- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now one and only. Uh, Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a radio show. But like I said the other day,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you got something too, though, don't you. God hadn't done
- 2:16Speaker 1: something wonderful for you. You just gotta thank Him for it,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, in the midst of all that's going on
- 2:23Speaker 1: in my life and in your life. You know, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: always use myself as an example because well, I mean
- 2:30Speaker 1: that way. I guarantee one hundred percent I know what
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Here's the situation, you know, with everything
- 2:37Speaker 1: that's going on in my life and all the things
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm asking God for in the midst of a taxing
- 2:46Speaker 1: and a very trying situation. That's very challenging for me
- 2:50Speaker 1: right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on surprising me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: He keeps doing things. And I want you to look
- 2:59Speaker 1: at your life. Or for a second, let's make two
- 3:03Speaker 1: columns here. Let's make a column of all the things
- 3:08Speaker 1: you want from God. You know, just do that throughout
- 3:11Speaker 1: the course of the day. You know, you know, run
- 3:13Speaker 1: down the list of all the things you're asking God for,
- 3:15Speaker 1: all the things you're praying for, the things you aspire to,
- 3:19Speaker 1: what your dreams, your visions, whatever it is. Just make
- 3:22Speaker 1: a column, a list of all those things. Let's make
- 3:27Speaker 1: three lists. And then the second list, I want you
- 3:29Speaker 1: to make a list of everything that you've been asking
- 3:35Speaker 1: God for. So I guess that could be a little
- 3:38Speaker 1: bit of the same. But this third list, I want
- 3:40Speaker 1: you to do a check off point. I want you
- 3:42Speaker 1: to do a make a list of everything that God
- 3:46Speaker 1: has given you that you've asked him for. Just think
- 3:49Speaker 1: about it like that for a second. I may be
- 3:52Speaker 1: explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm gonna pull
- 3:54Speaker 1: it together for you. Make a list of everything you're
- 3:58Speaker 1: asking God for, just just listed. You know, it's Okay,
- 4:01Speaker 1: it's a dream board. You can call it that. I
- 4:03Speaker 1: got one. It's a vision board. You know, everybody's got
- 4:06Speaker 1: something you hope for. Make a list now. I want
- 4:09Speaker 1: you to make another list of everything you've asked God
- 4:14Speaker 1: for that he's given you already. See this is a
- 4:18Speaker 1: good list because sometimes and what I've been guilty of,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and maybe you two in my request list on my
- 4:27Speaker 1: dream board. I keep focusing so hard sometimes on the
- 4:32Speaker 1: what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing so hard
- 4:36Speaker 1: on the what I hope he gives me. I keep
- 4:39Speaker 1: focusing so hard on the things that I yet not
- 4:43Speaker 1: fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he starts checking
- 4:49Speaker 1: off my wish list the things I've asked for in
- 4:52Speaker 1: the past that have come to pass that he's given me,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I sometimes, in praying for what I want forget to
- 5:00Speaker 1: thank him for what he's done for me. And I'm
- 5:04Speaker 1: currently in the middle of that situation. And this morning
- 5:06Speaker 1: when I woke up, I really, man, I just got
- 5:09Speaker 1: on my knees this morning and I quit tripping for
- 5:11Speaker 1: a second. I said, Man, hey, God, you know what
- 5:14Speaker 1: I really do need all them things I'm asking for,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and I'm really am believing that you're gonna give it
- 5:20Speaker 1: to me. But in the meantime, though, Man, have I
- 5:23Speaker 1: overlooked some important details here. I had to really look
- 5:28Speaker 1: at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally and look, well, you
- 5:34Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, So just leave yourself in
- 5:38Speaker 1: it there. But man, I started looking at the eye
- 5:41Speaker 1: part of me, and I started looking around at what's
- 5:44Speaker 1: happening overall. Like, man, he has kept my family together
- 5:49Speaker 1: in spite of the attempts to tear it apart. I
- 5:52Speaker 1: look at all of that. I look at how he's
- 5:54Speaker 1: blessing my children with the desires of their heart, which
- 5:57Speaker 1: I pray for my kids. You know, I want my
- 5:58Speaker 1: kids to have a better life than I've had. I
- 6:01Speaker 1: really really do. I don't want them to take as
- 6:04Speaker 1: long as it took me to get it together. I
- 6:06Speaker 1: really really don't. I'm trying to say, hey, man, if
- 6:09Speaker 1: you go to college, this is what you can be.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Don't do like your father did. Don't go three years,
- 6:13Speaker 1: drop out, throw yourself into a spiral and then got
- 6:16Speaker 1: to start to scratch all over again, you know, And
- 6:19Speaker 1: for the most part so far. You know, they're doing
- 6:23Speaker 1: quite well of it. You know, you know they they're
- 6:24Speaker 1: getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life. I
- 6:27Speaker 1: started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me overcome
- 6:32Speaker 1: with some of the previous mistakes I've made in relationships
- 6:36Speaker 1: in my life. And then I started looking about the
- 6:39Speaker 1: things he's blessed me with that I've been asking him for.
- 6:42Speaker 1: But since I've moved on from it, I forgot to
- 6:45Speaker 1: keep thinking him because I gotta always thank God for
- 6:48Speaker 1: a roof over my head because guess what, when I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was asking for the roof and I didn't really have it,
- 6:53Speaker 1: then he gave me one. Since he gave it to me, what,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm just cool now, I can't ever go back to
- 6:58Speaker 1: him and go, hey, man, I really do appreciate this
- 7:00Speaker 1: roof over my head because that was a time when
- 7:03Speaker 1: I was living in a car. But see, so every
- 7:05Speaker 1: morning I wake up, I gotta remember the fact that
- 7:07Speaker 1: I have a home now, because I got to look
- 7:10Speaker 1: back and go, man, that was time, Steve, when you
- 7:12Speaker 1: didn't have no home. But see, we forget what God
- 7:16Speaker 1: has done for us because in our column, that won't column,
- 7:20Speaker 1: the need column we oftentimes forget for the columns and
- 7:25Speaker 1: the check marks, as He's already fulfilled in our life.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You've got to take inventory every now and then daily
- 7:34Speaker 1: if possible. But I know we're humans. We're not going
- 7:36Speaker 1: to do that. I don't. But you've got to take
- 7:39Speaker 1: inventory of your life to say, hey, what has God
- 7:43Speaker 1: done for me? You know? And remember something else too.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept the challenge
- 7:53Speaker 1: that it is. Look a lot of you come up
- 7:56Speaker 1: to me all the time and say, Steve Man, thank you,
- 7:59Speaker 1: man boy, you in the morning. Man, I really be
- 8:02Speaker 1: needing that, Like I under said it a hundred times,
- 8:04Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it again, y'all. I'll be needing
- 8:07Speaker 1: it too. You know. You understand, sometimes what God is
- 8:12Speaker 1: dealing with me is for me. But now I'm in
- 8:16Speaker 1: a sharing position where I can open up and if
- 8:19Speaker 1: I just if I just quit being so about me
- 8:21Speaker 1: and become a little bit more transparent, I can maybe
- 8:25Speaker 1: some of me that's happening to me is happening to you,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and you can see some of this in me. That's
- 8:30Speaker 1: why I use myself as an example, because man, I'm
- 8:33Speaker 1: catching it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either. So for
- 8:37Speaker 1: those of you that come up to me and say that,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I want you to understand these these talks in the morning. Man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: this is important for me because man, I need these
- 8:47Speaker 1: conversations from God. I need God to continue to strengthen me,
- 8:51Speaker 1: to show me the way, to help me understand what's
- 8:55Speaker 1: happening to me. And see, as we've all those of
- 8:58Speaker 1: you who have made the decision to change, to become
- 9:01Speaker 1: a better person, a better woman, a better boy, a
- 9:03Speaker 1: better girl, a better man. For those of you who
- 9:05Speaker 1: have made the decision to change, change is a challenge,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and accept the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right
- 9:11Speaker 1: out of that here come to haters. Here they come
- 9:14Speaker 1: people you don't even know, discussing your life and your change.
- 9:18Speaker 1: If God see you, really really mean what you say
- 9:22Speaker 1: in spite of what they say about you, God will
- 9:25Speaker 1: raise you above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you, he'll
- 9:29Speaker 1: keep blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He will
- 9:33Speaker 1: use you as a show off point. He'll show you
- 9:36Speaker 1: off man. He'll make you. He'll make you look good
- 9:39Speaker 1: to people man who wish you'd fall all day long.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And so to all your haters, all your haters will
- 9:45Speaker 1: end up just watching you rise. Man, they will watch
- 9:48Speaker 1: you continue to grow. That's what God will do for you. Man.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
- 9:54Speaker 1: God know your heart, he know your every thought. Man.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, man, have you

- 16:27Speaker 1: is that's over here, you know, I mean Africa. You
- 16:29Speaker 1: know Steve took so much malarious medicine. You know that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I just don't know what And you don't even have
- 16:38Speaker 1: to do all that. You know. That's a myth about
- 16:40Speaker 1: over here. I ain't. I ain't seen a mosquito. Really,
- 16:46Speaker 1: it's just it's just it's it's just a dog o shame.
- 16:50Speaker 1: The things they say about over here to ain't true.
- 16:53Speaker 1: It's a beautiful country, is lots of city living. The
- 16:56Speaker 1: people's in Sweden kind and you know that ten television
- 17:00Speaker 1: is good and really on the food is asked me.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Just a wonderful place. Okay, all right, well that's good.
- 17:07Speaker 1: That's encouraging because I've never been to Africa, would love
- 17:10Speaker 1: to go. Well, you know, yeah, it's it's an interesting place.
- 17:18Speaker 1: They look h yeah, they look just like people's over there.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I could have swow. I seen two of my husbands
- 17:26Speaker 1: the other day. Which one which number? Oh? Let me
- 17:32Speaker 1: see I think back. I gotta kind of add it up,
- 17:35Speaker 1: because you know, it's been living on them. So I
- 17:38Speaker 1: think I saw number six, and I think I saw
- 17:41Speaker 1: number nine, Harold. I know I saw Harold. He looked
- 17:46Speaker 1: at Harold, and then I thought I and then I
- 17:49Speaker 1: thought I saw Rayford, and I said, but when you
- 17:56Speaker 1: said what, I said, No, I'm Jesus factor Mason, you're fighting.
- 18:07Speaker 1: But it wasn't them, Thank god, it wasn't. There wasn't
- 18:11Speaker 1: Oh you know what I want to have. You know
- 18:13Speaker 1: something else? I think it is over here? What what
- 18:20Speaker 1: is the sister there? It's a delayed you know, like
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm hearing y'all. You know, it's a different system over here.
- 18:32Speaker 1: So I'm hearing y'all late and y'all hearing me lateness,
- 18:36Speaker 1: making one of us sound stupid. Okay, Well, now that
- 18:42Speaker 1: we've cleared that up, we see where the problem is. Um,
- 18:47Speaker 1: did you want to know what's going on over here
- 18:49Speaker 1: in America? A lot of stuff? I shall do what
- 18:53Speaker 1: is going on? Because I ain't been there in a minute?
- 18:55Speaker 1: So what is its? Weedy? Well, I just wanted to
- 18:58Speaker 1: tell you this because you may be able to relate
- 19:00Speaker 1: to this her reaction anyway. You know the rapper Trina
- 19:05Speaker 1: out of Miami, the baddest Bee she calls herself. Well,
- 19:08Speaker 1: she was in Walmart over the weekend. In Walmart, Yes, ma'am.
- 19:14Speaker 1: She was in Walmart doing some shopping. She accidentally bumped
- 19:20Speaker 1: into a woman, a white woman, and the white woman
- 19:23Speaker 1: called her a black in word bee, And needless to say,
- 19:29Speaker 1: Trina went in on the lady. She did. A white
- 19:33Speaker 1: woman called a black woman. That's a rapper crushed at Huh, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Well let's hit the good news of this story right here.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Condition looked like this is gonna have a happy ending.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Not for the white woman. I'm afraid she ended up
- 19:54Speaker 1: leaving that someone called the police. The police came Trina,
- 19:57Speaker 1: of course, you know, she was not having it. Just
- 20:00Speaker 1: was not having it and rightfully, so, you know, right rightfully.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So it turned into a big mess and she didn't
- 20:08Speaker 1: decide not to press charges or anything. But I mean,
- 20:11Speaker 1: just imagine that happening. It was just crazy, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and we gotta sorry to say, sister Odell, move on,
- 20:19Speaker 1: thank you. And coming up next, Junior in for Tommy.
- 20:25Speaker 1: With this delay and everything, it just sounds too crazy.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I think for me, I'm already slow. Now I got
- 20:32Speaker 1: a delay. You know, Junior will be in for the
- 20:36Speaker 1: nephew who's out because of shoulder surgery. We'll talk about
- 20:39Speaker 1: that when we get back. Right after this. You're listening
- 20:42Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 20:46Speaker 1: top of the hour and entertainment news. Steve has a major,
- 20:50Speaker 1: I'm talking major announcement about the twenty twenty Sand and
- 20:53Speaker 1: Soul Festival, plus miss and is standing by with today's
- 20:57Speaker 1: national news. Right now. Junior is in for the ailing nephew.
- 21:02Speaker 1: He's recovering from surgery. He had shoulder surgery, as we
- 21:06Speaker 1: told you all yesterday, and uh, he should be recovering
- 21:10Speaker 1: nicely and Juniors in to run that prank back for
- 21:13Speaker 1: the nephew. Junior, what you got you married your brother.
- 21:19Speaker 1: That's how he says you married your brother. Huh, watched it?
- 21:24Speaker 1: Watched you married your brother? Run it cat. Hello, Hello,
- 21:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach AYR Carmon PLU. This is she
- 21:34Speaker 1: Hi Carmen. My name is Keith Keep. I'm calling you
- 21:37Speaker 1: from insurance group. Hi. How are you good? You and
- 21:41Speaker 1: your husband? What is it Harvey? Harvey? Is that right? Yes? Harvey? Okay,
- 21:46Speaker 1: you guys actually put applications and actually went in and
- 21:49Speaker 1: got your physicals done for Life insurance, right, Yeah, yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 1: that's correct. Okay. I actually I'm calling you from the
- 21:55Speaker 1: insurance group. I have you alls live results and everything
- 21:58Speaker 1: as far as your physicals, blood cuts and things of
- 22:01Speaker 1: that nature. Is there any way I could possibly talk
- 22:04Speaker 1: to both of you guys at the same time, you
- 22:06Speaker 1: and Harvey as that possible? Um, well, sure he's at
- 22:09Speaker 1: work right now, but I can get him on the phone. Okay.
- 22:13Speaker 1: It would be uh, it'd be kind of easy if
- 22:14Speaker 1: I kind of explained everything to both of you guys
- 22:16Speaker 1: at the same time as if that's okay, Okay, some wrong?
- 22:20Speaker 1: Uh No, nothing's wrong. I mean I think I need
- 22:22Speaker 1: to just try to bring a few things to you
- 22:23Speaker 1: guys attention. But I think you know after that, it's
- 22:26Speaker 1: pretty much you guys decision on what you do. But
- 22:28Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know a few things
- 22:29Speaker 1: about you know, the results and things of that nature.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Life insurance, the whole nine yards. Okay, okay, let me
- 22:36Speaker 1: shoop talking to him on the phone. Hello, hey, babe,
- 22:41Speaker 1: Hey sweetheart. Um, look, I got the insurance people on
- 22:45Speaker 1: the line. They want to get both of us on
- 22:46Speaker 1: the phone to talk to us about the insurance stuff.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Oh hey, Harvey, are you doing this? Is key keep
- 22:53Speaker 1: from the insurance group. How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nick? Key? Good? Good? Listen. Um,
- 22:58Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 23:00Speaker 1: of follow up. You guys did physicals and blood tests
- 23:03Speaker 1: in the whole nine yards, and I wanted to give
- 23:04Speaker 1: you guys a call. It's kind of better if I
- 23:06Speaker 1: talked to both of you guys at the same time.
- 23:08Speaker 1: So if you have a minute that we could actually
- 23:10Speaker 1: use to kind of get some of this information out
- 23:12Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, man, I'm gonna
- 23:14Speaker 1: break right now. I'm good. Okay. Great. First of all,
- 23:16Speaker 1: we've gotten all your your lab results back everything, and
- 23:19Speaker 1: I kind of got a few questions for you guys
- 23:22Speaker 1: that I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you
- 23:25Speaker 1: guys actually been married. Well, we've been again about three
- 23:28Speaker 1: two years. Okay, now, prior to being married three years,
- 23:32Speaker 1: How long did you guys know each other before you
- 23:33Speaker 1: got married. I would say about five and a half
- 23:37Speaker 1: five six kids years. Okay, you guys been knowing each
- 23:40Speaker 1: other pretty close to nine years now altogether. Yeah, okay.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Are you actually from the same hometowns? You grew up
- 23:46Speaker 1: in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we grew up.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is this question I mean,
- 23:53Speaker 1: is this about the insurance or well, I mean there
- 23:56Speaker 1: are a few things that's that's actually uh puzzling, car
- 24:00Speaker 1: and that we need to This is I actually didn't
- 24:05Speaker 1: want to bring you guys. I mean we have to.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I have to actually give you this news. Looking at
- 24:10Speaker 1: our records, looking at all the test results, and let
- 24:12Speaker 1: me be the first to tell you that we run
- 24:14Speaker 1: these results over and over and over trying to make
- 24:17Speaker 1: sure we are completely one hundred and fifteen right, Okay,
- 24:21Speaker 1: it's a problem with the test. Well, looking at our
- 24:23Speaker 1: test guys, Harvey a garment, it's indicating that you guys
- 24:29Speaker 1: are related, and nine times I'd attend you are you
- 24:32Speaker 1: guys are siblings? Hold on, man, what and I understand
- 24:41Speaker 1: the shot. It took me. It took everything I had
- 24:43Speaker 1: to make this phone call. I did not want to
- 24:45Speaker 1: make it. But looking at our records, and we went
- 24:47Speaker 1: over these records over and over and and and the
- 24:51Speaker 1: blow works tells us that you guys are actually siblings. Man,
- 25:00Speaker 1: are you serious? I'm actually my wife. You know this
- 25:05Speaker 1: is not a this is not a laughing matter, not
- 25:06Speaker 1: a joking matter. You know, Like I said, I did
- 25:09Speaker 1: not want to call with this information. What you did?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Make the call? Man? Look you, I don't know what.
- 25:16Speaker 1: You need to go back and and and double check
- 25:19Speaker 1: your records or something, because you've been married three brief
- 25:24Speaker 1: check with the laugh man, can't you check with the
- 25:26Speaker 1: laughing like Paul's back Harvey? And and I knew those
- 25:30Speaker 1: questions would have come up, and we we went over it.
- 25:33Speaker 1: We went over it and over and over it. Y'all
- 25:36Speaker 1: need to go over it again because Babe, I got this.
- 25:41Speaker 1: You make the call and this gotta be wrong. So
- 25:45Speaker 1: what you need to do is make another call. It
- 25:48Speaker 1: called a lab and call us back and let us
- 25:50Speaker 1: know that you either. So they made a mistake of
- 25:53Speaker 1: are you talking about me and my wife? And I
- 25:55Speaker 1: understand it, Harry, Harry, let me ask you this is
- 25:57Speaker 1: it possible, you know, and this is just a question.
- 26:01Speaker 1: Is it possible that your dad and maybe her mom
- 26:03Speaker 1: maybe knew each other at some point and what you're
- 26:07Speaker 1: saying by my mom and dad, that's that's so straight.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Look at you need to have go back and do
- 26:13Speaker 1: whatever you need to do. But I thought you what
- 26:15Speaker 1: you say something like that again, I tell you my
- 26:17Speaker 1: baby's gonna be coming down and then beat you. I'm
- 26:19Speaker 1: saying like that, hold on baby, old baby, baby, baby,
- 26:22Speaker 1: old old baby. I got this hold on baby. I
- 26:27Speaker 1: gotta how you're gonna call me with you what you
- 26:30Speaker 1: don't know? You from a people dude like that? But
- 26:33Speaker 1: that ain't all I'm doing, sir, is bringing you the result.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Why don't you bring me results in person? And I
- 26:38Speaker 1: bet I whup you. That's what I'm talking about. Hey, sir,
- 26:42Speaker 1: even if you beat the messenger at the end of
- 26:44Speaker 1: the day, that's still your sister. At the end of
- 26:47Speaker 1: the day, I'm gonna whope you. Look, I don't care
- 26:48Speaker 1: what you're talking about nothing. He ain't my damn brother.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Got it. I'm gonna find out you off whatever jupicle
- 26:55Speaker 1: you in. You're gonna call me something about brother. That's
- 26:59Speaker 1: my wife. I'm telling that somewhere down the line, somebody
- 27:02Speaker 1: made a mistake and you guys, a brother and sister
- 27:05Speaker 1: got married. I'm not at far for that. Let me
- 27:08Speaker 1: tell you that mistake. He's in one of these numbers
- 27:11Speaker 1: again in your life. So I got one more touch
- 27:14Speaker 1: result I do need to get you got hold what
- 27:18Speaker 1: you've been talking about? Then what else you got to say?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Now it's gonna be working. The only other touch result
- 27:23Speaker 1: I have, ma'am, is that this is nephew taught me
- 27:26Speaker 1: from the Steve Harby Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 27:29Speaker 1: by your girlfriend. I told you ain't like when I
- 27:44Speaker 1: got one more thing, I got to ask both of y'all,
- 27:46Speaker 1: what is the baddest And I'm talking about the baddest
- 27:49Speaker 1: radio show in the land. Harvey morn to show, Huh
- 27:56Speaker 1: hire we go? Didn't you marry your brothers? Come on, boy,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you the greatest, This coming from Donna. Come on about
- 28:09Speaker 1: international international, international boat respect, aderlation everything, Come on, gratitude
- 28:16Speaker 1: to know you Come on now, how you little ragged
- 28:19Speaker 1: ass shoulder? Do it right now? I just came out.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I shut it down and operating room five so was
- 28:26Speaker 1: off the chain. Yeah, I'm talking about in surgery, you surgery.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Come on now, I'm full everywhere. Are you in any
- 28:38Speaker 1: pain right now? Oh? Yeah? Absolutely? Oh you know you
- 28:40Speaker 1: do never pay All right, Junior, Thank you, and for
- 28:44Speaker 1: the nephew coming up at the top of the hour.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Some entertainment and national news right after this. You're listening
- 28:50Speaker 1: to st all right, Steve, So you have a major
- 28:57Speaker 1: announcement about twenty twenty Soul Festival. Let's hear a baby
- 29:03Speaker 1: lation maybe renounced Smith. Soul is a deal. Being the
- 29:10Speaker 1: traveler that I am, and being as knowledgeable as I've
- 29:13Speaker 1: become over the years, that God has giving me an
- 29:17Speaker 1: opportunity to see some wonderful places around the world. My
- 29:20Speaker 1: wife and I and uh some of my family members,
- 29:23Speaker 1: but mostly my wife and I. Uh we we we've
- 29:26Speaker 1: been doing this saying it soul. Now listen to this, everybody.
- 29:30Speaker 1: It's what I want you to know because I want
- 29:32Speaker 1: to talk to you about the Sating Soul Festival. Uh
- 29:36Speaker 1: twenty twenty huh At twenty not twenty nineteen that's coming home.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I want to talk to y'all about Sating Soul twenty twenty.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I've been putting on this festival a lot of comedies,
- 29:48Speaker 1: some concerts, empowerment, relaxation at luxury all inclusive resorts. I'm
- 29:55Speaker 1: doing it now for the past three years and it
- 29:57Speaker 1: just keeps getting better and better. Now. We just hosted
- 30:00Speaker 1: this last year's event, and it was absolutely off the
- 30:04Speaker 1: chain that me and Marjorie was out on the dance
- 30:06Speaker 1: floor with y'all my girls out there in the pool
- 30:09Speaker 1: with Lisa Ray. I heard about that that was not
- 30:11Speaker 1: playing or they ended up hosting the pool party out there,
- 30:14Speaker 1: but y'all was clowning out there in that audience on
- 30:18Speaker 1: the showtime at Deal Apollo Night. And we just had
- 30:20Speaker 1: a lot of fun, man. I mean man, I saw
- 30:22Speaker 1: some old friends. I actually bought down up some catching
- 30:26Speaker 1: I went to college with. Man. I had a real
- 30:28Speaker 1: up man. Man. I just had a good time, y'all. So,
- 30:31Speaker 1: and what I want y'all to do go to my
- 30:33Speaker 1: Instagram and my Facebook page, and I want you to
- 30:35Speaker 1: check out the video that you can see what I'm
- 30:38Speaker 1: talking about that I'm releasing from this year's event. But
- 30:41Speaker 1: now next year we are all doing all of this,
- 30:46Speaker 1: but we are going to add a couple of things
- 30:49Speaker 1: due to popular demand, and we listened to our audience.
- 30:53Speaker 1: They've been loyal and so they told us what they want.
- 30:55Speaker 1: So we've been doing some thinking and we moved in
- 30:57Speaker 1: and we shift some stuff around. We adding all new, sexy,
- 31:02Speaker 1: all white, dinner on the beach with live music, and
- 31:06Speaker 1: then this year I've added Today I've watched my clientele.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I said, man, you know it'll be slick. We love spades,
- 31:13Speaker 1: we love bid whist, we love dominoes, I said, dog
- 31:19Speaker 1: Gonnis Steve while we down that clown and when it
- 31:22Speaker 1: get nightfall, we're gonna have us a Spade bid wi
- 31:27Speaker 1: in Domino tournament with cash pride. Oh man, We're just
- 31:31Speaker 1: gonna sit down and do what we do. Marjorie's gonna
- 31:33Speaker 1: having exclusive design items at her beauty ball. It's about
- 31:37Speaker 1: to go down. But now I want to let y'all
- 31:39Speaker 1: know something. We got the dates and the location already
- 31:42Speaker 1: secured for twenty twenty, so you can start playing early
- 31:46Speaker 1: the twenty twenty saying it Soul Festival's headed to the
- 31:50Speaker 1: Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Poota Kanna in Poota
- 31:55Speaker 1: Khanna man for the Labor Day holiday September third through
- 32:00Speaker 1: the seventh. Only thing changes the dates. We are going
- 32:04Speaker 1: to the luxurious Hard Rock Hotel and casino and Puna Kanna.
- 32:10Speaker 1: It's just we decided to go back. We've listened to
- 32:13Speaker 1: our customers. We were well aware. Everything has been rectified.
- 32:18Speaker 1: We've got great reports. Tourism Board is happy about it.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Everybody's excited. We are going back. All right, listen to me,
- 32:26Speaker 1: everybody right now. You can call us at one eight
- 32:29Speaker 1: hundred six four twenty eight twenty five. That's one eight
- 32:32Speaker 1: hundred six eight four twenty eight twenty five to listen
- 32:34Speaker 1: to this. We are running our early bird special right
- 32:38Speaker 1: now through Christmas, all the way through December thirty. First
- 32:43Speaker 1: you can secure your spot, so call us. This is
- 32:45Speaker 1: a bomb diggity Christmas gift. Now you want to give
- 32:48Speaker 1: this Christmas gift to somebody under the tree and tell
- 32:51Speaker 1: them we're going to the Saying the Soul Puntakanna. Give
- 32:54Speaker 1: the gift of Saying the Soul for the holidays. All right, Steve,
- 32:58Speaker 1: thank you. Time for today's headlines. It's taken on over
- 33:01Speaker 1: to miss and Steve. Ladies and gentlemen, miss and trip.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. I'm really looking forward to that weekend.
- 33:08Speaker 1: It sounds good. This is entered with the News well
- 33:11Speaker 1: after weeks of closed door hearings the impeachment and career
- 33:13Speaker 1: into the House schools public today, as we were talking
- 33:16Speaker 1: about all week and last week. The chairman of the
- 33:18Speaker 1: House Intelligence Committee is Adam Schiff, and he says that'll
- 33:21Speaker 1: probably a good thing act. Those open hearings will be
- 33:23Speaker 1: an opportunity for the American people to evaluate the witnesses
- 33:28Speaker 1: for themselves, to make their own determinations about the credibility
- 33:31Speaker 1: of the witnesses, but also to learn firsthand about the
- 33:34Speaker 1: facts of the president's misconduct. Adam Schiff is warning his colleagues, though,
- 33:37Speaker 1: against trying to expose the whistleblower whose complaints sparked the
- 33:41Speaker 1: original probe into Trump and the Ukraine. The Supreme Court
- 33:44Speaker 1: heard arguments yesterday on the Trump administration's effort to get
- 33:48Speaker 1: rid of one of President Obama's signature programs, DOCCA, or
- 33:51Speaker 1: the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program. DOCCA protects them
- 33:55Speaker 1: seven hundred thousand people brought here illegally as children from
- 33:58Speaker 1: being deported. Donald Trump announced two years ago that his
- 34:01Speaker 1: administration would be ending the program and its protections, but
- 34:05Speaker 1: lower federal courts have not allowed that. The High courts
- 34:08Speaker 1: now being called on to decide whether the way the
- 34:10Speaker 1: Trump administration has been trying to weaken the program is
- 34:13Speaker 1: in compliance with federal law. The discvision expected by next June.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Some observers down there say it looks like the right
- 34:20Speaker 1: wing majority of the High Court is going to agree
- 34:23Speaker 1: with Donald Trump. On another matter, justices have decided not
- 34:26Speaker 1: to stop a lawsuit brought by the families of the
- 34:29Speaker 1: Sandy Hook victims against the Remington Arms Corporation. Those are
- 34:33Speaker 1: the makers of the semi automatic rifle that was used
- 34:35Speaker 1: to murder scores of those young elementary school children and
- 34:38Speaker 1: their teachers in Newtown, Connecticut, back seven years ago. They
- 34:42Speaker 1: are suing Remington. McDonald's now is being sued. McDonald's has
- 34:46Speaker 1: been hit with a class actions lawsuit in Michigan accusing
- 34:51Speaker 1: McDonald's corporation of enabling a culture of routine sexual harassment
- 34:55Speaker 1: and abuse of women employees by their male co workers,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and the American Civil Liberties is among the organizations supporting
- 35:02Speaker 1: this suit. There's word that there are other women, other
- 35:05Speaker 1: female of McDonald's employees, and other states that may also
- 35:08Speaker 1: sue that cooperation. Doctors say there have been no complications, luckily,
- 35:14Speaker 1: from the surgery that former President Jimmy Carter underwent yesterday
- 35:17Speaker 1: to relieve the pressure on his brain caused by some
- 35:19Speaker 1: recent falls. The window of the late Maryland Congressman Elijah
- 35:23Speaker 1: Cummings has resigned as chairperson of the Maryland Democratic Party.
- 35:27Speaker 1: That announcement is coming amid speculation that she's thinking about
- 35:29Speaker 1: running for her late husband's house seat. Baltimore State Senator
- 35:33Speaker 1: Corey mccraig right now serving as interim party chair until
- 35:36Speaker 1: election is held to find a permanent replacement, and today
- 35:38Speaker 1: as national starter Rumor Day every day. Now back to
- 35:43Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Warning Show. You're listening to the show. Well,
- 35:49Speaker 1: as they say, no good deed goes unpunished. We told
- 35:52Speaker 1: you about Trina the rapper and the incident in Walmart.
- 35:56Speaker 1: We told you about that yesterday while Trina was on
- 35:59Speaker 1: tm SEE Live yesterday and talked about that heated Walmart
- 36:03Speaker 1: confrontation with the white woman who called her an inward be.
- 36:09Speaker 1: The whole thing started with Trina trying to help her
- 36:12Speaker 1: not because she bumped into her. Take a listen to this.
- 36:15Speaker 1: That wasn't what happened. I didn't bump into her in
- 36:17Speaker 1: the store. I actually was in the store shopping when
- 36:20Speaker 1: this lady was way across in a kid's section, like
- 36:22Speaker 1: shopping with clothes, and she was just crying. She was
- 36:25Speaker 1: boom crying, and I just looked over and was like, oh, hi,
- 36:27Speaker 1: are you okay? And she looked up like a demon, demonic,
- 36:31Speaker 1: very evil satanic witch, and she was like, get away
- 36:35Speaker 1: from me, you and I looked and I was a
- 36:39Speaker 1: little like confused a bit, and then I walked away.
- 36:43Speaker 1: And then I turned around, like wait a minute, and
- 36:45Speaker 1: I looked at the guys that were stocking up like
- 36:47Speaker 1: the wrecks, and I was like, did you see what
- 36:49Speaker 1: she said? And the guy was like did I think
- 36:51Speaker 1: she said what I think she said? And I was
- 36:53Speaker 1: like yeah, And I turned around and I was like whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 36:56Speaker 1: And so I kept on moving around, and there was
- 36:58Speaker 1: so many people coming up like yo, this is so crazy.
- 37:00Speaker 1: We heard her. We heard her. As I got ready
- 37:02Speaker 1: to walk towards the register, I saw her again, walking
- 37:04Speaker 1: just strolling through the holm, nothing in her basket and
- 37:07Speaker 1: as I got to the register, my friend said, you
- 37:09Speaker 1: owe my friend in apology, and that's when she just
- 37:11Speaker 1: looked around, acting belligerent, like why are you guys asking
- 37:15Speaker 1: me anything? I don't know what you're talking about? And
- 37:16Speaker 1: I say it, said again, you caused me and I
- 37:18Speaker 1: am an one that with your ass. Okay, are we clear?
- 37:23Speaker 1: Why are we clear? If you want to meet one,
- 37:27Speaker 1: that's really what had happened, Okay the trainer's mouth. She
- 37:31Speaker 1: went on to say she did not inflict any physical
- 37:34Speaker 1: harm on this woman, which she notes likely would have
- 37:37Speaker 1: resulted in major legal trouble for herself instead of the
- 37:42Speaker 1: mouthy racist customers. So there you go. She was smart enough,
- 37:48Speaker 1: Trino fault, being smart enough to not physically do anything.
- 37:53Speaker 1: But you know, man, at the same time, I ain't
- 37:56Speaker 1: got no problem where she did, because you know what, man,
- 37:58Speaker 1: Sometimes man, people just gets Sickoday. Here's a girl trying
- 38:01Speaker 1: to do something helpful for somebody, and then you snap
- 38:04Speaker 1: with some racial tirade because you ignorant. You know, sometimes
- 38:09Speaker 1: man just ignos me whatever. Man, All right? Coming up
- 38:13Speaker 1: at thirty four after the hour, Supreme Court justices are
- 38:17Speaker 1: split over the termination of the Dreamers. The DOCCER program.
- 38:20Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 38:23Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, and trending national
- 38:29Speaker 1: news that Supreme Court justices appeared split on Tuesday on
- 38:32Speaker 1: whether to allow the Trump administration to end the Deferred
- 38:36Speaker 1: Action for Childhood Arrivals, in other words, the DOCER program
- 38:40Speaker 1: and Obama era policy that protects the nearly seven hundred
- 38:43Speaker 1: thousand young immigrants from deportation. Supreme Court justices with the
- 38:47Speaker 1: courts conservative majority, indicated that the Trump administration provided enough
- 38:52Speaker 1: justification and ending the program. More liberal justices, including Ruth
- 38:57Speaker 1: Bader Ginsburg and Sonja Soda Mayor, question the rationale for
- 39:02Speaker 1: ending the program and probed whether the White House appropriately
- 39:05Speaker 1: considered how this would affect the doctor recipients and their families, employers,
- 39:09Speaker 1: educational institutions, and communities. I mean, what is really going
- 39:14Speaker 1: on here, Steve? I mean this is crazy? You know.
- 39:17Speaker 1: You know what, this administration has a really really bad
- 39:25Speaker 1: case of if I destroy and talk about you enough,
- 39:29Speaker 1: it'll make me look better. They just have a bad
- 39:33Speaker 1: case of that. You know this right here, they've been
- 39:36Speaker 1: holding these young kids and all these recipients of DOCCA
- 39:40Speaker 1: hostage since this administration started, they've been holding these people
- 39:44Speaker 1: hostage as a political tool to get what they want.
- 39:48Speaker 1: It was the wall. If you don't give me the wall,
- 39:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna give you, Docca. If you give me
- 39:54Speaker 1: the wall, I let them stay. All of this is that, man,
- 39:58Speaker 1: It's just a hateful society that we have. It's a
- 40:01Speaker 1: hateful administration that we have. They're not here to work
- 40:04Speaker 1: with anybody. They're not extending their hand across the aisle.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It's come in and refute, repeal everything that Obama has done,
- 40:14Speaker 1: so to try to eradicate all the great things he did.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Because Obama did a lot of great things, but he's
- 40:21Speaker 1: trying to get that stuff erased from the record books
- 40:24Speaker 1: so nobody will know how great of a president he was.
- 40:27Speaker 1: But what he does not understands that history will bad
- 40:31Speaker 1: the truth when this is all said and done, that
- 40:34Speaker 1: Barack Obama was one of the great presidents in the
- 40:37Speaker 1: history of this country, if not the greatest, and Donald
- 40:41Speaker 1: Trump would go down as one of the worst. It's
- 40:43Speaker 1: gonna all come out. Oh yeah, yeah, I believe that. Yeah.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Like you said, Steve, President Barack Obama created the DOCA
- 40:51Speaker 1: program back in twenty twelve. He wanted to shield these
- 40:54Speaker 1: young immigrants brought to the US illegally as children from deportation,
- 40:58Speaker 1: and immigrants who who meet certain qualifications are given protection
- 41:02Speaker 1: for two years and are also granted authorization to work
- 41:05Speaker 1: in the US. The Supreme Court's opinion is expected next year,
- 41:09Speaker 1: just months before the twenty twenty election. How timely. Uh.
- 41:16Speaker 1: And it's just like Steve said, it's just like this.
- 41:19Speaker 1: It's almost like a game, a political game. But you
- 41:21Speaker 1: know they're going to use this issue to talk about
- 41:24Speaker 1: immigration for the election. Right. It's just a yeah, you know.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And the sad thing about this is this, this base
- 41:38Speaker 1: that everybody keeps talking about. This is what's alarming about
- 41:42Speaker 1: this country. This is what's really alarming, this so called
- 41:47Speaker 1: Trump base, because all I'm seeing is a group of
- 41:52Speaker 1: people who is allowing him to do anything he wants
- 41:57Speaker 1: to do, get away with anything. I mean, first of all,
- 42:02Speaker 1: to have this man as an example for your children,
- 42:06Speaker 1: ask what a president should be that right there? I'm sorry, man,
- 42:11Speaker 1: I don't know who could say this is who I
- 42:14Speaker 1: want my child to grow up to be like Donald Trump?
- 42:17Speaker 1: And then reveal what everything he is. Okay, so you
- 42:21Speaker 1: want him to be patriotic, but don't pay no taxes.
- 42:25Speaker 1: You want him to jump through loopholes. You want him
- 42:28Speaker 1: to surround and hire himself with people who are in prison.
- 42:33Speaker 1: You want him to not have a heart for other people,
- 42:37Speaker 1: not to show compassion for his fellow man. You want
- 42:40Speaker 1: him to never have served people, but you want them
- 42:44Speaker 1: to then turn around and try to lead and guide people.
- 42:47Speaker 1: So you want your son to grow up to have
- 42:51Speaker 1: relationships with porn stars and parade playboy or bunnies around
- 42:55Speaker 1: his house that his current wife lives in. That's okay
- 42:59Speaker 1: with you. I'm sorry man that base something's wrong with that.
- 43:03Speaker 1: I couldn't agree with you, Marty. All right, you can
- 43:06Speaker 1: post your comments on this story about DACA at Steve
- 43:09Speaker 1: Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Coming up, Junior is
- 43:12Speaker 1: in for the nephew once again with today's prank phone
- 43:15Speaker 1: call coming up right after this. Huh. You're listening to
- 43:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming up at the
- 43:24Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after it's
- 43:26Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today's subjects. He wants to keep
- 43:29Speaker 1: it in the family. All right, Uh yeah, wow, all right,
- 43:35Speaker 1: wait till you hear not really cool. But yeah, wait
- 43:38Speaker 1: till you hear this letter. He wants to keep it
- 43:39Speaker 1: in the family. Right now, Junior is in for the
- 43:41Speaker 1: nephew who is out because he got his roller coaster
- 43:44Speaker 1: cuff as we were calling it yesterday operated on. Yeah,
- 43:48Speaker 1: he's posted coast right now. Yeah, prayers going out to
- 43:52Speaker 1: nephew anyway, that's right, that's right. Anyway, today's prank phone
- 43:59Speaker 1: called Junior's out of Junior? What you got channel? You know, Shirley, Yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: you know, uh Vin Nandy and people go crazy, you know.
- 44:10Speaker 1: So today's prankis Calvin doesn't lost his mind. Oh, I'm
- 44:17Speaker 1: gonna see it again. Calvin doesn't lost his mind. Run
- 44:21Speaker 1: a cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a bree Please.
- 44:27Speaker 1: This is hi Brady. This is offer on the Dallas
- 44:30Speaker 1: Police Department. Okay, I wanted to give you a call. Man.
- 44:34Speaker 1: We have your husband, mister Calvin. Is there any way
- 44:39Speaker 1: you can actually come down to the police station today? Calvin?
- 44:46Speaker 1: Is he Calvin? Okay? We have Calvin. He's been picked
- 44:52Speaker 1: up for a Class C mister demeanor, and I wanted
- 44:56Speaker 1: to see if you're able to pick him up. We're
- 44:58Speaker 1: not going to press charges. There is a two hundred
- 45:00Speaker 1: and fifty dollars fine that needs to be paid. But
- 45:02Speaker 1: where I'm giving you a call? He asked me to
- 45:05Speaker 1: call his wife to see if you would actually come
- 45:06Speaker 1: and pick him up. So it's a two hundred and
- 45:09Speaker 1: fifty dollars fine and do something as I get there. Yes,
- 45:13Speaker 1: we do need two hundred and fifty dollar five. Okay, lord,
- 45:16Speaker 1: because I don't I don't have it. I'm not to
- 45:18Speaker 1: call this mom and get it. What is he there for? Uh?
- 45:22Speaker 1: He was in decent exposure, ma'am. He was in a park.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Are you familiar with Lakeside Park? Yeah? Okay, he was
- 45:29Speaker 1: out at Lakeside Park and he was in decent exposure.
- 45:32Speaker 1: He had no clothes on. He was with another person,
- 45:36Speaker 1: another female, out there, and they had no clothes on.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Wait a minute, hole, the hell up? You up had
- 45:43Speaker 1: make a big mistake because Calvin supposed to h work.
- 45:46Speaker 1: That's what hell Calvin's supposed to be. It's not a car,
- 45:50Speaker 1: So you saying that you saw him wet car, it's
- 45:56Speaker 1: not a detective. That was actually police officer man that
- 45:58Speaker 1: actually brought them in there. We're brought in here, um
- 46:02Speaker 1: about two hours ago. He's been processed. He has been processed,
- 46:06Speaker 1: but we need somebody to actually come pick him up
- 46:08Speaker 1: now and take this get Okay, well, tell me what
- 46:11Speaker 1: are the two of the females. What's the female name?
- 46:13Speaker 1: Is ya'all risker too with him? She has been arrested.
- 46:17Speaker 1: She's actually on the other side of the jail. She's
- 46:19Speaker 1: on the woman women's side. Okay, can you get in
- 46:22Speaker 1: that name. I do not have her name in front
- 46:24Speaker 1: of me. I will be able to have that a
- 46:26Speaker 1: little later or um, but right now, I think more importantly,
- 46:29Speaker 1: he's he's actually sitting in a holding tank with with
- 46:32Speaker 1: no clothes on. So I wait a minute, I mean
- 46:34Speaker 1: Calvin then lost his gout nine. I'm not coming to
- 46:38Speaker 1: pick him up on. Let me tell you what you
- 46:41Speaker 1: need to be killing Calvin. You need to tell Calvin
- 46:44Speaker 1: that he needs to come up with two hundred and
- 46:46Speaker 1: fifty dollars to get you just gotta sit over and
- 46:49Speaker 1: any need to come up with some more money to
- 46:51Speaker 1: take for this divorce because I'm handing him these papers
- 46:54Speaker 1: and you killing him. Yea, yeah, I'll do us all.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna call his mom and she can come get this.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I know well, Tavin ever walk this clothes down the
- 47:03Speaker 1: way he gets this one. Bro, if I got to
- 47:08Speaker 1: see that, you know that's what they're taken now, you
- 47:11Speaker 1: know what. Yeah, we'll calling this mom and I'm gonna
- 47:13Speaker 1: tell she's gonna believe me because I wanted to bring
- 47:15Speaker 1: her down. She always on his side. To see, she
- 47:18Speaker 1: always on his side, So I want to take her
- 47:21Speaker 1: on the fair fetus from with his head up that
- 47:23Speaker 1: naked and then and then and then she let him
- 47:26Speaker 1: explain that. Yeah, but yeah, you kill him perfect and
- 47:29Speaker 1: make sure you tell him that I said. Then you
- 47:32Speaker 1: get him something about the situation. I'm not coming to
- 47:35Speaker 1: get him and he ain't bringing it. Thank you, M
- 47:38Speaker 1: bringing up he wants. Okay, Uh, miss miss Breed, all right,
- 47:43Speaker 1: I just got some paperwork in here about who the
- 47:47Speaker 1: actual female he he was arrested with. She was also
- 47:51Speaker 1: out there at Lakeside Park and uh, let's see here.
- 47:57Speaker 1: It seems like we gotta miss Francis Francis. Uh who Francis? You?
- 48:09Speaker 1: Should you found a Francis Nike? Yes, ma'am? Are you?
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm sorry? Do you know a Francis? Yes, I'm a Francis.
- 48:16Speaker 1: That's my sister. Okay, Well, can I say something else
- 48:22Speaker 1: about your sister. Can I tell you this? Go ahead?

- 48:50Speaker 1: damn well, Cavin wasn't up there naked. He's not doing
- 48:53Speaker 1: it like that. I mean, they don't even really get along.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I mean, I'm like, is that what I'm all about? Really?
- 49:00Speaker 1: I ain't gotta kind of follow this. I'm gonna get

- 50:43Speaker 1: What was a cop and a club and Arkansas? He
- 50:46Speaker 1: was naked and he was drunk. He had dance floor

- 52:50Speaker 1: read this one right here right now today. All right,
- 52:53Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Strawberry letter. Well,
- 52:56Speaker 1: my good friend Shirley straw Verry, thank you, kier Jor.
- 53:00Speaker 1: All right, here we go. Subject he wants to keep
- 53:02Speaker 1: it in the family. Dear Stephen, Shirley, I have been
- 53:06Speaker 1: married for seven years and we have two young children.
- 53:09Speaker 1: After having my second child, my desire to have sex
- 53:13Speaker 1: decreased and it was a big problem in my marriage.
- 53:16Speaker 1: My husband is a great dad and my best friend,
- 53:19Speaker 1: so I felt bad for him. I started back having
- 53:24Speaker 1: sex with him, but I was never really into it
- 53:27Speaker 1: like I had been in the past. I confided in
- 53:29Speaker 1: my sister because she has a newborn too. Her child's
- 53:33Speaker 1: father broke up with her while she was pregnant, so
- 53:36Speaker 1: she's going through her own issues. I wanted to support
- 53:39Speaker 1: my sister, so I told her to go out with
- 53:41Speaker 1: her girls and I would babysit for her. I let
- 53:44Speaker 1: her borrow my car and gave her a little extra cash.
- 53:47Speaker 1: My sister came back to my house at a reasonable hour,
- 53:51Speaker 1: but I was asleep, so my husband let her in.
- 53:54Speaker 1: She was supposed to stay overnight at my house, but
- 53:57Speaker 1: she didn't. I called her to see why she left,
- 54:01Speaker 1: and she started crying. She told me that my husband
- 54:05Speaker 1: greeted her at the door in his bathrobe and invited
- 54:08Speaker 1: her to sit and have a drink with him. She's
- 54:11Speaker 1: not drinking because she's nursing, so she told him no.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Thank you, She said. He told her that he has
- 54:17Speaker 1: always wanted her and that he wanted to spend a
- 54:20Speaker 1: little time with her. She told him that I was
- 54:25Speaker 1: right near them in my bed, and he assured her
- 54:27Speaker 1: that I wouldn't mind because I'm not able to fulfill
- 54:30Speaker 1: his sexual needs. My heart was shattered, and my sister
- 54:34Speaker 1: felt violated. When I confront at my sister, I mean
- 54:37Speaker 1: my husband. When I confront at my husband, he said
- 54:40Speaker 1: it was just a joke because he had been drinking
- 54:42Speaker 1: all night. I haven't decided how to handle him and
- 54:45Speaker 1: this situation. As I stated, I have two young children
- 54:49Speaker 1: to consider. He says it will never happen again. But
- 54:52Speaker 1: now my sister will not come anywhere near me, my
- 54:54Speaker 1: house or my kids. Do you think this is something
- 54:57Speaker 1: I can overlook? What should I do? Please help? Well,
- 55:00Speaker 1: first of all, you don't have to do anything, Okay,
- 55:04Speaker 1: you didn't. You didn't make this situation. They did they
- 55:07Speaker 1: need to fix this? You know, you left a major
- 55:11Speaker 1: part of the story out. You left us to assume
- 55:13Speaker 1: and conclude that they slept together because you said your
- 55:16Speaker 1: sister started crying and she felt violated, and now she
- 55:21Speaker 1: won't come near you, your home or your kids. I
- 55:24Speaker 1: just think this is this is really really sad that
- 55:26Speaker 1: they had to take it here. And no, absolutely not.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Should you overlook this? You ask, is this something you
- 55:33Speaker 1: can overlook? No, you know, this isn't anything you can overlook.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Your sister, she's always going to be your sister. You're
- 55:39Speaker 1: married to this man, who you know you didn't say,
- 55:44Speaker 1: but we're left to assume violated your sister in some
- 55:48Speaker 1: form or fashion, even if you and your husband were
- 55:53Speaker 1: having trouble sexually, for him to go to your sister,
- 55:57Speaker 1: I mean, it's just unthinkable. You were betrayed by both
- 56:00Speaker 1: of them. You know, she told me that you said,
- 56:05Speaker 1: she told you that your husband greeted her at the
- 56:08Speaker 1: door in his bathrobe. Okay, that was wrong right there,
- 56:11Speaker 1: and told her he's always wanted her. Really, this is
- 56:17Speaker 1: so wrong on so many levels. What should you do?
- 56:22Speaker 1: You know, yeah, you have two kids to consider, but
- 56:24Speaker 1: you know, if you divorce him because he did this
- 56:27Speaker 1: to your sister. I'm assuming you did leave that out,
- 56:30Speaker 1: but it sounds like he did. You know, you'll be okay.
- 56:35Speaker 1: You'll be a single mom for a while, but you
- 56:37Speaker 1: sound like a really good person, especially the way you
- 56:39Speaker 1: treated your sister. You'll be okay. Sounds like you have
- 56:43Speaker 1: a little postpartum going on, a lot of women suffer
- 56:46Speaker 1: from this after they have babies, so you might want
- 56:48Speaker 1: to get that checked out medically and deal with the
- 56:52Speaker 1: rest of this stuff after you take care of yourself.
- 56:55Speaker 1: That is my advice to you. Steve Well, it's a
- 56:58Speaker 1: crazy head. Well, let's just start with the bottom of
- 57:01Speaker 1: the letter, which I very rarely do. But the question
- 57:05Speaker 1: is do you think this is something I can overlook?
- 57:08Speaker 1: What should I do? Please help? Well, lady, do your
- 57:14Speaker 1: awful calm about this? That was no. I was furious
- 57:18Speaker 1: in the letter. I snapped and went off, you're just
- 57:21Speaker 1: trying to figure ideal with him. Later my sister won't
- 57:24Speaker 1: come over and talk to me. You're the calmest person
- 57:28Speaker 1: that this has ever ever happened to. Now, with that
- 57:33Speaker 1: out the way, it's so much in this letter that
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't make no damn sense. But then it do you
- 57:40Speaker 1: know you had sex? I mean you used to have
- 57:42Speaker 1: sex regularly. I'm assuming that, Shirley said throughout her response
- 57:46Speaker 1: that she's assuming something happened. And you left this out
- 57:50Speaker 1: to me. You ain't lead nothing out, you didn't type it.
- 57:54Speaker 1: But it's all in hell, So let's go. You used
- 57:57Speaker 1: to have sex with your husband. I guess you enjoyed.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Y'all got the second baby, you stopped having desires for
- 58:02Speaker 1: your husband. You felt really bad for him. Then you
- 58:04Speaker 1: started having sex with him again, and then you wasn't
- 58:07Speaker 1: really into it and it had an effect on your marriage.
- 58:10Speaker 1: So then you told your sister about it, because she
- 58:13Speaker 1: got a new born too. Now her baby daddy then
- 58:17Speaker 1: left Hull, so she ain't got the same problem. You
- 58:21Speaker 1: got two totally different problems. You having trouble sexually getting
- 58:26Speaker 1: back into it. She ain't got nobody to get into
- 58:29Speaker 1: it with. See two totally separate problems. You told her
- 58:37Speaker 1: sister about it. She got her own issue, so you
- 58:40Speaker 1: wanted to help her. You told her to go out
- 58:42Speaker 1: with her girls, and you was gonna babysit for him,
- 58:45Speaker 1: and you gave a little cash. Then your sister came
- 58:49Speaker 1: back to your house at a reasonable hour, but she
- 58:52Speaker 1: was sleep. Your husband let her in. She was supposed
- 58:57Speaker 1: to stay overnight at the house, but she didn't. That's
- 59:01Speaker 1: when all the hell broke loose. When we come back,
- 59:05Speaker 1: I would discuss Shirley thinking that the man was wrong
- 59:08Speaker 1: for coming to the door with the bathrob on, and
- 59:10Speaker 1: a couple of other things. Right after all right, hang
- 59:14Speaker 1: onto your response, Steve. We'll have it coming up part
- 59:16Speaker 1: two at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 59:20Speaker 1: Letters subject he wants to keep it in the family.
- 59:22Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 59:26Speaker 1: Steven show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 59:30Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject he wants to keep it in the family. Well,
- 59:34Speaker 1: this lady had a good marriage man to her best
- 59:36Speaker 1: friend seven years and had two kids, and then after
- 59:39Speaker 1: the second kid, she lost her desire to have sex
- 59:43Speaker 1: created a problem in the family that marriage. She fell
- 59:46Speaker 1: started for him since she fell starry for him, starting
- 59:49Speaker 1: to having sex with him again, but she wasn't really
- 59:53Speaker 1: into it. She was talking to her sister and confided
- 59:57Speaker 1: at her sister who had just had an born at
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: two and then but her child's father broke up with her.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: So we have two separate problems. We got a problem
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: with you, the writer of this letter, a woman who
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: don't like having sex with her man, and your sister
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: who can't have sex because she ain't got no man. Okay,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: these are two situations we're dealing with him. Okay. So
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: you told her to support her, didn't you was gonna
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: have a go out with the girls, and you babysit
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: page card gave a little lecture. Cash. Sister came back
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: to your house at a reasonable out, but you were asleep,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: so your husband let her in. This world all went
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: down that the husband let her in. She was supposed
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: to stay overnight at your house, but she didn't. Then
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you called her to ask why she left. As soon
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: as you said that, she started crying, I ain't going.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Why are you calling me? Why are you? Why are
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: you calling? You mustn't know what I did. You know
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: what I did? Okay. So she bust out crying and
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: then told you that your husband greeting her at the
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: dough in his bathrobe and invited her to sit and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: have a drink with him. Now, Shirley said in her
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: response that the man was wrong for coming to the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: door with the bathrowbone. I don't see where he's wrong.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: And then you got bathrowbone at your house. You go
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to the door when the dobell ring. I've been to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: my dough many times with a bathrobe. Here go the problem, dough,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: sit and have a drink with him. Now I don't know.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: And then you said she's not drinking because she's nursing.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: So she told him no, thank you. Now right here,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you know what that means. She ain't drunk. She ain't
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: been drinking at the club cause she nursing. He invited
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: an end to have a drink. She ain't drinking. Then,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: So how we got to this situation? Everybody is clear, everybody.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: He ain't drunk, she ain't drunk. Everybody is clear. So
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: now she told him no thank you cause she clear.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: She said. He told her that he's always wanted her
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: right there. Yeah, I don't understand how you having this
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: conversation while she in the house. Your wife is in
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: the house. I don't even know how you having this conversation,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: but you did. I don't know how she listening to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: the conversation, but she did, and that he always wanted
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: her to spend a little special time with her. Then
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: she told him that he was right near them in
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: my bed, and he assured, now, your sister is clear now,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: so she must have wanted him too, because guess what
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: she said. My sister in there, she gonna hear us.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: He assured you that you wouldn't mind because you ain't
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: able to fulfill his sexual needs. My heart was shuttered,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: and my sister felt violated. What your sister felt felt violated?
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Why so when you call it, she started crying and
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: she went it did it? You ain't gonna leave what
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: he did to me? No? No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: no no no. Seems like everything was consensual. Now, your sister,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: through her tears, says he violated me. Now, if he
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: violated her for real, then these has charges. We have
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: a whole nother problem. If he forced him himself but
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: violated in this letter, I don't know exactly what that means.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: So I'm gonna just stay away from that. Let's just
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: say they had something sexual happened. Okay. When I confronted
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: my husband, he said it was just a job. Girl. Girl.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Come on, now, what a girl? You crazy? Oh? Look
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: you you're talking about last night. Girl. I don't take crazy. Okay,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: she came in here and we're just joking. I slept one.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's real funny. I have not decided how
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: to handle him in this situation as I stayed there.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I have two kids. What the two kids got to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: do with this handling this situation. Somebody should have been
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: cussed out, somebody should have got jumped on. And it's
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: just a matter of who you was cussing and jumping
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: on first. Now sister will come over at all, be
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: around you are the kids because she'd established your hus
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I don't know what they are, all right? Listen. You
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: can post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: HARVEYFM on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand now coming up at forty six
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: after the hour, Kanye West is on the move again.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: He'll be at Lakewood Church in Houston this coming Sunday.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Kanye West will be a
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: special guest at Pastor Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church this Sunday
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: at eleven am. That's the time of the service in Houston.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Kanye will be eight. We'll have a twenty to thirty
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: minute conversation with Pastor Joel Osteen. Multiple news outlets are
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: reporting that Pastor Joel wants his congregation, which stands at
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: about forty five thousand strong and his TV audience, which
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: stands at ten million in the US alone, to hear
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: how Kanye has overcome significant adversity in his life. Also,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Kanye will be performing with his choir during an evening service,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: so that should be good, you know what. I actually,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I'm very, very supportive of Kanye in this move. And
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: here's the deal, the way I look at it, you know,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I know, I know he's catching a lot of flak
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: because it's controversial because people think of some of his
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: actions do not measure up or make him worthy of
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the adolation, of the adolation he's getting for this album
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: because of some of his other actions. But I disagree
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: with that. I think that we are all flawed human beings.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I think that we are all trying to get it right.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: And I applaud Kanye for trying to get it right,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: just like I'm trying to get it right. But to
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: be honest, just like, ain't we all trying to get
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: it right here every single anybody. Can anybody claim perfection here?
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Can anybody sit up here and act like they on
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: this whole high horse they don't make mistakes and then
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: they ain't had lapses of judgment in their life. I
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: think no, man, I think this dude is on his
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: own track. Man. And you may not like some of
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: the things he said, but I'm guilty of that myself.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: But I just applaud what he's doing. I really do. Well.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I don't know how long it well if he'll be
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: invited back to New Birth, the Missionary Baptist Church anytime soon.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: You heard what Pastor Jamal Bryant said. Uh, he said
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: he loves Kanye between the songs. Uh this viral video
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: that was who that was? Yeah that was Pastor j Bryant. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: he said to say that you unashamedly uh support Donald Trump.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: He called the mother Uh Continent of Africa a collection
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: of as nations smacking the entire diaspora in the year
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: of the advantage of the anniversary of the Year of
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: the Return. I don't align with the statements of Kanye West.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I don't endorse it, nor do I subscribe to it.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: And I am not a runaway slave. To that end,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: mister West made a significant donation to New Birth Cathedral,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: but I do not want to be guilty of double speech.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I met with my team today and the donation that
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: he made to our church, I am now redirecting. I
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: am going to be giving that donation he gave to
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Maurice Brown College. Wow. Coming up at the top of
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the hour, we'll discuss more. I think Steve, you have
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: more to say on this whole Kanye situation, So we'll
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: talk about Kanye a little more at the top of
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show Steve
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: you wanted to say one more thing about Kanye. You
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: had some more thoughts on the Kanye West situation. Look,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: you know, I'm not taking sides here. I think that
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: everybody has the right to feel how they want to feel,
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: So I'm not passing judgment on a way a person feels.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I will say this though, Uh, it's hard for a
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: lot of people when you talk about the love of
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: God and then you support a person who doesn't exhibit
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: those qualities. You know what I mean. It's it's such
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: a hateful administration that we have right now. We have
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: such a ministration that's feel with deceit and and and
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: so many lies, and so much corruption, and and and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: so much man just dogging people out. Uh, you know,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: it's hard to support that type of rhetoric and that person.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: You know, as you as you claim the traits and
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: the teachings of Jesus Christ that that's that's it's kind
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: of a hard tugue. So I do understand. I do
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: definitely understand where people are coming from with that. At
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: the same time, I think Kanye is new to this,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: you know, a newborn Christian or whatever the phrase is
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you might want to use, I don't know. And in
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: this there is a development that has to happen in
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: a person and you have to come into better being
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: a better person. You know, we all know that God
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: ain't through it as yet. So I think that we're
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: all faced with this battle of trying and become better
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: and better as people. I don't think he's at his
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: best yet. I certainly not at my best yet. I'm trying,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: but I ain't, And so I just think we have
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: to be a little bit conscious. So I think it
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: is kind of sending a double message. You know. I'm
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: happy for Kanye that he's finding his way spiritually. But
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: when you make statements about black people, about or Democrats
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: being slaves to welfare and things of that nature, that's
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: not a true statement. That's not a true statement at all.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Hate to tell you this, but there are Republicans on welfare.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: You cannot make statements about slavery, and you're not being
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: well read and well versed. And because you have the
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: ability to stand and say the things that you're saying
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: right now, it's because our ancestors died for us to
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: have this freedom of speech that we have today, and
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: we got to always honor them in everything we do
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: because they're the reasons we exist today. That I just
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: wanted to say that about the Kanye situation because I
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: understand that people as coming out against him, I really
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: really do. At the same time, you know, I want
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: to keep applauding a brother for you know, trying to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: get his life together spiritually. You know, it's better to
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: be a news for this than what he was in
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: the news for, so the change is actually happening. I
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: just don't think he's as well read and well versed
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: on history and politics as he should be. Anybody agree
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: or disagree. Yeah, now I hear what you're saying. I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: agree with that. Yeah, that last thing for sure. Yeah yeah.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: And part of Kanye's thing is he's misunderstood too. I
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: think he means well, he just doesn't articulate it, you know. Yeah,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I do think he means well. But anyway, it was
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: just like Steve said, you know, he's not fully If
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: you're not educated on the particular subjects and information that
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: you're talking about, especially when he comes to history and
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: our heritage and our people, you know, you just can't
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: fire off. Yeah, yeah, opinion. Yeah, yeah, I think he
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: deeply cares. You know, he's a deeply caring person. He
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: has a heart and all of that. But it's just misplaced.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: You know. Slavery was not an option yet. No, it
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: wasn't a choice. It wasn't it. So you can't say that.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: You know, man, you gotta be a bit more conscious.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: But once again, when you thank you deeper than you are, Yes, yes,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: you know, I can't take all that deepness anyway, too
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: deep for the room. All right, listen, coming up, more music,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: more fun, more deep stuff. On the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: At twenty minutes after the hour we're too deep. Oh Steve,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you're too deep, baby, You're too deep. You're listening to
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: show all right. President Trump's Walk of Fame star has
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: fallen under attack from yet another angry American. In broad daylight,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: no less. The suspect casually approached the Hollywood Boulevards star
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: on Tuesday morning. She reached into her bag, pulled out
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: what appears to be white spray paint, and then painted
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Putin's b words on the Star Junior. She was in
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: and out in just seconds. Police are investigating, shen't. People
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: don't like you affiliation with with Vladimir Putin and the
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: whole Russian connection. They don't like it. There are a
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: lot of Americans who are very uncomfortable with that situation,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: and I guess she was one of them, and she
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: decided to let it be known well. In other trending news,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: two game show hosts are battling some serious issues. This
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: is a some sat news here. Alex Trebec of Jeopardy, Yeah,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: pancreatic cancer of course, and Pat say Check of a
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Wheel of Fortune. We talked about this yesterday. Had surgery
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: on a blocked in testine, but Pat said the worst
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: is behind him. And he will be back if Van
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: of White doesn't take over. And we are still praying
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: for Alex Trebek. He had go in for more chemo.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: And we set all that to say, Steve host a
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: family feud, Keep it healthy, baby, take care of yourself,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: keep it healthy yourself. Where are you talking about? Marva's
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right and trending national news
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: and Supreme Court justices appeared split on Tuesday on whether
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: to allow the Trump administration to end the Deferred Action
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: for Childhood Arrivals in other words, the DOCCER program and
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Obama era policy that protects the nearly seven hundred thousand
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: young immigrants from deportation. Supreme Court justices with the courts
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: conservative majority, indicated that the Trump administration provided enough justification
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and ending the program. More liberal justices, including Ruth Bader
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Ginsburg and Sonja Soda Mayor, question the rationale for ending
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: the program and probed whether the White House appropriately considered
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: how this would affect the DOCTA recipients and their families, employers,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: educational institutions and communities. I mean, what is really going
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: on here, Steve? I mean this is grateful. You know.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: You know what, this administration has a really really bad
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: case of if I destroy and talk about you enough,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: it'll make me look better. They just have a bad
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: case of that. You know this right here. They've been
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: holding these young kids and all these recipients of DOCCA
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: hostage since this administration started. They've been holding these people
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: hostage as a political tool to get what they want.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: It was the wall. If you don't give me the wall,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I'm not gonna give you DOCCA. If you give me
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: the wall, I let them stay. All of this is that, man,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: It's just a hateful society that we have. It's a
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: hateful administration that we have. They're not here to work
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: with anybody. They're not extending their hand across the aisle.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: It's come in and refute, repeal everything that Obama has done,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: so to try to eradicate all the great things he did.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Because Obama did a lot of great things, but he's
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: trying to get that stuff erased from the record books
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: so nobody will know how great of a president he was.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: But what he does not understand is that history will
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: bear the truth when this is all said and done,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: that Barack Obama was one of the great presidents in
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the history of this country, if not the greatest, and
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump will go down as one of the worst.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: It's gonna all come out, all right. Coming up next,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: our last break of the day and some inspiring closing
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey. At forty
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour, right after this, you're listening
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: all right, Here we are our last break of the
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: day again. The nephew was out to day. He had
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: surgery on his rotator cuff, shoulder surgery. He's been putting
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: it out off, did he say yesterday, Junior for seven years? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: So he finally went and had it done yesterday. We
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: don't know how he did it, though, What do you
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: mean how you toured? We don't know. He doesn't know.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: He don't play sports. Yeah, he doesn't know. His son
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: blocked his jump shot. We're praying for a speedy recovery
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: for your nephew though, Steve, Yes, you can go ahead.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I'm turning, you know, let me let me say this
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: in my closing remarks, you know, and I'm probably gonna
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: be all over the place with this one, because I
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: want to talk about a few subjects. Uh. Kanye West
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: should be applauded for his uh change, his evolution as
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: a person, him trying to get it right and I'm
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: trying to inspire others with a with a with a
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: spiritual message. So I think he has to be applauded
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: for that. I think what people have to take away
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: from this, you know, and sometimes when people are talking,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: you gotta take I look, look, man, there's nobody out
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: there that's perfect. But we're in the public. Man. We
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: have to be super super careful because people scrutinize every
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: single word and every time you open your mouth. Uh,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: it's not just a blog, but it can very very
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: easily become a press conference. And so I think, man,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: those of us that have a fame attached to our name,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: we have a little bit of extra scrutiny attached to it.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: And it is it is just is the way it is.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: So in that comes with a certain amount of responsibility
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: because we are I think we have to be very
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: very conscious because we have people's attention and we just
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: have to be well versed about what we're talking about
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: and we got to be conscious that we are talking
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: and sending the message to the people who aided us
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: along the way. You know, we've got to have messaging
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: out there that helps those that are less fortunate. You know.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: I was once I was listening to Bishop Jakes had
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: a sermon, and I think I'm saying it right. It
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: was called intentionality, and the whole sermon was about a
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: person's true intentions. And what Bishop Jakes was saying in
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: his sermon that people judge you by your actions. God
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: judges you by your intent. How many times have all
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: of us did or said something that when it came
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: out or it went out, it kind of made us
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: look bad, you know, because you know, people tooking it,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: ran with it the other way. They judged our actions
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: to it. He went up there and he sat with him,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: and he met with him, and it just makes us
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: look so bad. But God judges us by the intent.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: God knows the reasoning for it, the reasoning for it.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I think that Kanye's spiritual change is a good change.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I think that some of the things he's saying has
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to be reviewed very carefully, because as we have this
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: notoriety attached to our name, and people can scrutinize everything
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: we say. We gotta be a little bit more factual,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: and so it's kind of hard when people are hearing
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: you talk about this change, but they seeing remnants of
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: something else. I guess I fall under that category. That's
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: why I'm a little bit patient with Kanye. I don't
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: like some of the things he says. I don't agree
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: with some of the stuff he says. But I guess
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to watch him because God ain't through with
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: him yet. He may evolve and become a better person.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: He may wake up and realize one day, wait a minute, man,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: this is not working out, and you know, could come
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: to task. So I think the lesson for all of
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: us is is that we are slowly becoming the person
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: that we should have been a long time ago. It
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: takes some of us longer to get to where we're
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: trying to get to than others. Some of us got
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: to take the long way around, some of us just
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: flat out hardheaded. So I'm being a little bit more
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: patient with brother Kanye because there is some real value
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: to what he's doing it in terms of spreading the
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: message of spirituality. I just think when you mix it
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: with politics, it can get a little ugly because politics
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: has such an ugly side to it. It really really does.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: And this current administration is filled with so much deceit,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: so much political posturing. We're holding up the lives of
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: doctor students. We want a wall build up, we want
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to ban traveling seven Muslim countries. We just do so
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: many things, man, that don't represent us as the American
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: people and the people that we really are. So I'm
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: just saying to everybody, let's just let's be a little
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: bit patient with him. You know, it's this, He's coming along.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I think he's making some mistakes, but ain't we all.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: And I think there's a lesson for all of us
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: to learn in this that as we are on our
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: own journey, that we will make mistakes. Our mistakes. A
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: lot of people's mistakes won't have the glare of the
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: spotlight in the microphone. But that's to add the responsibility
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: that comes with the person that has notoriety attached to
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: your name. And like I said, I knew I was
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: gonna be all over the place with this. I'm just saying,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I guess the bottom line, I'm gonna be a little
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: bit more patient with him. I love the music and
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: what he's doing, but you know, he's growing, and he's
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: just one vote. He's just really one guy, you know
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: what I mean. I think we have other work that
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: we contend to that would be a lot more effective.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: So if we would have just treat each other better
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: and if we would be a little bit more respectful
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: of one another, and I just think that's work for
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: all of us to do. And I don't think the
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: attension should be on Kanye West. He's just one person.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: What did that matter? Does he say he got one vote.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Let's just make your week old vote without one vote
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: and cast it the right way. Those are my clothes
