- 0:00Speaker 1: Are we paying other people that aren't working? And you know,
- 0:04Speaker 1: where's all this? Where's the money gun?
- 0:06Speaker 2: We have found hundreds of billions of dollars a fraud
- 0:09Speaker 2: so far, and we've just started. We're actually going to
- 0:12Speaker 2: Ford Knox to see if the gold is there, because
- 0:14Speaker 2: maybe somebody sold the goals.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Tons of goals.
- 0:17Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Good Tuesday morning. It's Ben Ferguson with you. It's nice
- 0:23Speaker 4: to have you on the forty seven Morning Update. And
- 0:25Speaker 4: here are the big stories we're talking about today. First up,
- 0:28Speaker 4: Donald Trump not taking the bait from the media, backing
- 0:32Speaker 4: Elon Musk email to government employees, asked him, what did
- 0:35Speaker 4: you do in the last week at work. I have
- 0:38Speaker 4: the details on that in a moment. Also, you may
- 0:40Speaker 4: remember the Keystone Pipeline. Democrats did everything they could do
- 0:44Speaker 4: to shut it down and it costs countless people their
- 0:47Speaker 4: jobs in this country. Well, now Donald Trump has a
- 0:50Speaker 4: plan to bring the Keystone Pipeline back. And finally Marco
- 0:53Speaker 4: Rubio says enough already ripping the United Nations and many
- 0:58Speaker 4: of the warhawks, they're keeping the war going between Russia
- 1:02Speaker 4: and Ukraine. It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Right now, story number one.
- 1:07Speaker 4: On Saturday, Elon Musk, who was appointed by President Donald
- 1:11Speaker 4: Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency known as DOGE,
- 1:15Speaker 4: issued an email to all federal employees with a subject line,
- 1:19Speaker 4: what did you do last week?
- 1:21Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:22Speaker 4: The email requested that employees submit a list of five
- 1:25Speaker 4: accomplishments from the previous week by eleven fifty nine pm
- 1:29Speaker 4: on Monday night. Must stated that non responses would be
- 1:34Speaker 4: considered resignations. This directive led to quote widespread confusion the media,
- 1:41Speaker 4: states and resistance across various federal agencies trying to find
- 1:46Speaker 4: a crack in the armor with Donald Trump and Elon
- 1:50Speaker 4: Musk to start a war between the two men. Well,
- 1:53Speaker 4: the President made it pretty clear he wants to know
- 1:56Speaker 4: who's even reading their emails. Well, I'm put pushing back
- 2:00Speaker 4: on you, not on Elon Musk or his email DOGE.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Then do you think that DOGE could benefit from more
- 2:08Speaker 5: streamline communications?
- 2:09Speaker 6: There was that email telling employees to give five things
- 2:12Speaker 6: that they've done last week.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Agency heads then.
- 2:15Speaker 6: Told people to ignore it.
- 2:16Speaker 2: But the last email that was sent where he wanted
- 2:20Speaker 2: to know what you did this week, you know why.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You wanted that.
- 2:23Speaker 2: By the way, I thought it was great because we
- 2:26Speaker 2: have people that don't show up to work and nobody
- 2:28Speaker 2: even knows if they work for the government. So by
- 2:30Speaker 2: asking the question tell us what you did this week,
- 2:33Speaker 2: what he's doing is saying are you actually working? And
- 2:36Speaker 2: then if you don't answer, like you're sort of semi
- 2:40Speaker 2: fired or you're fired because a lot of people are
- 2:43Speaker 2: not answering because they don't even exist. They're trying to
- 2:47Speaker 2: find That's how badly various parts of our government were
- 2:50Speaker 2: run by it, especially by this last group. So what
- 2:53Speaker 2: they're doing is they're trying to find out who's working
- 2:55Speaker 2: for the government. Are we paying other people that aren't working?
- 3:00Speaker 1: And you know where's all that? Where's the money gun some.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Of the Asians.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So I think it was actually there was a lot
- 3:07Speaker 2: of genius in sending it. We're trying to find out
- 3:09Speaker 2: if people are working, and so with sending a letter
- 3:12Speaker 2: to people, please tell us what you did last week,
- 3:14Speaker 2: if people don't respond, it's very possible that there is
- 3:17Speaker 2: no such person or they're not working.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Some of the agency heads instructed their employees not to
- 3:23Speaker 7: respond because they were waiting on further guidance, but Elon
- 3:25Speaker 7: Musk's tweet said a failure to respond would be taken
- 3:28Speaker 7: as a resignation.
- 3:28Speaker 5: So there's been a disconnect in communications.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Are you concerned all that?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Oh wait, no, no, no, that was done in a
- 3:34Speaker 1: friendly manner.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Only things such as perhaps Marco at State Department where
- 3:38Speaker 2: they have very confidential things, or the FBI where they're
- 3:42Speaker 2: working on confidential things. And they don't mean that in
- 3:45Speaker 2: any way combatively with Elon. They're just saying there are
- 3:48Speaker 2: some people that you don't want to really have them
- 3:51Speaker 2: tell you what they're working on. But other than that,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I think everyone thought it was a pretty ingenious and
- 3:56Speaker 2: we have to find out where these people are.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Who are they?
- 4:00Speaker 2: He said, If you don't respond, we assume you're not around.
- 4:03Speaker 6: And that holds that stance, and.
- 4:05Speaker 2: You're not getting paid anymore too. So you know, we're
- 4:07Speaker 2: doing a real job. And we just had a poll
- 4:10Speaker 2: come out, I guess the Harvard poll saying that it's
- 4:13Speaker 2: massively popular what we're doing.
- 4:15Speaker 4: The polls are saying that Donald Trump has this support
- 4:18Speaker 4: of the American people. How do we know this? A
- 4:21Speaker 4: new Harvard Harris poll has come out saying that fifty
- 4:23Speaker 4: eight percent of Americans say that Donald Trump is doing
- 4:25Speaker 4: a better job than Biden. Eighty one percent say they
- 4:28Speaker 4: support deporting criminal aliens, Seventy six percent support eliminating fraud, waste,
- 4:34Speaker 4: and abuse in our government, seventy six percent support closing
- 4:37Speaker 4: the US border, seventy percent support merit based hiring instead
- 4:43Speaker 4: of just government quotas, sixty one percent support reciprocal tariffs,
- 4:48Speaker 4: and sixty percent think that DOGE is helping tremendously in
- 4:53Speaker 4: this country. So if you were thinking the President was
- 4:56Speaker 4: going to back down, or Elon Musk was going to
- 4:59Speaker 4: back down, or they're some sort of war between the two, well,
- 5:02Speaker 4: the media keeps lying to you, and they keep getting
- 5:05Speaker 4: busted lying to you each and every day by this administration.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Now story number two.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Seven years ago, Donald Trump said in the Oval Office
- 5:15Speaker 4: and promised that the Keystone XL pipeline was going to
- 5:18Speaker 4: be built to lower costs for American families and also
- 5:23Speaker 4: so that we would have energy independence. Fast forward seven
- 5:27Speaker 4: years later, and the President is still working on the
- 5:30Speaker 4: project that Democrats have done everything they can do to
- 5:34Speaker 4: stop it. So what did the President say seven years ago?
- 5:37Speaker 4: Here he is in his own words.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Canada will finally be allowed to complete this long old
- 5:42Speaker 1: d project with efficiency and with speed. We're working out
- 5:47Speaker 1: the final details as we speak. It's going to be
- 5:51Speaker 1: an incredible pipeline, greatest technology known demand or a woman,
- 5:57Speaker 1: and frankly, we're very proud of him. Russ Curling, President
- 6:01Speaker 1: of France Canada, is right behind me, and I'm gonna
- 6:05Speaker 1: have to say a few words.
- 6:06Speaker 6: I know, Russ, you've been waiting for a long long time,
- 6:10Speaker 6: and I hope you don't pay your consultants anything because
- 6:12Speaker 6: they had nothing to do with the approval.
- 6:14Speaker 2: In fact, you should ask for the hundreds of millions
- 6:16Speaker 2: of dollars back that you paid that because they didn't
- 6:18Speaker 2: do a damn thing except to get you a no vote.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 6:23Speaker 6: It's a great day for American jobs, at a historic
- 6:25Speaker 6: moment for North America and energy independence. This announcement is
- 6:31Speaker 6: part of a new era of American energy policy that
- 6:33Speaker 6: will lower costs for American families.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Seven years ago, the President made that statement. Democrats did
- 6:40Speaker 4: everything they could, as I mentioned earlier, to stop it.
- 6:42Speaker 4: So what is the president saying now? Donald Trump putting
- 6:46Speaker 4: out a statement on Monday that he wants the Keystone
- 6:48Speaker 4: EXL pipeline, which was opposed for years by activists fighting
- 6:52Speaker 4: against climate change, to be built. The pipeline, which was
- 6:55Speaker 4: proposed in eight to bring oil from Canada's western Tarsans
- 6:59Speaker 4: to US refined and was halted in twenty twenty one
- 7:02Speaker 4: by the owner TC Energy Corps after Democratic President Joe
- 7:07Speaker 4: Biden revoked a key permit needed for a US stretch
- 7:11Speaker 4: of the project. Our country is doing really well, and
- 7:15Speaker 4: today I was just thinking that the company behind the
- 7:19Speaker 4: Keystone Exo pipeline that was viciously jettison by the incompetent
- 7:24Speaker 4: Biden administration should come back to America and get it built. Now.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I know they were treated very badly by sleepy Joe Biden,
- 7:33Speaker 4: but the Trump administration is very different. Easy approvals, almost
- 7:37Speaker 4: immediate start. If not, then perhaps another pipeline company. We
- 7:42Speaker 4: want the Keystone Exo pipeline built, Trump said on Truth
- 7:45Speaker 4: Social Now the President has said yet again that he
- 7:49Speaker 4: believes that energy independence is one of the most important
- 7:52Speaker 4: things to lowering inflation and helping the American family be
- 7:57Speaker 4: able to survive day to day. This is something that
- 8:00Speaker 4: the Democrats didn't care about how much you suffered, and
- 8:03Speaker 4: they wanted you to pay a lot for gas at
- 8:06Speaker 4: the pump. They wanted you to pay a lot for
- 8:08Speaker 4: natural gas. They wanted you to suffer and to bow
- 8:12Speaker 4: to their wishes for a green new deal. Donald Trump
- 8:15Speaker 4: making it clear now America is open for business, including
- 8:20Speaker 4: the Keystone XL pipeline.
- 8:22Speaker 3: And finally, story number three, one.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Of the things that's really important that we are going
- 8:26Speaker 4: to be covering on this show each and every day
- 8:29Speaker 4: is when there is clearly propaganda that is being used
- 8:33Speaker 4: against the Trump administration. This may be one of the
- 8:37Speaker 4: biggest flashpoints so far. In the first six weeks of
- 8:40Speaker 4: his administration, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution
- 8:44Speaker 4: condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ninety three countries voted in favor,
- 8:51Speaker 4: eighteen against, including the United States and Russia. Now, this
- 8:56Speaker 4: immediately turned into propaganda, anti American propaganda, anti Trump propaganda,
- 9:03Speaker 4: saying that Donald Trump is now siding with Russia. It's
- 9:08Speaker 4: easy to buy into that headline if you don't actually
- 9:11Speaker 4: understand the story or why the American government decided to
- 9:16Speaker 4: say no to condemning Russia at the United Nations. Marco Rubio,
- 9:21Speaker 4: Secretary of State, ripped the United Nations as antagonistic and
- 9:26Speaker 4: warmongers trying to keep the Ukraine Russia war continuing on
- 9:31Speaker 4: and on forever. I want you to hear what the
- 9:35Speaker 4: Secretary of State said about this vote so that you
- 9:38Speaker 4: understand the real story behind it.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Take a listen of news today. Are the United States
- 9:45Speaker 5: voted against a europe led resolution at the United Nations
- 9:50Speaker 5: to condemn Russia for the invasion of Ukraine, and then
- 9:54Speaker 5: later a US led resolution passed the Security Council. Talk
- 9:59Speaker 5: to us what happened there?
- 10:01Speaker 7: Yeah, well, on the broader resolution, we think the UN
- 10:03Speaker 7: needs to get if it's going to be useful in
- 10:05Speaker 7: the twenty first century. The UN needs to get back
- 10:06Speaker 7: to its charter mission, which is the prevention and the
- 10:08Speaker 7: ending of war and conflict. And so we felt everyone knows.
- 10:12Speaker 7: You know, you can go back and read the newspaper
- 10:14Speaker 7: articles over the last three years and figure out what
- 10:16Speaker 7: happened in Ukraine. But now, as the President's made very clear,
- 10:19Speaker 7: President Trump wants to end this war. He thinks far
- 10:21Speaker 7: too many people have died and he wants to bring
- 10:23Speaker 7: it to an end. So we didn't feel it was conducive, frankly,
- 10:27Speaker 7: to have something out there at the UN that's antagonistic
- 10:30Speaker 7: against either side. We're trying to get these guys to
- 10:31Speaker 7: the table, and unfortunately Ukraine didn't agree. They wanted to
- 10:35Speaker 7: move forward on theirs. We then went to the Security
- 10:37Speaker 7: Council with our compromise, which I think is a very
- 10:39Speaker 7: fair language, and it basically says war is a terrible thing.
- 10:43Speaker 7: I mean, I'm paraphrasing and I'm being simplistic, but it
- 10:45Speaker 7: says war is a terrible thing. Way too many people
- 10:48Speaker 7: have died. This war needs to end in a way
- 10:50Speaker 7: that's enduring, an essence echoing President Trump's view of what
- 10:55Speaker 7: this conflict needs to be and reminding the United Nations
- 10:59Speaker 7: at the purpose of the United Nations was the prevention
- 11:01Speaker 7: of war and the ending of conflicts, not making it
- 11:04Speaker 7: harder to end conflicts. So I thought it was good
- 11:08Speaker 7: that we got it done at the Security Council. The
- 11:09Speaker 7: Russians didn't veto it, which is a good sign. I'm
- 11:12Speaker 7: not telling you that that is going to end this conflict,
- 11:14Speaker 7: and I can't wait till at least the Phonic is there,
- 11:16Speaker 7: because it'd be great to have her leadership. But I
- 11:19Speaker 7: certainly think our language is better language, and hopefully further
- 11:23Speaker 7: is the cause of peace.
- 11:24Speaker 5: President Trump today alongside French President Emanuel Macron, said that
- 11:29Speaker 5: he hopes that this can be resolved in a matter
- 11:31Speaker 5: of weeks, not months. Weeks. What are some of the
- 11:36Speaker 5: major steps that we need to take to get to
- 11:38Speaker 5: that point.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Well, I think the President would want it to end yesterday, right.
- 11:41Speaker 7: He thinks already too many people have died, There's been
- 11:43Speaker 7: too much destruction. By the way, I think everybody should
- 11:45Speaker 7: be very happy that President Trump is a peace president.
- 11:47Speaker 7: We have a president that wants to end wars, not
- 11:50Speaker 7: start new ones. He wants to end human suffering, not
- 11:53Speaker 7: exacerbated or extended. Now that said, it's a conflict, it's
- 11:57Speaker 7: a war, and it's going back and forth. We got
- 11:59Speaker 7: to get them both to the table, starting with the Russians.
- 12:02Speaker 7: So we met with them last week and the basic
- 12:04Speaker 7: question of that meeting was are you interested in ending
- 12:06Speaker 7: this conflict or not? A lot of people don't know
- 12:08Speaker 7: the answer to that. If you talked to some in Europe,
- 12:09Speaker 7: they'll tell you that Putin is not interested in ending
- 12:12Speaker 7: the war. They said they would be under the right conditions.
- 12:15Speaker 7: We didn't discuss what those conditions were. So the next
- 12:17Speaker 7: step now is to meet with them again at some
- 12:19Speaker 7: point with the right group of people in the room,
- 12:21Speaker 7: and begin to outline what would it take for Russia
- 12:24Speaker 7: to stop a war. And obviously we got to ask
- 12:26Speaker 7: Ukraine the same question, because you can't stop a war
- 12:28Speaker 7: unless both sides agree to it. So whether it takes
- 12:32Speaker 7: days or weeks or what have you, we're going to
- 12:34Speaker 7: begin that process. It may not work out, But why
- 12:36Speaker 7: would anybody criticize President Trump for wanting to end a
- 12:39Speaker 7: war that's cost billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of lives,
- 12:43Speaker 7: and tremendous and ongoing human suffering.
- 12:45Speaker 4: You listen to what Marco Rubio said there, and now
- 12:48Speaker 4: you understand exactly why they decided to not try to
- 12:51Speaker 4: antagonize two countries. You're wanting to get to the table
- 12:55Speaker 4: to end the war. Now, the media is not going
- 12:58Speaker 4: to tell you this part of the story. They're not
- 13:01Speaker 4: gonna play for you what I just played from you
- 13:03Speaker 4: for Marco Rubio. And this is exactly why I say,
- 13:06Speaker 4: I hope you take the information that I give you
- 13:08Speaker 4: every day here and you give it to others that
- 13:11Speaker 4: you know, because without all of us telling the story,
- 13:15Speaker 4: the media will continue to lie and.
