- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn You haven't got to turn them out
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn the water the water go. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your tha uh huh. I show will a good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man,
- 2:13Speaker 1: If if I had time enough to tell the whole trip,
- 2:17Speaker 1: the whole journey, and y'all would be sitting up in
- 2:20Speaker 1: there going okay to Steve, are we gonna play the
- 2:22Speaker 1: show this week? But man, it's been a lot of
- 2:26Speaker 1: amazing things has happened to me over the years, and
- 2:33Speaker 1: not all of them good. It's been some amazingly bad
- 2:37Speaker 1: things that have happened too. But I just come on
- 2:40Speaker 1: in the morning as a reminder to everybody of the
- 2:45Speaker 1: actual goodness of God, that you know, man, that these
- 2:48Speaker 1: mistakes that you're making, that these setbacks that you keep having,
- 2:54Speaker 1: that these falls that keep occurring in your life that
- 2:58Speaker 1: they all are leading you somewhere where if you just
- 3:00Speaker 1: don't ever give up. That's the key. You can never
- 3:05Speaker 1: ever give up because you don't know how the trip
- 3:10Speaker 1: has been laid out for you. You know, if somebody
- 3:13Speaker 1: had told me years ago when I had the dream
- 3:17Speaker 1: of being on TV and then I thought about being
- 3:20Speaker 1: a one of one of the best comedians I could be,
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know, when I when I started, somebody had told
- 3:27Speaker 1: me everything that was gonna have to happen in order
- 3:31Speaker 1: for me to get there, I would have changed it.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I would have I would have said, Okay, well I
- 3:38Speaker 1: ain't gonna be that. How about this? See and no
- 3:42Speaker 1: one can know all of the events of their life
- 3:45Speaker 1: ahead of time. You know, it'd be so nice, wouldn't it.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know, to prepare for it, see it coming, be
- 3:52Speaker 1: aware of the haters, always knowing when the backstabbing moment
- 3:57Speaker 1: is coming in your life, always know when you're gonna
- 4:00Speaker 1: get blindsided by the enemy. We are really great to
- 4:03Speaker 1: know that, wouldn't it. Well, that's not how it works.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So since no one knows exactly the challenges and the
- 4:13Speaker 1: pitfalls and the detools that's going to be set them,
- 4:18Speaker 1: it's it's it's imperative that you just don't give up
- 4:21Speaker 1: because see, knowing these things, we as human beings by nature,
- 4:29Speaker 1: would choose another route. But it ain't the route God
- 4:32Speaker 1: God for you, though. See the route God God for you.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If you if you're trying to do the right thing,
- 4:38Speaker 1: if you're doing the best you can, if you ain't
- 4:42Speaker 1: out here just intentionally just messing over, folks, if you're
- 4:46Speaker 1: using faith, and that's the belief in things that you
- 4:49Speaker 1: cannot see. If you have something on the inside of
- 4:52Speaker 1: you to keep saying there's got to be more to
- 4:54Speaker 1: life than that, then that's that's you. You, my friend,
- 4:59Speaker 1: have a great as hell. And if you've ever had
- 5:02Speaker 1: that feeling then gave up on it, just get it back,
- 5:05Speaker 1: just ask for it back, Just say, hey, man, I'm
- 5:08Speaker 1: getting back to the way I used to be because
- 5:11Speaker 1: there's a change that's available in your life. But you
- 5:15Speaker 1: gotta take it. You gotta take a shot at it. Folks.
- 5:18Speaker 1: There's a chance for you to get it right, but
- 5:21Speaker 1: you gotta take a shot at it. Folks. There's a
- 5:23Speaker 1: chance for you to turn this whole thing around with
- 5:26Speaker 1: God's help, but you gotta take a shot at it.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You See, this decision is yours. The decision to lay
- 5:33Speaker 1: down and give up, that's yours. It ain't. It just
- 5:36Speaker 1: got too hard for me. Life too much, man, Life
- 5:39Speaker 1: hard and too much for everybody. What I gotta get
- 5:43Speaker 1: you to see, my father used to always tell me.
- 5:45Speaker 1: He says, son, best lessons in life to born your
- 5:48Speaker 1: value and learn the most is a bout lesson. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: didn't quite understand that being young, but I showed God
- 5:55Speaker 1: it now ain't no lesson like a bout lesson. The
- 5:58Speaker 1: one you pay for. Those are the ones that hold
- 6:02Speaker 1: to you, that stick to you, that that that start
- 6:05Speaker 1: turning you into who you're gonna be. Those are the
- 6:08Speaker 1: character builders. See, you got to be forged to get
- 6:12Speaker 1: to where you want to go in life. So that's
- 6:14Speaker 1: what the challenges and missteps is for. That's what the
- 6:17Speaker 1: failing is about. Now, I know you don't like it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I didn't. I know you're not comfortable when I wouldn't.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I know you wish it was over sooner than later.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I always do. I always want it to be over
- 6:29Speaker 1: sooner than later, because the later manager seems like it's
- 6:33Speaker 1: so much I gotta go through. But let me tell
- 6:36Speaker 1: you something, man, if you can if you can forge
- 6:40Speaker 1: your way through it and understand that you are forged
- 6:43Speaker 1: in life. I don't know. I was on TBN one
- 6:47Speaker 1: time when I was doing one of my motivational speeches,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and I began to wonder about this experience I had.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It Ford Motor Company and my last job after the
- 6:59Speaker 1: auto industry started going down, my last job was in
- 7:02Speaker 1: the fountry and my job was to stand at the
- 7:07Speaker 1: end almost where the engines first come out of the furnace. See,
- 7:12Speaker 1: the engines are poured into a mold. It's hot, melted
- 7:16Speaker 1: down metal whatever they call it, lava or whatever. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: poured into a mole and it goes into this furnace
- 7:23Speaker 1: that's extremely hot. And my job was after the heat
- 7:28Speaker 1: was applied to the engine block, it would come through
- 7:33Speaker 1: and it would go through a hardening stage. But the
- 7:35Speaker 1: way it was hardening, they would cool it. Suddenly they
- 7:38Speaker 1: would flush it with water. It was just blast water
- 7:41Speaker 1: on it. But the fire and the high temperature is
- 7:45Speaker 1: what made the engine block solidified. It's because it's gotta
- 7:50Speaker 1: get real hot, get melted down first, then it's gotta
- 7:54Speaker 1: get poured into a mole. Then it's gotta be pressured
- 7:58Speaker 1: hit with water and all it and then it could
- 8:01Speaker 1: and it's real hot. Now it's still hot even though
- 8:03Speaker 1: there's water been shutter. But when it comes out the
- 8:06Speaker 1: end of the side, there's a lot of flashing in it.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And flashing is a metal from that didn't dripped through
- 8:11Speaker 1: the cast molding on it, just like flecks of extra
- 8:15Speaker 1: pieces of metal. My job was to hit this engine
- 8:20Speaker 1: block in the front, which is huge, heavy rubber mallet,
- 8:25Speaker 1: knock all the flashing off the front, and when it
- 8:28Speaker 1: came around back to bam, hit it real hard again
- 8:32Speaker 1: on the backside. And that became the core of what
- 8:37Speaker 1: the car is. A car without a great engine is nothing.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It's just a pretty looking vehicle over there. But if
- 8:44Speaker 1: it can't do what it was made to do because
- 8:46Speaker 1: the engine block then crack. So you can have a
- 8:49Speaker 1: car look real good, but if it freezes an engine
- 8:51Speaker 1: block crack your car, you can it's over man. You
- 8:54Speaker 1: gotta get a new block. The block is the core.
- 8:57Speaker 1: But in order for you for the car to do
- 8:59Speaker 1: it it's to do, it's got to have a strong
- 9:01Speaker 1: engine in it. In order for the engine to be strong,
- 9:04Speaker 1: it's got to be forged and steal come through fire
- 9:07Speaker 1: get poured in a mole, cooled off, heated, knocked around,
- 9:11Speaker 1: beat on the front end, beat on the back end.
- 9:14Speaker 1: In order for it to be what it's gonna be.
- 9:16Speaker 1: The maul of the story, folks, is you got to
- 9:19Speaker 1: get forged in fire to be what you gonna be.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You got to get beat up, you got to get
- 9:25Speaker 1: pressure washed, you got to have heat on you, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: gotta get melted down, you gotta get poured into a mole.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That's how you become who you are. So the tough
- 9:35Speaker 1: things that you're going through, the difficult challenges and the setbacks.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I know a brother who went to prison, man, And
- 9:41Speaker 1: the whole reason he ended up going to prison because
- 9:44Speaker 1: he was looking out the loop window, looking out in
- 9:46Speaker 1: the yard at him working out. And then the next thing,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you know, man, this brother decided that he was gonna
- 9:51Speaker 1: go out there and work out. Well, guess what, he's
- 9:55Speaker 1: one of the top trainers in country. Today. You're listening
- 9:59Speaker 1: morning show ladies, I'm not even gonna say, gentlemen, I'm
- 10:06Speaker 1: gonna just say, what's up dogs. For those of you
- 10:08Speaker 1: didn't understand that, I appreciate that. For those of you
- 10:11Speaker 1: that don't deal with it, grow up. Learn some slang.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It's okay. What's up? Dog is a term of endearment.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It don't mean that you're in four legged animal. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: did that to a guy one time. I'm not your dog,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I said. So let's not what that means stupid. Today
- 10:29Speaker 1: is a great day. Today is a great day because
- 10:32Speaker 1: God has allowed us to partake in it, and which
- 10:36Speaker 1: leads us to the old scripture that today is the
- 10:39Speaker 1: day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and
- 10:43Speaker 1: be glad in it. Shirley Strawberry collar for Rell the
- 10:47Speaker 1: mouth of the South of Mississippi, Monica Junior with sports
- 10:55Speaker 1: and questions about life and concerns and the future growing closer,
- 11:02Speaker 1: the legend that is left from tummy and what myself
- 11:09Speaker 1: and Junior? What is it today? Thought? Let's talk about
- 11:14Speaker 1: this uncle. You know, yesterday man, we talked about the
- 11:17Speaker 1: difference between disciplated sacrifice, which was really a great talk
- 11:23Speaker 1: you gave him. Yeah, but I want to thank the
- 11:26Speaker 1: Lord for giving me that at that particular moment too,
- 11:29Speaker 1: because I had never really sat down and worked through that.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But through God's grace and understanding the wisdom He's giving
- 11:36Speaker 1: me to enable me to talk that. So let's give
- 11:40Speaker 1: that credit to God. Now, okay, God, we'll hope he
- 11:43Speaker 1: can touch you about this too. Uh. Drive between drive
- 11:49Speaker 1: and ambition, because you don't have to need drive and ambition.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And once again they think these two are the same thing,
- 11:56Speaker 1: and I know they're not the same thing. When you
- 11:59Speaker 1: need drive an ambition, well they're very similar. But there's
- 12:04Speaker 1: kind of like what you talked about yesterday, sacrifice and discipline.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Ambition is the wanting aspect of it. I want this accomplished.
- 12:17Speaker 1: That's the ambition. There are ambitious people want something. I mean,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and it's usually used in a positive term. If you're ambitious,
- 12:28Speaker 1: that means you're striving for some form of success. It's
- 12:32Speaker 1: usually business, job, or money related. That's how they describe
- 12:37Speaker 1: ambitious people. Even if you're climbing the corporate letter, even
- 12:40Speaker 1: if you want a job at the post office. He's
- 12:42Speaker 1: just ambitious. He's always wanting a way to have more.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Drive is the engine that propels you to accomplish your ambitions.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Drive is will power. Drive is aggishness. Yeah, drive is hard.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Drive is just hard cold. I'm going forward. This is me.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I shall not be deterred. That's drive driving ambition two
- 13:16Speaker 1: different things. They are both required to accomplish the goal. Amen,
- 13:23Speaker 1: all right, coming up, coming up and managing me these
- 13:29Speaker 1: last two moments. I don't know why. I though, Oh,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it's coming back. Don't worry, you know, it's just right there.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Coming up. At thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:40Speaker 1: gonna run that prank back with the nephew. Right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening to show time now for the nephew to
- 13:49Speaker 1: run that prank back. Nephew? What you got for us today?
- 13:53Speaker 1: As you know last years bought me this glove. You
- 14:00Speaker 1: may have healing power. The title lives You married your brother,
- 14:08Speaker 1: You married your brother, cat dog. If you would hello, Hello,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach to your common police. This is
- 14:18Speaker 1: she Hi Carmen. My name is Keith. Keith. I'm calling
- 14:21Speaker 1: you from insurance group. Hi. How are you good? You
- 14:25Speaker 1: and your husband? What is it Harvey? Harvey? Is that right? Yes? Harvey? Okay,
- 14:31Speaker 1: you guys actually put applications and actually went in and
- 14:34Speaker 1: got your physicals done for Life insurance, right, yeah, yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: that's correct. Okay. I actually I'm calling you from the
- 14:40Speaker 1: insurance group. I have you alls live results and everything
- 14:43Speaker 1: as far as your physicals and blood cuts. And things
- 14:46Speaker 1: of that nature. Is there any way I could possibly
- 14:49Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time,
- 14:51Speaker 1: you and Harvey. Is that possible? Um? Well, sure, he's
- 14:54Speaker 1: at work right now, but I can get him on
- 14:56Speaker 1: the side. Okay, it will be Uh, it'd be kind
- 14:59Speaker 1: of about kind of explained everything to both of you
- 15:01Speaker 1: guys at the same time as if that's okay, okay,
- 15:04Speaker 1: so wrong? Uh No, nothing's wrong. I mean, I think
- 15:07Speaker 1: I need to just try to bring a few things
- 15:08Speaker 1: to you guys attention. But I think you know, after that,
- 15:11Speaker 1: it's pretty much you guys decision on what you do.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But I just wanted to let you know a few
- 15:14Speaker 1: things about you know, the results and things that nature, life, insurance,
- 15:18Speaker 1: the whole nine yards. Okay, okay, let me shoot talking
- 15:22Speaker 1: to them on the phone. Hello, hey, babe, Hey sweet right. Um, Look,
- 15:31Speaker 1: I got the insurance people on the line. They want
- 15:33Speaker 1: to get both of us on the phone to talk
- 15:35Speaker 1: to us about the insurance stuff. Oh, hey, Harvey, are
- 15:39Speaker 1: you doing this? Is Keith Keep from the insurance group?
- 15:42Speaker 1: How are you? Hey? Good with that? Nick key? Good? Good? Listen. Um.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I wanted to give you guys a call and kind
- 15:47Speaker 1: of follow up. You guys did physicals and blood tests
- 15:51Speaker 1: and the whole nine yards, and I wanted to give
- 15:52Speaker 1: you guys a call. It's kind of better if I
- 15:54Speaker 1: talk to both of you guys at the same time.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So if you have a minute that we can actually
- 15:58Speaker 1: use a kind of get some of this information, I'll
- 16:00Speaker 1: tell you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, man, I'm gonna
- 16:02Speaker 1: break right now. I'm good. Okay, great. First of all,
- 16:04Speaker 1: we've gotten all your your lab results back everything, and
- 16:07Speaker 1: I kind of got a few questions for you guys
- 16:09Speaker 1: that I'm a little puzzled on. How long have you
- 16:13Speaker 1: guys actually been married. Well, we've been together about three
- 16:16Speaker 1: two years, okay, now, prior to being married three years.
- 16:19Speaker 1: How long did you guys know each other before you
- 16:21Speaker 1: got married? About five and a half five six kids years? Okay,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you guys have been knowing each other pretty cluse nine
- 16:29Speaker 1: years now all together. Yeah, okay. Are you actually from
- 16:32Speaker 1: the same hometowns? You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean, if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 16:40Speaker 1: this question I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I mean there's a few things that's that actually uh
- 16:47Speaker 1: puzzling Carmen that we need to this. This is some
- 16:52Speaker 1: news that I actually didn't want to bring you, guys.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I mean, we have to. I have to actually give
- 16:57Speaker 1: you this news. Looking at our records, looking at all
- 16:59Speaker 1: the tests for jos and let me be the person
- 17:01Speaker 1: to tell you that we run these results over and
- 17:03Speaker 1: over and over, trying to make sure we are completely
- 17:06Speaker 1: one hundred and fifteen twenty right, Okay, it's a problem
- 17:09Speaker 1: with the test. Well, looking at our test, guys, Harvey
- 17:13Speaker 1: a garment, it's indicating that you guys are related. And
- 17:18Speaker 1: nine times I attend you are you guys are siblings? Man?
- 17:25Speaker 1: What And I understand the shot. It took me. It
- 17:30Speaker 1: took everything I had to make this phone call. I
- 17:31Speaker 1: did not want to make it. But looking at our
- 17:34Speaker 1: records and we went over these records over and over
- 17:37Speaker 1: and and and the blow work tells us that you
- 17:40Speaker 1: guys are actually siblings. Man, are you serious? Man? I'm
- 17:49Speaker 1: actually you know this is not a this is not
- 17:52Speaker 1: a laughing matter, not a joking matter. You know, Like
- 17:55Speaker 1: I said, I did not want to call with this information.
- 17:58Speaker 1: What you did make the call? Man? Look, you I
- 18:03Speaker 1: don't know what you need to go back and and
- 18:05Speaker 1: and double check your records or something because you've been
- 18:09Speaker 1: married three brief check with the lab man. Can't you
- 18:12Speaker 1: check with the laughing like Paula's back, Harvey and I
- 18:17Speaker 1: knew those questions would have come up, and we we
- 18:19Speaker 1: went over it. We went over it and over and
- 18:21Speaker 1: over it. Y'all need to go over it again because
- 18:25Speaker 1: I don't make no babe, I got this. You made
- 18:29Speaker 1: the call, and this gotta be wrong. So what you
- 18:32Speaker 1: need to do is make another call it called a
- 18:35Speaker 1: lab and call us back and let us know that
- 18:37Speaker 1: you either though they made a mistake of you talking
- 18:40Speaker 1: about me and my wife, and I understand it hard, Harry.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, is it possible? You know?
- 18:46Speaker 1: And this is just a question. Is it possible that
- 18:49Speaker 1: your dad and maybe her mom maybe knew each other
- 18:52Speaker 1: at some point? And what you're saying for my mom
- 18:55Speaker 1: and dad, that's some straight look at you need to have.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I can do whatever you need to do, but I
- 19:02Speaker 1: think you much. You say something like that again, I
- 19:04Speaker 1: tell you my baby's gonna be coming down that beach.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'm saying like that, hold on baby, old baby, baby, baby,
- 19:10Speaker 1: hold on baby, I got this hold on I gotta baby,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I gotta baby. I gotta say how you're gonna call
- 19:16Speaker 1: me with you what you for? I'm lower you from
- 19:19Speaker 1: people dude like that. But that ain't all I'm on doing, sir,
- 19:22Speaker 1: is bringing you the result or I should bring me
- 19:25Speaker 1: results in person. And I bet I wanted you. That's
- 19:27Speaker 1: what I'm talking about day, sir. Even if you beat
- 19:31Speaker 1: the messenger at the end of the day, that's still
- 19:33Speaker 1: your sister. At the end of the day, I'm gonna
- 19:35Speaker 1: want y'all. I don't care what he's talking about. Nothing
- 19:37Speaker 1: to he hain't my damn brother. I got it. I'm
- 19:40Speaker 1: gonna find out you off whatever jupicle you in. You're
- 19:43Speaker 1: gonna call me something about brother. So it's my wife.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I am that s somewhere down the line, somebody made
- 19:50Speaker 1: a mistake, and you guys, my brother and sister got married.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I'm not as far for that. Well, let me tell
- 19:56Speaker 1: you that shoot me mistake of calling. He's on one
- 19:58Speaker 1: of these numbers again and light So I got one
- 20:01Speaker 1: more Chefferson. I do need to get what you've been
- 20:06Speaker 1: talking about them? What else you got to say? Now
- 20:09Speaker 1: that's gonna be working. The only other touch resone I have, ma'am,
- 20:12Speaker 1: is that this is Nephew tom Me from the Steve
- 20:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your girlfriend.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Oh I told you, Like I told you, I got
- 20:33Speaker 1: one more thing. I got to ask both of y'all
- 20:35Speaker 1: what is the baddest and I'm talking about the baddest
- 20:38Speaker 1: radio show in the land. Steve Harvey morn to show.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You're gonna learn today? All right, all right? Coming up next,
- 20:53Speaker 1: it is asked to Celo with the Chief Love Officer,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building for your love questions. Right
- 21:00Speaker 1: after this you're listening to coming up at the top
- 21:05Speaker 1: of the hour and entertainment news, Monique is back. Monique
- 21:09Speaker 1: made a big announcement about her upcoming comedy special Tommy Miles.
- 21:15Speaker 1: We know him as Nephew Tommy. Well, Tommy Miles kicks
- 21:18Speaker 1: off a brand new season. I'm ready to love. We'll
- 21:21Speaker 1: get the scoop on the Miami cast. He says, it's sexy.
- 21:24Speaker 1: We'll find out and the first annual invest Fest will
- 21:28Speaker 1: be star studded. Okay, we'll tell you who'll be there
- 21:31Speaker 1: and who's been added to the lineup, But right now
- 21:34Speaker 1: it is time to ask the clo with the Chief
- 21:37Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey and the building. Ackerman in Huntsville says,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I'm married to a woman that loves your show and
- 21:48Speaker 1: she gets advice from you. She told me that men
- 21:51Speaker 1: can't have platonic female friends. I have female co workers
- 21:56Speaker 1: that I go to lunch with, but I don't call
- 21:58Speaker 1: them my friends. Can you please explain that I am
- 22:02Speaker 1: not doing anything wrong. I know she's listening. Well, you know,
- 22:07Speaker 1: if your husband is not saying he has these friends
- 22:10Speaker 1: that he's talking on the phone with and exchanging them
- 22:15Speaker 1: jovial conversations after work and after business hours, that's what
- 22:19Speaker 1: a friend is, right. A friend is not just work related. Now,
- 22:23Speaker 1: you can have associates at work. That's different. Your man
- 22:27Speaker 1: ain't coming to the house tell a we're friends. It ain't.
- 22:29Speaker 1: None were just talking. We're just over here meeting. You know,
- 22:32Speaker 1: we off work and we all got together and we
- 22:34Speaker 1: over here. That's different, you know. So you can have
- 22:37Speaker 1: associates at work because he's not calling them their friends,
- 22:41Speaker 1: so you know, lighting up a little bit. He just
- 22:43Speaker 1: goes to work at lunch with a group of people. Now,
- 22:48Speaker 1: once this group breaks off into individual dates, and if
- 22:53Speaker 1: these groups break off into individual conversations away from the
- 22:57Speaker 1: group at home. Only hens quietly got a cold name
- 23:02Speaker 1: in their phone. Then we all fit in the South Belt.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But Until's sister, he's all right, he's all right. He
- 23:08Speaker 1: ain't got to be doing enough because if he would
- 23:10Speaker 1: have co work in a group at work, that's one thing.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Now she my friend. See here's how you know a
- 23:16Speaker 1: man trying to make her his friend when he defends
- 23:19Speaker 1: her to you. See now you kind of problem. All right,
- 23:26Speaker 1: Now he ain't doing that, So Bud bloods off the hood. Okay,
- 23:29Speaker 1: all right, Jenna, and Beverly says, my husband and I
- 23:34Speaker 1: live in the suburbs, but he's always in the city
- 23:36Speaker 1: hanging out. I think he moved me out here so
- 23:39Speaker 1: he can do his dirt far away from home. He's
- 23:42Speaker 1: joked about needing a small apartment in the city, and
- 23:45Speaker 1: it makes me wonder if he got it and that's
- 23:48Speaker 1: where he spends his time. Should I hire a PI
- 23:51Speaker 1: to check it? Why you got to hire a PI
- 23:54Speaker 1: Private investigator? Wow, women are the best pis, the best
- 24:01Speaker 1: forensic scientists. New thing ain't got nothing, man, You ain't
- 24:08Speaker 1: do TV shows. All you got to do is starred
- 24:13Speaker 1: dig don't waste your money. It ain't hard. He din't
- 24:19Speaker 1: joked about having a place in this city. What did
- 24:21Speaker 1: this stupid ass say that folk stand, don't ask me,
- 24:28Speaker 1: I an't make me sick. Give me a little place
- 24:31Speaker 1: in this city? Is that where ain't going? Uh huh.
- 24:38Speaker 1: But you don't need no pil You do this yourself,
- 24:41Speaker 1: all right. Moving on to Terry in Las Vegas, Terry says,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan of the Raiders, and I bought
- 24:46Speaker 1: season tickets for my husband as a gift. He said
- 24:49Speaker 1: he doesn't enjoy going to the games with me, and
- 24:52Speaker 1: he planned to take his best friend to the games.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I switched the tickets to my name since I couldn't
- 24:57Speaker 1: get my money back. He is mad, mad man? Was
- 25:00Speaker 1: I wrong for that? Yes? Yes, she was? Yes, no,
- 25:07Speaker 1: but you was dead wrong. You know you bought your
- 25:11Speaker 1: husband season tickets. He don't like going to the game
- 25:15Speaker 1: with you because you're not asking questions. You don't really
- 25:17Speaker 1: know football, and you ain't fun at the game. You
- 25:20Speaker 1: don't howl at the right time, you're looking off and stuff.
- 25:24Speaker 1: He won't take his boy. You brought him me gift.
- 25:26Speaker 1: He wonta take his board. Now you're mad. They won't
- 25:29Speaker 1: get your money back. So now you don't switched the
- 25:32Speaker 1: tickets to your name. So now so you but you
- 25:38Speaker 1: you gay the gift and ticket back. Yeah, you're wrong
- 25:41Speaker 1: for that. She's a huge fan, Steve, though you can't.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Then you should have bought yourself season tickets. She wanted
- 25:50Speaker 1: something for her and her husband to do together. Obviously
- 25:53Speaker 1: he don't like going to the game with you. See
- 25:57Speaker 1: you don't. He won't. He won't be going hauling and stuff.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You know. See, we have two different opinions on this show. Um,
- 26:09Speaker 1: because Carlin and I agree and you don't. Because I
- 26:12Speaker 1: can tell about the way you laughing because you think
- 26:14Speaker 1: this this little bs is funny and it and you don't. No,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I don't find this funny at all. But you're saying,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you're saying, go to a couple of games, but you
- 26:26Speaker 1: don't give them something, take it back, And yeah, I
- 26:29Speaker 1: don't at it. You know, I don't agree with that part,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but I don't think it's a serious. She wanted something
- 26:37Speaker 1: to do, Sley, Shirley, don't buy it for your husband. Baby.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Guess what I got us? I bought us season tickets. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that's what that's how you say it not for you.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I bought up baby. You know I'm a big Raider fan,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and I want to spend some time with you, So
- 26:55Speaker 1: I got us some season tickets and you and I
- 26:59Speaker 1: can go. He said he doesn't enjoy going to the
- 27:04Speaker 1: games with her. She didn't even give a reason, because
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you why he don't enjoy going with her,
- 27:10Speaker 1: because they together too much. They to get the Monday
- 27:13Speaker 1: through Friday. Didn't she want a date night on Saturday?
- 27:16Speaker 1: Nw He she gonna suck up this Sunday. But he
- 27:18Speaker 1: ain't got no time to just be him. Everybody needs
- 27:22Speaker 1: some me time, even women. Well, y'all, y'all need times
- 27:25Speaker 1: with just y'all's girls. Y'all need a spa day. Y'all
- 27:28Speaker 1: need time to go and just talk the way y'all talk.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yeah me and need that man me and need that
- 27:35Speaker 1: bonding time with just bros when they ain't sit around
- 27:37Speaker 1: and just be bros and just talk. Ladies. Absolutely, absolutely
- 27:43Speaker 1: don't make it about that, you know I do. He can.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Nobody will to sit up under you all turn seven days. Hell,
- 27:49Speaker 1: what it's wrong with her? She wants to go to
- 27:53Speaker 1: the game with him, that's all. But I just told
- 27:56Speaker 1: you we live together. Monday through Friday. We're sleep in
- 27:59Speaker 1: the same bed. Sadly, I ain't playing golf because me
- 28:02Speaker 1: and you wanta do something on Sadday. Now you're sucking
- 28:05Speaker 1: up these Sundays. Damn Let me and my dudes go
- 28:08Speaker 1: to the game on Sunday where my meat day at.
- 28:11Speaker 1: What's wrong with her liking football and enjoying going That
- 28:15Speaker 1: ain't what this is about. Sure, I gotta move on.
- 28:18Speaker 1: We gotta move on anyway, But sun last one? Yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 1: hanging that dog. This has nothing to do with that.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Don't even try it. Sin and Queen says, there is
- 28:32Speaker 1: a man at my gym that makes it hard for
- 28:34Speaker 1: me to work out. He's handsome and he smells great
- 28:37Speaker 1: even when he's sweaty. I caught him checking me out,
- 28:39Speaker 1: and I don't mind letting him know I'm interested. How
- 28:42Speaker 1: do I break the ice with him? It broke? Where
- 28:47Speaker 1: did you prepare to them high heel sneakers that look
- 28:50Speaker 1: like sneakers, but they really high heel It work out
- 28:53Speaker 1: in the gym, really clothed, undivided attention. Yeah, and I

- 34:09Speaker 1: But I have to talking with these guys and learning
- 34:12Speaker 1: what they really did. I really got involved these guys, man,
- 34:17Speaker 1: because I said, Wow, what a great way to share
- 34:22Speaker 1: dream building wealth building ideas with the public man for
- 34:28Speaker 1: such an affordable price. I mean, it's actually cheap to
- 34:31Speaker 1: go to invest first, and people gonna drive from all over.

- 35:03Speaker 1: of things, you know that man is built from from

- 36:06Speaker 1: everybody asked promise joining us. Now we got a real
- 36:10Speaker 1: hit maker Hill. He's a Grammy Award winning multi talented singer, songwriter, performer,
- 36:17Speaker 1: and he's just released his eighth studio album and it's
- 36:21Speaker 1: called Self Explanatory. The album is out now. It's available
- 36:25Speaker 1: for download on all platforms. I don't care where you look.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Forward is there. It's called Self Explanatory. And we're about
- 36:32Speaker 1: to find out about this new music. And here from
- 36:34Speaker 1: the ladies and gentlemen. It gives us a great pleasure.
- 36:37Speaker 1: This is family to us. This family member right here,
- 36:40Speaker 1: he's young cat right here, just keeps on coming. You
- 36:43Speaker 1: can't stop the great You just can't do it. Ladies
- 36:45Speaker 1: and gentlemen, put your hands together for Neo. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 1: I can't stop him. Going on, y'all. How you feeling, man?
- 36:57Speaker 1: I feel good? I feel good? Man is out been
- 37:00Speaker 1: out a little less than a week? Response is good Man,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I'm in a come in a great space, I really am.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Hey man, how how you feel about it? Because Neil,
- 37:10Speaker 1: this is your eighth and now you don't you don't
- 37:13Speaker 1: rarely get to say that, no more to artists that
- 37:16Speaker 1: this is your eighth You know you at third or
- 37:18Speaker 1: something like that. Yeah, but this is your eighth full
- 37:21Speaker 1: length album man? And and and and is it your
- 37:24Speaker 1: signature style? Is it something different that they haven't seen?
- 37:28Speaker 1: What's what's the focus of the album? So I called
- 37:31Speaker 1: an album self explaining to our for a couple of reasons.
- 37:33Speaker 1: First reason being, Um, I've always prided myself on my
- 37:37Speaker 1: music speaking for itself. You know what I mean. I've
- 37:40Speaker 1: never been a super braggadocious cat telling everybody how good
- 37:43Speaker 1: I am as something blagsah bluzzer. I've never been at dude,
- 37:46Speaker 1: I'm just either for me, just push play as it.
- 37:50Speaker 1: The music speaks for itself. It don't require a whole
- 37:52Speaker 1: lot of explanations. When it's good, that's that's just what
- 37:55Speaker 1: that is. And then secondly, I feel like I've been
- 37:58Speaker 1: here almost twenty years. You really eat a whole lot
- 38:00Speaker 1: of explanation to a Neil record at this point. Not really, right,
- 38:05Speaker 1: not really? I like it. I like it. I like it.
- 38:10Speaker 1: That's what you do, yes, he said, indeed, Yeah at
- 38:19Speaker 1: this point, man, I I'm I'm having fun with this,
- 38:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I mean, I'm in I mean,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I'm in a good I'm in a good spirit. I'm
- 38:25Speaker 1: in a good space mentally, you know what I'm saying.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Me and a wife in a good place. Uh, I
- 38:32Speaker 1: can't have nothing to complain about, you know. I mean.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I want the project to do well, of course, but
- 38:37Speaker 1: if it don't, my kids still gonna eat tomorrow. Like
- 38:39Speaker 1: I've been in music, energy's been very good to me,
- 38:42Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I've been smart with my money.
- 38:44Speaker 1: So i want this album as hell. But if it don't,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I'm still going to sleep tonight and my kid's gonna
- 38:49Speaker 1: still eat here tomorrow. And that's that's a beautiful place. Yeah, man,
- 38:55Speaker 1: So I'm good. I'm in a really good place. Yeah. Yeah,
- 38:58Speaker 1: it ain't all riding on this one thing. But that
- 39:01Speaker 1: makes me want to buy it though the more. Hey man,
- 39:07Speaker 1: stay right there, Hey, listen man, when we come back,
- 39:10Speaker 1: we're gonna play the new hit. We're gonna play it
- 39:12Speaker 1: this morning. Man, We're gonna let everybody hear it, and
- 39:15Speaker 1: then we're gonna talk about this outfit. I saw you
- 39:17Speaker 1: and you was walking with your wife. Call you was
- 39:19Speaker 1: Pipper with the hat and the barman. Ladieship, we'll be
- 39:23Speaker 1: back with mar the legend Neo Neo. You're listening all right, everybody,
- 39:32Speaker 1: We're back and our special guests this morning has been
- 39:34Speaker 1: a family member Neo man. And I mean this dude
- 39:37Speaker 1: right here. Man just keeps on coming. Man. He's in

- 40:19Speaker 1: love me is a record that started out as a
- 40:21Speaker 1: as an open letter to my wife. It was written
- 40:23Speaker 1: at one of the darker moments in our marriage, and
- 40:27Speaker 1: I've I've always been better at writing it down than
- 40:30Speaker 1: than verbalizing. You know what I'm saying, especially when it's
- 40:32Speaker 1: a situation that's emotional, So I write it down. And
- 40:35Speaker 1: in this letter, I was basically telling her that I
- 40:37Speaker 1: wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to be
- 40:39Speaker 1: the man that she was hurt. And I thank god
- 40:43Speaker 1: that she didn't heed this letter because you know we
- 40:45Speaker 1: wouldn't be together eagether. But was an honest feeling, you know.
- 40:54Speaker 1: So I wrote the song I played it for she cried.
- 40:57Speaker 1: She cried a lot, actually, but she he loved your
- 41:00Speaker 1: record holtimently and then became the things. Yeah, man, well
- 41:04Speaker 1: let's hear everybody, just a new single, don't Love And
- 41:14Speaker 1: I really want to see you happy. I really want
- 41:18Speaker 1: to see us at you but in in your same set,
- 41:25Speaker 1: I know you don't feel that with me any mind,
- 41:31Speaker 1: you should walk away. He'd be selfish on me too,
- 41:35Speaker 1: as do the stay When I know that I cannot
- 41:40Speaker 1: love you the way you dessert, I can't see that
- 41:43Speaker 1: what you may be serviustay ones. I know that you're
- 41:47Speaker 1: willing to make please, don't please, don't love me, won't
- 41:54Speaker 1: go away, You'll be better for me. I can't be
- 42:00Speaker 1: you're happy. Won't go away, You'll be better. I'm boring girl.
- 42:08Speaker 1: I'm only gonna hurt you. You'll be better. I'm boring girl.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Find someone that deserves you. Wait running up to all
- 42:22Speaker 1: these starts to steady telling you I'm not lying to
- 42:25Speaker 1: your face down. God too easy for me tonight. Even
- 42:28Speaker 1: though I love you alive all, I'm gonna wind up
- 42:31Speaker 1: doing it like you hate me. I broke yourself with
- 42:35Speaker 1: steam and made you feel crazy, so walk away. I'm
- 42:41Speaker 1: there reason not to deal run down your fads. I'm
- 42:45Speaker 1: the reason that you felt so out of blazes has
- 42:48Speaker 1: a'm la and the steam with me. It would be
- 42:51Speaker 1: a mistake when I know that you're willing to make
- 42:56Speaker 1: these all blakes. Don't love me? You know something, man,
- 43:07Speaker 1: I'm sitting I'm a little bit stunned though, because you
- 43:10Speaker 1: don't hear music like that anymore. You don't hear men
- 43:15Speaker 1: talking honestly. R and B was his best when when
- 43:18Speaker 1: men were not afraid to be vulnerable for whatever reason,
- 43:23Speaker 1: men just men don't want to be vulnerable nowadays, the
- 43:27Speaker 1: other men breaking them down or women tearing them down nowadays,
- 43:31Speaker 1: which is nuts. But yeah, that's that's ye know what
- 43:33Speaker 1: it is right now. I've never been afraid of emotion,
- 43:35Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. My mama said it's a
- 43:37Speaker 1: feel good laughing or her cry, and never be afraid
- 43:39Speaker 1: to do either one. And that's not right. So that's
- 43:43Speaker 1: where it comes from. Hey man, congratulations everybody. This is

- 53:55Speaker 1: got it. Pull you here. It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Subject hip hop and jazzy. I'll say it again, hip
- 54:03Speaker 1: hop and jazzy. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty two
- 54:07Speaker 1: year old divorced woman dating a man that is fifty
- 54:11Speaker 1: seven years old. We've been together almost a year, but
- 54:14Speaker 1: we have fundamental differences that might break us up. We
- 54:18Speaker 1: met at my cousin's fortieth birthday party. He was a DJ,
- 54:22Speaker 1: so I asked him to play some classic R and
- 54:24Speaker 1: B hits because all he was playing was hip hop
- 54:27Speaker 1: and we had a lot of older people at the
- 54:29Speaker 1: party that weren't into the rap and hip hop music.
- 54:32Speaker 1: We got into a shouting match because he said he
- 54:35Speaker 1: didn't take requests. I ended up leaving a few minutes
- 54:38Speaker 1: later because the music was too loud and giving me
- 54:41Speaker 1: a headache. He got my number and called to personally
- 54:44Speaker 1: apologized and asked me to meet him for a drink.
- 54:47Speaker 1: We went to a nice jazz club and that's the
- 54:50Speaker 1: music I love. He says he loves it too. We
- 54:53Speaker 1: went on a few more dates and I started falling
- 54:56Speaker 1: for him. He's an insurance agent and he DJ's on
- 54:59Speaker 1: the week ends. Because of that, I'm finding out he
- 55:03Speaker 1: has two different personalities, and it seems like he's stuck
- 55:06Speaker 1: in his thirties. When he was djaying for a big rapper.
- 55:10Speaker 1: At first, he dressed like a fifty seven year old man.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Now he wears jerseys and Jordan's when we go out,
- 55:16Speaker 1: and I'm always dressed like a grown woman. He invites
- 55:20Speaker 1: me to go to his djay gigs with him, but
- 55:22Speaker 1: I honestly can't deal with all that bass and ignorant lyrics.
- 55:26Speaker 1: In his type of music. At his house, he plays
- 55:30Speaker 1: all rap when I'm there. He says, it's okay to
- 55:33Speaker 1: be different and opposites attract. He said, he really likes me,
- 55:37Speaker 1: but I am focused on the wrong things. I want
- 55:40Speaker 1: to date a grown man that enjoys grown man things.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I don't enjoy shopping for hip hop clothes with him
- 55:47Speaker 1: or sitting home alone while he's out at the club.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Is his immaturity a deal breaker or should I get
- 55:54Speaker 1: on his level? Well, my fifty seven year old man
- 55:57Speaker 1: ever grow up? That is the question. Well, I just
- 56:01Speaker 1: have to say, you know, here we go again. Listen
- 56:04Speaker 1: to you, listen to you. Just trying to change him,
- 56:07Speaker 1: That's what we do. I guess it's the nurturers in
- 56:09Speaker 1: us that we always try to rebuild a man. I mean,
- 56:13Speaker 1: we tell ladies on this show all the time, you
- 56:15Speaker 1: cannot change a man. You know, we can only change ourselves.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Remember that first night you met him, You guys got
- 56:23Speaker 1: into a shouting match at his job as a hip
- 56:26Speaker 1: hop DJ. That's what he was when you met him.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Now you want him to be someone else. The truth is,
- 56:33Speaker 1: I think he's comfortable being who he is, and he
- 56:35Speaker 1: doesn't see the point in changing for you right now
- 56:38Speaker 1: or maybe never. But I don't want you to change either.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I don't want you to change. I can't even believe
- 56:45Speaker 1: that you're considering changing. You asked us if you should
- 56:48Speaker 1: get on his level. I say, no, you know, just
- 56:52Speaker 1: be who you are too. This man is just not
- 56:54Speaker 1: for you. He's not the one. And although you may
- 56:57Speaker 1: be right in everything you're saying about him growing up
- 57:01Speaker 1: and being immature and all of that, it doesn't matter
- 57:03Speaker 1: because he's not gonna do it. I mean, his look,
- 57:06Speaker 1: his act, go with his weekend job, and that's how
- 57:09Speaker 1: he makes his money. Yes, he is fifty seven and
- 57:12Speaker 1: plays and likes rap and wears hip hop gear. That's it.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I mean, it could be a lot worse. I say,
- 57:18Speaker 1: but you know, we like who we like, we want
- 57:20Speaker 1: who we want. We just you know, can't want to
- 57:23Speaker 1: change them. So I say, step aside. Let him have
- 57:26Speaker 1: all that. Let him have the club, let him have
- 57:28Speaker 1: the clothes, let him have the hip hop, all of that.
- 57:31Speaker 1: That's what he likes, while you wait for your grown
- 57:34Speaker 1: man who likes jazz like you like. Because the DJ
- 57:38Speaker 1: is apparently a deal breaker for you, and that's okay.
- 57:41Speaker 1: That is Okay, you just may not be you know,
- 57:43Speaker 1: you guys just may not want to be together or
- 57:46Speaker 1: have to be together or can be together because of it. Steve,
- 57:50Speaker 1: I agree with you in this response to this letter.
- 57:56Speaker 1: The lady's off, you know surely said this on this show.
- 58:01Speaker 1: How many times do we tell y'all, open, open, open,
- 58:08Speaker 1: stop trying to fix these men, stop collecting red flags,
- 58:15Speaker 1: leave them in the ground. Some of y'all riding around
- 58:19Speaker 1: with a truck full of red flags, lead them flags
- 58:23Speaker 1: stuck in the ground. You got enough problems. You're too
- 58:28Speaker 1: old for this. What you need this in your life?
- 58:31Speaker 1: Fall it started wrong. It had a moment in that
- 58:36Speaker 1: way when old Kate did it flipped right on back
- 58:40Speaker 1: to Rome. You fifty two, he fifty seven. We've been
- 58:44Speaker 1: together almost a year now. That means they're sleeping together.
- 58:48Speaker 1: But we have fundamental differences. Fundamental differences. Fundamentals build up
- 58:58Speaker 1: from what people are. We're fundamentally this wading for the
- 59:03Speaker 1: fundamentals of a person are the foundation of who they are.
- 59:09Speaker 1: The fundamentals of your relationship will be what your foundation
- 59:13Speaker 1: in the relationship is built on. That's my interpretation of
- 59:18Speaker 1: fundamental differences. I was at my cousin's funny birthday party.
- 59:23Speaker 1: He was in DJ. I asked him play some classic
- 59:26Speaker 1: on B because he was just playing hippop. A lot
- 59:28Speaker 1: of old people at the party went into the rapping
- 59:30Speaker 1: hip hop music. We got into a shouting match because
- 59:33Speaker 1: he said he don't take recording or why is your
- 59:36Speaker 1: ass at old people party? How you the DJ and
- 59:40Speaker 1: don't take requests? And you had old people party? Do
- 59:44Speaker 1: you know that's how we party on requesting you any times?
- 59:49Speaker 1: I don't went up to the DJ booth and say, hey, man,
- 59:51Speaker 1: you can't. You gotta slow down some of these records. Man,
- 59:53Speaker 1: we need some slow jams in here. What you think
- 59:55Speaker 1: we're in here for? See back in the club, if
- 59:58Speaker 1: you played five fast records, it's in the row. Somebody
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: came up to the DJ booth and say, hey, pimp,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: what you think we're in here? Phone? We gotta talk
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to these girls. We gotta get in their ear. They
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: ain't nobody invented cell phones yet, Hey, we got to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: get in their ear. Right now. We'll have part of
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: after the hour. Today. Strawberry letter title is hip Hop
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and Jazzy we'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject hip hop and jazzy. This couple
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: is fundamentally different. She's divorced fifty two, he fifty seven.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: The fundamental differences is all in this letter. But it
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: started he was ding the DJ and the party for
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: her cousin now as old people. At the party, she
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: go up there. He paying all rap music. It ain't
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: going good. She go up there and asked him to
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: change the music. Can't he play something else? They get
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: into a shouting match because he said he don't take requests.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: He already at the wrong part. That's how we survived
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: back in the day with slow jams. Slow jams was
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: the only way we could get up on this woman
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and talk to her. And you couldn't play more than
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: five fast, recresenting the role at the club back in
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the day, because we had to slow jams, because we
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: got to get up on these women and talk to
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: him cause, unbeknownst to us, but no one had invented
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a sell phone back then, so we got to get
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: all that conversation in. Now, she said, I ended up
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: leaving a few minutes later because the music was too
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: loud and giving me a headache. He got my number
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: and called to personally apologize and asked me to meet
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: him for a drink. Y'all went to a jazz club
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and that that's the music I love. He said, he
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: loves it too. We went on a few more dates
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: and I started falling for him. He's an insurance agent
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and DJs on the weekend. That's another fundamental difference. One
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: of my best friends is an all state agent. He
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: don't DJ on the weekends because he to all State agent.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Be out here talk Mark getting paying people death benefits
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: and rescue in their house, and you're at the club
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Talkmark rajas And that's a fundamental difference. Now, she said,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: because of that, I'm finding out he got two different personalities.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: And it seemed like he's stuck in the thirties when
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: he is DJ for a big rapper. At first, he
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: dressed like his fifty seven year old man. Wait a minute,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: what you mean it seems like he stuck what you
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: met him? DJ and hip hop music? What what's the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: new discovery? Hell here eating up that DJ and music
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: he don't like? He played what he liked. Now you
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: find out he got two different personalities. Seemed like he
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: stuck in his thirties when he's DJ and for a
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: big rapper. He's been showing you this the whole time
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you met him. It's tarning at the party. Now he wears.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: At first, he dressed like a fifty seven year old man.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Now he wears jerseys and Jordan's when we go out,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and I'm always dressed like a grown woman. I've seen
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: this out before. It's not a good look. We've all
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: seen this out with a woman had on a nice dress, heels,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: and she's sitting up there this man with this ironed
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: ass tshirt looking like a food I'm sorry, bros. I'm
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: just gonna put it out there. If you're dating a
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: grown adult woman, then you need to dress like a
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: grown adult man. Lead him. Damn tennis shoes at home,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: put your ass some slacks of dress shut and get
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: you a button down shirt and put you some shoes on.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Sitting up across from this woman, she's gonna put a
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: dress on in your ass, got some jeans and a
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: big ass shirt on and a jersey. I don't know
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: nobody greater than me. So I'm not wearing your damn jersey.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I'm sitting up in a Lebron James jersey. Lebron. Ain't
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: me dog sitting up voting, Steph carry little light ski
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: and ass I'm sitting have grown the old ass, big
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: little man. I got the little light ski and ball
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: on my chest. Man, grow your ass up where other
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: men's clothes and stuff. I can't stare dudes where. I'm
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: just gonna put it out there now. And then he
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: invites me to go to the DJ gigs with him,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: but I honestly can't deal with all that base and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ignorant legs in his type of music. At his house,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: he plays all rap when I'm there. He said, it's
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: okay to be different, and opposite is the track, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: he said he really likes me. But I'm focused on
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: the wrong things. No you're not, No, you're not. You
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: better focus on these differences because that's what you're gonna
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: have to live with the differences. And if you can't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: deal with the differences, then stop dealing with him, because
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: it's obvious he ain't fit to change. I want to
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: day to grown man that en George, grown man things
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: well that ain't him. I don't enjoy shopping for hip
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: hip hop clothes he do. I don't like shopping for
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: hip got closed with him, or sitting home alone while
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: he's out at the club. Why would you sign up
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: for this? At fifty two? You got an old ass man,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: this damn this sixty all his free time here in
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: the club. He weren't sneakers in jerseys. You're sitting up
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: there with your dress on with your legs crossed. It
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: is his immaturity a deal breaker? Well, it is for
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: me and Shirley that if you won't date this little
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: man that's stuck in the pass that thank he's somebody,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: he ain He ain't a rapper, obviously he didn't make it.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: He don't DJ for the big time rapper. No bone
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: because the big time rapper somewhere raising the family right now.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: He don't have that because his ass got to go
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to the club and he insurance agent. Is this immaturity
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: deal breaker? Or should I get on his level? So
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: what you're asking us is should I boil yourself down,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: stop warning what I want and just give him everything
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: he won't? How do you expect to stay happy in that?
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: Because you're not fitting the start like a rap music.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You're just not and that's okay. Yeah, well, my fifty
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: seven year old man ever glow up. You don't have
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: a fifty seven year old man. Ta all right, leave
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: us your comments, thank you, Leave us your comments on
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram and Steve Harvey FM and
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: check out the Strawberry Letter. Ten seconds. You're actually dating
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: a real old ass looking boy. Yeah. Coming up next
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: in Sports Talk with Junior right after this, you're listening
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: to show. All right, it is time now for Junior
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: and Sports Talk. What you got, Junior all Shirley's The
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Aspis was the other night, and man shout out to
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Steph Curry. Steph Curry was the host of the Spies Man.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: He did a fantastic job. First of all, he poked
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: fun at Lebron James, which was crazy. He said he
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: was the second NBA player to host at and Lebron
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: James was the first after losing the NBA Finals to
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: the Warriors, so you could imagine him being up there.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: He said, me being up here, this feels good. Nor
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: we won the championship, this feels good. Son had to
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: sit there and take that. Steph had some style too.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Many had him this nice line green suit with his
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: white shirt all man and he had a Kgnac in
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: his hands. He was patrolling his controlling jet Lebron Jane.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: So it was a good it was a good espies man.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: He also brought attempted to Britney Grinner coming home some
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: of the WBA players and Steph Curry asked that Britney
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Grinner be brought home right away. So it was a
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: really really good espies man. Congratulations Steph Curry. Also, James
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Harden picked up the money that was left up the
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: table and it wasn't a little bit either. Six to
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: eight million over two years. He's gonna stay and feel Delphia.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Go ahead, Lebron. Okay, that's a lot of money. Yeah,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: he said, I didn't care about it. But he got
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: sixty eight million over two years. That's a lot of money.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: It's not going he was gonna be making. But he
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: just he knew how much was left over the time. Yeah,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: he clearly he did. And nobody couldn't take five No,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: he did. He picked it up sixty eight million over
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: the next two years. Man. Also it's some other people
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: got some money. Zach MVine is staying in Chicago. He
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: picked up forty seven million. Oh have mercies, Zach boy.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: They just making some bread out here. I don't know.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: You know some of the old NBA players is hot
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: about the money these brothers just making. Now you know
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: they had this whole thing where shack what's saying, man?
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: The money they're getting. This ridiculous to prepare when they
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: were playing, Yeah, they were. They were doing a little
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: haying like come on that they're playing this saw fast
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: basketball they played. We was out here fighting and they
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: getting forty seven We out here had to fight each
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: other and they getting forty seven million for touching? Is
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: it's a lot of money ie on this table. Also
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: it sports. Miles Bridges pled not guilty to the domestic
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: feeling abuse charges and child abuse charge. He played not guilty.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: We had to see how this whole case plays out. Feeling,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: the domestic violence and child abuse. Having an altercation with
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: his girlfriend in front of their children. That's what the
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: child abuse case is comes in. That's serious allegations. Now,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: he played not guilty, But then how many times have
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: we seen a case and I'm being Devil's advocate here?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: So he said not guilty. You know she's saying he
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: did this. I'm just you just gotta let the evidence
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: come in, play out, keep it. Yeah, it's kind of
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: messed up, man. These cats right here a killing people.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Thank you, guys. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: we'll have debate practice for Herschel Walker before his big
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: debate in Georgia against Senator Rafael Warnock. Right after this.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: we have Herschel Walker here um with his debate coach.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: He's you know, made it his business to stop by,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: so let's get started. First of all, just let me
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: just say hey, I'm I'm Riley Riley Henderson from the
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Conservative Republican Party and I'm here and I'm just Herschel's coach,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: so I'll be monitoring this. We're getting him ready for
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the debates. Go ahead, go ahead, man, all right. So
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the first question is do you believe mister Walker in
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: race mixing? Race mixing? Now, I'm gonna say something to
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: you right now. I believe, I'm gonna say it. I
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: believe Carl Lewis warn that raised against being Johnson, and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I think that uh is wrong. How they how they
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: gay that meta, they gay that metal to being Johnson. No,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: you're first thing we want to do what we want
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to listen space by listening to the question, she said.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: She said, the question, Hoshel was, are you okay with
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: the race mixing? And what when? When when they when
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: they had that race in in in uh in no
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Liperton eight eight that was called and we're talking about
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: race mixing Herschel, all right, my foot racist race creed
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: apolo creed, apolo creed. Now what a segregation? On a second,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: you gotta stop saying sun like that. It's s I are.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: It will sound so much more helpful to us as
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Republicans if we didn't have you out front calling We'll
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: leave that Hoshel suck. Come on, come on, what, mister Walker,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: What does segregation mean to you? Let's try that one.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: What does segregation mean to you? I'm not gonna carrying
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: nobody baby. You got to carry your own baby. You're
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: gonna way as I see it, if you're gonna live
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: in this country, you carries your own baby. Hash you're
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: getting the right? Are you kidding me? These are questions
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: that can come up this role versus way that could
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: actually come up. What are you talking about? That? For you?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: You don't bring that up. But what I just thought
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: they both gott to carry their own baby. That what
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I thought that, And we think they should too to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: full time. That's why we overturn Roe versus Way. What
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: we're trying to talk about here, segregation, that's nothing. Did
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you say rum rule ru rule your life? Jackpot? With
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: with with carl Thomas? What I mean with Carlton? What's
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: this too? Okay? You mean missus mister clas Thomas, Yeah,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: jack pot with him? I see these guys not the finger,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: all right? Do you believe in COVID vaccinations? Mister Walker,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this to you. I believe everybody ought
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: to have a vacation. Everybody ought to have a vacation
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: whenever they wants to go somewhere. Vaccination, damn it, vaccinations.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Please listen. Some people go to the shout out Riley,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: mister Riley, you can't do this. They've got a guy
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: that's gonna be on the other side of that stage.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: There's gonna be whooping your ass. Shot should look good. Crazy.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Let's try another question. How do you plan mister Walker?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: What are you plan to do about crime in Georgia

- 1:19:31Speaker 1: get the eye and comb out. Ain't doing I'm gonna

- 1:19:55Speaker 1: I think we have one more question if we can
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: get to it for candidate herschel Walker. See if we
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: can get to that. Coming up at forty nine minutes
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this you're listening to show
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: this Friday. Thank you to Neo for stopping by and
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: just you know, giving us a peek into how he
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: thinks and how he writes and everything that on his
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: brand new album calls self explanatory. It is out now
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: you can download it. Thank you again, Neo, we love you,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: eadulations Yeah is eight studio album. Eight studio album. Yeah.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's excellent. He really really is. Um Okay,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: so earlier in the show, we had candidate herschel Walker
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: here and he was here with his debate coach Riley
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Henderson because, in case you don't know, down in Georgia,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: m Herschel Walker has agreed to debate candidate Senator Roffe Warnock. Okay,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: so he finally agreed to his debate, and so people
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: have decided that he may need a coach. So here's
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: some questions we did not get to. Hey, listen, First
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: of all, uh ma'am, miss Arbe, I'd like to say
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: thank you, You're welcome. I pulled herschel to the side,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: just gone over with you. I think we're better prepared now,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: you know. I like to apologize to the public. We
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: were a bit unprepared, you know, about the rehearsal in
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: front of everyone. I think after talking with my candidate,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: the Herschel Walker, former Georgia Bulldog, I think I've got
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: him to a point now where you know, I think
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: it's gonna go good. So we'll do a question maybe
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: too if if if it goes well, we'll just shut
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: it down. Ladies and gener I present to you the
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Republican candidate for Senate of the Great State of Georgia,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: a Republican rich state, and I'm a proud member of
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: that guy. Uh huh okay, herschel Walker, you've been working
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: with him, mister Henderson. All right, all right, mister Walker,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: uh again, thank you for being here. I wanted to
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: know how many children do you have? We like to
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: know about our candidates backgrounds and their family situation. No, no, no,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: that right there, wonder see not that right there is
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: a loaded question right there. Watch me, mister Braddy, Watch me,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: mister Raddy, I got this gun. Go ahead and ask
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: qu I just asked you how many children do you have?
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: That is the question. I'll have zero cheerie zero, A
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: lot of folks, a lot of fool thing. I don't claim.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I don't claim my chili what it is, my chilling,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: don't claim me? See so I have zero chilling? Oh god, wow,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: with a Republican with a moral compass of this country.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: We're family men. Hersha, we've gone over this, there's photos.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Just be honest. How many children do you have? Honesty? Honesty?
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: We're ninety nine nine. You want to let you take
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: what if struggle I'm wondering junior, and he got hush
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: husha Junior. Then you got her ship, her show hushia,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: hersha ledo and her shameless, her shameless? Does her names hershew?
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: How many children do you have? Don't you pay get
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: care of? Oh? My god? How many have you taken
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: care of? The number symptoms of them? Is what the
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: state saying? Sam, I don't write. What does that mean?
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Sam zum? What does Sam mean? I don't I don't
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: go scott out. Don't rightfully clean something of miss riding? No, No,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I don't right you know I don't rightfully clean something
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: of them. But I said rifle with clean But what
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: are you talking about? Second Amendment? For nobody said anything
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: about rifle. You know that's one of our that's one
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: of my talking parts, the Second Amendment, the right to
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: bear arms. But if this part no, when you bear
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: your nobody's rifles, the right to bare arms is really
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: a tank top. See when you wear a tank top
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: and bear your arms, I tell like them that gives
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: you the right that allows you to wear your arms
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: and free live. You want to wear a hard said
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: this is about well, that's not one of the issues.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Wait a minute, hold on, man, that's not an issue.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: That's a bad arm. Miss riding now, now, not gonna
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: go now, I ain't gonna which not miss riding. But
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: now I knows what I'm know. Now when your arms
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: are out like that, day's bad and that's the right.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Who knows what I know? That's the problem. Are you
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: kidding me? We're gonna be standing across from a man
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: who is a professional, spiritual, gifted orator. He's a minister,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: and not only that, he's actually an activist and been
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: in civil politics for people for years. That's who we're
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: a gift. You can't that's all I'm voting for. That's
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: not thank you, man, But that's not what we're here for.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: We're here for debate practice. Who're not here taking a
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: survey of who's voting for who? You have another question,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: let's try to get quickly quick. Yeah, I asked you
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: about COVID vaccinations earlier. Now I want to know do
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you have a cure for COVID? I got some rat
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: of snakes on my problem. And if you get that
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: rat snake and take that ratler, take that radler off
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: the bike, back up and bite that ratler. That cue
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: in things. Heary, you can't do theories in the debate.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: We're the party that doesn't believe in vaccinations. What changed
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: your mind about debating? Because before before you weren't going
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: to debate Reverend Warnock. Now what changed your mind? Well,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: he ain't no war, he ain't been in the war.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: I let me teach you something. I don't think there's
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: anybody that we're standing up against me. I don't. I
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: just ain't out loud. I think the world on the hill.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: What I got to say? Oh God, please please, no
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: one to watch this debate. Mister Riley might have followed you,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: mister Riley, and I don't you being not fun to me? Now?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: I can't. We gotta go hate him. I have to
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: make any sense you see. Thanks for joinan Steve Rvey
