New law that helps parents recover unpaid child support takes effect in Mississippi today
New legislation requires casinos to cross-reference the names of anyone who wins more than $2,000 from slots and sports betting against a DHS database. If the winner owes unpaid child support, the facility would withhold the amount owed before paying out winnings.
