- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and it's to stop me true good
- 0:20Speaker 1: at listen to the mother. Please, I don't join join me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn n you go. You gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Turn. You haven't got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out to turn the water the water go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, I shore will a good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Oh man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God. Because God
- 2:16Speaker 1: is simply amazing. Because God is off the chain, because
- 2:20Speaker 1: God is over the top, because God is all that
- 2:24Speaker 1: in a bag of chips. God is amazing. Man. God
- 2:27Speaker 1: will take you places that you never ever thought you
- 2:31Speaker 1: would go. Oh you know what. It sometimes it amazes
- 2:34Speaker 1: me when I'm watching all people talk about themselves and
- 2:38Speaker 1: their careers and where they're adding life and things and
- 2:41Speaker 1: they and I hear people say, you know, always dreamed
- 2:45Speaker 1: of being him. You know, I can understand when a
- 2:48Speaker 1: person says that I've always dreamed that of something like
- 2:52Speaker 1: this would happen to me. But I want you to
- 2:54Speaker 1: think about that for a second. Did you really see
- 2:59Speaker 1: it just like that though? Did you really really see
- 3:04Speaker 1: it just like that? Did you really know that God
- 3:10Speaker 1: was gonna bring you through all he bought you through
- 3:13Speaker 1: to get you to this place? Did you know that,
- 3:17Speaker 1: in spite of the losses along the way that would
- 3:19Speaker 1: crumble the average person, that somehow He kept you through
- 3:24Speaker 1: it all and that's how you got here? Did you
- 3:28Speaker 1: think of you know? I mean, you know, you know.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean, since you're so busy talking about yourself now,
- 3:34Speaker 1: have you forgotten all the times He was bringing you
- 3:38Speaker 1: through when you didn't see no way that you was
- 3:41Speaker 1: gonna get through? Do you remember that? So when you
- 3:44Speaker 1: sit there and you say, I dreamed of this, this
- 3:48Speaker 1: is what I always saw happening, I don't really think. So,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't really think. If you take inventory, or real
- 3:55Speaker 1: close inventory of your life and you look back on
- 3:59Speaker 1: it all, stop at the moment right now, remember where
- 4:02Speaker 1: you come from. See, that's what gets me emotional sometimes,
- 4:05Speaker 1: that's what makes me tear up, because when something is
- 4:08Speaker 1: happening to me in the moment, it ain't the moment
- 4:12Speaker 1: for me, it's the memory of how I got there.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's the recollection of all the things, all the nights,
- 4:21Speaker 1: all the days in that car, all the times by
- 4:24Speaker 1: myself when I felt like I wasn't gonna make it.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But somehow I'm standing somewhere and somebody passing out an
- 4:30Speaker 1: award to me or somebody calling my name, that's that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Did you really think you was gonna make it? Then?
- 4:38Speaker 1: So so so, since you're talking about this is what
- 4:40Speaker 1: I always dreamed of, did you really think in those
- 4:44Speaker 1: moments right there that you would even be standing here today?
- 4:47Speaker 1: That's why I try. I try to give people understand
- 4:49Speaker 1: you know, and and and and this is kind of
- 4:51Speaker 1: for young people today what I'm about to say. But
- 4:55Speaker 1: then guess what I sometimes I have to remind myself
- 4:58Speaker 1: of it. So I guess it's still kind of for
- 4:59Speaker 1: every about it, you know, because I work with a
- 5:02Speaker 1: lot of young people, and so many times, man, young
- 5:05Speaker 1: people just don't understand what all it takes. And I know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and if you're a full grown adult, if you're forty,
- 5:14Speaker 1: you you really understanding where I'm coming from, because you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: it's listen to me, young people or anybody that don't
- 5:23Speaker 1: understand this, that you got to do some things that
- 5:27Speaker 1: you don't want to do in order to do what
- 5:30Speaker 1: you want to do. You have to understand this principle
- 5:34Speaker 1: of success or else you are not going to become successful.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I got what you want to do. I got your
- 5:42Speaker 1: ultimate goal? Is this, that, and the other? I got
- 5:45Speaker 1: all of that. But in the meantime, though, there are
- 5:49Speaker 1: some necessary steps that you have to take in order
- 5:51Speaker 1: to become successful, and you cannot skip these steps. You
- 5:56Speaker 1: can't jump over these steps just because you want to
- 5:58Speaker 1: be rich, Friday, I got that. I got that. Everybody
- 6:02Speaker 1: got that. But if you want this whatever you're talking about,
- 6:07Speaker 1: whether it's money or success or fame or climbing the
- 6:11Speaker 1: corporate letter or this is the position or you all,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's fine, and Danny, please hold on to your dreams.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Dreams come true. But in the meantime, let me remind
- 6:23Speaker 1: you of something that you gotta do some things you
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't want to do in order to do what you
- 6:29Speaker 1: want to do. Let's say you want to be rich
- 6:32Speaker 1: and famous. Let's just say that's it for you. Let's
- 6:34Speaker 1: sit there. It's a lot of other ways of being successful.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Please don't think that's the only one. But I'm just saying,
- 6:39Speaker 1: let's just say yours is rich and famous, and let's
- 6:42Speaker 1: say some miraculous way God made you rich and famous.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Next Friday, you rich and you famous? Next Friday? Can
- 6:53Speaker 1: I share something with you? This is not going to
- 6:55Speaker 1: last for you. You know why because you have not
- 6:59Speaker 1: done the thing it's necessary. You have not done the
- 7:03Speaker 1: things that you have to do in order to do
- 7:07Speaker 1: the things you want. So now you're rich and famous,
- 7:10Speaker 1: how you gonna know how to budget money? How are
- 7:14Speaker 1: you gonna know how to get up and keep clawing
- 7:17Speaker 1: towards the top when you fall off your pedestal. See,
- 7:21Speaker 1: it's so many things you got to know about something,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and you think, because it's what you want right now,
- 7:27Speaker 1: it's supposed to happen just now. It's a process. When
- 7:29Speaker 1: you ask God for something, Please know, God know the process.
- 7:34Speaker 1: He knows the necessary steps to take you through. Don't
- 7:37Speaker 1: lose your patience with God because your dreams ain't coming
- 7:40Speaker 1: true right now? Man? You know you know I think
- 7:46Speaker 1: the best way y'all is for me. I just use
- 7:48Speaker 1: myself as an example. I really do understand why God
- 7:51Speaker 1: has given me the life he's giving me so far.
- 7:54Speaker 1: I understand it. Being homeless part. Now I get the
- 7:57Speaker 1: not being successful when I want it. Two part, Now
- 8:01Speaker 1: I get it. I got the delayed entry into the
- 8:04Speaker 1: field of choice for myself. I got it now. I've
- 8:07Speaker 1: been wanting to be on TV and a little comedian
- 8:09Speaker 1: since I was nine years old. But guess what, I
- 8:12Speaker 1: didn't get there until I was twenty eight. But see
- 8:15Speaker 1: I didn't get it then I was mad at God.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You know what, I won't knop sending them here here
- 8:20Speaker 1: I got exactly what you want, But I got this process.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I want you to go through to get here too,
- 8:25Speaker 1: because see I'm fit to take you somewhere. You don't
- 8:27Speaker 1: know nothing, but one day you're gonna have a radio
- 8:29Speaker 1: show with You're a little stupid behind. You don't know
- 8:31Speaker 1: this yet. I'm gonna bless you with a radio show.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You don't even know it. That's why I said every morning,
- 8:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Because see I didn't.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I didn't see this one coming. But see God had
- 8:41Speaker 1: a plan for me. It was in the blueprint of
- 8:43Speaker 1: my life. So God said, what I'm gonna do is
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna make your life a little rough for you.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna toss you up a little bit I'm I'm
- 8:52Speaker 1: gonna let you make some of these stupid decisions you
- 8:54Speaker 1: wanna make it. I'm gonna make you learn from them.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna let you be homeless for a little while.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you not get into your field of
- 9:02Speaker 1: choice until you're twenty eight. I'm gonna have people talking
- 9:05Speaker 1: about if we had only seen him when he was younger.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I ain't gonna let you get your first call your
- 9:09Speaker 1: name till your thirty eight. I'm gonna make you go
- 9:12Speaker 1: through some things because one day I'm gonna put a
- 9:15Speaker 1: microphone in front of your mouth, and I want you
- 9:17Speaker 1: to honor me. I want you to talk about me.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I want you to tell people what I bought you through.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I want you to give people inspirational moments where they
- 9:25Speaker 1: can see that your life was jacked up for a
- 9:28Speaker 1: minute and I turned your life around for you. That's
- 9:31Speaker 1: God dealing with me. See. So now I finally understand
- 9:35Speaker 1: why I went through the life I went through, so
- 9:38Speaker 1: I can have something to say. See, I ain't over
- 9:40Speaker 1: here telling you about what I think are happened. I'm
- 9:43Speaker 1: telling you what I know can happen. That God does
- 9:46Speaker 1: make dreams come true. But sometime it take a minute.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Sometimes you're gonna have to do some things you don't
- 9:52Speaker 1: want to do in order to do what you want
- 9:54Speaker 1: to do. All right, all that you, I'm gonna be
- 9:56Speaker 1: tripping a day. You're listening Dave, Good Morning Show, Good Morning.

- 14:06Speaker 1: small favor? Hello, I'm trying to reach Vicky. Vicky, Hey, Vicky,
- 14:13Speaker 1: how are you doing? Are you the m Are you
- 14:15Speaker 1: the niece of of uh uh? I think it's ain't.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Ain't your aunt? Yes? Okay? And you you now your
- 14:25Speaker 1: aren't passed away? I mean I mean years ago, y'all
- 14:27Speaker 1: are passed. It was about five years ago. Okay, listen,
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm over here at the funeral home. Uh my, my
- 14:35Speaker 1: my sister just passed away, and uh, they gave me
- 14:40Speaker 1: your phone number, did you guys? We're going through a
- 14:43Speaker 1: little bit of a situation here, did you guys? Aren't
- 14:46Speaker 1: you know your aunt was a heavy set woman? Is
- 14:48Speaker 1: that right? Yes? You was? Okay? Now they had to
- 14:52Speaker 1: did they have to put her in a in a
- 14:54Speaker 1: Did they have a bill of a special casket for her? Yeah? Okay,
- 14:58Speaker 1: that's where we're kind of going through with my sister.
- 15:01Speaker 1: We ordered a special casket for for for my sister,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and I'm assuming this is the same thing that you
- 15:08Speaker 1: guys went through. I called several of her, her children,
- 15:12Speaker 1: but I wasn't able to get in touch with anybody
- 15:13Speaker 1: but that the funeral home actually had your name on
- 15:16Speaker 1: file as well, so they gave me your number where
- 15:18Speaker 1: I would be able to talk to you. Is that
- 15:20Speaker 1: is that? Okay? Yeah, that's okay. You can speak to me,
- 15:24Speaker 1: but you know, let's things leave a problem. Well, listen,
- 15:28Speaker 1: the funeral is actually in two days and we ordered
- 15:32Speaker 1: one of those special caskets, but it doesn't look like
- 15:35Speaker 1: it's gonna be in for another week. So you know,
- 15:38Speaker 1: it's almost like we're gonna, we're gonna we're not gonna
- 15:40Speaker 1: have a casket for her, um, you know, for the funeral.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And you know, like I said, the funeral home told
- 15:47Speaker 1: us about you know that you guys were the last
- 15:49Speaker 1: ones that ordered a casket of that size, and you know,
- 15:53Speaker 1: me and the rest of the family has been you know,
- 15:55Speaker 1: we were trying to figure out what to do and
- 15:56Speaker 1: what to do. Do you think it's any way possible
- 16:00Speaker 1: we can borrow the casket that your Ain't is in,
- 16:05Speaker 1: and then when the casket comes in and we ordered,
- 16:08Speaker 1: we can put her in that casket and put her
- 16:11Speaker 1: back down to rest like she's always been. Do you
- 16:14Speaker 1: think that's? Excuse me? Hello, hello, you think could you
- 16:20Speaker 1: repeat yourself? What exactly are you asking me? Well, what
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm saying is, do you think we can borrow your
- 16:26Speaker 1: ain't casket? Because you know, the funel is in two
- 16:29Speaker 1: days and the casket is not gonna be in in
- 16:32Speaker 1: order for us to be able to bury her in
- 16:34Speaker 1: a in a casket for you know, to accommodate her size.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That's what I'm asking. What kind of that you're talking about?
- 16:41Speaker 1: First of all, who is this? Okay, No, my name
- 16:44Speaker 1: is Larry. Like I said, my name is Larry. I
- 16:46Speaker 1: got you, I got you guys. Like I said, I
- 16:48Speaker 1: tried to call some of her kids, but nobody ever
- 16:51Speaker 1: picked up when I called her niece's number on file too.
- 16:56Speaker 1: You you are her niece, Vicky, right, Yes, I am.
- 17:00Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Do you think that maybe you
- 17:03Speaker 1: can talk to the children and see if we can
- 17:05Speaker 1: maybe use that particular casket? Okay, wait a minute, what
- 17:09Speaker 1: the talking about this? Them? First of all, who who
- 17:12Speaker 1: is this? You? You gotta be losing your mind if
- 17:15Speaker 1: you think I'm gonna let you dig up my any
- 17:18Speaker 1: for just to bury your silks. But I understand where
- 17:21Speaker 1: you're coming from. But what I'm trying to say is
- 17:22Speaker 1: that we don't have a casket big enough. And they
- 17:25Speaker 1: were they they let us know that you guys were
- 17:27Speaker 1: the last ones that had a casket that you know,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I gotta do with us? That's your trust to figuring out?
- 17:34Speaker 1: Have you no show? No? No? Well, okay, First of all,
- 17:37Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do is this. The family been
- 17:39Speaker 1: grieving pretty hard and I just wanted to make sure
- 17:42Speaker 1: that the funeral will be right. And it ain't gonna
- 17:44Speaker 1: be right. Don't don't bring my family gonna feel digging
- 17:48Speaker 1: any of you show they don't call me with this.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Who is the funeral home that gave you my number
- 17:56Speaker 1: to ask me to use the casket so you can
- 17:58Speaker 1: bury your sister? Was the name of that person? I
- 18:01Speaker 1: can't remember, but it was. It was a guy. The
- 18:03Speaker 1: funeral director let me know that you guys had went
- 18:06Speaker 1: through a situation where you had to bury your your
- 18:08Speaker 1: your your art. Like I said, I try to call
- 18:11Speaker 1: what's your name again? My name is Larry. Okay, Larry.
- 18:14Speaker 1: This is a This is a stupid I don't know
- 18:17Speaker 1: what give you my phone number to call me asking
- 18:19Speaker 1: you just don't. Can you believe they call your asking
- 18:23Speaker 1: me so can dig up they can bury. They don't
- 18:29Speaker 1: have a casket. Hello, No, No, what kind of idstands
- 18:32Speaker 1: your fault? No? I understand it's not your fault. What
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is what y'all show some sympathy
- 18:37Speaker 1: and some love for me and my family going through
- 18:40Speaker 1: because we don't have a casket. Like I say, my
- 18:42Speaker 1: truster my was was you know, if the heaviest was
- 18:45Speaker 1: a hestad good? You know. My condulesence go out to
- 18:49Speaker 1: you and your family. You know I'm trying to be
- 18:51Speaker 1: as reserved as I can with this whole situation. But

- 22:34Speaker 1: drunk and had sex with an ex boyfriend and he
- 22:37Speaker 1: is still very much in love with me. I only
- 22:40Speaker 1: wanted revenge sex, but now he is threatening to tell
- 22:43Speaker 1: my man what happened. What should I do? You're gonna
- 22:46Speaker 1: have to keep doing it with it, that's what I
- 22:48Speaker 1: gotta keep. You got to keep doing it. You didn't
- 22:50Speaker 1: got yourself into that. You're gonna have to keep doing it, Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you got to do it. You keep doing it until
- 22:55Speaker 1: he don't want it no more, in order to save
- 22:57Speaker 1: your common law marriage. First of all, that sound crazy
- 23:00Speaker 1: way to say your common law marriage, but you know

- 23:33Speaker 1: see that man start taking clothes off, because depending on
- 23:36Speaker 1: take it off like a black woman. You know, you
- 23:38Speaker 1: take your bra off and they pull it through that
- 23:40Speaker 1: and pull it all the way through. They they can
- 23:42Speaker 1: take a bra off through the shirt. They cold with
- 23:44Speaker 1: that thing. Yeah, you have to all right, you're in
- 23:49Speaker 1: the middle of all women can do that. That's all art. Yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I didn't see take that off with a whole sweatshirt

- 23:58Speaker 1: Watch trying to take our draws off through our pains
- 24:02Speaker 1: for Rights Levon from Philly Rights. I had a game
- 24:06Speaker 1: night at my house and my boyfriend chose my best
- 24:09Speaker 1: friend as his spade partner. I got jealous at how
- 24:12Speaker 1: my boyfriend vibed with her. He hugged her and pulled
- 24:15Speaker 1: her onto his lap. After they won. I made a
- 24:18Speaker 1: scene and he said he didn't do anything wrong. I
- 24:21Speaker 1: said it was inappropriate. What do you think? See when
- 24:24Speaker 1: you run a Boston on somebody, that kind of love
- 24:28Speaker 1: comes together. You know what I'm saying. When y'all get
- 24:29Speaker 1: ten books, you deserve a hook and a lap. It's
- 24:33Speaker 1: just you're looking at this wrong. You're looking at this wrong.

- 25:27Speaker 1: You know I ain't got no hearts? What did you do?
- 25:33Speaker 1: People are serious about their card. Let me tell you
- 25:35Speaker 1: when black people get mad at space when when you
- 25:37Speaker 1: lead and we lose three books in a row. Okay,
- 25:39Speaker 1: now you're the first. Okay, now that's the first. Okay.
- 25:42Speaker 1: One question, one question. This is a little sidebar. What
- 25:45Speaker 1: does it mean when you put the card on your forehead?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Get ready? What does that mean? Get ready? You're ready
- 25:51Speaker 1: because it ain't nobody going to beat this book. This
- 25:53Speaker 1: last book is out. This is the victory. Okay, you
- 25:58Speaker 1: pick that card and stick it on your foehead. Oh yeah, baby,
- 26:01Speaker 1: this is it. I thought it just been she had
- 26:04Speaker 1: a greasy forehead. All right, Carmen and Merman and Denver says,
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm a forty two year old divorced woman. The man
- 26:13Speaker 1: i'm dating told me had told me that he likes
- 26:16Speaker 1: to swing occasionally, but he wants to do it every weekend. Um, first,
- 26:21Speaker 1: he said occasionally, Um, he loves watching me with others.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And do you think he's capable of having monogamous monogamous relationship? Wait?
- 26:29Speaker 1: Wait wait wait wait wait, he liked watching you with others,
- 26:32Speaker 1: So yeah, swing occasionally, but now he's doing it every
- 26:36Speaker 1: weekend and he likes watching her with others. Okay, so
- 26:40Speaker 1: we're not swing, We swing in. That's what we're doing.
- 26:43Speaker 1: We swing in every weekend, we're doing. It's over. I
- 26:47Speaker 1: ain't no, yes, yeah, no turning back. If you're looking
- 26:52Speaker 1: for us to one on one with him, that's a rap.
- 26:53Speaker 1: It's over with. It's been gone, y'all. Once you start
- 26:57Speaker 1: to swing, it's over. It's a huh. So to answer
- 27:01Speaker 1: her question, do you think he's capable of monogamous relationship?
- 27:05Speaker 1: You're saying no, he's capable of a nag? Ladies? Was
- 27:11Speaker 1: he capable of? Okay? Three fold five six people? The
- 27:16Speaker 1: numbers just keep going up. The number is not gonna
- 27:19Speaker 1: get back down to two. Now. That's bored to him.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's just you and him, that's it. That's we gotta
- 27:25Speaker 1: get some people up in him. We gotta get some
- 27:27Speaker 1: niket people in him fast. This is not happy at all.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You are messing up the entire weekend, just me and you.
- 27:32Speaker 1: This is it? You think that's turning me on? You
- 27:40Speaker 1: walking through him naked? That ain't doing. And you need
- 27:42Speaker 1: to get some more people up in him. All walked
- 27:45Speaker 1: through here naked? Ye, some drinks, some alders. I need
- 27:48Speaker 1: a lot of naked people and some food and stuff.
- 27:50Speaker 1: What are we doing this? Ain't you got you? Yeah?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Because I tell you right now, if he loved watching
- 27:58Speaker 1: you with other people, that's it. You need other people
- 28:01Speaker 1: for him to love you. He can't love you by
- 28:02Speaker 1: your thank you. Yeah, I'm telling you right now. Try
- 28:07Speaker 1: to Netflix and you started it. Yeah, watch when you
- 28:10Speaker 1: get them, Watch when you get them. Eight nine people
- 28:12Speaker 1: in the room. But he look across the room. I
- 28:15Speaker 1: love yo. Yeah, that's what he gonna tell you when
- 28:19Speaker 1: you make this for me? All right? Last one, guys,
- 28:22Speaker 1: Last one. Moving on to Parker in Maryland. Parker says,
- 28:25Speaker 1: I'm a thirty four year old kept man and my
- 28:27Speaker 1: woman gives me money and plane tickets to meet her
- 28:30Speaker 1: in various cities. She's a single woman, but I've never
- 28:33Speaker 1: I've never been to her house, and I don't even
- 28:35Speaker 1: know where she works. Why is she being so mysterious
- 28:38Speaker 1: with me? You can't say nothing. You kept. You can
- 28:41Speaker 1: tell you not to keep. You use you kept, So
- 28:43Speaker 1: you got to keep your damn mouth shut. You do
- 28:45Speaker 1: what you're told. You can't you kept. You can't say nothing.
- 28:49Speaker 1: You don't answer where I work at, where I do
- 28:50Speaker 1: for money? What's wrong with you? I meet you here,
- 28:54Speaker 1: we do here. You skelt and I keep and ju

- 29:09Speaker 1: In an interview with Cleveland News five on Friday, Cleveland
- 29:12Speaker 1: Brown's quarterback Deshaun Watson issued a public apology and an
- 29:16Speaker 1: effort to make amends to all of the women who
- 29:19Speaker 1: have accused him of sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Take
- 29:23Speaker 1: a listen. Look, I want to say that I'm truly
- 29:26Speaker 1: sorry to all the women that I've impacted in this situation.
- 29:29Speaker 1: My decisions that I made in my life that put
- 29:32Speaker 1: me in this position. Um, you know, I would definitely
- 29:35Speaker 1: like to have back, but I want to continue to
- 29:37Speaker 1: move forward and grow and learn and and show that
- 29:40Speaker 1: you know, I am a true person of Charatherine. I
- 29:43Speaker 1: want to keep pushing forward. Well, yeah, that's the zoology.
- 29:49Speaker 1: What's the status on that now, Well, Watson's suspension doesn't
- 29:55Speaker 1: count the preseason. He was eligible to play in the
- 29:58Speaker 1: preseason game on Friday against the Jacksonville Jacksonvillears. But but
- 30:05Speaker 1: now he was booed by the fans as he walked
- 30:08Speaker 1: into the field. I think that was to be expected, though,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you know, her stands are, Yeah, they're gonna Yeah, that's
- 30:14Speaker 1: what they do. And you know, they felt that he
- 30:17Speaker 1: deserved it, so that's what they did. The Browns went
- 30:20Speaker 1: on to beat the Jaguars twenty four to thirteen. Okay, okay,
- 30:25Speaker 1: I'll wait for sports. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, all right,
- 30:30Speaker 1: moving on to ohoh this story right here? Uh? In
- 30:34Speaker 1: an update on the horrific crash last week in the
- 30:38Speaker 1: Los Angeles area. Nicole L. Lenton, the traveling nurse who
- 30:42Speaker 1: kills six people in that one hundred mile per hour
- 30:45Speaker 1: fiery accident, is jailed in Lynnwood, California, and has been
- 30:49Speaker 1: charged with six counts of murder five counts of gross
- 30:53Speaker 1: vehicular manslaughter. She faces up to ninety years in prison
- 30:57Speaker 1: if she is convicted. According to her warrior, she had
- 31:01Speaker 1: previously been involved in thirteen car accidents and she has
- 31:05Speaker 1: profound history of mental health issues. Yes, why yeah, why
- 31:14Speaker 1: are you nursing on people while that? Did you do
- 31:18Speaker 1: a background check on her and her license should have
- 31:20Speaker 1: been suspended? You involved in thirteen cards thirteen? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 1: that's terrific. Yeah yeah. Having a job, you shouldn't be
- 31:30Speaker 1: able to catch the bus. I mean, this is this
- 31:33Speaker 1: is bad. Yeah, it really really is bad. Yeah, and
- 31:38Speaker 1: and our prayers and condolences go out to the families
- 31:41Speaker 1: of those six people who were mowed down in that accident.
- 31:46Speaker 1: You know, you can't be really, I can't be sad
- 31:49Speaker 1: about it ninety years. I'm sorry. I can't because if
- 31:53Speaker 1: you kill I think about you kill six people. Man. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 1: oh my God, for the rest of your life. Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Justice for these victims and they'll never come back. Yeah.
- 32:11Speaker 1: You ain't doing no driving in jail. You got to
- 32:13Speaker 1: walk everywhere get rid. Yeah. Shooting yeah serious, Yeah, that's
- 32:23Speaker 1: what we do. You know, people just out driving, going somewhere,
- 32:25Speaker 1: having fun, and all of a sudden, here you come
- 32:27Speaker 1: flying down the street on home. I mean yeah, horrible, horrible.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I know that exact intersection too, all right. Moving on
- 32:36Speaker 1: to Nipsey Hustle um uh. Posthumously. He is set to
- 32:41Speaker 1: receive the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today
- 32:45Speaker 1: on what would have been his thirty seventh birthday. So happened.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Happy heavenly birthday to Nipsey Hustle, whose life ended tragically
- 32:53Speaker 1: back in twenty nineteen. Other stars in the twenty two
- 32:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty two Walk of Fame class and George Clinton,
- 33:00Speaker 1: Michael b. Jordan, Martha Reeves, and Michael strahand A SNL's
- 33:05Speaker 1: Keenan Thompson received his star on Friday. So my name
- 33:08Speaker 1: ain't no way in there. You don't see my name
- 33:10Speaker 1: on the list nowhere. I saw himself, I saw George Clinton,
- 33:14Speaker 1: I saw Michael B. Jordan, Martha Reeves. I didn't see
- 33:17Speaker 1: Tom Michael straighthand he's from Houston. I ain't got nothing
- 33:21Speaker 1: to do with me. Maybe you have a connection there, tu,
- 33:28Speaker 1: Come on, my mama went to TSU. I didn't get
- 33:30Speaker 1: my mom and daddy went to TSU. But that's got
- 33:32Speaker 1: nothing to do with me and my star go here.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But you could connect in straighthand that's the connection. No,
- 33:39Speaker 1: you know what, I'd have made him my mind. I'm
- 33:41Speaker 1: gonna put mine in my driveway. I'm not gonna got
- 33:44Speaker 1: nothing to wait on everybody that no. Yeah, some more
- 33:49Speaker 1: sad news out of Hollywood. UM actress Anne hash Uh
- 33:53Speaker 1: has died from injuries that she suffered Friday, August Smith
- 33:56Speaker 1: after driving her card through at Los Angeles home. Has
- 33:59Speaker 1: suffered a severe brain injury. It was kept alive on
- 34:02Speaker 1: life support for a week before she passed away. She
- 34:05Speaker 1: was fifty three. If you recall. Um, some people don't
- 34:08Speaker 1: remember her, but um back in the day, I guess
- 34:11Speaker 1: she and Ellen dated for a while Ellen degenerous and
- 34:14Speaker 1: a lot of people remember her from that. Yeah. So yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 1: our condolence is going out to her family for sure. Um. Yeah,
- 34:24Speaker 1: very sad, very very sad. She had children and yeah
- 34:28Speaker 1: she did touching tribute, yes, that her son did, and
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know, and just heartbroken. Yeah, just really sad. Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 34:43Speaker 1: it is absolutely it's very very short. Um. Wow, yeah
- 34:50Speaker 1: that story. Because wasn't she on wasn't she on a
- 34:52Speaker 1: soap opera? Two? Um? Was it Another World? I think
- 34:56Speaker 1: she played twins on the Yeah, watching her. It was
- 35:02Speaker 1: a movie she did with Harrison Ford. Harrison Ford, I
- 35:06Speaker 1: remember that movie. That was a great movie. Uh huh
- 35:12Speaker 1: and hash uhh. Yeah, she did a great movie with
- 35:15Speaker 1: Harris seven. It was six Days, seven Days. Yes, I
- 35:18Speaker 1: knew I had a number in it, but I could. Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 1: That was really good. Yeah, she was a wonderful, wonderful actress.
- 35:24Speaker 1: That happened. Wow. And the reason they kept her on
- 35:28Speaker 1: life support is so they could figure out what to
- 35:31Speaker 1: do with her organs. They wanted to you know, you know,
- 35:36Speaker 1: people need organs, so that's what they do sometimes to
- 35:40Speaker 1: decide to donate. Absolutely. Yeah, all right, coming up at
- 35:44Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour, here's a question, would you
- 35:47Speaker 1: ever sure share your location with your partner, allowing them
- 35:51Speaker 1: to track you? Think about that you're listening to show.
- 35:56Speaker 1: To share or not to share your location is the
- 36:00Speaker 1: subject of this story. How would you feel if your
- 36:03Speaker 1: partner asks you to share your location with them? Okay,
- 36:06Speaker 1: that's the question. You know, that's very easy to do
- 36:09Speaker 1: on your smartphone. Clinical psychologist doctor Jasmine Sad says it's
- 36:14Speaker 1: a decision that's giving a lot of people anxiety, and
- 36:18Speaker 1: it's an issue that comes up a lot with her patients.
- 36:21Speaker 1: She tells her patients that the decision to share your
- 36:23Speaker 1: location with your partner should be a solution to a problem,
- 36:28Speaker 1: like if there's a legitimate reason for why you both
- 36:31Speaker 1: need to know where the other one is. If it's
- 36:34Speaker 1: just to keep tabs on each other because you don't
- 36:36Speaker 1: trust each other, then that's not healthy. So here's a
- 36:41Speaker 1: question for you. Would you ever share your location or
- 36:44Speaker 1: even ask your partner to share his location with you?
- 36:48Speaker 1: Big deal? That's see, that's why I don't want those
- 36:51Speaker 1: smartphone I got a dumb ass phone. I don't want
- 36:53Speaker 1: those smartphone. That's a smartphone tell you all these different
- 36:57Speaker 1: things we need to tell you the temperature and going
- 37:00Speaker 1: on everything. I don't need all that. I need a
- 37:02Speaker 1: dumb head phone. I could just make a call and
- 37:04Speaker 1: and that's it. But all this pinpoint me where you at?
- 37:07Speaker 1: I'm in the back room. Why you need no where
- 37:08Speaker 1: I'm at? I'm not. I'm not when I when I
- 37:10Speaker 1: pull out this driveway, I'm on my own. Let me be.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I don't need all that. You don't share your location
- 37:16Speaker 1: in the house. It's when you're out. But what do
- 37:19Speaker 1: you want though? When I leave? What do you want?
- 37:22Speaker 1: If you want me to bring some bread home? Text
- 37:24Speaker 1: me you want me bring some bread home? But you
- 37:26Speaker 1: don't even know where I'm getting the bread from. You
- 37:28Speaker 1: just tell me you what you need? Jesus, your pinpoint me?
- 37:32Speaker 1: Why what are you doing over there? I'm doing what
- 37:34Speaker 1: I want to do over here. I'm at the park,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I'm running three miles. What do you want? What if
- 37:40Speaker 1: you don't want nothing? Yeah, I'm sorry. We've been married
- 37:43Speaker 1: twenty one years. You what do you want? Why I
- 37:46Speaker 1: just left you? I don't see your problem with just
- 37:49Speaker 1: sharing your location. I don't see your problem with that. Huh,
- 37:53Speaker 1: what's wrong with you? You've been married twenty one years.
- 37:56Speaker 1: You can't share your location? Huh? Right? She know where
- 37:59Speaker 1: I be? Calor the same damn cigar ball on Thursday?
- 38:03Speaker 1: If you pass by the six thirty and you know
- 38:05Speaker 1: him right there? What do you want? What? Okay? Well,
- 38:08Speaker 1: since you want to share it, I'm just gonna come
- 38:09Speaker 1: up there, since that's where you are. And what none,
- 38:13Speaker 1: we got a problem coming up there embarrassing me in
- 38:17Speaker 1: front of my friends. What do you want? Junior? What
- 38:22Speaker 1: do you say? Oh? What? Say you? Absolutely? We'll share
- 38:25Speaker 1: my location? Yea? I damn sure, we'll share my location.
- 38:30Speaker 1: But here's the thing. I won't be nowhere. That phone
- 38:34Speaker 1: don't be in Philadelphia and I'm in New Mexico. I
- 38:39Speaker 1: share it. I promise you get a location. I better
- 38:42Speaker 1: the fact when you take my baby down isn't fill it? Yeah? Down,
- 38:47Speaker 1: my ass is somewhere else. I share it, though, I
- 38:50Speaker 1: get you. I sure will. I have no problem, y'all.
- 38:56Speaker 1: You asked the question. I said, yeah, live in my
- 38:59Speaker 1: best life. I'm a saying I had to keep it
- 39:02Speaker 1: to be with me. Leave it at the church all
- 39:08Speaker 1: week I've been praying. All right, coming up, we'll talk
- 39:11Speaker 1: about this big fight that happened at Spirit Airlines right
- 39:14Speaker 1: after this You're listening show. A big debate was sparked
- 39:21Speaker 1: online over the weekend after video footage of a physical
- 39:24Speaker 1: alter tate altercation between a Spirit Airlines employee and a
- 39:29Speaker 1: female passenger went viral. Did you guys see the video? Everybody?
- 39:35Speaker 1: It was crazy. The black male Spirit Airlines employee was pushed,
- 39:40Speaker 1: yelled at, cursed at, and called defamatory names by a
- 39:44Speaker 1: female passenger. Now was this female passenger white? She looked white?
- 39:48Speaker 1: Well she did. She looked white. She was white. Every
- 39:52Speaker 1: angle I looked at it, every angle I looked, she
- 39:54Speaker 1: was white. On the ground, every angle I looked, she
- 39:58Speaker 1: was white. Spirit employee continuously asked the woman to back up,
- 40:03Speaker 1: but she continues to turn him and eventually hit him
- 40:07Speaker 1: in his face as another passenger tried to separate them.
- 40:10Speaker 1: The Spirit employee then hit the woman several times before
- 40:13Speaker 1: another black male got in the Spirit employee's space. Set
- 40:17Speaker 1: and you're not going to fight that woman, bro. The
- 40:19Speaker 1: Spirit employee has been suspended. Okay, so how did you
- 40:24Speaker 1: get what did you guy? What was your take? On
- 40:26Speaker 1: this situation. At the end of the day, you cannot
- 40:28Speaker 1: hit the lady. You got to walk away. You you
- 40:31Speaker 1: you're a man, you way strong, good, it's just you
- 40:35Speaker 1: know where I come from. You just don't hit no lady.
- 40:37Speaker 1: So you got to walk away, bro, what regardless of
- 40:39Speaker 1: what she's saying. If you walk away long far enough,
- 40:41Speaker 1: guess what, you can't hear what she's saying. Get away
- 40:43Speaker 1: from him? Yeah, get away from her now. She especially
- 40:46Speaker 1: if someone representing the area, probably was wrong. I'm sure
- 40:50Speaker 1: it was wrong. She was in space. She called the
- 40:53Speaker 1: N word, she was nword. Yeah, she should have walked away.
- 40:57Speaker 1: He should have walked away. So now it all escalate.
- 41:01Speaker 1: You just got learning. Yeah, you know those kind of
- 41:04Speaker 1: ignorant people. You gotta can not put your hands on
- 41:07Speaker 1: You can't do it. I will find another female to
- 41:11Speaker 1: come over there and how let you though, I will
- 41:13Speaker 1: find that. That's I will find that if I get
- 41:16Speaker 1: to cooking, if I get to Junior's sister, oh, it's
- 41:21Speaker 1: got that she'll be should take it. The whole situation
- 41:24Speaker 1: wet me. Did you got to walk away? I was
- 41:28Speaker 1: surprised that he was just suspended though the employee and
- 41:32Speaker 1: and not fired. Ye, well, I mean you gotta look
- 41:36Speaker 1: at she did. She did hit the guy in his face. Yeah,
- 41:39Speaker 1: he was provoked, for sure, he was provoked, yes, but
- 41:43Speaker 1: he just got He just didn't handle hands on her
- 41:47Speaker 1: though that seemed to be a problem. It's a basic
- 41:51Speaker 1: principle not to put your hands on a woman. Man.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I just I don't care you did. What What can't
- 41:56Speaker 1: she really do to me? How hard was slap? How hard?
- 41:59Speaker 1: But junior, I don't know how old he was. But
- 42:02Speaker 1: you know, it's different now, it's different now, it's really different.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's different. You guys were raised a certain way. It's
- 42:09Speaker 1: not like that, um now isn't. But couldn't he have
- 42:14Speaker 1: called security? If she called and she put her hands
- 42:19Speaker 1: on him? Then she should band from flying because you
- 42:25Speaker 1: hit a federal employer, I mean a person that works
- 42:28Speaker 1: at an airline in a federal building. What I'm saying, so, yeah,
- 42:32Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely, then she should be something should happen to
- 42:37Speaker 1: her as well as Oh for sure assault? How about
- 42:42Speaker 1: that for starters? Yea, when you at work, when you
- 42:46Speaker 1: at work, period, man, you got to have a certain
- 42:47Speaker 1: type of temperament, you know what I mean from temperament now,
- 42:51Speaker 1: but at the same time, no one has a right
- 42:53Speaker 1: to put their hands on you while you're right right.
- 42:56Speaker 1: That might be why he's only suspended. That might be
- 42:59Speaker 1: only Yeah, you shouldn't have to put up with that either.
- 43:03Speaker 1: He went one thing, my man went off, I know
- 43:06Speaker 1: one thing called going that dough. Y'all all go in
- 43:09Speaker 1: with that code. When y'all come out that doughe, it
- 43:11Speaker 1: ain't never good. Y'all come back. You did that dough
- 43:14Speaker 1: with the code on it. You pressed up six digits.
- 43:16Speaker 1: You come out of that doughe. Somebody coming and throwing
- 43:19Speaker 1: you out this apple. That's all he has to do,
- 43:21Speaker 1: throwing that doughe and get your help. You know. Yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 1: ain't got to fight. I ain't never been in that
- 43:26Speaker 1: dough either is dough. But when they come out that dough,
- 43:33Speaker 1: everything in that dope, out of the security officers back
- 43:36Speaker 1: there in that doughe gate attendance in that doughe, it's
- 43:39Speaker 1: a beating in that dope. Y'all feel about the two
- 43:42Speaker 1: brothers at the end of the video on that a
- 43:44Speaker 1: was about to fight. Yeah, people were mad at them,
- 43:49Speaker 1: saying what he had jumped in if it had been
- 43:52Speaker 1: a black woman, you know, that's what a lot of
- 43:54Speaker 1: people were saying online as well. Yeah, hopefully you just
- 43:58Speaker 1: jump in and stop any fight. Anybody an shut it down? Yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: all right, guys, coming up next to nephew and the
- 44:09Speaker 1: prank phone call right after this, you're listening to show
- 44:16Speaker 1: coming up at about four minutes after the hour. It's
- 44:18Speaker 1: my Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is can
- 44:22Speaker 1: I change his mindset? Here we go again, can I
- 44:25Speaker 1: change its mindset? Always trying to change somebody? All right,
- 44:30Speaker 1: we'll get into that in just a bit, but right now,
- 44:33Speaker 1: the nephew is here for the prank phone call? What
- 44:36Speaker 1: you got for us? Now? Surely I'm coming off vacation.

- 44:42Speaker 1: been doing I have not had time to be stupid.
- 44:45Speaker 1: It has just it dawned on me. I said, I've
- 44:48Speaker 1: not been stupid. And about a week this has really
- 44:51Speaker 1: bothered me. So, you know, back in the saddle and
- 44:54Speaker 1: just you know, trying to just regroup and get my
- 44:57Speaker 1: stupid back up because it's really been put on again. Yeah,

- 53:59Speaker 1: it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter thanking a
- 54:03Speaker 1: you subject. Can I change his mindset? Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:08Speaker 1: I've been dating a man for six years and we
- 54:10Speaker 1: live with his parents in a two bedroom house. We
- 54:13Speaker 1: had to move in with them in twenty twenty after
- 54:16Speaker 1: he lost his job. I don't have any family in
- 54:18Speaker 1: this town, so I agreed to stay there temporarily. But
- 54:22Speaker 1: he just started working four months ago. He couldn't find
- 54:25Speaker 1: a job in his field for a long time, so
- 54:27Speaker 1: I was relieved when he started working full time because
- 54:31Speaker 1: I thought he would finally get our own place. Their
- 54:35Speaker 1: house is small and our bedroom is directly across from
- 54:38Speaker 1: his parents' bedroom. His mom uses the dining chair as
- 54:43Speaker 1: the dining room excuse me as her sewing room, and
- 54:45Speaker 1: that's where she smokes her cigarettes, and you can smell
- 54:48Speaker 1: the smoke all over the house. It's a madhouse. They're
- 54:53Speaker 1: in their room having sex and we're in our room
- 54:55Speaker 1: having sex in our full sized bed. There is one
- 54:58Speaker 1: bathroom and the shower or does not work, so we
- 55:01Speaker 1: all have to take bath. This is sheer torture for me.
- 55:05Speaker 1: But I love this man. I often asked myself, why
- 55:10Speaker 1: do I put up with this. I'm twenty nine and
- 55:13Speaker 1: can do better. I can find a man with his
- 55:15Speaker 1: own place, a great job, and sane parents. I have
- 55:18Speaker 1: invested six years into this and I want him to
- 55:21Speaker 1: stop being complacent and get us out of here. He's
- 55:24Speaker 1: happy with the home cooked meals, watching movies with his parents,
- 55:28Speaker 1: holidays with them, etc. But I want out. My mother
- 55:32Speaker 1: came to visit me and she got a hotel room.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I stayed with her for two nights and it was
- 55:37Speaker 1: nice to take a shower, have a bed to myself,
- 55:40Speaker 1: and not have to talk to his mother. My mother
- 55:43Speaker 1: told me to be patient with him and things will
- 55:46Speaker 1: work out. Should I move out and break up with him?
- 55:48Speaker 1: Or should I follow my mother's advice? Can I change
- 55:51Speaker 1: his mindset? Or is he too far gone. Please advise
- 55:58Speaker 1: you guys have been living with his parents are long enough?
- 56:01Speaker 1: And do you want to die from secondhand smoke? I mean, really,
- 56:05Speaker 1: that's kind of what this is coming down to. There's
- 56:08Speaker 1: so many things wrong with this letter that we don't
- 56:12Speaker 1: really have the time to go into it. We really
- 56:15Speaker 1: really don't. The thing about it is is I don't
- 56:21Speaker 1: know why you have him. Figured this out on your own.
- 56:24Speaker 1: You can't continue to stay here. This was supposed to
- 56:26Speaker 1: be a temporary situation until he got a new job.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Thank god he's working again. Now after six years with him,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you're going backwards. He's becoming very comfortable, too comfortable with
- 56:38Speaker 1: mom and dad watching movies and the home cooked meals
- 56:41Speaker 1: and all that. You've been with him six years. He
- 56:43Speaker 1: hasn't even proposed to you, and you know you can't
- 56:47Speaker 1: change him. You can't change his mindset. He'll only change
- 56:50Speaker 1: if he wants to change for you, and so far
- 56:53Speaker 1: that hasn't happened. When I finished reading this letter, initially
- 56:57Speaker 1: I had to go back up to the top line
- 57:00Speaker 1: because I wanted to make sure you said that you
- 57:03Speaker 1: know you were not married and you were just dating him.
- 57:06Speaker 1: You're just dating him, You've just been dating him for
- 57:08Speaker 1: six years? Any plans for the future, do you guys
- 57:11Speaker 1: talk about it? Are you just content being with him
- 57:14Speaker 1: for another ten years? Six years? I think you should
- 57:17Speaker 1: get your own apartment by yourself. Let him stay with
- 57:20Speaker 1: his parents, since he's loving it there so much. If
- 57:23Speaker 1: there's any hope of you, guys ever being together, you
- 57:26Speaker 1: being gone should help him make up his mind. If
- 57:30Speaker 1: this is not what you want, why are you putting
- 57:32Speaker 1: up with it? You even ask yourself that again, you
- 57:35Speaker 1: need to find an apartment and move out today, Tommy,
- 57:40Speaker 1: what you got? Can I change his mindset? That's the question? Now,
- 57:47Speaker 1: my question to you is the problem is change your
- 57:51Speaker 1: own mindset? That seemed to be the problem. So you're
- 57:54Speaker 1: worried about his mindset. I'm worried. I'm concerned with your
- 57:58Speaker 1: mindset because you're the one and set your mind on
- 58:01Speaker 1: doing this, this, this and that and here's what I
- 58:03Speaker 1: what I really don't like that I'm here? What I'm
- 58:05Speaker 1: not here? Where's your job? Why are you not working?
- 58:10Speaker 1: Why are you not taking care of at least yourself?
- 58:13Speaker 1: And so you dependent on him? Now you up in
- 58:15Speaker 1: his ragged ass house with his mom and his dadd
- 58:18Speaker 1: All this this, this got to be the worst sex
- 58:20Speaker 1: in the world across the hall from somebody to mom
- 58:22Speaker 1: and dadd and this got to be straight ignorant. Okay,
- 58:26Speaker 1: that's who want to do that? I can't. I can't
- 58:28Speaker 1: hill to be here my mama. That's my mama over
- 58:34Speaker 1: there hill like that. I can't. I'm sorry. I just
- 58:37Speaker 1: can't hand that kind of sex my mama over that
- 58:39Speaker 1: highland while I mean you over here, Holland, that just
- 58:41Speaker 1: don't work for me. Let's change your mindset. So basically,
- 58:44Speaker 1: you went about your relationship completely wrong. You moved in
- 58:47Speaker 1: and moved in with him, all right, that didn't work.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Uh so y'all lost different thing. Now you didn't moved
- 58:52Speaker 1: in with him and his mom. Y'all not married. Everything
- 58:54Speaker 1: you've done is completely out of order. So you need
- 58:58Speaker 1: to get yourself together, won't you, Like Shirley saying, get
- 59:01Speaker 1: your own apartment. But let's get you a job. I
- 59:03Speaker 1: don't hear that you have a job. You need a job.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Get you a job so you can take care of you.
- 59:09Speaker 1: You're twenty something years old, so anybody in there twenties,
- 59:13Speaker 1: I'm big on this. Be able to take care of
- 59:15Speaker 1: yourself first. Then we can figure out what we're doing
- 59:19Speaker 1: and how we move forward. But right now I'm dealing
- 59:21Speaker 1: with your mindset. I think it's your mind that we
- 59:24Speaker 1: need to be talking about. If he is who the
- 59:26Speaker 1: way he is, and he's like the way he is,
- 59:27Speaker 1: so be it. Get your mindset together, and then you'll
- 59:30Speaker 1: find you a man that's good and got the mindset
- 59:33Speaker 1: that you want him to have. That's right, that's right.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Why are we all always trying to change these men?
- 59:42Speaker 1: Why are we doing it? It's not gonna happen. They
- 59:45Speaker 1: do it on their own. Six years. Oh here, mama,
- 59:49Speaker 1: holla and go at it with Daddy, and then mama
- 59:52Speaker 1: now smoking and making cloe? What kind of closes you?
- 59:54Speaker 1: What did you sew in? What is you making in
- 59:57Speaker 1: this damn room? And everything you make it? This? Here?
- 59:59Speaker 1: I may a jumpsuit? Oh damn, Thank smell like Ben's
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: in the head mentor like one hundred in the soft pack.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I don't want that. That's a salt pack. All right?
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: All right, hold on, we're gonna hear from Junior coming
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: up with part two of the Strawberry Letter for Today
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour. The subject is
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: can I change his mindsets. We'll get back. Oh, mama, daddy,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: you're listening Harvey Morning Show. All right, we got a
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is can I change
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: his mindset? Twenty nine year old woman wrote this letter.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: She is in a relationship with a man that she's
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: been dating. They've been together for six years. He lost
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: his job. They had to move in with his parents
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: in their two bedroom house. This happened back in twenty twenty.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Her boyfriend lost his job. He's back working now, so
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: she's thinking that, you know, since he's back working, they're
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: getting ready to move out and move into their own place.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Not the situation, Not the case here at all. The
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: boyfriend is loving living with his parents. Why because he's
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: getting home cooked meals, he gets to watch movies with
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: his parents. It's been holidays with them. But she wants out.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: She's depending on this man to get them a house,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: to move them out, to do all these things. They
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: live in this house. The shower is broken in the bathroom.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: They have one bathroom. They all have to take baths
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and this one bath The mom is a seamstress. She
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: sews in the dining room. She smokes all over the house.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It's just a mess. She's miserable in this place. But
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: she's looking to her man, trying to change his mind
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to get him out of there, and that's not happening.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: She says she can do better, but she's not. That's
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: basically the gist of the letter. Her mom came to
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: visit her. She stayed with her mom in a hotel,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: got her own shower, her own bed. She liked that,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: but her mother told her not to break up with
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the man and to give it a little more time,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: be patient, and things will work out. What she wants
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to know is can she change his mindset or is
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: he too far gone? Junior? What say you? What you got? Junior?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I've seen these houses with these two bedrooms, wasn't bathroom?
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I know what this house set up looks like. I've
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: been in there. I know what this is. First of all,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I ain't they have a sex and they house. That's fine.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: But the problem I see how you took a shower.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: It over two years, your crazy look sitting your ass
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: and that little last tub and that bath room, put
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: your knees in your chests, trying to wipe yourself down.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: It's all y'all in here bathing. I know what this
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: looks like. You in here crying because you know that
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: shower head is rusted and it ain't working. I know
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: you tired of this. You ought to be tired of
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a lot of things, changing mindsets. You need to change locations.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: It's what you don't care. What you need to do.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: If you get you a better man with his own place,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: go out there, get here them because you don't have
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: to hit this. Aren't you tired of these old lass
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: conversations with his mama without a cigarette, hanging out on
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: sitting up there? Man about this? You know? And I
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: when I first met Clidis Johnson it was nineteen forty five. Yeah,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you gotta be tired of these old lass conversations. Do
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you just stat that window that's over that kitchen's sake
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and just hold for a better future with that Curtin
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: rod All? It ain't you tired of looking up there
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: on that wall and seeing King and Kennedy just hanging
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: up there because he wouldn't the little lass house. I
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: know you got to be tired of this. How many
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: times you're watching good times and you living in good times?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: How you watching this going them? How is you doing this.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: How is you in here with his parents? How long
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: is you was sitting there with his mama watching Lady
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Sings the Blue, watching Lady Sings the Blue with him
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: mama and daddy, and they just rubbing their feet together
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: on end of that couch. And these cigarettes won't stop.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Ain't you tiling that that ass tray with twenty two
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: butts in it? Just sitting up there on the town.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: You got to be tired of this? Can you change
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: your location? It's what I'm saying. Can you just change
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: your location? Do you have any money for a studio
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: with a working shower, just a studio? Just can you
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: just give it? At even heard the word astray as
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the scene one. But she's slowing and stacking them up,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and then they got the nerve to be over there
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: just across the hall. Give it it all, Give it
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: it all across the hall, and you just got the dirt.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: You couldn't touch me, so were across the hall, having
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: six You couldn't touch me in this house. Ain't you
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: tired of that quilp that she saw that you sleep on. Yeah,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: that quill that you're sleeping on. You got to be
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: tired of that quill? Oh, now, change that stell like smoke,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: like time, and said everything she's slowing smelling like smoke.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: You gotta be tired of talking to the postman every
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: day because they're coming right up to the bell box
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and you're everybody saying, how you doing? Mister Williams? You
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: know you know, mister Williams, why don't you just get
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: out here? Forget mindset change your location shirt? That's all
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: I got. Fuck, you ain't got to take this. I
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: didn't like my mama the town every weekend so I
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: could shower up show. But you know what, you know
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: what Mama told her to stay m something? What's so
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: crazy about this? Ain't you tired of pulling them tires out?
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: That candy in that bathroom with them broken shelves and
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: the dish rag you bathing with it? How you do this?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: How could you do that? All the holes in the rag,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the tiles got rag. You ought to be tired loo
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: at the hot water about on the back of that door,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: and that bad y'all tired looking That moon moves, thee
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: moon moving everywhere every day she got a brand new
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: moon moved. You ought to be tired of seeing. No,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: just don't make no sense. I can't do this. No, no,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: don't call ask us. You're too grown. You're twenty nine,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: you're twenty four people using one tallet. People go, oh, man,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I know walked everybody. Don't lock that doing it bath
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: from I know you've walked in and then seeing his
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: mama was sitting on that toilet. I know you've seen that.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: I know what you need. Now, baby girl, don't baby
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: girl me put your clothes off. She's she's twenty nine

- 1:07:50Speaker 1: gonna miss her though, because she brought so much to
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the sport. I mean, looking at all the people that
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: she's influenced, all these young black tennis. She's still baby,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: She's still grand slams girl. Is not mad at you.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Gonna sit down and do something. Mess coach be a
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: commentator makes some more money elsewhere. You still got it?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Dream she is? She is a legend. Yeah, I give it.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I give you the eight to ten years. That little
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: girl gonna be playing. You're watching sex her daughter by Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: her daughter. I think her daughter will be out there
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: also last week, man, we gotta talk about it. Did
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: y'all see Marshawn Lynch? You get a d U? Did
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: y'all's hear? Man? Yeah? Man? But beast mold the only
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: skittles in bananas? No, man, but but but my whole
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: thing is why you don't have a drive dollar? Yah? Yeah,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: you know, why are you gonna drive? I don't like
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: seeing Marshawn. Marshawn got some great commercials. I know that.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Every time I see a commercial, I go get it.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Whatever he said, yeah, somebody whatever whatever he's in. And
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: also we did talk about this earlier to Shaun Watson
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: didn't make an apology Friday about to all the women
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: who were involved in the sex scandal, miss Coompany. He
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: did make an apology. Let me ask all this about
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: their apology. Did you feel it was authentic or were
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: just like he's saying it to save face. How do
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: you look at this did we view this as this
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: was genuine? Well, I mean, how can you judge someone
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: within their heart? You know, I mean, because you had
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: all this other time to apologize. Yeah, I'm looking at
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: all the time that went by and you had time
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: to apologize, and then all Friday, all of a sudden
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: after the ruling, now you want to apologize. I thought
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: you should have just apologized when you got in Trump
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: in the first place. You think in the timing of
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the apologize, I mean he apologized maybe, and um, I
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: don't know. We'll see what the NFL what the commissioner.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: The commissioners suspended for the entire Sea High season, So
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: for size, maybe he thought it would have meant guilt
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: if he apologized initially or something, you know, just to
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: be fair. He's suspended for six games and he can
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: play in the preseason. He just can't play in the
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: season open for six games. So we see gonna turn out. Man,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: I just had a question back. That's all all right, junior,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: thank you coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: What are some of your fondest memories of school. We'll
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: get into that right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: all right, So school is already back in session for
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: a lot of students and parents are happy and very
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: very relieved. Think back to your first day of school,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and I think back now, was it stressful for you
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: or were you always ready to go back to school
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: after a nice summer break? What was your favorite subject
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: in school? All of these things. I mean, it makes
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: you think about that when when when August and September
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: get here. How old were you when you had your
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: first crush on someone? That's another good question. And what
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: sports or activities did you participate in? Were you excited
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: about the first day? I always was, you know what?
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: The first day to me was always about it. Depending
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: on what grade we talk like that ninth grade that
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: is grueling. I didn't like that ninth grade being a freshman,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: because you're a freshman at the high school. All of
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: this is new. Yeah, you're a freshman, you know, you
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: just you just left eighth grade where you was the bomb,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: you know, the man, the man. Now you're starting at
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: the bottom of the totem pole. And here we are
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: ninth grade all the way to twelve. Oh my god.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: And back when I was in school upper classman, I
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: wouldn't say hayes, but they would give a freshman a
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: hard time. Oh yeah, fish, what's happening? Yeah, they go
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: give it to you. They gonna give it to you.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: If that's the same case. My daughter's gonna be a
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: freshman this year, so oh is she? Huh? Josha can
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: handle herself. I'm pretty sure. Yeah, don't forget who her
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: mama is. Okay, and my daddy's girl right there and
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: then defend. And Carlin Junior can attest it. Man. The
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: first day of college, you know, just going off to school,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: that was like, whoa, I don't know what. I'm scared
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: as all get out, man on your own, waving you
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: away from home? This is yeah, what about your first
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: crush at school? What? What? How were you when you
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: had your first crush? Five? Five? So as I walk,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I said, our backpacking last she got it all together, like, huh,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you started way too color with you. I'm coloring with you.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: You canna help me stay in the line. But film
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: sixth grade? Oh my god, yeah, sixth grade Regina Pringle, God,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Regina Regina Pringle called guy. You couldn't tell me nothingbody
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Springle like the chips spring Yeah. I couldn't even make
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: eye contact with I also scared. Look at that girl.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I was like, same way I am with Haighlet today.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: That's the same level, same same level. Boy, that's Regina
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Pringle on that level. Boy, you got the high school
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: you had to crush on the girl Rember. Remember used
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: to carry her books. Yeah, that was big dog. If
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: everybody knew if you was carrying her books, they knew
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: what that meant. Yeah yeah, huh oh yeah, no, you
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: knew you with somebody when you when you and your
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: girl shared a locker together. Oh my god. And then
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: y'all break up. Get your stuff out my locker, right, yeah,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I'm friend to get I'm friend to get the janitor
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: to change my damn called because I want you in
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: my locker. Man, is that what you were trying? Yeah?
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: What about sports? I know you guys were into sports.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was that was the fun part. That
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: was easy. Yeah, that was easy. Going to practice to
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: foll school and you going to practice school. The problem
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I ran track? My problem my head was I had
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: was we we we had like he said, we had
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: track crackers before school started, But it was that shower
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: shower after. I didn't like that part. It's just what Yeah,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: but I wanted to be clean, but it was I
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: wasn't used to taking no shower with no thirty part people,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: and there I was like, I'm gonna wait late. I'm
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: gonna be late every morning from my first class. I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: gotta wait for y'all to clear out of here. All right, guys,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: coming up next to about twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: we'll have more of a seed privatly morning show right
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: after this. You're listening too well. The city of Vincent, Alabama,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: voted to disband its police department following racist texts between officers.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: The police chief and assistant police chief allegedly texted jokes
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: about a pregnant slave to other officers. Here's a joke.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Get this. What do you call a pregnant slave? This
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: is what they were texting. What do you call a
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: pregnant slave? An unidentified officer responded, bogo bogo, bogo, buy one,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: get one free. Wow what? The text surfaced on social media,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: and the mayor of the city issued a statement that
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: appropriate action has been taken, meaning that the entire I
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: mean the entire police department has been fired. The Alabama
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Sheriff's Office will now respond to emergency calls in that area.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Thank you very much. Love it. I love it. Thank you.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: They fired everybody. Okay, but we've been talking about and
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: the police officers and police departments forever for a very
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: very long time. Finally someone's doing something. Yeah. It's just
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: sad that we don't know which ones we can trust.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: That's sad part about it. Man. We have no earthly
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: idea which was trust. Yeah, I'm glad you said that,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: because there are good police. There's a lot of good ones.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: They really are very much relatives of the police officers. Yeah. Man,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: when you don't know who's good and who's not good,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: many a police officers. Yeah, so when you get pulled
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: over it's fifty fifty, you don't know what's going to happen.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: All right, I'm moving on. We'll have more of a
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll play around would you rather? Right
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: after this you're listening to all right, guys, it is
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: time for would you rather? For today? Would you rather
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: win a million dollars and lose all your friends? Or
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: would you rather win fifty k and keep your friends?
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I'm meant to hell with them? Damn friends, give me
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: this million dollars, I get some new friends, because because
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: when I get this million, I don't want them old
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: friends asking me for nothing. No, damn way, I rather
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: picking two who I rode with? I want the million
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: into hell. Well, I ain't got the phone noway, So
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: what we're doing? Okay? I think we're all in agreement
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: with that. What's a little fifty and is still over
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: here with the ragged Why am I doing that? Fifty? K?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: That's it? Good? Good now? But yeah, junior millions, I'm
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: a million. I'm losing all my friend, matter of fact,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: starting I'm gonna stop knowing as soon as I get
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: to check, I'm right away. I thought you're gonna say,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you're gonna start with us now, y'all family that don't count,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: That don't count? All right? Would you rather have varied
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: to think about this? Think about this before you answer.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Would you rather have very skinny legs or a very
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: long neck? I'm gonna take the ones. When the Williams
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: gat oh the leg, long leg, he got some long
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: skinny legs, I'm taking me. I can't, no, I can't,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: but they are long. No, No, I don't want no
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: long nick. Though, that's not that's that's not good. I
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: don't look good with the nick I got now. I
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: don't know why I want a long one. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: a long neck then my turtle nick don't really look
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: like a turtle nick. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: like a regular, regular shirt right here? All right? Moving on?
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Would you rather have a pet hamster or a pet tarantula?
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: One of them? The man, I don't want to rodent.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I want hamster. Sorry, hems ain't number a cute ass
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: name for a red I hate that. That's at that
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: gives me the creeps right there. Yah, I don't like
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: bugs because if you look over there in that tank
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: and you don't see that tarantula in the hen't we out?
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: We out? It's some stuff that'll make you leave your house.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: You out? Yeah, So you're taking a cute rat over
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: the over the better. He better enjoy that wheel because
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: he ain't gonna get out of there. He ain't never
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: coming out of there, all right. Would you rather have
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: the ability to read your mate's mind or would you
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: rather have the ability or would you rather your mate
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: have the ability to read yours? So you want to
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: read hers? You want her to read. You don't want
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: to read this line a whole lot. You don't want
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: to know what you got in there that she can't read.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: What everything ever? Over there? Just time? He don't like
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: me today? All right, coming up, it is our last
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: break of the day and we'll close out the show
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening all right? Here we are
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: last break of the day. Uh, thank you all for
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: listening as always. Steve, come on and take us home
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: with your closing remarks to day. I have some really
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: really good information. I'm really really pleased with this line
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: of thinking because everybody has them, everybody has to deal
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: with them, everybody faces it. It's just so many people
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: lose the point of it. You know, the thing about
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: going through something, I think you can go through something
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: better if you know there's a point to it, you
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: know what I mean. People go to the gym to
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: work out if they're trying to get to a certain point.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: The moment you don't see the point of it, going
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to the gym becomes ridiculous to you. It becomes harder
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: to you because all of a sudden it doesn't make sense.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: So what I want to show you is how to
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: look at the point of something. And the thing that
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I'm going to talk to you about is something that
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: everybody faces when they're trying to be successful, because everybody
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: is going to go through some difficult times. Everybody, I
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: don't care who you are, You're going to have some
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: difficult times. Everybody is going to have some challenges, challenges, difficulties, setbacks.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: You're going to have this. But listen to me, all
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: of this is part of the process to succeed. When
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: you are presented with these setbacks, these difficulties, and these challenges,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: I want you to understand what they actually are. They
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: are actually test. Everybody gets tested. The reason you have
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: to have the test is because tests are presented to
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: you to see if you're willing to go through the process.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: It's merely just to see if you're willing to go
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: through what it takes. The challenges, the setbacks, the difficulties.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: The test are just there to see if you are
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: willing to go through the process. Now, in being willing
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: to go through the process, it assures you something that
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: when you pass the test and you reach your goal,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: that you will have a level of appreciation for it.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: I'll give you an example. Somebody use your card. I
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: don't recommend that they're not gonna take care of your
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: card or where you do, because they didn't pay for it.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: They're not making a note on it. They didn't have
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: to struggle to get the down payment. They didn't have
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to make sure their credit was right. They didn't walk
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: in the bank and get turned down a couple of times,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: then go back and fix their credit. Now they got up.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: That's why if you rent out your room to somebody,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: they're not gonna take care of your room like you
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: take care of your house, because they didn't go through
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: the process to get it. All they wanted was the
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: room because they didn't have to fill out the credit report.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: They didn't go down here. They don't have the mortgage.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: They don't know what it took to have to own
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: this house. That's why they didn't take care of their yard,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: because they've written some people who writ don't take care
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: of the property because it ain't theirs. Now that's not
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: all renters. I'm just talking about the case of something.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Because when you go through the test, it causes you
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: to have an appreciation for now the test are necessary.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: The test teaches you things. The test provides you with
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: a lesson. Tests are merely lessons. You're gonna see these
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: tests again, and when you see them again, they won't appear.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: Is it nearly as difficult because you've already taken the
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: tests before and you've already passed it. The test also
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: strengthens you. All these tests you haven't. It's strengthens you.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: It's like lifting weights. Oh it's heavy right now. If
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: you put them fifties in your hand, that's heavy weight.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: But if you keep lifting fifties after a while, you
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: can lift seventies, but them fifties. But guess what them
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: fifties did. That was so hard that you felt like
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: dropping and you needed a spotter. They made you stronger.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Though the tests make you stronger, the next thing that
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: the test does for you is it makes you experienced.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Because now that you have these tests under your belt,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: you know something you can turn around and share with
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: people how to get past the tests because you've seen
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: them before. This is the reason that you have challenges, setbacks,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: and difficult because you are being tested. So when God
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: gives you the thing that you're asking for, you will
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: have a level of appreciation for it. You will have
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: learned the lessons that it takes to maintain it. You
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: will have been strengthened by the process, and you will
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: become experienced by the process. Here is the last and
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: main thing that the test does for you, These tests
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: that they're presented to you. Old people have said it
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: a thousand times. You cannot have a testimony without the test.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: How can you share this experience with anybody? How do
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: you tell a young person what to do if you
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: ain't been through nothing. How can you teach me how
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: to play golf and you don't play golf? It's impossible.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: You can't be the swim coach and you can't swim.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry you can't. You got to have gone through
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: the process. It's the process and the test that gets
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: you to the point. But you can't have a testimony
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: without a test. You'll have nothing to say in your life.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: If you've never passed any tests, you will have no
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: story to tell. So all of you that are being tested,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: you're working on your story. Now. What story will you
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: tell your children? What story will you tell your grandchildren?
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: What story will you tell young people who need minering?
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: What story will you tell people who may look up
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: to you and they think you got something. What story
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: will you tell. You've got to be tested to make
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: it happen. Pass the test, Deal with them and you'll
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: be fine. Those are my closing contests. No purchase necessary,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: void ware prohibited. Participants must be legal US residents at
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: least eighteen years old, unless otherwise stated. For complete contest rules,
