- 1:59Speaker 1: it uh huh I shore will I come on and
- 2:04Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: here we go. You know what's important. What's what can
- 2:21Speaker 1: be a huge part of your success is if you
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you find a balance, if you find a balance
- 2:30Speaker 1: in your life. That's that's been very important for me.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And I've really never phrased it this way until now,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but I was kind of thinking about it after my
- 2:40Speaker 1: wife and I mean we set up one night recently. Man.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 1: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 1: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:53Speaker 1: you and God and that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's that's the that's the top of the crown. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: gotta form the relationship with God. If you don't, everything
- 3:03Speaker 1: else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband without God.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It's hard to be a good family man without God.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's hard to be successful without God. Man, it's hard
- 3:12Speaker 1: to be hard to get through this thing called life
- 3:14Speaker 1: without God. So that's clear. But at the same time,
- 3:20Speaker 1: you can't talk about God twenty four seven. You got
- 3:23Speaker 1: to go to work. Come on, man, let's just be real.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I ain't I ain't your past, and I ain't at
- 3:27Speaker 1: your church. But let's just be real about it. You know,
- 3:31Speaker 1: if people tell you got to keep your mind stayed
- 3:33Speaker 1: on Him and all like that, that's that's a true statement.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Got to keep your mind stayed in that area. I
- 3:38Speaker 1: don't not here to tell you how to live, but
- 3:40Speaker 1: you got to keep your mind stayed in that area
- 3:42Speaker 1: of God, of doing the right thing, caring about people.
- 3:45Speaker 1: That's what I took it as. Now, I could be wrong.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I apologize if I'm not saying that the way you've
- 3:49Speaker 1: been taught. I can only do me now. But after that,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you got to go to work. You got to have
- 3:56Speaker 1: some fun. You gotta take care of your business. And
- 4:00Speaker 1: that's the balance you have to find. So it once
- 4:04Speaker 1: you focus on shooting up your relationship with God, you
- 4:09Speaker 1: got you gotta balance this now. Now you got to
- 4:13Speaker 1: allocate some time. I don't care who you are, for
- 4:16Speaker 1: your family. If you're gonna have a family, you got
- 4:20Speaker 1: to allocate some time for them. See, we can't just
- 4:23Speaker 1: marry these women or make these kids and then neglect them.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And fellas, especially if I'm talking to me and out him, ladies,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you can listen to. But listen. If you find yourself
- 4:34Speaker 1: struggling in your life, man, and you can't seem to
- 4:36Speaker 1: get it together, let's just go over a couple of things.
- 4:39Speaker 1: The first two things, if you find yourself struggling, you
- 4:43Speaker 1: can't seem to pull it together and reach your goals
- 4:45Speaker 1: and get to where you want to go, Let's just
- 4:48Speaker 1: do a check how is your relationship with God? And
- 4:53Speaker 1: then next how much time are you taking to allocate
- 4:58Speaker 1: for your family? Now, your family don't always live in
- 5:02Speaker 1: your house, but if you made them, they yours and
- 5:06Speaker 1: the responsibility to them is never lessen because you don't
- 5:09Speaker 1: stay that no more, because you and the girl broke up.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You and the woman don't speak a man that don't
- 5:15Speaker 1: ever release you from the obligation. Feel me when I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: telling you this now, because I'm not telling you something
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'm wondering about. I've had to live through them years.
- 5:26Speaker 1: So two things you can start looking at. If you're
- 5:29Speaker 1: not where you want to be, and you ain't, you
- 5:31Speaker 1: ain't really solid. You can't figure out why you keep
- 5:33Speaker 1: spending your wills. Have you just done a random inventory? Man?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 1: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 1: your children that you've created? If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 1: out of saint man, that that I can tell you
- 5:48Speaker 1: right now, you can go on and get to explain
- 5:51Speaker 1: in yourself away just like that, a man, how come
- 5:54Speaker 1: you ain't where you want to be? I'm couz man,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I really ain't. But if you really ain't, then you
- 5:59Speaker 1: really ain't. The third thing is you got to allocate
- 6:03Speaker 1: the necessary time for your business. You got to handle
- 6:07Speaker 1: your business. All of this, man is the way it works,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and the order, the order is God first, family second.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Then you got to handle all your business. But as
- 6:25Speaker 1: men and this is what we do. If I don't
- 6:28Speaker 1: handle my business, I can't take care of my family.
- 6:32Speaker 1: True statement. But if your business is in front of
- 6:35Speaker 1: your family, you out of order. Nah. That's all we're
- 6:38Speaker 1: talking about, now, ain't it. See That's that's all we
- 6:40Speaker 1: really saying here now, fellas you know, you know I mean,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I mean, come on, man, you know, let's let's have
- 6:46Speaker 1: a real conversation about being better. You know, if you
- 6:49Speaker 1: have created these children, you got to handle your business.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You may not like the girl no more. You and
- 6:55Speaker 1: the woman might have broken up, y'all might go your
- 6:56Speaker 1: own way, But what that got to do with the
- 6:58Speaker 1: child though? Man, you got to handle your business. They
- 7:01Speaker 1: got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation, man,
- 7:03Speaker 1: And God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Try go ahead and try it, and thank you. Gonna
- 7:09Speaker 1: get off the hook with that, because you're not man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: You just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why are
- 7:17Speaker 1: you coming like that? Because I did it like that?
- 7:21Speaker 1: I did it, man. I was over here trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: reshape my life, getting myself up on my feet. When
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was a homeless man and trying to come back. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I thought I had to take care of me first
- 7:30Speaker 1: and then so I can neglect it. Care about them kids. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: that ain't high work. Man, God kelp us knee on
- 7:36Speaker 1: my neck for a long time for that one right there,
- 7:38Speaker 1: until I finally learned the lesson. Hold up, man, put
- 7:42Speaker 1: these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something,
- 7:46Speaker 1: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I can't beat there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 1: out here on the ground in the hustle. But at
- 7:53Speaker 1: the same time, Man, some more phone calls, some more letters, smohaha,
- 7:57Speaker 1: he he's something. Then take care of your business. Man.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You got to work hard to be successful. You know,
- 8:06Speaker 1: sometimes I don't put that in there. I just live
- 8:08Speaker 1: in and I expect my sons to emulate that. But
- 8:10Speaker 1: I gotta talk to him all the time. How hard
- 8:13Speaker 1: you got to work to be something. It's an all
- 8:16Speaker 1: out of salt on it. Man. If you gotta target
- 8:18Speaker 1: in mind, you gotta go. You gotta wake up every
- 8:21Speaker 1: day trying to get there, and you can't get tired
- 8:24Speaker 1: of it because it's it's it never ends. You're gonna
- 8:29Speaker 1: always be this way. That's how life is designed and
- 8:32Speaker 1: set up. You got to be a hard worker. Man.
- 8:36Speaker 1: If you're always looking for some time to chill, and man,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I won't go do what I want to do, you
- 8:40Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it. In order to be successful, you
- 8:44Speaker 1: have to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:50Speaker 1: uncomfortable doing. It's so much easier to chill, man. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: wish I could kick back with a cigar man all
- 8:57Speaker 1: the time, but I can't, Man, I can't because I
- 9:03Speaker 1: got to work. Then the last piece of the balance
- 9:10Speaker 1: balance piece is you gotta take some time out to
- 9:12Speaker 1: enjoy yourself. But if you ain't where you want to be,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you ain't got a lot of time to enjoy yourself.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Quit thinking, man, that this balance is even. It's a
- 9:24Speaker 1: whole lot of God, a whole lot of family, a
- 9:27Speaker 1: whole lot of business, and a little bit of chilling.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The chilling can't be equal to the family, the business,
- 9:35Speaker 1: or your God. If the chilling is equal to any
- 9:38Speaker 1: of them, you ain't gonna make it. Quit chilling, man,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and go to work like a man. Do what you
- 9:44Speaker 1: post to do. Work on your family, work on your relationship,
- 9:47Speaker 1: work on your God, work on your business. And then
- 9:50Speaker 1: when you chill. You might not chill is long, but
- 9:52Speaker 1: you show gonna chill bigger. You're gonna ball bigger. Baby.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your undivided
- 10:04Speaker 1: detection this morning. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 10:16Speaker 1: for for your mind. Sometime it just go places. I've
- 10:20Speaker 1: decided today to dedicate this show to smart people. I'm

- 11:18Speaker 1: rusted sounding, isn't he? Now? Thank you? He barely got

- 11:27Speaker 1: the show till the show is dedicated to smart people?

- 12:48Speaker 1: explain if you fall back, why would you come Monday?
- 12:51Speaker 1: You're supposed to sit back and wait, hello, boy, come
- 12:57Speaker 1: on to sit back. I don't I don't even thought
- 13:02Speaker 1: the battles at home. Y'all don't fall back welling to work? Okay,
- 13:08Speaker 1: that's rule us wrong. Why would y'all fall in here
- 13:12Speaker 1: when you're supposed to fall back? The floor is yours? Yes,
- 13:20Speaker 1: he does how I know I'm the smartest person in Okay.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Look all right, man, okay, okay, can gather yourself all right.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two after the hour, we're gonna
- 13:36Speaker 1: do one of your favorite segments, Steve, asked Steve, coming
- 13:40Speaker 1: up right after you're listening to all right, we have
- 13:46Speaker 1: a lot to get to today. Most importantly, it is
- 13:49Speaker 1: election day around the country. You guys need to get out,
- 13:53Speaker 1: get out to vote. Please. We'll talk about it more
- 13:56Speaker 1: throughout the morning, but right now it is time for
- 13:58Speaker 1: asked Steve. Steve, this is your favorite segment. We ask
- 14:01Speaker 1: you questions and you give us answers. Of course, please
- 14:04Speaker 1: keep your answer short so we can get more questions.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Keep your questions short. All right, all right, today's election day.
- 14:13Speaker 1: As I mentioned, Now, Steve, here's a question for you.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Let's say you were offered the position of mayor of
- 14:20Speaker 1: your beloved city, Cleveland. Um, would you take it? Hell?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Why not? I thought, I'm not seeing to be the
- 14:30Speaker 1: mayor of the Cavaliers and the Browns. Man, I'm not
- 14:39Speaker 1: trying to be the mayor off that until we get
- 14:42Speaker 1: some championship throw. I'm not gonna be the mayor of Cleveland.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do it until we attract anybody or
- 14:57Speaker 1: star status to come play basketball anything, just and we
- 15:03Speaker 1: get rid of this coach we got. I can't be
- 15:06Speaker 1: mad Cleveland right now because I'm just not gonna do good.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Next question, what is your favorite day of the week. Oh?
- 15:23Speaker 1: I like, my favorite day of the week is the
- 15:26Speaker 1: one that I wake up over every day. Every day
- 15:32Speaker 1: comes my absolute favorite day of the week. As soon
- 15:35Speaker 1: as I wake up for one, that's my favorite day
- 15:38Speaker 1: of the week. So it moves like right now, this
- 15:41Speaker 1: morning is my favorite day of the week. All right,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I wake up tomorrow, It'll be that one to day
- 15:47Speaker 1: is the first day of the rest of your life.
- 15:48Speaker 1: To the deal. Okay, come on, Carla, all right, okay,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I got a fun question in a serious question. Give
- 15:55Speaker 1: me the name of three objects, store things, objects or
- 15:59Speaker 1: things that you love most? And why three objects or
- 16:02Speaker 1: things that you love most? And why? I love my
- 16:07Speaker 1: family because most of them do like I ask them to.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Some of them don't, and then when they don't, I
- 16:15Speaker 1: don't consider them family. Um. What, I love traveling, Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I turned it right off. I love traveling because I
- 16:25Speaker 1: love the exposure to different regions, different foods, different cultures,
- 16:31Speaker 1: different religions. I enjoy meeting people to exchange of ideas
- 16:36Speaker 1: and values. And third thing I love. I love being
- 16:41Speaker 1: flat man. I love representing the kingdom of flatness. I
- 16:45Speaker 1: think that I'm one of the top representatives of flatness,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and I exude it. Fly till I die. I'm yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Those of the things I enjoyed most. Man, you look
- 17:03Speaker 1: great and very flying that Publisher's clearing House commercial. I
- 17:07Speaker 1: love those colors. Step yeah, swagool yeah, come on, junior,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Okay up. What's the biggest personal change you've ever made?
- 17:21Speaker 1: My spirituality, I can say a man. Acknowledging and realizing
- 17:26Speaker 1: that I was nothing without God, that was my biggest Seniously, man,
- 17:32Speaker 1: that was my biggest accomplishment. When I figured out it
- 17:35Speaker 1: wasn't about me. When I figured out that I couldn't
- 17:38Speaker 1: do it by myself. When I stopped trying to figure
- 17:41Speaker 1: out my future and do more asking for my future
- 17:44Speaker 1: and following his lead, that was the greatest change in
- 17:47Speaker 1: my life. It actually simplified things for the Actually, yeah, boy,
- 17:51Speaker 1: beautiful answer. I love it all right, So Steve, here
- 17:55Speaker 1: we go. If someone wrote a biography about you? What
- 17:59Speaker 1: do you think that title would be? What would the
- 18:02Speaker 1: title be his Flyness? Didn't I just say? I was
- 18:13Speaker 1: all right, yeah, that would be the title about book,
- 18:15Speaker 1: not his highness, just his flyness. I like it? Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: all right, I got one uncle. If you could trade
- 18:23Speaker 1: lives for a day with anybody, who would it be? Okay,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I always start, don't say it again. If you could
- 18:31Speaker 1: trade lives for a day with anybody, who would it be?
- 18:35Speaker 1: And why the damn show wouldn't be used? He I
- 18:43Speaker 1: don't know. I thought you was gonna he was hoping
- 18:47Speaker 1: person ask you that question that they kind of asking
- 18:50Speaker 1: that question with ears. Let me let me take that
- 18:54Speaker 1: from you, right, man, I don't I don't really have
- 18:56Speaker 1: nobody's life. I won't more than mine. Oh oh man,
- 19:07Speaker 1: that's a hard question. Really, you have a great life. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I mean I have the life that I've lived and
- 19:18Speaker 1: earned and and plus you know, when you start talking
- 19:21Speaker 1: about you want to be somebody, it's like my son talked,
- 19:26Speaker 1: we don't have enough time. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 19:29Speaker 1: My son taught me as to why one of the
- 19:31Speaker 1: reasons I wouldn't want to be anybody else, And so
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't. I can't answer that question because there is
- 19:38Speaker 1: no one, no one I would exchange positions or lives with.
- 19:43Speaker 1: No one, Tyler. Tyler, I'm sorry, Term, I know you
- 19:49Speaker 1: thought I was gonna says and four over him. Boyd,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm I'm not the only one who wouldn't exchange lives
- 19:59Speaker 1: with you. Could be the King of pranks, Steve coming
- 20:03Speaker 1: up next, it is the King of pranks would run
- 20:06Speaker 1: that prank back right after this. That's who you could be, Steve.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You're listening. Coming up at the top of the Hour
- 20:15Speaker 1: and Entertainment News. Nicki Minaje clapped back at Wendy Williams
- 20:19Speaker 1: and uh man, oh man, I saw the movie Harriet
- 20:22Speaker 1: you guys over the weekend, really so good, oh so excellent,
- 20:26Speaker 1: so excellent. Right now it is time for the nephew
- 20:29Speaker 1: to run that prank back. What you got for us,
- 20:32Speaker 1: neaf my favorite sock, my favorite sock. I'm okay, I'm
- 20:38Speaker 1: trying to reach the child. Yeah, let's char okay, are
- 20:42Speaker 1: you the do you live an apartment? Who is it?
- 20:45Speaker 1: My name, Benny Man I live in Let me say
- 20:47Speaker 1: this to you, man, this like the third time this
- 20:50Speaker 1: that happened. You know, and I got fed up with it.
- 20:52Speaker 1: So I'm putt the city and we get up. Man, wait, wait, wait,
- 20:55Speaker 1: who who are you again? My name Benny Man I live.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Let's listen. Do you use the washroom on the property? Yeah? Man,
- 21:03Speaker 1: I used the washroom? What's up? Okay? This is the
- 21:06Speaker 1: third time this happened. Last night was the third time,
- 21:09Speaker 1: right now. The first time I happen to be in
- 21:11Speaker 1: the washroom with you and I come up with a
- 21:14Speaker 1: shirt missing. Now. The second time was was was my
- 21:18Speaker 1: T shirt? My Chicago Bulls Championship T shirt? I saw
- 21:22Speaker 1: your girl with it on now? Last night? Last night
- 21:25Speaker 1: was one that drew the line. My favorite socks was
- 21:28Speaker 1: missing out the dryer. I come back to getting my luck.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I don't know what you're doing, man, when you're in
- 21:33Speaker 1: this washroom. If you decide you're just gonna go shopping
- 21:36Speaker 1: in the dry and get what you want out of
- 21:38Speaker 1: it from other people's stuff. Man, but this ain't old.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Hold up, I'm a grown man. What are you talking about?
- 21:43Speaker 1: Shopping for? Every day? I buy my own Listen, you
- 21:47Speaker 1: called me dripping by some clothes, and what you called
- 21:49Speaker 1: me dripping by some damn socks? You damn right, they're

- 28:14Speaker 1: of the hour Entertainment and National News. Right after this,
- 28:18Speaker 1: you're listening to Steven Show. In today's Entertainment News, Nicki
- 28:25Speaker 1: Minaj clapped back at Wendy Williams for talking about her husband,
- 28:28Speaker 1: Kenneth Petty and his criminal past. In case you didn't know,
- 28:32Speaker 1: Nikki's husband was convicted of attempted rape of a sixteen
- 28:35Speaker 1: year old when he was a teen and served seven
- 28:38Speaker 1: years after pleading guilty to manslaughter in two thousand and six.
- 28:42Speaker 1: The new missus Nicki Minaj Petty then went for the
- 28:45Speaker 1: juggular when she brought up Wendy's MESSI split from her husband,
- 28:49Speaker 1: Kevin Hunter. When a woman isn't really being loved at home,
- 28:53Speaker 1: the viciousness is a different type. So I really wanted
- 28:57Speaker 1: to pray for you today because look at where you
- 28:59Speaker 1: are are now in life, She explained, Look at what
- 29:02Speaker 1: age you are. You sat up there being vicious all
- 29:05Speaker 1: this time and paid for that man's mistress all these years.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You paid for her shopping sprees, You paid for her hotels.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You probably even paid for her obg y N bills.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You paid to have that baby delivered, Garden tool, How
- 29:23Speaker 1: you're doing stupid. I was one of those black women
- 29:26Speaker 1: supporting you when that came out. Ohoh that is the
- 29:30Speaker 1: clapback of all clapbacks, right there was cha. Wow. So
- 29:38Speaker 1: is it safe to say, do not mess with Nicki
- 29:40Speaker 1: Minaj Nicki Minaj Patty? Yeah? Wow, I hope they squashed
- 29:50Speaker 1: that though. Let's just yeah, but I know that Wendy,
- 29:54Speaker 1: what she does for a living, you know, you when
- 29:58Speaker 1: you throw those out there, no be ready for him
- 30:01Speaker 1: to come back, and well something gonna come back period. Yeah. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: that's what she does for a living. I mean, Wendy,
- 30:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, this is yeah.
- 30:13Speaker 1: I hope they can back, Yeah, can possibly? Yeah, just
- 30:17Speaker 1: meet and maybe you know, settle this. You hope they
- 30:20Speaker 1: can do what I Yeah, I mean there's a thing,
- 30:26Speaker 1: there is a thing called forgiven, Steve. There is sure
- 30:29Speaker 1: all that should Oh sure, I the wonderful Christian act
- 30:35Speaker 1: of kindness. You awfully, but you don't think now we
- 30:42Speaker 1: just let this go? Yeah yeah, okay, maybe they'll let
- 30:45Speaker 1: it go and I just stop the line and it
- 30:48Speaker 1: was I really want to pray for you today. That's
- 30:50Speaker 1: not the yeah. But then what came after that? She
- 30:56Speaker 1: let her up? Nicky Nikki says that all let me
- 31:01Speaker 1: make this. Hey Nikki, I love you baby. Keep doing
- 31:04Speaker 1: what you're doing. A file for me about nothing? Hey
- 31:10Speaker 1: need anything? What happen when these people run into each other?
- 31:14Speaker 1: What happens? Dan, just don't say that. Yeah, Like Steve said,
- 31:19Speaker 1: let it go on another note, Um, if you guys
- 31:22Speaker 1: have not seen the movie Harriet, please go see it.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I know a lot of people are saying, you know,
- 31:28Speaker 1: they don't want to see it because it looks like
- 31:29Speaker 1: just another slave movie and you're gonna be mad and
- 31:32Speaker 1: all of that. But it's really a movie about empowerment
- 31:35Speaker 1: and about a woman who, um just was so strong
- 31:40Speaker 1: in her conviction. She walked into her purpose. She didn't
- 31:43Speaker 1: know what it was initially, but you know, she just
- 31:47Speaker 1: walked into her purpose. She listened to God. She freed
- 31:49Speaker 1: these slaves. I mean, it's a it's an outstanding movie. Excellent, excellent,
- 31:59Speaker 1: excellent X. And so was Vanessa bell Callaway who paid
- 32:03Speaker 1: her mother and you know, we love us some. Vanessa
- 32:05Speaker 1: Belle Callaway and she. I mean, the movie is just great.
- 32:09Speaker 1: It's it's really good. You gotta go check it out. Now.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Are there some areas where you might get a little upset, Yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 1: because it's it is about she was a slave, so yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 1: so you're gonna get a little mad. But that's not
- 32:20Speaker 1: what the movie's about. You gotta go see this movie.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It's very empowering, very much so, very much so. Yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 1: all right, Steve, let's get to some headlines please, ladies
- 32:33Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, thank you very much, everybody.
- 32:37Speaker 1: This is Entrop with the news. Well, today is election
- 32:39Speaker 1: day across the nation. Some racist being watched to see
- 32:42Speaker 1: if they may indicate how next year is presidential election
- 32:45Speaker 1: may go. For instance, there's a bitter race going on
- 32:47Speaker 1: for governor today in Kentucky, whether Republican incumbent Matt Devon
- 32:50Speaker 1: is being challenged by Democrat Attorney General Andy Bruschier. In Mississippi,
- 32:54Speaker 1: the Republican Lieutenant Governor Tate Reeves is facing the state
- 32:57Speaker 1: attorney general, Democrat Jimhood. We'll see how the races turnout.
- 33:01Speaker 1: In New Jersey, all eighty seats of the Garden State
- 33:03Speaker 1: Assembly are up for grabs. One state Senate seat in
- 33:06Speaker 1: the Garden State as well. There are also three House
- 33:08Speaker 1: seats suffered grabs in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Looking at
- 33:12Speaker 1: next year's presidential election. A North Carolina court has temporarily
- 33:15Speaker 1: blocked the tar He'll Stay from using its current congressional
- 33:18Speaker 1: map in the twenty twenty election cycle, stalling suggesting that
- 33:21Speaker 1: it will eventually rule that the district lines were illegally
- 33:24Speaker 1: drawn in the first place to favor the election of
- 33:26Speaker 1: more Republican candidates than Democrats. President Trump meanwhile hosted the
- 33:30Speaker 1: World Series champion Nationals at the White House yesterday. Members
- 33:33Speaker 1: of the ball club were honored on the White House
- 33:36Speaker 1: South lawn along with several thousand fans. The President talked
- 33:39Speaker 1: about the DC team's newfound fame, but being who he is,
- 33:42Speaker 1: he also stirred in a little politics. America fell in
- 33:45Speaker 1: love with the Nats baseball. They just fell in love
- 33:48Speaker 1: with That's baseball. That's all they wanted to talk about.
- 33:52Speaker 1: That an impeachment by the way House investigators are criticizing
- 33:55Speaker 1: four White House officials for refusing to testify on Monday
- 33:59Speaker 1: in the appeachment query. They were in order not to
- 34:01Speaker 1: testify by the President mean while a federal appeals court
- 34:04Speaker 1: in New York at this has rejected President of Trump's
- 34:07Speaker 1: appeal and intended to allow him to keep his tax
- 34:09Speaker 1: records under wraps. That's not a go, the judge. The
- 34:12Speaker 1: three judge panel ruled at both his corporate and personal
- 34:14Speaker 1: attacks returns must be turned over to a state grand jury.
- 34:18Speaker 1: The judges rejected Trump's argument that he's supposedly immune from
- 34:21Speaker 1: criminal prosecution while he's in the White House. A kilobar
- 34:24Speaker 1: a man arrested for allegly plotting to blow up a
- 34:26Speaker 1: synagogue in that in Colorado. Authorities state twenty seven year
- 34:30Speaker 1: old Richard Holtzer spewed a lot of white supremacists and
- 34:32Speaker 1: anti Semitic hatred he was planning, he says, to poison
- 34:36Speaker 1: the water in the building, and then bombed the building.
- 34:39Speaker 1: The Huffington Post says an elementary school principal and teaching
- 34:41Speaker 1: utah both suspended but with pay, for letting a student
- 34:44Speaker 1: march in last week's Halloween parade wearing a Nazi costume
- 34:47Speaker 1: complete with mustache, red armband swastika seen on video raising
- 34:51Speaker 1: his arm and hyle hitlering a few minority students at
- 34:53Speaker 1: the school. Some parents alarmed. They called the school. One
- 34:57Speaker 1: youngster one parent said that the school was hold it.
- 35:00Speaker 1: They thought that he was imitating Charlie Chaplin. Finally, it's
- 35:05Speaker 1: National Gunpower Day. We held back to the Steve Harby
- 35:10Speaker 1: Morning Show. Goodness, gracious, you're listening to this show. All right,
- 35:16Speaker 1: So today is election day. Please go vote in your
- 35:20Speaker 1: local elections in your community. We cannot stress that enough.
- 35:24Speaker 1: There are gouber gubernatorial races going on in Kentucky, Mississippi,
- 35:29Speaker 1: and Louisiana. In addition, there are local elections all over
- 35:33Speaker 1: the country, and voters will vote locally on numerous citizen
- 35:36Speaker 1: initiatives municipal mayoral races in Houston, San Francisco, and Philly,
- 35:42Speaker 1: just to name a few. Plus make sure you vote
- 35:45Speaker 1: in your community for locally um, for city council and
- 35:49Speaker 1: for school board members, various ballot and bond measures and referendums,
- 35:53Speaker 1: plus state legislative elections going on in Virginia, Maryland, Mississippi, Louisiana,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and New Jersey. And there will be a few special
- 36:01Speaker 1: federal elections to replace members who have resigned. Bottom Line, Steve,
- 36:06Speaker 1: you gotta tell him to get out and vote clear
- 36:08Speaker 1: all of y'all that went down there and got in
- 36:10Speaker 1: them Chick fil A and Popeyed line. Need to have
- 36:13Speaker 1: yall just that pole out said, that's what y'all need
- 36:17Speaker 1: to be doing. Put Yeah, just put the poling out there,
- 36:21Speaker 1: polling any time. He saying, put a booth at the
- 36:26Speaker 1: chicken house. That's what he say. You think about a
- 36:30Speaker 1: strip of pole. I'm sorry, I don't have elevator thinking
- 36:35Speaker 1: at times. My apologies, Junior. All I saw was a
- 36:40Speaker 1: pole outside the chicken will make you put over though,
- 36:45Speaker 1: that will pay. But back to the importance of voting
- 36:55Speaker 1: seed Yeah, well, I mean really, I mean Tommy said
- 36:58Speaker 1: it best to be honest with you. You know, Yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 1: I mean you got it at one point in time.
- 37:04Speaker 1: We've got to figure this thing out. You're not happy
- 37:08Speaker 1: with the government now. We can't vote on foreign policy.
- 37:12Speaker 1: We can't vote when they say build a wall or
- 37:15Speaker 1: not build a wall. We can't vote when they banned
- 37:18Speaker 1: seven Muslim countries from traveling. We have no say so
- 37:21Speaker 1: with trade embargo with China or anything else. We can't
- 37:26Speaker 1: get on the phone call when you're discussing the bidens
- 37:28Speaker 1: with Ukraine. We can't do any of that. But what
- 37:32Speaker 1: you can do is determine who's up there making those
- 37:37Speaker 1: phone calls, making those trade decisions, and deciding who can
- 37:42Speaker 1: travel in and out of this country. You have a
- 37:45Speaker 1: say so in that by who you put into office.
- 37:48Speaker 1: So the importance of voting, it's never gonna diminish. That's
- 37:52Speaker 1: why our forefathers died for us to have the right
- 37:54Speaker 1: to vote. Their faue fathers came up. None of our
- 37:58Speaker 1: faue fathers came up with that institution that don't include
- 38:01Speaker 1: us many times. But we have the right to vote,
- 38:04Speaker 1: and we should exercise that right at every opportunity to
- 38:07Speaker 1: produce change. Good damn, She'll make sure they ain't up
- 38:10Speaker 1: to a gear. That's right, Steve. Democracy cannot survive without
- 38:16Speaker 1: public participation in the electoral process. Okay, please get out
- 38:20Speaker 1: and vote. Like Steve said, all right, the second round
- 38:22Speaker 1: of Chicken sandwich Wars are back on. Guys. We'll talk
- 38:28Speaker 1: about it coming up at thirty four after the hour.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to Steven Show. Well, here
- 38:35Speaker 1: we go again. Everyone's talking about it. This is the
- 38:39Speaker 1: second round of the most famous chicken sandwich war in
- 38:43Speaker 1: the history of wars. Almost Popeye's chicken sandwiches are back,
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yes they are. Meanwhile, Chick fil A send an email
- 38:51Speaker 1: to their loyalty members promoting National Chickens National Sandwich Day,
- 38:55Speaker 1: which was on this past Sunday, and that's the day
- 38:59Speaker 1: they are closed, by the way Chick fil A. However,
- 39:01Speaker 1: Chick fil A did send a retraction to the email, noting,
- 39:04Speaker 1: while this is awkward, adding an apology to any confusion,
- 39:08Speaker 1: and tell their customers see you soon. Meanwhile, Popeyes, I
- 39:14Speaker 1: don't get it. Meanwhile, Popeyes brought back their chicken sandwich
- 39:18Speaker 1: on Sunday. They had a little fun at Chick fil
- 39:21Speaker 1: A's expense. Popeyes tweeted this message to their customers. This
- 39:25Speaker 1: is not a drill. We're fully stocked. So if you
- 39:28Speaker 1: guys remember you guys remember back in August, Popeyes first
- 39:34Speaker 1: unveiled their chicken sandwiches, and the reaction was it was craziness.
- 39:37Speaker 1: It was absolute pandemonium in this country. It caused Popeye's
- 39:42Speaker 1: restaurants to blow through their entire inventory of chicken in
- 39:46Speaker 1: a matter of days. Even Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson
- 39:51Speaker 1: said that Popeye's chicken sandwich was the key to his success. Huh,
- 40:00Speaker 1: hold on, man, but hold on this chicken wall sandwich.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Chicken sandwich? Man, Yeah, this don't make no sense. Where
- 40:09Speaker 1: is your life? Where you got two hours to stand
- 40:15Speaker 1: and wait on a chicken sandwich? What has happened to
- 40:20Speaker 1: my life? Well? I got two hours of my time
- 40:24Speaker 1: to stand in line waiting to get a taste of
- 40:29Speaker 1: a chicken sand I'm sorry, man, I ain't got two
- 40:34Speaker 1: hours for no chicken sandwich. You know how much gas
- 40:37Speaker 1: you burning in your car at a drive through? Then
- 40:40Speaker 1: you got to wait? In life? What you could be
- 40:42Speaker 1: doing that's productive? And you waiting on a chicken sandwich? Boy?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Huh what? What? My life? Can't ever had that much
- 40:55Speaker 1: time to throw away? Oh? I want to cuss you,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I said, careful, Oh I want. I think I would
- 41:05Speaker 1: hit home with a little bit more punch. Has anyone
- 41:09Speaker 1: on the show had one? No? I am hand one. Yes,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not getting the line like that. No,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I'm just not only for Jesus while I stand in
- 41:17Speaker 1: a line like that? Serious? And I can't stand in
- 41:22Speaker 1: a line. I didn't. It wasn't that long of a line. Well,

- 53:14Speaker 1: this one right here, right now. All right, buckle up,
- 53:19Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you here. It
- 53:21Speaker 1: is Golberry Letter, subject my sugar Daddy Isn't so Sweet anymore?
- 53:27Speaker 1: Just Stephen Shirley. I've been dealing with an older man
- 53:30Speaker 1: for a year. He's sixty six years old and I'm
- 53:34Speaker 1: thirty years old, so I guess you can call him
- 53:37Speaker 1: my sugar daddy. I also have a boyfriend that is
- 53:39Speaker 1: my age. We've been dating for three years and he
- 53:42Speaker 1: knows about the older guy, and he doesn't mind because
- 53:45Speaker 1: I told him that he is my uncle. Older guy
- 53:49Speaker 1: takes me to and from work every day because my
- 53:52Speaker 1: boyfriend works an overnight shift. The older man gives me
- 53:55Speaker 1: tons of money and pays my cell phone bill, and
- 53:58Speaker 1: my boyfriend never has questioned it. I've never had any
- 54:01Speaker 1: type of sexual relations with the older man, but he's
- 54:04Speaker 1: been to my apartment a few times while my boyfriend
- 54:07Speaker 1: was at work. He does not know I have a
- 54:09Speaker 1: boyfriend at all. I always knew the situation was too
- 54:13Speaker 1: good to be true, and I wasn't surprised when the
- 54:15Speaker 1: older guys started dropping hints about having sex. Recently, he's
- 54:19Speaker 1: been asking to come spend the night with me, or
- 54:22Speaker 1: he wants us to go away together. One weekend, he
- 54:25Speaker 1: said he has been treating me like a queen and
- 54:27Speaker 1: it's time for me to start treating him like my king.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I got so disgusted and wanted to give him all
- 54:33Speaker 1: of his money back right then. I love my boyfriend
- 54:37Speaker 1: and the sex with him is great, so there is
- 54:39Speaker 1: no way I am going to cheat with this old man.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I've been putting him off with all kinds of excuses
- 54:44Speaker 1: when he starts talking about coming over at night. I
- 54:47Speaker 1: have stopped riding to work with him, but paying for
- 54:50Speaker 1: rides to work is getting expensive. Do you think it's
- 54:53Speaker 1: possible to have the best of both worlds keeping my
- 54:55Speaker 1: older man and my boyfriend. Do you think the old
- 55:00Speaker 1: guy will stop being so generous if I tell him
- 55:02Speaker 1: I don't want to have sex with him. I am
- 55:04Speaker 1: new to all of this and I need some advice.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Please help. Well, yeah, he is definitely your sugar daddy. Okay, definitely,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and in his mind, he has been very, very nice
- 55:16Speaker 1: to you, and he wants to return on his investment.
- 55:20Speaker 1: You guys have been dealing with each other for one year.
- 55:23Speaker 1: That's a long time in other words, And I really
- 55:26Speaker 1: hate to put it this way, but he wants you
- 55:28Speaker 1: to pay up now. You got to sleep with him now.
- 55:30Speaker 1: So unless you're ready to do that, and it doesn't
- 55:34Speaker 1: sound like you are, I think it's best you leave
- 55:37Speaker 1: this sugar daddy alone. You got to break up with him.
- 55:41Speaker 1: You can't take any more of his money. You said
- 55:43Speaker 1: you felt like giving him all of his money back.
- 55:46Speaker 1: You might have to do that. Okay, leave this man alone,
- 55:50Speaker 1: and you know what, guess what, this is another thing
- 55:52Speaker 1: I'm not buying. You're thirty years old. I know you
- 55:54Speaker 1: said you're new to all this, but you've been doing
- 55:56Speaker 1: this for a year now. I don't think you're that naive.
- 56:00Speaker 1: You know, you know what sugar daddies do. You you
- 56:03Speaker 1: haven't heard of a sugar daddy. You even called him
- 56:05Speaker 1: a sugar daddy yourself. This is what they do, Okay.
- 56:08Speaker 1: They get young girls, they buy them things and stuff
- 56:11Speaker 1: like that, and a lot of times, you know, their
- 56:13Speaker 1: sexual favors involved. That's how it goes. Now you've been
- 56:17Speaker 1: dealing with him for a whole year. You told your
- 56:19Speaker 1: boyfriend of three years that this was your uncle, So
- 56:23Speaker 1: I don't believe you're that naive with all of this. Um.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You know, the sex with your boyfriend is great. Uh,
- 56:30Speaker 1: the thought of sex with this older man is making
- 56:33Speaker 1: you disgusted. So you need to leave this man alone.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Because he wants to sleep with you. He wants to
- 56:40Speaker 1: be treated like he's your king, because he treats you
- 56:44Speaker 1: like you're his queen. So all the stuff is right
- 56:47Speaker 1: in the letter. If you don't want to do any
- 56:49Speaker 1: of this stuff, it's time for you to move on. Steve. Uh,
- 56:54Speaker 1: you know this matter is Uh, it's I don't like
- 56:59Speaker 1: what people write letters and try to be slick, but
- 57:03Speaker 1: then you write a letter like you're writing a letter
- 57:05Speaker 1: into somebody. That's stupid and we're not and surely lightly
- 57:11Speaker 1: touches his on it. But I'm just having you in
- 57:14Speaker 1: the head with this because this is this is bullcrapping.
- 57:18Speaker 1: This is the game and both of y'all playing. So
- 57:22Speaker 1: don't write this letter all innocent like you. My sugar
- 57:26Speaker 1: dad isn't so sweet anymore. Now you've been dealing with
- 57:29Speaker 1: this older man for a year. What does that mean?
- 57:32Speaker 1: I've been dealing dealing with this older man for a year.
- 57:38Speaker 1: He's sixty six, you thirty, So I guess you can
- 57:43Speaker 1: call him my sugar dad. You ain't got to guess nothing.
- 57:46Speaker 1: You know what you're doing. Stop thirty three year age difference,
- 57:52Speaker 1: like you don't know what that is. Get out of here.
- 57:54Speaker 1: Also got a boyfriend that's my age. We've been dating
- 57:57Speaker 1: for three years and he knows about the old the guy,
- 58:00Speaker 1: and he don't mind because I told him that he's
- 58:03Speaker 1: my uncle. Okay, so you're a liar too, that's that's
- 58:09Speaker 1: that's what. And you act like you don't know what
- 58:11Speaker 1: this game is. You've been dealing with this sixty six
- 58:15Speaker 1: year old man and you thirty, and your boyfriend is
- 58:18Speaker 1: cool with it because you told him your uncle. Why
- 58:21Speaker 1: don't you ever tell your boyfriend what he really was
- 58:24Speaker 1: to you. Did you ever tell him you have a
- 58:27Speaker 1: sugar daddy? The older guy takes me to work every
- 58:30Speaker 1: day because my boyfriend works an overnight shift. The older
- 58:33Speaker 1: man gives me tons of money and pays my cell
- 58:36Speaker 1: phone being and my boyfriend never has question it. That's
- 58:39Speaker 1: because you told him it was your uncle. That's why
- 58:43Speaker 1: he ain't questioned it, because he trusts you. Man. I
- 58:47Speaker 1: show hope your boyfriend listening to this letter you didn't
- 58:50Speaker 1: wrote in because you're a trip. You know. You know something, y'all.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna call it like it like it is when
- 58:56Speaker 1: a woman is tricky, you know, I mean, what is
- 58:59Speaker 1: that now when the dude tricky? If this was a
- 59:01Speaker 1: dude doing this, women be upset everywhere. But there's women
- 59:04Speaker 1: upset with you too, because there's women out there trying
- 59:07Speaker 1: to find a good man and can't get one, And
- 59:10Speaker 1: now you got one, and you're gonna add the old
- 59:12Speaker 1: dude to it. Then gonna play naive. He gives you.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I've never had any type of sexual relationship with old man,
- 59:19Speaker 1: but he's been in my apartment a few times while
- 59:21Speaker 1: my boyfriend was at work. You had another man in
- 59:23Speaker 1: your house while your boyfriends that work. Oh so now
- 59:27Speaker 1: you're a liar, you're a gold digger, and you're tricky.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right. We'll have part two of Steve's
- 59:39Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three after the hour. Today's
- 59:42Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject my sugar daddy isn't so sweet anymore.
- 59:46Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 59:52Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters
- 59:55Speaker 1: subject my sugar daddy isn't so sweet anymore? Yeah. Well,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: this little thirty year old girl dating his sixty six
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: year old dude. She didn't call him a sugar daddy.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: She got a boyfriend as her age. They've been dated
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: for three years. He know about the older guy, but
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: he don't mind because she didn't lie to him. Told
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: him this his uncle. The older guy takes me to
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: and from work every day because my boyfriend works an
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: overnight shift. So now you're using the older man. The
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: older man gives me tons of money, pays my cell
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: phone bill, and my boyfriend never has questioned it. The
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: reason he ain't question is because you lied tricky with
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: your boyfriend, told him this was your uncle, So how
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: would he raise questions. Your uncle giving you a ride
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: to work. That ain't no big deal. I've never had
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: any type of sexual relationship with the older man, but
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: he's been to my apartment a few times while my
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: boyfriend was at work. Okay, you tricky. He does not
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: know that I have a boyfriend at all. Stop. Wait
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: a minute. You're trying to tell me that a sixty
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: six year old man don't know that the thirty year
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: old old girl got a boyfriend. Are you crazy you
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: think that a sixty six year old man who liked
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: what he liked think he the only one that like it?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Are you serious? You think this dude is a fool? No,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the dude has been paying you this money. Ain't been
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: saying nothing because, like Shirley said, he's been investing. Well,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: you know, he's been playing seeds and now he wants
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: some props because he's smart. He patient the old school.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: He knows what he's doing. I'm gonna just work it. See,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: guy got news for you. You ain't the only one
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: he got. He just like you think you, ain't never
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: done this before. He hadn't done this before. He know
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the game. He'd have done this before. He didn't help
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: somebody out before. He know how to do this hire,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: but you think you tricking him and he does not
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: know that I have a boyfriend or yeah, little girl,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: get out of here. Always knew this situation was too
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: good to be true, and I wasn't surprised when the
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: older guy. Now I know you aren't surprised because you
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: knew why he was giving you the money in the
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: first place. I wasn't surprised when the older guy started
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: dropping hints about having sex. Yeah, you knew that. That's
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: why you wasn't surprised. You know this man ain't doing
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: all this for you, complimenting you on how you look today.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Have a nice day, baby. If you need anything, let
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: me know, give me that cell phone bill. You knew
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: what he wanted in the first place. Now, recently he's
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: been asking to come spend the night with me, or
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: he wants us to go away together. One weekend, he
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: said he's been treating me like a queen, and it's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: time for me to start treating him like his king. Bam,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: make sense, don't it make perfect sense to everybody reading
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the letter? So I got disgusting and wanted to give
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: him all his money back right then, but you didn't,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: did you. I got disgusted and wanted to give him
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: all his money back right then. But you didn't, did you.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Bet you ain't gave him a quarterback. Bet you ain't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: gave him sell phone back. You ain't did none of
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: that back. Why are you disgusting? What you know? What
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: was happening. I love my boyfriend and the sex with
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: him is great. When you love people, you don't do
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: stuff like this to him. So you need to define.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: You need to read define. You need to redefine what
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: love is because you don't know. I love my boyfriend
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: and the sex with him is great, So there's no
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: way I'm going to cheat with this old man. Okay,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: so what's the leather food? Then I've been putting him
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: off with all kinds of excuses. No. See, the way
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: you do is you end the relationship. But see, you've
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: been putting them off with all kinds of excuses because
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you want the money to keep coming and the ride
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: to keep coming. Because you're tricky, you're a gold digger,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you're a hustler. You're playing the game and not it's
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: time to pay off. That's why you keep making all
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: kinds of excuses. Why don't you just say, hey, look,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: this is not what I want, but you want the money.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: When he started talking about coming overnight, I have stopped
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: riding to work with him. But paying for rising work
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: is getting expensive? What does that called uber? What is that?
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Paying for rising work is getting expensive? That's called uber?
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: They called car service cabs? Uh, lemos whatever? Do you
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: think it's possible to have the best of both worlds?
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: So see, here's a letter from a person who's tricky
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: and they want being Shirley to provide a way for
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: her to keep being tricky. Shirley then told you that
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: this man want to return on his investment. Do you
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: think the older guy will stop being so generous? You're
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: after his generosity, he after your things if I tell
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: him I don't want to have sex with him. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: am new to all of this and I need some advice.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: You're the lyingest ship. You knew to You new to what?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Like Shirley said, you've been doing it over you you
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: put it damn experienced at it. If you ask us,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: you ain't new to this, you game. You knew to
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: getting busted. It's what it is. You knew to what
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: it's when this pay up time. You knew to that.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: You thought this game was gonna continue like this girl,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: get out of here. We ain't giving you no damn advice.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Keep playing this game. You know what you're gonna do.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: You're gonna lose the old man and your boyfriend. Because
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: I hope your boyfriend is listening the one that you
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: told it. This is your uncle. You've been lying to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: this boy a trip man. Man, Get up out of here,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: little girl, go somewhere. This ain'tybody playing the ranking games
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: with you. All right? You heard it? Post your comments
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: and faithbook. But one last thing, Shelly, But I'll tell
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you what. If you sleep with the sixty six year
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: old dude, you might find yourself out something. Oh coming up,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I don't forget to check out it ain't New to
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Him podcast on demand coming up in forty six after
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the hour. In a new Fox News poll, Joe Biden
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: is the candidate to most likely beat Donald Trump. We'll
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to this
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Dave Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys, today is election day.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Make sure you get out and vote in your local
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: elections in your community. Okay, please do this, Yeah, you
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: goote get it done, and other trending election news. Yeah
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: it is seriously. According to a new poll from Fox News,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: former VP Joe Biden is the Democratic candidate most likely
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: to beat Donald Trump in the twenty twenty presidential election. Now,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: if Biden ends up as a demo as the Democratic nominee,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: fifty one percent of registered voters say they'd vote for him,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: while thirty nine percent say they'd vote for Trump. With
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: registered independence, Biden has a thirty three percent to twenty
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: three percent win over Trump, but twenty twenty percent say
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: they would vote for another that's neither Biden nor Trump,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and another sixteen percent were undecided. They need to make
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: some decisions. In the poll, nearly every demographic had Trump behind,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: except with white people. Forty six percent of them said
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: they would vote for him over Biden, while forty four
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: percent said they picked Biden. So there you go. What
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: do you work to do? Yes, yeah, we do. I
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: mean look very close survey. When you break it down racially,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: it's box and then and Fox is a conservative, right
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: wing network, so they are working on behalf of Trump.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: But now see you gotta be careful about these surveys
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: because they put out that he's behind everywhere except when
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: it comes to Now this is according to Fox, white
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: people forty six percent. So what that's to do is
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: that energizes his face. That's why they would say that.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: It makes people think that, oh my god, white people
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: are voting for him, Well, what's wrong with us? So
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: that so what they're trying to send a message is
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: to the other white people, wait a minute, what are
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you doing. The rest of us are over here, We
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: get it. Why don't you get it? Same thing that
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: happens in jerry rooms around the country. So you have
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: to be very careful with these things, especially when it
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: comes from Fox. Just be aware that you have to vote.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what the poles say. How many people
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: own a pole when they take a poll, how many
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: people they never tell us it don't be money. It depends.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Sometimes they tell us, I'm gonna ask y'all, has anybody
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: ever asked y'all a pole question? All right, listen? Coming
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, as we move
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: ahead here, Pempin is in the building. He's going to
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: discuss the trending NFL news about the Browns, Steve and
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: the Ravens. That's coming up right after this. You're listening show?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: All right, here we go. It is time for the
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: one and I'll la pimpin in the building. Come on now,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: what's up? What's up with pimp? What's up? Junior? Junior? Junior? Man?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: What's up? Man? The only dude on the show with
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: a pimp voice like me? What's up with you? Junior?
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: It's up? Tommy? What's up? Man? How you doing? Bro?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: My man? Everything? Good hood, I'm everything, I'm everything. He's
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: up with you? Chocolate? What's happening pimping? What's going on?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Ain't nothing? Ain't nothing nothing? It was up, Shirley? How
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: you hate Pempin? How you doing? Everybody? Good? One? I'm
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: doing good. I'm like man, it's all right. I'm over
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: here with Steve and Botswana? Okay, Yeah what is that?
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: You you see it? Yeah? See you like it? Yeah?
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Yeah you know what this is? You know they say
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: they got like a he even got a trip with
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: me because they say they got way do minutes in Boswana.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: So I figured, hey, let me help you out. That's nice.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: So what's happening, Pip? I'm glad? You're here, man, what
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: you think about a Lamar Jackson man? And then Baltimore
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Ravens they beat Hey, hey, I don't know if y'a
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: don't remember, but that was Pippin's upset pick of the week.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I called that. He did that.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you why I picked it. You know,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: he comes. Then Cleveland Browns the week before they was
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: running all over and then they just throwing the ball
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: to the wrong fumbling and on that and knee and penalty.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Then because they're making me look gh it together win
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: this year. I'm boss wanna I heard about that late
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Mann't make no damn sense the coach something wrong up down.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I think it's a coach h ain't got the talent
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: man to play calling be crazy. I'm gonna I could
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: have called that play from Africa better than that. You know, Hey, Pepper, Hey,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Pepper man, I don't know if you heard about this
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: man speaking of Cleveland, man, I don't know if you
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: heard about this, but defensive back, uh, Jermaine Whitehead went
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: off on a Browns fan man and like threading to
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: kill him and then they let him go. They cut
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: him from the team, man, I mean, what what what's
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: going on? Yeah? You can't do to kill nobody? Yeah
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: yeah you clean, you can't kill it. And we ain't
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: got that minute. But you're that man. But the here
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you gonna kill a fan? Rot to be ain't tackling nobody.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I didn't even know that man. That's crazy. He threatened
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: to kill a fan. Yeah man in a tweet? Yeah
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: yeah they got it. Yeah yeah right, so you just
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: committing terrorist threats show fingers damn and then also pimping U.

- 1:12:36Speaker 1: some love to Miami. Man. They won their first game man,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: twenty six eighteen. Yeah, I ain't gotta get no love
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: to Miami for that A little bit, A little bit

- 1:13:35Speaker 1: more fun on the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: minutes after this hour. So girl, right after this, you're
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So tell
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: me something good. Here's some Steve Harvey Morning Show. Good news.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: All right. The Pardon and Parole Board in Oklahoma released
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: four hundred and fifty prison inmates yesterday. This is the
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: largest single day commutation in US history. All of the
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: inmates served time for non violent crimes that would no
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: longer be considered felonies if they were charged today. Governor
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Kevin Stitt said more than four hundred and fifty Oklahoma's
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: are getting a second chance today. The board can sis
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: releasing as many as eight hundred fourteen inmates. Another sixty
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: five are expected to have their sentences commute it soon.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: The massive release will also save the state of Oklahoma
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: about twelve million dollars. I love that seventy five percent
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: of the inmates being released are mail. Most of the
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: inmates have served at least three years in prison. Wow,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: that is good news. I've been I've been hearing about
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: these things. And what somebody had a funny tweet that
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: people in prison that have been in prison for selling marijuana,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: using marijuana, things like that got to be so shy
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: here because now it's legal and the right the government
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: and the state is selling weed now and they're making
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: a profit off of what they have to do prison
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: time for. So I think it's a great move. I
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: wish a lot of states would follow that. That would
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: be a great move. Yeah, yeah, it really would. Kudos. Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: all right, more of the Sea Harvy Morning Show and
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the hour right after this you're listening to show. All right,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: So today is election day. Please go vote in your

- 1:16:36Speaker 1: after Polands voting time. He's saying, put a booth at
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the chicken house that yeah, you think you do? A
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: strip of pop elevated thinking at times, My apologies, Junior,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: all I saw was a pouch. But back to the
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: importance of voting. Yeah, well, I mean really, I mean
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Tommy saying it best to be honest with you. You know,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: at one point in time, we've got to figure this
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: thing out. You're not happy with the government. Now. We
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: can't vote on foreign policy. We can't vote when they
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: say build the wall or not build a wall. We
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: can't vote when they banned seven Muslim countries from traveling.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: We have no say so with trade embargo with China
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: or anything else. We can't get on the phone call
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: when you're discussing the bidens with Ukraine. We can't do
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: any of that. But what you can do is determine
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: who's up there making those phone calls, making those trade decisions,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: and deciding who can travel in and out of this country.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: You have to say so in that by who you
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: put into off this. So the importance of voting is
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: never gonna diminish. That's why our forefathers died for us
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to have the right to vote. They faue fathers came up.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: None of our Faue fathers came up with that constitution
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: that don't include us many times. But we have the
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: right to vote, and we should exercise that right at
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: every opportunity to produce change. Coming up, our last break
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: of the day and some closing remarks from the one
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey right after this at forty nine
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: minutes after you're listening show. All right, here we go.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Um a good Tuesday, right, guys,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: that's most important election day. Get out and vote, all right?
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Come tell her? Can I ask you something? Yeah? Something?
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: Since you know Thanksgiving coming up? Uh? Good hand? What
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: did it used to be sick from cannot you say
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: we gonna get a Ham and you know you're gonna
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: get a cure at Ham? But why do I want
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: a Ham that used to be sick? What did Can
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: you explain to me what cue at Ham? What did
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: it used to have? Because I don't want to eat
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: something that it like if it had the flu or
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, I don't know what cue
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: a Ham used to have? You know? Who is he
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: going to be in the mood for closing remarks after
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: this stupid blank question? But ain't ain't it gets cured
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: or something? So it had something at one point in time? Boy,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: So why would I want to eat that? This show
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: was dedicated to smart people? What is he talking? But
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: why don't know about it? From the dude who fall back?
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Remember he didn't come to work yesterday because he thought
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: we were supposed to fall back? Yeah, two people, why
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: would you go in if you're supposed to fall back?
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Don't be silly man, you're silly behind Yeah, because I
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: gave the word. Now I'm asking y'all about a cured Ham.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: If it's cute, it means it's sick or something. And
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: we all had something at one time. You can't. I
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: don't want to know what Steve, you hired him? What?
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: What what I have to do is focus on closing remarks.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I don't have time. Yeah, you're no I will. I will.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Let you get in the closer remarks. Yeah wow, let
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: him focus Tommy, Yeah, here we go. Let me just
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: start my closer remarks. But I said sometimes on your
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: way to the top, you're gonna meet a lot of
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: people that try to pull you down when you meet them,
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: even if their relatives just keep moving, Stay on the wall.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Don't let them pull you down. Stay on the wall.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: You don't have to deal with their family members. You
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: didn't choose them. You were born with them. I was
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: born with him. Let me get to some closer remarks
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: to try to help somebody. Hey, y'all listen. One of
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: the one of the situations that you're going to run
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: into on your way to success is called setbacks. Life
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: is filled with setbacks. You're going to run into them constantly.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I've said this a hundred times on the show, that
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: the road to success is always under construction. So you
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: have to understand that it is a part of becoming successful.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: The reason you have setbacks and trials and tribulations on
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: your way to fulfilling your dreams is because you need
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: to to gain experience at certain situations, so when they
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: crop up again further down the road, as you get
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: closer to where you're trying to go, you will have
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: the skill set, the wisdom, and the understanding to deal
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: with it. You are simply when a setback comes in
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: front of you, you are being tested. It's like in school,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: the teacher can stand up in the front and tell
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you something all she wants, but to make sure you've
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: got it, she has a test sometimes to test, or
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: sudden they call pop quizes. You know you don't have
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: time to get ready for him, but they just pop up.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: Or sometimes she'd have an oil examine, just have everybody
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: stand and call out an answer. Trouble. Trouble doesn't have
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: an alert, They don't sound an alarm. Trouble just shows
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: up unannounced. Trouble don't make announcement. Trouble don't make appointments
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: in your life. Trouble just shows up. It's like out
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: of nowhere. But what you get as you pass these
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: tests in life is you become more experienced. So there
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: will come a time in your life through experience where
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you will say, okay, I've seen that before. Okay, that
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: looks like it's could be trouble over there, because those
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: are the symptoms I saw before that I fell into
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: and boom you can you can get past that one,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: or boom, you can side step it, or boom you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: can face it head on and know exactly how to
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: deal with it because you've seen it again. Every time
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you have a setback, it is in preparation for things
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: to come. Stop viewing setbacks as final points to end something.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Don't look at a setback as oh well it wasn't
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: meant to be. Stop looking at setbacks as old man,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: what is God trying to tell me? No, it's not
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: that way at all. Oftentimes you're being tested, tested and
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: prepared for the next level you are about to get to.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: You have got to become more seasoned, more experienced as
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you climb the letter and you get to the next level.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: So stop looking at your setbacks what you are going
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: to happen as signs that it ain't meant to be,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: or it's too hard. Yes it's hard, Yeah it is hard.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: But man, like I've said so many times, ain't not
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: being successful hard too, man. So if you're gonna face
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: hardship and one can lead to success, and you can
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: face hardships and the other one can lead to not
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: having the life of your dreams and being unsuccessful, which
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: which one of them roads you're gonna take. I'll take
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: the hardships with a means to my ending instead of
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: just hardship and sitting there accepting life as it goes.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Every time you have a setback, it's to prepare you
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: for the next level. So get on with it, deal
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: with it, prayer about it, keep God in your life
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: and he'll get you through it, just like he always
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: has in your past. Those are my closing remarks today.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: And Hello, have yourself a good weekend, Tommy, don't we're
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: about the ham Turkey is Thanksgiving. Eat turkey for it. Hey,
