- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and on its Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, okay,
- 2:18Speaker 1: here's what I want to share with you. Stop complaining,
- 2:28Speaker 1: so I head to let you see how I let
- 2:29Speaker 1: that one sit for a second. Stop complaining. Do you
- 2:37Speaker 1: realize without us even thinking about it, oftentimes we just
- 2:44Speaker 1: complain about stuff and it and it comes up in
- 2:50Speaker 1: such subtle forms. Oh man, and believe his clock went
- 2:56Speaker 1: off this morning? Man. I want man, I just want
- 3:02Speaker 1: a little bit more sleep. And I got to get
- 3:07Speaker 1: up going to this job right here. Man, I don't
- 3:12Speaker 1: know why they're still in that lady work there. Man,
- 3:15Speaker 1: they don't fire this woman. Man, I don't know what
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. She driving me crazy. She always got
- 3:21Speaker 1: something to say. I bet to day though, the way
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm feeling right now, I bet she'd bet not say
- 3:30Speaker 1: nothing to me today. Mm hmmm, yeah, yeah, because day
- 3:35Speaker 1: it today it. I'm sick of her running her mouth.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Last time she said something to me, I should have
- 3:43Speaker 1: said something to it. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 3:46Speaker 1: just giving you a small example of how it starts
- 3:49Speaker 1: to snowball. Once you start to complain. It's it just
- 3:56Speaker 1: carries over into so many things. Man, Stop complaining about
- 4:00Speaker 1: your car, Stop complaining about your bus pass, Stop complaining
- 4:04Speaker 1: about your kids can't seem to get it together. Stop
- 4:07Speaker 1: complaining about your man can't seem to get it together.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Stop Have you noticed, I'm just asking, have
- 4:17Speaker 1: you noticed that in all of your complaining, it has
- 4:22Speaker 1: provided not one solution? Oh? May you, Oh you may
- 4:28Speaker 1: get a person to adjust to your complaining for a
- 4:30Speaker 1: little while, but want you once we settle in, we
- 4:35Speaker 1: get right on back to whatever it is. Stop complaining.
- 4:40Speaker 1: The reason I'm telling you to stop complaining because God
- 4:44Speaker 1: is able. Because God is capable. He is capable and
- 4:52Speaker 1: able of fixing anything, Capable and able of curing anything,
- 5:00Speaker 1: Capable and able of allowing you to get too adjusting
- 5:05Speaker 1: to things, and capable and able to strengthen you to
- 5:13Speaker 1: get through and change anything. But the key here is
- 5:20Speaker 1: God is capable, and God is able. A lot of
- 5:24Speaker 1: times I find myself complaining because I have not used
- 5:29Speaker 1: my greatest asset, and that's my relationship with God. You
- 5:33Speaker 1: all have one. Now, you may not have nurtured it,
- 5:36Speaker 1: but you have one because God created you as your
- 5:39Speaker 1: as his child. He's available to you, not the fact
- 5:42Speaker 1: that you ain't went to him. Okay, once again, who
- 5:46Speaker 1: foughts that? Stop complaining until you strengthen your relationship with
- 5:53Speaker 1: God and formulate this relationship. You don't have enough weapons.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You don't have enough bullets, you ain't got enough arrows,
- 6:06Speaker 1: You ain't got a big enough shield to fight this
- 6:09Speaker 1: thing called life. It just keeps coming. Man, And unless
- 6:13Speaker 1: you develop a relationship with God, you need a partner
- 6:16Speaker 1: in all of this. You've got to have a partner, man.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You cannot get through this thing without those this partnership.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, maybe you got another route
- 6:31Speaker 1: you're gonna take. But every successful person I know personally
- 6:39Speaker 1: has a relationship with God. I have some really really
- 6:46Speaker 1: some people that's kind of up there in the success
- 6:49Speaker 1: term in terms of business and money and and and statue.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm just talking about that portion of success. And then
- 6:56Speaker 1: I have a lot of people who are very successful
- 6:59Speaker 1: in in their spiritual life who have become great men
- 7:03Speaker 1: of God and women of God. But look at all
- 7:08Speaker 1: of them, and all of them have substantial amounts of
- 7:11Speaker 1: you know, possessions and things like that. Also, most successful
- 7:18Speaker 1: people I know have that even if you saw him
- 7:22Speaker 1: never with a big lot of house and a lot
- 7:24Speaker 1: of money or stuff like that. They had so much respect,
- 7:29Speaker 1: so much love, so much power was given them from
- 7:34Speaker 1: people that their life life was rich in that area,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you know, like a man Nuther King or something like that,
- 7:43Speaker 1: or Gandhi or somebody who lived their life in service,
- 7:47Speaker 1: or Nelson Mandela who came out and just man, people
- 7:50Speaker 1: put stuff at their feet because of their service. So
- 7:53Speaker 1: all successful people I know have that. Every last one
- 7:56Speaker 1: of these people that I know, they have relationship with God.
- 8:01Speaker 1: They used the tool that was available to them to
- 8:05Speaker 1: give them the strength, the bullets, the arrows, the slings,
- 8:09Speaker 1: the shield to fight this thing called life and have
- 8:13Speaker 1: the most valuable partner right there by the side, they
- 8:15Speaker 1: Heavenly Father God, because he will help you get through
- 8:18Speaker 1: this thing called life. Man, stop complaining so much. Stop
- 8:22Speaker 1: complaining all the time. It's not fixing anything. Why don't
- 8:26Speaker 1: you do yourself a favor and strengthen your relationship with God?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Why don't you do that? You ever thought that that
- 8:31Speaker 1: could be the problem? Man? Why can I never get over?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Well you have not because you asked not. Man, how
- 8:37Speaker 1: come I always got problems? Well, you keep trying to
- 8:40Speaker 1: solve them yourself and taking them to your friends. You
- 8:43Speaker 1: can you keep trying to do them with your own
- 8:45Speaker 1: thought process? Who are you? I keep telling you, Man,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you gotta get it together with God. You gotta quit tripping.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You're going through stuff you ain't got no business going through.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And and if it's you're going through something over and
- 9:00Speaker 1: over and over and over, and the same problem keep
- 9:02Speaker 1: coming back to bite you again. All that's saying is
- 9:08Speaker 1: you still ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship.
- 9:12Speaker 1: He's not gonna make you have one with him. He
- 9:15Speaker 1: is a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life
- 9:18Speaker 1: when you invite him in. He don't buffalo his way in.
- 9:21Speaker 1: That ain't the way he works. But for those who
- 9:24Speaker 1: do invite him men, they have a distinct advantage on
- 9:28Speaker 1: their road to success, a distinct advantage. You can do
- 9:32Speaker 1: it without him. Trust me, you can. How far you get.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I can't promise you nothing, how well you handle it
- 9:40Speaker 1: when you arrived at I can't promise you nothing. How
- 9:43Speaker 1: long you're gonna stay there, I can't promise you nothing.
- 9:48Speaker 1: How difficult it's going to be without him. I can't
- 9:51Speaker 1: give you that. It's going to be far more difficult.
- 9:54Speaker 1: But you can. Something can happen, and you, you know,
- 9:57Speaker 1: receive a measure of success, and you think, is you
- 10:00Speaker 1: and this this move you made, And you can describe
- 10:02Speaker 1: it as I got lucky. I happened to be in
- 10:04Speaker 1: the right place at the right time. I got lucky.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Lucky is usually how other people describe other people's success. Poor,
- 10:13Speaker 1: he was lucky, he was right there. Well, let me
- 10:16Speaker 1: tell you what lucky is. Luck is when hard work
- 10:18Speaker 1: bumps up into opportunity. If you've been working hard at something,
- 10:22Speaker 1: the opportunity presents itself that comes a match that's not luck.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But now, if you haven't done that on a repetitive
- 10:30Speaker 1: enough basis, that opportunity could present itself one time. You
- 10:37Speaker 1: gotta reconnect. Stop complaining, man, come on, listen to me.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Stop complaining. It hasn't fixed a single thing in your life.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And if your chronic complainer, it's because you really really
- 10:47Speaker 1: have not fixed your relationship with God. He's smoothing out
- 10:50Speaker 1: for you. That I can tell you for a fact.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I know that for a fact he smoved mine out.
- 10:55Speaker 1: All right, let's go. You're listening to a ladies and gentlemen, man,
- 11:02Speaker 1: have your attention, please just Steve Harvey Morning Show. Every
- 11:05Speaker 1: day we started off a little bit different. There ain't
- 11:07Speaker 1: gonna be no no different than the rest of them.
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's different. That's already done, done being stated. This is
- 11:15Speaker 1: already different. It's the radio show with real people on
- 11:19Speaker 1: it that talk read self for Sirley. Now, good morning, shre,

- 11:35Speaker 1: in New York. What's she doing in New York? It's
- 11:39Speaker 1: her business? Okay, I'm not putting her business in the streets,
- 11:44Speaker 1: but yeah, it's company business. What company started notifying me?
- 11:51Speaker 1: They probably did have you your million email mails? Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: how many unready emails? Y'all? Y'all think I got off
- 12:00Speaker 1: in the check, right, I mean unread at least five
- 12:07Speaker 1: that's a lot of time. I'm gonna go hiding that
- 12:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna saying. I'm gonna saying at least both down.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna say like five thousand five. Yeah, more than
- 12:19Speaker 1: that for me to screen shoot it and send it
- 12:21Speaker 1: to you. Yeah, come on, I want to see it,
- 12:25Speaker 1: all right, let me get to the other page. Is
- 12:28Speaker 1: it more than three numbers? But wait, he knows how
- 12:31Speaker 1: to screenshot? Do screenshoot? Yeah? I love that time. It's nonsense.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I figured Steve can work his phone. Oh he's here
- 12:39Speaker 1: for yea, Yeah, for the foolishness. Oh yeah, President and CEO.
- 12:48Speaker 1: He got that. Damn no problems. So it's it's got
- 12:53Speaker 1: to be like twenty then. Since you said that people
- 13:00Speaker 1: tripping with you, you ain't returning it, You ain't responding
- 13:04Speaker 1: in nothing good, nothing about you tripping with me? Man?
- 13:09Speaker 1: You just think that bothered me. I don't care about
- 13:14Speaker 1: nobody tripping with me, y'all. Let me know when you
- 13:17Speaker 1: get it, and that's cool because you have to grow
- 13:20Speaker 1: to get there. So that means you've grown Steve's you
- 13:25Speaker 1: have to grow to get to a place where you
- 13:26Speaker 1: don't care you know what people think about you and
- 13:29Speaker 1: what people say about you, they trip about you. Yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 1: you have to grow there. I still but if I
- 13:35Speaker 1: hear you know, I still do something that's gonna take
- 13:39Speaker 1: a little longer. I don't have it yet, but anyway,
- 13:44Speaker 1: it's a lot I know. Right. I ain't even gonna
- 13:48Speaker 1: tell you till they come through because I don't want
- 13:50Speaker 1: to think I'm lying. Right, what I'm waiting on did
- 13:57Speaker 1: you send thank you? Which? See I sent it, but
- 14:03Speaker 1: no one of another one of us had It's the
- 14:07Speaker 1: green line is oh no, no, we don't have it yet.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Surely does a reason why he don't respond? Yeah, right,
- 14:20Speaker 1: remember when remember when turning to say it's thanking, he's think,
- 14:25Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. That's what I was. Alright, coming up,
- 14:32Speaker 1: we have something funny. Tommy and Junior in the building

- 16:37Speaker 1: of all time, right dere VHS to me, that's better
- 16:41Speaker 1: than DVD. That's when you go back when the movie
- 16:44Speaker 1: meant something. When you went to blockbusting, picked up your
- 16:47Speaker 1: tape popping in, and then you had to get it
- 16:50Speaker 1: back the next day. You got two days. I was
- 16:54Speaker 1: always late with that tape. I actually bought more tape
- 16:58Speaker 1: that I had. Pandora stole this idea. Pandora already stole
- 17:04Speaker 1: this act. I really do wish I had a tape
- 17:07Speaker 1: record so I could just take my song. I don't
- 17:10Speaker 1: have to heat the commercial. Pandora come in after every
- 17:13Speaker 1: second song. They got something they want to say. Man,
- 17:16Speaker 1: just play this the ten songs a row I want
- 17:18Speaker 1: to hear. Yes, I don't have time. I'm not interested
- 17:21Speaker 1: in socks, shirts, shot past belts. I don't want to.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I just want to get to Joda sit fading after that,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I want to get to some Luther. I don't really
- 17:32Speaker 1: think you had a table card your policy. Let him
- 17:34Speaker 1: get that, then play. That's all I want to get
- 17:37Speaker 1: back to. All Right, let's go. I don't I don't
- 17:41Speaker 1: have it. I'll never have it again. But if I
- 17:44Speaker 1: could just have a nice afrow and putting my putting
- 17:47Speaker 1: my rake in it with the fists on it, and
- 17:49Speaker 1: walk around like that, if I could do that for
- 17:51Speaker 1: a day over, I know that if I could have it,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'd wear me a nice throw with a pick in it,
- 18:01Speaker 1: with the fists on the top of it. Get a
- 18:04Speaker 1: man weave. That's all you have to do. You can
- 18:06Speaker 1: do that. Man live in Baltimore. I got a flap
- 18:09Speaker 1: there and get it. I'm already called it. He live
- 18:11Speaker 1: in Baltimore. He lived in Baltimore. The voice code, what

- 22:56Speaker 1: you came out of the bathroom without washing your hands,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and which First of all, you need to be calling
- 23:01Speaker 1: the corporate headquarters if you gotta complaint, or you call

- 26:53Speaker 1: your co workers? Man? You man see man, y'all got me? Man,
- 26:59Speaker 1: I'm like six in the mall. I got something for her.
- 27:02Speaker 1: She's gonna have to watch her back every hour, every
- 27:06Speaker 1: hour on the hour. I got something for her. I
- 27:08Speaker 1: ain't gonna hurd of, but I'm definitely gonna do it
- 27:10Speaker 1: in tomorrow. Believe that well you read it. Oh, I

- 27:36Speaker 1: subway right now. You might. You might get jumped over
- 27:40Speaker 1: running it out. Oh my god. All right, nephew, thank you,
- 27:45Speaker 1: thank you, thank you hip hop. Yes, Steve, I was
- 27:48Speaker 1: wondering if you're gonna say something, yes, excuse me, yes,
- 27:54Speaker 1: you got to do the prank. Yeah, that's me. Good
- 27:58Speaker 1: You Tommy, I am Tommy. What can I do for you?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Hand clap? Yeah? Oh it's coming, Yeah, it's coming. It
- 28:13Speaker 1: ain't coming, all right? You think it's coming? Do you think?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Whoa hol Hercle Hercules, Hercules, Amazing Grace Conservatory presents Hercules.
- 28:25Speaker 1: That's my girl. Wendy rock Hall Robinson host Yours Truly
- 28:28Speaker 1: Sunday May. Yeah, as we told you yesterday it was
- 28:36Speaker 1: sathing you were thinking of seven thirty Sunday night. I'm
- 28:41Speaker 1: hosting it. Come hang out with me. It is Hercules.
- 28:44Speaker 1: It is at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center. That's
- 28:48Speaker 1: Nate Holden Performing Arts Center, Los Angeles, California, eighteen West Washington.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I could be hurt. I'm not hurt, but I could
- 28:59Speaker 1: be hurt. You could play herculegue. Well, do you think
- 29:04Speaker 1: I can play Hercley with your shirt off? Yeah? Man,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I just got the vision? Man with your shirt off? Shirley,
- 29:17Speaker 1: what's so dug gonna finnhing? Nothing? What's that fun? Nothing?

- 29:33Speaker 1: you just had pupplic I could play hercles, Thank you.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I can play herclegue. Okay, all right? But did she
- 29:48Speaker 1: ask you to play it? Or did she ask She
- 29:50Speaker 1: didn't ask me to play her She asked me the host. Well,
- 29:54Speaker 1: he could play Hercules if we was talking about Hercules
- 29:57Speaker 1: as the strong baby. Look at alright, guys, we gotta
- 30:05Speaker 1: get out of here. Coming up at the top of
- 30:07Speaker 1: the our Entertainment News, Cardi B explains the fight in
- 30:11Speaker 1: the Mall footage that we all saw over the weekend. Okay,
- 30:14Speaker 1: fight yeah, pregnant? Yeah, what's your point? You're listening to
- 30:21Speaker 1: the Steve alright? Coming up in twenty minutes, we will
- 30:27Speaker 1: discuss is it okay to post a picture of your
- 30:30Speaker 1: ex on social media. Well we'll talk about that, but
- 30:34Speaker 1: right now, today's entertainment news. Pregnant women are supposed to,
- 30:37Speaker 1: you know, try and stay stress free during that time
- 30:40Speaker 1: of the month. So you know that won't transmit trans
- 30:44Speaker 1: late into the baby. You know, the baby won't pick
- 30:46Speaker 1: up on that. But Cardi B keeps getting into drama.
- 30:50Speaker 1: She just keeps getting into drama. Not always her fault, though.
- 30:53Speaker 1: She was doing a little shopping at a Las Vegas
- 30:56Speaker 1: mall recently when she got into it with an over
- 30:59Speaker 1: zealous fan. After footage of a verbal altercation hit the internet.
- 31:03Speaker 1: See it was verbal, guys, and not physical, the woman
- 31:05Speaker 1: featured in the video spoke out. Her name was Lolita
- 31:08Speaker 1: Beckford Hawkins. She said she bumped into Cardi B outside
- 31:11Speaker 1: the Fendi store and asked for a picture. Cardi ignored
- 31:14Speaker 1: her request, so Lolita yelled, f Cardi, you ain't nothing.
- 31:18Speaker 1: That's what the woman yelled out, right, Okay, so listen.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Cardie explained to her that she didn't want to take
- 31:27Speaker 1: a picture because she didn't like how she looked that day. Okay,
- 31:31Speaker 1: But Lolita felt Cardi was acting fake and only gave
- 31:34Speaker 1: her the time of day. After she turned up, Cardi
- 31:38Speaker 1: B went on Twitter to address the footage. She wrote,
- 31:41Speaker 1: I walked all the way to the store and they
- 31:43Speaker 1: still follow me, trying to argue with me if I
- 31:46Speaker 1: respectfully told you I don't want to take a picture
- 31:49Speaker 1: of your drunk but drunk a You know what she said,
- 31:53Speaker 1: You shouldn't get close to me and disrespect my decision,
- 31:57Speaker 1: space or privacy. That's what Curdie B said. Okay, well, look,
- 32:02Speaker 1: Cardi B is one thousand percent correct for two with you,
- 32:06Speaker 1: Steve right here for two. No, I mean you know,
- 32:10Speaker 1: first of all, this is a woman asking another woman
- 32:13Speaker 1: for a picture. Now, women don't like taking pictures if
- 32:16Speaker 1: they ain't on points. Now, just because you want a
- 32:19Speaker 1: picture from a celebrity does not mean that that celebrity
- 32:22Speaker 1: has to oblige. But now after she tells you kindly no,
- 32:27Speaker 1: I'm not up to taking pictures today, I'm not on
- 32:29Speaker 1: a picture to day, f Cardi B. Card B ain't
- 32:33Speaker 1: blank for what's really man? No, man, the woman has
- 32:38Speaker 1: the right. See that's that's what makes it so difficult.
- 32:42Speaker 1: And then you know you stuck up, you thank you
- 32:44Speaker 1: all that. Wait a minute, hold up, she don't think
- 32:47Speaker 1: she nothing. She was in the mall minding her business.
- 32:50Speaker 1: She didn't go to the mall and say, CARDI b
- 32:52Speaker 1: gonna be in the Vegas mall taking pictures today, and
- 32:55Speaker 1: then y'all got on there. She said, no, right, and
- 32:59Speaker 1: Curdie Steve said, I always take pictures with fans. If
- 33:03Speaker 1: I don't have no makeup, I'm in a rush, or
- 33:06Speaker 1: if I'm not in the mood, I'm not obligated. And
- 33:08Speaker 1: not everybody is your fan. Clearly that's what Cardie said,
- 33:12Speaker 1: and she wasn't a fan because she turned on her
- 33:15Speaker 1: so quickly. If a person don't give you a picture,
- 33:18Speaker 1: and all of a sudden you hate him for that,
- 33:20Speaker 1: something wrong with you. Something is wrong with you, and
- 33:24Speaker 1: you've experienced that a lot. Steve man out of head
- 33:28Speaker 1: it so many times. I can't even tell you because
- 33:30Speaker 1: it's just that I had I've been accused. He just
- 33:33Speaker 1: ignored me. I don't hear you, right? How about that?
- 33:38Speaker 1: He didn't even speak to me. I didn't see you
- 33:42Speaker 1: because you're focused on where you gotta go. Where you're going. Yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 1: I get I got a phone call, I got people
- 33:48Speaker 1: standing around me. It's so difficult man to try to
- 33:53Speaker 1: have to be something for everybody when they wanted when
- 33:56Speaker 1: you didn't come that for that right, and after the
- 33:59Speaker 1: show was with, I'm doing a meet and greet. I'll
- 34:02Speaker 1: take pictures with everybody in line. Take the picture, we
- 34:05Speaker 1: shake the hand. We keep it moving. They know how
- 34:08Speaker 1: to work their cameras and a lot of them don't,
- 34:11Speaker 1: and a lot of them don't. So I help people.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So what I do is you give your camera to
- 34:17Speaker 1: my guy with it on shoot. He take it handed
- 34:22Speaker 1: to you, You walk off. That's how we do it. No,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you ain't got it. And if your camera ain't ready
- 34:27Speaker 1: when you get to him, you're going go on to
- 34:29Speaker 1: the next person in line, and we keep it moving.
- 34:32Speaker 1: And that's that's all you can do with people after that. Man,
- 34:35Speaker 1: come all right, Steve, take us to Mrsan please, ladies
- 34:41Speaker 1: and gentleman, missaying Trup. Thanks Steve. Good morning everybody out there.
- 34:45Speaker 1: This is a trip for the news. They send. An
- 34:47Speaker 1: intelligence committee says it finds nothing wrong with last year's
- 34:50Speaker 1: conclusion by the U. S Intelligence Agency said Russia interfered
- 34:53Speaker 1: with the last presidential election with the express purpose of
- 34:56Speaker 1: helping Donald Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton. Republican led Committee
- 34:59Speaker 1: made that an ehouncement after a closed door meeting ended
- 35:02Speaker 1: with three Obama administration intelligence chiefs not the investigation, led
- 35:05Speaker 1: by House Republicans criticized the Intelligence Community Committee conclusions, claiming
- 35:11Speaker 1: that they failed to meet analytical stands, but again the
- 35:14Speaker 1: Senate Republicans disagree with that. President Trump is now acknowledging
- 35:18Speaker 1: the fact that he paid his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen
- 35:20Speaker 1: more than a hundred thousand dollars bucks last year, reimbursing
- 35:23Speaker 1: Cohen for the hush money he paid out to Pourin
- 35:26Speaker 1: star Stormy Daniels just before the twentie election to keep
- 35:29Speaker 1: her from talking about the affair they had. Meanwhile, the
- 35:32Speaker 1: President's urging the US Justice Department looking to goings on
- 35:35Speaker 1: in Oakland, California, considered a sanctuary city for illegalstruction of justice.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I would recommend that you look into obstruction of justice
- 35:45Speaker 1: for the mayor of Oakland, California. Trump claims that Oakland's Mayor,
- 35:49Speaker 1: Libby Schaff may have broken the law by allegedly tipping
- 35:52Speaker 1: off residents about a plan immigration and customs enforcement operation
- 35:56Speaker 1: in the Bay Area. Thousand teachers took to the streets
- 35:59Speaker 1: of Raley, North Carolina yesterday to demand highest salaries and
- 36:02Speaker 1: more funding for public schools as state legislators begin their
- 36:06Speaker 1: annual budget season. By the way, North Carolina is a
- 36:08Speaker 1: sixth state where teachers have walked out this year and
- 36:11Speaker 1: demonstrated for more money for schools and salaries. Hundreds of
- 36:14Speaker 1: the young women and girls who say they were abused
- 36:16Speaker 1: by the now incarcerated former sports doctor Larry Nasser with
- 36:20Speaker 1: Michigan State University. They've gotten a five hundred million dollars
- 36:24Speaker 1: settlement to share that was the nassa's employee of Michigan State.
- 36:27Speaker 1: The deal does not reportedly include nondisclosure or confidentiality agreements.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Nari Nasa Course sentenced to hundreds of years behind bars.
- 36:36Speaker 1: The U Supreme Court struck down the law that makes
- 36:38Speaker 1: sports betting illegal in most states. Megan Markle's father underwent
- 36:42Speaker 1: a cardiac operation yesterday, where it is everything went well
- 36:46Speaker 1: and that he's recuperating. Wedding course is. Wedding is Saturday,
- 36:50Speaker 1: and by the way, her half siblings are not winning
- 36:52Speaker 1: any brownie points from the public over the way they've
- 36:55Speaker 1: been acting. Their father reportedly says that's why he got
- 36:58Speaker 1: so sick. Us has vote to Retainey Obama Administration's net
- 37:03Speaker 1: neutrality rules. But the House and they're not even going
- 37:05Speaker 1: to discuss it. So that's gonna change anything. But today
- 37:08Speaker 1: is international. Sink about your money, dad. Everybody needs money.
- 37:12Speaker 1: That's why they call it money exactly. Being back with
- 37:16Speaker 1: more entertainment in today's trending topics. Twenty minutes after the
- 37:18Speaker 1: hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 37:21Speaker 1: the sty Show. All right, this is a story from
- 37:25Speaker 1: our home station in New York City. One of seven
- 37:28Speaker 1: point five w BLS Instagram's page. Will Smith x Sherry Fletcher.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Uh beautiful, beautiful woman posted a throwback picture of her
- 37:38Speaker 1: Will and their son when he was a baby. She
- 37:41Speaker 1: got a lot a lot of comments saying it was
- 37:44Speaker 1: inappropriate for her to do that. So the question is
- 37:48Speaker 1: is it okay for an ex to post a throwback picture,
- 37:52Speaker 1: especially when you and your partner have moved on. Now
- 37:55Speaker 1: he's married to Jada Pinkett Smith, they have two kids together.
- 37:58Speaker 1: He's in a you know, he's in a whole new space.
- 38:00Speaker 1: You're in a whole new space. Why are you posting,
- 38:03Speaker 1: you know, old pictures of when you guys were families.
- 38:06Speaker 1: That's what people are saying they thought it was inappropriate
- 38:08Speaker 1: for her to do that. Steve, Yeah, you know. I mean,
- 38:14Speaker 1: you know you got a million throwback pictures. Yeah, I agree.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Keep it to yourself. I mean I think it's a
- 38:21Speaker 1: bit disrespectful, you know, keep it to yourself. You don't
- 38:24Speaker 1: have to post it for the world to see. M h.
- 38:27Speaker 1: But you ought to be ad at least keep all
- 38:29Speaker 1: your naked pictures to yourself. You ought to be at
- 38:32Speaker 1: least growed to a see them when you're want to
- 38:34Speaker 1: old friends. You know what I'm saying. I mean, if
- 38:38Speaker 1: you can't have an leash, you'll be looking, don't you think, Yeah,
- 38:43Speaker 1: I think so. Yeah, I agree with you for really
- 38:50Speaker 1: he agrees with us. Steve, don't don't post it, Yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 1: I just I just don't think you should post it
- 38:56Speaker 1: and make it public because it could make you know,
- 38:59Speaker 1: Jaya feel some kind of way, or the kids feel
- 39:01Speaker 1: some kind of way. You know, it could it could
- 39:04Speaker 1: happen like that, and you set yourself up for all
- 39:07Speaker 1: kinds of negative comments. Can you show them to people?
- 39:09Speaker 1: Can you just show them you like this is well,
- 39:11Speaker 1: I mean that's not a public forum. You know. You
- 39:14Speaker 1: could do with the pictures whatever you want I just say,
- 39:16Speaker 1: don't put don't post him publicly. I just want to
- 39:18Speaker 1: say that this is what we back in the day.
- 39:24Speaker 1: That's not gonna happen. But he's not that stupid. You
- 39:31Speaker 1: beg to different with me, Steve Temmy. You know you
- 39:36Speaker 1: can't do that, right What Junior just said, tell your
- 39:41Speaker 1: naked pictures to your current wife. No, okay, that is
- 39:47Speaker 1: sound convince at all at all. She run across something
- 39:54Speaker 1: in my phone, and I'm gonna say, Junior just said that. Oh,
- 39:58Speaker 1: You're gonna blame it on Junior. Hey, oh yeah, he
- 40:01Speaker 1: gonna have to take the right. Yeah, the boy code.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I forgot about the boys code. Ye. All right, Well
- 40:20Speaker 1: you can hit us up on all social media. Steve
- 40:22Speaker 1: Harvey f M and comment. Coming up next, Oprah Winfrey
- 40:26Speaker 1: tells the University of California graduates to pick a problem
- 40:30Speaker 1: and do something. We'll talk about that at thirty four
- 40:33Speaker 1: after the hour you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Oprah Winfrey UH delivered a powerful, powerful speech that called
- 40:42Speaker 1: on USC and Berg School of Communication graduates to seek
- 40:46Speaker 1: truth and help others. Oprah offered practical advice, She shared
- 40:51Speaker 1: personal anecdotes and challenge students to take real world problems.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Take a listen, let me tell you something about the truth.
- 40:58Speaker 1: The truth exonerates, and it convicts, It disinfects, and it galvanizes.
- 41:07Speaker 1: The truth has always been and will always be, our
- 41:12Speaker 1: shield against corruption, our shield against greed and despair. The
- 41:16Speaker 1: truth is our saving grace. And not only are you
- 41:21Speaker 1: here usc Ninburgh to tell it, to write it, to
- 41:26Speaker 1: proclaim it, to speak it, but to be it. Be
- 41:31Speaker 1: the truth, be the truth. Pick a problem, any problem,
- 41:38Speaker 1: and do something about it, because to somebody who's hurting
- 41:44Speaker 1: something is everything. Wow. Oprah and her speeches, hush, Steve,
- 41:50Speaker 1: She's been getting better and better and better, I mean
- 41:53Speaker 1: just more powerful truth. Wow. What do you think? She
- 42:00Speaker 1: spoke for more than twenty minutes, and she quoted the
- 42:02Speaker 1: likes of Maya Angelou, Michelle Obama, and Albert Einstein. He
- 42:07Speaker 1: urge graduates to use their degrees to find the truth.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Of course, we heard to say that challenge cynicism and
- 42:13Speaker 1: use their gifts to tell their stories that make the
- 42:15Speaker 1: world a better, brighter, and more just place. So there
- 42:19Speaker 1: you go. Ever, since the Golden Globes, though, remember after
- 42:22Speaker 1: her speech with the Golden Globes they were saying she
- 42:23Speaker 1: should run for president. You know, go ahead. I was
- 42:26Speaker 1: listening to her speech at open got me, I got
- 42:29Speaker 1: up my speech game. Really yeah, yeah, I gotta up
- 42:32Speaker 1: my speech gag. Yeah. I mean I like that she's
- 42:37Speaker 1: giving so many great speeches lately. I mean when when
- 42:41Speaker 1: she gave the one at the Golden Gloves Golden Globes,
- 42:43Speaker 1: they said Golden Gloves, two entirely different speeches the boxing match.
- 42:50Speaker 1: But you yeah, they wanted her to run for president. Okay,
- 42:56Speaker 1: she don't need to do that. She didn't know was
- 42:59Speaker 1: way more effective if what I learned. What I learned
- 43:04Speaker 1: is that the government, man is it's a game that
- 43:06Speaker 1: I'm unable to plays, no man, because it's all political.
- 43:13Speaker 1: If it's not a if it's not a bipartisan idea
- 43:16Speaker 1: to help, it's not gonna go down. Those are really hard,
- 43:21Speaker 1: it seems lately. If they can come up with the
- 43:27Speaker 1: way to hurt somebody, then it don't have to be bipartisans.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Whoever got the majority vote can go on with the hurt.
- 43:35Speaker 1: For example, they have not signed over the deal for
- 43:39Speaker 1: these Doccer kids to stay here. That's the Republicans doing that,
- 43:44Speaker 1: and they're not gonna sign it because they use them
- 43:46Speaker 1: kids as a political toy in this hole. Yeah, and
- 43:50Speaker 1: then after they said they would sign it, that's what
- 43:53Speaker 1: you know, because they found out that they could hold
- 43:55Speaker 1: it over the Democrats head that was supposed to have
- 43:59Speaker 1: been and done this, and they change their minds. So
- 44:03Speaker 1: they don't want to help us with housing unless it's
- 44:07Speaker 1: a bipartisan decision. And they still want to destroy President
- 44:11Speaker 1: Obama's legacy as well. But here's the thing, they are
- 44:18Speaker 1: doing it the wrong way. They don't understand it. They think,
- 44:22Speaker 1: simply put, by destroying his legacy, it makes theirs appear
- 44:26Speaker 1: to be greater, and it doesn't. All you're doing is
- 44:30Speaker 1: hurting people. All you're doing is trying to undo what's
- 44:34Speaker 1: been good for a lot of people. And now you
- 44:36Speaker 1: want them to look at you like, wow, he's better
- 44:41Speaker 1: than Obama. No man, No, Dr Field said it best.
- 44:47Speaker 1: You can't blowing blowing out my candle ain't gonna make
- 44:50Speaker 1: yours brighter. Donald Trump's White House politics will not be
- 44:55Speaker 1: better because he destroys Obama's. It won't be. It's just
- 45:01Speaker 1: not man. We're in a real crazy situation. I'm done
- 45:04Speaker 1: with politics. I tell you my new party is that
- 45:07Speaker 1: I Rep. DEM. What my new political party is that
- 45:12Speaker 1: I Rep. DEM. I'm an independent Republican. Nobody else just
- 45:20Speaker 1: called you. That's right, all right, nephew, Tommy is coming
- 45:26Speaker 1: up with his prank phone call. That's right after this.
- 45:29Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show coming up at the
- 45:33Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
- 45:36Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. Subject my freaky friend and his wacky wife. Yeah,
- 45:44Speaker 1: your wife? Wha, yeah that that that That's not a
- 45:48Speaker 1: word I want to describe my damn wife wacky. Yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 1: my freaky friend and his wacky wife. That is a subject.
- 45:54Speaker 1: But right way, right now. Who wants to marry a
- 46:00Speaker 1: woman that's quack? No? That what a woman wants to
- 46:03Speaker 1: marry a man that's quacking? Alright? Uh, you're here with
- 46:08Speaker 1: your prank phone call? What you got yo? Does h like?
- 46:12Speaker 1: Does like doors? Running? Hello? Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 46:21Speaker 1: a Mr. Paul Please call Virginia Senior, probably senior. Okay,
- 46:26Speaker 1: this is man. How are you doing to that? I'm good,
- 46:28Speaker 1: I'm good. Listen. My name is Mark. I'm actually calling
- 46:30Speaker 1: from a company called Doors. Are you? Are you a
- 46:34Speaker 1: good court? Correct? You guys? Just built that home. Right, Yeah,
- 46:38Speaker 1: I'm like I said, my name is Mark Stevens. I'm
- 46:40Speaker 1: actually calling from doors. We're actually the company that uh
- 46:44Speaker 1: supplied the doors that are actually throughout your house. Okay, great,
- 46:49Speaker 1: what are you calling from? A follow up? No, this
- 46:51Speaker 1: isn't a follow up. Actually, we've got a couple of
- 46:53Speaker 1: glitches we want to try and get get straighten out
- 46:55Speaker 1: if we could find uh, well, here's here's the problem, sir.
- 46:58Speaker 1: The problem we're having is at the tractor that actually
- 47:01Speaker 1: built you alls home has not paid for the doors.
- 47:06Speaker 1: You guys have been there two and a half months,
- 47:08Speaker 1: and uh we we can't seem to get the contractor
- 47:11Speaker 1: to come in and pay for the doors. Try to
- 47:14Speaker 1: call them. We tried to call them several times and
- 47:17Speaker 1: we have not been able to get number. The yev
- 47:19Speaker 1: on him because you have a good number, to give
- 47:21Speaker 1: you a number, because uh, I really don't have anything
- 47:24Speaker 1: to do with that in fact, to get my number. Well,
- 47:27Speaker 1: actually we had your number of files as the homeowner
- 47:29Speaker 1: and that's pretty much how we had you. But the
- 47:32Speaker 1: problem we're facing here, sir, is we tried to get
- 47:34Speaker 1: this guy for the last couple of months and we
- 47:37Speaker 1: can't get him. So, Actually, what's what's gonna happen here
- 47:40Speaker 1: in the next day or so is we're probably gonna
- 47:43Speaker 1: have to come and get all the doors. O ways
- 47:45Speaker 1: can do what? We're probably gonna have to come and
- 47:47Speaker 1: get all the doors in your house, take them off
- 47:51Speaker 1: and bring them back here to the plant until we
- 47:53Speaker 1: get get out of my doors. We're gonna have to
- 47:56Speaker 1: get those doors until either we get a contractor or
- 47:59Speaker 1: you know, we get paid for the doors. Now, what
- 48:01Speaker 1: could happen is you could pay for the doors. No, no, no,
- 48:03Speaker 1: already paid for the doors. That's that's that's past tense.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I've done that paid. You say't paying? That means I
- 48:10Speaker 1: got a double back. Well, sir, we haven't been paid,
- 48:13Speaker 1: sir for the doors as well. No, no, no, the
- 48:14Speaker 1: contractor was paid for the doors. That's who paid you. Okay,
- 48:19Speaker 1: And what I'm trying to explain to you, sir, we
- 48:21Speaker 1: haven't been paid at all here at doors, not at all?
- 48:26Speaker 1: Oh okay, well at doing they should have received a
- 48:30Speaker 1: check from my contract and you, sir, is that that
- 48:34Speaker 1: hasn't been done. Since you have not been paid, You're
- 48:36Speaker 1: gonna come back and get my doors out? You said,
- 48:38Speaker 1: we now who's all this you do? And who are
- 48:40Speaker 1: they gonna come? Here's the problem here? Like, no, no,
- 48:43Speaker 1: the ain't no problems. We're gonna we're gonna resolve this
- 48:45Speaker 1: very peacefully. But who who is we? Okay, So what's
- 48:48Speaker 1: taking place here? My job is they've taken this money
- 48:51Speaker 1: out of my check that hasn't been paid for the doors.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Oh yes, I can't understand that. But why would they
- 48:57Speaker 1: take it out your check? He did? The man out
- 48:58Speaker 1: was you? You've done your word? But I don't understanding, sir.
- 49:02Speaker 1: But since the company hasn't been paid, the company is
- 49:04Speaker 1: taking it out on me and it's not gonna come
- 49:06Speaker 1: down on me. So either I'm gonna get the doors,
- 49:09Speaker 1: well you need to quit your job because then because
- 49:11Speaker 1: they need to give you a not just give you
- 49:13Speaker 1: a bonus, but give you some only word because bottom
- 49:15Speaker 1: line is you're talking about coming to get my doors.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Now that's not gonna happen. Either we resolved this peacefully
- 49:21Speaker 1: as if you paid for it, or I come out
- 49:24Speaker 1: and get the doors and I'm not fin the city
- 49:25Speaker 1: and go back. You need to go in and come
- 49:28Speaker 1: get these doors. Gas up and come get these doors,
- 49:30Speaker 1: because you're not gonna come and get I'm not gonna
- 49:32Speaker 1: send you no money, okay, sir. Then then then what
- 49:35Speaker 1: we need to do is get a schedule time where
- 49:36Speaker 1: I can come out and get all the doors on
- 49:38Speaker 1: your time. I'm sorry, I'm on your time now, so
- 49:41Speaker 1: you got you must be paying me. Not since I'm
- 49:43Speaker 1: on your time, what are you talking about? Because you're
- 49:45Speaker 1: talking about you're gonna set up a time with me.
- 49:48Speaker 1: That means I have to leave and do what I
- 49:50Speaker 1: do to be met you here to get something don't
- 49:52Speaker 1: belong to you, which is my door, so you don't
- 49:54Speaker 1: have to be there at all, because I'm gonna I'm
- 49:56Speaker 1: gonna come here and take the front door off, and
- 49:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep keep moving through the honest and get
- 50:00Speaker 1: all the doors and get them back here to the player.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I don't think you hear yourself now first and almost
- 50:05Speaker 1: how you when you come to the front door, I'm
- 50:07Speaker 1: gonna be without waiting on you as you as you
- 50:09Speaker 1: taking off that I'm gonna be on you behind making
- 50:12Speaker 1: sure you realize you're gonna have to take this dough
- 50:14Speaker 1: or take this and I'm taking I'm pretty show from
- 50:17Speaker 1: coming to you need get that first door, so I
- 50:19Speaker 1: can't keep going back and forth with you. Let me
- 50:21Speaker 1: say this to you. I'm coming to get them doors,
- 50:23Speaker 1: even if I got to take a because I gotta
- 50:25Speaker 1: get my money back from the company that they have
- 50:27Speaker 1: took from me because some damn contractors did not pay
- 50:30Speaker 1: for the damn doors. Hey, you better. Hey, bringing your
- 50:33Speaker 1: turned down when you talk to me. You're talking to him. Man,
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna pet this on you. I'm not
- 50:38Speaker 1: gonna allowing you to come to my hearts and take
- 50:40Speaker 1: these damn doors and you ain't coming to getting no money.
- 50:43Speaker 1: But I'm coming to get them doors that I'm coming
- 50:45Speaker 1: to get them today. I need every low. What time
- 50:48Speaker 1: you're coming, tom Are you prepaid when you come back
- 50:51Speaker 1: with these doors? Because I make so. Please what time
- 50:54Speaker 1: you're coming. Don't don't worry about when I'm coming. You
- 50:56Speaker 1: don't know what I'm there. When I take the first
- 50:58Speaker 1: dough off the heads everything, we're gonna meet at that
- 51:01Speaker 1: door and who that and tell you what I'm gonna
- 51:04Speaker 1: pay you. I'm playing dollar pipp Now take that checking
- 51:07Speaker 1: and they kiss that inside. Whooping a night. I'm gonna
- 51:10Speaker 1: take that, hope. But if that's what they take. But
- 51:11Speaker 1: I gotta take this door. You want to get my money?
- 51:13Speaker 1: I mean, do next time, get your damn money. Stop.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Get a job that pays you better for this women,
- 51:20Speaker 1: you're gonna get it in fed well, I'm not sure.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I'm not gonna keep going back and forth with you
- 51:24Speaker 1: about you whooping by any more. That in the end,
- 51:27Speaker 1: right take that moment and take it on hand. Tap.
- 51:30Speaker 1: But I'm bringing them doing every door that I you
- 51:35Speaker 1: should have been calling a contract killing doing some though
- 51:39Speaker 1: from from my damn Come on, I tell you what

- 51:44Speaker 1: get hippy dough. You got in that? How may I

- 52:18Speaker 1: Come get these doors? There. That ain't really who I am?
- 52:23Speaker 1: Who are you? I am nephew Tommy from the Steve
- 52:27Speaker 1: Harby Morning Show. You just got prank phone called by
- 52:31Speaker 1: your wife, Fae. That's why I shot raining damn number.
- 52:37Speaker 1: You know I'm getting it out your down sails. Oh brother,
- 52:41Speaker 1: you got me. You know I'm a ummer typical negro.
- 52:43Speaker 1: I got with the red door. You know who can
- 52:45Speaker 1: do the red doors? You're doing something. Hey man, I
- 52:49Speaker 1: gotta ask you, man, Paul, what is what is the
- 52:52Speaker 1: baddest And I'm talking about the baddest radio show in
- 52:55Speaker 1: the land. Oh the show because I was just praying
- 53:02Speaker 1: man fate on braining number now, but his moving so
- 53:06Speaker 1: I'm thinking they're looking forward, but they him. I love.
- 53:14Speaker 1: That's one of my favorite. Yes, that's one of my
- 53:17Speaker 1: favorites to right. That was really really good. But you've

- 55:31Speaker 1: your letters. We're here to help. We are. Come on,
- 55:34Speaker 1: buckle Upberry letter subject my freaky friend and his wacky wife.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Here's Stephen Shirley. I'm still best friends with my high
- 55:45Speaker 1: school sweetheart. He's happily married now, and his wife and
- 55:48Speaker 1: I are good friends too. Here's my problem. For the
- 55:51Speaker 1: past couple of weeks, he's been making a lot of
- 55:54Speaker 1: inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to me. I always
- 55:58Speaker 1: politely tell him that he needs to say those things
- 56:01Speaker 1: to his wife. I don't need any issues in my life,
- 56:05Speaker 1: So I told his wife that he was making me uncomfortable.
- 56:09Speaker 1: This half of said, well, you know you're his first love,
- 56:12Speaker 1: so you should take those comments as compliments. You heard me, uh,
- 56:18Speaker 1: he told she told his wife that her husband was
- 56:21Speaker 1: making her feel uncomfortable. The friend did so the friends said.
- 56:26Speaker 1: She called the wife a helf, and she said this
- 56:28Speaker 1: HELFI said, well, you know you're his first love, so
- 56:31Speaker 1: you should take those comments as compliments. That's what what
- 56:34Speaker 1: her best friend's wife said. She said, Um, I had
- 56:37Speaker 1: to do a lot of praying after talking to this woman.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Since then, it's gotten worse. He just came out and
- 56:43Speaker 1: told me that he and his wife don't have sex anymore.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I stopped the conversation and told him that he needs
- 56:48Speaker 1: to call one of his male friends because I could
- 56:50Speaker 1: not help him. We didn't talk for a few days
- 56:53Speaker 1: after that. And yes, yes, you hear it, Yes, we
- 56:59Speaker 1: didn't talk were a couple of days after that, and
- 57:01Speaker 1: I started to feel guilty like I had let my
- 57:04Speaker 1: friend down when he really needed a true friend to
- 57:06Speaker 1: talk to. So I called him and apologized and told
- 57:11Speaker 1: him that he was welcome to come to my house
- 57:13Speaker 1: so we could talk. This fool had the nerve to
- 57:17Speaker 1: ask me if I could be naked when he got there,
- 57:20Speaker 1: because because that would be the best way for me
- 57:24Speaker 1: to help him with his problems. I smoothly cussed him
- 57:28Speaker 1: out and told him that our friendship is over. His
- 57:31Speaker 1: wife has called me several times begging me to mend
- 57:34Speaker 1: our friendship. She said that her husband was only joking
- 57:38Speaker 1: with me. This is all too weird for me. I
- 57:40Speaker 1: do miss my friend, but I don't understand what's happening
- 57:44Speaker 1: over there with him and his wife. Maybe our friendship
- 57:47Speaker 1: has run its course. What do you think? Uh, this
- 57:51Speaker 1: is some crazy, freaky and yes, wacky too, a whole
- 57:54Speaker 1: lot of stuff going on at your neighbors. Okay, he's crazy,
- 57:58Speaker 1: his wife is crazy, and um, you're crazy too if
- 58:02Speaker 1: you think you can still be friends with them. Okay. Uh,
- 58:05Speaker 1: your relationship with him, as you know it is over. Uh.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He just wants to do you right now, and and
- 58:12Speaker 1: that's unacceptable of course. So stop feeling guilty about not
- 58:16Speaker 1: talking to him and feeling like you owe him something.
- 58:19Speaker 1: You know, if you go a few days without talking
- 58:21Speaker 1: to him, feeling guilty because you don't think you're being
- 58:23Speaker 1: a good friend to him, you don't. You don't owe
- 58:26Speaker 1: him anything. Okay, you really don't. You have been a
- 58:28Speaker 1: good friend to him since high school. He decided to
- 58:32Speaker 1: change and mess things up. I really don't understand why
- 58:35Speaker 1: his wife isn't more angry and upset about everything. She's
- 58:38Speaker 1: way too cool for me, So I understand why you
- 58:41Speaker 1: say she's wacky and this is weird. Um, I think
- 58:44Speaker 1: this friendship has run his course. I agree with you,
- 58:47Speaker 1: it is time to move on. You should not have
- 58:49Speaker 1: to be in the middle of this craziness. You really
- 58:52Speaker 1: shouldn't as a friend, Steve. Um, I have a lot
- 58:57Speaker 1: of questions in this level. Okay, I'm just gonna be honest.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I got no real way to go with this itself.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Let me read it and interpreted as I see it.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Tommy kill y'all go, dear Sherylan, Steve, I'm still best
- 59:10Speaker 1: friends with my high school sweetheart. He's happily married now,
- 59:14Speaker 1: and his wife and I are good friends too. Here's
- 59:17Speaker 1: the problem. You're right right there, right there, right there.
- 59:24Speaker 1: I'm still best friends with my high school sweetheart. He's
- 59:29Speaker 1: happily married now, and his wife and I are good
- 59:33Speaker 1: friends too. Here's the problem. You just listed it. You're
- 59:39Speaker 1: exactly right here lies the whole damn problem. You still
- 59:44Speaker 1: friends with your high school sweetheart and your friends with
- 59:48Speaker 1: his wife too. That's a damn problem. For the past
- 59:51Speaker 1: couple of weeks, he's been making a lot of inappropriate
- 59:54Speaker 1: comments of a sexual nature to me. I've always politely
- 59:58Speaker 1: told him that he needs to say those things to
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: his wife. I don't need any issues in my life.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: So I told his wife, what, yeah, so now you
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: don't went over there, he's making these inappropriate mark. You
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: went and told his wife. And and the woman on
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the show is gonna yep yep, she told as she
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: shared according to the woman code, I guess you're posted
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: to tell it. So I told his wife that he
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: was making me uncomfortable. This helfer said right here, see now,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: right here, you're the one went over there and told her.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: So this helfer said, why this, why this? What? This
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: helfer said, well, you know, you his first love, so
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you should take those comments as compliments. Thus, the subject
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: of the letter my freaky friend and he whacky white.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I had to do a lot of prayer enough to
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: talking to this woman. Since then, it's got worse. Now
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: here's where the letter takes it to him. He just
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: came out and told me that he and his wife
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: don't have sex anymore. I stopped the conversation that told
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: him that he needs to call one of his male
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: friends because I couldn't help him. I don't know if
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'm reading this wrong. But if he calls you that
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: him and his wife don't have sex anymore, you stopped
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: the conversation, told her he needed to call one of
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: his male friends because I could not help him. Why
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: would he call his male friend to tell them him
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and his wife ain't having sex? No, what is you
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: saying about the man? Is this something this letter? We
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: don't know, because if you're insinuating that he should call
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: this one of his male friends to get, you know,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: some type of satisfaction, then I must go back to
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the line where you said he just came out and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: told me that he and his wife. Should there have
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: been a commed No, Steve, you're reading too much into it.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: If you said he just came out, shouldn't that be
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a comma right there? No? No, No, okay, because I
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: got scared. In a lot of time, I got quiet
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: when you read it, it's made difference. You need to
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: call one of your male friends because I can't hear
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: one hand. I'm gonna call Haiful alright, hold that thought, Steve. Okay,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of your response coming up
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: my Freaky Friend and his wacky wife. Right after this,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: come on, let's get to part two of your response
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter, My freaky friend and his wacky
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: wacky wife. This letter right here, This woman's best friends
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: with her high school sweetheart who happens to be happily
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: married now. So she friends with him and the wife.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Alrighty past a couple of weeks, he started making some
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: advances to her. He told to take that in there
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: to his wife, and you know she don't need no issues.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: So she went and told us former high school sweethearts wife,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: who is her friend? At your husband making me uncomfortable?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: He making uh, you know, advancements towards me. This helper said, well,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: you know you was his first love, so you should
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: take those comments as compliments. After doing a lot of
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: praying talking to this woman, since then, it's gotten worse.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: He just came out told me to hear and his
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: wife don't have sex anymore. I stopped the conversation, told
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: her he needs to call one of his male friends
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: because I couldn't help him. Well, we didn't talk for
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: a few days after that. And I started to feel
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: guilty like I had let my friend down when he
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: really needed a true friend to talk to. So I
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: called him up. I apologized and told him that he
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: was welcome to come to my house so we could talk.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: This food, this fool had the nerve to ask me
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: if I could be naked when he got there. Bam
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: jack apology and come over bing Bibi bing bi. Being
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: booty called previous question though about him because that would
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: be the best way for me to help him with
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: his problem. I smoothly cussed him out, told him that
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: our friendship is hopeful. Smoothly. His wife has called me
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: several times begging me to mend our friendship. She said
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: that her husband was only joking with me. So this
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: food then went back in the house to whack It
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: and told whacking she won't even answer my call. I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: told him when I got over there to be naked,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I was just joking with her, right, wacky wife. This
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: a whacky ass couple. The husband Whackett, the wife Whackett,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and you whack it from being friends with him. Okay,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: but it don't stop here. This is all too weird
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: for me. I do miss my friend whatever, but I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: don't understand what's happening over there with him and his wife.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Maybe our friendship has run his course. What do you think, lady?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: This is not a friendship. This is a situation, that's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: all this is. This is not friendship. This is a situation.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Friends do kind things for each other, friend and support
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: each other. Y'all ain't doing none of that, y'all just
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: up in here tripping. You ain't saying nothing good about
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: neither one of these people, not now one of them.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You ain't said one good thing about even one of them. Pete,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: but cooking tea to get on this, you know what?
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: She don't see him that way? What did he say?
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: And she said she could give him some cookie till
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: he get himself the best friend? Who she? It's crazy?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Yeah, this friendship, though, is over. I
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: mean the wife excuse the wife is calling her. You
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: need to be here Free. So now I'm thinking there's
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: something going on over here. I think they Swanley think
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: because she too, she's too okay with Yeah, wifeie, That's
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Why wasn't she more upset? I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: the free and more upset than the one he was
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: just joking with you when he said, nicked, you know
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: how to play. They've been over there talking about getting her. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: this is it's what you do. I'm gonna do this. Yep,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: that's the only way this work is. Whacky would have
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: to go over there. But when she first told Wacky
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that he was making sexual advances to her, Whacky said
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that she should take those comments as compliments. That's right,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: because you his first look. Yeah, because your first love,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: So wacky has been wacky is in the first paragraph.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Surely either they swang us or he's white looks. Huh.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Either they swang or his wife is a. I'm gonna
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: go it's a probably probably both, because that's how ugly
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: people talk. Really, yeah, yeah, this this is okay, Okay, okay,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: see this is let me, I'm gonna read you several
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: ugly person lines and come on, these ugly people line
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: starting with I'm still best friends with my high school sweetheart.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: He happily married now and me and his wife is
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: good friends. That's an ugly person person would say that,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: ain't nobody fine if the dude Okay, next next ugly
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: person line, this half of said, where you know you
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: his first love. You should take those comments as compliments
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: because of my old ever get a compliments I'm gonna take.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I think that's the ugliest comment in the entire lotter
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I ever get a couple that I'm gonna takes. She's
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: really really unattractive, isn't nothing enough? Yeah? Let me let
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: me find yall can read hug Yeah, she said her
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: husband was She said, my husband was only joking with
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: you when he asked you to be next and when
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: he come over, because he played like that, right, I
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: wish somebody would have Oh wait, what about my wife
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: and I don't have He told me his wife they
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: don't have sex anymore. He just came out and told

- 1:09:40Speaker 1: you did you see any more lines in there? Because

- 1:10:59Speaker 1: need you to make baba heads, I need you to
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: be selling fish in US because I need you out
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: in my pocket. This is to all the Underwood side
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: of the family. But I'm so happy that the young

- 1:14:21Speaker 1: And I want some good braids, human or synthetic. But
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: I'd rather have human hair because I got to get
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: ready for saying this out? What am I sir? Because
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I thought heard there was a different price for synthetic.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Isn't that different? Is it cheaper? But I can't go

- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I'm vampire and Brooklyn Eddie Murphy Baby on my hair
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: long all the way down my back. But the front

- 1:15:27Speaker 1: hair makeup man in the business said, I need to
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: brick lay so it covers up my thinning. And then
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I shake a little black paper in it to cover
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: up the ball spot. It'd be shiny or or you know,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: just took it all off. Ryl. I can't take it
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: all off because I'm a look like the women in
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: black panther and I ain't got the head shape. See
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: they look dignified. They love beautiful. See. I got about
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: three rolls in the back of my neck, look like
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: a pack of hot dogs a hot link be like
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: sel ready for saying it's so barbecue because she brought

- 1:16:22Speaker 1: to me. Hey, Steve Harvey, you write about it, maybe
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: like four and fourth man you'd be winning them Academy Awards.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Now you're an empire alway with Shirl Hill. You could
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: be the other brother, the one that was mad all
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the day. Yes, yes, yes, the one that got killed,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the one that got killed. Yeah, Sterling K. Brown, I
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: could be Sterling K. Brown. Listen, it's the best day ever?
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Is you know what you look? You can't play the

- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to get in your car seats five, but you only
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: got one seat. Yeah, that's all you got. I'm on
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: the floor knocking my eyes is right at the side level.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: People think I'm a little boy in Okay, I'll tell
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you what this really happened this party and it's still

- 1:22:28Speaker 1: on me. The center console don't live up. But as
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: for that, like you ain't got a paper wide to
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: paper tie irack sitting right here out on your ashball.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: It's a whole paper tie rack. So I'm just spinning.

- 1:22:50Speaker 1: something degrees in this car. We're both sitting here, sweating,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: soaking wet. Man, we're gonna both sit here and act
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: like this don't work. That's what we got. We're just
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: gonna sweat on all the way, all the way, I see.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Come on and close it out. Now. We ain't got
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: clothes a chicken, Yeah, yeah we do. Yeah, let me

- 1:23:18Speaker 1: He had a lot of cars. Okay, So let me
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: close with this. The cardboard on the floor over here
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: on the passenger side, he's soaking wick. Because you won't
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: see that the floating. Got You won't tell nobody that
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I'm seeing the road by looking at going to stop
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: this car like the flip stover, and your ads won't
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: go on and admit that the flow eight out over here?
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Oh man, do I set my drink on the floor.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I looked at the back. I see my drink coming
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour, We're gonna tell
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: you the sacred to a man's life who has lived
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: to one hundred and twelve years old. He's a veteran too.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show in this past week.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: Richard Overton is his name. He is America's oldest man.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Uh he happens to be a World War Two veteran. Tommy,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: he turned one hundred and twelve years old. Okay, now
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: they asked him. Of course, you always ask people who
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: have lived managed to live this long? What is the secret?
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Richard explains Steve. You're gonna love this. You're gonna love this.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: This is what he does. His favorite drink is whiskey
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and coke. He also, yeah, he also enjoys waffles, pancakes,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: cinnamon rolls, ice cream, and dr pepper. But the one
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: thing that he does every day consistently. Steve, he smokes
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: twelve cigars a day. He got time, he got some time,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: white man born in nineteen o six. That's like two
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: hours or something. He putting them up. Yeah, there was
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: a cigar. He's chain smoking. Man. Ain't got nothing to
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: what I mean. He's lived his life whiskey and coat
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: he killed. I wouldn't care about. This is what I
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: would eat too. I'd love he's got some good jeans. Yeah,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: oh dog, I have no dietary strictures at that. You're
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: heading home anyway? What what? Let me get bone of
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Chiden down, pointing butter par right, I'm back. You know
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: what I had in about seventy years foot? You know what?
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Because he guys, why do you know what I had
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: about for the year? What was that? You don't give
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: me what I don't give me a can of spail
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: whatever you do, and I want on that new one
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: either with a little pop top, I go give me
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: what I got the killing. Yeah, I'm gonna go in
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: here and make me a vienna saucy pap roll out.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: We'll roll out and crush. They're gonna let a bunch
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: of vienna and put put the crunch top on it,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: and I'm gonna bake it. It would be Viana soldier everybody.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: That's what everybody eat that right there? You know what?
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: So you know what, you're good girl. You know what
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: I think about getting me Toma? What old Steve? What?
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: That's because he's old Steve. Now give him with hand
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: me a rabbit sandwich. Rabbit. I've never had rabbit. You
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: never had rabbit. Everybody says it tastes like chicken, and
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: that's fine. I don't want to eat it good some
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: real old now, but I want me some fried drummer
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: from Fried Drumming Us, some buffalo fish and a piece
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: of cop man. What is jo so long? Well you
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: got to be old eating damn call? But when did
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: he eat it? He's smoking all these cigars, you know.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: You know, hey, one thing about smoke Ture you smoke
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: with you? Is he married? It didn't say she's sometimes. Yeah,
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: she passed about twit year ago when you were a hundred.
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: That the hundred birthday party. And I will put it
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: on all right, we'll be back with more of this
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: foolishness ignorant show right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: stew Today's Entertainment News. Pregnant women are supposed to, you know,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: try and stay stress free during that time of the months.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: So you know that won't transmit trans late into the baby.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: You know, the baby won't pick up on that. But
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Cardi B keeps getting into drama. She just keeps getting
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: into drama. Not always her fault, though. She was doing
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: a little shopping at a Las Vegas mall recently when
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: she got into it with an over zealous fan. After
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: footage of a verbal altercation hit the internet. See was verbal, guys,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: and not physical. The woman featured in the video spoke out.
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: Her name was Lolita Beckford Hawkins. She said she bumped
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: into Cardi B outside the Fendi store and asked for
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: a picture. Cardi ignored her request, so Lolita yelled, f Cardi,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: you ain't nothing. That's what the woman yelled out right, Okay,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: so listen. Cardie explained to her that she didn't want
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: to take a picture because she didn't like how she
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: looked that day. Okay, but Lolita felt Cardi was acting
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: fake and only gave her the time of day after
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: she turned up. Cardi B went on Twitter to address
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: the footage. She wrote, I walked all the way to
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: the store, and they still follow me, trying to argue
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: with me. If I respectfully told you I don't want
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: to take a picture of your drunk but drunk a
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: You know what she said, You shouldn't get close to
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: me and disrespect my decision, space or privacy. That's what
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: Cardi B said. Look, Cardi B is one correct, two
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: for two with you, Steve. No. I mean you know,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: first of all, this is a woman asking another woman
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: for a picture. Now, women don't like taking pictures if
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: they ain't on points. Now, just because you want a
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: picture from a celebrity does not mean that that celebrity
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: has to oblige. But now after she tells you kindly, no,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: I'm not up to taking pictures today. I'm not on
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: a picture to day. F Cardi B. For what, That's crazy. See,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: that's that's what makes it so difficult. She was in
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: the mall minding her business. She didn't go to the
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: mall and say Cardi B gonna be in the Vegas
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: mall taking pictures today, and then y'all got on. Then
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: she said no, right, and Cardie Steve said, I always
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: take pictures with fans. If I don't have no makeup,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: I'm in a rush, or if I'm not in the mood,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: I'm not obligated. And not everybody is your fan. Clearly
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: that's what Cardie said, and she wasn't a fan because
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: she turned on her so quickly. If a person don't
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: get of you a picture, and all of a sudden
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: you hate him for that, something wrong with you, Something
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: is wrong with you, and you've experienced that a lot,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: Steve oh Man out of head it so many times.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: I can't even tell you because it's just that I
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: had I've been accused. He just ignored me. I ain't
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: hear you right? How about that? He didn't even speak
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: to me. I didn't see you because you're focused on
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: where you gotta go, where you're going. Yeah, I get
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: I got phone calls, I got people standing around me.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: It's so difficult, man, to try to have to be
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: something for everybody when they wanted, when you didn't come
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: that for that. After the show was over with, I'm
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: doing a meet and greet. I'll take pictures with everybody
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: in life. Take the picture, we shake the hand, We
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: keep it moving. They know how to work their cameras
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: and a lot of them, and a lot of them don't.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: So I have people. So what I do is you
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: give your camera to my guy with it on shoot.
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: He take it handed to you, you walk off. That's
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: how we do it. Now you ain't got it, And
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: if your came ain't ready when you get to him,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you're going going to the next person in line, and
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: we keep it moving. And that's that's all you can
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: do with people after that. Man. All right, Steve, coming
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: up our last break of the day. Closing remarks, Okay,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: get ready people, you're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve.
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: Before we went to break, we talked about a hundred
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: and twelve year old Richard Overton. He's America's oldest man.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: He happens to be a World War Two veteran as well.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: He has lived to be a hundred and twelve years old.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: Of course, you know people are going to ask him, Uh,
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: how did he do it? What does he do to
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: live that long? He says he drinks whiskey and coke.
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: That is his favorite drink. He enjoys waffles, cinnamon rolls, pancakes,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: ice cream, dr pepper, and he smokes twelve cigars a day.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Before we get to closing remarks. Anybody got any questionable?
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: What were the fashions like back in the day when
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: you were a young man? A lot of burlap, A
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: lot at a burlet short sit had the top end
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: shut both on burl burn left socks and burn lap. Shoot, Oh, Steve,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: it's been great chatting with you and getting to know
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: you know what I did when I when when you
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: called me, got my head and the wood and head
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: and no go north, hear me. Can you bring back
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: young Steve so we can close out the show, please, sir?
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: All right, night talk with Joe. Yeah, have us the girl?
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: All right? Um, Sureley today the closing remarks. Today, I've
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: chosen U to talk on the subject about your association
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: with people. M hmmm. Uh. My mom used to tell
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: me all the time, she says, son, association brings on participation.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: She said that to me all the time. Association brings
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: on participation, she said. She said. Your family is your family,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: but you get to pick your friends. She said, pick
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: them carefully, so because your because your friends are who
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: you really are, and so sort of funny. But growing up,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: all my friends lived on the street. I like Manuel Calhoun,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: Ricardo Pooh Butcher, Meredith le Brown, uh Amp, Tommy Cameron, Peintut,
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Stop Piss Jackson, Floyd Jackson, Lloyd Jackson, all the Valentine's
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: the biggest family. We all knew each other, But association
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: brings on participation. For the most part. These are some really,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: really great guys. Man. All of us came from parenting
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: homes that had a father in it. That was the
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: thing about it. The old school neighborhoods. Fathers were so
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: active in our lives. And I found out where a
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: long time ago, to my mom was telling me the
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: truth that association does bring on participation because I was
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: just like my friends were because that's who I associated with.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: So when they all got in trouble, we all got
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: in trouble. When we all was in team sport, we
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: was all team team sports. When we all went to school,
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: we all went to school. We just stayed like that.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: So I learned throughout life that that's a valuable lesson.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: So my suggestion to you is watch who you pick
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: as your friends, because association does bring on participation, and
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: do yourself a faith. Surround yourself with people who on
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: a on a like minded mission. As you surround yourself
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: by people who are on a like minded mission mission
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: as you. Now. People say, was suppose I can't find
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: nobody's tee. You can. You can on the same mission
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: as you if you're around people who are trying to
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: be successful. That's what I'm talking about. You don't have
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: to be successful in the same thing. You just have
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: to be on the path to success. And it's easy
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: to find people who want to do better. But if
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: you choose to surround yourself with people that ain't going nowhere,
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: all they doing is gossip and all they're doing is
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: playing cards. All they're doing is talking trash. All theyre
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: doing is gossiping. All they're doing is watching other people's
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: success on Instagram. That's what you're gonna become. So surround
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: yourself with people who are on a like minded issue.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: If you can't not find those people of like mindedness,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: ride solo. Just stay alone, because you don't need to
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: be persuaded. You don't need to be thrown off track
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: by people who are not like minded. Find you some
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: other people who want something out of life and pick
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: those as your friends. Find someone that you can find
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: in your life who's going somewhere. Find someone who wants more.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: When you do that, you'll find that you will have
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: what's called accountability, friends, because people are going somewhere. When
