  I'm thinking today of Genesis 2 .25, and the

  man and his wife were both naked, but they were

  not ashamed. Current things that we are concerned
• 0:10
  about, like that we're always concerned about,
• 0:13
  were not part of the original scene. Clothes,
• 0:17
  appearances, danger, worry, regret, living outside
• 0:22
  God's plan, of course, sin of any kind, and death.
• 0:27
  A lot of things feel like death, but... Even
• 0:30
  death actually is death, and it wasn't part of
• 0:32
  the original scene. Before the fall, they were
• 0:35
  living together, vulnerable, feeling worthy of
• 0:38
  each other's love. They had virtually limitless
• 0:42
  provision. They had God walking with them in
• 0:44
  the coolness of the garden, and they were vulnerable,
• 0:46
  but not weak. From here, it might look like uncivilized
• 0:51
  or pre -development, but the reality is that
• 0:54
  if shame and selfish, wicked behavior come with
• 0:58
  those developments, then we don't actually want
• 1:02
  them. But it's too late now. Unless God should
• 1:06
  deal with them, we are hopelessly stuck. Then
• 1:10
  he did deal with them. He did provide rebirth,
• 1:13
  spiritual healing, and he conquered shame, sin,
• 1:16
  and death. We don't live like we're fallen. We
• 1:20
  are now to live alive in him. Our darkest hours
• 1:26
  are known, our foolishness, wickedness, our shame,
• 1:29
  and he has dealt with it all. While we were yet
• 1:33
  sinners, Christ died for us. We live beyond the
• 1:36
  veil, behind the curtain, inside the bubble,
• 1:39
  and we have already won, though for all practical
• 1:44
  appearances, the battle still rages around us.
