- 0:13Speaker 1: giving the move like themaking buck bus things and its
- 0:18Speaker 1: star me true good it. Steve har listening to other
- 0:26Speaker 1: for STU. Please I don't join join me to be
- 0:53Speaker 1: with me. You gotta turn hur, you gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn out, got to turn out. Then turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come come on your back at it? Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. Real glad about it too,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know. Um, I hope that God always keeps me
- 2:19Speaker 1: in a frame of frame of mind to try to
- 2:22Speaker 1: be sharing and try to be motivational, and even when
- 2:27Speaker 1: it's not felt or wanted by some people. I have
- 2:32Speaker 1: people around me who seem to not benefited off anything,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and I can sit with them and talk to them
- 2:40Speaker 1: or take meetings with them to try to encourage the
- 2:42Speaker 1: man for whatever reason. You know, they want to just
- 2:45Speaker 1: keep going the way they're going. When you run into
- 2:48Speaker 1: people like that, you have to pray for them. You
- 2:50Speaker 1: have to just hope that one day that they release
- 2:53Speaker 1: the chains on their mind and open up your mind
- 2:56Speaker 1: to a new way of thinking. A couple of things
- 2:58Speaker 1: I wanted to go over with that I want you
- 3:00Speaker 1: to all today in terms of motivation. I want you
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be aware of statements or old sayings that have
- 3:10Speaker 1: been created that you hear over the course of time,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and you may be applying them to your life. And
- 3:17Speaker 1: I want you to be careful of some of them
- 3:20Speaker 1: because some of these old sayings, man, are not designed
- 3:25Speaker 1: for people who are dreamers, are not designed for people
- 3:30Speaker 1: who have any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not
- 3:35Speaker 1: designs or sayings that people who want to be extremely
- 3:40Speaker 1: successful at anything or have high aspirations to put these
- 3:45Speaker 1: sayings into your life. Let me give you an example.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Statistics say that's it. That's the one who want you
- 3:56Speaker 1: to be careful about statistics, say be very careful of stats.
- 4:04Speaker 1: When a person says, you know statistics, say one out
- 4:08Speaker 1: of every what see, listen to me. These are things
- 4:13Speaker 1: that sound like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're
- 4:17Speaker 1: setting you up for failure and you can't adhere yourself
- 4:22Speaker 1: to a lot of these sayings that's been passed down
- 4:25Speaker 1: from generations and it's not scripture. It ain't in the
- 4:30Speaker 1: scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people, and
- 4:35Speaker 1: a lot of people who have lost have come up
- 4:38Speaker 1: with these sayings to justify why they keep losing or
- 4:42Speaker 1: why they lost. When I was ears got started in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the business, there were more stand ups around now than
- 4:51Speaker 1: it is today because the comedy boom in eighty four
- 4:55Speaker 1: eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentums,
- 5:00Speaker 1: comedy clubs, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:04Speaker 1: told me, I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:09Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:15Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:21Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:28Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow,
- 5:31Speaker 1: man's oh that's rough. Because a guy had also said
- 5:36Speaker 1: that there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country
- 5:41Speaker 1: at that time. I don't know if it was true.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm just telling you guy was out the sputing numbers.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I have no idea how many it was, but he
- 5:48Speaker 1: said one in every two thousand will make it to
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Tonight Show. And he let the air out of
- 5:53Speaker 1: everybody in the room button be so every night before
- 5:58Speaker 1: I went on stage, I used to do that. It's
- 6:00Speaker 1: right here Badama da bada la la la da Badaampa
- 6:07Speaker 1: ba la la la da. That was the tonight theme song.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I was young, opening act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: was in Cleveland telling jokes at one night us. But
- 6:18Speaker 1: that was my thing because I was bent and determined
- 6:22Speaker 1: that if it's one in two thousand, okay, why don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: I just be the one? Be careful when people say
- 6:28Speaker 1: statistics say because they are set up to ful failure.
- 6:32Speaker 1: If you're gonna adhere to him, see that one in
- 6:35Speaker 1: so many? It was wasn't so many people win the lottery.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:39Speaker 1: be the one to hit. Now when the dude hit
- 6:40Speaker 1: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:44Speaker 1: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be alright, let's
- 6:50Speaker 1: go one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 6:59Speaker 1: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:04Speaker 1: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:07Speaker 1: because you didn't stay to the task because you quit,
- 7:11Speaker 1: turned around and went the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:14Speaker 1: not It wasn't the Lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:18Speaker 1: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,
- 7:23Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old
- 7:28Speaker 1: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen
- 7:31Speaker 1: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Who came up with this? Who came up with the
- 7:41Speaker 1: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:45Speaker 1: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:48Speaker 1: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:53Speaker 1: not played basketball sun up to sundown, these as guys
- 7:58Speaker 1: that put all their eggs in one basket. See what's
- 8:02Speaker 1: cool with putting all your eggs in one basket is
- 8:05Speaker 1: you now can maximize your effort and laser beam what
- 8:08Speaker 1: you're doing. If your basket is made out of faith, hope,
- 8:14Speaker 1: hard work, and belief, then guess what, that's a good basket.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm dumping all mine in it because ever since I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was a young dude, I've been telling jokes one thing,
- 8:24Speaker 1: one thing only, even when it got ugly, and I
- 8:27Speaker 1: was living in a car. I never quit telling them jokes, man.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 8:32Speaker 1: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I ain't taking no time off. Go work at the Walmart.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Give me a job, go back to forward and beg
- 8:41Speaker 1: for my job back. Hey man, put all your eggs
- 8:45Speaker 1: in a basket. Just make sure that your basket is
- 8:47Speaker 1: made up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket
- 8:53Speaker 1: woven by God what you're tripping for. And then here's
- 8:56Speaker 1: another one. Let me throw this one that you always
- 8:59Speaker 1: have a plan and B. Why do you have a
- 9:01Speaker 1: plan B? Listen to me. In order to have a
- 9:04Speaker 1: plan B, you have to stop working on plan A
- 9:07Speaker 1: to formulate plan B. In order to have plan B
- 9:11Speaker 1: to fall back on. You now have to stop your
- 9:13Speaker 1: time working on plan A to apply some effort to
- 9:16Speaker 1: have a plan B. So in case plan A don't work,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you can fall back on plan B. Really, who told
- 9:22Speaker 1: you that you're defeating yourself? Where is your faith? Where
- 9:27Speaker 1: is your belief? At one point in time, you got
- 9:30Speaker 1: to believe that God could do what he say gonna do,
- 9:32Speaker 1: because he even't done it for others. He'll most certainly
- 9:35Speaker 1: do it for you. Be careful of these sayings that's
- 9:38Speaker 1: out here, that's aligned by losers and people to justify
- 9:42Speaker 1: why they are not succeeded. Don't apply this stuff to
- 9:45Speaker 1: your life. And it ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You're gonna mess yourself up. Get your plan A, make
- 9:50Speaker 1: it work if it don't ever come to pass, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: get another plan A. All right, Okay, you're listening, tow
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Let me have it again today your
- 10:04Speaker 1: undivided attention, because it's about to go down. Steve Harvey
- 10:07Speaker 1: Morning Show is on your radio. Steve Harvey got radio
- 10:11Speaker 1: show man for real. Yeah, Good morning, Shirley, Good morning.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Steve jumped right over to Junior Morning UC. I'm here,
- 10:21Speaker 1: head right on over to Jay Anthony Brown. Good morning,
- 10:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Glad to be here. Watch out there now,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Well the fool ain't here shitin' he'll so here we Yeah, Carlin, Carlin,
- 10:32Speaker 1: tell me you're out today. Yeah, got a lot going
- 10:37Speaker 1: on today. Oh you do day anniversary action, your wedding anniversary.
- 10:45Speaker 1: That's awesome, Steve. Okay, how many years now? Right? Thirteen? Okay, Wow, man,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you altogether. I've never done thirteen.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'm living my life through you, man, all together, Jay, together,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I've never strung out a whole man. You are my
- 11:06Speaker 1: black love, baby, black love. All right. Yeah, and Jay,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you, man, this is I ain't doing this.
- 11:15Speaker 1: What's the secret, Steve, what's the secret? Twelve years for
- 11:19Speaker 1: me or thirteen? What's the secret? Yeah? I finally found someone,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and I didn't do it this way before. I'm gonna
- 11:30Speaker 1: be honest with you. I found someone that my life
- 11:35Speaker 1: was better with and I could accomplish more with being
- 11:39Speaker 1: together than I could apart. That's it, Okay, I got that.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm I'm better with her than without her, no, no
- 11:52Speaker 1: question about it. She makes your life better. That's good.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I mean, even even when we disagree, my life is
- 12:02Speaker 1: better with her than without. I didn't always look at
- 12:07Speaker 1: it that way. But if you can find someone who
- 12:12Speaker 1: makes your life better to be in it then then separate,
- 12:18Speaker 1: then that that that's a good bet. And then, of
- 12:20Speaker 1: course it helps a great deal if you not only
- 12:23Speaker 1: love the person, if you like them, like them. Gotta
- 12:28Speaker 1: like them, yeah, gotta like them, because you can fall
- 12:30Speaker 1: out of like real fast. You got that right. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: there's one thing, there's one thing that you say that
- 12:38Speaker 1: I love Steve about getting an arguments and stuff like that,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you know, trying to be right, improve your point and
- 12:46Speaker 1: all of that. What does it matter who's right or wrong?
- 12:51Speaker 1: When love is gone? That's a song I like. Yeah, nice,
- 13:00Speaker 1: I love it. I love that because it puts it
- 13:02Speaker 1: in perspective. You can be right, you could be happy,
- 13:05Speaker 1: or you could be happy. You could be right, and
- 13:08Speaker 1: you did by yourself, by yourself. Yeah, it's okay. You
- 13:12Speaker 1: don't have to be right all the time, all that,
- 13:15Speaker 1: all that being right. Yeah, take one for the team. Yeah,
- 13:20Speaker 1: your team took a bunch for the team. Yeah, all right, listen, Uh,
- 13:31Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, we're gonna
- 13:33Speaker 1: recap last night's be ET Awards, hosted by our girl
- 13:37Speaker 1: we love her, Regina Hall. Yeah right after this, Yes
- 13:41Speaker 1: she did. You're listening to. Well, you know, there were
- 13:47Speaker 1: so many events happening all over LA this weekend. Uh,
- 13:52Speaker 1: for the b ET Awards just everywhere, you know, traffic
- 13:56Speaker 1: was was extra. Let's just put it like that. They
- 13:59Speaker 1: were not Huh. I did not experience one ounce of traffic.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You know why twice from my e at work, locked
- 14:09Speaker 1: up in a damn television studio. Well, if you were
- 14:13Speaker 1: out and about you would know. I didn't even know
- 14:17Speaker 1: it was b ET weekend. What Yeah it was. It
- 14:22Speaker 1: was greatness too. I mean, so many people in just
- 14:25Speaker 1: having fun, enjoying the city and all of that nightly
- 14:27Speaker 1: concerts at the Staples Center, day parties, brunches, so much
- 14:31Speaker 1: to do. Then last night we all watched the BEET
- 14:34Speaker 1: Awards and Regina Hall. Yeah, you know, we love her,
- 14:38Speaker 1: She's so funny. What a great host she was. What
- 14:40Speaker 1: a great host? Um did she do a good job?
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like great job? Yeah, uh yeah. And let me just
- 14:49Speaker 1: tell you how she opened it up, Steve, This was
- 14:51Speaker 1: really good. She opened it up with a tribute to
- 14:53Speaker 1: DC and Go Go music. We all love Go Go music.
- 14:56Speaker 1: So sugar Bear from EU was there. He performed Yeah
- 15:00Speaker 1: but his classic song got a big old but Yeah.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Then Tera G. P Henson joined Regina on stage. That
- 15:10Speaker 1: was great. Yeah, to the to the hashtag don't Mute
- 15:14Speaker 1: DC that was in the back drop, So I mean
- 15:18Speaker 1: it was it was just really good. I love the
- 15:20Speaker 1: opening parts of D for dog Park or something like that. Yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 1: gentrification is coming in everywhere, in all of our neighborhoods.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So they want to use part of Howard to do
- 15:32Speaker 1: a dog park. Excuse me? Why dog park? Right? You
- 15:38Speaker 1: want to take part of historical Black college for a
- 15:44Speaker 1: damn dog park. Now, for all the dog lovers out there,
- 15:49Speaker 1: excuse me, but I do not understand why you would
- 15:55Speaker 1: affect the grounds of an historically black college for excuse
- 16:01Speaker 1: my language, a damn dog. Paul, there's nowhere else you
- 16:06Speaker 1: could put this dog. Hey man, walk your damn dog
- 16:09Speaker 1: somewhere else. He is out there trying to get their
- 16:13Speaker 1: life together, Manu. Yeah crazy, I mean, so let's get
- 16:22Speaker 1: back to the beach. Your dog need a park more
- 16:24Speaker 1: than these kids need education. Excuse me? How does that
- 16:28Speaker 1: make sense? Anybody? Anybody? Is it just us or what?
- 16:33Speaker 1: I can't see it? Yeah? Come on now, uh we
- 16:36Speaker 1: we got to give it up to mary Ja though
- 16:38Speaker 1: her performance last night believable. She took it to another
- 16:45Speaker 1: level last she did she really did Old school Man
- 16:47Speaker 1: with a happen, Yes, yes, and all white. She did her. Ah,
- 16:52Speaker 1: thank you Mary j for that performance. And don't forget
- 16:55Speaker 1: Fantasian Oh yeah she's yeah, yes she did. Fantasia had
- 17:01Speaker 1: on some hype thigh high black boots. Okay, and what
- 17:05Speaker 1: is it about those thigh high boots that you men love?
- 17:07Speaker 1: Just make a man empty pockets? Thought, the first thing
- 17:16Speaker 1: we see is that, yeah, and some boots like that. Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 1: She you you know, looking at the whole leg is
- 17:23Speaker 1: a beautiful thing. Uh. But when you start in the
- 17:27Speaker 1: first thing you see is thih uh huh. Yeah, it's
- 17:31Speaker 1: no where to go from there. But oh yes, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: we can't forget that little cam came out on stage
- 17:36Speaker 1: with Mary Jake. She had on thigh hy It was extravaganza.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I want to remind you that j Anthony Brown has
- 17:46Speaker 1: had on that. You know what, when I was with someone, yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm whatever she wore, I would come out because I
- 18:01Speaker 1: was in saying I would come out with the same
- 18:02Speaker 1: outfit right after her. And in my opening thing was girl,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you knew I was gonna wet it. Why the hell
- 18:09Speaker 1: would you put on the same damn thing that I
- 18:12Speaker 1: got on? Man, I was there, Jay, that was crazy.
- 18:18Speaker 1: He came out with the short, some blitty cutters and
- 18:24Speaker 1: all white and white THI hyper thanks for bringing that up, Steve.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Thanks I forgot all about that. I was at that
- 18:34Speaker 1: show on the floor. Hey, I've dressed like the FTD
- 18:37Speaker 1: man in the studio, so it is no end to
- 18:40Speaker 1: what I won't do man. Yeah, Pat panther all of it. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you've done a lot. Yeah. I was with you back
- 18:48Speaker 1: in the day when it shoted. When you was Jay
- 18:52Speaker 1: took a picture as Mercury. Yes, he had on some
- 18:56Speaker 1: silver shoes with some wings on it. Oh yeah, and
- 18:59Speaker 1: a little wing helmet around his head. But Ash nicked
- 19:04Speaker 1: in position position Ash nicked with some silver shoes with
- 19:13Speaker 1: wings on the little wings on his head. Huh. But
- 19:16Speaker 1: the Heisman trophy position. Wow. One thing you always say,
- 19:20Speaker 1: go for the funny, and that's what I do. I
- 19:21Speaker 1: go for the funny. Oh yeah. You needed Steve to
- 19:24Speaker 1: tell you that though, or you wouldn't have done it right.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Get out of here, Jay, Yeah, the album of the year.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Congratulations going out to Cardie B. At least she had
- 19:37Speaker 1: some good news over the weekend. Yeah. Yeah, Detroit native Lizzo.
- 19:41Speaker 1: You all familiar with Lizzo. I love Lizza. She was
- 19:44Speaker 1: rapping for those full figured divas as always. And yeah
- 19:50Speaker 1: the juice Yeah, and she plays the flute of course,
- 19:54Speaker 1: that is her thing. And twerking while she plays. Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 1: right there, thank you play the flute and twerk. You
- 20:00Speaker 1: are gift. Everybody can do that. It gets you a
- 20:03Speaker 1: cow payment if you can. How much is Reverend Al
- 20:11Speaker 1: Sharpton was there. He presented the Bobby Jones' Best Gospel
- 20:15Speaker 1: Award to Snoop Doggs. Right, Snoop Doggs. Yeah, yeah, really good.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Snoop wasn't there. He's in Atlanta, I think filming a
- 20:24Speaker 1: TV show, so he wasn't able to be there anyway.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And Little NASAs and Billy Ray Cyrus performed their number
- 20:31Speaker 1: one song, Old Town Road. Congratulations to them eleven straight
- 20:35Speaker 1: weeks being number one. But anyway, we'll talk about it
- 20:38Speaker 1: throughout the morning. Great show though, great BAT awards last night. Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: it was really good. All right. Coming up next, it's Monday,
- 20:47Speaker 1: so Reverend Motown, Reverend Adnoid are here with church complaints,
- 20:51Speaker 1: oh Lord. And we'll be back at forty four after
- 20:53Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anne
- 21:01Speaker 1: will be here with our national news and entertainment news.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Jesse small Ut back in the news, so is Curtie b.
- 21:07Speaker 1: We'll talk about that both in legal trouble right now,
- 21:10Speaker 1: Reverend Motown, Reverend Adnoid, our special guests, and Deacon Junior
- 21:14Speaker 1: in the building here with church complaints and announcements. We
- 21:24Speaker 1: interrupt this regularly scheduled program. You can hear the breathing
- 21:31Speaker 1: in the back. Is that what that is? Deacon def
- 21:35Speaker 1: Jam is out calls hell, Tommy ain't here. Pull back
- 21:41Speaker 1: that curtain, look right back. So we're going to have
- 21:46Speaker 1: church complaints by U my brother or Reverend ad Noid
- 21:53Speaker 1: and h I don't know why, or Junior or Deacon
- 21:57Speaker 1: Junior Junior the junior d con Junior is in the
- 22:01Speaker 1: building also, but go ahead, gentlemansh Yes. Pastor Sister Perkins
- 22:11Speaker 1: who speaks with a heavy list. She's really upset that
- 22:16Speaker 1: you won't stand there and listen to her ask you
- 22:19Speaker 1: anything because you keep walking off every time she speaks,
- 22:23Speaker 1: and she's really upset about it that I don't want,
- 22:28Speaker 1: nor do I care how Sister Perkins feel. Wait, what
- 22:34Speaker 1: is this? What I'm not fitting to do is have
- 22:38Speaker 1: you spitting all over me because you can't pull yourself
- 22:43Speaker 1: together and get some type of counsel and a therapy.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Now you had this listen, she was a baby prayer
- 22:52Speaker 1: obviously ain't changed it because you pray. You didn't pray
- 22:57Speaker 1: the prayer of faith, You didn't wait on it. You
- 23:02Speaker 1: asked to listen, to stop, you open your mouth, you
- 23:04Speaker 1: still had listen. You went on with it. Next, next,
- 23:09Speaker 1: we're done with it. You finished out. Nobody couldn't. I
- 23:14Speaker 1: have been talking to everybody's been talking to everybody. I've
- 23:18Speaker 1: been talking to. I'm seeking everybody speaking to several of
- 23:22Speaker 1: the church members pasta and what they would like for
- 23:24Speaker 1: you to do. This is directed that shoot to cut

- 25:51Speaker 1: could you? Yeah? I want to address that. Thank you
- 25:54Speaker 1: for bringing it up. Ad Noid. That's due to a
- 25:57Speaker 1: commercial that's been running it on TV of a shirt

- 27:38Speaker 1: as a child. It's cussed me and don't expect to
- 27:41Speaker 1: get cussed back. One of the major lessons I learned
- 27:44Speaker 1: as a child in card class was due unto others,
- 27:48Speaker 1: as you would have him do under you, you must
- 27:51Speaker 1: want it this custom. No, of course, that what you've
- 27:55Speaker 1: done to me, That what I'm doing. Yeah, well yeah, yeah,

- 28:35Speaker 1: I'll dude, I recommend the same thing I do with
- 28:38Speaker 1: the woman that's got the list. I just walk off,

- 28:46Speaker 1: walk on. You've been doing that a lot lately, Pastor. Yeah,
- 28:51Speaker 1: you've been doing that a lot of while. I'll walk
- 28:53Speaker 1: right out your face. Where's your compassion? Pastor? Huh? All right? Well,
- 29:03Speaker 1: on that note, coming up at the top of the hour,

- 29:11Speaker 1: thank out church. Thank you pass right after this you're
- 29:17Speaker 1: listening to show. So Steve Jesse Smalllett is back in
- 29:24Speaker 1: the news. Yeah, this was unexpected. It was a ruling
- 29:28Speaker 1: by veteran Cook County Judge Michael Tumanuh, he was. He
- 29:32Speaker 1: has appointed a special prosecutor to reinvestigate the circumstances of
- 29:37Speaker 1: Jesse's alleged attack. Judge Tuman blasted Tates State's attorney Kim
- 29:43Speaker 1: Fox's handling of the prosecution. Seems like everyone has um
- 29:48Speaker 1: saying her botched decision to appoint her top deputy to
- 29:52Speaker 1: prosecute Smalllett after recusing herself invalidated the case from start
- 29:57Speaker 1: to finish. The investigation could be on going for months
- 30:00Speaker 1: and could cost and cast a cloud over Kim Fox's
- 30:04Speaker 1: bid for reelection next year. Well look, God, let me
- 30:09Speaker 1: say this, This right here is beyond ridiculous. Of all
- 30:16Speaker 1: the things we could reopen, of all the crimes committed
- 30:23Speaker 1: in the city of Chicago perpetrated against black people, you
- 30:31Speaker 1: think that cost this one black dude is accused of
- 30:37Speaker 1: perpetrating a false police report and a fake hate crime.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Now this the worst thing that happened in the city.
- 30:46Speaker 1: When you steady, steady, be free in folks from killing
- 30:51Speaker 1: black people, they don't reopen up none of these Hey, man,
- 30:55Speaker 1: this is this is this is beyond ridiculous to me.
- 30:59Speaker 1: You know, man, I got y'all mad because the little
- 31:02Speaker 1: brother so called got off with what y'all for soul
- 31:05Speaker 1: was guilty because you all did not give him the
- 31:09Speaker 1: innocent to proven guilty thing. You are just attached guilty
- 31:13Speaker 1: to him and you wanted to make an example out
- 31:15Speaker 1: of him. But why don't you make an example out
- 31:17Speaker 1: of some of these police officers that kill these black
- 31:19Speaker 1: people and get to uh and get to sit at
- 31:22Speaker 1: the house with pay and then go to court after
- 31:25Speaker 1: years and get exonerated. Why are none of these cases
- 31:28Speaker 1: never opened? This is a blatant, blatant This to me
- 31:35Speaker 1: is racism, man, because well see that is the whole
- 31:43Speaker 1: system of thinking that some black person and got off
- 31:47Speaker 1: because of another black person. But when a white person
- 31:52Speaker 1: get off because of another white person, ain't no real
- 31:56Speaker 1: l It's just as it's just a sad. This Jesse
- 32:02Speaker 1: Smollett case is not the worst thing that we meet
- 32:05Speaker 1: to need to be dealing with in the city. Of Chicago. Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and there's some huge problems in this city. Man. Oh yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: and and and we really need to address that. And
- 32:13Speaker 1: reopening the Jesse Smollett case. Boy, that's some. That's some.
- 32:17Speaker 1: That's some. That's some. They they so mad, they so mad.
- 32:23Speaker 1: The man, this is, this is it is more legal
- 32:27Speaker 1: trouble ahead for Cardi b as well, Steve. She has
- 32:30Speaker 1: been indicted by a queen's grand jury over a strip
- 32:33Speaker 1: club brawl that happened last August. Carti is alleged to
- 32:36Speaker 1: have ordered an assault on two bartenders at the strip
- 32:39Speaker 1: club because she thought one of the bartenders slept with
- 32:42Speaker 1: her husband offset. Carti was initially only charged with two
- 32:45Speaker 1: misdemeanor counts of assault and reckless endangerment, but after rejecting
- 32:49Speaker 1: a plea deal in April, she will now face fourteen
- 32:53Speaker 1: charges based on information that turned up during the investigation. Wow,
- 32:59Speaker 1: Cardie's arrangement, it's scheduled for tomorrow and queens, we'll be
- 33:02Speaker 1: watching that and I'll let you know. Yeah. Wow. All right,

- 33:16Speaker 1: a trip with the news. Okay, here we go again.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Officials them the Dominican Republic are engaged in damage control
- 33:21Speaker 1: right now as they try to try to help the
- 33:24Speaker 1: nation's biggest business, tourisms stay afloat. Close to three million
- 33:28Speaker 1: Americans visit the dr every year, which is about half
- 33:31Speaker 1: their tourist trade. Since the beginning of the year, though,
- 33:33Speaker 1: there have now been eleven mysterious dess of American tourists.
- 33:36Speaker 1: On top of the death of a black American couple
- 33:38Speaker 1: from Upstate New York that man found floating face down
- 33:42Speaker 1: on the river and the woman unconscious on the side
- 33:44Speaker 1: of a road, and another one was found beaten nearly

- 33:50Speaker 1: was shot and nearly killed while sitting at a local club.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Locals are accusing the media of painting their country in
- 33:55Speaker 1: the quote worst light. President Trump's changed his mind again
- 34:00Speaker 1: this week. It was on firing on Iran. He's threatened
- 34:02Speaker 1: to do it but then decided not to at the
- 34:04Speaker 1: last minute. This time, it's on deporting illegal immigrants. Trump
- 34:07Speaker 1: announced that starting Sunday, which would have been yesterday, that
- 34:10Speaker 1: immigration agents would start arresting and deporting more than two
- 34:13Speaker 1: thousand people. The president now says that the ice raids
- 34:17Speaker 1: will be delayed for a couple of weeks quote at
- 34:20Speaker 1: the request of the Democrats unquote. Trump says he wants
- 34:22Speaker 1: to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together
- 34:26Speaker 1: and work out a solution to the problems that the
- 34:28Speaker 1: southern border. If not, Trump says, then the deportations will start.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's what he says, by the way. There, The Bloomberg
- 34:36Speaker 1: News service reports that the president falsely claimed that his
- 34:39Speaker 1: predecessor is the one who first started separating migrant parents
- 34:42Speaker 1: from their children at the southern border. Trump told NBC's
- 34:45Speaker 1: Meet the Press that, quote, you know, under President Obama,
- 34:48Speaker 1: you had separation. I was the one who ended it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: I inherited separation from President Obama. But the Bloomberg report
- 34:55Speaker 1: says that's not true that while Obama administration did detain
- 34:58Speaker 1: migrant children who enter the US loan, it did not
- 35:01Speaker 1: separate children from their parents or caregivers. Also, President Trump
- 35:04Speaker 1: says he's slapping some additional sanctions on Iran today, and
- 35:08Speaker 1: he's wanting that he'll do even more if they don't
- 35:10Speaker 1: quote Torque Nice, the weather continues to be the big
- 35:14Speaker 1: story in many parts of the country. There were three
- 35:16Speaker 1: hundred damaging storms reports over the weekend from Colorado to
- 35:20Speaker 1: South Carolina. One person was killed in a place called Uhland, Illinois,
- 35:23Speaker 1: when a tree fell on his car. Another person was

- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm walking and let the four winds blow He's in
- 35:56Speaker 1: the Composer's Hall of Fame and all that. Dave Botholomy
- 35:59Speaker 1: was one years old at the movie's Toy Story four

- 38:04Speaker 1: because she was concerned about him touching her breath. But
- 38:08Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it'll all come out. You know,
- 38:10Speaker 1: we're still waiting on that one, all right, to peek
- 38:13Speaker 1: food to judge. You know who he is, right, the

- 53:50Speaker 1: letter live on the air. Okay, sharlet Well, it is
- 53:53Speaker 1: everybody's time with the Strawberry Letter with my good friend,
- 53:56Speaker 1: Shirley straw Berry. Thank you my good friend, Junior. Subject
- 54:00Speaker 1: He's handsome and so is she? All right, Dear Stephen, Shirley,
- 54:05Speaker 1: I am a fifty five year old mother of three
- 54:07Speaker 1: handsome boys. My youngest son is getting married, but I
- 54:11Speaker 1: have an issue with his fiance and I feel very
- 54:14Speaker 1: guilty about it. I hate to be rude, but the
- 54:17Speaker 1: girl he is marrying, she's just not that attractive at all.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I know, it's none of my business because he's the
- 54:25Speaker 1: one that has to live with her. But my son
- 54:28Speaker 1: is very handsome, and I feel like he could do
- 54:30Speaker 1: a lot better. His fiance is a sweet girl, and
- 54:34Speaker 1: she seems to really love him, but she's just not
- 54:37Speaker 1: a pretty girl. At their engagement party, one of my
- 54:41Speaker 1: best girlfriends pull me aside and ask why my future
- 54:43Speaker 1: daughter in law did not put on any makeup before
- 54:46Speaker 1: the party. I had to tell my girlfriend to look
- 54:48Speaker 1: again closely, because the girl did have her makeup done
- 54:52Speaker 1: by a professional makeup artist. My girlfriend was embarrassed for
- 54:55Speaker 1: even bringing it up. My older sons have nicknamed the
- 54:59Speaker 1: fiance d a m N because that is there, that
- 55:04Speaker 1: was their initial impression when they met her. Even yeah,
- 55:11Speaker 1: even my seventy seven year old mother said she must
- 55:14Speaker 1: really be good to him because she ain't hitting on
- 55:16Speaker 1: much in the looks department. Wow. My son has dated beautiful,
- 55:20Speaker 1: successful girls in the past, but now he's head over
- 55:23Speaker 1: heels for this young lady. I can't help but think
- 55:26Speaker 1: what their grandchildren will look like. What if they take
- 55:29Speaker 1: after her? My husband said, I'm going straight to hell
- 55:32Speaker 1: for my thoughts, but I'm just thinking about my grandkids.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I hope I'm not being too evil, but Lord, forgive me.
- 55:38Speaker 1: She's not pretty enough for my son. Is it wrong
- 55:41Speaker 1: to take looks into account when accepting your child significant other?
- 55:45Speaker 1: Should I tell him my concerns? Well, I mean you're
- 55:48Speaker 1: a mom, and this is what moms do, you know.
- 55:51Speaker 1: I mean, this is really just what they do. You know.
- 55:54Speaker 1: You said she's a good girl, you said she's a
- 55:56Speaker 1: nice girl. She's just not a pretty girl, you know.
- 56:00Speaker 1: But this is who your son wants. This is who
- 56:03Speaker 1: he wants to marry. She must be pretty to him
- 56:06Speaker 1: or have something that he wants. And maybe to him
- 56:09Speaker 1: it's just not all about looks. He's found, you know,
- 56:12Speaker 1: the woman of his dreams and who makes his heart flutter,
- 56:15Speaker 1: and that's who he wants to marry. And the heart
- 56:18Speaker 1: loves who the heart loves. Okay, it just does. I mean,
- 56:23Speaker 1: you gotta stay out of this. You've said way more
- 56:27Speaker 1: than enough already. Your other sons put their two cents
- 56:30Speaker 1: in it. Your mother, his grandmother, put her two cents
- 56:33Speaker 1: in it. I mean, you gotta make this young lady
- 56:36Speaker 1: feel welcomed into the family. And yeah, you are putting
- 56:40Speaker 1: a lot on looks. I mean, I get you want
- 56:43Speaker 1: cute grandkids. Who doesn't. But you know it's just not
- 56:46Speaker 1: always all about looks, all right. I mean you've said
- 56:50Speaker 1: your piece. Let it be. Be happy for him and
- 56:54Speaker 1: and for their happy marriage, Steve, I got it. I
- 56:58Speaker 1: know where's wrong about it. Took me a minute to
- 57:02Speaker 1: balance so how many minutes I got here? I got it.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Took me a minute to balance myself, but I finally
- 57:09Speaker 1: figured out what was wrong in this letter, this fifty
- 57:11Speaker 1: five year old mother of three handsome boys. What mama
- 57:15Speaker 1: don't think they kids? Is kid? All right, let's start there.
- 57:18Speaker 1: My youngest son is getting married, but I got an
- 57:21Speaker 1: issue with his fiance, and you're guilty about it. I
- 57:24Speaker 1: don't hate to be rude, but the girl he's married
- 57:26Speaker 1: is not just that attractive at all. But the girl
- 57:31Speaker 1: he's married, it's just not that attractive all. I know,
- 57:34Speaker 1: it's none of my business, Bam. We could have stopped
- 57:39Speaker 1: the letter right there, but you kept typing. I know
- 57:42Speaker 1: it's none of my business. Yes, because he's the one
- 57:47Speaker 1: that's got to live with her. Yes, but my son
- 57:51Speaker 1: is very handsome, and I feel like he could do
- 57:53Speaker 1: a lot better. I want you to count the times
- 57:56Speaker 1: in this letter you can count the town times in
- 58:00Speaker 1: this letter, and I'll help you out about how pretty
- 58:03Speaker 1: her sons and all her sons is. You know, first
- 58:07Speaker 1: of all, she's the mother three handsome boy. Like I said,
- 58:10Speaker 1: what Mama, don't think the baby's in him? Now? That
- 58:12Speaker 1: ain't noneing help busy because that's the one she got
- 58:14Speaker 1: to live with. But the girl he managed just not
- 58:16Speaker 1: that attractive all. But my son is very hamseme dad,
- 58:19Speaker 1: he is again, and I feel like he could do
- 58:22Speaker 1: a lot better. Well you don't know that though. See
- 58:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what I do know. We as
- 58:28Speaker 1: men married the baddest chick we can get. Now, you
- 58:33Speaker 1: look pretty as son might not have no game, So
- 58:37Speaker 1: maybe you don't understand something, but maybe this is the
- 58:40Speaker 1: best he can do. But I got news for you.
- 58:43Speaker 1: This girl ain't that unattractive. I'm gonna tell you why
- 58:46Speaker 1: watch this hill. His fiance is a sweet girl and
- 58:51Speaker 1: she seems to really love him. Oh, I guess that
- 58:53Speaker 1: don't matter to you no more. Okay, so he can
- 58:56Speaker 1: get a little pretty thing to walk all over. Okay,
- 58:59Speaker 1: but she's just not a pretty girl. That's you again
- 59:03Speaker 1: at the engagement. Probably one of my best girlfriends you know,
- 59:05Speaker 1: birds of a feather fock to flock together. One of
- 59:08Speaker 1: my best girlfriends pulled me aside and ask me why
- 59:11Speaker 1: my future daughter in law did not put on makeup
- 59:13Speaker 1: before the party right there? Hell fuck you know good
- 59:17Speaker 1: in hell? Well, and then I had to tell my
- 59:21Speaker 1: girlfriend to look again closely because the girl did have
- 59:23Speaker 1: a makeup done by a professional makeup artist. Bam, your
- 59:28Speaker 1: your girl knew that women know when women got on makeup. Man,
- 59:33Speaker 1: come on, your girlfriend messy, just like you, the mom,
- 59:38Speaker 1: the grandmother. Yeah, oh, it ain't over with you. Though.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Then my girlfriend wasn't bass for even bringing it up nauseate.
- 59:46Speaker 1: My oldest sons have nicknamed the fiance damn because that
- 59:50Speaker 1: was our first initial pressure when they met her. You talk,
- 59:54Speaker 1: you talked about them three year glass boys you got
- 59:57Speaker 1: because see this one, I'm starting to understand them three
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: ugly as his boys. Obviously, thanks, they are a lot
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: cuter than they actually are. That's what I think is
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: going on in here. A matter of fact, lead us
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: with something. The fifty five year old lady and her
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: three sons and her husband and grandmama, all them ugly.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: First two res fun coming up at twenty three after
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: the hour, right after this subject. He's handsome, and so
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: is she. You're listening, all right, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: strawberry letters. Yeah, recap it. He's handsome, so is she is.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: See here going to problem is we got an ugly
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: ass family that's been round each other their whole life,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: and they never called each other ugly. See that's all
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: this is. Fifty five year old mother, three handsome boys.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Everybody think they baby handsome. My youngest son getting married.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: The issue with the fiance feeling guilty. Hate to be rude,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: but the girl is just not that attractive at all.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Excuse me me, and married the best chick they can get.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: So this is obviously the best chick your son could get.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I know, it ain't none of my business. That's why
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you shouldn't have wrote through the letter. But he's the
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: one that's got to live with her, Yes he is.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Have you ever thought that this girl treats him? Right?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: But my son is very handsome. You keep saying that
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: my dad always told me if somebody always got to
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: tell you something about theirselves, and probably ain't true. That
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: it's the third time you to mention them uglass balls
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and yall. It should have been there trying to make
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: the ass like they all had a handsome you had
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: them uglass kids, And now you're sitting up in there
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: trying to destroy this other girl because ain't nobody told
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you y'all ugly? Well, I'm glad you wrote in with
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: your uglass So now here we go. At the engagement,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: probably one of my best friends pulled me to the
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: side and ask me why my future daughter law did
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: not put makeup on? See, messy people hang with messy people.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: You messy, your girlfriend messy. I had to tell my
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: girlfriend to look again because you had a professional makeup
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: artists do it. My girlfriend wasn't bass fevering bringing it up. No,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: she didn't. She bought it up to be messy. Other
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: why did she keep that to herself? Why would she
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: go to her girlfriend and tell her girlfriend? Man, you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: your future daughter in law blow? You know? So let
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: me ask you something about this lady right here. Did
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you ever think that they said the same thing about

- 1:10:00Speaker 1: up next right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: this story is crazy. Can you imagine having not one son,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: not two sons, but all three of your sons in
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the NBA at one time. Toya and Shawn Holiday, their
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: three sons are currently all NBA players. Okay, they're all
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: on the rosters. Both Shawn and Toya met in college
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: and they both played for the Arizona Arizona State Sun
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Devils basketball teams. They married after college. They have four children.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Their sons are Drew Holliday. He plays for the New
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Orleans Pelicans. Pelicans. He's a point guard. Justin Holliday. You
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: know this right here? Junior. Yeah, at Memphis griddlies justin Holiday. Yeah,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: he's a small for it. Aaron Holiday plays for the pacers, right, Junior,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: he's a point guard too, He's a point guard. According
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: to TMZ Sports, when Toya and Sean Holiday were asked
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: how their kids made it all the way to the pros,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: they answered, they got themselves in there from their talent
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: and hard work. We just kind of coached them and
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: it's by God's grace. Can their church say amen on
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: that they daddy They daddy is not constantly running his
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: mouth like the ball ball. No, No, he's actually smart. Wow,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: this is crazy. That's great. It really were about the
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: fourth son, maybe maybe it's a daughter. Yeah, they have
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: four kids, three sons, one daughter. You know, you know,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you know what you know, not just like you're gonna
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: be in the comedy. You're gonna have to start and listen. No,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I just I just realized had a Tommy moment. And
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: what that come from? Junior not listening? I did, I
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: had what I had, Tommy, Jesus, I'm glad. Uh huh
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Team Tommy, Uh huh. Wow. I just said that's great though.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so what did you think about um um
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: zis Williamson yeah, drafted number drafted number one. I mean
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: he's gonna be a great player, looks like you know. Yeah,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: And he could do nothing but just thank his mom.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: He was so chucked up. He that that that that
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: kid got a good heart. Man. Uh, you know they're
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: putting a lot on these boys at eighteen. I was
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: really impressed with r. J. Barrett that got drafted by
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the Knicks. They was interviewing him and some guy from
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: France was interviewing him in French, and he was just
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: sitting there just listening to him. And then he spoke
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: fluid French right back to the guy. And then when
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: he got through, he said that was good? Wasn't it
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: so well? And then he said that was good, wasn't it?
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Because he grew up in France a little bit. He
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: spent some time in France, And wow, r J. Barrett,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that was pretty good. They got some They got some
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: really good young talent out there now. Man, that seems
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: to be really articulate, well rounded guys. But can't you
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: imagine Steve, all three of your sons playing for the NBA. No,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I really I got three sons and no, hell no,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: I can't imagine it. No, you know. Hell, no I
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: can't because I'd be getting some of my damn money back. No,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I can't imagine it. Yeah, yeah, no, And I'm a
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: little ticked off about how high halfway for the holiday
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: family working for the NBA. I just get a job here,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: three sons, not one I get. I just get an NBA. Yeah.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: But man, that that's what a blessed fan. Hey man,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: I enjoy hanging out with my sons, you know, and
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: my sons we at that point now, man, while we
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: sit out and be laughing the stuff because I'm able
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: to sit back and listen to them. Now. They used
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: to make all stupid statements and I hated it, but
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: now they actually, you know, I can hear some of
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: the stuff out said to them come through, and it's
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: it's just just been really good watching. It's something about
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: when they get older, they started to make a little
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: more just like we did. We said a lot of
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: stupid stuff that stupid. Well, yeah, I point there. We
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: didn't have social media, so yeah, we had to have
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: certain skills. You're right about that, all right? Coming up
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this, You're listening to the show.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Here are the top five reasons people are interested in
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: using cannabis. All right, top five mornmer states are legalizing marijuana.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: We know that. According to a new Gallop Pole, the
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: number one reason that people want marijuana legalized has nothing
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: to do with getting high. You would think that's why
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: they want it legalized, or so they say. The number
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: one reason is for chronic pain management. That's what they say.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: That's that's absolutely true. And then when you leave a
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: state where it is to go to a state where
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: it ain't, that just miss y'all to hell up too.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: That's number one. Let's let's let's go from the bottom up.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: You're going back to the bottom now, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: okay yeah. Number five relaxations, people like, okay, yeah, I've
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: seen that Number four. Smoke a little bit because I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: can't sleep, so I want to be able to sleep,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: So let me smoke. You know, you have some stuff
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: to make you miss two three days? Yeah, you ask out,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that's number four. Number three, like I said, treatment of
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: minor injuries, minor injuries, Yeah, yeah, number two. Now this
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: is a shock to me. Mental health improvement, Steve, what
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: they're doing. If you need if you need weed to
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: thank Hill your ass is really Yeah, I don't buy
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: that one. I'll smoke me. So I can't really say it.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: But Jay doesn't make you better mentally? What what? And
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: other people just say they want to have a good
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: time with your friends and family. All right, come on,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show at thirty three after the hour coming
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: up right after this. You're listening to the Steven Show. Well,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you know, there were so many events happening all over
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: LA this weekend for the b ET Awards. We gotta
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: give it up to Mary j though. Her performances last night,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Oh believable, Mary Ji. She took it to another level
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: last Did she really did Old school Man with the

- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah she's yeah, Yes, Fantasia had on some high,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: thigh high black boots. Okay, and what is it about
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: those thigh high boots that you men love? Just in
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: mega man empty pockets thought. The first thing we see
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: is that, yeah, some boots like that? Yes she you
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: you know, looking at the whole leg is a beautiful thing.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: But when you start in, the first thing you see
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: it is tha huh. Yeah, it's no way to go
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: from there. But oh yes, and we can't forget that
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: little cam came out on stage with Mary Jake. She
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: had on thigh high It was extravaganza. I want to
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: remind you that j Anthony Brown has had on that.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: You know what. I when I was with some more More. Yeah,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: when I'm working with some more, right, some more them,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: this did that. Whatever she wore, I would come out
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: because I was in seeing I would come out with
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: the same outfit right after her. And then my opening
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: thing was girl, you knew I was gonna with it.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: Why the hell would you put on the same damn
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: thing that I got on? Man, I was there Jay,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: that was crazy. He came out with the short bitty
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: cutters and all white and white hyper I think for
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: bringing that up, Steve. Thanks, I forgot all about that.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I was at that show on the floor. Hey, I've
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: dressed like the FTD man in the studio, So it
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: is no end to what I won't do many fat
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: panther all of it. Yeah, you've done a lot. Yeah,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I was with you back in the day when it
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: show did when you was Jay took a picture as mercury. Yes,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: he had on some silver shoes with some wings on him.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and a little wing helmet around his head.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: But ass naked in position her position, Ass naked with
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: some silver shoes with wings on the little wings on
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: his head. Uh huh, the CoFe position. Wow. One thing
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: you always say, go for the funny, and that's what
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: I do. I go for the funny. All right, coming up,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and some closing remarks
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: you don't want to miss from the one and only
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey right after this at forty nine after the hour.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: You're listening. All right, Steve, here we are, last break
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: of the day. It's been a good Monday. Uh. Carl
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: and Tommy off today. They'll be back tomorrow. But before
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: we get out of here, Steve, please leave us with
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: some closing remarks. You know, I don't know who this
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: is gonna affect. I guess I'm just saying it because
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I just I just feel it to say. Uh. I've
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: just I've been thinking a lot about social media because
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: it's so big in our society today. I remember news
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: stations like Fox and CNN and h HLN and MSNBC
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: reported just the news and that was it. Well, blogging
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: became so big and they got eyeballs on their stations
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: that they started. All of them have blogs now where
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you can give your opinion. It is an amazing thing
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: in this world today. How so many opinions, so many
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: people to take this opportunity to have a free voice
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: on the Internet and on all social media platforms, and
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: they take it to spread discord and evil and just
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: maliciousness towards one another. That's that's really alarming to me. Man.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: One of the things, you know, when O. J. Simpson
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: started his tweet tweeter feed the other day and a
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: guy says something. He says wild, you have no idea
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: how this social media sugar honey iced tea works. Buckle up,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: and he meant it, and the backlash towards OJ came
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: not you know, deservedly. I mean what he said was
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: not the smartest thing I get. But then going in
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: the hotel room with four other fifty year old dudes
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: to steal back of Heisman trophy, come on, man, some paraphernalia.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I mean, this guy's not famous for bright decisions. So
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: it just it brought into focus and it's started me
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: to thinking about this whole social media thing and it's
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: just such a waste for some people. Now here's the
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: good part of it. If you want to promote something,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: if you want to send out positive energy, you know,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: if you want to if you want to share some
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: funny moments or or some heartfelt moments. Man, I think
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: that's a cool thing because there are moments on social
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: media where you go, oh, wild, that's really really cool.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: Oh my, oh wild man, that's a cool moment. But
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I don't care what you post. Somebody got something negative
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: to say about it. Somebody got something evil to say
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: about No matter what it is you post, it's it's
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: an amazing thing to me. If you are in the
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: negative blogs, can I just share something with you for
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: a moment. Whether you believe this or not, whether you're
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: aware of this, not of this or not, or whether
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: you accept this or not, it does not make one
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I'm about to tell you not. The truth. The law
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: of attraction is at work. It's at work. The principles
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: of success is at work. You reap what you sow,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: what you put out is exactly what you get back.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: That's how this works, man. It does not work any
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: other way. If you spread discord, you're gonna get discord.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: If if you spread love, you're gonna get love. If
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you spread animosity and hatred, then you got to expect
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: animosity and hatred to come your way. And then when
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: it comes your way, you take this as all okay, now,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: y'all on me, now watch me fire this back, and
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: you wind up in a vicious circle. And the time
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: you could have been attributing to making yourself go forward,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: moving yourself forward, accomplishing your dreams, setting your goals. Man,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: you could have been doing that. Dude, you know how
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: hard it is to be successful. You really know the
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: effort that it takes to be successful. I'm gonna tell
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you something. It takes chest about all you got in
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: then something. And when you think you've given enough to
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: be successful, I got news for you, it's gonna require
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: some more. So the time you're spending that you think
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: is harmless fun, we're just tagging or we're gonna just
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: start this healer movement right here, it's a waste of time. Man.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: I wish people would use it for the right things.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I look like I said, well, let's start it is
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I already know. I don't know who go here is.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: I don't know who I expect this to affect. But
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: if you're out there, man, and you're listening, and you're
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: participating in the social media in a negative way, man,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: do yourself a favor, because I got news for you. Man,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: You're really not hurt another person because it's the stuff
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: that you put out. It's the stuff that you must
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: expect to return, and you're gonna get it back. Now.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: You gonna get it back. It may not be on
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: social media, it may be in another form of your life,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: but you go get it back. And that's that's the
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: other thing that people do on social media. They think
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: when they say something about you, that they that they
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: can assess your situation. Like if they hear some negative
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: news about you, then they attributed to something you did
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: when they have no idea about that. And now you
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you sit up here fighting that battle too. Man. Get
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: out of the social media wars. Get into life development business.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Get into life changing business, getting to move your life
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: forward business. Get into working on your dreams come true business.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: That's the business we should be in with social media. Man,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: don't don't get caught up in that, y'all. It's just
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: a waste of time. Man. It's negativity and you got
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: to you got you got to read all that that
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: you sold. Man. It just takes so long to get out.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: The whole life is already difficult, man. Why making any
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: more difficult than it's got to be? Okay, Like I said,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: I don't know who does for probably nobody, but I
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: just said it. Anybody, Wow, drop it back? Yea? All right, hey,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: have a great weekend. Thank you, sir. I know I
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: will as soon as you get here. For all Steve
