- 2:07Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:10Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got the radio show. I
- 2:13Speaker 1: feel it's necessary to explain what I say in the
- 2:16Speaker 1: morning because somebody asked me, what do you mean by
- 2:18Speaker 1: that when you say that in the morning. When I
- 2:21Speaker 1: say huh, it's in response to David Hollister opening the
- 2:27Speaker 1: song by saying, go ahead, big Daddy, go ahead. I said, uh, huh.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I show Will. Then I say good morning everybody. Because
- 2:35Speaker 1: I was raised at Ray, You're supposed to speak when
- 2:38Speaker 1: you come in the room. I'm coming in y'all's room,
- 2:41Speaker 1: whether it's your bad room, the room in your house,
- 2:43Speaker 1: your car, your office, you know, wherever you at, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: come in the room or God speaks. I say, good morning, everybody.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice. And then I got
- 2:53Speaker 1: to introduce myself because as a performer, I always felt
- 2:58Speaker 1: my best when I was introduced. It's knowing. Why would
- 3:01Speaker 1: you walk out on stage anybody introduce you. You know
- 3:03Speaker 1: you can't get the round of applause. It's just it's horrible.
- 3:07Speaker 1: So I say, you are listening to the voice wanting
- 3:10Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now that's
- 3:14Speaker 1: old school. I got that, but that's I was once again,
- 3:18Speaker 1: dig me, Now, is I want you to feel what
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm about to say. That's all I'm saying. That's not
- 3:24Speaker 1: a bragging thing. You know, you're listening to the voice
- 3:28Speaker 1: want and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to feel what I'm saying in
- 3:33Speaker 1: the morning because it's part of a promise that I
- 3:36Speaker 1: made to God. See a long time ago, I told God,
- 3:40Speaker 1: if he allowed me to make it, that when I
- 3:43Speaker 1: got there, I would tell everybody I know how I
- 3:46Speaker 1: did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or shady
- 3:49Speaker 1: on it. I said, if you allow me to make it,
- 3:52Speaker 1: if you give me the strength, the courage, the wisdom.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You gave me a gift if you let me apply it,
- 4:00Speaker 1: don't destroy myself in the process. Forgive me for my
- 4:04Speaker 1: sins along the way. Continue to hold and rock me
- 4:07Speaker 1: when I need it. When I make it, I promise
- 4:11Speaker 1: you Lord, when I get there, I will tell everybody
- 4:15Speaker 1: how I made it. Well. This started back in LA
- 4:20Speaker 1: when I got on the radio and I was making
- 4:24Speaker 1: it okay. I was doing okay, but I had to
- 4:28Speaker 1: keep my promise to God. My promise was, if you
- 4:31Speaker 1: allow me to make it, I'll tell everybody how I
- 4:34Speaker 1: got there. I have to tell you that every day
- 4:39Speaker 1: because if it was not for that grace and mercy,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't even be here able to fulfill my promise,
- 4:46Speaker 1: because I've done enough dirt in my life. Man to
- 4:49Speaker 1: not be worthy. He could have easily walked away from
- 4:52Speaker 1: me a long time ago because I had show walked
- 4:56Speaker 1: away from him. See, and I didn't walk away from
- 4:59Speaker 1: him once. I walked away from him a bunch of times.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But guess what He forgave me a bunch of times,
- 5:08Speaker 1: He let me back a bunch of times. He gave
- 5:12Speaker 1: me a second chance a bunch of times. I'm a
- 5:17Speaker 1: living example of hundreds of chances. I'm telling you, man,
- 5:23Speaker 1: hundreds of chances He's given me to get it right.
- 5:29Speaker 1: His forgiveness and his mercy is available for everybody. It's
- 5:34Speaker 1: the only reason I get on this show every day,
- 5:36Speaker 1: the only reason I have the blessings that's coming my way.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It's the only way that the things that keep happening
- 5:42Speaker 1: in my life, man, that I have no explanation for,
- 5:47Speaker 1: it is because of his grace and mercy. See, anytime
- 5:51Speaker 1: something good happens in my life and I can't explain it,
- 5:54Speaker 1: that's usually him. He's exhibiting to me. I love you, man,
- 6:02Speaker 1: he exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a forgiving god. Man. Remember,
- 6:07Speaker 1: So when you fall, Steve, don't lay down now. Don't
- 6:10Speaker 1: you lay down there. Don't you let the devil fool
- 6:13Speaker 1: you that because you'd have made some mistakes that you
- 6:16Speaker 1: ain't that you can't do it because everybody gonna make them.
- 6:20Speaker 1: There's none perfect, no, not once. So get up, keep moving,
- 6:24Speaker 1: keep pushing, step on what you're laying there for. Your
- 6:29Speaker 1: daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man, my father
- 6:32Speaker 1: was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you my
- 6:35Speaker 1: daddy never had a conversation with me about church. He
- 6:38Speaker 1: beat me for not going, but you know a couple
- 6:41Speaker 1: of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:47Speaker 1: being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving your life,
- 6:51Speaker 1: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:54Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher, so I got all of that from her.
- 6:57Speaker 1: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:59Speaker 1: My old man talk to me about one thing all
- 7:01Speaker 1: day long, hard working manhood. And when you're gonna get
- 7:04Speaker 1: that if you don't get nothing else from me, he
- 7:07Speaker 1: gave that to me, so I got it. See, So
- 7:10Speaker 1: who my father? You say, excuse my language, but you
- 7:12Speaker 1: ain't gonna sit there like a little punk up in here.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You ain't damn what you're fit to do. You fin
- 7:16Speaker 1: to get up and go do what you're posted to do. Now,
- 7:19Speaker 1: stop all that wine and like some little punk and
- 7:21Speaker 1: gonna get to moving. That's how my father talked to me.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And now I'm just telling you real it worked for me, though,
- 7:26Speaker 1: And before you start emailing me, that had nothing to
- 7:28Speaker 1: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:32Speaker 1: term for a man not acting like a man. That's
- 7:36Speaker 1: all it was. It had It was not a gay
- 7:38Speaker 1: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:40Speaker 1: you start emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That
- 7:43Speaker 1: wasn't not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:46Speaker 1: to us. That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:48Speaker 1: it meant. He couldn't admit that he didn't even know
- 7:49Speaker 1: nothing about that. My man clueless when it comes to that,
- 7:52Speaker 1: right there. So when I was getting down and feeling
- 7:56Speaker 1: bad about myself, my old man, he taught me this toughness. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: He gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go to
- 8:03Speaker 1: work and work hard. That's why today, when God does
- 8:06Speaker 1: bless me with something, he ain't got to wear about
- 8:09Speaker 1: me not working hard because that's in me. And when
- 8:14Speaker 1: I get tired, I asked that same God for strength
- 8:18Speaker 1: to keep on doing so I can do the blessings
- 8:21Speaker 1: he got for me. So when you ask me how
- 8:23Speaker 1: you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I don't know.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I ain't got to figure that out. All I got
- 8:29Speaker 1: to do is show up with the same amount of
- 8:31Speaker 1: faith for being showing up with God handle the rest
- 8:34Speaker 1: of it. See y'all, Hey, let me tell you. So,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I don't see how you do it. I don't either,
- 8:40Speaker 1: can I can I get? Hey, man, news flash, let
- 8:42Speaker 1: me hear. I don't see how you doing all that? Steve,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you're doing this? You doing that? You can I tell
- 8:47Speaker 1: you something? I don't either. I just wake up with
- 8:50Speaker 1: the faith man and trusting that if he gonna bless
- 8:53Speaker 1: me with it, he must be gonna show me a
- 8:54Speaker 1: way how to get it done. See, I ain't tripping
- 8:57Speaker 1: on that part. See I. Once you take yourself out
- 9:00Speaker 1: to how to business, you can go on and get
- 9:03Speaker 1: with it. But see if you're gonna trip yourself out
- 9:06Speaker 1: with the how to you can't think like God can think.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You can't figure like God can figure. So now you're
- 9:11Speaker 1: sitting up in here gonna Lord, I want this to
- 9:13Speaker 1: have him for me. Then I don't know how I'm
- 9:15Speaker 1: gonna do all that. Well, guess what You in the way? Now,
- 9:19Speaker 1: see you? Now you in the way because see, God
- 9:22Speaker 1: ain't ask you to figure out how to. He said
- 9:24Speaker 1: ask and believe. Then he said faith without works is dead.
- 9:31Speaker 1: That's my solution. That's the concoction that I'm functioning on.
- 9:35Speaker 1: See I ask, Then I just believe that he gonna
- 9:39Speaker 1: give it to me. Then I know what's I believe
- 9:44Speaker 1: that faith without works is dead. That's the concoction. Nah,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I put all that into play. So when God starts
- 9:52Speaker 1: dumping these blessings on me, and I don't see how
- 9:54Speaker 1: I got him, and you don't see how you got him,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and you you write about me, you don't know how
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna do all this, I don't tell you something
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't know either. I ain't got too though. All
- 10:03Speaker 1: I got to do is accept the blessing, keep the faith,
- 10:07Speaker 1: be willing to work, and believe God can do anything
- 10:11Speaker 1: but fail. Why would God bring me this far to
- 10:15Speaker 1: leave me? Why would he bring you this far to
- 10:20Speaker 1: leave you? Quit tripping yourself out trying to think of
- 10:25Speaker 1: the way you can make it happen. Get out the
- 10:28Speaker 1: way and let God show you high can happen and
- 10:31Speaker 1: you can have something. So why I get up every morning?
- 10:36Speaker 1: I have no choice. I gotta get up in here
- 10:39Speaker 1: the rap when I'm running late, man, I try to
- 10:41Speaker 1: ply through here. Sometimes I don't make it, Man, I
- 10:43Speaker 1: gotta do a rerun. But I ply through here because, man, Steve,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you're gonna run out of something to say. No, I'm
- 10:48Speaker 1: gonna just keep thanking him now. You can't run out
- 10:50Speaker 1: of that canyon because you owe him that. Matter of fact,
- 10:53Speaker 1: when I get through talking, I really ain't thanked him enough.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Everybody getting ready, getting ready, get ready? Thanksgiving. It is old,
- 11:06Speaker 1: but I need to warn you for the next two
- 11:08Speaker 1: weeks you will be eating turkey, hash turkey sandwiches, turkey next,
- 11:13Speaker 1: turkey feet, turkey beaks. Let it go, man, don't think
- 11:18Speaker 1: all the turkey is gone. Okay, there's gonna be gonna
- 11:22Speaker 1: take it and to enjoy your ticket is the baddest
- 11:25Speaker 1: morning show in the world with challenge to man. What's
- 11:29Speaker 1: up Shirley? Oh, I'm so full of sugar and butter
- 11:32Speaker 1: and grease. Jay, good morning and ready to go up color.
- 11:41Speaker 1: What's up? Jay? Oh, Shirley, you are so writing. Let's
- 11:44Speaker 1: add that cheese in there. Girls. Yeah, and I know
- 11:50Speaker 1: my my writing party and crime is definitely full. Junior,
- 11:53Speaker 1: what's up with your boys? I didn't get turkey? I
- 11:55Speaker 1: give a pass thet pies up? What kind of sweet potato, blueberry, banana,
- 12:03Speaker 1: sweeping tato you pick one? Yea. He is the King
- 12:09Speaker 1: of Franks. He's here also, y'all, what's up? Kind of?
- 12:13Speaker 1: I didn't eat at all, but I did. Man, we
- 12:20Speaker 1: got a TV show, the very small portion of Greens People,
- 12:29Speaker 1: and that was it for the evening. That's all. I
- 12:32Speaker 1: came on Thursday, I promise you. I don't know, Carl,
- 12:36Speaker 1: you know what we got through cooking. I looked at
- 12:38Speaker 1: the kitchen. I was like, this is just too much food. Man. Whatever,
- 12:43Speaker 1: what thanks it given is if you squeeze me right now,
- 12:46Speaker 1: some butter was gonna come out. Look. I think when
- 12:49Speaker 1: you shell you right, even diabetics overdo it. Thanksg's the
- 12:55Speaker 1: eating holiday, that's the thankful eating holiday. So Jay know
- 13:00Speaker 1: what Tommy is saying. Though, when you do cook a
- 13:02Speaker 1: lot of food, you don't want to eat it. However,
- 13:05Speaker 1: that maybe at that moment. Yeah, but Thanksgiving you eat
- 13:09Speaker 1: what three times? Jacky made me a plate and put
- 13:13Speaker 1: it aside. I just I just never got to it.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I think you're right. It's because he's un thing about
- 13:19Speaker 1: black people. I have to watch plate in the refrigerator,
- 13:23Speaker 1: it stays there. To eat it. Well, Jay, I say
- 13:27Speaker 1: that I did come back to a Saturday. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and the flavor was really in there. And you gotta have.
- 13:39Speaker 1: You gotta have the right tupperware to put the food up.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I can't stand a lot of aluminum foil and all
- 13:45Speaker 1: that stuff. And I don't I like got no special
- 13:56Speaker 1: old butter container holes green real. I like toup aware
- 14:01Speaker 1: in the fridge. I do not like open it all
- 14:04Speaker 1: the everybody whatever timperware. I've tried. You get the cheap
- 14:13Speaker 1: gun and if you don't have it, foil not in
- 14:22Speaker 1: my fridge, Greens, it's something wrong with you. Yeah, bu
- 14:30Speaker 1: All right, listen, coming up in thirty two after the

- 14:37Speaker 1: what the fellas did they worked over the holiday and
- 14:41Speaker 1: all of that. When we come back at thirty two

- 14:48Speaker 1: we're here. Let's find out how it was Thanksgiving holiday
- 14:51Speaker 1: for everyone? How how is everybody's holiday? I'm fantastic. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: it was really good at a great time. Yeah, it
- 15:00Speaker 1: was good to be home, right, it was good. Less yeah, man,
- 15:04Speaker 1: and thankful, I mean so much to be thankful for
- 15:07Speaker 1: when you really really think about it, just so much,
- 15:10Speaker 1: really a blessing. You know, the food was great, the
- 15:12Speaker 1: company was great, the music, everything was great. It was
- 15:16Speaker 1: something that was bad. Now, let's let's not run over this.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's some dishes that came to my house that didn't
- 15:21Speaker 1: get touched. Let's quit time about the food was great.
- 15:24Speaker 1: This was great. A lot of houses, thank you, you
- 15:29Speaker 1: go first. Yeah, it was good. That looked like dressing
- 15:36Speaker 1: and macaroni at the same damn time. I don't know
- 15:41Speaker 1: at the same time it was. I don't know if
- 15:43Speaker 1: it was dresserroni, but it was so that looks like
- 15:46Speaker 1: macaroni and dressing at the same time. I never touched that.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It was not dressing. Like everything, man, I was simple.
- 15:55Speaker 1: What the roles? It was? Somebody birth the damn roles.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I just want to say this. We don't eat green
- 16:05Speaker 1: bean casserole. We don't do that. But there's always somebody
- 16:09Speaker 1: somebody to keep bringing. Yeah, we don't do green bean casserole.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We just don't. That's what we call it our house.
- 16:16Speaker 1: That's everyday food, Thanksgiving food, and and it's something different
- 16:20Speaker 1: than everyday food. We don't do as a people. Green
- 16:24Speaker 1: bean casserole. It's in the Bible, right, That's in the Bible,
- 16:27Speaker 1: isn't it. Well, I have a who's German? German? And
- 16:34Speaker 1: she brings a German dish. Don't nobody eat though? Poor
- 16:37Speaker 1: swear is great? I don't know what is it now?
- 16:52Speaker 1: That's everyday food, every day that I gotta say something about.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I gotta say, somebody who's ever making the sweet teeth
- 16:59Speaker 1: and a diabetic sweet? You can't stand next to it?
- 17:05Speaker 1: I mean, come on, come on, you're going to a
- 17:09Speaker 1: black function. You gotta bring your own tea. But sir,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I know, I know I can't. Can't you cut it
- 17:19Speaker 1: with lemon jay or so? You can't cut that, you
- 17:23Speaker 1: know what I mean? Lemons? You need to cook it.
- 17:26Speaker 1: You gotta use a robot stir. Where were you gonna say, girl?
- 17:32Speaker 1: You said something? Well was I was gonna tell you, guys,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I traveled. We went to Birmingham to my in laws.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It was oh man, I had fun in the ham
- 17:41Speaker 1: and let me tell you. My mother in law put
- 17:43Speaker 1: her foot in I'm talking about gumbo oyster dress saying
- 17:47Speaker 1: I cooked them. Oh we got down, we got damn.
- 17:51Speaker 1: She taught Tasha how to cook. I had the videos
- 17:54Speaker 1: all on my social media, a little spot Carlow. We
- 17:56Speaker 1: had a good time. So it was good when you good.

- 18:39Speaker 1: Hold on, Junior. Did anybody just get out of jail
- 18:42Speaker 1: that was there? No, but you know some of the
- 18:49Speaker 1: drug addicts had returned. Oh lord, I don't know what
- 18:56Speaker 1: it is people that dude though, but they know Thanksgiving
- 18:59Speaker 1: his own Thursday. Hey, come back on Tuesday, clean themself
- 19:03Speaker 1: up on with it like they've been there a whole week. Now,
- 19:06Speaker 1: this is fact. I'm not lying, just back and then
- 19:09Speaker 1: I'm not doing it in people. Just just let me
- 19:11Speaker 1: know in my line. No, yeah, so it was a
- 19:15Speaker 1: show back up it was some other sea. Y'all man
- 19:19Speaker 1: at me because I'm telling true about my people. You know,
- 19:24Speaker 1: you don't have to tell them where they haven't thank

- 20:14Speaker 1: said still one a m M. Yeah yeah wow yeah.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I had to kid well. I'll say this. My husband
- 20:23Speaker 1: was very happy on Thursday after he ate. Thursday night
- 20:26Speaker 1: the Saints played and one oh yeah they did. Child
- 20:30Speaker 1: was celebration time? Probably an ignorant question, you think it's
- 20:38Speaker 1: probably an ignorant question. Call come, but is it all
- 20:41Speaker 1: right too? You know, um, when you staying at your
- 20:45Speaker 1: in laws? Is it all right to I know it
- 20:48Speaker 1: taught me, I know, are you talking about it? All

- 22:48Speaker 1: He's a mouth breather. All right, then let's get down
- 23:03Speaker 1: the business that now. And I have some complaints and
- 23:06Speaker 1: you have to all right. He has one situation. We
- 23:11Speaker 1: have Sister Jaski Matthews, one of our crime members. It
- 23:15Speaker 1: is threatening to protest. He wants to be allowed to
- 23:19Speaker 1: breastfeed from the choir stand doing service since they won't
- 23:24Speaker 1: feed the children at Daycares. He's threatening to march with
- 23:27Speaker 1: no top on around the church twenty times. And she
- 23:31Speaker 1: has twenty three women who are marching in her support.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So that is the first church complaint, not being able

- 25:23Speaker 1: of them, so they need lessons on how to discipline
- 25:26Speaker 1: their Negro grandchildren. So they don't have a meeting on
- 25:30Speaker 1: disciplining Negro grandkids in room four because they passed how
- 25:36Speaker 1: to comb their hair class. We've had that class that
- 25:39Speaker 1: was very successful, very that's great corn rolling. Yes, all right,

- 27:57Speaker 1: to pard their teeth to raise money for brother Danny.
- 27:59Speaker 1: We bear mining. He is out now and hasn't repaid
- 28:04Speaker 1: them like he promised. The time is up at the
- 28:06Speaker 1: pond shop and they have melted the Gold Teeth down
- 28:10Speaker 1: and sold it as a necklace. It was thirty six
- 28:15Speaker 1: members and they are asking for us to help them
- 28:17Speaker 1: get their teeth back. Yeah, that's called yeah ment now
- 28:31Speaker 1: is he laughing? Our don't know. The pastor has asked
- 28:39Speaker 1: all women who were lace fronts to just push them,
- 28:42Speaker 1: push them up to the front. Just just fronts too
- 28:54Speaker 1: far back of our congregation. But to keep working of
- 29:00Speaker 1: this front. You how to put it in the front. Now,
- 29:06Speaker 1: Carl is not gonna like this. Listen, our one legged

- 29:13Speaker 1: problem is that they are teasing the Blind Dark Team

- 30:43Speaker 1: in today's news and headlines, but first in today's entertainment news.

- 33:42Speaker 1: last week. Yeah, how was their placement? Their song placement BBD.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I saw the Real Housewives of Atlanta last week where
- 33:52Speaker 1: Candy Barris from Escape telling them because they had did
- 33:55Speaker 1: a tour together, saying that the group needs to work
- 33:58Speaker 1: on their song placement. Kendie looked at running the ball like,
- 34:01Speaker 1: if you don't have several seats, ask you about I'm
- 34:08Speaker 1: about to come and see you running. Yeah, but it

- 34:30Speaker 1: from this Antrip. Thanks everybody. This is Antrip with the news.
- 34:34Speaker 1: There were protests outside of mall in suburban Birmingham, Alabama,
- 34:38Speaker 1: over the weekend after Copson Middling shot and killed the
- 34:41Speaker 1: wrong man. Yes it was a black man. Cops and
- 34:43Speaker 1: who were Alabama say they were looking for a gunman
- 34:46Speaker 1: who shot two people Thanksgiving night when an off duty
- 34:49Speaker 1: officer who was working security at the mall shot and
- 34:51Speaker 1: killed twenty one year old Edmantick Bradford Junior, who was
- 34:55Speaker 1: not the shoobter and who did not have a gun.
- 34:58Speaker 1: As it happens in these kinds of case, the officer
- 35:00Speaker 1: who killed him is unpaid leave pending further investigation. Young
- 35:04Speaker 1: Bradford's family feels that provides the perfect opportunity for the
- 35:07Speaker 1: police to change the facts, so they're suspicious, But their attorney,
- 35:10Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump says, since there's a video, the remedy is obvious.
- 35:14Speaker 1: You know what would that suspicion? Transparency? Don't say no,
- 35:19Speaker 1: mos just released the video. Attorney Crump says that the
- 35:23Speaker 1: police labeled young mister Bradford a killer and even praise
- 35:25Speaker 1: the cop who killed him before they knew the details.
- 35:29Speaker 1: The man accused of killing an anti racist protester during
- 35:33Speaker 1: a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year goes
- 35:35Speaker 1: on trial today. James Fields, Junior, charge was driving his
- 35:38Speaker 1: car into a crowd of protesters during the Unite the
- 35:41Speaker 1: Right rally, killing a thirty two year old white woman
- 35:44Speaker 1: named Heather Higher. Dozens more were injured. Hundreds of Central
- 35:48Speaker 1: American migrants began marching from Tijuana to the US border yesterday.
- 35:52Speaker 1: They were met by US agents who employed tear gas
- 35:55Speaker 1: to keep them at bay. The Central Americans say they
- 35:57Speaker 1: had hoped to press their cases for asylum in the US. However,
- 36:00Speaker 1: the US Customs Border Control Agency closed the Cedro border,
- 36:04Speaker 1: which is between San Diego and Tijuana. It has now
- 36:06Speaker 1: been reopened. Looks like former Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulis
- 36:11Speaker 1: is going to jail today. Over the weekend, a federal
- 36:14Speaker 1: judge turned down his request to delay his prison term.
- 36:17Speaker 1: George Papadopoulis pled guilty back in October of twenty seventeen
- 36:21Speaker 1: to make in false statements to the FBI, and a
- 36:23Speaker 1: judge later sentenced him to two weeks in prison, two
- 36:27Speaker 1: hundred hours of community service, one year of supervised release,
- 36:31Speaker 1: and a ninety five hundred dollars fine. In this recent ruling,
- 36:34Speaker 1: the judge says, among other things, that Papadopoulis waived his
- 36:37Speaker 1: right to appeal as part of his original plea deal. Again,
- 36:40Speaker 1: he serves two weeks. President Trump's back on the stump
- 36:44Speaker 1: for the first time since the midterm election. Today, Trump
- 36:47Speaker 1: campaigning for the Mississippi Republican Senate kennidate Cindy Hyde Smith,
- 36:50Speaker 1: who's in a runoff election against former Agricultural Secretary Mica
- 36:55Speaker 1: sp Hyde. Smith was appointed to the Senate floor after
- 36:58Speaker 1: Senator thad cockpitsign because he was ill. Video of her
- 37:01Speaker 1: recently went violent vil viral rather where she tells the
- 37:04Speaker 1: supporter she'd attend a public hanging with him if he
- 37:07Speaker 1: asked her to. President Trump has endorsed hid Smith on Twitter.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Airline flights mewhile canceled because of a blizzias slamming the Midwest,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and finally we got a full tank of gas, half
- 37:18Speaker 1: of back of cigarettes. It's darkness. Ah, you don't need
- 37:20Speaker 1: all that. Today is Cyber Monday, the monday after Black
- 37:23Speaker 1: Friday went. About one third of American shoppers made Christmas
- 37:25Speaker 1: purchase on the internet. And it's been answered with the
- 37:28Speaker 1: news that back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 37:31Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show. Here we go again, another one.
- 37:37Speaker 1: The Alabama police have admitted to fatally targeting the wrong man.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Police shot and killed twenty one year old Emantic Fitzgerald
- 37:46Speaker 1: Bradford Junior on Thanksgiving Day following a shooting in the
- 37:50Speaker 1: River Chase Galleria mall in Hoover, Alabama. We all know
- 37:54Speaker 1: that mall. We've all been there. Yeah, we've been. That's
- 37:58Speaker 1: the absolutely. Yeah, absolutely, I was just there. I was
- 38:02Speaker 1: there for that weekend, right, Yeah, yeah, I knew you
- 38:06Speaker 1: were there. I thought about this when I heard this story.
- 38:08Speaker 1: The victim's family called for the Hoover Police Department to
- 38:11Speaker 1: release all videos and information relating to his death after
- 38:17Speaker 1: a police officer wrongly shot him, Emantic Bradford Junior. This
- 38:22Speaker 1: is according to multiple reports, Bradford was trying to defuse
- 38:26Speaker 1: the chaos at the mall. Attorney Benjamin Crump has been
- 38:30Speaker 1: retained by the family, and mister Crump wants the video
- 38:32Speaker 1: released because it will show the mistakes that the police
- 38:35Speaker 1: made and it will exonerate the victim. Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Junior.
- 38:41Speaker 1: What a horrible story. I'm Thanksgiving Day, you're trying to help. Yeah,
- 38:48Speaker 1: they thought he was the shooter. Yeah, yeah, it's horrible, Tommy,
- 38:53Speaker 1: I mean, the family they were just outraged, just like
- 38:56Speaker 1: everybody is. We all are hearing this story and people
- 38:59Speaker 1: on social media they're talking about it, and it's just
- 39:03Speaker 1: they killed this man on Thanksgiving. He was just with
- 39:07Speaker 1: his family and now they wrongfully accused him. They thought
- 39:11Speaker 1: he was the shooter. Yeah, they do, so now as
- 39:15Speaker 1: the shooter. The shooter is still out, he's at large.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The shooter is still at large. The police at least
- 39:20Speaker 1: they admitted it, but try to anything. Yeah, they can't
- 39:27Speaker 1: bring him back. Yeah, at least he don't have a
- 39:29Speaker 1: gun in his hand. He was licensed to carry, he
- 39:34Speaker 1: was licensed to carry a weapon. He was trying to
- 39:36Speaker 1: diffuse the situation. And you know why they thought he
- 39:41Speaker 1: was the shooter. Yeah, because he was a black man
- 39:43Speaker 1: with a exactly yeah, exactly exactly yeah. Yeah, So it's
- 39:48Speaker 1: like it's always us. Meanwhile, you know, white men can
- 39:53Speaker 1: kill up dozens of people and then they get arrested.
- 39:57Speaker 1: They don't get killed, they don't get killed. So it's
- 40:00Speaker 1: that ongoing outraged that we here consistently that our men
- 40:05Speaker 1: and our boys are constantly you know, it's the same
- 40:07Speaker 1: to the can we say this no, Presidents? No? And
- 40:12Speaker 1: can we say this? Thank God for Benjamin Crump, Attorney
- 40:16Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump. He's always right there on the front lines
- 40:18Speaker 1: fighting for justice, and this family has retained him. Um,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you will be following this story and keeping your post it. Yeah,
- 40:28Speaker 1: our philiate Hot one oh seven seven in Birmingham. I'm
- 40:31Speaker 1: sure they'll have more details too. To pass along. Yeah. Yeah,
- 40:35Speaker 1: and that's a lot of heavy news guys coming up
- 40:39Speaker 1: next set about thirty four after the hour, we're gonna
- 40:41Speaker 1: switch gears a little bit lighten things up with today's
- 40:44Speaker 1: comedy segment. This one's called you might want to get
- 40:46Speaker 1: that checked out. You're listening to show before we got
- 40:52Speaker 1: to Tommy Junior and Jay with today's segments, you might
- 40:55Speaker 1: want to get that checked out. I have to tell you, guys, Yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 1: I have to tell you guys this. When I came
- 41:00Speaker 1: into the studio today, I think I was the first
- 41:02Speaker 1: one here. I thought someone had really put like one
- 41:05Speaker 1: of those big pine Christmas trees in here in the studio.
- 41:09Speaker 1: But guess what, there was no tree in sight, no tree,
- 41:13Speaker 1: no tree. Turns out they clean the studio with the
- 41:17Speaker 1: original pine salt, you know, the one we all know, Yeah,
- 41:21Speaker 1: with that amazing pine sense. Yeah, clean the kitchen, yes,
- 41:29Speaker 1: because if you didn't smell that sense. Yeah, if you
- 41:32Speaker 1: didn't smell that pine sense, it wasn't clean. It wasn't
- 41:35Speaker 1: clean to us, that's right. Yes, So I'm thinking the
- 41:38Speaker 1: original pine saw, like you said, Tommy, the og of
- 41:40Speaker 1: the pine salt. That is the way to go this holiday. Season.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Not only can it be used in a fun way
- 41:47Speaker 1: to clean the whole house, it can help make sure
- 41:49Speaker 1: that my guests enjoy that amazing holiday smell too. I
- 41:53Speaker 1: think anyone's having a Cyber Monday sale on a pine
- 41:56Speaker 1: saw you'd say, oh, yeah, that's today. Yeah, okay, Monday.
- 42:00Speaker 1: It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas. Here, change
- 42:04Speaker 1: beginning to smell a lot like pine stock. Change the chat,
- 42:07Speaker 1: change it up. Claim I love that smell. But anyway,
- 42:13Speaker 1: as we were saying, Tommy Junior and h Jay are here.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Of course Steve's out today, but Jay tell us about
- 42:20Speaker 1: this segment. Things you might want to get checked out.
- 42:23Speaker 1: It's very serious. It's very serious. These are These are
- 42:26Speaker 1: phrases that when someone says this to you, or no,
- 42:29Speaker 1: when they say this to you, they need to get
- 42:31Speaker 1: that checked out. If somebody sit, they need to get
- 42:34Speaker 1: If somebody says to you, I have a rash on
- 42:38Speaker 1: my chin, oh yeah, you need to take that on
- 42:43Speaker 1: and sit there. Yeah, don't let that sit there. I
- 42:51Speaker 1: don't know what this means, but I'm growing a ponytail
- 42:54Speaker 1: at the back of my neck. Yeah, you both you
- 43:00Speaker 1: might want to do if your homeboy says to you,
- 43:06Speaker 1: Hey man, I don't know. It just means I don't
- 43:09Speaker 1: know how to tell you, but I'm making breast milk.
- 43:11Speaker 1: What that means? You might want to get that checked

- 46:37Speaker 1: members gave me a number, but I guess they they
- 46:39Speaker 1: must have gave me the wrong number. I guess it's
- 46:41Speaker 1: is this a home number or what is this? Hell?
- 46:44Speaker 1: Of hello? Who? Who? Who is this again? My name

- 48:09Speaker 1: And uh, I mean, you know my pops just passed
- 48:12Speaker 1: away not too long ago. And I ain't you know,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I ain't too keen or my mama going out with somebody,
- 48:19Speaker 1: and besides you, you don't even sound like you. Hey,
- 48:21Speaker 1: she in the sixties. Man, older you man, I'm thirty six.

- 48:46Speaker 1: but my mom ain't no cougar like that. And I
- 48:48Speaker 1: know she ain't coming after you right now. I remember
- 48:51Speaker 1: telling me that she trying some new things at this church,
- 48:53Speaker 1: but going out with some thirty thirty. How do you

- 49:05Speaker 1: My mama gonna be dating to say okay, okay, than Jane.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Let me say this man. First of all, I ain't
- 49:09Speaker 1: even know I was calling you. Second of all, I'm
- 49:11Speaker 1: calling and speak with her. I'm not calling trying to

- 49:16Speaker 1: and whoa, whoa, whoa talking about I don't think you're
- 49:20Speaker 1: every man. I just came back from fighting overseed. My
- 49:23Speaker 1: pops passed away not too long ago. I am the
- 49:26Speaker 1: man of the house. Let's get that straight right now,
- 49:28Speaker 1: all right. I don't care if I'm still living at
- 49:30Speaker 1: home or not. I'm the man of this house, all right.
- 49:33Speaker 1: You calling the ass my mama on a date, you
- 49:36Speaker 1: might as well just stick the church dog, because you know,
- 49:39Speaker 1: as I said, be blessed, but it ain't gonna be
- 49:41Speaker 1: no blessing from me to you. I tell you that
- 49:44Speaker 1: right now. Okay, I'm not looking for a blessing from
- 49:47Speaker 1: you at all. Bro. You might no blessing, but I
- 49:52Speaker 1: respect the fact that you've been overseas and you've been
- 49:54Speaker 1: fighting for this country. Okay, But if I decide I
- 49:57Speaker 1: want to speak to miss Burns about going out, the
- 50:00Speaker 1: Burns has every right to decide if she would like
- 50:02Speaker 1: to go out with Gordon's or not, and Gordon wants
- 50:05Speaker 1: to take her out, I took up holding up. Look, bro,
- 50:09Speaker 1: I don't care how old you say you are, all right,
- 50:12Speaker 1: Number one, you're too young, as I already mentioned. All right,
- 50:14Speaker 1: this ain't going down with you and my mama. I'm
- 50:18Speaker 1: straight up, hey, man, that's for your mama to decide.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Do you you bringing up my mama. You're letting the
- 50:24Speaker 1: word your mama come out your mouth again. That's gonna
- 50:26Speaker 1: get you up, all right. I don't know where you're from.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I don't get how old you are. I'm pretty sick.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I know what church my mamma go to and and
- 50:35Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be her and you you ain't gonna
- 50:37Speaker 1: be asking her out, all right. I don't give what
- 50:40Speaker 1: it take. I would show up on Sunday, catch up
- 50:43Speaker 1: in the pulpit or wherever you're gonna be sitting in
- 50:46Speaker 1: the back of the choir. It don't matter something's going down.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You are not gonna get with my mama like that.
- 50:52Speaker 1: You got that. That's up for your mama to decide.
- 50:54Speaker 1: If your mamma want to go out with me down dinner.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I ain't a long with that, man. I'm I'm deciding
- 50:59Speaker 1: it right now. It ain't gonna happen. I told you before,
- 51:02Speaker 1: d blessed or get your wo You got two choices,
- 51:06Speaker 1: all right. I didn't fight. Let's see these three years
- 51:09Speaker 1: to come back. And also deal with my daddy did
- 51:13Speaker 1: and then come back. I'm suffering from PSD. Dog, I
- 51:16Speaker 1: don't know what I'm gonna do unless you want to

- 51:35Speaker 1: have no trouble about you. Man. All I'm gonna say
- 51:37Speaker 1: is this right here. I'm I'm gonna I talk to
- 51:39Speaker 1: you mom on Sunday. Okay, you ain't gonna tell them?
- 51:42Speaker 1: Are you not hearing me? Man? I'm okay, I'm crazy
- 51:45Speaker 1: right now? Okay, can I say this? Can I say
- 51:47Speaker 1: one more thing to you? Man? So you explode? You

- 56:00Speaker 1: to anybody, how Erica bad dude number Steve might have it. Steve,
- 56:06Speaker 1: I just want to man, she looks so good last night.
- 56:08Speaker 1: That that comfort that she had on but made it
- 56:10Speaker 1: look like a nice man. That girl that was killing
- 56:13Speaker 1: it with me, Lante, that's your fun looking comfortent. Did
- 56:17Speaker 1: you see it now? Yes? It was gold comfort comforters
- 56:23Speaker 1: treatment a wide. Are not gonna do like girl, Eric
- 56:31Speaker 1: blackout Curt like blackout, Curt looked good. Crazy. I needed
- 56:37Speaker 1: with that hat on. I need all that that hat
- 56:40Speaker 1: and and then and then brass knuckles. I need all
- 56:43Speaker 1: that hold on type we got. Let's star, let's go said,
- 56:53Speaker 1: all right, here we go. Subject my old man and
- 56:56Speaker 1: his old lady. There Stephen Shirley. I am thirty three
- 57:00Speaker 1: years old and who is madly in love with the
- 57:03Speaker 1: sixty three year old man. We have been dating for
- 57:07Speaker 1: over a year and we spend a lot of time together.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I am head over heels in love with this guy
- 57:13Speaker 1: and I want to spend the rest of my life
- 57:15Speaker 1: with him. The only thing that is stopping us from
- 57:17Speaker 1: being together is the fact that he is best friends
- 57:19Speaker 1: with my child's grandparents. I'm very close to them and
- 57:23Speaker 1: we have a great family bond. I am an angel
- 57:26Speaker 1: in their eyes, and they would be heartbroken and I
- 57:29Speaker 1: would be ashamed if they found out. That's the one
- 57:32Speaker 1: thing that is keeping us from being together, not even
- 57:36Speaker 1: the fact that he is married. Yes, that's right, he's married,
- 57:41Speaker 1: and I'm okay with that. Yeah, yeah, oh that Yes,
- 57:47Speaker 1: that's right. He's married, and I'm okay with that. Because
- 57:50Speaker 1: she is basically just at the house as his roommate,
- 57:54Speaker 1: I get treated like I'm the wife. He takes me
- 57:56Speaker 1: on vacations, we are always out together in public, and
- 58:00Speaker 1: he bought me a house recently. This is the best
- 58:03Speaker 1: relationship that I've ever been in, and the sex is
- 58:06Speaker 1: the best I've ever had. He tells me daily that
- 58:10Speaker 1: he loves me, not his wife, but he has not
- 58:12Speaker 1: made any effort to get rid of the wife. I
- 58:15Speaker 1: told him that I'm ready to let the world know
- 58:17Speaker 1: about us, but he has to move in with me
- 58:20Speaker 1: so I won't look stupid when people find out we're
- 58:23Speaker 1: a couple. I don't want my child's grandparents to see
- 58:26Speaker 1: me as a home wrecker. Either I want to live
- 58:29Speaker 1: peacefully with my man, but his wife is in the
- 58:32Speaker 1: way of our happily ever after, how do you think
- 58:35Speaker 1: I should handle this situation? Please? Help you? Aren't you
- 58:39Speaker 1: kidding me? Right now? I mean, come on, you've got
- 58:42Speaker 1: to know that this is a goat nowhere relationship. He's
- 58:45Speaker 1: not going to leave his wife. Don't you think if
- 58:48Speaker 1: he was going to leave her, he would have done
- 58:49Speaker 1: it by now. You guys have been dating for over
- 58:52Speaker 1: a year. You know he would have put in for
- 58:55Speaker 1: a divorce. Talk to his wife about a divorce, since
- 58:58Speaker 1: you know he treats you like the wife and she's
- 59:00Speaker 1: just the roommate. Listen, that's just what he's telling you.
- 59:04Speaker 1: You're not there, You don't know. He probably still sleeps
- 59:07Speaker 1: in the bed with her, like most married men do.
- 59:09Speaker 1: They sleep in the bed with their wives every night.
- 59:11Speaker 1: And when they sleep in the bed, guess what else happens.
- 59:15Speaker 1: There's some sets going on, girl, come on now. But
- 59:20Speaker 1: but but still he's doing it. Okay, she's not just
- 59:24Speaker 1: a roommate. Like he's telling you. You want to spend
- 59:27Speaker 1: the rest of your life with him. Okay, well, well
- 59:30Speaker 1: he's married. You can't do that, all right? The only
- 59:33Speaker 1: thing you're concerned with is that your child's grandparents are
- 59:38Speaker 1: friends with him. That's what you're concerned about, not the
- 59:40Speaker 1: fact that he has a wife and she's in the way.
- 59:44Speaker 1: But no, um, you don't want them to see you
- 59:46Speaker 1: as a home wrecker. You don't. You want to live peacefully,
- 59:49Speaker 1: but you want to live peacefully in a good relationship,
- 59:52Speaker 1: not in a relationship with somebody else's man. This is
- 59:55Speaker 1: not your man. You're not gonna be happily ever after
- 59:58Speaker 1: in this relationship is not going to happen, all right,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: So you need to move on with your life and
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: let this man go. Uh, let's go to junior. Come on, junior.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Question is I want to spend the rest of my
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: life with him? Well, let's just do some simple man. Okay,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: sixty three minus thirty three that's thirty years. Okay, it's
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: thirty years difference. Now I got the answer to this.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: The Bible say we promised three score and ten. That's seventy.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: He's sixty and three. Answer is seven, y'all have seven
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: years to the rest of his life. That's it. You
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: might well there you there, seven years is all you got,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: So you might will take that house live in that
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: enjoy that he bought. Get that. Check the medical records though,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: to make sure he healthy. So you can get the
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: whole seven and maybe get cut short at sixty nine
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and a half. That's all you got seven years, it's
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: my ass. He's got a wife, Junior. Yeah, well, hey,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: that ain't my problem. She wanted to live half the
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: she got seven years. That's all I'm saying. All right,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: here's the thing. This man is up in age, like
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Junior said, with sixty three, his life is already complicated
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: where trying to take care of two houses at one time.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: He's doing it. But that's what I'm saying, Tom, I've
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: heard you speak of this before. This is selfishness in
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: terms of thank you to come in and destroy what
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: he's got working right now. You know how complicated it
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: is to pay two mortgages to satisfy two household Sometimes
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: he probably don't know what a house he in, look
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: over in and go, oh my god, I'm I'm with
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: my wife. Oh let me get let me get ahold
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: of myself. Leave this man alone. Don't complicate he's got
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: all types of diseases. Probably don't complicate this man's life
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: any more. Okay, please, damn don't be selfish. Goat probably
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: probably got diabetes or something, he's saying. Not STDs, Tommy,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: he says, thinking, Yeah, that's what you're thinking, Tommy Jay
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: always thinking diabetically. But go ahead, all right, all right, listen,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: hang on to that. We'll let you finish that up,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: and we'll hear from the nephew. We're part two of
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: the guy's responses right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Steven Show. All right. Just to remind you, guys, at
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Mississippi's special runoff election for US Senate is tomorrow. Democrat
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: candidate Mike Espy will be our very special guest in
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: about twenty minutes. You don't want to miss it. We
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: need the entire state of Mississippi to please get out
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: and vote for Democrat Mike Espy tomorrow when Paul's open. Okay,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: before you go to work on your lunch break after work,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: we need you to show up and show out at
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: those polls tomorrow. Please, right now, do you want to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: see the lady who don't mind public lynches? Would you
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: rather see? How? Oh? Okay, all right, yeah you uh
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: uh huhs our candidate Mike. Come on, Mississippi. You can
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: do this right now. We do have a recap on
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter, and uh, let's were you finished with
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: your response? Jay? Quite finished? I just wanted to call
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: out how selfish this lady is to destroy the two
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: good things this man has. He's got two good things
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: going for himself, and why would you want to destroy that?
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Are all right? Sometimes people are just so selfish? All right?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: This letter before we get to the nephew. The subject
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: is my old man and his old lady. Thirty three
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: year old woman wrote this letter. She's madly in love
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: with the sixty three year old man. They've been dating
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: for over a year. They spent a lot of time together.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: He treats her more like the wife, she says, because
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: the wife at home is just a roommate and that's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all they have going on. She says. It's the best
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: sex she's ever had, it's the best relationship she's ever had.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: He just bought her a house. She wants to live
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: with this man for the rest of her life. But
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: he's still got a wife who's in the way, she says,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: And she wants to know what should she do? How
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: should she handle this situation? Tommy, it's on you, all right.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: You know what bothers me is. I can't staying a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: small number two. I can't saying a selfish number two.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: That doesn't realize you got a good thing going. You
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: got everything you want. You want to live the rest
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: of your life with this man. You can. You live
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: it in the house he bought you. You live it
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: from over there, baby, he giving you every thing. You're getting,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: good sexs, you got out, you go on vacations. See.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: You know what, I'm gonna write a book to these
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: twols because these tuls kill me. It's it's it's it's
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the two I gets. So when I talk to these twos,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: they kill me with what they want in life. You
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: have chosen to be the two. Ride it out. Know
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: your number. You're the one who chose the two. Yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: don't be mad at being the two when you know
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you the too. Now it's a woman at the house.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: If he's sixty something, he's sixty something to somebody, somebody
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: fis to die. So why is you worried about this?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: What Julia said, don't know about get past seving it.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: So we we just didn't know. We did the math
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: at seven. Why Why are we worried about number one
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: when time is of the essence? Is a selfish too,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: And I tell I tell tools all the time, Sir,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I tell him all the time. Know your place. You
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: can't do this. You decided to be this number. But
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: now now, now he got to lay that air night
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: with you? Really? Really, ain't nobody you already saying you
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: got good loving, you got a nice house, you're gonna vacation,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: not somebody got to stay. Not somebody got late with
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: you here at night. This is selfish. She wants to
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: tell the world about their relationship. He wants to, Well,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: you want the world get a globe and say it
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: to it. He doesn't. He wants to let the world
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: know about that and say it to that and say
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: whatever you want to say. You don't get You don't
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: get to share this baby. You get to you get
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: to enjoy what he's giving you, But you don't get
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: to share this with the whole world. That's not that's
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: not how it's going. Well, can't What about her child's
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: grandpa parents? They think she's in a You need trying
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: to get them, You need try to get them put
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: in a home. What yeah, yeah, get them out your weight,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: because that's bothering you. There's two people right there. Get
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: them admitted, you know what I'm saying. Get them in
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: a home when the retirement community did, you need to
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: get them in there. Then you won't see them. They
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: won't see that, y'all. Living is to live peacefully with
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: this man. But his wife is in the way of
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: their happily. Ever after, she said, who's in the way?
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: When you're in that house by yourself, nobody, nobody, You
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: get to walk around and there is this This is
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: true selfish number two stuff right here. You got everything
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you want, good loving new house vacations, y'all, y'all even
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: out in public, gonna have din and stuff. What more
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: do you want? Sishness? She filed. So this is fineme,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: she files. I mean, I'm just listening. I hoped. I
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: just hope you're a bad example for twols you read it?
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Are you could find a man her own age, Okay,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: that's single with no wife that she can tell the
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: world about. That's what she can do. Well, yeah, you
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: could do that, I mean, but that wouldn't make a
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: good straw. We don't want anybody that has a nice,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: normal life. Sweet and tangy at the same time. You know,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: the thing that got me in this letter is when
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: she said she's an angel in their eyes, meaning her
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: child's grandparents, and they would be heartbroken and she would
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: be ashamed if they found out. That's the one thing
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: that is keeping us from being together. That's why you
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: gotta get them put in a home, shar Not even
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: the fact that he is married, though she's more concerned
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: about her child's grandparents than she is about the fact
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: that he's Mary. And she says she wants to live peacefully,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: but his wife is in the way of their All. Right, look,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. You can email us
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter. At
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey f M. Coming up in ten minutes, his
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: promised Mississippi Democratic candidate Mike Espy will join us to
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: talk about the special runoff election tomorrow. You're listening to
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Joining us now is Democrat
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Mike esp from Mississippi, the Great State of Mississippi, and
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: he aims to upset Republican Senator Cindy Hyde Smith in
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the Mississippi Senate special election runoff to to torrow Tuesday. Okay,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: we have to remember that day. It's very important. We
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: are all aware of his opponent's defamatory joke about a
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: published lynching and the nationwide attention that it's brought to
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: this special election Mississippi, Mississippi, Mississippi. You guys here us now,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: we have got to get out to the polls tomorrow.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: We have work to do. People a week. I want
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to change. Your name is Sydney by Smith. That's what
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: we want to change it to. Yeah, bye, I like
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: it ja, So please, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: For the first time on the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Mississippi's Democratic Senate candidate, mister Mike sp Good morning, morning morning,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: good morning, and morney to all of you. You know
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: you said Sydney bikes man, we realized their name is
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Sydney him. We call it hide right right because after
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: the statements she made, she's not making many, very very
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: many public appearances anymore. No, she was there, Yeah, I don't.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I can't imagine what she was thinking in her head
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to make a crazy statement like that. Well, you know what,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: she never apologized for it. She I mean, she didn't
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: not be baked for she when she read the about
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: A lot of people say it was just inconsider I
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: don't set him in beside her, and I just I just,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: you know, I just shipped my head. Those that don't know,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: mister sp tell everyone with your Republican opponent what she said. Well,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: there were two statements that braceful lot of concern. She
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: had a bus to her. She said that she was
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: setting with a friend of hers and she said that
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: he was such a good friend and if he invited
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: her twig public hanging and she would be in the
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: front row. A lot of people made the leaf from
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: public hangings, the legions, and that's caused a lot of
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: concern among folks Mississippi. How do you feel this it
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: has its swayed or what's the filia Mississippi now amongst
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: the voters there? Well, I mean, that's the gift that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: keeps on giving. As soon as he said that, our
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: donations went through the roof, and uh, I mean it
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: went viral within the first thirty minutes and everybody heard
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: about it. So all Mississippi is a good wheel just
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: got anger about it. So I think it activated faith
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: and then all the goose that I need to win.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: At least they know about it. And also you stand
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: committed UH as far as your platform platform is concerned,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: committed to creating well paying, quality jobs and an economy
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: that works for all Mississippians. You've out a support an
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: increase in the supply of child care services, UH, paid
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: family leave and increased minimum wage and an expanded earned
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: income tax credit, no doubt, no doubt. I mean Mississippi
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: is UH is last with all of a great lists
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: and in the high all the bad list, right, so
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: everybody mentioned of a bad list. But I believe is
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: that fifteen dollars mitmum wage. I believe in gender equity.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: You know we're only one of two stakes. Sound that
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: when women are bade seventy one since for every dollar
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: man makes for the same job. And that's just I mean,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: this is that's awful. And uh, you know I believe
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: dealing with in good man jobs fifteen dollars minimum wages,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: that's saying. I believe in free tuition at least the
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: first two years technical school, community colleges, and public colleges
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: for free. And we just got to get out our
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: students without in order to debt. We've got to get
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: them in a place where they can graduate. They have
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: a job here in Mississippi that's recently related to their
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: court subsist I mean education. We have to vote, and
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: we've got to make it uptatable and accessible. That's right,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: that's right, right, that's right. Again, this is a very
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: tight runoff. It's going to be tomorrow between you and
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: Cindy Hide. That's Hide or Bise Smith. Yeah, and this
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: could really have a momentous outcome. I mean, we're talking
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: history making here, a black senator from from a state
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: that hasn't elected an African American candidate to a statewide
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: office in more than a century and more than a
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: hundred years. What, well, we we have a white Democratic
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: attorney general. Oh but they have not been any other
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: state by a Democratic elect just nineteen eighties. That's crazy. That. Yeah,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: we have to make a change tomorrow, she said, She said,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: one more thing that you might be interested in, and
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: another one of those bus stops. She got all that
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: at university, and she was joking with the UM voter suppression.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: She made the statements that it would be good to
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: suppress the votes at the other universities, and then she said,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: those other liberal universes. So so we were asking her,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: what does that mean Jackson State, old porn, Missisippi Valley.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: And so though if millennials ever needed a reason to vote,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: they have one now absolutely absolutely and and and you
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: are our pick. You're our candidates. You are our candidates.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Need to stay thank you, stay off comics all we
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: need to bust to ride home out of the Yes, yes,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: yes we do weekend tomorrow. Wait a minute, what did
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: what did you say, senator? What happened about stuff the
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: all day you know, try to get out of the vote. Huh?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: And what about people told me that the bluff broke
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: down to day. Yeah. Well, listen, we are urging everyone
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: in the state of Mississippi to get out and get
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: to the polls tomorrow and make sure you vote for
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: this fine young man we have the privilege and honor
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to speak with today. His name is Mike sp He
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: is the candidate uh in Mississippi for the Democratic Senate
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: race against Cindy Hyde Smith who made that terrible statement
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: about she would attend a public hanging, uh, you know,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: in supportive Yeah, just come on now, this is twenty eighteen,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: and I want to remind everyone on that in nineteen
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: eighty six, I was like Bridge Base, thirty year old,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: had never run any offers in my life, and I
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: ran for Congress fund from the second district. I was
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the first black to win that cheapness of the walk.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: So we've done this before. I've done this before, and
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: we're gonna do it again. All right, they can be done,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: all right? All right, Yes, yes, we need we need
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: to college kids to definitely get out those millennials. You're right, Tommy, Yeah,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: they've got they've got to get out its fort and
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: now they have a reason beyond just y'ond just my core,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: my core of mission and my purpose statements. They need
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: to get out because she's telling them that they're both
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: need to be suppressed. That's right. They've got to just
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: know it's purple. Yeah. Your votes matter, people, they really do.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Your vote matters. All right, We're with you all the way.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Hopefully you will call us back and uh for victory
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: and talk to talk to us about your victory. Mike
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: sp Okay, you're so welcome. God's bee gott be with
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: you tomorrow. All right, We'll be back with more of
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this, you're listening
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the Soul Trade
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Awards were last night in Las Vegas. It was hosted
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: by best friend duo Tsha Campbell and Tahina Arnold. We
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: love them then on Martin we love them Now we
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: need a new show called Pam and Tam and Gina Gina.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I'm using a real name, ye, Gina, Pam. I'm like, yeah,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: gena Pam. They took it back to the nineties. Performers
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: included previous host Erica bad Man. I told you she
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: was fine, outstanding, Yes, Babe d was good. Of course
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: they opened up the show, uh Carl. They had great
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: song placement for those of you who know what that means,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: great thing. I just have one question. I watched the
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Soul Train Awards. It was great. I just need to
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: know how come Jill Scott didn't get a special award
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: for Best Video. That was def video. You ain't a
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: couple of weeks from the one online that's that's award
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: to win. I don't know. I wasn't impressed. I was
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: not impressed. She would have to show me. I'm gonna
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: have to yea, let me ask you this here's what
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I wanted. How do I get my wife one of them?
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Erica bad dude outfit, that hat, that thing in her nose,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: and then that thing that that that comfort that she
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: had on from bed bad and made made a jacket
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: out of that thing. I won't all that's available at
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: ball Erica bade gear. I won't. I won't come home.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: And she got that bad dude thing. But but you
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: got to have a nose ring in that cover your mouth,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: that too. All that. But you know, Erica has that look,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: she has that e collective. That's her styles. It always
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: has been. Yeah, yeah, and even more so now, even

- 1:19:26Speaker 1: about that from the roots he talked about in her

- 1:19:37Speaker 1: I wasn't an extra in the video. Yeah that was
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: she did all that in one take without a license.

- 1:20:13Speaker 1: go online. It's called Booty Meat. Check it out. He's
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: called window seat Man. Was called Booty Me. Yeah, but

- 1:20:23Speaker 1: check it out. Well. Anyway, back to the Strained Awards anyway,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: So Erica got the Erica Baddu got the Legend Award,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: and Steve was part of that video presentation that um

- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Rich people don't work on. Rich people don't work on Yeah.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: And Faith Evans is there. Faith Evan's performed and boy,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I gotta say her performance was outstanding as well. She's
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: just so happy now and yes, but she got faith Yeah,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and she has a new man and they look so
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: happy and blissful together. Yeah. I saw them together recently.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: They were very very happy. Um So anyway, on and on,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: John bat and more. Her had seven nominations Bruno, Mark Cardi,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: bat Her Jay that's that's that's him, sister, Now do
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: you get it right? But it was a great show though.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: It's I'm loving the Soul Train Awards. It's it's like
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: it's back to what it used to be when it
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: first started. Yeah. Yeah, like how they end with the
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: Soul Train line. Yeah, that's really good. Now that's what
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I miss. Call that Asian girl that used to be
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: in that Soul Train with the down Yeah. Yeah, that
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: girl could dance, man. Yeah yeah, yeah, we have some
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: scrabble boards, yes, yeah, Um, what was your favorite performance,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: like artists from Soul for man, No one had that
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: sling that slings arm in the sling, remember that, yes, yeah,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: well that's from the accident, wasn't it was that from
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: the accident, the grid accident. Yeah, I think it was
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Jackson five stros. Yeah. But you had what they did
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: last night, which was pretty cool. The Soul Training Awards.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: They went back to the nineties, so they showed all
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: of these performance like they showed Destiny's Child. You know,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: they were so young, looked like a baby. They was
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: so young up there singing, So it was it was
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: kind of cool, I think for me, My favorite was
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Aretha Franklin. You know her performance so Soul Training. Lettucey
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: dedicated her award to Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone, two legends.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I listened to a wreath of the entire Thanksgiving break
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: babying at my house, the entire Oh man, I would
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: not steady, you got, we would not go outside until
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Soul train went off. Yeah, you didn't go outside and
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: play until Soul Train went off. But yeah, when I
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: first moved to La years ago, that's all I wanted
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: to do is just go to Soul Train, go to
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Soul Train, meet Don Cornelius. Just I just wanted to
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: go and right on time for another ride and a
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: big train. They're gonna do UM from the same people
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: that brought to you. I think UM new edition and
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: the Bobby Brown Story. They're doing a show called American Soul.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I saw the promos for it. Um I'm sory. Yeah.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: But Don Cornelius story, yeah, produced by his son Tony Cornelius. Yeah,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: and so weird that American Bandstand, which a lot of
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: people don't know. Try to stop that show for the
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: longest man, really, Yeah, that was a show. A lot
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: of the black artists went on, and then Soul Train
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: changed a lot of that. Man. Wow, I went to
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: a taping of Soul Train and the studio was so small.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: It's really really small, and I look so big on
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: TV people all in the hell crazy man. You know
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: what else I means to I think what was classic
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: too is the commercials back in the day that came
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: on during Soul Train. Those were approch and yeah yeah.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: And the big tall guy, the big tall guy with
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: the black trench and the dark glasses and the hat,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: just walking back and forth in front of the camera.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: That's all he did. But that was not a dance.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: To me. It great to be a cameraman back then.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Oh lord, we'll be back in the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Those are the lists of the hotels that black people
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: could stay in back in that time. It was called.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Yeah that's what it was called. Yeah, that's why go

- 1:27:06Speaker 1: want to see that Vito what is his name? Movie
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: are so good? Yeah? This movie is really really good.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: You see Oscar in this every movie that he makes. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: they would definitely, but I would see maybe because he's
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: got maybe a bigger name, he probably would get nominated
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: and maybe the other guy wouldn't. But they both Herschela
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: has one so on here, Yeah he has one for yeah. Yeah,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: and widows. Oh my goodness. What movie starts out kind
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: of slow, but then when it picks up, man, yeah,
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: it's in she doing he starts in the JA. She
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: looked like she did that herself. Man, I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: but all you have to say to me is Viola Davison.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I'm there. Yeah, I'm in the city. But did she
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: slot like she did in? Did she do? You? Right there?
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: I've been standing here the whole time, standing here the
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: whole time. All good, We're yeah, okay, we'll come back
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: and have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the stew Here we go again,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: another one the Alabama police have admitted to fatally targeting
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: the wrong man. Police shot and killed twenty one year
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Junior on Thanksgiving Day, following a
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: shooting in the River Chase Galleria Mall in Hoover, Alabama.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: We all know that mall. We've all been there. Yeah,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: we've been that's absolutely, yeah, absolutely. I was just there.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: I was there for that weekend, right, Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: knew you were there. I thought about this when I
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: heard this story. The victims family called for the Hoover
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Police Department to read release all videos and information relating
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: to his death after a police officer wrongly shot him
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Emantic Bradford Junior. This is according to multiple reports, Bradford
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: was trying to defuse the chaos at the mall. Attorney
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump has been retained by the family, and mister
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Crump wants the video released because it will show the
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: mistakes that the police made and it will exonerate the victim.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Junior. What a horrible story. I'm Thanksgiving Day,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: you're trying to help. Yeah, they thought he was the shooter. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: it's horrible. Tommy. I mean the family. They were just outraged,
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: just like everybody is. We all are hearing this story
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: and people on social media they're talking about it, and
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: it's just they killed this man or Thanksgiving. He was
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: just with his family and now they wrongfully accused him.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: They thought he was the shooter. Yeah, they do. So
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: now as the shooters, the shooter is still out, he's
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: at large. The shooter is still at large. The police
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: at least they admitted it. But yeah, they can't bring
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: him back yet. He doesn't have a gun in his hand.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: He think he was licensed to carry. He was licensed
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: to carry a weapon. He was trying to diffuse the situation.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: And you know why they thought he was the shooter. Yeah,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: because he was a black man with a yeah exactly, exactly, yeah. Yeah.
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: So it's like it's always us. Meanwhile, you know, white
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: men can kill up dozens of people and then they
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: get arrested. They don't get killed, they don't get killed.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: So it's that ongoing outrage that we hear consistently that
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: our men and our boys are constantly you know, it's
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: the same can't we say this no presidents, you know,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: and can we say this thank God for Benjamin Crump,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: attorney Benjamin Crump. He's always there on the front line
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: fighting for justice, and this family has retained him. Um,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: you will be following this story and keeping your post it. Yeah.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Our affiliates Hot one oh seven seven in Birmingham. I'm
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: sure they'll have more details too to pass along. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: and that's a lot of heavy news, guys. Coming up
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: our last break of the day with the guys and
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: closing remarks. We started with Thanksgiving. Let's end it with Thanksgiving, guys.

- 1:32:41Speaker 1: did that come? Bro? What? Okay? Okay? Like okay, Carl,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: like you was you was in Birmingham with with your
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: in law. Yes, right, So like when you there and

- 1:33:02Speaker 1: So do y'all be in his old room? No? No, no,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: because you got my husband. He's from New Orleans, so
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Mike laws left New Orleans after Katrina Ou Yeah, I
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: know that, okay, But y'all be in the guest room then, right?
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: I can answer that, Tim. Yeah, it's not to do
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: it in the house with or without someone. If you
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: far away, not you need to leave the table. Take
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: care that. Let me take this right now. I'm gonna
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: stop shaking your right hand. We're not damning up no more,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: We're not doing it. Always say that and then you
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: know and then you start thinking about it. Shirley. You
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: always talking about how he don't like company. You know,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: he did alone, moving on, people moving on the hell

- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Do not answering the question because it sounds like, yeah, embarrassed.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: I can't well, I was gonna say, I can't believe
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: you asked that, but I couldn't even fix my mind
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: to say that. I was at my house. I was
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: at my house. I was at home and I had guests. Yes,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: so like like, okay, so y'all had guests. So y'all, y'all,

- 1:35:08Speaker 1: gonna lie. It was fun. It was good to see
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: some family members kit chat, talk to my mom a
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: long time. I get to hang out with her a
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: little bit. So yeah, yeah, yeah, I won. It was
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: a blessing. Uh, it really really working. But I'm blessed.

- 1:35:23Speaker 1: m M, looking forward to it. Just my kids. They
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: already got everything. Well, you got so much to give them,
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: so you know that's you. Yeah, you're the one doing
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: on that. You set the regulation on that home. Yeah,
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: you set the regulations on that. What what is what
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: a matter of fact? What is the regulation? What should
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: it be? Ain't whatever you saybody else? Family, your people
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: created all the people. I tell you what. My daughter
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: just asked me for a design her bag and she
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: was like, Mommy, I want one like you got. I said,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: you need to get a job, school. What else coming
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: from your teen? That's not gonna happen right now. So
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: you said that, you know, you said the rules tommy,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: and no it's okay, yeah, yeah, no, one's good. No
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: one's a response. But we feel like you, since we
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: didn't have as much, we feel that we should have.
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: We give more. And and you know what that makes ja,
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: That makes ungrateful entitled kids. Yeah we got him, we
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: did it. Yeah, I have him. I have one biggest
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: I don't mind giving my daughter, uh something I have
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: like a bag already have but to go. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: you know that she can have one of those right,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: and she ain't getting a new one. Oh no, precious.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: And the words mamma is here because it's been used,
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: damn it. That's why I can't in the bottom of
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: from a restaurant. Yeah, yeah, yes, indeed, yeah, absolutely, Like
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: I'm just telling I go home, I'm spoiled. I gonna laugh.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: You know, my grandmother spoiled me. You know, I go
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: to my grandther. I said, that was a big fight
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: because she fixed my plate, didn't fix nobody else. They
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: got mad about that. Really, and she did it, so
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: you know she has to keep doing it. Yeah. Well,
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: I tell you, we have to teach our children about
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: those that are less fortunate. Yeah, and that's where that's
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: what you have to do, tommy. And that's what I
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: did with my daughter all the time. And not only that,
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: we have to teach them the real meaning of Christmas.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: What it's not just about getting gifts exactly. Yeah, it's
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: about we're celebrating Christ's birthday. That's really you know. Let
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: me tell you where I put my foot down this
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: just this past weekend. My son's gonna tell me I
