- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out. Turn you haven't got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out? Then turn the water the water got me?

- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody? You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show today? Is it? Everybody? On a real positive note? Today?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Is it? Today is the day? You know? When I
- 2:18Speaker 1: was in high school, you know, my mother was a
- 2:20Speaker 1: Sunday school teaching until she passed. I would walk out
- 2:24Speaker 1: the door every morning on my way to school, and
- 2:27Speaker 1: my mother used to say, listen to me, son, hey,
- 2:29Speaker 1: don't forget today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. And you know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I ain't think much of it. You know, it's just
- 2:37Speaker 1: my mama being religious, you know, spiritual woman. So you
- 2:41Speaker 1: know I just took it as dad. But as I've
- 2:43Speaker 1: gotten older, man, you know that's registered more and more
- 2:46Speaker 1: with me. Today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. That's pretty cool, man.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What better blessing will you get throughout the day than
- 2:57Speaker 1: the fact that he allowed you to live and see
- 2:59Speaker 1: another day? See sometimes, Man, when you're young, you don't
- 3:03Speaker 1: pay no attention to that. But all you got to
- 3:05Speaker 1: do is keep living, keep watching some people that you
- 3:08Speaker 1: know not be here anymore. Go to class reunions and
- 3:12Speaker 1: they're smaller. See people that you really loved. It meant
- 3:15Speaker 1: a lot till you leave this world, and all of
- 3:17Speaker 1: a sudden, man, immortality starts to matter a great deal
- 3:21Speaker 1: to you. Some of us learned this lesson sooner than others.
- 3:26Speaker 1: But I know, when you're young, man, you know, you
- 3:27Speaker 1: think you're gonna be here for a while. You think
- 3:29Speaker 1: you got time to play around. You think you got
- 3:31Speaker 1: time to get it together, you got time to make
- 3:33Speaker 1: the mistakes. And but man, oh man, almost every full
- 3:37Speaker 1: blown adult that I know will tell you and have
- 3:40Speaker 1: said these words right here many times. And I want
- 3:43Speaker 1: to see the reason I'm saying this because I want
- 3:44Speaker 1: you to hear them, because you're gonna use them if
- 3:47Speaker 1: I only knew then what I know now. Do you
- 3:50Speaker 1: know how many people have said those words right there?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Because in time, man, you gain so much wisdom. Oh
- 3:57Speaker 1: but it ain't like nobody didn't tell you, though. Somebody
- 4:00Speaker 1: told you back then. Hey man, it's best to buckle
- 4:02Speaker 1: down now, he said, Hey man, you better quit wasting time. Hey, look,
- 4:06Speaker 1: do your best at all the times. You know, stop
- 4:09Speaker 1: stop worrying about that. I'm telling you, son, in a minute,
- 4:11Speaker 1: them clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you. In a minute,
- 4:14Speaker 1: they're going out all the time. Ain't gonna mean nothing
- 4:16Speaker 1: to you. I can't tell you how many times I
- 4:18Speaker 1: repeat it to my kids. But man, today is a
- 4:21Speaker 1: different day, because today is the day that the Lord
- 4:24Speaker 1: is made. So he gave you a shot today. If
- 4:27Speaker 1: you woke up this morning, or if you're finishing your
- 4:29Speaker 1: day on your shift, he gave you a new day.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Nothing bigger than the fact that he woke you up today. Now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: why don't you do something about that? Why don't you
- 4:40Speaker 1: take advantage of it? How About if you start today?
- 4:42Speaker 1: How about if you stop hesitating today. How About if
- 4:45Speaker 1: you stop delaying it today? How about if you stop
- 4:48Speaker 1: procrastinating today? How about if you make today to day
- 4:51Speaker 1: that you go forward. I mean, man, let's all just
- 4:53Speaker 1: decide today, let's go forward. Let's put forth a maximum
- 4:57Speaker 1: effort today. I mean, really, man, what you're doing you look, man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: take advantage of this blessing of waking up, do something today.
- 5:06Speaker 1: If you would just start the process, man, start that
- 5:09Speaker 1: business you always dreamed of. Go looking to that other
- 5:12Speaker 1: job you always yearn for. Go get the training you
- 5:14Speaker 1: need to get the promotion. Man, going back to school. Man,
- 5:18Speaker 1: go see what you need to do to lift yourself
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the next level. Stop waking up every day seeing
- 5:24Speaker 1: high it's gonna go, and start waking up and do
- 5:26Speaker 1: something about how it goes. If you make one step,
- 5:29Speaker 1: he'll make two. But you could people talk about all
- 5:32Speaker 1: the time, man, it seems like you're always getting a blessing.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Oh man, when you're talking to a person, listen to this.
- 5:38Speaker 1: If you're talking to a person and it seems like
- 5:41Speaker 1: there's always a blessing coming his way, let me tell
- 5:43Speaker 1: you what that person doing. That person is putting one
- 5:46Speaker 1: foot in front of the next. That person is putting
- 5:49Speaker 1: forth some efforts out there. And that's the only way
- 5:52Speaker 1: God can bless you. God can only bless you with
- 5:54Speaker 1: your efforts. He can only put his finger on the
- 5:59Speaker 1: thing that you are doing all attempting. That's all he
- 6:03Speaker 1: can help you with. He that are no jobs walking
- 6:06Speaker 1: up to your door, knocking on your door. But if
- 6:09Speaker 1: you're beating the payment, if you're sending it in the apps,
- 6:11Speaker 1: if you own line, scouring somewhere to work, somewhere to
- 6:14Speaker 1: get a job, then God can touch somebody's hard to
- 6:16Speaker 1: hire you. But if you're sitting at the house every day,
- 6:19Speaker 1: smoke everyday, drinking, but you wonder why you just can't
- 6:23Speaker 1: get a job. The a couple of times you don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: want out there, you got to If you ain't got
- 6:27Speaker 1: a job, you gotta go get one every day. You
- 6:30Speaker 1: got to go look for one every single day. You
- 6:32Speaker 1: can't take no days off. How about today? How about today?
- 6:36Speaker 1: If we decide today is a day that we're gonna
- 6:39Speaker 1: make the move. Today is the day that we stop delaying, hesitating, procrastinating.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Today is today that we take a step in the
- 6:46Speaker 1: direction to do something for ourselves, for our lives, for
- 6:49Speaker 1: our family, for our wives, for our children, for our community,
- 6:52Speaker 1: for our school. Do something today, for crying out loud, man,
- 6:57Speaker 1: stop sitting in your own life, in just a stew
- 7:01Speaker 1: of misery in your own life. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 7:05Speaker 1: If you are in a state of confusion, if you
- 7:07Speaker 1: are troubling, if you're stuck on what to do next,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you let me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That's what it is. Man. See when I get in
- 7:17Speaker 1: a place, man where I don't know what the next
- 7:21Speaker 1: move is, it's because i'd unusually stalled out. See, this
- 7:25Speaker 1: is the way God works. This is the way He's
- 7:27Speaker 1: worked for me. Every time I'm busy and I'm about
- 7:30Speaker 1: the business of always trying to live my creed, which
- 7:34Speaker 1: is ABC. My motto is ABC always be closing. I'm
- 7:38Speaker 1: always working on something, something to close something. When you're
- 7:43Speaker 1: so busy with the business of improving yourself and doing
- 7:47Speaker 1: with yourself and becoming the best you you can be,
- 7:50Speaker 1: God is always working on your behalf, behind some scene
- 7:55Speaker 1: of something that you're in the process of tempting to close.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But because you're not doing all you can do, you're
- 8:03Speaker 1: limiting you. You are because if your decision not to
- 8:07Speaker 1: give you all in all, you're limiting the opportunities for
- 8:10Speaker 1: God to put his finger on things and touch them
- 8:12Speaker 1: on your behalf. I don't know if the average person
- 8:17Speaker 1: really understands or knows what it takes to truly be
- 8:22Speaker 1: successful on whatever level you're talking about. But whatever that
- 8:26Speaker 1: level is, I don't care what a dollar amount you've
- 8:28Speaker 1: got attached to it, what level you got if you
- 8:30Speaker 1: have made the decision that you're going to be successful.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I think that a lot of people, the average person
- 8:36Speaker 1: does not know what that means. Whatever level you've decided
- 8:40Speaker 1: to be successful on, See, that's your level of faith,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that's where you see your life at. Well, guess what
- 8:47Speaker 1: you got to maximize your efforts to even get to
- 8:50Speaker 1: that level. So listen to me. If you want to
- 8:53Speaker 1: be successful at your church, if you want to be
- 8:56Speaker 1: successful in your relationship, if you want to be successful
- 8:59Speaker 1: down at the daycare, if you want to be successful
- 9:01Speaker 1: at your college, if you want to be successful on
- 9:04Speaker 1: your job, guess what it's gonna take all you got
- 9:09Speaker 1: in that world to become a success. I don't know
- 9:13Speaker 1: why people think that if you don't want to be
- 9:15Speaker 1: what somebody else said, you ain't got to put forth
- 9:17Speaker 1: that effort. Na I ain't wrong. You've got to put
- 9:21Speaker 1: forth your maximum effort at whatever role you're trying to accomplish.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Lord have mercy. Man. How about today, though, y'all? How
- 9:29Speaker 1: about today today as a good one. Let's make today today.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Let's get out of that. Let's get on with it.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Stop hesitating, stop delaying, stop procrastinating, start today. Watch God
- 9:41Speaker 1: have something to put his finger on there. And that's
- 9:44Speaker 1: all you're trying to do. Man, to line yourself up
- 9:46Speaker 1: with God's grace, you got to put out a lot
- 9:49Speaker 1: of effort so God can put his finger on something.
- 9:52Speaker 1: You feel me today? I shall hope you do because
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm on one today. Let's go. You're listening to show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, animal trainers, pigeon entertainers,
- 10:08Speaker 1: monkey handlers, organ grinder, apostles, disciples, uber drivers, postal workers,
- 10:19Speaker 1: fair ex employees, My favorites. What's up? Y'all? Like them?
- 10:23Speaker 1: I love him? Boys ups drivers love him to? What
- 10:27Speaker 1: up y'all? Amazon? Prime drivers? What up? Y'all? I'm gonna
- 10:32Speaker 1: My goal is to order something on Amazon? And you
- 10:38Speaker 1: ain't never done that thing. I did one time, but
- 10:43Speaker 1: my kids was laughing at me, so I might not
- 10:45Speaker 1: have did it. He knew that every other name you
- 10:50Speaker 1: did it well. It never came. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome
- 10:57Speaker 1: to everybody to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Shirley Strawberry, Califf
- 11:01Speaker 1: rel Myth of the South, Mississippi, Monica Junior, Government name kills,
- 11:05Speaker 1: fates and the legend that is Nephew Timming Junior. What's up?
- 11:10Speaker 1: What's on your mind? A little man? Ask you this
- 11:13Speaker 1: big dog, yo, I've been thinking about this man. What
- 11:16Speaker 1: is the hardest lesson God had to teach you? Patience?
- 11:21Speaker 1: I ain't even when I ain't had to hesitate patience.
- 11:25Speaker 1: God's timing. It's not my timing, and my timing is
- 11:29Speaker 1: nowhere near in correlation of line that with God's timing
- 11:33Speaker 1: and the moment I had to learn that the moment
- 11:35Speaker 1: I could sit down and get myself together, it was patience, junior,
- 11:41Speaker 1: Patience learning to lean on God's will and timing and
- 11:48Speaker 1: not mine. Because all I did was worried myself for
- 11:53Speaker 1: no reason at all. That's all I did. I got
- 11:57Speaker 1: myself so overly concerned with stuff that I had no
- 12:02Speaker 1: control over being impatient patience with what He taught me.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I got this you mine and I'm yours. You ask
- 12:13Speaker 1: me for it I'm boxing it, packaging it up, and
- 12:16Speaker 1: i'm shipping it now. I'm not gonna tell you the
- 12:19Speaker 1: date that the package is gonna arrive. So stay on
- 12:24Speaker 1: Face Street and wait on the delivery of the package
- 12:29Speaker 1: and stay out the way. Quit calling and arranging and
- 12:34Speaker 1: trying to do it, and fix it yourself. I fix
- 12:37Speaker 1: this better than anybody else. And when I fix it
- 12:41Speaker 1: for you can't get undone. You can get in the
- 12:45Speaker 1: way and get your situation where I can unravel right
- 12:49Speaker 1: in front of your faith. But when God tape up
- 12:52Speaker 1: the box, it can't get open. Patience. That's the hardest,
- 12:59Speaker 1: and that and waiting on it his time, and it's
- 13:04Speaker 1: not your timing. His will is. You got to understand
- 13:08Speaker 1: what it is because God works for the good for
- 13:12Speaker 1: those who love and serve the Lord. I am an
- 13:16Speaker 1: imperfect soldier for Christ. That's all I am. Keywords imperfect, Yes, sir,
- 13:21Speaker 1: that's right. That's staying there, clear about that? All right?
- 13:26Speaker 1: You're out there that thank I'm imperfect. You're absolutely correct.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Thank you coming up with thirty two minutes after the
- 13:35Speaker 1: get me though, we'll hear from the apew with me
- 13:39Speaker 1: us prank back right after this. You're listening to show

- 13:51Speaker 1: know what I got ahead of yesterday and I got
- 13:53Speaker 1: it today. I'm gonna give it to you tomorrow too.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to you entertain you want it. That's
- 13:58Speaker 1: what I do. Right here is your trash stinks, your
- 14:03Speaker 1: track stinks. Hello. Hello, Hey, I'm trying to h I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: trying to reach swerve. Yeah this man, Well, how you doing? Man?
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm on I'm one of your neighbors, but I'm I'm
- 14:16Speaker 1: one street over from you, you over the off river
- 14:21Speaker 1: ran dry Yeah, that's right, a little this rico. Man,
- 14:24Speaker 1: how are you doing? I'm one of your neighbors on
- 14:26Speaker 1: the next street over. How are you doing? Okay, I'm
- 14:28Speaker 1: doing good, but how you how you getting my Another
- 14:30Speaker 1: one of the neighbors on your block gave me the number. Man.
- 14:33Speaker 1: We was we were having a little situation. Wanted to
- 14:35Speaker 1: reach out to you some stuff going on here in
- 14:38Speaker 1: the neighborhood, man, and wanted to try to make you
- 14:40Speaker 1: aware of it. Well, what what's going on? Uh? It
- 14:43Speaker 1: seemed like, um, well you know the trash man run
- 14:46Speaker 1: on on Tuesday, okay, and Saturday, right Nah. The problem
- 14:51Speaker 1: is it that that that a lot of people, I
- 14:53Speaker 1: guess since the holiday just passed, you know a lot
- 14:55Speaker 1: of people got their stuff out on the on the
- 14:57Speaker 1: curve already right right now. The problem is that that
- 15:02Speaker 1: they're saying, man, is that your trash is actually really
- 15:05Speaker 1: really filed. It's smelling and smelling pretty bad. And we
- 15:09Speaker 1: wanted to call you, man and see if you do
- 15:10Speaker 1: not hold on, hold on, hold on. You say you
- 15:13Speaker 1: calling me because you smell my trash? Well, yeah, they say,
- 15:17Speaker 1: yours is the one that's really speaking, man, And if
- 15:19Speaker 1: you could actually maybe put it in, put it back
- 15:21Speaker 1: in the in the in the garage until tuesday, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: no trash and no garage. That's why I put it outside.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I didn't have enough room in a garage. Okay, what
- 15:30Speaker 1: was see that? Man? Who is everybody saying my trash saying? Hey, listen,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm saying I'm not saying. You know what I want
- 15:38Speaker 1: to tell you. If everybody in the hood gotta file
- 15:41Speaker 1: with my trash? Sat you sall set? Okay? What what? What? What?
- 15:45Speaker 1: We we we've discussed that too, But listen, listen, we
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't want no trouble. Man. If we could just get
- 15:49Speaker 1: you to put your trash back in, I'm not moving trash.
- 15:53Speaker 1: I pay rent over here, my brother. Hey, we're not
- 15:56Speaker 1: gonna go back, and I'm not gonna go back. Give
- 15:58Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. I'm telling you where I pay man.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That don't tell me to just over here. Okay, Well listen, man,
- 16:04Speaker 1: aren't you concerned that your trans is thinking and reading
- 16:07Speaker 1: through the whole neighborhood. I don't give a damn who
- 16:10Speaker 1: smelled my chance? Is they got a problem with it?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Tells them come take it out? Still the end, it's
- 16:14Speaker 1: staying out there, okay, whether that's the problem, The problem
- 16:17Speaker 1: is that you took it out, and you took it
- 16:19Speaker 1: out too early. You shouldn't have put this out till
- 16:21Speaker 1: Tuesday morning. And now who didn't money in fide it?
- 16:25Speaker 1: If I put it out there, it's saying out that's today,
- 16:27Speaker 1: Come get it. I'm not gonna go back and forth
- 16:29Speaker 1: with you, man, Okay, damn what you gonna do. You
- 16:32Speaker 1: ain't gonna call me telling me take my chance, y'all.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I pay rent over here. Okay. How if everybody's smelling
- 16:38Speaker 1: my chad out of everybody on the sheet. I don't
- 16:41Speaker 1: know from my understanding, it's just a couple of holes
- 16:44Speaker 1: in it and some food or something else that got out.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I don't know if one of the roads or dog
- 16:49Speaker 1: got into the what the case may be. But you know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: we need to try to get your trash in the backyard.
- 16:54Speaker 1: My trash ain't going no damn well, and how come
- 16:57Speaker 1: you the one? You this? How come out next? Though? Navor?
- 17:01Speaker 1: I ain't calling? How come your round corner? And you called?
- 17:04Speaker 1: Who put you up to? This? Boy? What everybody's smelling it?
- 17:07Speaker 1: I was just fortunate enough to get your phone number.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I said, well, look, I just gone and call it myself.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I tell you this, you and that ain't you my phone? NU?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Take what I'm thinking? That still there? It ain't going
- 17:17Speaker 1: to okay? What we listen, litten, swerve this. We decide
- 17:21Speaker 1: on the case. We got to this situation with you.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I touch that. I just come over there and put
- 17:26Speaker 1: the trash in your backyard, and just tuesday morning and
- 17:29Speaker 1: Tuesday morning, I'll come back over there and take it
- 17:31Speaker 1: out that way. All the smell of being in your
- 17:33Speaker 1: backyard and you say you gonna what I'm gonna come
- 17:36Speaker 1: over there and put the trash in your backyard. So
- 17:40Speaker 1: the smell that fucking I mean, that's that. Let me say,
- 17:43Speaker 1: let me take it this there. If you come over here,
- 17:45Speaker 1: you might well called posies. That's who you go needs
- 17:48Speaker 1: you come over here, bring all of that. Had a
- 17:50Speaker 1: father saying my trash scene to come over here and
- 17:53Speaker 1: take it out. Man, you I mean you, you're trying.
- 17:55Speaker 1: You're trying to you trying to act like it don't smell. Man,
- 17:58Speaker 1: I don't give it if it smell. I tell you
- 18:00Speaker 1: what I do. I'm go out to pull through by
- 18:02Speaker 1: some on when that when that when they helped you
- 18:03Speaker 1: out and look here, okay, but seek does not what

- 18:09Speaker 1: give a damn what take walk? I'm telling you what
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. And how do did you get my
- 18:14Speaker 1: phone over any down right? I'd already told you, man,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I got your number for one of the neighbors on
- 18:18Speaker 1: your street that said they don't want to get should
- 18:21Speaker 1: have left one to the right, every which one. Listen, listen, listen, swerve.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Won't you get to the meet of the problem. The
- 18:28Speaker 1: problem is your trash. Think, don't how is it my trash?
- 18:31Speaker 1: How the hell y'all pippoint my sand out of everybody
- 18:34Speaker 1: else trash on the block, and how the hell you smell?
- 18:37Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I don't know what it is.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I don't know if you're trads busted open or what
- 18:40Speaker 1: the deal is. But everybody's saying everybody's saying it swerve trash.

- 21:21Speaker 1: is time to ask the CLO Chief Love car all right,
- 21:30Speaker 1: joy in the DMB rights. I'm a bartender and I
- 21:34Speaker 1: work with all males at an upscale restaurant. I got
- 21:38Speaker 1: caught having sex in the bathroom after hours. My bus
- 21:43Speaker 1: wasn't mad and just gave me a warning. Now the
- 21:46Speaker 1: other guys look at me like I'm a slut. It
- 21:49Speaker 1: was my boyfriend that was in the bathroom with me.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Do I owe them an explanation? I think? I think
- 21:56Speaker 1: the expation probably clear all us grow. We know what
- 21:59Speaker 1: you was doing. Yeah, what is the explanation you owe?
- 22:03Speaker 1: Oh you don't. Oh when they caught you, Oh you

- 22:10Speaker 1: it was a customer. He had some random man. Well
- 22:17Speaker 1: you might want to, you know, bring him and introduce
- 22:20Speaker 1: him to everybody. You don't owe him an explanation. But
- 22:23Speaker 1: when he comes back to the bar and he's sitting there,
- 22:26Speaker 1: just have him come to the bar and sitting on
- 22:27Speaker 1: the end, and then you introduce everybody here. That's your
- 22:30Speaker 1: fore y'all say, But they do it at the end.
- 22:33Speaker 1: They do it everywhere where they go. They do it. Yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 1: they gotta be what But but that ain't gonna change
- 22:38Speaker 1: where they still they work though, Yeah they don't. They
- 22:43Speaker 1: don't give a damn. They they could wait. They're gonna
- 22:46Speaker 1: feel the same way they feel about you, baby. Why
- 22:49Speaker 1: you know what? Yeah, I think you all the going
- 22:52Speaker 1: and need to stop bartending somewhere else. Ain't nobody here,
- 22:57Speaker 1: None of that worked before him. Ain't nobody you know
- 23:01Speaker 1: what y'all kill? We've done it at work night and
- 23:07Speaker 1: you have yeah, and which y'all were you getting busy
- 23:12Speaker 1: at produce department? What produce? Okay? I've heard it all,
- 23:21Speaker 1: all right, Yogi and Albert Querque says one of my
- 23:26Speaker 1: classmates hooks me up with the guys she went out
- 23:28Speaker 1: with a few times. He and I have been on
- 23:30Speaker 1: a few really good dates. So I called my classmates
- 23:33Speaker 1: thank her and asked why she let such a good
- 23:35Speaker 1: guy slip away. She said, because the sex was terrible.
- 23:40Speaker 1: My heart sank. Should I date this guy she slept with. Well,
- 23:45Speaker 1: what you ought to do is just tell her, well,
- 23:47Speaker 1: I had it last night, and girl, blew my wig off?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Why that lot? I told y'all this is life for
- 24:02Speaker 1: no reason, just random just saying it'd be a good lot. Girl.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I don't know what you told. Blew my wig off?
- 24:11Speaker 1: I I looked up at my wig was on the ceiling.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Fan girl, what you talk about? Yeah? Crazy? Just because
- 24:26Speaker 1: oh my god. But then you know what, c You
- 24:29Speaker 1: can't take her word for it. I she know, you know,
- 24:31Speaker 1: you never know who you're dealing with. You know, maybe
- 24:33Speaker 1: she was way too damn experienced. You know, you don't
- 24:36Speaker 1: know that it is your friend might be something that
- 24:39Speaker 1: ain't really you know, I don't know. I told him
- 24:42Speaker 1: I wanted to, you know that I was, you know,
- 24:45Speaker 1: an extrovert. Any coming there. He had nothing with him, No,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you know, he just in that time I saw something.
- 24:53Speaker 1: He got some oil. I don't want it all, you know,
- 24:56Speaker 1: So then there he gonna run out of the room
- 24:58Speaker 1: because I pulled a trunk up on the You bet
- 25:03Speaker 1: everybody don't want to do all that, right, Yeah, just
- 25:07Speaker 1: going and date this man. He might be a great guy.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You never know. Okay, what's good for somebody else might
- 25:13Speaker 1: not be good for you. But then what ain't good
- 25:15Speaker 1: for somebody else might be just perfect for you. Right yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: all right, moving on? Why are you taking her words?
- 25:21Speaker 1: She ain't got nobody. She let him go. June and
- 25:26Speaker 1: Clearwater says, my husband is a chef, and he gets
- 25:29Speaker 1: a kick out of tricking me into eating exotic foods.
- 25:32Speaker 1: He made gumbo with deer sausage and alligator meat, and
- 25:37Speaker 1: I was very irritated. So I had some barbecue delivered.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He says, I'm rude, but isn't he the rudest one?
- 25:45Speaker 1: I like to get a bonet that. Yeah, what do
- 25:49Speaker 1: you meet you in alligated? Yeah? I like Bob Venison
- 25:54Speaker 1: and gat him M yeah, but I get where she's
- 25:58Speaker 1: coming from. I like that he snugs the plans made
- 26:03Speaker 1: from college, snugs some possum on me one time. I
- 26:05Speaker 1: foll up to his ass for that. That What did
- 26:09Speaker 1: it taste like? Man? It was game and everything got
- 26:14Speaker 1: hard to sneak that in possible. Raccoon is hard meat.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Coon and dog looking dog strange ended shoe in you
- 26:25Speaker 1: had you eat? Yeah, I'm from Welch, West Virginia, right
- 26:33Speaker 1: next to a mountain. Anything came down that mountains that ship.
- 26:41Speaker 1: My brothers used to call it death Valley the past.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Any animal come down that heill. My dad is sitting
- 26:48Speaker 1: on the point four po shots hollow number nine. I've
- 26:56Speaker 1: had the musk rat, I've had possum. I have not
- 27:01Speaker 1: had squirrel. Go for a squirrel. We went squirrel hunt.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I've never had squirrel. What squirrel? Rabbit? Deal man boy,
- 27:13Speaker 1: wild boy won't give a dog, don't matter turtle. You
- 27:18Speaker 1: had some turtle. Yeah, yeah, I had turtle turtle like turtlesup.
- 27:22Speaker 1: They put turtle soup. They put a little sherry in it.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They give you a little sherry on the side. Pull
- 27:27Speaker 1: into the little turtle soup. I've had turtlesuits like that.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Can't name the night, Probably ain't, No, I don't. I
- 27:38Speaker 1: ain't gonna lie to you. Probably had dog and knew it.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I ain't gonna tell you what restaurant I was in,
- 27:44Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure that though I didn't at the
- 27:50Speaker 1: running the risk or ruining my career, I will tell you,
- 27:53Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I had dog. All right? Being on
- 28:00Speaker 1: last one Steve Azalia and, um, wait, did we answer her?
- 28:05Speaker 1: He says, I'm rude? But isn't he the rudest one
- 28:11Speaker 1: sharing us with your confusion? I'm just saying, did we
- 28:15Speaker 1: answer that question? Huh? The lady wants to know as
- 28:21Speaker 1: a chef, was she rude? Her husband called her rude?
- 28:24Speaker 1: But she's saying, isn't he rude for not telling her
- 28:27Speaker 1: what she was eating? Shirley question? But my question is
- 28:33Speaker 1: did we answer her? All right? We couldn't. No, we didn't.
- 28:36Speaker 1: We We turn ahead to he could we just draft
- 28:39Speaker 1: next week? Yet? All right, Azalia and what you've had
- 28:47Speaker 1: we see, that's why we didn't get a question answered. Yeh, Camel, yeah, Camel,
- 28:55Speaker 1: Yeah what fride? Okay? Uh if it had him, Mama,
- 29:04Speaker 1: all right, thank you, CeeLo. Coming up at the top
- 29:09Speaker 1: of the hour, we're gonna switch gears and talk to
- 29:12Speaker 1: Senator Rossi L. Warnock right after this. You're listening to Hey,
- 29:21Speaker 1: everybody has promised we got a special guest this morning. Uh.
- 29:25Speaker 1: This man is in the running for the Senator of
- 29:28Speaker 1: the State of Georgia and sens his election to the
- 29:31Speaker 1: US Senate back in twenty twenty one. Our special guests
- 29:34Speaker 1: has led the fight to expand access to affordable healthcare,
- 29:39Speaker 1: protect and create jobs, and lower the costs for hard
- 29:44Speaker 1: working Georgia families while serving all this time as the
- 29:49Speaker 1: senior past at the e. Benesia Baptist Church in Atlanta
- 29:52Speaker 1: for the past seventeen years. We've invited him to join
- 29:55Speaker 1: us today to stress the importance of voting in the
- 29:57Speaker 1: mere term election. He is a idemic credit candidate for
- 30:01Speaker 1: the US Senate and we want him to remain in
- 30:03Speaker 1: that position, and the entire Steve Harvey Nation is on
- 30:07Speaker 1: board with this mission. Please Welcome to the show, Senator
- 30:11Speaker 1: Raphael Warnut, welcome. Welcome, sir, welcome, Thank you so much.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. Great to be with Steve Harvey. Sir,
- 30:20Speaker 1: it is our honor to have you on the show.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Congratulations are so far and we got a lot of
- 30:25Speaker 1: work to do to make this thing happen, so let's
- 30:27Speaker 1: get started. You are leading the fight for all of
- 30:31Speaker 1: us that live here in Georgia in the US Senate
- 30:33Speaker 1: to lower cost and to protect and grow good paying
- 30:39Speaker 1: jobs and stand up for veterans and families. Let's talk
- 30:42Speaker 1: about that for a moment. Sir. Oh, that's that's absolutely right.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Thank you so much. It's great to be here and listen.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Serving the people of Georgia in the United States Senate
- 30:53Speaker 1: is the high honor of my life. That's a real
- 30:55Speaker 1: special thing. When the people of the state say, you know,
- 30:59Speaker 1: when we think about our families and our children, when
- 31:01Speaker 1: we think about our grandmothers and our grandfathers and what
- 31:04Speaker 1: they need, we want you to serve us. We want
- 31:06Speaker 1: you to represent us, and I'm honored to do it.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Every single day. We passed, first of all, the single
- 31:13Speaker 1: largest tax cuts for middle and working class families in
- 31:17Speaker 1: American history. It's called the Expanded Child Tax Credit. We
- 31:21Speaker 1: did that early in my tenure in the Senate, and
- 31:24Speaker 1: in recent months we passed the Inflation Reduction Act. That
- 31:28Speaker 1: piece of legislation, now signed into law by the President,
- 31:32Speaker 1: has two provisions that I wrote. One caps the cost
- 31:37Speaker 1: of the insulin for folks who are on Medicare to
- 31:40Speaker 1: no more than thirty five dollars out of pocket costs
- 31:43Speaker 1: per month. I was trying to get it done for
- 31:45Speaker 1: folks on private insurance as well, but people and who
- 31:50Speaker 1: work in the building that I work in. Some of
- 31:52Speaker 1: those politicians too, many of them feel that they worked
- 31:55Speaker 1: for the pharmaceutical companies. Well, I work for the people
- 31:57Speaker 1: of Georgia. I was able to get this cap folks
- 32:00Speaker 1: on Medicare on insulin, and if the people of Georgia
- 32:04Speaker 1: send me back to the Senate, I won't wrestle until
- 32:07Speaker 1: we get an insuluent cap for everybody who needs it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Insulin shouldn't be expensive as a one hundred year old drug.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I also wrote another provision that caps the cost of
- 32:16Speaker 1: prescription drugs for seniors who are Medicare. And I'm very
- 32:21Speaker 1: clear that that our grandmothers and grandfathers shouldn't have to
- 32:25Speaker 1: choose between buying medicine that they need and groceries that
- 32:29Speaker 1: they need. The people of Georgia hired me to stand
- 32:32Speaker 1: up and fight for them, and I'm committed to doing
- 32:34Speaker 1: that every single day. Yes, sir, let's talk about that
- 32:38Speaker 1: Medicaid cap and the cost of insulin program that you
- 32:41Speaker 1: were talking about full moment. Yeah, great, great to talk
- 32:44Speaker 1: about it. And let me say that, volks, the main
- 32:47Speaker 1: message this morning is that we need you to vote.
- 32:49Speaker 1: We need to show We need you to show up
- 32:51Speaker 1: for early voting. Election day is November eight, but we
- 32:56Speaker 1: shouldn't be talking about election day anymore. It's election season
- 33:00Speaker 1: and early voting is happening right now in Georgia through
- 33:03Speaker 1: November fourth, and we need you to show up. And
- 33:06Speaker 1: as you think about that, I want you to consider
- 33:08Speaker 1: the choice in front of you. I have already written
- 33:10Speaker 1: and passed the field the cap the cost of insulin
- 33:14Speaker 1: for folks who are on medicare to know more than
- 33:16Speaker 1: thirty five dollars about a pocket costs per month. That'll
- 33:19Speaker 1: be in place of this coming January. I wrote another provision,
- 33:25Speaker 1: the cap the cost of prescription drugs for seniors. Now
- 33:29Speaker 1: when I raised these issues during the debate on the
- 33:31Speaker 1: insulin question. My opponent as I talked about the need
- 33:36Speaker 1: to cap the cost of insulin and that these companies
- 33:38Speaker 1: should not be price gauting a medicine that people need,
- 33:42Speaker 1: especially in a state where a million people have diabetes.
- 33:47Speaker 1: You know what his response was, He said, people just
- 33:49Speaker 1: need to eat right. I don't know how it is
- 33:52Speaker 1: that he's running for Center and he doesn't know that
- 33:56Speaker 1: you can eat right and still have diabetes. It doesn't
- 33:59Speaker 1: explain why they're gouging the price. I think people should
- 34:03Speaker 1: live healthy is something I talked about as a pastor
- 34:06Speaker 1: for years. But he's blaming the people rather than the
- 34:09Speaker 1: pharmaceutical companies who are gouging the price. If his answer
- 34:14Speaker 1: to the insolent crisis and price gouging is people just
- 34:19Speaker 1: need to eat right, maybe he should run the dietitian.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I'm running for the United States Center to represent the
- 34:25Speaker 1: people of Georgia. Come on you. Also, I like to
- 34:29Speaker 1: point out sometimes people take positions based on money, and
- 34:33Speaker 1: if you are supportive of big business, then you're not
- 34:36Speaker 1: gonna say nothing about big business. That was a ridiculous
- 34:39Speaker 1: statement to make about eating right. You've also fought really
- 34:44Speaker 1: really hard, sir, to protect and create jobs through Georgia.
- 34:48Speaker 1: How did this come about? I have we passed the
- 34:52Speaker 1: Jobs and Competition Bill a few months ago, and let
- 34:56Speaker 1: me say that we did that on a bipartisan basis.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I'm to us the eighteenth most bipartisan senator in the Senate.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I work with anybody if it helps me to get
- 35:06Speaker 1: something done that's good for the people of Georgia, and
- 35:09Speaker 1: I've done it time and time again. This Job and
- 35:13Speaker 1: Competition build, among other things, it invests in domestic manufacturing,
- 35:18Speaker 1: keeping the jobs right here in Georgia, right here in
- 35:21Speaker 1: the United States. And a lot of that is focused
- 35:25Speaker 1: on the issue of chips or semiconductors. Chips are in everything.
- 35:29Speaker 1: They're all around us. Anything pretty much that hasn't on
- 35:32Speaker 1: an off switch nowadays has chips. And as we are
- 35:37Speaker 1: building cars that are more and more technologically sophisticated, even
- 35:41Speaker 1: electric cars, they have, you know, as many as two
- 35:45Speaker 1: thousand chips in the car. Home On one second, right back,
- 35:49Speaker 1: we're talking to Senate candidate Senator Raphael Warnack, and we'll
- 35:54Speaker 1: be right back. We're talking about a lot of things
- 35:56Speaker 1: and the ways he's helping Georgia families said, we'll be
- 36:00Speaker 1: right back with more from Senator Raphael Warnock. You're listening,
- 36:06Speaker 1: light everybody. We're back in our special guests this morning
- 36:09Speaker 1: is our senator candidate and current Senator Raphael Warnock. He's
- 36:14Speaker 1: up for re election and we got we got some
- 36:16Speaker 1: work to take care of us. Steve Harvey Nation. We've
- 36:19Speaker 1: already proven that we have the power to change things
- 36:24Speaker 1: through our vote. That has been very obvious in the
- 36:27Speaker 1: last election, and we're gonna make it even more obvious
- 36:30Speaker 1: in this election. So this morning we invited the Senator on.
- 36:34Speaker 1: We're talking about one thing and one thing only, the
- 36:38Speaker 1: importance of all of us getting out to vote. Just
- 36:43Speaker 1: tell us your fan, your voting base, your your constituents,
- 36:48Speaker 1: the people of Georgia who listen to this show. You
- 36:51Speaker 1: have a huge number of fans, tell them the importance
- 36:54Speaker 1: of turning out to vote in this mid term election.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Listen, when you see rising costs,
- 37:00Speaker 1: well are the costs of the cars going up? Well,
- 37:03Speaker 1: we have a plant right in West Point, Georgia that
- 37:06Speaker 1: had to shut down on multiple occasions, not because they
- 37:09Speaker 1: didn't have enough customers, but because they didn't have enough chips.
- 37:12Speaker 1: We're waiting on chips to come from China that we
- 37:15Speaker 1: ought to be making right here in the United States.
- 37:17Speaker 1: And so I led the fight in passing the Jobs
- 37:20Speaker 1: and Competition Bill to keep those jobs right here in Georgia.
- 37:24Speaker 1: That same bill also invests in creating stem jobs right
- 37:31Speaker 1: here in the country, and it invests in HBCUs, historically
- 37:35Speaker 1: black colleges and universities. I'm a proud Morehouse graduate. I
- 37:39Speaker 1: know that we have smart young people on these college campuses.
- 37:44Speaker 1: HBCUs have been punching way above their weight for so long.
- 37:47Speaker 1: They've been doing so much for so many people for
- 37:50Speaker 1: so very little, that people expect them to do something
- 37:53Speaker 1: for nothing. I secured in the Jobs and Competition Bill
- 37:58Speaker 1: two point seven billion dollars with a D for HBCUs.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I secured a total of six billion dollars in the
- 38:06Speaker 1: twenty months that I've been in the Senate. Bascus, Yes, sir,
- 38:10Speaker 1: you vote early. What a great job. A vote is
- 38:17Speaker 1: a kind of prayer for the world we desire, for
- 38:21Speaker 1: ourselves and for our children. It's time to pray not
- 38:25Speaker 1: just with our lips, but with our legs, to put
- 38:29Speaker 1: our faith in our dreams into action. People gave too
- 38:33Speaker 1: much for us to sit home. And the foremost powerful
- 38:36Speaker 1: words and the democracy are the people have spoken. And
- 38:40Speaker 1: so I will continue to make my case over the
- 38:42Speaker 1: next several days. But we need people to get out
- 38:44Speaker 1: and vote early. Don't wait until November eighth. The issues
- 38:48Speaker 1: are too urgent, the stakes are too high, and frankly,
- 38:52Speaker 1: the differences between me and my opponent are much too
- 38:55Speaker 1: wide for us to leave all of that hinging on
- 38:59Speaker 1: one day. So tell everybody you know, Call your friends,
- 39:02Speaker 1: call your family members, call your church members, call the
- 39:05Speaker 1: people who owe you money, and tell them that it's
- 39:08Speaker 1: side to vote. If you're married, tell them it's gonna
- 39:13Speaker 1: be a long, cold night if you haven't voted. And
- 39:16Speaker 1: if they if you're if you're singling, answer your phone number.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Tell them to write it on the back of a
- 39:21Speaker 1: voter registration card. Because we don't think people don't vote.
- 39:24Speaker 1: We are serious about Hey, listen, everybody, We're gonna take
- 39:28Speaker 1: one last break and when we come back. Senator Rafael Warner,
- 39:32Speaker 1: you're listening. I everybody went back. Welcome back to the
- 39:38Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Our special guest this morning. It's
- 39:41Speaker 1: a Democratic candidate for the US Senate Senator Rafael Warnack. Listen, listen,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I was John Lewis's pastor, and when I
- 39:50Speaker 1: think about the sacrifice of someone like him, you know,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I was thinking the night I presided, the night before
- 39:57Speaker 1: I presided over his funeral, I'm thinking, what was John
- 40:01Speaker 1: Lewis thinking crossing that Edmund Pettish Bridge. He didn't know
- 40:05Speaker 1: what he would face. He knew that there was violence
- 40:07Speaker 1: on the other side of that bridge, but he faced
- 40:09Speaker 1: it down so that we could use our voice. So
- 40:12Speaker 1: we shouldn't allow anybody to mute our voice. Your vote
- 40:15Speaker 1: is your voice. Your voice is your human dignity. For
- 40:18Speaker 1: the sake of the future, for the sake of your
- 40:20Speaker 1: children and your grandparents, for the sake of jobs and veterans,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and a woman's right to choose to make their own
- 40:27Speaker 1: healthcare choices. We need everybody to show up to vote. Absolutely,
- 40:33Speaker 1: And you know what, now, what I love about this
- 40:37Speaker 1: candidate here, Senator warn Up, is he has remained a
- 40:42Speaker 1: gentleman throughout this thing. He has remained honorable, he has
- 40:48Speaker 1: remained true to his core values as a man, as
- 40:52Speaker 1: a Christian, and so he's taken the high road. For sure.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I don't I don't to do that all the time. No, no, no,
- 41:05Speaker 1: So let me just say this right here for me
- 41:10Speaker 1: on the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and for Steve Harvey,
- 41:13Speaker 1: this is Steve talking. We have got to get out
- 41:16Speaker 1: and vote. We have to vote. Voting works. It worked
- 41:21Speaker 1: last time, he benefited from us. Last time we turned
- 41:26Speaker 1: for the first time to stay to Georgia practically blue.
- 41:30Speaker 1: We can do it again. We just have to get
- 41:32Speaker 1: out and vote. And the choice, and the obvious choice
- 41:36Speaker 1: is Senator war Knock. Why are we even discussing this.
- 41:40Speaker 1: It sickens me how they try to trick us out
- 41:44Speaker 1: of our vote. First of all, we voter suppression, moving
- 41:47Speaker 1: mail boxes, changing polling places, colding down, closing down polling places.
- 41:52Speaker 1: They even got laws now where you can't give nobody
- 41:55Speaker 1: water standing in line. They're doing everything. So if you
- 41:59Speaker 1: vote early, like the Senator said, we can avoid all that.
- 42:03Speaker 1: We're just gone in here and we can vote, and
- 42:05Speaker 1: we can get the right candidate in here because his opponent.
- 42:09Speaker 1: You have got to be kidding me. You have got
- 42:12Speaker 1: to be kidding me when you make a statement like
- 42:14Speaker 1: he made about the price of insolent people are to
- 42:18Speaker 1: just eat right, You can't be that bigg of an
- 42:21Speaker 1: idiot and not understand how this really does work? Or
- 42:26Speaker 1: are you supporting big business because your friends propped you
- 42:29Speaker 1: up to be the senator in the first place, that
- 42:31Speaker 1: you're completely unqualified for this. He need to be running somewhere,
- 42:37Speaker 1: not for Senate ra He need to be running a
- 42:39Speaker 1: football or something like that. You send up in the man,
- 42:41Speaker 1: just dude, because he black, you think you're gonna put
- 42:43Speaker 1: him in here and confuse the voters. That ain't how
- 42:46Speaker 1: We're smarter than that. We understand issues, we understand what's wrong,
- 42:51Speaker 1: and we understand trickery. And also we know an idiot
- 42:56Speaker 1: when we see one. Now the pastor not gonna see me.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I knew we weren't gonna make it all the way
- 43:02Speaker 1: through this interview. I tried. I tried to take the
- 43:06Speaker 1: high road, but I don't really how about my road
- 43:10Speaker 1: only go this high? Okay, I'm owned my high road.
- 43:14Speaker 1: So I just wanted to say that to all the
- 43:16Speaker 1: brothers out there. We got to get out and vote.
- 43:19Speaker 1: We got to show up. Black men have to get
- 43:21Speaker 1: to the polls. We can be the deciding fact that
- 43:25Speaker 1: everybody got to get to the poll. But a special
- 43:28Speaker 1: call out to black men out there. We got to
- 43:30Speaker 1: get to the polls. I'm sorry, Pastor, I'm gonna keep
- 43:35Speaker 1: praying for you, Steve Harved that I need. I need
- 43:43Speaker 1: David there too. So that's who I'm going with. Amen, Amen,
- 43:48Speaker 1: God bless your brother. Listen, everybody needs to pray. A
- 43:51Speaker 1: vote is the prayer. Let's pray. Let's show up. We're
- 43:54Speaker 1: gonna show up. Thank you, sir. Hey, everybody our special
- 43:57Speaker 1: guests this morning. Democratic candidate for the US Senate, show
- 44:01Speaker 1: your love, get out and vote for Senator Raphael Warnock.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Thank you so much, sir. Thank you. You need to
- 44:07Speaker 1: go to all the call You know that I try,
- 44:11Speaker 1: I try. Tell me not the vote Senator. That's it.
- 44:16Speaker 1: We're gonna get him to the poll. Thank you, sir.
- 44:19Speaker 1: You're the best. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
- 44:22Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 44:25Speaker 1: Show right after this. I'm sorry, no you're not. You're
- 44:30Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 44:34Speaker 1: about four minutes after the hour. It's my Strawberry letter
- 44:38Speaker 1: for today and the subject is flaming on the bourbon
- 44:41Speaker 1: or not. We'll get into that find out what that's
- 44:45Speaker 1: all about in just a few because right now it
- 44:48Speaker 1: is time for the nephew and today's prank phone call. Nephew,
- 44:52Speaker 1: what you got? Well, you know, cher, everybody is not
- 44:56Speaker 1: all me and are not like Tommy. You know blessed?
- 45:00Speaker 1: You know in certain areas you understands no no, not finance,
- 45:07Speaker 1: other areas, last jobs, no no, no no. Physically blessed
- 45:18Speaker 1: like that, you understand you know well, things that a
- 45:21Speaker 1: woman is looking for, where you are just physically just blessed. Well,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I can't I can't come in on that part because
- 45:29Speaker 1: I don't know anything about that. I know where you
- 45:32Speaker 1: ain't for Thank god, that's damn what are you talking about?
- 45:39Speaker 1: That measure his ass? I better be shot in. Everybody
- 45:47Speaker 1: is in the family, so everybody is not blessed. So
- 45:53Speaker 1: here's a title, Go big or go home, Go big
- 45:58Speaker 1: or go home. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Darnell, Darnell.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Let's see this, Darnell. How you doing this? Is Scott
- 46:08Speaker 1: soon with Bigger, bigger and better, where we make you
- 46:11Speaker 1: larger in charge? How you doing today? Scott? Who imam in? Scott?
- 46:16Speaker 1: So I'm with Bigger and better where we make you
- 46:19Speaker 1: larger in charge. I'm good Scott. Look what's up. We
- 46:23Speaker 1: were actually, uh given a phone call by your wife.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Your wife, is is that correct? Yeah? Okay? Well, um,
- 46:32Speaker 1: you know your wife's um, your wife's birthday is coming
- 46:34Speaker 1: up pretty soon, is that right? Yeah? Yeah, so a
- 46:37Speaker 1: couple of weeks. Yeah, it's coming up. Okay. Have you
- 46:40Speaker 1: have you decided on getting or anything or have you
- 46:43Speaker 1: purchased anything yet? No? No, I got a couple of
- 46:46Speaker 1: days in mind. Um. Well, actually, uh, we got a
- 46:50Speaker 1: call from from I think we've got something that's gonna
- 46:54Speaker 1: that's gonna really help you guys, and and something I
- 46:58Speaker 1: think that um she to recommend that something that you
- 47:01Speaker 1: probably wouldn't wouldn't think about getting. Oh, I'm only is
- 47:06Speaker 1: okay and racking my brain. So I'm on is actually
- 47:09Speaker 1: gave us the call. She's actually had an idea you know,
- 47:12Speaker 1: what she would really really like for her birthday present.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So what's her name? You're company? Bigger and Better? Um,
- 47:19Speaker 1: like I said, she called you, I'm sorry, she called
- 47:23Speaker 1: you to give me idea on what I should get
- 47:26Speaker 1: her for her birthday. Uh. Yeah, well this is this
- 47:29Speaker 1: is something that's a little a little different and it's
- 47:32Speaker 1: something that you probably would never in a million years
- 47:34Speaker 1: think of. But here at Bigger and Better, where we
- 47:37Speaker 1: make you large and in charge, we actually do some
- 47:40Speaker 1: things that we definitely know you wouldn't have thought of.
- 47:42Speaker 1: So I definitely understand her giving man, what's your name
- 47:47Speaker 1: against Sam Scott? Scott Scott, get to the point what
- 47:51Speaker 1: you're selling. Actually let us know that there's some things
- 47:55Speaker 1: that are really really lacking between you guys, and she
- 48:00Speaker 1: would very much like for her birthday where you can
- 48:02Speaker 1: be a lot more well endowed. So you know that's
- 48:06Speaker 1: what we do here at Bigger and Bad we actually hello,
- 48:09Speaker 1: what I could be more? What? More well endowed? Sure?
- 48:13Speaker 1: So I think really what's going on is Beyonc is
- 48:15Speaker 1: really not satisfied right now. She called you to tell
- 48:19Speaker 1: you that I'm not what you meet, willing doubt my junk.
- 48:22Speaker 1: So you're you're you're you're you're you're inadequate. You know
- 48:25Speaker 1: what I mean. You're you're uh, I guess maybe maybe
- 48:29Speaker 1: very impotent. I'm not sure, But are you kidding me?
- 48:32Speaker 1: What's the name of this companying in Bigger and Better
- 48:36Speaker 1: where we make you larger, in charge? And right now
- 48:39Speaker 1: you know you're not you're not larger in charge, and
- 48:42Speaker 1: we want to get you to that way to come
- 48:43Speaker 1: in for a consultation, your consultation. I'll tell you what.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna call her right now because usually right now, okay,

- 54:33Speaker 1: Subject to blame it on the bourbon or not. Dear
- 54:36Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, my husband and I are both thirty seven
- 54:39Speaker 1: years old, and we moved to my hometown to be
- 54:42Speaker 1: closer to my family. He's a very sociable person, so
- 54:46Speaker 1: it didn't take long for him to make a few
- 54:48Speaker 1: new friends. We hang out with my sister and her
- 54:51Speaker 1: husband and I don't drink at all, but the three
- 54:53Speaker 1: of them do. If we have dinner and drinks at
- 54:56Speaker 1: my sister's house. We might spend the night, depending on
- 54:59Speaker 1: how much he's had to drink. One of our childhood
- 55:02Speaker 1: friends had a birthday party and everyone was drunk. I
- 55:06Speaker 1: even had a couple of glasses of champagne. My husband
- 55:09Speaker 1: went to sleep. As we drove back to my sister's
- 55:12Speaker 1: house for the night, I ran into the house so
- 55:15Speaker 1: I could tinkle, and my sister and brother in law
- 55:18Speaker 1: said they'd get my husband out of the car. When
- 55:21Speaker 1: I got back outside, my sister was bent down on
- 55:25Speaker 1: the back seat, and as I got closer, I could
- 55:28Speaker 1: see that she and my husband were face to face.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I stood there because they were so drunk they didn't
- 55:34Speaker 1: hear me. He was slurring some kind some kind of
- 55:38Speaker 1: affectionate words to her because she said she felt the
- 55:42Speaker 1: same way about him. I stepped up and offered to
- 55:45Speaker 1: help her get out of the carbs and he told
- 55:49Speaker 1: me to go inside because he wanted her to help
- 55:52Speaker 1: him inside into the house. I called for my brother
- 55:57Speaker 1: in law and he was headed toward the car. My
- 56:00Speaker 1: husband told both me and my brother in law that
- 56:04Speaker 1: he only wanted my sister to help him because she
- 56:08Speaker 1: knows how to handle him. He told my sister that
- 56:12Speaker 1: her hands were soft and her lips looked soft too.
- 56:16Speaker 1: My brother in law burst out laughing. But I didn't.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I think my sister was enjoying it. This was an
- 56:23Speaker 1: awkward incident, and I am not okay with it. It's
- 56:27Speaker 1: alcohol a truth seam? Or should I let this go?
- 56:30Speaker 1: Does he really want my huh? Would you say that? Bourbon?
- 56:37Speaker 1: Does he really want my sister? You know, I'm just
- 56:41Speaker 1: surprised that all this happened and and no one got
- 56:46Speaker 1: hurt or anything, you know, not physically or anything. This
- 56:50Speaker 1: is some craziness right here. You ask, is alcohol a
- 56:54Speaker 1: truth ceram? Or should you let it go? Does he
- 56:56Speaker 1: really want your sister? It could be a bit of both,
- 56:59Speaker 1: because yes, he was drunk, and he said out of
- 57:03Speaker 1: his mouth that he wanted He only wanted her to
- 57:06Speaker 1: help him out of the car. He said a few
- 57:08Speaker 1: other things, but he did say that, and you witnessed it,
- 57:11Speaker 1: so did her husband. Yes he was drunk, but he
- 57:15Speaker 1: sounded like he knew exactly what he was saying, and
- 57:18Speaker 1: he wanted your sister. I mean wrong either way, drunk
- 57:22Speaker 1: or sober. The really shocking thing, though, is that her
- 57:26Speaker 1: husband just bursted out laughing when he saw the two
- 57:29Speaker 1: of them. I just can't imagine that there wasn't a
- 57:32Speaker 1: fight immediately, you know, upon seeing this, when your sister
- 57:36Speaker 1: was When your sister's husband saw them in each other's faces,
- 57:41Speaker 1: all he could do was laugh. I don't know. Maybe
- 57:45Speaker 1: brother in law gave him a break because he was
- 57:48Speaker 1: so sloppy drunk at this point. I think the three
- 57:51Speaker 1: of them have a different kind of relationships since they
- 57:54Speaker 1: all hang out and get drunk together. I mean that's
- 57:58Speaker 1: what they do. They hang out, they get drunk. You're there,
- 58:01Speaker 1: but you don't drink, Wifie. But regardless of all of this,
- 58:05Speaker 1: your husband overstepped tonight, and your sister did too. I
- 58:09Speaker 1: mean you did say she was enjoying it. So I
- 58:13Speaker 1: would be mad at both of them and her husband
- 58:16Speaker 1: for laughing and not being mad. I mean, why was
- 58:19Speaker 1: they mad? I don't get that they need to stop
- 58:21Speaker 1: hanging out and drinking together before your sister and your
- 58:24Speaker 1: husband act on whatever these feelings were they were having
- 58:28Speaker 1: this night when he was drunk and whispering to her. Steve.
- 58:34Speaker 1: The subject of this letter is blaming on the bourbon
- 58:38Speaker 1: or not. These three people in this letter is a
- 58:46Speaker 1: clear sign that they have got to switch from brown
- 58:53Speaker 1: liquor to clear liquor. They have got to switch. These
- 59:00Speaker 1: three people have got to stop drinking brown liquor because
- 59:04Speaker 1: it affects them. They are going to have to go
- 59:07Speaker 1: with gen tequila or vocal. They have got to get
- 59:13Speaker 1: out the Brown family. I have seen brown liquor up
- 59:20Speaker 1: close my entire life, and it is not for the
- 59:25Speaker 1: faint of heart. Brown liquor different. I don't know what
- 59:30Speaker 1: it is because I don't drink it like that, but
- 59:32Speaker 1: I do know it's different. And when brown look at
- 59:36Speaker 1: have you doing what these people doing in this letter?
- 59:39Speaker 1: Clearly it is time for them to switch to clear.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Now let me tell you why. Now, you and your
- 59:48Speaker 1: husband thirty seven, they hang out with your sister and
- 59:50Speaker 1: help her husband. They all drank and you don't drink
- 59:54Speaker 1: at all. That we got. That got the biggest problem
- 59:57Speaker 1: right there. Yeah, because you'll never truly understand, truly, you
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: will not understand all the elements of alcoholism not being
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: an alcoholic. Okay, that's fair. One of our childhood friends
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: had a birthday party and at this party everyone was drunk.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Accept this lady writing a letter, what did I tell
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: you when we come back. I'm gonna just walk you
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: through why we have got to all switch to clear alcohol.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: All right, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Subjects of today's strawberry letter blame it on the bourbon
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: or not? Right after this you're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject blame
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: it on the bourbon or not. Now, I'm gonna do
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: this real quick because we're about to do a reenactment.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: This couple of thirty seven they go over her the
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: lady wrote this letter, her and her husband. The thirty
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: seven they go over their sister's house, whose husband and
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: they all drink except her, and they drank bourbon. The
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: moral of this whole story is they have got to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: stop drinking brown liquor because it's not working out for
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: anybody in this group. Right here, everybody drunk the other night.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: And then she said, if we have dinner and drinks
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: at my sister's house, we might spend the night, depending
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: on how much he has had to drink. Then she said,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: one of my childhood friends had a birthday party and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: everybody was drunk. Everybody at the party were drunk except her.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I even made I even had a couple of glasses
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in champagne where you was on your way too, my husband.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: This is how drunk he get. My husband went to sleep.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: As we drove back to my sister's house for the night.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I ran into the house so I could think them
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: because the glass of champagne made you had to pee.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: And my sister and brother in law said they're getting
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: my husband out the car now right there. Two people
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: said they got to go get his ass out to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the car. He dranking too damn much. You when this
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: alcoholic ass husband and yours. When I got back outside,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: my sister was bent down on the back seat, and
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I got closer, I could see she and my husband
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: was face to face. I stood that because they were
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: so drunk they ain't hear me. He was slaring some
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: kind of affectionate words to her because she said she
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: felt the same way about him. I stepped up and
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: offer to help to get out to call. She told me,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: you get your hands back inside, and I don't want
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I want her to help me. Didn't get into the house.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I called my brother in law. He headed towards the car.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: My husband told me and my brother in law they
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: wanted the sisters to help me. She an't handled me.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: He told my sister that her hands were soft and
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: her lips look soft too. You know I drunk? You
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: got to be to say that to your wife? Or
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: do you know how toe down you are right now?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: With her husband watching right? You have no disregard for
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: personal safety future? Alliss right, your marriage, your violes, nothing
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: that damn bourbon. My brother in law bust out, laughing,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: his stupid ass so drunk. This it's the world. I
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: didn't think mine. I don't that. I think my sister
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: was enjoying it. This was an awkward incident and I'm
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: not okay with it. Is alcohol a truth? Sim or
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: should I just let it go? Is alcohol of truth? Sim?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: If you want to find out anything about yourself and
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: anything about how a person feel, ask them when they drunk. Yes,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: it's a truth Sial. Does he really want my sister? Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: And your brother in law don't right? Oh, listen, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: want to kiss you in your nose. Go ahead, you
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: want you? It ain't what you're thinking is now surely.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Here's the re enactment. I'm the drunk dude and you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: the sober wife, and you can ask me anything about
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: this anything. Ready, go honey, what are you doing? Huh?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Come on, it's late, it ain't too late. The TV
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: is on, the TV is not on. We're in the car.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Were in a car and her husband watching something. What
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: were you saying to her? Because she said, she said
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: she felt quiet. She tried to I don't know, you're
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: wait a minute, she said, why as you out here?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Because I'm your wife and I want you to come home.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Let's go in. I'm not going in the house with you.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna go in the house with Huh. We were
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: sleeping out here in No, you're not get up. We're
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I want you and I want you to come in
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the house. Honey, you're drunk. And this is the car,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: not the bad and who drunk? You're drunk. You're drunk,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: very drunk. I'm I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna say
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: it's one more time for you, for you for he listen,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: this is for you for here. No, baby, what are
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you saying to her? I was telling, I was, I
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: was I was hissing I was whispering so sweet. Nothing.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I ain't saying nothing. And what was she saying to you?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Because she said she doesn't say telling you she's sleeping? Baby,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: She's not. Do you realize her husband is right here?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: What's funny you're talking to his wife? Oh I'm not
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: ever love her? Boy? If you don't get your drug
