- 1:10Speaker 4: Know you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 7: I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn the mouth turn. Ad the
- 1:47Speaker 3: money jo.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 8: Come on, you'll think, Ah, I sure we off.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 8: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:10Speaker 8: one and only Steve.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Harvey got a radio show. Hell man. God is in
- 2:15Speaker 2: the blessing business all day every day.
- 2:18Speaker 8: God got hundreds of millions of blessings that he passes
- 2:22Speaker 8: out every day. All I want to do is be
- 2:27Speaker 8: the recipient that I'm the recipient of what He has
- 2:31Speaker 8: for me.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's all I want.
- 2:35Speaker 8: I just want God's favor, and I want God's blessings.
- 2:41Speaker 8: You know, of course I need his mercy and his grace,
- 2:44Speaker 8: but I just want his blessings and his favor.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I want.
- 2:50Speaker 8: I want that in my life because it does things
- 2:53Speaker 8: for me that I'm absolutely incapable of doing for myself.
- 2:57Speaker 8: And I've been a recipient of many of those. And
- 3:00Speaker 8: you can be the recipient of them too. You already are, really, really,
- 3:06Speaker 8: you already are. If you're getting up every morning, that's
- 3:09Speaker 8: a blessed. If you're getting one day closer to anything
- 3:13Speaker 8: you're trying to accomplish, that's a blessing. But now let
- 3:17Speaker 8: me talk to you about this part right here, folks,
- 3:19Speaker 8: because this is the part that messages people up a
- 3:21Speaker 8: great deal.
- 3:22Speaker 2: What happens when you get off track? What is that?
- 3:28Speaker 2: What does that mean? When you get off track? See?
- 3:33Speaker 2: I've been off track.
- 3:34Speaker 8: I can't tell you how many times, and it happens
- 3:37Speaker 8: in so many aspects of your life. But what is
- 3:40Speaker 8: it that makes getting off track so debilitating to some people?
- 3:46Speaker 8: You know, there are some people who want theay off track.
- 3:49Speaker 8: They of course, they off the dream, They on to
- 3:52Speaker 8: something else. And you cannot allow the fact that you've
- 3:56Speaker 8: gotten off track to stop you.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Can. I tell you something? Everybody gets off track.
- 4:06Speaker 8: There are people who are living their life's dreams in
- 4:12Speaker 8: spite of getting off track. See what happens when you
- 4:15Speaker 8: get off track? Here's the simple thing to do. The
- 4:18Speaker 8: simple thing is just to get back on track. Now
- 4:21Speaker 8: that's that's But that's easier said than done, ain't it.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Steve?
- 4:25Speaker 8: Yeah, because see, people, when you get off track. Here's
- 4:28Speaker 8: some of the things that happen. See you get the
- 4:32Speaker 8: here come to nay says some of them from the outside,
- 4:36Speaker 8: some of them internally. Here's what gets said when you
- 4:40Speaker 8: get off track. See, I told you, I told you.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:45Speaker 8: You start hearing that it's not for you. Okay, this
- 4:53Speaker 8: is all just because you got off track. It's not
- 4:56Speaker 8: for you. Okay, here's another one. It ain't meant to be.
- 5:02Speaker 8: You can hear it all. You could say it. Well,
- 5:05Speaker 8: I guess it's just not meant to be. But let
- 5:09Speaker 8: me ask you a question, though, who made the rule
- 5:13Speaker 8: that when you get off track you can't get back on?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Who made that rule?
- 5:20Speaker 8: Where has that written that once you get off track
- 5:23Speaker 8: you can't get back on? See, because I'm gonna tell
- 5:27Speaker 8: you something, folks, there's no such rule. As a matter
- 5:31Speaker 8: of fact, it's quite the opposite. See, everybody in pursuit
- 5:37Speaker 8: of a dream, a goal, an aspiration, or mission is
- 5:42Speaker 8: going to get off track. Sometimes you're going to get derailed.
- 5:47Speaker 8: There are going to be days where you're not going
- 5:49Speaker 8: to get it right. There are going to be days
- 5:52Speaker 8: where you feel like giving up. There's going to be
- 5:54Speaker 8: days when you're just gonna flat out get it wrong.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That's the journey.
- 5:59Speaker 8: But let me tell you some Every successful person that
- 6:01Speaker 8: I know, ever met, talked to, set out, and chopped
- 6:04Speaker 8: it up with, have shared one thing in common. We
- 6:08Speaker 8: all get off track. We all get it wrong along
- 6:13Speaker 8: the way. I don't care who the person is. The
- 6:15Speaker 8: president got it wrong along the way. Your pastor got
- 6:20Speaker 8: it wrong along the way. Quiet director, go, I got
- 6:24Speaker 8: it wrong along the way. The principle at your school
- 6:27Speaker 8: got it wrong along the way. The valve of victorian
- 6:30Speaker 8: of your class got it wrong along the way. The
- 6:35Speaker 8: star of the team got it wrong along the way.
- 6:40Speaker 8: They've all been off track. Your boss down at your job,
- 6:44Speaker 8: he got it wrong along the way. Your immediate supervisor
- 6:48Speaker 8: got it wrong along the way. Everybody I know that
- 6:54Speaker 8: has any measure of success in every level that you
- 6:57Speaker 8: call success, however you want to label it, has gotten
- 7:00Speaker 8: off track. As a matter of fact, it's impossible. Listen
- 7:07Speaker 8: to me, it is impossible not to get off track
- 7:13Speaker 8: in pursuit of your dreams, goals, visions, aspirations. It is impossible.
- 7:20Speaker 8: Don't you let nobody tell you that they got through
- 7:23Speaker 8: life unscathed, that they made it because they were just
- 7:27Speaker 8: so determined, and I would let nothing turn me back. Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 8: you might not have let nothing turn you back because
- 7:33Speaker 8: you hear Oh, but you thought about it. Oh, you
- 7:37Speaker 8: thought about it on days when you was off track.
- 7:40Speaker 8: But see, people don't like to tell the whole story.
- 7:42Speaker 8: They just want you to think as much as you
- 7:45Speaker 8: can about them. So when they tell you their story,
- 7:48Speaker 8: they leave out the stuff.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Along the way. It was just hard work and determination
- 7:53Speaker 2: that got me here. No, it wasn't, No, it wasn't.
- 7:56Speaker 8: It was the fact that you got off track and
- 7:59Speaker 8: the grace and of God allowed you to get back on.
- 8:03Speaker 8: His forgiveness allowed you to get back on because you
- 8:05Speaker 8: would not believe what some of the people have done.
- 8:09Speaker 8: So when you get off track, don't allow the naysayers
- 8:13Speaker 8: outside and the big naysayer inside, because let me tell
- 8:17Speaker 8: you something, the biggest naysayer of them all comes from inside. See,
- 8:22Speaker 8: it don't matter what other people say out there. And
- 8:24Speaker 8: it takes some time for you to learn this. And
- 8:26Speaker 8: I understand because it took me some time to learn it. See,
- 8:29Speaker 8: I have a lot of naysayers out there, but I
- 8:32Speaker 8: ain't operating for them, operating function for the ones that
- 8:36Speaker 8: love me, for the ones that get me, for the
- 8:39Speaker 8: ones that understand what I'm really trying to do.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And so don't you be the one.
- 8:46Speaker 8: That doesn't allow yourself to get back on track when
- 8:50Speaker 8: you get off track, Because, like I said, who made
- 8:53Speaker 8: the rule up that you can't get back on track?
- 8:56Speaker 8: There's no such rule out there. Stop stopping yourself from
- 9:02Speaker 8: getting it right. So what you started to die at
- 9:05Speaker 8: the beginning of the year, and you already off start
- 9:09Speaker 8: another one, start over, try it again, don't ever stop trying.
- 9:15Speaker 2: If you stop trying, you can't make it.
- 9:17Speaker 8: But if you never give up the effort, if you
- 9:20Speaker 8: never give up and say it's over, it ain't over.
- 9:23Speaker 8: You heard the saying it ain't over, to the fat
- 9:25Speaker 8: lady saying I never invite her.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She's not invited. It ain't over.
- 9:33Speaker 8: To the fat lady saying I don't know where the
- 9:35Speaker 8: fat lady stay. I have not send her an invitation
- 9:39Speaker 8: to none of my events. She's not welcome here. She
- 9:43Speaker 8: didn't ask me a couple of times how come I
- 9:45Speaker 8: never get invited?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Because you're gonna start saying it and.
- 9:49Speaker 8: I ain't got time for that, all right, stop inviting
- 9:53Speaker 8: the fat lady to all your events.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Show.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Let me clear my throat.
- 10:03Speaker 8: Hey, hey, I ain't never done that in my life.
- 10:09Speaker 8: I don't even know where that came from, but I
- 10:12Speaker 8: love that though. When that dude do that, I be going,
- 10:16Speaker 8: my man, let me clear my throat. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:21Speaker 8: this is the Steve Harvey Marny Show. The reason we
- 10:23Speaker 8: don't start it the same way every day, it's because
- 10:26Speaker 8: it's a new day. What you're doing old fault, and
- 10:29Speaker 8: you got a shot at new forget about the things
- 10:33Speaker 8: of the past. God is doing a new thing. Don't
- 10:36Speaker 8: you see it. It's happening even right now, man, if
- 10:40Speaker 8: you just open up your eyes and be observing this morning.
- 10:44Speaker 8: I woke up, and I tell you right now, in
- 10:46Speaker 8: total gratitude. When I got home last night, I came
- 10:50Speaker 8: up that driveway, walked up my steps in total gratitude.
- 10:54Speaker 2: My door opened in gratitude.
- 10:56Speaker 8: I was so full thanking God yesterday man, just for
- 11:00Speaker 8: all He's done for me, my health, my strength, my family,
- 11:06Speaker 8: my wife, my kids.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And you think I'm too hard for the kids because
- 11:12Speaker 2: they're a lot of trouble.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But I thank Him for everything, man.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just being honest.
- 11:18Speaker 8: Now, I'm still a human being and a grown man.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 11:24Speaker 8: Though, you know he ever looked at your kid, it
- 11:26Speaker 8: wasn't great for form I have? Yeah, I'm just asking
- 11:31Speaker 8: you know you ever looked at him and really wasn't
- 11:33Speaker 8: greatful form?
- 11:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:36Speaker 2: You ever looked at him and felt like it was some.
- 11:38Speaker 8: Type of punishment getting back at me for something I
- 11:41Speaker 8: had done transgression in my past.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Life I have.
- 11:46Speaker 8: But in spite of it all, I love him and
- 11:48Speaker 8: I thank God for and you should too. And remember
- 11:51Speaker 8: whatever's happening in your life that's uncomfortable, unsettling, unnerving and unbearable.
- 11:58Speaker 8: Remember this, this too shall pass? Yead will all of
- 12:03Speaker 8: it do? Steve Harvey, mart the Show, Charlotte Strawberry, Colin
- 12:06Speaker 8: for real, Mouth of the South, that damn Junior and
- 12:09Speaker 8: the legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 12:13Speaker 2: What's on your mind today?
- 12:14Speaker 5: Man?
- 12:15Speaker 9: Uck?
- 12:15Speaker 10: I got a compliment you man? You still jumping because
- 12:19Speaker 10: I see the new product line. Man, you still jumping
- 12:22Speaker 10: out here.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Taking chances and shots?
- 12:25Speaker 10: Do you ever stop there?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Well?
- 12:27Speaker 8: The Bible says a man without a dream of vision
- 12:29Speaker 8: shall parish. I'm definitely not gonna parish for lack of
- 12:33Speaker 8: dreams and visions. Yeah, oh, I'm gonna leave here, but
- 12:37Speaker 8: it won't be from lack of dreams or visions. If
- 12:42Speaker 8: you don't have something to.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Shoot for, you lose. You lose the joy of what
- 12:50Speaker 2: you're waking up for.
- 12:52Speaker 8: So you got to have something you gunning for and
- 12:56Speaker 8: quit tripping because everything you gunning for don't have happened
- 13:00Speaker 8: right away.
- 13:01Speaker 2: It's a process.
- 13:03Speaker 8: The devil's biggest trick is to make you so focused
- 13:07Speaker 8: on what you want and don't have. He causes you
- 13:11Speaker 8: to lose sight of the things that you do have.
- 13:16Speaker 8: And man, if you would just focus on what you got,
- 13:20Speaker 8: God is good.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Well man.
- 13:25Speaker 11: Would all right, thank you for that steam coming up

- 14:20Speaker 1: What you got for us?
- 14:21Speaker 9: Nef Kappa's funeral at the club. Kappa's funeral at the club.
- 14:26Speaker 9: Let's go catch out.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'm trying to reach to James.
- 14:31Speaker 13: James, Yeah, yeah, what's up.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Hey, This This is Gerald. I was a friend of
- 14:39Speaker 2: your friend Chapel.
- 14:41Speaker 9: Yeah, Chappa just passed away last week, right, Yeah, I
- 14:49Speaker 9: know they supposed to had a funeral and stuff over
- 14:51Speaker 9: at at my Baptist church. And uh, I don't really
- 14:55Speaker 9: know you, but me and me and Choppa and a
- 14:57Speaker 9: bunch of rest those man we used to hang out
- 14:59Speaker 9: at the club not too far from the house. You know,
- 15:02Speaker 9: That's pretty much where Chopper was all the time at
- 15:05Speaker 9: the club. Anyway, what a bunch of us was over
- 15:07Speaker 9: at the club talking man, and I was we was
- 15:10Speaker 9: really want to reach out to one of the family members,
- 15:13Speaker 9: you know. And then somebody said you was, you know,
- 15:14Speaker 9: kind of a good friend of his, and we we
- 15:19Speaker 9: we we decided to call you.
- 15:20Speaker 2: And see if you didn't mind.
- 15:22Speaker 9: Do you think that you can talk to some of
- 15:27Speaker 9: the family members and see if they don't mind having
- 15:31Speaker 9: the funeral.
- 15:33Speaker 2: At the club.
- 15:35Speaker 13: At the club.
- 15:37Speaker 9: See what, let me, let me try to explain something
- 15:39Speaker 9: to you, Jane. What we're trying to do is, see,
- 15:43Speaker 9: we believe that we believe you.
- 15:45Speaker 13: Said at the club, come on the club funeral.
- 15:50Speaker 2: And that's what I understand it.
- 15:51Speaker 9: But see, see choppeer Chopper ain't really go to church
- 15:55Speaker 9: a whole lot.
- 15:55Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. He ain't really really go
- 15:57Speaker 2: along as I've been knowing him. Now. He loved the
- 16:00Speaker 2: law and stuff like that.
- 16:01Speaker 13: Player, But these are church going folks.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I understand.
- 16:05Speaker 9: But see, Chopel wouldn't Chapel when Chapel went to the club.
- 16:10Speaker 9: So what I'm asking you is, let's have the funeral
- 16:13Speaker 9: at the club.
- 16:14Speaker 13: Hell, no, bro, come on, we can't have no funeral
- 16:18Speaker 13: at no club, man, Come on, No, no, I can't.
- 16:22Speaker 9: But but what what I'm saying is, though, is that
- 16:24Speaker 9: he wasn't really, he wasn't really.
- 16:27Speaker 2: No church going person. I believe that a person ought
- 16:30Speaker 2: to be.
- 16:31Speaker 9: Uh, the last words are to be said over him
- 16:35Speaker 9: in a place he's more familiar with.
- 16:37Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 16:38Speaker 13: A player? Player? No, I don't. I don't know what
- 16:41Speaker 13: you mean. No, just just gotta be a funeral. This
- 16:44Speaker 13: is this is a church for I go to church and
- 16:45Speaker 13: all my folks go to church. Now we gotta do
- 16:48Speaker 13: this thing up in church. This is a church thing.
- 16:50Speaker 9: But you don't, you don't feel But do you understand
- 16:52Speaker 9: where I'm coming from? Know there a man ought to
- 16:54Speaker 9: have gone on and and the last words are to
- 16:56Speaker 9: be in a place he more familiar with.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Now, if he went to church, then I understand that.
- 17:01Speaker 13: You said, oh bro, hell no no, See, it's a
- 17:04Speaker 13: chance to get itself right. And we don't we don't
- 17:07Speaker 13: have them up in church in front of everybody. You know,
- 17:11Speaker 13: that don't make sense? Who's this again? I mean, who
- 17:14Speaker 13: are you?
- 17:14Speaker 2: My name is Gerald, But.
- 17:16Speaker 13: Who is Gerald?
- 17:16Speaker 5: I mean?
- 17:17Speaker 14: How do you?
- 17:18Speaker 13: How do you relate to this? Are you a preacher?
- 17:20Speaker 2: Or are you not?
- 17:21Speaker 11: Are you?
- 17:22Speaker 8: No?
- 17:22Speaker 9: No, no, no, I'm I was friends with Chopper and
- 17:25Speaker 9: see I hung out at the club and still hang
- 17:28Speaker 9: out there with a whole bunch of you know, was
- 17:30Speaker 9: real good friends with Chopper, and we were saying that,
- 17:33Speaker 9: you know, Choppers, the last words about Chopper or to
- 17:37Speaker 9: be said at the club, because see that's what Chopper was.
- 17:39Speaker 2: But five six days a week, that's what Chopper was.
- 17:42Speaker 13: Yeah, but what church are you affiliated with?
- 17:45Speaker 5: I mean, what, what?
- 17:46Speaker 13: Why the hell would I I try to talk to
- 17:49Speaker 13: the family, make me look stupid in front of the family,
- 17:51Speaker 13: telling them to put this thing in the club. How
- 17:53Speaker 13: is that gonna go off?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Well?
- 17:55Speaker 2: See, see that's what I'm saying.
- 17:56Speaker 13: You know them way more than we do, because see
- 17:58Speaker 13: that you're talking about trying to move from a damn
- 18:01Speaker 13: funeral at a church to a damn nightclub or a
- 18:04Speaker 13: strip club or something.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Not no strip club, just a nightclub.
- 18:09Speaker 13: I mean you talking about having folks travel from across
- 18:13Speaker 13: the country and meeting in the damn club. What kind
- 18:16Speaker 13: of that?
- 18:17Speaker 2: But that what Chaper was, That's what Chapel was.
- 18:20Speaker 13: I'm gonna look, if I'm the one telling them this
- 18:23Speaker 13: rooted to the damn.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Club, You're gonna look like somebody that's trying.
- 18:26Speaker 13: To I'm gonna look like a fool.
- 18:28Speaker 2: No, you're not. You're gonna look like somebody's trying to
- 18:30Speaker 2: keep it real.
- 18:30Speaker 13: When come to the damn funeral if I do something
- 18:33Speaker 13: like that.
- 18:34Speaker 9: Okay, okay, let me ask you this, hit in. Let
- 18:36Speaker 9: me ask you this here, Jane. Do you think do
- 18:39Speaker 9: you think you can maybe get the body and bring
- 18:42Speaker 9: it over to the club now, well, just saying before
- 18:47Speaker 9: they even do the funeral or whatever.
- 18:49Speaker 13: Hell, no, I ain't touching getting to walk in the
- 18:53Speaker 13: dog by myself. Don't touch this body for hell now.

- 22:15Speaker 11: husband is the best husband in the world. I don't
- 22:19Speaker 11: want to lose him, but I need to tell him
- 22:22Speaker 11: that I fooled around with his uncle when we were home.
- 22:25Speaker 1: For the holiday.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Excuse me, that's just stupid.
- 22:30Speaker 1: That's a little close to the family.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Now, wait a minute.
- 22:33Speaker 11: I really enjoyed it, but I told his uncle it
- 22:36Speaker 11: could never happen again. How do I confess this clo
- 22:41Speaker 11: to my husband uncle?
- 22:44Speaker 16: This is so wrong.
- 22:45Speaker 8: I don't think you do. I don't What is this
- 22:47Speaker 8: statement you made? I something I have to tell my husband.
- 22:52Speaker 8: How you think this is gonna go?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Lady?
- 22:54Speaker 8: Your marriage will be oval and you can run the
- 22:57Speaker 8: risk of your husband going to jail. It's so many
- 23:01Speaker 8: things can go wrong here. Now, look, you've made the mistake.
- 23:05Speaker 8: You told him it could never happen again. Now, if
- 23:08Speaker 8: you really mean that, you ask God for forgiveness, You
- 23:12Speaker 8: get back up on a horse, and you start back
- 23:15Speaker 8: to riding again.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Second time.
- 23:20Speaker 8: I probably shouldn't say that. You don't get back up
- 23:24Speaker 8: on no more horses, You don't get up on stay
- 23:32Speaker 8: your fast ass down so much.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But she really enjoyed it.
- 23:37Speaker 8: Which means she's considering it again if you're going to
- 23:40Speaker 8: do it to Okay, let me tell you how this
- 23:42Speaker 8: works in case and I was. I tell this to
- 23:44Speaker 8: my kids. I've told everybody. God gives everybody a break.
- 23:49Speaker 8: Your first sin, he fires a warning shot over your head.
- 23:53Speaker 8: If you do the same sin again, the next shot
- 23:58Speaker 8: takes a little piece of ear of me off.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Just if you do it a third time.
- 24:06Speaker 8: The next bullet is right in your teeth. It just
- 24:12Speaker 8: that's that third one. Now you've got the warning shot.
- 24:17Speaker 8: If you go back again, it's gonna be a piece
- 24:20Speaker 8: of ear meat. Second shot, if you go back a
- 24:22Speaker 8: third time, you're gonna get it in the teeth.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Now here's a deal.
- 24:25Speaker 8: You don't seem like you're showing any remorse. You told
- 24:29Speaker 8: him it can never happen again, But now you're telling
- 24:31Speaker 8: mom about you enjoyed it so, which means you're considering
- 24:33Speaker 8: it because you haven't had any repercussions. But I'll tell
- 24:36Speaker 8: you what, if you go in there to that man
- 24:38Speaker 8: and confess this it's over, it's a wrap because.
- 24:43Speaker 2: You low down, not the uncle. He did it too. Wow,
- 24:49Speaker 2: that boy's daddy's brother.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, we're gonna move on.
- 24:58Speaker 11: Steve to Molina in Pittsburgh. Molina says, I allowed my
- 25:03Speaker 11: husband to have a hall pass with my best friend's sister.
- 25:07Speaker 1: What this is craziness right here? I'd been here here everybody.
- 25:14Speaker 11: I allowed my husband to have a hall pass with
- 25:16Speaker 11: my best friend's sister. But I told him I had
- 25:20Speaker 11: to be present. He did it without me knowing, and.
- 25:24Speaker 1: That wasn't the plan. I feel like, if he's snuck
- 25:28Speaker 1: and did it once, he'll do it again. Should I
- 25:31Speaker 1: be worried?
- 25:33Speaker 13: Hey?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Stupid, Hey stupid? You gave him a hall pass. He
- 25:38Speaker 2: decided he needs you to see the past.
- 25:44Speaker 8: Because what he doing at the hall past is you
- 25:47Speaker 8: don't need to see this hill because he got a
- 25:49Speaker 8: special performance that he been waiting for your best friend's
- 25:55Speaker 8: sister for a long time. So he and that clown,
- 25:59Speaker 8: so he didn't need you to see it. So would
- 26:01Speaker 8: he do it again? Why did you give him permission?
- 26:05Speaker 8: You can't open the door and shut it too?
- 26:08Speaker 7: You had, lord?
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, what kind of plan was that? Anyway? He didn't stick,
- 26:14Speaker 1: but I plan. Yeah, you don't need to be here.
- 26:18Speaker 2: You said I could.
- 26:22Speaker 8: Watch it because you're gonna have instructions. That's pretty much stop.
- 26:28Speaker 5: All right?
- 26:28Speaker 7: This is over.
- 26:29Speaker 16: I don't like it.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I changed my mind.
- 26:34Speaker 2: It's too late now. Yeah.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Moving on to Bunny and Richmond.
- 26:38Speaker 11: Bunny says, my husband and I have been together for
- 26:41Speaker 11: four years and he got me two pairs of the
- 26:43Speaker 11: wrong size shoes and a coat that's too big.
- 26:47Speaker 1: He got it for Christmas.
- 26:49Speaker 11: He said it was a coincidence, but he may have
- 26:52Speaker 11: gotten them from a booster. Should I ask him if
- 26:55Speaker 11: the stuff is stolen before I try to return it?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Or would that be offensive?
- 27:01Speaker 2: You don't, You don't know what's happening. All you got
- 27:04Speaker 2: to do to return it is say, maybe be could
- 27:06Speaker 2: I return it for the right size?
- 27:09Speaker 8: And if so, I will. I love it, but I
- 27:12Speaker 8: just need to get the right size. Do you have receipts?
- 27:16Speaker 8: That's all you got to do. What is you taking
- 27:18Speaker 8: this hot mess back down to this stove.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You're going to jail today, like colds and stuff?
- 27:28Speaker 8: They they man't they check against inventory and all this
- 27:31Speaker 8: now stuff is on computer.
- 27:33Speaker 2: They show them shoes steal in inventory, yep. And you

- 27:40Speaker 2: that for that thirty eight Yeah, so she just.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Christmas.
- 27:46Speaker 13: That's it.

- 27:53Speaker 1: You got nothing that thirty eight on. If you want

- 28:29Speaker 11: I turn her down, she threatens my new relationship. How
- 28:33Speaker 11: can I cut her off for good?
- 28:35Speaker 2: How she threatened?
- 28:36Speaker 8: How she threatening your new relationship? You know what you've
- 28:39Speaker 8: been doing because you've been sleeping with your ex wife.
- 28:42Speaker 8: Why are you sleeping with your new girlfriend? And she
- 28:44Speaker 8: gonna tell it for true years? God, that's how I go, man,

- 29:40Speaker 11: for a while and he doesn't like wearing protection. We
- 29:43Speaker 11: got into an argument about it, and now he's not
- 29:45Speaker 11: answering my husband's texts to come to our yard.
- 29:48Speaker 1: How can he be so petty when he knows I'm married?
- 29:53Speaker 8: Right here, God, y'all, y'all got to quit writing us

- 41:04Speaker 2: Ahead, Well, now what you're about to hear.
- 41:12Speaker 19: It's pure comedic genius, but I must lay a disclaimer.
- 41:20Speaker 19: This is going to be a little edgy. It's gonna
- 41:27Speaker 19: ruffle a couple of feathers.
- 41:31Speaker 8: So I'm just letting you know this. This is j
- 41:33Speaker 8: Anthony Brown. He asked me do it, and I kind
- 41:40Speaker 8: of got an idea. I don't know exactly what it is,
- 41:45Speaker 8: but I'm in support of comedy. Yeah, but I'm saying
- 41:49Speaker 8: we're doing this with a disclaimer that no one can
- 41:53Speaker 8: call us and say nothing about it. I don't know
- 41:55Speaker 8: exactly what he gonna do, but he could ruffle some feathers,
- 42:00Speaker 8: ladies and gentlemen.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Jay Anthony Brown.
- 42:02Speaker 16: All right, what I'm what I'm about to do right now?
- 42:06Speaker 16: Every year. A lot of people, good people, you know,
- 42:10Speaker 16: meaning good have quanza parties.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Now, yes, I don't think it's a lot of people.
- 42:18Speaker 2: You can go ahead. You must have been trying to
- 42:21Speaker 2: build this Junke up in this trying to build it up.
- 42:25Speaker 2: It's not a lot of quans.
- 42:27Speaker 20: How about people have a quanza party and don't a
- 42:31Speaker 20: lot of people come, and they wonder why people don't come.
- 42:36Speaker 20: What I have is suggestions to get more people to
- 42:40Speaker 20: your quanza party. Number one, offer a free dog she
- 42:45Speaker 20: get to anybody who will show.
- 42:47Speaker 16: Up one size fit.
- 42:52Speaker 1: All right, you learn it up.
- 43:00Speaker 20: Everybody that shows that the Kwanza party, you get a
- 43:05Speaker 20: free bean pier.
- 43:06Speaker 16: If you don't like me, give a sweet potato. If
- 43:09Speaker 16: you can't, everybody don't like me, I.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Like, I love.
- 43:14Speaker 11: OK.
- 43:15Speaker 16: This one is really good. This is really really good.
- 43:18Speaker 16: If you have a Kwanza party, Steve, you can demonstrate
- 43:22Speaker 16: what I mean by this.
- 43:23Speaker 20: You not have more than two velosifying brothers or sisters
- 43:28Speaker 20: at your party.
- 43:31Speaker 16: You don't want more than two in there. You don't
- 43:33Speaker 16: want to, you know, brothers.
- 43:34Speaker 19: Let me say this about this time, this period that
- 43:38Speaker 19: we partake of in this a questrious moment, a history
- 43:43Speaker 19: defiling or the gytuatricitness, or the barbariousness of what these
- 43:50Speaker 19: holidays are too.
- 43:52Speaker 2: That's why we celebrate quons.
- 43:55Speaker 21: But I dare say, though, brother, you don't want if
- 44:00Speaker 21: we hold that dilate the situation, knowing that it is
- 44:05Speaker 21: pharagorically not a capability of scientific split. Let let me
- 44:11Speaker 21: interject some sensibility into this conversation.
- 44:15Speaker 20: Okay, you don't want a whole bunch of them at
- 44:18Speaker 20: your party? Okay, it tears up the mood.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Number five.
- 44:24Speaker 16: Ease up, this is very important.
- 44:26Speaker 13: Ease up, you know what.
- 44:28Speaker 22: E's up me right, Ease up on the incense and sage. Okay,
- 44:40Speaker 22: because the black of my nose is burning.
- 44:45Speaker 1: How my shoes theyll like, I got a headache? Notious?
- 44:52Speaker 5: Too much?
- 44:55Speaker 1: My greens tastes like save.
- 45:03Speaker 16: Number two?
- 45:04Speaker 2: You want number seven?
- 45:06Speaker 20: You want to play something other than the Lion King Anne,
- 45:09Speaker 20: This is vandpoint. The African drummers don't have to play
- 45:13Speaker 20: all night.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Long, Okay, they don't.
- 45:18Speaker 20: Shirley Dinner and last but not really last night. Don't
- 45:25Speaker 20: tell nobody it's a quiz about it.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Just tell him to come over.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Okay, I have to tell him something.

- 54:14Speaker 8: no pie? Said no, I was waiting because I was
- 54:16Speaker 8: from after the game. They ate all three of them
- 54:21Speaker 8: sweet potato pies.
- 54:22Speaker 2: The kids, the kids, the grandparents, their friends. I walked
- 54:26Speaker 2: in the kitchen, I looked at everybody.
- 54:28Speaker 9: I'm different. I get mad at my wife at that point.
- 54:31Speaker 9: Have me some food inside, take care of me. I'm sorry.
- 54:39Speaker 9: My toe was very nice. Have me some food side. Yeah, okay,
- 54:46Speaker 9: if you don't mind, you have me a plate set aside.

- 54:53Speaker 2: I'm not gonna do that.
- 54:54Speaker 1: What if she put your plate aside and somebody eating somebody?

- 56:20Speaker 1: Thank you for you subject. My cousin owns the car wash.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:26Speaker 11: I'm a twenty nine year old hopeless romantic and I
- 56:29Speaker 11: got married too quickly to a man that I barely knew.
- 56:33Speaker 11: Now all of my family is in my business, and
- 56:36Speaker 11: I'm so disappointed in myself. I met a man that's
- 56:39Speaker 11: from another city, and after we dated for a few months,
- 56:43Speaker 11: he came to visit me and never left. He quickly
- 56:46Speaker 11: got a great job and he got settled in. He
- 56:49Speaker 11: has a friend in town, so he's usually hanging out
- 56:52Speaker 11: with him or he's at work. I never suspected he
- 56:56Speaker 11: was cheating on me until three days ago when I
- 56:59Speaker 11: found out that he's had sex in his car. My
- 57:03Speaker 11: cousin owns a car wash, and he specializes in wheels
- 57:08Speaker 11: and detailing leather seats. My husband's escalade is his pride
- 57:12Speaker 11: and joy, so he gets it washed often. I did
- 57:16Speaker 11: not know he was going all the way across town
- 57:19Speaker 11: to get his car washed until I got a call
- 57:21Speaker 11: from my cousin's wife. She said, my husband has brought
- 57:24Speaker 11: his truck to the car wash a few times and
- 57:26Speaker 11: he's always got interesting stains and pieces of weeds.
- 57:30Speaker 1: All over the truck.
- 57:32Speaker 11: My cousin figured out that it's my husband after he
- 57:35Speaker 11: saw a business card in the truck. See, my cousin
- 57:39Speaker 11: wasn't invited to my wedding because he is on the
- 57:41Speaker 11: ghetto side of my family, so he didn't know my husband.
- 57:46Speaker 11: I just hate that before my cousin's wife called me,
- 57:49Speaker 11: she called my mom and told her that my husband
- 57:51Speaker 11: has been having sex in his truck and getting it cleaned. Afterwards,
- 57:55Speaker 11: I asked my husband about the rumor, and he threatened
- 57:59Speaker 11: to fight my cousin and out him as a liar
- 58:02Speaker 11: and a bad businessman. I assured him that my cousin
- 58:06Speaker 11: is not the one to be played with like that.
- 58:10Speaker 1: If my husband is not.
- 58:11Speaker 11: Cheating, why would he be so upset. I don't see
- 58:14Speaker 11: my cousin hating on my husband for no reason. Since
- 58:17Speaker 11: my family knows can my marriage survive this? Well, you
- 58:23Speaker 11: really don't have much of a marriage to survive anything.
- 58:27Speaker 11: You know, you guys don't even spend a lot of
- 58:30Speaker 11: time together. You said he's over at his friend's house
- 58:32Speaker 11: or he's over at work. It sounds like your man
- 58:36Speaker 11: is cheating and everyone knows it. Your family is messy,
- 58:39Speaker 11: and you are right. Your cousin's wife didn't have to
- 58:42Speaker 11: bless the business to your mom. But you said yourself
- 58:45Speaker 11: that you barely know this man. I mean you barely
- 58:48Speaker 11: knew him when you married him. He's probably doing what
- 58:50Speaker 11: he normally did when he was single in that other town,
- 58:55Speaker 11: but you didn't know him then, so you don't have
- 58:56Speaker 11: anything to compare his behavior to.
- 58:59Speaker 1: And when you asked him about it, he didn't deny it.
- 59:02Speaker 1: He didn't say.
- 59:03Speaker 11: Absolutely not, no, he didn't blah blah blah blah blah.
- 59:06Speaker 11: He didn't even try to lie. He just didn't deny
- 59:08Speaker 11: it and said he was gonna give your cousin and
- 59:10Speaker 11: beat down. It looks like your husband is cheating. Not
- 59:14Speaker 11: if he's cheating, like you wrote in a letter, Steve,
- 59:19Speaker 11: that's what you need to wrap your mind around. Your
- 59:21Speaker 11: marriage is in trouble and I don't see how you're
- 59:24Speaker 11: going to get past this one. Let's see what kind
- 59:27Speaker 11: of lies we can come up with for this one, Steve, Well.
- 59:30Speaker 8: I don't think it's really got to be no lies,
- 59:32Speaker 8: because if I should analyze this letter properly, I mean,
- 59:36Speaker 8: let's go through this circumpedience. Times has this circumstance. See
- 59:44Speaker 8: we deal it with circumstance. Okay, watch how we do this.
- 59:51Speaker 8: This woman says that I'm a twenty nine year old
- 59:54Speaker 8: hopeless romantic. I got married too quickly to a man
- 59:57Speaker 8: that I barely knew. Now I don't know if this
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: is the definition of a hopeless romantic.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: This is not what this is. I think this is
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: called crazy. This may just be crazy.
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: He might not have nothing to do with you being
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: a hopeless romantic at all, because you married a man
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: you didn't hardly know what what what they got to
- 1:00:17Speaker 8: do with it? And I'm so disappointed in myself. Now
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: all your family's in your business. You say, you say
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: you met this man from another city y'all dated a
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: few months, came to visit me and never left. That
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: didn't sound st That doesn't seem strange to you. How
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: can a man come from another city visit you and
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: never go back? Where where he work, where he lived,
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: where his house? What's what's his least payment?
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: What?
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: What's it?
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: He ain't got no least, no way. What how you
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: just go visit and then don't go back. That's not
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: being a hopeless romantic. Something's wrong with this. He quickly
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: got a great job, okay, settled in, He got a
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: friend in town. He usually hanging out with him, or
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: he's at work. Then the lady said, I never suspected
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: he was cheating on me until three days ago. Now
- 1:01:20Speaker 8: here's what this whole letter is about. My cousin owns
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: the car wash and did I don't know why she
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: threw this in here. He specializes in wheels and detail
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: and leather seats.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: So I got a car washed.
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: Everybody got a car wash, wiping seats and doing wheels.
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: Everybody with a carwah. Anyway, my husband's escalade is his
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: pride and joy, so he gets it washed often. Here's
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: another precrryous line. I did not know he was going
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: off all the way across town to get his car washed.
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: What what difference do that make where he get his
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: car washed?
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: What?
- 1:02:10Speaker 8: Maybe it's because it's a great car wash. Remember your cousin,
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: specially life.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Has in wheels.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: And levers.
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: He went over there for a specialty, and all of
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: this was going good. Until you got a call from
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: your cousin's wife. When we come back, I will tell
- 1:02:29Speaker 8: you what's wrong with this whole letter, all.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Right, Steve? All right?
- 1:02:34Speaker 11: Hang on for part two of Steve's response, coming up
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: at twenty three minutes after the hour today Strawberry letter,
- 1:02:40Speaker 11: subject my cousin.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Owns the car wash. We'll get back into.
- 1:02:44Speaker 11: It right after this. It's time to talk about life insurance.
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: It's one of those things that everyone should have, and
- 1:02:54Speaker 11: Globe Life makes it easy with no medical exam, just
- 1:02:57Speaker 11: a simple application and coverage options up to one hundred
- 1:03:01Speaker 11: thousand dollars.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Get the coverage you need in twenty twenty five. Go
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: online at.
- 1:03:06Speaker 11: Globelifradio dot com or call one eight hundred two five
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: one fifty four hundred to apply in minutes. That's Globelifradio
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: dot com or one eight hundred two five one fifty
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: four hundred. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:03:23Speaker 11: Strawberry letter, the subject my cousin owns the car wash?
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Before I do this letter.
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: I've noticed a trend in Shuirle and I's responses to
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: these letters. If a man is accused of cheating, if
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: a man has circumstantial evidence about cheating. Then my partner
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: in crime, who we are supposed to give our own
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: opinions and separate, looks at this ninety eight percent of
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: the time, gonna ride his ass to the police station
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: and lock his ass up for cheat.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Absolutely, and in this letter.
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: There was no different ference. But I have several problems
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: with this letter, all right. So after she calls herself
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: a romantic, hopeless romantic, meets this guy, she barely news.
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: Guy leaves town one time, comes to visit her and
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: never goes back.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: That's odd. He gets a job quickly settles in.
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: She's embarrassed by this because now she met him, she
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: married a man she hardly knew, her family all up
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: in the business, and so everything is going right, and
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: she had no suspicions of him cheating until three days
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: ago when he took his car to a car wash
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: that specializes in wheels and leather seats. Okay, we got
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: that right. Now, she gets a call from her cousin's wife.
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: Now this is where the letter takes a turn. She
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: said that my husband bought his truck to the car
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: wash a few times, and he's always got interesting stains
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: and pieces of.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Weave all over the truck. This is what your cousin's
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: wife said.
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: You've never seen the weave in the truck, and you've
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: never seen any stains. Okay, that's just a fact. So
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: we're going based on what your cousin's wife told you.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Now, listen to this.
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: My cousin figured out that it's my husband's after he
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: saw a business card in the truck.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Now, and then here we go.
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: See, my cousin wasn't invited to my wedding because he's
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: on the ghetto side of my family, so he didn't
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: know my husband.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: This is very important information. She didn't invite that side
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: of the family because they ghetto.
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: Okay, then she says, I just hate that before my
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: cousin's wife called me, she called my mom and told
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: her that my husband has been having sex in his
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: truck and getting it cleaned afterwards.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Okay, how she know that, y'all?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I mean, really, the stains and the weave, the stains and.
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: The weed that the wife ain't never seen. You just
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: said they ghetto and you ain't invite them to the wedding.
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: Now I'm gonna show you something else in here. It
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: gets a little crazy.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: So that's because they didn't come from to the wedding.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: They didn't get no listen to this.
- 1:06:06Speaker 8: I asked my husband about the rumor, and he threatened
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: to fight my cousin and out him as a liar
- 1:06:11Speaker 8: and a bad businessman.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: As he should.
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: I assured him that my cousin is not the one
- 1:06:17Speaker 8: to be played with like that. Now this is good
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: information because you just said you did invite your husband
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: to the wedding because he ghetto.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: To the wedding because he ghetto.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: Okay, and so now this is a fair warner. If
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: you go over there and fight the dude that on
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: the car wash, go get your ass whooped. That's that's
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: what this is about. Get your ass whooping. But now
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: she's saying if he didn't cheat, whise he doing this?
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: But I assured him that my cousin is not the
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: one to be played with. Why would he be so upset.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: I don't see my husband hating. I don't see my
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: cousin hating on my husband for no reason since my
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: family knows can my marriage survive this?
- 1:07:05Speaker 12: Now?
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: I think you know that your family on that.
- 1:07:09Speaker 8: Side is messy, very that and this word has speculated
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: they had some stains and weave in the truck that
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: you've never seen, and now you ain't invite us to
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: the wedding, so you must thank you all that in
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: a bag of chips. So now let me show you
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: that you ain't all that. And I'm gonna tell your
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: mama he was having sex in the truck.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: How you know that what stains?
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: But see, just because she didn't see it, does that
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: mean that it didn't happen?
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: But so then you're going to en your marriage based
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: on that she has what stains, Shirley.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: The stains that a cousin saw in the back seat?
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: What was they say?
- 1:08:00Speaker 15: The corn?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Yeah, she didn't, she didn't specified because she.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: But see, hold up though, let me ask you something.
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: So does the cousin's wife work at the car.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Washing Well it sounds like she does.
- 1:08:21Speaker 8: Yeah, so if she ain't washing cars, how she knows
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: what's in the car? No doubt if he owned the
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: cars car washing that his wife is out there washing cars.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: I doubt that.
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: This reeks of hate for not being invited to the
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: web see y'all ruining your Well, look, you married the
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: man too soon. The man might be cheating, but you
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: go hat it on this speculation. You should have ended
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: it on something that you knew and not on hearsay.
- 1:08:53Speaker 8: And if you take it, if you took this to court,
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: you would lose. I just want to tell you that
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: because you have no evidence. You ain't seen no pictures
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: of it, you ain't went through his phone, you ain't
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: got no text messages. You getting a DNA report off
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: of forensic science. Hell for that, ain't even a forensic scienist.
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: All right, I don't think you might not be cheating
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: at all.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Sorry, Shure, and he might be. Sorry, Steve.

- 1:10:28Speaker 11: Like I'm not good enough, I'm overweight, or I'm too

- 1:10:52Speaker 2: not attractive though, Yes that's still unhealthy.
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: Oh I tell you was even more unhealthy. Looking in
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: the mirror at your ugly ass.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: And think that.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Is really unhealthy.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Denial that right there.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Has to stop.
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: Looking at that and all you see is cute. Come
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: on out that mirror, because now you're trying to force
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: upon those of us who know it's something that we're
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: not willing to accept.
- 1:11:30Speaker 11: But you don't consider yourself attractive. And Tommy thinks he's
- 1:11:33Speaker 11: dropped dead gorgeous.
- 1:11:35Speaker 9: Fine, and I'm not gonna quit thinking this way, and
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: I'm sorry, I'm not doing it.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I'm not gonna.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Just say you're in denial.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: I don't care what he's ugly behind. See, see, we
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: got a problem here.
- 1:11:51Speaker 8: We're trying to understand where Tommy coming from, because.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: He's dealing with it.
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: You know, like like you can have a spraying arm,
- 1:12:05Speaker 8: you can have a fraction arm, you can have a
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: broken arm, and you can compound fraction. Tommy's dealing with
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: a compound fractor.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I knew you were gonna say, I knew you were so.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Short and other whoa Okay, okay, let me say on
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: to cuteness.
- 1:12:29Speaker 8: Let me say this, when the last time has he
- 1:12:32Speaker 8: heard anybody say, hey, with your little cute ass.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: I went to the chiropractice.
- 1:12:40Speaker 8: Oh okay, yes, yes, and I have been I have
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: been stretched, I have been.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Realigned, and I am now five ten and a half.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: I am. Now I've been elongated. I've been elongated. Leave that.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I'm telling you you ain't got the lackry.
- 1:13:03Speaker 13: You know what you know?
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: When we get off, When we get off to that
- 1:13:05Speaker 9: is one, I'm gonna measure my height and take a
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: picture of it.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Right, I'm take a picture.
- 1:13:10Speaker 8: Can stand up on this zoom. If you stand up
- 1:13:19Speaker 8: on your zoom, you'll still be in this.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: All right, we gotta go. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, so Steve, listen up. This
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: one's from J R. From Raleigh, North Carolina.
- 1:13:34Speaker 9: Jr.
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: Rights Hi, Steve, Tommy Junior. I'm forty nine years old
- 1:13:38Speaker 11: and I cook for a living. I do it big
- 1:13:41Speaker 11: for Christmas, and this year I smoked them multiple turkeys
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: and two hams. I make gumbo, jambalaya, barbecue ribs, and
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: chicken fried, chicken fried catfish, and all the side dishes.
- 1:13:54Speaker 11: My wife and I invited the same eighteen family members
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: like we do every year, but this year we did
- 1:14:01Speaker 11: something a little different. We charged five dollars per person
- 1:14:06Speaker 11: to offset our food costs, especially since our rude family
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: members invite other people over to eat. I almost got
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: to fighting with two of my cousins over five dollars?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Was it rude to charge them five dollars?
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: No?
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: No, no, I'd have whooped their ass. They talking about
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: fighting over this time.
- 1:14:24Speaker 8: I mean for real, but you're gonna come over here
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: and eat, and I'm charging five dollars per person. I'd
- 1:14:28Speaker 8: have cooked all this food is all you can eat, smogage, bail,
- 1:14:33Speaker 8: you know, all this ham, turkeys, all this here, private catfish, bobecue.
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: All the sides we got all set to cost you,
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: do you know?
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: And then y'all bring extra people. WHI y'all because everybody
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: know you can cook. Five dollars a personate a bad
- 1:14:47Speaker 8: thing to do. Man, It wasn't bad at all.
- 1:14:49Speaker 14: Man.
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: Everybody should have said, you know what, you spending a
- 1:14:51Speaker 8: lot of money? You doing all the label five dollars
- 1:14:55Speaker 8: ain't nothing if you ain't got five dollars. Man, I'm
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: pretty sure you just said, well, if you ain't got
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: it this year, man, hype me up, but don't come
- 1:15:01Speaker 8: here talking about I ain't paying, you ain't getting in.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: And on top of that, they take food with them
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: when they leave.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, that's true. Five dollars I haven't heard of
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: this before.
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: Well I haven't either, but but I mean, I think
- 1:15:17Speaker 8: if you tell them before they get there, that's the question.
- 1:15:21Speaker 8: I think that's better than when they got there, that
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: it's a cover. Yeah, because five dollars. Man, I'm gonna need,
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: you know, some poles in the house and stuff. You know,
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: I'm gonna cash out me before you walk in here.
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: You're gonna cash out.
- 1:15:43Speaker 10: Venmo multiple turkeys too much.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: I am really mad at him, though I think it's fair.
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: I think it's really good if he did to be
- 1:15:54Speaker 8: told them before they come. He listen, y'all, I'll spend
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: a lot of money every year just to help me
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: off at the cost not just everybody would just chipping
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: five dollars per person. It's all you can eat, y'all know,
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: y'all be taking places and stuff. Everybody would understood that.
- 1:16:09Speaker 11: Me. Do you think this is a trend because a
- 1:16:12Speaker 11: lot of people do the same thing and invite people
- 1:16:14Speaker 11: over in charge them.
- 1:16:16Speaker 8: Now, if you invite people over, or if your house
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: is the designated house for holiday cheer, then people gotta
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: start understanding it's a costs come.
- 1:16:26Speaker 10: With that cleaning colls gotta come in.
- 1:16:29Speaker 12: Yeah, he says something you usually when someone invites you somewhere,
- 1:16:34Speaker 12: you usually bring a gift bottle of wine and ask
- 1:16:37Speaker 12: them what they need.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: So yeah, well yeah, yeah, yeah. A lot of families
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 1:16:43Speaker 8: Yeah, I see drinking, that's what they do. I'd have
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: been over my brother's house a whole lot of times.
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: Ain't bring a damn thing but me.
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: Yeah, it is, it is.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: And this this was eighteen, so eighteen by five eighteen
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: times five is what junior. I do it big for Christmas?
- 1:17:10Speaker 11: He said, I smoked a couple of turkeys, two hands,
- 1:17:13Speaker 11: gumbo John Belia barbecue ribs.
- 1:17:16Speaker 16: That's a lot.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: About yeah by.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: That didn't even cover the cost of food. Really yeah,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: because you got shrimp in that gump, jump in that gumbow.
- 1:17:31Speaker 5: And had them.
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: Some turkeys alone, had them two turkeys in their hands.
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: That's ninety yeah icee right.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Is expensive? Gross?
- 1:17:44Speaker 10: Yeah, charge yeah, we charging this year, this year we
- 1:17:48Speaker 10: charged space charging.
- 1:17:51Speaker 11: Jay R from Raleigh, North Carolina had started something five
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: dollars get ready this year Christmas is in eleven.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: Up to fifteen or twenty though, to be real, he said.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Really a lot of money.
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:18:08Speaker 11: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:18:11Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Let's go
- 1:18:17Speaker 11: to Miss JD from South Carolina. She has a question
- 1:18:20Speaker 11: Steve about second marriages.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Hey, I'm calling from South Carolina.
- 1:18:25Speaker 8: JB.

- 1:19:32Speaker 11: No.
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: God is a forgiving God. It's called grace and mercy.
- 1:19:36Speaker 8: He's extending it to all of us for all the
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: mistakes we can possibly make.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: Who told you that?
- 1:19:41Speaker 5: What?
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: What's your daughter talking about? What scripture does she read?
- 1:19:49Speaker 5: Now?
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: I don't believe in second marriages. I believe in.

- 1:22:47Speaker 2: Jacket.
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: Yeah, and then put all my badges on my shirt
- 1:22:53Speaker 8: that night.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: You couldn't be.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:23:05Speaker 11: Would you rather be President of the United States for
- 1:23:07Speaker 11: a week? President for a week? Or would you rather
- 1:23:10Speaker 11: be a billionaire for a week?
- 1:23:13Speaker 5: B B.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Hen steal some of that money in that week. I'm
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: gonna go back to it.

- 1:24:15Speaker 12: With hundreds of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Sticky messes with ease.

- 1:24:25Speaker 12: Get yours today and mop smarter with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: It's been a good day. We've had fun today.
- 1:24:36Speaker 8: Me too, Well, remark too, that's gonna be my clothes
- 1:24:42Speaker 8: remark because I'm I want to share with people the
- 1:24:44Speaker 8: difference between fun and joy.
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: Okay, because there was a difference and I had to
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: learn this.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Oh me too.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: So here we go.
- 1:24:59Speaker 8: You know, as I was growing up, just like most
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: of us, we had a daily quest when we were young.
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: As children, we only had one mission in life after school.
- 1:25:13Speaker 8: We wanted to go play. On Saturdays and Sundays, I
- 1:25:19Speaker 8: want to go play. I could not wait to go outside.
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: I wanted to go out in the snow. I wanted
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: to play because it was fun. Now, what I didn't
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: know was there should be a cutoff point for having
- 1:25:34Speaker 8: fun in your life.
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: But oh no, not me.
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: I took it too far. I took fun to college.
- 1:25:43Speaker 8: Now I know everybody that went to college, WHOA, we
- 1:25:45Speaker 8: had a blast. I had too much of a blast.
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: And then after college kept on trying to have fun.
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: There's a cutoff point to fun. And the thing I
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: learned about it was, see fun, you have to go
- 1:26:00Speaker 8: do something, or go somewhere, or be around a certain
- 1:26:05Speaker 8: people in order to have it.
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: To go have fun, you have to manufacture it.
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: You have to buy a ticket, you have to be
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: at a certain place, you have to drink a certain amount,
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: you gotta be around the people that are smoking this.
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: Now you can have fun if you make it to
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: this party right here, we gonna have so much fun.
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: And you keep looking for fun, But if you think
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: about fun, man, it's always manufactured. It's something you gotta
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: be doing, seen doing. You gotta be somewhere or thought
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: of somewhere. It's always the case in having fun and
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: fun is always short lived.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: You know, fun never lasts a long time.
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: You never hear anybody say, well, I just have fun, fun, fun, fun,
- 1:26:58Speaker 8: fun for fun don't lasts a long time. It's a
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: very fleeting thing. And I was teaching my sons about
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: fun one day because we were in Vegas and they
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: were going out, and I told them, I said, be
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: careful out there, man, I'm going to the room. Dad,
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: y'all come on, man, we're gonna have some fun. I said,
- 1:27:13Speaker 8: listen to me. We've had a full night, went to
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: see the fight. Everything was good, and now you're gonna
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: go out here. Man, I'm gonna just tell you right now,
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: it's dangerous out there. Be careful, Oh dad, We're gonna
- 1:27:25Speaker 8: have some fun. I've discovered something about fun. If you stay,
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: if you keep having fun, there's a time limit to fun.
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: If you stay at the club till it closed, it
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: ain't finna be fun no more. If you drinking and
- 1:27:41Speaker 8: you feel a buzz, but you keep on drinking, it
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: ain't fit to be fun no more. If you at
- 1:27:49Speaker 8: a sporting event and everybody going out the parking lot,
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: but you y'all still try to have fun. State is
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: not finna be fun no more. Because fun I discovered.
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: I taught my children that night. Fun is an acronym.
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: F you in is an acronym, and I taught it
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: to him. I said, son, if you keep having fun
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: too long, it's effed up. Now, that's what fun stands for.
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: Too much fun and it's efed up now, boy, they laughed,
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: they laughed. They went out that night in Vegas. The
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: next morning I saw him. They looked dishevel They're in
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: bad shape. Said what happened?
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Dad?
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: We was at the club. Man dude got shot and killed.
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: Then the police surround the building. We stayed in there.
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:28:35Speaker 8: We ain't get home too five thirty. You know why,
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: because they was having fun and too much fun. It
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: got fed up.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Now f you in.
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: It's fed up now, and that's what fun is. They said, Dad,
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: what about you? I said, I'd like to have joy.
- 1:28:52Speaker 8: They said, what's the difference between joy and fun? I said,
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: Joy is a feeling that I have on the inside
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: that resides in me most of the time. And when
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: I'm with myself, within myself or by myself. I found
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: that I have a residing peace in me that gives
- 1:29:12Speaker 8: me a certain joy that I enjoy being alone. I
- 1:29:16Speaker 8: just enjoy just being with my girl. That's joy to me.
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: That I can sit up and watch my grandchildren play.
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: That I can take my family on vacation and watch
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: them enjoy thyself. That puts a joy in me. That
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: joy that I have is not manufactured or superficial. The
- 1:29:34Speaker 8: joy that I have, that residing peace is because I
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: have a relationship with God. God has given me the
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: peace that I have in my life today. I wish
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: I had discovered this years ago. I could have saved
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: myself a world of trouble, but I didn't because I
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: was like a lot of people. I was pursuing fun,
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: trying to have it as many times as I could
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: on to have fun. If I could have understood about
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: this residing piece, that it's okay to be with me,
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: that I don't need a bunch of outside stimulation to
- 1:30:12Speaker 8: feel good anymore. That I can sit back, close my
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: eyes and be grateful and find joy. That I can
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: sit up and just watch TV and be in perfect
- 1:30:22Speaker 8: peace and joy. That I can walk around and ride
- 1:30:26Speaker 8: my bike or walk down to the river and just
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: have joy. I could put my headsets on and listen
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: to some music and just have joy. Joy to me,
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: is better than having fun. That's the difference though, between
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: fun and joy. One is manufactured and one is provided
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: with an everlasting piece and relationship with God. If I
- 1:30:53Speaker 8: was you, I look for some of that joy you
- 1:30:54Speaker 8: feel me. Those are my closing remarks today. I hope
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: you got something out of it.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: If not, don't worry.
- 1:31:00Speaker 8: We'll be back tomorrow, God willing. Maybe you'll like that
- 1:31:03Speaker 8: one now, But in the meantime, y'all see yourself a
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: favor here.
