- 0:01Hello everybody, welcome back to the Lila Rose podcast.
- 0:05We are live again on YouTube. I will be keeping an eye on the
- 0:08chat throughout the episode. Welcome back to the show.
- 0:12I have not done Alive Now and I think a week.
- 0:14And so there is a lot to cover. Kamala Harris is on a major
- 0:18press tour right now, showing up in every nook and cranny of
- 0:21major media outlets. Most of them, of course, already
- 0:24pretty left-leaning and progressive.
- 0:26So she's getting a very friendly audience there.
- 0:29But we're going to be unpacking some of her recent statements on
- 0:31some of these shows. She also broke some new ground
- 0:34by going on the pretty raunchy Call Her Daddy podcast, which
- 0:38Spotify bills is one of the top podcasts for women in the
- 0:40country. We're going to unpack some of
- 0:42what she said on that show and actually watch it together.
- 0:45She also went on 60 Minutes among other shows, and we're
- 0:48going to look at some of the comments that she made on 60
- 0:51Minutes. There's also more to unpack to
- 0:53with a big revelation coming out about Melania Trump last week.
- 0:57So we're going to talk about that.
- 0:58Unfortunately, Melania Trump is coming out strongly for abortion
- 1:02and she's had some very unfortunate things to say.
- 1:04We're going to unpack it. She has a new book out.
- 1:06It's part of her book tour. And then of course, the
- 1:09Hurricanes right now is really savaging the coast of Florida.
- 1:13We're going to share some stories that are coming out and
- 1:15emerging from Florida. Some of them are just
- 1:18heartbreaking. Some of them are inspiring.
- 1:19I think it's important for us to be tracking and of course, our
- 1:22prayers and our hearts are with our friends and our fellow
- 1:25Americans in the great state of Florida.
- 1:27We're praying for you. But lots to unpack today.
- 1:30Of course, as you know, on this show, we wrestle a lot with
- 1:32politics. We talk about politics, but
- 1:34mostly we're focused on culture, how to live up to your full
- 1:38God-given potential. So we talked to medical experts,
- 1:41health experts, spiritual guides, people with amazing
- 1:44stories and testimonies and expertise so that we can live up
- 1:46to our our God-given potential together.
- 1:48Part of living up to our God-given potential is being
- 1:51aware and informed of what is happening in our Great Society,
- 1:55in politics and in culture. And so we do some of these deep
- 1:58dives on political issues and current events.
- 2:01So that's what we're doing today on today's YouTube Live.
- 2:03I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for joining.
- 2:05Also, if you are listening right now on podcast app after the
- 2:08fact, please do not forget to be subscribed to the show and leave

- 2:25you like the show, if you leave us a review, give us five stars
- 2:28that helps the show reach more people.
- 2:29So all right, without for further ado, I'm going to jump
- 2:33right into the first story of the day.
- 2:34First, I'm going to just take a look at the chat.
- 2:36Hey, Brooke, she says here and ready to go.
- 2:38Thanks so much for being on with us, Audrey.
- 2:41Hello, thanks for joining the show here.
- 2:44Paige says happy anniversary listening with my one year old.
- 2:47Thanks so much Paige. My husband and I just celebrated
- 2:506 years of marriage just a couple days ago and we have, as
- 2:55you guys know, 3 little ones, Earth side one in heaven.
- 2:59And it has been the most formative and beautiful and
- 3:02blessed six years of my life to be able to have my own family.
- 3:05I thank God every day for that. And that's part of the
- 3:08inspiration for this show is having a family and seeing the
- 3:11power of what we can do when we seek out growing in virtue, seek
- 3:16out living our God-given potential and become more aware
- 3:19of what's happening in news and in politics so we can be more of
- 3:22a force for good in the world. So thank you guys so much for
- 3:25listening and thank you for the sweet anniversary.
- 3:28Congratulations there. OK, so now we're going to jump
- 3:30right in. We're going to actually pull up
- 3:31this clip from the Call Her Daddy podcast, which is hosted
- 3:34by Alex Cooper. This is a very left wing show
- 3:37and it's no surprise that Kamala Harris went on the show.
- 3:39My understanding is they also invited former President Trump
- 3:42to the show. I don't think he has agreed to
- 3:43do it, but they had Kamala Harris on.
- 3:46They're very aligned politically.
- 3:47From what I see of Alex Cooper as well as Kamala Harris, she's
- 3:51very pro abortion. She's very progressive.
- 3:54She's very, you know, against natural marriage, all of these
- 3:56things. So she is in line culturally and
- 3:58socially with the platform of Kamala Harris.
- 4:00So you kind of already knew going into this, said this was
- 4:02going to be a softball interview for Kamala Harris.
- 4:05This might have been why Kamala Harris was so eager to go on.
- 4:08My understanding is that Dave Ramsey as an example of the
- 4:12Ramsey Institute, his business, he actually had on President
- 4:15Trump recently on his show, he was announcing on social media
- 4:18that he had invited Kamala Harris on to talk about the
- 4:21economy and she has not responded and not agreed to come
- 4:25on the show. So just just a bit of a contrast
- 4:27here. President Trump going on Dave
- 4:29Ramsey to talk about the economy, not a space that Kamala
- 4:31Harris wanted to go into. And here she is going into a
- 4:34space that maybe Trump doesn't want to go into, which is Alex
- 4:37Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast to talk about basically abortion
- 4:41and sex and talk about some of the things that Kamala Harris
- 4:44supports that are against family values.
- 4:47So we're going to go into that right now and look at the
- 4:49conversation that they had. This is a 5 minute clip.
- 4:51It's a bit long, but I think it's important that we watch it.
- 4:54I'm also sparing you so you don't have to watch the whole
- 4:56show yourself. The podcast went on, I think it
- 4:58was almost an hour, but this is the clip where they got into it
- 5:01on the issue, which is really the main issue that Kamala
- 5:05Harris is running on right now, which is abortion.
- 5:07Let's take a look. I understand that a lot of the
- 5:10younger generation sees things online and it's like what is
- 5:13right, what is wrong, what is real, what is not.
- 5:16Can you explain and talk about what is actually happening to
- 5:21abortion access right now in this country?
- 5:24So again, I thank you for what you've been doing.
- 5:27This pause really quick. I have to I have to just note
- 5:29before we hear Kamala Harris answer it just important to note
- 5:33here the way the question was asked.
- 5:34Of course, this is a very hard left pro abortion podcast.
- 5:37Alex Cooper actually went out and tried to promote abortion
- 5:41after Roe V Wade fell with the Dobs V Dobs V Jackson decision.
- 5:45She was part of that whole group rallying support for the
- 5:48abortion cause. And she's framing the whole
- 5:50question about abortion with Kamala Harris here in terms of
- 5:54quote UN quote abortion access, right?
- 5:56Which sounds like something that everyone should have.
- 5:59You know, she's not qualifying or defining the term abortion.
- 6:01What abortion access means already The the premise here in
- 6:06Alex Cooper's question is that abortion is a good thing and
- 6:09that women should have this abortion access.
- 6:12She, of course, is not talking about how abortion kills a baby,
- 6:14what abortion actually is and what it does.
- 6:17It's all already. The context here is that
- 6:18abortion is good and women need it.
- 6:20So let's see what Kamala says. So, you know, on public policy,
- 6:24I often tell my team, look, I don't want to hear about public
- 6:28policy is a fancy kind of speech or paper.
- 6:34Tell me how it'll affect a real person.
- 6:35So let's talk about how it affects a real person.
- 6:38The majority of women who receive abortion care are
- 6:40mothers. So here, this is the comment
- 6:44from the first kind of out of the gate comment from Kamala
- 6:48Harris, as the majority of people who receive abortion care
- 6:51are mothers. So she's doing two things here.
- 6:53First of all, again, it's the euphemisms.
- 6:55They talked about abortion access.
- 6:56Now they're talking. She's taking it one step
- 6:57further. It's called abortion care, OK?
- 6:59No one is being cared for with an abortion.
- 7:02A baby is being killed and a woman is often left with
- 7:06physical and certainly emotional and psychological scars.
- 7:08For many women after an abortion, killing a baby is not
- 7:11healthcare. It never has been.
- 7:12It never will be. This is why there are thousands
- 7:15of pro-life obstetricians, gynecologists who rallied
- 7:18together to start a pro-life Medical Association because our
- 7:22Medical Association dedicated to mothers and to women, ACOG, was
- 7:26hijacked by abortion activists back in the 80s.
- 7:29So we already have a problem in this country where abortion has
- 7:33become synonymous. Some people try to make it
- 7:35synonymous with women's healthcare when it is never
- 7:38caring to kill a baby. So this is the first misleading
- 7:42comment that Kamala Harris is making.
- 7:43It's not a surprise. Everybody knows she's a hardcore
- 7:46pro abort. But next she's going to go into
- 7:48the sob story where she's talking about a woman who's a
- 7:51mother not just of her unborn baby, but a mother of a born
- 7:54child as well, and talk about how devastating, in her words,
- 7:58abortion that bans are. And This is why that pay close
- 8:02attention to what she's saying here and her reason for why it
- 8:06is bad that a state like Texas, as an example, would ban
- 8:11abortion. This is her reason.
- 8:13Imagine she's in a state with an abortion ban.
- 8:15One out of three women are, by the way, in our country, and
- 8:18she's a mom, so she's going to have to figure out one.
- 8:24God help her if she has affordable childcare, God help
- 8:28her if she has paid leave. And then she's going to have to
- 8:33go to the airport, stand in a TSA line.
- 8:38I have the pods here. This is what Kamala Harris is
- 8:41running on, that you need an abortion so badly that if you
- 8:47have to stand in TSA before you can get an abortion, this is the
- 8:49crime of all crimes, and therefore we should vote in
- 8:52Kamala Harris for president. This is what she's running on,
- 8:55that killing a baby is so good and so wonderful that if you
- 8:59even have to stand in a line like in the TSA or if you have
- 9:02to get on a bus to go get an abortion, how dare you.
- 9:04Your abortion should literally be handed to you on a silver
- 9:06platter so you can kill your baby on a silver platter because
- 9:09otherwise it's an injustice against you.
- 9:11Is this? Is this?
- 9:12Is this really what Kamala Harris is running on?
- 9:14It is what she's running on. And it's absolutely horrible
- 9:19because you're not only completely depriving that child
- 9:22of their rights here. There's no empathy, there's no
- 9:24compassion. There's no regard for the child.
- 9:27The child's not even mentioned, but she's inventing this Horror
- 9:31Story, which isn't even when you look at it, it's actually not a
- 9:34Horror Story, but she's inventing this narrative that
- 9:37these women are suffering so much because they have to go and
- 9:41get their abortion in another state.
- 9:43And therefore we need abortion on demand in every state.
- 9:46Therefore, Texas and no state should be allowed to protect
- 9:49human life. We have reduced women in a
- 9:53conversation about women and public policy that's good for
- 9:57families down to how easy can we make it for you to kill your
- 10:01unborn baby? That's what this is about.
- 10:04How devastating that this is what the political discourse is
- 10:08about. How easy can we make it for you
- 10:10to kill your baby? Instead of a conversation about
- 10:12how can we help you have a thriving family?
- 10:16How can we help you with the most important part of the whole
- 10:19American Civil project, which is protecting the future for our
- 10:22children? What's the point of a democracy
- 10:24if there's no children to be able to enjoy it in the future?
- 10:27What's the point of a nation if we don't have a future because
- 10:29we're killing our kids, if we're because we're killing children?
- 10:32And here she is also using this fig leaf about caring about
- 10:35women and and mothers because she says, oh, these women, many
- 10:38of them already have children. But she's so happy.
- 10:41Kamala Harris is so happy to make it as, as, as not just as
- 10:45easy as possible, but to make it as popular as possible for
- 10:50killing your baby, killing your child's sibling, if you're a
- 10:53mother already to be the way to go.
- 10:55So I, I find the whole thing, when you peel away, obviously
- 10:58the euphemisms, when you peel away the rhetoric and you look
- 11:01at what she's actually saying, that it is not easy enough for
- 11:04enough American women who already have children to go and
- 11:07kill the sibling of their child. But that's what she's running
- 11:09on. If people just looked at this
- 11:12for what it is, instead of the false euphemisms and fear
- 11:15mongering that Alex Cooper and Kamala Harris and others are
- 11:18pushing in media, I think many more people would say this is
- 11:22absolutely ridiculous. How can we ever stand for this
- 11:25but as long as the media? Again, Alex Cooper is a highly
- 11:28influential podcast host among a group of a particular group of
- 11:32women. If this is what women hear, oh,
- 11:34we need abortion, abortion's good, access is good.
- 11:37Oh, we have to go, go, go through TSA to get this
- 11:39healthcare. Oh, we have to get on a bus and
- 11:41an extra bus to get healthcare. You can understand why the
- 11:45narrative might be meaningful, might be persuasive for some
- 11:48people, but it is easy to shatter the narrative when you
- 11:52point to what is actually being talking talked about, which is
- 11:55killing a baby and making it easy and accessible and paid for
- 11:59and even popular. For a mother of a child to go
- 12:02and kill the sibling of her own child.
- 12:05This is this is not healthcare. This is not in any way a a
- 12:11positive vision for the future for anyone.
- 12:13This is the culture of death at work using these very, very fig
- 12:19leaf euphemisms to cover for what they're doing.
- 12:21Let's keep listening. A perfect stranger to go to a
- 12:25city where she's never been to receive the care she needs.
- 12:31She's going to probably have to get right back on that plane
- 12:34because she's got those kids. Her best friend's probably not
- 12:37with her because that's who's taking care of the kids.
- 12:40It's Kamala Harris's point here. Wish you didn't have any kids.
- 12:43Better to not have any kids because if you got a, if you get
- 12:45pregnant and you have an abortion and you already have a
- 12:48kid, then you have to deal with child care for.
- 12:51I mean, the whole narrative here is absurd.
- 12:54It is absurd. How easy can we make it for you
- 12:57to kill your baby? How easy can we make it for you
- 12:59to kill the sibling of your baby?
- 13:01And the, and the, and the, the premise here that women should
- 13:04just want to kill their babies. That's the really insidious
- 13:06thing here. The premise is women should just
- 13:09want to kill their babies. Of course you're going to want
- 13:11to abort the sibling of your child.
- 13:12Of course you're going to want to go get an abortion.
- 13:14It is a no brainer. And this is, of course, the
- 13:17language of Alex Cooper in the way she asks these questions.
- 13:20Keep in mind this is a they call it sex positive.
- 13:23It's not actually sex positive podcast.
- 13:25It's a sex negative podcast. Alex Cooper's promoting hookup
- 13:28culture, sexual libertinism on her show, the consequence of
- 13:34acting like sex has no value and sex is not sacred is that you
- 13:39end up with unexpected and unplanned pregnancies.
- 13:41And when you end up with unplanned pregnancies because
- 13:43you built a culture of sexual chaos, then you end up with
- 13:47wanting abortions. And that's the ecosystem that
- 13:50Alex Cooper is living in. That's the ecosystem that she's
- 13:52promoting on her podcast. So it makes, it makes sense in
- 13:56one sense that she has Kamala Harrison talk about why isn't it
- 13:59easier to kill your baby? But that's because the whole
- 14:02world view is so dark and it's so anti child and anti love.
- 14:07Let's keep listening. Fine to get back on a plane to
- 14:11go home. And that's all.
- 14:14If they can even afford the plane exactly.
- 14:17Or the bus. Exactly.
- 14:20Exactly. Because when Roe V Wade was
- 14:22overturned, I remember my DMS were flooded with thousands of
- 14:27women begging me to help. And it's overwhelming.
- 14:31And I can't even imagine I'm saying that in front of you, but
- 14:34it's, it's overwhelming. And I remember that's Alex
- 14:36Cooper's. I mean, that's so tragic, right?
- 14:39That's Alex Cooper's audience. Alex Cooper's audience, because
- 14:43they're living the lifestyle that she's promoting.
- 14:46And it's, it's kind of ironic because Alex Cooper just got
- 14:48married recently. She's apparently living and
- 14:50promoting monogamy in her own life.
- 14:52But on her show, she is living and promoting sexual hookups,
- 14:58chaos, libertinism. That's the name of the game for
- 15:01caller daddy. And so for her to say, well, my,
- 15:03my fan base was so upset when Roe fell because they're
- 15:05wondering, what are we going to do?
- 15:06Where are we going to get our abortions now?
- 15:09It goes to show the whole ecosystem again, that she is
- 15:13spearheading. And it also should be very
- 15:16concerning, as it should. It should tell us something that
- 15:19the vice president of the United States is coming onto this show,
- 15:23running to be president. And this is the kind of, I
- 15:27guess, voter base that she's counting on right now.
- 15:30I am encouraged to say that there are millions of voters and
- 15:33Americans and women, particularly pro-life women, who
- 15:36find this whole view of the woman and the view of sexuality
- 15:40as absolutely horrible and, and, and against our dignity.
- 15:43But here, obviously, Kamala Harris is pandering to this
- 15:46group, to the to the listener, a base of this podcast.
- 15:51I just need to afford a bus ticket so I can get out of this
- 15:53abortion desert that I live in in the South so I can get to a
- 15:56state. But they can't even, you know
- 15:59what I mean? So it's like these people are
- 16:01literally landlocked into a position that they don't want to
- 16:05be. And and here's the thing.
- 16:07Here's The thing is that you don't have to abandon your faith
- 16:12or deeply held beliefs to agree the government shouldn't be
- 16:15telling her what to do. If she chooses, she'll talk to
- 16:18her priest, her pastor, her rabbi, her imam, but not the
- 16:21government telling you what to do.
- 16:23And that's what's so outrageous about it, is a bunch of these
- 16:27guys up in the state capitals are writing these decisions
- 16:32because they somehow have decided that they're in a better
- 16:36position to tell you what's in your best interest than you are
- 16:38to know what's in your. Own best interest I I, you've
- 16:41heard me saying this, say this on the show before, guys, but
- 16:43every single law, virtually every single law that exists in
- 16:47this country tells us what we can and cannot do with our body.
- 16:51Whether you're getting in your car and it tells you how fast
- 16:53you can drive that car, you're walking into a store and it's
- 16:56telling you no, you cannot put out your hand and grab something
- 16:59off of the shelf and just walk out of the store with it.
- 17:02Whether it's telling you that no, you cannot walk up to
- 17:04someone and slap them in the face.
- 17:05You cannot use your body to do that.
- 17:07There are endless laws. There are many laws in this
- 17:09country that tell us what you can or cannot do with your body.
- 17:12That is the whole project of how we live together in civil
- 17:14society. And the idea that telling a
- 17:19parent, whether it's the mother or the father, that no, they
- 17:22don't have the right to kill their child, that that somehow
- 17:24government imposing into the personal lives of people is, it
- 17:27is ridiculous. Of course there is no right to
- 17:30kill a child. Of course there's no right to
- 17:32kill your child. Your child's not property,
- 17:34whether they're born or pre born, but that child does have a
- 17:37right to exist and a right to life.
- 17:39And that's where the government actually has a responsibility.
- 17:42If someone's trying to kill you, the government has a
- 17:44responsibility to have some level of of mechanism, some
- 17:48mechanism of protection so that there's just not lawlessness and
- 17:53bloodletting on the streets. And that's why we have
- 17:55historically had it illegal for a anybody, whether it's a doctor
- 18:00or a back alley abortionist who is just operating as an
- 18:04abortionist. It's been illegal for anyone to
- 18:07kill a preborn child. That was before in many, for
- 18:11many, many years in many in most states before Roe V Wade.
- 18:14Now, after Roe V. Wade has fallen.
- 18:16It's now illegal again, as it should be for you to kill your
- 18:19child. You it, it should.
- 18:21That should be illegal. Some things should be illegal
- 18:24because they are wrong and they violate the human rights of
- 18:27human beings. And of course, other things,
- 18:29many things should be legal. But this whole conversation that
- 18:33they're having that the government's getting involved,
- 18:36when really what Kamala Harris wants is for the government to
- 18:39get involved. She does want the government
- 18:40involved, but she wants the government to pay using your
- 18:44taxpayer dollars for other people's killing of their
- 18:47children. That is how she wants the
- 18:49government to be involved. So she this whole thing about we
- 18:52don't want the government involved is actually a lie.
- 18:53She very much wants the government involved, but she
- 18:56wants the government involved to force taxpayers to pay for
- 18:59abortions. That is the government platform,
- 19:01the like a Democrat platform right now.
- 19:03And there is no right to kill a child.
- 19:06There's no right. I have no right to use my body
- 19:08to kill a child. No one has that right.
- 19:09That is the fact. And certainly the government
- 19:11should not be forcing anybody to pay for anyone else's killing.
- 19:16That should also never be acceptable.
- 19:19So on both counts, it just shows how far down this into the
- 19:25insane world the Democrat platform has has become has
- 19:28gotten and Kamala Harris pushing it here on on the podcast.
- 19:31Let's keep listening. It's outrageous.
- 19:33It's outrageous. I mean, daddy getting to put it
- 19:35in our TikTok terms. I have seen girls on the street
- 19:40walk up to men and be like, do you know where a tampon goes?
- 19:44Do you know how many tampons we use?
- 19:46Do you even know how? Like do you know what AX or Y or
- 19:51Z is of a part of our and they don't know the answer?
- 19:53I was the 1st Vice President or President to ever in office go
- 20:00to a reproductive healthcare clinic.
- 20:03Ever. Really.
- 20:04That was an abortion clinic. Yes, yes.
- 20:07I didn't know that, but I guess that makes sense.
- 20:09To your point. And yet the matter make a
- 20:12decision. She got a pause here.
- 20:13She didn't. Kamala Harris did not go to a
- 20:15reproductive health clinic to set the record straight.
- 20:18A reproductive health clinic would be a place that helps
- 20:20parents or helps people achieve healthy reproductive system so
- 20:24that they can work as they're intended and they can maybe
- 20:27achieve pregnancy. So maybe fertility and natural
- 20:30fertility practitioner doing restorative medicine?
- 20:34Yes, you can call yourself a reproductive health facility.
- 20:37Yes, you may. If you kill babies, that is not
- 20:40reproductive health. That's reproductive destruction.
- 20:43That's the killing of a baby. That's not planning parenthood.
- 20:46That's destroying parenthood. And what Kamala Harris did is
- 20:50she toured a Planned Parenthood. She was the 1st vice president
- 20:53to tour a Planned Parenthood where they kill babies.
- 20:56And this was a publicity stunt for her.
- 20:58And here's and here's the other thing about this point that it's
- 21:02about IVF treatments and access. So access to contraception,
- 21:06which is very much at risk with these folks.
- 21:10It is about back to the point about reproductive health
- 21:12clinics. You know what those clinics also
- 21:14do? They do paps, they do breast
- 21:17cancer screenings, they do HIV testing and they're having to
- 21:22close in many places with these bands.
- 21:25So think about the fact that for any.
- 21:27Spots that one? More time.
- 21:29There's not a single band that. That prevents abortion ban, that
- 21:34prevents pap tests or STI screenings or providing, you
- 21:41know, breast exams. Nothing, not none of that.
- 21:44This is a, this is a deception, a point of deception that she's
- 21:47making here. None of that is prevented by a
- 21:49pro-life law. What she's actually talking
- 21:51about is Planned Parenthood's, some of them have shut down in
- 21:54pro-life states because they just want to do abortions and
- 21:57they don't want to do the things that are still legal.
- 21:59They want to just do abortions. So they're going to, because
- 22:02Planned Parenthood, so pro abortion, they're going to shut
- 22:04down their center and not do STI tests and not do Paps and not do
- 22:10breast screen breast cancer screenings.
- 22:12They're going to shut down their clinic and not do the stuff that
- 22:14is good and legal because they want so badly to do abortions.
- 22:17What does that say about Planned Parenthood?
- 22:19It says that Planned Parenthood is first and foremost an
- 22:22abortion corporation. So in Kamala Harris's own
- 22:25statement here, she's actually alluding to the fact that they
- 22:29don't care about those other services.
- 22:32They just care about abortion. And they were literally shut
- 22:34down their operation if they can't kill babies.
- 22:36Let's go to this last clip this this conversation goes on.
- 22:39There's one last clip I want to share with you from the Alex
- 22:42Cooper interview that Kamala Harris did.
- 22:45And it's where Alex Cooper asks a question of Kamala Harris.
- 22:49And it's kind of like this meant to be this gotcha of the pro
- 22:53lifers, the way that she phrases her question.
- 22:56So I do want to watch this clip. This clip was going viral in the
- 22:58last few days, and it shows again the mentality that Alice
- 23:04Cooper has. Let's take a look.
- 23:05I want to pose this question more to you and the daddy gang,
- 23:08but one of the biggest conversations in this year's
- 23:11election revolves around a woman's body.
- 23:14Yep. I want to take a moment and can
- 23:17we try to think of any law that gives the government the power
- 23:24to make a decision? I know what you're going to ask.
- 23:28About a man's body? No, no.
- 23:34Is there any law? OK, I've got one.
- 23:37And there were a bunch of viral tweets about this, the draft,
- 23:41the draft. And then like I said earlier,
- 23:44the draft. Obviously, if you are drafted,
- 23:46if your number is selected, if there's a war going on, the
- 23:49government absolutely makes a decision for and about your
- 23:52body, putting you in potentially a place of conflict where your
- 23:55life may be at risk for the sake of your country and you could
- 23:58die. But that's obviously an extreme
- 24:00example, but a real one. But like I said earlier, in
- 24:02every single day that we live in this society, there are laws
- 24:06that control what we can and cannot do with our body.
- 24:09This is common sense. If you look past the flamingly
- 24:13false rhetoric here and you look at just how we operate, whether
- 24:17you get in your car, whether you walk into a store, whether you
- 24:21interact with another human being, whether you can walk onto
- 24:25someones front lawn and they say get off my lawn and you might be
- 24:28trespassing if you stay on their lawn, that is you being
- 24:32controlled by the government using their language, what by
- 24:36for what you can or cannot do with your body.
- 24:39So similarly, again, we've said this on the show so many times.
- 24:42I know you guys get this, but I think it is so important for us
- 24:45to speak this truth into and inject it again and again into
- 24:49the public discourse. There is no right to use our
- 24:51body. And certainly a doctor, an
- 24:54abortionist has no right to use their body to kill somebody
- 24:57else's body. And when you're pregnant, there
- 24:59are two bodies, sometimes more if you have twins or triplets or
- 25:03whatever it may be. And that other body has a right
- 25:06to live. They have a right to exist.
- 25:08They have a right to not be killed.
- 25:10And that person's body has the right to not be killed.
- 25:14Oversee it supersedes the right of the parent to not be
- 25:17inconvenienced or the right of the parent or the mother to not.
- 25:22You know, maybe they don't want the baby for whatever reason or
- 25:25they have whatever issues that they're working through.
- 25:28No, no issues, no, no struggles, nothing that you may go be going
- 25:33through as a parent as an as an adult, whoever you are gives you
- 25:37the right to kill your child that that right does not exist.
- 25:39It's been invented, but that child does have a right to
- 25:42exist. So we're going to move on next
- 25:44to the bombshell comments coming from Melania Trump next week.
- 25:48But all, all at all, actually, before we do that, we got to go
- 25:50to 60 Minutes. There's one more clip we got to
- 25:51watch. Again, Kamala Harris has been
- 25:53very busy recently on the roads. There's a lot to catch up.
- 25:55And let's go to the 60 minutes clip because this is yet
- 25:57another. You know, this is a little bit
- 26:00of a different angle here. So Kamala Harris has been
- 26:02talking about abortion widely, spreading these euphemisms,
- 26:05these false narratives. We've already been debunking
- 26:07that she does something different on 60 Minutes.
- 26:09In one of the questions that she was asked, she has been asked
- 26:12several times, how are you different than Biden?
- 26:14Because she's his vice president.
- 26:16And meaningfully, there's been no public policy departure from
- 26:19Biden's positions and to hers, that she's not different than
- 26:22Biden on public policy. She has the same policies, but
- 26:26she has done some things that look different than what she's
- 26:28done historically. As an example, going to the
- 26:31southern border and maybe indicating when it comes to
- 26:35immigration that she would be more moderate on a board on
- 26:38immigration than she has been in the last four years as VP.
- 26:42This is, of course, important because there is a crisis,
- 26:45ongoing crisis at the southern border with 10s of thousands,
- 26:49hundreds of thousands, even millions over all of migrants
- 26:52coming into the United States. The border is very porous.
- 26:55I think in the last reported year, it's over 100,000
- 26:58unaccompanied minors came across the border.
- 27:01Unaccompanied minors, some of them may be the victims of sex
- 27:05trafficking or other forms of trafficking.
- 27:07This is a humanitarian crisis as much as it is a problem of
- 27:11potential national security. And so all of this is happening
- 27:15commonly. Harris knows it's a big issue.
- 27:17She knows a lot of people are concerned about it.
- 27:19Former President Trump is differentiating himself from
- 27:22Biden's policies by saying he would strengthen the southern
- 27:25border and by claiming that he would do much more than the
- 27:28Democrats have done on it. Many people might know this
- 27:31already, but what happened when Biden first entered office, took
- 27:35office, he rescinded a lot of executive orders that Trump had
- 27:38had in place on the southern border.
- 27:41But here's a comment from Kamala Harris about her approach and
- 27:45why she seems to be, at least to some reports and by some
- 27:49reports, seems to be moderating the fairly left wing position
- 27:55that Biden has taken on the border.
- 27:57Which is to ultimately let the border be chorus and allow a lot
- 28:02of people in, including asylees. And then let them stay while
- 28:05they're waiting for their hearing in to determine if they
- 28:08should have the status of an asylum seeker of an asylee, not
- 28:12just an asylee seeker. So let's listen to what Kamala
- 28:15Harris is saying here. Tell you what your critics and
- 28:18the columnist say. OK.
- 28:20They say the reason so many voters don't know you is that
- 28:24you have changed your position on so many things.
- 28:28You were against fracking, now you're for it.
- 28:31You supported looser immigration policies, now you're tightening
- 28:35them up. You're for Medicare for all.
- 28:38Now you're not so many that people don't truly know what you
- 28:43believe or what you stand for. And I know you've heard that.
- 28:47In the last four years, I have been Vice President of the
- 28:50United States and I have been travelling our country and I
- 28:53have been listening to folks and seeking what is possible in
- 28:58terms of common ground. I believe in building consensus.
- 29:02We are a diverse people geographically, regionally, in
- 29:05terms of where we are in our backgrounds.
- 29:08And what the American people do want is that we have leaders who
- 29:13can build consensus where we can figure out compromise and
- 29:17understand it's not a bad thing as long as you don't compromise
- 29:20your values, find common sense solutions.
- 29:24And that has been my approach. All right, so here you're seeing
- 29:29you're hearing Kamala Harris say on 60 Minutes that she has been
- 29:33travelling the country and hearing different people's views
- 29:35and that's why she's effectively been shifting some of her
- 29:37positions. This actually could
- 29:40theoretically be a good thing if it was true and if it was true
- 29:44on what mattered the most. And so here she's saying, you
- 29:47know, I've been vice president for Biden.
- 29:49And so she's implying he's very lefty.
- 29:50And so somehow maybe I'm not as lefty.
- 29:52I don't know. That maybe is the implication
- 29:54here. But if, if it were the case that
- 29:57Kamala Harris wanted to win, this is my opinion.
- 30:00If it were the case that Kamala Harris wanted to win this
- 30:01election, and she would, in order to do that, she needs to
- 30:05moderate because she is so left wing on so many of these issues.
- 30:09On abortion, she has not moderated one iota.
- 30:12This is not something she's done on abortion.
- 30:14She has doubled down and tripled down on abortion to the point
- 30:17where she supports, as you know, we share on the podcast
- 30:20regularly, abortion through all nine months without any
- 30:22exception for any reason tax funded.
- 30:26So it is ironic here that calmly Harris is saying that she is
- 30:29maybe going to moderate on some of these other issues, but on
- 30:32the issue that the majority of Americans actually disagree with
- 30:35her on, the majority of Americans want some abortion
- 30:38restrictions. The polling shows us whether
- 30:40it's Gallup or Pew, it shows that the majority of Americans
- 30:43support some abortion restrictions at minimum in the
- 30:46last trimester and some of them in the second.
- 30:48And of course, many Americans even want them in the first.
- 30:50But Kamala Harris, not so much. She wants no abortion
- 30:53restrictions. She is not monitoring on
- 30:55abortion. And I look at President Trump
- 30:57and what former President Trump and his campaign and, you know,
- 31:01she's doubled down. She's got her base.
- 31:03She's got the Alex Cooper call her daddy fanbase lockstep.
- 31:07She's got him down. And I want to go to the next
- 31:09story here, which is that there is some reports out about the
- 31:12number of Christians who may not be voting in this election.
- 31:15And I think Kamala Harris in many ways is playing her cards
- 31:19to appeal to her hardcore pro abortion, anti natural family,
- 31:25anti marriage base. And the question is, is former
- 31:30President Trump willing to do the same for his former base, A
- 31:34base he's had in the past, which is many hardcore pro-life
- 31:37Catholics, evangelicals and others.

- 33:23Thank you 7 weeks coffee. You guys know I love seven weeks
- 33:25coffee on the show. So thank you for supporting
- 33:27them. We were just talking about
- 33:29Christians who are they're the number of Christians who there
- 33:32are surveys running now that are saying that they're not voting
- 33:34this election. For clarity here, this is not
- 33:37necessarily that they didn't vote.
- 33:38They voted the last election. Now they're not voting this one.
- 33:41It's just the fact that there is a thing called voter turn out
- 33:44and in every election that we have, presidential election that
- 33:47we have, there is a significant portion of Americans who do not
- 33:50vote and many of them are Christians.
- 33:52And so this is an opportunity. There's some headlines happening
- 33:55right now that have been run recently about the survey that
- 33:59came out that said that there are 100 million people that
- 34:02could identify as Christian that may not vote this election.
- 34:05This is pretty typical by the way, most elections.
- 34:07Again, there are many, many people who do not vote.
- 34:10So this number of 100 million sounds like a lot, but the
- 34:13reality is when elections happen, the amount of Americans
- 34:16voting compared to those that could, there's a big departure.
- 34:18You're talking about millions, 10s of millions of people who
- 34:20are not voting that could. And so this is an opportunity.
- 34:24And I've been saying this a lot on the podcast.
- 34:26There is an opportunity here that I think that particularly
- 34:29the Trump campaign has to win to win this election.
- 34:33And I, I am concerned that they're not taking advantage of
- 34:35that opportunity. And I'm going to get to Melania
- 34:38Trump's new book release net last week, which I think also
- 34:41was damaging to the Trump campaign.
- 34:43What Melania Trump did to come out at this time with these
- 34:45statements and with this book and these very pro abortion
- 34:48positions. Because the reality is many
- 34:50Americans who are Christian, especially mass attending
- 34:53Catholics, you know, church service attending evangelicals
- 34:57and Protestants, they care a lot about life and family.
- 35:00They care a lot about protecting the vulnerable and the innocent.
- 35:03And they're looking for a reason to vote, say Trump over Kamala.
- 35:08They're looking, many of them even for a reason to vote.
- 35:10They want a reason to vote and care enough to vote.
- 35:13Many of them might be afraid of voting.
- 35:15Maybe they're feeling apathetic, maybe they're distracted.
- 35:18But I think many people would want a very compelling reason to
- 35:23vote. And I think many people, and
- 35:25I've heard this personally from many people, get very
- 35:28discouraged when President Trump, former President Trump,
- 35:32takes the Republican Party away from social conservativism and
- 35:36instead moves it to the left. And this is something that has
- 35:38been actively happening over just the last few months.
- 35:41This did not happen in 2020. I think this is important to
- 35:44note. The RNC in 2020 looked very
- 35:46different than the RNC looks this year looked this year.
- 35:49In 2020, the Republican National Convention had a very pro-life
- 35:53and pro marriage platform. And at the RNC convention, they
- 35:56had people like Abby Johnson, a pro, a former Planned Parenthood
- 35:59worker who now is a passion pro-life speaker.
- 36:01They had her speaking at the convention and she did a great
- 36:04job. This year at the convention, you
- 36:07saw the pro-life plank basically stripped out of the platform.
- 36:11You saw the pro marriage plank stripped out of the platform.
- 36:15And you saw birth control, IVF added into the platform.
- 36:18And then as far as speakers at the convention, there is no
- 36:21pro-life, pro marriage, pro family speaker.
- 36:24Instead, you had people like the pornographic actor Amber Rose
- 36:28speaking on stage. You had this kind of big tent
- 36:31Republicanism that was being promoted at the convention.
- 36:34Is it working? Is it working right now for the
- 36:37Trump campaign? And I have been trying to sound
- 36:39the alarm that it's not working for the Trump campaign.
- 36:42In fact, I think it's hurting the Trump campaign.
- 36:44And how do you redirect course or change course at this time?
- 36:47I think it is crucial for the Trump campaign to double down on
- 36:51the base that would like to vote for them, which are passionate
- 36:54pro lifers and pro family people, many of whom are strong
- 36:57people of faith. So when President Trump comes
- 36:59out and criticizes Florida's heartbeat law for not having
- 37:02enough weeks in protecting babies and said he's saying
- 37:05there need to be less protections for preborn babies
- 37:08in Florida, he comes out with his tax funded IVF policy, which
- 37:12could lead to the abortions of many millions more future
- 37:15children and the freezing of many millions more embryos.
- 37:17This concerns a lot of people. So there's four weeks left
- 37:20before the election. I think there is still time for
- 37:23the Trump campaign to change course.
- 37:25And I think it's very important that Christians and people of
- 37:28faith raise their voices to say this is not acceptable.
- 37:30This is not OK. We are not good with this.
- 37:33Kamala Harris is going on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex
- 37:37Cooper and talking about how she supports all abortions and she
- 37:39wants even mothers of other children to be able to get
- 37:42abortions easily and without any problem.
- 37:44That's her plank, right? We need to hear the contrast
- 37:49from the Trump campaign about how life is precious, life
- 37:53matters, we're going to fight for life.
- 37:54We're going to do everything we can to support the American
- 37:56family and to support the project of mothers and fathers
- 37:59to raise children. That is our future.
- 38:01That's what we care about. I think that message would be
- 38:04very, very compelling and would galvanized the base, the
- 38:08millions of voters who are kind of sitting on the sidelines and
- 38:10thinking about how is this going down and what is the difference
- 38:13when it comes to these social issues, the difference when it
- 38:15comes to the issues of faith and life and family between being
- 38:19these candidates. I think Trump does himself no
- 38:22favors when he goes to the left on abortion and when he tries to
- 38:25sound more like Kamala Harris. And so this leads me to the next
- 38:29segment of the show that I wanted to get to, which is
- 38:31really important, which is something that happened last
- 38:33week. So we talked a lot about Kamala
- 38:35Harris and how pro abortion she is on the show.
- 38:37And we try to educate you guys and bring you the latest news
- 38:39about what she said or what she's saying about abortion as
- 38:42well as other issues. Last week, Melania Trump, the
- 38:46wife of course, of former President Trump, came out with
- 38:49her her first book. And in that, as part of her
- 38:52campaign, there were excerpts that were released as well as
- 38:54video clips of Melania Trump talking about her book.
- 38:58Take a listen. Individual freedom is a
- 39:01fundamental principle that I safeguard without a doubt.
- 39:06There is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential
- 39:10right that all women possess from birth.
- 39:14Individual freedom. What does my body, my choice
- 39:19really mean? So here she is in a video clip
- 39:23that went viral on acts where Melania Trump is talking about
- 39:26how I have the right ultimately to my body.
- 39:29She says, what does my body, my choice really mean?
- 39:31And she talks about how we possess this right from birth
- 39:34ultimately to abortion. And there's some excerpts that I
- 39:37want to read from her book because some people were saying,
- 39:39well, maybe she's not actually saying she supports abortion
- 39:41here. Maybe she's trying to somehow
- 39:43make nuance where my body my choice.
- 39:45I mean, these are very hopeful people saying, you know, I can't
- 39:48bear the thought that Melania Trump right before an election
- 39:51is coming out hardcore and for in support of abortion.
- 39:53Maybe she meant something else, right?
- 39:55Which I can understand people being so concerned learned about
- 39:58Kamala Harris being so pro abortion and wanting Trump to be
- 40:01more pro-life. And so Melania Trump coming out
- 40:03in support of abortion is a very painful thing to do 4 weeks
- 40:05before an election. But let's look at the excerpts
- 40:09from Melania's book that have been released.
- 40:11So we're going to pull up an article here and I'm going to
- 40:14take a look at the some of these.
- 40:15So Live Action News, good old live Action, thank you, Live
- 40:19Action and their amazing team over at Live Action News did a
- 40:23article with some of these excerpts.
- 40:24I'm going to read them here to you guys.
- 40:26So here's from Melania Trump writing in her new book called
- 40:30Melania, she says it is imperative.
- 40:33It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in
- 40:36deciding their preference of having children based on their
- 40:40own convictions. Why should anyone other than the
- 40:42woman have herself, have the power to determine what she does
- 40:45with her own body? Here's the next line.
- 40:48A woman's fundamental right of individual liberty to her own
- 40:52life grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she
- 40:58wishes. Then she goes on to say
- 41:00restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an
- 41:03unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her
- 41:08own body. I want to share some thoughts on
- 41:12this. But first we got to thank our
- 41:13next sponsor to the show, every life.com, which is an amazing
- 41:18pro-life company and the fastest growing diaper company in

- 42:20subscription, and after three months you can donate a full
- 42:23month's supply of diapers. To a mom and a baby in need All
- 42:27right, so we just we're looking at Melania's recent book release
- 42:32statements coming out in media. The Guardian got a advance copy
- 42:35of the book and published some of the excerpts from the book
- 42:37about abortion. She specifically said that
- 42:40restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an
- 42:43unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying her control over her
- 42:46own body. And she says I have carried this
- 42:48belief with me my entire adult life.
- 42:51So what was so tragic about these comments from Melania
- 42:53Trump is that she's not just saying and it's one thing to
- 42:56say, Oh, I have sympathy for people who would consider
- 42:58abortion for XY or Z reason or oh, I, I want to, you know, like
- 43:03my like my husband support some abortions.
- 43:06But I think abortion is so terrible and sad.
- 43:08None of that is here would instead is here is that a woman
- 43:11has this invincible right to terminate a pregnancy if the
- 43:16baby is unwanted. So there's no standard here
- 43:20about the woman being sick about the baby being conceived in rape
- 43:24or incest, right? These are these examples that
- 43:26people use to justify abortion for Melania.
- 43:29There's not even a justification needed for Melania Trump.
- 43:32If you don't want the pregnancy for whatever reason you get to
- 43:35pick, you should be able to kill the baby.
- 43:38And that's incredibly tragic. It's incredibly devastating
- 43:41because I think a lot of people were holding on to hope that
- 43:43Melania Trump was, you know, a believer, that she lived her
- 43:47Catholic faith, that she was someone who was secretly
- 43:49pro-life and just didn't make public statements.
- 43:52And I also think it's really damaging to the Trump campaign
- 43:55because President Trump has, he wants the pro-life vote.
- 43:59Former President Trump wants people who are conservative to
- 44:01vote for him. He needs their vote.
- 44:03President Trump needs their vote.
- 44:05And to have the wife of former President Trump coming out four
- 44:09weeks before an election with a bombshell book announcing her
- 44:14passionate support for abortion for any reason, provided the
- 44:18pregnancy is unwanted and the mother wants to have the
- 44:21abortion, is very damaging, I believe to the campaign.
- 44:24There's an ex tweet Fox News commentator Jesse Kelly as an
- 44:29example put out this tweet. If you guys can see it, we can
- 44:33pull it up here. He says, I guess we didn't know
- 44:35how good we had it when she just hid away for months at a time
- 44:38without hearing from her. You can miss with this demonic
- 44:42baby murdering crap. No matter what your last name
- 44:45happens to be, it's not your body, it's your baby.
- 44:49Don't murder it. This is just one example on this
- 44:51because this is a very I'm sorry, Jesse Kelly is on the 1st
- 44:56not Fox, but this is a very passionate formerly or you know,
- 45:00often has been very passionate in support of Trump.
- 45:03And here he and many others were very critical of Melania and
- 45:06these statements coming out last week.
- 45:08Now, I don't know if the Trump campaign knew what Melania was
- 45:11going to do. I'm imagining they would want to
- 45:14know or they would ask. I don't know the exact interplay
- 45:17between Melania's team and the Trump campaign.
- 45:19I'm going to imagine that there has to be some kind of
- 45:21communication happening. Maybe the campaign was totally
- 45:25surprised by these announcements coming from Melania's office and
- 45:28about our book. I don't know.
- 45:30But I will say it's very damaging to the the campaign, to
- 45:34President Trump and his campaign when his own wife is coming out
- 45:37passionately in support of abortion, making statements that
- 45:40Kamala Harris could make, making statements that sound very much
- 45:43like his opposition. Now, 4 weeks before the
- 45:46election, is the time to get the vote out.
- 45:48It's the time to get the base rallied and galvanized and
- 45:50energized. And unfortunately what I've been
- 45:53sounding the alarm about is that is not what the Trump campaign
- 45:57seems to be interested in doing. They seem to be interested in
- 45:59moderating on the very issue that could galvanized
- 46:02potentially millions of voters. And what Kamala Harris is doing
- 46:06in a as in a contrast is Kamala Harris is going on podcast like
- 46:10call Her Daddy to promote her ideology to her base.
- 46:14President Trump is not going to win pro-choice voters to his
- 46:18side by moderating on abortion. Kamala Harris is already going
- 46:21to get the pro abortion pro-choice vote.
- 46:24They already are going to go for Kamala.
- 46:26What President Trump may endanger his campaign by doing
- 46:30is by supporting more and more abortions and coming out and
- 46:33weakening the pro-life stance of the RNC and weakening the
- 46:36pro-life stance even that he may have had in the past.
- 46:39So that is where again, we're sounding the alarm.
- 46:41And I think it is important that voters, especially Christian
- 46:43voters, pro-life voters, make their voices heard to send the
- 46:47message to the campaign that compromising on life, throwing
- 46:51the babies under the bus is not the way to win and it's not the
- 46:54morally right thing to do. It is not what a leader will do
- 46:57that will help this country move forward.
- 46:59It is what someone that is going to help hurt the country and
- 47:02only damage the future of this country by promoting the killing
- 47:05of our own future, which are our children, which are babies.
- 47:08All right, before we go to our last segment, we have some
- 47:11comments here and some news out from the Hurricanes.
- 47:14As you guys know, there are hurricanes that are destroying
- 47:17the coast of Florida right now. It is a lot of devastation
- 47:21that's taking place right now, so we need to be praying for the
- 47:24people of Florida. Before that, we got to thank our
- 47:26last sponsor here. In today's modern world, it can
- 47:29be very difficult to take the time and the space to pray and
- 47:33even to know how to pray. That's why I love the Hollow
- 47:36app. The Hollow App is the number one
- 47:38Christian app in the world. It's been downloaded over
- 47:4015,000,000 times and it helps us deepen our relationship with
- 47:44God. When you use the Hollow App, you
- 47:46get access to over 10,000 guided prayers, meditations, stories,
- 47:51and other content to help you with your prayer, whether you're
- 47:54driving, in your car, or you're doing dishes.
- 47:57Or you're just going. About your day and you just need
- 47:595 to 10 minutes to sit down and focus on what matters most, your
- 48:02relationship with God. Hollow app will help you do
- 48:05that. With Hollow, you'll learn to
- 48:06pray with scripture using the Bible.
- 48:09You'll also discover prayers that have been prayed by
- 48:11Christians for thousands of years.
- 48:13I also love that Hallow takes some of the most beautiful and
- 48:16the best spiritual classics and incorporates them for you into
- 48:20your daily prayer life. Right now, there's a special
- 48:22challenge going on with Hallow to rediscover the Christian
- 48:26classic by CS Lewis, Mere Christianity.
- 48:29Mere Christianity was one of the key books for me that helped me
- 48:31in my journey and my walk with Jesus Christ.
- 48:34And what Hallow is doing is taking excerpts from Mere
- 48:36Christianity and doing guided prayer times after reading
- 48:40through the excerpts. There's all kinds of fun
- 48:42challenges on the Halo app to help you improve your prayer
- 48:45life. And again, access to every kind
- 48:47of prayer that you can imagine. I especially love the kids
- 48:50content on Halo. I use it with my kids, and they
- 48:52also have wonderful sleep prayers and sleep stories that
- 48:55you can use to help you wind down at the end of a long day.
- 48:58You can download Halo for free for three months when you go to
- 49:02the link in the description or go to halo.com/lila.
- 49:06That's halo.com/lila download. Hallow today and deepen your
- 49:10prayer walk with God. Let's go to what's happening
- 49:13right now in Florida. And we're going to end with
- 49:15prayer here for our friends in Florida.
- 49:17So as you guys know, there is Hurricane Helene, which blasted
- 49:21the coast of Florida. Many, many people were displaced
- 49:23from their homes. They say.
- 49:25They're saying that the death toll I think is over 100 people.
- 49:28They're still looking. It's actually over 200 people,
- 49:30excuse me, at this time. And they're thinking there might
- 49:33be more deaths reported. So this is really devastating.
- 49:36It's really, really devastating and now there's Hurricane Milton
- 49:39which is threatening Tampa Bay area, which is a major
- 49:42population center as you all know in Florida with over 3.3
- 49:45million people in Tampa Bay. I have personal and very dear
- 49:49friends and live action staff over in Tampa Bay so there's a
- 49:51lot to pray for right now. There was a video, there were
- 49:54two things I wanted to just note about these hurricanes.
- 49:57Some beautiful things happening. There is a headline about a the
- 50:02parishes, the Catholic churches of the some of the hurricane
- 50:05struck areas who are still holding masses even despite the
- 50:09devastation and holding them by candlelight because there is no
- 50:12electricity. So people are still trying to
- 50:14love each other, care for each other and go to mass, receive
- 50:16the sacraments despite the devastation that's happening in
- 50:20Florida. In addition, there are some
- 50:22videos that have gone viral from the area of the devastation.
- 50:27We're talking power lines, uprooted trees thrown around.
- 50:30One of my dear friends who lives in the South Carolina area but
- 50:34was still receiving some of the hits from Hurricane Helene send
- 50:38a picture of the front of her home with trees just uprooted,
- 50:41falling over, power lines falling over.
- 50:43It's a devastating scene. There was this video that went
- 50:46viral that I do want to share of a mother talking about her son
- 50:49who passed away in Hurricane Helene.
- 50:52And let's just hear what she has to say.
- 50:55Megan Dyer and her sister Heather Kephart lost their
- 50:58parents and Megan lost her seven-year old son, Micah.
- 51:02Megan agreed to do the interview with us this morning in Micah's
- 51:05honor. How is your grief today?
- 51:11My grief today is unfoundable. I'm sorrowful.
- 51:15I'm, you know, I feel broken. All the chain of prayers that I
- 51:20have felt are the things that held me up, the things that are
- 51:24holding me together right now. Because if it was up to my
- 51:26humanly flesh, I wouldn't be able to do it.
- 51:30We were on the roof. And I considered at that moment
- 51:33that we were at our safe point. So I took a picture because at
- 51:37that point I still had service and I wanted to keep them in the
- 51:40loop. I thought we were OK still until
- 51:46the house broke apart and until everything started to collapse.
- 51:50All I thought about was being a mom and keeping my son safe and
- 51:55reassuring him that this is how superheroes are made.
- 51:58I was in the water for five hours.
- 52:00I was in the water for a very long time.
- 52:03Down the river, I got caught in some trees and things were
- 52:07hitting me. I got dragged under a few times,
- 52:09and that's when I remember being in a tree.
- 52:11In that moment, you know, in the midst of the chaos, all I heard
- 52:15was God telling me to be still and to stop fighting the water.
- 52:19I'm so proud of my son because in his last moments, he wasn't
- 52:22screaming for me. He was screaming, Jesus, Jesus,
- 52:26save me. Jesus, I hear you.
- 52:28Jesus, I'm calling upon you. And his wildest dreams and
- 52:32everything that he wanted to be was a superhero, and that was
- 52:36his goal in life. And instead he's my hero.
- 52:39I couldn't have asked for a better son.
- 52:41And he was so happy up until the very end when he was screaming
- 52:45for Jesus. And in that moment, I think he
- 52:47found joy. You know, the innocence of
- 52:50children is actually quite spectacular.
- 52:53Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Yeah, it's, it is Marissa being
- 53:00a mother too, Megan and and Heather, I I do.
- 53:04Amidst the tragedy, your parents as well, Jessica included.
- 53:08And I apologize. It's so emotional.
- 53:10I think anybody watching, it's hard not to get choked up.
- 53:14Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I have.
- 53:16I'm so sorry. Yeah.
- 53:19So this is a an account from a mother who lost her seven-year
- 53:23old son in the flooding due to Hurricane Helene.
- 53:26And it it is, it's devastating listening to her share that, you
- 53:30know, she saw her son get swept up away and drown.
- 53:33And you know, I have kids. I can't even imagine the pain of
- 53:36that experience. And knowing the loss, watching
- 53:39your son, losing your son that way and then losing your son
- 53:42forever. I mean, in this life, I should
- 53:44say in this life, losing your son.
- 53:47And what she said, though, what was so powerful and convicting
- 53:50for me is that she believes he's with Jesus and that he was
- 53:53calling out for Jesus in his last moments and that she
- 53:56believed that he she used the word joy.
- 53:58He found joy because he went right to be in the arms of his
- 54:01Lord and his savior. And I thought that this is
- 54:03something I just had to share with you guys on the podcast.
- 54:05I know it's so heartbreaking and I'm sorry you're probably
- 54:07sitting there crying listening to this as as I'm just deeply
- 54:12moved and touched by it. Because we know we are.
- 54:16We are not promised tomorrow with these natural disasters
- 54:19that happen with this very consequential election that is
- 54:21happening. We don't know what the future
- 54:23will bring. What we do know for those of us
- 54:26who believe and who trust in Jesus Christ is that he is Lord,
- 54:31that he is King, He is God and that we can trust him.
- 54:35That this is not the end, is not this life, the end is eternity
- 54:38with him that we are aiming towards heaven.
- 54:41And so everything that we do, everything that we care about
- 54:44should be aimed towards that, towards eternity with God, with
- 54:47the one who loves us and created us.
- 54:49And that's my hope guys. A lot of people ask me if you
- 54:51get discouraged all with all this stuff happening in
- 54:53politics, this election is so, so crazy.
- 54:56And of course, the the damage that these hurricanes are doing
- 55:00to our loved ones over in Florida and over in parts of the
- 55:05Carolinas and those that are being hit by the storm, even in
- 55:09Georgia. And I just think it comes back
- 55:12to, yes, we need to pray for them and pray for how for their
- 55:17safety, for their protection. But it does come back to faith.
- 55:19I really do think so much of this fight that we're in
- 55:23culturally, this politically, it comes back to trust, trusting in
- 55:26God. And So what I want to do is end
- 55:28with a part of the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
- 55:31We do a decade of the Divine Mercy Chaplet on the show,
- 55:33usually at the end of these lives.
- 55:35And I want to dedicate this Divine Mercy Chaplet decade to
- 55:40the election and to the survivors and those that are in
- 55:43danger of Hurricane Milton now in Florida, that they can be
- 55:48protected for lives to be saved and for the eternal rest of the
- 55:52souls of those who have been lost as well due to the
- 55:56Hurricanes and the damage. And so you guys might know we've
- 55:59prayed this before. The Chocolate of Divine Mercy is
- 56:01a very beautiful prayer from the last century.
- 56:03And it is imploring the mercy of God, asking for his mercy on us
- 56:09and using the blood of Jesus Christ because through his blood
- 56:12we are saved. And so it starts this with this
- 56:16one large prayer, I'll pray. And then there's 10 smaller
- 56:18prayers so you can join me in praying.
- 56:20We have it up on the screen here for those watching on YouTube.
- 56:23So the first prayer in the name of the Father, the Son, and the
- 56:26Holy Spirit, Amen. Eternal Father, Ioffer you the
- 56:29body and blood, soul and divinity of Your dearly beloved
- 56:32Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, an atonement for our sins and those
- 56:36of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful
- 56:39passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 56:42For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on
- 56:45the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful
- 56:47Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 56:50For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on
- 56:53the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful
- 56:55Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 56:58For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on
- 57:01the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful
- 57:03passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 57:06For the sake of a sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on
- 57:08the whole world. For the sake of a sorrowful
- 57:10passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 57:13For the sake of a sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on
- 57:16the whole world. For the sake of a sorrowful
- 57:17passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
- 57:18Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
- 57:20Thank you guys for praying with me.
- 57:21Thanks so much for listening to this episode of the Lila Rose
- 57:24Podcast, and we will see you guys next time.
