- 0:15Speaker 5: A million bus busy.

- 1:06Speaker 7: You turn.
- 1:24Speaker 4: You gotta turn.
- 1:29Speaker 5: You got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 4: You probably got to turn mouth turn, mount the money. Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you'll think that.
- 2:01Speaker 8: Uh huh, I sure will come on to everybody. You'll
- 2:05Speaker 8: listen to the voice. Come on, dig me now, one
- 2:10Speaker 8: and only. Steve Harvey got a radio self. Steve Harvey
- 2:16Speaker 8: got a radio show. Sometimes when a chuckle like that
- 2:20Speaker 8: reminds me and my oldest brother that passed away. He
- 2:22Speaker 8: used to laugh like that. It's kind of funny how
- 2:24Speaker 8: jeans get passed down through the line. I don't know
- 2:27Speaker 8: why I told you all that, just to want to
- 2:28Speaker 8: share with you, that's all. As always always kind of
- 2:32Speaker 8: asked God to help me, you know. And and and
- 2:36Speaker 8: I had I had gotten off track a little bit
- 2:39Speaker 8: because one of the principles of success I want to
- 2:43Speaker 8: share with you all today is a law of attraction.
- 2:47Speaker 8: And that is a very very serious principle. It cannot
- 2:51Speaker 8: be ignored the law of attraction. And I'm not going
- 2:56Speaker 8: to be able to explain it to you as well
- 2:59Speaker 8: as the book Secrets can, or as well as some people.
- 3:03Speaker 8: I can only articulate it to you the way that
- 3:07Speaker 8: I see it, And the law of attraction is very,
- 3:10Speaker 8: very real. The law of attraction is a principle of success.
- 3:16Speaker 8: It is something that everyone has to adhere to. Now,
- 3:20Speaker 8: whether you know the law of attraction or not, it
- 3:24Speaker 8: does not make it not exist for you. This is
- 3:29Speaker 8: the case where ignorance is not the excuse. The fact
- 3:34Speaker 8: that no one told it to you. There is no
- 3:37Speaker 8: pass for this one.
- 3:39Speaker 2: The fact that you never heard it before it does
- 3:43Speaker 2: not allow you.
- 3:44Speaker 8: To do it any other way. So let me see
- 3:47Speaker 8: if I can put it to you best I can.
- 3:50Speaker 8: The law of attraction, the law of attraction, to put
- 3:54Speaker 8: it real, simply, is the thing that you focus on,
- 4:00Speaker 8: you talk about, the thing that you think of, is
- 4:04Speaker 8: the thing that you draw to you.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It's what you attract to you. That's basically the law
- 4:10Speaker 2: of attraction. The thing that you talk.
- 4:13Speaker 8: About, the thing that you think about, the thing that
- 4:17Speaker 8: you focus on, whatever it is that is what you attract.
- 4:24Speaker 8: The law of attraction does not differentiate from positive and negative.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It only does what it does. What I am saying
- 4:36Speaker 2: is this in the law of attraction.
- 4:40Speaker 8: No matter what you think of, no matter what occupies
- 4:45Speaker 8: your time, no matter what you say, or no matter
- 4:48Speaker 8: what the focus is, positive or negative, the law of
- 4:52Speaker 8: attraction knows neither one. It just attracts it. So let's
- 4:57Speaker 8: use some examples here. I can just the best example
- 5:01Speaker 8: always uses me.
- 5:03Speaker 2: That way.
- 5:03Speaker 8: I ain't got to figure out nothing. I can just
- 5:05Speaker 8: tell you my side of it. I was in a
- 5:08Speaker 8: lot of debt one time in my life. This is
- 5:12Speaker 8: before any of you knew me, so you can understand.
- 5:16Speaker 2: In case you're not.
- 5:19Speaker 8: Thinking, I don't want you to think that this conversation
- 5:22Speaker 8: is about your income level, because it's not. It doesn't
- 5:25Speaker 8: matter what income level you are. The law of attraction
- 5:28Speaker 8: works in all aspects money, family, relationships, job, career, love.
- 5:34Speaker 8: It just works that way. Okay, here's the deal. I
- 5:37Speaker 8: kept saying, Man, this debt is killing me. I got
- 5:42Speaker 8: to get out. That's what I thought was a good goal,
- 5:46Speaker 8: to get out of debt. But what I kept saying was,
- 5:50Speaker 8: you know, I kept talking about debt, and you know.
- 5:54Speaker 2: What it kept doing. It kept attracting debt to me.
- 5:58Speaker 2: So guess what. So I could get out. That's all.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Is that crazy?
- 6:05Speaker 8: That is an amazing law to understand. What turned it
- 6:09Speaker 8: around for me was I started claiming a life of abundance. God,
- 6:18Speaker 8: I am seeking a life of abundance. I want to
- 6:21Speaker 8: have more than enough. I want to be.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Able to help other people.
- 6:27Speaker 8: I just want to have a law of attraction so
- 6:29Speaker 8: that I be able to provide my family and lifestyle
- 6:32Speaker 8: that I want to provide them. I want, Heavenly Father
- 6:35Speaker 8: to be able to be an example of your goodness
- 6:39Speaker 8: and your grace in my life. That is what I
- 6:43Speaker 8: started saying. And guess what, that's what I started attracting.
- 6:48Speaker 8: I'm going to have a great relationship with my children.
- 6:51Speaker 8: I'm going to be the father that I always wanted
- 6:55Speaker 8: to be. I'm going to be a good father. I'm
- 6:58Speaker 8: going to be a good husband.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:01Speaker 8: I am going to do the right things. I am
- 7:04Speaker 8: going to be the type of example that my sons
- 7:07Speaker 8: can look no further and go. I can be like
- 7:10Speaker 8: my dad. I want to be able to be a place,
- 7:13Speaker 8: a beacon of light and hope for my daughters to
- 7:15Speaker 8: come through. That's what I started saying. That's what I
- 7:19Speaker 8: started attracting to my life. The law of attraction does
- 7:24Speaker 8: not care if you want it to be positive or negative.
- 7:29Speaker 8: The law of attraction just attracts whatever it is you
- 7:33Speaker 8: focus on, what you think about, the words that come
- 7:37Speaker 8: out your mouth. You cannot overlook this principle of success
- 7:42Speaker 8: and expect to make it because of the fact that
- 7:45Speaker 8: you've never heard of the law of attraction, because of
- 7:48Speaker 8: the fact that you don't know how it really operates.
- 7:51Speaker 8: It does not make it not exist in your day.
- 7:56Speaker 8: You can start today attracting the right thing to your
- 8:00Speaker 8: life by changing what you say, what you think, what
- 8:08Speaker 8: you focus on, change the focus, change the thought, change
- 8:15Speaker 8: the words that come out your mouth, and guess what
- 8:19Speaker 8: you change what you attract to yourself. You have got
- 8:23Speaker 8: to ask yourself why is it?
- 8:25Speaker 2: Ma'am. Man, Let me tell you something. Somebody said the
- 8:28Speaker 2: Bishop Jakes. One time. They said, man, everything you touch
- 8:32Speaker 2: turns to gold. He said, no, I just don't touch everything. Man,
- 8:39Speaker 2: This is crazy. Come on, man, he has a focus.
- 8:44Speaker 2: He has a focus.
- 8:46Speaker 8: See, he ain't just everywhere. Bring me any idea, let
- 8:50Speaker 8: me try that. No, no, no, man, he has a focus.
- 8:53Speaker 8: He has a law of attraction that's working where he's attracting.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Things to his life. That that's positive that he can.
- 9:02Speaker 8: That's not to say Bishop Jakes don't have problems, because
- 9:04Speaker 8: we talk often and man, he have them. Oh please understand.
- 9:08Speaker 8: And he not trying to attract the problems. But what
- 9:11Speaker 8: he will attract is the proper solution for the problem.
- 9:16Speaker 8: And ain't that all you need? Sometimes? God did not
- 9:20Speaker 8: say that it would be easy. He just said he
- 9:23Speaker 8: would be with you. And if God is with you,
- 9:26Speaker 8: who can be against you? God will make your enemies
- 9:30Speaker 8: your footstool. God is powerful man, His word is true.
- 9:33Speaker 8: He do what he say he gonna do. Now, all
- 9:36Speaker 8: we got to do is do some of what we say,
- 9:38Speaker 8: or we ain't gonna do everything, just do some of
- 9:41Speaker 8: what we say. Okay, here's the deal. God is going
- 9:44Speaker 8: to do everything he say he gonna do. You and
- 9:47Speaker 8: I just got to do some of the stuff we
- 9:50Speaker 8: say we're gonna do it because He already know we
- 9:51Speaker 8: ain't gonna do all of them.
- 9:52Speaker 2: He clear on that, He clear on that.
- 9:56Speaker 1: All right, thank you, you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 9:59Speaker 1: morning sh.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your undivided attention as
- 10:09Speaker 8: I always ask each and every morning, and it's just
- 10:12Speaker 8: so a moment that I want everybody to honor the
- 10:16Speaker 8: fact that.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You are alive today.
- 10:18Speaker 8: And the reason that we all exist is because of
- 10:21Speaker 8: one thing, grace and favor. God's grace, favor and mercy
- 10:27Speaker 8: has allowed us to see another day because I think
- 10:29Speaker 8: all of us know some people that we cared deeply
- 10:32Speaker 8: for who are not amongst the land of the living.
- 10:36Speaker 8: And for that, I'm grateful to still be here. And
- 10:40Speaker 8: I'm grateful for everything he's done for me taught me.
- 10:43Speaker 9: Now.
- 10:43Speaker 8: The things that he's taught you had to come in
- 10:46Speaker 8: the form of a lesson, and he's lesson sometimes Now
- 10:50Speaker 8: they're a little painful, they're a little stressful, and their
- 10:54Speaker 8: a whole lot of challenging, but they are the lessons
- 10:57Speaker 8: and we got to learn them to move through this
- 10:59Speaker 8: thing called life.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I thank you for all of that.
- 11:02Speaker 8: It's Steve Arvre Martin Show, Shelton Straupberry calling for real
- 11:04Speaker 8: Mississippi Monica and the legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior's
- 11:08Speaker 8: out today. Here's one of my I don't know how
- 11:12Speaker 8: this is gonna go. Normally, I would say, Junior, what's
- 11:18Speaker 8: on your mind today? But due to his absence, I'm
- 11:22Speaker 8: forced to ask someone else what's on they minded?
- 11:27Speaker 2: Temmy, what's on your mind today?
- 11:29Speaker 9: Man?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Ain't nothing on mine?
- 11:30Speaker 9: Man?
- 11:30Speaker 2: What's on your man?
- 11:32Speaker 10: Cool?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Let's go, Hey, good, welcome to the show. Everybody.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Whoo the blank mind?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Dodge that bullet?
- 11:39Speaker 10: Late, I got one for you. I got one for you.
- 11:43Speaker 10: What are you avoiding in twenty twenty six? Are you
- 11:47Speaker 10: avoiding anything in twenty twenty six?
- 11:49Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm avoiding all peace disruptors. If you are a
- 11:55Speaker 8: person calling me, texting me, and it's any form of
- 12:01Speaker 8: disrupting my piece, you get none of that.
- 12:05Speaker 7: Now.
- 12:06Speaker 8: If it's my wife who has a situation or my
- 12:08Speaker 8: children who have a situation, I will address that. But
- 12:13Speaker 8: if you've been a person who has a track record
- 12:17Speaker 8: of peaceful disruptions.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You will not be allowed to do that in twenty
- 12:23Speaker 2: twenty six.
- 12:26Speaker 10: I like it, okay, So help me out because I'm
- 12:31Speaker 10: tired of being I'm tired of being a go to
- 12:35Speaker 10: person for people that I can't go to.
- 12:40Speaker 2: See that that one, right there's going to require a
- 12:44Speaker 2: move on your part.
- 12:46Speaker 9: Now.
- 12:46Speaker 8: You remember when I had that, when I was telling
- 12:48Speaker 8: people go through your contacts and rate people with an asterisk,
- 12:54Speaker 8: A check mark and a black dot. You if a
- 12:59Speaker 8: person in your life life and every time you talk
- 13:02Speaker 8: to them that there's some bad news, put a black
- 13:05Speaker 8: dot next to their name. If somebody you talk to
- 13:08Speaker 8: is fifty to fifty, sometimes it's cool, sometimes it's not.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Put an asterisk next to their name.
- 13:13Speaker 8: If somebody you pick up the phone and they always
- 13:15Speaker 8: got good news, they're praying for you, they pulling for you.
- 13:17Speaker 2: They just call the check on you. Put a check
- 13:19Speaker 2: by their name.
- 13:21Speaker 8: Once you go through that contact list, just everybody's got
- 13:24Speaker 8: a black dot, block them. Get them out your contact list.
- 13:27Speaker 8: Everybody with an asterisk, block them. Get them out your
- 13:30Speaker 8: contact list. Don't have nothing in your contact list but
- 13:32Speaker 8: check mark. Let's go show, all right, coming on, Yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 8: you're gonna.

- 21:09Speaker 11: of the hour. In entertainment news, our forever First Lady
- 21:12Speaker 11: Michelle Obama does not want her husband, Barack Obama to
- 21:16Speaker 11: run for a third term. Don Lemon says Nicki Minaj
- 21:20Speaker 11: should get a life, and Super Bowl sixty commercial inventory, yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 11: is sold out. We'll talk about all of these stories
- 21:28Speaker 11: at the top of the hour, but right now it

- 21:58Speaker 8: paying rent, you got to make some type of contribution.

- 23:25Speaker 8: old gee.
- 23:26Speaker 2: They don't do that no more, uncle, that's the problem.

- 25:07Speaker 10: Man.
- 25:08Speaker 8: Even to have to explain that to a guy, I
- 25:12Speaker 8: think that's okay. Now I'm wrong for that.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Hey, does that apply what the young guy said to
- 25:18Speaker 1: you in the first one, that's old school. Steve does that?

- 25:47Speaker 11: and I told my girlfriend that my neighbor is so thoughtful.
- 25:50Speaker 11: The lady is at least twenty five older than I am.
- 25:52Speaker 11: But my girlfriend still got mad. She hates me talking

- 25:59Speaker 1: Is this normal?
- 26:00Speaker 9: Mom?

- 26:12Speaker 2: What see?
- 26:13Speaker 8: Bruh, It ain't your girlfriends fault on this one. You
- 26:18Speaker 8: got to stop telling everything.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Shut your mouth.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Why'd you tell it that she was so thoughtful?
- 26:28Speaker 2: Yeah? Why why she had that?
- 26:31Speaker 1: Is that a bad thing to share as your friend
- 26:37Speaker 1: about another one?
- 26:38Speaker 5: So bumble?
- 26:40Speaker 2: She's so thoughtful? She asked, well, why she thinking of you?
- 26:44Speaker 9: Right?

- 41:10Speaker 3: My kids show me how much they appreciate me. But
- 41:13Speaker 3: also can you mentioned the grandfathers. I have twenty eight
- 41:17Speaker 3: grandkids and they also show me how much they appreciate me,
- 41:21Speaker 3: and some of them show me how much they don't
- 41:23Speaker 3: appreciate me.
- 41:24Speaker 1: So every now and then, just mentioned the grandfather's.
- 41:27Speaker 10: Too, someone don't appreciate and he got twenty eight of them.
- 41:31Speaker 10: They just you gotta talk to That's a lot of people.
- 41:34Speaker 8: Don't Your grandfather is to be a grandfather, you had
- 41:39Speaker 8: to be a father. So when I mentioned fathers, that
- 41:43Speaker 8: covers everybody. You can't be a grandfather, legend your father.
- 41:49Speaker 11: He wants you to a hey, grandfather, not but he
- 41:54Speaker 11: wants you to your grandfather taught me your grandfather.

- 42:10Speaker 9: Way?
- 42:10Speaker 1: We'll address Steves because I got.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It all right? That tawmy Why ain't he understanding that?
- 42:19Speaker 1: But he wants you to say the word, grandfather.
- 42:22Speaker 2: That's go to another caller. He'd have made me mad.
- 42:25Speaker 9: Now.
- 42:26Speaker 11: But why we're trying to figure out why here's a
- 42:28Speaker 11: call mad every week?
- 42:32Speaker 1: Here's a caller that would like to get some advice
- 42:34Speaker 1: about a divorce.
- 42:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I was just calling because I know, I know
- 42:39Speaker 9: my wife's trying to get a divorce and uh, her
- 42:42Speaker 9: mind chicked out.
- 42:43Speaker 2: But like I'm trying to work on my marriage.
- 42:46Speaker 9: We have took it together, but I don't know whether
- 42:49Speaker 9: to continue or give up. But you know what if
- 42:52Speaker 9: I was studying trying to be a good Christian and.
- 42:55Speaker 3: You know I'm present on and I know everything I
- 42:58Speaker 3: do doesn't phaser, but sometimes you give me mixed signals.
- 43:01Speaker 9: But you know I got to continue. Come here what
- 43:04Speaker 9: you think I mean?
- 43:07Speaker 10: Brother?
- 43:07Speaker 8: Look, I applaud you for trying to better yourself, become
- 43:10Speaker 8: a good Christian and all like that being a good Christian.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Hang on, you know when it's time to go. It's
- 43:16Speaker 8: time to go. If she has checked out and she
- 43:21Speaker 8: don't want to be married to you and you, it
- 43:27Speaker 8: can't be one person working on the marriage. That that's
- 43:31Speaker 8: that's the two part deal. The whole time. It cannot
- 43:34Speaker 8: be one person working on the marriage. So listen, bro,
- 43:40Speaker 8: I don't let I stayed in one a little bit
- 43:47Speaker 8: too long when they they filed on me several times,
- 43:50Speaker 8: and I fought it and faulted trying to make it
- 43:52Speaker 8: work to find I just gave in and Judge told
- 43:56Speaker 8: I'll just tell you what I heard her say. Don't
- 43:58Speaker 8: let a man have to tell you twice he don't
- 44:00Speaker 8: don't want you. Don't let a woman have to tell
- 44:02Speaker 8: you twice she don't want you. Now, don't keep raising
- 44:06Speaker 8: your finger.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Go ahead. What did he do though, because he ain't
- 44:09Speaker 2: been going to Bible stad What do he do because
- 44:11Speaker 2: he didn't? Yeah, he has so many.
- 44:17Speaker 8: You know he did Heck's messages and pictures. In his fault,
- 44:23Speaker 8: he was forced to go to Bible study.
- 44:25Speaker 2: That's what he really ain't your answer, Bible study. You
- 44:31Speaker 2: don't really.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Trying to get right with the Lord when you went
- 44:36Speaker 1: there on Wednesday.
- 44:39Speaker 8: And we don't really messed up when it's down the
- 44:42Speaker 8: Bible study, nor mar He ain't saying nothing about marriage
- 44:48Speaker 8: counseling or nothing.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Church on the week night we committed myself. Lord, you
- 44:59Speaker 2: in their stand next to Deacon ed was on Wednesday. Yeah,
- 45:02Speaker 2: you messed up.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Wow, you went to church on a weeknight.
- 45:11Speaker 11: All right, thank you for your phone calls. Coming up next,
- 45:15Speaker 11: it is the nephew and the prank phone call. Right
- 45:17Speaker 11: after this, Hey, this is Mary J.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Blige.
- 45:20Speaker 1: What's up you hoes is let us see it is
- 45:22Speaker 1: Kevin Hard Hold tight. The nephew has another prank call
- 45:25Speaker 1: coming up next.
- 45:26Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvedy Morning Show. Coming up
- 45:34Speaker 11: at the top of the hour. Right about four minutes after,
- 45:37Speaker 11: it's my strawberry letter for today. And get this title.
- 45:40Speaker 11: The subject is my mom is for the streets, my mom,
- 45:45Speaker 11: your mama.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Life.
- 45:50Speaker 9: What is going on?
- 45:51Speaker 11: We'll find out in just a few because right now
- 45:56Speaker 11: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 45:58Speaker 1: What you got for his nest?
- 46:00Speaker 10: Well, Shirley, you know there's a lot going on right
- 46:02Speaker 10: now with pastors and you know, yeah, Drew Ski came
- 46:06Speaker 10: out and did his thing. You know, they're going through
- 46:09Speaker 10: a lot. So right now it's not the time. You know,
- 46:12Speaker 10: this is the time right now to show some sympathy,
- 46:16Speaker 10: you know, to to to be respectful right now. You
- 46:19Speaker 10: know it's a time for that to be respectful. So
- 46:22Speaker 10: I thought I would just go in my archives and
- 46:25Speaker 10: just gone and ask how much in the collection plate?
- 46:28Speaker 2: Pastor? How much?
- 46:31Speaker 8: What?
- 46:32Speaker 2: Too far? How much in the collection plate? Pastor? That's
- 46:39Speaker 2: all I'm as, That's all I'm ask.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Does he owe you?
- 46:43Speaker 11: No?
- 46:44Speaker 9: You know what?
- 46:44Speaker 10: I think all churches need to have an open book.
- 46:47Speaker 10: We ought to be able to see what what what?
- 46:48Speaker 10: What the numbers are, what we're doing. How's the church looking?
- 46:51Speaker 10: What's wrong with that?
- 46:53Speaker 1: How are you asking the pastor this question?
- 46:56Speaker 9: Say what?
- 47:00Speaker 2: How much in the collection plate? Past cat dog?
- 47:04Speaker 10: If you would hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Pastor Hayes.
- 47:10Speaker 10: Pastor Hayes, how you doing?
- 47:11Speaker 2: This is? This is brother line of Thompson. How you doing?
- 47:14Speaker 9: I'm good brother, and how can I help you today?
- 47:16Speaker 10: Past I'm actually one of your members at the church,
- 47:20Speaker 10: and I want to just command you that you're doing
- 47:22Speaker 10: a good job the way you are displaying safety.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Let me say that first and foremost.
- 47:28Speaker 9: Okay, cool, thank you, You know, we just want everybody
- 47:30Speaker 9: to be safe and healthy.
- 47:32Speaker 1: And your name again the brother line of Thompson.
- 47:35Speaker 9: Okay, and and and the other times I'm kind about
- 47:38Speaker 9: to be in the middle of dinner. How can they
- 47:39Speaker 9: help you? Brother?
- 47:40Speaker 10: Well, here's what I wanted to ask you, man, uh pass,
- 47:44Speaker 10: I want to ask you this. I know you know
- 47:46Speaker 10: a lot of people are going through different things and
- 47:48Speaker 10: and uh people are you know, trying to make sure
- 47:51Speaker 10: they keep food and stuff in the house because you know,
- 47:54Speaker 10: time like this, you know you kind of want to
- 47:56Speaker 10: stay put, and but you want to make sure you
- 47:58Speaker 10: got enough food and water and things like that. So
- 48:00Speaker 10: but but but what I wanted my reason for calling
- 48:02Speaker 10: you is I wanted to ask you how how much
- 48:06Speaker 10: money do we have in the account?
- 48:09Speaker 2: Come again, the church account? How much money do we
- 48:12Speaker 2: have in there?
- 48:13Speaker 9: Brother? What what do you say? Your name was? Again? Brother?
- 48:16Speaker 2: My name is Brotherlanel Thompson.
- 48:18Speaker 9: Okay, Brother Thompson. How did you get my personal cell
- 48:21Speaker 9: phone number to be calling me at home the time
- 48:23Speaker 9: of day?
- 48:24Speaker 2: Well? I got this numb from one of the brothers
- 48:25Speaker 2: at the church.
- 48:26Speaker 9: What what? Brother? The church is they know not to
- 48:29Speaker 9: give my personal number off to to people I don't know?
- 48:32Speaker 9: Are you?
- 48:32Speaker 2: Well, I'm a I'm a but I'm a but I'm
- 48:35Speaker 2: a member though I'm a member.
- 48:37Speaker 9: Well, how long you've been a member? Because I've been
- 48:38Speaker 9: pasting this church for ten years and your name ain't
- 48:41Speaker 9: familiar to me? How long? How long you been a
- 48:43Speaker 9: member of my church.
- 48:44Speaker 10: I've been a member of probably going on going on
- 48:48Speaker 10: three years now, but I ain't.
- 48:49Speaker 2: I ain't been in since, you.
- 48:51Speaker 10: Know, since that day I joined. You know, you know,
- 48:53Speaker 10: I kind of got caught out there, you know how
- 48:55Speaker 10: I go.
- 48:56Speaker 9: But uh yeah, wait, wait, wait, wait wait wait. So
- 48:59Speaker 9: you you been a member my church two or three years.
- 49:01Speaker 9: You ain't been to the church in two to three years?
- 49:03Speaker 9: Are you calling me to ask me about finances of
- 49:06Speaker 9: my church? Well, I'm gonna stand what you're looking for.
- 49:09Speaker 10: Well, I am a member, So I mean I do
- 49:12Speaker 10: have to don't I have the right to know what
- 49:14Speaker 10: we got in there? What we got in the account?
- 49:16Speaker 9: Actually you don't. You don't have to write to that question.
- 49:19Speaker 9: If you don't actively come to the church, you can't
- 49:21Speaker 9: come to the church, sign up for church, and then
- 49:23Speaker 9: call me three years later asking me what we got
- 49:26Speaker 9: going on at church. So I need to understand what
- 49:29Speaker 9: is your purpose?
- 49:30Speaker 10: What do you Well, like I say, everybody going through
- 49:32Speaker 10: hard times, I'm trying to see what we got in there,
- 49:36Speaker 10: because you know, I need to pick up a few
- 49:38Speaker 10: things from the stove. I don't have the money right now.
- 49:41Speaker 10: But shouldn't I be able to lean.
- 49:43Speaker 9: On my church though, you can lean on that. We've
- 49:46Speaker 9: done a lot of stuff in the community. We've been
- 49:48Speaker 9: seeing the elderly. We got a full bank. We've been
- 49:51Speaker 9: cash after people some money that when we can. But
- 49:54Speaker 9: you ain't been at this church in three years. You
- 49:56Speaker 9: can't call me after three years and think I'm about
- 49:58Speaker 9: to give you some money for some I don't even
- 50:00Speaker 9: know if you're a real member.
- 50:01Speaker 10: I am a real man. I'm a real member. So
- 50:04Speaker 10: hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, pastor.
- 50:06Speaker 9: Hold on, no, no, no, hold on, no, no, no,
- 50:09Speaker 9: you hold on? What boy? Look here, I'm trying to
- 50:12Speaker 9: sit down have dinner with my family. You sitting here
- 50:14Speaker 9: on my last night, and look here, brother Thompson, I
- 50:17Speaker 9: don't know you. I ain't never heard of you. You
- 50:20Speaker 9: am not about to call here and try to get
- 50:22Speaker 9: some money out of me. You ain't even a member
- 50:24Speaker 9: of the church. I am a member of the church
- 50:28Speaker 9: because you come to the church one time, you ain't
- 50:30Speaker 9: been back in three years, and you come to me
- 50:32Speaker 9: for some money. I am a member gave your mama.
- 50:35Speaker 9: You are not a member of this church, sir.
- 50:38Speaker 2: I am a member of the church. Look, look, look,
- 50:40Speaker 2: let me tell you something.
- 50:42Speaker 9: I know this as them tell you where you can't
- 50:45Speaker 9: call my church two or three years ago and called
- 50:48Speaker 9: me three years later, get my number from somebody and
- 50:51Speaker 9: ask me for money because you're going through hard time. Now,
- 50:54Speaker 9: if you was a true member of the church, you'll
- 50:56Speaker 9: understand how we work and how we give money to
- 50:58Speaker 9: people that's struggling. I just delivered forty meals today to
- 51:02Speaker 9: our elderly. Huh. Last week we cashed out people money
- 51:06Speaker 9: to go pick up grocery Paris.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Well do you need my Do you need my cash out?
- 51:10Speaker 9: Then?
- 51:11Speaker 2: Do you need my cash?
- 51:12Speaker 9: Boy? Boy, you gonna make me because you ain't even tithing.
- 51:16Speaker 9: So how you not tithen?
- 51:18Speaker 2: I told you I have fell on bad times. Then
- 51:21Speaker 2: I say I fell on bad times.
- 51:23Speaker 9: You fell on bad times for three years?
- 51:25Speaker 10: Hey, Hey, you know it takes longer for some people. Okay, fact,
- 51:29Speaker 10: why are you? Why are you judging me in opposed
- 51:31Speaker 10: to trying to figure out how to cash app me.
- 51:33Speaker 9: So I can get on a member of my church.
- 51:36Speaker 9: I don't know if you some scam artist trying to
- 51:38Speaker 9: get money from the church. Sir, I have never met you.
- 51:41Speaker 9: I don't know you. Matter of fact, I'm about to
- 51:43Speaker 9: call up the deacons to see who you are and
- 51:46Speaker 9: why they would get my number to some point to
- 51:48Speaker 9: call me and ask me for some money.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Hey, let me say this to you.
- 51:51Speaker 10: If you don't cash at me, then I'm finna let
- 51:54Speaker 10: all the members that I know you. I know our
- 51:56Speaker 10: church ain't no megachurch. You know we got three four
- 51:58Speaker 10: hundred members. Know so, but but I would let every
- 52:02Speaker 10: member know that you not cash up in me to
- 52:05Speaker 10: help me in a time of knee.
- 52:06Speaker 2: I will do that.
- 52:07Speaker 9: Hey, Wether Thompson, you you can let him know. You
- 52:10Speaker 9: can Facebook at Instagram and you can put it on
- 52:12Speaker 9: that TikTok and tag me in it. I ain't giving
- 52:15Speaker 9: you a dime. I don't know you, I ain't never
- 52:17Speaker 9: heard of you. Matter of fact, you need to get
- 52:19Speaker 9: off my phone. I got dinner with my wife boy
- 52:22Speaker 9: to go on, man, and I ain't got time to
- 52:23Speaker 9: be going back and forth with you. I need to
- 52:26Speaker 9: know who gave you my number to. I can call
- 52:29Speaker 9: them up and tell them don't be giving my number
- 52:31Speaker 9: out to some stranger who ain't been our church in
- 52:33Speaker 9: two to three years and gonna ask me for some money,
- 52:36Speaker 9: some cash out or if you don't get off this phone,
- 52:39Speaker 9: who get you that number?
- 52:40Speaker 2: Okay, so let me ask you something. So So you
- 52:42Speaker 2: know Deacon Marvin.
- 52:44Speaker 9: Dillar, I know Dickon Marvin. Yeah, what about him?
- 52:46Speaker 2: Do you know he listened to the radio every morning.
- 52:49Speaker 10: Yeah, he's listening to the Steve Harvey Marty Show. Pastor Hayes,
- 52:53Speaker 10: you just got pranked by your bart Deacon Marbin.
- 52:58Speaker 9: Boy. See, and that's why I'm about to get kicked
- 53:00Speaker 9: off the board.
- 53:03Speaker 7: Boy.
- 53:04Speaker 9: You got me all in my yard. Yeah. My neighbors
- 53:07Speaker 9: looking at me like I'm crazy. They know I'm on
- 53:10Speaker 9: the block. You almost made me cuse you can't be
- 53:13Speaker 9: doing that during this time. Man. Man, Man, I'm good, Man,
- 53:18Speaker 9: I'm good. Maybe everything good. My wife came out here, boy,
- 53:22Speaker 9: and you ain't don't want her to set it off.
- 53:26Speaker 2: You don't want the first lady to go out, Okay.
- 53:28Speaker 9: Man, but nah, we take care of our church man.
- 53:32Speaker 9: We feed them, sending the money, man, delivering mills. Man,
- 53:35Speaker 9: make sure everybody good during this time.
- 53:37Speaker 2: That's good man.
- 53:38Speaker 9: He ain't want to show with that innit nextew Timy.
- 53:47Speaker 2: And there you have it.
- 53:48Speaker 10: That would be from the nephew, thank you, Thank you.

- 55:50Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is strawberry.
- 55:53Speaker 11: Let us all right, nephew, thank you. Subject to my
- 55:56Speaker 11: mom is for the streets, all right, All right, here
- 56:01Speaker 11: we go. Let's get into it. Dear Stephen Shirley, My
- 56:03Speaker 11: husband and I are in our mid sixties and my
- 56:07Speaker 11: mother moved into the apartment below us. She's a widow,
- 56:11Speaker 11: but she's dated since my dad died four years ago.
- 56:14Speaker 11: She calls the men her gentleman friends, and two of
- 56:19Speaker 11: the guys were younger than she is, but I acted
- 56:22Speaker 11: like I didn't notice. My mom overdresses everywhere we go
- 56:26Speaker 11: because she's seeking attention. She sparks conversation with men, and
- 56:30Speaker 11: it's flirty and embarrassing because most times she can't tell
- 56:34Speaker 11: that the man doesn't want to engage in conversation with her.
- 56:37Speaker 11: She's always raised me to go after men instead of
- 56:41Speaker 11: letting the man pursue me. Now that she's older, I
- 56:45Speaker 11: feel like I'm the parent, so I try to discipline her.
- 56:48Speaker 11: When I tell her to stop coming on to men
- 56:50Speaker 11: in public, she goes off on me right then and there.
- 56:54Speaker 11: It makes people think that I'm being mean to my
- 56:57Speaker 11: elderly mom. I recently got locked out out of her
- 57:00Speaker 11: apartment because I walked in on her entertaining one of
- 57:04Speaker 11: her newer gentleman friends. It was totally innocent and they
- 57:07Speaker 11: were watching TV, but I felt like she shouldn't be
- 57:10Speaker 11: in her pajamas without a robe while a new man
- 57:14Speaker 11: was in her home. She told me to leave, and
- 57:17Speaker 11: the next day I couldn't get in. She had one
- 57:20Speaker 11: of her other gentleman friends come change her dead boat lock.
- 57:23Speaker 11: I had to call a locksmith to change it back
- 57:26Speaker 11: while she was at church. She's hell on wheels and
- 57:30Speaker 11: I'm scared for her. I don't want one of these
- 57:32Speaker 11: men to get carried away with her in the bedroom
- 57:35Speaker 11: or try to rob her something. And oh, yes, there
- 57:38Speaker 11: is sex involved. I live above her, so I can
- 57:41Speaker 11: hear everything that goes on. How do I keep my
- 57:44Speaker 11: mom safe without making her feel like I'm telling her
- 57:47Speaker 11: what to do all the time.
- 57:50Speaker 8: I'm just going to say this right off the top,
- 57:52Speaker 8: this letter is not for me. If you give it
- 57:54Speaker 8: to me, I cannot be responsible for what I'm Thank
- 57:58Speaker 8: you right now.
- 58:02Speaker 1: All right, thank you?
- 58:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 58:05Speaker 11: This is really kind of a tough letter because your
- 58:07Speaker 11: mom is just good and grown. You're in your mid sixties,
- 58:10Speaker 11: so your mom has to be what eighty maybe if.
- 58:13Speaker 1: You're in your mid sixties.
- 58:15Speaker 11: So all you can really do at this point is
- 58:17Speaker 11: protect her from afar. You just can't pop up in
- 58:21Speaker 11: her house unannounced. That's why she's mad. You're not respecting
- 58:25Speaker 11: her space or her privacy. And the fact that she's
- 58:28Speaker 11: in the apartment downstairs should make you rest a little easy,
- 58:32Speaker 11: because she wants to live her life and do what
- 58:35Speaker 11: she wants to do. Other people want their older people
- 58:39Speaker 11: I should say, want their independence. They want their independence.
- 58:42Speaker 11: They want to move how they want to move, They
- 58:44Speaker 11: want to do what they want to do. That means
- 58:48Speaker 11: they want their independence when it comes to dating, when
- 58:50Speaker 11: it comes to intimacy, whether it's cuddling with just your
- 58:54Speaker 11: pjs and no robe on.
- 58:57Speaker 1: So what's wrong with that? And they even want to
- 59:00Speaker 1: have sex.
- 59:01Speaker 11: Okay, obviously you said you can hear it. At least
- 59:04Speaker 11: your mom is close by. I do think you need
- 59:07Speaker 11: to get some camera set up the door set up
- 59:09Speaker 11: at the door, you know, since you're so worried, and
- 59:11Speaker 11: if something crazy does happen, you can look at the video,
- 59:15Speaker 11: you know, and at least see her gentleman friends coming
- 59:17Speaker 11: and going. That should put your mind at ease somewhat.
- 59:21Speaker 11: And tell your mom it's for her safety. Your mom
- 59:24Speaker 11: is is trying to live her best life right now, Steve.
- 59:29Speaker 1: All you want her to do is be safe.
- 59:31Speaker 7: See.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Well, I've tried to fix what I'm thinking and I
- 59:36Speaker 2: just kate pull it together.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Couldn't do it.
- 59:40Speaker 2: So well, y'all pray my strength here I go.
- 59:45Speaker 1: I knew it girl.
- 59:48Speaker 8: Your mama, Wow, girl, your mama, your mama trip it.
- 59:53Speaker 8: I'm just gonna tell you I ain't got I ain't
- 59:56Speaker 8: gonna have no advice for you. I'm just gonna tell
- 59:58Speaker 8: you how your mama, you got a mama, You and
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: your husband, You and your mid sixties.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I'm thinking, let's say sixty five.
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: If your mama had you at twenty, she eighty five,
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: if she had you at fifteen, she atey, WHOA, that's strong.
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: Your dad died four years ago. He was probably he's
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: probably glad to get out of them. Yeah, I'm just
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: gonna go home. Keep it real with you. Say you
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: describe your mama. Your daddy was probably glad to just
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: get on out of here.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Man, let me go on.
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: I had nothing of this right now. She calls to
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: me and her gentleman friends. See that's old right there?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Who is that? That's my genemy friend? That's old.
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: Two of the guys are younger than her. Most people
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: she meet gonna be younger than her. That ain't a
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: whole lot of people still living that's older than her.
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: So stop stop telling us stuff that we already know.
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: Some of the men is younger than her. Hell, most
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: everybody she meet gonna be young to her. What percentage
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: of people you think your mama can meet at eighty
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: five that's older than her?
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: That like one percent of the population, ain't it?
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: So?
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: Even down at the retirement home or the nursing home,
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: she gonna be the old one down there.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Okay, here we go.
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: My mom overdresses everywhere we go because she's seeking attention.
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: I think that's fly that you stay fly till you die.
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: I think you should over dress. That's what I'm gonna be.
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: I'm gonna be an old man wearing cold pimp suits, colors, ties, hats, brown,
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: god I'm wearing.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I'm rocking out of here, just like your mama.
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: She sparks conversations with men, and it's flirty and embarrassing
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: because most times she can't tell that the man don't
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: want to engage conversation. I've had that experience before, because
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: you know, I'm a year away from being seventy.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: So it's like old women think, because I'm that age,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: that's what I want. That's not. That's not.
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: I've had an eighty year old women come to me
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: maybe we're going on, Hey, mama, why you call me that?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: We round the same age.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Wow thing on, Steve.
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:11Speaker 11: twenty three minutes after today's Strawberry letter subject my mom
- 1:02:15Speaker 11: is for the streets. We'll get back into it right
- 1:02:18Speaker 11: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: Hey, is Carla Ferroll kick that old mop and bucket aside?
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean in
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: half the time? Make the swap to Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: The on in one cleaning Hero has a built in
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: solution that breaks down dirt and grind like magic. With
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: hundreds of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: messes with ease. Plus, it'll leave your home smelling great
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: for hours after cleaning. Get yours today and mop smarter
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:02:56Speaker 11: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:02:59Speaker 11: The subject is my mom is for the street.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: A slash girl your mama?
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Wow?
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: This wild one right here. This woman is in her
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: mid sixties.
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: Her mama and her daddy died four years ago, so
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: now she out there dating men that she calls.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Her gentleman friends.
- 1:03:18Speaker 8: That's an old statement right there, but she's got to
- 1:03:20Speaker 8: be eighty to eighty five somewhere in now could be
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: a little bit older than that. Then you said that
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: your mom overdresses everywhere to get attention. I think that's
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: cool to be dressed up when you're old. I think
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: that's pretty slick. She has conversations with men and it's flirty,
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: and she can't tell when men are put off by her.
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: Don't want to be bothered. I've been in that position
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: because you know, I'm like really really famous with old people.
- 1:03:46Speaker 8: You know, because God gave me all my fame and
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: glory in my lady years because he knew I would
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: have erecked it. If I had this much fame and
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: wealth at thirty, I be in jail with puffy.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: God Seed.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: So he waited till I was old enough. I know,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: call it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: Okay to say anything, you know.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Just you know, I'm just telling you.
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: If I was thirty and hand this money and stuff,
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: I'd be sitting somewhere I was looking crazy. But I didn't,
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: so he gave it to me when I was older.
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: My fan base is young and old. Most women that
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: love me is too old to be loving anybody. I'm
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: just gonna be real with you. They come up to
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: me all the time, Hey baby, and I'll be gonna well,
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: your voice is leaving too, So I'm used to that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: She don't know it because she ain't been out there
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: in a while. She raised me to go after me
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: in instead of letting a man pursue me. Now that
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: she's older, I feel like I'm dependent. I try to
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: discipline her.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Didn't you just say your mama raised you to go
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: after me? She raised you to go after men. I
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: don't know no MoMA to done that to her daughter.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: So this isn't it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: Like I'm the parents. So I try to discipline her.
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: When I tell her to stop coming on to me
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: and in public, she go off on me right then
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: and there. And then it makes people think that I'm
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: being mean to my elderly mom because what see you
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: telling her to stop talking to me against what she's
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: saying back to her. Stop telling me what to do
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: all the time. You won't let me enjoy myself. And
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: that's what the people here.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Leave me alone? Why can't I enjoy my left life? See?
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: You gotta let your mama have some fun late, that's
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: what it sounded like.
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: So I recently got locked out of her apartment because
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: I walked in on her entertaining her newer gentleman friends.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: One of her newer gentlemen friends. It was totally innocent,
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: they was watching TV. But I felt like she shouldn't
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: be in her pajamas without a role while a man
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: is in her home.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Girl, what is you worrying about that?
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: Folk?
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: Have you seen eighty year old women pajama You don't
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: have to. Have you ever seen a sixy pair of
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: eighty year old women pajamas? Do you know how thick
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: they are? She probably need a robe on. The robe
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: is woven into the pajamas. That's how thick then pajamas is.
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: So I don't even know what you was worried about
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: right there, and they was watching TV. She shouldn't have
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: on a pajamas without a robe while a man is
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: in her home. She told me to lead. The next day,
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: you couldn't get in. She had one of her gentlemen
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: friends come change the dead boat lock. I done had
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: to call locksmith to change them back. And I'm scared
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: for her. I don't want one of these men to
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: get carried away with her in the bedroom or try
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: to rock.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Nowhe let's stop right here.
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: You don't want one of these old men to get
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: carried away with her in the bedroom.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Listen to me.
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: Take that off your plate of things to be concerned about.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: I'm telling you right now, it can only get so wild.
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: Wiling at eighty it's different from wilding at sixty, which
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: is different from wilding at forty, which is different from
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: wilding at twenty. What's the different high it's gonna get
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: out of hand in they eighty? Tell me that he
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: got to sit on the edge of the bed. He
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: can't get his socks off. He bent over and try
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: to take his socks off. Now he wheezed it. He'd
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: have forgot to take the viaguar. Now he got to
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: sit there and wait on the viagara to kick in.
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: He done fell asleep because it took too long. You
- 1:07:41Speaker 8: gotta take an hour before he done set the timer.
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: He don't know how to set the timer because his
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: daughter just brought him my iPhone. Now he done fell
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: asleep on your bed, yo, mama, laying over there waiting sexy.
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: When he wake up, he can't unbutton all them buttons
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: on them old pajamas that your grandma, Mama, got so.
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: Now he's sitting up in there here trying to rub
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: her to get all bothering and hot and heavy, but
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: nothing is going through, cutting through the fabric on them pajamas.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: I'm telling you how hard it is to wild at eighty.
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: It is so hard to wild at eighty. Now she
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: need help getting out of her pajamas. He didne got
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: up and bent over and trying to scoot her out
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: to pajamas. Now his back then went out. Now he
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: got the laid back down. Now he back in bed
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: and get knocked out. That's how hard it is to
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: wild at eighty.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Okay, I got it, Steve, I definitely got it.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: My mama, is I enjoyed this letter.
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: I had no help for you and your mama. And
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: the reason I can't help because I ain't ever been
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: eighty before, so I don't even know what the hell
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: going on.

- 1:10:34Speaker 8: I can't say it any more clear. This is not
- 1:10:40Speaker 8: This is not TV because Seattle is in the Northwest.
- 1:10:45Speaker 8: That's not a huge TV market. That's not a huge
- 1:10:47Speaker 8: draw for them. The Rams have too much. You know,
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: they've had LA Raiders now in Vegas, they had La Rams.
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: They just had Georgia and LA is just if it
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: ain't the Lakers. You know, the Dodgers get more if
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: it ain't. If it ain't the Lakers. Man, just LA
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: was built around that.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: So I don't care. And then the Patriots against the.
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: Bronco.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: You're going up to the far northeast, back out to Denver.
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: And here's the thing, man, none of the superstars of
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: the NFL are in the Super Bowl. I guess the
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: best one is it? Who is the quarterback for the Rams? Stafford? Yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: that's the biggest star. Josh Allen is gone, Lamar Jackson
- 1:11:38Speaker 8: is gone. A boy to Kansas City. My homes is out.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: You know, if you're looking at.
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: The stars are out the draw. Yeah, man, you know
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: what's gonna make the Super Bowl the halftime show?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Bad Bunny, Quarto Rico.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: I don't, I don't. I don't know who had Buddy.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: I didn't want to say. I don't know which bunny
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: that is Bad Bunny, Bugs Bunny. They can have any
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: of that, one.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Of them, Bugs Bunny performing at half time.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Boy, Bulls Bunny was in there. Get a ticket. That
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: was my dog right now. I'd rather see bulls Bunny.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I don't know. And it's nothing against bad Bunny.
- 1:12:22Speaker 8: He's a huge international autist. Yes, he is super major.
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: I don't know, now, Son.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: I'd rather see the road Runner. Boy.
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: I really love to see Daffy though black one. I'd
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: rather see fog Hole. I'll say, Son, we.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Got on cartoons because we said bad Bunny.
- 1:12:50Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Bugs Buddy went from there. Yeah, all right, thank you guys.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I think count now.
- 1:13:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:13:02Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, a woman
- 1:13:04Speaker 11: on social media needs some advice and she says, I've
- 1:13:07Speaker 11: got a tough choice to make.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:13:11Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:13:18Speaker 11: This is from AVA on Steve Harvey fm Ava says,
- 1:13:21Speaker 11: after my long term relationship ended, I briefly dated someone
- 1:13:24Speaker 11: new who helped me get through the worst of the heartbreak.
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: It was casual at first, but we stayed in touch
- 1:13:30Speaker 11: when he moved a couple of hours away. Now he
- 1:13:33Speaker 11: wants to try a real relationship, even if it means
- 1:13:36Speaker 11: doing it long distance and maybe eventually moving. The problem
- 1:13:40Speaker 11: is that my ex has come back, saying the breakup
- 1:13:42Speaker 11: was a mistake and asking for an He's asking for
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: another chance. Getting back together would mean trying to rebuild
- 1:13:48Speaker 11: trust after being hurt, while choosing the new guy would
- 1:13:52Speaker 11: mean starting over, possibly in a new place, and leaving
- 1:13:55Speaker 11: a lot behind.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. Got any advice?
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: Yeah, sometimes to break up is the blessing. He won't
- 1:14:04Speaker 8: he you got to build back to trust, which means
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: he cheated on you. So what then happen is who
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: he cheated on you? He found out didn't have the
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: value he thought. So what he lost what he had?
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: Now he won't what he had back. This new guy
- 1:14:23Speaker 8: who got you through a difficult time moved away, and
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: now he going, Hey, I want to try this long
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: distance man that was really good. Why would you go
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: back to something that could cast you so much pain
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: and didn't bring you the value that you wanted. And
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: so because she's talking about I would have to start over. Man,
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: don't that sound but going back for what? You know what,
- 1:14:52Speaker 8: y'all you gotta remember this too. You can't get back time,
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: and that's what keeps a a lot of people in relationships.
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: I didn't been with him eight years, that would all
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: be for nothing. Okay, cool, it took you eight years
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: to learn the lesson. Now you learned it and move on.
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: It's okay man, Now he better go with you. Yeah,
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: start over? What's the matter with starting over?
- 1:15:19Speaker 9: So?
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Yes, party decision.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: She probably still already know the better man is is
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: two hours away. You already know that, you know?
- 1:15:32Speaker 11: I wish, thank you we have time for another one.
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: This is from Nate on Steve Harvey fm UH. Nate says,
- 1:15:38Speaker 11: I've been at my job for about a year now,
- 1:15:41Speaker 11: and as I've gotten faster and more comfortable with my workload.
- 1:15:44Speaker 11: What used to be fast paced and stressful, I easily
- 1:15:47Speaker 11: finish with time to spare, which makes me nervous, especially
- 1:15:50Speaker 11: since I've recently seen some coworkers get fired for low performance.
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: I was thinking of asking for more responsibility, but I'm
- 1:15:58Speaker 11: worried that I'll end up making my job too difficult.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: To manage and I'll regret it.
- 1:16:04Speaker 11: Is it smarter to ask for more work or just
- 1:16:06Speaker 11: continue being good and fast with my current workload?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, obviously you don't get paid more to work fast.
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: Now if you're on a job I used to have,
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: which was a piecemeal We used to work on a
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: piecemeal system, which meant I had to make a certain
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: amount of pieces of wire to make a certain amount
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: of money, and you qualify for bonuses if you made
- 1:16:37Speaker 8: more boxes of wire than you was required. But the
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: requirement was two hundred and thirty eight boxes a day.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: I never made that.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Why didn't you make it? Why didn't you reach your
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: goal in your quota hard?
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: I didn't understand why you.
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: Make boxes in an eight hour ship and then if
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: you make more it counts towards your bonus at the
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: end of the year.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: I don't see how I'm gonna be here for.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: A year.
- 1:17:09Speaker 9: That job.
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: Wrapping the wine box was never a goal of mine,
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: So I'm not gonna be here for the end of
- 1:17:15Speaker 8: the year for the bonus.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: So why do I care about two hundred and eighty
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: my members.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: Dudes making three and eighty boxes a day three twenty Yeah,
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: what was your list count?
- 1:17:28Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:17:28Speaker 8: I made two forty one day, really good and went home, man,
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: and couldn't even wake up the next day.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: This is not working out. How the hell they make
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: three hundred boxes?
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Man, I said, ain't gonna stop this and setting on in.
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: We'll have more of the Steve Harby Morning Show coming
- 1:17:57Speaker 11: up at twenty minutes after.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Right after this to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:06Speaker 11: Senator Ted Cruz has responded to a picture and criticism
- 1:18:10Speaker 11: of him on a flight to sunny Laguna Beach, California
- 1:18:12Speaker 11: on Tuesday, right before a winter storm is set to
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: hit Texas tomorrow. We all remember remember back in twenty
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: twenty one when Senator Cruz flew to Cancun with his
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: family during the last winter storm. That storm left millions
- 1:18:27Speaker 11: of Texans without power and over two hundred people died
- 1:18:31Speaker 11: due to the state's failed power grid. Cruise's office confirmed
- 1:18:35Speaker 11: his California trip, stating it was a pre planned work
- 1:18:38Speaker 11: trip and that he will return before the storm hits
- 1:18:43Speaker 11: the state.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: So he's on the plane, not because it's tomorrow.
- 1:18:49Speaker 8: You know, them Republicans born, they see what they want
- 1:18:53Speaker 8: to see. If you think Ted Cruise is a good
- 1:18:57Speaker 8: candidate or believe what he says, you a fool.
- 1:19:02Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:19:03Speaker 8: The reason I don't like him is because Donald Trump
- 1:19:06Speaker 8: talked about his father and his wife in front of
- 1:19:10Speaker 8: his face. Yea, he talked to He said he would
- 1:19:15Speaker 8: never support Donald Trump. Boy, he's stuck so far in
- 1:19:18Speaker 8: Donald Trump's underwear, it ain't even funny. I have no
- 1:19:23Speaker 8: respect for Ted Crews, none, him, Mark Rubio, all all
- 1:19:28Speaker 8: of them.
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: Cowards to meet all of them.
- 1:19:31Speaker 11: Yeah, Well, he says he's coming back before the storm hits,
- 1:19:34Speaker 11: so we'll see.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: This is supposedly a work trip.
- 1:19:37Speaker 9: That was.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: He gonna be after that storm and came.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Gone coming up next. Thank you guys, another round? Would
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: you rather? Right after this? You're listening to the Steve

- 1:21:17Speaker 8: If you have the career of your dreams, you will
- 1:21:21Speaker 8: be able to get the person of your dream.
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: I just told him, don't that's just how it works.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: Why y'all don't see that? Sorry? She got a mouse?
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: What's the lady, listen to me.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: If you're asking from the beginning, do you want the
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: girl of your dreams or a career your dream? I
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: have to pick the career of my dreams first.
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: I will attract and get the girl of my dream
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: now today because I'm living the life I have.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: I have the career of my dreams.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: You're living the dream. Yeah, the career of the life,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: all of it.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: So now I got the chick on my dream.
- 1:22:14Speaker 11: So so tell me.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Do you hear what your uncle is saying? Because it's
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: how I didn't.
- 1:22:20Speaker 10: Say I didn't have a woman of my I didn't
- 1:22:22Speaker 10: say I didn't have a woman of my dream. What
- 1:22:23Speaker 10: you're not gonna do is change just here.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: It makes me ill the way you said.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: Conversation, the way you make me look anybody if we
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: didn't answer, Would you rather move on to the next.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Calm yourself down, sir?
- 1:22:46Speaker 11: Would you rather be covered from your neck to torso
- 1:22:49Speaker 11: and tattoos or just have one big face tattoos?
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: Have no face tattoo.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Next to a lot of people?
- 1:22:58Speaker 11: Do I can't think for a year, or not sleep
- 1:23:01Speaker 11: for a year, sleep for a whole year, or not
- 1:23:06Speaker 11: sleep for a whole year.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Which one sleep?
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: Shirley's Yeah, I'd rather be up.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: To sleep for a whole year?
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Why await his own myth? Can it be one of
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: Trump's years? Because I could sleep.

- 1:23:41Speaker 11: after this.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, says Carlo Ferrol.
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: Kick that old mop and bucket aside? Are you ready
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: for a mop and bucket clean? And half the time
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: make the swap to Swipper Power mop, the only one
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: cleaning zero has a built in solution that breaks down
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: dirt and grime like magic. With hundreds of scrubbing strips
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: on the pad, it absorbs sticky messes with ease. Plus
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: it'll leave your home smelling great for hours after cleaning.
- 1:24:13Speaker 7: Get yours today and mock smarter with the Swiffer Power Mob.
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: All right, guys, here we are. It is our last
- 1:24:20Speaker 11: break of the day on this Thursday. It's been a
- 1:24:23Speaker 11: good day and thank you to our audience. As usual,
- 1:24:26Speaker 11: as always, for listening. We appreciate you so much. We
- 1:24:30Speaker 11: don't take you for granted.
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: Steve Hey my clothes remarks. Today, I want to give
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: some encouragement to people out here.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: You know, this is a new year.
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: In the new year, it gives us an opportunity to reset.
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: You know, it's just like a new day. It's like
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: when you get off work and get to go home,
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: you know, except new years come every three hundred and
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: sixty five days, your birthday comes. It gives you a
- 1:24:57Speaker 8: chance to reset. Those are just monuments in everybody's life
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: that they get to But in this new year, let
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: me offer you a suggestion. Listen, set your goals and
- 1:25:10Speaker 8: your aspirations, and when you do that, I want you
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: to do just one very simple thing that seems to
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: be so hard for so many people to do. And
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: that one simple thing is this. When you set your
- 1:25:28Speaker 8: aspirations and goals, I want you to keep the faith.
- 1:25:35Speaker 8: Keep the faith. Now, the reason I say it's a
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: very simple thing to do but so hard to do
- 1:25:42Speaker 8: is because we are human and as we're approaching our
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: dreams and aspirations, we are going to be hit with
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: the opposition. Because every action there is an equal and
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: opposite reaction.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: Correct.
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: So if you want your dream to come true, there
- 1:26:00Speaker 8: is always going to be problems to prevent that. Situations
- 1:26:05Speaker 8: are going to be presented to prevent that. Keep the faith,
- 1:26:13Speaker 8: don't lose sight of your goals, don't give up, and
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: don't you dare stop believing. That's the key to the
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: whole thing. I cannot tell you how many times I've
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: been disappointed. I can't count them. I can't count the
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: times I've aimed for something and it didn't go that way.
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: I can't tell you how many times it took way
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: longer to happen than I wanted it to. I'm going
- 1:26:47Speaker 8: through some things right now, but man o, man o,
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: man the thing that I really am true to is
- 1:26:56Speaker 8: I keep the faith.
- 1:26:57Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:26:58Speaker 8: It doesn't mean it doesn't mean that you don't get
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: off balanced sometimes. It doesn't mean that you don't start
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: having doubts. That ain't what keep the faith means. Keep
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: the faith means when you do have the doubts, when
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: you do feel lost and confused, and you feel like
- 1:27:18Speaker 8: it ain't gonna happen, it ain't going your way, tell
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: God about it, take it to God, get up, dust
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: yourself off, and get back on it. See, keeping the
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: faith don't mean that there won't be moments where your
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: faith is shaky. Oh, it's gonna be them moments right there.
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: It don't mean that there won't be times where you
- 1:27:45Speaker 8: don't feel as reassured as you normally do are used to.
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: Those moments are coming. But listen to me when you
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: get through it, their moments, and let them just be moments.
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: Get back on it. Keep the faith, Keep the faith, y'all. Now,
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: I'm saying that over and over and over because I'm
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: telling you that's the key. Faith is a belief in
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: things that you cannot see. And when your way get
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: dark and cloudy and gloomy out there, and it looked
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: like you can't see it, that's where your faith got
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: to kick in. Because God is always standing by. God
- 1:28:21Speaker 8: is always available. We got to keep the faith. Man,
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: You gotta keep the faith. You can't give up on God.
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: You know why, because God don't ever give up on you.
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: Do you know how many wrongs I've made in my life?
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: And went back to God and he said, okay, all right,
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: I got you, man, come on, let's go again. And
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: I get back on my horse and I go again
- 1:28:46Speaker 8: now you're going to have people who remind you of
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: when you fell off the horse, and you're gonna have
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: people coming up to you telling you who you used
- 1:28:53Speaker 8: to be and how you used to be. Don't worry
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: about that. And we all used to be something. But
- 1:29:00Speaker 8: funny how the people that always pointing out to you
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: what you used to be, they the same, They always
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: being that raggedy, bad mouthing human being that can't find
- 1:29:10Speaker 8: nothing to do except find something wrong with you. There's
- 1:29:14Speaker 8: a pastor that comes on TV well online a lot
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: of times, and you know he's very polished in the
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: Word of God. But you know what throws me about him.
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: He don't never say nothing about himself. He don't never
- 1:29:27Speaker 8: tell nobody when he was making mistakes.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: He don't tell.
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: Nobody how he got over, how God had to forgive him.
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: I'm just concerned about people like that. But he always
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: got something to say about somebody else. He got a
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: celebrity coming out of his mouth, he got another preacher
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: coming out of his mouth, and just be bad mouthing
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: them like he has never made a mistake, and I
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: know he has, Oh.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: He know the word of God, or he throw that
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: Bible up on.
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: You in a heartbeat, but ain't never nothing wrong with him,
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: but always something wrong with somebody else.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: You gotta be careful of people. Man.
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: Get yourself in a situation man where you understand that
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: you are flawed human being and you are subject to
- 1:30:13Speaker 8: make mistakes. That's what forgiveness and grace is all about.
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: And don't let nobody fool you. Got you thinking that
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: they're skipping through this life seeing free. That person don't exist.
- 1:30:23Speaker 8: The only person that came into this world and did
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: is seeing free is gone. He's coming back, but he left.
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: He left.
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: Other than that, the rest of us, ain't it. So
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: when you fall and you get it all wrong and
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: you then messed up, go to God. Ask for some
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: of that grace, for some of that favor and that forgiveness.
- 1:30:50Speaker 8: Get back on the horse. You know what I want
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: you to do. Keep the faith. Those are my closing remarks.
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: I hope you had to go with the day. Hey,
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: y'all talk to God.
