- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, okay, here's what I want
- 2:20Speaker 1: to share with you. Stop complaining. So I had to
- 2:29Speaker 1: let you see how I let that one sit for
- 2:31Speaker 1: a second. Stop complaining. Do you realize without us even
- 2:41Speaker 1: thinking about it, oftentimes we just complain about stuff and
- 2:49Speaker 1: it comes up in such subtle forms. Man, I don't
- 2:54Speaker 1: know why they're still letting that lady work there. Man,
- 2:56Speaker 1: If they don't fire this woman, man, I don't know
- 2:58Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. She driving me praise. She always
- 3:03Speaker 1: got something to say. I bet to day though, the
- 3:09Speaker 1: way I'm feeling right now, I bet she'd been not
- 3:11Speaker 1: saying nothing to me today. M yeah, yeah, because day
- 3:17Speaker 1: it today it. I'm sick of her running her mouth.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Last time she said something to me, I should have
- 3:24Speaker 1: said something to it. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 3:27Speaker 1: just giving you a small example of how it starts
- 3:31Speaker 1: to snowball once you start to complain. It's it just
- 3:37Speaker 1: carries over into so many things. Man, Stop complaining about
- 3:41Speaker 1: your car, Stop complaining about your bus pass, Stop complaining
- 3:45Speaker 1: about your kids. Can't seem to get it together, Stop
- 3:48Speaker 1: complaining about your man can't seem to get it together.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Stop Have you noticed? I'm just asking, have
- 3:59Speaker 1: you noticed that in all of your complaining, it has
- 4:04Speaker 1: provided not one solution. The reason I'm telling you to
- 4:09Speaker 1: stop complaining because God is able. Because God is capable.
- 4:18Speaker 1: He is capable and able of fixing anything, capable and
- 4:25Speaker 1: able of curing anything, capable and able of allowing you
- 4:31Speaker 1: to get too adjusting to things, and capable and able
- 4:39Speaker 1: to strengthen you to get through and change anything. But
- 4:46Speaker 1: the key here is God is capable, and God is able.
- 4:51Speaker 1: A lot of times I find myself complaining because I
- 4:55Speaker 1: have not used my greatest asset, that's my relationship with God.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You all have one. Now. You may not have nurtured it,
- 5:04Speaker 1: but you have one because God created you as his child.
- 5:09Speaker 1: He's available to you now. The fact that you ain't
- 5:11Speaker 1: went to him. Okay, once again, who faughthers that? Stop
- 5:16Speaker 1: complaining until you strengthen your relationship with God and formulate
- 5:23Speaker 1: this relationship. You don't have enough weapons. You ain't got
- 5:31Speaker 1: a big enough shield to fight this thing called life.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It just keeps coming. Man, And unless you develop a
- 5:38Speaker 1: relationship with God, you need a partner in all of this.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Maybe you got another route you're gonna take. But every
- 5:46Speaker 1: successful person I know personally has a relationship with God.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I have some really really some people that's kind of
- 6:00Speaker 1: up there in the success term in terms of business
- 6:03Speaker 1: and money and statute. I'm just talking about that portion
- 6:08Speaker 1: of success. And then I have a lot of people
- 6:10Speaker 1: who are very successful in their spiritual life, who have
- 6:15Speaker 1: become great men of God and women of God. But
- 6:20Speaker 1: look at all of them, and all of them have
- 6:22Speaker 1: substantial amounts of you know, possessions and things like that. Also,
- 6:29Speaker 1: most successful people I know have that even if you
- 6:34Speaker 1: saw them never with a big lot of house and
- 6:37Speaker 1: a lot of money, or stuff like that. They had
- 6:40Speaker 1: so much respect, so much love, so much power was
- 6:46Speaker 1: given them from people that their life was rich in
- 6:51Speaker 1: that area, you know, like a man Nu the King
- 6:55Speaker 1: or something like that, or Gandhi or somebody who lived
- 6:58Speaker 1: their life in service, or Nelson Mandela who came out
- 7:02Speaker 1: and just man, people put stuff at their feet because
- 7:05Speaker 1: of their service. So all successful people I know have that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: Every last one of these people that I know, they
- 7:11Speaker 1: have relationship with God. They used the tool that was
- 7:16Speaker 1: available to them to give them the strength, the bullets,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the arrows, the slings, the shield to fight this thing
- 7:24Speaker 1: called life and have the most valuable partner right there
- 7:27Speaker 1: by their side. They heavily father God because he will
- 7:30Speaker 1: help you get through this thing called life. Man, stop
- 7:33Speaker 1: complaining all the time. It's not fixing anything. Why don't
- 7:36Speaker 1: you do yourself a favor and strengthen your relationship with God? Man?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Why can I never get over? Well you have not
- 7:43Speaker 1: because you asked not. Man, how come I always got problems? Well,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you keep trying to solve them yourself and taking them
- 7:49Speaker 1: to your friends. You keep trying to do them with
- 7:52Speaker 1: your own thought process. Who are you? I keep telling you? Man,
- 7:56Speaker 1: You're going through stuff you ain't got no business going through.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And if it's you going through something over and over
- 8:03Speaker 1: and over and over, and the same problem keep coming
- 8:06Speaker 1: back to bite you again, all that's saying is you
- 8:10Speaker 1: still ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He's not gonna make you have one with him. He
- 8:16Speaker 1: is a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life
- 8:20Speaker 1: when you invite him in. But for those who do
- 8:25Speaker 1: invite him, men, they have a distinct advantage on their
- 8:28Speaker 1: road to success, a distinct advantage. You can do it
- 8:33Speaker 1: without him. Trust me, you can. How far you get.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I can't promise you nothing, how well you handle it
- 8:40Speaker 1: when you arrived there, I can't promise you nothing. How
- 8:44Speaker 1: long you're gonna stay there, I can't promise you nothing.
- 8:48Speaker 1: How difficult it's going to be without him, I can't
- 8:51Speaker 1: give you that. It's going to be far more difficult.
- 8:54Speaker 1: But you can. Something can happen, and you know, receive
- 8:58Speaker 1: a measure of success. And you think you and this
- 9:01Speaker 1: move you made, and you can describe it as I
- 9:03Speaker 1: got lucky. I happened to be in the right place
- 9:06Speaker 1: at the right time. I got lucky. Lucky is usually
- 9:10Speaker 1: how other people describe other people's success. Poor, he was lucky,
- 9:14Speaker 1: he was right there. Well, let me tell you what
- 9:16Speaker 1: luck is. Luck is when hard work bumps up into opportunity.
- 9:21Speaker 1: If you've been working hard as something, an opportunity presents
- 9:23Speaker 1: itself that comes a match. That's not luck. But now,
- 9:29Speaker 1: if you haven't done that on a repetitive enough basis,
- 9:32Speaker 1: that opportunity could present itself one time. You got to reconnect.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Stop complaining, man, come on, listen to me. Stop complaining.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It hasn't fixed a single thing in your life. And
- 9:44Speaker 1: if your chronic complainer, it's because you really really have
- 9:47Speaker 1: not fixed your relationship with God. He'll smooth it out
- 9:50Speaker 1: for you. That I can tell you for a fact.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I know that for a fact. He smoved mine out.
- 9:55Speaker 1: All right, let's go, everybody. It's your shooting James around
- 10:03Speaker 1: with the Steve Hobby Morning Show about to come on
- 10:06Speaker 1: right now. And I am so proud of you. You
- 10:09Speaker 1: made it through Monday. You made it through Tuesday. And
- 10:12Speaker 1: look at you all up in a hump day. Put
- 10:15Speaker 1: your hands together for she bad? What's up? Humpy day?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Put the hump in your back? Good morning, Jack morning everyone,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Good morning baby, it's hump day. It's a hump Day.
- 10:27Speaker 1: It's hump day. Call up around hump day, baby, that's right, Jaan.
- 10:30Speaker 1: He turned my Micah yeah, and I'm doing a humpty dance.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Well people, wait, My next humper on the show is Junior?
- 10:42Speaker 1: What up? Humper A humping That's what I'm doing, humping
- 10:47Speaker 1: around morning everybody, King of Franks and a humper himself.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Y'all give it up for time because I'm about to
- 11:00Speaker 1: That was them jam. That was the jam. That was yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and nobody knew Tupac was in that room, Pokahead and
- 11:12Speaker 1: rock Yeah, yeah, yeah, but he could tell he wasn't
- 11:16Speaker 1: gonna be that long. Ye when you see the look
- 11:19Speaker 1: at Tupo, he ain't gonna be he got win none
- 11:21Speaker 1: of that stuff. They knows. I ain't putting these wigs
- 11:26Speaker 1: on and I ain't wearing a low. I'm gonna be
- 11:27Speaker 1: out here shirtless. I'm gonna be late next time y'all
- 11:35Speaker 1: see me. I'll be shirtless. Okay. How you're feeling today? Check?
- 11:41Speaker 1: I'm good, so good today. Yesterday I felt really bad.
- 11:45Speaker 1: But you know when the mic come home, it's time
- 11:47Speaker 1: to go to world really bad. All Yeah, just my
- 11:52Speaker 1: job and just my job, because see, I know y'all,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I know y'all, I know how y'all are. I know
- 11:56Speaker 1: who y'all got in the glass, and y'll break the glass.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You got earthquake and shell underwood in a glass and
- 12:03Speaker 1: break the glass and then they'll be here. So yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I know how you do. And then you can put
- 12:13Speaker 1: earthquake and nobody would know the difference because all you're
- 12:18Speaker 1: not gonna do a girl like that. Yeah, that's the
- 12:27Speaker 1: thing I lack about Shell. Shella do a joke about
- 12:29Speaker 1: Shell before you do a joke and do a better
- 12:31Speaker 1: joke than you. You can't she beat out need Brown.
- 12:43Speaker 1: But I'm feeling good because last night I had my
- 12:46Speaker 1: farewell party at the Jay Spot club on my family
- 12:49Speaker 1: came out. Man, they dogged me out, but we had
- 12:52Speaker 1: a good time. And while I did with this Chemo,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it closed up to like can handle
- 12:56Speaker 1: us because trying to deal with both of us, so
- 12:58Speaker 1: it looks like a little roast j D. It is
- 13:01Speaker 1: beyond a rope. They went in beyond a rope. But Jay,
- 13:07Speaker 1: now you said farewell, there's farewell to the club. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna deal with the chemo, Carla, and then I'll
- 13:15Speaker 1: see where I'm at for a while. But right now
- 13:17Speaker 1: I gotta deal with the chemo. Okay, all right, all right?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Well you strong yet a chemo club? Are you? Are
- 13:24Speaker 1: you for real? Right now? Does that really come out
- 13:26Speaker 1: of your mouth? All right? We got a great show
- 13:30Speaker 1: lined up for you today. Coming up at thirty two
- 13:32Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna talk about what couple's longest
- 13:36Speaker 1: running arguments have been. That's gonna be inside something funny, guys,
- 13:40Speaker 1: who get ready for that? Right after this you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to Stow All right, guys, so it's time for something
- 13:48Speaker 1: funny now. You know, no matter what it is you
- 13:51Speaker 1: and your significant other argue about, there's a good chance
- 13:54Speaker 1: the thing you're fighting about is something most long term
- 13:57Speaker 1: couples deal with. Now, this is according to doctor Pepper Schwartz,
- 14:01Speaker 1: who studies love. I like that she studies love, she
- 14:05Speaker 1: studies sexuality, and she studies commitment and works to help
- 14:09Speaker 1: couples in long term relationships. The longest Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:14Speaker 1: so she's she's kind of an expert in that field.
- 14:16Speaker 1: The longest run For the longest running argument, I'm trying
- 14:21Speaker 1: to the longest arguments. The longest running arguments are the
- 14:24Speaker 1: ones with the most at stake. Okay, they're the ones
- 14:28Speaker 1: with no conclusion that keep coming up. And she said
- 14:31Speaker 1: they are the most common fights couples have. Here we go, okay,
- 14:36Speaker 1: here we go. Extended family drama. That's it. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: let me explain that we get to choose our partner,
- 14:45Speaker 1: but we're stuck with their family, okay, for better or worse.
- 14:50Speaker 1: From the broke brother who always asked for money, to
- 14:53Speaker 1: the father in law who drinks too much. These family
- 14:57Speaker 1: issues lead to fights because there's never an end to it.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I don't want your mama over here, but she my mama,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and she can come over here over there and see
- 15:07Speaker 1: yours just much my house and your damn house and mama, mama.
- 15:12Speaker 1: You're not gonna see that there and talk about my
- 15:14Speaker 1: damn mama. Now, you're not got your mamma on your
- 15:16Speaker 1: side of the house coming all over the damn How
- 15:20Speaker 1: she can walk in your room in the bathroom outside
- 15:22Speaker 1: of my mama. You ain't gonna talk to your mama
- 15:24Speaker 1: in the garage. If you want to talk to your mom,
- 15:27Speaker 1: that's one of you. That's the one that's one and
- 15:31Speaker 1: that's it's never ending. Right. Here's another one. Ongoing day
- 15:34Speaker 1: to day frustrations, for instance, small but lingering frustrations over
- 15:39Speaker 1: not doing the dishes or taking out the trash. They
- 15:43Speaker 1: can lead to really dish and I'm gonna here buying
- 15:46Speaker 1: all approaches now I'm working. I'm buying approaches. Now I
- 15:49Speaker 1: gotta watch the damn dishes too. Really, where are you
- 15:52Speaker 1: the one I'm not working? I'm tired. I'm tired. I
- 15:58Speaker 1: don't feel you are too tired, you too tardy me.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I'm a contractor. I'm a building contractor. I am not
- 16:06Speaker 1: a dishwatching. That's why I got you did the damn
- 16:09Speaker 1: the dish watching. You know what? You know what, Raymond,
- 16:12Speaker 1: it's gonna be paper plates tomorrow. We're gonna solve this.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Don't be no plates in here. I eat on the
- 16:17Speaker 1: way here. How about that? I ain't got her plate.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I'm so shad you say. That's that's another argument. Okay,
- 16:29Speaker 1: that's another one. All right, here we go. This is
- 16:31Speaker 1: a big one right here. Drifting apart, you know, like
- 16:35Speaker 1: when you feel your connection isn't as strong as it
- 16:37Speaker 1: used to be. That could lead to resentment. It could arguments.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I know, you ain't trying to kiss me and my mom?
- 16:47Speaker 1: Did you? But we don't do that now? Kissing that mouth?
- 16:54Speaker 1: What is your kissing? Me? Disgusted? Oh, I can't get you.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I can't slip you some tongue and that would you?
- 17:04Speaker 1: I wish you were You didn't change, You didn't change. Yeah,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. You put ting my mam.
- 17:10Speaker 1: But I swear I want a divorce. Don't you do that? Yeah?
- 17:13Speaker 1: We were working on trying to pick on the cheek
- 17:16Speaker 1: on the backs. Can a patch you on the backside?
- 17:17Speaker 1: How about that? No backs, but on the backside. I
- 17:21Speaker 1: can't do that either. You were like that they're heading? Yeah, yeah,
- 17:33Speaker 1: here here's another big one. Conflicting parenting philosophies, So couples
- 17:39Speaker 1: won't always agree about the right thing to do when
- 17:42Speaker 1: it comes to their kids, and this can lead to
- 17:44Speaker 1: long standing fights. You know, the boy need his ass beat. Okay,
- 17:48Speaker 1: he needs his ass beat. Look listen the boy. What
- 17:52Speaker 1: did he do? What did he do? I'm sitting there
- 17:55Speaker 1: watching TV. He changed the damn challenge. I need you
- 17:57Speaker 1: to go in there and beat this behind, just to
- 18:00Speaker 1: be the child for changing theme, for changing the channel.
- 18:03Speaker 1: What around with you if you let if you let
- 18:06Speaker 1: this go, you let other stuff. We next thing, you know,
- 18:08Speaker 1: he'll be cussing you out. Let Let's let's let's start
- 18:12Speaker 1: with it. You watch too much TV anyway to do
- 18:16Speaker 1: with it. But you don't even need to be Why
- 18:19Speaker 1: don't you go to bed and get ready for work
- 18:21Speaker 1: in the morning. I know, said, oh, I'm a grown
- 18:30Speaker 1: ass woman and woman the woman. But he said he
- 18:40Speaker 1: wanted him to go in there and beat the ball. Yeah,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I thought he was a woman woman about to fight
- 18:47Speaker 1: about who the man. We're so used to being a woman.
- 18:51Speaker 1: That is an argument, always the woman. Let's that's I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: always the woman? All right, that's another yeah, jealousy. All right,
- 19:00Speaker 1: we was at the party. I need to know. You
- 19:02Speaker 1: need to tell me what was so funny because I
- 19:05Speaker 1: like laughing too, Jennifer saying something, I mean, Jennifer jok
- 19:11Speaker 1: and I know, Jennifer, Jennifer, ain't that damn funny? My laughing?
- 19:17Speaker 1: You were not only when you laugh you have your
- 19:19Speaker 1: head back laughing. Just two kids, just here you kids
- 19:24Speaker 1: and you sholder grabbing laughing. I'm saying, yeah, show the jicken.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I don't even know I can go to bed, I
- 19:31Speaker 1: can go to bed. Tell me what the joke was.
- 19:35Speaker 1: You tell me Jennifer joke, and then I'm gonna see
- 19:38Speaker 1: about Hey, I'm gonna wait for the punch laugh ahead ahead,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Jennifer talking about Jennifer was talking about somebody. Hell, get
- 19:48Speaker 1: to the joke joke Joe to the funny about she said,
- 19:54Speaker 1: not not said, I haven't known this. I haven't known
- 19:59Speaker 1: this girl almost thirty as men. I went to school together.
- 20:02Speaker 1: She ain't never told me a knock knock, knock knack
- 20:05Speaker 1: what I needed to do, almost him, knock knock, knock
- 20:08Speaker 1: your answer, knock knock both of y'all out. And that
- 20:17Speaker 1: was another argument. Okay, but last last one. We don't
- 20:22Speaker 1: have but a little bit of ton uh financial stress.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's huge, Yeah, you take it. So you want to
- 20:29Speaker 1: tell me exactly we're fifteen hun dollar win? Can you
- 20:31Speaker 1: explain that to me? I don't I don't know what.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I don't know what. Well you you got you got phone,
- 20:37Speaker 1: new bags and shoes in there. Yeah, but I don't
- 20:40Speaker 1: I don't really look yeah, yeah, all right, we gotta go.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Well I don't like that, Carla, Now we gotta go
- 20:52Speaker 1: all right, Look coming up next nephew would run that
- 20:55Speaker 1: prank back. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harpy Morning Show.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment news,
- 21:04Speaker 1: some really sad news to report to famed author Tony
- 21:08Speaker 1: Morrison has passed away. Yes, that's a that's a big
- 21:12Speaker 1: loss right there, and other entertainment news. Tyrese throws shade
- 21:16Speaker 1: at the rock again again. Yea, let it go, yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 1: let it go with your candid asses, let it go.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But right now it is time for the nephew would
- 21:29Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for us? Nest
- 21:32Speaker 1: church parking lot, church parking lot? See it women church?
- 21:44Speaker 1: Got it parking all right? When you pull your car
- 21:50Speaker 1: in the parking come on? Hello, oh yeah, Brendan, Hey,
- 22:00Speaker 1: how to reach you? How you doing? Uh, Brita. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: don't want to make sure I got the right person.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You're the person that you work at. The First of all,
- 22:07Speaker 1: I go to uh, my name, my name Calvin, brother Calvin.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But I go to Saint Missionary Baptist Church where you Ok? Yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: so yeah, so everything everything's fine up. Well, I got
- 22:21Speaker 1: a little issue and I'm trying to get to the
- 22:23Speaker 1: bottom of it. Now. You work in the before service start.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You work in the parking lot on yeh yeah, and
- 22:32Speaker 1: you tell people where the parking stuff right right right?
- 22:36Speaker 1: What are you looking for? Some employment? You want to
- 22:38Speaker 1: you want to join us? Nah? Nah nah to see
- 22:41Speaker 1: the issue I got, man, I've been dealing with this
- 22:44Speaker 1: probably about the last two months. Nine Okay, hold on,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to take So the problem is when I
- 22:50Speaker 1: come to the church last couple of months, man, I've

- 29:20Speaker 1: Dave Harvey Morning Show. Well, some sad news to begin
- 29:27Speaker 1: our entertainment news report today. Famed author Tony Morrison has died.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Miss Morrison was eighty eight years old. She passed away
- 29:35Speaker 1: at a New York City hospital, according to her publisher,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and there's no word yet on the cause of her death,
- 29:41Speaker 1: but her family said she'd experienced a short illness, which
- 29:45Speaker 1: lets us um know that she didn't suffer very very long. Um.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Miss Morrison's first novel, The Bluest Eye, was published back
- 29:53Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction
- 29:57Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty eight for Beloved and remember Beloved, Oprah

- 30:06Speaker 1: she won the Nobel Piece the Nobel Prize for Literature
- 30:09Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety three. Her most recent work was twenty
- 30:12Speaker 1: and fifteens, God Saved the Child. Miss Morrison leaves behind
- 30:16Speaker 1: two children and we hear, of course at the Steve

- 30:23Speaker 1: She wrote, she is the most highly decorated African American
- 30:31Speaker 1: author in history. Wow, in the history. Yeah wow, A
- 30:34Speaker 1: legends true allegend man. And to writing. You know you
- 30:39Speaker 1: we all right, but that's a hard job to stay
- 30:43Speaker 1: stay focused like that and kind of lonely sometimes. Yeah
- 30:46Speaker 1: it is. Yeah. You write by yourself and you have
- 30:49Speaker 1: all these characters. You have to use your imagination. Yeah yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 1: very yeah, very much so. Talent. Yeah, r I p
- 30:57Speaker 1: Miss Tony Morrison and other entertainment news. Now, remember back
- 31:02Speaker 1: when Tyrese was mad at I mean he was really mad.
- 31:05Speaker 1: He was like big mad at Dwayne the Rock Johnson
- 31:09Speaker 1: for doing the fast and the Furious spinoff, remember that
- 31:12Speaker 1: all over social media and everything. Well, now that Hobbs
- 31:16Speaker 1: and Shaw's box office numbers are in and it was
- 31:18Speaker 1: number one over the weekend, Tyrese wasted no time throwing shade.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Tyrese shared a screenshot of an Instagram headline with the
- 31:26Speaker 1: title Hobbs and Shaw has lowest Fast and Furious box
- 31:29Speaker 1: office opening since Tokyo Drift. Then he wrote in a caption,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I have to show my respect for one thing he tried.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Folks called me a hater and attacked me for speaking out.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Breaking up the family clearly doesn't have the value that
- 31:42Speaker 1: one would assume it does. You know what, maybe maybe,
- 31:47Speaker 1: oh you know what, maybe, just maybe the Rock and
- 31:50Speaker 1: the crew will come dance with us again for Fast ten.
- 31:54Speaker 1: We can all hug it out and get back to
- 31:56Speaker 1: giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for
- 31:59Speaker 1: twenty years what they want. Not hating, I'm just pointing
- 32:04Speaker 1: out the facts. Shortly after the post, uh Tyrise deleted it. Well,
- 32:10Speaker 1: you know what I saw that was not hating or
- 32:12Speaker 1: was it hating? Which one wasn't? I saw Hobson Sean
- 32:15Speaker 1: It's a great movie and not anywhere in the movie.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Did anybody else well where Tyre? Yeah, And nobody asked
- 32:22Speaker 1: what are he coming on scenes? No, nobody yelled at hell, no,
- 32:29Speaker 1: I want my money. That Tyree ain't in the movie.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So he mad because he's mad because they broke off.
- 32:38Speaker 1: He wanted them to say with the Fast and Furious
- 32:42Speaker 1: family and not break off into their own name. He's
- 32:45Speaker 1: twenty five millions, not a movie guy, but he's the shade.
- 32:49Speaker 1: He threw. Was saying that even though the movie was
- 32:51Speaker 1: number one, it didn't make what a lot of money.
- 32:55Speaker 1: So that's the shade. Yeah, that's what he's saying. Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 1: and it's still number one. It's still made what sixty
- 33:05Speaker 1: point eight million dollars? Sixty point eight I mean that's
- 33:08Speaker 1: a lot. You can't, you know, snub your nose at
- 33:11Speaker 1: that figure, you know, right, you're right? So yeah, well
- 33:15Speaker 1: I'm Jay. Let's let's get to the news. Please, we're
- 33:18Speaker 1: gonna move Tyry. Let's see how you ted a Penegras movie.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Do anyway? It is time for me. We do love you, Tyre.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Turn off Jade, you can do that. It's time for
- 33:30Speaker 1: the news with missus An trip By now investigating the
- 33:35Speaker 1: recent mass shooting in North Carolina, north of California at
- 33:39Speaker 1: the annual Gilroy Garlic Festival. Remember that took place a
- 33:41Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. They're investigating that case now as
- 33:44Speaker 1: an active domestic terrorism It's already say that the white
- 33:47Speaker 1: gunman who killed three people and wounded many others on
- 33:50Speaker 1: July twenty eighth had a list of other attacks he
- 33:52Speaker 1: was superior to be planning, some on federal buildings, political organizations,
- 33:56Speaker 1: and religious institutions. The FEDS are also treating the killings
- 33:59Speaker 1: in a Passo the same Twenty two people were killed
- 34:02Speaker 1: in that attack, also by a white gunman who's suspected
- 34:05Speaker 1: of authorizing a racist to anti Hispanic manifesto. Meanwhile, officials
- 34:09Speaker 1: and sisters are still not sure about the motive for
- 34:12Speaker 1: the nine killings in Dayton, Ohio, where the gunman killed
- 34:15Speaker 1: his own sister, but that six of the nine people
- 34:17Speaker 1: shot to death were black. The FEDS say they don't
- 34:20Speaker 1: know why that happened. Meanwhile, President Trump has scheduled to
- 34:23Speaker 1: travel to both Dayton and Alpasso today. He's expected to
- 34:26Speaker 1: run to some residents, however, who blame his rhetoric for
- 34:28Speaker 1: the recent rash of deadly attacks. Including presidential hopeful and
- 34:32Speaker 1: El Paso native bed or Roar immigrants, specifically who he's
- 34:35Speaker 1: described as rapists and criminals, warning of an invasion, talking
- 34:39Speaker 1: about an infestation. He is in large part responsible for
- 34:43Speaker 1: what has taken place. He's invited violence. These are the
- 34:48Speaker 1: consequences for his actions. Many residents of El Paso were
- 34:52Speaker 1: incensed after Trump gave erroneous crime statistics about their city
- 34:55Speaker 1: and Dayton, Ohio may Or Nan Walley, She's got some questions. Look,
- 34:59Speaker 1: I'm disappointed with remarks. I mean, I think they've fell
- 35:02Speaker 1: really short. He mentioned like issues one time. I think,
- 35:07Speaker 1: you know, watching the president over the past few years
- 35:08Speaker 1: on the issues of guns, he's been I don't know
- 35:11Speaker 1: if he knows what he believes. Frankert, we will see
- 35:14Speaker 1: what happens today. Barneys is closing its stores in Chicago,
- 35:18Speaker 1: Las Vegas, and Seattle. They're keeping about six other stores open.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Barney's New York was in the news a few years
- 35:23Speaker 1: ago when black customers complained that they were profiled and
- 35:26Speaker 1: followed around after making purchases, with a few accusing store
- 35:30Speaker 1: employees of actually claiming their credit cards didn't belong to
- 35:33Speaker 1: them and even calling the cops. On them after making
- 35:36Speaker 1: legitimate purchases. Sadly, the literary and black communities of morning
- 35:41Speaker 1: the death this week of Tony Morrison, who died of
- 35:43Speaker 1: pneumonia in New York City at age eighty eight on Monday.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Tony Morrison originally from Lorraine, Ohio. Her given name was
- 35:49Speaker 1: Chloe Wafford. She became the first black woman to win
- 35:52Speaker 1: the Nobel Prize for Literature in nineteen ninety three. Has
- 35:56Speaker 1: never been entertainment for me. It is in the work
- 36:01Speaker 1: I have done for most of my adult life. I
- 36:04Speaker 1: believe that one of the principal ways in which we acquire,
- 36:10Speaker 1: hold and digest information is via narrative that was part
- 36:15Speaker 1: of a Nobel speech. Tony Morrison dead at eighty eight.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:21Speaker 1: to show? Okay, So what is this? Okay, Junior? First poetry?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Now you're going deep and you're going to interpret fortune
- 36:32Speaker 1: cookie sayings? What is going on? I got other talents.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I'm just showing y'all how deep I am. Oh, y'all
- 36:39Speaker 1: don't even know what fortune cookies mean. See y'all be
- 36:42Speaker 1: looking at it. Y'all throw the paper away, But these
- 36:44Speaker 1: really means some stuff, and I can I can interpret.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Oh okay, well, I'm gonna tell you I just ate
- 36:49Speaker 1: Chinese food not too long ago. So yeah, and you
- 36:52Speaker 1: didn't understand your fortune. That's why we here. So okay. Um.
- 36:56Speaker 1: This one said a beautiful, smart, and loving person will
- 37:00Speaker 1: be coming into your life. What that really saying is
- 37:03Speaker 1: he's about to cheat on you. That's what that means.
- 37:08Speaker 1: That's what I got. I don't know how y'all didn't
- 37:10Speaker 1: get it. Wow, that's what I do. What about this one?
- 37:14Speaker 1: It says all your hard work will soon pay off.
- 37:17Speaker 1: What that really means is your personal training is telling
- 37:19Speaker 1: you you lost one pound. Congratulations. Congratulations. That's all that
- 37:24Speaker 1: really means. These are fortune cookie readings that Junior is interpreting.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I got. Okay. This one says, he who expects no
- 37:31Speaker 1: gratitude shall never be disappointed. I like that one. I
- 37:35Speaker 1: like that. I know you wouldn't like it till I
- 37:37Speaker 1: tell you what it means. What it means is you're
- 37:39Speaker 1: gonna write the report, but the supervisor is gonna take
- 37:42Speaker 1: all the credit. That's exactly what that means. Yeah, I'll
- 37:49Speaker 1: tell you. I found this out yesterday when I was
- 37:52Speaker 1: reading that's what that's the talent. Ain't nobody else doing this.
- 37:57Speaker 1: You're not a good poet, So in your ass, in yours?
- 38:05Speaker 1: All right, here we go, Here we go. How about this?
- 38:07Speaker 1: When women hear this all the time, women hear this
- 38:10Speaker 1: all the time, trust your intuition. Well me and hit
- 38:13Speaker 1: is too. When we hear this saying, called upo lee,
- 38:15Speaker 1: she found out? What place? She found out? What a
- 38:20Speaker 1: new place is called? Police? Are you moved out on her? Wow?
- 38:26Speaker 1: Coming over them? All right, this one says observe all men,
- 38:32Speaker 1: but most of all yourself. What they're really saying, it's
- 38:36Speaker 1: saying to other people's business, and mind your damn own business.
- 38:41Speaker 1: That's that's what that really saying. This. Yeah, it comes
- 38:48Speaker 1: so natur Okay, all right, we've we've we've all heard
- 38:52Speaker 1: this one. It takes a lot of courage to admit
- 38:55Speaker 1: when you're wrong, or to admit fault. That that really
- 38:59Speaker 1: saying is stop lying and tell the truth. That's exactly
- 39:03Speaker 1: what that mean. I had a black woman tell me
- 39:05Speaker 1: that same thing. All right, we've all heard this one.
- 39:10Speaker 1: With age comes what wisdom? I don't really mean that
- 39:14Speaker 1: they tell that to all old people. They don't we
- 39:19Speaker 1: don't have enough to say to them. And thank you.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I think you might have talent. Fortune pie, yeah, fortune
- 39:28Speaker 1: cookie sayings with Junior. All right, coming up next to
- 39:30Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour today, the President plans to
- 39:35Speaker 1: visit El Paso and Dayton. They don't want him there though.
- 39:38Speaker 1: We'll talk about that right after that. You're listening to
- 39:42Speaker 1: show the President Trump is preparing to visit El Paso
- 39:48Speaker 1: and Dayton, Ohio. El Paso, Texas, of course, in Dayton, Ohio.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Today it appearances that will not be universally welcome as
- 39:55Speaker 1: the two cities grief from weekend mass shootings that left
- 39:58Speaker 1: thirty one people dead, yeah and many injured and rattled.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Former Texas Representative Beta O'Rourke said he doesn't think that
- 40:07Speaker 1: President Trump is welcome in El Paso in the wake
- 40:11Speaker 1: of the deadly shooting that left twenty two dead there.
- 40:15Speaker 1: This president, says O'Rourke, who helped create the hatred that
- 40:19Speaker 1: made Saturday's tragedy possible, should not come to El Paso.
- 40:23Speaker 1: That's what he tweeted. He says, we do not need
- 40:26Speaker 1: more division, We need to heal. He has no place here, guys.
- 40:30Speaker 1: El Paso is a city of about six hundred and
- 40:33Speaker 1: eighty three thousand people with a largely Latino population. In
- 40:37Speaker 1: the city of Dayton. Mayor Nan Whaley encouraged people to
- 40:42Speaker 1: protest who are unhappy under mister Trump's upcoming visit to
- 40:45Speaker 1: the city of about one hundred and forty thousand. The
- 40:48Speaker 1: mayor of Dayton went on to say President Trump made
- 40:51Speaker 1: his bed and now he has to lie in it. Yeah.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Dayton's mayor went on to say she would greet the
- 40:58Speaker 1: president in the official role as mayor, but she will
- 41:01Speaker 1: also tell him that his words weren't helpful and they
- 41:05Speaker 1: weren't you know, and they weren't. The people in Toledo
- 41:09Speaker 1: would be glad to see me. I'm going to Toledo
- 41:11Speaker 1: to meet all the people in there because they love It's.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Oh it's Dayton. Excuse me? Y? Yeah? Are you? Are
- 41:20Speaker 1: you bring? Do you have asked? The people in Deledo
- 41:23Speaker 1: love me and Deledo, So I'm going to Deledo. It's Dayton, Ohio.
- 41:27Speaker 1: What is what the what is that? Are you on
- 41:30Speaker 1: a machine or of some sort? No, I'm clearing my
- 41:33Speaker 1: nostrils before I talk. Well, he's gonna really see though,
- 41:37Speaker 1: Jay All jokes aside, He's gonna really really see, they
- 41:41Speaker 1: don't want you anywhere. No, they don't want you to
- 41:44Speaker 1: know where because it's your words that are so you know,
- 41:48Speaker 1: that are dividing this country. You know a lot of
- 41:50Speaker 1: people are blaming you, mister president, for you know, these
- 41:54Speaker 1: young guys you know that have the show. We have
- 41:59Speaker 1: said that on this show above. Just a matter of
- 42:01Speaker 1: time that somebody takes his words and use them. Yeah,
- 42:05Speaker 1: that's literally yeah, and that's what has happened. And um,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you know he's blaming it on mental illness and a
- 42:13Speaker 1: video game, but that's illness. They always go in. They
- 42:18Speaker 1: don't ever want to go, guns, never want to go.
- 42:22Speaker 1: But this is the president that said I can walk
- 42:23Speaker 1: down the street in New York. He said that and
- 42:27Speaker 1: he got elected. He got elected, Yeah, yeah, he got
- 42:32Speaker 1: He can't honestly think that he can go to a
- 42:35Speaker 1: city like El Paso, where you talked about Latinos and
- 42:39Speaker 1: you talked about immigrants, and it is a city that
- 42:42Speaker 1: is on the border of Texas and Mexico. So for
- 42:46Speaker 1: you to even think that those people want you there
- 42:50Speaker 1: this time, at this time, right now, it's just I
- 42:54Speaker 1: think he's unbelievable. But I think he is arrogant enough
- 42:57Speaker 1: to think that he surely really he is arrogant. And
- 43:02Speaker 1: now the mayor of El Paso, who was a Republican,
- 43:06Speaker 1: he is welcoming the president. He has no choice. Yeah. Yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: because and the president is expected to meet even in
- 43:17Speaker 1: Dayton and El Paso, to meet with local authorities, first responders,
- 43:21Speaker 1: especially the first responders. I mean, we have to say
- 43:24Speaker 1: hats off to them, the first responders um for a
- 43:27Speaker 1: job well done. But you know, especially in Dayton, Ohio, right,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and that many people can get hurt. Do you remember
- 43:34Speaker 1: when a sandy that storm Sandy hit the New Jersey
- 43:39Speaker 1: area and President yeah, superstorm Sandy, and when a President
- 43:44Speaker 1: Obama went to New Jersey and he met with Chris Christie.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Remember that. Yeah, you know, people were so upset about that.
- 43:52Speaker 1: But then so many people were like, you know, you
- 43:54Speaker 1: put your differences aside. Chris Christie was a Republican governor
- 43:58Speaker 1: at the time, you know, and as an Obama Democratic president,
- 44:01Speaker 1: they were able to come together with the meeting of
- 44:03Speaker 1: the minds, you know. Yeah, but it's yeah, yeah, but
- 44:07Speaker 1: a part of that too though, the local people, like
- 44:10Speaker 1: the mayor of El Paso, and they want federal dollars too. Yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? In New Jersey needed
- 44:16Speaker 1: federal dollars to help rebuild a Jersey shore, you know,
- 44:20Speaker 1: after Superstorm Sandy. So that's what the mayor of El
- 44:23Speaker 1: Paso is, right. So we'll see today, won't we. Yeah,
- 44:28Speaker 1: you see, artist turns out all right? Well, coming up next,
- 44:31Speaker 1: the nephew is here to make us smile again with
- 44:33Speaker 1: today's prank phone call that's coming up right after this.
- 44:36Speaker 1: You're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 44:41Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:43Speaker 1: letter for today, subject I can't believe how naive I am.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Wait till you hear this letter. But right now the
- 44:51Speaker 1: nephew is in the building with today's prank phone call.
- 44:54Speaker 1: What do you have for us today? Nevuh m m.
- 45:02Speaker 1: This is so mean. This is me again, Jay, your
- 45:06Speaker 1: new boss. This is so damn me. Well, let's see
- 45:10Speaker 1: how I mean. Come on, your new boss, let's run it. Hello. Hello,
- 45:16Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Jason place. Yester, how cannot help you? Hey, Jason,

- 45:39Speaker 1: doing great work. He's doing good. Okay, how is he is?
- 45:42Speaker 1: He coming along pretty good with everything? Oh? Man, he
- 45:45Speaker 1: picking up real good man. He learned to trade. I
- 45:47Speaker 1: mean he's picking up. Just let us love from me,
- 45:49Speaker 1: pick up excellent, young welcome. And here's how many moon
- 45:53Speaker 1: weeks of training out there? I will say probably about
- 45:55Speaker 1: another week or two. Well, we let him, you know,
- 45:58Speaker 1: put put him on his arm. Okay, think he'll handle
- 46:00Speaker 1: it efficiently? Oh yes, I think he would be a
- 46:03Speaker 1: great great employees. Okay, you've been with the company, how long?
- 46:07Speaker 1: Going on about seventeen years? Yeah, my records are telling
- 46:11Speaker 1: me somewhere around sixteen plus, right right, Okay, you've been
- 46:15Speaker 1: with us quite a while. And first of all, let
- 46:18Speaker 1: you know we're grateful of you, of the work that
- 46:19Speaker 1: you're putting in. Well, man, I appreciate a man made man.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I appreciate it. You have the company, man, and you
- 46:25Speaker 1: know being here to eat many years man. He let
- 46:27Speaker 1: you know, man, I love my company exactly. Listen, we
- 46:30Speaker 1: got a few adjustments we're gonna be making out there
- 46:33Speaker 1: on the plant. Here's what we're gonna do now, you say,
- 46:36Speaker 1: gonna be done in about a week or two? Yes,
- 46:38Speaker 1: about a week? Okay, here's here's what we're gonna do
- 46:41Speaker 1: on that particular day that he gets released. And you
- 46:45Speaker 1: you definitely know he's ready for everything. Um, I'm gonna
- 46:48Speaker 1: want you to give him your key card as well
- 46:51Speaker 1: as the key to your office. What man, I'm gonna
- 46:56Speaker 1: want you to give him your key card that gets
- 46:58Speaker 1: you actually onto the prod pretty and you have you
- 47:02Speaker 1: have your own parking space too, don't you? Yes? I do. Okay,
- 47:06Speaker 1: Now we're gonna need you to give it your key
- 47:09Speaker 1: card in your office key and um, well, we'll find
- 47:12Speaker 1: you another place to park. He's actually probably gonna be
- 47:14Speaker 1: parking in your space. Hold hold, what you mean you're
- 47:17Speaker 1: telling me to give him my key parking right, I'm
- 47:20Speaker 1: talking to your parking space, but your key card to
- 47:24Speaker 1: get you onto the property, a little bit electrical card there,
- 47:27Speaker 1: right that as well as your office. He's gonna actually
- 47:30Speaker 1: be taking over as project manager. No, no, sir, I'm
- 47:34Speaker 1: not giving up nothing, sir, nobody to think over the
- 47:37Speaker 1: pocket manager. Let's let's first of all, sir, let's do this.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Let's stone the language down. Okay, we're gonna find a
- 47:41Speaker 1: place for you, but for the time being, we're gonna
- 47:44Speaker 1: put you back into play until we find the game.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I'm fignd the place of my place right now. I'm
- 47:50Speaker 1: not moving from nowhere. That's akay. I'm not getting said
- 47:53Speaker 1: to sign me nothing. I got seventeen years. Ope, Ain't
- 47:57Speaker 1: nobody said to sign means plays to move. You got
- 48:01Speaker 1: to understand that part down. I got seventeen years up
- 48:04Speaker 1: in him and chain a young guy and this guy
- 48:05Speaker 1: got a couple of months, and you're telling me the
- 48:07Speaker 1: other one to do what to me? Move me, Jason,

- 48:22Speaker 1: the head of people. This decision actually come from the
- 48:24Speaker 1: vice president. They ain't told me none of that. It

- 48:34Speaker 1: some bug him because I shut the whole place up
- 48:36Speaker 1: out him. And I mean, let me explain something to you, Jason.
- 48:38Speaker 1: This young guy that you've been training, he's actually the
- 48:42Speaker 1: nephew of the vice president. I don't give a about
- 48:45Speaker 1: no neshew or no vice president. Man, do you think
- 48:47Speaker 1: I care about some president telling him? Tell the president?
- 48:50Speaker 1: I said what I said? Yeah, man, the next you
- 48:53Speaker 1: who care about the nephew? They ain't never told me? Well,

- 49:15Speaker 1: temporary slot right now, you them all, it ain't nobody
- 49:19Speaker 1: getting nothing saying okay, and I've been here. I tell
- 49:22Speaker 1: you what I gonna do. I go out there and

- 49:29Speaker 1: nest the boat to beach and kick hit because I
- 49:31Speaker 1: ain't giving up nothing, and I'm talking about job y'all
- 49:34Speaker 1: with the wrong one, Okay, with the wrong one at
- 49:36Speaker 1: this time, because the an't nobody taking nothing. You're talking
- 49:39Speaker 1: about beating the Vice president's nephew. You're you're you're losing
- 49:43Speaker 1: control here, uh Jason, No, I ain't losing nothing. I'm
- 49:46Speaker 1: gonna think control. I'm gonna lose. And when I kick
- 49:48Speaker 1: h how that sounds? And I'm gonna kick the boat
- 49:50Speaker 1: to see you? All them? How that sounds? That makes

- 54:36Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject,
- 54:40Speaker 1: I can't believe how naive I am. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:43Speaker 1: I've been married for the past five years to a
- 54:46Speaker 1: very controlling man. He worked off shore, so he was
- 54:50Speaker 1: gone from home a lot, and I was not allowed
- 54:53Speaker 1: to work so I was left home with nothing to do.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I started getting more involved in the church, and one
- 54:59Speaker 1: evening after stewardship meeting, I met a handsome man in
- 55:03Speaker 1: the parking lot of the church. He was in town
- 55:06Speaker 1: visiting his mother and had brought her to the meeting.
- 55:09Speaker 1: One thing led to another, and we exchanged phone numbers
- 55:13Speaker 1: and secretly talked whenever we could. We knew about my situation.
- 55:18Speaker 1: He knew about my situation at home, and he always
- 55:21Speaker 1: offered me great advice and support. He lives in another state,
- 55:25Speaker 1: six hours from me, so he offered to buy me
- 55:28Speaker 1: a plane ticket to come to town just for a
- 55:30Speaker 1: day so we could hang out. I told him that
- 55:33Speaker 1: was a bit much, but I would think about it well.
- 55:37Speaker 1: He bought a plane ticket for me anyway. I told
- 55:41Speaker 1: him that I didn't appreciate that kind of pressure from
- 55:43Speaker 1: him and he was being too forward. He got so
- 55:46Speaker 1: angry that he was yelling through the phone that I
- 55:50Speaker 1: owed him two hundred dollars okay. I told him that
- 55:57Speaker 1: I didn't ask him to buy the ticket and I
- 55:59Speaker 1: was not paying for him paying him for it. He
- 56:03Speaker 1: said he would tell my husband about us, and that
- 56:05Speaker 1: we have been sneaking around behind his back. I thought
- 56:09Speaker 1: he was bluffing, and I stopped answering his calls. Can
- 56:12Speaker 1: you believe this crazy man called my husband a week
- 56:16Speaker 1: later and told him everything. Wow, now my husband wants
- 56:21Speaker 1: to divorce me. Yeah. I can't believe that I went
- 56:25Speaker 1: outside my marriage and confide it in a total stranger.
- 56:28Speaker 1: I thought he was a trustworthy guy. One of my
- 56:31Speaker 1: friends at the church told me I should use this
- 56:33Speaker 1: as a way to get out of my sad marriage
- 56:35Speaker 1: and move on. But I want to clear my name
- 56:38Speaker 1: and not be looked at as a cheater. I had
- 56:41Speaker 1: no plans to have sex with the other guy. What
- 56:43Speaker 1: should I do? Wow? OMG, what a loser guy he was.
- 56:48Speaker 1: I mean, really, you didn't pick a good one. I
- 56:53Speaker 1: gotta go back to the letter though for a minute.
- 56:56Speaker 1: You say one thing led to another? What does that
- 56:58Speaker 1: mean all? Do? I mean? Really? You go from meeting
- 57:02Speaker 1: him in the parking lot, then one thing led to another,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and you exchange phone numbers and secretly talked whenever you could.
- 57:09Speaker 1: He knew about your situation at home. That means you
- 57:11Speaker 1: were running your mouth and talking to him and telling
- 57:14Speaker 1: him all your business about your husband and how you know,
- 57:17Speaker 1: unhappy you were and all of that stuff. Um, you know,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I just don't understand why you gave him your number
- 57:24Speaker 1: in the first place. Mismarried lady, Well just hold on
- 57:32Speaker 1: in the You gave him your phone number in the
- 57:34Speaker 1: church parking lot, Thomas Miles right after the stewardship meeting. Now, yeah,
- 57:43Speaker 1: I mean, do you know what stewardship means. I mean,
- 57:45Speaker 1: did you learn what stewardship means while you were in
- 57:48Speaker 1: the stewardship meeting. It means taking care of or or
- 57:52Speaker 1: managing responsibly the things that God has blessed you with.
- 57:56Speaker 1: That's what stewardship means. That means, you know, managing your marriage,
- 58:00Speaker 1: taking care of your marriage. You were not doing that.
- 58:03Speaker 1: In marriage, you don't do things like secretly talk to
- 58:06Speaker 1: other men, you know, and stuff like that. You guys
- 58:09Speaker 1: probably texting. You didn't put it in the letter. But
- 58:11Speaker 1: if you're secretly talking to him, you're secretly doing a
- 58:14Speaker 1: lot of other things too. That's called emotional cheating. I mean,
- 58:17Speaker 1: you were teasing him. You didn't tell him absolutely no,
- 58:21Speaker 1: you were leading him on. You told him you would
- 58:23Speaker 1: think about it. Okay, he probably heard, yes, I'm gonna
- 58:27Speaker 1: let me get this ticket she gonna you know, I
- 58:28Speaker 1: can convince her to come up here with me. And
- 58:31Speaker 1: then he got managed. You started yelling through the phone.
- 58:34Speaker 1: He's controlling. It sounds like just like your husband. You
- 58:37Speaker 1: know this is crazy. I'm sorry that your husband wants
- 58:43Speaker 1: to divorce you now, but because he thinks you're cheating.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Your husband's gone a lot, he's off shore. Who knows
- 58:48Speaker 1: what he's doing. I'm not saying he's cheating, but you're
- 58:51Speaker 1: sitting at home unhappy. Why stay in a very unhappy
- 58:55Speaker 1: marriage anyway? You know, one of your friends at the
- 58:58Speaker 1: church told you that you should use this as a
- 59:00Speaker 1: way to get out of your sad marriage and move on. Okay,
- 59:03Speaker 1: that could be some good advice because you are in
- 59:07Speaker 1: an unhappy marriage, But you do want to clear your name.
- 59:10Speaker 1: You said you can do that after the fact. Your
- 59:13Speaker 1: husband doesn't sound like he's going to believe you. Anyway.
- 59:15Speaker 1: You guys have grown apart. He's not there. You're off secretly.
- 59:20Speaker 1: You know, with this other guy talking to him. You
- 59:22Speaker 1: weren't planning on having sex with this other guy. But
- 59:25Speaker 1: I tell you what that other guy was planning on
- 59:27Speaker 1: having sex with you if he bought you a plane
- 59:30Speaker 1: ticket and wanted you to come out. There. Was he
- 59:32Speaker 1: wrong for telling your husband? Of course he was. I
- 59:35Speaker 1: was just vindictive and crazy. But yeah, yeah, you know
- 59:41Speaker 1: your husband is going to divorce you. It looks like
- 59:43Speaker 1: I don't see how you can get out of this
- 59:45Speaker 1: and clear your name, not right now anyway, because of
- 59:49Speaker 1: what this man said to him, Junior. Yea on you huh.
- 59:53Speaker 1: I can't believe how naive I am nobody reading this letter. King,
- 59:59Speaker 1: go ahay it and get the divorce. Yeah, just go
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: ahead and get it because your marriage is done. Yeah,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: the trust is gone. You should have went, to be
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: honest with you. No, you should have went out, yeah, man,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: because if you if you, if you would have went,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: you still have your husband. But now now you ain't
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: got that. No, Mo, he was crazy. I don't care.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: You should have went if you thought your husband was
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: controlling before, watch how control even be? Now? Put your
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: damn head down. I can't let you look at nothing.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: And this guy is controlling too. Yeah. Get yeah, get
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: in the bathroom, lock the dough. I'll tell you when
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: to come out. It can't go nowhere. All right, listen,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: We'll have part two of the Strawberry Letter coming up
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hours, subject, I can't believe
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: how naive I am. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show. All right, guys, let's recap
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. Wow, subject, I can't believe how naive
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I am. This woman who's been married for the past
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: five years to a very controlling man, she says, who
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: works offshore. He's gone from home a lot. She's not
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: allowed to work, so she's just left at home with
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: nothing to do. She didn't mention any kids or anything,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: so she's just sitting there. So she started getting more
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: involved in the church and everything. One evening she went
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: to a stewardship meeting and she made a very handsome
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: man in the church parking lot. Right after the stewardship meeting.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: He was in town visiting his mom. He lives in
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: another state, about six hours away. So they exchanged phone
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: numbers because one thing led to another, you know, and
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: they now secretly talk on the phone. He knows about
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: her situation at home. Now, how does he know that
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he just met you? Because you're talking. You're telling him
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: your business about all this stuff. So he offered you
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: some great advice and some support. And he also offered
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to buy you a plane ticket, but you told him
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: that was a bit much, but you would think about it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: That's all the opening he needed. He went ahead and
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: bought the ticket. You turned him down. Then he told
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you you owed him the money. Then he got on
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the phone called your husband, told your husband everything, and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: then some now your husband wants to divorce you. A
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: friend told you it's a way to get out of
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: your sad marriage and move on, but you want to
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: clear your name. You can't have it both ways. You're
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: gonna have to get out of this marriage because your
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: husband doesn't believe you anymore, and you're kind of on
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: your own now, you're kind of on your own. Jay,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: what you got? You know what? What? You know what?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I can't believe how cheap this lady is. It didn't
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: take up two hundred damn dollars to get out of
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: this situation. There was an old man, this is the
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: ideal oil. He's a church steward. He ain't got that
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: kind of money. He sent you two hundred dollars and
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: he asked you to give me the money back. You
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: could have sent it back to him, but new you
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: want to play You play with his emotions first of all,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: on the phone talking heaping it up, yap, yap, yapping,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: my husband, don't do this. And he said, I'm gonna
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: send you two hundred dollars ticket and I'm asking you,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: out of good faith, could you send me the money.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: He probably ain't got that kind of money. And all
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you you know what two hundred dollars is. That's two
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: bags of grocery when them when him when him expensive
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: food store. That's too bad. The whole food that two
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: bags you go to? What's the show with they had
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: him high prices with the M and the K. I
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: can't think of the name of it, um the lady
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: show with the M and the K or something that. Yeah,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that's maybe one shoe you get one shoe out, Yeah,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you get him my crunget you one shoe. That's a
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: cable bill for one month. But you couldn't do that, nude.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: You couldn't send the man back to two hundred damn dollars.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: He asked you nicely, and he put it that on.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: He's saying, if you don't send me my money because
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: that's his money, ain't got that. I'm gonna tell your
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: husband what tell him. Tell him now he told him.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Now you out of a husband, and all you had
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: to do? Lady, what's come up with two hundred dollars?
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Your man is gone away. He don't know how much
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: money you're spending him. See you for six? Two hundred
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: damn dollars? That don't make no sin? Does it not
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: right for you to do that? The man sent you
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: a ticket and it said two hundred dollars and you
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: did not send the man the money back? What kind
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: of message do you talking to every night? Not only
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: that he should have asked you for the damn phone
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: build money, but no, he asked you for that. He
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: asked you for two, and we just washed this duck
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: could go away? How you know him? From me again?
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I'll change chages if you just send me two. I
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: ain't sending you a damn that two hundred damn dollars.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Oh all right, thank you, full movie ticket. You're gonna
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: movie full time and with popcorn and everything for two.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Sending that man that money. You're getting what you deserve.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: You deserve all of this, all right, say we gotta
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: hear from the neck you now, thank you? You're really
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: mad about that too? Under dollar? What you got, nephew,

- 1:05:28Speaker 1: But he's a cheetah or crazy. I can't stop it
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: from being a cheetah. This is what you need to do.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Go down to the French quarter, get you a voodoo dog,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: and we're gonna put this route on his ass. You
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: understand me. That's what we've fend to do night. In fact,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you're gonna go a little deep. I already heard how
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: they do. These roots sometimes go down to his house.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Six hours wait, same same two d go down there,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: get something his draws and bury them in his yard.

- 1:06:00Speaker 1: actually gonna get him back that's how you're gonna get

- 1:06:27Speaker 1: thank you guys. A lot of different perspectives. All right. Listen,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: you can email us your Instagram your thoughts on today's
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, or you can check
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcasts go to on demand. Now.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Coming up at forty six after the hour, we're gonna
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: talk about Marshawn Lynch's confrontation with a football mom. Did
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: you guys see this when he asked her, is here
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: a man here with you? We're gonna talk about that
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Former NFL star Marshawn Lynch cussed out a group of
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: kids during drills at his football camp in Seattle. It
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: was a Lyncha's family first football camp in Seattle where
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Marshan was coaching about two hundred kids or so when
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: one of the moms confronted him, and Marshawn tried to
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: speak to this upset mother and then he asked her,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: is there a man here with you? Take a listen.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: It's not a man here with you, but I don't care.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: It's my son. Wow. Yeah, well see I get what
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you ah, No, I get it, okay from I want
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: to distract you. I want to talk to a man
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: and I can talk to man to man and we can.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: He can understand exactly where I was coming from out
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: here on this football call, on this football But you
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: know what a lot of people, Tommy were upset because
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: they thought he was being chauvinistic, uh and talking down
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: to this kid's mom. So a lot of people got
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: upset with him at how he was speaking. They thought
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: he was being dismissive of her. Yeah, he was talking
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: like they talked to football players. And and the mom
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: camp be there to baby him when he's when she
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: hears something that she doesn't normally hear at the house.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: This is how they talk. Absolutely, this is dad, don't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I mean coaches. I mean, even like me eating as
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: good as I was, if I messed up, coach, coach
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: still got on my case and I didn't like the
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: words that came out of his mouth. But you know
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: what they taught me to do to block out the
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: noise and focus back on my job. Okay, you still
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: have to get back out and played this game. Now,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: if you don't like to play this, it's another sports
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you can gonna play. You're gonna fay chess, go do
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: something like that. They don't talk like that. Still behind
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: him line, he wasn't being disrespectful to the model. He did.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: He was trying not to be disrespectful to her. That's
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: why he wanted to speak to a man again. And
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: I think it's too too, because you know, I've volunteered,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: you know, at football camps. My nephew is a professional
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: football player. He had football camp. I've been there so
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: a lot of times too, with these football players and
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: what they're trying to do with these kids, because it's
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: a dream to play in the NFL, and you you
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: might get them ready. You gotta get them ready. So
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: sometimes you know, these coaches, they they talk to these kids,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you know, they're rough, and Marshawn, these kids are young.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: These are not ten and eleven year old kids, and
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: he was talking to them rough. So the question is
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: should he take it a more professional way or you know,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the moms were like, what does it matter if my
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: man is here or not? You know, it's a lot
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: of issues that it was with this conformation yesterday. Yesterday
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: was Jordan's first day of football. Yeah. Contact, he's eight
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: years old. Yeah, them coaches hotting like all get out
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, oh my god. And I was like, boy,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: this brings back memories and you know what I've got.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I want him to hear it. You better do everything
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: they're telling you to do you want to play football.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: It reminds me, well what we can carry this conversation on,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: but it reminds me a little bit of Steve's mentoring
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: camp too. And I'll tell ye, yes, all right, coming
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, we're to talk
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: more about this Marshawn Lynch situation about coaching, about parenting,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: and we'll do that right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: So during our last break, we were talking about should
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Marshawn Lynch and his confrontation with one of the moms
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: at his football camp for kids. Should Marshawn have been
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: more professional and not cuss at the kids during his
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: football camp in Seattle? And we were talking, you guys
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: have all played sports, and you were talking about, well, Jay,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: you have to have the band out dead. Oh okay?
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: And they was rough too, wasn't it. Yeah. He was
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: saying that you didn't know a coach who didn't cuss
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: up my kid? I did not know one. I mean,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: it's just yeah. But but he got criticized for talking
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: for asking the mom is there a man here? People
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: thought he was talking down to the man to the mom,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: It seems like he just didn't want to be disrespectful
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: to her and he would just rather talk to a
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: man about this situation with his son. But I was
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: saying before the break that it kind of reminds me
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: of Steve's mentoring camp. How he takes in only boys
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: from single moms, and he mentors the boys away from
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: the moms, right because he is the point is is
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to bring them into manhood and to talk to them
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: how man to man and it's that's what this situation
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: reminds me of. Yeah, and man to man, maybe yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: that's where the way I love. I played football for
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: one day because I was I know the other thing.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I'm lying. But one day what happened quickly. You know
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: how many people have never played one day. I played
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: pads everything one day, one full damn day whatever. I'm
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: that And I could chick the ball really fun because
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I was kicking. And I kicked the ball about two
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: or three times. I let's suit up the next day.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: And then I got hit and I got hit really
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: really hard, and the coach, the coach cuts me out
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: so bad. But here's the thing. I had been getting
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: cuts out at home. I just thought this was very
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: nice to him to talk to me in that tone,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: because the cussing I was getting at the house was nothing.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I mean, that's all. That's all you got. You got,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'll be out there the football field get
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: custed out. And my daddy stating right there, he helped.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Ain't nothing like your father cussings at you from the sideline,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: because it prepares you for life. Football players grow up,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: grow up, you know, And it's it's true for for
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: girls sports too. I mean this period. I think, yeah
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: competitive that movie. There's no crying in baseball. Yeah, they
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: don't care about your feelings. Right, And let me tell
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you something, when you got Marshaw Linz has some eight
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: nineteen year old boys out there when they are when
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: they're eight nineteen eleven years old, trust me, they are
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: not completely focused. If they're not on the field, then
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: they over here playing with each other. And you know,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: a coach wants your underbouted attention. I told my son,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I said, listen, you playing, they're hidden now, this ain't
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: flag no more. So you better pay attention because if
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: you don't know something, you freg knocked on your butt
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: and we're not quitting you. Yeah, cry, you're gonna go home.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna be back out here tomorrow. That's it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: that's that's That's how I got all that in one
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I got all that in one year. But you quit,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: but you stopped. Why do you look what I learned.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: I learned a lot, but you suited up with the everything.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Jay got all that one pl ten fid you were
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: ready for the NFL. You got it all in one
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: day game and Junior in the last break we all
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: got when you said that's how good you were, and
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: when you say you got it, I got you. Yeah.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: I can't help that part, but that's what I'm saying.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I love. I love when coach, when Coach hollidayd me
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: uh huh, and he didn't use regular words to another
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: guy who wasn't as good. I love did you play, Junior?
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: How long did you play? Alway, alway, all the way out?
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: How many years? I played more than a game? But
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: it took you that lone and learn? I got all
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: man all right, coming out, more music, more fun. On
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: hour you're listening Morning Show. All right, Jay, you had
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: a big celebration last night at the Jay Spot. Tell
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: us about it. What happened? Oh my god. I invited
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: all the comedians who like participated in the club for years.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I've been there twelve years, open the club twelve years,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: and last night close to my two hundred comedians came out. Man,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: it's not This wasn't a roast. I don't know what this.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: This was a beyond a roast. They did impression to me.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: This was it was like a LUI just like tied
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: to a stick, Tommy just turning it over. But it
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: was so good, you know, you don't you don't realize
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: when you put something together, like opening a comedy club,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: how much it means to the comedians. And for me
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to be a club owner, the hardest thing is to
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: see the faces of comics and on a certain night
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that I can't tell them that they can't go up,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: I tell them you can't go up because I got
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: too many comedians. It's just it's just it's unbelievable the
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: love that they had for this business. You got it,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Junior got it, and we all got to start somewhere.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: And to be able to open that club with my
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: son twelve years ago. Man, it was just great to
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: see the comics come out and say thank you for
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: you know, having this club. And I never made a
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: dime off of that building, but I helped a lot
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: of comics. Thank you, man. I never stayed married twelve years,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: all three marriages didn't even do twelve Can you make
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: a dime off the club? Jay one. I know I'm
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: not a good man. You're a comedian comedian, man, but
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I had a great time. Thank you, love you, Jay.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: We really to do. We'll be back. We'll be back, Yeah,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: we will. Right after this you're listening to the President
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Trump is preparing to visit El Paso and Dayton, Ohio.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: El Paso, Texas, of course, in Dayton, Ohio today, the
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: parents says that will not be universally welcome as the
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: two cities grief from weekend mass shootings left thirty one
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: people dead, yeah, and many injured and rattled. Former Texas
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Representative Beta O'Rourke said he doesn't think that President Trump
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: is welcome in El Paso in the wake of the
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: deadly shooting that left twenty two dead there. This president,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: says O'Rourke, who helped create the hatred that made Saturday's
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: tragedy possible, should not come to El Paso. That's what
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: he tweeted. He says, we do not need more division,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: We need to heal. He has no place here, guys.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: El Paso is a city of about six hundred and
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: eighty three thousand people with a largely Latino population. In
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the city of Dayton, Mayor Nan Whaley encouraged people to
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: protest who are unhappy under mister Trump's upcoming visit to
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: the city of about one hundred and forty thousand. The
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: mayor of Dayton went on to say President Trump made
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: his bed and now he has to lie in it. Yeah.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Dayton's mayor went on to say she would greet the
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: president in the official role as mayor, but she will
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: also tell him that his words weren't helpful. The people
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: in Toledo would be glad to see me. I'm going
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: to Toledo to meet all the people in there because
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: they love it's. Oh it's Dayton. Excuse me? Yeah? Are
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you are you bring? Do you ask? The people in
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Deledo love me and Deledo, So I'm going to Deledo.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: It's Dayton, Ohio. They don't want anywhere. They don't want
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you to know where because it's your words that are
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: so you know, that are dividing this country. We have
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: said that on this just a matter of time that
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: somebody takes his words and use them good. That's literally yeah,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: and that's what has happened. And um, you know he's
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: blaming it on mental illness and video game. But that's
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: what they always say, illness. They always go there. They
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: don't ever want to go guns No, I never want
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: to go. But this is the president that said I
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: can down the street in New York. He said that,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: and he got elected. He got elected, Yeah, he got
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: He can't honestly think that he can go to a
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: city like El Paso, where you talked about Latinos and
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: you talked about immigrants, and it is a city that
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: is on the border of Texas and Mexico. So for
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you to even think that those people want you there
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: this time, at this time, right now, it's just I
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: think he's unbelievable. Yeah, but I think he is arrogant
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: enough to think that. He really think he is arrogant.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: And now the mayor of El Paso, who's a Republican,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: he is welcoming the president. He has no choice. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: all right, guys, coming up, last break up the day,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: and then we'll do Jay's segment. It's it's gaining popularity
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: around the world. Check it out. Jay's gonna ask us
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: what if we learned today? Coming up right after this, Yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, here we are, guys,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Wednesday, hop day.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Look on to that weekend. Yeah, loving it, loving it? Okay, Jay,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: we may as well get started. I mean time for
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: your segment. As we leave, it is all right every
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: day that we've been doing for quite a while. Like
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Shirley says, it's catching home. People are talking to me
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: about it in the street. I'm lying. Nobody said, no, man,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I loved at what you let not one person. But anyway,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: we go around the room at the end of the
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: show and we ask the people who are on this show,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: what did you learn today, Shirley, what did you learn today? Okay,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: we talked about this earlier Jay when we first started
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: the show. This morning, we talked about what couples argue about,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: and come to find out, I guess we're all arguing
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: about the same thing. Family drama, going day to day frustrations,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you know, drifting apart in your relationship, parenting philosophies. You're
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: too lenient, you beat them too much. You know, stuff
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: like that, financial problems, flirting, all of that. So basically
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: you ain't kiss me, and my damn all of that,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: you know, jealousy, I want to hit a joke. Let
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: me hit a joke. I want right, So, I mean,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: you know, we gotta we gotta try to keep our
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: relationships together. It's all about love. There's this long term
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: relationship expert out there. Her name is doctor Pepper Schwartz.
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I'm sure you can look her up if you want
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: some help in your relationships. So, I mean, we all
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: need it every now and then. You know, when we
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: drift a prior, we can come back together. We don't
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: always have to break up all the time. Let's try
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: to stay together. I think it's harder to stay together
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: than it is to break up. It's easy to break
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: up and get somebody else, but stay together. That's the commitment,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: that's that work. You know that you got to put
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: into the relationship to make it last. So that's what
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I learned today. If that makes it very good, very good,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: very good, very good. I need to write up on
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: that by tomorrow. All right. What I learned today is
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: the city of El Paso, in the city of Dayton
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: does not does not want the President to come to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: the city. Both of these cities. We are still praying
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: for the victims families. They are grieving after this past weekend,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: the horrible mass shootings, and the President what he needs
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: to learn talking about what we learn. What he needs
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: to learn is to be responsible for the words that
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: he says. His rhetoric can stop all of this racist
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: talk and be a president and be a leader. Said yesterday,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: stop the hey I said yesterday, and I'm going to
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: said again today. Amen. Amen again, very good, very good.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: That's even better than what Shirley learned. I like that one.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: That's Junior. What did you learn you one day football player?
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Hold on, Shirley, hold on, Shirley, if you take here,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: if you think, if you like, no, no, no no,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: let me run the Junior. We'll get back you tomorrow. Alright,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: I can't move. I learned this. I learned that the
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: little boy that said Marshaw Lynch football cap and Jenny
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Brown had the same football career one damn day. You
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: and I ain't. Y'all got the same football career. High five, Junior,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Hi got to work. I can't leave this blahble pool. Yeah,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: you just quit Yankee from camp. We needed to do
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: it though I'm not doing And I didn't even know
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Junior was gonna stop when he went hold on. I
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: knew that a very good, very good, Junior. Tell me
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: what you learned today? Well, I didn't know it till today. Jay.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I mean, I knew all about Dion Warwick and you
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: know things that she could do. But I find that
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: Junior is a fortune cookie till I didn't know. I
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: didn't know. Yeah, man, cookie didn't tell you what it
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: really means. Yeah man, yeah man. You can't miss a
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: moment to see you miss Now. You know, the back
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: of the Fortune Cookie actually had a lottery numbers, you
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: know that. I know that back of that page got
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: a lot of them. But the front side of where
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Junior he worked on the front of that yeah fortune Yeah.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: When I woke up after I hit my head, I
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: could read Fortune Cookie, but I wish I could had
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: that backflad to get them numbers. I could pick the
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: right man. All right, here's what I learned today. Had
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: I applied myself to football more than that one no, no, no,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I'm not saying more than that one, damn day, I
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: would have never been a great football player. I would
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: have just drifted on and not played in the NFL.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: But look, God, say quit. There's something bigger and better
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: for you. And look what I am today, damn day
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: or football. What was the time it was you got
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: cussed out by your coach and now you are one
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: of the greatest cussols. That's what I learned. Today. Wow, Well,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: everybody learned something as always, I learned something every days. Good.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: That's good. That's still yeah. Kissing y'all. Spouse in the
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: mouth ya was yeah, I know, I'm still tell me
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: we've been married four years. Okay, I didn't even know
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: that was still going on and cheek man. Al Right, guys,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here this ignorant show. We'll
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: see you tomorrow. Thank you so much for listening. Bye bye.
