker 3: big beautiful bill, you know what we did to cafe standards?
- 40:25Speaker 4: What was that?
- 40:26Speaker 2: Zeroed them out? Really they're gone.
- 40:28Speaker 1: So it's actually in this so you're telling me that
- 40:31Speaker 1: my car, instead of being all plastic, we have a
- 40:33Speaker 1: little finder burt and everything breaks. They can actually go
- 40:35Speaker 1: back and say, hey, we're not trying to save weight here,
- 40:37Speaker 1: we're trying to actually make safe cars.
- 40:39Speaker 3: It can be a great American car again, made a
- 40:42Speaker 3: steel tough as hell. And by the way, you want
- 40:44Speaker 3: to buy electric car, great, that's your choice. You want
- 40:47Speaker 3: to hire a hybrid, great, you want to buy a
- 40:49Speaker 3: gas car.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Great.
- 40:50Speaker 3: It ought to be consumers choosing. And actually the way
- 40:52Speaker 3: we did this we very much modeled how in twenty
- 40:56Speaker 3: seventeen we repealed the individual mandate on Obamacare, So that
- 40:59Speaker 3: was fight I led in twenty seventeen. The individual mandate.
- 41:03Speaker 3: The way we eliminated it is under the rules of reconciliation,
- 41:09Speaker 3: we could not eliminate the legal mandate to buy health insurance,
- 41:14Speaker 3: which was the individual mandator under Obamacare. So you know
- 41:16Speaker 3: what we did. We made the penalty zero. So you
- 41:20Speaker 3: used to be the IRS finds you. If you didn't
- 41:22Speaker 3: buy health insurance, the IRS would find you. It is
- 41:24Speaker 3: still the law. You're required to buy health insuran. Don't,
- 41:28Speaker 3: you will be fined zero dollars and zero cents. We
- 41:30Speaker 3: did the same thing to Cafe standards, so they can
- 41:32Speaker 3: put their standards out, but the penalty for violating it
- 41:36Speaker 3: is zero. And I want to mention, look, this is
- 41:39Speaker 3: again like PBS and NPR, this has been a conservative
- 41:43Speaker 3: battle for fifty years.
- 41:46Speaker 4: And Democrats have been winning for fifty years, unfortunately.
- 41:49Speaker 3: And we got this done. I wrote this portion, it
- 41:51Speaker 3: is in the bill, it is zeroed out, and we
- 41:54Speaker 3: got this done. And I'm willing to bet fewer than
- 41:57Speaker 3: one percent of our listeners even knew we had done it,
- 42:01Speaker 3: because we won so many victories that this falls all
- 42:04Speaker 3: the way down to number ten on the list.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Incredible, well done.
- 42:08Speaker 3: The final two, yep, the final two, as you know,
- 42:10Speaker 3: are very near and dear to my heart. Number eleven
- 42:13Speaker 3: is school choice. In this bill, we pass the single
- 42:18Speaker 3: largest and most consequential federal school choice bill in the
- 42:22Speaker 3: history of our country. I wrote this provision. Every single
- 42:25Speaker 3: American taxpayer can now contribute up to seventeen hundred dollars
- 42:30Speaker 3: a year to a scholarship granting organization in the States
- 42:33Speaker 3: and get a dollar for dollar credit on their taxes.
- 42:37Speaker 3: It means the money is free. The effect of this
- 42:40Speaker 3: is going to be tens of billions of new scholarship
- 42:43Speaker 3: money in the States for school choice, for K through
- 42:48Speaker 3: twelve school choice. We're going to do a subsequent pod
- 42:51Speaker 3: that does a really deep die because this.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Is part of your legacy. By the way, this is
- 42:55Speaker 1: going to be part of your This.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Is the issue I care more about than anything else else.
- 43:00Speaker 3: I have spent thirty years fighting for it, and we're
- 43:02Speaker 3: gonna do another pod where we do a very deep
- 43:04Speaker 3: die because there's some aspects of this that I want
- 43:07Speaker 3: the listeners to appreciate that are both incredible policy victories
- 43:11Speaker 3: but also massive political victories. We are creating incentives to
- 43:15Speaker 3: turn blue states red, to build constituencies of parents and
- 43:20Speaker 3: kids who want fantastic educations. This is I told the President.
- 43:25Speaker 3: If and when we get this done, you will go
- 43:27Speaker 3: down in history as one of the greatest civil rights
- 43:29Speaker 3: presidents in our nation's history. Your critics will never acknowledge that.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah, but the reality will be you're going to change
- 43:35Speaker 1: poor communities.
- 43:36Speaker 3: The reality is the school choice provision is massive, and
- 43:40Speaker 3: it's in the bill. And then the final number twelve
- 43:43Speaker 3: are the Trump accounts, the invest America accounts. Again, I
- 43:46Speaker 3: wrote this provision.
- 43:47Speaker 4: This could fundamentally change this country bay the way.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Starting next year July fourth of next year, the two
- 43:53Speaker 3: hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the United States of America,
- 43:57Speaker 3: every child in America will have a personal and vement account.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Every newborn child will have it seated with one thousand dollars. Parents,
- 44:05Speaker 3: family employers can contribute up to five thousand dollars a
- 44:10Speaker 3: year in a tax advantage account. All of that money
- 44:13Speaker 3: is invested in the S and P. Five hundred is
- 44:15Speaker 3: invested in the stock market. That enables every kid to
- 44:18Speaker 3: enjoy the incredible benefits of compound growth, which will transform
- 44:24Speaker 3: our kids. The wealth creation for the next generation of
- 44:28Speaker 3: Americans will be utterly transformative. And not only that, this
- 44:32Speaker 3: creates a new generation of capitalists, as our kids will
- 44:35Speaker 3: all be owners of the largest employers in America. These
- 44:40Speaker 3: two victories school choice and personal investment accounts for kids
- 44:46Speaker 3: without exaggeration, Ben and I've told the President this. I
- 44:50Speaker 3: think ten years, twenty years, thirty years from now, these
- 44:54Speaker 3: will be the two things everyone remembers from this bill.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Everything else. I listed one through ten, which are massive,
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah that they are conservative victories for the generations. I
- 45:04Speaker 3: think eleven and twelve will dwarf one and ten because
- 45:08Speaker 3: the difference, we will see trillions of dollars invested in
- 45:12Speaker 3: four oh one case for kids in these Trump accounts.
- 45:15Speaker 3: That will change the future of every one of our
- 45:17Speaker 3: kids and make them all have skin in the game
- 45:20Speaker 3: in our capitalist society. And school choice is going to
- 45:23Speaker 3: literally provide hope and opportunity to millions of kids. We
- 45:27Speaker 3: got both of them done. Those are victories, generational victories,
- 45:32Speaker 3: and when the President signed it on July fourth, they
- 45:34Speaker 3: were victories for all of America.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I hope you share this one. This is one of
