- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in its tubings. Not true good it
- 0:22Speaker 1: hasten to mother for Please, I don't join joining me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You turn you you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you haven't got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your thing.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I show, well, come on it. Everybody you
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey, Oh yeah, man, got a
- 2:12Speaker 1: radio show. Do you understand that? I'm telling you God
- 2:16Speaker 1: been big in my life. I'm not gonna kid you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm telling you in here do the same thing for you. God.
- 2:23Speaker 1: God is a gentleman, you know. I want to I
- 2:25Speaker 1: want to point that out to you. God is an
- 2:28Speaker 1: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us
- 2:39Speaker 1: the power of choice. You know, if you say you
- 2:42Speaker 1: got it, I don't need you. He let you have it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: If you say I need you, come see about me.
- 2:49Speaker 1: He right there. It's just a real simple thing. Man.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So always say to people this if you've gotten yourself
- 2:58Speaker 1: into something, please know I have. I was stuck. I
- 3:05Speaker 1: thought a couple of times, well might not make it
- 3:10Speaker 1: past this one. But then if I don't make it
- 3:13Speaker 1: past it, what's gonna happen? And then I held on
- 3:17Speaker 1: to this little thing that my mother kept talking to
- 3:20Speaker 1: me about. She said, sometimes, so when you ain't got
- 3:23Speaker 1: nothing else in you, just hope, she said, Just hope
- 3:27Speaker 1: it'll be all right, you know. And what I've learned
- 3:30Speaker 1: in my life is that hope is the beginning of faith. Hope.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's just is there a possibility out there for me?
- 3:41Speaker 1: I sure hope something happened. See hope, hope it's okay, man,
- 3:48Speaker 1: Because like I say, for me, the way I've lived
- 3:51Speaker 1: my life, hope was the beginning of faith. It was
- 3:54Speaker 1: just the idea. It's just the thought that something could
- 3:58Speaker 1: change from me, that something could be a little bit
- 4:01Speaker 1: different from me, that maybe, man, just maybe for some reason,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I could be saved, I could be rescued. Things could
- 4:10Speaker 1: turn around, it could head in the other direction. Maybe
- 4:14Speaker 1: I could quit messing up. Maybe somebody will forgive me,
- 4:18Speaker 1: Maybe somebody will just say all right. I don't know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: but I can't count the times I've been in that position.
- 4:25Speaker 1: But then once I hope a little bit, and then
- 4:27Speaker 1: I remember also my mother, because she was a Sunday
- 4:30Speaker 1: school teacher, she taught me the most valuable lesson I've
- 4:34Speaker 1: ever learned in my life. Nothing has been greater in
- 4:37Speaker 1: my life than my faith. She taught me to pray.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Mamma used to say, when it get real dark for
- 4:42Speaker 1: your son, prad changes things. She said, when you seem
- 4:46Speaker 1: like you lost and you can't finding your way, stop
- 4:51Speaker 1: and pray, she said, because prad changes things. You know,
- 4:55Speaker 1: when you get a point in your life when you've
- 4:57Speaker 1: done all you can do and you can't do no
- 4:58Speaker 1: more and you just don't know what to do next,
- 5:02Speaker 1: she says, stop, suh, pray and combine that prayer with
- 5:07Speaker 1: that hope that you got, she said, because that hope
- 5:11Speaker 1: is the beginning of faith. She said. If you pray
- 5:14Speaker 1: just hoping, she's saying that God come through for you.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That will give you confidence that he can do it again.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And then after a while you quit hoping, she's saying,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you start believing. She's saying, that's when you're on to something.
- 5:27Speaker 1: If you can turn that hope into belief, that hope
- 5:31Speaker 1: into faith, the ability to believe in something that you
- 5:35Speaker 1: can't see. But the key though the faith is you're
- 5:39Speaker 1: believing in something that you can't see. See hoping a
- 5:43Speaker 1: little bit different from me Now, I'm pretty sure, Like
- 5:46Speaker 1: I say oftentimes to tell a lot of people who
- 5:48Speaker 1: can explain this thing a lot better than I can
- 5:50Speaker 1: to you, but just from my side of it, being
- 5:54Speaker 1: as real as I can be rich. See, hope helps. Man.
- 5:58Speaker 1: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and then if you pray with some hope and God
- 6:04Speaker 1: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence
- 6:08Speaker 1: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now ain't
- 6:13Speaker 1: just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something that
- 6:17Speaker 1: I cannot see. Faith has been the key to my
- 6:24Speaker 1: entire existence, even when I didn't have any It was faith,
- 6:29Speaker 1: as I look back on it, that has gotten me here,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and not just faith, but my faith. See, you will
- 6:38Speaker 1: only get to where you're going in your life based
- 6:42Speaker 1: on your faith. See A lot of people get the
- 6:46Speaker 1: word faith confused, like what's your faith? And then they
- 6:49Speaker 1: started going down this whole list of all these different
- 6:52Speaker 1: religions out here, But really an essence. Man, when I
- 6:55Speaker 1: talk to people about faith, I'm talking to you about
- 6:58Speaker 1: your your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen?
- 7:05Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the things you can't see?
- 7:09Speaker 1: How much do you believe in the impossible? How much
- 7:13Speaker 1: do you believe see? Because faith is the belief in
- 7:19Speaker 1: things that you cannot see. Faith is the core of
- 7:25Speaker 1: all that is happening to me today. It is the
- 7:28Speaker 1: faith that I have in my relationship with God that
- 7:32Speaker 1: enables me to just oftentimes, if I stay on the
- 7:38Speaker 1: right course and believe a certain way and act a
- 7:41Speaker 1: certain way, his blessings just poor. They just come. And
- 7:48Speaker 1: it comes in a lot of little ways too. I've
- 7:50Speaker 1: started to notice, see it ain't just a lot of
- 7:53Speaker 1: people think blessings is money, and now, man, that ain't it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It's coverage. It's every time my plane land safe. It's
- 8:02Speaker 1: every time they predict bad weather and I get up
- 8:05Speaker 1: in the sky and it don't be no bad weather.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You know this, This is favor. These are blessings that
- 8:12Speaker 1: get poured out to me. Somebody call me and offer
- 8:15Speaker 1: me something, not money, but an opportunity, you know. Somebody say, hey, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: I don't know, but I sent this to you. I
- 8:25Speaker 1: thought you might be interested in it. Somebody has sent
- 8:27Speaker 1: me a scripture, or somebody will send me something that's favor,
- 8:32Speaker 1: and it always comes at a time when I need
- 8:35Speaker 1: it the most. That's favor, that's pouring out blessings. Now
- 8:40Speaker 1: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You know, I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing. Man.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
- 8:53Speaker 1: been blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility. See,
- 9:00Speaker 1: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
- 9:04Speaker 1: into God, once you tie in and you start doing
- 9:08Speaker 1: the best you can do, and you start asking for
- 9:11Speaker 1: him to make you a better person, to help shape
- 9:15Speaker 1: and mold you into the kind of man or person
- 9:18Speaker 1: that he wants you to be. You be amazed what
- 9:21Speaker 1: God can do with you. Man, if you just invite
- 9:24Speaker 1: me in and allow him to be a part of
- 9:26Speaker 1: your life. I mean, what you got to lose out there?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Come on, if you're sitting in the cell this morning,
- 9:32Speaker 1: why why would you not change? You have a chance
- 9:35Speaker 1: to turn your life around with a relationship with God.
- 9:38Speaker 1: What you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing
- 9:40Speaker 1: it like that? Huh? Really? Come on, man, why would
- 9:45Speaker 1: you do that to yourself? Why would you not allow
- 9:48Speaker 1: God to be a part of your life so you
- 9:50Speaker 1: can get the way He want you to be. God
- 9:52Speaker 1: got some big plans for you. If he didn't, you
- 9:55Speaker 1: wouldn't keep waking up. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the
- 10:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is your man right here,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. I'm gonna introduce you to my comrades, my
- 10:10Speaker 1: bunker buddies. Yeah, Shirley Strawberry caller for real, nephew Tommy
- 10:18Speaker 1: oh Man straight out of the sip Mississippi, Monica. Ladies
- 10:23Speaker 1: and gentlemen, to Steve Harvey Morning Show. What's or anybody's
- 10:27Speaker 1: mind today? Anybody Junior's out today? Anybody got something on
- 10:32Speaker 1: their mind? Want to holler? Asks anything? Yeah? Where's Junior
- 10:36Speaker 1: and Jake? Well, you know, we have two people on
- 10:41Speaker 1: the show that have a you know, a lot of
- 10:44Speaker 1: things going on in their lives, and you know we're
- 10:47Speaker 1: praying for Jay and Junior. Uh. You know, things happened
- 10:54Speaker 1: to us in our life as we get older physically
- 10:57Speaker 1: and then things happened to us in our life that
- 11:00Speaker 1: we never get over mentally, and so we deal it
- 11:03Speaker 1: with both and so hopefully, you know, God willing, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 1: things will work out. You know, we're praying for healing.
- 11:11Speaker 1: We're praying for maturity. You know, we're praying for capability,
- 11:18Speaker 1: We're praying for coping skills that you know, we're praying
- 11:23Speaker 1: for more money out of nowhere. You know, we're just
- 11:26Speaker 1: looking for so many things, you know, we just we
- 11:31Speaker 1: just need so much to happen on this show. The
- 11:34Speaker 1: fact that US folks show up religiously though, it must
- 11:41Speaker 1: mean that we've understood that ain't no money coming out
- 11:45Speaker 1: of nowhere, that you have children and you have to mature,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and uh, it is what it is, and so that's
- 11:55Speaker 1: what we're doing. Yeah, but we have a great show
- 11:59Speaker 1: man and you know in the word the famous words
- 12:02Speaker 1: and show business is the show must go on. How
- 12:07Speaker 1: do you deal with an employee? Because we just had
- 12:10Speaker 1: a meeting off air, which is rare because normally Steve
- 12:14Speaker 1: Ye the air, I was I was still in the meeting.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I'm sing what I try to do as the leader,
- 12:23Speaker 1: just make it sound as though we wasn't talking about it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Off the air. Oh that part of the on air
- 12:29Speaker 1: conversation with I could care less than clear guy. It
- 12:34Speaker 1: ain't about me, you know, once your ass ain't hell,
- 12:39Speaker 1: once you are not here, out of sight, out of
- 12:42Speaker 1: my bag, you will It's not my problem. You know.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You might be a big comedian and all I might
- 12:51Speaker 1: have some catching comebacks, but where we can't hear if
- 12:53Speaker 1: you ain't here. So it has never really bothered me
- 12:59Speaker 1: to talk about a person. Yes, you see, if everybody listening,
- 13:05Speaker 1: we go damn not here, because that's one of the
- 13:10Speaker 1: benefits of when you don't come to work. We gets
- 13:15Speaker 1: to talk about your ass without rebuttal and it's not
- 13:20Speaker 1: talking about you behind your back. It's talking about you
- 13:24Speaker 1: on the air. And I'm perfectly fine with that because
- 13:28Speaker 1: it happens to me when I'm not here, Thank you
- 13:33Speaker 1: very much. At thirty two minutes after the hour, the
- 13:38Speaker 1: nephew who brought this up, gonna run that brank back
- 13:41Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 13:46Speaker 1: all right, time to start your morning off. We'll run
- 13:48Speaker 1: that brank back and the nephew, what's you got, nephew,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I come here this morning bringing you stupid at its best.
- 13:56Speaker 1: But this right here is girl scout cookies that dog

- 15:58Speaker 1: to the job, all right, and I ain't gonna say
- 16:00Speaker 1: nothing about it. You know, that's just our little secret

- 20:18Speaker 1: is quite difficult sometime, but I think I measure it's
- 20:22Speaker 1: cleverly stupid. Surely that's what it is. Okay, cleverly making work.
- 20:30Speaker 1: That's kind of like being ugly in a cute kind
- 20:34Speaker 1: of word. Right that that don't don't apply to me.

- 21:26Speaker 1: Plus and we'll talk about that plus an other entertainment news,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Cardi B responds after a Tasha Ka. The blogger says
- 21:33Speaker 1: she can't afford to pay Cardi B four million dollars
- 21:36Speaker 1: in that big defamation lawsuit. Also another entertainment news, Wendy
- 21:40Speaker 1: Williams Show will be canceled in June, and the Sherry
- 21:45Speaker 1: Shepherd Show will debut in the fall. We'll talk about
- 21:48Speaker 1: all of these stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:50Speaker 1: but right now it is time to ask the clo
- 21:56Speaker 1: Joan and Topeka writes, I'm a grandmother to four beautiful babies,
- 22:00Speaker 1: and I've been keeping them more since my daughter and
- 22:02Speaker 1: her husband are back to normal work schedules. I met
- 22:05Speaker 1: a nice man and he loves our overnight time together.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I am going to have to tell my daughter that
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'm not available all the time. How do I break
- 22:14Speaker 1: the news to her? I'm not available all the time.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I met a man and we've spend a nice together sometime,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and when we out here getting it in, it ain't
- 22:22Speaker 1: gonna be healthy if the kids walk in, because they'll
- 22:24Speaker 1: need therapy. That's what you tell your daughter, cut and dry,
- 22:32Speaker 1: that's it. Yeah, it's gonna put it out there like that.
- 22:36Speaker 1: You know, it's gonna take her breath away when Mama what, yes,
- 22:41Speaker 1: she she gonna clasp her pearls. But it'll be okay,
- 22:45Speaker 1: It'll be okay. And sometimes you just have to tell
- 22:48Speaker 1: the truth because you've spent your life raising your children,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and your grandchildren should be just jewels on your crown.
- 22:55Speaker 1: But that shouldn't have to be a burden to you too.
- 22:57Speaker 1: And me being a grandfather's not a burden for me
- 22:59Speaker 1: at all, because I walk right past all the time.
- 23:03Speaker 1: What yo. Little Noah came to my office the other day.
- 23:09Speaker 1: He's spending the night. He said, Paul, Paul, can you
- 23:12Speaker 1: tuck me in? I see y'all do it tomorrow tomorrow night. Yeah,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I know, But I was watching something and you couldn't
- 23:23Speaker 1: pause it to tuck the base. Well. I eventually did
- 23:26Speaker 1: and took him on up there, but it was we're
- 23:28Speaker 1: under protest. I think he could kind of felt it
- 23:31Speaker 1: because he got tuckedy in real damn quick, his little ass.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I tucked him in there so tight he damn it
- 23:38Speaker 1: couldn't move around in case your square. I didn't actually
- 23:43Speaker 1: tuck him in. He's six, noah six, Yeah, I swaddled
- 23:47Speaker 1: his ass. That's that's how tight. Yeah. I'll stop all
- 23:51Speaker 1: this moving around, but you won't ask pap power tucky
- 23:55Speaker 1: in no damn at all, all right. Moving on to
- 23:58Speaker 1: Evelyn in Maryland. Evelyn says, my boyfriend and I bought
- 24:02Speaker 1: ribs and chicken for a barbecue on Sunday, and his
- 24:05Speaker 1: parents came and bought store bought potato salad. They brought
- 24:09Speaker 1: store bought potato salad. They piled ribs up on their
- 24:12Speaker 1: plates and took food with them. We didn't have any leftovers,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and I got mad and went off on my boyfriend.
- 24:18Speaker 1: He threw twenty dollars at me and laughed. Did I overreact? Yes?
- 24:22Speaker 1: You did? Yeah? You know black people make plates. You
- 24:28Speaker 1: already know that Bain brought number potato salad. Though, man,
- 24:34Speaker 1: that's how the data parents. You threw the barbecue. But
- 24:39Speaker 1: you threw the barbecue. Wait a minute, old on, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 24:44Speaker 1: whoa whoa. I know, mister chateau party throwing in say,
- 24:48Speaker 1: sit up in him worried about somebody taking a plate?
- 24:51Speaker 1: You have them people with hit two face stands at
- 24:53Speaker 1: your house, fondue stations that got cobbler. Though cobbler stations
- 24:59Speaker 1: at your house. You got stations. People can walk around
- 25:02Speaker 1: on the tiki huts, eating all out in the back yard.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Photo booth, he got a photo booth. I'm gonna tell
- 25:10Speaker 1: you what my daddy did. Was my daddy after everybody ate,
- 25:15Speaker 1: my daddy moved all the regular paper plates into the
- 25:19Speaker 1: house and set paper sauces out. Now I make my
- 25:24Speaker 1: paint yeah yeah, nine inch dinner plates. It's hard to
- 25:29Speaker 1: put all that on. The foe inch plate had fall
- 25:32Speaker 1: sitting next to him and everything. People mad as hell
- 25:36Speaker 1: want you to take food home, so they have to
- 25:38Speaker 1: pack it all. Most people, now you know, they made
- 25:41Speaker 1: plates and took it home. You threw the barbecue. You
- 25:43Speaker 1: can't throw the barbecue and expect people to leave stuff
- 25:46Speaker 1: at your house. Yeah, and they bought some strowbought barbecue
- 25:53Speaker 1: with potatoes selling because they don't want to make it. Yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 1: y'all lighten up. I'm gonna be honest with you. Then
- 26:03Speaker 1: potato is selling? Ain't that damn important? Really got to
- 26:08Speaker 1: get these reels right? That's show. Yeah, that's a star
- 26:13Speaker 1: to show, all right. Moving on to Fern in El Paso.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Fern says, my thirtieth birthday is coming up, and my
- 26:23Speaker 1: boyfriend is throwing me a party at a bowling alley.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I invited my ex boyfriend, who happens to date my
- 26:29Speaker 1: boyfriend's ex girlfriend. It's like we did a switch, but
- 26:34Speaker 1: it wasn't planned. My boyfriend says he can't be in
- 26:37Speaker 1: the same room with her. Doesn't mean he still has
- 26:39Speaker 1: feelings for her. Oh right here, you know, y'all young,
- 26:45Speaker 1: y'all thirty unit, you're inviting your ex boyfriend and hating
- 26:50Speaker 1: he's dating his ex girlfriends. Like we switch? What y'all need?
- 26:54Speaker 1: Y'all need? They can't come to the damn part. Yeah,
- 26:59Speaker 1: I don't even know. Why are you inviting this mess
- 27:01Speaker 1: with your other friends? To be tom, I don't remember,
- 27:04Speaker 1: didn't I used to see. Yeah, all this mess. Now
- 27:08Speaker 1: your boyfriend he looking crazy because she over there. You
- 27:12Speaker 1: ought to be looking crazy because he over there. All
- 27:16Speaker 1: y'all slept together. What end may want the party to
- 27:20Speaker 1: be about you? Anyway, it's gonna be why are they heal?
- 27:26Speaker 1: As soon as the fight break out? The number one
- 27:30Speaker 1: question is why are they heal? Uh should be here anyway?
- 27:37Speaker 1: All right, I'd invite them, Okay. Moving on to Mitch
- 27:41Speaker 1: in Monroe. Mitch in Monroe, I'm in my mid forties
- 27:46Speaker 1: and I depend on a woman for everything. It's tearing
- 27:51Speaker 1: me up inside that I need her to pitch in
- 27:53Speaker 1: on the bills and the house. Note. I'm a street
- 27:56Speaker 1: dude by nature, and I need my pride back, and
- 27:59Speaker 1: I want my one to know I'm in charge. My
- 28:02Speaker 1: pastor says it's okay for the woman to lead. You're
- 28:06Speaker 1: a thought. Well, now listen to me. It's okay for
- 28:11Speaker 1: the woman to lead if it's okay with you to
- 28:14Speaker 1: be led. Other than that, I'm not in full agreement. Now,
- 28:19Speaker 1: now listen to me. If you're all in a marriage
- 28:21Speaker 1: and you all have pledge y'allself to each other, sometimes
- 28:25Speaker 1: the woman is doing what she does to keep the
- 28:27Speaker 1: boat afloat. But most women do that anyway. But now,
- 28:30Speaker 1: if it's not okay with you, the question, beckons, beacons, beckons,
- 28:34Speaker 1: whatever the word is, why are you dependent solely on
- 28:39Speaker 1: this woman? You got to get back out here now.
- 28:42Speaker 1: If you have a police record and it is providing
- 28:44Speaker 1: to stopping you from getting jobs, you gotta get here
- 28:46Speaker 1: and get your hustle on in terms of what can
- 28:48Speaker 1: you do in terms of being an entrepreneur that can
- 28:50Speaker 1: make you feel whole again. But you're not gonna feel
- 28:53Speaker 1: hole in this role that you're playing. I don't care
- 28:56Speaker 1: what your past to say. So you got to do
- 28:58Speaker 1: something to change what makes you feel like you're making
- 29:02Speaker 1: a major contribution in the relationship. And I admire you
- 29:05Speaker 1: for feeling this way, young brothers. All right, cello, thank you.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour entertainment news.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:17Speaker 1: All right, So, Steve Harvey, our very own fearless leader,
- 29:22Speaker 1: is on the cover of the latest issue of Paper magazine,
- 29:25Speaker 1: paying homage to the late fashion visionary Andre Leon Tally. Steve,
- 29:30Speaker 1: you were rocking a two piece suit by Do your Men,
- 29:33Speaker 1: Bright red cape which that was my favorite by Valenciaga couture,
- 29:37Speaker 1: a custom altomotive shoes, a custom altomotive shoes, and sunglasses
- 29:41Speaker 1: by Eve Saint Laurent. While puffing on your favorite cigar.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You're styled by your stylist, Ellie Caramo, and so Steve,
- 29:50Speaker 1: you gotta tell us about the different looks. We love
- 29:52Speaker 1: the blue, we love the red, we love the black tuxedo,
- 29:55Speaker 1: the gloves all of black. A cap on that look
- 29:57Speaker 1: like Danny look like a cap on that hit him.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Did y'all notice it? I said this before the fact
- 30:06Speaker 1: that my three daughters are all Deltas and every nine
- 30:09Speaker 1: and then I pay homage to my sisters the Deltas.
- 30:12Speaker 1: It ain't my fault that y'all got the same color
- 30:16Speaker 1: as the girls. I don't know why I keep getting
- 30:19Speaker 1: thrown into this, but that ain't none of my fault.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan did the interview. He interviewed you. That's
- 30:29Speaker 1: so cool. Oh you got to read the interview. You
- 30:33Speaker 1: go all the way to the end. Okay, all right,
- 30:37Speaker 1: because I flipped the scribble. But I want to say
- 30:40Speaker 1: this about this cover. This is all grace. I had
- 30:46Speaker 1: no plan, I had no hand in this. I just
- 30:51Speaker 1: got a phone call and it asked what I do it.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I didn't even understand the magnitude of the paper magazin Scene.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I didn't know that it was a cultural iconic magazine.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I didn't know, So for me to try to take
- 31:07Speaker 1: any credit for this would be wrong. This was They
- 31:12Speaker 1: called Ellie Caramo, my stylist, and asked him could they
- 31:16Speaker 1: do it. When he called me, this kid was almost
- 31:19Speaker 1: in tears because it was a great moment for him.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Because each young guy, his whole life has been styled
- 31:27Speaker 1: and fashion. I just happened to be benefiting from this
- 31:31Speaker 1: guy's incredible guilt. So you know, this being on the
- 31:35Speaker 1: cover of paper, it isn't It really wasn't Steve Harvey's doing.
- 31:40Speaker 1: You know, I appreciate God for making me, you know,
- 31:43Speaker 1: the type of notoriety. But this kid is really behind
- 31:48Speaker 1: this man and this whole resurrection and Marjorie. And that's
- 31:52Speaker 1: why I had to give it to because you know,
- 31:54Speaker 1: I stand next to Marjorie and all these pictures. This
- 31:58Speaker 1: girl doesn't have a stylist, doesn't have a personal shopper, nothing.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Marjorie Harvey styles herself. She's a bad ground and I
- 32:13Speaker 1: just didn't want to be the old ass man standing
- 32:16Speaker 1: next to this bad ship. Yeah you know, I'm just
- 32:21Speaker 1: going down. Man, You're looking older and older and older,
- 32:26Speaker 1: and like she's a big part of that, you know,
- 32:28Speaker 1: because I just really this whole thing, man, was like
- 32:32Speaker 1: it came out of nowhere. The one thing that we
- 32:34Speaker 1: decided and I asked him not to do, was because
- 32:38Speaker 1: photo shoots are my least favorite thing to do, right,
- 32:42Speaker 1: So I said, look, man, if you can capture who
- 32:45Speaker 1: I really am, I've spent my whole life as a
- 32:49Speaker 1: cool person, and I'm really not allowed to be cool
- 32:52Speaker 1: on TV, you know. And I said, I don't. I
- 32:56Speaker 1: don't want to take pictures with that TV smile and
- 33:00Speaker 1: all like this here. I don't want to not smoke
- 33:03Speaker 1: if I feel like smoking, I don't want to do
- 33:05Speaker 1: this pose, and I don't want to just if you
- 33:08Speaker 1: can capture me in my element of who I really am,
- 33:11Speaker 1: because I'm a jorying the time, I'm not smiling. And
- 33:15Speaker 1: so a big part of the article was I told them,
- 33:20Speaker 1: I don't want you to interview the TV star, the
- 33:23Speaker 1: guy that you see out front. I want you to
- 33:26Speaker 1: talk and meet the person. But by the grace of God.
- 33:30Speaker 1: That pushes the main reason I'm here, other than the
- 33:33Speaker 1: grace of God. I want you to meet to do
- 33:34Speaker 1: behind it, and that dude had to have a lot
- 33:36Speaker 1: of grit fucking coolness to get him. And so that's
- 33:39Speaker 1: what they did. And yeah, yeah, man, Michael B. Jordan
- 33:47Speaker 1: interviewed me and it was interesting. Yeah, And Laurie's gonna
- 33:52Speaker 1: be in the same issue. Her part comes out tomorrow.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Now Lord, have this girl took after her mama? She
- 34:04Speaker 1: just little Marjorie on steroids? Does Michael B. Jordan interview her?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Laurie as well? I don't know. I don't know, but
- 34:16Speaker 1: I interviewed him at the end. I don't know him,
- 34:23Speaker 1: but I feel like I do. You know, man, he's
- 34:27Speaker 1: actually a cool guy. You know, we text, he'll call
- 34:31Speaker 1: me for advice or a situation. He in hell asked me, oge,
- 34:35Speaker 1: how you handle list? You know, we talked like that.
- 34:38Speaker 1: He's a good guy. Um, it's hard to predict a relationship,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you know. Look, you can pull for somebody, but nobody
- 34:48Speaker 1: really knows what's going on. But they seem happy, you know,
- 34:52Speaker 1: they seem to be really glad around each other, you know,
- 34:57Speaker 1: And so I'm I'm pulling for him, but you know,
- 35:00Speaker 1: it's it's hard because he's famous. M m. Yeah, she
- 35:06Speaker 1: has social media fame and it's increasing with every time
- 35:11Speaker 1: she does a deal with a burberryal or somebody like that.
- 35:15Speaker 1: So it's hard for young people to make it these days. Man,
- 35:19Speaker 1: it really really is. So well, we're pulling for him,
- 35:22Speaker 1: we are, yeah, and we can't wait to read the article.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Uh you and Michael B. Steve, all right, so another
- 35:30Speaker 1: entertainment news Remember, plea, go click it as many times
- 35:34Speaker 1: as y'all can, paper dot com. Just click it, click
- 35:39Speaker 1: it and read the article to the end, right to
- 35:43Speaker 1: the very end of thing. All right, all right, So
- 35:47Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of a Steve Harvey Morning
- 35:49Speaker 1: Show at twenty minutes after right after this you're listening show.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Georgia jury has found the three racist men who murdered
- 35:59Speaker 1: a odd Arebury guilty. They were found guilty of federal
- 36:03Speaker 1: hate crime charges. In that case, the jury needed just
- 36:07Speaker 1: four hours to reach the verdict on the charges, which
- 36:09Speaker 1: stated that the killers committed the crime purely because of
- 36:13Speaker 1: Abury's race. That means purely because he was black. Of course,
- 36:16Speaker 1: prosecutors pointed to dozens of racist text messages and social
- 36:21Speaker 1: media posts to prove their case. All three had been
- 36:24Speaker 1: convicted of murder, which Travis McMichael and his father, Gregory McMichael,
- 36:29Speaker 1: were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Their neighbor, William Roddy Bryant, was sentenced to life in
- 36:36Speaker 1: prison without the possibility of parole for his role in
- 36:39Speaker 1: the killing. They all have said they planned to appeal
- 36:42Speaker 1: those convictions. Look, they are so every keep slamming that
- 36:51Speaker 1: doing your face. Yeah, you murdered this kid for no reason, Yes,
- 36:57Speaker 1: other than he was black. That's right. If this was
- 37:00Speaker 1: a white kid that went into a building that was
- 37:04Speaker 1: under construction and looked around and didn't take anything, and
- 37:08Speaker 1: you have him on footage several times, and then one
- 37:11Speaker 1: day he's jogging through your neighborhood around the same place
- 37:15Speaker 1: as the house, he wouldn't have got ran down by
- 37:18Speaker 1: these three races and shot and kill. It's just no way.
- 37:26Speaker 1: It doesn't happen to them. It only happens to us,
- 37:31Speaker 1: over and over and over. Why don't nobody see that?
- 37:36Speaker 1: You know, at first we were begging them to pay
- 37:39Speaker 1: attention to what was happening to us. Then we thought Wow.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Since some social media and camera phones now they can
- 37:45Speaker 1: see it. Okay, so now it's rather obvious now, right.
- 37:49Speaker 1: They watched them kill George Floyd. They watched these people
- 37:53Speaker 1: kill lamartin Aubrey. The videos that are missing, though, and
- 37:58Speaker 1: I'm glad they are missing. But the videos that are
- 38:01Speaker 1: missing are the white kids that are being killed by
- 38:06Speaker 1: vigilante groups and the white kids that are being killed
- 38:10Speaker 1: by the police. And the reason they're missing is because
- 38:14Speaker 1: they don't exist. And the reason they don't exist is
- 38:17Speaker 1: because it doesn't happen to them. It just happens to
- 38:20Speaker 1: black people and people of color. Because, believe me, if
- 38:25Speaker 1: Fox could show you that it was equal, they would,
- 38:29Speaker 1: but they can't because it ain't. Yesterday, runners honored amad Are.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Everybody ran two point two three miles yesterday, which is
- 38:39Speaker 1: one of the day that he was killed. Everybody, all
- 38:42Speaker 1: runners ran two points through three miles, which is kind
- 38:44Speaker 1: of cool. I'm gonna have to find another way. I'm
- 38:46Speaker 1: gonna honoring on my radio show because I ain't gonna
- 38:49Speaker 1: be able to make that. You can't now, I can't
- 38:52Speaker 1: run two point three two three all right? Moving on,
- 38:56Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour from
- 38:58Speaker 1: the talk, it will be our girl, Cheryl Underwood. We'll
- 39:01Speaker 1: talk to her right after this. You're listening show, everybody,

- 40:03Speaker 1: You know, in the first annual, Omega Sci five was
- 40:07Speaker 1: the top fraternity and Simon Gamma Row was the top sorority,
- 40:10Speaker 1: and I think Southern was the top HBCU. And we're
- 40:15Speaker 1: trying to give scholarship money and my foundation the pack
- 40:18Speaker 1: rep Foundation for Education. You say, what was the top
- 40:21Speaker 1: fraternity Omega SI five. Where it's where is he taking
- 40:27Speaker 1: this right? Heretory? Well, just to the top, that's all.
- 40:29Speaker 1: She didn't mention nobody else. So well, well, every every
- 40:34Speaker 1: Divine nine organization will get some type of scholarship money.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But the top organization was Omega Sci five. So I
- 40:42Speaker 1: gotta say it like that, Tommy, But that doesn't mean
- 40:45Speaker 1: that at the second annual HBCU Divine nine two week
- 40:49Speaker 1: Challenge that Kappa Okay, okay, Tommy, you hear what I'm saying.
- 40:55Speaker 1: We didn't have to day evil. They will. Let me
- 40:59Speaker 1: ask you this, Cheryl, Yes, this is a great I
- 41:04Speaker 1: love this. How did you how did this come about

- 41:09Speaker 1: taking metamucil for years because I felt sluggish, I felt
- 41:13Speaker 1: weighed down, and I wanted to be regular. And a

- 45:18Speaker 1: I think it's something else on your mind when you
- 45:20Speaker 1: come over here praying for my wife. I ain't stupid, brother,
- 45:23Speaker 1: kind of Hold it, brother, this is brody, this is well.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Your wife was on the second shot, then lift iver
- 45:33Speaker 1: actually to come by, rever. Ain't man requested that I

- 46:37Speaker 1: wrong brother nine. Okay. Now, first of all, you're not
- 46:41Speaker 1: gonna disrespect me and curse me out. Okay, that's not
- 46:46Speaker 1: even the way brothers should be talking to brother. Second

- 47:21Speaker 1: I can appreciate that. Okay, I have a wife, and
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'll be upset if somebody's coming back to my wife.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Won't you won't show out what your wife. You stand
- 47:30Speaker 1: my down with my wife. I do you know what
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'm saying now, I came about your house. Maybe I
- 47:36Speaker 1: do you come out your house and how let your wife?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Are you welcome to? But maybe come come and come late?
- 47:42Speaker 1: Something over their own? Huh go now trying to do
- 47:46Speaker 1: with my holder? Holy one man, Holy one man, I
- 47:49Speaker 1: told you before being disrespected. Now that was a very
- 47:54Speaker 1: giddyot of stapment for you to make. Okay, that's what's
- 47:58Speaker 1: gonna happen. If i can't your black trip my house again,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna play this man, and then I'm getting on
- 48:02Speaker 1: the phone with you, you your pastors any more than
- 48:05Speaker 1: because if anybody come by my house again and I
- 48:08Speaker 1: ain't there, I'm kicking your black. Got some promise, you know.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Just that's it. Look here, brother, if that's gonna be
- 48:17Speaker 1: any that's whooping going on, I'm gonna be kicking your
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna lay my hands on you and I'm gonna
- 48:23Speaker 1: give you a good sanctified to whooping. And then I'm
- 48:27Speaker 1: gonna pray for you. I'm gonna pray to heal you.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Just foot. I'm gonna put up your okay, because I've
- 48:33Speaker 1: had it with you, you know, and I only went
- 48:35Speaker 1: by it to just visit your wife because I was
- 48:37Speaker 1: asked to go visit your wife. Now that was a problem.
- 48:40Speaker 1: You should have caused a pastor. Okay, but you're not
- 48:42Speaker 1: gonna disrespect me. My wife's the church on the phone. Life.
- 48:45Speaker 1: You want to do somebody, you can meet me any place. Well,
- 48:49Speaker 1: I've been man, you know, as a matter of fact,
- 48:51Speaker 1: I can go anywhere I want it in this town.
- 48:53Speaker 1: If I be at your house talking to your wife,
- 48:55Speaker 1: if the past asked me to go, I'm gonna be there. Okay.
- 48:58Speaker 1: How you you know? You just you know. It's you're
- 49:01Speaker 1: like a stupid brother. Okay, you need to come to church, Tommy,
- 49:06Speaker 1: need want to sell you the one. You need to
- 49:08Speaker 1: come to church more often. That's the problem. You don't
- 49:10Speaker 1: come to church more often. If you come to church
- 49:12Speaker 1: more off, you wouldn't be talking to me like that.
- 49:15Speaker 1: You wouldn't be worried about me and your wife because
- 49:17Speaker 1: it must be something wrong in your house. You be
- 49:20Speaker 1: worried by me fooling with your wife. Okay, so you
- 49:23Speaker 1: need to check. Hut, Okay, you need to check. How
- 49:26Speaker 1: about that? Why don't you do that? Why don't you
- 49:28Speaker 1: why don't you just check hup? Okay, Tommy say you're
- 49:31Speaker 1: the one that's cheating with my wife. That's all I know?

- 53:48Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm ashamed to write this letter, but
- 53:51Speaker 1: here goes nothing. I'm in my late forties and I'm
- 53:54Speaker 1: married to a wonderful man that can't satisfy all of
- 53:58Speaker 1: my needs. He's a great fall and he's a great
- 54:01Speaker 1: financial provider. I have the house, car, clothes, jewelry, and
- 54:05Speaker 1: everything else. In addition to all of that, I have
- 54:09Speaker 1: a great group of friends and my husband never complains
- 54:12Speaker 1: when I want to have a girl's night out or
- 54:14Speaker 1: girl on a vacation with my girls. He doesn't even
- 54:17Speaker 1: mind that my best friend is a guy and he's
- 54:20Speaker 1: been in my life since I was fifteen years old,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and he picks up the slack in the one area
- 54:25Speaker 1: that my husband falls short, the bedroom. We've been having
- 54:30Speaker 1: sex for over twenty five years. He was my first
- 54:34Speaker 1: and the best I've ever had so far. I was
- 54:37Speaker 1: so in love with him in my early twenties, but
- 54:40Speaker 1: he never chose me as his girlfriend. We've kept our
- 54:43Speaker 1: secret affair going for years. He told me that he's
- 54:46Speaker 1: going to propose to a special girl soon and he
- 54:49Speaker 1: wants me to meet her. It was like he knocked
- 54:52Speaker 1: the wind out of me and my knees crumbled. I
- 54:56Speaker 1: literally fell right in front of him. I knew of
- 54:59Speaker 1: a girl he dated, but I didn't care because he'd
- 55:02Speaker 1: always come and make love to me whenever I needed him.
- 55:06Speaker 1: We kissed and caressed each other and he always took
- 55:09Speaker 1: his time with it like we were a couple. Then
- 55:12Speaker 1: we'd get dressed and go hang out like we were
- 55:15Speaker 1: best friends. It was sneaky and fun, and it helped
- 55:18Speaker 1: me get through years of terrible sex with my husband.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Now he's going to get married and the dynamic will change.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I've had fantasies of him begging me to leave my
- 55:29Speaker 1: husband for him, but now it is very clear that
- 55:32Speaker 1: he's overlooked me again. I want to bake. I want
- 55:35Speaker 1: to break free. But how do I Are you saying
- 55:40Speaker 1: you want to break free of your marriage or you
- 55:42Speaker 1: want to break free of him? You want to break
- 55:44Speaker 1: free of him that hold he has on you? All right, Well,
- 55:49Speaker 1: this is a question you already know the answer to,
- 55:52Speaker 1: and of course you know that you gotta get yourself together.
- 55:55Speaker 1: You got to get some sort of self control here
- 55:57Speaker 1: and stop sleeping with your friend. Close that chapter, walk away,
- 56:02Speaker 1: and never look back. So the question is what do
- 56:05Speaker 1: you want from Steven me? I mean, because I hear
- 56:08Speaker 1: no remorse in your letter. I hear nothing about you
- 56:11Speaker 1: love or care for your husband. I mean, you said
- 56:13Speaker 1: earlier that he was a wonderful man. All I hear
- 56:16Speaker 1: is you pining over your soon to be ex boyfriend
- 56:20Speaker 1: slash side piece. Well, he's out. Now he's out. The
- 56:25Speaker 1: problem for you is that you guys have been going
- 56:27Speaker 1: at it for twenty five years, and it's not so
- 56:30Speaker 1: easy for you to just pick up and leave. You
- 56:33Speaker 1: have emotions, you have strong feelings invested in. This doesn't
- 56:37Speaker 1: sound like he does. Though you said that he dropped
- 56:40Speaker 1: you again in the letter. It sounds like it was
- 56:43Speaker 1: just some easy sex for him with you. It was there,
- 56:47Speaker 1: it was available, so he did it. I mean, now
- 56:50Speaker 1: he's moving on with someone he actually cares about. So
- 56:54Speaker 1: I'm asking you please let him do that, because it
- 56:57Speaker 1: sounds like you're a little hesitant here to let him,
- 57:00Speaker 1: you know, get out of your gras. So let him
- 57:04Speaker 1: go without any interference from you. It's over and you
- 57:07Speaker 1: need to concentrate on your own house. You have a
- 57:10Speaker 1: whole husband that you've been cheating on for the longest.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Try to salvage what you what you can, if you can,
- 57:18Speaker 1: if he doesn't know about the affair, and if that's
- 57:21Speaker 1: not what you want, leave and let your husband be free.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I mean, that's all that's all I've got for you.
- 57:27Speaker 1: All right, That's it, Steve, Wow, this letter is gonna
- 57:31Speaker 1: be fun. This is gonna be fun. Um, how much
- 57:37Speaker 1: time do I have right now? Because I want to
- 57:39Speaker 1: do this all at one, So I got a couple
- 57:43Speaker 1: of minutes here, So let me set up what I'm
- 57:46Speaker 1: going to do when we come back. First of all,
- 57:51Speaker 1: whatever a person writes that I'm ashamed to write this letter,
- 57:54Speaker 1: but here goes nothing. That's because they know this letter
- 57:57Speaker 1: ain'tthing to be about nothing, and she did not disappointing.
- 58:02Speaker 1: This woman is in her late forties. Now get this
- 58:05Speaker 1: what married to a wonderful man? How many women would
- 58:10Speaker 1: love to say that that can't satisfy all of my needs? Okay,
- 58:17Speaker 1: he's a great father, he's a great financial provanda provider.
- 58:22Speaker 1: I have the house, car, clothes, jewelry, and everything else.
- 58:26Speaker 1: In addition to all that, I got a great group
- 58:28Speaker 1: of friends. And my husband never complains that I want
- 58:31Speaker 1: to have a girl's night on a gone vacation with
- 58:33Speaker 1: my girls. He doesn't even mind that my best friend
- 58:37Speaker 1: is a guy, and he's been in my life since
- 58:40Speaker 1: I was fifteen years old. Let me stop right now.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Your husband ain't that stupid. Please understand, he don't mind
- 58:48Speaker 1: you going on vacation. He don't mind that's your best friend.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Don't think that men are that stupid lady, because sometimes
- 58:59Speaker 1: even though you all are smarter than we are, sometimes
- 59:02Speaker 1: we know some stuff, but we know how to keep
- 59:05Speaker 1: it close to the vest, because I ain't no need
- 59:09Speaker 1: to exposing you and run the risk of exposing me.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So I don't think your husband is as naive and
- 59:16Speaker 1: as dumb as you think. Satisfying you might not have
- 59:20Speaker 1: to be a priority, especially if you're doing something somewhere else.
- 59:25Speaker 1: But then if he is, you bought this all upon yourself.
- 59:30Speaker 1: I know I bought it on myself. I owe no
- 59:34Speaker 1: blame to no one else. And now I realize I
- 59:38Speaker 1: can't get over you. Frankie Beverly and Maids my favorite
- 59:45Speaker 1: maid sung. When I come back, I'm gonna really have
- 59:49Speaker 1: to tell you something. Thank you, all right? He at
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, Today's Strawberry Letters, subject
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: best friends and lovers. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject best friends and lovers. Yeah,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: this letter right here, This woman in her late forties
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: has a wonderful husband, does everything a man is supposed
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: to do, provides great father, great husband provider. She's got claws, clothes, jewelry,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: she got everything she had won, and she even got
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: a great group of friends. And she goes down to
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: her husband, don't mind she going on vacation with her girlfriends,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: And he really don't mind that her best friend is
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: a guy, and she's been sleeping with this guy since
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: they were fifteen, twenty five years they've been sleeping together.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: That's in the letter. That's a fact. Now your husband
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: ain't giving it to you in the bedroom like he's
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: this boy that's your best friend. He's your first and
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: best that you've ever had so as far, so far,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: as you said, you've been in love with him in
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: your early twenties. But he never chose me as his girlfrid. Okay,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: this is very important. Ever, he never chose me as
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: his Girlfred. We've kept our secret of fair going for years.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: He told me that he's going to propose to a
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: special girl soon and he wants me to meet her.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: It was like he knocked the wind out of me,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: and my knees crumbled. I literally fell right in front
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: of him. Look, I knew other girls he dated, but
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I didn't care because it has always come and make
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: love to me whenever I needed him. We kissed and
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: caressed each other. He always took a time with it,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: like we wore a couple. Then we get dressing, go
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: hang out like we were best friends. It was sneaky
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: and fun. Okay, listen, remember that line. It was sneaky
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and fun, and it helped me to get through years
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: of terrible sect with my husband. Now he's going to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: get married, get married in the dynamical change. I've had
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: fantasies of him begging me to leave my husband for him,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: but now it's very clear that he's overlooked me again.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I want to break free, But how do I surely
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: ask the best question, surely said? Are you trying to
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: break fee of him or your husband? Because your fantasy
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: is for one day him to come and beg you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: to leave your husband, which you would do. But you've
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: been sleeping with this man behind your husband's back for
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: all these times, and your knees buckled and you failed.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: When he told you he was gonna marry a special girl,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: well that was shocking to you. He's never chosen you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: even as his girlfriend before. You ain't even been girlfriend.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Why the hell are you hanging home for wife. I'm confused.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Then you said he's overlooked me again in again, That's
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: been it from always. I want to break free? But
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: how well? Here we go. I have written seven points
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: that I need for you to soak into your head
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: to help you break free. Because you're free, You're not in.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: You caught up on your own and you bought this
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: on yourself. So how do you break free? Let's come
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to seven points of contention. These things you need to
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: get in your head. Number one, you easy, you, easy, you,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: right down you easy, You're right there, easy, available you
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: just that you tag you and I feel like doing something?
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Won't come. Do you ready for the next one? You
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: ain't the one you need to get it. I got
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: seven things, lady, that you need to get through your head.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: You ain't the one. You ain't ever been the one.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: You've always been the other one. You have never been
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: the one. What is your shock that he don't want
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: you as a wife? You're ready for Number three? Yes,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: bring it. You're not wifey material. I'm just telling you
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: the truth, and you've proven it by the way you
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: acting as a wife. Yeah, you've been cheating on your
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: man for twenty five years horrible? This fun, sneaky fun
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: you've been having. You're not wifey material. You've given us
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: a letter full of proof, but you want this man
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: who know that to make you his wife. How you
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: ready for number four? Bring ahead, let's go. Are you
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: ready for number four? Ready? Yes? I can have you
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: even when you get married. Just dude, he can have
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you even when you getting married. So why he got
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: to marry you? Are you on? You're ready for number five?
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: I'm ready? Let's go, let's do it. Huh yes? Yes? Ready?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: You let me use you? Why would I choose you?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: One boy? I said, you let me use you? Why
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: would I choose you? That's number five? You need to
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: get these in your head. You you won't number six? Yes?
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: How you gonna be first when clearly you love second?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: You met a minute? You gonna be first when clearly

- 1:06:49Speaker 1: his son Brownie before he ends his career. He said,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: my last year will be played with my son. James say,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: what ever Brownie is, that's where I will be, all right.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I will do whatever it to us to play with
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: my son for one year. It's not about the money
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: at that point. Brownie isn't eligible to be drafted until
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. Lebron gonna only be thirty nine years old,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: so it's totally possible. I don't doubt nothing, he said,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: because he hadn't done everything else. He said, he's gonna
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: basketball court. That was a bad boy and I love
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: seeing him at Jordan Hoog at the All Star Game. Yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: that was a great moment. Caused them two goats man, nice, nice,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: legends all right, Hideo Soccer News. One of the country's
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: biggest young soccer stars made her US National Women's Soccer

- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the nineteen year old daughter of the NBA Hall of
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Fame with Dennis Rodman, was subbed into the game in
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: the second half. Trinity Rodman, who recently signed a four year,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: one point one million dollar contract with the Washington Spirit,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: is the highest paid player in national women's soccer wold yes,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: when crying his ass man this to I'll be damn
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: right here on. We all know that this board tyreek
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Hill is just crazy with foot speed. Right, he's a
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: bad boy. Can't seem cheat? Yeah, yeah, Now he didn't
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: decided on He didn't called out you same boat, saying
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: I think I can beat you same boat running and
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: you you saint safe. When I get through beating here,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I'll sign your clicks for you. That's how we're gonna
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: do this, he said. So who you got you got Tyreeka,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: you got your same boat? Yes see you want to
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: right to Ruth, You sain't been quick running for three years.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Ain't practicing no more. Now you want to call out
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: of you say that ain't the way this goal nine five,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: nine five. Get your ass on the track. We're gonna
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: hit the clock. You beat this nine five till you
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: be just nine five. Pardoners what we're talking about? Now
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you want to mess with you saying how old is you?
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Saying boat? Now you say boat as thirty five? Nobody
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: is as fast as thirty five as they was when
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: they twenty five. Danny Human Living, How old is Tyreek Hill?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Watch this? When it's how old is Tyreek Hill of
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs. They ain't even answer that because
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: they don't know who his ass is. So now, no Tyreek.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: We'll be Morning show at the top of the hour.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: So Steven, as we all know, Dave Chappelle is kicking
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: off his Netflix comedy special series Home Team, and first
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: up is our good friend Earthquake. Earthquake will have his
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: special it's called Earthquake Legendary, And yesterday Chris Rock announced
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: he is back on the road for the first time
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: in five years. The Ego Death World Tour. Ego Death
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: World Tour kicks off in April on April second in
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Kevin Hart wee all know
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: is back on the road as well, so you and
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Tommy of course comedians. How important is stand up touring
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and the comedy specials, et cetera. How important is all
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: of that touring stand up special You got to go?
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: You got are you doing these specials? You got to
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: go put the time in and to make to perfect
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: what you're trying to do to me. I truly believe
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: that when you're getting ready to get over and put
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: and if you to turn these camerason, you got to
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: be ready. Rock Is always has always been ready when
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: they turn that camera on for him. I've never seen
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: him not ready. Yeah, the road work is to necessary.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: If I decided to come back and do a special,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I need about eight months of work really to prepare. Yeah,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I would go to some places where I could work
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: it out, you know, and well, you know, man like,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: because of my jobs on television, my timing is always
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: still pretty sharp. I'm still quick quitted, you know. I
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: gotta be quick on the radio. I gotta be quick
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: on all my Family Feud, the Judge Show. But stand
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: up is a different animal because there's no exchange with
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: other people when you're on that stage. You're out there
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: by yourself. So like you know, I can crack on
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: somebody on Family for you to make a comment on
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Judge Show. That's different from stand up Dog. That's different
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: from standing there for an hour twenty just you doing
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: all the talking. Your timing and your bits have to
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: have a cadence and a rhythm to them, and you
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: gotta get that down pat and you gotta get a
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: set developed that you're comfortable with so you know where
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: you're going next, so you don't have those blind moments
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: on stage where you're human and han and um you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: know all this. Hell, So I need about eight months
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: of working once a week on stage, all right, but
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I would have to be out there once a week somewhere.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Do you miss about it? I miss the live audience
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: part of it. You don't miss the lead up though.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I do not miss the getting ready, the four hours
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: before show is it's just a sick feeling to me.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: It's very very uncomfortable, man. It's very uncomfortable feeling. The
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: getting dressed, the walking down the corridor, the standing backstage,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: the pacing, waiting to get announced. And then when they
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: announce you, man, your heart rate is at a level
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: does just and then you walk out here. Man, I
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: get that you're nervous. I get that, But what makes
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you so nervous? What are you so nervous about? Well,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: because I have a lot of expectations for myself and
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: then I have an ultimate respect for the audience. These
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: people pay their money to see me. These people really
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: do want to be entertained. They spending a lot of money, man.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: They gotta get babysitters, you know, They park and they
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: out here souvenirs to drink, you know, man, And they paid,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: hoping and believing that I would deliver. People then flew
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: from other places, drove up from other places to come see.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: It's hard, man, especially when you're two in theater, because
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: it's one night, one show. So when people come to
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: see you for one night, one show, they got to
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: cancel stuff, They gotta move stuff around. See, when you
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: at a comedy club, you have a slight advantage because
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: you got three nights, two three shows to choose from,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: and then you can probably make one of thold. When
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: you come to them theaters, it's one night, one show,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: that's it. They've got to make and so people got
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: to move stuff around to come see you. That's that's
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: big weight. Okay, alright, well yeah Kmedy corner. That was right. Well,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: at about twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: So have you you you you you have you joined
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: the Mile High Club. Well, if you're interested. Now, if
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: you're interested, there's a brand new airline that makes it
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: easier than ever. This airline is called love Cloud. Don't
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: you love that name, love Cloud, and it specializes in
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: offering couples the opportunity for some sky high intimacy. Now,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: for only nine hundred and ninety five dollars, you get
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: a forty five minute trip on a private plane which
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: includes a red satin bed that is totally private and
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: separate from the pilot. You also get assigned Mile High
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Club membership card to commemorate the occasion. Now, if you
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: don't want to have sex to thirty thousand feet, you're
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: gonna opt to have a romantic three course meal or
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: get married on the plane. So those are for how
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: long forty five minutes. I ain't even undressed yet, but

- 1:15:39Speaker 1: down the runway. You need to be doing something towards
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: this forty five as the plane is going. When we
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: get up to thirty, we got to start landing. Make
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: it worth your money? All right? I think that's a
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: slick idea that's worth it, man, you know what I mean?
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: People gonna pay the nine forty five just to be
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: flexing and fronting on Instagram like they got going. All yeah,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: the love Cloud is the name of the plane. All right,

- 1:16:33Speaker 1: take that. Really, this is a wealth I might get
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: away with that cart. Oh no no, no, no, see
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: this bank. You gotta have a gun. Once you got
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: that gun you got no no, no, no, you have
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: them do another kind of time now, okay, okay, no no,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: I'm not robbing no bank though, I still is car.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I just stole it. Hey, let's go to the go
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: to the mix. Would you rather yes, yes, all right?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Would you rather have it rain every day? Rain every day?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Or snow every day? We got a problem. Now, you
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: got a problem. If it's snow every day, your ass

- 1:17:45Speaker 1: rather either way. That's a rough one because a lot
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: of people are gonna be in trouble either way. That's
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: not gonna be good either way. Rain, No, snow every
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: day for how long? Surely every day? Every day? Help? No,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: that can't happen, would you all? We're all gonna die
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: either way. All of us are going to die either
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: way that you want to get this no arc version
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of it, or you want to freeze your ass to death?

- 1:19:40Speaker 1: good day. It's been a fun day. Thank you to
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Cheryl Underwood for stopping by. And it's been fun. I've
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: enjoyed myself. Yeah, yeah, you're ready step to take us out? Yeah.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I thinking of a couple of things. Huh. I've been
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: watching a lot of people who are you know, on
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: the news and stuff like this, um who seemed that
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: that that are in such despair, you know, And I've listened.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I was watching somebody online the other day talking about
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: how hopeless their life seemed to them. I want to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: offer people something to think about. Be very very conscious
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: of the word hopeless, you know, be very very conscious
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: of feeling hopeless, because it can happen if you're not careful.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: And I've had to end my life on several times.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: Become very acutely aware of this trick that the devil uses.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: And if the devil can get you to feel like
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: it's hopeless. Oh man, he's got you. He's got you
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: right where he wants you. I remember several times, man,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: when I was homeless, Man, when I just didn't see
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: this career going the way I wanted it to go.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: I was just in some dog places. Man. You know, look, man,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: when you don't have a house to go to at
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: the end of the day, it's it's it's a it's
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: a it's a it's a debilitating thought repeatedly to go wild,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: to not be able to say I'm going home, because
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: you know, I mean, no matter how rough a day
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: you have, if you have the comfort to say, man,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: well skip all this, I'm going home, and you can
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: turn that key and get into this place that you
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: stay as, no matter what it looks like or how
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: small or how big, it's your home. If you can
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: turn that key and go in there and shut that
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: door and lock out them troubles for a minute, it
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: gives you a moment to regroup yourself. So have not
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: having them. The comfort of saying I'm going home was
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: rough on me at times, and it was times where
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: the devil would get into my mind and say, man,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: it ain't no way out of this. You're just homeless.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: You're not getting these gigs. Ain't nobody calling you? All is?
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: You want to be on TV, you want to be
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: a star, Steve, this is hopeless. I had to catch
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: myself because hope. It's a very important thing to cling
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: on too, because sometimes you only have hope to cling
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: on to, and you've got to keep hope alive. I
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: remember when Jesse Jackson used to say it, keep hope alive,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: keep hope alive. People don't know how really important that is.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: To keep hope alive, not faith, not believe, not being
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: factual that I know this is gonna happen. But if
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you can just say the mere words, man, I hope
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I be okay. Man, I hope this workout. I hope
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: God hear me. I hope I get a break. I
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: hope this don't last too much longer. Just say hope.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Just say it. I'm telling you, man, clinging on to
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: that word hope. Hope is the beginning of faith, because,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: like I say all the time, sometimes I used to
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: hope I gotta bite for Christmas. I used to hope
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I would get a toy. I used to hope you
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: know that I graduated. I hope I get a job
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: one day. Well, eventually, as I got older, all that
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: hoping I used to do, eventually I learned how wow,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: this is really faith. Faith is a belief in things
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: that you cannot see. But it begins with hope, because
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: when you're young, it's just hope. I hope Santa Claus
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: bring me this. I hope I get a bike. Man,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I hope I get that doll house. I hope I
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: get that oven this year. I hope. I hope he
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: asked me out. I hope she say yes. I hope
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: she will be my Valentine. I used to hope for
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: so many things, man, But as I got older, I
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: understood that that hope was just the pure essays. There's
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: a scripture, man, I wish I could think of it
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: right now. Faith is the substance of things hope for.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: That's it, and the evidence of things not seen. Faith
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it's the substance of things hope for. That's why you
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: gotta keep saying I hope, even if you ain't strong
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: enough to believe. I hope. It's the substance of faith.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Because faith is the substance of things hope for. You
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: can't have faith without first hoping. I hope this has happened. Well.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Faith is a belief in things that you cannot see.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: So what are you hoping that? What are you things
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: that you cannot see? Something you hope for? You gotta
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: keep hope alive, y'all. When you feel like you ain't
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: gonna make it, just keep saying, I hope, Lord, I
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: hope God, I hope Lord, Please, I hope. And I'm
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: telling you here, come to you, Here, come to you.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: And faith is the substance of things hope. For hope
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: turns into faith if you just keep saying it. Keep
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: hope alive, y'all. Always just keep saying you hope. That's
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: the beginning of things happening and changing in your life.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks that they're hope they did
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: something for somebody. Hey, listen, y'all, talk to God. He'd
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: love to hear from you today. See you tomorrow. For
