- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: just like theming bu bu things and it's not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve Hartley, I don't join. You gotta use that turn
- 1:13Speaker 1: ver you gotta turn to turn them out. Got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out, to turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby, huh, I sure will. Good morning
- 2:04Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, Come on, jig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I thank God for it every day. I try to
- 2:14Speaker 1: remember that too, you know. I try to remember to
- 2:17Speaker 1: be grateful. I think gratitude is one of the things
- 2:21Speaker 1: that helps keep me grounded. You can go as far
- 2:24Speaker 1: as you want in life. If you don't mind who
- 2:26Speaker 1: gets the credit. Well that applies to God too, don't it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I mean, you know, really, if you don't mind who
- 2:32Speaker 1: gets the credit. I'm surrounded by very competent people. I'm
- 2:38Speaker 1: surrounded by a lot of people who work hard on
- 2:42Speaker 1: their jobs, on their career, who are dedicated employees and
- 2:48Speaker 1: also just dedicated to their families and you know, dedicated
- 2:52Speaker 1: to their own set of aspirations. I don't expect anybody
- 2:55Speaker 1: to work for me whatever. I always look at my
- 2:59Speaker 1: job opportunities are stepping stones because I want everyone around
- 3:04Speaker 1: me really to aspire to be more. I mean, that's
- 3:08Speaker 1: really the way I am. I'm not any other way.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm not trying to hold you to this position. You know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: tell you there's no room for growth any of that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But even though I'm surrounded by these people, I'm grateful
- 3:23Speaker 1: that God placed them in my path, in my life.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But in my mind, in my spirit, in everything in me,
- 3:37Speaker 1: the credit still belongs to God. I'm sorry, the credit
- 3:42Speaker 1: still belongs to God. See if you were just for
- 3:47Speaker 1: a moment, stop thinking about yourself, just for a moment.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I know that's hard, but just for a moment, stop
- 3:56Speaker 1: thinking about yourself and realize that maybe you are who
- 4:00Speaker 1: you are because God is who he is. Maybe that's
- 4:04Speaker 1: the case. Have you ever considered that? That's the strongest
- 4:08Speaker 1: possibility I can give to you? You know, how do
- 4:12Speaker 1: you think? Are you the one that made it through?
- 4:16Speaker 1: How you think you the one after all of the
- 4:20Speaker 1: ignorant decisions we have made? And oh my goodness, let's
- 4:23Speaker 1: all be honest. Ain't we made some crazy decisions. I'm
- 4:27Speaker 1: talking about man, I have made decisions so adverse to
- 4:32Speaker 1: my destiny and career, my promises. I've made some decisions man,
- 4:38Speaker 1: knowingly you hear me knowingly do something wrong, And in
- 4:43Speaker 1: spite of all that, I'm still here standing. Okay, come
- 4:47Speaker 1: on now, really, really, all the dirt you've been done,
- 4:53Speaker 1: everybody done dirt, all the mistakes you've made, You're in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the position you in today because of what? Because you
- 5:01Speaker 1: all that? Because you work harder than anybody else. Look,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I work hard, I'll be there. I'll tell you in
- 5:09Speaker 1: a minute. I work hard, But I don't think I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: the hardest working person out there. I'm pretty sure somebody
- 5:15Speaker 1: didn't work way harder than I have. So okay, so
- 5:18Speaker 1: you work hard? Okay, cool, I got all that. But man,
- 5:24Speaker 1: what about his grace and his mercy? What about his favor?
- 5:30Speaker 1: How many times, man, you didn't rely on that, even
- 5:33Speaker 1: when you ain't know you was relying on it? How
- 5:35Speaker 1: many times man, God hadn't shown you mercy? You ain't
- 5:39Speaker 1: even deserve it? Do you know how many things I've
- 5:42Speaker 1: done wrong? I just ain't get caught at it? You know,
- 5:47Speaker 1: Let me see how simple I can be? Here? You
- 5:49Speaker 1: speed you jaywalk You lie to police when you get
- 5:56Speaker 1: pulled over that you wasn't speed and you go to
- 5:58Speaker 1: court and I argue you wasn't speeding when you was,
- 6:02Speaker 1: You make you turns. I'm just doing traffic violations. Now,
- 6:08Speaker 1: let's get off traffic for a second. Let's get on
- 6:11Speaker 1: human violations. You talk about people when you're not supposed to.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You indulge yourself in gossip even when you don't really
- 6:21Speaker 1: have all the facts. You pass judgment, You lust for
- 6:26Speaker 1: people that don't belong to you. You say things to
- 6:32Speaker 1: people that you're not supposed to say. So look all
- 6:38Speaker 1: of us, we all, we all guilty. Now see I'm
- 6:43Speaker 1: not saying you do all of that, but I'm saying
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I hit you somewhere in there, just
- 6:48Speaker 1: somewhere in there. You to lie before you know you
- 6:52Speaker 1: lied recently. I mean, come on, And I'm just saying
- 6:55Speaker 1: so with all that in mind. See, I'm just looking
- 6:57Speaker 1: at the little things that we do that we don't
- 6:59Speaker 1: get busted for. Not to mention the chips you stole
- 7:02Speaker 1: when you was a kid and nobody caught you. Well,
- 7:05Speaker 1: that elevated, didn't it. And some of y'all just didn't
- 7:08Speaker 1: stop stealing the next thing you know, you was in
- 7:10Speaker 1: a car. Now you're sitting somewhere you don't want to
- 7:12Speaker 1: be sitting because of a decision you made. But through
- 7:15Speaker 1: his grace and mercy, couldn't it have been worse? Though?
- 7:18Speaker 1: Without his grace and mercy, could not it have been worse?
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know two dudes it got caught in the garage
- 7:24Speaker 1: one time, trying to break in somebody's house, and the
- 7:27Speaker 1: person in the house they broke into just happened to
- 7:29Speaker 1: have a gun and held them into garage, caught them
- 7:34Speaker 1: and hailed them to the garage to the police care.
- 7:36Speaker 1: That's Grace and mercy right there, because they had all
- 7:39Speaker 1: full right to shoot these two people, but they didn't.
- 7:43Speaker 1: The grace and mercy. See, all of us have benefited
- 7:46Speaker 1: from his grace and mercy. All of us have done
- 7:49Speaker 1: a wrong, committed a sin, broken the law, and somehow,
- 7:52Speaker 1: through his grace and mercy, got by, doing drugs, buying drugs,
- 7:57Speaker 1: slanging drugs, doing something, got by, jump on somebody for
- 8:00Speaker 1: no reason, got by, you know. So see how you
- 8:06Speaker 1: figure with all that that can go on in your life?
- 8:09Speaker 1: And then hold on, let me throw a couple more
- 8:11Speaker 1: at you. You can't wake yourself up in the morning,
- 8:14Speaker 1: mister big shot. You don't have the ability to control
- 8:20Speaker 1: the breaths that you take. Really, mister big shot, really,
- 8:25Speaker 1: let's get real basic with it now. You can't wake
- 8:28Speaker 1: yourself up in the morning. That's favor, that's grace, that's mercy,
- 8:37Speaker 1: that's Him allowing you to wake up just hoping we
- 8:41Speaker 1: get it right. You know, God spared me through all
- 8:45Speaker 1: the dirt I was doing just hoping. One day, man,
- 8:47Speaker 1: can you just straighten up a little bit? When I
- 8:51Speaker 1: finally straightened up, and I'm gonna just say it, straightened
- 8:53Speaker 1: up a little bit. See, I ain't straightened up all
- 8:55Speaker 1: the way. Say I ain't gonna sit here and tell
- 8:57Speaker 1: you that I just straightened up a little bit. He
- 9:00Speaker 1: started blessing me. So the more blessings I got started going, Man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: maybe I'll try straighten up a little bit more. So
- 9:05Speaker 1: I straightened up a little bit more. I still got
- 9:07Speaker 1: a long way to go, but I'm straighter than I
- 9:10Speaker 1: was now. When people judging me, and as they will,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and they do, because that ain't right, but they do,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and I ain't walking just the way they walk, then
- 9:17Speaker 1: here come to criticism. I get it all the time.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Stop wanting credit all the time and give out some
- 9:23Speaker 1: credit where credit is due instead of get having somebody
- 9:26Speaker 1: patting you on your back all the time. Why don't
- 9:29Speaker 1: you tell God, tell people it was really was God?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Man that you don't really know how you made it?
- 9:34Speaker 1: That really man, you have no explanation for your success
- 9:37Speaker 1: or you have no explanation why you still existing today.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Why don't you tell somebody was God today? Don't be ashamed.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It's the truth, ain't it. I mean, really, man, Let's
- 9:46Speaker 1: give God some credit. Hell, give God the credit and
- 9:50Speaker 1: the glory and honor, and like that plaque said, you
- 9:53Speaker 1: can go as far as you want in life if
- 9:54Speaker 1: you don't mind who gets the credit. All right, you're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and those alike. Today
- 10:12Speaker 1: is a new date in twenty twenty two. I don't
- 10:16Speaker 1: know about you, but I feel nothing but gratitude being
- 10:19Speaker 1: blessed to see another year. Before I go any further,
- 10:24Speaker 1: let the church say amen. Now that we've done that,
- 10:31Speaker 1: we're about to start the show. Here is an update.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Roscoe Wallace will be coming on in a matter of
- 10:40Speaker 1: a month. He's instructing me to let you know to
- 10:43Speaker 1: let you know either how the case is going or
- 10:47Speaker 1: how the case went. But he is currently in federal court.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He can't say anymore because he's been sworn in to
- 10:58Speaker 1: not discuss the case. We will get that information and
- 11:01Speaker 1: bring it to you later. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to
- 11:04Speaker 1: the ride. Shirley Strawberry calling for real that damn Junior
- 11:08Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown and nephew Tommy Kill Sir, Yeah, yeah, everybody. Uncle.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Let me ask you something over the weekend, my cup,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I told my Michael say this. My cousin got busted
- 11:22Speaker 1: at a restauranot right. He over there with another woman
- 11:25Speaker 1: and his girl walked up to the table. He said,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Could you please tell him? It's something He
- 11:31Speaker 1: could have said differently then just saying I'm sorry. He
- 11:34Speaker 1: admitted the fact he got caught. What are he's supposed
- 11:36Speaker 1: to do? Uncle? He gives other lines he could have
- 11:39Speaker 1: used other than I'm sorry. I would have put my
- 11:42Speaker 1: hands up on her face and touched it gingerly with
- 11:45Speaker 1: my fingertips. Whose fau my woman that came in and
- 11:50Speaker 1: caught me with the other woman. I would have reached
- 11:52Speaker 1: up and just started touching on her face. With my
- 11:55Speaker 1: finger tip. I would pretend to be blind, and I
- 12:06Speaker 1: was thinking I was with you at this restaurant the
- 12:09Speaker 1: entire time. Oh lord, it's you, It's really you. Oh
- 12:17Speaker 1: my god, I thought I had lost you. I swear
- 12:20Speaker 1: to God, we'll try that before we start with I'm sick.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I think that touching her face with your fingertips, pretending
- 12:30Speaker 1: to be blind is a better way to go. Now,
- 12:34Speaker 1: is it going to work? No, no, it's not going
- 12:38Speaker 1: to work. But it is the attempt it, and it's
- 12:42Speaker 1: gonna throw her off so bad. It's gonna throw her
- 12:45Speaker 1: off so bad that it just won't even be it'll
- 12:50Speaker 1: be amazing. I think that's another one. I think another
- 12:53Speaker 1: thing you could do. It's just when she comes up
- 12:57Speaker 1: to the table, just get up and we walk out
- 13:01Speaker 1: the restaurant and quake out running across that parking lot.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That shot of the hope. You got to get her
- 13:11Speaker 1: out in the middle of traffic so she can have
- 13:14Speaker 1: something else to do self trying to kill you. You
- 13:17Speaker 1: gotta get her dodging calls. That's the only other safe
- 13:23Speaker 1: option over two things I would have done other than safe.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I'm soft. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you
- 13:30Speaker 1: listen to Daryl. It's too late, all right, thank you guys,
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour of
- 13:39Speaker 1: the Pastors and church complaints on this Monday. Right after
- 13:43Speaker 1: this you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 13:47Speaker 1: it's time now, guys for Reverend Motown and Deacon death
- 13:50Speaker 1: Jam and church complaints. We gavel again on his owners
- 14:00Speaker 1: or glorious much more than we or suffocate or suffocate
- 14:10Speaker 1: in the bowels of debt. We are here today to
- 14:20Speaker 1: consummate a variation of the dubiousness of hypocrisy. Yeah yea
- 14:32Speaker 1: lord Lord. This new year is bringing in new words
- 14:36Speaker 1: into the ministry in past. It is now time for
- 14:40Speaker 1: church complaints as we do bolically city Hill, and referidaciously,
- 14:49Speaker 1: go on, referidaciously. Is what I see referidaciously is when
- 14:58Speaker 1: you refer to something with defecation or to it. When
- 15:07Speaker 1: we fitted here some real sugar hunted ice tape, you
- 15:13Speaker 1: reference something that has defecation attract attached to it. Come on, now,
- 15:23Speaker 1: go ahead, you did that, wasn't the pastor? I hear?
- 15:27Speaker 1: Pastor at twenty twenty two. Yeah, we are having a
- 15:34Speaker 1: a pajama drop off all the ugly pajamas that were
- 15:38Speaker 1: worn for Christmas holidays. We are asking that you, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and you put these on social media, please drop them
- 15:46Speaker 1: off at them and get the nearest church, and we're
- 15:49Speaker 1: gonna be having We're gonna be burning these pajamas in
- 15:51Speaker 1: the name of Jesus. Pastor, do you have a problem
- 15:54Speaker 1: with that. We all back in the Biblical days when
- 15:58Speaker 1: people were asked to give of sacrifice, sacrifice was because
- 16:05Speaker 1: it was something of meaning. I think this burning hill
- 16:11Speaker 1: does not represent anything about sacrifice. Coach, don't nobody to
- 16:16Speaker 1: give a dam a right now, This right here is
- 16:22Speaker 1: as serious as the pandemic passes. This is very serious.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And Tony o'brown was seen riding in a car with
- 16:30Speaker 1: Kanye West. This isn't a bad situation altogether. They're asking,
- 16:36Speaker 1: would you probably talk to the both of them? I would.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I would sit down with Kanye and Antony o'brown and
- 16:48Speaker 1: get them to sign a release form. And the release
- 16:56Speaker 1: form simplest states that they are representing oh people who
- 17:05Speaker 1: can no longer use mental illness as an excuse for stupidity,
- 17:18Speaker 1: that's all, and that Kanye has agreed to not be
- 17:23Speaker 1: referred to any more as a genius, and Antonio is
- 17:30Speaker 1: gonna stop signing contracts for full seasons. Yeah, you need
- 17:38Speaker 1: to break this down to how mean hit number plays
- 17:40Speaker 1: he gonna run, or we're gonna break this down to
- 17:45Speaker 1: how long he gonna come to work a number of
- 17:50Speaker 1: locker room visits. We're gonna get something like that drawed up.
- 17:53Speaker 1: But we're gonna stop all this for yearly contracts. But
- 17:58Speaker 1: he made that yet ahead, all right, we got a problem.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I don't know if we realized that they're quiet. They
- 18:10Speaker 1: went Christmas, Carol, and on December twenty third, they are
- 18:14Speaker 1: still out there somewhere singing, but we can't we cannot
- 18:18Speaker 1: find them. What should we do pass we can't find
- 18:22Speaker 1: any people. We've We've told you all over and over
- 18:27Speaker 1: again to start the senior citizens from going out, Carolyn,
- 18:30Speaker 1: cause a lot of them was suffering from you know,
- 18:34Speaker 1: or can't get right, and so once you have can't
- 18:38Speaker 1: get right, you ain't fit to be right. Now, most
- 18:41Speaker 1: of these people have wandered off into other homes one
- 18:46Speaker 1: and they thought they were home, but they wouldn't. So
- 18:53Speaker 1: we don't know where they at. But let's pray that
- 18:56Speaker 1: they're in a safe church home. It seems like that. No,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I have no idea where to start, nor have we
- 19:10Speaker 1: had any reports of old people wandering around and nothing.
- 19:14Speaker 1: We all know well, we all know they're healthy though,
- 19:18Speaker 1: because old black people are gonna get inside. No, there's
- 19:21Speaker 1: no missing person's report. It's hard to make a missing
- 19:27Speaker 1: person report if the person don't think they're missing. Wherever
- 19:34Speaker 1: they are, wherever they they all think they they are.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Ye yeah, dust, Therefore no need for a missing person report. Okay,
- 19:47Speaker 1: miss we're losing our old people to good purposes. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 19:54Speaker 1: it was all right. We lost we lost twelve of
- 20:00Speaker 1: your full last yeah yeah, and we are just reported
- 20:05Speaker 1: that as the twelve days of Christmas. You're gonna have
- 20:12Speaker 1: to tell Miss Musk. Miss Ball of mus said to me,
- 20:17Speaker 1: I'm going away and she went away, left Girl Truth,
- 20:24Speaker 1: Polly and owner and they left all the women with me.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And see that's how we have How we did the
- 20:31Speaker 1: song and the people said you can stay you they're
- 20:38Speaker 1: just beautiful song. It's just and we to go. Next.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Ask the CLO with our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey
- 20:49Speaker 1: in the building, how to repeat a song when you
- 20:52Speaker 1: was in prov and you came right right after this,
- 20:55Speaker 1: you're listening to morning show. Coming up at the top
- 20:59Speaker 1: of the hour, we will remember the iconic legend mister
- 21:04Speaker 1: Sidney Poitier. Mister Potier passed away on Friday. He was
- 21:09Speaker 1: ninety four years old. We'll remember him coming up. But
- 21:13Speaker 1: right now it is time for Ask the Clo with
- 21:16Speaker 1: our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building to
- 21:19Speaker 1: answer your love questions. Kiki and Topeka writes, I am
- 21:24Speaker 1: a thirty one year old single woman and I'm in
- 21:27Speaker 1: love with my best friend, and I don't know how
- 21:29Speaker 1: to tell him. We do almost everything together and he's
- 21:33Speaker 1: been to the night at my house, but he has
- 21:36Speaker 1: never tried anything, not even a kiss. There are nights
- 21:40Speaker 1: that I think he might make a move, but he doesn't,
- 21:44Speaker 1: not even after we've had a lot to drink. Should
- 21:46Speaker 1: I tell him how I feel or keep it to myself? Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you might as well go on and tell him, because
- 21:55Speaker 1: now I want you to be aware of something, Miss Kiki.
- 22:00Speaker 1: It's a possibility that he don't want you. There is
- 22:06Speaker 1: a possibility, so you have to be aware of that.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Oh all key keys is fine to all of them.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I don't know key that ain't Yeah, that is a
- 22:23Speaker 1: you don't want. Well, yeah, that's a true statement. I
- 22:27Speaker 1: was on Instagram the other day. I saw a key
- 22:29Speaker 1: key that Lord have mercy. She immediately changed her name
- 22:32Speaker 1: to Fifi or something. Yeah, she wasn't fine, so you Yeah,
- 22:41Speaker 1: it's just like all Steves ain't tall. Get us a
- 22:44Speaker 1: lot of but not all of them is tall. You're
- 22:47Speaker 1: gonna run into a show one every now and then,
- 22:49Speaker 1: you know, so you're she feels yeah, just go ahead.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I mean, you know you can go ahead. You know,
- 22:57Speaker 1: it'd be like, you're gonna try this right here, tell him,
- 23:00Speaker 1: Tell him how you feel when you naked. Yeah, you're
- 23:06Speaker 1: a little extra to it, you know, and a half,
- 23:09Speaker 1: you know, give him some way to go, you know.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Miriam and Brooklyn says, I've got a thirty nine year
- 23:17Speaker 1: old son that won't stay out of my house when
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm gone. He comes over, eats my leftover food, He
- 23:23Speaker 1: entertains his women at my house because it's a lot
- 23:25Speaker 1: nicer than his house. And at my age, I don't
- 23:28Speaker 1: want to change my lungs because I never know. If
- 23:31Speaker 1: I don't need him or my sister to come here,
- 23:33Speaker 1: come over here and help me out, how do I
- 23:35Speaker 1: regain control of my house. Well, you steal his mama.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Now there's a respect level. Yeah, that's obviously he's crossed
- 23:47Speaker 1: and he's comfortable doing it, and you're not saying anything.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I think the best way to do is to break
- 23:53Speaker 1: it is. This is how you break the habit. Now.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I know you thank you too old for this, but
- 23:59Speaker 1: you're not sit outside your house. Next time he bring
- 24:06Speaker 1: a woman over to the house, let him get in
- 24:08Speaker 1: there and get situated real good, if you know what
- 24:11Speaker 1: I mean. And then just walk your ass back up
- 24:14Speaker 1: in now, yeah, and stand and while they on the bed,
- 24:22Speaker 1: you stand down at the foot of the bed and
- 24:24Speaker 1: just start cleaning out your purse. Do some real do
- 24:29Speaker 1: some real old stuff. Clean out your purse, you know,
- 24:35Speaker 1: take your wig off, set it on the little white
- 24:41Speaker 1: phone thing, get comfortable, ask her to help you. Come
- 24:46Speaker 1: down there and do some laundry. Just walking there, just
- 24:51Speaker 1: start opening windows or just stuff stuff like that, you
- 24:56Speaker 1: know you heard. Moving on to Sarah in Chicago, who says,
- 25:02Speaker 1: three months ago, I met a man that's five years
- 25:04Speaker 1: older than my father. But he's kind and attentive, and
- 25:08Speaker 1: he's willing to settle my college debt so I can
- 25:11Speaker 1: complete my courses. I'm thinking about taking him up on it,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but I want to know. I want him to know
- 25:17Speaker 1: that I'm no fool and I know what he wants.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Do you think he's offering this because he genuinely likes me?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Or is he a typical man looking for sex? What?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a minute, little girl? What you
- 25:33Speaker 1: meet a man that's five years older than your daddy?
- 25:36Speaker 1: You met him? Where? You met him? Where it just random?
- 25:42Speaker 1: Some man walked up to you now? Or does he
- 25:44Speaker 1: want sex? Just thank you for to pay for the
- 25:47Speaker 1: school fault? Are you kidding me? You already know the
- 25:52Speaker 1: answer to this, and you don't already you didn't found
- 25:56Speaker 1: out he five years older than your daddy, But you
- 26:00Speaker 1: shouldn't have been talking about I'm no food. Well you're
- 26:05Speaker 1: you're thinking about taking the money. Yeah, but you want
- 26:12Speaker 1: to take the money, but you don't want nothing that's
- 26:14Speaker 1: gonna go with it? Take it? Why is he? Little girl?
- 26:19Speaker 1: You know? Man? Stop playing with it. Don't stupid ask question?
- 26:25Speaker 1: Is he a typical man? He's a man? We all men, Shirley.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Have I ever paid anything of yours off anything? No?
- 26:38Speaker 1: You know why? Why? Because we don't sleep together? We
- 26:46Speaker 1: do not stop paying a damn thing of yours off,
- 26:51Speaker 1: all right, thank you for using me as an example together.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Now Madre, on the other hand, can't go and create
- 26:58Speaker 1: any bill. She won't and that's what my ass got
- 27:00Speaker 1: to do. Pay it off absolutely all right. Anybody I've
- 27:10Speaker 1: ever paid any money too in the past? What what? What?
- 27:16Speaker 1: What are you saying? I want to hear that. No, wait,
- 27:18Speaker 1: let him finish digging this hole right now. You lost
- 27:28Speaker 1: your mind? All right? Moving on to Tanya and the
- 27:32Speaker 1: example pool you know, yeah, yeah, too many. Tanya and
- 27:36Speaker 1: making says, my husband came home from a night out
- 27:41Speaker 1: with his boys and said he had a toothache and
- 27:44Speaker 1: was sleeping on the couch. I went and searched for
- 27:47Speaker 1: his clothes, which are usually on the floor. They were missing.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Then I peeked in on him on the couch and
- 27:54Speaker 1: he was eating a sandwich. I found his pants the
- 27:56Speaker 1: next day at the bottom of his hamper. Why did
- 28:00Speaker 1: he lie about a toothache and why did he hide
- 28:02Speaker 1: his pants for me? Is he losing his mind? Losing
- 28:08Speaker 1: What did you talking about? What did he do that
- 28:12Speaker 1: was so stupid? First of all, I got a toothache,
- 28:18Speaker 1: So let me go down here and try to work
- 28:20Speaker 1: through it out and took But now down there trying
- 28:25Speaker 1: to get the healing powers of his toothache fixed. Is
- 28:29Speaker 1: a deal. He The reason he put that pants at
- 28:34Speaker 1: the bottom of the hamper is so that those pans
- 28:38Speaker 1: will appear to be not the pants from last night,
- 28:42Speaker 1: but some pans from last week. Lady, you whatever's happening
- 28:49Speaker 1: to you? You don't even know how to ask the
- 28:51Speaker 1: right questions. Why did he put his pants at the
- 28:54Speaker 1: bottom of the hamper? Why he lied about a toothache?
- 28:58Speaker 1: Same reason he lied and said he was out with
- 29:00Speaker 1: his boys. That whole lot got to have backups, all right,
- 29:06Speaker 1: We gotta go to Steve coming up at the top
- 29:08Speaker 1: of the hour. You do not want to miss her
- 29:10Speaker 1: special tribute for the late great Sydney Portier right after this.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Sadly, guys, we lost
- 29:21Speaker 1: a legend on Friday, and Tommy is here to pay
- 29:25Speaker 1: tribute to the late great Sydney Potier. Yes, Tommy, this
- 29:31Speaker 1: is my favorite of all time. This actor right here,
- 29:33Speaker 1: mister Sydney Portier nineteen Let me tell you, I gotta
- 29:36Speaker 1: tell you all this story nineteen seventy five, I'm five,
- 29:39Speaker 1: nineteen seventy two. I'm sorry. I'm five years old and
- 29:42Speaker 1: my mother takes me to my first movie. And the
- 29:45Speaker 1: first movie was Buck and the Preacher starring Sydney Portier
- 29:49Speaker 1: and Harry Bellefonte. I mean, we all got our favorite
- 29:52Speaker 1: from uptown Saturday night. Let's do it again. A piece
- 29:54Speaker 1: of the action, you know me, I'm a raising in
- 29:57Speaker 1: the sun. The list goes on and on, so I
- 29:59Speaker 1: put together some of my favorites so y'all can take
- 30:02Speaker 1: a listen. But this is by far the greatest of
- 30:05Speaker 1: all time. Every actor walking owes him a bit of gratitude.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Take a listen. What are you talking about that? I'm
- 30:12Speaker 1: talking about life, mamma. You always asking me to see
- 30:16Speaker 1: life as it is. Well, I laid in there on
- 30:18Speaker 1: my back today and I saw a life just like
- 30:20Speaker 1: it is. He who gets and he who don't get.
- 30:23Speaker 1: It's all divided up, you know, mamma. Life is between
- 30:26Speaker 1: the takers and the talking. And some of us are
- 30:29Speaker 1: always being talking. People like Willie Harris never get talking.
- 30:33Speaker 1: You know why the rest of us do because we
- 30:35Speaker 1: are mixed up. We are mixed up. They always looking
- 30:38Speaker 1: around for the right and wrong of things. All the time.
- 30:40Speaker 1: We worry and cry and stay ap nights trying to
- 30:42Speaker 1: figure out what's right what's wrong all the time, And
- 30:45Speaker 1: all the time the takers around there just operate and
- 30:47Speaker 1: take and take and wright you're too coming. Yeah, your attitudes,
- 30:53Speaker 1: mister Nicott, your point of view are a matter of record.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Some people, well, let us say, the people who work
- 31:01Speaker 1: for mister Colbert might reasonably regard you as the person
- 31:05Speaker 1: least likely to mourn his passing. We were just trying
- 31:09Speaker 1: to clarify some of the evidence. Was mister Colbert ever
- 31:14Speaker 1: in this greenhouse say last night about midnight? Good? Agree? Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 1: you saw it? I saw it. What are you going
- 31:27Speaker 1: to do about it? I don't know. You say, you
- 31:31Speaker 1: don't want to tell me how to live my life,
- 31:34Speaker 1: So what do you think you've been doing? You tell
- 31:36Speaker 1: me what rights I've got or haven't got, and what
- 31:39Speaker 1: I owe you for what you've done for me. Let
- 31:41Speaker 1: me tell you something. I owe you nothing. If you
- 31:46Speaker 1: carried that bag a million miles, you did what you
- 31:49Speaker 1: were supposed to do because you brought me into this world,
- 31:53Speaker 1: and from that day you owed me everything you could
- 31:56Speaker 1: ever do for me, like I will owe my son
- 31:58Speaker 1: if I ever have another. But you don't own me.
- 32:03Speaker 1: You can't tell me when or where I'm out of
- 32:05Speaker 1: line or try to get me to live my life
- 32:07Speaker 1: according to your rules. You don't even know what I am. Dad,
- 32:12Speaker 1: You don't know who I am. You don't know how
- 32:13Speaker 1: I feel, what I think, And if I try to
- 32:17Speaker 1: explain it the rest of your life, you will never understand.
- 32:21Speaker 1: You are thirty years older than I am. You and
- 32:24Speaker 1: your whole lousy generation believes the way it was for
- 32:27Speaker 1: you is the way it's got to be. And not
- 32:29Speaker 1: until your whole generation has lain down and died, well,
- 32:33Speaker 1: the dead weight of you be off our backs. You
- 32:36Speaker 1: understand You've got to get off my back. I do.
- 32:42Speaker 1: That's the sum of it. Many love, Yes, First African America.
- 32:55Speaker 1: When your academy walk here and you say your best
- 32:59Speaker 1: picture of is is what time? He? Well mine is
- 33:02Speaker 1: raising and suck. But it mean, come on, I can't
- 33:04Speaker 1: pick I can't just pick one. And he didn't in
- 33:06Speaker 1: the he didn't in it, and he didn't that. Yeah,
- 33:10Speaker 1: that's when the white guy slapped him, and he slapped
- 33:13Speaker 1: him back back, yeah, back. It was unbelievable. Man. America
- 33:23Speaker 1: was shocked. I read an autobiography, and in his autobiography
- 33:27Speaker 1: he was saying that that's not real. That's not how
- 33:29Speaker 1: a black man would act. If he got slapped, he
- 33:33Speaker 1: would slap him back, you know, Yeah, he would slap
- 33:36Speaker 1: them back. And so they put that in. It was controversial.
- 33:39Speaker 1: It was it was like unbelievable. All fifty states shook.
- 33:45Speaker 1: It's Denzel's favorite actor for sure. Oh yeah, oh yes,
- 33:48Speaker 1: Denzel has sure a number of times. Yesel really him.
- 33:53Speaker 1: It is the greatest of all change Landmark. He said
- 33:58Speaker 1: he learned to speak English, uh, to lose his accent
- 34:03Speaker 1: from watching TV, American TV, just watching TV and listening
- 34:08Speaker 1: to the accents. And that's how we learned when you
- 34:10Speaker 1: first started, when you first tried to be when he
- 34:15Speaker 1: first tried to be an actor, they kicked him out
- 34:16Speaker 1: and said, you know, it was Toned Delthy the greatest. Yeah,
- 34:24Speaker 1: I'm using some legends. I don't have a favorite movie.
- 34:30Speaker 1: My favorite scene in the Heat of the Knight now
- 34:35Speaker 1: was when they was trying to put him and Bill
- 34:38Speaker 1: calls being the trunk of that car uptown uptown, satur man.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Let me tell you something because all I you know,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I was in it not to be an actor, but
- 34:50Speaker 1: a comedian. Right when they was trying to put him,
- 34:55Speaker 1: and Bill calls be in the trunk of that car,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and they can't kept going in and out of the frame.
- 35:02Speaker 1: The scream, man, I'll screaming. I was holly they could
- 35:07Speaker 1: not get their ass in the trunk of that culture.
- 35:13Speaker 1: That was because I was surprised when he did comedy,
- 35:16Speaker 1: and he did it very well. Man. He had great
- 35:18Speaker 1: comedy timing. Man, he really didn't big ups for the
- 35:25Speaker 1: greatest about the way. The way I heard about it
- 35:28Speaker 1: was Tyler. Tyler Perry text me and said, Sydney Portier
- 35:32Speaker 1: passed last night. That's how I found out he meant
- 35:35Speaker 1: something to everyone. Yes, guess who coming to dinner back
- 35:39Speaker 1: in the day, White Later bringing a black man. Catherine
- 35:44Speaker 1: Hepburn in that movie. Yep, you do that movie to day.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Everybody likes. So all right, Tommy, thank you for your
- 35:52Speaker 1: tribute to the late great Sydney Portier. Here. Yeah, coming up,
- 35:58Speaker 1: we'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 36:00Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve, come on,
- 36:05Speaker 1: introduce your friend. It is time to look into his mind.
- 36:09Speaker 1: The darkness that is Jay Anthony Brown good morning, everybody.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Due to COVID, we're watching more television than ever all
- 36:19Speaker 1: of us. And what I have noticed from watching television,
- 36:23Speaker 1: there's way more animals selling stuff than black people. There's
- 36:29Speaker 1: way more animals selling stuff than black people. We got
- 36:35Speaker 1: a duck selling insurance. Come on, Fox selling cars, Come
- 36:38Speaker 1: on our selling glasses. Come on. Bears are really working.
- 36:43Speaker 1: They are working. They butt up. They selling drops, telling
- 36:49Speaker 1: you not to let fires burn in the forest. They were.
- 36:53Speaker 1: These bears are books solid. The bears are. We don't
- 36:59Speaker 1: have enough bears. The bears a book solid. They got
- 37:03Speaker 1: it locked down. We got a rabbit selling batteries. That's rabbit.
- 37:09Speaker 1: They've been beating us damn drug. Then I know somebody
- 37:13Speaker 1: black can selling damn batteries. But because rabbit ain't even
- 37:17Speaker 1: really the rabbit got batteries in the batteries in the rabbit. Okay,
- 37:24Speaker 1: there's a tiger that's just come in your house when
- 37:27Speaker 1: you eating breakfast, and do nobody say a damn. It's
- 37:31Speaker 1: great if you don't get your hands what there's a cheeta.
- 37:38Speaker 1: There's a cheerles selling cheesus snacks. Chet. They got a turtle,
- 37:48Speaker 1: the slowest animal in the tiled world. Other than the
- 37:53Speaker 1: snail selling nuts. Got a nut campaignway, but you that
- 38:01Speaker 1: what rats they got. They got mice selling rack poison,
- 38:08Speaker 1: these rats in the kitchen and then they're eating all
- 38:11Speaker 1: the rats to fall out and they're selling poison. Rats working.
- 38:16Speaker 1: They're just they're just working. You can't Black people can't
- 38:20Speaker 1: get the job. No, damn well, they got cows telling
- 38:24Speaker 1: you to eat chicken. How telling you you need to
- 38:30Speaker 1: eat chicken? They topped it. They got chickens telling you
- 38:36Speaker 1: to eat chickens. What the hell it's going on? I'm
- 38:42Speaker 1: just saying a break. Black people can't get a break
- 38:46Speaker 1: because these damn animals is working. The You can't book
- 38:53Speaker 1: a bear right now? Bearins they poked out you lizen,
- 39:01Speaker 1: but no fit. Yeah, he just smoothed an my fig.
- 39:06Speaker 1: How did listen go to the restroom? That's what I'd
- 39:09Speaker 1: be looking at this listen, Kay, that was crazy. Coming
- 39:19Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after, we'll have more of
- 39:21Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 39:25Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. The three white men convicted
- 39:30Speaker 1: of murdering Ahmad Rbory in February of last year received
- 39:34Speaker 1: their sentences Friday. In Georgia, Judge Timothy Walmsley sentence Travis
- 39:38Speaker 1: McMichael thirty five and his father, Gregory McMichael sixty six,
- 39:42Speaker 1: to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Also,
- 39:46Speaker 1: their neighbor, William Roddy Bryan was this sentence to life
- 39:49Speaker 1: in prison without with the possibility of parole. Before handing
- 39:54Speaker 1: down the sentence, Judge Walmsley held a minute of silence,
- 39:58Speaker 1: saying it represents a action of the time Armad Arvery
- 40:03Speaker 1: was running through the neighborhood outside Brunswick before he was
- 40:06Speaker 1: killed on Friday, February twenty third, twenty twenty Good good,
- 40:14Speaker 1: just they were convicted arbery. Yes, that's so rare in
- 40:23Speaker 1: this country. It's and then it's in the Deep South,
- 40:30Speaker 1: you know where they've been getting away with this for
- 40:35Speaker 1: hundreds of years, been getting away with it. Uh you know,
- 40:41Speaker 1: you know, you know, I want to I'm it's a celebration,
- 40:46Speaker 1: but it's a sad celebration because you know what, it's
- 40:50Speaker 1: why do you have to celebrate justice when justice should
- 40:55Speaker 1: be for all? But it's not. And it's so rare
- 41:00Speaker 1: that you get to see it that it's almost shocking
- 41:04Speaker 1: when when when you when you lay witness to it
- 41:07Speaker 1: that they let three white men go for killing that
- 41:10Speaker 1: they punished three white men for killing the black men.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That's so rare, man, and it's it's it's it's a testament.
- 41:18Speaker 1: M Yeah, you know what. To me, it's not even
- 41:22Speaker 1: a testament to how far this country has come, to
- 41:26Speaker 1: me as a testament to how sick this country really is.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And I'm just tired of it, man, I'm tired of
- 41:35Speaker 1: having to clap for these little moments of justice because oh, well,
- 41:39Speaker 1: we finally got that, and we find it finally happened,
- 41:43Speaker 1: but it's fitting to happen again, though it's not the
- 41:47Speaker 1: last one. Well, and then I wish it was. What's
- 41:53Speaker 1: so scary about this case was they almost got away
- 41:55Speaker 1: with it. Yeah, that former prosecution, Oh they almost got away.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. This had happened most prior
- 42:07Speaker 1: to us even hearing about it, right right right, because
- 42:12Speaker 1: she didn't press charges and wasn't about to no, no,
- 42:18Speaker 1: And you know, think about this, think about this. The
- 42:22Speaker 1: story of Emma till is about to come on TV
- 42:25Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks, and that was what over
- 42:28Speaker 1: fifty years ago, when this young black man from Chicago
- 42:32Speaker 1: went down to Mississippi. And it was on the other
- 42:35Speaker 1: night too. Yeah, movement the other night because because he
- 42:39Speaker 1: supposedly whistled at a white woman. But you know, if
- 42:43Speaker 1: you think of the simple gesture that a black person
- 42:50Speaker 1: can do that can cause him his life, talking on
- 42:54Speaker 1: a sale phone, walking around in the backyard, coming from
- 42:59Speaker 1: a store with a skittle and an iced tea. You
- 43:02Speaker 1: got a hoodie own, you roll the window down. You
- 43:08Speaker 1: music old the police officer. I have a weapon that
- 43:18Speaker 1: I have the right to carry in my glove box.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Boom shott. Yeah. I just like, wow, man, this is
- 43:27Speaker 1: the country we have. And and the part that I'm
- 43:31Speaker 1: getting that I'm really concerned about is now the political
- 43:35Speaker 1: climate between the Republicans and the Democrats, the Conservatives and
- 43:40Speaker 1: the liberal It's so splintered and shattered right now. I
- 43:45Speaker 1: don't think this is reparable because they've locked into what
- 43:50Speaker 1: we're gonna take the party line, and whatever your party's
- 43:53Speaker 1: line is, they're gonna take the opposite stand. We will
- 43:57Speaker 1: never get anywhere like that, never get it where like that.
- 44:00Speaker 1: This country is really in a sick state. And you
- 44:05Speaker 1: personally have to get in touch with God because you're
- 44:08Speaker 1: gonna need him because these people ain't stuffing that and
- 44:13Speaker 1: we have to vote. Um, all right, Steve, as we
- 44:16Speaker 1: move on and switch gears and nephew Tommy's prank phone
- 44:20Speaker 1: call coming up right after this. You're listening to the
- 44:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 44:27Speaker 1: the hour, about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter
- 44:30Speaker 1: for today. The subject is they both want me, they
- 44:34Speaker 1: both want me. We'll get into that in just a
- 44:36Speaker 1: little bit, but right now it is time for the
- 44:39Speaker 1: nephew and the prank phone call, which you got for us.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Nef I got the conference call. The conference call. We've
- 44:51Speaker 1: all been on them, you know for sure you ever
- 44:54Speaker 1: been on one? Win back? M Okay, well let's go
- 44:58Speaker 1: and Hark went bad? Come on, kat Dog the conference call. Hello,
- 45:06Speaker 1: This is Hannah Hire. This is Frank checking in. Hey,

- 45:55Speaker 1: I'm getting all the paperwork in my UM assistant Cynthia
- 45:59Speaker 1: is here, so you guys just get me a second.
- 46:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you guys on hold for a second
- 46:02Speaker 1: and I'll be back probably less than thirty seconds. Okay,
- 46:05Speaker 1: all right, okay, we'll do. Thank you, cent you can
- 46:09Speaker 1: you bring me all of the stuff on these three guys.
- 46:12Speaker 1: I mean today it's supposed to be uh, they're on
- 46:15Speaker 1: hold right now, but today's day that we're giving them
- 46:17Speaker 1: their severance packages and letting them go and they'll be

- 48:11Speaker 1: Oh all right, so look, bring me everybody's stuff. Let

- 48:19Speaker 1: and pick up their things. That's all I think they are. Okay,
- 48:24Speaker 1: is this the right button here? Okay, hello, it's not
- 48:28Speaker 1: the right button, so we might have to be kidding me.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I've been with us. I've been with us for five years,
- 48:36Speaker 1: all right, I've not I've not let you down for
- 48:38Speaker 1: a quarter, the company down for a quarter. This is
- 48:40Speaker 1: this is ridiculous. I cannot believe this. And I'm on

- 48:45Speaker 1: and get my things? But this is ridiculous? Is how
- 48:49Speaker 1: you're gonna let us know? Dude? This is unprofessional, this
- 48:52Speaker 1: is trash. I cannot believe you. If you only need
- 48:55Speaker 1: a lawyer, I have someone, I have contacts, we can talk.
- 48:58Speaker 1: But honestly, Sherman, this is this is, this is unaccessible.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Let's not do the whole lawyer thing. Guys. Okay, let's
- 49:05Speaker 1: not do that, all right now, people get let go
- 49:08Speaker 1: from companies. People get let go all the time, and
- 49:11Speaker 1: you guys know this. Let's go on a conference call
- 49:14Speaker 1: with other people. What are you This is ridiculous. Are
- 49:17Speaker 1: giving a personal business? Yes, yes, that's true. You're giving
- 49:20Speaker 1: personal business to another. Uh, it's exactly. It's not a yeah,
- 49:24Speaker 1: you cannot be doing this. Yeah, email me that lawyer's
- 49:27Speaker 1: number for sure. Yes, I guess you want to, David,
- 49:31Speaker 1: thank you. I didn't I didn't try to for you
- 49:33Speaker 1: guys to learn it this way. All right, I'm okay,
- 49:37Speaker 1: let's just say I'm not good at the conference button.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I don't know how to put anybody. You're not doing.
- 49:43Speaker 1: This is not a good message. It's not it's not
- 49:45Speaker 1: a public professional messaging. In fact, this is I'm mortified.
- 49:51Speaker 1: I cannot believe this. I put into my life to
- 49:52Speaker 1: this company. This is beside best employees. So it is.
- 49:57Speaker 1: It is. It's absolutely right. It is illegal. This is
- 49:59Speaker 1: a yep yep. I will wait, wait, what do you
- 50:06Speaker 1: mean you're recording it? What are you? What are you
- 50:08Speaker 1: recording it for what? Yes, can you tell me not recording? David? Listen,
- 50:15Speaker 1: I don't consent on being recorded. I want that known man. Okay, okay,
- 50:22Speaker 1: can I can I ask you guys something? Do you? Guys?
- 50:25Speaker 1: Are you familiar with your co worker named Barry Dillard? Yes,

- 51:18Speaker 1: We're wow. Okay, Okay, I'm good. I'm good now good,

- 51:29Speaker 1: show in the land. Let me hear it clearly. Oh man,
- 51:38Speaker 1: we're on the Steve Barker Show. Come on in place
- 51:44Speaker 1: for kidding me right now. They heard everything. That's like,
- 51:51Speaker 1: can you kill a co worker? Man? But the GM's
- 51:57Speaker 1: assisted though many Yeah, just just trying to find a
- 52:02Speaker 1: decent title. That's just trying to find something fit right now.
- 52:10Speaker 1: That was pretty clever with the zoom call. I give
- 52:13Speaker 1: him that, and then he wasn't in no danger with
- 52:15Speaker 1: their new little square as people. We're getting a lawyer. Yeah,
- 52:19Speaker 1: that ain't the a typical call he put in. When
- 52:22Speaker 1: get I'm gonna beat come around here. I wish you
- 52:25Speaker 1: would come around here. You don't have to answer that.

- 54:22Speaker 1: I'm a forty four year old divorced woman and I
- 54:25Speaker 1: recently got divorced because my husband caught me cheating on him.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I had been having an affair with my boss for
- 54:32Speaker 1: a few years and it was all going good until
- 54:35Speaker 1: my boss found out I was saying a guy that
- 54:37Speaker 1: used to work for him. He got I rate and
- 54:40Speaker 1: acted out while we were in the office, so everyone
- 54:43Speaker 1: figured out what was going on. His niece works in
- 54:46Speaker 1: our office, so she started the rumor, which led to
- 54:49Speaker 1: my husband finding out. So then I was forced to confess.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Because I don't like lying to my husband. He doesn't
- 54:56Speaker 1: deserve a wife like me, so I wanted to divorce
- 54:59Speaker 1: him with a clean heart and mind. When my husband
- 55:02Speaker 1: left me, he threatened both my boss and the other
- 55:06Speaker 1: guy I was messing with. I apologized to everyone and
- 55:10Speaker 1: considered going to live with my parents for a while
- 55:12Speaker 1: out of state. I took a leave of absence from work,
- 55:16Speaker 1: and just as I was getting my mail forward it
- 55:18Speaker 1: to my parents home, my ex husband called me and
- 55:22Speaker 1: said he wanted to talk. I went to his new
- 55:24Speaker 1: apartment and we talked, cried, hugged, and had wild passionate sex.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I knew he could never resist me in that way,
- 55:33Speaker 1: so I laid it on him. Days after that encounter,
- 55:38Speaker 1: he called me all day and night wanting more. He
- 55:41Speaker 1: finally told me that he'd consider us getting back together
- 55:44Speaker 1: if I promised i'd never cheat on him again. I
- 55:48Speaker 1: can't promise him that. A few days after having sex
- 55:51Speaker 1: with my ex husband, I also had makeup sex with
- 55:54Speaker 1: my boss, and he wants to leave his wife and
- 55:57Speaker 1: see if we can work things out and possibly move
- 55:59Speaker 1: in together. I'm so torn because my boss is a
- 56:04Speaker 1: much better lover and he's wealthy. My husband will always
- 56:08Speaker 1: have my heart, but I don't think I want him.
- 56:11Speaker 1: What do I do in this situation? What? Huh? I mean?
- 56:20Speaker 1: I definitely think you need help. You need some help.
- 56:24Speaker 1: But what you're essentially asking us is who should you
- 56:28Speaker 1: cheat on if you get back together with these guys?
- 56:31Speaker 1: Which one? Should you get back together with your husband
- 56:34Speaker 1: and cheat on him again? Or should we should we say,
- 56:39Speaker 1: stay with your boss who's considering leaving his wife for you,
- 56:42Speaker 1: and continue to cheat on him. The funny thing is
- 56:47Speaker 1: not cheating, you know, not cheating being faithful. That doesn't
- 56:50Speaker 1: seem to be an option for you. The idea of
- 56:54Speaker 1: being faithful to one man, your husband in this case.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Is it's such a foreign concept to you, and why
- 57:00Speaker 1: is that? I mean, what's wrong with you? It seems
- 57:04Speaker 1: like you're okay with what you're doing. You have no remorse.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Um you said in your letter when your husband asked
- 57:10Speaker 1: you back if you would stop cheating, that you couldn't
- 57:12Speaker 1: promise him that most people know that cheating on their
- 57:16Speaker 1: spouse is wrong in God's eyes. And I threw that
- 57:19Speaker 1: in because you don't seem to know or care. I mean,
- 57:22Speaker 1: we just can't assume that people have morals and believe
- 57:25Speaker 1: in God and won't do these things. I'm sure it's
- 57:29Speaker 1: flattering from your perspective to have two men after you
- 57:33Speaker 1: and all of that, but you were married, and you
- 57:36Speaker 1: shouldn't have acted on that. You shouldn't have cheated on
- 57:38Speaker 1: your your husband. You know that now your actions are
- 57:41Speaker 1: about to break up yet another marriage, your boss's marriage.
- 57:45Speaker 1: You're you're just leaving a trail of destruction everywhere you go,
- 57:49Speaker 1: breaking up marriages. All of this, My suggestion to you
- 57:53Speaker 1: is to stay divorced and stay single. Let your husband,
- 57:58Speaker 1: your your your boyfriend, and your boss, you know, let
- 58:01Speaker 1: them live without you. Because you're just no good. You'll
- 58:05Speaker 1: never get this right. You said it yourself, You'll never
- 58:07Speaker 1: be able to do the right thing, Steve Wow. Okay, Well,
- 58:15Speaker 1: in the new year twenty two, as promised, what I
- 58:20Speaker 1: said I would do is become more pointed this year.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I think we've had a lot of years of strawberry
- 58:28Speaker 1: letters where we've tried to give advice. Um, I'm I'm
- 58:33Speaker 1: gonna be in to call you out mode a lot
- 58:35Speaker 1: of times this year, and it's time to call another
- 58:39Speaker 1: one out. Uh. It's so much in this letter. I
- 58:43Speaker 1: want to start at the bottom of the letter by saying,
- 58:49Speaker 1: after I read this whole letter, her question is what
- 58:52Speaker 1: do I do in this situation? Well, I was gonna
- 58:59Speaker 1: start there with the advice of stop acting horrish. That's
- 59:06Speaker 1: the first thing. You have to stop acting horrish. But
- 59:12Speaker 1: if you're not, let's just go through the letter and
- 59:16Speaker 1: let me show you some things that shocks regular people.
- 59:21Speaker 1: I'm afforded four year old divorce woman. I got divorced
- 59:24Speaker 1: because my husband caught me cheating on him. Okay, it happens,
- 59:30Speaker 1: but usually it's the other way around, but it happens.
- 59:33Speaker 1: So we're just a little bit shocked. I've been having
- 59:36Speaker 1: an affair with my boss. Okay, that happens to a
- 59:44Speaker 1: lot of women, but usually the woman's not married. You
- 59:47Speaker 1: are a few years and it was going good. Okay,
- 59:52Speaker 1: here we go. You're not having a problem when it
- 59:54Speaker 1: is until my boss found out I was seeing a
- 59:58Speaker 1: guy that used to work for him. Okay, now you
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: got your husband, you got your boss, and you got
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the other guy that used to be an employee of
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: your boss and acted out while we were in the office,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: so everybody figured out what was going on. His niece
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: worked out the office, and she started the rumor. No no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: you started the rumor. See all right, Now when I
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: come back, it's just gonna be more this sent all right,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you heard him? Part two of Steve's response, coming up
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour, subject they both
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: want me. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You're listening show, All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: today's crazy Strawberry letter and finish up your response. The
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: subject is they both want me? What you got? They
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: both want me? Forty four year old divorce woman. It's
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: divorced recently because her husband called her cheating on him,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and who was he cheating on him with her boss?
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: And then for a few years that had been going on,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and she said it was going good until the boss
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: found out that the woman was seeing a guy that
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: used to work for him. Okay, that's three people. He
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: got mad acted out while we was in the office,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: so everybody figured out what was going on. His niece
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: works in the office, and she started the rumor. No,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: she didn't start the rumor. You started the rumor when
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you slept with your boss. Who will find out later
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: on he married too. Now that started the rumor which
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: led to my husband finding out. What No, what led
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: to your husband finding out was you were sleeping with
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: your boss. So then I was forced to confess because
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I don't like lying to my husband. What you got
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: a problem lying to him? You ain't got no problem
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: cheating on him, sleeping with several other men. But you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: draw the line when it come to line. I don't
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: like lying to my husband, but I'll tell you what.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I passed this prize package around like the cracker jackson,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: but I will not lie to him. So you confess.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: He doesn't deserve a wife like me. Stop. But first
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: of all, let's stop calling yourself a wife. There's some
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: other titles that you can get, but wife. Let's just
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: stop the white stuff. Okay. So I wanted to devote
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: his enough guess right here. So I wanted to divorce
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: him with a clean heart in mind. Wherever, What so
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you think if you divorce him and cleanse everything up
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: heart in mind? You ain't mentioned Lord in this at all.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: When my husband left me, he threatened both my boss
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: and the other guy was messing with. This is where
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the letter takes a turn. I apologized to everyone. Well,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that had to be a bigger as meeting. I show
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I'd have been in the room when this was going on.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Did you zoom everybody in? Did they have a zoom
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: meeting number? Did you get the extended zone where it
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: wouldn't cut off in thirty minutes? Did you call him individually?
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I showed wish I knew that, And then I even
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: considered going to live with my parents for a while
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: out of state. When a forty four year old has
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: to make a decision to go back and live with
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: their parents, you've made a series of mistakes. I took
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a leave of absence from work, and just as I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: was getting all my mail forwarded to my parents' house.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: My ex husband called me and said he wanted to talk.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I went to his new apartment and we talked, cried,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: hug and had wild passionate sex. I knew he could
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: never rest this me in that way, so I laid
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: it on him. Oh, come on, girl, doing what you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: do best. Laid it on me. All right, here we
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: go anyway. Days after the encounter, he called me all
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: day and night wanting more. He finally told me that
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: he considered us getting back together if I promise I
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: would never cheat on him again. I can't promise him that.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: What is you crazy? Have you been reading the letter?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Do you know how many mens is I'm with? Do
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you know how much I passed out on a weekly basis? Oh?
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I can't stop doing this. Come on, I have needs girl,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: boy bye, promise you. He want me back, but he
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: want me to promise see him I'll never cheat on
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: him again. I can't make no promise like that. You
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: know what I am? You read this letter? I'm what
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the letter say I am? What is? You're trying to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: make a wife out of me for again? I'm not
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: can't be no wife. A few days after having sex
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: with my ex husband, I also had to make them
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: sex with my boss, and he wants to leave his
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: wife and see if we can work things out and
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: possibly move in together. I'm so torn because my boss
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: is a much better lover and he wealthy. My husband
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: will always have my heart. What hard? But I don't
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: think I want him? What do I do in this situation?
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Wait a minute? What Let me ask you something. What
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: are you doing? What technique is you using? First of all,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I'm just gonna give you this. You have got to
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: be excellent in pag because you got plenty practice. In
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: order to be good as something, you've got to have

- 1:06:15Speaker 1: So that's what you are. You're not nobody's wife. You
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: can't be in no type of committed relationship. You can't
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: promise a man that you will never cheat. Because you
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: are what we think you are in this letter. And
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I don't have to give you the title. It's a

- 1:09:18Speaker 1: doesn't He doesn't want or know how to write a

- 1:09:25Speaker 1: you refuse to learn any lesson, you just it's because
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: you're stupid. You're not trying to learn the lesson. You're
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: just trying to do like you want to do when
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: you want to do it. You don't have a sense
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: of timing, a sense of tomorrow could possibly get here.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Everywhere he goes it ends badly. And I don't see
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: him learning how to write the story any differently. He
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: will never go to the Hall of Fame, and he
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: has hall of fame skill set. And then I don't
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: think we know the whole story. Just why you always
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: given crazy people to them? Doubt for you? Because people
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: trying to make his way into heaven. So he trying

- 1:16:54Speaker 1: guys another round? Here we go. Would you rather go
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: to church naked or babysit ten children under chickens the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: age of two. Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm pretty rapping. I
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: got I'm going to change nakeds. I'm gonna do two services.

- 1:17:22Speaker 1: well that did are happened? And then I'm at the
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: next service they see it themselves. Yeah, so stupid. You
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: know it was a man came in here at the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: eight o'clock I got niggas for he was at eleven two.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Now I would know I'm gonna take care of them kids.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Would or do that to me? But one time now
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: everybody's not gonna be kid far. Are you a babysitting grandfather, Steve?
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Are you yeah? Man? Yeah, yeah, they do. They always
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: make sure somebody at the house with me though, somebody
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: watching you watching the kids. Somebody watching you now I'm
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: not really grandaddy. Yeah yeah. It always makes sure some
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: other people in the house with me because they already know,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: you know. And then my grandkids don't like when I
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: baby sitting because when they come in, my offer them
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: to stay in my office, and they don't like my
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: TV selection. If I had them in there the other
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: day when we were watching forty eight hours, you had
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: your grandchildren watching forty eight hours of murder and it
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: was it was a good episode too, so we was
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: turning it and just sit here and learn your ass something. Now,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: if you do wrong, your ask to be in this
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: room interrogating with this in this fifty eighth degree weather,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: in this room, that's fifty eighth degrees getting talked to
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: by these white people. And you don't want that now
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: shut up? Oh like a scared straight Yeah yeah, all right,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: don't because when you hide, you see more kids than
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you actually have. So that's why I don't baby shit.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I'm sot sixteen kids. All moving on. Would you rather
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: tell the truth for a full week, just tell the truth,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: no lies, no lies, be sure, okay, or sleep in
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a coffin for a full week. I can sleep in
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: the car. I got X wife. I've done that the
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: truth I was oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I had an ex wife. I've done that before. You
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: can do that. I've been before. I've been in the coffre.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah. But we do truth. No, alright, just dirt. Okay, Look,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: we'll be back with our last break of the day
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after closing remarks from the one and only,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: our fearless leader, Steve Harvey. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Here we are, guys, our last
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: break of the day on this Monday. Been a good Monday. Yes,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: it has. Thank you, Thank you so much, thank you Lord.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: It's right. Wow. You obviously didn't hear that. He say
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: thank you, unc. Thank you Lord is right. Yeah, I
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: want a lot of credit, but not the Lord though,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: thank you, UNC. Thank you? Lord is right? Hey up,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: ain't that effective? Trust me? Usually when people say thank you,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: they do say thank you lord. So yeah, I anticipated
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: something that didn't happen. I all want to remind you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: all as we are entering into twenty twenty two. Kinda
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: said this last week, but I want to make sure
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that everybody, you know, look, stay focused in twenty twenty two.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: You know, have your goals and your ambitions, and your
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: visions and your dreams, and write them clearly, as the
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: Bible instructed to write the vision and make it plain.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Do all of that. And like I said last week,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: but the thing that I learned that made it really
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: affective for me was not only do I ask for
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: things and I have timelines and expectations and wishes and desires,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: but I've now begun to make them all open to
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: God's will and timing and that and that helps you
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: with a lot of stuff. Now, Listen, You've you've got
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: to make a conscious effort. It's it's changing your trajectory
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: in life is a mental decision. It's a mental decision.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: Do you know how many people I know? Oh man,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: they can't move forward because they spend too much time
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: in the past. I just can't employ you enough. Listen,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: allow yourself the ability to move forward by allowing yourself
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: to release yourself from the past. Don't keep bringing it up.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Don't keep rehashing what you did, the mistake you made. Listen,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: God is a forgiving God. Ask God for forgiveness and
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: move on and stop allowing other people who are in
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: your life who constantly want to remind you of what
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: you did, what you said, who they saw you with,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: to hold you to that forever. You don't let anybody
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: do that to you. Remove those people from your life
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: who are constantly there to remind you of your past.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Get rid of them. They serve you no purpose. I
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: am telling you. And the reason I'm saying this because
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: recently I did something, an article or interview or something,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: and you know how, you read the comments, and I've
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: learned to stop reading the comments, but I'm human. Every
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: now and then you read the comments, and in the comments,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: someone tried to bring up my past, and another person
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: got in an argument with them about it, and I
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: was sitting there and I thought, Wow, what a useless
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: waste of time. First of all, on my part for
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: being stupid enough to read the comments, that's a waste
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: of time. But then for someone to put so much
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: effort to remind me of something I did when I
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: was twenty five years old. Twenty five, man, I'm set. Then,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I would First of all, this person that typed this
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: has never met me and don't even know me, but
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: had heard a story about me at twenty five and
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: bought it up. Do you know, God Willing, I'm about
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: to turn sixty five years old. Do you know that
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: a person bought up something that I did forty years
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: ago and was adamant about that, like that has something
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to do with the day. Be careful of people like that, man,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: and also be careful of this right here in twenty
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: twenty two. Be careful of people coming to you talking
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: about that's karma. Be careful of people coming to you
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: always talking about that's karma. Poor these people. What does
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: karma mean? Where did karma come from? You know, that's
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: not a person living that has the right to issue justice.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: There isn't a person alive who has been given permission
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: to bring up something from your past and bring it
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: to the current day and relate those two as to
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: why this is happening to you and label it karma.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Don't let anybody do that to you. You gotta be
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: careful of that man. I'm telling you, the devil is busy. Man.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: He's got some smooth tricks out there. I just want
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: to bring that trick away to everybody. Be careful of
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: people who talk about karma, because how do you know
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: this could be a test for a person. This could
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: be a necessary challenge that's put in place that's gonna
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: get this person to the next level, because everything that
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: happens to you is preparing you for what you ask
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: God for, even some of the negative things, because you
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: got to learn how to handle negativity, to deal with
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: what's about to happen to you. So when you get
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: to the next level and to have ill to little
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: effect on you, trust me, y'all be aware in twenty
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: twenty two, formal relationship with God. Get prayerful. Spend more
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: time praying in twenty twenty two, Spend more time being grateful.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: In twenty twenty two, get a better relationship with God,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: whatever that is for you, so you can have a
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: better twenty twenty two. That's on my closing remarks. I
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: hope it resonates with somebody if it didn't have another
