- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things. And it's to be true. Good to
- 0:25Speaker 1: the mother. I don't join joining me. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turning you. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You got to turn out to turn the water.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The water got come. Come on your thing, h I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now want and only Steve harbor
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. M Yeah, I do. Man.
- 2:16Speaker 1: God been so good to me over the years, in
- 2:18Speaker 1: spite of all the mistakes I've made, in spite of
- 2:22Speaker 1: all the dirt I've done to myself. I'm talking about
- 2:27Speaker 1: when in no one I was wrong, His grace and
- 2:30Speaker 1: mercy has forgiven me for all of my sins. God
- 2:36Speaker 1: can forgive you of all of your sins, everything you've done,
- 2:42Speaker 1: God can forgive you. He can wipe your slate clean.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Now that might you might have some you know, things
- 2:49Speaker 1: you got to deal with because of some of your actions.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Understand that. But you can wipe your slates. You can
- 2:55Speaker 1: wipe your slate clean with God and start again. You
- 2:58Speaker 1: can repent. God has mercy and grace. You could be
- 3:02Speaker 1: forgiven by God. Now people answer another story. Some people
- 3:06Speaker 1: may never forgive you, for you've heard them all, or
- 3:09Speaker 1: maybe they're accusing you of doing something else. But you
- 3:12Speaker 1: know they may never forgive you. But God, God is
- 3:16Speaker 1: in the redemption business man. God will forgive you for
- 3:20Speaker 1: every sin you've ever committed. But you gotta want forgiveness now.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And then you got to come correct because what you
- 3:27Speaker 1: can't do is you can't shoot him the crap. Now
- 3:30Speaker 1: you can say that conversation with him. You know, whatever
- 3:33Speaker 1: you told your lawyer, whatever, whatever you told the victims,
- 3:38Speaker 1: whatever you told, whatever the story is you got going
- 3:42Speaker 1: if it ain't the truth, you could say that with God,
- 3:45Speaker 1: because please know, he know, and he know your heart.
- 3:48Speaker 1: He know if you're trying to manipulate somebody just for
- 3:52Speaker 1: the system, if you're trying to say this just so
- 3:54Speaker 1: you can get out, He know all of that. So
- 3:56Speaker 1: if you're planning on shucking him and jiving him, save
- 3:59Speaker 1: your brother before you wind up digging yourself in a
- 4:02Speaker 1: deeper hole. Just let me give you that piece of advice.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Because he ain't nothing to play with. He's too great
- 4:08Speaker 1: to be played with. And so with that in mind,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I want to share some positive stuff with you to
- 4:13Speaker 1: smarty man, I want to say this now. I want
- 4:15Speaker 1: to remind you not to let your circumstance and your
- 4:19Speaker 1: situations dictate your future or your results. I'm gonna say
- 4:25Speaker 1: this again. This is important information. Man. Don't let your
- 4:30Speaker 1: circumstance and situations dictate your future or your results. Do
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know that in order to get a different future
- 4:41Speaker 1: or some different results, you control that entire situation. It
- 4:46Speaker 1: is you. It is your thoughts that control the entire situation.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It is how you look at the situation that will
- 4:53Speaker 1: determine how the situation is for you. See, the same
- 4:58Speaker 1: situation can be totally different for two different people because
- 5:02Speaker 1: you can say you look at the examples of history,
- 5:04Speaker 1: just just look look in your neighborhood. How can that?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Was a book that a guy wrote one time who
- 5:09Speaker 1: had the name. He had a name, and he did
- 5:12Speaker 1: some research and he found a guy that grew up
- 5:15Speaker 1: at the same age in the same neighborhood as him,
- 5:19Speaker 1: with the exact same name. He went on to become
- 5:23Speaker 1: a corporate CEO. The other man was an inmate, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: they had the same name. Grew up in the same neighborhood.
- 5:34Speaker 1: They were both brothers, you know not, I'm just saying
- 5:37Speaker 1: brothers men. And they grew and they went to different
- 5:41Speaker 1: Because how can two different two people the same situation
- 5:45Speaker 1: and the results turn out so different. It is because
- 5:48Speaker 1: of the thought process of one was completely different from
- 5:51Speaker 1: the thought process of the other. You control it. You
- 5:54Speaker 1: don't have to let your circumstances and your situations dictate
- 5:58Speaker 1: your future, all your results. Here's the way it works.
- 6:03Speaker 1: This is so you can understand this. Your mind. It's
- 6:07Speaker 1: the controlling factor of your thoughts. Your thoughts are the
- 6:12Speaker 1: controlling factor of your outcome. The Bible says a man
- 6:17Speaker 1: is as he thinketh. Please don't short play this scripture here,
- 6:21Speaker 1: because this one is the real deal. This is the
- 6:25Speaker 1: basis of every self improvement book you'll ever read. It's
- 6:30Speaker 1: already written in the Bible. The Bible has all the
- 6:32Speaker 1: information you need. But in case you need a little
- 6:35Speaker 1: bit of clarity in some simple modern day language, then
- 6:38Speaker 1: they have self improvement books. They are all based on
- 6:41Speaker 1: Biblical scripture. A man is as he thinketh. That's why
- 6:45Speaker 1: Norman Vincent Peale wrote the book The Power of Positive
- 6:49Speaker 1: Thinking That's why a book came out called The Magic
- 6:52Speaker 1: of Thinking Big. That's why a book came out called
- 6:55Speaker 1: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hell that all of you,
- 7:00Speaker 1: all these titles that I've read that have mattered in
- 7:02Speaker 1: my life the most, these three major books that I've read,
- 7:06Speaker 1: they all say one thing. Think, thinking thoughts, because that's
- 7:10Speaker 1: what controls the outcome. Your brain works one of two ways.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It works positive or negative. It works good, which is
- 7:24Speaker 1: under the column of positive, or to work evil, which
- 7:27Speaker 1: is under the column of negative. It will have faith,
- 7:31Speaker 1: which is under the column of positive, or you will
- 7:35Speaker 1: operate in fear, which is in the column of negative.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That is the only way your mind works. Your mind
- 7:42Speaker 1: is a factory that's comprised of workers. Those workers are
- 7:48Speaker 1: controlled by two formings, forming positive and forming negative. But
- 7:53Speaker 1: guess what the CEO of the company, the head, man,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the boss is you. You come to work in the
- 8:01Speaker 1: morning and you say, man, today is a great day.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I'm going to take steps towards brightening my future. I'm
- 8:09Speaker 1: going to take another step into making that dream come
- 8:13Speaker 1: true that I've been thinking about. I'm gonna take another
- 8:16Speaker 1: step forward in the development and the changing of my life.
- 8:19Speaker 1: In a positive, good direction. If you come to work
- 8:23Speaker 1: and say that every day as the CEO, the boss,
- 8:26Speaker 1: the formans can only obey you, so that what you
- 8:30Speaker 1: just said was a series of positive statements then forming
- 8:34Speaker 1: positive steps to the forefront. He said, I got your
- 8:37Speaker 1: boss right away. He turns around, he blows the whistle.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He alerts all the workers in the factory today as
- 8:44Speaker 1: a good day. Today, we will take steps towards our future.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Today we are putting ourselves on track to get a
- 8:51Speaker 1: little bit closer to making our dreams come true. Today
- 8:54Speaker 1: we will be assembling all the things we need to
- 8:58Speaker 1: make our dreams come true in our life better in
- 9:00Speaker 1: the right direction. Everybody break. The workers in the factory
- 9:04Speaker 1: turn around and manufacture thoughts to justify the orders given
- 9:11Speaker 1: by the boss, which is you. You are the CEO
- 9:15Speaker 1: of your corporation. If you don't own nothing else, you
- 9:19Speaker 1: own everything that's going on between your two ears. You
- 9:22Speaker 1: are the CEO of that corporation. If that corporation is
- 9:26Speaker 1: a good one, it's because you set it up that way.
- 9:29Speaker 1: If your corporation is a bad one, it's because you
- 9:32Speaker 1: set it up that day. If you trying, if you
- 9:34Speaker 1: pushing towards your dreams, and you see the possibility of
- 9:37Speaker 1: things happening in your life is because you, as the CEO,
- 9:40Speaker 1: set it up that way. If you ain't got nothing popping,
- 9:43Speaker 1: if you just want to be a criminal taking stuff
- 9:45Speaker 1: from people, throwing your life out the window, you're gonna
- 9:48Speaker 1: be an inmate. You're gonna be sitting there there and
- 9:50Speaker 1: you're gonna be mad at everybody You've got nobody be
- 9:52Speaker 1: mad at. But shoot, you understand what I'm telling you
- 9:55Speaker 1: this morning? Huh. You're listening to show ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is about to go down to Steve Harvey Morning Shows,

- 12:08Speaker 1: all I need is that right there. You don't gonna
- 12:10Speaker 1: write the Browns got in the playoffs. Now one of
- 12:14Speaker 1: the teams that didn't make the playoffs. And now based
- 12:19Speaker 1: on what did happened with d hop JJ Watt and
- 12:23Speaker 1: Deshaun Watt, don't look like they're gonna be textans ain't
- 12:26Speaker 1: gonna be in the playoffs for a while. Up. Evidently,

- 12:46Speaker 1: So I went to yoga again. I've been doing this
- 12:50Speaker 1: pretty consistent. Yeah. My doctor told me, Steve, you should
- 12:53Speaker 1: get into beak Orm yoga. I told that lady said,
- 12:58Speaker 1: if you don't cut this damn heat, you're gonna lose
- 13:02Speaker 1: with some breath. Come, let me tell you the opening
- 13:05Speaker 1: move and beacram. You hold your hands over your head
- 13:07Speaker 1: and you lock your fingers, and you're supposed to put
- 13:09Speaker 1: your hand on your chin, and you inhale to a
- 13:12Speaker 1: seven count and you exhale to the seventh count. Every
- 13:17Speaker 1: time she do that, and do she do two in
- 13:20Speaker 1: you do the inhale nexshale. I don't breathe five times.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It's so hot in that set. I'm sucking win and
- 13:28Speaker 1: now control your breathing, all right, it's a hundred and
- 13:33Speaker 1: six in here, all right, it's hot in here. That's right.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:39Speaker 1: gonna get it even hotter with the clo Chief Love
- 13:41Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 13:46Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, guys, we have a treat for you
- 13:49Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. The one
- 13:51Speaker 1: and only is Steve calls him and he deserves it.
- 13:54Speaker 1: The legend our Cineo Hall will be our very special guest.
- 13:58Speaker 1: He's wanting to talk about the movie coming to America
- 14:01Speaker 1: and we can't wait for that. But right now it's
- 14:04Speaker 1: time for ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey
- 14:09Speaker 1: in the building. All right, Steve. This one is from
- 14:11Speaker 1: Alice in Saint Louis. She says, I'm thirty eight and
- 14:15Speaker 1: my husband is thirty six, and all day long he
- 14:18Speaker 1: is on Instagram looking at girls pictures and leaving comments
- 14:22Speaker 1: on them. This makes me feel insecure and unpretty. And
- 14:26Speaker 1: I've told him that. He said that he chose me
- 14:28Speaker 1: for a reason and he'd never be with an Instagram
- 14:31Speaker 1: model type of chick in real life. He doesn't care
- 14:34Speaker 1: how it affects me. Should married couples be on Instagram?
- 14:39Speaker 1: You can be on Instagram, but the comments, the lie
- 14:43Speaker 1: is I would never be with an Instagram chick. That's
- 14:46Speaker 1: a lie, because what are you on there for. So
- 14:49Speaker 1: what you're on there looking at? Yeah, I'm telling you
- 14:53Speaker 1: right now, homye, get off. Best your advice? Get off? Yeah, yep,
- 15:03Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Cielo hiawasa in South Carolina. Hiawasa
- 15:08Speaker 1: and South Carolina love that name. I'm a divorced female
- 15:12Speaker 1: raising a seventeen year old son and he's driving me nuts.
- 15:16Speaker 1: There are days that I come home and I can
- 15:18Speaker 1: tell there's been a female in my house. It could
- 15:21Speaker 1: be a random strand of weave on the couch where
- 15:23Speaker 1: he's decided to wash his sheets all of a sudden,
- 15:27Speaker 1: And I talked to his dad and he said it's
- 15:29Speaker 1: normal for him to be having sex. He said he's
- 15:31Speaker 1: told our son to be responsible and respectable. He told
- 15:35Speaker 1: me to ease up a bit. But how do I
- 15:38Speaker 1: do that? I don't know how you do it. But
- 15:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now, you ain't fin to
- 15:42Speaker 1: talk him out of it. That's not gonna happen. Once
- 15:48Speaker 1: you taste of fruit, that flavor never leaves your mouth.
- 15:52Speaker 1: He gonna die with this. Yeah, it's no going back.
- 15:57Speaker 1: He not finished, stops seeing girls. He has sex. Now,
- 16:00Speaker 1: what you've been to tell him? Don't do that? No, more.
- 16:03Speaker 1: It's his whole mission in life. Now, that's forever till
- 16:08Speaker 1: he leave him. Not in your house. He breaking rules,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and the husband needs to establish some rules. But they're
- 16:16Speaker 1: gonna be in a car or they're gonna be somewhere
- 16:18Speaker 1: at her house. I mean, you know you should say, hey, man,
- 16:23Speaker 1: the father should pull his son to the side and
- 16:25Speaker 1: gonna little did I know what you're doing, But you
- 16:28Speaker 1: gotta respect your mama. Yeah, he should tell him, because
- 16:32Speaker 1: he did pull him to the side and told him
- 16:34Speaker 1: to be responsible and respectable. That's it. No, he was
- 16:38Speaker 1: saying be responsible. All he told him do is makes
- 16:40Speaker 1: you use a coms. All he told he ain't told him,
- 16:44Speaker 1: don't come in this house. But you got to respect
- 16:47Speaker 1: your mother though. That's right, that's what he tell him.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Making having sex with these young girls. He's not thinking
- 16:54Speaker 1: that's disrespected. He's just answering to his hormones. What happened
- 16:59Speaker 1: to doing any getting away with it and nobody knowing
- 17:02Speaker 1: what happened to that. It's called the internet, it's called
- 17:08Speaker 1: his mom can tell because there's a weed here on
- 17:11Speaker 1: her sofa, and yeah, come on, and the sheets he's
- 17:16Speaker 1: watching up from young people. That all right? We're moving on.
- 17:29Speaker 1: This one's from Amina in Tea Neck, New Jersey. I
- 17:32Speaker 1: mean it says I'm a thirty one year old single
- 17:33Speaker 1: female and I just found out that the man I've
- 17:35Speaker 1: been messing with is married. Get this is married to
- 17:40Speaker 1: one of my aunts. I met her Sunday at my
- 17:43Speaker 1: grandma's birthday party. She is my daddy's sister, and she
- 17:47Speaker 1: fell out with her mom years ago and stopped coming around.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I met her son, my cousin, too, and he's named
- 17:54Speaker 1: after his dad and looks just like him. So that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: how I figured out the connection. I told this guy
- 17:59Speaker 1: that his wife is my aunt and to stop calling me,
- 18:02Speaker 1: but he won't. This is creepy. What should I do? Well,
- 18:07Speaker 1: you told him to stop calling you, and he won't.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You ain't really serious about him to not call you
- 18:12Speaker 1: no more? Because you can get a man to stop calling.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You can block his number. You block his number, you
- 18:19Speaker 1: can change your number if you serious about it, but
- 18:22Speaker 1: he won't. Yeah, and then key, you said, this whole
- 18:26Speaker 1: thing is this man I was messing with. Yeah. Keywords
- 18:30Speaker 1: in messing is mess. You have it. You know, you're
- 18:37Speaker 1: thirty one, you grown, you know what's happening. You gotta
- 18:40Speaker 1: put a stop to this because that woman ain't did
- 18:43Speaker 1: nothing to you. Now, y'all killed me with all this
- 18:46Speaker 1: I found out. He man, where's y'all detective skills? Y'all
- 18:49Speaker 1: know how to research everything else? Right, Hill Junior said,
- 18:54Speaker 1: he'll call me, but that ain't know a lot many
- 18:59Speaker 1: times I've been want single. Uh huh, oh, you say
- 19:03Speaker 1: call me, no, no, no, call me? Right said, call
- 19:08Speaker 1: me no, you don't know. M all right, We're moving
- 19:16Speaker 1: on Tracy and chat. Nouga says, I'm a single female
- 19:19Speaker 1: in my thirties, so I'm ready to be married. I
- 19:23Speaker 1: watched the interview with Oprah, Harry and Megan, and I
- 19:26Speaker 1: need your advice because unfortunately, I had a similar issue
- 19:30Speaker 1: when I met my boyfriend's family. He's very close to
- 19:33Speaker 1: his mom and she always gives me a disapproving look.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And I'd assume it's because I'm black. My parents are wealthy,
- 19:40Speaker 1: whereas his family is not. So it has it has
- 19:44Speaker 1: to be because I'm black. Should I bring up the
- 19:47Speaker 1: race subject with his mom or should I ask him
- 19:50Speaker 1: to talk to her? Wait a minute, you know calls
- 19:54Speaker 1: you black? Yah? What is your friend to bring up?
- 19:59Speaker 1: But the girl on the interview. Knew it was a call.
- 20:02Speaker 1: She was black, Marco. Huh. Now if the man's mama
- 20:06Speaker 1: is white, then that's what it is. She gives you
- 20:10Speaker 1: a disapproving look. You know what that is. It's racism.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yea yeah. And he's very close to his mom because
- 20:16Speaker 1: I know they've been I had no black babies down
- 20:18Speaker 1: there in Chatternooga. I know that if they do the
- 20:25Speaker 1: baby right. Come on, little girl, please sign up for
- 20:30Speaker 1: this mess right here. You ain't in love with nobody,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and quick compare yourself to the Raw family. You ain't
- 20:35Speaker 1: even close black as Chad nuare talking about. I was
- 20:41Speaker 1: watching them interview with You're not fitting to be on Oprah.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Don't call him no more, just crazy ass compared coming
- 20:51Speaker 1: up next, if the nephew is here with the prank
- 20:54Speaker 1: phone call, I have to you're listening Stave Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, our Cineo
- 21:03Speaker 1: Hall will be our very special guests. We're gonna have
- 21:07Speaker 1: fun talking to him about the movie coming to America.
- 21:10Speaker 1: He is a legend and he was great in the movie.
- 21:12Speaker 1: But right now we're gonna talk to the nephew. He's here.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Would run that rank back what you got for his me? Well,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I need a reference, Shirley, I need a reference. Getting
- 21:23Speaker 1: ready to do something big? Sometimes you need a reference.
- 21:26Speaker 1: You want to get some clarification on some things. So
- 21:29Speaker 1: let's go, cat dog, I need a reference. Hello. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to I'm trying to read Scotty please. Yeah. Yeah,
- 21:37Speaker 1: what's up, hey, Scotty? How are you doing? Man? I'm
- 21:40Speaker 1: trying to actually get a reference for for Monica. Monica.

- 29:23Speaker 1: talking about a legendary talent, comedian TV host. I took
- 29:27Speaker 1: the role of television hosts to a whole new level
- 29:31Speaker 1: for us as a people and a culture. He changed
- 29:35Speaker 1: the way Late Night was done forever. It has never
- 29:39Speaker 1: been done that way since it was a once it
- 29:42Speaker 1: was it was a one donner right there. He's a producer, writer, actor.
- 29:45Speaker 1: We go way back. We got so many great stories
- 29:48Speaker 1: and memories from back in the day, and he's still
- 29:50Speaker 1: doing so many big things. He's starting in the sequel
- 29:54Speaker 1: Coming to America, and his character Simmy is still fighting
- 29:58Speaker 1: for respect the Kingdom of its a moon buck. This
- 30:02Speaker 1: is a great movie, y'all. Please welcome to the show
- 30:04Speaker 1: the legend himself, one and only straight out of Cleveland.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Come on your hall, y'all. Don't nobody bring them all
- 30:16Speaker 1: like Steve Nobody, no damn body greatest ever done it?
- 30:23Speaker 1: How you daring man? I'm doing good man. I'm having
- 30:26Speaker 1: such a wonderful week and we're breaking all kinds of records.
- 30:30Speaker 1: But that's not for me to talk about. I'm glad
- 30:33Speaker 1: you y'all. Sorry, did you all all enjoy it? Yeah? Yes, yes,
- 30:38Speaker 1: very good? Hey man, you know who whose car is it? Does?
- 30:47Speaker 1: Did she make humans look like a bowl of flowers?
- 30:51Speaker 1: Was it the most beautiful it? Really? Hey? Send let
- 30:56Speaker 1: me ask you this question. Many'll talk about the movie,
- 31:00Speaker 1: but for you, for Eddie, as you all were sitting
- 31:03Speaker 1: around filming this movie, how was it? What was the
- 31:07Speaker 1: feeling between you and Eddie because you all are the
- 31:10Speaker 1: stars in this movie, what was the feeling of even
- 31:13Speaker 1: doing America too? Coming to America Too? The first day
- 31:18Speaker 1: to came in my mind as you're watching performances and
- 31:21Speaker 1: how people stepped up to the plate and brought their
- 31:23Speaker 1: a game. I remember thinking, large, thank you for Westleys Nipes.
- 31:31Speaker 1: He was so good too. Yes, you know, it's one
- 31:38Speaker 1: of them things like like you know how like at
- 31:40Speaker 1: one time the Warriors had a bit too, and then
- 31:43Speaker 1: Durant came. I was like, that's how I feel right now?
- 31:47Speaker 1: Wow wow, yeah, Golden State when they got Durant, Like, damn,
- 31:54Speaker 1: we've already had a title because I've often wonder man,
- 31:58Speaker 1: because you two like and I've said it on this
- 32:01Speaker 1: show a thousand times. I'm not saying it because you're here.
- 32:04Speaker 1: My all time favorite comedy movie of all time was
- 32:08Speaker 1: Coming to America. No, No, it's just the greatest dog,
- 32:15Speaker 1: that ignorant ass past dog. See. I know your background,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I know your father, I know where you come from,
- 32:25Speaker 1: and they don't know. This dude grew up in the church.
- 32:29Speaker 1: He know how this goal. And when you was playing
- 32:32Speaker 1: that reverend, I said, this food right here, it's just
- 32:35Speaker 1: playing his old ass self if he was acting. Yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 1: it was so true. Man. Hey, my dad wanted me
- 32:45Speaker 1: to be a preacher, and I just knew I wasn't
- 32:48Speaker 1: the man that he was, so I'm gonna play one
- 32:51Speaker 1: on TV. Everything. But my dad used to take me
- 32:56Speaker 1: to the National Baptist Minister's Convention where just imagine the
- 33:01Speaker 1: Essence festival, but nothing but sermons and sermons, and you
- 33:14Speaker 1: get to see at five years old, you get to
- 33:17Speaker 1: see every black preacher in America, and you learn all
- 33:21Speaker 1: their little idiosyncrasies. And by the time, and you never
- 33:25Speaker 1: realized in life, I know there are young people listening
- 33:27Speaker 1: to you right now. You never realized something going on
- 33:30Speaker 1: around you right now is gonna stay on your hard
- 33:33Speaker 1: drive and you're gonna use it later. So grab like
- 33:36Speaker 1: a sponge, every possible thing you can get as you
- 33:39Speaker 1: go on your journey. Because who knew that five of
- 33:42Speaker 1: those preachers at the National Baptist Minutes Convention was gonna
- 33:45Speaker 1: get combined and turned into Lord God Larry you know.
- 33:57Speaker 1: And all those people were inside me in the original
- 34:04Speaker 1: movie when the girls was out there in the BIKINNI,
- 34:07Speaker 1: I know, the r Senior Hall, when you was that minister,
- 34:13Speaker 1: I said, boy, this is this is allowing him to
- 34:16Speaker 1: really say himself as an old ass preachers because you
- 34:22Speaker 1: know as well as I do, in every church when
- 34:26Speaker 1: you have a pastor who is halfway good looking, we
- 34:31Speaker 1: know many of them in the LA area, those guys
- 34:35Speaker 1: get more play than D'Angelo, you know. I mean, yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 1: that's it's like being the rockier satique of God. Women
- 34:43Speaker 1: love looking man of the Beau. That's show business up there.
- 34:50Speaker 1: You watch him and he's dressed really nice. Preaching get
- 34:53Speaker 1: a lot of plan I was thinking this one would
- 34:55Speaker 1: not overlook these juice strings he showed Wooden Man. So
- 35:04Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Man. In this sequel
- 35:06Speaker 1: to the movie, Uh, you your character Simmey, you set
- 35:10Speaker 1: up prince like Keen thirty years ago with this chick
- 35:13Speaker 1: who is Leslie Jones, and she seduced him and they
- 35:17Speaker 1: ended up with a son. So what do you have
- 35:20Speaker 1: to say about that? Simmy, um, Wow, Leslie Jones was
- 35:26Speaker 1: so good in this movie. I often think I should
- 35:29Speaker 1: have been with her. I'll just tell you how attractive
- 35:34Speaker 1: talent is, how attractive a group performances. I should have
- 35:38Speaker 1: kept Leslie joneson myself and let him impregnate someone else.
- 35:43Speaker 1: She really was a scene stealer. She really really was
- 35:46Speaker 1: the fire he listen, I said, hold on right there
- 35:51Speaker 1: and see right there. We'll be right back. Everybody coming
- 35:53Speaker 1: right back. More with the one of the stars of
- 35:57Speaker 1: Coming to America, the sequel, our senior hall right after this.
- 36:01Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, y'all, we're back. We're back, and
- 36:06Speaker 1: on the phone this morning, we're talking to the legend,
- 36:10Speaker 1: the man who changed the face of Late Night forever.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It has never been the same since they have tried
- 36:15Speaker 1: to find it. It's not there. He was a one
- 36:18Speaker 1: and done. Our cineal Hall is our guest this morning,
- 36:23Speaker 1: and we're talking about the sequel to Coming to America,
- 36:28Speaker 1: and so it's Coming to America, of course, the sequel
- 36:31Speaker 1: to the movie It was released in nineteen eighty eight.
- 36:34Speaker 1: The movie stars a lot of the original cast, and
- 36:36Speaker 1: it's got a lot of new yet very familiar faces.
- 36:39Speaker 1: The cast of the movie talk about because I don't
- 36:42Speaker 1: have to ask you a question, you're good at this.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Talk about the cast as they put the people together,
- 36:47Speaker 1: what you and Eddie were feeling and thinking, Well, I
- 36:51Speaker 1: know you and I have talked about this already, but
- 36:53Speaker 1: I gotta make sure everybody in your audience knows it.
- 36:56Speaker 1: For starters, Eddie comes to leave this idea, and I
- 37:00Speaker 1: loved the idea. I didn't like the fact that Simmy
- 37:03Speaker 1: was gonna be the fault of everything. But because as
- 37:06Speaker 1: it was, like Simmy brought some ecstasy back with some
- 37:09Speaker 1: weed and a couple of girls, Simmy was super flies.
- 37:14Speaker 1: For a minute, I'm like, yo, let's not fought that
- 37:16Speaker 1: a little bit. Can it just be a joint laced
- 37:19Speaker 1: with Spanish flowers? But whatever, the bottom line is everything
- 37:27Speaker 1: he said to me made sense. And then he said,
- 37:30Speaker 1: and Tracy Morgan will be my son. And you know,
- 37:35Speaker 1: Simmy probably would have to listen to that, but I
- 37:38Speaker 1: was like, yo, as our sineo, that's that's insane, man.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Tracy wasn't game play your son. I mean, we loved
- 37:45Speaker 1: Tracy and we knew he needed to be in this movie.
- 37:48Speaker 1: But Eddie and Tracy look at the same age, and
- 37:50Speaker 1: he knew that would getting the way and yes, and
- 37:57Speaker 1: you know the best way to approach something when you
- 38:00Speaker 1: have a disagreements with humor, you know that's the greatest
- 38:03Speaker 1: tool ever. And I said to him, and when we
- 38:06Speaker 1: do number three, Morgan Freeman can be your son that
- 38:09Speaker 1: we found. And that made him laugh and he was like, yo, oh, oh,
- 38:16Speaker 1: you're serious. You don't think I said, no, no, we
- 38:18Speaker 1: gotta we gotta write a role for Tracy figure that out,
- 38:21Speaker 1: but we gotta have an audition for this young man
- 38:25Speaker 1: that's gonna play your son. And that became this incredible
- 38:27Speaker 1: audition that Jermaine Fowler came to and just took the role.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Like I heard about his audition and there was no
- 38:35Speaker 1: search after he walked in that room. Good job. By
- 38:38Speaker 1: the way, he's a twin. I don't know if you
- 38:40Speaker 1: all know it. He's a He's a stand up comic
- 38:42Speaker 1: and an identical twin. And if you're ever in New
- 38:45Speaker 1: York and you think you see him and he don't
- 38:47Speaker 1: treat you right, that's not him. A lot of people
- 38:52Speaker 1: say he said ran ut him, hed be real and
- 38:55Speaker 1: acause he ain't who And I said, no, no, no
- 38:56Speaker 1: nose to stop. Slow down. There's a twin and the
- 38:59Speaker 1: guy you rolled up on, he was not who you
- 39:02Speaker 1: were looking for. And he's probably annoyed that his brother
- 39:04Speaker 1: is the star of the biggest movie in America. Yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 1: hey man, stick around. We got more with our City Hall,
- 39:11Speaker 1: right because I wouldn't radio. We'll be right back with
- 39:14Speaker 1: more our city on right after that. You're listening, all right,
- 39:20Speaker 1: We're back everybody. Our special guests this morning is the
- 39:22Speaker 1: legend straight out of Cleveland. They don't produce some bad
- 39:26Speaker 1: boys about it there, Lord havent seen Jesus Kennedy, Isaac
- 39:36Speaker 1: ain't famous for one thing. And ladies and gentlemen, our
- 39:39Speaker 1: City Hall is our straight out of Cleveland, Kent State University.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Hell of a ball player too. This is what a
- 39:46Speaker 1: lot of people don't know. Cenyor Hall, Dog, this boy
- 39:53Speaker 1: had hops. Lord Jesus, this boy could fly. Cenel Hall
- 39:58Speaker 1: could fly, boy. Don't you think he couldn't as a
- 40:01Speaker 1: long time ago. Now I've hung up my cake. Dog,
- 40:05Speaker 1: Hey man, we had an inter mural basketball team called
- 40:09Speaker 1: Brothers Together that could beat the basketball team. Well, yes
- 40:15Speaker 1: that's true. Dog, the black dudes, Darryl Husson and them
- 40:18Speaker 1: could beat the basketball team. Wow. They just couldn't obey
- 40:23Speaker 1: her few But in bed at eleven, I got to
- 40:31Speaker 1: stop smoking weed? What I jump without smoking a weed? Dog,
- 40:42Speaker 1: our senior. This is Carla, my daughter. Hey, my daughter's
- 40:46Speaker 1: thirteen years old and she watched the movie. We watched
- 40:49Speaker 1: it with my husband, and she enjoyed it. Of course
- 40:51Speaker 1: she didn't see the original, but she loved Tianna Taylor,
- 40:54Speaker 1: you know, the new generation of actors casting in the movie,
- 40:58Speaker 1: and she just loved it. We had a great time.
- 41:00Speaker 1: It was a great family movie. Yeah, it was so
- 41:03Speaker 1: cool on the set. First of all, you know, I'm
- 41:05Speaker 1: a huge Cleveland Cavalier fan, and we love mister Sumper,
- 41:08Speaker 1: who is uh, Tianna Taylor is significant of it. Yeah,
- 41:12Speaker 1: and and so Kianna. I mean she just put her
- 41:15Speaker 1: foot in and she's so beautiful and she moves so well.
- 41:18Speaker 1: And then we get her and Jermaine and Oha instead
- 41:22Speaker 1: of singing she's your queen? There do and princess get off? Yes?
- 41:33Speaker 1: And what about Vanessa Bell Calloway still barking thirty years. Yes, dude,
- 41:43Speaker 1: I think Vanessa is from around our way. Yeah. And
- 41:48Speaker 1: she was brilliant to come back and to have to say, Okay,
- 41:52Speaker 1: this lady essentially had a nervous breakdown when things didn't
- 41:55Speaker 1: go right exactly, and I'm still I haven't I'm doing
- 41:59Speaker 1: my head with guerrilla glue and I'm still marching and barking.
- 42:05Speaker 1: And it was perfect. It was perfect. She was this fool.
- 42:08Speaker 1: What she did could have been something that didn't work,
- 42:11Speaker 1: but she's had such great choices and I'm so glad
- 42:14Speaker 1: she was there. That's one of those people that when
- 42:17Speaker 1: she joined the team to do this second one, I
- 42:20Speaker 1: remember being very excited. We had everybody there except of
- 42:25Speaker 1: Eric Lasale. And here's the irony. Here, here's how God
- 42:30Speaker 1: works in mysterious ways. Wesley Snipes road for the Jerry
- 42:34Speaker 1: Curl wearing Eric LaSalle rolled in the first movie and
- 42:38Speaker 1: didn't get it, lost it to Eric LaSalle. He comes
- 42:40Speaker 1: back in the second movie because God is good and
- 42:43Speaker 1: Christ is it every day. We had to work to
- 42:47Speaker 1: keep up with Westley's Knights because he's like Jenious and
- 42:50Speaker 1: and that's why God works. Never give up keep dreaming.
- 42:53Speaker 1: See that's that's the inside of Our City of Hall.
- 42:57Speaker 1: That's what has made him over the years to igine
- 43:00Speaker 1: that he is. Folks, if you have not seen this movie,
- 43:04Speaker 1: you've got to see Coming to America. It's just as
- 43:09Speaker 1: a part of our culture. It's it's people, it's the
- 43:16Speaker 1: new generation, but it's something. Finally we got a sequel
- 43:19Speaker 1: that we can go. Man. I saw both of them,
- 43:22Speaker 1: Our City Hall. It has been a wonderful conversation. I
- 43:25Speaker 1: love you, Board, Thank you for everything you've done for me.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Create the memories. And before you go, I want to
- 43:30Speaker 1: thank you for one of the greatest nights in my
- 43:32Speaker 1: life at Drey's Restaurant on a Monday night. Thank you.
- 43:43Speaker 1: We must have had some fun. Boy. Let me tell you, hey,
- 43:46Speaker 1: don't forget everybody. You can check out Coming to America
- 43:49Speaker 1: on Amazon Prime Video and the soundtrack is available for
- 43:55Speaker 1: down load. Ladies and gentlemen, The one and only Our
- 43:57Speaker 1: City of Hall. God bless you, good night. All right,
- 44:06Speaker 1: thank you are sending o Hall. We love you. Coming
- 44:09Speaker 1: up next, the nephew with the prank phone call. Right
- 44:11Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming
- 44:17Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 44:19Speaker 1: minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject
- 44:23Speaker 1: side chick title with main chick duties, side chick title
- 44:27Speaker 1: with main chick duties. All right, but we'll get into
- 44:33Speaker 1: that end just a little bit. But right now it
- 44:35Speaker 1: is time for the nephew to shine with today's prank
- 44:38Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us? Naw, can you
- 44:41Speaker 1: hear me now? Oh? Can you hear me now? Let's
- 44:48Speaker 1: go dah Hello, I'm trying to speak to Sister Lauren,
- 44:52Speaker 1: please vegan. Sister Lauren is a brother Davis from the church.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I don't know if you know me. You might know
- 44:58Speaker 1: me when you see me, but I don't know if
- 45:00Speaker 1: you just know me because we don't really interact that
- 45:02Speaker 1: much at the church. But I wanted to give you
- 45:04Speaker 1: a call. We got a bit of a problem going on. Okay, okay,
- 45:07Speaker 1: you got you get you have a minute to talk,
- 45:09Speaker 1: all right? Now? How long have you been doing uh
- 45:14Speaker 1: the sign you in the you know you in the
- 45:16Speaker 1: ministry when you do the sign language for the church,
- 45:19Speaker 1: and um, you know I noticed you up there at
- 45:22Speaker 1: least two Sundays out of a out of the month.
- 45:26Speaker 1: You've been doing it quite a while, am I right? So, yes,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I've been doing it for over ten years. But I'm
- 45:31Speaker 1: really confused as to why they're calling about this time.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I'm just really confused. I don't know who you are.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You say that, I see your faith. I may know you,
- 45:40Speaker 1: but what does this have to do with anything? Is
- 45:44Speaker 1: how long I've been doing sign language? I know? Okay,
- 45:47Speaker 1: I've been doing it for years? So how how man
- 45:50Speaker 1: help you with this? Do you want? Okay? So, no, no,
- 45:53Speaker 1: I'm not trying to learn any sign language? Do you do?
- 45:56Speaker 1: You know? Miss everybody call a Miss Murder? Do you
- 45:58Speaker 1: know Miss Murdle? Yeah? Sure you okay, So Miss Murder
- 46:03Speaker 1: that's that's that's that's that's one of my aunties right there.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Miss Murder is okay, and she gave you my number
- 46:11Speaker 1: to call me. I'm what what do you need for me? No?
- 46:15Speaker 1: That's what I'm getting at. So, so you know, you
- 46:18Speaker 1: know my you know, my honors is deaf. You know
- 46:20Speaker 1: she's hearing it, you know that? Right? Okay? Yeah? Okay,
- 46:24Speaker 1: So so here's a problem. At ain't murderless telling us
- 46:28Speaker 1: that you're not doing the sign language right, doing the service,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and like you're missing some things in the scripture or something. No, no, no,
- 46:37Speaker 1: that's incorrect. I've been doing this for a very long
- 46:41Speaker 1: time and i know what I'm doing. So how do
- 46:44Speaker 1: you So she told you for me to tell me
- 46:47Speaker 1: that I'm not doing the slings correctly, let me say,
- 46:51Speaker 1: let me say this to you. I don't want us
- 46:52Speaker 1: to get off on the wrong foot. Let me just
- 46:54Speaker 1: say this to you. Once my once my murder told
- 46:56Speaker 1: us what was going on, you know. We then went
- 47:00Speaker 1: to one of the deacons and asked him, you know,
- 47:02Speaker 1: is that way we can have a meeting, you know,
- 47:05Speaker 1: with with Sister Lawrence so we can try to get
- 47:07Speaker 1: this taken care of and talk about it. He said, well,
- 47:09Speaker 1: won't you just won't you just call and y'all can
- 47:12Speaker 1: just work it out. And that's how I'm calling you now.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I hope you don't know if you're at work or whatever.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I apologize, but I'm just trying to get to the
- 47:19Speaker 1: bottom of Now let me go, don't say this. If
- 47:22Speaker 1: my ain't myrtles say that you ain't signing right, then
- 47:26Speaker 1: my ain'tie ain't lying. That means your excuse me, that
- 47:29Speaker 1: means you ain't signing right. Really, so the pastor couldn't
- 47:34Speaker 1: come to me, but he but you figured you would
- 47:37Speaker 1: just call me and tell me that your auntie says
- 47:39Speaker 1: that I'm doing it incorrectly. That doesn't make sense to me.
- 47:42Speaker 1: How does she tell you that? Did she sign it
- 47:44Speaker 1: to you? She signed languages to her daughter. Listen, you
- 47:48Speaker 1: ain't got to worry about who she's signing too. What
- 47:50Speaker 1: you need to worry about is getting your getting your
- 47:53Speaker 1: stuff together all right, and learning how to do this
- 47:56Speaker 1: the correct way so that my ain'tie can get You know,
- 47:59Speaker 1: my ain't he needs to be getting the word like
- 48:00Speaker 1: everybody else getting the word, but she not getting it
- 48:03Speaker 1: because you the words getting loust in your hands. All
- 48:06Speaker 1: I'm hearing is your voice is getting very loud and
- 48:09Speaker 1: you need to match my tone. Young man. Okay, let's
- 48:12Speaker 1: start with that. Which I mean? Mann? Is that match
- 48:18Speaker 1: my tone? Because you're getting very loud and I can't
- 48:21Speaker 1: hear through all of that. All right, Okay, Okay, I
- 48:25Speaker 1: am said this situation you called my phone. Correct. You
- 48:30Speaker 1: have a problem that you're discussing with me, but you're
- 48:32Speaker 1: getting more anger than anything else. How am I going
- 48:34Speaker 1: to resolve this problem? I am trying to be a
- 48:37Speaker 1: court where you resolved this problem is cars back to
- 48:40Speaker 1: sign school so you can learn what you need to
- 48:42Speaker 1: so my anie can get the word. My antie can't
- 48:44Speaker 1: get out the gospel because you're messing it up. God
- 48:48Speaker 1: anointed me to do stun language at that church, and
- 48:51Speaker 1: I've been doing this for a long time and I
- 48:53Speaker 1: will continue to do so. So don't call my phone
- 48:56Speaker 1: telling me that I'm not doing something right? You know?
- 48:59Speaker 1: But do know that you're not doing it right? Do
- 49:02Speaker 1: God know that? Does God know that mine ain't myrtle
- 49:06Speaker 1: not getting the word because of you? Named young man? Jesus,
- 49:11Speaker 1: Please give me the strength to continue on with this conversation.
- 49:14Speaker 1: But you know what, Lord, I'm gonna be right back. Little.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Don't you ever call my
- 49:21Speaker 1: mother freaking phone telling about I ain't doing something. Man,
- 49:24Speaker 1: if I see you in the street, this can't I
- 49:26Speaker 1: have is gonna go upside your goddamn at? Did I
- 49:29Speaker 1: make my stuff clear? I cannot believe you talking to
- 49:33Speaker 1: me like this. Oh now you want to be calm.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Now you're calm, Now you match my tone. I can't
- 49:39Speaker 1: believe you just got through talking to me like that.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Are we done here? So you think it's cool for
- 49:44Speaker 1: you to tell the Lord. I be right back. Thank you, Lord,
- 49:48Speaker 1: I needed a moment. You right. We've been on the
- 49:50Speaker 1: stone this Lord, even on skiing at me. I told
- 49:53Speaker 1: you to match my tone. Match my tone. I am
- 49:57Speaker 1: matching your tone. Now can I say? Can I? Can
- 50:01Speaker 1: I give you something else in this tone? Do you mind?
- 50:04Speaker 1: If I say something in this tone? You're gonna hear
- 50:07Speaker 1: a click in the dog quick go ahead. I just
- 50:10Speaker 1: want to tell you in this tone that your friend
- 50:13Speaker 1: Vonda Taylor got me to prank phone call you. I
- 50:16Speaker 1: am nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. In
- 50:20Speaker 1: your tone, you does oh, Lord, have mercy? What Bonda
- 50:27Speaker 1: Bonda Taylor? Bonda Taylor tell me? You bet? I put
- 50:31Speaker 1: this on the radio, on the radio, BA in Jesus name,
- 50:38Speaker 1: AMENI I'm not playing any game time me. I think
- 50:42Speaker 1: it's funny, but this thinks this is my job here. Listen,
- 50:46Speaker 1: everything is fine? Are you having going me? I had
- 50:49Speaker 1: to tell Jesus give me a minute because you was
- 50:51Speaker 1: about to be my pressure up. Lord, have mercy. I
- 50:55Speaker 1: don't even want to hear it, but I will be
- 50:56Speaker 1: calling Bonda because I have some mercy. Oh, Lord, Lord,
- 51:01Speaker 1: please forgive me. Okay, you gotta, you gotta do this
- 51:05Speaker 1: for me in my tone, in my tone. Tell me
- 51:08Speaker 1: in your tone, what is the baddest radio show in
- 51:11Speaker 1: the land? In your tone? To match my tone? I
- 51:23Speaker 1: love it. Match my tone. Okay, too much. She was
- 51:28Speaker 1: tired of you. She was tired of you. I've been
- 51:32Speaker 1: anointed to do this, doing it for years. I love
- 51:37Speaker 1: the fact she checked in with the Lords. I'll be
- 51:39Speaker 1: right back, but I'm fit to talk to his ass differently. See,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to start. You know, I learned something
- 51:49Speaker 1: from Earth. I'm gonna have to start telling the Lord.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I'll be back in a minute. Because normal I just
- 51:54Speaker 1: check out. Yeah, I'm gonna start notifying it. You know,
- 51:59Speaker 1: you've been checking out and checking back in. You're just
- 52:02Speaker 1: I know. But I want to start to saying it
- 52:04Speaker 1: to people. Yeah, because I do go in and out.
- 52:09Speaker 1: You know. I did off podcasts with Kirk Franklin Huh
- 52:15Speaker 1: yesterday and Kurt asked me the most interesting question on
- 52:21Speaker 1: the podcast. Well, he said, one thing, I've always appreciated
- 52:25Speaker 1: your transparency, and I know your cuss but do you
- 52:29Speaker 1: have a favorite cuss word one that's your go to
- 52:33Speaker 1: cuss word. What you k Kirk, I told him, I said, yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: I told him. I said, it's the big one, Kurt.
- 52:47Speaker 1: You know, you know he said on this podcast, I
- 52:50Speaker 1: call you because you can say stuff like that on
- 52:51Speaker 1: my podcast. Cool he is gave it and I gave
- 52:57Speaker 1: him a series of the examples of how to use it,
- 53:00Speaker 1: because it's one of the most versatile cuss words. I said,
- 53:02Speaker 1: because it can, it can, it can fall. It's a happy,
- 53:06Speaker 1: it's a warning, it's it's a proclamation on every possible
- 53:16Speaker 1: it's a term of endearment. Kurt say, oh my god, Steve.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Kurt disappeared off the screen. He would laugh for so hard. No,
- 53:26Speaker 1: I don't know who's better you with Sam Jackson, but
- 53:29Speaker 1: that's a tight race right now. All right, listen, we
- 53:31Speaker 1: gotta get out of here, guys. Coming up next Strawberry
- 53:34Speaker 1: Letter side Chick title with main Chick Duties. We'll get
- 53:37Speaker 1: into the Strawberry Letter right after this. You're listening to

- 53:46Speaker 1: Letter and listen. If you need advice on relationships, on dating, work, sex, parenting,
- 53:52Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey
- 53:55Speaker 1: FM dot com and click submit Strawberry letter. We could
- 53:59Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 54:02Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right here, right now. Buckle
- 54:05Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 54:08Speaker 1: It is a Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephews. Subject side
- 54:12Speaker 1: chick title with main chick duties Dear Stephen Shirley, don't
- 54:17Speaker 1: go anywhere Tommy. I may need Tommy. It says Tommy
- 54:20Speaker 1: and Jay to offer some advice on this one, if
- 54:24Speaker 1: you don't mind, since they're the side piece experts on
- 54:27Speaker 1: the show. Word gets around. Hah, nephew. I've been a
- 54:34Speaker 1: proud side chick to a married man for over seven years.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I know what was up when we met, and I
- 54:41Speaker 1: was fine with it. I was happy to provide laughter,
- 54:44Speaker 1: fun times, and a lot of great sex once or
- 54:46Speaker 1: twice a week. For the most part, I've held up
- 54:49Speaker 1: my end of the deal. Now that we're getting older,
- 54:52Speaker 1: he's been expecting more from me. If I cook, he
- 54:55Speaker 1: expects to come eat dinner over at my house. Some
- 54:58Speaker 1: days he's asking me to pick his clothes from the cleaners,
- 55:01Speaker 1: run to the mall to buy him some cologne, or
- 55:03Speaker 1: stop by the pharmacy and pick up his prescriptions. One day,
- 55:07Speaker 1: I asked him, if I'm doing all of this stuff,
- 55:10Speaker 1: what is his wife doing nowadays in her spare time.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I've never had one argument with this man, and I
- 55:16Speaker 1: truly love him. But if he expects me to do
- 55:18Speaker 1: more for him, then I want him to do more
- 55:21Speaker 1: for me. I don't bother him for money or gifts
- 55:24Speaker 1: because he has always been generous and thoughtful, but the
- 55:27Speaker 1: extra duties are causing a problem for me. Saturday, I
- 55:30Speaker 1: picked up his medicine from Walgreens and some vitamins he
- 55:33Speaker 1: asked for. I had a new guide come over later
- 55:37Speaker 1: that night and he saw the medicine bag on the table.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I told him it was for my uncle, and he
- 55:43Speaker 1: believed me. Yes, I date other men from time to time.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Exclamation mark. No matter what, I have always put my
- 55:51Speaker 1: side chick duties first and never let anything interfere with
- 55:54Speaker 1: my duties. I need the same respect from my main man.
- 55:58Speaker 1: I want to pay increase if he expects me to
- 56:01Speaker 1: do more. I take it seriously and he knows it.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Because this arrangement has been paying my bills for years.
- 56:07Speaker 1: He won't give me a raise, and how can I
- 56:10Speaker 1: get him to pay up. Wow, Okay, this is different,
- 56:15Speaker 1: different letter here. Yeah, you know you want to know
- 56:19Speaker 1: how can you get him to pay up? I guess
- 56:21Speaker 1: the easy answer is just to stop doing anything extra
- 56:24Speaker 1: for him, since he's not gonna give you a raise.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I mean, that's the easy answer. It sounds like he's
- 56:30Speaker 1: starting to take you for granted now and he does
- 56:33Speaker 1: want more. He's totally ignoring whatever arrangement you guys had
- 56:37Speaker 1: in the beginning. You asked him a question about what
- 56:41Speaker 1: is his wife doing now that you're doing all of
- 56:43Speaker 1: this extra stuff, but you didn't say you got an
- 56:46Speaker 1: answer for him from him. You know, he wants you
- 56:49Speaker 1: to just pick up his meds or cook or go
- 56:51Speaker 1: to the cleaners. That was kind of I guess his answer.
- 56:56Speaker 1: But since you're asking, I have a question for you,
- 56:59Speaker 1: because I've never quite heard this before. A proud side chick.
- 57:04Speaker 1: A proud side chick. Does that mean you're happy, you're
- 57:08Speaker 1: happy in your role, you're happy to be number two,
- 57:11Speaker 1: that you're okay with wasting your time with this man,
- 57:14Speaker 1: that you won't want your own husband one day. It
- 57:17Speaker 1: doesn't sound like any of that stuff matters to you.
- 57:21Speaker 1: But really, I don't believe you're proud. I just believe
- 57:23Speaker 1: you're in it and this is what it is. I
- 57:26Speaker 1: think you know you get sad sometimes. I think maybe
- 57:29Speaker 1: you do wish you could be wifey. I think that
- 57:32Speaker 1: I'm glad you have another man, since you made that
- 57:36Speaker 1: clear in your letter. But where are you going with
- 57:39Speaker 1: all of this stuff in your life? That's the most
- 57:42Speaker 1: important questions. What about your future and what you want
- 57:45Speaker 1: and your dreams and your goals and all of that.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I think you should think about those questions. You should
- 57:50Speaker 1: think about how you're being treated right now with all
- 57:53Speaker 1: the extra stuff, and maybe if you sit down and
- 57:56Speaker 1: think about it what you really want, maybe you'll get
- 57:58Speaker 1: the strength to walk away from this situation. Steve. Now,
- 58:04Speaker 1: now see I got all this right, I got all
- 58:08Speaker 1: the answer to this right here. Because see his lady
- 58:11Speaker 1: right here, she's confused. And when you said I have
- 58:21Speaker 1: been a proud side check to a married man for
- 58:23Speaker 1: over seven years, I knew what was up when we met.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I was fine with it. Okay, Hello, you've just described
- 58:33Speaker 1: your relationship. You was fine with it for seven years,
- 58:39Speaker 1: And then you said I was happy to provide laughter,
- 58:42Speaker 1: fun times, and a lot of great sex. Once or
- 58:45Speaker 1: twice a week for the most part, out of held
- 58:48Speaker 1: up my head, my deal. Well, now we're getting older now,
- 58:53Speaker 1: so now what do you want? He's been expecting more
- 58:57Speaker 1: from me if I could. He expects to come over
- 59:01Speaker 1: and eat dinner at my house. Okay, you cook, Well
- 59:05Speaker 1: you're gonna get all everybody yourself. You don't want the
- 59:10Speaker 1: proud side chick. Not now you want to complain. Sherley's right.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Are you really the proud side chick? Are you just
- 59:21Speaker 1: the side chick? So then he says he's asking me
- 59:26Speaker 1: to pick up clothes from the cleaners, run the mail,
- 59:29Speaker 1: buy him some cologne, stop by the pharmacy, pick up prescription.
- 59:32Speaker 1: One day, asking if I'm doing all his stuff, what's
- 59:35Speaker 1: his wife doing nowadays in her spare time? He didn't
- 59:38Speaker 1: give you an answer. Well, let me help you out.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Do you know what his wife is doing? See, if
- 59:43Speaker 1: you're doing all this extra stuff, it frees up his
- 59:46Speaker 1: wife to be more relaxed and less stressed out. Thanks
- 59:50Speaker 1: to you. Oh, she enjoyed herself. So now he got
- 59:58Speaker 1: a happy wife because she ain't got to go pick
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: up the scriptures, cooking, no dinner, she ain't gotta make it,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: get no medicine because he got chose stupid ass doing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: all this proud but she signed up for talking about you,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: the proud side chick. Just what the proud side chick
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: get And when we come back, I'm finished, Square, I'm
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: finna sell it all for you. I'm going to help
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you understand exactly where you at. All right, hold, Steve,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour subject side chick title
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: with main chick duties. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject side
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: chick title with main chick duties. It is woman been
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: the proud side chick to a married man for seven years.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: She knew what was up when she met him. She
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: was fine with it. Happened to provide laughter, fun times,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and a lot of Grade six once or twice a week.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: That's what you said, you signed up for that. You
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: said you was happy to provide that, and guess what,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: he was happy to accept it. So now for the
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: most part, out of the hell of mind to deal.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Now we're getting older. Oh, now you're older now, and
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: he's been expecting more from me. If I cook, he
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: expected to come over and heat dine at my house
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: some days. Okay, you cook, obviously made enough for him,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: so he over your house eating. He asked me to
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: pick up his clothes from the clean is running the mail,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: buy him some cologne or shot by the pharmacy, pick
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: up some prescriptions and guess what you're doing it because
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: you're the proud side chick. But the title is side
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: chick with main chick duties. You signed up for this.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: One day, I ask him, if I'm doing all this stuff,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: then what is his wife doing it? Like I told
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you earlier, See, if you're doing all this extra stuff,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: it frees up his wife to be more relaxed and
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: less stressed out at home thanks to you, because now
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: all she got to do it lay down when he wanted,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: she could do what she wants. She watching TV, she
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: got her feet up because the side chick is doing
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: all the remedial tasks. Now, I've never had one argument
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: with this man, and I truly love him, But if
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: he expects me to do more for him, that I
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: want him to do more for me. It's too late.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: It's too late do more for you? What? What? What?
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: What are you getting? All you gonna get? You the
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: side chick. You might be doing wifey duties, but you
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: ain't gonna get wifey rights, You ain't gonna get wifey credits,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and you show ain't gonna get wifey benefits. So now,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: what extra do you want him to do? Well, let's
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: get into the letter. I don't bother him for money
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: or for gifts, because he's always been generous and thoughtful.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: So that means he break you off a little bit,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: that's all that means. But the extra duties are causing
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: a problem for me. Sad that I picked up his
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: medicine from Walgreen and some vitamins he asked me for.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I had a new guy come over late that night.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: He saw the medicine bag on the table and I
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: add toldy mills from my uncle, and he believed me. Yes,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: I date other men from time to time. Okay, so
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you don't want nothing for yourself. You just want some
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: sex from some men. You're a proud side chick, and
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: you probably a side chick to some other people too,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: because why are you dating other men? You ain't in
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: a full blown relationship with nobody but the married man
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: for seven years. So you are double side. You ain't
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: nothing but slow is there to be proud of because
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: you slow? You ain't the greens or the black eyed peas.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: You is just slow. But Slaw by herself, ain't nothing.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: She wanted you to comment, Tommy Slaw. I'm gonna let
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Tomma let tom Slaw is the cheapest item side item
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you can buy. You ain't bake bees, You ain't the
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: macaroni and cheese. You ain't the yams. You ain't the greenes.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: You're the slow. So now here we go. I told him,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: so there was uncle. He believe it. No matter what.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I've always put my side chick duties first and never
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: let anything interfere with my duties. I need the same
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: respect from my main man. I want to pay increase
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: if he expects me to do more, if I take
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it seriously. He knows it's because the arrangement has been
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: paying my bills for years. He won't give me a raise.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: How could I get him to pay up? You can't
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: listen to me. You are the side chick that has
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: been performing your duties for minimum wage. Now I don't
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: know if you've been keeping up with the news or not.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But the stimulus package just got passed by the Biden
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Kamala Harris administration. In this new stimulus bill, they put
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: forth a new minimum wage law to try to get
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: fifteen dollars an hour. They shot that down. Even the
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: stimulus package ain't giving people a rage when it comes
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to minimum wage. So you're not getting a raise for
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: minimum wage either. Side chicks don't get full blown salaries
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: with benefits. You the side chick you signed up for it.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: You're sitting up in here talking about you thought you've
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: been receiving minimum wage and then you said, now you're talking. Look,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: he's not taking you for granted, he's just taking them see,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: and then you don't win out and to worsen your situation,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you are now seeing other men too, but you ain't
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: in a serious relationship with them because guess what you
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: probably say, side chick too, you have not set yourself
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: up to be nobody's number one, and now you won't
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: raise and pay later, lady, come on that. You got
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: to stop this foolishness because the clock is ticking and
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: you older. Now when we come back, I'm gonna let
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Tommy talk to you. Tommy, the side chick expert. Uncle
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Steven told you what the deal is. But now, since
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: you want to really hit, I'm gonna let you hear
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: from Tommy. Ladies and gentlemen, we come back side chick
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: advice from one of the side piece kids. Go all right,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: we'll be back with part three of the Strawberry Letters,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: side chick title with main chain duties and Tommy right
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, guys, Here we are
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: part three of today's Strawberry Letters. Sometimes they're so good
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: we have to have three parts. Side chick title with
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: main chick duties. Go ahead, Steve. This woman wants to raise.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: She tied to do an actual She won't to know
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: what the man's wife is doing. If she's doing all
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: this extra stuff, Well the wife had the house relaxing
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: because you're doing all extra stuff. I gave you solid advice,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: but you want to hear from Tommy. So Tommy, here's
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: this woman that's chick number two, the very proud side chick,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: and she wants to know. She just want to get
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: a raise in pay for being side chick number two.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: What do you have to say, and I understand it wholeheartedly. Listen,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna jump in here first and say I'm not
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: gonna let Uncle Steve sit here and ruin the side
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: chick nation. We're not going to do that. You're not
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: going to commit here and ruin a good thing that's
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: going on with a lot of people across this country. Now, listen,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: young lady, you don't have to be the side check
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: what you can do. Let's just change the title, all right,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: You the second wife. You see what I'm saying. Let's
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: make that thing look a little better what it is.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: You can be wife. Yeah, you can be you know,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: second wife or be wife, but you don't have to
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: be you know, uh going yeah, like as an a b. Yeah,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: he was asking to go to prison. Go ahead, tell
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: me you can be. Now. If this man is not
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: owning up and taking care of his side chick duties,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: then guess what we got to go get this money? Baby.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: We got to take him to court. I don't see
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: no other way around this. We got to take him
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to court. And your honor will understand because your honor
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: probably got a side piece too. So guess what we
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: got to take him to court because this money is
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: due to you, because you have earned it, and you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: put in seven years of work and you are old
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: this much. We are not gonna let Steve Harvey jump
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: on here and ruin the side piece nation, all side
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: pieces stand up. We're not gonna do it today. And
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I mean that. Okay, stand up for what's your what's
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: old to you, what's what's what's what's supposed to be

- 1:09:14Speaker 1: go into that courtroom with you, Tommy, and I will
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: stand by your side and help Tommy. You can't see,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: but you all zoom your little boy to walk in
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: the room dying, stupid messing. Your family was lift you,

- 1:09:48Speaker 1: radio show from home. Y'all all zoom thommas. A little
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: boy walked in the room, and I say, hey, Tommy,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: you need to shut this down. Half your family just
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: walked in the room. Hey Mommy, Hey mommy, what is
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Decide Chick Daddy talking about? I said, Tommy, all right, listen,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Coming up more of
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at the top of the hour,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: right after you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: jury selection began yesterday and the Derek Chauvin murder trial
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: for the murder of George Floyd. There are three jurors seated.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: The first juror is a chemist who said he was
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: an advocate of community policing who believes all lives matter equally.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: He said he has not seen the video of Floyd's death.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: And the second juror who hasn't seen a minute? Wait,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: who hasn't seen that? Yeah? Everybody saw that. Come on,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: now what laboratory was he end? And he end just
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: now surfacing he ain't seen the video. Yeah, well they're
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: gonna show it to you court. You see it? Yeah
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and yeah, all right. So the second juror was seated.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: She said she was super excited to be called for
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: jury duty. And I hear that she may be related
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: to a police officer. I'm trying to read. Okay, more,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: here we go. Super excited is a clue too, that's right? Yeah. Meanwhile, yeah,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: she seated, Yeah, super excited. He wants about concerned? Yeah, okay,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Now here's a third juror. He's a financial auditor who
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: said he's formed a somewhat negative impression of Derek Chauvin
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: due to primarily due primarily to the death of George Floyd,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: but that he could set his opinions aside to render
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: a verdict based solely on the evidence presented in court.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I'm gone and don't need to ask to Steve harready
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: to sit on your ask jury. I can tell you
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: that right now because I'm sitting up there with my
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: arms folded the whole trial. Yeah it's mister Harvey. Well,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: soon we get miss Harvey. What information are you waiting?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I'm just waiting on the vote for the very But
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I don't put nothing past it because you know he
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: saw this with Trayvon Martin and that year with his
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: trial or George Zimmerman. They yeah, he gotta way cleaning.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: You know. They've built like a fortress type fence around
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the courthouse, right and only one member of each family
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: is allowed. But I gotta tell you something, though, Sherley, Huh,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: this one right here is different. If this man gets
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: away with this whole this whole country, Yeah, this whole
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: world gonna do you know, man, they were marching in
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Germany for this. Yeah, London, they set up and watched
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: this whole world was at the house. Yeah, because of
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the pandemic, Like they're going to sacrifice him. Well, what
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: they're trying to say, I guess the defense is going
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: to be did he cause George Floyd's death? Or where
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: there other underlying conditions that caused his death? I'm telling
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: for seven minutes and forty six seconds of eight minutes. Yes,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: But see what they're trying to say is he had
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: a hard condition and all his possible drugs or all
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: this that they're going to try to paint this character
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: about him, whatever it was, he may not have died
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: that day. Well if he had all this And the
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: statement he kept repeating was I can't breathe, Thank yes,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: thank you. You don't have the right to stop a
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: man from breathing with your knee on his neck, with
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: your hand in his pocket because you want to be
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: a spank ass authoritative figure. Yeah, if this man don't
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: do some serious I'm gonna tell you right now, I
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: don't advocate violence, and I'm not doing it on this show,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you right now, it's gonna be
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: some hell up in this country. It's gonna be some
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: hell in this country. I'm telling y'all right now, and
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: this is not Steve promoting violence, but don't you don't
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: you if you let this man go with that, it's
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: gonna be some hell up in hell. Yeah. Justice, Yeah,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: you ain't got enough police to squash what they gonna do. Yeah,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Like I was saying, Steve, the judge rule that only
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: one member of George Floyd's family and one member of
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Derek Chauvin's family will be allowed to attend the murder trial.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: It's in a Minneapolis courtroom because of COVID nineteen restrictions.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: And uh wow, we'll have more of trending stories and
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: twenty minutes. Right after this, you're listening to the Stave
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. President Biden's dog trainer says the White
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: House was just too crazy of an environment for German
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: shepherds used to you know, they're used to chilling in Delaware,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: just chilling calmly, you know, and they need more training,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: so they are going back to the White House. Okay,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: it was just too hype in the White House for them.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: They're going back, and he says that he's the man
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: to do the job. His name is Mark Tobin. He's
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: trained Biden's dogs Major in champ before. He appeared on
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: TMZ Live on Tuesday and said that the President's dogs
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: suffered from culture shock at the White House. They went
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: from a typical single family home to a residence jam
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: packed with hundreds of strange people, and it was then
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: an insane amount of activity for them. So that's why Major,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: you know, was barking at people and charging them everything
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: because he didn't know what was going on, especially people.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I'm sure they got close to the President and stuff.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: You know, he's trying to protect his man. Yeah, his master.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Yeah who Yeah, We're they gonna retrain him, so that's good.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Yeah they need more training, Yeah yeah, they need a
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: little more. And I'm sure they want to put that
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: out so people won't have any kind of fear of
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: adopting a rescue dog, you know, right, right, And we're
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: used to having pets in the White House, Okay, just
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: for four years we didn't with Donald Trump. That other
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: dog hears talking to him. No, look, we're gonna go
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: to this players when we can expected him, right, out,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: don't mention. No, We'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Morning Show at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, and it's time for
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: All right, Steve. This one is from Elise in Saint Louis.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: She says, I'm thirty eight and my husband is thirty six,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: and all day long he is on Instagram looking at
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: girls pictures and leaving comments on them. This makes me
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: feel insecure and unpretty. And I've told him that. He
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: said that he chose me for a reason and he'd
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: never be with an Instagram model type of chick in
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: real life. He doesn't care how it affects me. Should
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: married couples be on Instagram? You can be on Instagram,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: but the comments, the lie is I would never be
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: with an Instagram chick. That's a lie because what are
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: you on there for? So what you're on there looking at? Yeah,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I'm telling you right now, homie, get off, get off,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: all right? Thank you? Cielo Hiawatha in South Carolina. Hiawatha
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: in South Carolina love that name. I'm a divorced female
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: raising a seventeen year old son, and he's driving me nuts.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: There are days that I come home and I can
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: tell has been a female in my house. It could
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: be a random strand of weave on the couch, or
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: he's decided to wash his sheets all of a sudden.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: And I talked to his dad and he said it's
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: normal for him to be having sex. He said he's
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: told our son to be responsible and respectable. He told
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: me to ease up a bit. But how do I
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: do that? I don't know how you do it, But
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. You ain't gonna talk
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: him out of it. That's not gonna happen. Once you
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: taste the fruit, that flavor never leaves your mouth. He
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: gonna die with this. Yeah, it's just no going back.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: He not finished, stops seeing girls. He'd have sex. Now
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: what you've been to tell him, don't do that no more.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: It's his whole mission in life. Now, that's forever till
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: he leave. Not in your house. He breaking rules, and
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: the husband needs to establish rules. But they're gonna be
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: in a car, or they're gonna be somewhere at her house.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: I mean, you know you should say, hey, man, the
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: father should pull his son to the side and gonna look.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: He did, I know what you're doing, but you got
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: to respect your mama. Yeah, he should tell him, because
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: he did pull him to the side and told him
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to be responsible and respectable. That's it. No, he was
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: saying be responsible. All he told him do he makes
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you use a com that's all he told He ain't
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: told him, don't come in this house. But you got
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: to respect your mother though. That's right, that's what he
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: needs to tell him. Make it having sexually as young girl.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: He's not thinking that's disrespected. He's just answering to his hormones.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: What happened to doing it and getting away with it
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: and nobody and knowing you doing it? What happened to that?
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: It's called the internet, It's called his mom can tell
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: because there's a weave here on her sofa, and yeah,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: come on, and the sheets he's watching up from now on, well,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: coming up. It is our last break of the day,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and of course we will have some closing remarks at
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after from the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Morning Show, All right, guys,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day on this
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: hump day Wednesday. What a great day. We got to
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: say a very special thank you to the one and
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: only our Cineo Hall today. Yeah, it really thank you. Yeah,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: make sure you go check out Coming to America. Great
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: movie I left from beginning to end. Great movie. Yeah
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: on Amazon Prime, right, Amazon Prime, that's right, Yes, that's right.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Good watching today. Yeah you should. It's funny. You'll enjoy. Yeah,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: that's your favorite movie Coming to America. Favorite comedy movie. Yeah.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I'm not really a big fan of comedy movies because
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: they don't really make me laugh. Only a few, because
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: I just you're a comedian. Yeah, I kind of jumped
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: at jokes and yeah, think about it in a different way.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: It's some funny stuff out there. But like Hangover was
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: hysterical to me when that dude pulled his tooth to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: prove that he was a dentist. Boy was in the holiday.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: I was in that holiday and then married this health
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: for I said, and don't none of it. It wasn't
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: took them rufus And let me tell you something, man,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Oh it was good. And what was so good about
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the first Hangover to me was the end when you
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: don't really know what happened, and they showed the pictures
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: so they man to figure out what went on in
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: that hostel. That was genius. That's what happened. You get
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: a baby in Vace bo Ass was in trouble and
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: the time Fat Dune went to Beard was having the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: time of his life. But back to coming to America though, Steve,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: You're gonna love it you. Eddie is brilliant. Our senior
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Leslie Jones such a scene stealer. And Wesley Snipes Yeah, hey, um,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: you know in closing today, I want to I want
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to give people something to really hang their hat on,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you know. Um. I did a podcast yesterday with Kirk
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Franklin and it was a really interesting conversation because Kirk
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: is one of my favorite Christians. And the reason being
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: is because Kurt taught me something. Because when I first
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: met Kurt, I didn't have the relationship that I had
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: with God today. But Kirk really really helped me man,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: and I gave him credit on his podcast because Kirk
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Franklin taught me one of the most important lessons about
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: having a relationship with God that has really kept me
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: through some tough times as trying to be a better person.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: You know. He said, God doesn't require your perfection, He
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: requires your persistence. And Kurt told me, he said, look, man,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: when you fall, and you will fall, just get back up,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: go again. When you make a mistake, and you will
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: make mistakes, that doesn't mean that you're no longer a Christian,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: or you're no longer a person or faith. It's just
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: you stumbled. And that's what grace is all about. God
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: gives us grace to stumble. He says it all throughout
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: the Bible that there's none perfect, no knight one that
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: includes all of us. So look, man, I'm saying this
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: to say to everybody, give yourself a real chance that
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: success by forming a relationship with God that isn't a
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: living soul that doesn't need hilp. Look, if you're an atheist,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I'm not talking to you because that's not my job.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I'm not in the converting atheist business. If you choose
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: not to believe in God, then do you. I'm talking
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: about people who are in constant search and needing answers
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: and help and direction and some guidance and need some
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: answers to some questions and trying to get this thing
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: figured out all of that is in your relationship with God.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: The better relationship you form with him, the more understanding,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: the more he reveals to you, the more he strengthens you,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: the more he provides for you to get to where
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: you're trying to get to. Now, you may not get
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: there in the time frame that you have in mind,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: but if you would just attune yourself to His will.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I was reading something in this book called Jesus Calling
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: the other day, and one of the things that I
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: had underlined back on February fifteenth and sixteenth of this
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: book was, I know I have dreams and aspirations as plans,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: as do everybody else. But if you would stop always
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: going to God asking him for something, and take a
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: moment and attune yourself to what God is already doing,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: it would really increase your ability to live a better
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: quality life. It would reduce your stress, help you stop
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: from some of that is weary. It would lessen your
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: moments of confusion. I said lessen. I didn't say it
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: would end it. It will lessen. I didn't say there
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: won't be no more problems. I'm saying he will sting you.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I'm not saying you won't be faced with temptation, He'll
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: just help you. And I'm not saying that you won't fall,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: because you will fall, but he will forgive you. Y'all,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: get yourself a relationship with God. Talk to him him,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: tell him you know you've been falling short. He already
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: no man. And one of the things I had to
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: admit to Kirk Franklin when I was going through my
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: period of homelessness that I was feeling like God, I
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: can't believe you letting me go through this, and how
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: have you abandoned me? I had to have a real
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: come to Jesus moment in that car one time, and
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: I really had to remember that it wasn't Jesus that
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: had abandoned me at all. I had actually abandoned him.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: And the moment I turned around and asked for help,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: he gave it to me. He'll do the same thing
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: for you. Farm relationship with God. Get close to him,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: talk to him, tell him what you need, what you want,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Ask him to show you what his will is for you.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: It all change your whole life. Man, is your best
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: chance as success that I know for show. Okay, y'all
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: have a great day. We'll see you tomorrow. Talk to
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: God he loved to hear from you. Y'all be all
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: right now, Peace for all. Steve Harvey Contests no purchase necessary,
