- 1:43Speaker 4: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn the mo
- 1:55Speaker 4: come come out.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:08Speaker 6: dig me now. One and only Steve Harley got a
- 2:11Speaker 6: radio show. This one today I want to share with
- 2:15Speaker 6: you is for all of us, and here it is.
- 2:22Speaker 6: There is a solution to all of your problems in situations.
- 2:30Speaker 6: If you don't know what your next move is.
- 2:33Speaker 2: That's a go. I don't care what it is.
- 2:36Speaker 6: If the relationship you're in is all wrong and you
- 2:41Speaker 6: don't know how to get out of it, it doesn't matter.
- 2:45Speaker 6: There is a solution to all your problems and situations.
- 2:51Speaker 6: That solution to all your problems, that way to make
- 2:54Speaker 6: all your dreams come true.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The way around a lot of this.
- 2:59Speaker 6: And to the weakness that you feel at times is prayer, prayer,
- 3:06Speaker 6: a connection with your creator.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Could that be the thing that's missing in your life?
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm just asking.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Because whenever I get a little bit off track, all
- 3:20Speaker 6: I gotta do is think, just a moment, Steve, have
- 3:25Speaker 6: you been praying?
- 3:26Speaker 2: Man?
- 3:26Speaker 6: Have you been connecting with your creator? I know you're busy, man,
- 3:31Speaker 6: I know you're busy, and I know at the end
- 3:33Speaker 6: of the day you're done. You're done, and sometimes crawling
- 3:37Speaker 6: into bed is all you can manage to do.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I've said this, it happened to me last night. Again.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I did all of this. But when I look and
- 3:48Speaker 2: when I.
- 3:48Speaker 6: See things not moving, or I don't feel like things
- 3:53Speaker 6: are going in the right direction, or I have a
- 3:55Speaker 6: sense of being stagnant, all I got to do is
- 3:58Speaker 6: retrace it. Because I'm working. There's no doubt about that.
- 4:02Speaker 6: I'm working. But I am I staying connected? Am I
- 4:07Speaker 6: using that weapon that's available to all of us?
- 4:10Speaker 2: And I pray? And the answer is usually no?
- 4:14Speaker 6: And so I know, okay, okay, man, I'm getting off
- 4:17Speaker 6: track here, because see, let me tell you something, man.
- 4:20Speaker 6: The reason I constantly talk to God is because life
- 4:25Speaker 6: constantly changes.
- 4:27Speaker 2: People who said they was going to do something for
- 4:29Speaker 2: you one day have changed their mind the next.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Somebody you thought was going to show up that day
- 4:36Speaker 6: called in late, had an accident and couldn't make it.
- 4:40Speaker 6: That changes the parameters of everything. The meeting you had
- 4:44Speaker 6: set up that had to be canceled because somebody was ill.
- 4:48Speaker 6: That changes the parameters the time frame of everything, because
- 4:53Speaker 6: it's all connected. So if I don't stay in constant
- 4:56Speaker 6: prayer and stay connected to the creative when this things happen,
- 5:01Speaker 6: I've not put in my bed, I've not talked to
- 5:04Speaker 6: him about how to handle it, or I'm just not
- 5:07Speaker 6: aware of it and what to do next. And the
- 5:09Speaker 6: next thing you know, it becomes a little stagnant. That
- 5:12Speaker 6: has happened to me. I gotta get back because prayer
- 5:17Speaker 6: is the solution to all of my problems and situations.
- 5:21Speaker 6: I have found that to be the case now. The
- 5:24Speaker 6: only reason I'm telling it to you is because I
- 5:26Speaker 6: know if you anything like me slash human being, then
- 5:31Speaker 6: there are times that you feel anxious.
- 5:34Speaker 2: There's moments of desperation. You have moments of uncertainty.
- 5:39Speaker 6: There are times when you feel like you've lost your way,
- 5:44Speaker 6: or your purpose is a little blurred. You're not sure anymore,
- 5:49Speaker 6: or you don't know what your next move is, or
- 5:51Speaker 6: the relationship you in or the relationships you dabbling in.
- 5:55Speaker 2: They're just all wrong for you.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Man, there is a solution to all your problems and
- 6:02Speaker 6: situations and his prayer.
- 6:05Speaker 2: If you're suffering.
- 6:06Speaker 6: From any of the things I just listed, or any
- 6:09Speaker 6: other thing you could think of, just check your prayer.
- 6:12Speaker 2: What has your prayer been lately? About it? And this
- 6:16Speaker 2: is for everybody.
- 6:18Speaker 6: I often find when I get that disconnection man, my
- 6:23Speaker 6: prayer and slipped off, I started feeling a little bit less,
- 6:27Speaker 6: so I got to jump back on it. I'm just
- 6:29Speaker 6: offering you a solution to it, man, and and and
- 6:33Speaker 6: I'm giving you a solution that works one thousand percent.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Fust show. See, I ain't guessing.
- 6:39Speaker 6: At this one. I'm telling you what has happened in
- 6:42Speaker 6: my life, how I did it, and it'll do for you.
- 6:46Speaker 6: God is filled with mercy and grace. He knows we
- 6:50Speaker 6: all messed up. He knows all of us have done
- 6:53Speaker 6: some jacked up things that don't nobody know about. He
- 6:56Speaker 6: knows all about our past. Man, he knows all of that.
- 7:01Speaker 6: But He is so full of grace and mercy, so
- 7:04Speaker 6: full of fifty to fifty chances. But you know the
- 7:07Speaker 6: thing about your life, though, and the thing I had
- 7:10Speaker 6: to come to terms with and the reason I don't
- 7:13Speaker 6: let out of the reason I don't let my past
- 7:15Speaker 6: bury me, the reason I don't let my past define
- 7:18Speaker 6: me is because my past I found out.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Or just the ingredients needed for me to make this
- 7:31Speaker 2: cake I'm eating now. My past is just my ingredients. See,
- 7:37Speaker 2: you don't get rid of your past. They ain't They
- 7:41Speaker 2: ain't gone nowhere. They are the ingredients.
- 7:43Speaker 6: But when you put them with something else, they look better,
- 7:46Speaker 6: they taste better, it is better.
- 7:50Speaker 2: All of our pasts are just the ingredients that have
- 7:54Speaker 2: become the cake we eating now.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Now, if you don't like the way your cake taste,
- 7:58Speaker 6: then you gotta start putting some other ingredient in that.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Just because you started off and your cake was messed
- 8:04Speaker 6: up don't mean you can't straighten out the flavor your cake.
- 8:07Speaker 2: You gotta put some different ingredients in there. So let's
- 8:12Speaker 2: say your.
- 8:12Speaker 6: Cake is trifling tasted, it's bitter. Your cake is bitter, Well,
- 8:17Speaker 6: you got to dilute the bitterness. You gotta put some
- 8:19Speaker 6: more goodness in there. So you got to put some
- 8:22Speaker 6: goodness ingredients to take away.
- 8:25Speaker 2: The taste of the bitterness.
- 8:28Speaker 6: So you got to put some different ingredients in there,
- 8:30Speaker 6: you gotta start living your life a little more kindly,
- 8:33Speaker 6: a little more thoughtful, a little more sharing, a little
- 8:36Speaker 6: more caring. And then after a while, man, those new
- 8:40Speaker 6: ingredients combined with that bitter it starts overshadowing the bitter
- 8:43Speaker 6: taste because the bitter taste is further behind you. Now
- 8:47Speaker 6: see something that happened to you twelve, fifteen, thirty, twenty five,
- 8:52Speaker 6: sixteen years ago. Ain't got to be the flavor that's
- 8:55Speaker 6: in your mouth now unless you let it be.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's the ingredients.
- 9:01Speaker 7: Man.
- 9:02Speaker 2: If you sink it.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Away your cake taste and change your ingredients, put something
- 9:07Speaker 6: else in your cake mix so you can get a
- 9:10Speaker 6: better taste. If you don't like the way your life tastes. Pray,
- 9:16Speaker 6: I've been here, my mama said for years. Boy, prayer
- 9:19Speaker 6: change his things, don't my mama said to me all
- 9:23Speaker 6: the time. I said it to my TV artist. Is
- 9:24Speaker 6: when they come see me on the talk show, before
- 9:27Speaker 6: I walk on stage, I tell them these words my
- 9:29Speaker 6: mother said. I said, my mother used to always tell
- 9:32Speaker 6: me this, and it's bailed me out, and it might
- 9:34Speaker 6: do the same thing for you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I said.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Whatever I get in trouble, I hear her words. She says, son,
- 9:41Speaker 6: don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and
- 9:45Speaker 6: don't be too proud to pray, because prayer, prayer changes
- 9:50Speaker 6: things and you better believe something it one hundred percent show.
- 9:56Speaker 7: Do you're listening morning, Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, it's well
- 10:05Speaker 7: what you want me to say.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I say it every day. Are you listening? Do you
- 10:11Speaker 2: hear me?
- 10:13Speaker 6: Can you feel me? Today is the day that the
- 10:18Speaker 6: Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 10:25Speaker 6: If you don't know what that means, it's almost self explanatory.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Only God can make a day, now, he'd have made
- 10:33Speaker 2: this one.
- 10:34Speaker 6: And you hear foid That means you ought to rejoice
- 10:38Speaker 6: and be glad in the fact that you in this
- 10:42Speaker 6: day because you don't have to be here cause two
- 10:46Speaker 6: things you don't have control over the day, and you
- 10:49Speaker 6: be in here them two things out of your control,
- 10:53Speaker 6: and the fact that you get to be here and
- 10:56Speaker 6: in it, that's why you ought to be glad.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That's all I almost say. Leave it at that.

- 12:02Speaker 2: at that there, see that right there, and see that tone.
- 12:06Speaker 1: That's that tone, that's that label for black women.

- 13:10Speaker 11: The fact that you think you an attractive though you've
- 13:13Speaker 11: accepted that, that's what bothered me.

- 13:43Speaker 12: right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 8: You're listening hard.
- 13:46Speaker 12: Morning show, and it's time now to run that prank back
- 13:49Speaker 12: with a nephew.
- 13:51Speaker 11: This right here is black gospel quiz. Okay, black gospel quiz.
- 13:57Speaker 11: Let's go cat dog if you would.
- 14:00Speaker 3: This is Grant our Grant, Grant Stephens. Right, Yes, hey,
- 14:05Speaker 3: hey Greg, this is brother Lewis Finley. I'm calling from

- 14:17Speaker 3: Okay, So now listen, I wanted to reach out to you.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I know you guys have started the uh the orientation
- 14:25Speaker 3: and from my understanding you you finished one one class
- 14:29Speaker 3: at orientation. You got three more to go? Is that right?
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yes?
- 14:32Speaker 3: All right, all right, all right. So first of all,
- 14:35Speaker 3: I want to say welcome to Mount Sinai and and
- 14:38Speaker 3: I hope you are enjoying yourself. I know that you
- 14:41Speaker 3: and your wife are a mixed couple. You you're a
- 14:44Speaker 3: Caucasian and she's she's black. Are you Are you liking
- 14:49Speaker 3: the church so far? Grant?
- 14:51Speaker 10: Absolutely, we really are enjoying it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: We completed our first orientation and uh yeah, so far
- 14:57Speaker 2: we're really enjoying it.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, that I catch you at a bad time.
- 15:01Speaker 10: I am a work right now, but it's okay. I've
- 15:03Speaker 10: got a couple of I've got a couple of us.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Okay, Okay. I just wanted to call you man. I
- 15:08Speaker 3: was worried I know you because I don't think you
- 15:11Speaker 3: know this, but you are the first Caucasian to join
- 15:14Speaker 3: our church, and I just want to make sure you
- 15:17Speaker 3: kind of knew the language and just just kind of
- 15:22Speaker 3: knowing what the Black Church is all about. And there's
- 15:24Speaker 3: certain sins and different things I think you should know
- 15:28Speaker 3: so that you know. I just don't want you to
- 15:30Speaker 3: say that the wrong thing while you at the church,
- 15:33Speaker 3: if that makes sense, Okay, Okay, So what I wanted
- 15:37Speaker 3: to do, like I wanted to give you a little
- 15:39Speaker 3: Black Church quiz so you can kind of maybe if
- 15:43Speaker 3: you could let me know where you are, you know,
- 15:46Speaker 3: if you're on a lower level or a high level
- 15:49Speaker 3: as far as being knowledgeable about the Black Church, Like
- 15:53Speaker 3: feel this blank in for me, grant And if you
- 15:55Speaker 3: don't matter, I just want to take a little bit
- 15:56Speaker 3: of time and I let you get back to work.
- 15:58Speaker 3: But first of all, give a blank to God. Give
- 16:03Speaker 3: what where would go in that blank?
- 16:05Speaker 2: Right there?
- 16:05Speaker 3: First of all, give a blank to God. Now all
- 16:10Speaker 3: I can think of something has to give. Give thanks
- 16:12Speaker 3: to God. H No, see that's wrong. See that's wrong.
- 16:15Speaker 3: See see what it is is. First of all, give
- 16:18Speaker 3: a honor to God. All right, remember the first of all,
- 16:21Speaker 3: give an honor the God. You got that, okay, yes, yes, okay.
- 16:25Speaker 3: First of all, give an honor to God, who is
- 16:28Speaker 3: the blank of my life? What? What?
- 16:31Speaker 13: What?
- 16:32Speaker 3: What goes in the blank? First of all, give an
- 16:34Speaker 3: honor to God, who is the blank of my life,
- 16:38Speaker 3: the love of my life. No, no, see that's that's
- 16:42Speaker 3: that's that's wrong. First of all, give an honor to God,
- 16:45Speaker 3: who is the head of my life. Did you give
- 16:49Speaker 3: you share that? I'm sorry, okay, I was just are
- 16:53Speaker 3: you sure?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Are you sure about that?
- 16:55Speaker 3: Oh? I'm definitely sure about man. No, don't don't. What
- 16:57Speaker 3: I don't want you to do is question what I'm Oh,
- 17:00Speaker 3: I'm from the Black Church. I know.
- 17:02Speaker 2: No, I wasn't.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I wasn't questioning you, sir, I wasn't. I'm sorry. I've
- 17:05Speaker 3: just always heard it that way. But okay, So, so
- 17:09Speaker 3: I'm trying to give you the understanding of knowing what
- 17:11Speaker 3: the Black Church is about. You understand, I understand. I'm
- 17:14Speaker 3: just I appreciate you I'm I apologize.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Okay, Now, look, I don't know these answers, obviously, but
- 17:22Speaker 2: I've got a meeting.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I got to get to here in a minute.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Like this, I'm curious if everyone in the church gets
- 17:26Speaker 2: these phone calls.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Well wait a minute, wait a minute, grand I know
- 17:29Speaker 3: what you have a meaning, But what's more important your
- 17:31Speaker 3: meeting or knowing your position at the Black Church? What
- 17:35Speaker 3: what's more important? I really don't have time for this
- 17:39Speaker 3: right now. I can't believe it's actually happening.
- 17:40Speaker 13: Like, does your pastor even know that you're calling you
- 17:43Speaker 13: right now?
- 17:44Speaker 10: Well?
- 17:44Speaker 3: No, I took the liberty of myself. What I realized
- 17:47Speaker 3: you was Caucasian, that I would call and try to
- 17:49Speaker 3: help you so you would know what to do when
- 17:52Speaker 3: you're in the Black church when people are saying certain
- 17:54Speaker 3: things you Okay, okay, grant if you don't man, just
- 17:58Speaker 3: do this for the grant, Like do you know what
- 18:01Speaker 3: hooping is?
- 18:02Speaker 13: Hooping?
- 18:04Speaker 10: Like, who's a hooping?
- 18:05Speaker 7: Uh?
- 18:06Speaker 3: No, hooping is when the pastor is at the end
- 18:09Speaker 3: of his sermon. So listen to this. Oh good, got
- 18:15Speaker 3: him do that funny? If you if you would grant,
- 18:21Speaker 3: oh hello, oh god? Oh many, No, no, no, more.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Come on you wo me? Oh no, godt him go again.
- 18:35Speaker 10: I can't believe I'm doing that.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Oh no, oh yeah, oh god almighty.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Okay, Hey Greg, do you think maybe it's possible that,
- 18:48Speaker 3: I mean, you could have some sessions before you come
- 18:52Speaker 3: back to the church and I can prepare you more.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Hey, man's listen, you have caught me at a really
- 18:58Speaker 2: bad time and I'm quite honest, sleep just so frustrated.
- 19:02Speaker 13: Like I've never heard of a quiz like this. I'm
- 19:04Speaker 13: really offended to y else of you. Like, do you
- 19:06Speaker 13: guys not want me to go hear church anymore? Like,
- 19:09Speaker 13: as matter of fact, dude, you should be calling my
- 19:11Speaker 13: wife right now.
- 19:12Speaker 10: She's black.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Well she should already know the queenst questions you the ones.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Don't know why I'm gonna call, I said, call you.
- 19:20Speaker 13: I am at work right now. I have a meeting
- 19:22Speaker 13: to get to in just a minute.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I don't know what you're doing. And I hold on
- 19:27Speaker 3: a second. I have got to close my office door.

- 54:18Speaker 12: Thanking if you subject. I'm falling for him, not his daddy.
- 54:22Speaker 12: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm fifty six years old and my
- 54:26Speaker 12: husband will turn seventy five in May. My husband is
- 54:30Speaker 12: a great provider and great daddy, but I don't get
- 54:33Speaker 12: butterflies when I'm with him like I did in the beginning.
- 54:37Speaker 12: I will admit he wooed me with expensive things and
- 54:40Speaker 12: I was caught up at first. We met and got
- 54:42Speaker 12: married all within a year. I didn't snap back into
- 54:45Speaker 12: reality until I met my step son at our wedding
- 54:49Speaker 12: a year ago. Now I want my step son more
- 54:52Speaker 12: than I want my husband. He's a fifty two year
- 54:55Speaker 12: old bachelor and a big flirt. He comes over to
- 54:58Speaker 12: the house and we have a good time to together
- 55:00Speaker 12: while my husband sits in a den glued to the TV.
- 55:03Speaker 12: My step son and I enjoyed the same wines, foods, movies,
- 55:07Speaker 12: and podcasts. We've fallen asleep together on the couch watching TV,
- 55:12Speaker 12: and my husband doesn't even see what's happening between us.
- 55:15Speaker 12: My stepson said he hopes he can meet a woman
- 55:18Speaker 12: like me that's smart, pretty and sexy after age fifty.
- 55:22Speaker 12: I reminded him that he's only a few years younger,
- 55:25Speaker 12: and he said, I look better than most of the
- 55:27Speaker 12: ladies his age. I made up an excuse to have
- 55:30Speaker 12: lunch with him yesterday. I told him I needed help
- 55:34Speaker 12: planning his dad's birthday party, so he agreed to meet me.
- 55:37Speaker 12: He was so handsome and he smells so good. His
- 55:41Speaker 12: hug was an a normal step son hug, and we
- 55:44Speaker 12: blushed when the waiter called us mister and missus king.
- 55:47Speaker 12: It's obvious that we look good together. After lunch, he
- 55:50Speaker 12: texted me to say that he had a great time,
- 55:53Speaker 12: and he said that I give great hugs. I wanted
- 55:56Speaker 12: to tell him I give great everything, but I didn't.
- 56:00Speaker 12: Should I cut the bs and tell him I'm falling
- 56:02Speaker 12: for him? Or should I wait so he can make
- 56:05Speaker 12: the first move. Please stop, please stop this, please, I
- 56:12Speaker 12: mean really, this is wrong on so many levels. And
- 56:15Speaker 12: you know this that may sound like judgment for me,
- 56:19Speaker 12: and I don't even care about that. It's not judgment.
- 56:21Speaker 12: It's just a simple matter of right and wrong. Family
- 56:25Speaker 12: is and should be off limits. And why is it
- 56:28Speaker 12: that we always want something we can't have seriously, Come
- 56:32Speaker 12: on now, lady, this man is your husband's son. He's
- 56:37Speaker 12: your husband's son. And yes, your husband is seventy five
- 56:40Speaker 12: and much older than you, but he's still alive. He's
- 56:43Speaker 12: still your husband.
- 56:44Speaker 8: What are you doing? At least give your husband the
- 56:47Speaker 8: respect he deserves. Do not do this to him.
- 56:50Speaker 12: Don't do this to his son. His son is out
- 56:53Speaker 12: of line too. You need to sit down. But you
- 56:57Speaker 12: need to sit down. I don't like any this. I
- 57:00Speaker 12: don't like what you're doing. You need to leave your
- 57:02Speaker 12: stepson alone and stop.
- 57:04Speaker 8: Doing this to your husband. This is so crazy. Right here,
- 57:07Speaker 8: this makes me so angry.
- 57:09Speaker 6: Steve Well, Shirley says something that hinges on the facts
- 57:14Speaker 6: of this whole letter.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Shirley said this line right here, he's still alive, and
- 57:23Speaker 2: that is what hinges on this whole letter. He is
- 57:28Speaker 2: still alive, referring to her the fifty six year old
- 57:32Speaker 2: woman's seventy five year old husband. He is still alive.
- 57:39Speaker 2: The question beckons, now how long? Now let's read the letter.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Charley posed the question that made the statement he is
- 57:50Speaker 2: still alive. The question I propose is how long? So
- 57:56Speaker 2: now let's read the letter? Based on this letter is
- 58:00Speaker 2: filled with discrimination. I have been accused of.
- 58:05Speaker 6: Fat shaming, and now I be accused of age discrimination.
- 58:11Speaker 6: I'm in the middle. She fifty six, he's seventy five.
- 58:14Speaker 6: I'm sixty seven. I'm right in the middle of this mess.
- 58:18Speaker 6: I'm damn near.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Both of them. Here I go.
- 58:23Speaker 6: This Stephenshall, I'm fifty six year old. My husband turned
- 58:25Speaker 6: seventy five. In made my husband great, providing great daddy.
- 58:29Speaker 6: Here's a key line. I don't get butterflies when I'm
- 58:32Speaker 6: with him like I did in the beginning. Quit looking
- 58:34Speaker 6: for butterflies. He's seventy five. Start looking for moths.
- 58:40Speaker 2: What you need to quit doing is quit looking for butterflies.
- 58:45Speaker 2: You know that ain't butterflies no more. This is moss, fat,
- 58:50Speaker 2: fluffy ass, moss, stupid red, big old moss, wool eating ass,
- 59:00Speaker 2: if hungry ass math.
- 59:06Speaker 6: Butterflies fly like this. Butterflies flutter, they go up and
- 59:10Speaker 6: down chain direction. Mof just come in and land on stuff.
- 59:13Speaker 6: So let's stop looking for the butterflies. Used to feel
- 59:16Speaker 6: when you first met him. He's seventy five. He don't
- 59:19Speaker 6: make butterflies no more. Them is moths. I wouldn't admit
- 59:22Speaker 6: he wooed me in the beginning with expensive things, and
- 59:24Speaker 6: I was caught up at first.
- 59:26Speaker 2: We met, got married. All in the years, see, you
- 59:28Speaker 2: was thirsty, then you was thirsty. You saw that lifestyle
- 59:33Speaker 2: and went for it.
- 59:35Speaker 6: I just snapped back into reality until I met my
- 59:38Speaker 6: step son at our where in the year ago. Now
- 59:41Speaker 6: I want my step son more than I want my husband.
- 59:45Speaker 6: He fifty two year old bachelor and a big flirt,
- 59:49Speaker 6: and you're a fifty six year old married woman. That's
- 59:51Speaker 6: a big flirt. He come over to the house. We
- 59:53Speaker 6: have a good time together while my husband sitting in
- 59:56Speaker 6: the den and glued to the TV. My step signed
- 59:59Speaker 6: and I enjoyed it. The same wine's, foods, movies and podcasts.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: Cause you listen to podcasts don't make you young. I
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: just want to point that out. You try to throw
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: that in like y'all doing some real young store. We
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: like the same movie, food, wine, and podcast We fall
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: and sleep together on the couch watching TV and my
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: husband don't see what's happening.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Your husband might not see what's happening, but you do.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: You've been eyeing him since your wedding day. Hang on,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: I'll be back.
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: Yeah, we'll have part two of your response coming up
- 1:00:33Speaker 12: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter subject,
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: I'm falling for him, not his daddy. We'll get back
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: into it right after this.
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: You're listening.
- 1:00:45Speaker 12: Morning show, All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: strawberry letter.
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: I'm falling for him, not his daddy.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: Fifty six year old woman that married this seventy five
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: year old man. Now she said she don't feel butterfly
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: no more. I'll bean rinded, hooded. He's seventy five.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Stop looking for butterfly, Start looking for moths, moss, big fat, fluffy.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I will admit he wouned me with expensive things. I
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: was caught up.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: We met, got married all within the year, and I
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: didn't snap back into reality until I met my step.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Son at our wedding a year ago. On your wedding day, you're.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Trifling behind snap back to reality by realizing you was
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: marrying this old man because if he could buy you
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: expensive things.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Now you say you.
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: Want your step son more than you want your husband.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: Fifty two year old bachelor and a big flirt. Come
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: over to the house. We have a good time together
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: while my husband sits in the den. Glued to the TV.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: My step sign and son and I enjoyed the same movies, wines, foods, podcasts.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Y'all that fell asleep together on the couch watching TV
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: and my husband don't even see what's happening. Yeah, but
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: you do though. You see what's happening, and you saw
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: what you wanted to happen on your wedding day when
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: you met your stepson. On your wedding day, my stepson
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: says that he hopes he can meet a woman like
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: me that's smart, pretty and sexy after age fifty.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: Then you reminded him he's only a few years young,
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: and he said, I look better than most of the ladies. Say, hey,
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: I made up excuse to have lunch with him yesterday.
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: I told him I need to plan his daddy's birthday
- 1:02:38Speaker 6: parties who agreed to meet me. He was so handsome
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: and he smelled so good. See now let's go talking
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: about smell, because him and his daddy smell differently.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: See, the young boy smell like cologne. His daddy smell
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: like medicine. It's two different smells.
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: She didn't say that.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: One of them smell like a few outside the other
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: one smell like inside the hospital.
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: Yeah, you're right there.
- 1:03:11Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: One of them smell like he fifty, so he wear
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: old ass coloone. One of them smell like hoston the
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: other one smell.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Like icy hot. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. One of
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: them in there smelling like uh oh, what's another fahrenheit?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: That's another old clothe He and that smelling like ben Gate,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: you know what you Yeah with that young dude in
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: that smelling like lotion. Your husband in that smell like sav.

- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, your little fitty you old. He taking
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: pills to help his.
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: Night out, viagraus and yalysies. Your husband in there taking
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: nitro glistering. He trying to stay in this world. He

- 1:04:33Speaker 6: the pills you could do without the other one.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: He came miss.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: So.
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: Yeah, he was so handsome, he smell so good. This
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: hug wasn't like the normal step son either. Yeah, that's
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: why his hugs are different because he see he hugging
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: your husband falling on you. See you hug got seventy
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: fie old. It turned from a hug to hold me
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: up right quick. It's two different things from from her
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: to hold me up.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Hug me and hold me up.
- 1:05:06Speaker 6: It's two different things. And we blushed when the waiter
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: call us mister and missus king. It's obviously we look
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: good together. Well, it's hard to look good with your
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: husband because there's too much stuff in the picture.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: What do you mean?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: And y'all sitting there there taking picture in the chair,
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: but you can see the handlebars from his hove around

- 1:05:29Speaker 6: Now you think you all look good together, y'all y'all
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: taking the picture, But you can see the walker right
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: next to the chair. You can see that, and that
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: can't take away from the picture. You know, you know
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: you're sitting up there, y'all in the chair, but you
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: can see the cane. It ain't no ron Asley Kane.
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: This that cane that you get a cvs. The brown
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: one with the black grip on the end of it.
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: He got one of them crutches in the picture. With
- 1:05:59Speaker 6: the arm break.
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: He's just seventy five.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: That's what's wrong. Though.
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: After lunch he texted me and said we had a
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: great time and he said that I give a great hug.
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: I wanted to tell him I get great everything. So
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: what did you say with your nass dad?
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: But I didn't. Should I cut the bs and tell
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: him I'm falling for him? Or should I wait so
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: he can make the first move? Do you hear that question?
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: Either way? In this question?
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: She know is going down, She's planning on it going down.
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: She just want to know shit she said, or wait
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: on him to say it. But it's going down. The
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: decision has been made. You've chosen the stepson on wedding
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: day versus his old ass daddy.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: When your comments on today, Strawberry leave all.

- 1:10:39Speaker 12: This is from Coramo in Green Bay, who says, my
- 1:10:42Speaker 12: wife has a younger brother that is a spoiled thirty
- 1:10:44Speaker 12: five year old bachelor and he thinks he has free
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: rein at our house. I'm tired of him using our
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: house as a crash pad. He brings his dates to
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: our house for drinks before a date so he can
- 1:10:55Speaker 12: save money. The final straw was Sunday when he seasoned
- 1:10:59Speaker 12: my ribs and started up my grill while I ran
- 1:11:02Speaker 12: out to the store. I cursed him out because he
- 1:11:04Speaker 12: should know not to ever touch a man's meat. My
- 1:11:08Speaker 12: wife said, I better apologize. That's never happening. How do
- 1:11:12Speaker 12: I get her to understand what he did to me?
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: That's true.

- 1:11:25Speaker 6: You don't season my meat. You don't live here, man.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: Matter of fact, why are you opening a refrigerator? Why
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: have you got rules in my house? Man? I had
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: an employee one time open my refrigerator because he wanted
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: a bottle of water. My son saw him and say,
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: hey man, and I just happened to be coming in
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: the kitchen. He said, hey man, my daddy. Don't he
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: don't play that. I came in the corner.

- 1:12:24Speaker 6: You didn't even wash your hands. What you're doing it
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: my refrigerator?
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Man? That was what about Well, that wasn't it, but

- 1:13:07Speaker 2: and showing up here, are you little fast food bro?
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Everything in the man's house is his room. You got it?
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: You ain't gotta apologize to this dude. He needs to
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: apologize for you. He need to understand. You can't go
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: of another man's house. I don't care if your sister
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: do live here. This is this man's house. There's one

- 1:14:07Speaker 12: and he assumed it was a man, and he showed
- 1:14:09Speaker 12: up at Stevie's house ready to raise hell. Her husband
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: greeted him at the door. I have never been more ashamed.
- 1:14:17Speaker 12: Can I justify putting a pass code on my phone?
- 1:14:21Speaker 12: Or should my husband be able to check my phone?
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Wow?
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Damn well, I mean you could put him pass code

- 1:19:36Speaker 2: don't care. You need to, well, you shouldn't find out
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: what you.
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: Mean real good rather than Kirby.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: When you say curves and what you mean like you
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: mean that's kind of Kirby means curves.
- 1:19:52Speaker 8: She's got curves going on.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: And now, so what you're talking about five four? I

- 1:20:19Speaker 8: Harvey right after this. You're listening Morning show. All right, guys,
- 1:20:25Speaker 8: here we are, last break of the day. This is Friday.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: We made it.
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: It's been a good day.
- 1:20:35Speaker 6: We made you know something I got closing remarks, It's
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: all because this is something that I've had to grapple
- 1:20:42Speaker 6: with myself.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: You know, Oh, what stops a lot of people from succeeding.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: It's procrastination. It procrastination is a success killer.
- 1:21:02Speaker 6: If you keep putting off the start of anything, you
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: never begin the process and trying to find the perfect reason,
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: the perfect timing, the perfect day to start something. The
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: answer to that for me is now, because I've looked
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: for those in the past and I just ain't came
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: up with them. I haven't come up with the perfect time,
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: the perfect day, the perfect at the time is now.
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: A lot of my success has been because I started now. Now,
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: I'll admit this also a lot of my failures have
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: been because I started now. Not saying that I didn't
- 1:21:53Speaker 6: work through it the right way or going or do
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: my due diligence. I'm not talking about That's just everything
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: you start is not going to be a success.
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: You have to start the process.
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: Anyway, because all of your failures will lead you to
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: a success. See, every time you fail at something, it's
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: not a failure, it's a gain learn valuable experience.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: And people don't look at it that way. They looking
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: at failure as finite as the end of a finale,
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: and it's not everybody fails.
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: That's the way it works. But I promise you this,
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: if you don't start that, you are going to fail.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: Stop procrastinating, stop putting it off. I'll give you an example.
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: I was sitting in my hotel the other day and
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: it's been like, I got a few days off before
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: I go back to work, right out here in la
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: and I enjoy my quiet time because I really do
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: enjoy being by myself. You know, my wife is off
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: doing something with some family members, and so I'm out here,
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: and so I spent a lot of time by myself.
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: And it's perfectly fine because I enjoyed being by myself.
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: But I got into this thing where I was just
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: eating bad. I was just ordering stuff just because I
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: hadn't done it in a while. Give me a piece
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: of give me chicken wings. Man, they got M and
- 1:23:15Speaker 6: ms in the snack bar. I'm eating him.
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: And finally I just went, hey, man, oh Steve, Steve
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: stee steep where you're going, Man, You got your weight down.
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: You're doing good, man. Get a grip on yourself. And
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: instead of saying when I get back home. I'm gonna
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: start again. No, I start now. I got up throughout
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: all their miniums, took them candy bars, got rid of them,
- 1:23:39Speaker 6: called and told.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: The people, bring me extra whole fruit and bring me
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: some nuts.
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: So if I'm gonna sit up and snack, I'm gonna
- 1:23:46Speaker 6: eat some fruits or some nuts, some raw nuts. And
- 1:23:49Speaker 6: I just started because listen to me, I've learned, when
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: you delay, you put it off. Man, you find another
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: reason to put it off. Because delaying and procrastination in
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: this habit forming, man, because you can justify anything.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: I ain't got to do that today. I don't have
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: to work out today. I could start next Monday. Well,
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: when next Monday get here, might as well start Thursday,
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: because we got to do all this work on Monday,
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Tuesday and Wednesday. Then Thursday get here. Man, I'm going
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: into the weekend. Let me enjoy this last weekend. I'll
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: get started again on Monday. Then Monday get here, and
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: then you go, hey, you know what, man, maybe tomorrow
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: and then guess what, something happens tomorrow and next thing
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: you know, you've never started. Stop procrastinating.
- 1:24:31Speaker 6: Make now the destination, Make now the perfect timing because
- 1:24:36Speaker 6: There is no more perfect time than now, because now
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: is all you really have. You can make a decision
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: about now and it sticks and holes because now it's
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: what we have. Now do it now, y'all. Procrastination is
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: the biggest killer for success. It just kills success. Stop
- 1:25:02Speaker 6: stop doing it to yourself. And procrastination only hurts you, folks.
- 1:25:09Speaker 6: I am telling you, we have got to get going.
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: You have got to get started. And it's just listen, man,
- 1:25:21Speaker 6: pay attention to the voice that's inside you. Your voice
- 1:25:26Speaker 6: inside you wants to be happy. The voice inside you
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: wants to be successful. It really does, and it beckons
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: and it calls you all the time. Stop listening to
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: that other voice who has one job to rob you
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: of your destiny. Stop allowing that counter voice to take control.
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: Listen to that inner voice, the righteous side, the good
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: side of you, and start stop procrastinating. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: and I've had to tell myself that over and over
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: and over. I'll tell you something else I was going through.
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: I just couldn't get motivated. I'd been out the country
- 1:26:08Speaker 6: and I came back home and the jet lag was
- 1:26:10Speaker 6: beating me up. And it lasted a little bit longer
- 1:26:12Speaker 6: and I thought I was jetlagged for like seven days.
- 1:26:15Speaker 6: And I was sitting up in here, man, and I
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: was trying to get motivated. And I told my sons,
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: and I told my trainer, I'm just not motivated to
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: work out right now. I gotta get back. I'm looking
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: for motivation. And I started talking to my staff about it.
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: And my staff starts saying, so, mister Harvey, you look
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: fine now, man, you look great. Don't do nothing. My
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: trainer called me up the next morning said, hey, man,
- 1:26:34Speaker 6: don't listen to them. People that ain't where you at
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: in your life, and that ain't where you trying to be.
- 1:26:39Speaker 6: So why are you listening to them? He said, come on, man,
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: let's get at it. And guess what I started now.
- 1:26:47Speaker 6: I started right then, So just start, everybody, stop procrastinating.
