Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / VP JD Vance Honors his Friend Charlie Kirk
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The Vice President of the United States of America, had
- 0:03Speaker 1: the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. He did
- 0:07Speaker 1: it from the White House Complex, and it was a
- 0:12Speaker 1: very interesting intro that I want to play for you,
- 0:16Speaker 1: as you can hear a couple of different things, one
- 0:19Speaker 1: him talk about his dear friend, but even more than that,
- 0:22Speaker 1: talking about what the media has been doing to lie
- 0:25Speaker 1: about what Charlie Kirk has said in the past, and
- 0:28Speaker 1: he's saying it's time for us to call them out
- 0:30Speaker 1: for doing that. He also talked about how many people
- 0:34Speaker 1: are attacking and celebrating Charlie Kirk and it's time, as
- 0:39Speaker 1: he described it, to call them out and even name
- 0:41Speaker 1: their employers, or better yet, tell their employers if they
- 0:45Speaker 1: have someone they're employing that is actively supporting and advocating
- 0:51Speaker 1: political violence through assassination. Here is the Vice President, Jade Vance,
- 0:57Speaker 1: in his own words, and at the beginning, you were
- 0:59Speaker 1: going to hear some music that is from the traditional
- 1:01Speaker 1: Charlie Kirk intro, just to put it in context, and
- 1:04Speaker 1: then you'll hear what he says.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Shortly after Usha and I left Charlie's family and Charlie's
- 1:10Speaker 2: remains in Arizona, I wrote a story in The Nation
- 1:14Speaker 2: magazine about my dear friend Charlie Kirk. Now The Nation
- 1:19Speaker 2: isn't a fringe blog. It's a well funded, well respected
- 1:23Speaker 2: magazine whose publishing history goes back to the American Civil War.
- 1:28Speaker 2: George Soros's Open Society Foundation funds this magazine, as does
- 1:33Speaker 2: the Ford Foundation and many other wealthy titans of the
- 1:37Speaker 2: American progressive movement.
- 1:39Speaker 3: The writer accuses Charlie.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Of saying, and I quote, black women do not have
- 1:45Speaker 2: brain processing power to be taken seriously. But if you
- 1:49Speaker 2: go and watch the clip, the very clip she links to,
- 1:53Speaker 2: you realize he never said.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Anything like that.
- 1:55Speaker 2: He never uttered those words. He made an argument again
- 2:00Speaker 2: suffermative action as a policy, He criticized a specific Supreme
- 2:04Speaker 2: Court justice as an individual. He never said anything about
- 2:08Speaker 2: black women as a group.
- 2:10Speaker 3: He made an.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Argument for judging people of all races and backgrounds by
- 2:15Speaker 2: their own individual merits. The very evidence she provides, this
- 2:20Speaker 2: hack of a writer shows that she lied about a
- 2:23Speaker 2: dead man, and yet she wrote it, an esteemed magazine
- 2:27Speaker 2: published it, it made it through the editors, and of
- 2:30Speaker 2: course liberal billionaires rewarded that attack.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Now, of course, even.
- 2:37Speaker 2: If Charlie had uttered those words. It wouldn't mean that
- 2:40Speaker 2: he deserved his fate. But consider the level of propaganda
- 2:44Speaker 2: at work. Charlie was gunned down in broad daylight, and
- 2:48Speaker 2: well funded institutions of the left lied about what he
- 2:52Speaker 2: said so as to justify his murder.
- 2:57Speaker 3: This is soulless and evil.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But I was struck not just by the dishonesty of
- 3:02Speaker 2: this smear, but by the glee over a young husband's
- 3:06Speaker 2: and young father's death.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Quote she says he.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Was an unrepentant racist, transphobe, homophobe, and misogynist the nation wrote,
- 3:19Speaker 2: who often wrapped his bigotry in Bible verses because there
- 3:23Speaker 2: was no other way to pretend that it was morally correct.
- 3:27Speaker 2: He had children, as do many vile people.
- 3:31Speaker 3: That's what they said.
- 3:32Speaker 2: He had children, as do many vile people. Now, hours
- 3:36Speaker 2: before this smear was published, my wife and I had
- 3:40Speaker 2: the honor of escorting Charlie's body back to his home
- 3:43Speaker 2: in Arizona. We took his wife, Erica, we Love you,
- 3:48Speaker 2: his parents, his sister, and a few of his best
- 3:51Speaker 2: friends with us, And as they offloaded Charlie's casket from
- 3:55Speaker 2: Air Force two, I worried that Erica would collapse.
- 3:59Speaker 3: With grief.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Now, I am a very lucky husband to a very
- 4:04Speaker 2: wonderful wife. But I have never been prouder of my
- 4:06Speaker 2: wife at that moment, as she held Erica in Erica's
- 4:10Speaker 2: very darkest hour. And I thought of Erica as I
- 4:13Speaker 2: read that disgusting attack on Charlie. He had children, as
- 4:18Speaker 2: do many vile people. That's what they said about him.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I said, the Lord's prayer, our Father, who art in heaven,
- 4:28Speaker 2: how would be thy name, thy Kingdom Come? Thy will
- 4:31Speaker 2: be done on earth as it is in heaven. And
- 4:35Speaker 2: I asked Yusha what Erica had said to her earlier
- 4:39Speaker 2: in the day in a private moment, and I asked
- 4:41Speaker 2: Erica's permission to share this.
- 4:44Speaker 3: My wife told me she asked me for advice.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Erica asked me for advice on how she should tell
- 4:53Speaker 2: her children that their father had been murdered.
- 4:58Speaker 3: She asked my wife how.
- 5:00Speaker 2: To tell her beautiful kids that their father and my dear,
- 5:04Speaker 2: very dear friend is no longer with us. And as
- 5:08Speaker 2: she was doing it, there were people dancing on that
- 5:12Speaker 2: father's grave. Now, I have heard many calls in the
- 5:17Speaker 2: last few days for unity and for healing in the
- 5:21Speaker 2: wake of Charlie's assassination.
- 5:22Speaker 3: You have no.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Idea how desperately I want that, How gratified I was
- 5:28Speaker 2: when Democratic friends and even former Senate colleagues reached out
- 5:32Speaker 2: to offer their.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Condolences to me.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'm so thankful, and I know there are so many
- 5:37Speaker 2: like them all across our great country. I am desperate
- 5:42Speaker 2: to wrap my arms around them as we all unite
- 5:45Speaker 2: to condemn political violence and the ideas that cause it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Psalm one thirty three tells us, Behold, how good and
- 5:54Speaker 2: how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It is like the precious ointment upon the head whole.
- 6:03Speaker 2: How badly have I craved that precious ointment in recent days?
- 6:07Speaker 2: And I believe we can have it. But first, first,
- 6:13Speaker 2: we must tell the truth. It's the only way to
- 6:16Speaker 2: honor Charlie. For what was he if not a man
- 6:19Speaker 2: who told the truth in every place, in every environment. Now,
- 6:24Speaker 2: the most important truth Charlie told is this that long ago,
- 6:29Speaker 2: a man begotten, not made, came down from heaven and
- 6:34Speaker 2: by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
- 6:38Speaker 2: and became a man.
- 6:39Speaker 3: For our sake.
- 6:40Speaker 2: He was crucified under conscious pilot and suff death, and
- 6:44Speaker 2: was buried and rose again on the third day. Charlie believed,
- 6:49Speaker 2: as I do, that all the truth he told flowed.
- 6:53Speaker 3: From that fundamental principle.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I really do believe that we can come together in
- 7:01Speaker 2: this country. I believe we must. But unity, real unity,
- 7:08Speaker 2: can be found only after climbing the mountain of truth,
- 7:13Speaker 2: and there are difficult truths we must confront in our country.
- 7:17Speaker 2: One truth is that twenty four percent of self described
- 7:22Speaker 2: quote very liberals believe it is acceptable to be happy
- 7:26Speaker 2: about the death of a political opponent, while only three
- 7:29Speaker 2: percent of self described very conservatives agree. Three percent is
- 7:34Speaker 2: too many, of course. Another truth is that twenty six
- 7:38Speaker 2: percent of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified,
- 7:44Speaker 2: and only seven percent of young conservatives say the same.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Again too high a number. In a country of three
- 7:51Speaker 2: hundred and thirty million people. You can, of course find
- 7:54Speaker 2: one person of a given political persuasion justifying this or that,
- 7:57Speaker 2: or almost anything. But the data uh is clear people
- 8:02Speaker 2: on the left are much likelier to defend and celebrate
- 8:06Speaker 2: political violence. This is not a both sides problem. If
- 8:10Speaker 2: both sides have a problem, one side has a much
- 8:13Speaker 2: bigger and malignant problem, and that is the truth We
- 8:17Speaker 2: must be told that problem has terrible consequences.
- 8:23Speaker 3: The leader of our party, Donald J.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Trump, escaped an assassin's bullet by less than an inch.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Our House majority leavers, Steven Scalise, came within seconds of
- 8:34Speaker 2: death by an assassin himself. Now the most influential conservative
- 8:39Speaker 2: activist in generations. Our friend Charlie has been murdered. This violence,
- 8:45Speaker 2: it doesn't come from nowhere.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Now.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Any political movement, violent or not violent, is a collection
- 8:52Speaker 2: of forces. It's like a pyramid that stacks on top
- 8:55Speaker 2: one support on top of the other that I got
- 9:00Speaker 2: a foundation of donors, of activists, of journalists now, of
- 9:03Speaker 2: social media influencers, and of course of politicians. Not every
- 9:08Speaker 2: member of that pyramid would commit a murder. In fact,
- 9:10Speaker 2: over ninety nine percent I'm sure would not. But by
- 9:14Speaker 2: celebrating that murder, apologizing for it, and emphasizing not Charlie's innocence,
- 9:19Speaker 2: but the fact that he said things some didn't like,
- 9:23Speaker 2: even to the point of lying about what he actually said,
- 9:26Speaker 2: many of these people are creating an environment where things
- 9:29Speaker 2: like this are inevitably going to happen. A couple of
- 9:33Speaker 2: months ago, I had land a fundraiser in southern Californian,
- 9:36Speaker 2: since you know we'd be out there anyways. My wife
- 9:38Speaker 2: and I decided to take our kids to Disneyland one weekend.
- 9:42Speaker 2: We had fun, and to be clear, most of the
- 9:44Speaker 2: guests said very nice things or they.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Just left us alone.
- 9:48Speaker 2: But there was a loud and very minority that would
- 9:51Speaker 2: shout at my children, who were eight, five and three,
- 9:54Speaker 2: whenever they got the opportunity. You should disown your dad,
- 9:58Speaker 2: you little shit, one middleage woman yelled at my five
- 10:01Speaker 2: year old.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Tell the Secret Service.
- 10:03Speaker 2: To protect the Constitution, not your father, screamed another. Are
- 10:07Speaker 2: these women violent? Probably not. Are they deranged? Certainly? And
- 10:12Speaker 2: while our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies,
- 10:15Speaker 2: it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics
- 10:18Speaker 2: and American politics today are proud members of the far left.
- 10:24Speaker 2: After Charlie died, one of his friends and one of
- 10:27Speaker 2: our senior White House staffers, had left leaning operatives in
- 10:31Speaker 2: his neighborhood, passing out leaflets telling people what he looked
- 10:36Speaker 2: like and where he lived, encouraging neighbors to harass him
- 10:39Speaker 2: or God forbid, to do worse. While he was mourning
- 10:43Speaker 2: his dead friend, he and his wife had to worry
- 10:46Speaker 2: about the political terrorists drawing a big target on the home.
- 10:51Speaker 2: He shares with his young children that something has gone
- 10:56Speaker 2: very wrong with a lunatic fringe, a minority, but a
- 11:00Speaker 2: growing and powerful minority on the far left. There is
- 11:06Speaker 2: no unity with people who scream at children over their parents' politics.
- 11:10Speaker 3: There is no unity with someone.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to
- 11:15Speaker 2: excuse his murder.
- 11:16Speaker 3: There is no.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day
- 11:21Speaker 2: after the father of that family lost a dear friend.
- 11:24Speaker 2: There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie
- 11:28Speaker 2: Kirk's assassination. And there is no unity with the people
- 11:32Speaker 2: who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these
- 11:35Speaker 2: terrorist sympathizers, who argue that Charlie Kirk, a loving husband
- 11:39Speaker 2: and father, deserved a shot to the neck because he
- 11:44Speaker 2: spoke words with which they disagree. Did you know that
- 11:48Speaker 2: the George Soros Open Society Foundation and the Ford Foundation,
- 11:52Speaker 2: the groups who funded that disgusting article justifying Charlie's death,
- 11:57Speaker 2: Do you know they benefit from generous tax treatment. They
- 12:00Speaker 2: are literally subsidized by you and me, the American taxpayer.
- 12:05Speaker 2: And how do they reward us by setting fire to
- 12:08Speaker 2: the house built by the American family over two hundred
- 12:11Speaker 2: and fifty years. I am desperate for our country to
- 12:15Speaker 2: be united in condemnation of the actions and the ideas
- 12:19Speaker 2: that killed my friend. I want it so badly that
- 12:22Speaker 2: I will tell you a difficult truth. We can only
- 12:25Speaker 2: have it with people who acknowledge that political violence is unacceptable,
- 12:30Speaker 2: and when we work to dismantle the institutions that promote
- 12:35Speaker 2: violence and terrorism in our own country. Now, our government,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you heard me talk to Stephen Miller about this, will
- 12:42Speaker 2: be working very hard to do exactly that in the
- 12:45Speaker 2: months to come. We're not always going to get it right.
- 12:48Speaker 2: We will sometimes move more slowly than you would like.
- 12:51Speaker 2: We will sometimes move more slowly than I.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Want us to.
- 12:54Speaker 2: But I promise you that we will explore every option.
- 12:58Speaker 3: To bring real unity to our country and stop those
- 13:01Speaker 3: who would kill their.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Fellow Americans because they don't like what they say.
- 13:06Speaker 3: But you have a role too.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Civil society, Charlie understood this well, is not just something
- 13:12Speaker 2: that flows from the government. It flows from each and
- 13:18Speaker 2: every one of us. It flows from all of us.
- 13:23Speaker 2: So when you see someone celebrating Charlie's murder, call them
- 13:26Speaker 2: out in hell, call their employer. We don't believe in
- 13:29Speaker 2: political violence, but we do believe in civility, and there
- 13:33Speaker 2: is no civility in the celebration of political assassination. Get involved,
- 13:38Speaker 2: Get involved, Get involved. It's the best way to honor
- 13:41Speaker 2: Charlie's legacy. Start a chapter of TPUSA, or get involved
- 13:45Speaker 2: in the one that already exists.
- 13:47Speaker 3: If you're older, volunteer for.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Your local party, write an op ed in your local paper,
- 13:51Speaker 2: run for office. I can't promise you this is going
- 13:55Speaker 2: to be easy. I can't promise you that all of
- 13:57Speaker 2: us will avoid Charlie's fate. Can't promise you that I
- 14:01Speaker 2: will avoid Charlie's fate. But the way to honor him
- 14:05Speaker 2: is to shine the light of truth like a torch
- 14:08Speaker 2: in the very darkest places.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Go do it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: We owe it to our friend to ensure that his
- 14:14Speaker 2: killer is not just prosecuted.
- 14:16Speaker 3: But punished.
- 14:17Speaker 2: And the worst punishment is not the death penalty, but
- 14:20Speaker 2: the knowledge that Charlie's mission continues after he's gone. Saint
- 14:27Speaker 2: Paul tells us in the Book of Ephesians to put
- 14:29Speaker 2: on the full armor of God. Let all of us
- 14:33Speaker 2: put on that armor and commit.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Ourselves to that cause. For which Charlie gave his life to.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Rebuild a United States of America and to do it
- 14:44Speaker 2: by telling the truth. J D.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Vance giving his tribute in a speech on the Charlie
- 14:50Speaker 1: Kirk Podcast. This is a perfect example of what has
- 14:54Speaker 1: happened because of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We are
- 14:59Speaker 1: also witnessing a big accountability moment in this country. Clemson University,
- 15:05Speaker 1: for example, under the microscope for vile comments by employees
- 15:09Speaker 1: plural on the assassination of Charlie Kirk is just one example.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Another one, the US Department of State has revoked the
- 15:18Speaker 1: visa for a British rapper, Bob Violin, after being in
- 15:22Speaker 1: support of Charlie Kirk's death and supporting Islamic jihad. These
- 15:28Speaker 1: are just some of the things that are changing very quickly.
- 15:32Speaker 1: A long time Washington Post columnists, for example, was fired
- 15:38Speaker 1: after justifying Charlie Kirk's assassination. Her name is Karen Adwell.
- 15:44Speaker 1: She's been a columnist at the far left Washington Post
- 15:46Speaker 1: for eleven years. She was fired over the weekend for
- 15:50Speaker 1: her words quote speaking out against political violence, radical double standards,
- 15:54Speaker 1: and America's apathy towards gunn Then she says, this is
- 15:59Speaker 1: really she said, the post accuse my measured Blue Sky
- 16:03Speaker 1: posts of being unacceptable, gross misconduct, and of endangering the
- 16:08Speaker 1: physical safety of my colleagues, which I reject, is completely false.
- 16:12Speaker 3: She says.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to go out on a limb and
- 16:15Speaker 1: say I think she was fired for this series of
- 16:18Speaker 1: post one author said online, including a fake quote that
- 16:22Speaker 1: justified the public execution of a thirty one year old
- 16:25Speaker 1: father and husband guilty of nothing more than wanting to debate.
- 16:30Speaker 1: She said online. Part of what keeps America so violence
- 16:34Speaker 1: is the instance that people perform care, empathy, goodness, and
- 16:38Speaker 1: absolutism for white men who espouse hatred in violence. Refusing
- 16:44Speaker 1: to tear my clothes and smear ashes on my face
- 16:47Speaker 1: in performative mourning for a white man that espoused violence
- 16:51Speaker 1: is not the same as violence. She also said this
- 16:55Speaker 1: that Charlie Kirk had said black women do not have
- 16:58Speaker 1: the brain processing power to be taken seriously. You have
- 17:01Speaker 1: to go still a white person slot. She attributed that
- 17:05Speaker 1: to Charlie Kirk. You heard there at the beginning of
- 17:08Speaker 1: what the Vice president said. How big of a lie
- 17:11Speaker 1: that is? And yet she's angry. She got fired, and
- 17:14Speaker 1: many on the left are angry as well that she
- 17:18Speaker 1: no longer has a platform at the Washington Post to
- 17:21Speaker 1: put this type of hatred and propaganda out there. I
- 17:25Speaker 1: want to talk to you about my friends at Kirk
- 17:28Speaker 1: Elliott Precious Metals. Two days ago, I got my new
- 17:32Speaker 1: order of silver. Now I'm investing in silver right now
- 17:35Speaker 1: because the pricing on it is amazing and the upside well,
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's real. I actually have a one hundred ounce silver bar.
- 17:45Speaker 1: It is actually really cool. It's really heavy because it's
- 17:48Speaker 1: one hundred ounces. But I also know that I bought
- 17:51Speaker 1: it at the right price and I wasn't paying massive
- 17:54Speaker 1: up charges on quote. Rare are special coins, and then
- 17:58Speaker 1: when you go to sell them, you take away all
- 18:00Speaker 1: of your earning potential. Why do they do it this
- 18:03Speaker 1: way at Kurt Elliott Because they have transparent pricing up front.
- 18:08Speaker 1: It's very simple. You pay eight percent when you buy,
- 18:11Speaker 1: and here's what matters to you the most, nothing when
- 18:15Speaker 1: you sell. There are no hidden fees ever with Kurt
- 18:19Speaker 1: Elliott Precious Metals. This is the reason why I recommend them.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It's not just about investing, it's about making sure you
- 18:27Speaker 1: get more for your money, and that is exactly why
- 18:30Speaker 1: Kurt Elliott helps people all the time. Whether it's gold
- 18:34Speaker 1: or silver, you can hold it, be a good steward
- 18:36Speaker 1: of it, you can pass it on to future generations,
- 18:39Speaker 1: and you can build wealth with it. It's real bullion,
- 18:43Speaker 1: never gimmicks, just investment grade gold and silver. No overpriced coins,
- 18:49Speaker 1: no flashy markups. And it's a company that I love
- 18:53Speaker 1: because they are a faith driven company. There's no pressure,
- 18:57Speaker 1: just honest care. They treat every like family, offering honest
- 19:02Speaker 1: answers up front to help you make wise informed decisions.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Now.

- 19:40Speaker 1: com slash Ben. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino coming out
- 19:46Speaker 1: telling Fox News that there appears to have been multiple
- 19:50Speaker 1: warning signs that pointed to the suspect in Charlie Kirk's
- 19:54Speaker 1: assassination prior to that shooting taking place. Speaking to Bill Himmer,
- 20:01Speaker 1: Bongino said, not only does there appear to have been
- 20:04Speaker 1: multiple warning signs, but there were people in the suspect's network,
- 20:09Speaker 1: friends and family who had stated that he become more political.
- 20:13Speaker 1: He went on to say, I believe some of his
- 20:16Speaker 1: co workers said that he had kind of detached himself
- 20:19Speaker 1: when the topic of politics came up and walked away
- 20:22Speaker 1: from them. He added that it seems ideology had infected
- 20:27Speaker 1: him and had taken over. I want you to hear
- 20:31Speaker 1: more of what the FBI Deputy director had to say
- 20:34Speaker 1: on Fox about what we know about him, how we
- 20:37Speaker 1: were able to track him, the forensic that were involved.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Listen carefully to what he had to say.
- 20:43Speaker 5: After he fired that single fatal shot. We've got the
- 20:46Speaker 5: video of him jumping off the backside of the building.
- 20:50Speaker 5: Where is the gun when he drops fifteen feet down
- 20:53Speaker 5: to the grass below.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Well, if you look at the video, the gun is.
- 20:59Speaker 6: You'll see the back of the when you're watching the
- 21:01Speaker 6: video right there. It appears from the video here that
- 21:07Speaker 6: the gun is either in the backpack or on him
- 21:09Speaker 6: when he jumps down. This is where, by the way,
- 21:11Speaker 6: this part of the video, this is where we got
- 21:14Speaker 6: a significant portion of the forensic evidence in the case,
- 21:18Speaker 6: which we had to expedite. We had a number of assets,
- 21:22Speaker 6: including fixed wing assets, to be able to fly if
- 21:25Speaker 6: obviously Salt Lake and that specific area in provo is
- 21:29Speaker 6: not around the corner from FBI labs. It was difficult,
- 21:31Speaker 6: but we were able during that scene him grabbing that
- 21:34Speaker 6: particular side of the building and jumping down, we were
- 21:38Speaker 6: able to gather a significant amount of forensic information which
- 21:40Speaker 6: we expedited back to the lab, which was the key,
- 21:44Speaker 6: I think, piece of information that we were able to
- 21:46Speaker 6: crack this thing open.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Okay, just looking at that video, it's hard to see
- 21:50Speaker 5: the weapon and that's why the question is still obvious
- 21:54Speaker 5: to me today. Cash Betel said earlier today that he
- 21:59Speaker 5: expressed to someone that he had an opportunity to take
- 22:03Speaker 5: out the killer was going to do it. Did that
- 22:05Speaker 5: person do anything with that information?
- 22:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's what we're really disturbed about.
- 22:14Speaker 6: It appears that this was communicated. You see this a
- 22:18Speaker 6: lot bill when in targeted violence cases assassination, school shootings,
- 22:23Speaker 6: where the individual expresses in advance in a good swath
- 22:26Speaker 6: of these cases his desire or her desire to do
- 22:30Speaker 6: these specific things. That appears to be the case here
- 22:33Speaker 6: as well, where the intent component was there in advance
- 22:38Speaker 6: and the target was was the target was announced in
- 22:43Speaker 6: advance prior.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Now that's the.
- 22:45Speaker 6: Part we want to know where they did they know?
- 22:48Speaker 6: And not say did they now? Bill, you have to
- 22:51Speaker 6: keep in mind, I don't want anyone to jump to
- 22:52Speaker 6: conclusions on this. There's did they say it, hear it
- 22:56Speaker 6: and think it was some kind of a joke. That's
- 22:59Speaker 6: what we're trying to find out now. But I promise you,
- 23:01Speaker 6: if there's a larger network here, we're going to get
- 23:04Speaker 6: that out to the public as soon as we can.
- 23:06Speaker 3: We really are, Okay.
- 23:07Speaker 5: The reason why this is really important to your investigation
- 23:11Speaker 5: understanding motive that I'll get to in a moment here
- 23:15Speaker 5: is that I believe that if I've got the dates
- 23:18Speaker 5: right here, that that event was announced one week before
- 23:22Speaker 5: it happened, and we've got the reporting from over the
- 23:25Speaker 5: weekend that said that the killer, the accused killer now
- 23:29Speaker 5: expressed views with his family at a dinner table, and
- 23:35Speaker 5: I don't know what the timeline is between when that
- 23:38Speaker 5: happened was it hours or was it days?
- 23:42Speaker 4: I mean, clearly it had to be at least a
- 23:43Speaker 4: couple of days, if not less. And if he also
- 23:46Speaker 4: expressed this opinion that he had an opportunity to take
- 23:50Speaker 4: our Kirk and was going to do it, well, when
- 23:53Speaker 4: was that message transmitted from this point.
- 23:56Speaker 3: That Charlie was killed.
- 23:57Speaker 6: This is the troubling part of the investigation. And as
- 24:00Speaker 6: I see it now, there appeared to have been multiple
- 24:03Speaker 6: warning signs you just laid out some of them. There
- 24:06Speaker 6: were people in his network, friends and family who had
- 24:10Speaker 6: stated that he had become more political, that he had
- 24:14Speaker 6: become at some parts. I believe some of his coworkers
- 24:18Speaker 6: had stated that he had kind of detached himself when
- 24:21Speaker 6: the topic of politics came up and walked away from them.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Family members said he'd become more political, leading us to
- 24:28Speaker 6: believe that this ideology had infected him and had taken over,
- 24:34Speaker 6: and he was just intent. It appears from the data
- 24:37Speaker 6: we've accumulated and the channel.
- 24:39Speaker 2: And that.
- 24:41Speaker 6: Note, which we have some evidence may have existed before,
- 24:45Speaker 6: based on the communications in that channel, that his target
- 24:49Speaker 6: was obviously going to be Charlie, and that people knew
- 24:51Speaker 6: in advance. The question is again, I which want to
- 24:53Speaker 6: go back to what you had asked before. Did they know,
- 24:56Speaker 6: were they sure this, or did they hear this and
- 24:59Speaker 6: just write it off. That's what we're going to have
- 25:01Speaker 6: to find out, and that's what we're investigating now. Bill,
- 25:05Speaker 6: This investigation has just begun. This isn't even the beginning
- 25:09Speaker 6: of the beginning. You know, Yes, we have a subject
- 25:12Speaker 6: in custody. You know, everybody's innocential proven guilty in our
- 25:15Speaker 6: constitutional republic. However, this is not done by any stretch.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Our men and women out there in the Bureau have
- 25:22Speaker 6: worked tirelessly all week and I just got back to
- 25:25Speaker 6: d C last night, and you know, Kash and I
- 25:28Speaker 6: were out there on the scene. We walked the scene,
- 25:31Speaker 6: we went through every single component of it. We saw
- 25:33Speaker 6: the evidence up close and personal, and we went out
- 25:36Speaker 6: there to be able to make command decisions with our
- 25:38Speaker 6: team on the ground. And I think the process, although
- 25:43Speaker 6: not perfect, of course, I think the process went pretty
- 25:46Speaker 6: well considered. We got him in thirty thirty three.
- 25:50Speaker 1: You listen to Bongino there, and I think one of
- 25:52Speaker 1: the things that he's also talking about is is there
- 25:55Speaker 1: accountability for those that knew or may have known what
- 25:59Speaker 1: was happening here. You go back to that key phrase.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I believe some of his coworkers say that he had
- 26:04Speaker 1: kind of attached himself, and then you move from there.
- 26:08Speaker 1: He referenced the note that Robinson allegedly left behind, pointing
- 26:12Speaker 1: that out out that it may have existed quote before,
- 26:16Speaker 1: based on communications law enforcement has recovered. He indicated the
- 26:23Speaker 1: totality of everything and makes it clear that quote his
- 26:27Speaker 1: target was obviously going to be Charlie Kirk, and that
- 26:31Speaker 1: the people around him knew that that was going to
- 26:34Speaker 1: be his target in advance. So where do you go
- 26:39Speaker 1: from here? What Bongino said is the investigators are now
- 26:43Speaker 1: having to look at this. Did they know, were they
- 26:45Speaker 1: sure of this? Or do they hear this and just
- 26:48Speaker 1: write it off. You put all of this together, and
- 26:53Speaker 1: then you put it back to the Utah Governor Spencer
- 26:57Speaker 1: Cox indication that Charlie Kirk's quote had not only left
- 27:02Speaker 1: leaning political beliefs, but clearly disliked Charlie Kirk and was
- 27:06Speaker 1: telling people that. So I have to say, there needs
- 27:12Speaker 1: to be some sort of accountability, There has to be
- 27:16Speaker 1: some sort of obviously very good and in depth investigation.
- 27:22Speaker 3: What we also know is there's no.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Doubt that this is the guy. The FBI confirming the
- 27:28Speaker 1: DNA found at the scene of Charlie kirk'sassination's hiding spot
- 27:32Speaker 1: matches the suspect, and apparently he had confessed to his
- 27:36Speaker 1: family and to some friends, including in a chat room.
- 27:40Speaker 1: And so with a confirmation now that the DNA samples
- 27:45Speaker 1: founded the spot where Charlie Kirk's session hid positively matches
- 27:49Speaker 1: suspect now in con custody, that also is going to
- 27:53Speaker 1: move us forward on another point, and that is on.
- 27:57Speaker 3: The death penalty.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Cashpittel saying this on Fox and Friends about the DNA matching,
- 28:03Speaker 1: and I.
- 28:04Speaker 7: Can report today that the DNA hits from the towel
- 28:08Speaker 7: that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on
- 28:11Speaker 7: the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody.
- 28:16Speaker 1: There it is Cash Betel telling you that not only
- 28:21Speaker 1: did these suspects towel that wrapped around the assassin's weapon
- 28:24Speaker 1: match the screwdriver left on the UVA rooftop, both matched
- 28:28Speaker 1: the suspect already in custody. This is incredible work, by
- 28:33Speaker 1: the way, by the men and women in law enforcement. Robinson,
- 28:36Speaker 1: by the way, also were a note saying declaring that
- 28:39Speaker 1: he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and
- 28:42Speaker 1: that he was going to take it. Patel went on
- 28:44Speaker 1: to say as well, saying, quote, we have since learned
- 28:48Speaker 1: the note, even though it was destroyed, We have found
- 28:50Speaker 1: forensic evidence of the note, and we have confirmed that
- 28:54Speaker 1: what the note said because our aggressive interview posture at
- 28:57Speaker 1: the FBI. We also know that further found on the
- 29:01Speaker 1: thirty caliber bolt action rifle with a scope believed to
- 29:04Speaker 1: have been used in the shooting is still being analyzed
- 29:07Speaker 1: to determine its links to Robinson as well. Pattel also
- 29:11Speaker 1: confirmed that Robinson is still not cooperating with investigators. I
- 29:16Speaker 1: got to say, I am very thankful for cash Hotel,
- 29:19Speaker 1: for Dan Bongino, for all of the men and women
- 29:22Speaker 1: in law enforcement that have been working on this case
- 29:24Speaker 1: at the local, state and at the federal level. What
- 29:27Speaker 1: they were able to do to find him, and what
- 29:29Speaker 1: they've been able to do to make it very clear
- 29:31Speaker 1: he did. What he did is incredible police work. God
- 29:36Speaker 1: bless him for what they're doing, and God blessed Donald Trump,
- 29:39Speaker 1: by the way, for making sure that he picked the
- 29:42Speaker 1: right people for these jobs. Don't forget share this podcast.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Please with your family and your friends where whoever they are,
- 29:50Speaker 1: and I will see you back here tomorrow
